I had the pleasure of visiting the boutique in Barcelona. I sniffed the entire collection, and I loved this one the most. The date note was most prominent in the opening, then Jasmine, then finally Cedar/Musk. I just didn’t like the final dry down on my skin as it went a bit dull after a couple of hours. However, I’m still smelling it on my skin and the strip after 8hrs, and I find an odd resemblance with YSL Libre at this final stage of my scent journey with this fragrance. Not full bottle worthy for me personally, as it didn’t work with my chemistry.

Most fun experience: reading comments about this fragrance and comparing them to my experience!

I can't believe that my impression of this perfume is so different. At first smell (blind test) it seems sweet, molasses-ish, almost boozy (but not in an unpleasant way!). I was 100% sure that the top notes would include spun sugar or brown sugar, rum or something similar. But no - pineapple, dates and raspberries.😬

I have to admit that I don't smell any fruity notes, just a pleasant sweetness. No freshness, acidity, no sourness whatsoever. Maybe thanks to the dates? When overripe, pineapple smells and tastes like nail polish remover... maybe this created this boozy aura?😅

After a while, maybe I can smell something pine-like and evergreen, and jasmine or velvety orchid there in the background. I definitely feel the hints of extras to sweetness as floral or herbal, not fruity.

Now, a few hours after application, I can't say that the initial composition has changed much, maybe those floral and green notes are slowly breaking through, but really subtly. I'm waiting for the spectacular drydown that many people write about in the comments.

To me, this is not a bad smell at all! It does not offend my nose, the combination of notes is harmonious, non-aggressive and pleasant...

Along with Siesta, which is much more masculine, woody&smokey in the drydown, and my husband's favorite choice, this is another fine Monegal fragrance. I believe it would be more acceptable to women than Siesta.

Instantly one of my favs-- deep and rich- luxurious. Starts a bit fruity but gives way to a creamy, lovely scent trail....Lasts forever..

All I got were wood chips and fir. This scent is so weird, not in a wonderful way.

I really don't have a single nice thing to say about this fragrance, which is very rare. It truly is pungent and gag-inducing. It's the first fragrance I've ever worn that has garnered complaints.

Fragility

Mistakenly sprayed this instead of Siesta not knowing what Ole was about. It’s sicky-floral-sweet, I imagine venus fly traps would emanate this sort of smell if they were really on the planet Venus if it was inhabited by life. Longevity is out of this world too.

dilettante

Powerful sweet fruity aromatic perfume. The bottle I received was damaged and had leaked in transit. I mention just because it might be a manufacturing defect rather than anything else. The packaging was solid, undamaged box etc. I do like the smell although a tad screeechy.

This to me smells like Juianna's Perfumes Liquid Gold, which is an inspiration of Gentle Fluidity Gold by Maison Francis Kurkdijian. Liquid Gold is already strong, but this is even stronger! That says a lot right there. I couldn't stand it from how strong it was. I do not find anything remotely coniferous with it (just like with Liquid Gold). I was like: "Where's the conifer?" Oh, and when I went to wash it off, It only washed off 50%. It is very persistent. It gets strong marks on staying power and sillage. Just one spray on one wrist and that created strong wafts as I moved my arm. The opening is very confusing and strange until it settles into something more coherent but still overwhelming. I couldn't handle it.

¿OLÉ?

Imagine a typical Antonio Banderas fragrance. Something like Blue Seduction or King of
Seduction ... Take it apart and raise every single note to the power of 9. Add them all up and multiply the result by 5, then square it. Now imagine that thing charging at you like an angry bull!

¡Olé!

I was expecting Ole to be the standout in the parade during my latest flyby of Harrods but nope, surprise again in the World of Niche - it was Flamenco.

This was the standout for disappointment. A lesson in judging books by their covers.

The notes (and many reviews here) gave me the imagery of a juicy lush cut pineapple all ripened in the sun on a wooden board. Juice dripping down it sides etc.

But no. Nope. Reality was - woodchips. A pungent, odd and indifferent vaguely 'fruity' 'powder' juxtaposed with weird 'rubbery' elements. The 'fruit' seemed more like peaches than any pineapples which leant an even more generic slant and where I tried try I did get 'pineapple' but one of those cheaply made ''packaged dried fruit'' versions.

The whole thing came off dry, woody and just devoid of all the life and 'pop' I expected from the presentation and flavor texts.

In the end - it ends up being more akin to a pot-pourri, the big no-no for me for any scent. It's neither succeeded as a Summer scent (as far from it as you can get lol), nor a Winter comfort Oriental. Very awkward blend.

One of the most disappointing 'on paper heros' I've ever met. I'll give it an extra 2 bonus marks just for the Wonderful bottle however, since I'm being that generous here.

My rating: 4/10.

Incredible fragrance and it last forever on the skin! Pure love!! For some reason, even though it has different notes (fruits) it reminds me a little bit of Kirké by Tiziana Terenzi. They are different, but they share a fruity, sweet, longlasting DNA, although Olé is a bit more intense. Masterpiece!

The name of this fragrance is spot on. It's all about an Olé ! vibe.
I like it, it is very fruity, playful, while being complex and deep in the dry down. Definitely a mass appealing fragrance that will turn heads for an evening out.
The performance is Olé ! too :p.

Definitely green, definitely fresh. I thought I was rocking this at the office one day, until one of my colleagues said to me: "Can you go sit in my car for 10 minutes? You smell like those car pine air fresheners and I just spilled some tuna salad." Womp-womp-womp :)...Eh, whatever, I still like it, lol.
I get the blast of pineapple/raspberry and of course the fir. I probably like this a bit more than Flamenco, to be honest; just be mindful of its monstrous projection. if you're a 5-sprayer, don't go more than 2-3 tops.

Marie76

This is incredible, addictive, powerful- with a blast of pineapple and then that licorish intoxicating smell fo the black orchid. The amber is dark and gorgeous, but the top notes linger and make this a joyful and happy smell, not an imposing one. I simply cannot stop sniffing myself. Good village and longevity. It's like the adult version of a candy shop. Happy and carefree but grown up and decisive.

Ole to Ramon Monegal, yet another masterpiece. Is there a foot he can put wrong?

Ole' is a giant fruit bowl mashup leading to a multi-car crash on my skin. Too sweet, like a grape soda on my skin. Clearly it smells good on some people, but not on me.

This is a weird fragrance. Upon application you will say "ugh". Out of the 15 niche fragrances I sprayed on my arm, this one has the best drydown. I vaguely detect pineapple. In fact, I sense a lot of date. I'm not sure anybody has any long term experience with this fragrance. I do have a bottle. The review I agree with is the reviewer who mentioned herbal. I don't detect much sweetness, as in the cloying type. This is a fragrance that lasts 14 hours on my skin. The drydown is intoxicating. To my nose, there is nothing luxurious about this fragrance, as someone else has mentioned. It's a fragrance that shines in the drydown, but the opening is weird and unappealing. I get 5 minutes of "ugh" and 14 hours of sniffing my arm.

debonairperfume

It is the most luxurious and long lasting pineapple perfume that I often use.

Emorandeira

Ole is overall about pinneaple. However It is very different to aventus. This is more fruity, is not smoky at all and is sweeter. The opening has a very noticeable pinneaple that during the dry down fades a little bit down. The date and the Raspberry come with the pinneaple . The dry down is more flowery with the Jasmine and the orchid over a Woody and sweet back with the fir, the vanilla and the musk. The smell is very nice although not very original.
The performance is average. Longevity is not bad (about 6-9 hours on skin) but the projection is not very strong. This is more for a personal enjoying and It sets very close ti the skin. Anyway It is a great fragance with a good quality of ingredients. This is a perfume for short distances, for example for dates, very subtle and i think better for daytime. Good aso for spring ir summer wearing. Totally unisex.

This has been reformulated
It’s unisex leaning feminine. The new juice is weak. Projection and sillage are good for 2 hours then dies down to skin scent for 8 hours.
For 50 ml at this price I expect much more.
Not worth the $$$ in my opinion

Deetron

Very well made fruity, creamy, woody perfume! Super crafty mix of juicy pineapple, sexy musk, heavenly creamy jasmine and soft and rounded woody vibes. The whole impression is for complex, expensive, alluring and rich fragrance. There is also extremely well put delicious/yummy accord who made the composition even more attractive without being too sweet or aggressive. I love it! Modern masterpiece!

Kind of screams generic candle from Crate & Barrel. I really wanted to like it from the note breakdown but on the skin, it's not anything overly unique or interesting. I'd say it leans slightly feminine but men could pull it off easily. Longevity is higher than average. Sillage is above average too. A pass for me.

Q80

Sweet herbal cedar.

It has raspberry, vanilla, cedar, dates, orchid, & balsam fir. It's not cloying sweet but bit over sweetened somehow. It has as well pineapple.

It reminds me somehow of "Flamingo" with the sweetness minus the saffron. Fair.

I was sent a tester of this because something else I requested was out of stock. I tried it out today and wow, is it ever strong. Two hours later, *after* trying to wash it off with water (and not having put much on to begin with), it still smells *very* strong. Now that I see the components of it, I can see how it could make sense for some people. However, to me it comes together as a rather muddy and overly smoky/woody heavy scent, something I don't personally care for. It smells like I was eating a piece of fruit in a smoking lounge where everyone was smoking good quality vanilla-soaked cigars for a long time. Not wanting to smell like a cigar, I will pass. But if you can interpret as a balsam-wood heavy fruit sort of thing, perhaps it will work for you. I could see this working better for men than many women. And it does last!

Edited to add that I could still smell it the next day. Wow.

Bubbles1964

Spectacular opening, with a tart berry and a sticky pineapple accord. I was so excited. After 20 minutes everything went south on my skin. The starburst like opening turned into a synthetic melange of indistinguishable notes. Too sweet and headache inducing, I went to bed yesterday and had to take an aspirin with me.

I woke up and thought I’ll try again.

One thing I know: this juice has extreme stamina and projection. If you are a fan of Montale or Mancera, you will probably love Ole; I am not. I cannot wear anything from either brand. I have sampled dozens and they all cause headaches. I think it must be the aroma chemicals used in the compositions, and I recognize similar ones in this Ramon Monegal perfume. Bummer.

A few weeks ago I tried Impossible Iris by Ramon Monegal, then ordered a discovery sample set. Although I thought Impossible Iris was beautiful, it’s not a perfume that matches my style. Still the samples arrived this week in a beautiful, but fussy presentation: a luxurious black and yellow die cut butterfly box. Really well done and impressive, I wish my first wearing had a better outcome.

Ole is not what I expected, similar to how I feel about everything I’ve tried from Montale. Way over the top, this makes me feel like I’ve been dipped in a vat of solvents.

I was torn between Ole and Flamenco when I had to choose one offering from Ramon Monegal. Both came in fabulous looking flacon. But at the end of the day I chose Ole over Flamenco because of the dry down.

Both of them are fruity and wonderful, however as for Flamenco, I ever smelled the dry down somewhere before, while Ole offered something totally new to me.

So this os a very fruity perfume, sweet but balanced by the fir balsam, which for me giving a bit of dusty aspect for the dry down, which makes Ole also suitable for men (sometimes men shy away from fruity and floral fragrance).

The first notes I detected were dates and raspberry. Then the wood came out to play with hint of flowers. The base came out after around 10-15 minutes which brought about the dusty effect, sweet but dusty, totally new to me. And it stays like that for around 8-10 hours lifespan with strong to moderate silage.

ResinBay

This opens up with a huge blast of very juicy and realistic pineapple, but doesn’t smell anything like Aventus. The Pineapples is accompanied by other fruits including dates and even a slight hint of grapes.

The pineapple stays for around an hour and then makes way for the florals and vanilla. The base is rounded off very nicely with musk and compliments the florals very well.

The projection and longevity of this fragrance is outstanding, having applied to my skin 18 hours ago I can still smell it easily and it was projecting very well throughout a trip to Nando’s last night.

Definitely worth a try fro all fragheads in my opinion and easily unisex.
