This is nice, but smells identical to Zara's Memoire Intense. Fruity, sweet rose.
I don't get any popcorn unfortunately.

scarlett.angel

Waited for autumn/winter to finally return simply so I can wear this beauty and smell it's gorgeous notes... instead of nauseous headaches during 40 degree Celsius summer 🌹❤🍿

Snob Smells

Ran through my 1.7 oz and upgraded to the 3.4 size. Out of all of the Idole flankers, Nectar is my favorite. It is sweet and addictive, yet wears so beautifully and feminine. The popcorn note translates more like a caramel/burnt sugar vibe. You must enjoy rose to really appreciate this beauty, but if you do you won't be disappointed. Idole Nectar will forever be in my collection..it's a staple at this point.

ayarossx

I thought Im going to like this and I could even smell the popcorn note on the paper but on my skin it smelled nothing but a shampoo with some harsh sweet floral chemicals

Dimanta

This is my second flanker of Lancôme’s Idole. Le Parfum has been my favourite of all but this is my second favourite. I was looking forward to popcorn more but I couldn’t find it. Instead it has a nice rose, caramel and vanilla scent that is little bit too sweet for me but at the same time very unique and interesting. I have memories while using this perfume therefore I might like it still, however I ended up selling my bottle because of the too sweet notes.
I think it’s perfect scent for not too hot summer days. Maybe summer mornings and evenings (except in Florida). Can be nauseating sometimes.

Mags322

Oh I love this one ,I think it’s better than the original, it’s stronger and I always feel special when I wear this. I’m nearly finished my small bottle so I will be buying the bigger one once it’s finished.

scent.2go

Rose, rose and...rose. It's airy, sweet, but not caramel sweet. And there is no popcorn at all. It is boring

chimidoro

I tried multiple versions and now I'm confused 🤔
One dried down to a lovely marshmallow Idole vibe scent and It's the one I want. Is it this one?
I think it's either this or the "NOW" version.
Anybody know? 🌹♥️

Ultravioletsun

On paper, I would've steered clear of this scent but I actually really like it. This is for your SWEET, girly rose lovers. It stays relatively linear to my nose but this is a very warm, sweet, buttery and enveloping rose. The name is fitting because it does smell like you extracted the nectar of a pink and red roses in bloom. I don't pick up the popcorn or caramel individually but moreso just adding sweetness and depth to the primary rose note. Unless you're a gourmand lover, this is a night-time and/or cool weather rose this would be insane on a hot day. I would also consider this to be very romantic. I only had a sample so I can't say much about the projection and longevity but I'd say it's decent to long lasting. To my nose, it's slightly similar to Philosophy Amazing Grace Intense but Amazing Grace is just a bit fresher and soapier.

FreshieFrance

This is a strange one. The initial spray is delicious, but soon after it goes dirty and stale. It shares similarities to you’re the one, but that one stays fresher. Not a fan of you’re the one, I bought this for the caramel/popcorn note, but there’s something Not fresh about this one. I’ll keep trying to like this but not sure if it will get better. I’ve never found a Lancôme frag that I’ve lived tbh.

Nothing like Guerlain Rossa forte, or anything from Guerlain really.

konga5

If you layer this with a Lattafa Oud Mood fragrance = Lancome Oud Bouquet !!!!!!

Ginny6464!

I Layer this with Cheirosa 62 and OMG!!

Someone mentioned a weird dry down smell now I smell it, don't like the dry down at all. Full bottle available for swap

vanillabeanshampoo

Where the other Idoles turn salty and sweat-like on my skin, Idole Nectar leans into a very soapy note, clean, ever so slightly sweet, as if I used a caramel body wash a few hours ago. The rose isn’t old-school like in Jo Malone’s Red Roses, nor is it jammy like in Mancera’s Royal Vanilla. I cannot imagine why anyone would dislike this simple, inoffensive scent.

konga5

This is my first LANCOME perfume . Got this for a great deal ($56.00 3.4 oz, slightly used. 2 year old bottle) . I love it and now want to retrace my steps and seek the Original . The OPENING is the least impressive part. This blooms and takes a few moments . This is pretty strong right now - but my nose is not used to it yet. Pretty floral balanced by the caramel & popcorn -- but ultimately --the floral wins by a little bit. This is very intoxicating ! You will feel like the cosmetics counter was giving out free snacks !
Not much more to say.. SAMPLE it at Ulta Beauty for free here in the USA ! Oh- the Slim line bottle is prone to falling over ! I lay this FLAT on my dresser. EDIT: This is my new signature scent !

Blossomlove

My favorite flanker, ever. I adore this scent. It’s simpler than Idole, but how could I not love a triple dose of roses, popcorn, vanilla, and caramel done by a very refined perfume company? It’s a yes, yes, yes for me. It remains a floral fragrance which I appreciate as I’m not the biggest fan of gourmands. This is the type of gourmands I like, based on something else but also sweet and slightly decadent. This will have to suffice for my love of popcorn in scents since Miss Dior Cherie was dc’d and now too old to enjoy. I hope they never stop making Idole Nectar. My only regret is that I only have a 30mL. I’m definitely picking up a 3.4oz when my little bottle is done. Also, don’t get a 30mL, it’s so skinny it falls over all the time. I have to lean it on my 100mL Idole. This is my winter Idole with Idole used during warmer weather.

Peaches&Cream

This is very sweet & jammy. Like AvalonCali, I too do not detect popcorn or caramel notes only the rose. When I smelled it in stores on the tester strip it was sweet and rosy to my nose, now that I am wearing it on skin and clothes it reminds me so much of You're The One - Bath and Body Works. If i put two and two side by side I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This is a definite dupe for it. To give it that caramel note i did layer it with cheirosa 61, I still smell I'dole Nectar (now going on 7+ hrs.) You do not need to overspray because it is very strong. I do feel like it will give me a headache so it's best worn for fall, winter and in the early spring.

AvalonCali

I bought this for popcorn and caramel notes, and my nose does not get either one. I definitely get a fresh rose bomb that's on the sweeter side.. but not one that I like. The vibe is a bit too "perfumey" to the point it almost gets heady. Made the mistake of buying the whole bottle too, I gave it to my friend.

Silvi_pankova

After a 3-4 month debate with myself if I should get Nectar or not, the debate has been won, I am buying it for summer.
Rose fragrances can be tricky. They are either too boring and bathroom freshener like or too mature and cloying. This one just hits the spot.

The opening is a little odd for me but the rose is just right, in 1 hour it’s jammy and sweet (not too sweet) with a pinch of salt from the popcorn and in 2 hours it blends with my skin chemistry almost completely leaving just a mild trace of rose and caramel.
Easy to wear, long lasting and weird in a charming way.
I don’t like any of the other Idôles and I am not a part of the Delina nor Intense café cult so trust me, get your nose on this.
Will update if it’s a compliment getter after I purchase and give it at least a month of wears

nazzynaz

This is an interesting one for me. It is VERY sweet, flirty and youthful at the beginning but the dry down smells like a sexy grandma. Not the vibe or scent I'm going for. Personally I would not purchase.

ElisabethS

I've heard that no matter how much you hate rose, if you're into fragrance, it's only a matter of time before you find a rose scent you like. I've discovered that, despite spending most of my life repulsed by rose, I like it if it's salty (e.g., Rose Atlantic) or sweet (e.g., Delina or Very Good Girl) but not powdery (I still strongly dislike straight rose scents). Idole Nectar is definitely in the sweet rose category with a pinch of salt from the caramel popcorn. I love pairing it with Olay's Rose Water and Sweet Nectar body wash and the Tree Hut Moroccan Rose body butter. They don't match perfectly, but they go together to enhance the perfume. I can't say that I can detect the popcorn note all that much, but it's a fun idea. This is an "easy reach" fragrance. I spray once or twice and enjoy it all day without knocking anyone over with my scent. It's fresh and floral. Sexy in a girl-next-door way--definitely a Betty, not a Veronica.

cutiepi

I have been searching for a rose fragrance, and there is something about this one I absolutely love! It has the og Idole dna for sure - which just smells like a fresh rich girl shower to me, with that gourmand vanilla base. I will be buying this as soon as I finish my bottle of og Idole!

Vstar1

This is gorgeous, my favorite of the Idole line. It’s floral and sweet and very well balanced. It really does smell like a rich nectar. It’s rose and sweetness, with no trace of the potpourri smell I get from the other Idole scents. Doesn’t last very long or project much though.

sugahuni

Absolutely adore this beautiful fragrance. Adorable floral yet slightly musky scent which lingers beautifully and long lasting. Rose heavy that makes it smell so lovely, love rose scents absolute favourite of mine. Reminiscent of Fenty fragrance, which I also own & love both, as they're both rose infused. Longevity and silage are excellent, worth every penny! A delight to wear night or day 👍👌❤

catina

Rose. Absolutely nothing but rose for me. Pass.

intiek

Man this is sexy. sweet caramel mixed with a synthethic but stylish rose note. It is quite simplistic but honestly, it doesn't matter, it makes me happy and I just want to get closer and keep smelling this, so sweet and welcoming. This sounds schizo but if i could drink fragrances I would drink this one for sure. This is my favourite from the Idole line, the other ones aren't very interesting to me, but this is just straight up yummy. I just had to buy it for my girlfriend. Girls, get this if you want your man to be licking the skin of your arms for realies.

angechante

It threw me off a bit but after a few tests I really began to love it! Got her recently from my mom for Christmas and she's been a favorite in my collection. It has the feeling of a rose dessert, like a rosewater flavored turkish delight, it's a unique and interesting gourmand despite its simple notes, and the bottle is gorgeous.

Samelia

This is a sweet rose fragrance, that gives off a turkish delight type scent. It is extremely feminine, soft and airy (the scent does not feel dense in the air). I don’t detect the popcorn note much myself, primarily rose and caramel, with a soft vanilla in the background.

I can smell this fragrance on myself, which I quite like. Sillage is impressive and others have also commented on it. Long lasting as expected from Lancôme. I do find it’s quite linear though and doesn’t change too much from initial spray.

I am wearing it in warmer weather, but can also see it working in the colder months.

BeatriceCetti

Very nice for spring and summer, fell in love with the tester... probably I'll buy it again

Sarra816

A sweet and buttery rose with a vanilla powder dry down. Gorgeous scent! I feel this is the most youthful and playful out of the Idole line with that sweet caramel popcorn note -- which brings a slight gourmand touch to the fragrance but it is clear this remains a sweet floral.
Prefer this for the cooler months to maintain the crispness of the fragrance.

Aquapinkmoon

I’m not a major fan of the original idôl but tested this anyway and oh my gosh surprisingly i really enjoy it. I smelt this before seeing the notes and oddly I don’t think that the notes are completely accurate. To me this is really fruity and sweet, and like the name suggest, this perfume has a nectar vibe to it. I got a splash of this sweet, peach or apricot note which has stayed the entirety of this wear and is super summery. I did detect the popcorn note as the perfume was drying down but luckily it quickly faded, looking at the notes now I can definitely smell the rose, the vanilla is very subtle and the caramel is probably what gives this perfume it’s sticky, sweet, nectar smell. I’d say this is perfect for any occasion or season but would shine best on a summer day or night. Most definitely missing an apricot or peach note in the listing.

andie_x

I am so in love! I love You’re the One body
mist from BBW, but the perfume version has very poor performance on me. When I discovered this one (I wasn’t a big fan of the OG Idole) I instantly loved the scent profile! It doesn’t have the strawberry note of you’re the one, but paired with the body mist is such a perfect combo! Signature worth it for me!

Tintalle

I love the opening of this fragrance, but when it dissipates I cannot smell anything at all until many hours later. I wake up to a beautiful rosy vanilla on my wrists and it is just lovely. I am sure it smells that way all during the period I am noseblind toward it. That's the only thing that makes sense. I just can't detect it.

I have a similar issue with Idole Aura, actually, even though I still really love that perfume. I don't understand what the problem is, but it's a major bummer. I really like these fragrances. I just don't get to experience the middle and it's not worth having a 100 ml bottle if this is the way it is going to be. I am returning the large size I have but I may buy the purse spray, just to enjoy the opening sometimes (and awaken to that gorgeous dry down).

Domenica23

Idole Nectar is a complete scent, it has it all and that is why I decided to take it. It just doesn`t stick for more than a short hour. Then it`s gone. Whatever, I will enjoy it pure or layered.

paulamurrrz

As a review said I don’t think this is a summer scent. It’s a sweet, youthful candy scent. From experience, this is not a safe blind buy. To me it is overly sweet and overpowering, does not perform well during the summer or hotter days. I really like vanilla scents but I think this would be worn by someone younger.

puselabber

Opens up with the most gorgeous youthful rose. Love the opening!! Sweet romantic rose. The mid didn't work too well for me with the caramelised popcorn unfortunately. It has absolutely no similarities with Miss Dior Cherie (2005) even if they shares some notes. Great sillage and incredible lasting-power.

kiddo221998

If you find the roses on the original and intense are harsh you would love this this is a sweater fruiter version of the original also lasts only 4 hours on me.

Cecilie.l.s.m

Blind buy...
I do like the smell... From a distance (on other people).

On me, it is a very sharp rose-scent.
I can detect some vanilla, but only if i really search for the smell.

Next time i use this, i will try, to spray from a distance, and maybe try not to hit near my head.

The constant sharp smell of roses, are giving me a hint of a headache.

But i really want to love this fragrance on me. I know i like it... But it is just SO strong...

Clws

I've had this since it came out in the teeny tiny cute little bottle and it's a pretty fragrance. I can smell the caramel, popcorn - very easily amongst the roses. But, it ends on a detergent musk which isn't a favorite of mine. If that wasn't in there, I'd wear it at least monthly. If you like that type of musk/feel this is a great choice for an easy reach.

cranky137

I tried this one today in store and I cannot stop smelling the blotter. It smells so good …. Of an expensive laundry detergent. No offence, but I just want this soapy feeling on my skin!! So surprised by this one because I didn’t like the original at all!

romanticblossom

It is sooo pretty and feminine! Lovely rose with caramel, popcorn and vanilla adding the sweetness and warmth. It is very classy and romantic. I get many compliments!!

joygrassman

Absolutely love this. Gentle and sweet. Lovely for work since the silage isn’t too strong put on with discretion. One of my all time faves.

Perfume_concierge

I blind bought the Lancôme . And at first it opens up to this flowery , powery almost edible scent . I decided to wear it to school on a hot day ,And when I tell you I smelt like BO and had a huge headache. Left me so traumatized not even exaggerating which lasted for EVER . I feel like this is a not a summer scent . Good longevity too because I smelt nothing but Lancôme the whole day until I had to take a bath and wash my clothes to wash that horrid smell of.

22dxb

one of my favorite rose vanilla scent. it becomes soapy but idk i liked it. makes me feel like i smell fresh all day

Samouna

I liked the fragrance. There was a hint of frutiness and sugar in it. I thought it could be good for summer but it gave me a headache. I know it's the caramel and popcorn. In Miss dior (2017) thay have the same effect on me.

Faverinsky

NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY! I purchased the 50 ml without sniffing it because I love Idole Aura and really like the edp... it opens up pretty, like roses and vanilla, but after about half an hour it turns into harsh, loud, laundry detergent on my skin and it lasts FOREVER! So, if you love it and want to get your hands on a sprayed once 50 ml bottle of Nectar, pm me!

Delrey2002

A sweeter version of the original Idole. I like them both, but for gourmand perfume lovers the nectar is better. It has really good projection and longevity, as all the other lancome fragrances.

Holley_12345

really wanted to love this, but for some reason I didn’t. Initially, it smelt really nice…..I liked it, I just didn’t love it. I kept smelling my wrist to make a final decision before purchase, but there was still something bothering me about it. With that being said, I still found the longevity pretty good as well as the projection. I could still smell it about 5 hours after application. I would say there’s better Lancôme perfumes in terms of longevity and projection. And to be honest, this perfume actually started to make me feel a bit sick after a while. Anyway it might be your thing, I wouldn’t say it’s the worst perfume I’ve smelt.

sunchild50

I've had this fragrance for a while now so can do a thorough review. I get why it's called nectar - a comment below about pollen is spot on. Seems like a play on the "nectar" or sweetness from flowers. It's very floral heavy, like a rose garden (or maybe dried roses), with a juicy sweet opening.

The opening is unbelievably good. It's sweet, a little fresh/soapy even, like this burst of juicy sweetness. It's probably why I bought it. Then the rose comes in - I do like rose, but the drydown after a while is a little nauseating. They were not joking when they said this has three types of rose in it. You can tell. It lasts a long while too, I'd say 6-8 hours, and projects well.

I honestly don't get much caramel, popcorn or vanilla. It's not a gourmand fragrance, it's a strong rose. I still think it's elegant and crowd-pleasing, but I don't reach for it often as I worry the dried rose notes will give me a headache. It makes me think of flowers and hayfever. I might go back to it in the winter and see if the rose is still so intense.

HannahS

this might be one of my favorite perfumes now, lovely scent and I can smell the caramel and vanilla. (:

AlexandraRoseD

This version is very similar to the OG, but the rose here is done in a "nectar" fashion, with a very pollen vibe (got even a runny nose from it).

The parfume is very dominant and linear, and I needed to wash my arm twice with soap to take it off after lightly spraying.

The scent is too heavy for me and could not find a lighter edge to it, so I gave away my 10ml bottle.

LiaHr

It’s an absolute love of first smell (sight). I had a chance to try Lancome Idole Nectar yesterday and couldn’t stop myself from buying it. When I saw the pyramid I was shocked, because when you see 3 types of rose, you expect something very intense, however the scent is super balanced and feminine. The combination between sweetness and freshness is stunning. I love it so much..

lillybethholmes

Perfectly pleasant. Not screechy, not cloying, but also not... delicious... like I'd hoped with caramel and popcorn. It is lovely as a non-temple-punching rose, a powdery, sweet rose, but I don't get much of the caramel or the popcorn. It smells clean and approachable. Perfectly pleasant. I feel like if I had a lot of money, I'd have it in my collection as a 'safe' everyday sort of perfume, but I don't have a lot of money, so am unlikely to splash out for a full bottle, and will stretch out my sample until I forget about it :)

Gionnijulius1820

I actually LOVE this, i wasn't expecting much from it, but WOW, so beautiful & it stands out in the idole collection, it us unique in its own right, this is more complex, sweeter and more rich then the OG Idole, I Love the whole idole line up, b/c they have everything from sweet and rich, to fresh and pretty, to deep floral and warm & they each last a long time and have awesome sillage! I will continue to repurchase this, it's a safe beautiful feminine scent blind buy safe id safe.

LeChemiste

This one smells very classic. It is a rose-forward sweet floral, and caramel and vanilla give it a turkish delight impression. I detect a hint of popcorn only in colder weather, in summer it is mostly rose, rose and more rose, which dries down into soft vanilla. Very feminine and inoffensive, would recommend it as an everyday scent since I am a huge rose gal, but it's nothing revolutionary.

fruity_iykwim

I think this one is just weird with my chemistry unfortunately :( 💔 so many reviews say this is lovely, but it comes off old lady to me.

first, it smells like a generic heavy sweet to me. this mixed with florals. I see what they were going for, but its not good on me.

I like the original idole, and I agree that this smells nothing like it. it smells weird and musty on me. again, I think this is on me. you should get your hands on a test strip at ulta or sephora. too expensive for a blind buy.

EDIT: I am selling a travel spray within the US! dm me if you're interested :)

rziotti

I love this flanker to me should be the classic.
All the time I wear receive compliments.
I have back up it just in case Lancôme decide to reformulate or even worst, take it out of Idole line
Is conforting, warm, creamy,at the same time, fresh, clear. I can go wrong with it.,❤️❤️❤️❤️

KatelynMLovesPerfume

I am just not a fan of smelling like popcorn.. And that note is very strong in this fragrance

Tshahb

Smells like sweet rose liquid hand soap. Not a bad smell, quite pretty in fact, but not what I seek in a perfume.

dm7918

Very linear to me, all I smell is rose, opening, middle and dry down. I wish I could notice the gourmand notes as the combo sounds delightful! I would wear this if I received as a gift, but likely will not purchase.

Velvetta

It was a love from the first sniff for me, immediately bought 50 ml bottle. They are just so pleasant, but I have to admit that half way through the bottle I'm a bit tired of them now, even to I didn't use them every day. They seem a bit too sweet sometimes and can be tiring.

Alae M

Mixed feelings.
I like the perfume, but there's a note I consider as a turn off which smells like dried roses, it might be either not mentioned in the notes, or this is the Turkish rose note, but I still smell it whenever I spray. Got some compliments after it dries down, but not when I first spray it specially that it opens up with the dried rose note (to me). I think the lady working at sephora gave me the wrong perfume (may be the one I liked was either the original EDP or Idôle Aura) because when I used the bottle I purchased, the notes smelled diffrent to my nose.

Overall, it's sweet and fruity, fresh feeling when used. Suitable for spring and summer (the whole day) because there is something feminine and nice about it.

Note: I recently checked Idôle collection at the airport, and I fell in love with Idôle now, may be it will be my next purchase :D

In general, I am a fan of Lancôme perfumes, and I like most of their fragrances.

SSolstice

The ‘nectar’ is really fitting here as this is a very sweet scent. Very rose forward with a hint of vanilla on the dry down. Like most, I don’t get the popcorn note. To me it smells almost like a perfume from another decade. Vintage and feminine. That being said, it’s still a crowd pleaser!

dexilio

Ok Lancome, I like this one. The rose and vanilla is smooth and buttery. I guess that's the popcorn note doing its work here. And strangely, the roses opens up more as it dries down on me despite the rose notes were listed as top notes. Then eventually it becomes a light rose and vanilla scent that is close to skin. Longevity of 4-5 hrs and decent performance on me.

Strawberrykitty

This smells like a La Nuit Tresor with body spray strength, which is really strange because it’s the same house. I actually do get the popcorn note, but it’s just barely there and honestly may be the result of me wishing that it were there. This is mostly a rose fragrance with sweetness, which I guess makes it Idole-enough.

yeesa_

I really like the initial spray its sweet and fruity, I dont get much rose. Once it dries down it reminds me of citizen Jill which I have so I dont need this one. Also the longevity isn't the best

CJJLOVESFUMES

The rose is so mature, very mature. I’m in my 40s for reference. Decluttering for a fresher lighter rose scent.

Kuty22

What a masterpiece😍😍😍😍
Projects like crazy, sweet super feminine - a love, I want to wear it during fall

Diari

Screechy in the same way of Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense, with a piercingly sharp musky base that I can only describe as radioactive detergent.

eva.daisy.88

This reminds me so much of Tresor Midnight Rose, also from Lancôme, but 11 years prior. Heavy rose jam. The only difference is (to my nose) that TMR has also this cassis note, which is a bit sharp and turns it a bit in cat piss direction. Idole Nectar doesn’t have such sharp note and is just sweet comfy rose-vanilla cloud. Comforting, but not my style.

chiaraherself

smells like someone just smacked you in the face with a big rose bouquet and asks "did you smell popcorn in there?" girl no.

seanmargaux

This is my current signature as someone who loves gourmands and florals, it’s everything I want in one bottle. It’s a perfect mixture of a sweet floral scent, and really inoffensive. Surely everyone wouldn’t mind smelling it, it’s a safe blind buy imo.

I personally don’t smell the popcorn, but I could pick up the caramel and vanilla along with the roses. Definitely give it a try and you’d appreciate it a lot. Drydown smells similar to Montblanc Signature.

Dhits77

I really wanted to like this, but I was unimpressed by this scent. It has a very feminine floral opening but then quickly turns into something generic sweet and cloying. It tries to smell expensive, but it became a bit offensive to the nose and headache inducing. Then after an hour or so, it finishes powdery with a hint of rose, like vintage rose talcum powder. Some elements of this scent reminds me of a Narcisco perfume - a bolder version of the fleur musc or a sister to the musc noir rose.

Jasmineaeisha

Soooo much better than the original! The way the rose mixed with the Jasmine in the og made me nauseous. This may be my most beloved Rose perfume. It’s so unique with the caramel & popcorn notes. Last forever & very affordable! Plus many compliments. What more can you want?

iriskravitz

Bought the Idôle L’Intense for the winter time, And I also smelled Idol Nectar and became addicted to the smell and asked for samples. After half a year of not stopping using the samples I decided to buy Idôle Nectar for the warm seasons and I am in love with the smell. It is sweet but not too much, light and pleasant. The perfect combination between a floral scent and a sweet caramel vanilla scent. The only downside is that I can’t really smell the popcorn note

kanyawee.1

Smell very joyful, long lasting, beautiful ❤️

strawberrycupcake

i bought this because my grandmother had some lancôme vouchers and it was going to run out if i didn’t spend it. anyways it smells salty and roses, i don’t smell vanilla at all though. since it was a blind buy i was soo anxious! it opened very rosey and in a few days the salt (popcorn i assume) presented itself. i really really wish i bought the og idole because i have a tester and it’s so much better! to make things worse i bought the biggest nectar😭.

gazgreen

Off the bat this reminds me of my favourite Mancera Roses Vanille. This is a beautiful well blended rose that's why the notes don't stand out individually. They just bloom and blossom. It is sweet and fresh at the same time. It is kinda like u put on a clean jammy rose deodorant and wear a crisp shirt that was washed in detergent and sun-dried. It is sexy and intriguing and some people are gonna ask what ure wearing. It has undertones of some detergent note I remember from years ago. I'm still trying to place it. I think its there in Cerruti 1881? Slightly reminiscent of Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose too? Slightly kitchen counter fruit bowl, guava & fig ? With the washing machine just nearby doing its job. I get several different facets despite it being blended well on the whole. But I like it that's what matters most to me.

I finally got to test this on my skin. It's super rosy, and very mature...it smells like a typical perfume from back in the day. Like something my teachers would've worn in the 90s and early 2000s.

...BUT! It's feminine and pleasant. There's a reason why perfumes like this appeals to the mass market. You can't go wrong with "feminine and pleasant." I wouldn't spend my own money on this, but I would be more than happy to receive it as a gift.

mikacorra247

I always thought the original Idole was pretty & fresh but quite sharp due to the prominent musk. But this flanker had perfected the Idole DNA in my opinion. No more sharpness, Idole Nectar is a clean rose vanilla with slight saltiness from the popcorn note. In comparison, Idole Aura is heavy on the vanilla & salt in the same vein as Paco Rabanne Olympea.

Now, I don't like rose, especially rose & musk combo. But Idole Nectar is SO addicting. The caramel and vanilla really complimented the rose. It smells as if I have just showered with a fragrant, moisturizing and luxurious body wash & immediately topped it off with a luxurious body cream. Clean yet sweet-smelling skin.

Very feminine & womanly. The longevity is also great, I get wafts of it as I go about my day. I live in South East Asia & this scent never became cloying or too heavy for our weather here. Full bottle worthy.

mon_cherri

I’m not a fan of rose scents whatsoever. I usually only tolerate them at best. This is the only rose heavy fragrance that I actually LOVE.

It’s blended so smoothly with the vanilla base. Something about this makes it hard for my nose to pick apart the notes, which is likely why I don’t mind the rose in this.

Heavenly. Sweet. Comforting. Decadent. She smells expensive!

LEM922

Let me tell you… I am so picky about my rose scents. To me, rose is one of the most difficult notes in perfumery, if you want to make a nice, mild scent. It's a strong note. And if you do it wrong, it can come off old fashion, grandma, suffocating. This? This is so elegant. So beautiful. I will say, I don't think I would spring for a full bottle of this, just because it's not my favorite scent profile, but I can definitely appreciate just how well done this perfume is. This is very classy, just gorgeous. This is a more youthful interpretation of a rose, but don't get me wrong… This does not smell juvenile, or young in any sort of way. And don't let that caramel corn note scare you, because baby this is a rose perfume. That is the star of the show, all the rose in those top notes. The bottom notes just round it out and keep it from being too stifling. This is a beautiful scent. I would recommend this to someone who is feminine, classy, and romantic. Would be a lovely signature for the right person.

onjelbercier

This is a carnival in a bottle! I love it! The caramel is prevalent and so is the popcorn. You know what that makes me think of?... Caramel popcorn, yall! The roses make it such a flirty scent, and the vanilla is rich and creamy. Perfect for a date night at a county fair. It is so well blended, girly, fun, romantic, and sweet. Think "Nothin' Like The Summer" by Carmen Rasmusen. That's the mood this evokes. Great for young ladies and teens!

hyalophororo

this is a really nice people pleaser fragrance. it’s a bit syrupy, but a very pleasant sweet, floral, and vanilla flanker. i don’t pick up on the popcorn note though, that might be just me. i would say it’s one of those scents that you can wear from everyday, doing your weekly errands, maybe to a formal event, and even dates. i like to imagine having a picnic in the middle of a rose filled garden, very very beautiful. i personally wouldn’t wear this, but even then, i still think this is pleasing.

Harley522

Tried this today. I was intrigued because of the popcorn accord.
This absolutely amazingly stunning perfume. But if you looking for a popcorn perfume, this is not the one. Popcorn is a minor supporting note here and adds just a slight warm fuzzy, grainy texture. I swear I can also smell sweet pear, but it’s not listed in the notes.
Overal this is sweet and cute 🥰 perfume. And the best Idole.

lindadejong25

Absolutely delicious! Definitely give this a sniff if you disliked the previous Idole perfumes.

vanillaberry

Coming from a rose perfume hater, this is a lovely rose fragrance. If you like gourmands and want to dip your toes into warm floral fragrances, this is a great one to start with. I would say it stays pretty linear throughout the day, although it does sweeten a bit on the drydown. Smells like roses dipped in caramel. 🌹🍮 Personally i don't detect popcorn at all.
I always feel like wearing this when i have something super feminine on, like a chiffon dress or something, lol. My boyfriend adores gourmands but he is obsessed with this one on me. Amazing for chilly temperatures, I tried it once on a hot spring day and it was overly cloying imo. Excellent performance as well!

nickistan005

As someone who works in a fragrance department, this was on my list as one I wanted to try on because I absolutely love the original Idole fragrance. Compared to the OG Idole I found this one to rosy for my liking, Had an amazing performance though, I will give it that.

Zackkcaz

Stunning and loving. I am male and I rock this embracing scent.

Lancôme Idôle Nectar Edp:

🗣Oh Wow,
This Perfume Is Really Insanely Addictive Stuff Indeed, And After A Few Day's Of Wearing It, Plus ALL The Really Beautiful Compliments It Has Brought Me From Close Family To Close Friends, Till Complete Strangers Outside, It's Absolutely Crazy!! Everyone I've Come Into Contact With, Always Say The Very Samething "WHAT IS THAT TRULY GORGEOUS SMELLING PERFUME YOUR WEARING"!!

Out Of ALL The Lancôme Idôle Current Line Up Of Fragrances, Grant It, I've Still To Try Out The "Intense Version" - As Im Told It's More For Autumn/Winter Use, This Nectar Version Definitely Is My Hands Down Favourite!! It's Just Pure Spring & Summer Time In A Bottle, And Such A Really Stunning Bottle It Arrives In Too!! "Peach Coloured, Irradiance" With A Rose Gold Coloured T-Bar Top With The Brand Name "Lancôme" Stamped Into It!! "VERY CLASSY INDEED"!!

I Find This Particular Idôle Fragrance NOT To Be Overly Sweet Nor Heavily Cloying In Anyway At All, And Lancômes Other Perfume "La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal" Are Now Actually Two Of My ALL Time Favourites For Spring/Summer Or Going Off On Holiday To Say Spain Etc!! And I NEVER Honestly Thought I Would Say That, As "Pôeme, Magie Noir & Ô" Are The Three Lancôme Perfumes I Usually Stick Too, And Buy Over And Over Again!!

On My Skin I Defiantly DON'T Smell This "POPCORN" Note That's Somewhat Listed, Nor Does It Come Forward In Anyway (Thank God) lol, Now I Must Add That There Is A Kind Of Butteryness In It's Character, Could That Be This Popcorn Or Caramel Note? But Certainly Yes I Can Smell And Pick Up Three Very Different Pink Roses In This - Grasse Rose, Rose, And Turkish Rose (Think Of A Rose Bush In Your Garden First Thing In The Morning - The Dew Sitting Heavy On It) Which Adds A Kind Of Freshness Into The Already Magical Mix!! If Your Not Into Rose Scents, You Might Actually Hate This Fragrance, So I Would Definitely Tell Anyone To "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY IT"!! Then As It Dries Down Even More On My Skin, The Vanilla Note Very Much Comes Forward, Not An Overly Sweet Nor Sickening Vanilla Smell, But Actually More Of A Playful Vanilla, That Blends To Absolute Perfect With The Roses, Caramel And Butteryness!! This Fragrance Definitely Flirts Around With Guy's & Men's Senses, And Makes Them All Give You That Helpless Second Look, As You Waft By Them, Leaving Their Emotions In A Jumbled Mess!! lol"lol"lol It Also Leaves The Most Wonderful Trail Of Fragrant Notes, Everywhere You Go!! It Wear's For Absolute Ages On My Skin, Try Around 24+ Hours, So A Few Squirts Of It Will Definitely Carry You From Morning To Nightime Without A Single Retouch Needed!! (I've Already Ordered Myself Another 100ml Bottle), As Im Absolutely Addicted To It, And Really Do Want To Wear And Use It Every Opportunity I Get!! Lancôme Really Have Hit The "JACKPOT" With This Gem Alright!! I Just l❤ve"L❤ve"L❤VE IT !! And Say BRAVO LANCÔME!!! Xx

P_a_p_e_rcuts

This really is delicious! For context I haven’t had the original Idôle. I get a honey scent when I spray on paper, but on skin it’s caramel, rose and slightly salty. This lasts so long, around 8hrs and I often find scents don’t last on me. The rose in here is quite realistic but combined with the caramel it certainly is rich and sweet. Gorgeous bottle! I think I’ll get through my 50ml of this in no time

LadyMuck

Yep, I like it!
It is a multi-layered rich feminine fragrance with great projection and even better staying power.

I can't say that this fragrance is totally unique.
It does remind me of many others scents I have tried over the years, but I liked those as well, so it has a good appeal generally.
I do get a hint of the popcorn note when I first spray it, but the rose notes blend with the vanilla/caramel notes and become delicious together.

It wafts throughout the day and yet it isn't cloying, and it isn't in your face.
Beautiful fragrance with much going for it.

The bottle is eye-catching with the orb in the centre of it.

Perfumerzlove

Get ready for the compliments! The popcorn note explodes mixed with just the right combination of notes here in this fragrance. This & Soleil Cristal are top 2’s in my personal favorites.

🌹🍦🍮

Bright, fresh, happy, uplifting rose (think the rose in Delina/Chloe), warmed and sweetened by the vanilla and caramel. All year ‘round scent. Good projection and great longevity. I love rose, caramel and vanilla notes in general and all 3 are prominent in this!

Could easily see this as my new signature scent (even though I did just say that about another frag...). But might save it for every few days when I need an extra mood boost. So probably every Monday and Wednesday :D

This was also the first perfume my partner got me so it holds a special place in my heart!

faline

received this perfume as a sample didnt even bother to smell it cause i dont like the original lancome but then i smelled a rosey salty sweet scent and checked it was coming from the sample and oh wow loved it. usually i hate perfumes that has rose in it but i fell in love with idole nectar planning to buy a full size asap! its a really classy sweet scent never had something like this before so its new to me cause i usually buy sweet vanilla like perfumes so im really glad ive found this perfume tried on a night clubbing and the longevity was nice idk about the sillage tho. and its a safe blind buy ig

honeyoceans

Sweet rosewater. I don’t get any popcorn which I don’t mind, just lots of rose and a small dose of caramel. It is slightly soapy, which I like in a floral scent. It preforms decently for me too. I will happily use up my sample, and hopefully add this to my collection

Skinscents4Fusspots

I am not trying to be sassy when I ask if there are two versions of Idole Nectar? The carded sample I received is called Idole L’eau de Parfum Nectar…. Is that what this listing is? If it is then why does this smell like head-splittingly sharp orange blossom to me? It smells like a typical Lancôme perfume in that it makes me feel a bit queasy (Poeme is the only one I’ve ever liked from the house, so maybe it’s just the DNA?), but I honestly don’t smell popcorn (which I’m glad of fyi) and I don’t smell caramel. It’s no sort of rose I’ve ever smelt either so I came back looking for an Idole with Neroli or Orange Blossom. It’s not sweet or gourmand to me in the slightest and it makes my nose tingle in a way that makes me feel like I’m going to sneeze! Shampoo /detergent levels of floral sharpness.

I seem to smell something super different to everyone else so maybe I have a different scent?! Either that or this one reeeeeeaaaaaalllly just doesn’t agree with me!

thaochipnd

Top most fragrant Rose scent I've ever tried!

Idôle Nectar is also the first bottle of Lancôme perfume that I have, and I was quickly impressed by this brand's meticulous way of blending scents. The passionate, sweet scent of Roses from the most beautiful Roses covers your body like a sea of spring flowers. The fragrant Rose and the fragrant aftertaste of Caramel are really attractive, making the scent much deeper. Of course, Rose is still the main character and shines brightly on that scent base.

P/s: I bought Idôle OG and both versions are amazing. However, between Idôle OG and Idôle Nectar, I still like Idôle OG a little more. The Rose in Nectar is sweeter and richer, in contrast to OG which is a pure, fresh and elegant Rose.

Rating: 10/10. A Rose as sweet as honey

perfume_angel

How can a perfume smell this good😍

I am obsessed with this beautiful and elegant and feminine beauty! It is such a pretty girl fragrance and makes me feel so put together and classy whenever I wear it. The bottle is as gorgeous as the scent inside!

It is a fresh pink rose (emphasis on pink) with sweet caramel drizzled ontop. The popcorn is also definitely present throughout the entire wear in the background, giving it an addictive and magical touch. I think the name nectar is suitable, as I imagine a sweet pink rose nectar in an ethereal garden 🌷🍮🍿

Also, this is very classique and perfumey. It smells like walking into a luxurious department store and testing perfumes. Yes, it does smell like a high quality designer perfume, but sometimes it is refreshing for me to take a step back from my niche perfumes and appreciate a classic fragrance that makes me feel elegant.

If you didn’t enjoy the original idole, then I still think that you will enjoy nectar. Because I personally did not enjoy the original as it was too sharp on me. This is more blended, smoother and sweeter.

The longevity and sillage on this is beyond amazing and it lasts all day on me at least a compliment or two whenever I wear it

Overall, if you love fresh and sweet pink rose ,and you love elegant feminine fragrances then you will adore this. 🩷

Ps. Very signature worthy!

tamarahopemarie

I just received a sample of this yesterday. I put it on this morning and let me tell you I was suprised I could not smell anything but Cherry Blossoms. However it’s the overpowering scent which made my head and nose go oh god. I decided to sit on it and wait.

I waited for about an hour and I can still smell cherry blossoms but I can now smell the rose. I can not smell any vanilla in it at all.

I let it sit for an hour and a half now and I can definitely smell a bit of the musk. But it’s very faint. It’s very sickly and headachy and I’m not typically that person who would say that as I’m a sweet, floral, woody and earthy person. But this one is a no go for me. I just can’t handle it. I will definitely pass the sample onto my mother in law which might sit better on her.

returntocherry

Received a sample but just too sweet and generic for my taste as with most Lancome fragrances. Not sure what's appealing about smelling like a bowl of sickly sweet caramel popcorn

sugahuni

Absolutely gorgeous perfume! Longevity and sillage just excellent, lingers for hours wonderfully.Fruity, floral with a hint of musk 🤩beautiful 😍Pleasure to wear 🙂

scarlett.angel

I just received a free sample of this in the mail from Lancôme, as soon as I opened the envelope, something so delicious wafted out! I've never really been a fan of most popular Lancôme fragrances, they usually advertise the hell out of them over Christmas, and they're the go to fragrances for everyone from your mum to your best friend.

I was totally surprised by Idôle Nectar. I love rose fragrances, however I usually prefer a fresher rose, especially during summer. The rose in this kinda gave me Lush Rose Jam vibes at first which I have a love/hate relationship with.

I'm also not a huge gourmand fan, unless it's the middle of winter, and something really special.

We still currently have summer day heat here, so most strong scents can be overwhelming.

I literally sprayed this sample once on my wrist, while sitting around in an air-conditioned room, and this delicious scent wafted out everywhere.

I got all of the roses, and that vanilla-popcorn-caramel smell which is so cozy, creamy and buttery. I can now imagine why it seems everyone is obsessing over that famous popcorn note. It's rich and buttery soft.

A gourmand with roses, which honestly sounds terrible, but somehow made modern, delicious, and addictive.

I can see why this is so popular. It's probably aimed at Gen Z or whoever cares, honestly I don't, this fragrance smells ageless and anyone who enjoys it can wear it. Definitely 100% feminine energy.

It's just turning into Autumn 🍂 here, and the night's are getting colder. I'm extremely grateful I discovered this at the right time, as I personally would've found it too overwhelming during summer, unless you are in aircon 24/7.

The roses really bloom in the cold, and those sweet gourmand notes remind me of lounging around in my favourite sweater, drinking a hot cup of tea, on the couch watching movies, while this delicious scent wafts everywhere.

There's nothing artificial smelling or nauseating in this either, which is rare these days for such a strong perfume.

I've never smelt the other Idôle fragrances, and after this, I really don't want to.

This is the ultimate pick-me-up fragrance when I'm feeling cold and down. It's both rich and comforting. I keep sniffing at the half used sample, and I'm definitely buying a full bottle for winter. I don't care if "everyone else" is wearing it. The entire damn world could be wearing this and I still want it.

This smells amazing to me for personal reasons too, and just having this sample got me through some tough nights alone. One sniff and I'm instantly transported elsewhere. Home where I belong.

The longevity on my skin lasts all day too, surprisingly these days for perfumes. I can only imagine spritzing it all over my clothes.

Can't wait to buy that beautiful, shimmery, full bottle. I could run to the stores and buy one now, however I'm waiting for the right time and buying it as a celebration gift for myself.

Okay, I love this scent. If you only try one from the idole line... make it this one.. It is a huge compliment getter too! The original idole dna is there but hike up the creaminess and a caramel popcorn note. It adds a little something modern and youthful and different. Idk why some people can't smell the popcorn.. of course every nose is different but I definitely pick it up!! The dry down is where it shines.. I love the scent after a few hours. While it might not be a powerhouse fragrance; it is worth trying if you're interested in something safe but with a little bit of an interesting twist. ♥

la_belle_duchesse

This perfume is so delicious! 😍 There is something really addictive about it. The opening is strong and sweet with a lovely blend of different roses but somehow it is not overwhelming, it doesn't give me a headache. I also get the popcorn-caramel note, which makes it really fun. I love getting little whips of it throughout the day! The longevity on me is very good, particularly if I spray it on clothes I can still smell it in the evening. The dry-down is a nice, soft vanilla-popcorn scent. Cozy, delicious, sweet - a current fave! 💕

Cjbean05

I received a small sample one day and decided to try it. It is amazing. It is sweet and flowery. Flirty, yet sensual. Bright and powerful. I have gotten so many compliments. I can’t wait to buy a big size!

ArlissLux

the contrast between nectar and OG idol is insane!
both sexy scents but give off different vibes.
OG idole is fresh, playful, summer-y.
idole nectar is sensual, intimate, mysterious.

now i want caramel popcorn LOL!

swedishmilk15

I couldn't smell the popcorn note until I directly compared this to Idole Aura and Idole L'intense. Now I definitely can!! I love all of my Idoles, but Idole Nectar is my favorite. It truly is addictive!

Lykopa

This is a very well done popcorn note! It pairs very well with the rose to create a pleasing gourmand floral that’s quite light and flirty. I definitely want a full size. It reminds me of a buttery “who is she” scent. So fun!

Jeresa545

This scent confuses me in a good way. The initial spray is like a juicy sweet rose, with a dusting of plain popcorn. As in it smells like popcorn you've popped at home yourself from kernels, but you haven't added any butter, salt, toppings etc. Just straight up plain, unflavored popcorn. I can't believe there is no fruit listed as it has a juicy quality to it? Not like a jammy rose, or a sweet rose or even a traditional rose scent, it literally smells like a juicy kind of fruit is hovering in the background and the rose is gently nestled into the fruit.
The plain popcorn scent fades after about 20 minutes, and then its a less juicy but still sweet rose scent in the dry down. I can't tell if it's a modern rose scent because I also get a dusty mothball kind of vibe from this?? Only the random juiciness is saving it from being too mature for my nose.
I get zero caramel or vanilla in this at all which I'm kind of sad about, but I don't hate this scent. Whatever is making it smell 'juicy' to me is working well. I've never been one for rose scents and only have Rose Gourmand in my collection (LOVE Rose Gourmand!), so I'm happy to also have this Idole Nectar to add to my collection.

lynnie131

@ceevee963 the Idole aura is amazing, also the intense. Try them! Cannot get enough of them.

Ceevee963

I’m still trying to figure this one out. The opening is very sour, almost bitter to my nose. It smells like drool/spit on my skin. Lasts for about 10-15 minutes and then the popcorn comes through. Even though I only sprayed a few times underneath my clothes, I could smell myself for a solid 6-8 hours. I would get whiffs throughout the day and still question whether I liked what I was smelling or not. At the end of the day, the saliva smell was back and it made me think there was some animalic musk going on. Glad I only purchased a travel size of this because I’m leaning more towards the do not enjoy category at the moment. Also felt it was more mature than I normally prefer.

PerfumeAdore♥️

This is rose with hints of caramel and vanilla. I don’t get popcorn which is fine with me. When you first spray it, I can get a hint of salt when searching for it.

I like this perfume, but it isn’t a hardcore love, yet. I am more of a fresh green rose lover. If you like a sweet rose, you won’t be disappointed by this. It has good longevity and is beautifully blended. This is a fairly safe rose for non rose lovers. The bottle…perfect!

autumnblue914

Got it as a gift. Gorgeous rose smell.

On my skin - I get no popcorn or caramel, maybe as the drydown progresses I suppose. At the start it's a strong rose and it stays like that for a while. Over time gradually becomes a bit sweeter, but the rose still stays as the main thing.

Maybe it's just my skin chemistry. But on clothing it's pretty much the same as that, but more sweet. Mostly just a rose bomb. Caramel-vanilla in drydown.

But then again, I am an untrained nose, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I think I can differentiate roses from caramel well enough though.

I love the rose blend personally. I'm not well-versed in rose perfumes so I don't know how generic this is. To me it just smells like pure roses and I like it.

Sanrio

The opening was very pretty, charming, mass appealing. Slightly fruity sweetened rose with a buttery quality. I didn't find too much in common with the original Idole, actually, which is perhaps why I enjoyed it so much.

The dry down revealed the same unpleasant, unisex soapiness I got from the OG Idole. There's something about it (in this flanker and the original) that almost reminds me of weed & incense. I don't like it.

Overall, this is probably a safe blind buy if you like the original and not if you don't.

habiba ahmed

i thought this will be sweet ..but no ...it'a a little bit sweet and salty ..the roses here are dominant and i don't get the popcorn or caramel in it at all..it's basically a floral scent

KylieBooFace

I got a little paper strip sample in the Ulta flyer. I rubbed it on my skin and was pleasantly surprised (I didn't like Idole Aura, and the original is just ok to me). In Nectar, I thought maybe there would be a fruit in there or something, as something reminded me a bit of Poison Girl EDP. It's soft, as a paper strip tends to be. Sweet, just a tiny bit powdery, a bit florally green, and all clean. Now looking at the notes, I can see there is Grasse rose (❤). Could this be the first popcorn fragrance I enjoy? We shall see. IRL I love caramel popcorn. Side note, the Idole bottles are to die for, especially with the AB/iridescent shine.

ETA: Tested the actual bottle in store. During the initial/mid phases, I am not crazy about it. I smell it and keep thinking 'I might as well wear Poison Girl." Something was a bit headachey for me but Idk if it was the day or the perfume. But the drydown is such a nice soft vanilla popcorn scent. I am very tempted. Like.

ETA 2: I can't get past the "bitey" parts of this fragrance. Someone even told me its lingering scent on my jacket was exacerbating a headache/stomachache. This will be a pass for me, sadly.

Dana79

I like the whole Idole line, but this one stands out and it's the only one I actually bought. The rose is wonderful and delicate but on me it lasts only a few minutes. After that I'm all covered in caramel-popcorn delight. Before I read the notes I did not recognise what the salty edge is - of course it's popcorn. I'm not sure yet how often I will reach for this, but I needed to have a bottle.

b.a.denney

What a lovely bottle. I love the iridescence on the bottle. I do wish it wasn't so tall and tippy, why not make the bottle shorter with more width? I also haven't had issues with the sprayer sticking, and I hope I don't.

A couple reviews below mine someone commented that it smells like fabric softener, and I wish I hadn't read that. That never occurred to me until I read that, now it seems to be how I interpret the scent. Exact same way I never smelled pickles in Ariana Grande's Thank You Next, then after I read that so many do, I too could smell it (luckily that note fades out for me).

I really don't get the popcorn note many can smell, nor do I get any caramel, but it is a sweet perfume. I do get a light rose scent, which is good because rose isn't a note I tend to love in perfumes. I prefer my rose smell from actual roses. I find this to be a very fresh floral scent. I'm wearing it in cold January, but I bet this will be great in spring and summer. It's like a juicy fresh floral.

Sugar Pie Gemini

It's so juicy.

Morgan45

I put this on at the store this weekend and wore it for the day to try it out. While it's definitely a very nice scent that I didn't mind smelling all day, it just reminded me of very pretty-smelling fabric softener. Pleasant for sure, but not what I'm going for with a perfume.

AlphaPhymale

A fun, unserious twist on a rose fragrance. As a rose note lover, I can appreciate the creativity of Nectar. I get plenty of caramel and popcorn throughout, so I wouldn’t suggest it to those who don’t like a nutty accord. Long lasting and excited to wear it in the warmer weather for brunch dates.

Dori002

It's a pretty, cheerful, crowd pleaser scent imo.

At the beginning it's very sweet and warm, you can definitely smell the caramel, vanilla and very modern, juicy, fresh roses in the background. When it dries down it becomes an almost soapy modern rose scent. I usually don't like roses, but in this perfume they are very pretty. I can't smell the popcorn note either. Maybe salted caramel in the beginning, but definitely not popcorn.

The sweetness of the scent isn't artificial or cotton candish (it's nothing like Pink Sugar or Angel). It has a warm vanilla-caramel sweetness in the beginning, which I find very cozy.
I wouldn't say it's gourmand. Yes, it's very sweet but it doesn't smell edible to me especially after the dry down.

The sillage of this perfume is exceptional yet not harsh or intrusive. Some perfumes with strong sillage gave me headches but this one is so intoxicating and airy that it was never a problem for me when I tried it on and it's long-lasting as well.

The package is practical and beautiful. To be honest this is one of the most beautiful package I have even seen. I have seen this perfume first at a shop and I was immediately drawn to it, I had to smell it.

This is not a complex scent, so if you are looking for something very unique, special and interesting this is not for you. It's pretty one dimensional: sweet roses and that's it. However, if you want a boujee, modern rose scent you will be more than pleased.

Miruna

Very sweet jammy rose and NO popcorn. Not a bad fragrance, but reading there was a popcorn note sort of set the bar high for me.
If you like very sweet roses, you will not be disappointed.

irlfireprincess

Smelled a citrusy, "perfume-y" rose for 2-2.5 hours, then a very very faint nuttiness, then nothing.

lemonsandroses

Sweet sweet sweet. When a perfume is this sweet it's hard for me to pick out notes. It's too sweet to register to me as a rose, or as popcorn, or as anything else. It reminds me of black opium and angel, both also very sweet. But this one is sweeter. Yup it's sweet, I guess that's all I have to say.

fabiola1272

It reminded me of two happy things after I sprayed it , roses and the state fair and roses and a sweet baking in the oven .. Rosie goes to the fair smelling sweet and fresh whilst the smells of caramels , sweets and buttered popcorn swirl in the air all around her ...
I will wear this confection any day of every season , although I don't know how it will do once our sticky humid southern summer hits us , I shall find out soon enough.
One squirt lasts about five hours or so , considerably longer if I apply at the nape of my neck .

cacemonster

Omg tried this today, so my review is based on one spray. Its absolutely lovely. I dont get the popkorn though. Opening i feel smell like original idole, and also a bit similar to mon paris for some weird reason. Not that it smell strawberry, not that i detect any strawberry in mon paris, lol. It settle as a lovely vanilla rose! A young sweet rose. I do get the caramel note but not too sweet or cloying, its just there to like round it off in such a warm pleasant way. Its sweet, and sooo sooo lovely, I will for sure grab a big bottle of this! Its not too strong, its quite perfect sillage for me, just leaving a nice trail but not suffocating other people in any way

Nil3

This smells like Idole + the popcorn and caramel note.
Spot on!

Edit: sillage and projection : EXCELLENT!
I woke up with a sweet popped caramelized rose 🌹 .

mychinarose

I wanted to get an Idole perfume but wasn't sure which one, however I remembered that the Nectar one has the popcorn note so I asked for that one for Christmas. This is quite sweet, so you have to be prepared for that. I was wondering if this one would be reminiscent at all of Miss Dior Cherie (the OG). Turns out, not quite. The caramel is prominent but not really the popcorn. BUT THEN. I happened to also acquire Wrapped in Vanilla body mist from Bath & Body Works, decided to layer it (along with a vanilla lotion from St. Barth's), and WOW! This became full-on rose caramel popcorn and it is swoon-worthy! Still, you have to be okay with the sweetness. May not wear this combo come hot weather!

i smell sweetness (caramel popcorn?) and rose. i don't know how to feel about this perfume. i need to smell it again. i guess it's not my taste.

notnamai

I got this perfume bc I smelled the tester and fell in love! when I got home and got the perfume it smelled different. idk if I just got a bad one? or what happened but it was almost nothing like the tester. the tester smelled like the normal Idole. now I went and checked the tester and it smells similar to what I had, just better, so I assume something was off with one I got.
i’m gonna say based on the tester:
the popcorn is interesting, not for everyone.
it takes away from the sweetness and has a twist, but i’m not sure I like it.
it’s not too much like fresh buttery popcorn, more like a little dry popcorn.
and caramel - where?
i’m not sure if I like it. it’s a bit.. meh.
the bottle is gorgeous tho, although it has all the Idole perfume bottle problems - too thin and uncomfy with the applicator that gets stuck.
long story short: consider getting the normal Idole instead

Does anyone remember that commercial for Mom Jeans on Saturday Night Live? The tagline was, "Because you're not a woman anymore... you're a MOM". Haha, well this perfume reminds me of that because for me- (as a mom) when I wear it, it does make me feel like the mom I try to be: warm, sweet, and comforting. BUT, as a woman... it also makes me feel warm, sweet, and comforting *but in a different way*. When I asked my husband to smell it and give me his opinion, he couldn't get his nose out of my neck haha! For me this frag can go from daytime to date night, and everywhere in between, no problem. Also, it's pleasantly sweet to me- not overly sweet.

aldinatic

the rose could cause a bit of an headache...

HellsBelle

So, after reading the reviews, I have to wonder how much Covid screwed with my brain - this is roses, vanilla, something green, and - grenadine.
In short, it smells exactly like a less sharp Ma Dame.

I don't even get any popcorn.

I always thought Ma Dame was a bit...yeah, sharp. Almost corrosive. Unrefined. I like it, but it sticks out. A lot.

This is Ma Dame, but softer. I quite like it!
I'm very curious how it will behave in summer, but I'll have to wait half a year to find out.

I had the fortune of winding up with several different Idôle samples, and I must admit that EDP Nectar is my least favorite of the bunch. The line in general is acceptable, and EDP Nectar is fine, but I admit I struggle to see what the fuss is about.

For me, the perfume opens with a marked sweetness and rose, alongside a bit of vanilla. The sweetness reads to me more as hard candy than caramel popcorn, and it feels like the vanilla is there to tug the perfume away from the concept of hard candy. Vanilla & hard candy are the wafts I get throughout the day.

The sharp sweetness backs off after a bit, leaving ambery vanilla, rose, and this unpleasant musty, bitter note that I imagine is also supposed to connote popcorn. To me it smells more like a movie theatre carpet than popcorn. I struggle to find any buttery or caramel notes that I see so much buzz about, though if I suspend my disbelief, I suppose one could call the overall vibe buttery. The effect is not quite gourmand, IMO. As I've said elsewhere, Idôle Aura is way more gourmand than EDP Nectar.

The rose sticks around, even emerges further, as the hours draw on, alongside the vanilla, which honestly feels noncommital at best. The rose is also a bit weak to me, almost a suggestion at times. Not plush, or jammy like the original Idôle, just sort of there.

All in all, performs moderately, lasts about five hours, and is fairly versatile by virtue of being vague. It's not terrible, but I guess I just don't get it.

Actually, I have one more observation on the subject of the vanilla here. The Lancôme website lists the note as "Bourbon Vanilla," which usually means vanilla beans from Madasgacar and the surrounding area. Then the description is "Discover an irresistible layer of sustainable Bourbon Vanilla. Idôle Eau de Parfum Nectar's Vanilla flower is carefully hand-picked within 24 hours of blooming, and is left to mature for 18 months to achieve a rich and exceptional vanilla scent."

Uh, so what is it, vanilla flowers or vanilla beans? I find this confusing, and I don't know what to make of it. I don't know that I believe all this marketing nonsense anyways, and would be just as willing to believe that it's all synthetic. After all, what difference does it make if it smells good?

emilydavi

Just got a 10ml of this and it's very nice - I know I'll use it up! I don't think I'll buy a full sized bottle though, as it's extremely similar to the original (on me,) and I have a 50ml of that. It's like idole but a bit sweeter and more powdery. I don't really get the popcorn note (though maybe I'll notice it with more wear.)

HeidiCar

Lo probé y es un aroma con base del Idole pero algo más dulcecito, es duradero, pero no me deslumbra

Roxylim

Want to love this so much as it's awesome and the hype is real!! However, I've tested it several times now and have to agree with TexasOrangeBlossom, this one triggers headaches for me too, danggit 😣 Was all set to buy a bigger bottle this weekend, but best I don't now. Xx

TexasOrangeBlossom

I’ve been testing this for a few days. I was gifted a large bottle, but didn’t want to open it until I gave it a proper test. It’s not working out. It’s a shame bc it is charming. Unfortunately, for me, it’s a headache trigger. I do like rose, but this may be too much rose for me. Plus, my nose detects peony and a touch of lilac. Both of those are notes I don’t get along with. Sadly, it just isn’t worth having a headache. Not much gives me a headache! I wouldn’t bother to review, but I felt I needed to share my headache experience.
Side note: I do think Nectar is a fitting name. It smells like my butterfly garden that is currently full of bees and butterflies that are drinking nectar.

ledavis727

As someone who normally takes a sharp turn away from perfumes with roses in it, I can’t believe that I now own a full size bottle of a perfume from this line. My SIL owns the original Idole, which on me is a pure rose bomb. This flanker, however, is such a well-blended mix of rose, vanilla and caramel that I can’t stop sniffing myself! The popcorn note on me really comes out after the perfume has had a chance to dry, warm and develop. It’s like a warm, rosy, sweet hug. I could see this working well across most seasons, dressed up or down. It’s not the most adventurous perfume, but it certainly hits the right buttons for me in terms of wearability, sweetness, and intrigue. This is a safe blind buy in my opinion, even for a rose-adverse person like me. The bottle is also gorgeous, which is a bonus. Just be careful with the cap, which seems like it would have a tendency to snap if carried in a purse!

Edit to add: I am now literally obsessed with this perfume. Something about it and how sweet and cosy it is just makes me want to wear it all day, every day. New signature has been found!

semperfii

I loved this in the store, bought a bottle, & it now gives me a headache… ):

SerenaLovesKanye

I love rose now. It's done. I've finally grown up, yes in 1981 my first perfume, as given to me by my gorgeous mother, was a small bottle of Chanel No.5 and I was 7. It was meant I think to train my nose and grow me up. It wasn't good to me but I kept smelling it because they told me this was beautiful. She and my father also trained me to stick my nose into oud, to appreciate it and love it.

The silage, projection and longevity of Idole Nectar is above average.

Now, I'm grown. I love rose. And this perfume is so luxe and what I thought I didn't like before is now a love. I love the top notes, fresh full red rose in gorgeous air, freedom, love, beauty. And then comes in deep from the inside, a touch of creamy light caramel popcorn - it's there. It's light and only a thin layer of notes but I got it, whisps of candy salty sweet, a toffee corn in the middle notes. It's luxe and it's sweet and it's rose and to me this is as gorgeous as my 50 ml bottle. Thin and portable with a sheer iridescent sheen as beautiful as Zendaya - Great overall.

@spaghettibuns

Wait. You own 6 perfumes, three of which are generic Michael Kors's, two that everybody and all their cousins have owned and loved, which has led them to become quite boring, and possibly the most boring, people pleasing perfume Valentino has ever come out with. Which part of all of this, again, makes your "palate" not only the norm, but judging by your tone, a refined palate?

Not to mention the connotation you chose to put onto people who have pets or take medication, as if that somehow makes them lower creatures than you? Yes, those of us who like perfumes that you don't understand MUST be longtime smokers who live in an industrial grade chimney. It's where we found shelter when our parents kicked us out at 12 after finding out we were selling cocaine to preschoolers.

And this isn't even a soapy, heavy rose. If you don't like the smell of roses, just say that.

PlanetGrl

Idole Nectar+Demeter’s Caramel=Euphoric bliss. Initially only bought a purse spray, but this is love. It’s filled with such vibrant, confident, effervescent roses. To me, the popcorn is not what l was expecting; not buttered or caramel or flavored in anyway, but plain freshly popped corn. This scent always puts me in a better mood and dare I say helps me focus, and as a plus often gets compliments. Full bottle worthy for sure. For those of you who aren't picking up the caramel, I highly recommend layering w/ Demeter's or perhaps another single note caramel (except the one from Layered, which is actually an orange blossom). It simply intensifies the caramel note already present, and you realize you were able to smell it all along, it was just very subtle.

Fragranceliker

Very nice and unique! Bottle is gorg and whats inside is even better. Will have to get a Bottle for myself ;D

loveleen

Perfume is so personal. To one this may smell "old lady" but to another it smells like pure juicy fruity goodness. My first impression of this perfume was honestly...well I was blown away. In the opening, it's bursting with juicyness- perhaps the pear. Then it becomes a bit more like the original Idole. Then it dries down to a buttery caramelly vanilla scent that is absolutely to die for. I got a TON of compliments from men and women about this perfume.

No, it's not a niche perfume, you likely wont smell original. But I love it and it to me it smells heavenly and delicious and that's all that matters. I'd rather smell like buttery vanilla roses than coal tar and mink musk, but that's just me...

Joshhiggins32

Finally got around to buying this during a big sale. I find sprayed it in store once when it first came out and didn’t like it as much as the intense, but now that I’ve tried it and gotten used to it my mind has changed. This is a better version than intense to my nose. This is sweeter, a bit less of the rose, and not as in your face. I like both the intense and this but I find myself leaning towards this because it’s just a better blend to me and the performance is still beast mode. If you thought the internet was too much, try this. It’s still pretty strong but no where near the intense plus the rose is not as in your face in this one. This focuses more on the sweeter notes but you can still smell the idole dna.

Klmvid

I love this so much! It feels like a happy, sunny day. I like the original a lot too but it gets a bit annoying in the everlasting dry down. The l’intense is very different to me, much more mature, darker, sweeter and a bit cloying. This has the dna that I love from the og but the dry down is caramel and vanilla loveliness. Just perfect!

spraguelauren

This really reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on. I feel like it's Black Opium, but I don't have it on hand to compare and no one else has said that...so maybe not? Maybe viva la juicy?

It opens very warm-sweet, caramel popcorn. After a few minutes I smell powdery vanilla rose. But I would also describe it as "clean," if that doesn't contradict the rest of the description lol.

It's nice! Just doesn't blow me away

chicagogirl

Blind bought this and wow I'm super disappointed by this. It's extremely floral, rose-y and linear with a hint of vanilla. It smells almost identical to the original but maybe a touch warmer. I don't get caramel or popcorn notes at all. I would not categorize this as a gourmand at all despite it saying so on the box. It's a pleasant light spring-y rose scent though. I got it heavily discounted, Lancome was having a sale of 40% off their entire site a few days ago and I impulsively bought the .80 oz hehe. I'm glad I didn't pay full price!

AnlisaC

this one is very sweet vanilla rose scent. I always loved the OG and I own all the flankers so of course I wanted this in my collection. I really love this, it’s a bit different on me not as sharp as the OG a bit sweeter in the drydown I don’t smell any popcorn at all all I get is floral vanilla which to me is excellent. Longevity is awesome just like the other Idoles. Sillage is nice and can be noticed. I love all the Idole and it’s flankers. Highly recommended 9/10

I also get a green note on me, hmmm not sure where that comes from???

abigailbeth

Just a nice simple rose perfume. Nothing outstanding but quite delightful with the bottom layer of vanilla

cookygirl

This is not my cup of tea as I don't like sweet vanilla fragrances, and the only reason I tried this is that it literally fell into my lap in the form of a carded sample inserted into a magazine.
Being that this fragrance, with it's celebrated popcorn note, is all the rage here now, I figured I may as well see what the fuss is about, so I applied the sample. Sometimes there are surprises in life...
So, yeah, no surprise, it is pretty much what I expected, although I did like the rosy top notes.
The vanilla in the drydown is overwhelming though, especially in the scent bubble that this fragrance creates. When I actually smell my arm where I rubbed the sample I get more of the roses and possibly the caramel (can't detect any popcorn) and that smells much nicer to me. Problem is these notes don't project nearly as much as the vanilla.
So far I've tried the OG, Aura and now Nectar from this series.
The OG Idole was insipid to my taste. This nectar flanker at least has more presence than the OG.
I did somewhat like the Aura when I sampled it and need to revisit that one and I need to sample the Intense which I've sniffed from the bottle and quite liked. I'm partial to woody notes so that may be why.

ceeceelee

After letting this sit for a couple months the sweet popcorn note does develop. Unfortunately the rose is a generic one, had this went with a spicy rose it would be lovely. But it's not bad, just not a Miss Dior replacement. It's a solid 3 to 3.5 out of 5. Pleasant, work safe and, I think anyway, for a younger audience. I bought the very small 25 ml bottle, which is a pretty pink but it doesn't look anything like the iridescent one pictured here.

btheo138

No, this isn't a groundbreaking scent. It isn't niche, or unique. It won't transport you to the Italian coast, or your grandmother's garden. It will just make you smell pretty good. I'll be picking this up if I can find it at a good price.

frag_nostalgia

It smells exactly like when you walk in to Ulta. This is very praline forward and it has the same medicinal pink bubble gum amoxicillin accord that armani "my way" has, which I associate with a budget essence of tuberose. I'm honestly not getting any savory/smoky popcorn note at all. Before I looked it up on here I guessed it also has light patchouli. I do not understand why this is called "nectar" -- I associate nectar with stonefruit (peaches, plums, apricots), honey, mimosa flower, osmanthus. I'm guessing it's a money grab for diehard fans of the OG Idole (since it smells so similar to it) and those who don't have access to a wider array of fragrances. The drydown is definitely more tolerable than the way this starts. In the end it's a basic and cosmetic/department store smelling synthetic vanilla/rose scent. I give it props for being extremely potent, long lasting, and having an instantly recognizable DNA, though! The add campaign makes you want it so badly, but it is the ultimate deception. Received as a sample by mail out of curiosity. Will not purchase.

nativelocal

Like many others, I was massively intrigued by the notes on this. Unfortunately, I was let down as I don't get any caramel or popcorn from it. Just loud, perfume-y rose. Nothing gourmand at all to my disappointment.

girldeadbug

I finally received my sample of Idole Nectar and!!!

Meh, on my skin. This is what I think we all wanted OG Idole to be in the first place. And we wanted Nectar to be a true flourmand. Like eating kettle corn in a bath filled with rose petals. I detect ZERO caramel or popcorn. What a flop. This could have been such a success.

On initial spray the sweetness is at its strongest, a floral that I thought most people could get down with. It does dry down powdery though, and that sweetness ends up as nothing but a whisper. A touch sweet rose petal scent, it’s giving me upscale dryer sheet vibes. Barely discernible from the OG if smelled by the average passerby, perhaps even true fragheads wouldn’t be able to spot the difference if just walking by.

I compare now to Idole Intense as Intense smells like Downy Infusions Bliss (“sparkling amber and rose”) dryer sheets to me and I adore it as my clean skin, freshly washed clothes fragrance. Nectar is a lot weaker, barely any sweetness reaches out.

I say Intense is the winner in my book out of all the Idoles (I excluded Aura as I just didn’t like it and did not purchase, only smelled at Ulta). It’s woody, warm, a touch sweet, clean, strong and lasts…

But if you insist on having even the tiniest bit more of a sweet note, you might want to have Nectar as your Idole.

Hope this helps in anybody’s Idole journey. 🖤 This was just my experience so you may smell it differently!

mermaidylady

Received a small sample vial in the mail and immediately sprayed it on some paper. This stuff is strong! I'm wearing a different perfume on my skin today and the single spray of this on paper overpowers it. It's filled the air, so I imagine on skin the sillage is huge.

Smells a lot like the Intense version to my nose. Heavy rose and vanilla. I can't pick out the caramel popcorn but maybe it needs to be worn on the skin. Will update when I take this for a true test run.

moonstheword

I wanted to love this. I just like it. You get a strong caramel popcorn at first spray but about 15-30 minutes later you’re left with a vanillas rose scent. I’ll keep it and wear it, but I’m not reaching for it as much as I thought I would once I first heard about these notes.

Spencemonster

A creamy vanilla rose. I don’t hate it. On first spray at the VERY start I get the caramel popcorn note. Then. It’s just a soft Madagascar vanilla version of Idole. Honestly. We don’t need it. I. Also. Don’t need it as I have Idole intense and ADORE that and if I want an Idole. That is the Idole I go with. I also love Aura which is a salty aquatic floral Idole. The only other vanilla I like of Idole is also aura. This. Isn’t bad! But. Isn’t needed. Had I not stumbled upon Aura. I’d of maybe. Maybe. Kept Nectar.

GiulianaC

Fresh, young rose with sweet caramel and a slightly salty warm popcorn. It's well rounded and balanced, yummy but not obnoxiously edible or anything like that. The color of the juice is to die for (I was sent a sample by Lancôme) and overall I was into the fragrance at first spray. It stays linear but the longevity and sillage are quite disappointing, especially for the price. It just didn't last enough and I had to sniff myself real close to be able to enjoy it, which made me feel like I wasn't wearing anything. I was disappointed in that, to say the least.

I usually really dislike rose but this made me finally fall in love with this note (when done right). Won't be getting a full bottle anytime soon though.

Hunnynpink

Someone complimented me the other day saying I smelled summery. Bright sweet sexy. To me this is fruity floral and slightly musky on my skin. Well blended, I cant identify individual notes other than rose.

jadesfragrances

was really looking forward to trying this but it’s not all i’d hoped :(
i really love the idôle line, my favourite being aura, which has quickly become one of my favourite fragrances altogether. aura leans slightly more gourmand than the rest of the line, with its vanilla/salt combo, and since i love that about it, i was pretty sure i’d love nectar too because of the popcorn and caramel notes.
don’t get me wrong, i don’t dislike it - i think i may have hyped it up too much in my head. i think i’ve learned i’m not into popcorn notes after having mixed feelings about both this and pure xs (not saying they’re similar overall but they do share that popcorn note). the rose notes are all still very pretty and play pretty much the same as in the OG idôle, intense and aura. it does have a generic soapy kind of scent towards the dry down which is a bit… meh.
much like the others, i’d class it as more of a spring/summer fragrance, but the caramel in this would work nicely for fall too.

Gummybear002

Just underwhelming. They take the original and make it a teenage generic fragrance. The vanilla is overtaking the rest and it isn't an improvement of rhe original. Not bad or distasteful, but not worth the cash

beatrix75

Ohh its good strong sweet beautiful fragrance. I didn't liked the original, but Nectar it's perfectly 👌 made caramel popcorn vanilla 😋 nyammi

Katywood

I like to assign feelings/places/asthetics to fragrances and it took me longer than normal to find one for Nectar, it's definetly a Barbie girl with ADHD (affectionately.) This fragrance is hyper in the kind of way that gets a little bit of everything. The popcorn shows up late, but it gives a fun twist. It for sure skews younger. And it's nice enough, but it's not right for me.

blackcat02

So delicious! This is so similar to the og idole that i’m having a hard time rationalizing having both. This is slightly less rosy and obviously sweeter. I don’t really detect the popcorn note though. If you’re wanting a perfume that has a standout popcorn smell, I would suggest Pure XS by Paco Rabanne. This is lovely and I can still smell it on my wrists 8+ hours after first applying. I think I might even prefer this to the original.

hi_theclaire

I love rose, and I love the opening, so much, until the point I think I'll buy a bottle, but 1 hour later, it turns too sweet and too sticky on me. I don't know is it the popcorn or other notes but something repulses me from this perfume! Too bad, because the opening smells so good, like a floral expensive shampoo.

AquaJima

There is something sticky to this. I think the mix of caramel and roses comes across a bit weird for my taste. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t purchase this, but if somebody gave it to me I would use up the bottle. Is a good, pleasant perfume. Great for the office or running errands. But ultimately, one of those releases everyone will forget about in 1 year or 2.

gnathaliegh

I think by now we all know that this is not the popcorn heavy/ Miss Dior Chérie-esque fragrance we all hoped for when it was announced. However, this is a beautiful modern sweet rose scent. Rose and vanilla definitely dominate this perfume with a hint of caramel in the background. The notes blend together beautifully, but the rose is much smoother than in the original. Definitely more floral than gourmand. I do love the original Idole and I've come to love the Nectar aswell. This is a perfect daytime scent for the upcoming fall although it would work in pretty much any season.

chillalot

This 👏🏾Is👏🏾So👏🏾Freaking 👏🏾Pretty. I wanted to love the idol line since it came out.. gorgeous bottles and my sis Zendaya as the face… but the og was so meh and blah truly disappointing… But babyyythis one here!!! Rosy fresh carmely ( made up word🤷🏾♀️) goodness… I catch whiffs of myself and ask what smells so good: ME!!!… this last 10 hrs on my skin and drawing many compliments… I had no idea the silage was so good until I wore it to work… I work behind a partial glass partition (stop with the dirty thoughts🤦🏾♀️)
…and multiple people commented that I smelled so good…. Definitely gives warm yummy fresh not quite gourmand vibes.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

karinatfragrantica

Warm, pleasant, sweet rose fragrance with a quite young and contemporary vibe. Not bad for what it is.
If you are looking for something bold, outstanding or original you are definitely wrong here.

Liv26

Smell on skin was very different 30 mins after spraying. Initially I didn’t like it at all but as it dried I started to love it and was about to buy some when I realised why I like it….reminds me of Armani Si which I already have a bottle of! I only get a faint rose smell.
This is more of an evening perfume

plasticfreckles

I got a sample of this just this morning and I'm in LOVE. I love the smell of rose, but find most rose notes in perfumes too powdery or overwhelming but the rose notes in this are SO fresh. Somewhere between rosewater and freshly cut roses! Don't be alarmed if you spritz this on and only smell rose for the first 20 minutes- The popcorn isn't as strong as I'd like, the sillage on that note in particular seems awfully low but the caramel and vanilla definitely come out on the skin after some warm up time. The toasted notes from the popcorn and the caramel work super well with the fresh rose notes IMO. I think this is missing something that grounds it a bit more because the popcorn note is quite weak, something more toasted and warmer or nutty. I tried layering it with a peach bodyspray and found that definitely rounded out the scent a bit more too!

The rose notes definitely mellow out after around 2-3 hours- They don't go away entirely but smell almost more just like skin. After that, it's really mostly caramel and the toasted notes you smell in a surprisingly subtle way, not cloying at all. Overall very inoffensive unless you dislike rose notes!

TL;DR: If you love rose scents, you'll love this. Fresh herbacious rose, just a little powdery, toasted gourmand notes that I wish were a little stronger. Great layered with single-note fruit scents.

duckiescents

I don't write reviews often anymore, but I just had to for this one. I have been wearing this a few times a week for the last few weeks, and I really like this one, it's my favorite out of the Idole line, and this one should be the one that stays around if there are any plans for them to discontinue any of them. Nectar is what I wish the original was, it should have been. I feel like Nectar is crowd pleasing. You must enjoy rose to love this perfume. This perfume performs, and Lancome is known for that. This lasts over 10 hours on me, and if I spray late in the day, I wake up smelling it the next day, that's how good the lasting power is on this, a few sprays will do you good. I know some people are disappointed that they can't smell the popcorn or caramel more, or even as a main note, but it's not supposed to be like that, it's called Nectar for a reason, I smell these notes in the background, and I really appreciate what this fragrance is. If you are wanting a Miss Cherie dupe, I would suggest to pre order Soki London's perfume Empress that comes out at the end of 2022. If it were me, I would say this perfume would be known as a classic 30 to 40 years from now, it just has that vibe to it. I do think this could be a date night perfume, I actually think this one is good for both day and night.

genny17

I am on the fence with that one as it smells like roses , not your classic t’ose scent it is smooth and a bit sweet… I am tempted to give it to a friend , still hesitating but just too much rose for me , the dry down is so pleasant though
I wouldn’t call it generic but it isn’t exceptional either
None of the Idole have been my cup of tea really but they are nice .

moonsunstars

I find Nectar to be pretty similar to the original Idôle, which I would consider one of my favorite fragrances. The original has a very prominent musk note, while Nectar slightly dips its toes into floral gourmand territory. It's funny - this one takes on different aspects each time I smell it on my arm. Sometimes it just smells like the original, and other times I get a caramel drizzled bed of roses with a slight kettle corn vibe. Needless to say, as a fan of the Idole range I knew I was going to adore this. I feel like I will really be reaching for this around the time Fall starts.

ArtByLeia

they finally have this in my local douglas and I was pretty excited! But well,
The kids in front of me saw the display excitedly, like myself, and after smelling it, the girl went "Oh, that's... not so awesome", and the guy went "No... or actually, it's not that bad" which I think encapsulates the fragrance well lol. It's not super special, it is a bit of a generic rose scent, but I kinda still like it. I think if this was cheaper, it'd be a solid buy, but I do think it's overpriced for what you get.
Edit: Ended up buying the 25ml bottle but it's not holographic and I am legit bummed out lol.
Edit 2: Been using it for a few days and I low-key adore the fragrance now

rainydays

Upon application I liked this. Sweet smooth rose, warm and vibrant, not too sickly sweet for my region's current hot weather. In about 30 minutes the rose became really one dimensional and a little sharper and... Annoying. Drydown after awhile was a soft generic rose. No more caramel and never a hint of popcorn. This is being advertised as a neo-gourmand but to me it's not gourmand at all. It's a relatively safe floral. Not bad, not great.

amyaz

I went into this scent not remembering too much what the original Idole smells like (I don't think I was a big fan of it or else I wouldn't have gotten rid of my bottle).
I think it kind of reminds me of the Chloe perfume that comes in the pink bottle, about 30 minutes in and it starts to get a little sharper.
I feel like this is rounded just enough where I get that rose but it isn't crazy overpowering, but it is definitely a rose scent and the sweeter notes definitely take the back seat, but this wouldn't have been tolerable for me without them. I would say that it is a little more mature for sure, I don't think someone under 22 would appreciate this scent. Not sure if its one I'll keep.

daahlbom

I really love this one 😍 to me it’s a sweeter version of Aura. I can really smell the popcorn and the caramel, mixed well with the rose and vanilla. Just a lovely scent imo 🥰

Lahela

Is this perfume super unique and original? No. But... on me it's a super realistic, refreshing rose, a little spicy, a little ozonic. I don't get much of the caramel and popcorn! It lasts forever - if you're a rose lover, give it a try. It might be good for layering if you want it to be a little more complex.

sarage

Nectar without fruit? Hmm.. I don't like this one.
I do like the original Idole, but the sweet notes ruin this flanker. Nectar is juicy, fruity but not caramel-popcorn sweet. The dry down is almost sour and to me smells honestly bad.
(I have a problem with many other rose dominating perfumes, too.)

star~kitty

Smells like a skanky La Nuit Trésor. Jammy rose and whatever the skank is in Gaultier frags. I don’t get any popcorn at all.

ETA the skank disappears after an hour and it’s all LNT which - didn’t Lancôme discontinue it? I SEE YOU LANCÔME

Honestly this perfume is very lovely, the roses and nuances of popcorn and caramel really blend well together here. It's very addictive for me and it's the first perfume I love to take up to my nose and just sniff throughout the day. Only problem for me is that it really doesn't last on my skin, 3 hours at most, but even then it's just a skin scent. I've sampled the whole Idole line and this is definitely the most beautifully smelling flanker. I just wish longevity and silage were better!

Managed to sample this is Superdrug in the UK and I really, really like it.

As usual the majority of the comments are just complaining about it. But the difference is that I think its beautiful and totally wearable.

The main complaint is that its sweet and I would agree with that. it is sweet and also feels ozonic. Like smelling a really, good clear day in the sky.

Another thingies, which is a plus for me. Is that Its totally addictive, seductive, feminine and it lasts ages..And yes!! I can smell the popcorn, caramel and vanilla (go me) So I guess my skin loves it.

Would I buy it? Yes absolutely and im off to scour the Internet for a good deal on it.

Nothing groundbreaking. Very Lancome, super sweet roses - floral more than a gourmand. The edible notes are only there in theory, in practice there's no popcorn and vanilla only comes in a few hours in. I found it pretty nauseating, an odd release for the summertime (at least in the Northern hemisphere).

If I hadn’t seen the notes previously, judging by the scent alone I would have guessed them to be
Top: Rose, pear, popcorn
Heart: Rose
Base: Rose, vanilla.

I think the name is apt, as it’s like a rose nectar (or rose jam). I do get popcorn in the beginning (and I could swear there’s pear in there), but it’s like the rose and popcorn are sitting next to each other, not blended together.

I have tried OG Idôle, and it’s nice, but I’m not getting a fb, Idôle Aura I love with the inclusion of white florals and saltiness. I also find the vanilla comes through more in Aura. Idôle Nectar is not that bad, but so far I’m on the fence. I do find both silage and longevity to be great however.

This is way nicer than the original. Sweet, feminine, smooth and sensual. A bit powdery but modern and young. Something cheerful for summer. Not a safe blind buy.

First juicy nice bold scent. Then Beautiful realistic rose after an hour and this last for two hours - I sprayed it on a paperstrip in shop yesterday. Very loud, strong still can smell it. That little paper strip fills up the room here with a very good juicyvanillaflowery scent, but it is so loud! Dominating A little addicting because it is gourmand.

Kind of disappointing. Very boring weak rose, then after a couple minutes yeah sure u can smell a very weak hint of sugary nuts which is the popcorn but it's so weak, everything is weak, disappears in a couple min, has no longevity, no sillage, no projection, it'd be like buying water with a tiny bit of cologne in it which is already diluted and sure when you spray you can smell something but it's nothing. So boring, wow

fantomette

This reminds me a lot of Alien Goddess but also La nuit Trésor. It’s pretty good, but to my nose it’s more of a summery rose-coconut scent than a popcorn rose. It smells like a body lotion, or sunscreen :) The rose is pretty realistic though so I’ll give it that !
It’s fairly flat and one dimensional, it doesn’t really have any depth to it either.
I wish this was made into an actual body line, including a hair mist. Not worth it as a perfume imo !

I love everything sticky and sweet so I was excited to try this based on the notes .. I love sweet gourmand roses like Roses Vanille (my signature scent) However this is just plain rose with a tinge of something sweet. I cannot smell any hint of popcorn or caramel. Honestly smells like a bathroom freshener and has the longevity of one too.

I'm honestly disappointed about the missed opportunity to make this into a juicy peachy take on the original, because of the colour of the bottle and the name.

The perfume itself is in my opinion also quite a let down. It definitely doesn't match the exterior of the bottle, which alludes to a fun and exceptional type of scent - Idole Nectar is neither. It's a tamed, sweeter version of the original with less character, when it should have more.

laramharam

i def smell the popcorn in this. rose + popcorn

Mischa.ela

To my nose... it smells exactly like Idole Intense :/ Which is not a bad thing at all, I love Intense version! But... No popcorn, no caramel. Just a sweet rosey scent. I will give it another sniff!

brittanyandco

I picked this up from Macy's. My initial thoughts: smells like a sweeter, candy version of the original Idole, which leaned very fresh and sharp to me. I don't smell popcorn, just caramel/vanilla. Sweet, but not cloying.

If you're expecting another Miss Dior Cherie, you will be disappointed and you should check out Montale Rose Elixir instead.

I was so excited for this fragrance. I love Lancome as a house and I think Idole is a solid, crowd pleasing every day fragrance with good longevity and sillage. The Intense was a muskier and woodier take on the original. Aura was a bit weird in my opinion but a lot of people like it so Lancome clearly knew what they were doing with it. At least it was different. This flanker is just pointless to me. There is no sweetness that I can detect (what are people smelling when they liken it to La Belle???). If there are vanilla and popcorn notes in there then they are not discernable to my nose. It just smells like a much weaker version of the original. Idole EDT or even EDC. I don't know why you would buy it and have to cover yourself and your clothes with it to get any scent from it when you can get the original, spray a little bit and smell nice all day. I blind bought it because I was too impatient to wait for it to come out in the shops and test it. Don't make my mistake, you'll be disappointed especially if you already have Idole.
