Reminded me of Dove antiperspirant spray...smells like cotton blend.not worth it

Gamecocks1!

Love musk therapy! Y'all didn't list all the notes

olsen_noa

An easy and pleasant scent, a fresh musk with smooth sandalwood that makes me feel happy.
Goes perfectly with a white shirt, one of my favorite daytime scents in spring and summer.

SofiaAMZ123!

If it’s super hot day and you know you are going to sweat today, this is the best scent smells the best in this scenario.Your sweat and body heat will be like shower steam and heated body temperatures from the hot water, making this smells just like fresh cleaned shampoo or soap being projected right after shower. The hotter, the cleaner. That’s why I love it.

CCBAF

This is a super clean out of the shower type scent, I can definitely relate this to high end shampoo which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I get mostly white flowers and musk and a very subtle orange. Don’t see any guy wearing this over 30 but this could definitely be a very nice school or work scent for the everyday which wont offend anyone
Scent : 8/10
Price : 5/10
Longevity 8 hours ( intimate )
Sillage : 1 foot
Don’t recommend blind buying

Kinnyski

I smell Bal d Afrique smothered in musk. I wanted so much to love this but it started smelling like BO underarm on me. Will just use the bottle when I am at home or put it in the common powder room so house guests can just spray it on.

OTA Mom

A spa scent, first date, office/meeting/travel safe scent, clean and inoffensive, musk with citrus. There would be a place my line-up for a utility fragrance like this--if it were not so overpriced.

kabogera

I was interested in this one because I wanted something different; I usually reach for perfumes with minimal sillage and longevity, just because of the notes I tend to prefer.

This one was memorable to me when I was at the fragrance counter, but after a day of wear I understand why people in the reviews have called this one "annoying" LOL. I can't really describe why other than the fact it's just so linear, one dimensional and far far far from complex/layered. Now there's nothing really particularly awful about Musk Therapy, it's just that it leaves you wanting more from it-- especially at that price point. It's such a straightforward clean bougie hotel shower gel scent that I can't justify splurging on it. While I agree, I love fresh out the shower smell, it's just too forgettable. After a few hours it takes on a powdery fresh note on my skin. I can't even think of an occasion to use it bc its so generic.. Perhaps for the office or lunch date fragrance.

ridediker

bought this for myself but came roo feminine for my taste. gave it to ky gf and she loves it. just luxury clean smelling freshly showered women

Devin0715frags

This is my favorite from initio and is often overlooked compared to side effect, paragon and the oud line. I think it’s a great fresh, citrusy and musky scent. It’s nothing mind blowing but it gets the job done perfectly. Over the years the performance has been worsened after being bought out but, netherless a love.

Can't afford the OG but FW Intro Ivory Musk was one of my best buys this year. Clean and simple done really really well!!

cleanorthrifted

I had a sample of the original, loved it and considered buying it but found it too expensive… it smells clean, citrusy, fruity, unisex leaning feminine. I bought the Oil perfumery’s impression of it. I didn’t smell them side by side but if I remember correctly the dupe from OP is amazingly close. It lasts a long time and projects well. It’s also easy to carry around and reapply anyway. It’s funny that some people think Musk therapy smells a bit like bal d’Afrique because I layer it with OP’s impression of that one too :) they are not the same, but complement each other well.

thaochipnd

The scent is soft and clean like a thin mist covering the body. Sometimes I don't smell it clearly around me, but everyone smells it very clearly. Beautiful and pure, like the smell of a young woman's skin.

Rating: 7.5/10

vanillahoneyflavoured

Reminds me of yogurt black currant flavored cotton candy on my skin, the scent becomes more musky in dry down. It’s a really pleasant, calming, and inoffensive scent. It’s versatile, good for formal and informal occasions. The notes are well blended but I think that for the price it could’ve been more interesting.

moufbreather

a pleasant smelling musk with an undertone of citrus. 7/10

MarsOnEarth

This smells like Bal D'Afrique just with more musk and florals. Reminds me of doesn't mean it smells exactly like.

subtlyyours

i’m generally not a huge fan of musks, so im not sure why i thought this would be a love for me. It's a musky orange creamsicle flavored bar of original dove soap. I like it and the musk is far more wearable than any other musk dominant frags i’ve tried, but at the end of the day, it is still musk lol. Obvious i know, but i was fooled by the hype. Don't quote me on this cause it's been a hot minute since I've smelled it, but MM Bubble Bath is slightly reminiscent of Musk Therapy. The latter being a touch more complex, but I think if you are a a fan of one, the other is very safe blind buy.

Itcannotalwaysbenight

The dry down smells like used dryer sheets right after you take a load of laundry out. It’s actually quite comforting, and borderline soapy. Perfect reach to get you out of that “rotting-on-the-couch” mood.

synesthasia

Pleasant easy wear but essentially uninteresting and somewhat non descript. Wears more like a scented lotion than a 300 plus perfume. It has good longevity and apparently it does project but I become anosmic to it after 20 minutes. I did get a compliment from a random person at a store an hour after I sprayed it which surprised me as I couldn't smell anything myself. It's also very similar to other perfumes in the clean musk category and to my nose it bears some resemblance to Initio Paragon, like a very toned down version of it. I get a subtle plum note although it's not listed. In general, it's inoffensive, office safe and suitable for people who like to smell "nice" without overthinking it. I don't understand how anyone would pay the premium but hey, to each their own.

leaves.n.rain

The opening on paper is tart & citrusy with the musk. As it dries, you get less citrus, although still some, and the sandalwood comes through more. The sandalwood *almost* smells like pencil shavings, but not enough to bother me. The longer this sits, the more the florals interact with the musk and sandalwood, cutting down on that pencil shavings vibe and transforming into a beautiful and luxurious fragrance. Ultimately, this is a clean & complex freshie - the musk (of course) makes this skin-like, and the citrus & sandalwood elevate the fragrance to something exceptionally sophisticated. To me, this is easily an everyday/signature fragrance. I don't see this performing poorly in any environment or any season. I really like this one, BUT (and for me, this is a big but), it costs $370 and smells similar enough to Floating by Liis that I could never justify buying it. It is far more sophisticated and complex than Floating, but the vibe is the same for me. This is a beautiful your-skin-but-better fragrance, and if you want to smell expensive (but not super perfumey), this is a must. I just can't justify the price.

Mistah

Tart, Smooth, Clean, and Addictive, 10/10. This does lean feminine though.

Blossomlove

This really surprised me, my decant leaked out and it was hot out and the smell was amazing-I was really blown away since I’ve been smelling dozens of niche fragrances and rather underwhelmed. On my skin, it got even better and I’m a huge, huge fan of musk therapy. One of the strongest “light” musk fragrances I’ve ever smelled. Absolute Aphrodisiac disappeared on my skin after an hour but this bad boy PROJECTED. So, so strong, especially for this category. Granted I was wearing it in the 95• dry desert heat. WAYYYY better than Another 13. I barely smell that fragrance and my bottle is 1/4 down and I’ve worn it like 3 times. I have to realllllly overspray to get any scent payoff. Not this one, 2-3 spritz and I smelled it everywhere on me for hours. Longevity could be better but projection-oh, it’s there. Definitely FB worthy and will go in my top 10.

Nikanjavid

HEAVEN IN A BOTTLE !!
Very beautiful Clean and smooth citruses and musk combination.
Love to smell it on a woman!

BandNerdChic

As someone whose skin amplifies musks to the point where they are aggressively overpowering, the softness and freshness of this one is so nice!! The citrus adds a clean shower-freshness and the musks are light and comforting without being overly powdery or dusty, even on me! This is powerful enough to be perceived by others, but a soft enough type of scent that I feel like I could wear it in any setting. A surprising love!

StinkyButInaGoodWay

A fragrance that I instantly bought a bottle of after sampling it.

Musk Therapy is a suuper soothing clean musk, with a little bit of citrus at the top decorating the musk.

The scent has very good performance, easily lasting 6-8 hours.

robyynna37

A light, citrusy, musky fragrance. Wasn’t for me as it gave me a headache but I can see this being a nice, everyday fragrance for a lot of people. Very clean scent that’ll be great in the spring and summer

ReneaC

So I recently blind bought a full bottle of this. Well, not 100% blind buy because I smelled this in Bloomingdale’s but I only smelled it on the atomizer because their tester is empty so I didn’t had the chance to spray it on my skin.

I received it today and sprayed it on my skin and shirt I was underwhelmed by the initial spray it smells like almost alcohol “clean” then I did some errands after an hour or 2 the scent became stronger there’s more projection and silage then after 30 more minutes it hits the dry down. OMG, I LOVE THE DRY DOWN!! It reminds me of my favorite perfume, Gris Charnel by BDK. They have the same dry down on my skin but Musk Therapy is softer and creamier. I really enjoyed this one! Good for everyday scent, I’ll probably wear this on days I got tired of my other perfumes and my nose needs a reset.

Ajlis

This is THE perfect creamy white musk scent. I feel so clean wearing it. The scent is fruity, airy, powdery, and sweet. Be careful with how much you spritz though; this is a strong, long-lasting scent that collects comments from people around you and stays on your skin all day and on clothes for several days. In moderate amounts, Musk Therapy is a charming, bright perfume that melts into a gentle, musky skin scent. There’s something very relaxing and soothing about this fragrance – it's what an expensive, luxurious spa could smell like. Musk Therapy is perfect for days when I want to wear something clean and fresh, but musky and deep at the same time.

Kustomeyez

Often I will apply a fragrance 5 minutes before I shower , today I put couple direct sprays of bleu de channel Parfum not the edt or edp ,… the parfum applied to inner elbow crease , after my shower I went in for a test sniff and would swear that I applied Initio Musk Therapy 🤷🏼♂️. So yeah,… This reminds me of that✅

Marli1973

Strangely enough I quite like to smell like shampoo. If I can find a fragrance that gives me that out of the shower freshness for the whole day I don’t see any negative.
Musk therapy gives me that. It is quite good. It won’t offend anyone.

Khushi95

This is a very pretty and people pleasing perfume. Its perfect for spring n summer and lasts for a good amount of time. The sillage and projection is not huge but you can definitely smell it and people near you can smell it too. The musk here is so soft n likeable. Oh how I wish this perfume would last n project more as it so beautiful.
I do agree that it’s expensive and not a blind buy as it can turn sour on the skin. If you can find this on a discount then it’s worth the try.
Scent- 10/10
Longevity- 7/10
Projection- 4/10

Olenchyk

I knew I am going to love this one simply because my skin loves musk and I think it is mutual. It's the sexiest, most pleasant, easiest to wear note for me that I never get tired of and doesn't turn odd on me regardless of the temperature and season. I understand it may not work with everyone's skin chemistry
This is not meant to be a perfume that is noticed by anyone around you, it's very intimate and is probably meant for layering. I can imagine layering it with almost anything, but at the same time I am not lacking anything. for me it's like the second skin more than a perfume I wish to make a statement with
I tried it side by side (wrist by wrist? :)) with Genetic Bliss from 27 87, because it seems to have a similar concept - close to skin but very prominent musk, with some notes added just to swing it into some particular direction. Apart from musk, both have sandalwood but Musk Therapy added citrus and florals whereas Genetic Bliss adds more wood notes.
In MT, the mandarin and bergamot are there at the opening but then the musk is wrapped into soft florals and that's where it stays for a while - gentle and dreamy. in GB, the musk is very forward right away and the woody notes barely detectable. Just love both, love musk, both work for me
It's an unusual perfume and although I agree it's very inoffensive and pleasant (again, if musk works with your skin chemistry in the first place), I wouldn't recommend it as a "safe present" - there's barely any projection and it may seem strange (I can just imagine reactions like, what is it I am barely smelling, what's the point of this perfume)

autumnblue914

Opens up with a fresh musk that has fruity touches, then ends up becoming sour. That's it. A sour musk which is slightly sharp. I really expected more from this house given the hype, thank god for samples. It falls flat on its face completely.

I'm happy if you smell something different and enjoy it.

philly_dragonfly

It’s a very pretty unisex fragrance, perfect right now as spring weather is coming. I just think it’s priced too high for what you’re getting…a scent that blends into the background with other musky fruity florals. This is never going to be anyone’s signature scent for sure. It’s a truly inoffensive fragrance that can definitely be worn in a variety of settings without triggering anyone. And it would probably be a safe gift if you have that kind of money to spend.

ali_minaj

As a Guy I really love it but i realise that the smell becomes feminine after dry down (2 hours later) so sadly it's not that Unisex for me

inga.boo.7

Very similar to Ramon molvizar goldskin. Very musky with a fruitable base. Skin scent and doesn’t long lasting. I still like it, but it’s nothing special at all.

kerricj

amazing scent from initio, i usually stay away from initio as their scents come across to me as too mass appealing & uninteresting for their asking price but musk therapy sort of blew me away, what an exception!

initial blast will get you greeted with blackcurrant, abit of bergamot, mandarin and ALOT of musks. the musk accord in this fragrance comes across as fluffly, creamy, sweet and slightly slightly animalic. the musk is backed up with magnolia & sandalwood which give this fragrance such a creamy drydown! longevity & projection is pretty good but sillage is average, meh. i like to think of musk therapy as a mass appealing, sweet, friendly version of orto parisi's bergamask as they do share some similar qualities here & there but they're still two different fragrances at the end of the day haha. 9/10 👍🏻

sw1707

Amazing fresh, soft scent that is impossible to offend with.

Could work as an everyday/office scent or as an easy reach for almost any setting. I can see why people would say it leans feminine but to me (as a man) I would find this easy to wear and pull off as it just reminds me of fresh clean clothes.

Most of the fragrances I've tried from initio, I have found have the hedione too ramped up and come across almost medicinal and sickly, so Musk Therapy is a pleasant change from that, as it is very light, yet still present & lasting.

My favourite I've tried from the house - Overall 9/10 for me.

Tipsntrix

A more subdued version of the underrated Tom Ford Soleil Neige. Very well blended, mass appealing fragrance. Signature scent worthy

Kyer

Light, fluffy, soft, creamy and sweet.

Smells like whipped cream with something coconut resembling. It feels really natural and it’s one of those perfumes that don’t smell like you’re wearing perfume but rather a lotion or your natural scent.
Absolutely easy to wear, versatile and has an unexplainable allure to it.

It’s marked as feminine but I, as a male, think this is perfectly unisex. Anyone can wear it.

velvetpsychosis

Musk Therapy is a sweet, light, inoffensive clean musk, marketed as unisex but it leans feminine.
Suitable as a skin scent (no perfume-perfume) and very nice for summer bed time.
No depth or complexity here. This is not sexy, nor comforting, this is relaxing.
The price justifies the quality and execution but there is surely alternatives at a lower price point.
This is my least favorite of the hedonist collection.
I reviewed Rehab and Paragon that I find more interesting.

Gamecocks1!

Love it I love how initio blends their fragrance so smooth! Longevity is awesome 👌

MemphisJonea

This one is really lovely. Opens up with the citrus freshness then settles into a musky skin scent. I'd say it's easily unisex. My only problem is the performance - I sprayed the shit out of my sample and kept topping up but it doesn't really last, so for the price, I wouldn't buy it. If it was cheaper, I'd get it to use as a body spray or on my pillow.
Side note, I layered this with the Dimanche Flemme oil by Versatile Paris and they make a beautiful combination with their green + citrus top notes and their milky + musky base notes.

Shanty36

This is absolutely beautiful and so refined. It’s done so well, it’s blended so smoothly that it reminds me of something milky. Theres no laconic notes, it’s literally just from how smooth and fluffy and creamy the musk comes in. It’s a perfume you wear when you don’t want to be wearing “perfume”. It’s this slightly fruity, absolutely best musk I’ve ever smelled. Definitely a new signature scent for me and I have like 100 bottles of perfume. Top 5 easy and absolutely unisex with an ever so slight feminine lean from the fruity notes but I bet that lean would disappear on a man’s skin.

ShinningLightOfThunder

Gorgeous lightly citrusy musk!

Nanalvzpink

Musk therapy smells like an expensive lotion!
You do not have perfume on when wearing this. You simply took a shower with an imported soap from Italy and followed it with the expensive cream you only use when you are giving yourself TLC. That’s how people will perceive your aroma.

I love this!

As soon as I smelled it I thought of Guidance!
If Guidance by Amouage is just too strong for you but you still appreciate the notes… this is a fresher, sweeter and more wearable version of it.
They are not identical but there’s this distant resemblance. Testing them both side by side and honestly, this is going to kick Guidance out of my collection, this made me realize how pungent Guidance is. Wow!

Perfume-beginner

FLUFFY whipped cream cake with decent sweetness in it! I love it, it makes me want to eat myself!! It is just like dancing on clouds where you are enjoying your whipped cream cake. Lovely!

Monster longevity, I sprayed it at 11am and still can smell it the next day at 11am. That is crazy.

lmnsvgz

A fresh laundry scent that doesn't smell boring or overly soapy. It smells like the laundry at a beautiful Italian summer garden. Fruits and clean musk. I would love to jump in this laundry and stay there for hours.

If you like clean scents but don't want to smell like a Dove soap you have to try this <3

Filip bre

In one word HEAVEN. This is what I imagine heaven and angels smell like. Very very pleasant soft, fresh, and clean. Whenever I catch a sniff of this thing it makes me so relaxed that words can't explain, it really is like a therapy for your nose.

dinkleheit

This perfume is lovely! It feels nostalgic reminiscent of vintage teas or desserts (I think the blackcurrant gives it a tea-like quality). Despite differing opinions, I don't find it harsh at all or overly masculine. To my nose, it leans feminine and I don't think I would like this on a man.I will definitely reach for this when I want to feel clean, pretty, and not too harsh. It's suited for casual daytime and the soapy quality isn't overpowering. Unlike Chloe, which smells unpleasantly outdated to me, this perfume exudes a youthful aura.

My nose mostly detects floral, musky, fruity, and powdery notes. The combination of powdery and floral elements may remind some of soap or shampoo, but to me, it would be a very high-end salon shampoo. If there's a hint of citrus, it brings back memories of my grandmother sweetening grapefruit with sugar, making it less tart and sour, and more subtle and sweet.

GreatGreyOwl

A tiny bit of bergamot and blackcurrant suffocated with a plastic bag musk on their heads. The only achievement of Musk Therapy is that it manages to be harsh, unpleasant and boring at the same time. Don't know why it is voted to be feminine, because this is as masculine as musk can get.

Akesuts

For some reason, I believe if heavenly angels had a scent, this would be it. Almost as if it was designed by seraphims themselves. I cannot stop sniffing myself when I wear this. So comfy, trance inducing. Whomever wears it, be it man or woman, would seem like they descended from another world. The notes are in perfect balance. It feels like a soft yet tight hug from the person one loves most and I love love LOOOOVE it! I doesn't last as much as I would like it on my skin, but then again I wish it lasted forever. Do not mind bathing in it tho. Masterpiece.

jbozz

Tranquility in a bottle. Another banger from Initio but in a very calming and lowkey kind of way. If "Zen" has a smell it is without a doubt the smell of Initio's Musk Therapy. Damn I love this and the effect it has on me. This one doesn't remind me of shampoo or hair products as some reviews say. Maybe if there was a niche version of Dove bar soap, but either way this is such a beautiful clean and tranquil scent. It definitely feels like a sibling to Rehab and Paragon, as it carries a very similar vibe. I can't really think of what this reminds me of except maybe the aroma of a luxury spa. Talk about a mood enhancer and I can practically feel my heart rate slowing down after spraying this on myself. This is what I'd want to wear on a weekend wellness retreat and I can see it pulling compliments as well, but this is absolutely something you wear for yourself, after a stressful day at work, you come home, take a relaxing shower, and afterwards put on Musk Therapy to just help you unwind for the evening. Instant love for me and highly recommend for anyone seeking a scent simply for pure relaxation. I can already see myself wanting a backup of this and Paragon, so I better quit while I’m ahead and start selling what I can lol

Cinnaminominameenomomin

This is one of those fragrances where the name says it all. As soon as I smell it, I get these florals and citrus that make this really nice soapy smell that calms you down. I can definitley see this as a great Spring/Summer scent. Might be a bit tame for what the price is, but this is a really solid fragrance and smells amazing!

8.5/10

sajeda16102004

soapy clean

RottigrlNYC

I honestly don’t even remember why I bought this one. I find it to be one of the most boring musks ever. I think I’m adding this to the decants pile and sell it off in decants.

phpbb

This is a bit masculine musky citrus freshie for females lol.
But some men can definitely pull this off, especially when dressed up.

Gamecocks1!

Love this one so clean and creamy

Shaina87

Musk Therapy is a beautiful and elegant clean/musky fragrance. The initial spray smells a little sharp, but that starts calming down within a few seconds if touching my skin. Then it becomes the most stunningly fresh & clean musk and citrus meets feminine florals on my skin. It's a love for me. A daily easy reach/signature scent type of fragrance for me.

ForTheLoveOfFrag

I LOVE this fragrance. After debating for a while on buying a FB, I pulled the trigger. I'm a lover of musks and clean white florals, and this house. My next FB purchase will be Floraiku Cricket Song.

On my skin, I find this to be in the unisex feminine area of the spectrum. I also own a full bottle of MFK 724. That one is a bright, clean soapy scent with a LITTLE warmth way into the drydown. This one, this is the fluffy, cozy White Scent that doesn't fall flat, isn't sugary sweet, and doesn't feel synthetic.

Yin Transformation (more feminine) - Much more soapy, powdery and "perfume" fragrance than Musk Therapy. Performance is a bit fleeting and too soft. It's in a similar group, but doesn't remind me of MT.
Bal D'Afrique (more masculine)- Is a bit more green, a bit more woody than Musk Therapy but I can see where people draw similarities to this
Blanche - Not even in the same ballpark - It's a laundry room for the "doing the whites" days complete with starch and bleach. If I HAD to pick, Blanche is 724 mixed w/Chanel No 5
High Frequency - Has the Initio DNA and the musk and citrus in Musk Therapy is replaced with powdery/almondy scent

I also have Rehab and a decant of High Frequency (love) and they are absolutely worth every penny. The performance on each one is outstanding! They're not TF loud and obnoxious but not fleeting skin scents. You have to sample for yourself

victoriabarretta

I just received this and my initial thought was wow, this is very masculine. I am really shocked not more reviewers have leaned this more unisex. It is also very loud and strong which is not the best for a musk as they tend to get louder as you wear them. I sprayed 2 sprays and am generally a heavy sprayer.

I detect very little citrus, if any. To me, this smells like Teen magazine from the early 2000s. A papery smell and non-descript ‘perfume’ samples combined.

I will let this settle in and then update again! So far I am not impressed but it might just be because this is quite different than I anticipated.

I heard this compared to Signature by Mont Blanc but MB is MUCH more citrus forward and sweeter.

feuermaiden

Yeah I don’t like this one. I was hoping for something softer, sweeter, more rounded. But this is sharp citrus and florals with a bit of a chemical overhang to my nose. Gave my dog a sneezing fit after I sprayed it.

It totally smells clean, don’t get me wrong, but it’s *too* clean. Like… I’ve been sanitized. Like I’ve just dumped a box of powdered laundry detergent on my head. It’s soapy and powdery and too much so.

Up close I get more of the florals but if I’m just smelling it from a normal distance it smells like I’ve walked through a mist of Lysol.

Pass… 3/10

Supernova07

I was searching for some clean, fresh fragrances to round out my collection when I happened upon Initio's Musk Therapy (MT). I fell in love with its lush, citrusy opening with hints of florals that dried into a more soft clean, fresh fragrance. While it shares an aesthetic with other "clean girl" fragrances, those other fragrances lean into and/or stay true to their linear soap-like vibes, whereas MT is a tapestry of well-balanced notes that work anytime, anywhere. @JosephFragrance has captured this fragrance brilliantly!

What I can add is that I've worn MT to dinner dates, work, soccer games, bed and the gym. It always feels perfect no matter where I am. The same cannot be said of most other "clean girl" scents. Although the sillage is slightly more intimate, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it has decent longevity. So, despite the price, I've decided to add this beauty to my collection for moments when I crave a mindfulness meditation in a bottle.

Flared Maple

This smells like BYREDO Blanche and Mojave Gohst layered together...
I have both these fragrances and after a couple of minutes of wearing Musk Therapy, after the initial citrus blast, that is what I smelled.
Not bad. Actually pretty good, but also not what I was expecting from a niche musk. I was hoping for something a little more exciting or interesting.
There are good, interesting niche musk fragrances out there, so I know its possible. I think Fugazzi Angel Dust is a good example. Also Mojave Gohst and Blanche are great by themselves.

Hvid Gut

This is what i imagine an angel smells like.

Soft, fresh, sweet, powery and lightly floral.

Smells like you are next to an angel, watching deers jumping in a vally of flowers.

The perfect self-care perfume for when you are having a bad day and need some comfort.

On me it lasts about 8 hours, with a mid to strong sillage.

It is for me a 10/10 perfume.

Huele a limpio, un perfume para utilizarlo en cualquier ocasion y sentir como su nombre lo dice una terapia , mejora el estado de animo transmite paz y tranquilidad ..... uno de los mejores de mi coleccion

Discover special scents

A large, white pillow to fall into and forget. The first notes are fresh, citrusy, with a hint of greenery. At the same time, they are warm, intimate, subtly but temptingly sweet. Reminiscent of Myrica gale. Persistent. Makes you want to sniff and sniff. There is no synthetic in this aroma, it is genuine. Perfect for moments of relaxation.

Scooty77

Not ground breaking, but a nice, clean smelling scent suitable for niche lovers who want to be office safe.

Fragriminator

I feel that this smells nice, but for me not worth the price. It seems more like how a high-end lotion or hair product might smell. I get some baby powder or baby wipes as well (not in a bad way). A faint, nondescript citrus winds its way through thr background. I think it leans feminine. It's a round fragrance with decent body. It sits relatively close to my skin and can be detected nose-to-skin for many hours.

Guardian2471

A decent slightly fruity and slightly sweet musky fragrance. The scent is a 7/10 and this is not a fragrance that I would recommend checking out.

You know how you add a pinch of sugar or baking soda to mute down the sourness while making a Greek salad, it's still sour but now your mouth will not pucker? Musk Therapy must have been composed the same way: It's clean but not shampoo/detergent /air freshener-clean; it's sparkling-clean but with an edge, balanced-out perfectly.

Manda88

I can’t add much that hasn’t already been said. This smells cozy, clean, rich and sophisticated. I don’t have any other musk that smells like this one, it is unique. For an Initio fragrance, it isn’t as long lasting or beast mode as the others, but what citrus-musk is? I adore this fragrance.

Arieeane

Imagine a deep dark warm smooth almost creamy enveloping musk with a very sophisticated deep autumn gritty orange note overtop. Smells luxurious.

Edit: it’s December now, I reach for this a lot. I think it’s really great.

Gamecocks1!

I love this fragrance

Heavenly Heather

I’ve been curious about this fragrance for sometime and finally got my hands on a bottle, it did not disappoint! Musk Therapy is such a gorgeous fragrance. To my nose it exudes clean girl aesthetic. The citrus and black currant blend with the musk so beautifully and harmoniously. I can easily see this as being a signature scent for many. Although this probably shines the most during spring and summer months.

Gamecocks1!

I can't wait my bottle will be here Saturday. I have been sampling this for about a week now and I fell in love so good 👍

sabsizzle

I like the smell of this, however it just isnt a scent for me. I definitely smell the citrus- it lingers and hovers over the musk notes underneath. I actually think this smells VERY close to Byredo Pulp- However Pulp is more citrus (in a very sharp, invasive to the nose kind of way) and no musk, but the citrus notes smell identical. The projection is good and it lasts a long time and the scent doesn't change too much on my skin.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Initio's "Musk Therapy," and I must say it's nothing short of divine. This fragrance is a harmonious symphony of olfactory delights, a true masterpiece that transcends the ordinary.

The opening is a burst of citrus that immediately uplifts the senses, like the first rays of sunshine on a crisp morning. It's invigorating and sets the stage for the olfactory journey that follows. As the citrus notes gracefully dance, the musky accord emerges, enveloping you in a sensuous embrace. The musk is warm, inviting, and possesses an ethereal quality that is simply captivating.

The floral and fruity notes delicately interweave, adding layers of complexity and a touch of sweetness that is both sophisticated and playful. Just when you think you've unraveled its secrets, a powdery softness emerges, creating an irresistible allure. It's as if you've stepped into a field of blooming flowers, the air filled with a gentle powdery breeze.

The woody undertones provide a solid foundation, grounding the fragrance with a subtle strength. The green and fresh spicy accords contribute a vibrant and lively character, making Musk Therapy a fragrance that feels alive on the skin. The aromatic and animalic notes add a mysterious and alluring depth that keeps you coming back for more.

What sets Musk Therapy apart is its impeccable balance. Each note plays a crucial role, contributing to an overall composition that is greater than the sum of its parts. The longevity is impressive, allowing the fragrance to evolve gracefully over time.

In a world filled with scents, Musk Therapy by Initio stands out as a true gem. It's a heavenly experience that transcends mere fragrance; it's an olfactory journey, a story told in notes that unfold like chapters in a book. If you're seeking a fragrance that is both enchanting and comforting, Musk Therapy is the answer. Prepare to be captivated, as this scent is nothing short of heavenly.

Mmmmmusk therapy. I drool a bit for this one. So very balanced it’s hard to pick out notes. I think it really stands out amongst “white” perfumes. Very clean but not too soapy. Just enough creaminess to give it some soul but still a fluffy ethereal vibe. Citruses peak in and out adding a happy zest. Significant presence but not overwhelming at all. If you have the ability to $POiL yourself with this, it’s a special “your skin but better” scent. Chefs kiss!

Ps going strong after a few hours and the dry down has a slightly tart note. A little salty and sour, but in a good way! Elevated scent for sure. I will say the base of this is similar to clean reserve “skin” if you want a more budget friendly option. Also, Montblanc Signature is of the same vibe, but sweeter/more powdery.

chri5tin3

This is THE white scent. I am in musk heaven! I tested this an hour ago in store and I can't stop sniffing myself. This stuff has to have crack in it because it is so damn addictive.

This scent is just angelic. I smell like cupid's farts if farts smelled like musk and fresh linen sheets. I've never smelt something so clean and pretty before. I WILL be saving up for this beauty.

UPDATE

I'm truly flabbergasted by the performance on this thing because in the right weather, it projects throughout the room and it lasts (very faintly) until the next morning... INSANE longevity for a clean fragrance.

Why are fabric softeners called fragrances these days?

Mohammd.Alneyadi

great perfume it could be used all year around citrusy musky clean.

JustAsh

Love. At. First. Sniff.

I love a good clean, musky scent but for me, it’s always something with musk notes. Narcisco Rodriguez Pure Musk is pretty, but the musk is too sharp and headache inducing. Clean Reserve Skin is a staple in my collection but it doesn’t project at all on my skin (hence the name, I guess). Musk Therapy is PERFECT. It opens fresh and soapy, citrusy, very bright and has some sweetness to it and it dries down creamy, dreamy, soft and cozy with a touch of powder. The musk stays throughout from beginning to end. Musk Therapy is the only name this could have. It’s soothing, calming, airy, uplifting, relaxing and spa like. I know most voted this for spring and summer wear but this can easily be a year round signature scent for those that enjoy this DNA. It’s 45 degrees right now and it surprisingly cut through the cold and wind. For such an airy, light scent…it projects pretty well and leaves a beautiful trail. It lasted about 5-6 hours on skin before it started to fade but I could still smell it throughout the night and faintly into the next morning. It lasted even longer on clothes. There is something in this that is so addictive and enticing…I can’t stop smelling whatever it’s on. I don’t see anyone that likes clean fragrances not loving this as soon as they get their nose on it.

My only problem…Initio has lost their freaking minds with the price. There are a few fragrances in this house that I feel could possibly be worth the full price but this is absolutely not one of them. The price should be cut in half at minimum. As soon as I can find it at that price point or cheaper, this beauty will have a forever home in my collection.

SillageClouds

This smells to me like the feminine version of V&R Spicebomb. Its addictive, clean, and spicy. 10/10

SandyToess

If you haven't smelled any of the similar perfumes mentioned, you can most likely test Rihanna Crush at a drugstore. Not saying they are that similar but to me it's similar scent profile - a bit weird combo of strong citruses with musk and some berries thrown in. Just to give you a slight idea of the scent vibe. I just ordered Infini Musk which I hope will be the best dupe for this.
Mont Blanc is even closer than Crush but hard to find a tester at shops.

Edit: Ok so I got the Infini Musk and this one is even closer to Crush than to MT. I'm just not a fan of this scent profile in total, which is a shame bc I quite enjoyed the real thing MT but all these dupes are taking it to a diff direction that I don't like. So I'm selling both - Crush and Infini Musk (I also had and sold Signature by MB). The combination of creamy musk and citruses is just not for me.

scenchanting

Sweet, soft and lovely maybe that's how I can describe this fragrance, this longevity so very crazy lasting on me ^^ 12/10

YusufYurek

Like astral exclusive GALADRIEL. İts very excellent

marenose

Purchased a tester. To my nose if you like powdery & soapy notes, this is how it ended on my skin. Too much so for my personal taste however.

cdcs

So very clean. But not “cleaning agents” clean, moisturized skin fresh out of the shower, wearing just washed and dried clothes, with the hair still smelling like shampoo clean. I’m surprised most people associate this with femininity because my first thought when I sprayed this on was how amazing it would smell on a guy (and without a doubt, how bonkers it would make me). Don’t get me wrong, it still smells great on women, myself included (though it’s not my style and I’m not planning on buying a bottle for myself), but on a guy? This stuff would be out of the world great. The longevity isn’t amazing, nor is the projection. This smells like clean sheets and lying in bed with your loved one, fresh out of the shower. It feels secure, safe, comfortable. It has a slight sweetness but only enough to make the scent a bit enticing, not overly seductive or anything. I guess what makes me read this as more suited to masculinity is the green, aromatic facet of this, which rarely get across as feminine on my skin (thanks to my chemistry highlighting those notes tremendously)
All in all, guys please try this scent!!! Smells like a loving, trusting, stable relationship with a supportive, honest, loyal, husband material guy!
Btw this reads as smack dab in the middle of unissex to me, I just would prefer it on a guy rather than myself.

mistrall

This smells quite similar to Bal d’Afrique to me. I don’t see much similarity to Montblanc Signature. It’s a beautiful, refined soft musk fragrance.

Titiana

This collection is remarkable. Rehab is one of my favorites on a man. And this one also stole my heart. Every time I get out of shower, I want to spray it on. Musk Therapy lasts all day and gives an impression of cleanliness, a fresh spread lotion after washing your body. And it’s so mass appealing!
The projection could be better after 2 hours, but this scent is mostly for self appreciation. It makes you, the wearer, feel calm and clean. On clothes it lasts forever. And in the close environment, it’s always welcome.

The base of white collection from Initio is a love for me. Although I think, it’s better to choose a favorite out of them, before buying it all, it could feel a little redundant to have all 3

(for reference, I live in the tropics, so this may be different in cooler weather)
I had to try this, being a musk lover. Unfortunately, not sure there's much musk here. At least in warmer, very humid weather, this is VERY sweet and essentially forms a black currant-dominant, tart, sweet perfume. Nothing about this screams "musk" to me - only in the drydown, if I squint, can I *imagine* the musk. I have SO many musk perfumes but I'm not sure if I'm missing something here.......... It's "musky" in the same way Signature by MontBlanc is musky (ie, not really, it's sweet tart fruits).
That being said, this has impressive longevity on clothes - I sprayed it on my CHEST, wore a shirt over it while the sprays were still drying off (nothing sprayed on the shirt), and I could still smell this two days later. Average longevity on skin.

Scent: Not for me personally. 3/10, but not a *bad* scent.
Longevity: Impressive - days on clothes, moderate on skin
Projection: Moderate

PixieKiwi

I tried this on in store and walked off. Smelled pleasant and then i became anosmic to it and forgot about it. Later on, I went outside and the cooler air blew the lovliest musky scent accents my way. I assumed it was the lady in front of me but she walked away and the scent remained. It was coming from me.

The scent is very milky and creamy. I think it is better suited to cooler weather as it can become quite cloying if sprayed more than twice.

The opening is beautiful and musky. The dry down is a bit of a mystery.

The only downside is the price but i went and bought a full bottle anyway

ValentinaRossi

To my nose, the powderiness of the sandalwood here is similar to that of Nishane Nanshe. The difference between this and Nanshe is, this one has extra citrusy notes with the powderiness.

Eva Simone

Lovely, sexy, soft but still statement making - she is a classy and sexy woman. I have to preface my review by saying I don't think I am usually a fan of musk as a dominant note in perfumes. Having become a big fan of the Initio fragrance house, I ordered a sample. This is my 4th Initio fragrance, and I was not disappointed. To be honest, it was really hard for me to pick out the separate notes, it is so well blended. I love the opening notes and the dry down. If I wanted a signature scent...this could be my everyday scent. It has fantastic lasting power, and great sillage. The first time I wore it, I received several compliments from friends and a stranger. The bottle is pretty and had nice weight to it. The only negative...is the price, as with all the Initio fragrances the price is just outrageous. I will buy a full bottle, but it will have to be on sale...and on sale on sale...at least 100 dollars less than full price. Love everything but the price.

Patr70

I read two reviews that say they don't get any musk? Well.. musk is almost All I get from this fragrance and It's called "Musk Therapy". To me, it's just too musky, and smells a bit like "Irish Spring" bar soap.. which is a cheap, overly scented bar soap, from the 1980s/1990s. Although, it is well blended and has an alluring/intoxicating body to the scent. I just prefer other Initio fragrances over this one. 7/10

taurusenergy

It didn't wow me initially, but it's kind of addicting and I inexplicably keep coming back to it. It's a way to have a more interesting scent experience while wearing an inoffensive "office" scent. I appreciate it for that. It's smells calm and clean, like the perfume equivalent of a blank sheet of paper.

Smeraldina77

What a disappointment! I was so curious because of all the hype around it and I tried it in store, on skin, but on me it smells so faint and boring. I think it has some kind of potential, but I can barely smell it.... Not worth the price at all

Ailee

if you cant tolerate White Musk from the Body Shop, dont buy this one.

edward1119

Its compsition is so simple yet bleneded so well.
Whenever my status or mood needs sth to cheer it up, it is always here be my friend.
Addicted to it.

valentina.marini

super pretty freshie with an unmistakeable Parfum de Marly feminine dna! you will like it if you enjoy Pure Musk for her by NR (this is better on skin) and Soleil Neige by TF. Musk isn't detectable, as the citruses win the scene over or because it's so well blended. Love it!

EosKaiAstraea

Soapy clean, with light sweet florals. Made me wonder why they called it musk therapy. I deduced it to potentially being because it's a musk based fragrance (something traditionally considered "dirty/animalic") but it actually smells extremely clean (soaping down and cleaning your mind with musk). Bright, with a little zesty effervescence as well as some powdery touches. The combination of their choice of bergamot and musks is simply addictive. That hedione is definitely in there, this is overall very pleasant and uplifting.

Advantageously fem leaning (some of my favorite kinds of fragrances) for the masc types. This will soften how people perceive you and put whatever sex appeal you do or don't have under the spotlight. I mean this in a good way because I really enjoy this fragrance, but it smells like the highest end laundry detergent or bar soap money could buy, like if there was somehow "organic" detergent, it would be this. If Rosendo Mateu no 5 was too "rubbery" or even too masc for you, this is its sweet, fem leaning slightly citrusy and quite aromatic cousin. They don't smell very similar at all outside of the musks tbh, but they both hit a similar button overall which is very interesting.

You have to understand the full spectrum of fragrance experience to really be able to appreciate this (if you haven't smelled anything like it before, which I haven't besides rosendo mateu no 5). Yes it is "light" but it has quite good sillage. The lightness is necessary for the intimacy and nuance of the fragrance blend to translate properly. This isn't one you can just overspray for better performance, you can definitely overdo it. This is made to swim in the air and hook noses in, not fill the local area up with fragrance. The notes themselves are too "delicate" and pretty to compete against a lot of other scents, but you will certainly find this creation threading the needle in the spaces between, and quite notably so. I honestly wouldn't want this any louder, the hedione effect would get annoying quickly. When worn properly, this juice is a real treat to enjoy.

I understand "I'm paying x dollars and I want performance" but guess who doesn't care about all that? Initio and their actual clientele. Do you think the rich, opulent folk the brand is hoping to represent want everything they own to be beast mode? No, they want a gorgeous scent profile.

They don't care about price per ml, hell they don't even care how many ml a bottle comes with, just give them the damn bottle so they can smell rich. People that complain about performance per price throw up immediate red flags when they do that imo. You're expecting Sauvage out of something that's not made to be accessible to you. Let's really be real here, do you think those folk that actually have the money to spend wanna want everything they own to be beastmode? Or even to be something commoners are already on top of? Almost every single fragrance you've tried that had a great scent profile but terrible performance almost certainly has a dedicated following of retail buyers and folk that swear by it. The chance of a fragrance youtuber, or any regular sniffy joe at all giving total props to something those folk genuinely wear is much slimmer (though still very good chance) than you might think.

I'm not saying anything's right or wrong, but we enjoy these fragrances in large part because of the perception and branding behind them. These brands wouldn't be what they are or hold the weight they do if they didn't place that intention behind the brand identity. Some things aren't accessible to you by design. A layer of that design being performance. No quicker or easier way to make sure people below 6 figures stay away from your product. Once you can understand this grand concept, you'll have a much more pleasant time with your fragrance journey.

Day one "review" after receiving 10ml

lmnsvgz

It smells like a lighter version of something from Tiziana Terenzi. Lightly fruity and musky.

ina.rem

Like a cloud

The fragrance has a light, airy quality that makes you feel as though you're going in a fluffy white cloud .It is well-balanced composition. The scent is neither overpowering nor too subtle, suitable everywhere.
The only drawback is its longevity. Sadly, the scent tends to fade rather quickly, lasting only about two hours on my skin. I found myself wanting to reapply it more frequently throughout the day.

cgaleb

Initio is a house that continuously impresses me. I have a sample of this and based on the name alone, without looking up notes, I was not expecting something so bright and summery and happy, as this is. The citrus notes are so well done and stick around until long after the dry down. At about 2.5 hours in this became a skin scent on me. My skin seems to drink up fragrances. At this point I could get more of the musk and ever so slight woodiness. This is really pretty and on my ever expanding want list. For some reason this reminds me of Delina, if Delina didn’t have the rose and amped up the citrus. Another winner from Initio!

cwavah

Opening is nothing much to write about , alot of bergamot , mild black currant in dry down with sandalwood and vanilla , not really getting any musks

juliajulia10

It’s blended so well, I can’t tell separate notes in this perfume. Very delicate, cozy yet fresh musky scent. Musk in here very fruity, juicy and happy. Feels like summer. I fell in love with a first sniff and got a full bottle but was very disappointed when it didn’t last even two hours on my skin. I had to reapply it multiple times during the day to be able to smell and enjoy the fragrance. Excuse me, it’s not a bath&body works spray to reapply it every hour?

I should try to wear it in fall though, more colder weather, maybe it will last longer

Neckromancer

This reminds me of a more amped up Glossier You. Not the same scent, but a similar vibe. It has crazy sillage and lasting power for a fresh scent. It's a little 'chalky' in terms of texture, unlike any other musk I've smelled. It's not rounded . It's citrusy but in a dry way. Definitely worth the price if you like it because it will last through the day.

silthrill

I don't love it when I sniff the atomizer, but when I spray it onto skin something magical happens. It creates this little bubble of creamy, citrusy, soapy magic. This is so not the usual scent profile I go for, like not at all. And yet, I've ended up with a decant that I've gone through in a week and now I'm having anxiety at the thought of running out. This is absolutely intoxicating. I feel like the appeal of Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue in the 90s grew up to be this - except MUCH more refined, softer, creamier. (Apart from being the greatest musky citrus of its time, it has no resemblance to Light Blue- I actually loathe Light Blue). But this, I will be purchasing a full bottle of this.

cats_eye

Smells like a public restroom air freshener.

R.diggity

Found 2 fragrances that layer perfectly IMO and make this more masculine. It’s a great smell on its own, but I just rarely feel comfortable rocking it.

Malul Ktoret Spice 139 1:1 spray. Adds a summer woodiness vibe. Both last a long time so it stays fairly balanced.

Varvatos Artisan Blu 2:1 spray. The softness of the Musk Therapy, is sharpened by the greens in JV Blu. This was a shot in the dark (and the JV fades mostly at 3-4 hrs. But this may be my go to spring summer going out scent)

Edit: once I got past the feminine white musk opening, after about 1-2 hrs, this really grew on me. In the summer heat, it became a very subtle yet noticeable green/floral light musk scent. Not normally my taste, but i love this.

Leah0026

I’m so confused - I thought this would be a winner as I adore soft, clean musky scents and there is obviously big love out there for this perfume. Unfortunately, there’s a screechy and synthetic note which is spoiling it for me. I think it might smell very similar to an insect repellent we use in Australia. Perhaps it’s the blackcurrant note? It was less prominent during the dry down, but still there. At least I won’t have to shell out $$$ for a bottle!

tmonique11

As a primarily musk fragrance, you have to try this on skin to actually experience its beauty. I bought the Initio coffret set and had a 10 mL of 6 different scents, including this. I tried them all on paper test strips and Musk Therapy was boring and muted. I smelled next to nothing. Same experience i had with Another 13 and several Miller Harris musks. That travel size bottle sat unused for like 6 months until I randomly decided to take it on a trip to a cabin in the N. GA mountains in January. Yeah, freezing. The low during the trip was ~20° but got up to the mid-40s. This fragrance got on my skin and filled that cabin up everywhere I was. It was so gorgeous but not super in your face like how ambroxan reacts to skin. This was an instant love following that trip.

impressionistg

I really love this fragrance. It fits every occasion. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this one. Yes, it is pricy but you get a perfect everyday scent instead.

Ferra_Verto

Creamy musk paired with fresh & sweet citrus. As the scent dries down the fruitiness becomes mute as a light floral sandalwood note emerges.
Not a major projector but lasts long enough, sprayed some hours ago and it's still detectable once I bring my arm to my nose and sniff at my chest.
Quite pricey given the brand, but definitely worth sampling.

JessKandi

I am surprised to see so many negative reviews. For me this is a top ten fragrance. The magic is in the dry down. It opens up as more of a sweet citrus scent. I pick up on a lot of orange. The first time I wore this I was admittedly a bit disappointed at first. I felt it was too simple for all the hype. Then later I started getting these amazing whiffs. I was surprised it was the same perfume. The musk is just lovely on my skin. It’s a fresh yet sultry scent. I have two decants of this but will definitely be purchasing a full bottle.

Anyagb115

I love this. Musky, slightly sweet, slightly creamy, and citrusy. I save it for the hottest days of summer, that’s when it really shines. I wait all year to smell it in the heat 😎

Cocosette

Super feminine!

felipebizarria.1

Opens with a laundry synthetic musk and a solar bergamote, then I can smell a little ambrox and a touch of vanillin. (I thought it would amaze me, but it did not at all). Don't overspray, it's an intimate fragrance.

Farrque

Blackcurrant, powdery and sweet white musk, ambroxan, hint of grapefruit and clean hay after a few minutes.
I wonder what the pink musc accord is meant to smell like. I can see what they mean by the sweet, powdery, almost juvenile aspect of the perfume but that can be said about a lot of perfumes that overdose on white musk as well so I'm a bit lost.
Way airier on paper with the tart blackcurrant providing a fresher take compared to skin.
Prefer it on paper to be honest.

Mizi

Finally got to test it and I don’t know what to say…feeling pretty underwhelmed. It’s basically lemony musk with a hint of mandarine. Really lovely, soft, comfy and clean, freshly ironed laundry. However for that price?! And don’t get me started on how short lived this is, unless you overspray to start with and then continue spritzing yourself throughout the day.
Truly shocked why is it so hyped.
Edit: on clothes it stays way longer all day easily.

Latetothescene

I agree with Maschka and Xela. Same experience. Opening Nice, really is. Drydown really annoying, soapy sharp, unpleasant. It's soap. Not the expensive hotel kind. 😏 Let's just leave it at that. Not to be a complete negative Nelly here, performance is actually not bad. But at this pricepoint, this is one seriously overhyped fragrance. I much much prefer signature by mont blanc for a similar vibe at a forth of the price. Actually, better because despite it having less notes, less "special", it's actually an easy reach with a creamy mandarin musky drydown. Yeah, I'll take signature. Just my opinion. (Tested from a 2ml sample)

PS please stop downvoting. I'm putting a lot of effort in writing a review so people can get an idea of the scent together with other reviews. Don't take away my time, effort and passion put into it by downvoting. Don't like my opinion, which is just as subjective as yours, just scroll away. It's that easy.
Fragrantica should not have this system (downvoting) in the first place, but that's an entirely different battle. Upvoting or not voting should be enough. Don't you agree?

Xela_529

Man, Musk Therapy was such a disappointment for me. The opening was really nice. I experienced a lovely blend of florals, juicy black current, & creamy musk. I was excited because I thought it'd be a hit. Then the dry-down came, and whoomp whoomp whooomp. :/ ... It turned into something vintage and old-fashioned, but not in a good way. It turned out very powdery & dusty. What a complete let down. It could be my body chemistry, I'm sure it works well on others, because that opening was really stunning.

millymichelle

The only perfume in recent history that my nose blind boyfriend complimented. And I wear a LOT of diff perfumes.

Fresh Sweet/Fruity Luxurious Linen

This musk here smells a lot like the musk in Elysium by Roja. It’s juicy and fresh. You definitely smell fruity red-currant here. It also is smooth and almost creamy? I suspect it’s the magnolia. I found myself constantly going back to my arm to smell it more. Very appealing and lasted a long time!

Maschka

another disappointment from this ooooover priced and over hyped brand.
If you look at my collection, I have A LOT of musc fragrances. all kinds of musc - clean, animalic, creamy milky, molecular... and I love them all. But this is the first musc that really annoys me after just an hour of wearing it. Its sharp and detergent like and synthetic. I find it most similar to Pure Musc by NR, which is my least fav of them... but I still prefer it to Musk Therapy.
Glad I dont have to cash out on this tho :D

Trosè2

Smells like a professional woman. Sweet type of Citrus, musky/soapy, floural, clean.

Tasherapd

This scent is light, airy, sort of sensual and comforting. For me this is a skin scent. I smell it and then it sort of disappears but then I can make a swift turn and I get a whiff of it again. I really like it but I just can’t bring myself to purchase a full size bottle. I however got a nice travel size sample from scent bird and it has been lasting for about a month now. This is a great scent and I would love to add it to my collection eventually.

neecola

This scent is sexy to me. I feel like it falls perfectly as a unisex fragrance and I feel like I have to be in the right mood to wear it. It doesn't have the hugest projection but it does last a long time on my skin. Trying to think of what notes it could layer well with to make it lean more feminine.

Schmellin_Good

This reminds me a bit of Ghost in the Shell by Etat Libre d'Orange.

dareholic

It's a scent so clean and pure that it could give Mother Nature herself a run for her money. And what sets it apart is its secret weapon - the milky blackcurrant note. Oh boy, this is where things get interesting! So, my dear friends, if you're looking for a fragrance that will make you feel like you're on cloud nine, grab yourself a bottle of Musk Therapy by Initio. Embrace the heavenly mixture of musks and let the milky blackcurrant and white flowers take you to new olfactory heights. Get ready to turn heads, spread positivity, and rock that unique scent like the fabulous person you are!
🤍🤍🤍 This scent is like nothing else out there. Even not a close dupe to it on a market, It's bold, it's daring, and it's so different from your typical Musk scents.

• Longevity on my skin hold up to 6-8 hours.
• Silage is projected strongly the first 2 hours and then softly fades and as it mixes with a skin and creates very unique scent based on the time of a day, weather and fabric of clothing you wear.

Maailman Katselija

I have received a 2 ml sample in a package today and decided to test it. I used it 20 minutes ago and now I can't feel it anymore. I asked my mom whether she could still smell it and she said it was a very faint flavour, while trying to sniff my wrist. 1/10!

mohsen95

Dumbplings

Creamy and musky black currant with loads of florals...powdery, slightly fruity and sour but in a sort of dark type of way, basically if you know what black currant smells like it's that purple smell but it usually has some sourness to it and sweetness.

Anyone calling this generic is totally wrong...because i've never smelled a single fragrance that smells like this from men or womans perfume.

It's very cloying though, yes it's very sweet but it's not your typical sweet fragrance this is heavy on the florals and powdery musks too. Not your typical powdery scent either like it's certainly not cardamom, iris or baby powder...

That's why this is unique to me, the notes aren't necessarily unique but the way it does all the notes is completely different than how other fragrances use it. And i'll just say it now, beast mode fragrance that may actually be it's downside it's too strong and I wouldn't consider this unisex either it's mostly feminine because it's very floral but not your typical rose/jasmine/freesia/saffron/lily of the valley/tuberose type florals this also does the florals way different too

sambal93

To me this smells like replay for her. Am I the only one? I used to wear that as a young teen. This a little more sophisticated though. It is not very special to my nose, especially with that price tag.

I can’t tell how I feel on this. It’s so hyped, and I think it’s a pretty nice scent. Nothing offensive, just plain citrus (for me). I can smell the faintest linen like scent (but that’s only if I sniff my wrist). Like others said, this feels like an at the spa kind of scent. I think it’s versatile, brings back good memories (guessing that’s part of it all with a name like musk therapy!)
However, I think it’s just me, but the silage is really not good. I have to lift my wrist to my nose to smell it, so I consider myself lucky that I only bought a sample
Overall, very mixed review

Noelle1210

I love this perfume! It is really just the perfect clean, musky scent. Can be worn anytime and anywhere. If you’re a fan of musks, definitely check it out.

MixJoey

Just got a brand new bottle sold by an Italian 45% off ( Grazie !) ! It's such an orgasmic smell. I'm a M(31) and this is certainly my summer fragrance.

It's my second bottle I bought after testing +100 samples. I'm not buying a full bottle when I "like" the perfume, only when I fall in love with them and musk therapy is one of the few.

Looking to buy Side effect this winter because it's also one of the few from Initio.

Fragaddict123

Smooth as it can be
Although no a unique scent but I’m sure it’s influenced by other fragrances first one comes to my mind is byredos bal dafric which is a inspiration of one of Hermes’s greatest creations vetiver tonka
Going back to the main stuff it’s definitely very easy to wear and gives a feeling of happiness I might say
Longevity is good but it’s a very intimate fragrance to the extent I couldn’t enjoy it like I wanted
Compared to other inspirations it’s not something I need in my Collection since I have both scents that I mentioned earlier

johnsoneva115

So clean, feminine without being particularly sweet, serene. I sampled this in Manhattan and went on an hour walk, the sun drew the scent out, it gave me the feeling of walking past billowing, hot laundry that diffuses the most beautiful clean pure scent into the air. It does have a little bit of a powdery feel, but while still being both fresh and creamy at the same time. I mostly pick up the bergamot and musk but it's sooo well blended that the other notes make complete sense. I think anyone could wear this fragrance.

valelita

This is SUCH a beautiful scent. I feel like I am in heaven smelling this.

OGTripleOG

This just smells clean! it's my favorite in my collection, it makes you want to put on an all white linen outfit and relax on a Sunday afternoon maybe even a brunch vibe.

Slightly

A synthetic creamy musk ...
The coconut and Sandalwood in here is quite plasticky. Not the light, clean musk I expected.

I think it is a unisex sex smell, and it would be more impressing if it appears on a guy.

zaniers

My girlfriend has this and honestly it smells amazing. I can fully see a man wearing this tho, it's definetly unisex to my nose. Top notes that my nose smells is coconut, pineapple, like a powdery smell with even some hazelnut.. Honestly amazing smell..

MisTapia

Words that come to mind when I smell this: Clean, fresh, sexy, sensual, soft/powdery, intimate, beautiful, cozy. To me, it was worth the buy. Yes, there are other clean fresh fragrances, but this one doesn’t smell like an artificial body spray.

I received musk therapy, a decant of oud satin mood, and rouge malachite. Out of all of them, this one is my favorite for everyday wear. I want to sleep with it. Rouge malachite is beautiful for a date or evening out. Oud satin mood smelled better after I wiped it off - the oud is just too strong for me but it smells better with time.

This was a perfect blind but for me

sarahmarah

It’s very nice but it’s just not as potent as I’d like for the price. I have a decant so I’ll use it up by layering but I just wanted more intensity.

Liz-frag

I don’t know who said that was sexy or attractive for men but my husband hates it. For the first time he particularly requested me not to wear Musk Therapy around him ever again. It’s a first in my collection.
Musk Therapy is a bit of my « unlucky » fragrance. Everytime I wear it, shit hits the fan.
However, I do really enjoy it myself but this would not retain me to get to the point of selling it maybe. I just can’t get past everything that happens everytime I wear it. I am doing this to myself I think.

If someone is interested in Australia, please contact me. I am sure it can be your lucky fragrance.

rita.zaretskaya

Very much like Bal D’Afrique. If I smelled either on someone I wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. It’s a bit baffling to me how this is not mentioned even more and how they’re independently hyped.

Tuck

This is a light airy clean scent. It smells a lot like MontBlanc Signature , Skin by Clean, and VERY smiliar to Noa from the 90’s. It’s an easy reach and very nice but expensive for the simplicity of the scent.

cyclone1391

I received a decant of this from a generous person in the fragrance community. I am greatly appreciative of being able to try this. That being said... there's a urine note to this and it's strong. So yea, nope.

Caramel lady

There is something very interesting about this scent.. a particular note stands out but I can't put my finger on it.
I agree with the spa comment, but not your white, airy, clean type spa.
One that is earth toned, incense and candles. A spiritual shop could smell like this too.

Interesting? Yes, but I'd never want to smell like this, it's a hard no from me.

Jaimielee123

Smells like citrus musk. Nothing special. Actually reminds me exactly of monte blanc signature. And that is much cheaper. It’s not as exciting as the reviews are suggesting trust me

Christinageor10

When I'm feeling indecisive....Musk Therapy. When I need to feel calm and comfy.....Musk Therapy. When I want to feel happy....Musk Therapy. You get the idea. This is absolutely stunning and unassuming. It is unisex, right down the middle, similar to Bal d'Afrique, but a different DNA, similar in the sense that it works for any occasion, any gender, any mood. This is the epitome of clean, classy and calming.

The name is very fitting as it feels therapeutic and relaxing. I would recommend to anyone who loves a clean musk with a blackcurrant bite to it. This is a masterpiece and I would absolutely repurchase. 10/10 😍❤️

jessica_chinos

I didn’t like this perfume at first, it smelled like a public laundry, but since I had a 5 ml decant I had to find ocassion to use it up. It was dissapointing when I found out that the Downy I use at home to soften clothes is almost exactly the same scent as this perfume, especially for the price point.

But today I have a flight and I wanted to smell good but not invasive, I wanted to smell light, better than if I had no perfume at all. I decided to wear the alcohol free J’Adore perfume d’eau (the white one) and on top, I spayed Musk Therapy… What a celestial scent was born… It was like a morning angel. This layering combo has a moderate sillage (respectfull of others) and an impressive longevity. J’adore perfume d’eau lasts an hour on my skin, but layered with this, lasts for hours. The best part is that it doesn’t smell like Downy any more! It smells like a white paradise…

So, I recommend Musk Therapy for layering (if you want to spend that kind of money), it might be worth it because it adds great longevity to soft fragrances and improves simple scents.

rorokoko

It's interesting that have compared this to Bal D'afrique in the "reminds me of" section. I kinda get that. Like a faint cologne version of Bal D'Afrique.

Leelee00

I was really looking forward to loving this. 20 mins in and I'm nauseous af. This is sterile on my skin. It's really giving Lysol and that's disappointing. I haven't smelled it on anyone else but my skin says please no. Projection is good but I feel like it always is with a scent that doesn't work out.

My fiancé does like it. He could smell it down the hallway... so projection is far beyond decent. I'm giving it to him.

CSarwar

Nice but too soft

Atina365

I love it. It’s fb worthy in my opinion. It’s elegant, mysterious, sexy, uplifting and high quality. It lasts long enough.

J.B.Burns

Smells like something your geriatric great aunt would put on when the family comes to visit at the nursing home. Cloying, overbearing, repulsive. The price is absurd, you'd be better of with a bottle of Jovan. I couldnt even use this as a room spray.

st_ch

The opening is bright and citrusy, but the dry-down mellows out into a soft, creamy musk. It's a very comforting scent but it basically becomes a skin scent on me. Completely inoffensive fragrance, and can be worn by anyone. Just wish it had better performance.

My5Scents

It’s a lovely fragrance, very enjoyable but it’s way too gentle, I’d like it to be much stronger with better projection.

Pernillaw

I don´t know, i don get fresh, citrus or green, i just get varm and mature. But it´s clean and classy tho, like an expensive facecream. I don´t hate it, it´s well balanced but for me a bit to mature and a bit boring.

HazelBliss

My nose must be broken because this doesn't smell sweet like others described.. unless I got a bad batch. It's too green and woody for my liking and I don't smell fruit. Might as well get a musky fragrance by that Clean line. To me it smells very masculine. :/

Greg19

Too feminine and too sweet. I've tried to like this several times and I think the more I wear it, the more I despise it. The only times I've thought it was OK was when layering. Since I don't like it, of course the longevity is very long lasting. Thank god I only picked up a 30ml decant instead of a full bottle. Hopefully it won't be too hard to sell.

89.scents

I really wanted to adore this one as the fragrance influencer girlies hyped this one up. After 20 mins it settles too sharp which can be a bit shrieking and nauseating. The sandalwood and powdery note gave balance to this for a short while and then it just turned a little loud and chemically soap. For some reason I thought I would get a spa-like, expensive, light and airy smell, but unfortunately this reminds me of Tory Burch’s 2013 fragrance. I Just can’t shake the nostalgia. I will say that the projection, sillage and longevity of this fragrance is outstanding.

Edit: smells like Lysol disinfectant spray

rainydays

The smell of fresh laundry is nice but in perfume it can be a bit harsh and soapy. Not at all the case here. This is like clean linens hung on the line to dry in the warm sun, somewhere near a fruit orchard. Sweet, clean, ethereal, uncomplicated, cozy.
Edit: I'm agreeing with the comparison to Bal d'Afrique, but I like this more. Musk Therapy is less sweet, more airy.

MabelleBeauty

Now i understand why its called musk therapy! This has a very relaxing effect on me. It smells like a clean spa. Very fresh in the opening the dry down is fruity and musky. Peach is not listed as a note but i pick up a lot of peach. Its beautiful! Im in Love

Afrikano

A very light, airy and citrusy fragrance that smells amazing. The first 15 mins I get a lot of the musk but it goes away and all you’re left with is the black currant and mandarin orange blending in with the sandalwood very smoothly. I was worried this might be redundant to Bal d’Afrique since many people compare it to that and I own (and love) it, but this is completely different to me. Where musk is the main note in Musk Therapy, BdA uses vetiver. Glad I gave this a chance and own a full bottle because the first time I wore it while sampling I couldn’t smell it on myself at all. But now it’s one of my favorites from Initio. 9/10

jcalla1545

Musk therapy was my first Initio fragrance. It’s super clean and cozy. There is an addictive quality to this scent. I love it so much! My husband loves to smell this one too! It’s soft, fresh, citrus, and clean. this would be a great signature scent. Perfect for running around doing errands, the gym, or even a casual daytime event.

Clairexoxo

This is a feminine musky fragrance. Musk Therapy is not as interesting as the darker bottles from the brand. However, I like that the brand offers this because it brings diversity to its line up. Though, I'd personally rather purchase others from the brand like Absolute Aphrodisiac.

Musk Therapy is mostly a creamy-fruity-citrusy clean musk. The citrus and musk are the most prominent notes to me. The musk is clean and not too soapy. I get the slightest soapiness but nothing abrasive.
The blackcurrant brings a bit of natural sweetness. The sandalwood brings the creaminess.
As it dries down, I also smell some touches of natural woodiness from the sandalwood.

However, there is something I do not like as it dries down on my skin when I smell it up-close... the citrus and musk start to smell off, a bit unclean, and like chemicals.

I am not convinced by the performance either. I get 4 hours of low projection/sillage and then it is a skin scent that is very hard to detect.

Though, I won't be too harsh because it is probably just my skin chemistry. It is still a very versatile and non-offensive option for a signature scent in spring-summer. But not for me.

I'll pass.

*If you are interested in trying others from the brand, here is my personal ranking based on my taste/preference, from favorite to least favorite: 1*Absolute Aphrodisiac (sensual vanilla with smooth leather), 2*Psychedelic Love (alluring powdery almondy), 3*Side Effect (sexy vanillic boozy tobacco), 4*Addictive Vibration (unusual opulent honey and grape candy), 5*Musk Therapy (underwhelming clean fruity musk), 6*Atomic Rose (challenging dark sexy peppery rose)

Pgdipoto

Light and refreshing but also cozy. calming and ethereal. Sprayed this on at night in a warm cozy sweater and it fits perfectly. It is floral and feminine but I'm a guy and I love wearing it.

MorningOud

For me this was a very soft skin scent, freshly washed sheets out the dryer with a subtle fruity overtone. I think someone who would want to be more subtle and reserved would wear this; or a scent for just relaxing, meditating by yourself inside.

AlySue

This is a lovely, soft fragrance. It reminds me of the cozy feeling of getting a hug from a friend or putting on a clean, warm shirt right out of the dryer on a chilly morning. I love it. However, it smells nearly identical to Clean Reserve - Skin to me. I wore Musk Therapy on one wrist and Skin on the other and they were almost indistinguishable. Musk Therapy is a bit more complex and has greater staying power, but is at a higher price point. Clean Reserve - Skin is so similar, IMO, that I’d recommend trying a sample of it before buying a full size of Musk Therapy if $$$ is a consideration for you.

MixJoey

Testing Initio sample and oh boys and girls, this one makes me dream. I imagine being in vacation, high temperature country on a big size bed with clean white sheet, after taking a shower, spraying this fragrance and lay down fresh to take a nap.

It smells white, fresh, the dry down is the best in my opinion. It's winter here so I can't test it out in the best condition yet.
I'm a little bit scared about projection, it seems like it doesn't project at all.

If anyone pass here, let me know how much do you spray and if you think the projection is good.

I think it's perfectly unisex and for very "niche" situation also very personnal fragrance.

Initio is such a quality niche fragrance, or at least for me nose it seems like it is.

I'm about to pull the trigger and buy one bottle and one of side effects.

Tre305

tried this today at my local frag shop and while i loved the opening, i felt it faded too much on my skin about 20 minutes later. (could have been because it was a little warm in the store). fast forward 6+ hrs later and i happen to take a sniff of my arm that i sprayed it on......just ordered a bottle that i should have next week lol

David159

Amazingly calming, easy-to-wear and versatile.

Absolute perfection. 10/10.

CajunSmurf

So on my last scent bird order I put this in because I loved my last Initio order. I was looking forward to the other 2 on the order more. Well damn...I sprayed this one and have been very surprised and pleased to the point where it is my favorite from this order. I immediately smell the sweetness and the light floral notes. A little later the musk comes through with the floral and it was excellent. If you are on the fence on trying it, I suggest it.

kbraun

Just tried it… pleasant scent but almost no projection! Have to come directly to my wrist to smell anything. You would definitely need to spray tons of this on to get any sillage or projection. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle not worth it.

gretta

Ambrosia fruit salad with the mini marshmallows and shredded coconut. Gave this to my daughter and it's delicious on her.

taurusenergy

Smooth, comforting, office-safe, and unisex. Doesn't lean into the "baby scent" like some musks (Royal Muska). However, I don't get any of the citrus or fruits other reviewers mentioned. It's faintly milky and sweet, but overall it's a straight clean musk. And the best one I've sampled.

Uh-umm

Walked in Neiman Marcus to smell some Bond no. 9 . Walked out with this bottle instead. It literally took me 30 seconds to decide. I can’t describe how good it smelled. Fresh creamy citrus not in your face but subtle. This and paragon are must haves for me. Im in love with this house 🥰

Chadburnz

That far dry down though…😍 male or female this is just a scent. The ultimate Clean Aesthetic Fragrance.

PerfumePixie87

I bought a sample of this and was instantly addicted to it's uplifting and invigorating zesty vibe. I'm a sucker for clean musks and for a cassis or blackcurrant note, so no surprises that I found this irresistible. I put it on my wishlist and when I found a decent deal I pulled the trigger on a full sized 90ml bottle. However, I'm not sure if I got a bad batch but frustratingly both the longevity and sillage were far superior in my sample than my full bottle. I see the similarities between this MT and Bal d'Afrique, but plumped for Musk Therapy thinking that Inito would out-perform Byredo, but I'm not so sure. It is a very casual, bright and cheerful tonic for daily use but overspraying is crucial. I feel Musk Therapy is all opening and I feel robbed of the dreamy dry down, which in Bal d'Afrique is where the magic happens. I love the scent but feel very let down by its performance, especially given the high price point.

NATBURR

on my skin, this smells exactly like a big glass of cold orange juice. Its so strange but not in a bad or good way I guess. The air around me smells bright and citrus and lovely though. Its very pleasant!

Naddyfromtheblock

This is a perfectly unisex musk fragrance to me. For something more feminine leaning, I prefer M.MIcallef Royal Muska!

daisybrown

hospital(ity), clean sheets, stirring cream into coffee, rain through the window, tv static

golden.signorina

Smooth clean musk with slight creamy sandalwood adding a little bit sweetness with a touch coconut smell..
Lovely one ..
8.5/10

amateurnose

𝗕𝗮𝗹 𝗗'𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁...? it's in the same realm but to call it a refined impression of it also sounds like a stretch. This is why I love Initio, you may think it's one exact scent but in reality, the mystery 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.

BebeLaBeaux

I got this to test and from the first spray I was in love!! It's a summery musk, you get wafts of orange and sweetness along with the musky notes. Now I'm going to have to save up for the full bottle!

JPhase95

I’m a 27 year old guy, I wear this in the high summer heat in tropical countries as also my own (England) when it’s hot. I love this stuff. Smooth, fruity and beautifully natural smelling musk. I get some real good positive attention when wearing this from females I also get a very decent longevity for a freshie and decent projection for first couple hours.

Celticlass08

So bummed that I bought the 7.5ml. I was absolutely convinced that I would love this. Unfortunately it smells like bug spray on my skin. Waiting for it to settle into something more palatable but so far, no go. Maybe I’ll try layering it with something else?

katrinawhitney

For whatever reason, when I first got my sample back in the summer months, this smelled so similar to Narciso’s musks with something peachy. However, now in the cooler months, I don’t feel that anymore. In terms of what I get from it though, it is what some others are saying, very reminiscent to a laundry type product with a little something added to it. As Noseblinded said, it is very much a “good girl” scent, though to me, there’s nothing “sensual” about it. It’s something that I would more than likely tell someone “you smell good” if they were wearing it, but I wouldn’t want to go buy it for myself. It’s just pleasant and clean. Definitely in the “clean girl aesthetic.”

Maliken

It's feminine leaning, but certainly doesn't smell out of place on men. This is a beautiful fragrance especially for the warmer months and a nice change from the usual citrus based freshies that fizzle out way too quick. Musk Therapy does not disappoint with how it performs on me.

melimelo87

Feminine leaning, amazing longevity and projection and a compliment getter. Every time I wear this, somebody tells me you smell amazing,🥰 a must try if you are a musk lover like I am. Sure hefty price tag, but it is a good all year round fragrance. Full bottle worthy in my opinion, if you love your musky scents!

katieejh

Creamy, soft, soapy, powdery, floral - like a fabric softener. Calming and clean.
Clean musk, white florals, light citrus, and subtle blackcurrant, with the sandalwood making a quiet appearance during the dry-down. It also loses its creaminess and becomes more 'washing powder', less 'fabric softener'.
The citrus and blackcurrant were much more prominent on my clothes than on my skin.

Patj1994

I sold my bottle, way way too feminine for me, nowhere near unisex.

MatchaCat

Citrus, florals and clean musk. Leans feminine. Nice relaxing, clean scent. Evokes the image of strolling in a zen garden with a lot of white florals around. It doesn't smell unique though. I think if the florals were toned down, and the other notes amped up, it would be more unique. However, this is a safe and likable scent. Light and airy, but long-lasting.

Smell: 7 out of 10
Longevity: 9 out of 10

For reference, I'm female.
