All Coach perfumes reminds me of rubber band, I hate them.

Jadelynn

Gorgeous gardenia. If you’re a fan of the flower, you’ll love Dreams.

This was actually my first Coach fragrance and a blind buy, but I was able to get it cheap and was intrigued by the cactus note so I figured why not? I’d recently been enjoying Yankee Candle’s Desert Blooms in my home and was hoping this perfume would have the same tanginess. I was not disappointed.

Dreams starts with a very gardenia-forward opening, enhanced by the sweetness of the fruit notes and the tanginess of the cactus flower. If you’re familiar with the YC candle I mentioned though, this frag is much mellower and less aggressive than Desert Blooms, and therefore much more wearable.

I definitely can’t say this fragrance is game-changing; it’s a crowd-pleaser for sure. But honestly, it just smells so dang good. I didn’t have an issue with projection, but longevity was poor.

For that I’d say this is only FB worthy if I can find it on clearance or off-rack, I definitely wouldn’t pay full price for something I’d have to reapply pretty often.

jessyux3

I like this a lot but it does remind me of walking through a Nordstrom. Lightly sweet delicate white florals. Crowd pleasing, inoffensive and feminine. Young but also mature.

whitesugarglider

This perfume got me lots of compliments! I blind bought it because I was curious about the cactus flower note, and I don't regret this purchase!

Park.K.Bae

This is a pretty and clean white floral. It opens with fruity cactus, which quiets down after 30 min into a green gardenia. Slightly warm, a teeny bit powdery. It's not a big white floral. It is safe and inoffensive, but it does have a personality. The bitter orange keeps the gardenia interesting. It smells like you are visiting a coastal city on spring break and you walk by beautiful gardenia shrubs.

Lately I've been in a 'florals' vibe, and after reading what the notes are in this one, I went out and purchased it literally an hour ago. It is beautiful! Not to heavy, not too sweet, not to sickly or clawing.... but rather soft and light. Smells like musk and pink sweets and bubblegum and Turkish delight all in one! I'm obsessed. Keen to see how long it holds on my skin so I may just review it again at a later stage.

Nataliemespino

I blind bought this at Marshall’s, and I was really pleased. It’s girly and playful. Yes, it’s big on florals, but it’s not overpowering - it creates a very clean feminine scent that is great for everyday wear, especially in the springtime. The gardenia is the star of the show; but you also get some yummy citron in the opening and woodiness in the dry down. I’m surprised to see not many people talking about it.

First time I smelled this I inhaled the test strip for a whole day. It’s uplifting and has many dimensions. Bright, green, floral, fruity and a lil woody all in one. However there is a sharpness here that doesn’t let up. I don’t usually mind sharpness but this one kind of just sits atop my skin with a slightly nose-stinging powdery vibe that is not for me. I’ll try it again in the summer. (Disclaimer: I’m in Texas so it’s not really “winter” right now)

This scent really suits any age- it’s neat. Kind of a classic floral for grown ladies but also a bit sporty and fruity which reminds me of my crazy bestie in high school who used tanning beds and always wanted to party with Mike’s hard lemonade. I appreciate the range!

Update: YUP way cuter in warm weather without that sharpness! It's a buy.

despairellaa

gardenia with a bit of an attitude. i remember it being way softer on me initially (which i wasn’t too big on), but a year or so in it’s gotten pricklier. decent longevity. perfect for work, though not for daily wear, i’d say - might get duller with time.

IngridYlva

This scent is quite special! A very unique scent profile - I do not agree on similarities with Hollister Canyon Escape (which also is absolutely great but smells like yummy tropical fruit). Coach Dreams is artsy, almost. Probably it is perfect in the desert, but works great for elegant settings and could be worn with both business suit + heels or combat boots and ragged jeans. I mainly get ”the note I don’t recognise” which I guess is the cactus floder (if they even are fragrant?), and then gardenia, pear and a tiny tiny bit of that bitter citrus (like eating a kumquat?). This has been on my top 5 earlier and should get back there. This is a cool scent, like after the sun has just dropped below the horizon. And would be a great gift for that very cool person who appreciates something unique and not too girly.

Edit: I must add that this lasts decently the White day, and lingers as a skin scent for twelve hours.

Phoenixpink80

This was a blind buy, but a very successful one luckily. It's a lovely fresh white floral, with a little sweetness from the fruits (which I wouldn't say are very prominent). The performance is great and it lasts all day.

Precilia

Bad shampoo smell, do not recommend.

Rilpafum3

Wow this perfume is so beautiful. I normally only go for sweet gourmand perfumes and i feel like a few years ago I would have even disliked this fragrance but its safe to say my perspective has changed! I love this! it just smells fresh and clean like a very kind hearted person would wear this is how i would describe it. it has a clean innocent vibe to it. It couldnt be any more perfect in my opinion, the longevity and silage is amazing! its so hard to find a perfume that lasts these days! but this lasts all day on me and i can still smell it on myself all throughout the day. Not to mention the bottle is beautiful.

SheRays

Finally got my hands on this , and while I'm not totally disappointed, I still wish the gardenia was more potent. I love white florals so this makes me happy - I just wish there was a little something more to make it stand out from other basic scents. I pick up something slightly powdery in the dry down, which is nice. Overall, the bottle is adorable and the scent is pleasing to the nose (if you like white florals). Clean girl, fresh vibes.

FrkFors

This is a very nice everyday perfume that fits all seasons. It smells clean without being too sheer or aquatic. It's powdery-woody, floral with a hint of fruit. It has a cozy and warm laundry detergent vibe and it's not too sweet. Just what I was looking for!

juniperlilacs

Got a free sample when I ordered some other scents online. Yet another “Nice shampoo” scent, no one note sticks out and despite the beast mode silage it was thus entirely forgettable. Nobody will doubt you’re wearing perfume, but nobody will be intrigued enough to ask which one.

Rayan Abusrour

a cute everyday perfume.
very suitable for work, since it's not offensive at morning.

I really would never reach for it personally as I lean more towards sweet scents. I got it as a gift, but I LOVED it so much and I've used it all spring almost everyday!

Pinkunicorn314

Most underrated fragrance ever! I had a patient who literally just woke up from coma and told me I smelled so pretty. It lasts probably like 3 days on my coat. I love Marc Jacobs Daisy So Fresh and this is somehow stronger, sweeter version of it. Very distinguish gardenia note that brings me many good memories. I hope Coach never discontinues this.

spellbook.soaps

This scent, like Coach New York the Perfume, smells antiquated to me. They’re not unpleasant, just dated. I pick up gardenia in the beginning, then it dries into detergent— as in, that metallic scent of the actual washing machine interior itself. The redeeming trait is the green freshness, almost like a lily of the valley, but it’s a no. I think Coach bags are hideous so I would never have tried either scent, but my SIL wears Floral so I thought I would try some out. It seems not to be my jam. Smelling these conjures up visions of religious fundamentalist teens going to a square dance or something.

Rwertz123

I bought this fragrance and to me, this is a clean girl, summer scent. I really really like it!! People seem to like the sunset version better but I have to disagree. The best coach perfumes are this one and the coach floral! So so pretty!

LulaValentine

I blind bought this about a week ago. The bottle is adorable and the notes sound nice and it was $23 for 1.3oz so why not?!

When I got all my blind buys I sprayed this one on paper and thought, “hmm, yeah that’s pretty”

2 days ago I decided to actually wear it and my god, I can’t get enough! This is so beautiful and light but potent as hell on my skin. It lasts a good 9+ hours and projects for like 4. I wanna douse myself in this every time I walk by my fragrance dresser in my room. I’m surprised because I generally like deep boozy and darker gourmand scents and this is quite the opposite but I am also a huge fan of molecule frags—Ambroxan specifically— and I think that’s the note that really does it for me here. It’s not a scent that makes your nose grow tired because of its projection and longevity, like some gourmands or deeper/spicer frags can.

I’m planning on buying the largest bottle this week when I get paid. I am also thinking about trying the Sunset flanker, but that one seems a bit more gourmand and not as airy (which is fine cause I am a gourmand girl). I’m really impressed with this scent.

I definitely go through my phases with certain fragrances but this is just such an easy reach and amazing for every day wear.
I don’t see myself getting tired of it.

All in all, I’m probably gonna put some of my best friends onto this cause they usually come to me for suggestions and are always asking to borrow my perfume. This is definitely gonna be the one I hand them next time!

Leah lilly

it is just a fresh & floral fruity summery perfume. The gardenia is strong. love it

Rosemary14

I have this and I love it. It performs like I Want Choo. It’s a little bit perfume-y but in a beautiful way. It’s full of juicy fruits of all kinds giving a gorgeous luscious pear mixed with a green watery freshness. It’s sweet and almost gives the impression of vanilla. It’s alive and luminous.

MazaZilite

I have to admit that this was an almost blind buy for me. I wanted to treat myself for my birthday last year, and this was the most expensive perfume available at my local chemist. I smelled it on a test strip and it was pleasant enough, so I thought "why not?". I wore it on my birthday and a couple of times afterwards and it was OK, a little overpowering and somewhat reminiscent of the original Tresor, which gave me migraines. This was nine months ago. Yesterday I decided to give it another go and, perhaps due to the different season, it smelled amazing! The most rosy, honeyed, ambrosia scent! And the longevity - even after my evening shower I could still smell it! I have certainly changed my mind about this fragrance, and it is a love from me!

Shellyscents

This smells like one of those Ban deodorants. Reminds me of my sister. Very nice and mass appealing despite interesting notes like bitter orange and cactus flower. This perfume even has that deodorant feel. Not quite powdery, but stick deodorant texture.

jtblonde66

The nurse at my Doctors office was wearing this and it smelled great on her. So I decided to take a chance. Smells completely different on me but I love it. I love gardenia scents and this one works with my chemistry. A great warm weather and work fragrance. Adding this to my warm weather fragrance rotation.

Jade-Ange D

Cactus flower attack kinda EDP.

Allthough it is still nice anc creamy with the white floral accord and the fruityness of the blend, I think the Cactus Flower is what makes it really special and kind of polarizing. It is powdery, yet creamy, yet floral, yet a little bit more fruity... Honestly a mess to describe. But it surprisingly smells well blended.
That pear is nicely complimented by the creamy Gardenia and the Bitter Orange and other Fruits notes making it full of energy and really girly.
The Ambroxan and Woody Notes are complimenting this really fruity-floral scent by adding this maturity to it, making it less of a childish blend.

I think it still deserves to be tried even though it is complex, because it lasts forever and the pricepoint is ok. But I prefer Dreams Sunset.

I would rate it a 7/10.

Even if it is a special blend to me. It is really special and I have to be in the mood for it.

Andy224

Main reason why I bought this is the cute bottle with the flowery shaped atomizer. But not a fan of the scent. I find the cactus note way too prominent and not loving that. Do not blind buy it.

Mashalala

This leaves a faint trail of scent that is almost imperceptible but like a comforting floral hug.I barely get any of the woodsy notes here, it's more like a light scent that perhaps a teenager would wear but it would definitely stand out as it is not overbearing, too sweet or generic. It definitely has a fresh element too it so it's not stuffy or nauseating.A great light summer perfume.Very pleasant.

LEM922

Meh. I mean… It doesn't smell bad. But, I've definitely smelled nicer gardenia offerings out there. This is just okay. Pretty basic, nothing really jumps out at me. I wouldn't buy a full bottle of this. But I might be biased, because fresh florals are probably my least favorite scent profile.

Gully

This one was a blind buy for me, but the listed notes sounded interesting. Of course I had to try it as soon as it arrived, and my first thought was it was OK, but nothing I would wear on a regular basis. I then let it sit and settle for a few days after being jostled around in transit...
Four days later, I spritz it on again, and fell in love. It is sweet, floral forward, and to me - very feminine. As I am a professional equestrian, I can usually be found in dirty boots with hay in my hair...not the girly girl type. Dreams makes me feel pretty!
I'm no expert on scents, but I get a brief whiff of pear, and then the gardenia bursts through. I have no clue what a cactus flower smells like, but apparently I like it. On me, the longevity is about three to four hours, so I make sure to give a quick spray to my clothing. I don't have much of a perfume collection, so I'm unable to compare it to another similar scent. I just know it makes me happy!

bo0per911

This reminds me of Chance Eau Tendre a LOT. It has the same coming-of-age, a little sweet, very clean, innocent vibe going on. This is definitely my easy-reach fragrance.
I don't know if I would have bought it if I had seen the note pyramid since I don't tend to go for florals, but to me, this is a lightweight fruity floral that leans fresh.
The ambroxan pulls the whole thing together and anyone would enjoy wearing or smelling this. This is honestly safe for all seasons.

CarmenNola23

I have had this fragrance for about two years now and I love it. It’s a very clean floral balanced with pear and cedar. It’s unique though, not a basic white floral, and I would call it fresh and aquatic even though that accord isn’t listed. I think of it as a summer / beachy scent and I think that’s when it performs best. It has great sillage and I get lots of compliments whenever I wear it. I’d say it’s underrated and it’s definitely my favorite of fragrance by Coach.

AriaLennon

I love the fruitiness at the beginning... love this

underscore

just sold my 90ml bottle because it's a tad bit too sweet for my liking. also has this sharp synthetic smell in the opening notes that really does not sit right with my nose. i wouldn't say i hate it, but it's not for me. other people might like it though.

XOXO_marcel

This is very musky and powdery! I love powdery scents, but it's a bit too much. I don't pick up on any individual notes; it's the most "perfumey" scent I've ever encountered. Very hefty and strong.
However - as a disclaimer, I am unable to smell ambroxan. At all, in any perfume. So I might be missing part of the picture here.

ca$hm3re

One of the most underrated scents out there at the moment in my opinion. It surprises me how little I see this scent talked about, which in a way makes me adore it even more in a ‘hidden gem’ sense. Would absolutely describe it as my signature scent even though I have over 30 perfumes (in the sense that it is the scent I want people to recognise as ‘me’). It is just a beautiful take on a modern floral scent and I absolutely love it. I wouldn’t necessarily call it groundbreaking but definitely possesses a uniqueness that makes it stand out to me in a sea of generic white floral designer scents.

For me, this scent is far from linear… the opening, the middle and the dry down are almost completely different scents (which for me only adds to how much I love it!). This is absolutely one I think everyone must try, even those cautious with white florals may love the almost sweet dry down. It is just incredible and at a great price for a designer fragrance.

Jajally

I have mix feelings about this. First I smell white flowers with a hint of coconut which developed to something sweet in a girly way. It’s cute and not mature at all but it’s not heavy so I think you can use it in every season. Dreams is a good scent that safe for any environment but meanwhile sometimes it’s boring.
It lasts on me 4 hrs max with a soft projection. Maybe I have to use more sprays 🥲

ashidi

Nice perfume..birthday present for my daughter

Fatima1219

A nice floral scent, that smells very classy! It gives me beachy vibes with every spray. A wonderful, well-appreciated change of pace!

likesleet

this wasn't as interesting or unique as i thought it would because of the cactus flower. this was just fresh & floral + detergent smell.

Dort0625

I’m doing the same thing for a few fragrances I bought in the last few months that initially I loved and now absolutely hate them-and this is one of them sadly. I had gotten several samples and loved it so I ended up buying this and I really wish I hadn’t. Because it’s just not nice on me sadly. It is close to full maybe around 85-95 percent ish full and would love to trade. I’m on the east coast of Canada and am open to hear what someone would offer! Send me a message!!

Cherry_Darling

This smelled softly tropical to me, definitely white floral plus something I guessed ylang or frangipani and a little coconut. Did not spot the gardenia, although this is not my note for sure so I won't know all it's nuances. The pear and fruits definitely sweeten this up and give a tropical effect in a creamy yellow floral kind of way.

** 200 samples for swap UK - check my customs, get in touch! **

heatshimmr

Very fresh smelling fruity floral. Shampoo-like. The gardenia is strong. But there is nothing that stands out enough to make me want to buy this.

DarkClarissa

Stunning! I haven't felt like this about a fragrance since YSL Libre came out. I adore pear, it's up there in my top 10 fave notes. This is so much more than your average fruity floral. The pear blends so nicely with the citrus making it more complex. The gardenia peeps it's head out initially but then after about half an hour it's BAM in your face. Beautiful, creamy, clean. I like perfumes with woody bases. Also with ambroxan - but I'm not sure I know what it smells like lol.

All in all this is a fruity floral with depth. It is a very clean, rounded fragrance. I'm not sure it is a good blind buy though because there are a few notes that can be hit and miss depending on body chemistry so definitely test before buy!

LindaL100

I tried this fragrance at the perfume store the other day and instantly fell in love with the smell, it's a very pretty and lovely floral perfume that's not too strong and not too subtle. However I was a little disappointed with the longevity of it, it lasted for several hours on my skin which is quite moderate, not exactly weak at all, but considering its hefty price tag I was hoping the longevity would be better. But like I said, the longevity wasn't terrible, just moderate, but I love the smell because I love floral scents. As much as I want this perfume, I'm still debating on whether I should actually buy it or not, the only reason I'm abit apprehensive about buying this is the longevity is a bit disappointing, I wish it was stronger.

Daniela_Beatriz

It is pretty - a very uncomplicated fruity-floral, very young and uncommitted. Would be a great spring scent when I don't want to go too bold, however, it turns on my skin like MANY fruity-florals (I am looking at you, Incanto's). The drydown turns chemical and bleach-like. Truly a pity, as the first spritz to the first hour, it is great!

Kimberly917

I've had a large bottle for three years now. I wear it a few times in the spring and summer. I smell pear in the opening only. I wished the fruit notes lasted longer. To me Coach Dreams is an average floral gardenia and smells somewhat synthetic. The musk note is sharp and I don't like it. Coach Dreams wears better when I don't overspray. I don't like it sprayed on my chest as it is too close to my nose and rather loud in an unpleasant way. It is not overly sweet and creates a nice aura around the wearer. I think my bottle will last a very long time. I gave a decant to my daughter-in-law. She loves it. I gave her another. Lol!

Rcates78

Holy gardenia, Batman! I love pear in fragrances, but it is really fleeting in this one and I smell no other fruit after about 5 min because the gardenia bursts through the door at that point and commands the room for about the next three to four hours. It rambles from humid and heady to crisp and milky, before the 'fresh' note comes in around hour 4. Then I can also smell a nearby mountain spring, some other floral note (cactus flower, I guess - I'm still learning to recognize that note) that turns things kind of green, all mellowed by the ambroxan/woody base notes. It's a love for me bc I have always adored gardenia, but the force is strong with this one, so if you are not a lover, beware.

Sillage is good (I still smelled it in my bathroom more than an hour later) and longevity is excellent. I wore it yesterday and still got a burst of it when I stepped into the shower this morning and the warm water hit my chest. Strangely, Dreams hangs out far longer on my skin, than on my clothes, which isn't often the case. It's winter here in SoCal and the juxtaposition of this gardenia bomb with the crisp, 40 degree mornings here is nice.

pinkslippers

For gardenia lovers only. With green facets. Its very strong at first, prefer the dry down. Its tenacious too and seems to last a long time.

Rozoviy_Tsvesti

After a half hour, it's so much better because I nearly can not smell it on me at all, thank goodness because the laundry detergent smell was making me sick.

Controlledbyscent31

Easy reach spring + summer, clean, creamy white floral nothing groundbreaking but nice I will be buying a full bottle.
Much nicer then the sunset version for my taste.

LSAUG

Dreams! more like nightmares. Again w/ the ambroxan. Went in blind w/ all I have sampled today (Except RL Romance) I knew this one had ambroxan in it. Gives me a headache right away. This smells so fake, just gross. I think the cactus flower note is also giving me a sick feeling. This is not good. Makes my eyes hurt.

Brittneigh

Gorgeous and clean. I love sweet white flower fragrances. I feel so innocent and elegant wearing it.

Peaches77

I can smell the pear and a little bit of citrus. The gardenia and wood scents are definitely present. I enjoy the fragrance very much.

kkaattjjeess

Fresh floral, very heavy on the gardenia (to my nose), I am personally not a fan (anymore) of this scent profile, but this can be a good affordable option for somebody that would like a gardenia dominant perfume. Quite bright initially and dries down to be smoother and woodier.

moonsunstars

I can’t stop smelling my arm - The Gardenia note is so smooth and creamy. Absolutely beautiful! The cactus flower and Pear add to the creamy, almost milky undertones of this fragrance. I’m so glad I purchased this.

edit: First 30 minutes on my skin, it reminds me of Curious and the original Juicy Couture fragrance. Two hours on skin, the fragrance becomes more fresh/musky and reminds me even more of Curious.

Kaylovely

Smells like axe: anarchy for her.

rainme

90% similar to Britney Spears Curious. Clean and floral without being too sweet or too soapy.

Maenad1

My first thought upon application of this fragrance is: "generic perfumey scent." It smells like a sharp, gardenia-driven floral. It's not a skin scent or the kind of fragrance where people wonder what smells so good -- it's a strong floral perfume. To me it seems a little bit old-fashioned, compared to modern fragrances that balance floral top notes with gourmand or woody base notes. It smells sweet, but sweet in a high-pitched, flowery way. Kind of reminds me of the strong floral fragrances of the 1980s. It's very tenacious and lingers for a long time. I wound up having to wash it off because it just wasn't me and it started giving me a headache.

Snt Vero

This was a gift I received,
It smells light and fruity.
Its a safe choice for most and a good gift for younger ladies, its casual and bright and I think it smells like something peppy and fun personalities would wear!
It's cute!

Dort0625

I was given a sample of this ages ago and I’ve held on dearly to that empty broken vial and then YESTERDAY I finally bought the 60ml size bottle :) yay! This is so pretty! It’s fresh without being soapy, it’s light without being underwhelming or understated, airy without being a lack their of….this is a perfect mix of many different things. I’ve always said that ou buy your fragrance you choose when you wear it regardless of what the “type” is of the traditional season for that “type” and this is exactly perfect for that, I mean there absolutely is perfumes out there that you just wouldn’t pull off well in the summer with the heat and humidity etc, and same applies to citrus scents in the winter they kind of get eaten alive by the cold. But THIS has the mix of all the right notes to make it perfect for day, night, all seasons, it’s office safe, a good blind buy for a lady friend and doesn’t fade away immediately. I love coach abd I’ll always be their cheer leader, Im so glad I bought this!!!

gauzyguava

This is just not my type of perfume. I'm not a green fragrance type of gal. So, take my review with a grain of salt. But, this was awful. Gagging awful. I'm pretty sure cactus flower just isn't my jam.

Enchanted77

A pretty, fresh floral fragrance that has great projection and lasts around 5-6 hours. Its soft yet is noticed. It’s an easy wear for warmer months, a safe office scent and a crowd pleaser that attracts compliments. However, it doesn’t have that oomph or uniqueness that I need to be a love for me but it’s definitely a like. It’s a perfect scent to wear if you’re potentially going to be around others that could easily be offended or sensitive to the monster silliage perfumes I tend to love.

I love how it starts out tangy and bright, with the cactus giving it an almost pulpy, aloe vera-like vibes. Then it quickly becomes a skin scent after about 20 minutes. This makes it a good work perfume since it becomes so light so quickly. If it lasted longer, I would get this in a heartbeat! I can’t justify buying something that barely makes it three hours on moisturized skin, especially for the price they want for it; I guess I will have to try it again in the future to see if they ever make it last longer 😕

rachelsedge

I'm bummed about this. I received a sample in the mail, just the sticker kind you rub your wrist on. It smelled great on me! I then bought the travel size spray and it smells different?? Not sure what happened. It's not that it doesn't smell good, it's just different than what I thought it smelled like when I first tried it. It basically smells like a powdery floral on me. It's also fairly linear on me, as well. Lovely, soft, and feminine, but a bit too basic for me and I have several other perfumes that aren't too far off from this.

SnowVirgin

I smelled a very prominent almond note at the beginning.

Leonoor

To me, Dreams evokes the memory of my early childhood and receiving my very first perfume. It was called My Melody Dreams, or My Melody Flowers. Can’t remember the colour I had. I am not saying this smells the same, it just triggers that scent memory to me. Lovely trip to that stage of my life 💖

ledavi80

I have never had a fragrance where I'm a bit but off at first but fall in love with the dry down. I'm getting used to the strong gardenia top note... just so in love with soft dry down!!

sassa7

Some reviews say this smells "yummy", so even tho I was hesitant seeing the ambroxan and pear, I bought it. Its a staple if you like fresh, green perfumes with a sweet and sour twist. I consider it same league as Guess Dare, the other cactus perfume, Dossier's Floral Rhubarb and Perfect Marc Jacobs. I tested it at Ulta, and didnt pay much attention to it. Generally, cactus comes off slightly screechy, very sour on me like in Guess Dare, but I like it! The pear is sour on my skin too, almost peppery... see Burberry Brit EDT, Shakira's Pop Rock, Armani Code Turquoise. Not a big fan of pear. The ambroxan always smells so dry sour/ozonic on me too. This is why I was hesitant. Looking at the notes I expected something like Guess Dare and its along those lines.

As a whole this perfume escapes the generic crisp or aquatic floral department store clones. This starts off as a light floral green scent and finishes off green, sour & crisp. Its also not the typical gardenia bomb that smells kinda 90s, like Crystal Gardenia KKW,

It opens up green, slightly sweet, watery, crisp yet creamy and slightly woody, the creamy part was unexpected. Esp when I smell up close, the "pepperiness" of the pear paired with the sweet bitter orange and the creamy gardenia smell amazing! The projection is great esp out in the wind. The sweet top notes and the gardenia dont let the pear become too sour/dominant at first. The pear becomes more tart and prominent later along with the ambroxan. The green, sour dry cactus with the pear and the woody base are very reminiscent of Guess Dare, they're def sisters in my book. This leans more peppery than Guess Dare tho, kinda like Armani Code Turquoise. Guess Dare is sweeter, more high pitched and weirdly sour on my skin - pear blossom, lemon blossom there, so more sour than the pear here. I dont see any similarity to Tommy Girl, that one is alot sweeter.

I believe the gardenia here makes it creamy and I was gonna say lactonic, then I look at the description and yeap it says lactonic. The lactonic vibe is quickly gone tho and the ambroxan takes over along with the cactus/pear. Both intensify so the whole perfume becomes more tart, high pitched and greener. There is almost an aldehydic vibe here throughout its phases. The pear's pepperiness is still here when I smell up close, just like it is in Armani Code Turquoise. I do see a similarity. It can be paired with vanilla based body mists.

Hunnynpink

Casual light fruity floral but with a prick of cactus and hint of bitter orange. This instantly brought me back to my teen years, something so familiar but I haven't smelled it since then. Lasts all day and even slightly after a shower.

DaniBear1121

Absolutely love Dreams. Wearing this makes me feel special. If I were walking around and smelled this I would be intrigued by the wearer. Dreams is beautiful, feminine, gardenia-forward in the best way, and lasts. I blind bought this not knowing if I'd love it, but oh I do.

RitzySpritz

Smells like YSL Libre Intense without the aspects that make Libre Intense wearable (and distinguish it from all the other 2020 releases that smelled exactly the same...My Way, Voce Viva). It’s not bad but you could get a much better, less “Glade plug-in” version of this. It’s weird to me that Coach is even still around.

Scintillia

Wow! The best creamy gardenia scent. It starts joyful and fresh. The dry down is gorgeous. Creamy spicy woodsy gardenia. Longevity is impressive. It's perfect for the spring.

CheriLyn

I love this. It's fruity and floral but light enough for everyday wear. Plus it lasts a long time. And even though it seems like a generic fruity white floral scent, there is something about it that makes it smell slightly different, imo.

dalia-banna

Got 30 ml of this at it is okay, fresh spring perfume not very special though. Planning to resell it.

nelliebabes

Dry, soapy, clean, floral. Reminds me of a young girl and a mature woman at the same time.

kbgirl19

I tested this out on a card in ulta months back and remember being able to smell the gardenia distinctly which is a floral I really enjoy. I liked it and remembered it when I saw a bottle for a really good price online (discounters are selling these fit dirt cheap already despite it being a pretty new release idk if it’s not selling well or what). Immediately when I sprayed it on my skin it instantly smelled familiar. After thinking a while I realized to me it smells of YSL Libre, which I own. I could not tell you why that’s what i smell as there is not a hint of lavender in here. I will have to continue testing it because after wearing it today that’s all I could smell. Will be back soon to see if things stay this way or change cuz weird....

thescented_mrs

My thoughts based off a sample I'm currently testing out:

Coach Dreams is a very pleasant, easy to wear fragrance with that cactus note in the middle giving it a slight twist but yet, this perfume is nothing ground breaking IMHO. I'd say it's perfect for every day wear if you don't mind reapplying it because the longevity is very poor and it very quickly becomes a skin scent.

To me the woodsy notes aren't very pronounced and I mainly get Gardenia & Pear with the Ambroxan in the base. While I do think this perfume is pretty I honestly wouldn't purchase a full bottle for myself BUT I do believe this would be a safe gift option now that Mother's day is around the corner! :)

mandy_suraj

Unfortunately, this smelt nothing like how it did in the shops when I bought it. It is very sweet and I would not say that there is a complement between the fruity and floral notes. It is definitely white floral, to an extreme. I think the fragrance itself is not too bad, it's calm and works for every day, but my nose reacts pretty strongly to this.

Dort0625

I was given a sample of this by a fellow Fragrantica Friend and I had totally overlooked this when it came out, and I wish I hadn’t because it’s really nice. It’s very light, fresh floral but actually on the skin it lasts a long time. Just a few small sprays I was smelling several hours later, and even after that I couldn’t figure out what the nice smell I kept smelling was and it was this! Might have to try and get my hands on a bottle of it!!!

Tilsie

This rubs me up the wrong way. Really weird base note, think it's the ambroxan. Smells dirty

Tolkashutka

(From a paper Ulta sample that comes in their mailed catalogue):

I would have gone BONKERS for this when I was 15/16. Nowadays, not my jam--it smells very, very young to my nose.

Easy blind buy for the teenage girl in your life.

Floffles

I actually like this way more than I thought that I would. The woodsy notes really calmed down after about 10 minutes, which my skin tends to amplify. I like that the fruity notes are more of an accent than star of the show. As well as the way that the magnolia shines, because it is not a blast of it like it tends to be in a lot of other fragrances. It is a pleasant scent. I dont love it enough to purchase it though

lemmenkukka

Magnetic magic, I say! Wow, really lovely feminine gardenia scent. Ambroxan adds style and elegancy here. Somehow old fashioned, in a good way. Appeals both young and mature female creatures. I like this one a lot! Made by very true professionals, applauses for a job well made!

bigmoneyburt

It smells like a gardenia candle sold at an upscale boutique in a summer vacation town. Not a love but not a loathe. Very generic however I think it would be a great work scent and it is reminiscent of Joshua Tree NP.

michalka9

The absolute dupe for this perfume is Eclat Femme Weekend by Oriflame :)

Claudia967

Delicious fresh floral! The lasting power isn't great on me but that tends to be the case with most perfumes. Would purchase if the price was right

islandgyaal

I’m surprised roses aren’t in the notes because that’s all I smell.

kobylnice

Beautiful fragrance; fruity sweet, fresh and bright white floral. When dries down the white floral dominates and gets more creamy, musky and powdery. It's a delicious scent for warmer days but quite safe - no WOW, not standing out but still lovely and pleasant. Great for daily warm spring/summer wear.

Air.astarte

Smells like a soapier, more bitter Estee Lauder Beautiful to me. Each generation becomes accustomed to whatever chemicals are being used in perfumes during their formative years. People can get really upset when something they like it's called an "old lady perfume"... we shouldn't, because whatever we like is probably going to be called an old lady perfume one day. For instance, I'm 35 and this smells like old lady perfume to me. I have a whole box of perfume in front of me and this, Givenchy Irresistible, and Lancome Idole, all smell like very similar variations of whatever chemical it is that is in most older perfumes that I don't like. That's just me. I'm not saying that my taste is any better than anyone else's. I guess I'm feeling guilty about leaving a negative review but I want to be honest. This actually stinks to me.

Platoandperfume

I have a 1 ml tester of this fragrance. It is somewhat boring, but it does smell good. It has a generic, floral perfume scent. It's sweet, feminine, and non offensive. This perfume is definitely a like and not a love. It could be a good addition to your perfume collection, but it's not the star. One review called it the nude eyeshadow palette of fragrances and I agree with that. It's a pretty good scent and I wouldn't mind if someone gifted it to me, but right now I think there are better perfumes to buy.

jenintoano

Delicious!! If I could drink it, I would. The best way I can describe it ... well, it’s a splice between Victoria’s Secret Eau So Sexy and Burberry/Burberry Her, sorta. It’s a stronger/deeper version of VS Eau So Sexy and a less burnt peach version of the Burberry’s. It’s a clean, sweet (not overly so and not in a fruity sugary way), floral, fluff cloud with a dash of green/woody. It’s just beautifully blended. If you like Ariana perfumes, this may be a bit too strong for you. If you get whiplash from the physical involuntary reaction of flinging your head back upon the smelling of Gucci Guilty or Euphoria (but do however like some of the base notes), you might light this. If you were a lover of Giorgio Armani Sensi or Bvlgari Amethyst, you’ll LOVE the quality of this one. It’s an absolute safe blind buy. I’m going back for the bigger, no ..., the BIGGEST bottle. Did I mention, it’s DELICIOUS! As far as longevity, I sprayed a very small spritz on my wrists approx 4 hours ago and can still easily detect it without ‘looking’ for it.

Chellywellie

Bright, fizzy, fruity, sweet, pleasant, safe.

I enjoyed wearing it but my other half said it smelt a little like body spray, which once he’d pointed out, I couldn’t get it out of my head. Nice but not bottle worthy and doesn’t smell very strong for very long.

mrstanyad

Nice perfume, strong on the floral notes

genny17

I got a purse spray of this perfume , it is rather nice, but very floral...maybe in winter too floral, too bright, but in its class, it is a pretty stylish scent, very womanly, and I will definitely enjoy it in the spring...I detect mostly gardenia , it isn’t sweet or fresh in my opinion, and it doesn’t open much either.. it is typical of what Coach does, it isn’t one I love , but it definitely smells pretty, I think only lovers of floral scents would love this one..I will enjoy my purse spray but no desire to buy a bottle.

bdragonfly12345

Opening: more floral and less fruity. Drydown: more fruity and a little woody.

Sadly, after a few hours I can barely smell it on myself! It's very pretty on the sleeve of my sweater though (I think the cactus note is more pronounced on clothing).

I wouldn't want a full bottle of this (I prefer longer lasting fragrances), but I would say it's definitely office-friendly, and not offensive. If you are a gardenia fan, I suggest you try it out.

I am not a huge floral fan, but I am glad I got to try a sample of this. I will definitely use the rest of my sample up, on my clothes.

ginandrice

A pretty, basic, simple white floral. Feminine. Pleasant. Nonthreatening.

At least the green plant-sap smell of cactus gives it a little bit of depth.

It's a bit underwhelming, but a nice scent for attending a daytime family gathering in April, or the wedding of a somewhat conservative friend.

dglightblue

I see comparisons to estee beautiful belle and e Taylor gardenia, well those two are both ‘wet’ feeling, belle has some other weird but nice top note which neither e Taylor nor dreams has.

Initially: touch sweet, fresh, light fruit, a bit of wood fuzz as I call it in the rear, it’s bright and a little dew like. I get more fresh fruits and woods through frantic.

Nice sillage, airy, clean, fruit and wood tones, fresh and cool.

A bit later: this dries more, I know this will be cedar drying out the florals and fruits, it remains fresh, the fruit pales a bit (it’s not the juicy tangy sort of fruit by the way). Dry gardenia/white florals, pale fruit, gentle woods. Feels fresh and airy leaning floral+fruit+wood.
Decent sillage for a freshie

6huors later, lasting well, it’s a clean, dry, white floral gardenia with fruit and wood tone onto. Leans clean

bintTapputi

This is perfectly fine, if not done a million times before. With the cactus flower listed as a note I wasn't sure what to expect and was hoping for something that stood out more. It's quite light, a slight powderiness like soft suede, it's clean and a bit uplifting. Really pleasant, if not pretty forgettable. Appropriate for the spring. 7/10

justchillinxo

A fresh, clean floral :)

nyteshade

This is very different from Coach's other perfumes, and I like this one a lot. I don't really care for the previous womens perfumes from this house.

Definitely has a solar vibe going on and Coach did an excellent job with the ad campaign matching the fragrance. Starts as a light sparkling gardenia (not milky like ET Gardenia) then drys down to creamy, smouldering Joshua tree that remains light.

If you didn't like Coach's previous releases, give this one a try.

kateclarkecosmetics

The top notes are standard florally pretty, but the dry down shocked me - a creamy cosmetic note. There is something that made me want to come back for more -‘I am sucker for that old face powder smell.

loversandxo

Love this scent. It's floral, a bit solar w/ the cactus, and love the woodsy ("joshua tree") base. Both a little sweet and a little tart. I think the scent (and the name "Dreams") is going to be my graduation scent this year! Love the name and it's great to fit the occasion. Even though I won't be going anywhere, I'll have the plans on moving forward in the future. Will re-purchase this scent for sure. It's beautiful and a people pleaser.

brumbarche

This one is very versatile. I love it. It is girly, vibrant pink, floral, a bit tart and a bit juicy! If you already have Quatre Boucheron or Coach Floral (not Floral Blush), no need to jump onto Coach Dreams, unless you can find some exceptional qualities in it that the other two can't live up to. The price is not bad either.

Atomikbomb_

The opening is rough, but in a fun sort of way, it's distinctly gardenia and a vegetal note that really smelled like the outdoors, and an accompanying scent of warm dirt. It admittedly would sound gross, but I mean it in the best way, it's really interesting! I almost feel that the fruity orange with fruit cocktail comes afterward, there's no real citrus or fruit for a good 10 minutes. I'm shocked to see cactus as the veg note I detected, it's really unique and super refreshing component that makes this decidedly creative.

Afterward the citrus and fruit cocktail smell emerges...and it's like peaches, pears and cherries in a sun-warmed bowl. Really yummy!

This is a really fun fragrance from a house that quite honestly, has never appealed to me. It's fully floral, fully plant-y, and fully fruity. I don't get much of the alleged base notes, but it's fine. A heavy like for me, nearly a love. Very glad to have a sample!

mintycharm

I haven't actually tried any other Coach perfumes but I had the opportunity to test this one. First spray I didn't like (too sharp and woody), so I stored it away and came back to it on a warmer day. What a completely different creature!

First thing that stands out to me is the unmistakable aura of ambroxan kind of permeating through all the other notes. Not piercing; more like a melodic drone in the back of a song while the other chords dance around it. The pear only pops in to say hello for a moment while the generic fruity and orange mingle in with the gardenia for a longer time. It rests there for a bit, taking on a sort of ethereal and, well, dreamy affect.

Then the florals take the driver's seat while the fruity scent plays around in the back, having just enough presence to keep the mix from being too bitter. To me this is where it takes on that fresh, green vibe; the ambroxan gives it a cool edge like sundown in the desert.

As the woodiness joins in the melody rounds out into a more mellow, almost softly spicy/prickly scent, bringing everything to harmony -- cruise control on a long, straight desert road with the breeze in your hair. I really like it!

meg0825

I haven't been too impressed by many Coach fragrances, but I'm loving Dreams! I tested this one day and went back the next to buy a bottle. A beautiful fruity, green, warm, and woody floral. The gardenia is noticeable, but I don't find it over powering. It's nicely balanced with grassy cactus flower, sweet pear, pithy orange, and woody notes. This has good longevity and the flower-capped bottle is pretty too.

Aw01

This smells exactly like Burberry her to me. I’m not sure what the note is that is similar but I like this one better. Her is a little too sickly sweet imo where as this one has the same fruity sweet vibe but maybe a bit more floral (?) to tone it down a little. I like it! Nice easy spring scent.

DarlingNikki

I could sum up my reaction to this scent by saying what I said when I smelled it: "Oh, God, yuk!" LOL, but I'll try to breakdown why I said that. This is a strange one for my nose, nothing at all what I was expecting. I smell strong indoles on first spray as if this is overloaded with jasmine sambac and then there is something screechy smelling (maybe that hideous ambroxan aroma chemical that is invading every fragrance release like the coronavirus). Very unpleasant smell to my nose--harsh, abrasive, screechy, scratchy and ultimately cheap smelling. Shocked that Coach would release something that smells this bad.

kittenmittens24

There's something I love about a citrus note with florals. I'm in love with this one! I can smell the orange very easily when I first apply it, wrapped up in a lovely bouquet of flowers. It's a happy, bright scent.

Rabbette

I got a sample in the mail from Macy's, of all places. I put a spray on the wrist about ten minutes ago. I read the notes and have braced myself for The Powder. But, as of yet, I'm actually getting flowers, not baby powder and bug spray as I do on sooooo many things. I think I'm getting the gardenia. It's soft, and lacks the insolic(?) aspect to it. As of now, this is a solid soft floral. Very pretty. It's not complicated. This isn't a wet green smell. This is a florist flower. There's no dirt in it. While I love dirt and fresh green herbaceous smells, I find I am liking this too. This falls into my Jane Austen Heroine category of fragrances. Respectable, wholesome, feminine. Simple enough to not be weird with historical clothing, but just fine with jeans and a cardigan too.

Update later with sillage and longevity.

Sillage was about arms length for about an hour. By then, all that was left were the faded base notes. Pretty and soft, but not different enough from a soliflore on me to make it something i want to invest in.

AMH19

This is a typical young, feminine fragrance but it is so beautiful. You aren't going to get anything new or groundbreaking in Dreams, but it is a nice scent that wraps around you and makes you smell feminine and pretty.

Spencemonster

This one is beautiful. This is my wheelhouse of scent though. Call it boring but I love it. I cannot stand woody dark musky scents. This is floral light and citrusy all day. I adore gardenia so once I read that as a prevalent note I grabbed it up at Ulta. I had coupons and discounts. Plus. I got a bunch of free crap I could give as gifts 🤣 so win win even if I disliked the perfume. I do not! Very similar to other gardenia heavy scents. Yes. Reminds me of Liz Taylor’s. Gardenia. But has more fruity undertone. Also reminds me of both Kim Kardashians Citrus and Crystal Gardenia’s but they’re both unique. I have crystal and it’s very dark almost a woody gardenia. This also holds out on its own because it has that pear and cactus flower note! Which. I adore. B&BW has a cactus flower candle body spray and etc that I love and this perfume is like they took both gardenias and cactus flower and blended them with fruity pears and sweet lilies. Beautifully done. The bottle is unique. I like the shape. The paper on the front for the name. It’s actual paper. Not a stamp. The topper while confusing (I broke the display at ulta 😩) it’s cool and the leather surround at the top just shows the uniqueness that commands a Coach fragrance. I love the Coach brand and think this pairs well with any new leather good item from Coach as well.

Melissa_T

Just left Ulta with a purse spray of this. It’s very pretty! It’ll be a wonderful springtime scent.

I can smell juicy fruits (crisp pear & citrus), cactus flower and slight woods as it dries down. I don’t pick up on any gardenia.

I honestly didn’t have high expectations of this seeing all the other Coach fragrances that I’ve tried seemed kinda blah & linear.

(I still don’t understand the actual bottle of this.... I tried pulling off the flower thinking it was the cap and when I went to put it back on it sprayed the inside of my hand 😆 I was looking for the nozzle and didn’t see one.... does it spray out of the top of the flower??? Confused 🤔)

StillJuliaGayle

The ambroxan is too prominent. The elements are unique which I can appreciate however, the cactus and gardenia (I love that combo,so ying/yang)and the rest are buried under an element that has decided not to keep its basenote status. The end result is something that smells very cheap and artificial not fresh and free spirited.

Gail14

Coach Dreams is just OK. Fine for the Spring, although a bit sharp. It settles down as it dries down. The cap is almost too big. I have trouble pushing it down to spray. You'll see what I mean...Pretty though!

TabledThoughts

I find this scent to be a spirited, happy herbal/floral that would be great for daytime. It does capture that get-up-and-go travel vibe as per it's description.
Definitely has lasting power.
Enjoy!

cherie97

Nice, but other Coach fragrances are blended better. This is sharp floral that is somehow overly clean and fresh, the quality of a scent meaning how good it smells comparing to more luxurious brands is poor but on the other hand it has great staying power and lasts a long time. I think it is great scent for teenage girls and young women that want something simple and not looking for anything unique. This is their market I guess. Not for me but I had high hopes to like this one!

Whit

This smells nice; not groundbreaking or anything, but it's still nice. A fruity, happy gardenia scent that gets warmed up as it dries.

I was surprised that Belk had a tester of this; the sneaky SA's had it hid but I found it. I also accidentally tore off the sprayer thinking it was the cap. Yes, the flower is the actual sprayer. Don't tear it off like I did. LOL Thankfully, it's easy to put back on the bottle.

I'm usually not a huge fan of Coach, but I kinda like this one. It's happy and bright; I think it would wear well in the spring, summer and early fall. The gardenia stands out the most, but it's a clean, crisp aroma. The other notes balance everything out so it's not too much of any one thing. It reminds me of something from my past, but I can't put my finger on it.

Overall, it's a pretty scent, but don't expect anything overly complex. I'll have to update on sillage and longevity.

chicagogirl

A very clean, white floral gardenia. It's not a super sweet tropical type of gardenia but a clean crisp kind. I detect hints of fruitness and citrus notes but nothing that is really distinctly present. It's a mundane floral but really pretty, happy and light. Perfect for spring weddings. The gardenia note is very pure and almost smells like gardenia fragrance oil. If you like RL Romance, or actually any crisp floral scent you'll love this. I love the bottle label but I honestly feel like the atomizer looks cheap. The simple, elegant label is so pretty bu the ugly, cheap metal flower ruins it.

sarah.brooks.1

This smells really nice it not super strong but nice and the bottle cute..

sda11489

I received a sample of this today in a magazine, and it is beautiful! At first, it’s a little strong with the gardenia note taking over. As it dries down, it gets better and better with the fruits taking over and then the woods coming out. I can see this being gorgeous for any occasion. It’s long lasting, and you do not need to spray much to smell it on yourself and for others to smell you. This scent is truly very pretty and would be a perfect bridal scent!

DarlingNikki

Sounds interesting, except for that %&$^* ambroxan in the base. I'm way over ambroxan and amber wood being in every designer release like some kind of plague. Hopefully, perfumers will stop inserting those two notes in fragrances as a form of 'rebellious' thinking.

Vicky90

Those notes sound right up my alley! I was pleasantly surprised by Coach the fragrance, so I'm definitely going to sniff this once I can.
