Honour Woman by Amouage is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Honour Woman was launched in 2011. Honour Woman was created by Alexandra Carlin and Violaine Collas. Top notes are Rhuburb, Pepper and Coriander; middle notes are Gardenia, Tuberose, Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley and Carnation; base notes are Amber, Incense, Opoponax, Vetiver and Leather.

Amouage presents a new fragrant pair in 2011 - Honour Woman and Honour Man. These perfumes are dedicated to the tragic story of Madame Butterfly, the geisha Cio-Cio-San who married an American and waited for his return for three years. More specifically, the inspiration for the new creations was drawn from the last act of the eponymous opera in which Madame commits suicide.

Honour Woman is a fragrance of white flowers and resins. White flowers symbolize the progress of unrequited love. The composition was created by Alexandra Carlin and Violaine Collas. Top notes are spices of pepper, rhubarb and coriander. The heart captures flowers of tuberose, jasmine, gardenia, lily of the valley and carnation. The base is oriental with notes of frankincense, vetiver, opoponax, amber and leather.

Available as 50 and 100 ml EDP:

I agree with the reviews that say it’s similar to J’Adore L’Or, but I think it has more depth. It’s very pretty and perfect for spring. Longevity is 5-6 hours and it becomes a skin scent at 3-4 hours. So while it’s a lovely scent, for the price vs longevity, I would rather buy J’Adore L’Or if you want a white floral.

coconutbeth

Super middle of the road. I won't buy but can see why others like it.

xvxmatthewxvx

To me this is a thin aquatic tuberose, jasmine, & corn tortilla orange blossom scent

4 sprays very big projection that lasts about an hour then lasts as a skin scent for several hours. Next day whiffs of sweet incense.

Overall I smell quality ingredients with a mix of synthetic notes most likely used to boost longevity & give it a watery feel

MushLovesPerfumes

White floral that smells like your rich old aunty that travels the world dressed in white linen on a catamaran. Sometimes it's nice to borrow her perfume, but you know it won't be yours.

Thykes10

There's a freshness in the opening- like a green aspect but not sharp. I think it's the rhubarb with maybe the gardenia? It's not overly spicy but there is a freshness with an extra something. The florals give me a confident and feminine vibe that I love. The drydown is more of a warm amber with an oriental flair. On my skin, I don't get any creamy aspect from the florals. I occasionally get an occasional "vintage perfumy" almost powdery aspect. Lasting power was about average- stronger projection for about 3 hours but barely detectable to my nose by the 6 hour mark. Nice scent but not quite "me." I was hoping I'd get some creamy white florals but it stayed pretty green on me. Could be nice for warm weather especially though.

I tested this alongside Honour 43 Woman, and yeah, it was pretty underwhelming... for both Honour womans. :( I kept trying to sniff for like 5 mins bc I wanted to love it but I don't think it's worth the pricetag if you're really into heavy hitting white florals. This feels reminiscent of a designer brand's take on white florals. Like what @Smeraldina77 said, almost like a J'adore. I'll be sticking to the punchier ones for now, or I'll find some time to retest this another time.

Smeraldina77

To my nose smells very similar to Ilha do Mel and the newest J'adore l'Or. Unfortunately they all make me nauseous. I can see the high quality of these fragrances, but they are an absolute no no for me. If you like Ilha do Mel or J'adore l'Or, you will definitely like Honour Woman.

Rozalina

In one word: Angelic. Honour has the most beautiful dry down of any white floral perfume, ever. It beats them all. This is a bridal perfume through and through. It has rhubarb, but don't think Delina. I can't detect it, just that there is a sweet yet elegant non-floral fruitiness in the background.

Anastasia.A

Starts as a rather common sweet slightly aquatic white flower, with some air freshener-like smell.  With time it becomes less sweet, terpenic, green. Lovely. Leans feminine. 8/10

tosel3

Such a pretty fragrance! The rhubarb gives it such a sweet touch in the opening and the dry down. It's giving airy white flower goddess dressed in silk walking on the water's edge.

So feminine and worth the sniff if you like sweet white florals!

First Impressions (Sample):
(09/26/2022)
I did find the perfume to be very interesting. Especially in the beginning, and in the middle notes. However, when it dries down, I think the incense and the carnation in this perfume really takes over this composition of perfume. The overall smell gives me grandma vibes, and that's saying from someone who loves gardenia, jasmine, and anything with indole.
Edit 1(01/06/2024):
Maybe I was being very harsh with this perfume. Okay I love that this is complex, I really love that this smells very sophisticated. However, this a scent is a little too mature for me and that comes from someone who loves white florals. This is a white complex spicy floral that's smells like the beginning of spring in the garden with spicy carnation flowers in all their glory. I picture an older woman in her late 40's to 50's getting married to her true love with this perfume. This definitely gives off a wedding vibe, which I like. However, this doesn't personally fit me, or my personality.

Summary:
Smells like: A mature spring floral with some complex spicy, smokey nuance. A sophisticated older woman getting married.
Family of: Spicy White Florals
Sillage: Strong

Verdict: Pass- Doesn't fit me personally, and that's okay.

FabricatedFashion

This is a beautiful and gentle white floral perfume. Tuberose done beautifully. It reminds me of Do Son Eau de Toilette by Diptyque and Totally White 126 by Parle Moi de Parfum. While not exactly the same, they are in the same family scent profile, and worth checking out.

Overall it simply smells very sophisticated and soft with great sillage.

snowangeline

i received this fragrance in a strange way, i bought a copy of the film slc punk online and for some reason it came with a sample vial of this. i'm not complaining though! this fragrance reminds me of paris hilton's can can, but softer.

Elena_Dz

I love it to the point of regretting buying any other perfumes this year!

Maya lilac

This fragrance is class in a bottle. Honour Woman is a very realistic, gentle, simple, full bodied white floral with a dash of coriander and pepper, a touch of tartness from rhubarb on a mild ambery, resinous, incensed, warm base.

It’s a fresh, green, smooth tuberose with additional white flowers like lily-of-the-valley, gardenia and jasmine. I feel like it has an equally amount of all these wonderful white flowers, to me none stands out over the others.

In my opinion, if you’re looking for timeless classic feminine scent, well blended, white floral focused fragrance that is not the typical bubblegum tuberose, look no further: Honour Woman is it!

Frankly, I am a bit underwhelmed by the performance of Honour, it is very moderate, it is not a loud fragrance like most of Amouage’s are, but seems to be fairly long lasting. Does not project much after the first hour.

The vibe that Honour Woman gives me is that it will be the ideal bridal/engagement scent and the colour of the bottle will fit right into those memorable pictures.

Personally, I am not interested in getting a full bottle of this because I already have Figmeo and Love Tuberose and I prefer more that type of white floral fragrance. Appreciate to have the chance to try it, but it’s not my favourite Amouage.

Season wise, I feel like Honour is perfectly suited for wear in early spring, it when nature comes back to life. It could be worn most of the year, except winter, it’s too weak for cold winter.

670268-me

Just got into frags and this is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. The notes don't really matter as the overall DNA in it is so much more than the separate notes. It's suffocating and you don't want it to let you go; it makes you feel like too much is just right. It's labelled feminine but it also smells like a straight man in touch with his feminine side and I would love to have it on my partner. I've been on two casual dates while wearing this; it made both men unpromptedly scan me with a sniffy face and comment on how much they love it. This is the ultimate main character perfume in the best way possible.

jess_M

Beautiful fragrance, just lovely

I don't get any of the pepper, leather or incense notes at all. To me this is mostly creamy white florals with a side of rhubarb - which combines better than what I thought.

On paper and on clothing this scent is divine. Sadly it doesn't work with my skin chemistry and turns into a salty fragrance 😔.

Lovaloo

Amouage Honour: Watery top note alongside a subtle pepperiness. Slightly indolic, fruity, tropical tuberose with a grassy jasmine and a green lotv element. The gardenia note is not realistically conveyed, the milky, creamy elements are present, but there's no vegetal/earthy touch. The florals smell thinner and more soapy as the perfume progresses. The melon-y, aquatic touch remains deep into the drydown. Disappointing, the florals are underwhelming, not reflective of the price point.

The base has more nuance to it than designer fare, there is subtle leather and an earthiness, but the florals smell oddly functional and they dominate the composition. Were it not for the metallic rhubarb note, I would probably like this a bit more. Unfortunately it is rather strong and it lingers an oddly long time for a top note. One of the more insipid releases from Amouage. You can find better white florals for less money.

Ailee

a punch of white florals, with lily of the valley being very dominant . anyhow i dont feel this is something RARE, ive smelled this many many times on other brands too. and if you like Dior Lucky, you can a have a go at this. smells so similar to Lucky! i have Lucky and when i sprayed both side by side, voila! i found twins of different brands! lol.

fragrantO

this is marvelous! picture a crystal noir with much higher quality , less spices more flowers and more subtle. this is her

francesco_grieco

Honour by Amouage presents a captivating blend of delicate white florals, encapsulating pure grace within its elegantly designed bottle.

arizonaruby

This is a classic white floral scent - quite creamy, a little sweet, and a little citrusy. I don’t really smell the top notes at all; it’s just a lot of jasmine and gardenia. After a few hours, the incense and leather come through, although they’re quite muted - I would have liked them to be stronger. It’s a really nice scent but with so many white florals on the market, I don’t think this one particularly stands out - which I would expect given the price. You can probably get a similar frag for cheaper. The performance is also on the weaker end for Amouage.

wpnt

I'm on a quest to find my signature scent and when I saw the notes for Honour, I had to get a sample right away. It has a very sweet and clear opening, though I don't smell the coriander/pepper note at all. Then it settles down to a jasmine-forward body that lasted for a good 8 hours, before finally drying down to a my-skin-but-more-floral note at the end. This reminds me of J'Adore, only with a better longevity. I like it for how dynamic it is, but all I could smell was elderly lady at Sunday mass service.

Lili1105

A delicate aroma of white flowers, spices and leather. Quite a simple fragrance, among Amouage I think the least interesting. Again very similar to Acqua di Sardegna Scalo porto Cervo- Jet Set only several times more expensive. Already two Amouage fragrances have a great similarity with them, which surprises me quite a bit. Anyway, they have better pieces than this....

dantek121

Obviously this is named Honor WOMAN but this sort of smells like a niche version of Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum for men, to me, and I think that a confident man can wear this and smell great.

Tasherapd

This is tuberose done right. Tuberose can be bubble gummy and become cloying. This isn’t that at all. It’s smooth, fresh, clean & green. This fragrance projects but isn’t loud. Very feminine and ladylike. This is for a classy woman of any age.

ForTheLoveOfFrag

EDIT: PSA - I don't know if this is allowed here, but Luckyscent has an exclusive Amouage code for %15 off: GG15

Skin chemistry is an amazing thing! I'm a big fan of yellow and white florals and so many that get recommended are far too mature, too screechy, too "funeral home" for my tastes. List is Gucci Bloom, Jour D'Hermes, Le Labo Lys41 but this one, on my skin, was beautiful! I got a free sample from LS when I bought my Delina and it was the only one that I kept coming back to and ended up ordering a full bottle.

For the first minute or two its a very realistic white floral, like, smelling petals if that makes sense. After that it dries down to this sweet, white, feminine fragrance. It's what I wanted PdM Valaya to be! That one was a bit too mature for me.

There isn't any powder on my skin, it's entirely smooth and creamy. It's my first Amouage and I'm so excited for it! Another one of my desert island frags is VC&A California Reverie.

katerina.fel

I sampled this fragrance because of the reviews saying that it would be a great wedding scent. I mean sure... if you're getting married in your 40s.
I probably should not be reviewing this since I do not enjoy white florals. It's not foul or anything, just very mature. I might come back in the next decade or so.

DuftHexe

Ordered a sample from Lucky Scent as I have not tried a fragrance from this house. Honour Woman opens as a white flower bomb, very powdery. Fragrance style is very „dated“ think 1980s bride perfume. It’s been done a million times…yawn. Not my style at all. However, as the dry down occurred, the fragrance settled into my skin chemistry, after around 2 hours, it was rather nice. More of the green/spicy notes evolved, with the powdery notes taking a back seat. White floral notes still present, but now fresh and clean smelling. Very long lasting scent. As many other reviewers have said, smells of money. Do I like it enough to „invest“ in a bottle? NO. For this style perfume, I absolutely LOVE First by Van Clef & Arpels. A true „masterpiece“.

Mroger848

Strong gardenia scented perfume. The word mature and the word bouquet will come to your mind when you smell it .. I like it .. it’s what I would wear to an interview if you work high end retail or high end cosmetics. Or you are an entrepreneur who has the liberty to wear what you like unapologetically. This perfume smells like a put together women but to perfumey to wear to an office job even though it classy it maybe stuffy because this perfume stands out . I doubt someone will say it smells bad but for close spaces it maybe too much.. They say Michelle Obama wears this . I can definitely see this perfume being worn at a book signing .. it smells like I’m a women of grace and style and very comfortable in my skin. It will hold up in a long day and keep a freshness that doesn’t get stale.. it’s definitely nice but most be worn by a women in her 40s and up .. just my opinion

Tuberosa80

vitalija899

I have this perfume. 100 percent my scent. This scent is very sensual, fresh and sweet, I associate it with cleanliness, it is not complicated, not overloaded with ingredients.

mauring

This is a proper classy lady in a white shirt, darkest sunshades, red lipstick, dropped hair, stepping out of a flashy car, feeling sophisticated! She walks to the front row and seats confidently!

mistrall

Me and my friend both have bottles of this. Hers and mine smell entirely different. They aren’t even sisters, more like distant cousins. What they say about different batches performing differently, is true. I feel like mine jumps to the base notes super quickly hence is heavier, headier. Hers is less powdery, more on the floral side, which I enjoy much more.

aynala216

I have yet to smell a more regal perfume. I wear this when I feel confident and grown up. This is not an old lady perfume but it has the vibe of when women were clothed yet sexy and well put together. When women were subtle and not in your face but you can’t help but notice them. The trail is soft and intoxicating. Absolutely stunning.

monamushroom

Jasmine and gardenia blend, that is sweet and fresh, and easy to wear. It smells like a dewy spring morning, in a meadow filled with white flowers. After a while it smells like fabric softener or fresh linen, a bit too clean for me. After 8 hours it is still going strong on my arm, but I wish I got more of the top and base notes…

I feel like a sophisticated, rich, soccer mom when I wear this. A woman that has control everything, and always has her hair and make-up done whilst wearing a white button up shirt or a flowery blouse. A bit too mature for me, but I appreciate the scent.

AnnaMagenta

It’s fresh... Well blended and subtle, not cloying. Some probably expect this to sound more expensive regarding the price. Overall, I was not all over impressed, but I never had really such fresh perfume in my collection, so I thought it would a good fill for the gap.

Update: I’ve tried at first on my wrist, but when I put this on my cleavage and it’s another story. There are very subtle warm notes. I feel like I’m going to enjoy this perfume over summer.

You can see the quality when you can’t detect any artificial notes)

ambervxyjul

Straight white florals and not much more. It is very very similar to Gucci bloom and I already own that one, so I’m pretty disappointed in this blind buy. I can’t really detect differences in the two. It would fit a bride for sure, but I didn’t know why I expected white florals with more a kick considering the price and brand. Generic white florals with greens in the background. Will be selling my bottle!

Update: I actually really enjoy this now after a few days of testing. This is more well blended, and much sweeter than Gucci bloom. Bloom is sharp and harsh, while Honor is sweet and fresh. This is signature worthy and a good daytime scent. Will be in my rotations.

mistrall

Some people mention it being classy, cold and too “proper”. Classy, surely. But it’s a honey-sweet bouquet of white flowers enveloped in spice. It isn’t so innocent after all.
I can see a person with light feminine aesthetic wearing this.

Jean-Paul Gugenheim

This is about as good as a white floral gets, but you'll pay for the privilege. Stunning deep jasmine and warm spices abound, and it all smells incredibly natural and soft. Certainly a more mature scent, but it really shows up all the other designer white florals, so if you have a few hundred lying around and like the genre, you'll love this one.

HeatherMuffin

This is absolutely beautiful. I tested many times and everytime I told myself no (($$$$🥲), they didn’t have samples, they didn’t have minis. BUT then I discovered there were tiny individual 7.5ml bottles from the discovery sets floating around resale sites, and I ordered one right away! So worth my money, this bottle is a dabber, not a spray which i actually prefer with Amouage because they’re powerful, but the bottle is real and has weight, it’s a replica mini of the full bottles and it’s the freaking cutest.
Honour is the kind of white floral I love, it’s smooth and round, not sharp, but still green (ish) not gourmand or liqueur style. No orange blossom 🤟 Honour has a subtle whisper of warm incense and leather to give a warm elegant inviting power to it. Finally found an Amouage I could justify paying out for! The entire garden collection were duds for me that smelled like hairspray or old men (lilac love).

Honour is that mom who felt like your mom too. She was confident and loving, always laughing and taking care of everyone, she was that mom who had food ready for EVERY occasion, she had a full successful career but you’d never hear about it, she was so kind and approachable, always greeted you with the warmest welcome. That is what Honour is. It’s beautiful, soft, inviting, power. That’s what I get from this.

It’s a perfect addition to my floral collection, it is very much “like” Gucci bloom the pink bottle, but so different that one could never replace the other… also “like” Bloom Ambrosia in the red, but similarly couldn’t replace it. Both Blooms are more spicy (tickle my nose from the florals) blooms are more fun and ethereal to me.
Do Son EDT is also kind of “like” Honour, but it is more attention grabbing, more sharp animalic, and a little less pleasant to me. Honour and Bloom, both lack orange blossom, and I think that’s why they are more round and pleasant to me. They are my tops, but I got Do Son because I needed the adorable little 50ml and it’s still one of my favorite Tuberose that I’ve smelled, and 2nd fave Diptyque (after Philosykos) .

Honour fills the place in my collection that gives a more mature impression, less everyday, when I want to feel that way. And no, Bloom is not mature to me. And Honour doesn’t smell in the same vein as the “mature” vintage florals people refer to that are called mature because of the huge amount of civet. I don’t like that weird heavy syrupy sweet stink of civet or of the modern synthetic version of it,
Honour is completely lacking that THANK GOD. I see people comment that it has just a touch of animalic, but not to me!

I also have FB of Original carolina Herrera, it’s in the same realm, kind of, the one just in the clear bottle, and it smells mature floral in that sickly sweet kind of way. I bought it because a friends grandma wore it and I loved the way she smelled, but I got it and I can’t wear it. It’s so sweetly floral like SWEET sticky animalic floral. And Honour is not mature in THAT way. Honour is a work of art!
**edit: something in the base, probably the leather, or incense makes me nauseous sometimes. 😢

WhiteFlowerPrincess

If anyone wants to trade with me or a buy an almost full bottle of this perfume from me here in Australia, PM me.

AnlisaC

White Floral to the heavens!!! I’m a white floral lover!

Latetothescene

Needs onions 🤣. These reviews kill me. 😂

smellslikecoffee

Beautiful, sophisticated and uplifting fragance!

At first I thought it was boring, just put together and well behaved.

But fortunately it's not! Underneath I get these 'rolling in the hay' vibes. A touch of naughtiness that brings it to life.

Perfect for late spring and special occasions. I can see how this is a perfect bridal frag. Very well done!!!

banjerine

A stunner. While I can see the bridal angle, I don’t feel that this is a joyful or celebratory scent. It’s graceful, romantic, and dreamy, clean and feminine, but it has a dark, melancholy heartbeat that adds so much poetry and depth to it. Floaty, dewy white florals, a waxy green bitterness, salt, smoke, dust. It feels like yearning. Forbidden, star-crossed love.

rahatski

Something about Amouage—maybe it’s naturally sourced ingredients or something but Lordy do their juices vary on me. This one smells like coriander/tuberose curry on my inside elbow, cut grass on my outside forearm, and rapidly-vanishing heaven on my t shirt. I don’t know WHAT to think about it. I like the grass for sure. The curry… I don’t know. Needs onions.

MiwaB

A bride s perfume. Nuff said.

soldier71

gorgeous, feminine, compliments magnet! Nothing soapy or harsh, but a beautiful, sparkly and sweet white flowers bouquet

Kizzyb93

I don’t own this and today was the first time I’d even heard of it
One of my friends is a serious fragrance head and she was showing me her huge collection and I saw this , sprayed it and I must say this one definitely isn’t my type of scent it gave me mature vibes however I did find it elegant . I think it was probably the rhubarb not that my nose wasn’t particularly keen on and I found it quite screechy I believe this would be a good scent for the summertime maybe….

Edemay

Sour white florals which settles into more of a soapy smell
Smells a bit too dated for me but a pretty scent nonetheless

Cherry Bloom

I read the comment down below of WhiteFlowerPrincess and it made me laugh because i just got my decant out of my drawer sprayed it and immediately sneezed.

About the fragrance. I think this is the freshest perfume i've smelled, it screams hey, look how clean I am!! I've just had a cold shower, put my white t-shirt on and i want everybody to notice this. I don't sense any citrus (actually no citrus is listed anyway) like i see in below commen. Just very crisp, very fresh (extremelly fresh), veeery clean (without being necessarily soapy, rather like bathed in rain water). After some time, I sense the animalic touch, also the incense start to come through. The bottle suits it perfectly..white, pearly, bit shiny. It's not at all a love for me, but I definitely like it though

Later on: I realized why the name: im honour of a woman's skin. Smells like very clean woman's skin.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

16/01/2023:

This perfume is very nice, but it's definitely not my most favorite. It starts off with a slightly strong citrus note and I can detect the pepper and the rhubarb in there, which aren't my favorite. It's a little bit strong and it sometimes makes me sneeze.

Thankfully, this only lasts around 30 minutes and you mainly get the white floral notes after this. I can smell the jasmine and the tuberose, but not so much of the gardenia. This would be the main accord in this fragrance for sure. I can then smell a hint of leather, which grounds the perfume quite nicely.

I'd definitely finish up this fragrance eventually, but I don't think I would re-buy it. It reminds me of Ilha Do Mel, but thankfully it isn't a scrubber like that one. This had so much potential, but I feel like it would be way better if they get rid of that silly pepper note and dialed down the rhubarb. It would be so much better!

The plus is that it does last quite long and has good sillage, though. And no woodiness thankfully!

(Edit 22/04/2023: I've decided that this perfume is just average for me and is more like a 6/10 or even like a 5.7/10 lol! It's just too much for me and too sweet. If anyone who lives in Australia wants to buy an almost unused bottle from me or do a trade with me where they get this perfume in exchange for one of the perfumes in my wants list, let me know.)

petitfleur22

If you want to smell feminine, classy and sophisticated, this is the scent for you! Yes, it's a white flowers scent but the dry down is where the Amouage signature comes through. The Leather and Incense gives it such beautiful depth, you will not want to stop smelling your wrist. 10/10

nadicamihajlovic

I have noticed that people comment on this perfume as being rather cold. This is only true when used in cold climates. It's not only cold then, but it's also waxy and without any sweetness. The green notes are more pronounced, and the leather is a bit sharp... In warm weather, this is a creamy and fruity-floral scent that reminds me of Latin Lover by Carner Barcelona or even the more feminine take on JTC 400. It smells modern and opulent. Like a proud woman from the upper class. Very bright, powerful, and bridal, like a joyful Madame Butterfly on a sunny day, before the storm of her life. But when the sun is gone, it gets cold and waxy.

Linnsim

Beautiful, sophisticated and very feminine and elegant scent. The white flowers are so well blended, this is perfection. For me as a white flower lover this is one of the best I have ever tried. I see comparisons with Gucci Bloom, which I also have, but this is much more sophisticated and luxurious. Definetely a god wedding scent, but can also work as a signature scent because it smells so good and addictive and I can’t see anybody bothered by this.

Kcbear28

You and me against the world, baby. Agreed with one of the comments below about I have my shit together rich aunt. Of course, you have probably smelled something similar somewhere but this is the real deal sort of perfume for me. Very classy. My favourite Amouage of all time.

Ruby Galore

Don't be fooled, this is a perfume of white flowers, but the main role is played by the red carnation.
At first, the rhubarb lifts it into the sky of freshness, but the carnation lowers it into thick and warm.
This is a wonderful scent to me.

Heaven in a bottle! Glorious burst of white flowers and a tiny touch of green. The tuberose takes its time to bloom with carnation making itself known. So classy, so lovely, and very high quality.
Interesting that so many people compare this to Ilha do Mel. While I do see a small resemblance in the floral aspect, Ilha is sweeter with the honey, slightly more casual to wear, and just smells like a “nice” perfume. Honour is grand and statement worthy. Really does live up to its name in honouring the “woman”. Wedding perfume worthy. I can see it equally suiting younger women, but in my current frag journey I would definitely revisit this when I’m a little older.

sunshine0101

Lovely, bright floral. Definitely for floral lovers. Must try if you get a chance. The perfume house being from Oman, has that Arabic underlying structure and composition. Lovely notes, love it. Will get hands on more Amouage fragrances. Worth the penny. As many say, could be a wedding perfume. Only issue- it doesn’t last for too long and projection is not super good either. This is something I will need to spray more than 2 sprits to get impact. Otherwise it is a very gentle beautifully done bright floral.

I have been researching Amouage for a first expensive niche purchase. Today, I am sampling Honour Woman.

Sometimes perfume is just...art.

I feel the scent journey of Honour Woman does justice to its namesake (Madame Butterfly, specifically, "if one cannot live with honor, one must die in honor) in that the scent opens softly, with notes of tuberose and jasmine and smells like a light Gucci Bloom.

Part of the magic of this perfume is that it begins light and develops strength, depth, and richness as it wears. As the scent begins to crescendo, the jasmine and tuberose fade, and a watery Lily of the Valley comes forward, giving this a gorgeous aquatic nuance.

After significant wear, the florals fade, and the leather and incense come forward, deepening the fragrance and adding darkness to what has been a beautiful, pure white floral fragrance, signifying the lonesome, broken choice to commit suicide after blissfully awaiting your lost love's return.

Truly, a beautiful, deceptively strong scent.

Sanrio

I like this fragrance. Definitely gardenia forward; cold, crip, tart, refreshing. Lacking in the natural sweetness that comes with other white florals.

I don't like the very end (after 6+ hours of wear) of the dry down. Some musk comes out to play and takes this into a too-clean Febreeze sort of smell. But it's worth it for the first 6 hours, and it's not like the dry down smells bad or anything. Pretty good longevity for a warm weather floral scent.

I'm still trying to grasp what rhubarb smells like in fragrances, I thought it was to add a certain leafy/green crisp quality which this fragrance doesn't really have. But in reality, rhubarb has a very tart and refreshing flavor which is reminiscent to the way Honor smells?

All in all a very well put together, buttoned up kind of summer smell that doesn't smell generic. Hard to pull off, leave it to Amouage.

Longevity 6/10
Sillage 8/10

bazbazar

She is any white floral's "I have my shit together" rich aunt. As always, Amouage did not disappoint, releasing a beautiful and approachable white floral fragrance that I know will get compliments from those around the wearer. Albeit a bit basic, she performs really well and succeeds at elevating a subject that's been done and redone. You can easily find a dupe, but she's great.

Enrium

Honour Woman is a refined white floral scent with some soft spices in the background and a smooth amber drydown. It would be predictable if it wasn't for the unexpected rhubarb note in the opening. I dislike rhubarb as a food, but I have surprised myself by enjoying it on more than one occasion in perfume. It adds a tart, slightly acidic fruitiness that is a refreshing departure from citrus, or makes for a nice alternative to the sweetness that is otherwise associated with fruity notes. Here, it lifts the florals and complements the spices. It subsides to reveal a clean, well-balanced white floral scent that, while classy and elegant, is not much fun.

Honour opens with the aforementioned tart rhubarb note, followed by subtle peppery spices. I don't find the rhubarb to be too bitter - it simply adds a little bite. The white floral accord then unfolds - creamy, softly sweet and natural - making me think of a bridal bouquet. The tuberose is muted, the jasmine is clean and the gardenia sweet - making for a lovely, smooth floral accord. Lily-of-the-valley adds its typical greenness, giving it a lift and making me think of flower stems.

As it develops further, it becomes slightly balsamic as the amber base emerges. Here, I get the clove-like carnation note and a hint of smoky incense. The amber-spice accord complements the florals nicely, adding depth and warmth while staying in the background, letting the florals take centre stage. It becomes musky and slightly powdery as it fades, with remnants of the florals remaining until the end. Sillage and longevity are moderate on me - Honour doesn't have the same powerful performance of other Amouage scents when sprayed on my skin.

Well-blended and nicely composed, Honour is a rich yet restrained white floral scent - classic, timeless and elegant. Honour would be an excellent perfume choice for a bride. Otherwise, best worn during spring days. Not my personal favourite white floral, but has mass appeal in the very best way. 4/5.

Lilyeerily

Smells very powdery once it dries down to me, and that's something I'm not a huge fan of personally. I can see how people like out, just not a perfect fit.

violeteme

The rhubarb note is so strong and dominant in my experience with Honour. Unfortunately, I don't like the sourness and tartness it presents to the composition. I see this as an elegant scent for more mature women, it is proper and ladylike. Quite well balanced for a white floral. No indoles, no banana peels, no vanilla sweetness, no anything rotten, just clean, creamy white florals with rhubarb.

ntabassum92

I can see why Honour Woman would not suit everybody. It is a tart white floral, with plenty of rhubarb, and a sour gardenia being the most prominent white floral. The pepper and coriander are also strong here, and these are spicy notes that can be on the sour side - at the very least, they do not provide sweetness, and I feel like they also pull sweetness away from the floral notes. My decant may have changed a bit, as I remember the opening being more watery and fresh than what I smell now, but the drydown is intact - and the drydown is entirely devoid of sweetness. I like it, as it is a different kind of white floral. It's very elegant, for evening wear. It lasts really long on me, too - still going strong 6+ hours later.

Update: 8-9 hours in, I smell the incense, leather, and oppoponax, it's gone quite resinous and the sweetness has returned. Lovely.

est2316

Probably gonna be the minority here but omg… I don’t love it! At first glance I did, and then I bought it and on first stay there’s a note inside that’s gives nauseating vibes. I believe it’s the tuberose. If you do not like tuberose… STAY AWAY!!! It’s very prominent in this fragrance. However the blend of all the white flowers and all the scents makes the dry down a very beautiful subtle spring fragrance. However longetivity isn’t great on this for the price either. It last like 2 hours on me. The trail basically non existent. I’m selling my bottle and also open to swaps (maybe bdk rouge smoking or pas ce soir) or other suggestions. Please inbox me or send me a message on FB @sorelle tcheb’s

ArianaS

It’s feminine , elegant perfume for spring and work but definitely not worth the money. Are way better options with jasmine and tuberose out there like Gucci Bloom.

CeeTee

Well mannered, classy, elegant and proper. Beautifully done. Nothing out of place or avant-garde, but a stunning work of art, nonetheless. I don’t get the deeper notes of incense, nor leather, probably due to a sophistication that’s beyond me.

I’ll add 2 things: I’m prone to headaches w/ florals, and I did get one with this. (Just a precaution to test first, if you’re sensitive like me.) Secondly, 6 hours in, it’s getting stronger! Finally, it reminds me of Perry Ellis 360 (vibes) from waaay back in the 90’s, but no fruit. I loved that back then! And I love this now.

**EDIT: 16 hours later, it’s still going strong. The longer this smolders on my skin, I receive the incense in both scent and feeling. This note is subtle enough that I don’t think it would bother a wearer who doesn’t care for that note.

strongerwithglue

Nice, sweet, slightly soapy springtime white floral that dries down to a warmer, spicier fragrance. The leather and incense are not detectable here, I think they are added in small quantity for some depth.

Tuberose is not my favorite note. Of the tuberose fragrances I've tried, I do think Gucci Bloom is the closest to this that I know of. Honour is less linear, however. Still fairly simple and easy-going.

Lilia Marie Benoit

She is dreamy; she has a heart full of love; she is humble and dignified but appreciates the finest things in life; she is surrounded by beauty. This is Honour Woman for me. The most beautifully crafted white floral fragrance by the perfume house of Amouage. This is an art of its own and I do not believe I have encountered such an enchanting fragrance in my collection. Here you are paying for the art of perfume making and not the name or marketing of the brand. Fragrances are very personal and subjective, however, no one can deny the time and skill that went into making this perfume. This perfume was made to exude true elegance, regality and a poised persona.

Newsha_f

it's fantastic.

JHart

Honor Woman is gorgeous. FB worthy!

Chantiniiii

I hate the opening of this perfume!! But the dry down and the scent trail is to die for. I just need to get used to that harsh opening :(

Dmiddy

Honour is “bigger” and more powerful than Gucci Bloom, but I do see the connection between the two. To my nose, the lily of the valley dominates this scent with the jasmine (loudly) singing backup. This really would be a beautiful wedding fragrance — even if I find it a little TOO traditional.

sadiyam

starts out really chic and rich smelling white floral. settles into a room freshener like quality that i’m not too crazy about.

Amaitawana

I really love this fragrance. It’s worth the price.

fk22

Gives me Good Girl Gone Bad vibes as well as Gucci Bloom. Quite green and not sweet at all. This is great safe fragrance if you’re into white florals. But a great alternative would be Gucci bloom for a 1/3 of the price.

Smells elegant and feminine. I don’t pick up any of the incense or spicier notes.

I haven’t tested the performance too much as I’ve acquired this recently and I think this I’ll shine more in the spring/summer.

I would rate this a 6.5/10.

mrsoutlaw

One of my favorite fragrances from Amouage. It is bright, fresh, clean while still elegant and ladylike. The rhubarb offers a fresh punch while the gardenia and tuberose fragrances offer a sensual softness to this fragrance. Honour Woman makes me think of a sophisticated woman in a crisp cotton dress on a hot summer day. She doesn't need to say a word but she still manages to command your attention in the most alluring way. Beautiful

renashepet

I really truly love this perfume. To me this exudes grace, femininity and elegance. If I could only keep 10 perfumes, this would definitely be in that list.

The jasmine and tuberose are blended so beautifully - I have no words. I wish my entire life could be as good as this smells to me. I would personally wear this year round, but it is airy enough to work really well in spring and summer. And I can definitely see this being a wedding scent - everything about it is just so beautiful.

Forbiddenjade

Nice, very nice and much alike Gucci Bloom that was my wedding fragrance - but quality here is way more! Unoriginal, but likeable - and this comparison is what may upset its lovers but guys, test Gucci Bloom and you'll see for yourselves.

Anyway, down to notes: prominent but not punchy tuberose with backing of gardenia and lily of the valley. Feeble green notes given by rhubarb, coriander and vetiver.
No leather, incense, carnation at all perceptible - if they are there, they were masterfully muted and sat at the very back. No amber either, or so well crafted as backing that you won't perceive any. It's fresh and feminine most definitely, with a gentle green bite.

I can definitely see this number as perfect for a morning bride. Would recommend to all lovers of white florals. Seasons: Fall, Winter and Spring, daytime.

emerson10

This fragrance reminds me so much of my great aunt who recently passed. She exuded elegance; always had a blowout, some Cartier jewelry, leather pants, even into her 80s. I think it's the Gardenia/tuberose combo mixed with Geranium/lily that really makes me think of her. I think the latter notes are a bit more mature than the Gucci Bloom comparisons. I feel it's more akin to Rouge Malachite.

RainbowGirl

This is a gardenia dream. Fresh, white floral. Love it so much. Makes me want to marry myself.

dcjimr

Smells like soap to me at first but a soft tuberose comes out in the dry down. Not worth the price in my opinion.

WFT321

Beautiful and soft white florals, this falls into a skin scent on me quite quickly but my goodness do I love it! Just wish it lasted a little longer.

In the same category as Memo Marfa and GGGB by Kilian IMO. Still trying to justify a full bottle.

lovetribe

excellent combination of tuberose and jasmine but too similar to many others for 1/5 the price and with better performance.
5/10

ingeneuxo

-A really pretty, soft, feminine scent.
-Honour Woman is rice powder with just the right amount of sweetness.
-This is best suited to feminine individuals who regularly wear white flowy skirts, lace-trimmed eyelet tops, paired with nude/pink sandals that lace up to frame their delicate calves.
-Reminiscent of Honore Delights by Ex Nihilo. (Minus a bit of complexity) (-)

Dulcedulce

I thought these notes would be well executed but it just didn't do it for me. It became way too watery for my liking and not worth the price for something to turn out a bit sour.

Air of Grace

Gardenia , Jasmine , LOTV, Tuberose wow this was sounding like my kind of fragrance !

However , the opening notes were a disappointment . I can’t handle spices or pepper notes so I nearly gave up on Honour.

Then , after an hour the florals weaved their magic spell on me .

Loved how they mixed beautifully with the woody base notes . Longevity is enormous ! Still smelt it on my wrists the next morning .

So I bought a bottle. I just had to get past the top notes .

I do see the correlation to Memo’s. I tried it and the top notes were sweeter because of the honey so I bought that as well .

I think Penhaligon’s Ellenisia smells quite similar . It’s not as heavy and is smoother so I got a bottle of Ellenisiia as well .

Blacktundras

Sorry, but I'm a part of the dislike crew when it comes to this fragrance. First off, it's insulting how this is an exact dupe for Gucci Bloom with no added depth to at least make it worth the quadrupled niche price tag. I know they're some others out there, but I've never smelled such a designer-smelling, niche perfume in all my perfumed days. It's just so abysmally boring to me. I get that some people see this as a wedding fragrance, but my goodness, that would be the most boringly, vintage wedding choice to choose from in any selection one may have.

Ravenrage

Lovely aquatic youthful flower bouquet. Best BB and deal from fb matketplace yet :D

MarchHare

Beautiful perfume. Realistic, soft florals made interesting by the backdrop of incense and pepper. When I got it I didn't know the backstory and connection to Madame Butterfly, but it tracks. It has all of the wedding day, austere and romantic, perfume elements, but there is something kind of tragic about it. The incense is so light that it smells like it's coming from another room, like someone lit some at a funeral for a woman whose favorite flowers were tuberose and gardenia.

No perfumes last long on my skin, but it lasted a decent 4 hours on my petroleum-jellied wrists and collarbone. It has a good sillage and is such an inoffensive perfume that it would be hard to overspray. I'm sure on most people 1 spray would last closer to 6-8 hours. My skin just eats perfume.

Top 5 perfumes I've ever had. It is a tad expensive, but it is so well made that it is worth the money.

Ellsa

I feel like Christina wanted to wash the bottle ( gorgeous btw) and she forgot the vessel gel in the water, put the cap on and that’s it. Is a shame to sell a perfume listed as luxurious when the performance is similar or poorer than an eau de toilette from supermarket.

julheart

Spicy pepper white flowers and a creamy incense sitting in a bed of grass.. Deceptively simple and elegant. I just spent a couple of days with Ubar and this is a welcome departure from that - still floral, but not so dirty. Honour is a silky smooth white bridal gown.

perfumeryinreal

This fragrance smells so clean. It’s almost like expensive wipes. If you are a white flower fan you can check this out but for me too much flowers. But still not an old lady scent.

toushiroumimi

It’s fresh green and strong Gardenia…
Really great for ladies who like summery scents…
It does wonders in a humid hot weather such great Notes and performance…

However, 😂 it lack uniqueness and I think it will me more appreciated by an older audience…

I think it’s a little too pricy and if someone likes this they might try Gucci bloom as well because it smells extremely similar

RaghdaN

The opening is quite sharp, but the dry down is really pleasant. The tuberose is fairly prominent here, but the fragrance doesn't smell dated at all. It's green, clean and classy. This is very versatile in my opinion, and I can see myself wearing this a lot in summer and spring.

AnnaElli

Even the opening was a little bit too strong for me, it quickly settled into a very feminine, soft, creamy, fresh and really lovely gorgeously blended white floral smell with a just righ amount of a nice subtle not overpowering sweetness. It smells luxurious, elegant, clean and is very pleasant and easy to wear. Confident but not overpowering. Worked really very well with my skin chemistry and I enjoyed it. The sillage is really good and the longevity too. You can definitely tell that this is a very well done and very high quality perfume. My first experience with Amouage and have to say I really loved it.

Emma92

Lovely, soft white floral scent. Really well done. I'm really really enjoying this one. I get wafts for hours but it is so subtle - whilst I love white flowers, I always think they are wearing me. This one feels so comfortable and elegant. Yes please! I love the fact there is rhubarb in here too.

Mirjammm

it is ok, a clean sweet flowery smell, not very special.

blossomka

9.5/10. I like this right away. Refreshing, aquatic, cool honey. Faintly sweet, floral background. Calla lily. Mild for an Amouage. Sun setting on a hot evening, green grass in the backyard in summer. Well balanced top to bottom. This is what heaven smells like. Pure. Gorgeous and incredible for hours.

I knew I would be in trouble quite soon after I tried this. There is nothing I can find that I do not like about this perfume. Now I must buy the bottle!

Edit: My bottle arrived. Amouage really knows how to package a product. Down from the crystal on top to the magnetic lid. High quality presentation.

Ruby Galore

Inscription on the Temple of Apollo: Nothing in excess.
Fresh, fleshy green stems of flowers and rhubarb combined with pepper..what a combination, divine! Moderate, mild, white, creamy, fresh, a little spicy.
Some may not delight because it is luxuriously simple, some may be boring, but it will never disappoint, like Apollo, it will never cross the line of good taste.

Kai_11

I am not fan of Amouage scents so far (I’ve only tried 5 though), but this one has been a better experience. If you enjoy white florals, here’s a good one. Creamy, but crisp, and slightly green. Then moving into a velvety luxurious more rounded ambery sweetness. The longer it sits the more beautiful it becomes. This one is definitely effected by seasons/temperatures.

somefire

a grown up white floral, with lots of leaves in the bouquet. this is not exactly sexy-feminine, but strong and confident-feminine. think athena, not aphrodite. smells powerful and classy at the same time.

EllaDe7

probably the best Tuberose scent! Nice but I can detect the incense in it, hence wedding ceremony, church bride.

Magifera

I see why this is often chosen as a wedding fragrance. It does smell beautifully "white". Pure, fragile, feminine, elegant, innocent, ethereal. Gardenia with Lily of the valley floating in heavy cream. Something a fairytale princess would wear.

Rosemary14

Honor starts out very green and crisp like a realistic bouquet of flowers. After about a few minutes it settles and the star of the fragrance steps forward- Gardenia. This a photorealistic realistic gardenia which is rich and creamy but still fresh. This isn’t a sharp fragrance or sweet. It’s sweetness comes from flowers and there are some creamy warm undertones of amber. But the gardenia flowers are the center. This fragrance has a lady like personality. It’s a little bit reserved and gives me a picture of a preachers wife. Lol But, it’s also very luxurious, beautiful, and full floral. I could also see it on a bride in a beautiful white dress.

Flowerful

I simply regret buying this bottle after the Amouage hype I encountered online. I smelled a bottle of amouage a while ago and I can assure you that perfume was strong... But I bet all recent releases are too watered down and smell cheap even. I can't pick anything else from this house. This perfume is too light and doesn't even smell good. I am selling it asap. I also got interlude woman and my disappointment is astonishing. Bye Amouage. How dies one get access to the vintage bottles.... I cant dare buy any recent batches from them. They have changed for the worst!

Digi3573

Pretty white floral . I was hoping from more from an Amouage scent and the cost ! On my skin it’s a very close skin scent with not great longevity or projection ! Although I think it’s a pretty well blended quality scent it’s nothing that blew my mind and would definitely not purchase again

AlexandriaCleopatra

My favourite Amouage of all time (although I like "Gold" very much).

I find this my grown up, going out scent. I get the white flowers first but as it dries down, on my skin, it leaves a quite heady incense, oud like smell which, being an oud fan, I adore. I have noticed on others that it smells entirely different, greener and more ambery. A good perfume smells different on everyone.

If price is no issue, I would wear it every day. Lol.

Gintaxx

Amouage quickly has become my favorite fragrance house, Honour is easily top 3 for me. A very beautiful, dense white floral, that has some darkness and mystery to it.
It opens up somewhat sharp and spicy, but then slowly the florals and the incense come forward. Rhubarb gives it a green crispy texture. The incense here is very soft and quiet, yet noticeable. The green notes become much more prominent later on and stick around till the drydown. And by green, I mean lush, freshly picked flower leaves and stems. Also something dark, soil, damp is in there. But front and center is your beautiful, intoxicating, luscious white floral powerhouse. Beautiful soft drydown. It's elegant, it's mysterious, it's an absolute stunner! Amazing longevity, and great projection, Amouage has done it again!

danygurl06

My skin and nose doesn’t like this fragrance at all. First, it comes across as a very mature and common smell. It reminds me of an older church lady scent. Then the rhubarb in this smells like fruit on the verge of rotting. It’s like overly ripe fruit or vegetable that’s turning sour. It is a rotting sickly sweet. I don’t think I can concentrate on finding the florals in this without feeling sick.

I literally feel like the morning after getting wasted and smelling some fruity alcoholic beverage that’s been sitting out all night while being hungover.

katrin.niisuke

Very much Rose Arabia Lily by Widian but 3 x more expensive. Longevity, projection, the way it works on the skin is practically identical. Only difference is that first half an hour on the skin is more sharp in Honour. So 90% dupe in my book. Great scent for lily of the valley fans

supdude8

Clean, green, realistic white floral. It's very gardenia heavy. I don't get much of the jasmine or tuberose. It doesn't have the "fleshiness" of Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower. This is a very likeable, work-safe scent.

Atlante_Pleiade

I bought a 2ml sample of Honour Woman this summer. I was not sure if I like this fragrance. It was opening very beautifully but after 30 minutes was setting a bit heavy on my skin.
The place where I live in, it is already autumn and I decided to give it another try and one day I wore it for work. Now I adore it! It is clean, rich and sophisticated fragrance! When I am wearing it, it makes me feel organised, that is why I like it for work.
I will just go for a full bottle.

swanscent

Amouage Honour woman is a love at first sniff for me. It's classy, luxurious, soft, innocent and perfect for a bride.

No, it is in no way an old school or outdated floral scent. I find this to be timeless, the perfect balance between the past and the present. I grew up smelling white floral everywhere around me and I have to say this is one of the finest white floral composition with the tuberose and gardenia as the main players.

I find it to project closer to the skin, but it lingers around you like a protective bubble. It's mostly powdery but it also has a slight sweetness on the background that you can almost taste.

I love this, rating it 8.5/10

suzu93

This is a wedding day scent, hands down. That’s how much I like this. It’s innocent, and so beautiful. Makes me think of white lace and white flowers. Pure perfection!

elledeelee

Overbearingly strong and cloying, a real nasty, old smelling perfume that might well induce a migraine. I really felt this one as it caught the back of my throat.

I gave it to my mum, who spritzed some on a hot summer afternoon on the patio, and in two minutes I was asking myself what that absolutely to-die-for-gorgeous smell was. My vile scrubber had turned into a thing of absolute beauty on her. So I guess it just goes to show, skin chemistry is everything!

Cal2601

I love white florals, I really do. I do however, have to be careful with tuberose scents because if they're deeply indolic they are headache inducing for me.
Honour Woman walks a very fine line of just heady enough for me and is a truly beautiful scent. I happen to have a tester on hand of Armani Prive Vert Malachite and it is incredibly similar tested on my other wrist to Honour, but Honour has slightly more complexity. The rhubarb note gives a fresher edge that Vert Malachite doesn't have, and a more prominent backbone of amber and soft spices. It is probably not unique enough for many niche perfume fans but if you really sit with it and compare it to other designer white florals, there's an elevated level of interest and layering in Honour that the others don't have.
Buy it if you love white florals and you've got the money for that next step up.

vindyag

Are you looking for a feminine white floral?
Not a big fan of Tuberose prominent white florals?

This is for you.

I find tuberose too "floral" in white floral perfumes so I was glad to find this. I love gardenia so that was a plus. This has good longevity.

I'm not sure how unique this DNA is for the amouage price point, though.

jenkuma

Prior to reviewing the notes I picked up a fruity jasmine/gardenia. This is the only Amouage perfume that I have tried (I've sampled 10 so far) that I would actually consider buying. Honour has a beautiful sweetness to it but sweet in the way that fruit is sweet, not sugary/gourmand. I suppose what I'm picking up is the rhubarb. The rhubarb and white florals work beautifully together. This gardenia, jasmine, and lilly of the valley make this perfume pretty and feminine while the rhubarb gives it a youthful and bright vibe. Sillage is great as well. I dabbed this fragrance on my wrist to test it and I kept catching the scent in the air around me. I picked up a very slight incense scent after about four hours, but it was very faint. Almost seven hours in and the incense is gone (which I'm perfectly fine with). I can still smell this on my skin seven hours later and it has held the scent that I picked up in the opening (white floral and sweet fruit bend). Other Amouage fragrances seem to dry down to very incensy, masculine notes- this one hasn't. I really like this one.

MariaMy

Hello lovelies

Ok the tuberose and gardenia is very strong

I have to be honest I got a scent from the body shop here in Australia ..
It was under $20 and has the same exact strength and smell ...
So if you can’t afford $400 on this don’t bother it truly is not worth $400 only the bottle is .

Scent 6.9/10
Unique 2/10
Compliments 4/10
Age - ageless 15 yrs and up
Time it stays on skin 7hrs
Time on clothes 10+ hrs

Oh! Yes I just remembered something a better version of this white floral is made by Burberry : Burberry London’s for women is much better and cheaper and instead of a 6.9/10 it’s a 7.9/10 and compliments 7/10 instead of 4/10 by amouage

Happy fragrance hunting

maddy.cucu

Truly a lovely fragrance in my opinion.
White florals have this stigma that they are “grandma scents” but I truly think white florals are elegant and classic. They can get quite heady and indolic, but I don’t find this is the case with Honour. I mostly get gardenia, jasmine, lily of the valley, rhubarb, and tuberose. There is an underlying creaminess from the resins/spices and perhaps incense and amber? I think it helped balance out the headiness of the white florals. But nothing sweet like Love Tuberose’s whipped cream. There is no sweetness here.

Reminds me a little of Dior’s Pure Poison and Versace Crystal Noir.

I would consider this a more feminine fragrance for the ages of 25+.
Has a mature quality to it and the lack of sweetness won’t appeal to many young women.

Not blind buy safe. I can see this fragrance being off-putting to many. Get a sample or decant and test is out for yourself

I’m really happy I got myself a bottle as I can really see myself getting use out of this especially as I grow older and find my taste is changing. FYI - layer this with Mancera’s Instant Crush and you’ll get SUCH a beautiful sweet white floral mixture. It’s fantastic!

Projection: moderate

Longevity: ~7-8 hours

Weather: spring and summer

Time: daytime wear, or hot summer nights (The rhubarb adds a freshness)

Occasion: lovely for weddings or formal occasions but I can see this being a classy day to day

Advaitaforever

The opening is one of the best white florals I have ever tried. It doesn’t have the usual alcoholic, nose numbing burst. This is a refreshing bouquet of white flowers with a natural sweetness arising from the floral essential oils. The texture is like a young flower petal, dewy, creamy and opaque.

I would say this has a less Oriental character than the other Amouages.

This fragrance is beautiful, elegant and pure. There is something solemn that induces the feeling of death and sacrifice that is masked under a layer of perfection. This is probably because I associate some of the floral notes with funerals. This scent is very regal, virginal and beautifully feminine. Gardenia and lily are the most pronounced, creating a very innocent character.

It would make a perfect gift but the performance is very soft

Anast4s1a

Very dense, creamy and really White aroma.
It enveloping in a thick cloud & gradually fills the all space around. An incomparable tune of flowers tuberose, jasmine, lilia, lily of the valley and incense. Just the perfect white bouquet for me and everyone around me.
It is very light, moderately sweet, mild and tender, much airy than Amouage Epic. Very cozy scent. This fragrance like a thick and snow-white summer cloud.

And the plume unreal...

HOUSTONHOUSTON

I love Tuberose and I love Amouage Dia but I dislike Honor. It was a surprise. The notes look good to me. I only get spiciness, grass and something unisex. So I would not call it a safe blind buy even for amouage and tuberose lovers. Try to test it first.

When I first spray Honour Woman I'm immediately reminded of Dior's Poison. Not in that it's a dupe or anything near it, but it has that same sweet heavy tuberose note. And then it goes off in a completely different direction. It smells a little bit aquatic, and maybe a little bit green, and a little bit fruity too. I really don't get an Oriental fragrance vibe from it at all.

Longevity is good, sillage is moderate after the initial burst of fragrance settles into the skin. I like it, it has those big bold white floral notes of fragrances that were popular in the 80s, but then fresher notes to keep it from smelling like a vintage reproduction.

Honour is a mild, delicate scent and I love it. On my skin almost skinclose but there for many hours, like a ghost - there -gone -and back again, teasing me. I love scent that behaves like that, I don't like strong dominant scents.
Its fresh in the Gardenia, Lily-on-the-valley, pepper and Rhurbarb-mix. The Gardenia is not typical whiteflower-heavy - here its light, fresh, mild and delicate. Lovely! 2-3 spray's is all I need, if your into heavy scents you will problably spray alot on your skin. On my clothes I can smell Honour the next day too. A come-and-hug-me-scent.

This's gorgeous scent!
Delicate white floral fragrance.
But somehow it reminds me of my grandma.I didn't mean it smell dated or old fashioned but my grandma used to wear a lot of elegant perfume.
This Amouage just reminds me of one of those. It's elegant but not so unique I guess.

Am I crazy to get a bit of a salt note in here?

This is stunning, and my glowing admiration for Amouage continues to grow. Every single scent of theirs that I've tried is of the highest artistry. I can't imagine them being executed any better. In fact, for all my ranting against high priced niche brands, THIS is one that absolutely deserves the hype and is worthy of the prices (though I'm still looking for bargains).

The scent is a gorgeous summer scent. Perhaps it's that phantom salt note that makes me feel it borders on beachy. But it's also spicy and dry, with a bit of tartness and enough white florals to have it border on tropical. But this is the most sophisticated tropical scent on the planet!

Perhaps someday I'll own a bottle. In the meantime, the decant I was gifted should last me a while.

cocofluff

This is very interesting. The opening is nice and tart. The mid smells like overripe and animalic/meaty white florals. The base is leathery on my skin. Solid like. To me this smells similar to Michael Kors and Narcotic Venus. -

Happiness_in_a_bottle"s review says it perfectly! Amouage is amazing. I had to greatly respect even the two I was not crazy about on a personal level because every ingredient is of the highest quality and blended so perfectly. Happiness, you should try Interlude Woman next. So unique and addictive.

Happiness_in_a_Bottle

I can't even begin to describe how much I like this perfume. After testing it in a perfume shop, I was amazed by the quality of the scent at each and every stage - beginning, middle notes, dry-down. Wear it proudly in summer, because it really blossoms in warmer weather.

When I am wearing it, I feel serene, content, put together, refined. It has white flowers, but don't think that they are heavy, off-putting white flowers. The smell is very feminine, but not too sweet. It would be perfect for a bride!

The sillage is not monstrous and I did not receive any compliments while wearing it, but, as I stated in another review, receiving compliments from other people regarding the perfume I wear is not that important to me.

Eagerly waiting to discover other Amouage gems. So far, I have tested Memoir and I was really impressed.

globato85

I originally bought this for my mom but she returned it to me because she didn't care for it. I can see why. The white floral opening gives way to a very spicy, smoky animalic scent. I actually love this. This is a white floral that I can adore. Very sexy and with lasting power. Luxurious is a word I would use to describe this.

My signature.....my the best love!

This is a very interesting mix of a fragrance, on my skin. I seem to be having a somewhat different experience than a lot of the folks who have already reviewed this. I don't know what to make of what this is.

The opening is a crushing wave of white floral, which I like very much. But, as I wear it the floral notes subside. I can detect the carnation, very subtly, in the background. But, the pepper, some soapier notes and the spicier notes linger. I can very much detect the incense on my skin. It seems to be far too spicy to be a "floriental". The spicy notes truly dominate the scent on my skin pushing it much further towards an oriental fragrance than a floral.

I can't say that I don't like it as much as it was not what I was hoping for, or expecting. If the floral notes had lingered longer it would be much more to my liking.

Bubbles1964

I disagree with those who say this is a grandma scent, or old timey. I think this is a full, warm, modern white floral (gardenia-Tuberose) scent. Traditonal, yes, but not dated. This a wonderful, and completely worth the price found on discount sites and then some.

The opening feels a little green and watery, middle is more tropical (I don’t know what note or accord is causing that sensation), then the base turns down the volume, but I don’t pick up any leather or incense. I still love it. Extremely wearable with great longevity on my dry skin. A miracle that it lasts past the 6 hour mark.

I’ve read that some people think this is too simple, but I applaud this effort. I have more perfume than I can wear in my lifetime, but this is on my purchase list.

rola.asad

It is indeed an old fashioned white floral, nothing wrong with the scent, but for the price point, I guess there are many better options to go for!
7/10.

Now, the reviews that are saying Honour is an old grandma perfume, are not being fair. It sure is classy and timeless, but old? Not at all. This is very pretty, inoffensive. I actually like it a lot, but for me the problem is that it doesn't have a "kick" or a funkiness to it that makes it unique and worth the $$$. Being pretty isn't good enough for me. I need character. Safe perfume for a classy rich lady who is discreet (old money). This lasts about 5 hours on me.

Vanilla panda

Elegant, old-fashioned, feminine floral.

Artful combination of musky white florals and carnal tuberose with a slight peppery tang.

Rhubarb, carnation and pepper/coriander corns combo is brilliant!
Not too sour, not too spicy.

Delicate basalmics just enhance beautifully that classy, timeless EDP.

This is an absolutely great perfume I could imagine my grandmas and grand aunts wearing - to match their elegant and distinguished auras.

daiva.jameikis

Reminds my grandma. Old fashioned smell . White flowers and smells cheap.. not for me

wg_jy

It is a old fashioned white floral scent. I got one compliment but I think it is because it has good projection and the girl smells on me and feels why not just give a compliment. She does not even want to know what perfume I was using. myself is not very impressed with the smell, it is not unique, not quite pleasant. To me, I only sense it as serious white flora scent for a 50 year old lady who does office job and single.

Annabear

Gardenia and tuberose, creamy, elegant and refined. A good example of Amouage high quality. I wouldn’t decline a bottle if it were a gift but I would be unlikely to spend the $$ because it’s just not a unique stand out for me.
Still, it’s beautiful.

Firestarter

Love at first whiff! It smells like you're swimming in a river filled with white flowers or like a big big bouquet of white flowers in a vase. Lovely!

justfloral

Very wax-y, thick gardenia based white floral. It smells almost like a floral candle.

Gardenia + mock orange + green apple + wax.

dzingunyte

Dewy, spicy floral. Love this much in first 5 min im wearing it. Not in your face perfume, but high quality indeed. Now it melts on my neck skin. Delicious, juicy floral boquet :)

freddinos

I was hoping for a big white floral.
However, my skin chemistry amplified a spicy undertone, I cannot explain what note could it have been, only that it’s an accord very recognisable as Amouage. In fact the white florals were way in the background on me.
Good sillage and longevity.I also got the aquatic feel as other reviews mentioned, ugh I don’t like this vibe at all:/

Cauda Pavonis

Hypnotic floral. Big, sweet, slightly soapy white floral. Not particularly earth-shattering but, as I'm a sucker for these big florals, I'm really enjoying it, especially the opening. It's a sweet, somewhat heavy floral, similar to Hypnotic Poison but nowhere near as overwhelming. Yes, Honour is not particularly original or interesting. However, as it's an Amouage, it's is made of the highest quality ingredients. Is it worth the price tag? Probably not, but I'm really enjoying myself regardless. Exuberant and luxurious.

LiliaBetty

What’s strange about this perfume is that the scent kept changing by the hour on my skin. The first time I sprayed it on, i thought it was just another floral fragrance, nothing special here.... . But that night, honour changed into something else, it became creamy and so alluringly wonderful, I can’t get enough of. the longer I had it on my skin, the better it gets.

I’m not sure if it bears any similarity with Aurum. I happen to own Aurum as well. Perhaps later I’ll spray on each wrist to compare. But both perfumes are equally beautiful and long lasting on me for sure.

mirrorghost

backstory: i was in berlin a couple years ago and had a couple drinks at the ritz carlton, which had a whole bar based on perfume, and i had the honour drink (which was so good.) i initially hadn't had honour on my wishlist, but after that experience, i knew i had to try it.

this starts off green and grassy with white florals. gardenia seems to be the most prominent. i love gardenia, but green notes and my skin chemistry don't always get along, and i think that's what is happening here-i get a bit of a headache from this because my skin seems to amp up the green notes. this seems like a bit of an homage to big bold floral 80s scents. it's very pretty, though i'm just not sure how much i could wear it.

ghadaalboghdadi

This is my first Amouage. A blind buy.
I am a total white floral Jasmine tuberose fan so I thought I wouldn't go wrong. However,
This was a disappointment.
I don't hate it. But I had high expectations.
It's VERY weak.
I don't like how it turns into old woman perfume in the end.

If you want whitefloral woody mix go for Bikini Questa sera by Louboutin, or Jasmine rouge by Tom Ford. Jasmine Rouge especially beats this by MILES.

Here's a simple review.

I love this fragrance, top notes are stunning, but the base is confusing due to how green it is. I literally smell fresh grass and that's gross.

I smell no incense whatsoever, maybe its just me though.

Price is too high for such scent.

Amouage perfumes really are their own creatures. Honour Woman does white floral in a big unapologetic way and I love that. Some people might want to classify this as an older lady perfume. I think it's just an amazing compilation of white flowers done well with rhubarb thrown in to break the sweetness. To me, the gardenia, tuberose, jasmine, and lily of the valley beckon me into an adult scent. Not old lady, not teenager, but a woman who is ready to take on the world. This perfume make me feel dignified and powerful, like it really could be me doing the conquering.

SuzanneS

From the first spray- this was a love.

Its gentle white floral are like blossoms floating down a river where dreams and wishes are made. Its aquatic freshness- is perfection.

I live in a hot climate, and white florals can lean heavy in such areas. Honour is a perfect, elegant cooling white floral antidote to the unrelenting heat. The delicate, clean approach won my heart instantly. Blooms in the heat.

Arlene-Beatrix

Nice floral scent, elegant, office safe. Unfortunately, wow factor is not there.

MissAnnette

What I love about Honour Woman is there are times it is a green white floral, and there are times it is creamy. I do not know which I am going to get but both are equally lovely. It's very long lasting on me with moderate sillage and projection on cold days and heavy on hot weather.

Great gardenia frutal.

Summer, near the sea and when the sunset arrives, everything lights up with this smell of gardenias, gardenias combined with the heady aroma of a nard with a soft animal facet, meanwhile, a group of people gathered open and eat a refreshing watermelon and Very sweet, everything is mixed in the environment and the sensations become magical, unique and very special.

Amouage brings us the gardenia of the sunset, very realistic, is an aroma that reborn every afternoon with all the power of a narcotic flower, is very alive, with aquatic facets, is very sensual and that sweet and fruity effect makes it irresistible and tremendously Feminine

I loved it.

This is the big, white floral for people who don't especially like big, white florals. Lots of gardenia - maybe too much for my taste - with a bit of rhubarb to cut the cloying sweetness.

Disappointingly, this never becomes an Oriental for me. Trying to compare this with other Floral Orientals really shows how far off this perfume is categorized. Try imagining this next to L'Heure Bleue, Sheherazade, Black Orchid, Opium Vapeurs, Boucheron or Euphoria...or anything else in the Oriental Floral category. Honour just does not fit that group. Honour is a big, white floral. Let's just be okay with that.

As a floral, it's not the best and not the worst and not really worth the price it commands. It's nice enough, but not a favorite.

chloeh

This is based on a Notino sample:

Goes on sharp and slightly melancholy, but then sweetens up a bit.

Unfortunately, initially, the carnation is too much, for me.

I think my skin must amp carnation, which is unfortunate.

As, although I don't mind it on the flower, I don't really want to smell entirely, or even mostly, of carnations.

Then a soapy note quickly appears that I’m, also, not so keen on.

It’s the lily of the valley and that then becomes the enduring centre of this fragrance, for me.

I think Honour (at least, near the beginning) smells very much like a National Trust Lily of the Valley soap, on my skin.

Suddenly had a vision of the inside of a National Trust shop I used to go to with my mum, as a child/teen!

It’s not unpleasant.

In fact, it’s really quite pretty, in an oldy worldy, very English, kind of way.

However, it’s not for me.

Even though I am English, I don’t tend to go for Olde English, soapy scents (lavender, lily of the valley etc.).

I like slightly more exotic, or tropical, fragrances and was hoping for more tuberose (it’s definitely there, but it’s not winning) and a lot less carnation and lily of the valley.

If you do like the idea of a very traditional, British fragrance and either like, or don’t tend to amp those notes, this may well be one for you, though.

Honour does, in due course, become slightly less about those two flowers and more generically slightly sweet, on me; but, to be honest, it’s not particularly interesting, at that stage, as nothing much stands out.

Apart from a slightly gentler version of the lily of the valley (thank goodness), mixed with a mainly nectar-like suggestion of tuberose.

Pleasant enough, but rather dull, frankly.

Haven’t really reached the true drydown, yet – will add a comment on that if it is particularly notable, in any way.

All in all, not for me, but may well be very nice on others.

Truffles_L

Honour Woman has a sweet and fruity white floral open with lots of jasmine and tuberose. The notes were blended nicely, but not over-blended with a high projection. The middle softens, and stays fairly linear. It projects a bit more than a skin scent at six hours. It is an amazing, well-made white floral perfume.

Cassiano

Honour Woman is from 2011 and arrived along with the male version of the same name. Both fragrances were designed to portray the tragic story of Madame Butterfly, who speaks about the love of the geisha Cio-Cio-San for the US Navy Lieutenant Benjamin Pinkerton, and her anguish and waiting for three years, culminating in her suicide.
As the concept behind the fragrance says: "In honour of truth and beauty, her poetic love and sorrow echo eternally."

In the official composition there are notes of pepper, rhubarb leaves and coriander, followed by the body notes of jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, lily of the valley and carnation, on a base with notes of vetiver, amber, opoponax, Leather and frankincense.

On the skin, Honour Woman is a delicious white floral, very well balanced, sweet to the right measure and smoky by the fall of the petals. There is no much innovation and, for this reason, I will not invent unnecessary compliments. Here, we have a white floral, very well elaborated and created on the same standards as always, with a small difference (which is not so small): the famous white triad, composed of jasmine + tuberose + ylang-ylang, gained a peculiar touch, in which the latter gave place to a new member - the gardenia - that brought less power and more luminosity.

The result is a scent that revolves around the body notes, with much presence of jasmine and tuberose and a lot of control of the indolic nuances, balanced by the green facets of the lily and the natural elegance of the gardenia. However, I can hardly believe that there is any presence of vetiver and leather. The fragrance slowly evolves, becoming incensed by sweet-myrrh (opoponax) and frankincense. Nothing more than this. It also exudes and lasts a lot, in addition to combining with sunny days and spring nights.

The story of Madame Butterfly may even be sad, but the fragrance created to represent it is beautiful.

kastehelmi

I quite enjoy select white florals, but I hate all aquatic fragrances so far. I am retesting this years after first stabbing it on and tossing it to the back of my sample drawer. It smells like an expensive rendition of a green hotel shampoo using some high end white florals to offset the sharpness. Problem is, it's not harmonious. Look at all of the notes...Thirteen listed and the sharpest stand out, especially coriander. This is a relatively sweet white floral that is heady but not heavy. But wow, ridiculously harsh! This doesn't smell elegant to me. I don't think they used calones, but the sharpness here reminds me of the way that perfumes like Cool Water smack you in the nose.

Scentjoy

Afther an hour or so got such strong aquatic vibes i even had to wash it of. Didn't get to the oriental i guess...

Bstefcorbin

Very pretty and very feminine. This seems to me what a true "southern belle" would wear. A good girl like Olivia D'Havilland's character, Melli, in Gone With the Wind. Not Scarlet. She's a bad girl! The prominent flower is creamy gardenia, freshened up with the clever addition of rhubarb. This projects, and one spray is plenty for me. As with all Amouage perfumes the quality of the ingredients is evident. If you love gardenia this should be on your radar.

Madrona

The combination of white florals with rhubarb is genius. Gardenia seems to be the star player of the assortment of white flowers offered in this fragrance, much to my delight. The base is, importantly, non-vanillic oriental (vanilla would have been too much in this composition - the creamy white flowers are entirely enough!). Delightful.

Jyrhara

Sample n.4 from my Amouage set.
This is, for a change, a fruity floral I can wear. The rhubarb and leather remind me of L'Art de la Guerre from Jovoy, like Honour was the female version of that scent.
I don't get anything aquatic from it. It would be a love if my skin didn't amplify the rhubarb so much.
Overall a very refreshing, young fragrance. By young I don't mean it's girly, just that I would wear it in spring when everything is green and growing.

Adelaide Rocks

When I made my selection last month to get Amouage Honor from my subscription service I only saw one minor aquatic reference out of all the reviews. If only Rhaineclayton's review had appeared sooner!

I won't even try to give this a proper review since all things calone react badly on me, but be warned: Amouage Honor has a quite distinct and heavy aquatic note.

rhaineclayton

Starts off like a white floral but quickly turns to something slightly aquatic, reminding me of Issey Miyake (not the same, just some similarity).
Not bad but not my favourite Amouage.

mongibella

Very polite scent. Delicate white floral, clean, lily-of-the-vally and gardenia are the most detectable on my skin. Almost no silage, and low staying power. Elegant and well-blended, and utterly boring.

It is so unremarkable so I can't see any reason or note in this to justify the gigantic price. Usually I love white flowers and delicate perfumes - Chanel Gardenia is one of my favourites. But Honour Woman is just nothing, it's like clothes from the King's new clothes fairytale - it is supposed to be there, but it is not.
I didn't have high hopes on this so I'm not really disappointed, just feel I wasted a space on my wrist to test something really worthwhile.

Cherry_Darling

This smells so refined and elegant, not overbearing but complex and very white floral. Not too sweet either, and great lasting. Amouage always delivers, this is my second favourite Amouage scent.

Sherri81

This is the second Amouage I've tried, and although this smells better than the last one, it still doesn't impress me.

I put this on my skin, as well as my shirt, just to see the difference. On both, it opens with a sharp, screechy, scent. Within a few minutes that fades and it starts to smell like a clean, white floral. At this point I started to have some hope for this perfume. Unfortunately, on my skin, it gets a weird, synthetic, air freshener smell. It's like a combination of pairing the 'clean scent' laundry detergent and dryer sheets; it becomes a bit of an overkill. It is very long lasting on my skin, and although I haven't scrubbed it, I find myself hoping that this will just fade away entirely, very soon.

On my shirt..., it is a different storey altogether. As I said before, it does have that same harsh, screechy opening, but when that fades away it leaves a pleasant white floral scent. It gets a bit softer as the time goes on, and it starts getting a creamy, salty scent. On my shirt there is a similarity to Paco Rabanne's Olympea.

Apparently I like my white florals to get a bit warmer and creamier during the dry down, instead of straying towards the clean/synthetic smell, which is why this one isn't really for me.

It's been 9 hours at least now, and it is still going strong on both my skin, and my shirt. So longevity is not an issue for me. Sillage is probably within a couple of feet.

Soofiya

I love tuberose, gardenia, jasmin &... But I usually can't get along well with white floral dominated fragrances,I find some of them very sharp, soapy or old ladyish, also white florals have an indolic creamyness that after passege of time becomes boring and cloying for me
Amouage honour is one of few white floral scents that I love
It opens with spicy notes which calm down in seconds to a superlovely white floral cream with a hint of rhuburb,a sour and sweet fruity note that balances indolics,,I find it very luxurious soft, silky creamy, rich without being old and with a touch of sweetness, not too much
It's bright and perfect for spring and even summer
Rhuburb is a key note here, which adds naughtyness to white florals pure and innocent feeling
Longevity is great and sillage is more than moderat
I love this white pure spring scent, just as it's chic bottle,it's scent is also white with a touch of gold,a thanks god there is no heavyness,no arabic vibe here
This is my first amouage love❤

miletas89

It's funny - close to the skin, this is all jasmine & incense. But from far away, when you catch its trail, it smells like light flowers and suede! very reminiscent of Jo Malone's Peony & Blush Suede.
I imagine this would be very work-appropriate. Classy, light (not weak) clean and feminine.

"Con onor muore Chi non può serbar vita Con onore" One dies with honor who could not live a life with honor" - Madame Butterfly, Puccini opera finale

I have Cio Cio San by MDCI Parfums which I love very much and I feel it better represents Madame Butterfly but this fragrance by Amourage is also a beautiful description of the tragic Geisha. This opens up with spice notes typical of the Oriental fragrances: coriander and pepper. The white floral heart is mostly jasmine and gardenia to my nose but the tuberose is very clearly there as is the carnation. These are all very strong flowers which have the magic power to change themselves and feel very different in every fragrance I've worn. On here the flowers are melancholic and sad like the flower petals that Madame Butterfly and Suzuki her servant sprinkled all around the cottage to welcome that polygamist Pinkerton. They are sad flowers of farewell. The little lily of the valley note is also coming off as very light soft and funereal. These could pass for white funeral flowers but they still smell very good! If it wasn't for the base notes this fragrance would have worn like any ordinary white floral but the base is strong with notes I'm crazy about. They give the scent a very elaborate and strong foundation and substance. It's got incense, opoponax vetiver leather and amber. They smell very perfumy very potent and even a bit on the unisex masculine side. This fragrance may read Honour Woman but it's also for guys. This has a really strong incense note and it perfectly captures the Oriental spirit of the scent. Beautiful. Wears better in winter time because of the incense. It goes with formal evening wear. This was my first Amourage purchase and I love their fragrances.

ShinningLightOfThunder

It's elegant and delicious! I received a lot of compliments from other women regarding this perfume. Definitely worth the value.

neshat

strong tuberose and gardenia scent with great sillage.

In my opinion, this perfume is stunning. From the first time I sprayed Honour on my wrist I had the "ahhh" moment; what a gentle, unique beauty.

Essentially, on my skin, Honour is a light floral, not to be confused with 'weak', for this perfume has above-average strength (and frankly so it should for the price), and an almost aquatic feel which keeps it very fresh and stops it from being at all cloying or heavy. Sometimes fresh can be boring, but here it is not. It's very elegant and classic and I would say one of the few fragrances I think most people would enjoy smelling on someone else.

I picture a beautiful, expensive bouquet of flowers (jasmine, tuberose, lily, gardenia) glistening from recent rainfall.

Above all, it makes me feel special when I wear it - and isn't that what fragrance is about?

Highly recommend!

(accidentally logged out and posted this first as a guest, oops!)

I've sampled Honour Man years ago, and didn't like it unlike the other Amouage Man. Today, I received a sample of Honour Woman, this smells gorgeous, even if there is one (only one) flowery note that is similar to the one used in Sécrétions Magnifique, but in a great way!!!
Does anybody else smell similarities with l'Air du Temps?

swade

I wore this perfume to a party last night and this time I applied it just to my clothes which made it last longer and stay truer to its original scent. I was amazed at just how gorgeous this was. It was a super lush, well-rounded, elegant, expensive, and sophisticated smelling floral. I like florals and I've tried quite a few (three of my favorite florals are Flowerbomb, Quelques Fleurs, and Organza - a floriental) and all of them are wonderful but Honour easily surpasses them all and in comparison, other florals like Kate Spade's Walk on Air come across as a bit screechy. I don't know if it's a matter of ingredients or blending, but if I was looking for a floral for a special occasion, I would reach for this one first.

nice fresh scent , I like it .

Evocativo e fine.

miletas89

I expected this to be thicker, heavier, creamier, and more lush than it is. Not bad, but is instead very green, fresh, and aquatic.

Addict2Perfume

I instantly fell in love with Honour Woman by Amouage! It opens with the most gorgeous, lush gardenia and sweet rhubarb scent that is a little nostalgic for me because it reminds me of that zebra gum – I believe it was called Fruit Stripe gum when I was a kid. After the initial opening calms down Honour smells like the original Christian Dior Poison on me, just without the honey note. I get a green tuberose with a mix of smokey-sweet incense and opoponax that has a subtle, yet ever present coriander note. I love that this has an elegant tropical vibe to it without being a teenaged sugar-fruit bomb. It’s luxurious, pure class all the way and I feel like I have a little piece of heaven with me every time I wear it!

Beautiful oriental floral, opulent, but not overwhelming. Not sweet, not bitter, but very balanced. Great for specific occasions.

I am not really a white flowers kind of person-- I love them on other people though. The first time I smelled Honour, I was smitten. I loved the greenness in the opening, but the drydown became too peppery and carnation-y on me for my liking. The second time I wore it, I felt like I was drowning, and didn't think I would bother trying it again. However, today, I woke up craving it, some months later. Now it is hot out, and while I still don't feel like it is very me, I realized that on fabric, the drydown smells a lot like the original Lauren from Ralph Lauren! I absolutely loved that scent as a teen, and I have missed it. It has a very similar density and sillage as well.
I think for those who love white flower scents, this would make a really nice everyday scent, as it is just so pretty. Nice for a wedding, too.

I am not a big tuberose/gardenia person, really, though I do love jasmine.. I have had issues with fracas (too screechy on my skin) and carnal flower (too green, though it may grow on me eventually), SL's criminelle (too mentholy)... however. That being said, this scent may have converted me to a tuberose and gardenia lover!

It is just so, so, purely beautiful. It isn't too soft (I wouldn't be able to smell it if it was) and it manages to be both bold and easily noticed without being too loud or screechy. I don't know how they did that. It comes off as a lovely, creamy, almost "buttery" feeling, heady bouquet. The pepper is not detectable to me at all, and it's not "too" green (although it is fresh.) I absolutely love it, and have been plotting to get a bottle ever since I tried a sample.

I see many people writing reviews on here have changed their mind after sampling this a few times, so this is one I would advise reviewers to wait to develop and even sample a few times before forming an opinion. It just gets more and more beautiful as it remains on your skin, and seems lovelier each time I wear it.

I have been searching high and low for gardenia since Marc Jacobs Essence was discontinued. I have beaten myself up for years for not buying a bottle back then. The issue is that I am so incredibly picky about the quality of gardenia perfumes because they MUST smell like the gardenia bushes from my childhood home, and these days they simply don't craft perfumes that well anymore. I tried so many others--Michael Kors, Songes, Un Matin d'Orage, the new Kate Spade...nothing pleased me enough to buy a full bottle. Honour Woman, at long last, is the closest modern perfume I could find to a true gardenia. It is creamy and heady, with a hint of green. If I scrutinize, I can smell black peppercorns, but it blends so well that it does not bother me at all. I am very happy to have found this and to have received a small bottle in a swap.

I put this on blindly this morning without knowing the notes. I wore Epic yesterday and had assumed this one would be similar.
I am quite picky when it comes to white florals, since Fracas was my first love and the standard by which I compare every other white floral. This opened with a very loud green gardenia. Since I work with sensitive co-workers I thought I would have to wash it off. Yesterday's Epic lasted well over 12 hours on me with a gorgeous frankincense that kept me enraptured all day long.
The heart got louder and louder, but then quickly settled into a gauzy veil of gardenia, tuberose, and jasmine. The gardenia is the star, and the tuberose is the co-star. I like my jasmine dirty, and I was hoping it would deepen the composition, but it didn't show up until almost the end.
The whole composition wears very cold, and feels very distant and formal. I like my tuberose either warm & sunshiney like in vintage Balenciaga Michelle, warm and green like the hothouse smell of Carnal Flower, warm, creamy and glamorous as in Fracas, or pure and natural as in DSH Essenza d'elle Ibisco. This was cold and formal, so it's not for me. My wallet is very happy.
Kudos to those who can pull it off.

White florals, fine green notes, carnation, spices and amber in the perfect amount and combination so that nothing would hurt anybody's senses.
One of the finest things I've ever smelled in this category.

Had high hopes for this, but I'm disappointed in this one....and I'm a white floral lover. I get no gardenia. I do (just!) get a lovely, indolic jasmine, a good muguet and tart green rhubarb but then to my nose the rest is swamped by too much coriander and a salty, dirty melon note which I hated so much that I had to scrub it after wearing it for 4 hours (at which point the grungy, seawater-soaked melon hadn't even begun to subside!); after that, in the remains of the perfume on my wrist, I could at last smell sweet tuberose and resins, with a little frankincense, which was quite lovely.

To be honest, I haven't "got" any of the Amouage perfumes I have tried so far, so for me the search continues.

Honour (def) high respect; esteem. I'd say that about sums up this beauties place in my wardrobe.

Despite the white floral holy trinity notes(gardenia, jasmine, tuberose) nestle snugly in the heart of this creation, Honour Woman's beauty is more of an expression of notes not so overtly endearing.

For me,it is the coriander...the pepper....the tart rhubarb which pull me back, time and again. They take on the role of celebrating the white florals, uplifting them and preventing the thick, sometimes suffocating effect of strong florals. Here the white floral notes are not allowed to be too creamy. They have been made slightly dusty and a tad spicy by the coriander and pepper and bittersweet by the juicy rhubarb. Perfect, really.

Honour Woman stays on my skin forever and if you are really lucky, and some days I am, Honour Woman's beautiful combination of notes become ever so animalic on the skin. I love how it smells on my skin mixed with my day. My skin, but better....indeed.

I got a sample of Honour from DaisyM (thank you :)) and OMG, I fell in love right away. This is THE fragrance for us who loves white florals. Honour is not the big ballsy one: It's soft like a silk veil, wonderfully balanced and blended, sweet, powdery with moderate notes of incense, balsam and fresh rhubarb.

I'm not going further into note descriptions as others already have done so very well, but I would like to say that I love Honour a lot more than Hermes Faubourg 24 EdP, which is another great white. It's suitable for weddings and summer gatherings ;) actually any time of the year, and it's on my want list :).

Honour Woman is beautiful...Fast Forward: Honour Woman Extrait 50ml...Unbelievably beautiful. Scent is so incredibly smooth. Unlike the other extraits which are a powerful version of the parfums, Honour Woman Extrait is different. its a beautiful white smokey clear soft gardenia with the jasmine doing a dance in then tuberose. Its not a single sent it is a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL, well composed serendipity.
I was not so swayed by a floral as I was by Honour extrait.
True its a punch in the gut to pay same as edp for half. However in reality its over the moon and only two squirt and the scent goes and goes.
Brilliant.

Im starting to love this one. Its the best gardenia on the current niche platform.
I recommend giving it a test.
This is not a complexed parfum. less dimension, no surprises. It is what it is in the beginning and the drydown.
pretty? YES
classy? YES
top gardenia ? ABSOLUTLY DARLING
Whats better than this? EXTRAIT HONOUR.

nanomira

It is nice, very nice, but not special. It is one white flower perfume among many. For my nose, jasmine, gardenia, and tuberose (in this order) are the most pronounced, and all the other ingredients are hardly noticeable.
