I had to wait to review this one because I was on the fence. At first I didn’t think I liked it but kept sneaking a spray when I walked by. I’m sure I’m going to knock someone out with this because I quickly go anosmic sadly and can’t tell if I’m overspraying. My husband hasn’t said he can taste my perfume yet with this one (a frequent statement when I’m too heavy handed) so I think I’m okay.

Anyway, it’s very sweet and I get the caramel. Definitely oud, but not barnyard or skanky oud, just a sweet woodiness that grounds the fragrance. A little of the rose, a little of the saffron, don’t really get the pimento.

I do like it. I haven’t worn it out yet, but have enjoyed wearing it around the house so far!

I wanted a fragrance that smell Like oud but I didn't want any spice because I'm not into it, but rather than that, I prefer something sweet, so I opted for This fragrance, Oud Mood, absolutely amazing, I did the best choice, man it hits different, it's so loud and the performance is a beast, The Oud is always on top and you smell switeness with it, sometimes I smell Oud+floral and sometimes Oud+Caramel, if you don't like sweet fragrances just skip this one, for me it's not feminine at all, whenever people hear or smell Rose or Florals, they immediately think it's for Women, but that's not the case, even though it's sweet but the Oud does it's part to make it balanced. highly recommend for those who wants a classical Arabian sweet fragrance.

Mrsknowitall

Very strong, All I can smell is roses and Oud and I hate both notes coz It makes the perfume feel cheap and synthetic

Alwaysmelldivine29

It’s such a beautiful fragrance. I got it as a gift from my boyfriend. It is a dupe for oud bouquet by Lancome. It is not for people who do not like strong scents. It smells like roses, our and pralines. Oud bouquet is better but this one is amazing because of the price. Good value for sure. I will be repurchasing this.

Another blind buy at recommendation of my favourite Youtube reviewer. My first, out-there-fragrance, I stepped outside on my boundaries and wanted to try something new.

The packaging & bottle is gorg! The circular box and braided gold rope had me feeling like I was releasing Alaadin. It was love & first sight.

First spray, I could smell alcohol, in the realm of a very fine port. I don't mind the smell but don't want to smell boozy.

When the fragrance sat for 10 minutes I was introduced to a beautiful mix of oud, patchouli, and sex.

I was immersed in a bed of silk pillows, the night was crisp but the sky clear and I was dazzled by a world of stars.

My lover is sated, naked & snoring softly. I kiss his forehead gently and this is the fragrance I smell as the sheet rises and our...

Errrrrp. Fantasy End. Note to Self: don't wear this to work! Sexy-sexy time only.

This opened up with very sharp alcohol smelling oud. Immediately followed by a nice rose that isn’t too jammy, caramel, and some spiciness. Give it 5-10 mins and the alcohol scent simmers down. Sharpness still there but it’s becoming subtle, sometimes Oud can come off this way. As it dries down it becomes a lot more ambery with a bit of smokiness. All the other notes still very much present. My coworker said it smells like a candy shop, and didn’t think it was too feminine for a man. The Patchouli adds a nice masculine touch. Projection is beast mode so I wouldn’t overspray this one. 2-3 sprays should be sufficient. Cold weather, formal leaning.

Not a safe blind buy unless you’re really into the rose oud combination.

Tyn

At first gave it gave me the impression of an "old person" smell, but after it macerated for 1 year...damn it is has changed, i feel the caramel now, the incense and the rose, but I also get some dried forest fruits notes as well. Don't get it as a blind buy !:D

Bleenders

I purchased the sample and it will stay as just a sample. Not a fan at all. Maybe I'll try smelling it again next year 😂

ItsYunè

I really like this. The first time I tried the tester at the fragrance store I didn’t like it but I think their tester had been out in the sun for long lol. However, I tried it a year later and I bought it on the spot. Sprayed myself once to test its lasting power at 2:30pm. It’s now 1 am the next day and it’s still on me. That’s 10+ hours👏🏽 8/10 and for me that’s super high ranking.

Sabrina_A

This is my FAVOURITE oud-scent EVER! It is soooooo good! It stays on the skin for hours and hours and the scent only gets better with time. It is not a safe blind-buy but if you LOVE oud-scents then you need to get this one. It’s a BEAST!

YoungJ

I think many people love this perfume but it was not for me so I had to sell it. I sprayed but it was wayyy to overpowering and sharp, I feel so nauseous. Very unfortunate.

Malabranca

First impressions: The opening is very sharp, some pimento and saffron, dominated by oud and caramel. On the drydown it develops into a smooth incense with a faint oud note. It's not overly sweet or strong to my nose.

As with all Lattafa perfumes, it will need to macerate to develop fully. I will write another review after some months.

Giulia23

Holy smokes. I blind bought it and instantly fell in love. This perfume is a VERY sweet one. It has two of my all time favorite notes in a perfume. Patchouli and Oud. ANY perfume that has these two notes lasts on my skin and chlotes insanely well. It's a very sweet perfume, I can smell the caramel and the oud in the opening, and then slowly the patchouli, saffron and amber. There is some darkness to this perfume, I would say it's a very sexy scent perfect for a night out. It lasts on my skin for days at a time. And it is so affordable, payed 20$ for it. Lattafa has been killing it with their fragrances. 10/10

Norasjisic

This is how I imagine Cleopatra smelling like, I’m not sure why (maybe it’s the bottle and the incense) but it’s a warm sweet smell, not its a beautiful scent once you get past the opening and I might love this more when the colder seasons come around, for now it’s a like.

Chynaally

When you first spray it, it has a woody, spicy and incense scent. I'm going to be honest its not love at first spray. When it dries down that's when you can smell mostly caramel. Its more of an anytime winter and fall scent, but i do wear it at night during spring and summer. I like it

x3tina

95% similar to My Geisha - Foreplay. Smells almost the same , but this one is not so strong. Very good for the price

Jarka1987

Let it macerate before judging..I got a sample firts and first hated it byť after time loved IT so I got a full bottle for like absurd low price and first was disapointed but I remembered that it needs to sit a bit and now I'm in love...this is one of those comforting warm smells for my, it's rich, cosy and aromatic...give it a chance

deancatcher

My first spray, I was not happy. It was so sharp and overpowering. It was probably my first buy that I was disappointed in. BUT I let it macerate for a bit, and now I love it. It's a fragrance I usually like to spray on before bed. To me it smells warm and soothing. I'm so glad I let it sit for a bit!

Abdo7168

Oh god smelling this gave me so much memories. I have Resala by Arabian oud and this is the same without it being chocking. I had resala from 2015 and still have it, compared both and they are so similar but obviously resala lasting forever. I can see this as a western adaption to oud fragrances. Would be a nice blind buy if you are searching for a new out of the radar scent 9/10

darkgiu

I'm in love with this fragrance, it's so sweet but at the same time dark and deep.... Intoxicating!

I don't like the design of the bottle neither the name.. There are so many fragrances with the name oud. I would have called it "Sweet Abyss" .. And I would have used a black bottle but with soft and curvy lines 😎

Mr. Syahir

This is a wonderful blend of sweet, spicy, floral and caramel. I blind buy this fragrance and not disappointed at all. Its remind of chopard oud malaki because of the sweet and spicy Oud. Bare in mind this is not a safe blind buy for all as this perfume may be harsh for some nose. For the Oud lovers, this one is a must try and add into your collections.

EKG

The perfect oud! This is such a solid oud scent and perfect for oud lovers and also those that are new to it. I usually layer this with another Lattafa (usually a sweeter one) just to bring some more depth and complexity but it is also beautiful on its own. Smoky oud, caramel, rose, saffron, woods, spices…this perfume has it all and I’m here for it. Lattafa has quickly become my new favorite perfume house and with good reason: high quality perfumes, beautiful packaging and presentation and very affordable price point!

Briannapremium

My favorite perfume of all time. I’ve had people complain in elevators because it was so strong, which is my goal. It’s very unique smelling, almost a gourmand but not quite. The pimento note is one of my favorites in any perfume, and I think it fits in beautifully with the wood, sweetness, and spice present in this one.

Kayfragrances

Too mature acent as oud is very adult-y. Terrible scent imo. Performance is very good. Rose, chili, icense was too strong and ruined it.

LLizzy

She's a compliment getter. I layered it with Sugar Plum Fig by Victoria's Secret.

Letmeregister

The only thing that I can smell is sweet cough syrup and incense. It makes me sick to my stomach. I let it sit for a month and it just got even worse. Thankfully I managed to sell it.

JamesPawn

smells the same as Maahir Lattafa . tried to give it away as a gift and they didnt want it said it was too strong

DarthFragrance

I picked up a bottle of this recently and I think it smells great. I wore Oud Bouquet a few days ago so it's fresh in my mind. This is very similar, but the sweetness is coming from a different place. In Oud Bouquet, it's clearly coming from praline and vanilla. With Oud Mood, the sweetness smells like ambery caramel. Other than that, they share the same scent profile and are about 70% similar. Both are strong, but Oud Bouquet is quite a bit stronger and longer lasting. Oud Mood lasts a long time and projects well, but Oud Bouquet is just crazy strong, one of my strongest fragrances.

Dani83

Stunning 😍

ArianaS

This is the more wearable version of My Geisa Foreplay for a fraction of the price.

Coracaps

saroraa

Love it. Sweet, gourmand, but a bit spicy and exotic. Cozy Autumn vibes. Ever so slightly smoky when it dries down. Leans feminine but could be worn by men without being questionable due to the woodiness. Makes a good room spray too. Lasts decently long, if I spray it in the morning I can still smell it by evening.

BeezyBee

This was a bit of a tough one for me, at first. I didn't like it at all, but I let it macerate for a few days and that changed everything. It's so good and unique. I love oud, woody, Amber, spicy scents, so this is perfect and truly unisex. If you don't like oud, it should go without saying that you won't like this.

It's pretty strong at first, but then it seems to go away quickly. When you think it's gone, someone will compliment you on the way you smell. I think you're the only one who can't smell it. It's usually when I'm hugging someone that I get the compliment.

I'm absolutely in love with this scent now and mix it with so many other perfumes.

Teego

Love this a whole lot! it's very long-lasting and it just sets very well. Happy with how the smell evolves and oh man the packaging is immaculate. Go for it if you need something fresh or a start in oud.

LeftLane

Oud Mood is a 'sleeper'. The one you expected to smell cheap, because it's less than $20 on Amazon. Granted, it's not great on first spray, as it needs a little time to mature. But wait a couple weeks or a month & you will be rewarded. It opens with saffron & a bit of rose, then it blossoms in the mids... caramel, woods, & a background of the rose. The drydown is exotic wood with amber & incense, but it's not too heavy or smoky. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 130 niche & designer perfumes, many over $300... but Oud Mood is the one I wear most. It's the only scent that I buy backup bottles of. Try it, you can't go wrong at less than $20. The oud is present, but no stank, just a deep base of woodiness. A very cozy fall/winter scent.

Queen_esther

I'm so glad I let her sit and macerate for a couple of weeks. She's so woody and spicy but somehow leans feminine. The rose and amber caramel are there but in the background. She's cute by herself but pairs and elevates my gourmand/super sweet/vanilla fragrances exponentially. They all smell sophisticated and more expensive when layered. Love it with scandal, mod Vanilla, nebras and sakeena (OK fine khamrah too). Really nice oud for beginners.

waxworkdaughter

i tried this hoping this would be a lot like sheikh al shuyukh luxe with the sweetness dialed up and the saffron dialed down. I was half rewarded, this is sweeter with a greater emphasis on the rose note which i enjoyed, and a rich but unchallenging oud, but the saffron note still pulls too strongly and lasts too long on my skin. I'm not sure what else to try because I love the rose-caramel-oud-insence accord aspects of both these scents but the spicy sourness of the saffron wears on me in the end. According to Lattafa's website (unlike the fragrantica notes), Ameer Al Oudh Intense also has saffron. Anyone have any other suggestions in this genre sans lattafa's eternal saffron??

808dizzy

Got a full bottle. It opens with a very clean and soapy Rose. Pimento is only there if you think about it but it's not that prominent. The saffron is sometimes there, sometimes not. However the saffron it's not as sweet honey-ish like in Orientica Oud Saffron.
The oud it's the best part of this perfume. It's so gorgeous, opulent, elegant, I love it.
Worst part for me it's the drydown. Can't stand that resin note.
Performance it's out of this world. No more than 2 sprays on this one. Top 3 lattafas for sure. Totally unisex

sunsetwitch

The initial spray was spicy and made up of woody notes so oud, incense, and patchouli. It was almost a little too spicy, smelling it too many times before the dry-down gave me a slight headache. Once it dried down the caramel and rose started to come out. The caramel was stronger than the rose at this stage. The spicy notes lingered in the background and were not overpowering for me. After many hours it dried down to mostly caramel, which I love! It stayed for a long time, I was wearing long sleeves so I did not notice huge silage, but even with my arms covered I could still smell it when my arms were closer to my face therefore if you were to spray uncovered or overspray the silage would be big. This is for sure a fall and winter evening scent. The price point is great too. Overall this has a lot of depth, I like it but don't know if I would get the full size because of the headache part, if it were not for that though I would get it. If you love spice, this would be great!

Waltzing Matilda

I love oud when there's no obvious pooey note, and the oud in this is right up my alley. I know that amber is the main note, but I wish it was toned just a teeny bit. I might try layering it - maybe with Infini Rose - nothing ventured..... We're in the middle of summer here in Oz and I think it would be a tad too heavy going on a hot day. The dry down just keeps on keeping on. Come on winter!!

Moonami

Yes I am Middle Eastern but God I can't do pure oud well. It is too pungent and i can't believe some people wear Oud centric perfumes early in the morning to work!!

Now this oud is how I like my oud to be. Soft, gentle and merciful. I also don't like Saffron. Not on my food and definitely not on my skin or clothes. However I don't detect Saffron in this perfume which is great.

This perfume is very sweet and caramelly though but I don't mind it since it was masterfully done well and helped to tone the oud down.

A great start into oud for western noses that are maybe not familiar with oud or find it too powerful.

Don't overspray though or the caramel will be too powerful and too sweet. Good as a room and bed spray too since it is gentle and comforting.

hannaalbadi

great value perfume, I only smell warmth and the oud note. quite harsh at first but dries down nice. lasts only for maximum 3 hours on me, so try before you buy it because now I rarely reach for it due to the longevity.

Liza_Lauda

Oud Mood opens sweet and slightly floral. With the dry down I get rose, wood, smooth amber and a creamy vanilla, with a bit of smokey incense peaking through. Very well blended, nothing harsh or offensive. Completely unisex in my opinion, a very comforting and beautiful scent.

My issue is its performance. It lasts minutes on my skin. On clothes, it's got moderate staying power and sillage. I expected a bit more. Will maceration help? I hope so, because Oud Mood could be my kind of mood.

wysn.006

My first oud perfume, but I decided to blind buy after seeing great reviews. It's not a disappointment!! Beautiful and quality packaging for an affordable price, on first spray, it smells sweet, floral, and smoky, you can definitely smell the rose in this perfume which I love. The dry down is even better, it brings out the caramel and oudy notes, and lasts super long on clothing! You will be able to smell it days after spraying. On my skin, it lasts about 4-5 hours. this perfume smells more feminine to me than unisex, the sweetness and floral notes don't seem like a man could pull this off tbh.
In conclusion, if you love Middle Eastern fragrances and oud, don't be shy and give this perfume a try!

molten_pearl

My initial review gave it a 7/10. That was generous. However its now been five months of trying this out in winter-spring weather and I cannot lie to myself anymore. This stuff is awful. If anything, letting it sit made it worse. The opening is incredibly screechy and leaning fecal. It is shockingly offensive even to those who like difficult notes (like me). The sweetness is head-ache inducing. The drydown on clothes (8 or more hours after spraying) is somewhat pleasant if you love oud like I do.

I truly believe I have a bad batch given how everyone else loves this one. I have two other perfumes that this one is often compared to: Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian and Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe Edition by Lattafa. I prefer these two over Oud Mood by a longshot.

Overall, 2/10. Opens like a nuclear bomb and goes out with an oudy whimper.

Muskyflower

Which one is better -
"Oud Mood"
Or
"Ameer Al oudh intense"?

And are either of the 2 perfumes too sweet?

bubblepoppin

A blind buy for me after seeing raving reviews. Gave it a sprits after it arrived and its too sweet for me. Whip it back out on a rainy night and boy was I in love. Its caramely, smokey, and spicy, a warm scent suitable for colder days. On me, I'm unable to detect any oud note (or maybe its just my amateur nose 😖)

Mystères du Château de Dé

I agree with Sofia87 that Oud Mood is a great base for other perfumes. On its own it is extremely dry but pleasant. I group it with other Lattafa fragrances that are about 3/4 distance to great designer fragrance genres but lack natural notes to send them over. The completing note for Oud Mood will depend on your taste.

Sofia87

I was so damn nervous about this blindbuy. The name scared me, I'm new to the oud game. Decided to try this cheapy to get more familiar to oud. Cute quality bottle! I adore Lattafas creativity considering their prices.

Now let me tell you, Oud mood is an beautiful perfume! I was afraid of something beastly, strong almost pungent. But it smells divine. I find it so smooth, no notes take over the other. There´s this perfect balance of notes. Sweetness from the caramel, a lovely surprise to me. Resinous from its incense and oud with some rich varm amber. There’s some soft potpurri rosy floral in the background that gives a feminine touch to it. I can't wait to layer this and play around. It will transform any boring perfume darker more oriental. It’s strong so I always spray myself armslength away. I would wear this on a warm cozy get-together in a cottage by the fireplace, cold weather/nightime appropriate for sure. I feel like I'm wrapped in the most perfectly sweet delicious scentbubble of rich oriental incensy goodness when I wear this. I feel sophisticated and put together!

n.ben885

This scent is a beautiful oud scent, in the opening it's a very spicy and incensy oud with a rose that kind of hits, as it starts to settle there's less incense and spice and a stronger oud smell, and the base is for me my favourite part of this fragrance, It's a beautiful calm oud with a sweet caramel and vanilla and with rose coming back again. I will say that this fragrance is worth the price but it isn't a safe blind buy for those who aren't that familiar with oud, it can be very harsh for those with a weaker nose.

sethro77

This scent is AMAZING... The opening is quite spicy, and oudy, you get really strong hits of the pimento for the first 10-15 minutes.

After about 20-30 minutes the woods, and spices chill out. This is when the caramel, amber, resins, and incense come out to play. This scent projects with enough power to announce itself, while holding back enough to create some mystery.... where does this magical scent come from that seems to just be floating on invisible clouds in the air. The scent is sticky, warm, resinous, sweet, and the oud and pimento hang out in the background to provide just enough spice to remind anyone who might want to question this scents power, that it is NOT weak.

The florals bounce in and out of the cloud of scent, and surrounding the cloud is a light, airy, warm musk to keep all of the fragrant players close enough together to keep the finished fragrance intact.

Beautiful.... It is definitely for colder months. I would say evenings by the fire, or in a cozy pub with friends would be the PERFECT environment.... Or any space during the cold dark winter where you want to bring an air of warmth, mystery, and sweetness to the atmosphere; would be perfect for this scent.

I look forward to trying out the rest of this line by Lattafa.

LeotaLou

I can’t overstate how mouthwateringly delicious and comforting this is. I always keep some sprayed on my cozy home sweater because it is so reassuring and sweet. Like a perfect sticky chewy desert.

The first few days I had it the incense struck me as very strong and overwhelming. I embarrassed myself by wearing some to a meeting and sitting there hoping I wasn’t bothering everyone with the strong incense smell. But now that I have gotten acclimated to it the incense has fallen completely into the background behind the ultra caramely deliciousness, and I mainly wear it at home. It’s the perfect thing for cuddling up in a blanket.

There is also a very cooling and refreshing aspect to it now for me on the top notes just after spraying, I believe it is the musk. It is like a cool drink of water when you are very thirsty which then slides away into the cozy caramel oud.

Sometimes it is good with a spritz of choco musk on top, or in combination with a cozy BPAL oil.

So good.

SaltyPopsicle

This smells identical to Shaghaf Oud. No need to purchase both. Can’t even remember how I came to buy this without researching (because Shaghaf Oud pulls ‘old man cologne’ on me), but here we are. It’s been macerating for maybe a year now and I’m still not loving it. Perhaps it needs to be layered with something else. Sample first and, again, if you already own the OG Shaghaf Oud you don’t need this one.

books.art.dogs

A smooth, sweet, incense-y oud. It smells almost identical to Shaghaf Oud, but Oud Mood is smoother and has more moderate performance (longevity and projection are not as strong as Shaghaf Oud). Plus the price is phenomenal if you're wanting to blind buy an oud fragrance.
I might rebuy it, but there are so many similar fragrances out there that I'd like to try out first.

rene.saller

I have Oud Mood on my left wrist and Casablanca on my right wrist, and the combination is excellent (some overlapping notes, compatible ambers).

Sammbac

A sweeter, more well-blended Shaghaf Oud with vanillic icecreamy touches. Feels decadent but not over the top. I would wear it in any season. Oud is less sharp than Shaghaf, not rubbery. A soft sweet cozy oud icecream sandwich. Whats not to love? It doesn't choke me out as some have said but I have a pretty high tolerance to what others describe as powerful scents. I will purchase this over Shaghaf in future for sure Afterthought :.It also reminds me a tad of Velvet Gold by Orientica without the animalic musk.

NOTES:
1) If you already own Shaghaf Oud Swiss Arabian ; you may not need to buy Oud Mood - they are close - with Oud Mood being a bit more sweet (to some - a bit more feminine) . Still - feels "unisex" to me anyway. 2) No- this is not a perfect clone or dupe of Lancome's stunning, beautiful , sublime Oud Bouquet. (However - if layered with something peachy & floral , take a few steps closer). 3) This is very "user friendly" for people who think oud is smelly and gross. 4) For the low price ; go ahead - SAFE BLIND BUY (the quality of this is equal to anything from Montale or Mancera for a sliver of the cost). 5) The faintly smokey vanilla oud in this simmers down after a few moments and the composition is well balanced and smooth! (This is not a brutal choke-y oud like some other "budget Arabians" I have tried in the past.) REALLY happy with my purchase and will get back to y'all with a Longevity Report (So far this seems very good to me!). As a review below said "You will not smell any rose in this" ; the rose is blended in - but it's a little part of the formula. And no, this is not caramel-centric either. The dry-down is quite lovely ! And YES: there is that "fireplace" note in this -- and it's so COZY. EDIT: the dry-down on clothing w/ this is AMAZING !

deliana.dely

I just got this perfume for my mom who is really into oud arabian fragrances (her most loved one is opulent musk by lataffa which I lowkey cant stand bcs the oud is waaaay too intense and smells horrible on me), and is so beautiful, sweet and warm. I would honestly wear it too. The oud doesnt feel synthetic, its dark and pleasant, the caramel is there which makes it so warm and edible. For me this was a blind buy and I think is a safe one. I liked it from the first puff and I insist on the fact that its not an obnoxious oud. As for the sillage I gotta say ITS THERE, as I am writing this I cant unsmell it (I sprayed one puff on my wrist). I dont know about longevity yet but Im assuming its a good one.

Sillymilly03

This stuff in fantastic. I don’t get any rose to my nose but i get the caramel, patchouli and the smokiness. It’s better than ameer Al oudh intense oud to my nose and a must try if you like sweet and smoky.

ambervxyjul

This is pleasant, easy on the oud for beginners. If you mixed Replica by the fireplace with jazz club then vanilla 28, you get oud mood. Unisex for sure and I love it! It has depth to it and few layers but I mostly pick up sugary sweetness covered with velvet felt roses and a layer of smoke.

I was little sceptical about it after reading many negative reviews. My god, I am blown away. This is real bomb.🤣🤣 Love it. Great combination of oud and roses with a touch of saffron. It reminds me of a Indian rose water that I used to own. Longevity is great, on skin I easily get 10+ hours and on clothes it lingers untill the next wash. Blind buying was a risk but dammn it smells so good. But still I wouldn’t recommend a blind buy. Get a decant and then decide.

Note : I definitely get roses, not a western style rose scent but the rose scent you can find in traditional attars and rose water. To be more precise roses mixed with little bit of sandal.

Ali per

I’m in love with it 🤎 it’s sweet oud , warm , gourmand and smells expensive ! I get the oud , caramel and the saffron ; Comparing to shagaf oud , this is more wearable like i wear it everyday it doesn't bother me at all , but shagaf oud is heavier not for everyday wear imo , but for the longevity i think shagaf oud is longer lasting✨

FaisalT

This is a great sweet gourmand scent. It has an intoxicating marshmallow by the fireplace scent. it also has hints of oud and incense. It's a very cosy and warm scent, it lasts all day and projects well, great value for its price. I will probably buy it again.

Sweet floral oud, lasts easily over 3 hours, sillage is not insane but decent for the price, not offensive its just very chill and kind of to your self perfume?, a more feminine oud perfume tbh not much for men, good for layering and can do something on its own ( not strong which is normal for the price so better layer it with something else ) i live in the middle east & paid 15 usd/eur for it, directly from lattafa, so if it goes above that they just milking you cuz its a middle eastren perfume, so it will perform like a 15 eur perfume

Overall 6/10 on me but i would love it on a woman, better layer it with something. Sweet floral oud, much synthetic.

(( Again i bought it directly from Lattafa for 15 EUR, so it will perform like a 15 EUR, do not pay 50 or more for this cuz they just straight up lying to you, i ordered it from AMAZON.SA, you can find it on NOON as well if you are in the MENA.))

MySkin

If Opulent Oud by Lattafa and Saffron by Monotheme had a child it would be Oud Mood.
At first I got a bit irritated by the pimento but after a while it backs off and it all falls into place.
I personally find it a bit too weak, it stays close to the skin and it definitely can't fill the room and I so much wanted exactly that. I wear it in a pretty warm weather now, about 28 C and I honestly doubt it will project any better in colder days.
The sweetness is not in your face, just the right amount for one to become even more interested in how the scent will open up and progress with the time.
Overall safe buy for Oud lovers.
It is sexy, mysterious, really gorgeous.
For the price it's a gem.

gemeljoseph

Not gonna lie, this was a blind buy for me with no return policy so I was a little scared at the initial stink sharp burnt chemical smell in the opening. This eventually dries down about ten minutes in to a beautiful, unisex sweet smelling, woody oud. The dry down smells very similar to Lattafa Opulent Oud except Opulent has more vanilla and musk, while Oud Mood is definitely more woody and spicy. Great value as this was less than $20 on Amazon. I just got it and have only tested a couple of sprays on my wrist and I still have to test for longevity and sillage for a full day and with more sprays to other parts of my body but so far the last 30 minutes to an hour, the sillage seems to be okay.

Hesssa21

Sweet, warm, basic oud fragrance. Not real oud obviously which indicated by the price before you even smell. Good for layering maybe. Despite the reviews below, I would say this is the opposite of ‘offensive’. It’s a very easy to wear oud in my opinion unless you’re not a fan of sweet perfumes as I suppose for some people this could become overly sweet. The oud itself is apparent but not too much to handle at all.

ibowl

love the dry down!!! really reminds me of my childhood bc of the oud notes i surprisingly really like it but its not suitable for everyday wear at all bc its quite offensive.

Amber&Oud

alleged notes:
floral, saffron, amber, resin, vanilla, smoky, sandalwood

what i smell:
smoky smoky smoky and vanilla at the end

scent event / my reaction:
this goes so fucking crazy, on me this is almost like a by the fireplace dupe

ObsidianIris

the review under me @scrollymirror describes this fragrance well. echoing off of what they said this is a true Oud fragrance and depending on your skin chem you'll obviously bring out different notes. my skin tends to bring out the more intense notes so I get Oud, insense and the sweeter notes in the back. I should add I didn't buy this for me I got it for my S/O so she enjoyed it and on her it was straight Oud and incense. bottom line if you like inoffensive but "big" scents this is the one.

ScrollyMirror

This is one of my two daily-wear fragrances all year round. I teach piano in a relatively small room and people ask where my diffuser is because my room smells so good! But it’s me. :) It’s not cloying at all, and while it has sillage, it isn’t a kind that makes people upset. It is long lasting and ultimately very soothing even though it is very present. I bought this blind because I love a big scent, and it is absolutely a winner and has been on repeat for me since the first purchase a couple of years ago.

Sexbox1814

Ok I’m obsessed with this it’s stunning it’s to me like a milk chocolate creamy oud but unfortunately it doesn’t last the way I want it too I’m going to see about getting the perfume oil in it it says unisex I would say definitely but more feminine because it’s gormand the first 30mins is heaven strong rich oud coco vanilla it does have that slight medical detol cleaning scent which is a pine smell so I am thinking that is the Woodsy note but it dies down..it does last as a skin scent very sweet warm and almost like palmers coco butter with oud you can eat yourself perfect for winter the bottle and packaging are amazing so luxurious and for the price you really can’t say no to this but it’s not amazing silage I like to smell it a mile away so il just have to respray every so often to get that bang if anyone has any recommendations let me know.

gandrasta

saffron, oud, caramel in a formal way. No, don't wear this in a fun hot day. Oud is the center of attention, so be very careful. However, the burnt sugar scent and saffron works well together to the extent of gourmand oud. Formal night attire or suit is the best to pull this off. Amazing performance on my skin

ND boy

Wow. I love it.
Not a big fan of sour oud but this is well done in a sweet way.

Pippamorningstar

I got a 20ml sample of this with another Lattafa a few months back, early 2023. Initially it just came across as a milder version of Oud Vanille which I own, to the point of its being redundant, but it’s certainly developed over time to a fragrance of greater subtlety and the coming spring’s brought out the gorgeous caramel and rose, formerly absent. I’m totally impressed and can understand the love it gets.
However it’s a very weak performer. Beast projection? That’s just laughable. On paper it lasts 24 to 48 hours (but not on hair or fabric). It projects weakly, only 1 to 2 feet. Fills a room? It wouldn't fill a toilet cubicle. I’m glad I got the chance to test it before buying it as I just can’t abide a non-performer no matter how I enjoy the scent. Such a shame.

gourmandgyaani

what can I say
this perfume always has me in a chokehold. I just keep reaching for it
over spraying it
sitting in my room bathing in it
what is it!!!!
I need more rose oud caramel in my life

suzanne_ronald

Caramel OUD-Y AMBER-WOODS with Rose & Saffron - Oud, amber, resins, woods & caramel envelop a rose & saffron heart complimented by an aromatic pimento note. There's also a forward ambroxan note that brings a faint petrol or rubber note along with amber-woody tones. I'm really enjoying the saffron, which is gorgeous & vibrant here and more forward than the notes would suggest. This has strong performance for year-round wear, but I would be most likely to wear this in winter as I find it a little strong for warmer months.

Comparison to Shaghaf Oud Swiss Arabian:
These are different, and Shaghaf Oud is richer, but there are similarities with creamy-sweet oud. While both are unisex, Oud Mood has a more amber-woody approach overall and the pimento gives it an aromatic touch, while Shaghaf Oud has a more forward rose-praline and lactonic accord. Both have excellent performance.

Comparison to Sheikh Al Shuyuk Lattafa:
Sheikh is more of a sheer version of this scent profile and the saffron note is a little more prominent. Sheikh has that vanillic sweetness but it has more of an airiness to it.

Overall: affordable, unisex, sweet oud-y-amber-wood scent, perfect for cooler months. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Lattafa Oud Mood 🥲 Where do I begin. I bought this bottle due to the TikTok hype and this was about a year ago when I had just been introduced to Arab perfumes. Since it’s been described as a sweet oud perfume and especially sweeter than Shaghaf Oud (which I was really eyeing at the time), I was super eager to get my hands on it.

When I wear it on its own without layering, I find this fragrance to be overbearing with the oud being predominantly harsh on my nose. I don’t pick much on the rose either – the only time I’ve gotten to smell any florals is when it’s really dried down towards the end of the day. I had to gift it to my friend who found it really enjoyable, and I quite like it on her. Whenever she wears it, I can detect the caramel (which smells more chocolately or like some cacao had been added), but still find the oud to be overwhelming. Still can’t pick on the rose note.

Since I had decanted a small portion before giving it away, I tried layering it with Red Rose from Al Rehab (for the rosy and powdery notes to help reduce the sharpness) and Choco Musk (for some added sweetness). I must say, out of all the layering attempts that I have tried while in an effort to enjoy Oud Mood, this combination is the only one that has finally helped me to it like it to a measure. I have found that it serves well as a base for other sweeter scents.

Even though my key scent profile is sweet (fruity, florals) and musky scents, I still enjoy well-done oud. For context, I have Oud For Greatness and find it to be absolutely amazing. Oud Mood in my opinion is not a well-blended oud. Perhaps adding the patchouli was unnecessary. I also think it got overhyped, with not many influencers sharing the cons of getting it – almost every one of them said it’s a safe blind buy for those getting into oud, which I disagree. I believe the best tip an oud newbie can try is to visit a perfume shop (especially the ones that sell oud bakhoors and products too) and test the oud scents prior to committing to a perfume bottle. Try testers too if available.

Final verdict: despite having a layering combo that works, I won’t be repurchasing this bottle again.

@charmedbymeghan I don’t have those other fragrances so I can’t make any comparisons but oud mood is definitely complex to me, I wouldn’t say it’s heavy on vanilla although once it’s macerated you could confuse the sweetness from other notes as that possibly.
When I first got it I thought it was beast mode, I also didn’t reach for it as much but Middle Eastern scents need time to macerate so don’t judge based on the first few wears (one guy said I smelt like tobacco🥲 but that was a new bottle & I oversprayed, he was also laying on my chest so unless you’re in that situation & haven’t given it time to macerate😂 it’s been nothing but compliments since then). After sitting on my perfume shelf it’s become a lot more blended, I don’t find it as beast mode but that’s probably because I’m used to it now as I’ve worn it quite a bit but normally even though I can’t smell it if I hug someone they usually tell me I smell good. It’s become super sweet & I can pick out different notes but I’ve had mine for about two years now. If you spray quite a bit it can be semi beast mode but it depends what you mean by beast mode because I’ve tried some that others have mentioned & they weren’t as strong as I’d like. I would describe it as unisex although the longer I’ve had it it’s become sweeter but the intensity behind it still gives me a unisex feel. It’s sweet & well blended but I can’t stress enough, you need to give it time to macérate as it may be more harsh at first but it eventually becomes smooth. Hopefully if someone owns some of those others they can help you make a comparison :)

Looking for Advice...

I have been on the hunt for great vanilla/ouds... I tried Vertus Vanilla Oud, which isn't cheap. But the rhubarb+apple was giving apple cider vinegar. So I resold it.

Then, I got a travel-size decant of Mancera Oud Vanille. Which is better. I enjoy it, and may get a full-size when the decant starts to run out. Still deciding.

I also have Paris Corner Magic Oud Kalimath and I really like it. Easy to wear as far as sweet oudy vanilla fragrances go. But I am still looking for a little more depth and complexity (without being nasty)...

Frank Oliver Vanilla Oud not work out for me, not sweet enough.

So, now I keep looking at Lattafa Shaghaf Oud, but then people keep comparing to this one. So my question is: Which is better? I am someone who love Unisex fragrances and likes something (a little) challenging. I also love a beast-mode fragrance because I find so many don't project enough. Although Middle Eastern fragrances do much better, for the most part.

And 2nd question: Are there any other good quality Oudy Vanillas out there that y'all recommend??

Thanks fragrance friends ♡

Kizzyb93

Okay, so since summer hasn’t really been summering this year in the UK, I have found myself wearing this a fair amount. Smoky with a touch of sweetness and Amber, which I absolutely love. Someone below said that it’s on par with grand soir, and I do agree!
I think this is more feminine than unisex last about 4 hours on the skin, maybe more at a push

rosewoodoud555

OMG. One of the best cheapies ever. The oud in this is smokey, incense-like, and the sweetness from the caramel just makes it heavenly. BEAST projection. My fiance says it chokes him out and it's way too strong (he doesn't like oud and I sprayed 10x, but still), and the sillage fills a room. Deadly indoors, and better outdoors but if you want to be smelled this is for you. I have several ouds in my collection, and this is my fave of the bunch, and fave from lataffa. Super long lasting too, lasts from day till night. Layering Oud Mood with JHAG MMMM... is my fave combo at the moment: MMMM is soft and doesn't last that long, but OM helps its performance a lot. It's a luxurious combo that's feminine but powerful. Highly recommend for fragheads who love sweet, oud, resin/incense, or amber frags. This ticks all the boxes, and I got it for just 26sgd! Honestly so glad I blind bought this, it's gonna be a staple from now on (not safe for office, but amazing for going out).

Luigi408

Not my favorite. Harsh opening. Dry down is much better and resembles other oud/rose perfumes. I have much higher quality oud/rose perfumes and you can definitely tell the difference. I personally wouldn’t pick this up again and would spend a little bit more for better quality perfumes if you like rose/oud combo.

gourmandgyaani

just got my second full bottle of this in the mail
lots of oud, rose and caramel to me, with resin and all that other goodness.
this is addictive, a joy to smell and a joy to use liberally because it is so well priced.
this perfume is just such a good experience and good time. love it.
will probably run through the 100 ml soon enough lmao and get another one.
this might be one of my top 5 perfumes of all time and I have a lot of perfumes. almost none though, that I have felt the need to just spray so much and keep sniffing.
this is special for sure

stummy

Upon application, the fragrance opens with a noticeable burst of alcohol intertwined delicately with a subtle rose essence. As the perfume settles onto my skin, a luxurious medley of warm caramel, rich oud, and entrancing incense notes emerges, creating an alluring olfactory experience. The delectable caramel note is so enticing that it evokes a sensory craving, igniting a delightful hunger for its aroma. This exquisite perfume has swiftly become a personal favorite, even as a blind purchase.

Impressively, the fragrance maintains its presence for well over 5 hours. Its projection is notably impressive for the price. The bottle design, while intriguingly unconventional, possesses a unique charm that accentuates its aesthetic appeal.

#228 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

Wow! This stuff is delish! Long and strong oud vanilla. On par with MFK Grand Soir, Maison De Darius Notorieta. This stuff is fabulous! I've had this for months and just now trying it. Oh my God my vanilla and oud happy girlfriend is just gonna go nuts for this! At this price it's an insane bargain!

Lenauk

This smells exactly like indulgent oud&frankincense by Imperial Leather. Even though the notes are different to Oud Mood it's literally smells the same.

I absolutely adore this. It's oudy, amber, incense, perfection. Cannot stand cheap floral smells usually and this is the earthy opposite. Those who dislike it, just blind buy it on a whim because they like Middle Eastern perfume, from a Lebanese woman's perspective such as myself I love it. It's just up my alley along with Raghba.

If I combined this with a decent rose perfume for a drop of sweeet underlining, I get full on beast mode action!

Polina.kraleva

I'm a basic gourmand girl. I love my vanilla and it's hard for me to like anything with oud and rose in it. But this is just addicting. Jammy rose, caramel, oud, incense. I didn't think I'd like it as much. The projection and staying power are great. It stays even after a shower. I wear it even now in the summer but the cold months are probably your best bet. It's worth the hype imo

JagodaW

I’m newbie with Oud. First impression of Oud Mood was - chiizzzz, awful!
I let it sit few weeks and…it smells so good now. I own other Middle Eastern fragrances in my collection and there’s golden rule for them: let it sit.
I layered Oud Mood with Rose Musk (Montale) and…OMG! 🥰🥰🥰 such a beautiful combo, guys!
I’m very happy with purchase.

Nauseating and overbearing

AuraAngelMuse

This reminds me of Shaghaf Oud, Casablanca, and Axe Dark Temptation(which I love, even as a woman.) It's a great blend of masculine and feminine. It smells more woody and incense-y than Shaghaf Oud as it dries down, and a bit less sweet. It starts out a little fruity actually, something reminds me of the apple smell in Casablanca from Swiss Arabian. Something about the smell is so pleasant. It reminds me of bonfires, log cabins, taking walks on wooded paths. I really find this and Shaghaf Oud to be so magical. They're so rich and beautiful, sweet and woody at the same time. Saffron makes this smell so interesting as well. I love it so much 🩷

Porsha1021

Overpowering maybe Oud is not for me I get a little hint of vanilla but mostly wood smelling it's too masculine for me. Definitely a winter scent.

SugarBiscuits

This was one of my first Middle Eastern scents I blind bought after researching affordable perfumes online. It was a bold move considering I didn't quite know what Oud or Incense heavy fragrances smelt like. But I actually really like it however I would only reach for it during the cold months of the winter. Just a caution to those that are American, Middle Eastern perfumes have recently cornered the market on beast mode type of fragrances that perform well and are super affordable compared to what we find at department stores. Just not for the tame at heart.

nzascentz

spicy, sweet oud. initial spray you get a blast of pimento which could initiate a sneeze. spray a few more times & you do smell saffron. be light handed with this as its a heavy hitter. overall when it dries down, it’s sweet & unisex that honestly would fit for anyone that likes golden sand by al rehab.

10/10

RafaMillen1129

As it is right now, I can't bear this one. I would never recommend it ever as a blind buy.

Edited: After letting this sit for a month I'm at least giving it a chance to be loved. I now recognize there's lots of beauty in this fragrance. Yet IMO still it's quite brash and makes me cough. More time

Hammered

Perfect blend of Amber, Oud, and Rose.

Oud Mood is blended confidently without anything being overly rambunctious. No spikes of florals or sweetness that would pin it far into feminine territory. In my opinion this is very close to unisex, leaning feminine.

To me this fragrance is the color of Purple (slightly sweet rose) Brown (amber and woods) and Grey (the slightest amount of smokey Oud.) I think some dark pink/purple coloring in the juice would have given the bottle a more accurate presentation.

As usual with Lattafa fragrances, you need to let this one macerate. Once you get a Lattafa out of the box you need to immediately spray it a dozen times outside to clear the atomizer tube. From there, swirl the bottle around a few times a week for a total of 2 or 3 months. After a few months clear the tube again and THEN spray it on your skin!

Stinchen

I get loads of citrus and oud, nothing else. Odd, but delicious.

anca.sylvia

Woody gourmand, similar to Shagaf Oud but with better longevity and projection. I thought I don't need both, but the lingering trail of Oud Mood got me constantly sniffing my wrist so naturally I had to get it. A great, budget-friendly Fall contender

oseka

as a gourmand girl, I need at least a *little* sweetness in my perfume, and “Oud Mood” satisfies that sweet tooth despite it not being a sweet perfume. beautifully crafted and complex - imagine caramelized oud sprinkled with saffron, wrapped in a layer of smoke. Oud Mood is your golden ticket if you’re a gourmand lover looking to explore other scent profiles without sacrificing sweetness

Kingskid07

Oud mood is one of those Frags that must be worn within the proper context or you will not be able to understand it outside of that same context. The fall and winter are when it will obviously peak, but in spring and summer it can be enjoyed just as well—if you are a seasoned frag head that understands how to properly wear it.
On another note, if you bought Oud Mood in the fall or winter, it will be enjoyed even greater in the next. Maceration is quite kind to this composition. It is classy, but not in a mainstream kinda way. The florals are pleasant and not overly feminine–leaning. The smokiness projects the smell of a fire I would not like to be put out. It is a cozy, intimate frag that gives "By the Fireplace" vibes but is not a clone.
Admittedly, it is not for everyone, but the composition leans far more toward niche than designer. The price is its best feature and grants access into levels far above its entry point~

Orangeboom999

Gifted to the wife. Im a fan. She doesnt often wear feminine leaning fragrance, but shes gone through the bottle. So its doing something right

Carlysfx1

For some reason, the opening notes give me “The Smell Of Weather Turning” by LUSH, even though the actual notes couldn’t be more different. I get absolutely no rose and no sweetness initially. My skin tends to really put a spotlight on clean, woodsy, green and masculine notes, and this is almost too masculine for me. The fragrance IS beautiful, it just performs really differently on me. One thing I’ve noticed is that Lattafa fragrances do need to macerate, so this is probably a contributor as well, and I’ll update my review once it’s “cooked” a little. For now, I leave you with - It’s a clean, woodsy, sharp incense fragrance suited to men and women. The longevity and sillage are moderate. Longevity is obviously much better on clothing. I am also someone who does not care at all about seasonality and day vs. night, so I’d wear this in any season.

kashmirattar

I tried Lattafa’s Oud Mood months ago and did not get the hype. It was a blind buy, I enjoyed the hype and silly packaging. I did NOT like it on me. Too sweet, too plasticky, rather flat when on my skin.

Today I was sorting out bottles to trade, and I sniffed the nozzle. Smoky incense I never got before. Some dry woods.

I sprayed into the air and walked through the mist. NOW the notes make sense. The plastic cloying sweetness burns off in the atmosphere. My skin smells like I’ve been standing near temple incense. It’s gone from overwhelming to comforting.

Apply this like Mugler’s Angel EDP. Oversprayers will be hated and those who waltz through a demure cloud will be rewarded.

juliette_03

I get no rose. I get no floral notes whatsoever. This is full on amber, resinous, thick, old fashioned oud and caramel. Not a good blind buy. Reminds me of an old church filled with old ladies on their night out. Sorry lol! Mind you it's only been a week or so opened so I'll give it a nother month or so and revisit, hoping to get less astringent oud and more smooth caramel and vanilla. Can be super polarising. Find it to be a pretty linear scent. Don't overspray. Not for the faint of heart. There's your warning!

imperfect-angel

Totally worth the hype! It's a yummy woody rose oud fragance that create the scent trail everywhere you go. And it last all day long.
The only thing I don't like about this is the opening, the burnt rubber smell I think it's the saffrom.
But after dry down it's divine. It's has the same vibe as Raghba and Maahir from the same house. I don't think you need all 3 of these but it's very difficult to me to choose one since I love them all.

Flared Maple

Great projection and sillage. In the air it smells slightly sweet, smokey, and almost something that reminds me of toasted coconut.

However on paper this smells like straight DEET bugspray.

Bronstet

* Enticing mix of sweet, booze, wood, oud, rose and patchouli (musk) aromas
* Excellent performer
* Oud note is noticeably more pleasant than many other oud forward fragrances
* Very affordable
* Great value for the money
* Premium bottle with heavy cap

* Packaging is premium but overly large and guady given the actual bottle size
* Oud can still be a polarizing odor despite its plesantness
* Not good for hot weather

Oud Mood is a very nice cologne with a much more appealing approach to oud than many of the oud colognes I have tried and already own. While the notes say it is amber forward, to my nose I get sweet booze along with wood, oud, rose and patchouli (musk) aromas. Despite the name, the oud is more of a supporting player than the lead and it works beautifully here. It's a much more pleasant oud fragrance than many of the oud forward colognes I have tested and own, with far less of the "old used tire" smell than some perceive strong oud as and drives them crazy. This gentle approach to oud also makes the fragrance unisex and it can be easily worn by women as well.

This is a really strong performer with huge projection, sillage and longevity. Packaging and bottle are premium, very noticeable with the heavy metallic cap. The box itself, however, is oversized and a touch gaudy given the size of the actual bottle. The very affordable price is the icing on the cake here, making this an easy recommend.

The only caveats here are that the cologne still has a recognizable oud note, however gentle and well blended, and it's always going to be polarizing for some. It's also not appropriate for hot weather. This is more of a cool weather and festive occasion cologne.

JessiePooh

I purchased this fragrance last year listening to the hype. Don’t get me wrong it’s an addictive scent! Like i would smell the nozzle daily because again, it is an addictive scent, but actually wearing it on my body was a no. I just couldn’t get with how strong the oud was. There was little to no sweetness. Just oud and I’m too much of a gourmand girl for literally no sweetness. My body chemistry brings out only the oud i guess. I ended up gifting this fragrance to my sister and she wears it everyday lol! I just purchased Shaghaf oud because I really want an oud fragrance in my collection and shaghaf oud is supposed to be sweeter than oud mood.

EJJ

This is sweet smoky incense that stays close to the skin. It has such seductive aspect to it, it just keeps pulling you in. This is winter on the couch with people in close proximity.

For me this is not the greatest for going out scent, it performs well but it just doesn't push off the skin that much. This is perfect for intimate settings.

jxssicamidnight

I just adore Lattafa perfumes!
It’s the quality for such an affordable price.
I adore the Ameer Al oudh - intense oud and thought I’d also blind by this to give a try and let me say - oud mood does not disappoint!
Straight off the bat it is oud, saffron, incense, rose, pimento and amber resins balanced by patchouli. It’s sweet, woody, smokey has great projection and sillage, my room still smells of oud mood and I sprayed it on myself in there around 2 hours ago!

You don’t want to over spray on this one as it is quite strong and you must appreciate oud to enjoy this!

Nancy Lynn

Saffron and pimento blend to create a dry, barely there rose up front then the nutmeg and patchouli blend up in there. Definitely has some spiciness and the caramel adds a slight sweetness but not in a candy like way but more to warm it up and smooth and soften it out.

Cozy, yet sexy, unisex.

rejahnewp

Oud Mood is resinous, sweet, incense-y, woody. It’s sensual and warm. Great for nighttime and cooler weather. It’s not as dense, syrupy, and sweet as Shagaf Oud by Swiss Arabian, which makes it an easier reach. I also think this smells like Perpetual Oud EDP by Zara, if you take away the pear and musk notes. It’s quite aromatic and transparent enough to wear on warmer days/nights when it’s about 75F.

I wear this on date nights and occasionally on the night on the town with my girlfriends. Highly recommend for middle eastern fragrance lovers. Westerners, tread lightly. :)

Raynumba9

At first I didn’t like it because it was my first lattafa fragrance. But now I like it

Kizzyb93

My guy bought this for his self and he decided it was way to feminine for him.
First I need to say this stuff could pass as niche quality .this one is very sweet, with some subtle spiciness/Smokey vibe. I could only really pick up the sweet rose and insense with out looking at the notes . Although this is sweet I think it’s straight up unisex to my nose
Safe blind buy : no way
Silage and longevity: this strong! And lasted about 4 hours before it became a skin scent. Iv not sprays on clothes yet soo I can’t speak on that…
Worth the price : for 15 pounds yes absolutely!

Fantastic fragrance!

AmeliaAroma

I am new to Arab perfumes and also oud! Oud Mood isn't a safe blind buy for newbies, definitely sample first! At first spray I get a touch of sweetness- rose and spiciness, then the incense comes in... quite strong. As the perfume develops it becomes more masculine to me...very woody and smoky... Arab version of By the Fireplace. I would say this still leans feminine and it is a winter scent. I do not like it because of the strong incense and smoke, but it is interesting to test! I have a sample from the Etsy shop: LovelyPerfumes (HiddenSamples.com)

Viggom

I can't believe anyone votes for "unisex", can't even imagine some male smelling like this. As someone used to these "Dubai scents", this parfume was definitely wrong choice for blind buy, too similar to many oriental parfumes, and the only reason I ordered it was because I saw so many votes for unisex here. Smells cheap

gourmandgyaani

I wanted this for a long time because I love this scent profile
I was hoping for something that's more in the sugary oud rose family, montale like
but this isn't like that
it's a woody spicy rose oud and it reminds me of the typical oud rose type perfume oils you can get for very cheap at local perfume stores all across India.
I have smelled this exact DNA and exact scent soooo many times before, I even used to have an oil I bought from a local tiny perfume shop here that was the exact same smell.
I can see why those that dont have access to this kind of dna everywhere would jump with excitement
it is really nice this one I would wear it all the time no problem, but this is super familiar and a very common smell in this part of the world.
performance isn't that great on me either, it's basically a skin scent after like 2-3 hours
I like it though, glad to have it

Lazarelle

Family members brought me this fragrance from Dubai: a rich, incense-saturated, chocolatey oud. It took a while to grow on me - I've been too used to those light, fruity gourmands that are everywhere now, and I thought this was overpowering at first, since I'm not used to the Middle Eastern / Indian perfume market. But when I'm in the right mood, usually on an icy winter's night, this one is absolutely perfect for making me feel warm and soothed, yet alive and sensual. I definitely feel like it's a night-time fragrance that comes into its own in the cold. I've been wearing it to sleep in, and I find it delicious.

strawberrystar

This really does resemble Shaghaf Oud. However the incense dominates everything on my skin, so I get a very incensy, smoky Shaghaf Oud. I like it, but Shaghaf Oud is still my absolute favourite :)
Also I only just received it, so I hope that after letting it sit for a while, I will get less smokiness and a lot more caramel sweetness.

This fragrance isn’t bad at all, though I’m very accustomed to middle eastern fragrances and enjoy the performance. It’s like MFK’s satin mood’s cousin. It’s tamer and simpler, but given the price point, I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It’s very feminine but a guy could definitely pull it off too, particularly as it dries down. If you have satin mood and need something to wear that is a little quieter and less expensive, I would look no further.

naterían

This is an excellent gourmand oud fragrance at an accessible price point, and would be a great choice for those wanting to start exploring the world of arab / oud-based fragrances. This is a pretty linear fragrance to my nose; I find that the oud and caramel notes are introduced immediately upon spraying, and stay for as long as the fragrance is detectable. The saffron and rose are also quite noticeable, but come in later than the ouds and caramel notes. The sillage is absolutely enormous, but I don't find the longevity to be as impressive; I only get around 6-8 hours of wear for this. This is a really great gourmand with beautiful and complex arab DNA, and a true gem within this price category. 9/10 overall!

ytlkmmp

worst blind buy!!!
smells nothing like mfk oud satin mood.
suffocating at first spray
headache induced
massive sillage and longevity

Psaldana

A big NO, for me, at least. It smells like cheap incense; it lasts for a good day or two; I did a lot of research before buying this perfume, but I was still disappointed.

Ambrocia scents

I've said enough times how good this smells especially in the dry down!! My sister came and she asked for perfume and I sprayed this on her before she left. Two days later she wore the same jacket to church and I was kneeling behind her, it hit me in my face! Lawwd lmao. Lets all ditch designer and niche perfumes and adopt Arabian perfumes, maybe niche and designers will start making beast modes again, stop overpricing and start actually being creative again! Make unique scents like Alien, love or hate, you cant duplicate it even if you tried! Love this one, it leans more feminine to me

ayesharshd

really really love this perfume. I tend to gravitate towards middle eastern scents since I grew up there and was always surrounded by the scent of oud in malls, mosques, and other areas. but I do realize that most others tend to dislike the potent smell of oud, so I'm always looking for a more "acceptable" oud scent.
this is definitely one of them! I've even gotten quite a few compliments saying how I smell "rich". to me, this starts off a bit synthetic and confusing, but just a bit later you get a lovely blast of florals, oud, and sweet yet rich caramel. to my nose, the incense and smokiness only start to come through after a few hours.
the perfume is definitely sweet from the caramel but layering it with some other vanilla or caramel-based perfumes can help to make it more "acceptable".

Finally - it is SUPER super long-lasting. even hours after spraying it on, I can get whiffs of it. I once had it sprayed on a sweater, and even after doing laundry, I could still smell it!!!! this has never happened with any of my other perfumes haha

nChrissy

I've had oud mood for close to two months now when I sprayed it after buying it I was shocked the incense seemed over bearing and since it was my first incense perfume I didn't know what to expect so I put it aside.. I wore it today to work and I loved it's warm spicy and sweet not too sweet just the perfect blend I love it.

lisuca

I just got this and wow! I love it!! I get no synthetic notes at all. I have an Oud oil from Oman that I find quite synthetic at the beginning , but compared to that this is just perfect! This is rich, smoky and syrupy! It’s better than I thought it would be.
I’m pregnant so I can’t wear this all the time right now as it’s pretty overwhelming but when I’m done this will be my new signature scent!
It’s quite nice with Kayali Invite Only Amber.

as-olivia

Amber, vanilla, incense, patchouli, and caramel. Gorgeous scent, leans masculine but perfect for women with a bit of an edge. Unfortunately I could not smell any rose whatsoever which was a disappointment but I will be layering this scent with a rose perfume oil.

Lasts an incredibly long time on clothing and on skin. I could still smell it in the air around me 6 hours later and on my skin for almost 12. Ridiculously good value. Not overpowering though, it maintains a very clean powdery scent even on dry down.

theriverrivertheriver

The opening is rough - the oud is medicinal, the rose is powdery, and the combination of this makes me think of a hospital room. Thirty minutes later, and this medicinal/hospital vibe has subsided, and I begin to smell amber, incense, and a hint of caramel. As time passes, the oud fades further into the background, and the rose follows after. Two hours later, this is primarily amber and caramel, with the occasional whiff of a vague woody note that I assume is what's left of the oud. An unlisted vanilla note peaks out every so often. Finally, this fades into a slightly musky, sweet amber until it disappears entirely.

I think it's worth noting that this is my second attempt at writing a review. The first time I wore this, I applied too much, and my opinion was far more negative. Two full sprays was way too much; it really choked me out, and lasted for well over twelve hours. One light spray is more than enough, and lasts at least six hours.

The projection is very strong at first, but does reduce quite a lot within the first hour.

I find the perceived gender of this to be really interesting. It's unisex in a way that is both masculine and feminine, rather than neither.

As for season, I'd say any fragrance this strong is for cold weather. However, while making dinner, I noticed the smell change quite a bit with the heat of cooking. The rose and amber reactivated. Considering Lattafa is based in the UAE, a place which stays quite warm throughout the year, I don't think they'd make a fragrance you can't wear in hot weather.

7/10. I like this, it's interesting, it's dynamic, and challenged me a bit. Keep an open mind if you blind buy, discard your preconceived notions.

porcheberry

This smells like you sat down in a room with multiple types of incense burning and it's still clinging to you. I adore it but if you don't like heady incense probably not a good blind buy. I knew I could safely purchase based on the description alone because I've smelt (and loved) similar perfumes in the past.
Most importantly this oud perfume has no powdery element to it. Due to allergies and migraines, I must avoid powdery scents. Thus far, neither issue has been bothered by wearing this scent.

SarahSwann03

I was desperate to love this after seeing many reviews on social media.
This has been the most terrible blind buy experience I have had. It is such a potent and overwhelming perfume that it induced a migraine. The worst part was that after one spray on my arm, I couldnt get this scent off my skin for days!!! Every time I washed and scrubbed, it just wouldn’t come off. It says a lot about its longevity and quality of ingredients however, just too masculine a scent for me. I’ve given it away to a friend who absolutely loves it, but I can’t be near him when he wears it as if makes me feel sick to the stomach.

Beffuhnee

This scent is so unique and interesting to me. When I first spray it on I get a blast of oud, spice, and florals. The beginning stages of this perfume (15-20 mins) when worn are intense with the oud which I find quite difficult to stand. The oud is heavy and synthetic during this time frame. However, it then softens and sweetens up to blend everything together. Becomes a caramelly floral with a woody undertone. I find once it dries down a bit you get more amber as well. Quite gorgeous and enjoyable. Catching whiffs of it throughout the day is intoxicating. I really like it, but not a love for me as I have to be in the mood for it. (No pun intended)

scalesmells777

I’ve been quite a mess after my daily scent was discontinued by another company this year but am now happy it happened because I got to find this beauty. This was a blind buy for me after I saw someone compare it to Floris London’s A Rose For, which I tested and liked but not so much the price point. This is a dupe but there’s something there that makes me love it more, I believe the Oud/musk. I know no one else in the world likely has this combo, but it smells like A Rose For layered with Lil by Olympic Orchids. Lil was another scent I really liked but felt it was missing warmth and it layered nicely with the Floris and other amber fragrances. Oud Mood gives me everything I love from the two combine; a beast of oud, incense, leather, rose, & sharp tang. I immediately bought a back up bottle but had to go through a different source after it had sold out just a week after my initial purchase. Don’t walk, run.

SerenaLovesKanye

I have used so much of this and already ordered a second back up bottle since I want to keep spraying this all over myself liberally knowing that I have more. I love this scent. I wear it to my mosque but I also layer it with stuff when I'm going about my business during the day - mall, yoga (just one spray after a shower before I go teach), work ( gorgeous fashionable young women coworkers say 'you smell good what is that'), home (I relish the scent bubble).

Sillage is more than moderate and is the longevity. Impressive and the caramel does mingle with the oud, incense, musk, florals and rose. Not boring. Round, impressive, bold and gorgeous.

I used to be scared and only layer this with roses - I have rosed it up with rose perfumes I have - Issey Mikaye Rose & Rose, Oscar de La Renta Rose, Elizabeth James Rose. Then I tried to caramel boost with J Lo Live and I have even worn this with Majd al Sultan when I want more sweet smoky Myrrh. I have added blueberry to this for a tinge of fruit. But there's no need. This is the perfect scent base and I love to wear this alone as well. It's rich, a sweet oud mix of incense and rose sweetness.

YannisPapadopoulos

As a man I do find this too feminine for myself, and at the same time on a woman it's a bit too strong and masculine too.
My main issue to my taste is: the florals and the "oud" are too prominent. I would have enjoyed notes like vetiver/oakmoss to add a little bit more heft and masculinity to the smell and tone down the "oud"/rose combo. Vice versa, if I'd want this to be more feminine I'd sweeten it up a tad bit and reduce the smokiness, for example.
It can fill up a room and the scent profile keeps getting better as it dries down, but it's hard for me to enjoy the weird balance that it rides on. It always ends up smelling a bit "foreign" on my skin, hence how it keeps pumping towards my nose too.

On these grounds I can still recommend it, especially for fall and winter. I find it beautiful, artistic and still somewhat unique.
On my personal taste scale, it gets an 8/10.

Vandervenn

I got a whole bottle of Lattafa Oud Mood from my acquaintance. I have to say that this one is very sweet, with moderate spiciness, a feminine-side perfume I would say even though this one is unisex. Since I do a Friday Pray, this one is suitable for that day (at least for me).

From the first spray, there are floral notes that are very flowery and quite intense and after 4-6 hours the resin, amber, and woody musk notes can be smelled.
Amazing longevity, and great projection. I am working in an indoor office with relatively strong AC, hence, this one is better performing on colder days than on hotter days. Hence, some might find this too intense if this perfume is being used on a relatively hot day.

Then I look at the market for the price as I got this one as a gift, for a price tag of $20 - $25 is a great value.

Brooklynjade

I am fortunate enough to own a lot of fragrances, and some are pretty expensive. Yet, this $25 perfume remains one of my most complimented. I love it. Especially in the colder months, it’s an easy reach, and a real love for me. Such a pretty, sweet, lightly smoky, caramel, oud rose bouquet, that leans feminine (at least to me). I keep a back up bottle. Great beginner oud.

Smell elegant and expensive for cheap— but get it today, prices are rising!

Ambrocia scents

It settles into this sweet, spicy, more feminine leaning perfume. I would have guessed it had cinamon and ginger as two of the notes, swear I smell them lol. Wearing it rn its so beautiful. In the air It almost smells like a spiced coco cola. So inlove.with all the poor performing designer/niche perfumes lately, this has Great longevity. I love it.

Bobbins

SMOKY. Seriously smoky. Especially in the dry down, this stuff smells like you're in a hookah bar. There's also caramel, rose, and floral notes which are prominent. Not bad, leans feminine when you exclude the smoky aspect of it. Definitely projects strongly and will last a while.

Bought this for £18 from Amazon as a Christmas gift, though it was unwanted. I imagine if this was left for a few months the smokiness would tone itself down and blend better but for now this is being returned.

Bgraber1

Caramel and Cotton Candy. This stuff is sweet. I am not getting the oud or incense that others mention. Should be a cozy winter time crowd pleaser just too powdery for me.

leon7

I have more expensive niche perfumes, but this has become my favorite. A very inexpensive perfume that outperforms fragrances that cost 100+ euros. 10/10

SummerRose

I am a woman and the one word I would use to describe Oud Mood is "GUTSY!"
A true unisex fragrance with great projection, silliage and excellent value for money.

Faellen

An impressive amber, incense and jammy rose beast. I wouldn't recommend sniffing it up close as it smells more synthetic if you do, better to catch wafts of this in the air. Very good longevity, over 12 hours on me. Husband says "wow you smell incredible" whenever I wear this. I can imagine wearing this on a cold, misty day in a cafe with friends. It has that cosy feel to it. Excellent value from Lattafa. As Shaghaf Oud has been reformulated, you'll probably be better off with Oud Mood instead.

bruby15

All I can smell is oud and patchouli. Strong, bitter, nasty and nausea inducing. I bought this blind and I need to sell it now.

UglyGeezer

I don't get the beast mode or enormous that a lot if people are talking about.

What I do get is a gorgeous boozy numbers with warm spices and a bed of subtle roses.

It's a beautiful scent and at their incredibly cheap price point It's off the scale.

Even if it wasn't so cheap, it truly is a cracking fragrance.

chainy

if a nuclear bomb had a smell, it would smell like this.
hands down the strongest perfume I've ever owned. one spray and my room smells like oud for 3 days.

Duh-Bae

Oud Mood!! I have avoided this perfume for the longest time because I have reservations about Oud-y and Incense-y fragrances.
However, I never expected to like this at all! I like the blend of oud, vanilla for sweetness, rose and warm spice. This is one fragrance where I can smell each note individually and also as a whole. Although, the incense still throws me off a tiny bit.

Whenever I buy a new fragrance, especially one that was not love at first sniff, I do this thing where I spray it either on my skin or clothes before going to bed to kind of make myself become accustomed to it and I can say, Oud mood has grown on me.

To offset a bit of the incense, I layer it with a vanilla-focused mist i.e Body Fantasy's Vanilla Fantasy and/or Choco musk by Al Rehab and I absolutely love it! It enhances the Vanilla and sweetness in Oud Mood and because of how strong the Oud mood is, it barely loses any of its original scents like the rose still stands out, the spice is still there, the vanilla is enhanced, the sweetness increased and only the incense is toned down which works perfectly for me.

Also, my favourite combo is Oud Mood with Body Fantasy's Vanilla Fantasy because this one enhances *only* the vanilla and general sweetness as opposed to with Choco musk which enhances the spiciness as well as the sweetness. With Choco Musk I get a more vital note of spice.

The longevity though is crazy!! This stuff lasts on my skin even after I take a shower while on clothes, is almost forever!

In summary, it was worth the risk for me and I do not regret it at all.

EDIT
I still like it however with use I could not stand the Saffron, Incense and pimento. It started to feel like it was overpowering the sweetness & oud and it got worse with time. For me to enjoy it, I had to keep layering it with a sweeter fragrance and I ended up gifting it.
However, I found an "actual" sweeter fragrance with the same DNA as Oud Mood but without the Incense, pimento and strong saffron. That is, Golden Oud by Asdaaf

Thewizard

This is too strong for me.. my boyfriend really liked it though. idk maybe I don't like oud... :/

Ointmeal

Oud Vanille by Franck Olivier is so strong it gives me a headache hehe. So I got a 5ml of this to see if it would replace it.

Indeed, they're very much in the same space. Not cousins - but look-a-like siblings!

While in the air they seem very familiar initially, Oud Mood is notably less sweet. Instead of vanilla in the base it seems to be a more woodsy, incense-y, muskier affair. Smoke is more detectable here. The patchouli makes this somewhat earthy along with the woods.

It starts out a bit ruff & chemically (so does OV...) but hour or two after spraying we're greeted by smooth, incense-y, caramel infused woods. It's pretty darn good!! The dry-down really is of quality here. Very pleasant. Early dry-down is more earthy (probably the patchouli) and with time it makes way for - finally - a slightly powdery vanilla.

I'd love for OM to smell like this while it's projecting and I can't help but miss the performance of it's counterpart. It sits much closer to the skin in comparison. I still get whiffs for hours ... but you can tell it's much more intimate.

Maybe a good date fragrance to let your date shine with their perfume, while still smelling good yourself? As a guy I don't want to be the louder one...

Oud Vanille I can wear in IE a loud bar.

TL;DR:
- OM I find a little too shy. Takes a hot minute till the really good part kicks in. While a gem in the dry-down the intimate projection hinders it in comparison. It's a cuddle and stay home type of fragrance.
- OV settles in ~30 mins but is a bigger mess initially, projects for hours (seriously), but unless I dose half a spray on each side I get a headache. I mean I do anyway, it's just tolerable. Stuff is beyond strong.

Both are amazing for the price - yet each is a little difficult to use for reasons mentioned above. I reach a point where I just want to spray something and for it to simply work, you know...

Haven't tried Swiss Arabian yet. No $$$ atm for Oud Bouquet (duh).

@rory1

Redundant to who, Oud Mood is great perfume.
today itself its raining outside here, awesome weather...i wore this with Lattafa Rose kashmiri....It was pure heaven.
having a hot tea with friends in heavy rain outside and wore Oud Mood Layered with Rose Kashmiri..This stuff was heavens. Even my friends liked and complimented.

This is definitely not for Hot & Humid, forget others..you will choke yourself with this :D
Only Winter, Fall, Rain..Cold Weather..than the notes in this works

TonyAKAMrClean

A very nice fragrance at an affordable price. I personally bought it for $20, but the market fluctuates based on availability. Extremely similar to Shaghaf Oud, however Shaghaf is better (but costs 2x as much) and Lancome Oud Bouquet is better still (but costs 10x as much).

Lancome Oud Bouquet is the original and smells exquisitely balanced and worth its price if you can afford it, but I recommend sampling first.
Shaghaf Oud is more woody with more intense saffron, but that woodiness adds to its versatility in somewhat warmer weather (spring/fall < 80°)
Oud Mood is going to be strictly winter time only. It has a bit of a thicker texture that is absolutely unforgiving in anything above 60°

Shaghaf Oud was reformulated earlier this year, bringing it down in performance, more on-par with this, so take your pick based on your budget and usage scenarios. I have all 3, but I'll be swapping Oud Mood soon, I believe, as I don't tend to wear it, whereas I do wear Oud Bouquet and Shaghaf Oud.

Ssemwogerere

Super long lasting and fuming all over the place, its great

Rock76

Overpowering incense and in a humid environment, it will choke you. Couldn’t take it so I sold it off after a few days. Not a safe blind buy and not for everyone.

toast6464

This is some nice stuff! Believe me if you are into Oud Based fragrances then you definitely should give this a try. I have this and Swiss Arabian Shaghaf as well and both of these are like 90% similar. There is some synthetic vibe that you might get in the opening but it goes away soon and afterwards its just beautiful. If you don't like sweet or oud fragrances, then this isn't for you. It has GREAT performance and very long lasting with good projection as well and if you look at the price, I don't see why someone would not recommend this. I prefer the opening of Shaghaf to this since its more intense and less synthetic but overall this is some nice stuff and definitely worth a try.

rory1

Love this scent. On first sniff all i got was overpowering incense, which is also what someone else said in their review. But second time i wore it, it smelled so different, complex, i smelled all the notes clearly. I love this scent!! I saw a review on youtube where they said that owning Oud Mood and Ameer Al Oud Intense is redundant. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

eewatts23

Just got this in today. It's a very pleasant scent--off the top I get strong vanilla, ethyl maltol "caramel", and the some wood aroma chemicals. There is a noticeable leather at the base along with something incensey, and of course amber chemicals. The longer it dries down, the more the smoke pops up but it never gets too strong. It's finely blended and very pleasant.

Upon first spray I was instantly reminded of Maahir (the light colored one with the horse head). Amazed that no one made this comparison--they smell like clones of one another, with this being the more wearable of the two. The only downside is that it seems like the performance might be lacking. It feels very airy and light. But it might be like Br540 in which I go noseblind while everyone else around can smell the lovely sillage. I've give this a 4/5 and will rate it agai after more wearings.

Shikin27

Update: i definitely prefer this over sheikh Al syukukh. I can detect more floral and rose than the latter. And I much prefer the drydown. This is a love for me. It's intoxicating. When I'm not wearing it I think about wearing it. This perfume is something else. Sillage and longevity is not as beast mode as sheikh Al syukukh.

Just received this. First spray it smells just like Sheikh Al Syukukh but more floral, the safron and cinnamon toned down. They are so incredibly similar but somehow this leans feminine and I like this one is way better. I am so pleased! Will be testing this out for the next few days. I'm just so happy that this doesn't have to go to husband like my sheikh Al shuyukh haha.

vbs221

This is not bad at all, and for the price, pretty good. But something about the rose note in here smelled synthetic to me. Every time I tried to put it on, I couldn't stand the rose note a few minutes in.

Never tried Shaghaf Oud, but would think it's a bit higher quality. I tried Oud Bouquet, and this is definitely similar enough to replace it, but the quality level is really noticeable.

lapine

heavy royal Arabic scent. this perfume makes me feel like a princess Jasmine meet Björk and succubus. the touch of oud transfers powerfully and will really make you embody rich old money, the amber is so sweet and makes the fragrance extremely comforting, just gorgeous gorgeous my new fav parfume on earth...it lasts forever on clothing, a little less on me on skin but nothing too worrying, not that it could be with a scent like this. a HIT!

Lotte_Liese

I've had both Swiss Arabian's Shaghaf Oud and Lattafa's Oud Mood and I can confidently say that Oud Mood is NOT a clone of Shaghaf Oud.
Shaghaf Oud is an overpowering combination of praline and oud, surrounded in thick incense with hints of rose. It's a linear, mega gourmand and you can only use three sprays lest you choke the life out of people with its long lasting projection and sillage. It sticks to clothing for a week too.
Oud Mood is similar only in the opening with that rose, sweet woody oud and incense but after the first few minutes, it totally diverges. You can pick out interesting notes of saffron, caramel, and resins. The incense adds interest but does not suffocate, so you can happily use 10 sprays if you fancy. The oud in here does not overpower, it plays happily with caramel, amber, resins, saffron, and rose. Oud Mood is not all about the oud like Shaghaf Oud is.
But it is the drydown that is so interesting. If you smelt the drydown, you'd wonder why people keep saying it's a dupe for Shaghaf Oud because they're not even alike.
The dry down is caramel, incense, bit of resins, musk, and beautiful woody notes. There's no oud in the drydown. I love the drydown on my skin.
Projects the first 2-3 hours before settling down to become an intimate scent. Great sillage too for the first 2 hours. Lasts on skin for 6 hours, and on clothing for a good 8.
I prefer this in heaps to Shaghaf because it's not too linear, it doesn't overwhelm, and you don't have to wash your clothes to apply another fragrance.
I like my powerhouse fragrances, but Shaghaf Oud was just too much, this is a nice middle and I can wear this to the office. This can be worn all year round too, but I'd go less than 6 sprays in the summer. I don't see myself growing bored of this like I did Shaghaf Oud.
Note that I tested this in the summer, the notes may develop differently in the colder months.

mimircks

My daughter just bought this & I tried it out on my skin. THEN....I sprayed my Shaghaf Oud on the other crook of my arm and...YEP...a perfect dupe!! No problem there, but if you have one, then there really is no need for the other! Both bottles are lovely. The OUD MOOD gives "smokier" than Shaghaf, but Shaghaf is richer, deeper more caramel/praline heavy. Not my usual vibe, but sometimes you WANT to smell like a snack!

joey991

OMG THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. So powerful

Tinabill

I got Oud Mood because it was claimed as a good replacement for Oud Bouquet. It is a good perfume on its own merit to be honest. But curiosity got the best of me so I bought a spray sample of Oud bouquet to see if Oud Mood was really a good contender as a replacement. There is a similarity that all oud-rose-heavy compositions would have. But I can regrettably say that if you try Oud Bouquet once, you will never consider Oud Mood a replacement, but a nice composition on its own.
OM starts sharper, is a less sweet composition overall and the rose is soon overtaken by a very smoky and medicinal oud. The performance of this 2022 bottle is less than the usual for previous lattafas (around 6-8 hrs) but the price is great.
On the other hand, OB has better craftsmanship for sure. It’s smooth, the initial spray is not as harsh and synthetic as middle Eastern perfumes can be. The oud is smokey but not very medicinal. It doesn’t overwhelm the other notes. You can easily recognize the creamy rose all through and it is sweet without being nauseous and slightly spicy.
If you would like a budget friendly nice rose-oud composition Oud Mood is an excellent choice.

Sahraily

This is beautiful and very light yet very Middle Eastern but crowd pleasing. I love this scent It smells clean, rich and dark at the same time. Is based on the incense note with a hint of wood and oud. The caramel in here is resinous and amber sweet yet not too sweet (a bit synthetic tho) for the price this is amazing. It shines in the summer and the rose comes through ever so slightly with a touch of saffron. This to me is very unisex and leans a bit masculine but I love this as a women. 10/10. If you live in the UK you can smell this at beauty base but buy it online because they over charge you. 🥰

arabic

I alway found this a bit heavy and syrupy, then by accident I layered it with Champs De Provence by Eight and Bob, and found myself in olfactory heaven. The citrus and white florals dance with the caramel and resins of oud mood, and it lasts for hours. It seems to be a mood elevating smell, that is also comforting . I don't mind either scent as a stand alone, but combined they are addictive.

Perfumelover2003

The best affordable dupe of oud bouquet
I saw a great youtube review marco4uperfumes
It is 90 % similar
And cost only 15 $

ChristianGabriel

In my opinion this is the most classic middle eastern smell. Combination of oud with rose.
Really light (not talking about the performance), uplifting type of scent. In the opening there’s a strong spicy rose smell with some oud traces. After max 10 minutes, the oud is coming strong. To me is a bit of a skanky oud, especially if you’re smelling close to the skin, but after a while it gets creamy and sweet with some spicy traces here and there. In the base, everything is smoked out by the incense.
This can be used all year around.
This is totally unisex, leaning a bit feminine.
Performance is acceptable, around 7 to 8 hours, projecting soft for 2-3.
I don’t think I would buy this again, mostly because it’s kind of a basic smell to me, or something that I’ve smelled before.

donshan123

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I actually ordered Lattafa's "Velvet Oud" from an eBay seller. Instead, the seller sent me "Oud Mood", and I am NOT mad. I am diggin' this fragrance. It's dark, sweet, and intoxicating. Such a sexy scent that's perfect for a fall/winter night. I would recommend it, but don't take my word for it.

For any fragrance, read reviews before buying it, but take them with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own opinion regarding smells. Some people love a specific fragrance. Some people hate it. My advice is for you to get a sample of ANY fragrance before you ever buy it. That way, you can assess it yourself and have your own thoughts rather than strictly going off someone else's thoughts and opinions. So, do not let my opinion influence you.

FeeBeeTee

I wasn't sure how much I was going to like this fragrance, but based on friend's reviews, I knew I had to get it. I'm very happy that I followed through with the purchase. I actually find myself liking it more than I expected. The spray is very soft. Best of all, I have lotions and body mists that I can layer with.

Lilly215

I'm back with another more detailed review of this ..... Very light on me though people call this a "beast" scent. Initial spray, first spray, it smells like hair grease to me. So I was wondering if it has bergamot. Though bergamot, it is not one of the notes on "fragantica". It is a pleasant scent but it smells light to me.This is not a heavy, "beast" middle eastern fragrance. I smell the musk, light oud is coming through and incense, warm, spicy, light musk. The cool down, dry down I am getting more of a actual fragrance than the hair grease smell. Which is quite lovely, the musk, incense, light oud. This is a powdery, spicy, warm scent. If I wave my wrist in front my face, it has nice lovely projection. However it is a very likeable scent for me .... not love. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. I like it, not love. It is not very fragrant to me. Not a "wow" scent. Just warm, spicy, and light on my skin. The dry cool down, bottom notes is best to me. I feel this is a unisex scent but I think a man who is really into scents and knows his scents would layer ,pair this up with another scent. Maybe this as a good base scent. It feels like it needs more ... like something is missing in this fragrance. I'm going to play with it and see. Longevity is good, silage good. I say the longevity is 6-8 hours. It's a excellent buy for the price. Would I buy again? A good ... "maybe" if I can find that missing ingredient. Which I "think" is musk. It needs to be a tad more animalistic in my opinion. I think if it were a tad "animalistic" and a lil darker but not heavy, I would " love" Oud Mood. I don't think that would sit well with "westerners" but would be a game changer for people of the middle east. who actual know middle eastern scents. Again 3.5 outta 5 stars for me. Which is actually a good rating for me.

Maleficent's cotton candy

When I first sprayed this, I was caught off guard. It was a blind buy and smelled nothing like I anticipated. It opened up sharply and smelled similar to Mancera’s Instant Crush with less sweetness. I didn’t hate it but had to give it some time. It was a similar feeling to when you take a sip of a drink you expect to be cola but it turned out to be seltzer water.

But this dry down. Oh my goodness. The dry down on me is saffron, soft, powdery (unlit) incense and brown sugar.

This smells like a dominant, wealthy and sexy woman. Maybe in her 30s or 40s. Expensive pant suit- not evening gown. Diamond stud earrings. Low bun. Only mascara and red lips. Effortlessly gorgeous and in charge of everything. Her employees can’t tell if they have a crush on her or want to be her.

Chanel de Lanvin

I like to wear it in cool weather, it's dark and deep and holds up well.
If you like the Invictus go your way.

abbieclark67

In my opinion, it's more of a male scent but me personally don't have a problem to wear such a fragrance. The opening is quite rosy with some pimento and saffron and you can’t actually get any hint of oud. But after an hour or so, the heart emerges with lots of ouds mixed perfectly with patchouli backed by the caramel and floral notes. Dry down in this is all about the amber, musk, incense, resins, and woody notes. I feel very pleasant, clean, and soft while wearing this but soon there is muskiness, smokiness, woodiness, and strong sandalwood and vanilla presence. Longevity is long-lasting and the projection is moderate while the silage is pretty good.
I feel that this could be worn best in winter, fall, and cold nights.

((This is a review of Reminiscence version, not in database) Unisex, leaning more towards masculine but there's definitely a wearable feminine edge to it.
I think this smells delightful! A little bit aftershave-like, but not noticeable enough to detract from the beauty of it.

The opening burst is VERY zesty, and yes - quite shaving cream like. But fresh, and nice. It dies down though, and when it does what you are left with is wood, saffron and raspberry. This would be really perfect on a man.

MCW7

Not super impressed with this fragrance. even though it is a very long lasting with good Sillage . It’s weird smelling. Strong amounts of oud, vanilla.
oud is somewhat toned down and not in your face but very present . After the dry down you are left with a strong vanilla extract scent. that you keep getting little wiffs of. but it is not a sweet vanilla. The oud is still present as well . but the vanilla takes over the scent . I have mixed feelings about this one. Going to use it a couple more times before I decide to keep or get rid of it

badar.khalil

good fragrance ,good sale, but you get boring after using half a bottle.

Unfortunately, I do find oud mood too strong and incensey. so I tried the two flankers of this perfume (oud mood reminiscence and oud mood elixir). It turns out that reminiscence (the one that comes in the silver packaging) is a masterpiece. It has a very polite, toned down oud and incense+ sweet and edible notes that are not nauseating like in chaghaf oud ( caramel and saffron, and the saffron on it is just spicy not intense), and finally a red fruit note that smells like raspberry. Very beautiful discovery and a very nice sweet oriental scent for people who're not crazy about smoky oriental ouds and who have a weak stomach when it comes to sweet scents. The other flanker ( oud mood elixir) is very interesting but not very wearable in my opinion! It smells very animalic, like untreated leather. But the bottle ( deep golden juice and rose gold detailing)is the best of the three oud moods.

jjluvsm9

I own both Oud Mood and Shaghaf Oud. They are similar but different enough to justify having both imo. The Oud in Oud Mood is much more prominent and smooth compared to the sharp Oud which is less prominent due to the praline in Shaghaf Oud. I like Oud Mood on other people but sadly on myself it isn’t great at all. Smells very masculine with my body chemistry - just smells like dirty smoky musky incense and oud. I don’t get any hint of caramel, saffron or rose sadly. It’s a shame as I wanted a more everyday alternative to Shaghaf Oud but this leans just to masculine on my skin, for my taste.

My rating: 6.5/10
Bf rating: 7.3/10

This review is for Musk Mood (not in database). Musk Mood is in the family of Lattafa's Mood release. Clear bottle with white ribbon. Musk Mood is very warm, creamy and powdery. Nivea type musk. Lasts all day (a few days actually) and into the next. Only one spray will do. Much stronger than any of my other similar perfumes. Very cocooning and lotion-like. Suited to cold weather. Quite similar to Al Haramain's Junoon, Mauboussin Histoire Sensual and a few others.

ugly_sara_turns_it_hard

It’s a rosy sweet smoky wood close to the skin but it projects sharp dirty bitter incense. The scent it projects is as masculine as it gets imo, macho even. In its defence, my skin seems to project everything sharper and I do have very minimal experience with oud. I’ll probably be giving it away to someone more masculine. The skin scent is very smooth and dreamy, I wish that was the scent all the way through!
Definitely not a safe blind buy, unless you really love oud!

cloudswirl

I really love this fragrance! I purchased a small 1 oz bottle and am seriously debating buying the bigger one too.

Oud Mood mostly focuses on the incense note. It's pretty linear, the only change on me was the slow fading of the caramel into the woody/oud notes. I wouldn't say it's super sweet but more of soft subtle sweetness that perfectly balances the smell of the woody notes.
A good purchase for someone looking to get into Middle Eastern fragrances.

It didn't last the longest on my skin...I would say around 4 hours. On my clothes it lasted around 6 hours. Really good perfume for the price point.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It does really remind me of Shagaf Oud by Swiss Arabian - although I would say Oud Mood is softer and less projection. Shagaf is more rose and Oud Mood is a little more woody. If you have one - they're similar enough that I don't think you need the other. Oud Mood is Shagaf Oud's little sister.
To me its unisex - leaning more feminine. Its smooth Oud and some woody smokiness with light rose. It smells like a wealthy mature woman to me. She's slightly mysterious and very confident in herself. Its almost like she knows a secret that you don't. I would say ages 25+.
For $30 on Amazon its a YES from me. I think it could work from Fall - Spring but to heavy for summer time heat (although I haven't tested it yet).

ElinfromtheMoon

Have you ever fallen in love with a fragrance? The flood of feelings of "omg, this is it, this is perfect, beautiful, I can't even.." is something we all seek. Well, Oud Mood gave me that feeling.

Opens super spicy and warm, turns into a complex, warm sweet scent with spicy incense. The first thing that came to mind, was that this is a scent of a magician searching for ancient mysterious artifacts in a desert.
Projection is huge, lasts forever, and I got it for 10 dollars. Wtf, how is this possible

MKT_Scent

This is good! I’m 22 so I was scared to smell like an old lady. First smell out of the box it smelled like shoe polish? Next day I put it on, wow! Sweet from the caramel, woody and Oudy (has that slight rubbery smell, slightly animalic), distinct floral notes. My batch is from 2021 and lasted the WHOLE day. Has a strong yet soft smell, hard to describe. It’s almost as if it’s a round smell, not sharp at all, very transparent in a way yet thick from sweetness. In the air smells like sweet flowers with caramel and oud.

Rehanshahid

It was a hasty by with a pre mindset to buy it. Even didn’t get alarmed after using tester. Once i bought it I regretted it. Its very sweet kind of fragrance not manly to me at all but not likeable by women even.

BewitchingJasmine

Just here to add to the chorus of praise. Oud Mood is a smooth, woody, caramel Oud. It even gives me nuances of chocolate but that could just be the lactonic character of caramel mixed with the richness of Oud. It does all this without being too sweet. It is well loved for a reason

BigMommyMilkers

This is the fragrance that makes you smell like an Arabian Prince with cash to splash. The Oud is more of a Sandalwood scent, which isn't a bad thing, and is actually a good thing it blends nicely with Incense and Musk at the Bottom Notes.
Versatility wise, it's good for all weather, anytime of day. People have said it's good for the colder months over the hotter ones, and in some sense they are right, mainly due to the sweet/amber smell you get on the drydown - it's a welcoming and warming scent for the colder months. But the rose, Saffron and Musk make it a good scent for warmer months as the heat expands the scent and lets it explore more of its surroundings for other people to smell.
Is it a safe blind-buy? Yes, it was a blind buy for me, and I'm loving it. Full price? Yes. For the price and presentation it's an absolute steal, and you'd be doing yourself a favour buying it. Versatility? All year around, doesn't matter the occasions or event - you are going to be smelling nice.
The incense part of the Bottom Notes are some of the most exciting scents to look forward to it, it's very relaxing after a long day due to the longevity lasting for more than 8hrs.
100% should everyone buy this and use it as a signature.

Sigh... I'm getting tired of companies who make one tweak to a formula, give it a new name and packaging, and market it as a different product. This is the same as Opulent Oud, also from Lattafa. In a side by side test, the opening is different for mmmmaaaaybe about 90 seconds. Then, as the sort of fruity top in Opulent Oud dissipates, they become identical. This is Opulent Oud without the citrus top. Boring. Performance is lacking too. I mean, for $17, how upset can I be, but it IS upsetting that respected Middle Eastern houses like Lattafa are pulling these shenanigans. I guess I'll stop buying different bottles from these kinds of houses and expecting that they may actually contain different fragrances when it's really all pretty much the same.

Quick edit to add: I sprayed it on, tested for a while, and then a bit later showered and washed it off as I was getting ready for work. After I got out of the shower, bam, it is absolutely a very nice sandalwood, surprisingly good. Now if that sandalwood note would pop more, without having to be applied and then washed, that would be the key.

LyvNose

There’s no oud, it’s sandalwood !!!

Laoire

Purchased this over 2 weeks ago and have used half the bottle already due to the lack of projection and sillage. When first spritzed it would appear to be strong, but after 15 minutes it disappears on me. Maybe it is just my skin type. Pity because it is nice!

Kellergirl

Cute bottle, but stright up stinky oud. Just awful, and headache inducing.

monamostafa212013

IT's a really nice oud perfume. leaning more to females due to the presence of caramel which is not so prominent but it just adds a bit of lovely sweetness to such a rich scent like the agarwood

Perpetual Collector

I was about to buy a backup bottle of my beloved Shaghaf Oud, when curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on Oud Mood instead. I wanted to see if they are really that similar, and they are, but I do not think they are dupes of each other. Shaghaf Oud is clearly oud with pralines and Oud Mood is oud with caramel, no mistake about it. I find Oud Mood much oudier and sharper than Shaghaf Oud, therefore Shaghaf Oud reminds my very number one, despite my huge and somewhat expensive wardrobe. I often say that if I had to give up all my fumes and keep only one it would be Shaghaf Oud, and I stand by that. I am happy to have Oud Mood as well, I paid 21 bucks for it, and I just don't understand how they can pull off this luxurious packaging and the liquid inside for just 20 bucks??? These Arabian companies sure spoil us. they can not be beaten for the price! Anyways, Oud Mood is just a "like" for now, i sure wish it was a tad sweeter!

smaranda_popescu

Most successful blind buy so far. Warm, delicious, woody, sensual, unique. Refined and strong (in the best way possible, not overwhelming), with personality, fit for every occasion!
Already got compliments (I have it since 6 hours ago)! My new signature scent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

emione

A much cheaper but excellent variation of Arabian Oud Resala, very good performance and projection and for the money a steal!!! Bottle and presentation are excellent as well. A great cold weather beast!

Senzadite

@ Sibaraa: I bet that Beyonce you are wearing or any of your Nicki Minaj's smell more natural...

bel.gravia

I have wanted to try Oud Mood for a couple of years. No idea why I kept delaying as it is so affordable. Well I never liked the bottle looked so unattractive to me.
This perfume arrived today, looks better than I expected. The scent is a deep dark caramel. Oud Mood is very ambery and resinous indeed. Even smoky. It is veeeery strong, has no harsh opening. Perhaps the overall impression is a little synthetic but I get that from way more expensive designer scents too. Oud Mood is just ever so slightly flowery, mostly its all about the heavy amber, resins and smoke. Great choice for winter.

sibaraa

I just don't like it at all. Smells very cheap and synthetic.

Arber Cami

I dislike this perfume. Nice presentation, cool and unique bottle. But the scent : cheap rose smell with oud and a little caramel. 2020 batch, 3 hours max longetivity. Wast of money.
