There's almost nothing to this. It's a faint skin scent within minutes. The barest hints of notes. Nothing compared to the 2015 Vetiver which I read was a shadow of the 2008 version. The management reserves the right to limit quality.

tried it out in a shop (when they were still physically open) and instantly knew it's for me. Exhilarating, fresh and kind of sweetish smell but not unpleasantly sweet, not at all. Reminds me of a mist fuming from the soil after a warm summer rain, right when the sun starts shining. Best enjoyed from late spring till early autumn.

Ginger and to a lesser extent iris is prominent in the opening, hence the connection to one of the 3 versions of Dior Homme Sport. There is a faint resemblance to Givenchy Insense Ultramarine, ditto YSL Y. Both of those scents are significantly more complex than this though. The vetiver is later blooming here, which is an odd choice for an eponymous scent. It's all spice for quite a while before it starts to settle down. Not a crowd pleaser as others have said, great pick me up energizing scent that won't fume you out. Works better in cold weather.

Pungent, vegetal, headache-inducing.

Unfortunately not for me. Very potent though

I don't smell much similarity to Encre Noire Sport. This opens with ginger and stays like that for around two hours. It does not project very strongly. There is a base of sweetness (kind of vetivery) under the ginger that you can smell more as the ginger fades. Not bad, but also not great and it is kind of weak.
Also it's being phased out right now. If you like this go to your Zara before they're all gone, I saw them at over 50% discount (January 2020).

Opening reminds me of Prada Water Splash.

I guess this is going to be an actual frag rant... due to the nonsense I read in the comments.
I have a full bottle of this. I used it and left it macerate/mature for about a month or so.
Just to make this review I have put 2 fresh sprays of ZaraRV on one hand and 2 fresh sprays of Encre Noir Sport (no one is questioning the vetiver content of this, right?) on the other hand. I did not have any trick used on my skin to improve frag performance.
From the start ENS goes to vetiver business as expected. ZaraRV starts a bit sweater, due to the ginger and iris. Make no mistake. I used my words with intention. It is sweatER compared to ENS, not sweet in general. After about 10 minutes the vetiver comes forward and becomes the dominant note while being tempered by the ginger and iris. Due to this it never gets to the level of ENS, but after about 30 minutes they are actually close. Not the same, just close. We can almost call it the "office-friendly" version of Encre Noir Sport.
About longevity... I had this on this morning. 1-1 spray each side of the neck and 4 sprays just under the neckline of my shirt. I went outside for 20 minute walk, to the gym. Had a 1 hour elliptic trainer session, walked home, another 20 mins. Did some rest. Still could smell it without intentionally trying to. Looking back at the comparison testing mentioned above, ZaraRV did keep up perfectly with ENS. ZaraRV costs less, 20% more juice and more versatile. There are a lot of more expensive frags out there with less juice and less performance.

And what is this complete gibberish about being a clone of Teahupoo? I have Teahupoo, I used it during the summer as it's a great, sweet-aquatic high-heat summer scent. It's sweet-aquatic and ZaraRV is one of the least sweet Zara frags I have. And I have a few...
Seoul...couldn't be bothered to buy it even for 13USD. ZaraRV is almost twice the price and did not hesitate for a minute.

Summary:
Vetiver: YES
Fresh: YES
Sweet: NO
Seoul/Teahupoo: NO
Performance: AVERAGE

Buy this if you enjoy fragrances for what they are. Not a crowd pleaser so it can disappear any time from Zara stores never to re-appear. Don't waste time. It's not going to be cheaper. It's already cheap!

Skip it if you just want 4-6 frags to cover all types of social occasions. As mentioned, this is not exactly a crowd pleaser.

is it similar to orange zest or similar to invictus?

Faint suggestion of vetiver in the initial spray, nearly undetectable in the dry down which happens in minutes. Not what you'd expect from the supposed basenote and name of the fragrance. It's a fresh but fleeting skin scent within an hour. I'm waiting for Zara to treat vetiver with the respect they did a decade ago.
