My signature scent for evenings, fall and winters. This is totally the crown princess of chocolate fragrance. She’s bright, attractive and warmhearted. An orange chocolate that is unique, well blended, harmony and absolutely delicious, FYI, not in a gourmand way. The projection and lasting are just average, which is quite sad since this is such an attractive and addictive scent. It is discontinued and not easy to find, so if you love chocolate fragrance and spot this TSPE somewhere, you need it in your life.

FeleciaB

Husband bought me this and it'll always be one of my favorites. Very well blended. So much so I can't pin point any of the notes other than I know it's sweet but not too much so. It's an easy reach for sure!

Sarnaidaci

I bought this for winter, to have a nice smell that reminds me of christmas. It kind of fills this purpose for me with the chocolate and orange notes, but it lasts a very short time and has a very small sillage. Also smell kind of cheap, because the notes dont blend together nicely but can be smelled at the same time, without transitioning. I reach for it very rarely to spray on myself but sniff it daily… I feel like it’s missing something, some spice, some depth.

Marina.Klr

It’s not a gourmand, it’s clear that it’s all about a chemical creation. I mean it’s not realistic. I can smell the chocolate and the orange, but it doesn't seem high quality. It has a medical “under-vibe”, like a cough syrup. The opening it’s very sweet and intense. It’s a strong perfume. It also makes me dizzy... It has great longevity and projection.

anna222

It’s not a gourmand in my opinion. Yes I can smell a chocolate note but to me the note isn’t foody it’s blended really well with the other notes. This is gorgeous. It’s classy, quite unique, and so well blended. It has orange in it and chocolate but it’s all mixed together in a pretty but strong way.

assoula17

Smooth chocolate orange fusion. When I first tried it out in the summer I literally couldn’t smell a thing and was really disappointed. Then I forgot about it and thought I’d give it a try again now, I gotta say the cold weather makes it blossom. Still on the weaker side of the spectrum when it comes to performance though. Is it nice? Yes. Is it mind blowing? No.

FabricatedFashion

Perfectly blended bright gourmand. Absolutely lovely for the price point and probably much better than some of the other much more expensive chocolate gourmands on the market. Top notes are lovely and would probably love this more if there was no Osmanthus, as it is not a favourite of mine. Overall, I love how this smells. I find the longevity a bit of an issue. You need to spray a this a few times. Haven't had a chance to let it macerate, so not sure if the longevity or intensity increases as more air is introduced into the bottle. Not only is this FBW, I am planning on purchasing a back up. Safe Blind Buy for chocolate lovers.

LuckyDay27

Anxiously waiting for the bottle I ordered to arrive! Reading these comments about this perfume and how much others love it is exciting. Can’t wait!

A German company, Eclat do a dupe no. 383

_jenevieve_

I’ve not much to add about the orange-chocolate delight that is Boss Private Accord. Instead, I’d like to weigh in and sing the praises of the fragrance as a complete experience.
The airiness this composition achieves is remarkable. After the delectable opening, the white flowers float just above my skin in the most charming way! Many commenters seem to have longevity woes, thankfully I’m not one of them, and can detect the scent for up to twelve hours or more after spraying.
As many others do, I find this to be a wonderfully comforting bedtime scent, and enjoy Private Accord more when the weather reaches freezing temperatures. I found that I never reached for it in spring or summer.
After consideration I decluttered Jimmy Choo Fever and Sophia Vergara Love and kept this as my preferred coffee note perfume along with Black Opium Extreme (no resemblance).
The nose for this, Louise Turner, is such a talent. I’ve had the privilege to test many of her creations, and Boss the Scent Private Accord is top tier.

Nutella chocolat with a hint of powder i wish that it’s last a little longer

J'aimeunefragrance

Oof literally the best Cacao-Orange combination. Please suggest me a longer lasting dupe if anyone’s aware, because this is addictive.

coco1981

The longevity isn't great but it's worth respraying for the boozy choc orange truffle fantasy! It's SO sexy.

AgataO

I bought a few samples for a test - and after that a nice full bottle.
It is a sweet perfume, lasts on me around 4 hours, after that it changes to mostly skin scent - but other people can smell it sometimes even longer than me. I regret that my smell sense is not as good as theirs, i would like to enjoy this scent longer - but of course nothing is stopping me from spraying it again^^.
This is one of my favourites (to be honest - I love other perfumes form The Scent for Her Collection too) - can not wait for cooler days so i can use it without feeling overwhelmed by the sweetness of it.

dj71

I have smelled a few different chocolate/citrus perfumes and while they all smell delicious, this one seems to be the smoothest and best blended to my nose. Really delicious scent. I haven't tested this enough to comment on longevity or projection, but I do like this one enough that I'd buy a bottle and just overspray and respray as necessary. This one stands out as a really good scent to me.

Sophia97

Whenever I spray it, it takes me to memory lane. I clearly remember how my first date went, how I was nervously sitting at a coffee shop waiting for the love of my life who I thought was careless like who even comes late at first date?! haha Beautiful memory with a beautiful fragrance. It's warm, it's chocolatey, it's floral, It's mesmerizing. However I don't like the longetivity of it. It lasts only 2 hours on my skin.

Cherubina

Sexy but over spraying is required.

Kinzie31

Starts off as a chocolate orange, then quickly settles down into Carolina Herrera Good Girl Legere (or Zara Deep Garden)

cribbycrab

Mouth watering Orange Chocolate truffle, this is going to be my go to in fall & winter. I layered this with Serge Lutens Five o’clock au gingembre & it immediately elevated into a whole other dimension.

bringprivateaccordback

I love it, I need it, I crave for it. please bring this masterpiece back - I'm almost out of my current bottle! doesn't last for too long though which is a shame especially considering the price, but I'm fine with reapplying.

Acrelune

I generally do not like gourmand perfumes, but orange dark chocolate is my favourite kind of chocolate, and this reminded me of that.

However, when you like a perfume because it reminds you of something, never go for a full bottle, but rather get the smallest one or at least a smallER one.
I thought this could be a perfume I’d wear for two full seasons but it was not, I quickly got bored of it. I got the 50ml bottle and find myself wishing I had only gotten a 10ml or 20ml one.

It IS undeniably pleasant. But not unique or complex enough for me unfortunately.

Sillage is okay, as long as you spray 5 or more times. Projection is a joke.

There was so so much hype about this one back in 2020, it made me so curious to try it. Having worked my way through a 100ml bottle, I am over it, but it's very likeable. Yes it's delicious in a way, cocoa more than chocolate and definitely a hint of orange with a bit of a creaminess, perhaps from the osmanthus, but the longevity and projection for me is woeful, a few hours at best and it's gone and it's very close to skin. I ended up wearing this one to bed a lot because of that.

Jennswen

I wanted something to complement my Ives Rocher Orange Fondante body wash, and this is very similar. I would not consider this a perfume. It is like a body spray. It lasts about 30 minutes then gone. It is a nice orange milk chocolate. I will use this as a bedtime scent.
It is very soft. Would i buy again? Nope! Not worth the hype. However, could be a nice gift for a young girl. The bottle is very nice.

Luminan

I love the scent from the bottle, but on my skin it becomes very bitter, like bitter cacao and unfortunately that makes me feel really nauseous.

So I like to soften it A bit with the original the Scent.
Together they are A nice delicious fruity combo.

kaantamtunali

It is the best smell i have ever smelt on my wife. It is a masterpiece. Smell:10/10 longevity:6/10 silliage:7/10

Elfin Will

I remained rather indifferent to this perfume. I was very excited to test it: its olfactory notes are among my favorites. I don't know how to describe it. A chocolatey orange indeed, which awakens the Christmas spirit and reminds of the holiday season. But I think I would rather eat this chocolate orange than smell it on me all the time. This scent is just gourmand and comforting, but nothing sexy and original if you want to stand out. It's just pleasant and won't bother anyone I guess. But well, what I deplore the most is its staying power! After 3 hours, I don't smell anything. Just a little cocoa at the bottom.

7.5/10

WildDove

I didn't much care for Private Accord when I first got it a couple of years ago. It may have needed to age. I still don't like it in the first 15 minutes or so, but after 15 minutes it seems to come into its own as a vanilla-heavy gourmand, and after an hour actually seems to somewhat resemble Mon Guerlain despite the difference in notes. I can get the cacao-chocolate note if I try, but it doesn't jump out at me like the vanilla does.

anna222

This is a quite perfumey scent. Strictly cocoa and orange (not a juicy sweet orange though which I wish it was). I have grown more and more fond of it though and think it’s a gorgeous scent. I think it’s growing on me everyday. Super nice

ava96

At first spritz it smells like chocolate orange cookies. I really like this one and it might be my favourite chocolate that I have in my collection. It's really warm and inviting. The bottle is really pretty. Longevity is not very good (3 hours on my skin).

BigBobRoss

Strong chocolate and coffee scent can't really smell the orange but overall it's an pleasant winter fragrance...

Unisex scent imo

Missysux

I love it. It's not a loud, projecting scent (and I LOVE a projecting scent) *but* there are definitely times that I have to keep it quieter. The person sitting next to me could definitely smell it. It's a pretty orange/chocolate. I spray my clothes as well because that helps keep it alive. Family gatherings, meetings, even my work (I tattoo so I'm in very close contact with my clients) are places I wear it.

LadyMuck

Beautiful and soft choc/orange/floral. Close to the skin scent that will not project well if that's what you are looking for. It does need re-spraying a fair bit during the day. I would class this as one of the poorest for staying power so take that into account if you are blind buying otherwise pretty and feminine fragrance that is lovely.

MeditativeRose

It is my SOTD and truth be told, it is G-O-R-G! I have to say though that after wearing it for years I find much to be desired in the longevity department. I have had to overspray and reapply a lot throughout today and it's just midday! How can something smelling so refined and up class have such poor longevity?! Nonetheless, overspraying is the key which will be my modus operandi with this for as long as it lasts! After I run out I might try another orange chocolate concoction with better longevity.

EDIT [16th November 2023]: I have tried a few chocolate fragrances in the past couple of months but nothing quite hits the spot like this. I think it's the combination of bright citrus with smooth rich chocolate that is unmatched.

nicolemarie

Really not sure 🤔 if I love or hate. If I find it masculine or feminine, strong or light. Why does this have me so confused lol. I know one thing though… chocolate orange !!

akibekal89

the perfume profile its good
the scent 10/10
the longevity 5/10 (4hours max then turn to skin scent)
silage 8/10 first hour it noticeable
character 8/10
nice perfuem i would said

Pepperonii456

This is indeed so so delicious. I have 3 of the scent for her line. This one is the best for me. Yes, terrible longevity. However the silage is decent. Husband loves this on me.

PuppyFever

Perfect smell, terrible longevity. The worst lasting power I have ever encountered yet, and even light blue lasts longer on me. What a shame because this smells so delicious. It's the most balanced and wearable, subtle-gourmand, chocolate fragrance... but I can't justify purchasing this again if it's gone within minutes :(

koldlady

I didn’t appreciate this scent at first. I used to be really excited about it, so I did blind bought the full-size bottle but then it’s just okay to me, i still like the scent. But yesterday, when I spray it on and left it dry down for about 30 minutes, I immediately felt in love with this scent and I know I have to write a review about it. I really feel like this is one of the best cacao fragrance to me. It performed really well on my skin too, people says the longevity of this fragrance’s really weak, but after 6 hours the scent still lingering on my skin. This is Winter only, the scent is really cozy and warm, I can feel the heat when spray this on. Definitely worth the try.

sharky_shosho

Smells fantastic but the lasting power is a real joke !

kesteny

@heliga's review is pretty spot on.

The opening is gorgeous - pretty realistic orange segment covered in powdery dark chocolate - so yum and so delectable, but it's quickly replaced by a generic perfuminess somewhat reminiscent of the drydown of CH Good Girl, which I strongly dislike.

If you're after a more unique and more long lasting chocolate I do recommend choco musk, but sadly its missing the lovely orange in the opening. The chocolate note is also a lot sweeter and creamier as opposed to the powdery and dark version in this perfume.

Heliga

The opening of Private Accord is almost pure cacao to my nose, which I love. Underneath there is a bit of a generic sweet perfumeyness (Viva La Juicy family vibes...) which I often find off-putting, but it works pretty well to balance out the harshness of the cacao and the hint of coffee. This actually lasts pretty well on my skin, even though it goes a bit more generic towards the end of the journey. I wore it to work a couple of times and could still smell it almost 10 hours after putting it on.

I would describe this is having something truly unique (that dark and almost unsweetened cacao!), while at the same time reminding me a lot of several perfumes in my wardrobe, in particular Vanille Ylang from Jeanne Arthes and Choco Musc by Al Rehab. Something in the base also reminds me of Angel Muse edt or Fatale Intense from Agent Provocateur, but completely devoid of their fruitiness and patchouli overdose.

cypriotsister

Performance is pants, but a beautiful chocolate covered orange bedtime or cuddle scent. It’s discontinued which is probably the only reason I bought it recently.

amyaz

Just echoing the other reviews. I get the orange and chocolate for about 10 minutes, definitely turns into an osmanthus tea type scent. It's weird because for me it switches between both scents and the notes feel a little jumbled.

Call me crazy but it actually reminds me of Charlotte Russe's fragrance called refuge nights, since I still own a bottle of that I don't feel the need for this one, especially since this one kind of gives me a headache.
It also super reminds me of Replica Tea escape 🤔

kissabelle

Another discontinued perfume I recently hunted down a new bottle and added to my collection.
At first look at the notes it’s gourmand but it’s nothing like that after the first 2 minutes. If you’ve ever had osmanthus tea before, you would immediately recognize the osmanthus floral note.

Ok initial spray, I get citrus, cacao. Very captivating. This is literally what you smell if you sniff the nozzle after spraying. It then starts to fade and lets the osmanthus through. Dry down happens so fast (meaning top notes disappears before you get the 10th sniff in). Then I am left with a faint nice osmanthus & tonka (woody creamy vanilla) light skin scent.

So yes, reviews saying this has no longevity, fades extremely fast, beautiful but becomes a skin scent, losing the citrus and chocolate note shortly after spraying. All these comments are absolutely accurate.

It’s an oriental floral tea by the 5 min mark. There is some sweetness to it, very pleasant and mild.

Despite how poor performing this scent is, it’s the kind of scent at first sniff I know I’ll be keeping this.
Expect this as a scent you want to wear close to yourself, not to project or for anyone. Definitely not offensive. This is a blind buy for me. No regrets. I love this!

bossmama

With how deep and rich the opening is you'd think this kind of scent would have better longevity than it actually is.

SweetSillage98

This is perfect for gourmand lovers, but it doesn't last long! I love the orange cacao combination. Men love this smell.

Crystalita76

Private Accord for Her EDP🤎
Sweet- powdered coco with whiffs of orange 🍊
This fragrance smells so good it will make you want to lick it off your skin in the opening.
It’s very comforting and very gourmand.
Definitely a compliment getter.
But there is one serious downside.
The longevity is terrible.
You will have to continue to spray this all day to keep the magic happening.
There are traces of coffee bean and regardless of what’s listed in the fragrance notes, there is definitely vanilla going on.
The orange note and osmanthus are not dominating.
Very sweet and absolutely sexy.
Great fragrance for those who love chocolate fragrances 🤎

LMD

Very first impressions: very strong and sweet, can smell the osmanthus and mandarin front and centre first. For some reason it's giving me Angel edp vibes- think it's the fruit and patchouli. It's very "perfumey" and kind of 90s/y2k. Need to see how it develops but feels like a powerhouse/going out out perfume so far.

Maria Dedeloudi

My favourite parfume!🔥❤️

pweedyadel

Hugo Boss The Scent Private Accord was love at first sniff. It smells like Kingsbite Chocolate 🍫. Would have been in my top 10 designer fragrances for life if not for the performance. All the same, it’s a beauty to have in your collection with notes such as cocoa, orange 🍊, Tonka bean 🫘, coffee ☕️ and osmanthus.

LivsAnne

It’s a very nice chocolate orange fragrance, smells great on my skin. The longevity is not that great, making it slightly overpriced compared to some of the other flankers in this range that are quite long lasting

Dinaina

I really like the scent, I just wish it had more depth and that is was stronger. What a shame it could have been so much better.

nicksolihin

Can smell the orange and coffee/ choc

xValerijax

This is the most beautiful portrayal of dark chocolate that I have come across that does not last at all. It is just ugh.... saddest face!

I had to return my bottle because I just could not justify paying this price. I would pay 25 EUR max for the perfume because of this.

I hope the dumb dumbs at Hugo Boss realize what a gem they have here and make it stronger.

Rober7a

The reviewers on YouTube described this as a juicy mandarin drizzled in chocolate, which sounded so delicious, two of my favorite things so I was really excited and didn't even care it doesn't last long. But this is so lackluster, there is nothing juicy about the mandarin, it's a barely there fruitiness. And I don't smell chocolate, I smell a faint cacao powder. So the smell is weak to begin with, but then it fades away after an hour. So it's not so disappointing to let it go, since even if it smelled how I expected, the quality is low. I will keep looking for a delicious chocolate orange/mandarin scent, if anyone knows of a good one, DM me the suggestions please.😊🍊🍫

Cheesetoastie22

Not a very interesting fragrance, just smells like a chocolate orange. Quite weak and doesn't last long.

shes_perfume

If you're about to buy this please read this first.
so this perfume smells AMAZING! especially few minutes after the sprays, and as for something like the first one or two hours (at least for me).
The problem - THE LONGEVITY THE THE MOST POOR LONGEVITY I'VE EVER TRIED!
At first the sillage is really good, you can really smell it all over you (of course if you dont like orangy-choclaty kind of smells do not get near to this one).
After two hours you litteraly need to press your nose to your wrest to smell this, you can't even call it a skin scent, it's that horrible. but still, the smell is amazing.
To my opinion, it could have being tottally concidered to be a unisex perfume, I dont know why hugo boss made this a female scent, but dont let it scare you if you're a female and looking for something feminine, its really so sexy, and if you're wearing something sexy with it people will treat you like a choclate bar. Also men, I will go crazy if I'd sit next to a man smelling like this, if we're forgetting about the poor longevity and sillage and talking only about the smell, this is a totally safe buy for guys.
back to the problem - the longevity.
If you do want this perfume because of the smell - you can just use it as for short meetings (I actually think it could be really cool to go with it on work meetings, its sexy but in a super sophisticated way), over spray it, grub it with you in your hand bag and give it more sprays every few hours while going to the toilette (the bottle is kinda small and you can easly take it with you), layer it with other choclatycoffeecocoa perfumes (like prada candy night, angel muse, black opium and such) - so there are some things you can do to use it.
If you don't have time to spray during the daynight, I wouldnt buy it because it would be a big disappointment and a waste of money. there are other perfumes out there that blends orangy-smells with choclate, not a lot but there are (there is the new "yes I am delicious" perfume that has just being released - its choclate with orange blossom, im not sure if its the same but I know the "yes I am" range got some really good longevity and their price is also really good).

Hannehoney

This is a very good fragrance, but on my skin it is a bit flat and it gets very very dry...like a dark chocolate powder..slightly bitter...not sweet..I wish it could be more like liquid chocolate. Im not sure if I will buy it again, cause I have to overspray it to just get a little smell of it :(

GourmandGoddess94

I really wish this lasted longer because the actual smell of this fragrance upon first spray and the hour or two that it actually lasts is sooo incredibly amazing. It’s sensual and gourmand. It’s so yummy that I just wanna cuddle up with my damn self but it doesn’t last! But this is a good scent to spray right before getting in bed with your man. 🔥 If the performance was better I swear I’d reach for this over almost every niche fragrance I own.

brenda.arellano001

Far more similar to BS private show then to its flankers. I mean so, so close to BS. Same caramel sweetness and creaminess. I find BS to have better projection and sillage but private accord is not necessarily a skin scent. It stays close within my bubble but I can easily catch traces as I move about. I don’t find it synthetic at all but alas, every nose is different. I will say it is indeed delicious and private accord is the most edible in comparison to absolute and intense. As I mentioned before, the bind that ties them together is that they’re all gourmands but they differ greatly from one another.

Midnight Lady

There's a great review by @Blondette somewhere down this thread. And she perfectly desribed my impressions. So I will just recap shortly:

Stunning opening, literally tangerine in chocolate. Dark, but juicy, sort of fresh. Same on clothes. Truly brilliant.

Give it ten minutes and it morphs into flat sickly sweet, artificial scent. Extremely ordinary as you smelled this structure a hundred times in hundred other gourmands released in last 10 years.

I so wanted to like this and buy that wonderful bottle. Can't help it.

5/10

When I smell this I get a mental image of a mandarin slice dipped in dark chocolate with mocha powder sprinkled on top. I really, REALLY like this. I just wish it lasted longer....

mabelyang

the opening is sweet & citrusy. However I cannot stand the sweetness as it felt abit too sickening for me, And the orange cacao sweetness remained even with the dry down on my skin. kinda sad as I do love the opening scent.

maritzza

In my opinion, this is just okay. I was surprised how poor the lasting power was on my skin. It's a nice coffee scent especially for fall and winter, that's all. I expected it to be delicious and gorgeous but it wasn't. Many people seem to love this so this must be an unpopular opinion.

Veanera

Lovely sent of sweet chocolate. Its not overwhelmingly sweet just the right amount of milk chocolate maybe like a chocolate orange if you've ever experienced one of those. Its honestly so good and one of the best perfumes I have tried in a really long time.

Juspaigeme

Chocolate covered oranges with coffee, tonka bean and osmanthus that adds a bit of peachy freshness.
It reminds me of those Terry’s milk chocolate oranges. This is such a yummy scent! It’s a beautiful sweet fragrance with just a tiny hint of fresh to help balance it out. Longevity isn’t the best so I do have to reapply it during the day but the scent itself makes up for it.

AlexandraTroush

I was not too excited to use it in almost a year, but something happened and I've been using it non-stop for the past week. I'm talking all day, every day. 5 sprays in the morning, 5 more in the afternoon, 5 more before going to bed. The spray count may seem excessive normally, but this isn't a loud perfume and it doesn't last too long. 5 sprays seems to me the adequate amount for one wear.

This is such a warm, delicious scent! Bright and uplifting in the start, sweet and cuddly in the dry down. Gets rid of my winter blues like no other scent. It's universally appropriate and I never found it to be too much of anything. It's quite soft really, but when you get close it's really fun. I think this is the winter I'll finish my cute little 30ml bottle. Am I going to repurchase it? Maybe, I do own too many perfumes right now so my priority is to first of all finish at least half of what I already have. But once my collection goes back to the normal size for me (20-ish fragrances)? I certainly might!

RachelSeun

The dry down of this fragrance really reminds me of a fragrance by Hugo Boss which I believe has now been discontinued, Boss Orange SUNSET, so there is so much nostalgia for me with this fragrance.

At first I was disappointed because the chocolate orange and milk chocolate note dissipated VERY quickly on my skin however, the dry down, which leans a lot more floral with the creamy chocolate orange accord only subtly piercing through, took me back to my days in Uni/College, when I was starting to build up my fragrance collection, figuring out what on earth a “Fragrantica” was and figuring out what fragrances worked for me and which didn’t (so many didn’t!!!) Honestly, there so many frustrating but funny memories on my fragrance journey!!!

I decluttered Boss Orange Sunset then because it had such poor performance and avoided Hugo Boss fragrances for years because of it. However, I still adored the scent and missed how beautiful the orange blended with the vanilla as it really felt like a fragrance appropriate for the sunset in the summertime and I remember Sienna Miller being the face of it back then too!

It’s just so amazing how one fragrance can take you back to an exact place and experience and even though this fragrance’s performance is subpar as I expected, I’m actually grateful that The Scent Private Acccord For Her does just that for me so for that alone, this fragrance is an absolute love ❤️.

Jooleek

Sooo pretty and sensual. It makes an inspired choice for winter and holidays because all it does is remind you of happiness, gifts, hugs and snowy winters. I wish it had a better performance but still, I might live with it since I like it so much.

Stoicchild

A very weak perfume that vanishes within 30 minutes. Salvatore Ferragamo Amo is WAY BETTER than this one in performance, it smells much nicer and long lasting. So is the dry down. Louise Turner makes poor perfumes that doesn't last long. I have noticed. They may open up very nice but eventually a waste of money and disappointment. $100 for a 100ml bottle that doesn't perform at all is just crap. Wonder why they used the 50 shades team to advertise this one. It's just a marketing strategy to sell poorly made perfumes for such money.

perfumeandorder

on me this behaves beautifully. I definitely have more of that orange and osmanthus mixed with a chocolatey background. I feel like it could be more gourmand but it works really well for me. Longevity is a solid 4 hours on skin - village is more or less at arms length however on clothes it lasts for a very long time.

silverma

On my clothes, I get more orange and cocoa, but on my skin it's just floral. Disappointed that the perfume is only floral on my skin. I was looking forward to more of that burst of citrus and then a chocolate scent.

keithscents

I hate the initial spray - it smells like alcohol mixed with cacao. I almost sold it but thought of giving it one more chance. I wore it today and I think it's just okay. The cacao note is strong, then the orange note comes after a few seconds. On my skin, the dry down is salty chocolate. On clothes, all I smell is the cacao. Projection and sillage are not that impressive too.

I don't hate it now like the first time, but definitely not a favorite. Not a safe blind buy. You have to really like cacao notes to love this.

Beware: I think this is not good for hot days.

Rating this 4.5/10

helga.sofia

When I first sprayed this in the store I loved it. It was citrusy and slightly gourmand but not very sweet. Perfect for a summer night out or day... since I love this kind of scent. The problem is that it does not last more than two hours and the dry down is this fake chocolate and coffee that I can not stand. It's a very artificial scent.

_D.a.p.h.n.e_

Straight up, mandarin orange dipped in chocolate. Delicious. Doesn't last on the skin as much as it does on clothes

bel.gravia

Gorgeous fruity chocolate!
Like dark milk chocolate with dried fruits and a good cupa coffee. I looove having chocolate and coffee in the morning. I thoroughly enjoy this scent. I bought it as I was on a chocolate perfume buying spree (looking at you Roses and Chocolate Montale & Oriflame Love Potion). No regrets, this perfume really delivers a soft in chatacter gourmand. Not intrusive at all, gentle with moderate longevity 4-5hrs.

cococonut

I think i should test again all perfumes i wasnt impressed with in the past, because so many perfumes i love now, were not a love at the first sniff. I liked this one. But it wasnt a "wow". Also the longevity was so bad, that i kind of promised myself i would never buy something like that. Because, for me, one of the most important things about the perfumes is the performance. But when i saw it yesterday in the store for half a price, i decided to give it a try even tho i already knew, i was going to be annoyed with the longevity. BUT! you guys.. first of all, it smells so delicious. Exactly like chocolate and mandarin. I spray mainly on my clothes and i could still smell it on my t-shirt this morning. On the skin, indeed, it lasts only for a few minutes. So, if you wanna buy this one, but hesitate because of its poor longevity, i recommend overspraying on your clothes.
Also, i really like the bottle and the cap that - ulike caps on some other perfumes - stays on. Not sure why is it so hard to make a good perfume cap. And we are not talking about cheap perfumes, but about brands like Mugler or Guerlain.

vanillaorchid

If you're looking for a realistic chocolate note in a fragrance, make sure you try this one. It's a very soft and pleasing fragrance with a slightly fruity opening and a floral heart. Even though cacao is listed as a base note, it will be noticed immediately and during the first few hours, not so much in the drydown. Tonka is so lovely here. If it were warmer, I'd like it more. Even though it's a gourmand, it's not a love for me, but I do strongly recommend it.

alejbvf

It’s a yummy smell... That’s all. It’s barely noticeable on my skin. Such a shame. The design of the bottle is captivating and delicious though.

Tomadeupjazz

Don't think I would want to repurchase this fragrance. The more I wear it the more I am over it. Just a cirtusy powdery cacao smelling fragrance with a little bit of a spice kick to it. I always layer this with something which lets me know its not an enjoyment but rather a "get throuh it" attitude. Longevity is absolute nothing really even on clothes for what this perfume costs. I would also only wear this in the fall and winter colder weather. I just don't even have much else to say about this except meh.

Felurian

I bought it today and have been wearing it for a few hours now. It is a lust at first sniff, the top notes really capture you, sweet cacao and subtle mandarin is very noticeable at first spray. HOWEVER, it is not a refined scent. It smells very very cheap and synthetic, too much of the alcohol/preservatives/chemicals come through and I have to leap for the cacao and barely there mandarin through a sea of synthetic chemical pollution.

It smells like all The Body Shop perfumes in the sense that it smells highly cheap, synthetic, artficial and diluted. Somewhat badly blended too or confused at best.

It has a weak longevity and little sillage. On my skin it lasted for about 2 hours and the dry down was a very artificial smelling vanilla. Cheap. This is not an expensive perfume but its highly overpriced for the quality.

I can understand the hype but its not for a refined nose. It might do better in cold weather. I am a lover of sweet, gourmand fragrances but i was struggling to catch it in Hugo Boss The Scent private accord. Way too artificial and diluted. It is a no for me and lesson learned: do not buy a new fragrance during mercury retrograde.

Hunnynpink

Powdery sweet coco/vanilla with a pleasant fruitiness. I pair this with my vanilla deodorant at bedtime and enjoy the light sweet scent of myself.

Duskfall

Different, slightly more substantial and frankly better than the original The Scent for Her (or The Scent for Her Intense). Both extremely sweet, but the OG/Intense is mostly peach, while Private Accord relies heavily on cacao. Unfortunately (in addition to sweetness) they share a relatively weak perfomance.

jdo323

I am v disappointed by this scent. One of my favorite YT reviewers recommended it so it was a blind buy. It smells extremely artificial and I can not stand it :/. 0/10 would recommend.

naja.z99

Love the opening: chocolate and orange. But it quickly dries down almost identical to Pink sugar on my skin...and it lasts way less time.. so not worth it in my opinion, just get Aquaolina Pink sugar and maybe layer it with a chocolate perfume/perfume oil

Emily254

I used to have this and I really loved it. The smell lasted on me for hours and I got a lot of compliments.
It smells like cacao, not milk chocolate, mixed with mandarin. The longevity is great, but the sillage reduces after a couple of hours.
But after having it for a full year I started to hate it. I don't know how, but to me it started smelling very medicinal and gave a huge headache whenever I wore it.

adelaidesandrina

the advertisement itself made me buy this perfume. andddd jeremyfragrance too 😂
anyways.. the perfume itself is very yummy. the chocolate/cacao smells like the chocolate you smell in scented pencils (e.g the ones from smiggle)
the orange is quite realistic imo, pure orange zest.
could’ve been an outstanding perfume if it weren’t for the WEAK sillage and longevity. the bottle itself is a stunner.
8/10 from me

unicajiha_01

It smells like a burnt chocolate coffee which is pleasant to my nose. Longevity and sillage is def weak. I like the opening especially the drydown. It's sweet yet has also some strong aroma on it. It's def for a sexy night with your man, I think men will like it. It's not overpowering like the other perfumes that I have. Just noticed I really hate the sprayer/nozzle, whenever I use it I feel like I there's too much liquid going out unlike the top end perfumes that I have.

kiraj717

Soft chocolate scent. Lacks silage and longevity but still very nice.

theuntrainednose

I have a decant (thanks SailorV)

---

This behaves completely differently if dabbed than if sprayed on my skin. I started by spraying and it was meh, disappointing. Then I decided to dab and it's much better and more interesting.

Dabbed:
Now finally I get the cocoa and the orange notes! Sprayed I got an overwhelmingly sweet tonka, but now when dabbed I do get the orange and cocoa and it's much more interesting and I finally like it :) It seems to lose intensity quickly, which is a shame.

Sprayed:
To be honest, as it starts it's overwhelmingly sweet for me and I did not enjoy it. As it dries out it quickly loses intensity and it becomes nicer, but then goes into a skin light veil of scent fast.

RSB28

I don’t see why Hugo boss doesn’t reformulate this considering it is infamous for its lack of longevity. If this had solid longevity, this would be 10/10 and I’m pretty sure most people would own it. Might just have to wear this in the summer in the hopes that the heat will amplify it.

LMC27

I got this really cheap (£10) from someone who didn’t like it. And I LOVE it! It’s warm, delicious chocolate.

Interestingly, I tried the tester in Boots and it smelt like self tan which was awful - I guess it must be the lights and heat affecting the fragrance because when I got my bottle, it was just as described here. I look forward to what this will smell like on me in the winter.

carofragance

i really like this fragrance, but the only negative side of this is the longevity is weak for the price that it costs

Sophiaalexa

Terrys chocolate orange. I'm afraid I didnt like this smell at all. Yummy smell, but I dislike eating citrusey chocolate, nevermind wearing it on my skin.

AlaskanAngel

I am constantly searching for chocolate and/or coffee scents and this was just another disappointment.

All I get in this, despite the huge hype (and marketing images of fruit dipped in chocolate), is mandarin with peaches (that's probably the artifical osmanthus), and some generic vanilla or sweet note along with a nondescript, white floral in the dry down. Not a hint of chocolate to be found! No coffee either. It's very much like a drugstore body spray; fruity, sweet, and sadly simplistic.

I just don't understand. Is it my biology (nose) or chemistry (skin) that keeps me from having the same fragrance experiences as most other people? And WHY DO I KEEP BLIND BUYING?!

M429g931

So I keep hearing that this smells just like oranges and chocolate and I think people just say that because it’s what everyone says. I can smell the cocoa, and the citrus for a split second. But I smell the floral and cocoa the most. This also is supposedly so sexy, which I don’t think it’s the sexiest perfume I own but it is pretty and it unique for sure.

Update: this has grown on me quite a lot. I find myself reaching in my cabinet just to smell it. Now that my nose is used to it, it absolutely smells like chocolate oranges and is very sexy. Sorry, no unique review here. This perfume is what it is.

Carlitagp99

It sounded like everything I would like in a fragrance, especially since I love most gourmands, but I can barely smell it after 10 minutes, and from what I could smell, it was very meh, nothing about it stands out.

ceeceelee

So, I've lived with the scent for a few weeks and I quite like it. Definitely sweet, which I have been enjoying my new found sweet/gourmand side. Very simple but the quality is there. It's well rounded and blended, nothing sharp. I do smell the orange but not in a Christmas chocolate orange kind of way, more just the citrus cutting through the thickness of the chocolate/coffee fugue. For me this is a quiet night in with my husband watching TV and me reading. Gentle, easy and comforting. Like Ellsa said below, it's clean not in a sporting way but in a sexy, creamy way. Other reviewers have noted that it has longevity issues and I find this to be true as well, but b of that it's not overwhelming. Subtle sweetness if you don't use a a heavy hand. Also, a bargain.

Ellsa

I love this perfume as most of the Hugo Boss perfumes. I think Hugo Boss perfumes are such good quality and way better than others that are more expensive. This fragrance is one of my favorites from everything I own and it makes me feel so beautiful and attractive when I use it. It’s sweet but doesn’t make me sick. I feel vanilla, a note of warmth cacao and just a little bit spicy, exactly as it should and tonka beans when it dries. For sure I don’t feel any mandarin in chocolate or orange and coffee, it just smells as I like a perfume to smell, sweet but clean ( in a fresh way but not sporty type) and sexy, not 50 ingredients mixed together and the result is something dirty, heavy and overwhelming that gives you nauseous. The longevity is good enough on my skin, the sillage is moderate.

Riskitallforhoseok

This is such a lovely gourmand fragrance. It very quickly became one of my favorites. Unfortunatey on me it only lasts for an hour max two.
I still love it tho, I carry it with me so I can reapply it. At least I get a chance to show off the beautiful bottle 😁

vkn1988

Reviewing for 3 chocolate fragrances below.

Hugo Boss Private Accord
First spray smells like semi sweet dark chocolate and oranges like other reviewers have mentioned. I wasn't a fan of osmanthus in Narcisco Rodriguez for her, but it works beautifully with the notes here for me. As it starts to dry down, it turns more into a milk chocolate. It smells sweet, feminine, and slightly fresh. I would wear this fragrance on a date or night out for sure because it's not as "warm and cozy" as the other chocolate fragrances I'm reviewing below. For a chocolate fragrance, I love this. I am 32 years old and prefer feminine fragrances. This scent is a happy medium for me. It's not "too mature" and it's not "too juvenile". The orange and osmanthus gives this chocolate scent a lil more depth, but it's not bizzare or intriguing. It's more on the safe side. Lasting power isn't that great tbh. However, I'll still be buying this.

Clinique Cocoa & Cashmere
First spray smells exactly like rubbing alcohol and then a warm, cottony, musky, milk chocolate comes through. It stays pretty linear throughout the whole wear. Lasting power is not as great either like HB Private Accord. I could probably wear this on a date night too. However, it gives me more of a netflix and chill vibe or snuggling up to a blanket by myself watching chick flix and eating ice cream. :P Not bad, I like it and am considering buying it. I want all of my linens to smell like this, haha. Edit: I prefer this dry down over the HB Private Accord, it's coming off more "optimistic" and younger. Def buying this.

Al Rehab - Choco Musk
Not a fan. This is extremely too sweet for my taste. For me, it smells like milk chocolate and incense. I don't mind incense, myrrh, or resinous notes as I love them in other fragrances I own. But the contrast of these notes in Choco Musk just doesn't work for me here as it's linear - like my nose picks up strong incense throughout the whole wear. This lasting power is a beast. It has lasted on my cardigan for 4 days straight.

JoanMichelle98

This perfume is the most unique I have in my collection. Ive seen it recently in a lot of perfume videos but never thought I would actually get it. The other day I was buying online and I impulsively got it (blind buy). This perfume is like being at a coffee shop mixed with bakery scents. I absolutely love it. I used it the other day for the office and I saw a few people wanting to get closer (that rarely happends) It lasted for a good 4 hours but I would reapply. Im a gourmand fan and this is so far the sweetest perfume Ive ever tried.

katheryne_art

When I tried this for the first time, it was way too much for me. I had to go and wash my hand as it was very strong and sickeningly sweet! This smells exactly like oranges and chocolate! However, even though they smell pretty natural, it also has a perfume quality to it, so it's not a true gourmand in my opinion. This definitely doesn't smell like Montale Chocolate Greddy. That one is very gourmand, edible, delicious and smells like true chocolate biscuits, like Oreos! The scent for her Private Acord is still too strong for me, it's syrupy sweet, so I will definitely not get a full bottle of it!

MissMordecai87

I had never heard of this (or the original), but the notes sounded awesome, so I did a blind buy from Mercari. I’ve been on a cacao kick lately - I absolutely looooooove Clinique’s “Cocoa & Cashmere,” but it’s basically a body spray in terms of staying power. My sister got a sample of Prada Candy Night (another cacao base) and hated it, so I gave it a try, and it’s kiiiinda good, but has a GROSS sharp bitter note in it that really ruins it (we thought maybe the neroli?), so I decided to continue my search.

Long story long, here we are, it just got delivered today. Since it was previously owned, I smelled the sprayer first and about screamed — it smelled EXACTLY like my end-all-be-all favorite cologne, Joop! Homme. Sweet and spicy and commanding. It has been on my wrist for about 2 hours now and is a beautiful warm spicy cacao. I absolutely love it. I just wish it wasn’t about to be April right now, because this is definitely a fall scent. Regardless, awesome blind buy, total winner.

sophie sanderson

Would I recommend any one buy this perfume no what people are saying about it is just blown out of proportion put it bluntly theres NO rich gourmande orangey or chocolate smell at all doesn't smell really sweet like a rich chocolate orange desert would there's really nothing appealing about it would I wear it no I don't think it's that good a perfume and won't be adding it to my perfume collection I wouldn't wear it don't think it smells nice enough I can think of better smelling perfumes that are nicer and lastonger that are not as high prices this is not worth the money people are paying for it save yr money buy some thing else ive got the original intense with peach in it and that's no better I don't really like that one either

nordic.girl

It's a good fragrance all in all, for the sweet and gourmand lovers out there, but it's been excessively hyped up by influencers, who describe it as being THE ultimate sexy seductive fragrance, figuratively comparing it to a mandarine dipped in hot chocolate.

While I do like the fragrance, I don't get compliments on this scent like I typically do for other gourmand fragrances with similar notes. Performance is considered to be absolutely poor by most people, but I personally find the longevity and sillage to be at least moderate in cold climates. Of course it's not exceptional, but decent for sure - provided that you spray a little more generously than you normally would with other more performing fragrances.

It is definitely a fall/winter scent, I wouldn't wear it in late spring or summer: while it stays close to the skin, it does have some minor projection, and while it's pleasant in cold temperatures, I can imagine it becoming too much and too sweet in the warmth. Overall it's not a scent to die for, granted. It's good and it makes you smell a little yummy, but not worth all the hype around it. I myself own a bottle because I found it heavily discounted, but then again I tend to wear more often other gourmand fragrances which garner more compliments, the most notable example being Good Girl by Carolina Herrera.

I find Private Accord easier to wear when I don't want to be noticed too much, or when it's not a particularly important occasion and I skip stronger options like my favorite Poison Girl by Dior or other powerhouses like Scandal by JPG, for instance. This one is more discreet, yet yummy and pleasant.

wookiesen

I bought this because i watched a Jeremy Fragrance video haha, and although I like it I do not agree with the description of the perfume. It doesn´t smell like chocolate, coffee or mandarin at all. Or maybe I am just ruined by bath powder because that´s exactly what it smells like. We have this cheap "chocolate" bath powder here in Sweden that you can get at any grocery store, and this is literary that powder in a bottle.
It is a clean smelling fragrance of synthetic cheap (but yet delicious) chocolate that barely is chocolate if that makes sense? Powdery but not as irritating as other powdery perfumes. It does however develop a little better in warm weather where it gives off a more white flower scent like the OG the scent for her.
It lasts very well on both skin and fabric! And I´d say it is kinda neutral but leaning towards a more feminine perfume.

xmikax

So I ordered this fragrance second hand. Had a feeling I may not like it, so I figured— why buy it new? (Maybe I should’ve, just so I could resell it easier. lol oh well). Anyways, this smells okay to me. I think I’m beginning to learn that I’m not much of a gourmand person. I love my JPG Classique, my Ariana Grande Cloud, Insolence EDT, Jadore, and Lolita Lempicka, so maybe I’m more of a floral person. Idk. Anyways like I said, this smells okay. It’s kinda dark but not too strong. It’s not something I want to keep sniffing. the only reason I keep smelling it is to convince myself that I at least like it— but I don’t. It’s not a bad scent, though. Just not my jam. Guess I don’t have the nose for it 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll keep it around just to train my nose, but I probably won’t hold onto it. I have it listed up on Mercari!

But on a good note, this is the best atomizer I’ve used so that’s a plus lol.

sweryn

Citrus fruit covered in soft milk chocolate! This smells yummy, however, it doesn't last long on the skin and the sillage is absolutely zero :( I wish Hugo Boss made better-performing perfumes, as it seems an issue with most of the perfumes I have sampled from them.

vifsongbird

I got a decant of this just to see what the hype was.

At first hit, you immediately get the cheap orange chocolate in your school's cafeteria. Then it immediately dissipates into a coffee cocoa delightfulness. A few minutes later, you're left with another vanilla-coffee-cocoa concoction that sits intimately on your skin.

I quite like this, but sadly it does not last and I cannot see myself buying a full bottle for its weak silage and longevity. Please sample this before buying.

RRHouse

Hugo Boss The Scent Private Accord opens with a piercing mandarin note that reminds me of Acora orange hard candy with a chewy center that I bought at my local drug store in middle school- 3 for a nickel, a sugary fake orange flavor. The orange/mandarin note is prominent (somewhat synthetic) over the next hour and the osmanthus is lingering in the background. Do I sense any warm smooth chocolate or cacao, no. Coffee? No. It's not an offensive orange scent, it's just average. I keep smelling my arm hoping I’ll smell warm smooth chocolate or anything remotely interesting. By the 3.5 hour mark, this has become a skin scent. I had my 4 teenage daughters (17-21 yo) do a scent-check at 4 hrs to confirm; they agreed, the fragrance had disappeared. A disappointment on both performance and lack of depth.
Rating: 4/10. The bottle is nice and the atomizer functions well.
Compliments: 2/10.
Projection: 3/10; Sillage: 3/10; Application: 6 atomizations
Performance: 3.5/10 I applied this heavy, and still no performance. This quickly became a skin scent and disappearing in 4 hours.
Gender: Female
Ages: 21+
Blind-Buy: No, sample it first.

pamplemousse2

Oh my gosh, this really does smell exactly like those chocolate oranges upon first spraying! It brought back memories of Christmas time in childhood. This is pretty sweet and I can smell it more strongly within 4" of my skin.

After a couple minutes it starts to become more creamy cocoa butter-y.

And after about only 10 minutes, it already is more a skin scent with very low projection and less strength than I'd expect for it being only 10 minutes. It's sweet, with the slightest hint of floral now. It's lost a tiny bit of the chocolate and most of the orange, too.

It is a very warm, comforting, and delicious scent, though. It may have changed scent and strength quickly, but I do keep going to my arm to smell it, especially right now when it's -3°F outside right now and chilly indoors. It's like smelling a nice warm creamy hot chocolate with a dash of orange in it. I do feel like I really have to smell for it though, and I had about 3 full sprays on each arm, so it shouldn't be that I didn't spray enough.

20 minutes later and I get whiffs here and there of the scent popping up, but still, it's light. There's more tonka and perhaps a hint coffee to it, where this is now more maybe like a very sweet and creamy warm vanilla latte.

And after 30 minutes, it's weird, one arm smells like warm creamy chocolate, and another arm smells a lot more floral. Not sure why the difference.

I also feel like every now and again, I get hints of Angel Muse, perhaps from the cacao and sweetness, or what some people say smells like Nutella. But it never fully smells like it.

I'll see how long this lasts. Hopefully the skin scent stays around for a while, and this is a delicious, though slightly disappointing in performance, gourmand.

2 hours later and it's become more faint. I actually got decent whiffs of this while I was moving around doing things and was a decently strong skin scent up until about the 1.5 hour mark. After that it started losing strength. It became slightly more bitter cacao, but still sweet.

At the 2.5 hour mark, it really lost strength, and at 3 hours, it's basically gone.

aeanian

So everyone is saying that this perfume smells like mandarin covered in chocolate and oh, I wish so much that to be true. Unfortunately I don't smell any citrus nor mandarin, let alone chocolate. Yes, this is a very sweet, gourmand scent, very pleasant for sure, but is it from the chocolate? I can smell mostly sugar, but not like the burnt sugar in Pink sugar by Aqualina, but rather very nice, tasty and yummy sugar. The scent is rather simple, from the beginning till the dry down it stays pretty much the same. So let's assume the sweetness comes from the cacao note. I don't detect any coffee per say. That being said I still love this perfume, except that it performs like EDT - it's so weak and not long lasting, makesme sad, because I really do enjoy and like it so much.
The bottle on the other hand is so right up my alley. It's simple, but different enough, timeless, classy, stylish, just great little gem. I love the design so much. And I wish this scent was stronger and long lasting. The price is quite high for such a weak silage of the fragrance. But I still love it. If you wear sweet, gourmand perfumes, you will definitely like this one. Yes, it's not complicated, but sometimes less is more.

Krista

It is a lovely scent, smells like chocolate covered mandarins. A Christmassy scent. Was a blind buy, but fairly successful, I enjoy it a lot.
As everyone says, longevity is a problem, it's gone in three hours, so I just like putting it on before going to bed.
Won't repurchase though, unless I get a good discount.

Boscard

Very weak performance, I just can’t believe some people said they have 4 hours not true. Is a nice scented but not worthy. Smells alcohol too .

ingeneuxo

-Beautiful scent.
-Its such a shame this turns to skin scent once it settles.
-Projection: Low. We're talking zilch.
-Longevity: Low. Lasts 1-2 hours as a skin scent.
-Not fbw. (-)

icollectfragrance

I love the scent - chocolate covered orange. Too bad performance is weak.

KindnessBoo

This scent is a close to the skin intimate type of scent. I really wish the projection and silage was better. I’m considering selling mine but it keeps drawing me back in. If you’re looking for a long lasting intimate scent a like the notes, you’ll probably enjoy this. It’s not a love for me but I am enjoying it, and you will enjoy it more if you don’t pay full price.

idateresa728

Ok, I must have gotten a fake.. I do not smell chocolate , i smell a freshness mixed with alchohol and i hate this, if this is real then this is not worth the hype in my opinion! worse blind buy for me!

AlexandraTroush

Whoa! I wasn't too impressed with the opening, but the dry-down is seriously hypnotizing! I keep getting whiffs of it from my arm (6 hours after the initial spray!) and every time I'm delighted. It's delicious and juicy at the same time. Seriously mouthwatering.

This isn't anything to wear to the opera, but it's really comforting and joyous to wear to lift one's spirit (especially with all of my exams going on). I might have to buy a full bottle once I'm done with my sample!

edit: not even a week after finishing my sample, I saw a 30ml bottle for a really good price online and had to get it. This is fate! :)

zelelipe

I love this! Initially I get a bright, inviting orange which is softened by the cacao and tonka. It's sweet and feminine and mixes well with other fragrances. Because this is light I find it to be a good scent for pretty much any weather or occasion. It's not a heavy hitter and will not project too far, however this lasts on me until I shower it off my skin (around 9+ hours of wear). Yes, most of the time it's a skin scent, but it's a really sweet and enjoyable one. Easy to wear and inoffensive!

The only negatives I have to say are that on me the orange is very dominant and after a while it does start to smell slightly synthetic, although I still enjoy it.

The bottle is really nice too!

Mirella86

This is indeed reminiscent of Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotions, except those are a little bit more cloying, but also stronger. This one seems like a slightly refined version of those, like Palmer would decide to make a perfume based on the lotions. However, is extremely average and, as a gourmand lover, I expected a more refined scent, more elegant vanilla and cocoa. Maybe it would be better appreciated by a younger crowd, thinking about girls aged 16-22 years old.
I also blind-bought it because they were raving about it on YouTube, this should teach me a lesson to test first, glad I only bought a 30ml bottle and it was also not very expensive. Doesn't remind me too much of the original or the Intense version.

jujucherry

This fragrance is like a lindt intense orange with dark chocolate bar so delicious and cozy. It's heaven for gourmand lovers. Cocoa and mandarin are the most prominent notes on my skin there is a hint of coffee too and after a few minutes I get this fruity note which I think is the osmanthus. It pairs beautifully with other tonka bean based fragrances I like to layer it with tonka imperial from guerlain and bois dore by van cleef ❤

LuckyMommy

I love The Scent line from Hugo Boss, I want all of them.
This one is sweet orange, cocoa and a hint of coffee, just lovely.
The only negative is that it doesn’t last that long, just okey. I get 4-5 hours and that’s not bad, just spray hair and clothes to.
It’s a easy reach, a warm and cozy gourmand fragrance.

nirvana6

Fantastic fragrance. You can smell dark chocolate and mandarin, but not in a sweet way. It has not a strong projection, it's more like a skin scent. It makes me feel cozy and relaxed. Because it's not too strong I think it's appropriate for the office too. Fortunately, its different from what it's done this days. It's easy to reach when a want to put on a scent and go, without thinking too much, but you don't want a fresh clean scent. If you like beast mode scents, then this one it's not for you. I would say it's a soft, not sweet, cozy gourmand.

edelberry

The opening is delicious: sweet tonka bean, candied mandarin and a prominent, bitter cacao powder with a faint trace of coffee. What you see in the notes is what you get... but for how long? The cacao completely evaporated from my skin after 10 minutes, leaving behind an artificial, play-doh-y note. It's a shame this one didn't play well on my skin, because I really had high hopes for The Scent Private Accord. It's lovely, but not for me. If you're considering getting this, I would strongly suggest trying it in store or getting a sample first.

And so the hunt for a great chocolate fragrance continues...

Fraghag7

I love this perfume! As another review mentioned this does actually smell like palmer's cocoa butter with some added mandarin but it still smells lovely to me! When I purchased this i expected to literally smell chocolate and orange but it's more like you open up one of those candy oranges they sell around the holidays. Yes it is a gourmand scent but it still smells like a hugo scent of that makes sense.

This scent is a juicy orange being peeled next to a mocha latte by someone wearing hugo perfume (hope that gives a better description). I would say this is a medium dark fragrance, not dark or deep like carolina herrera but it does have some depth and probably most appreciated during cooler weather. I own this and the scent absolute and they're both divine. I feel so confident, sexy and delicious when I wear them even if people can hardly smell me. Both of them do turn into a skin Scent after an hour so I recommend spraying on clothes.

I would say this is a safe blind buy for someone who appreciates unique scents and likes gourmand fragrances. I strongly dislike celebrity perfumes but this gives me similar vibes to Brittany Spears Private show although they smell nothing alike.

Lixa

Yes, I've heard about this one too, so I was very curious. Upon first test, I like it. It's pleasant, orange-y and chocolate-y. I usually dislike citrus in perfumes, and I'm not into gourmands. But this is good; great in cold weather. Can't say anything about the performance yet, I will test it again. If it holds, I might buy it. The only downside is the price (through the roof in Europe).
And btw, you can't buy a scent just because some guy on youtube likes it. So what? It's YOU who has to like it, so try it first!

Update: I bought a bottle on sale (and it is STILL damn expensive). Unfortunately the staying power is dismal, and the orange note dissapears right away. Will not buy again

Coquita

The opening smells strongly of bitter cocoa powder and mandarin, but it soon drifts to coffee and tonka, where it stays for the rest of the duration. Unfortunately, these two notes are screechy on my skin, so I'll have to pass, but it could work for someone else as an autumn/winter nights' frag. Sillage is moderate and, so far, I've been wearing this for 4 h, and it doesn't seem to be getting any shyer.

Hd_Diana

I love the smell but sadly it doesn’t last long, it disappears completely after an hour or two, no dry down. It doesn’t bother me to reapply often during the day because the smell is delicious. It stays the same for the entire duration, the whole two-hour:) This is a lovely combination of orange and cocoa and to my nose a unique one. If this perfume had longevity....

gospogjicata

I bought this because of Youtube reviews and it was on sale, and I got a pretty good deal for it. Love this gourmand scent, I can smell all the notes above. On my skin it has fairly good preformance and it's long lasting.
It's a pretty good smell for fall/winter season and I love the chocolatey smell of this. It reminds me of a candy that I used to eat as a kid, Jaffa, a chocate-orange candy which smells so comforting.
Would buy this again for sure.

Abbster822

I blind bought this and it is a NO for me. I listened to many Youtuber raves about this one and I just say no. Perhaps it is because of the vanilla scent? It smells very synthetic and cheap. I prefer spicy, clean scents, but wanted to try something more gourmand and this ain't it. I agree with the comment that it smells like Palmer's with some sugary notes. I did not even smell the orange in this.

bibilia

Reminds me of the original Palmer's cocoa butter...the drugstore body lotion...with a bit sweetness. Yep, thats it!

I bought mine without trying it first, now I regret it. Just because that guy on youtube keep talking about it. Not only last only an hour, the smell also just..meh, makes me think that If I want to smell like this plain, I should just buy that Palmer's cocoa butter. Alot cheaper and last alot longer...

zestybloom

As a lot of people I ordered this from YouTube recommendations, and was expecting something so different, when I first smelled this I was so disappointed I was expecting this rich orange chocolate smell and it goes on with almost no smell at first you get this super blast of sweet almost Juicy Couture perfume Carmel smell, I kept trying to smell orange and chocolate but nothing but a sheer sweet Carmel, about 10 min later I smelled a bit of a soft orange smell but faint and for me I don't get any chocolate
I think what's happening with this sent is most people expected to smell this strong chocolate orange sent and its not that at all,
I asked my son what he thought of the sent and he said I really like that a lot, I have been on a perfume obsession and ask him about all the scents I put on and this is the first one he said he really liked,
The weird thing about this scent is it develops over time and gets stronger and you start to understand the scent
Its soft very pretty nothing complex but just a sexy sent you want to get near, nothing obnoxious or cloying, at first I thought I waisted my money but now I'm really happy I have this in my collection I cant stop smelling my arm I'm enjoying it a lot

Hariklia

A sophisticated version of Pink Sugar.

JustDana

Edit: forget most of what I wrote below, I mean I guess it’s still true but for some reason this is one of those ones you keep reaching for and you don’t know why...it has grown on me quite a bit and my favorite way to wear it is with this sprayed on the top part of my wrist along with Prada Candy Night (yummy cacao) sprayed on the underside of my wrist...they both stay separate but if you flip ur wrist quickly back and forth it smells divine!

Holy! So on the same page with Mermaid and Cobra below me. I adore chocolate and even chocolate and fruit. On paper this was a dream scent that I convinced myself from these reviews that I would at the very least just kind of like, never thought I could actually dislike it. So blind buy I did. Ripped it open and sprayed and that dreaded oh no I effed up feeling washed over me. Paid over $60 for something I don’t even like, and I’ve tried really hard to like it. Problem is the notes are powdery, which still seems like a weird descriptor because I love powder in my perfumes...but I can’t think of a better word to describe the way the chocolate and orange are in this one. It’s like their a perfumey version of their actual selves but then also covered in some cheap dollar store musky powdery spray. I just don’t get it, there’s absolutely zero depth or richness. I love high end, niche all the way down to the cheap celeb scents, if I like it then I like it, who cares the price or stigma attached, so it’s not that I’m saying it smells too cheap for me or something...it’s just, really not good. Dang it you guys who steered me into this one! I wish I could experience it as you have! Up it goes for sale.
PS....I have come to fall in love with Prada’s Candy Night. It is an amazing perfect chocolate/cacao scent. I hated it when I sampled in store but I got a small sample from Sephora and came to adore it! You have to wait for the dry down, but if you want a realistic with a tiny bit of cocoa powder scent then try Candy Night...then maybe layer an orange or fruit scent on top to get the same effect as what this perfume should have been!

LucumaScent

I bought it last week after reading and watching tons of reviews and I'm not dissapointed at all!
I love sweet gourmand perfumes and these beautiful chocolate/mandarine notes remind me of bitter chocolate-orange cookies that are my favorite.
My boyfriend told me that he could smell that Hugo Boss Bottled DNA, but sweet... and for woman... and as a dessert lol!
Maybe the sillage is not that strong, but I prefer it that way. It's the kind of fragrance that you want others to smell while hugging you.
Love it!

catswearingperfume

I love chocolate notes in a fragrance, and the idea of chocolate and orange together sounded very appealing. So I got a decant, and...I do not like this one bit.

Sure, the chocolate and the orange are both there. But they're super synthetic and sickly sweet, and accompanied by a powdery musk and a saccharine tonka that actually made my stomach turn — not a common reaction for me. The whole thing just comes together in a way I truly don't enjoy. And to think I almost blind bought this!

There isn't a lot of longevity or sillage here either, and for once, I was happy about that. It was easy to wash off. Not a safe blind buy. On paper, I really should have liked this.

mermaidshimmer

I bought this for the scent of chocolate oranges. Indeed these notes are there...but this is a powdery version of those notes... a faint skin scent that won't project beyond 2 feet. And with the mask requirements of our COVID-19 times, no one will smell this on you.

However, this is pleasant and nice for working from home, while on the computer, like me...the cacao and coffee are most prominent. The orange is not sharp or tangy. The citrus is more of the whisper of rind on your breath. The hint of a shaved peeling.

This lasts much longer on clothing than on your skin. If you want a non-offensive fragrance, this would qualify.

Amberdunn

It did not work for me. smells beautiful but the longevity is heartbreaking... Rather get it on sale then you wont feel ripped off overall. But it smells lovely for a moment.

LenaM

Warm milk with a hint of peach and a lot of sugar. Very comforting, but also very artificial. Sweet, syrupy and thick, like condensed milk.

plum

I absolutely agree with the comment below!
My neighbour smelt delicious, I asked what it was: Hugo Boss, The Scent. Ok!
I was in the town today so popped into a perfume shop. No testers, but I was offered Private Accord and another flanker. Left with 2 perfumed cards.
As I was wearing a mask, I was able to sniff it at home. First thought: it is Far Away Rebel, the same Far Away peach plus toffee... than, no, it is Avon Soft Musk Delice. Yes, Soft Musk is probably a copy of this one. I bought it blindy after reading fantastic reviews and resold just after one spray.
I dislike Private Accord too. I find it cheap and tacky. Sweet but in bad way. I am surprised by such high notes here.
Hugo was never my boss, I just disliked their fragrances, this one only prooves it.
I am not a hater, I rarely have such negative opinion, I always try to find something nice in the fragrance, I like it or I am just not bothered, but this one is just a big no from me. If someone below called it a night time perfume, I would not probably get a wink of sleep!

fonty_o

The first perfume out of my 50+ collection that I got rid of! I love cocoa. I love chocolate. I love orange. I love chocolate orange. But this was just a no no.
This is fake, powdery cocoa with fake orange.
All the online reviews said this smelled so yummy and realistic, so I didn't hesitate to blind buy it! I am a gourmand fanatic!
This was/is one of the least appealing fragrances I've smelled in a long time.
I get the appeal - it's chocolate orange. But it's not creamy, sweet delicious choc orange like I expected. It's powdery, fake orange cocoa powder.
Even my hubby, who is addicted to choc orange everything - disliked it.
As for lasting power, this lasted 4+ hours on my skin, I ended up washing it off and could still smell it.
I ended up swapping it on FB Marketplace.
It's a pity because damn the bottle is gorgeous!!!

Duft Liebe

My perfect good-night-sleep-scent. Love it.

JolieSucre

Blind buy because of the YouTube hype. Everyone who sniffed this on me loved it, even long after I had stopped feeling it. To me, it disappears quite quickly even if it does come off as strong, but others can still feel it, so perhaps it depends on the person.

Very linear fragrance, the main notes that come out and are there to stay are dark cocoa paste (dark chocolate, without milk) and tangerine/mandarin (a bit sweeter and more aromatic than orange). In the drydown, I also detect a bit of tuberose, but nothing significant - the chocolaty note stays equally powerful throughout its lasting power, together with the mandarin. Nothing else, unfortunately.

Perhaps it could easily be replicated by a Chocolate/Cocoa linear perfume, like the Library of Fragrance/Demeter ones, if you top it with something citrusy. Otherwise, to me this is not worth buying particularly as it is also expensive. Unless you absolutely love it, I don't see the point, it is nothing special.

I actually find it quite simple and even childish, like the notes were put together in a sample test lab by a trainee parfumeur who just wanted to see what chocolate and tangerine would smell like meshed together. Exactly what a review below said - this smells like Jaffa cakes taste.

The bottle is beautiful indeed, a heavy nice-shaped glass flacon with the bevelled golden cap, it looks pretty on any vanity and is easy to carry around.

rola.asad

for me, it's pure cacao, it's a lovely scent to smell when someone enters the kitchen or maybe cooking a dessert, but not as a perfume, unless it's used for layering!!

In the dry down, it gets sweeter, with moderate longevity.

AeroAle

Blind buy, smells extremely fake.

mariahnotcarey

This is my favorite scent I own at the moment. I have loved Terry's chocolate oranges since I can remember - they are only available in the winter time in my town and this perfume makes me feel so cozy. Anyway, the review!

This is just gorgeous. After a few hours I can still smell the orange on my skin, not just the cacao, and I think the osmanthus and coffee also pull through quite nicely. I have the original and while I enjoy it, this is deeper and more comforting to me. It's soft but seductive and that is my favorite kind of perfume. I just love it. Longevity and sillage could be improved a bit. I only get about 5-6 hours max, but this doesn't sway my opinion because it still makes my mouth water. My husband loves this as well and gets so excited when he sees me pick this up to wear.

I can't get over how much I love this. Thank you, HB!!

ETA: the atomizer on this is also amazing...the spray is so fine.

lavender_wind.

Agree with Trang.nnt and jcqmc below. Bought it because of Jeremy from Youtube. I think that this perfume smells better on cotton fabrics, giving a complex, refreshing mandarin and fruity scent. However, the dry down is a bit sickening sweet and smells a little cheap in my opinion. Sorry Jeremy.

Trang.nnt

I like the initial spray of this perfume because it's a very lovely chocolate scent without being too childish. Delicious cacao with a hint of orange, I was very excited for this perfume. However, the lasting power of this perfume is absolutely horrible. The initial chocolate fades away after 30 minutes and left on my skin a generic sweet smell. Poor sillage, poor performance, what a shame.

Get this perfume if you are willing to re-apply it every hour or two.

Duft Liebe

I am obsessed with it. And in winter I will adore it even more, I guess.

It might be not the most complex formula, but just with this delicious sweet cacao I am more than happy.

And I have to admit : Jeremy´s recommendation. Yes, he made me try and buy it.

kittymoon

It's nice, but I wouldn't run out to get it. Like others mentioned it smells mainly like a chocolate orange. It doesn't last long on me at all, maybe 2h and it has little sillage. The vibe is a bit cheap (could be a drugstore body spray) and it has a slightly dated feel to it. Not exactly young and vibrant, more edible and cozy which is not necessarily a bad thing ;) It reminds me of Good Girl without the spices and edge, like Good Girl wrapped in a cotton pad.

blond.coconut

This is so far, hands down, my favorite scent. I smell a sugary chocolaty mandarin orange (no coffee), and although one might think that would be a girly scent, it's not, it's grown-up. I wouldn't wear it in the summer though, it belongs more to the winter. The only thing that could be better is the longevity and the silage, but I did get complimented wearing it, so perhaps it's just my nose.

dglightblue

This smells how an orange Jaffa candy tastes, but it's not 'lolly' smelling. Mostly linear.

I have a couple other cacao scents and I dont reach for them but this one the cacao and orange are right there.

Very nice scent, the sweetness increases slightly in dry down, though it retains the choco orange thing. I like it

Namra

The smell is divine! I wish it lasted longer...it lasts about 30 minutes or maximum maximum 1 hour and even during this period no one can detect this on you, not even you. Whether you wear perfumes to get a private experience for you (smell the scent on you) or to get compliments from other, neither of these is gonna happen with this one. So disappointed!😔

Scentra

I’m not really a fan of orange in perfume, but this one really smells divine, with the cocoa- coffe-tonka and osmanthus flower combo. I love it.

perfumeaddict97

The main notes I smell in this perfume are chocolate and mandarin/ orange, although the mandarin/orange notes are not too citrusy or sharp at all in this perfume. This is a sweet and soft fragrance, with a hint of fresh. It has something in the scent that reminds of the original "The scent" from this brand. It's one of the best fragrances I have tried, and although I do not own it yet,( I have tried it from my sister), I definitey need it in my collection. Its sweetness is just right btw and it can be a perfect perfume to wear on a daily basis, like especially to work, etc. To me this is considered a sexy (but still appropriate for every day wear) fragrance, and it's even worth a blind buy or to buy as a gift for someone.

UniProcrastinator

I just received it from the mail. The package is not extravagant but very pretty. The bottle is equally as nice.

Upon spraying it, I noticed that the smell is quite weak and doesn't last long. The smell itself isn't complicated, which I like. Furthermore, it's not that feminine, which I also like (definitely not a flowery fragrance). It's quite unique, in my opinion. It has both a sensual and mature scent.

As a coffee, dark chocolate lover, I love it.

CurlyTabby

Yes the longevity is trash. But this scent is truly delicious. You’re probably wondering if you really wanna smell like chocolate and oranges. After smelling this, yes... I know I do. And I don’t even like orange chocolate. This reminds me of a strange combination I enjoyed as a teen. I would love to snack on Nutella on toast, but with a nice tall glass of orange juice. This takes me back to that memory. Sweet chocolate goodness with a nice refreshing tarty twist.

If you’re like me then you probably have some perfumes that you love but have terrible longevity. To me, this is worth spraying over and over. Just so I can close my eyes and enjoy that beautiful opening. There’s nothing out there that smells like this! So what if it’s not a beast mode scent? Not all perfumes have to be. Sometimes you just wanna smell like Nutella and oranges for a hour and then move on. Nothing wrong with that.

MariaMy

Hello 👋🏻 lovelies

This is easy to summarise
The opening 6/10 smells like you are holding dark chocolate 🍫 in one hand & Sweet orange 🍊 in the other

The mid Dry down starts to smoke -aromatic like the taste of Greek sweet bread called Tsoureki where mahalepi is used as the main flavouring
6.9/10

Dry down : Smells like a similar vibe to Pink Sugar if it was stronger with chocolate added to it
7.9/10

Worth the money?
Wait for a sale

Happy hunting

Allisonmsmith22

I wasn't expecting this to be so sweet. The word sweet is so subjective but if you've ever experienced Aquolina Pink Sugar, you will understand this level of sweet.

I wanted to try more fragrances with chocolate after falling in love with Madonna's Truth or Dare Naked but this pales in comparison. This is like the 10 year old sister to Truth or Dare Naked. The chocolate and orange are subtle. It's a very simple, linear candy fragrance.

codymarieb

This is a delicious, edible seductive scent with a simple non-complex DNA. It’s good enough to eat, smells just like chocolate and oranges with some perfume-eqsue nuances.

My only complaint is longevity. I won't be keeping it as I can hardly smell it on myself 20 minutes after spraying. Incredibly light. If they came up with an intense version, I’d love it.

saman_812001

I just bought it today. I love the warm sweet tasty scent. I want to smell it all the time. It s one of my favourite smell. Does not last long at all on my skin and I have to spray every half an hour. Not sexy but friendly and warm scent of cacao and honey.

artsyfartsyhaha

LOVE! sweet juicy orange smell. the chocolate disappears so i recommend layering with the geneva chocolate from be layered. perfect

tonkabeannie

This fragrance is not bad at all. I enjoy it quite a bit honestly. But, that being said, it does not do much for me. I like my fragrances to scream "expensive" "decadent" "seductive" etc...and this just doesn't do that. To me, this smells like a chocolate version of Pink Sugar. If you don't like how sweet Pink Sugar is, you should give this a try. It's more rounded out and a lot darker because of the chocolate. It's a pretty nice, cheap gourmand. Besides that, I don't think it's something worth reaching for, for me. I might use this as a bedtime fragrance or a room spray or something. But as far as this matching my vibe and personality, this just isn't it. I would consider this a safe blind buy though, for those who are still interested in it or would want to gift it to someone. It's pretty inexpensive too, which is a bonus.

WildDove

Private Accord is a very syrupy sweet fragrance. Makes me think of a chocolate Pink Sugar. The note impression I get is (in order): chocolate-cocoa, raspberry, liqueur, hazelnuts, vanilla, caramel, with a little coffee, orange, and amber. Extremely sweet and a bit plasticky. Possibly the sweetest fragrance I've ever smelled.

auroramaria

In my opinion this version is the best one in the line.Chocolate and orange go hand in hand and complement each other beautifully making the scent sexy and feminine lasts a fair amount of time too

roseyessence

One of my many blind buys, and oh I love it.

Nijntje

The opening was a bit confusing, but this scent is growing on me. Sweet, tart and uncomplicated, it's now lovely and warm on my skin, but it took an hour. Definitely a winter scent, picture cozying up before the fire. It's comforting, but also quite chic, so this is versatile enough to be worn to the office Christmas party.

Good enough to eat, so maybe don't wear this on a diet, or you'll be munching on Mars bars and toffees in no time. My boyfriend wasn't much of a fan when he smelled it (5 minutes after spraying) because he doesn't understand why anyone would want to smell like a vanilla-chocolate bar. There's more to the scent though. Warm spices and a hint of soap make it interesting. I'm holding on to this and will try it again in the fall.

agate.ne

I was promised of gourmet chocolate scent and it delivers! Already love me some gourmand scent and this fragrance will be a real nice addition to my collection.

Sillage is heavy, I love it. I imagine it'll do well in night occasion. I think it'll fit best for winter and fall, but chocolate is chocolate and I guess people crave for it year-round?

Kinda reminds me of chocolate treat that I liked when I was young too. I think this fragrance just starts my hunt for similar scent, chocolate/vanilla kind of scent.

Update: this scent turned real sexy real quick (and my ignorant ass thought that it was all about cacao scent). My sexiest fragrance till this day, along with Elie Saab Le Parfum in White.

artsyfartsyhaha

bought this after watching Jeremy Fragrance-

Alot of fragrances dry down too heavy and sickly sweet on me- this has a alittle of that but on clothes it maintains the beautiful light orange smell!! LOVE IT

darbyki18.1

Blind buy chronicles: I bought this as it was recommended as a date night scent. At the opening I got some orange and cocoa notes, but then it quickly dried down to a burnt sugar smell, very reminiscent of pink sugar or my memories of it. It just might be too sweet for me in the warmer months, but will enjoy it on cool nights. I've never tried a hugo boss scent.

Emjokuh

It's so incredibly sexy and delicious. I was recommended it by a fellow fraghead at work, so I was walking through the airport and finally smelled it in a duty free shop. I sprayed it on my finger and couldn't stop smelling my finger all day, it was intoxicating. And I was under the impression that it lasted really well.

Well it lasts a long time, yes, but this would k i l l if it had some sillage to it. Of which it has very little. But I still love it. There's something about it, something so sexual about it, I'm a little embarrassed to wear it out much yet. I would wear it year round because it's a bomb but obviously it's more a cool weather scent.

hypnoticpotion

The smell itself is delicious, mandarin dipped in dark chocolate. But the longevity is so poor and it disappears on your skin after about an hour, not even a skin scent, literally just nothing!

if they brought this back with better longevity and more potent I will 100% buy!!

warmthbbz

I love it but not for me. It tends to give me a headache when applied to me but on friends, it smells to die for!

dglightblue

Choc orange, a bit lighter feel, coco powder edges, I like this also, I've tried most of the line.
Warm cool powder milk choc plus background

Sherine777

I had high hopes for this one.. Luckily didn't blind buy and tried it as I'm not really into Boss..

It could be my chemistry, but this is straight up Cocoa powder on me, like you spilled Cocoa all over while baking a chocolate cake.. Didn't like it and it didn't last much either.

I love many Louise Turner's perfumes, but this one is a pass for me.

gelkita

Nice orange cocoa opening but so short lived (3 min !) then nothing ! Not even a skin scent... all I could smell was my bare skin 🤯

Don’t be fooled, ask for a vial !

jellybeantree

This is a great versatile day to night fragrance. I think wearable in all seasons as well . Sweet but not sickly sweet and fruity as well . I have never owned hugo boss and I'm happy I tried this one .

alit

I am so happy I blind bought this, it is a gorgeous gourmand, but not the heavy weird one, very wearable and yummy! I don't get much of the cocoa/chocolate notes, only in the beginning I feel this minty flavored type of chocolate and soon after caramelized oranges and vanilla. There is a playful fruitty bubblegum feel to it that I really love and makes for lightening up the sugary sweetness of the oranges. Warm and sensual, I see this best fit in winter/spring/fall, will see how it wears in Summer. Very well done, Boss, and the price is great for what you get. Decent longevity of 8-10 hours, stays closer like a skin scent after the 4th hour

arenee92

I blind bought this after seeing Jeremy Fragrance on YouTube review it. Seemed like it was a little out of my comfort zone but still familar with the sweet chocolate notes. I was so excited to get home and smell this and it did not disappoint! Just smelling the sprayer I knew I did good with this!

The opening is such a fun concoction of juicy mandarin and rich tonka. As it starts to settle, the warm, yummy chocolate note seeps through. This is so yummy and sexy! The dry down is warm powdery cocoa. I suppose this could be unisex but I definitely find this more feminine! Very happy with this purchase.

Calinare

I.. have no idea why the notes make it seem generic yet it smells so unique. It's chocolatey, yeah. But it doesn't smell earthy. It's smoky, but not too dark. It's citrusy, but not too sharp either. Surprising fact that it's not really sweet, but rather fresh and crisp, but not masculine. While it DOES have a little vibe of the BO and all other similar fragrances, this one is very wearable anywhere, any season, anytime. Downside is, it has mediocre performance in longevity and sillage. But hey! This can be a safe gift too :D

imoore

I think the idea with this flopp was to have an everyday winter scent for office wear next to the original The Scent For Her. I have both and happy with them. This one is Ideal in minus whatever outside as well as in overheated dry office spaces, and the original is perfect for 30+ outside and over airconditioned office with no moisture in the air.

Lučanská

I tested this scent today and at first it presents a strong alcohol smell that follows up with the cocoa and then vanilla which is a very different deep, warm intoxicating smell. Unique and a definite compliment getter.

Neckromancer

At first this smells like dark chocolate filled with orange jelly (a dessert probably more popular in Europe). I usually hate cocoa in scents because it can get fecal (in my opinion), but that doesn't happen here. The chocolate smells more dry and powdery. Later on, it literally just becomes Jessica Simpson's Fancy, but better quality. I personally really like it. It's light enough to wear to work...sillage is very very minimal. Lasting power is around 3 hours.

si0ux

Mmmm, complex, sexy and gourmand. This one's a real man-killer. It smells like spicy, zesty chocolate. I wouldn't recommend more than a spritz of this. I also get the peachy osmanthus. I feel like it oscillates amongst an array of scents. There seems to be an extra note in there that I can't place, which is the spice that I'm getting.

Sirila

Very yummy chocolate and mandarine scent. To me it is both a daytime and evening scent, since it is both light and playful and cozy. I find it great for the colder months when I tend to be drawn to all things that spread warmth, however I think it might work in summer as well the way some milky, creamy scents work well on skin warm from the sun. I need to try. I like the bottle as well, simple but beautiful. I do wish for a more detectable dry down, I was really looking forward to it after the marvellous chocolaty and juicy opening, but it was not really there. For evenings winter time I prefer The Scent Absolute, which is more mature, darker, deeper and more calming (plus it lasts longer on the skin with a nice and lasting dry down).

EgliteDazzo

Very warm, smells of coffee and chocolate. For me, one to two sprays max otherwise goes overwhelmingly sweet. Lasts a while on me as well.

Miyami

If they could reformulate it to have a better lasting longevity it would be on top of my list for Fall scents .. It's a delicious chocolate covered mandarin that's warm and beautiful .. unfortunately it lasts for less than an hour :(

dglightblue

Private accord.

I agree with the accord listed.

Cocoa, dusky, little sweet, touch of powder, the notes blend very well, overall a warm sweet scent, not a floral sweet, not a gourmand per se.

It’s lasting well, the sillage has the hot chocolate/cocoa scent.

Much better rendition of these notes than paco rabanne black xs

aldinatic

Delicious chocolate and maybe incense .. it makes such a good mood.. the absolute version is more feminine I think... :) and too overwhelming...

Palmer Eldritch

Ugh the opening to this fragrance is so friggin' scrumptious
A darn...delicious...chocolate covered mandarin...

BUT TOO BAD IT DOESN'T LAST LONG! I have tried this scent on a course of 3 days and it has severely disappointed me.

That delicious choco/mandarin opening lasts for about 30 minutes on my skin before becoming something like sweat. Every, single, time when I spray this onto clean skin I'm hopeful...

BUT IT SMELLS LIKE SWEAT!!! I believe it's probably the osmanthus flower as kimonathe by diptyque smelled like sweat & pee on my skin too!

This is a huge no from me. This fragrance would be perfect if there was better performance and a different floral combo without osmanthus.

HappyShopper123

Orange segments dipped in chocolate. Rich, warming and elegant, this is the first Hugo Boss fragrance I've really liked. Only moderate sillage but good longevity (a good 8 hours on me), once I've used my sample I'll be buying a full bottle!

jinglebells

Initial spray was a bitter orange flavoured dark chocolate powder thrown at my face, I couldn't decide if I liked the top notes or not because something in it gave me indolic vibes (osmanthus???). The longevity was terrible and after 10 minutes of the orange it died down to a pink sugar skin scent.
I layered it with Al rehab's choco musk oil and it did increase the longevity and silage, but this is just not for me, I forced myself to try it so many times in the hot and cold weather, just a pass for me.
First 10 minutes was interesting if you like that kind of smell, but after that it's nothing special. definitely a try before you buy!

Ella_CaMar

The first time I smelled this gem I instantly thought it smelled like a delicious cherry dipped in dark chocolate. My nose wasn't spot on there but I love the combination of the warm, rich, dark chocolate and the mandarin orange/apricot fruitiness. It's still not too sweet and I've been told it smells delicious and sophisticated. So cozy to wear in the colder weather. Recommend!

TheCandyperfumegirl

I love all the notes in this Perfume so, I was sure that I'm going to love this Perfume even before I decided to purchase it 😝 And it didn't disappoint me. This Perfume is really chocolatey and juicy and if you're a sweet Perfume lover you'll love it too. It's more like a linear Perfume to be honest. It stays almost same from the beginning till the end. I don't get any Coffee notes from this Perfume. It's mainly Sweet juicy orangey with Cacao and a little hint of Osmanthus with a soft kick of tonka bean. This smells like orangey chocolatey desserts. I even get some vanilla hints from this Perfume as the chocolate is not that dark but more on the sweet soft type. 🍊If you love "Lindt Chocolate Excellence orange intense dark" you'll love this for sure.
🍊This Perfume is a head turner and almost everyone loves this Perfume. And honestly who doesn't love chocolate? I wish the coffee note was more prominent and I wish the longevity was more :( But I'm happy to carry a Decant whenever I spray this because I know I'm going to smell damn good so I don't mind reapplying this.
🍊Even if you don't like too much sweet fragrances you still may like it because it's not overly sweet or copying. Even in summer nights it doesn't feel suffocating. And men love this Perfume on women so it's a perfect date night Fragrance. I wish it was more long lasting 😔

Linear, not much complexity, reminds me of something cheaper I used to have like a lotion or hand cream. That said, I do really like it. On me, chocolate is most noticeable, with a kind of generic warmth and sweetness. Cozy and cheering. Longevity is fair, sillage also fair. Worth the full bottle to me.

A Glorified Pink Sugar, imo.
Save yourself some cash and buy Pink Sugar instead.
After a couple of minutes The Hugo Boss smells identical to PS.
Disappointed :(

This is just heavenly to my nose. .

But not when I first sampled it. Initially I wrote it off as underwhelming, powdery and typically office friendly ladylike fragrance.

But I kept coming back to it. And now I have a bottle. I don't look for the chocolate or the orange in this, I simply enjoy the soft rounded cosy sweet scent that blossoms on my skin.

Gorgeous for the colder season.

Oof what can I say? I hate it. I read the reviews and I had high hopes but I didn't like it when I tried it on. It smells like fake chocolate, not sexy at all. It makes me think of cheap chocolate from the dollar store.
