Oud satin mood???

Let’s be short ant to the point: cheap, sweet artificial smelling « orangy » fragrance. On top of that, it is very linear and of so faint! I will use it to spray the bedsheets.

I've seen this going cheap a few times and been tempted to blind buy it.
I've tried it now... and I'm somewhat less tempted, but not all the way entirely.
There's something I like about it's trashy, knockabout themes, the main one being mandarin, and bergamot which it conveys instantly, in a sort of vague, chalky floral cloud a little like the vague peach or apricot hint you get with osmanthus, except here it's with a definite mandarin note, so far so good then.
What is immediately apparent (and much moreso later) is a very creamy, sweetened, musk/sandalwood which is soft and likable and as the more volatile citrus and vague floralcy floats off into the air, you're left with something of a appealing skin/clothes sent of long gone fruit and tropical cocktail, and creamy aroma chemicals.
What I like is that it doesn't get progressively sweeter until just annoying musk and vanillin remain, which is what I thought might happen at one point.
Hey, as far as mandarin/sandalwood fragrances go, I'm struggling to think of a better one at this point (or any other one for that matter but there you go) and I was genuinely happy when I first smelled it but I would pay top whack for this, no way.

Oud isn't listed in the notes, but sadly, it's all I smell. And oud makes me very nauseason and gives me a horrible headache. I had to scrub this one off.

My first impression was meh.. but after a second spray I instantly fell in love with it. It is so delicious you guys, perfect for any occasion, calming and so yummi. Smells citrusy, woody and almondy. I also smell flower notes in it maybe vanilla too 😌 I just love it.
It smells like expensive, high end niche parfume, although it is a niche brand but more on the budget side. Masterfully done, leans more masculine though, so take it in mind ladies.

If you love citrus fragrances you cannot miss this majestic perfume that has the sartorial work to mix together gourmand/citrus/oriental and the longevity /sillage, so uncommon in citrus fragrances.
It is truly unisex, perfectly balanced. Cannot recommend too much. 4/5

This perfume blow me away! This is the perfect unique scent of citrus perfume. I used to hate this type of perfume on my skin. But Alexandre J. did an amazing job with this scent. This is creamy, elegant and luminous in the same time. You want to smell rich, expensive and bright, go get it, Guys!
Foncez !

Wow, that's a huge surprise! I got this scent myself as a blind buy and only because I found a bottle appealing. :D Oh, and the comparison to Mandarin Carnival TMoV spoke for itself. But Mandarine Sultane is completely different than I have expected.
It's actually a fragrance more suited for fall/winter time imho. Nothing crispy about it. On me it has even sort of oudish vibes. Deep, warm, woody. Mandarine? Yes. It's present. But not in a way this note is usually used in scents, as a refreshing adding. Here is like you'd been eating those fruits sitting next to the fireplace and drinking some booze (rum,I see in the pyramid):)
This scent is nothing I imagined it would be, but I love it that way even more!

That's the most fascinating fragrance ever...I love it, I spray it even when going to bed just for the emotion. It is strange that NOBODY, NO ONE has ever given me a compliment on this one????? I am not sure if the audience and fans that it has are enough but I can compare with Silver Ombre which is my identity perfume due to all the comments and compliments I receive on a daily base. I love it and this is my passion, however it does not work on everyone.

It was a blind buy for me and I really like it. I thought it will be fresh and summer fruity scent, but actually it is more deep and mature. It’s a creamy, rich, a bit musky, balsamic mandarine.
On my skin it has moderate sillage and longevity. One of my favourite Alexandre.J fragrances.

What a delight, this fragrance has it all.
It's crisp, but juicy and balmy, very sweet and comforting.
Reminds me somewhat of Alien, gentler, classier, less jasmin, more roundness.
The trick I guess is in the citruses coupled with almond and cashmere wood.
Delicious.

This is very beautiful, delicious and bright parfume. Opens with beautiful notes of mandarin and lemon, giving a feeling of positivity and imagination... this perfume is like being on an enchanted garden, it's dusty in the drydown with amber and cashmere that give support... I love this perfume and I will certainly try others from this house. I am satisfied with my purchase. I love this

I'm not a big citrus fan so I wasn't drawn to this fragrance, but I do enjoy the creativity and artistry behind Alexandre.J so I ordered a bottle for a great price. What's not to love?
Mandarine Sultane opens with a fresh blast of mandarin and citruses, a strong powdery accord, and that Alexandre.J DNA, which is hard to explain but you'll recognize it when you smell it. The opening wasn't my favorite part since, as mentioned, I'm not a huge citrus fan and the powdery accord surprised me in that most powders lean feminine to me. Conversely, it opens strong and a bit harsh (which I enjoy) which may be off putting for those looking for something softer. But the scent is quality, no doubt.
Thankfully the mandarin begins to tone-down within minutes, but never goes away...just slowly fades with the passing of time. Moreover, that powdery accord pretty much disappears within the first few minutes as white floral and sweet tones push forward along. I can detect neroli and orange blossom but not jasmine specifically, which I appreciate because strong jasmine scents lean heavily feminine on my manly skin. Those those of you who loves a fantastic jasmine fragrance, I would suggest you look at Rasasi Jasmine Wisp. It's awesome.
Woody, amber and a slight musky tone push forward in the base to blend with the heart of this fragrance along with the mandarin which hold-on but continues to fade. The drydown is my favorite part of Mandarine Sultan, which is completely unisex IMO, whereas the early stages lean a bit more feminine. Performance is pretty good is that it lasts 7-8 hours on my skin and project moderately, overall, although it is quite potent and distributes a large scent bubble for the first 20-30 minutes.
Overall, I like this one and find it perfectly suited for the Spring and Fall seasons; it's a bit too heavy for the Summer months and too bright for the Winter. Although this fragrance could be dressed-up or dressed-down, I find it better for casual wear. Cheers.
