"Il Sentiero Degli Dei (the path of gods) is one of the most beautiful and famous hiking trail of the mediterranean coast for its stunning Sky Line between Bomerano and Nacelle, small township that rest high above the Amalfi coastline, a famous stretch of coast south of Sorrento.
This incredible route, Where the ridges of Lattari’s Mountains slide and sink into the blue of the sea toward the Island of Capri, still tells its miths and legends to people who live there and to walkers.
The name of this beautiful trail derives from Greek mythology and the story of the encounter between Ulysses and the Sirens.
Legend situates the home islands of the Sirens as being Li Galli, the small archipelago placed just to the west of Positano. As the story goes, Ulysses had his men strap him to the mast of the ship while his crew muffled their ears so they would not hear the fateful song of the Sirens. The Gods of Olympus, flew down to Earth to prevent their favorite from becoming shipwreck. But they landed a good way to the east and, in their haste to save Ulysses, stampeded along what was then a pristine and gentle coastline, leaving in their wake the cliffs and beautiful landscape we now call the Amalfi Coast.

Legends aside, there are a lot of historical evidences tell us that many travellers of the Grand Tour (Goethe, Lenormant, Mendelsson, Wagner.. and many more) knew about the Path of God, extoling its beautiful landscape.

Il sentierodeglidei by Nobile 1942 will Walk you through the smells of this path: luminous and sparkling top notes of Lemon green leaves are blended with a floral bouquet of Rose, Jasmine and Iris in the heart notes. The drydown is woody with hints of amber and tonka beans that create the perfect sillage." - a note from the brand.

Fresh citrusy opening (veeeery zesty) with some clean soapiness (not irritating one). Lots of orange blossom. Really smells like a luxurious soap. Super fresh but definitely not for everyone.

An Italian fragrance with lightness. On me, lemon, candied sweetness and woodiness in almost equal balance, with the other notes, like iris, in the periphery. It has an intimate sillage, discreet for a summery fragrance. Think Il Sentiero might come out to play more in hotter weather. As it is now, very lovely, brightly but perhaps a bit too subtle. Will take this to Italy with me.

Il Sentiero Degli Déi was launched in February 2018 and is part of the Fragranza Suprema collection, whose fragrances have a concentration of Eau de Parfum. Its name means, in English, The Path of Gods.

Its name, as well as the concept used in the creation of the fragrance, speaks about a path along the Amalfi Coast, whose story continues to be told by the inhabitants of the region for all new visitors. This story tells that Odysseus (Ulisses) asked to be tied to the mast of a ship while his crew tried to cover their ears in an attempt not to succumb to the sirens' song. So, the Gods of Olympus came to Earth to avoid the shipwreck. They ran along the coast, creating, with their trail, the beautiful landscape that is now called the Amalfi Coast.

Il Sentiero Degli Déi is classified by the manufacturer as a fruity-floral fragrance. It has notes of Italian lemon, green leaves, and fruity accord in the opening. The body is floral and carries notes of jasmine, rose, orange blossom, and iris. At the base, notes of amber, musk, tonka bean, and wood were combined. There is no indication of the creator, just that he/she belongs to Robertet.

Il Sentiero Degli Déi's fragrance may take a while to win you over. The first time I wore it, what stood out was the most citrusy part. I thought it was good but too soft. However, when I decided to test it again, I had another impression, much more positive. This time, the citrus output brought more soapy and elegant nuances, which presented a greater explosion on my skin and a slower evolution, as discreet as it may seem.

The central part is also noticeable and, at the same time, has a unique delicacy. The focus here is on being vibrant and daytime, with enough adaptability to become a signature scent. It is also worth saying that the base is not as impactful as it seems. Although it is possible to feel some facets of the tonka bean and amber, the expectation of a denser and warmer dry down did not come true.

In my opinion, Il Sentiero Degli Déi is easily shareable and brings a side of the Italian landscape that highlights more the flowers than the sun, the sea, or the fruits of the region. It doesn't have a common fragrance, but neither does it deliver something totally innovative. Quality is easily noticed, projection is low, but durability is very good, especially on cooler sunny days like in the Autumn.

Il Sentiero Degli Déi sounds like the muffled song of such sirens, which doesn't quite penetrate the ear but is persistent and charming.

This is a breakthrough fragrance for me. I have been searching for years for a new "signature" fragrance. I have noticed my nose has become more sensitive over the years and I have problems with "hairspray" notes in several scents. I used to wear Armani Code Women and Dior Hypnotique Poison, I err on the side of "fresher" and "cleaner" citrus scents these days. Could be my age and constant presence in staid professional settings. Regardless, my palate seems to have changed. I obtained a tester of this several months ago. I did not think much of it during the first application, as I was trying out a lot of fragrances at that time (many on the same day). But I have revisited my tester of this now and it is hitting me hard with its beauty. The initial hit of citrus and some floral leads into a sweet fruitiness that plays well with my skin after about 30 min. The further dry down is subtle but lasting, with new florals and woodsy notes emerging in hours 3-5. Five hours later and it is still present, but not overpowering. Sillage was never high, but staying power is surprising. This is a unique take on citrus and I really enjoy it. It could be a contender for my next signature scent (also in the running is Nobile 1942's Vespri Esperidati).
