To me this smells like a beautiful woman fresh out of the bath. A mixture of expensive shampoo and lotion. It is a truly wonderful scent that I love wearing fresh out of the shower, however, as a male I will admit it leans a bit feminine and is probably better suited for my girlfriend. I plan on giving my sample to her, but I may have to steal a spray on occasion after a nice hot shower for that extra squeaky clean feeling.

RyanDaRaider

I hate this frag, honestly might be one of MFKs worst.

Frangipanilove

Aqua Celestia. Its absolutely heavenly, like its name. Just the right balance of crispness and lightness from the lime, (pepper)mint and currant leaf with sweet vanilla and florals. Private paradise. Summer skies, soft rain, delicious florals with mimosa, undercurrent of vanilla, crispness of the black currant leaf keeping a freshness. Some similar ozonic note that runs through Cool Water for Women in the background in Aqua Celestia. I absolutely love this scent. Perfect for late spring and summer. Sweeter yet tarter than Herba Fresca, another perennial summer favourite.

benkim

Definitely have grown on me after 5 or so wearings in the time frame of 6 years. I disliked it, but not a scrubber, but now I am appreciating this more.

This is a clean citrusy, minty, musky scent that is quite tart. This tartness can scare some people away as it did with me.
The mint has somewhat menthol-esque quality to it which uplifts the musk and lime/bergamot quite nicely.
That being said I cannot justify spending MSRP on this profile.

toosimilar

It is like melissa water, difficult (not heavy) to wear
I'd say it leans more masculine

andycandy1

Not impressed at all

chlorophyll24

I wanted to love this one, but it smells EXACTLY like Batiste Original dry shampoo. It's not a bad scent, just way too expensive to smell like a cheap dry shampoo.

Winniye

Im not sure if its a love, but i like it alot.

It opens up with a photo realistic mint to my nose, or more a breath mint which i think is very intresting!
People saying it smells like a Mohito cocktail are spot on when i think about it, with a nice black currant in the back.

When it dries down it settles down from the agressive (but nice) brethmint/mohito scent to a more relaxed and nice lime with that musk and a background of mint instead. Im not sure went noseblind but not an hour later and i cant smell it, still like the scent tho.

AngelsInAmerica

I become nose blind quickly with this fragrance after 20 minutes however the project must be great because I receive more compliments from my guy friends and than girl friends.

I appreciate the cool refreshing lime mojito aspect of the fragrance you can wear it anytime of the year. For reason I get a very San Diego vibe from this scent.

RottigrlNYC

Very nice freshie. I love the aqua line, I have all of them in Forte but this one I prefer the original. The rose note makes all the difference. Very nice. 10/101

KvepaluNatos

The fragrance is perfect for both, women and men. Real refreshment for the body and soul. Reminds me of a Mohito cocktail with ice, you want to drink them.🤭 🍋 The best fragrance for summer🔥

Lykopa

Fresh and almost aquatic, like a mojito. This is the perfect scent for when you just can’t beat the heat. It settles into a clean scent that I would love to smell on my boyfriend or myself. So pretty.

ech0

This is a very amazing scent, heavenly, silvery, watery, fresh.

Riverwind79

I really love this scent. Though I recall years back I went to test this out and I smell it from the paper tester strip and I didn't really like it. I guess the combination of blackcurrent with neroli really feels a bit off-putting to me. But then just over the recent weekend, I went to test this perfume again and the kind MKF counter girl said I should test it out on my skin as well. And oh my.... why does it smell so different? Along my way home, I kept getting the smell of the perfume and I can't stop thinking of it. It is really nice and I love it! I do also love the name of this perfume... Celestial water.

Lallish74

Soapy women scent. Extreamly pleasant to the nose but its a very feminine take on the fresh summery vibe

alcantarbarraza5

Demasiado exagerado las notas verdes y un limón muy filoso escandaloso no me gusto apesar de que es una perfume cítrico que se supone no debe ser ostigante, para si lo fue y además ese aroma por ese precio yo no lo pagaría

derby2169

Minty tart opening, right of the bat quite sweet and this a certain cosmetic undertone. It develops in a strange direction somewhere between an artificially flavored strawberry ice cream and a laundry gel detergent, with intense floral musks in the base.

Definitely fresh and clean, with strong projection, it will get the job done, but on a compositional and artistic level it feels kind of jumbled and unpleasant to smell. Of course this is all very subjective.

Golcher

It's beyond me how this is in MFK's homme line. This is clearly unisex leaning on feminine which is not an issue, one can wear whatever they feel like and I don't mind wearing a fragrance that's on the feminine side as long as it's a fragrance I really enjoy, like Torino 21.

Aqua Celestia is actually quite nice however, there's a note that's very off-putting to me. Something here reminds me of nail varnish so the fact that this note is feminine is not the issue, it's the actual smell of this note however, when it dials down it's a very nice fragrance just not worth the price tag.

Francis Kurkdjian is a genius and he's proven it over and over however, out of the fragrances I've tried from his house (Aqua Celestia, Gentle Fluidity Silver, L'Homme à la Rose and BR540) I just don't see this genius reflected on his creations. Yes, BR540 is huge, I'm not a fan though as it's way to sweet for me.

klioux

I'm completely surprised that I like this so much. I generally avoid blackcurrant, neroli, green notes, and most roses - and somehow this combination brings them into a perfect delicate balance. This is morning dew on a well-kept lawn on a bright cool morning.

aaaris

I'm usually not a big fan of green freshies but this one is just so beautiful! I don't work out much but I wear this whenever it's hot out or I have fencing practice.

Gatorsrules

Mojito in a bottle. One of the few citruses I love! Fresh, green, and fruity. Sharp citrus and fresh notes give the fizzy vibe. Overall wonderful!

FirstSense

Almost no words after taking home the tester strip. This is fresh citrus lime heaven. Black Currant, mint and mimosa blended into perfection. Masterpiece ultimate. This perfumer is leading the world of fragrances big time. Respect and humble celestial serenity.
Ps: 24-8-22. I received the bottle and this creation is even above my expectations. It's heavenly and leaning towards feminine but it is utterly beautiful. And the silage and performance are beyond belief. One spray before swimming and a long shower afterwards and I can still smell a elegant musky flower whiff of this fragrance. Unbelievable and amazing. Price is absolutely worth every penny. Mister Kurkdjian, you are a genius.

Shui-Xian

Aqua Celestia presents true serenity for me.

The opening is delightful fruity and fresh. Mint and currant in very pleasing combination.
Then the fragrance turns into powdery-soapy and sweet. Roses are nonchalant: more like the breeze that blows around the rosebush than the flower itself. (I prefer this version than Aqua Celestia Forte, where the jasmine is dominant and emotionally heavy.) Too soft and sweet to be unisex, I think, however the green tones are significant too.
The base is evident in the projection, but it does not show much on its own.

All components are so aligned that I would call this perfume simple. Courteous and breezy - and that is beautiful enough. Perfect for working hours as a fragrance that will be pleasant to everyone and wouldn't be distracting.

Sillage moderate, longevity 4-5hrs.

SensitiveRecluse

This smells like Sprite! The mint, citrus. and sparkling notes! Then it develops into an extremely aquatic fragrance, soft and well-rounded. My dad says this smells heavenly and angelic. Perfect for warm weather and the office.

If you like aquatic, unisex fragrances, you should also check out Feel N' Chill which is equally aquatic but with coconut, watermelon, and fig.

Rosemary14

I can see the enormous attraction of this fragrance. This is not ivory or warm it’s silvery white like a twinkling star or white diamond. It’s bright and sparkling with zingy fresh lime, the alive green facets of mint, and leafy neroli. It has some sunny, innocent mimosa, and fluffy musk. It does have a bit of a soapy fresh quality, but it’s a very sophisticated soap you find in a glittering natural country estate French Hotel. Whomever said that this is in the same style of fragrance as Creed Aventus or Silver Mountain Water is on to something. They don’t smell the same but are both incredibly likeable, clean, refreshing, summery fragrances or “freshies.” But, these types of freshies in these two houses might be the most sophisticated and high end of this particular style and they smell expensive.

I swear I smell cedar, but who knows. This is incredibly wearable for anyone at any time and it’s just likable. This is a crystalline, sunny, perfect walk in an orchard wearing unblemished white.

eribean

This is so pretty and refreshing. It reminds me quite a bit of my fist perfume live, CK Escape, but done in a lighter and more modern way. The zestiness of the citrus & lime notes, which I really love, didn’t stay on my skin very long, which made the dry down (while nice) less interesting for me.

Miss.Tara

I got a decant of this in hopes of finding something with the same ethereal crystal clear scent with a ribbon of green floral wisping in and out that I'm addicted to in the discontinued Chanel Cristalle. This isn't at all as airy as Cristalle EDT, but it is a pretty citrus floral that is very strong. Not as aquatic as Creed Fiorentina, not as sharp but very similar to Creed Spring Flower, and just as happy and perky as Clinique Happy minus the amber. This isn't a green scent like No19, and there is too much citrus to be an aquatic, granted that depends on the definition. This is a pretty, (not beautiful enchanting or ethereal) citrus floral on me.
Edit: Okay, I’ve worn this more and I don’t get as much citrus like before. Oops, I wonder if MFK Aqua Universales was stuck on my shirt from two days previously. This is a waterlilly bomb! I love it! What’s that? There isn’t waterlilly listed? We’ll fine, the musk and green notes are relentless and beautiful.
Wow, these are powerhouses. That’s saying a lot from this genre of scents!

Gi5elle.C

This reminds me of Chanel Cristalle, only slightly more masculine. I adore this, but cannot justify the price tag since it doesn’t last long on me at all.

Corvo

A beautiful, sharp fresh lime opening followed by smooth summery floral dry down.

I got this as a sample from the MFK Men’s discovery collection, however this leans feminine to my nose and if I smelt this on another man, I’d be inclined to think he’d threw on his girlfriend’s perfume by mistake whilst in a rush to leave the house.

That being said, I think this would be a great summer scent for women... although maybe not great enough to justify the price tag.

HorseFriend

I'm only getting floral, none of the fruit or mint. Is my nose broken? Bad batch? Confusing....

mastergaffs

After my 3rd day wearing this, I'm sold. It was 95⁰F yesterday and I put it on , sprayed a few under my shirt on my clavicle. It's still there this morning. Such a fresh beautiful scent. Very clean and definitely becomes more masculine on my skin. But this is the fresh maker scent that truly lasts. It's unique, it's not loud and it just works in the heat exactly how I would want it too. If you live in a hot climate, definitely get a sample and wear it a few days to see what you think. This would be hard not to enjoy.

ValleyGirl86

This scent reminds me of my go to summer drink - Vodka Soda with Lime. It doesn't smell alcoholy or boozy.....it's probably the Lime that gets me. It's super refreshing, and I do occasionally wear it on really hot days. It's so clean and crisp and fresh and light and uplifting.

taurusenergy

I wanted to love this, but there's a tangy brininess in the background that's holding me back. Overall it smells cool, refreshing, watery and clean, with hints of citrus and cucumber. But then there's that faint malt vinegar scent too. Honestly I get none of the listed notes from this. It's really blended into it's own "clean watery cologne" smell. Not a safe blind buy.

jazzyraspberry

The lightest, freshest sweetness.
Definitely citrusy from the lime, but sweetened by the blackcurrant. Underneath it is a faint floral that provides a coziness and "rounds out" the scent. These floral notes seem to emerge slightly the longer this scent settles.

Reminds me a bit of Molecule 05 without the "prickly synthetic" feel to it.
Despite being a fresh scent, it remains interesting.

Fcjuliet

Nice and fresh in the opening but then it becomes a super sweet powdery close-to-skin D&G Pour Femme dupe. I get buying a cheap scent that smells like an expensive one, but there’s no point when it’s the other way around.

ArrrDee

It kind of has a hint of soapyness to it, but it's pleasant overall. There's blackcurrant, a fresh mint, and a delicate rose that sticks out to me the most. Not anything I'd be interested in buying a full bottle of, though. I'm sure it would shine better in warmer weather.

Mackinacfleurs

I received a sample and I fell in love the moment I sprayed it on my wrist. Fresh, minty, mildly fruity and soft floral. To me the fragrance translates into a bright sunny, breezy day in the Tropics; surrounded by serene lush and fresh ocean breeze under a beautiful blue sky. Serene, fun, well balanced, elegant...and all these surrounded by the most immense love. Both my kids are World travelers and both separately told me this masterpiece reminded them to their travels to 🇵🇦 Panama. So there you have it! This is how the Country of Panama smells like!

Wizard Rev Hunt

Wearing a sample today sent by Twisted Lily.

I chose it as it was suggested as similar to DS&Durga's Coriander.

This is more feminine than Coriander. It is both tangy, citrusy, and flowery. To my nose these combinations are subtly annoying. Maybe it's the mimosa, white musk which clashes in a discordant not harmonious way with lime, mint, green notes. There's something intrusive, irritating, not ingratiating about the scent.

It reminds me of being out at the beach, enjoying the sand, ocean, sunshine, and eating a piece of bread and butter on a blanket, when a very loud woman, talking on her phone, walks by and she smells strongly of the scent.

I'm glad I have the sample as I would have been very stupid to blind buy this, especially at over $200 a bottle.

thefondest

Fruity, airy, and pleasant like a warm afternoon. Reminds me of getting mint lemonade slushies in the early weekend rush of pre-COVID summer Fridays. The smell of a bright, open day, free of obligations, and the copy is right to suggest it'd be a perfect beach day scent. Like sipping a berry mojito on the deck of a boat with the wind whipping at your hair. Very expensive for what it is though. I can't imagine you couldn't find a similar scent for cheaper.

MegWhite

This is expensive perfume that smells like cheap air freshener. It's ok, but it's gone after 30 minutes.

renashepet

I'm surprised that I actually love this one - I'm not a huge lover of "summer" scents but I've been trying more of them over the past year (I always hated Light Blue since I tested it in store a few years ago, and that memory has stuck with me). But this one surprised me. I have a little sample of it from MFK and like it more than Aqua Universalis (which I have a bottle of). This one has a bit more sweetness on my skin, but is still refreshing and smells like happiness and a bright summer day - I can see the mojito references, it does pull that way. I like universalis as well, but I mostly use that before bed on really hot summer nights.
If I want to tone down the sweetness on this, I mix it with Wood, Sage and Sea Salt. I will be getting a full bottle of this soon (hopefully before summer ends).

NordicEquinox

Aqua Celestia isn't as complex on my skin as some before has experienced the perfume . On me it turns out to be just like white musk from the Body Shop. Perhaps a little bit drier and not as sweet as white musk, but more or less the same. After three hours the fragrance is completely gone.

WGG

I'm a fan of lime and mint anyway, with the florals and musk this is incredible. I can see how this might be a meh for some (amped up fabric conditioner) but its a love for me. Unisex. I get decent performance. Pricey, try before you buy.
4.5/5

RisingChaos

I get an offputtingly sharp lime with prominent mint and blackcurrant notes. As it dries down it becomes more muted, musky and pleasant, but the performance is so trash I can't recommend it for the price it sells at. I'm not a huge fan of lime anyway. <2hr projection, 4-5hr longevity.

Gemmas80x

Got some samples from MFK before I took the plunge and was disappointed with baccarat rouge - thought I’d love it but it didn’t smell good on me - liked it on a friend. I know people say Cloud isn’t a good dupe but it’s so much prettier on me than baccarat. Aquae celestia I prefer - at the moment all I get is lime freshness - think I’d prefer it on a man but it’s a great energiser first thing in the morning! Reminds me a bit of Aqua di gio but not as ocean ozone. Hopefully I’ll get more of the mint/blackcurrant after a while.

Juliusq75

I have fallen in love with the MFK line I think. I got the Aqua Celestia EDT, which was a mistake as far as longevity because I want to smell this all day, I am a walking, human Mojito in this scent and I love it! It is definitely a clear lime note in the beginning, and then blends into some green notes, and is enchanting. It has a crispness to it, and at the same time is soft and so well blended. I think I will get the Celestia Forte next time, even though people said the lime was too much, I am really enjoying that lime note and would be happy to keep it in the forefront longer. This is going to be amazing in the summer, crisp, citrus, smooth. It is pricey as all MFK fragrances are, but so well blended it is hard to complain too much, (but really, $215 for an EDT that is not made of insanely rare or expensive notes? Come on, MFK. If anyone has a dupe for Celestia for less, please share). This one is a win for me.

Lolapoop

Sits very close to the skin. Very delicate ,intimate ,soft . If soul had its signature fragrance... :) In my opinion it is female frag. I will need more than one bottle because it takes some serious spritzing to make it noticable . I really like it. Way overpriced projection and lasting power wise

Oana Emilia

This is one of my most complimented perfume I ever had. I absolutely love it. It's like walking on a spring field after rain. You get the sweetness of the black currant and the rose, perfectly balanced by the mint and lime which arrive like a spring breeze. It's a perfect spring summer perfume. Very delicate and sensitive.

XXYZZYX

Aqua Celestia has a REALLY REALLY PRETTY OPENING on my skin that is very fresh and floral, and kinda fruity too! It has that similar feel as Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pera Granita & Ouai Melrose Place, but the longevity and sillage is better than the aforementioned. I don’t get any sour notes in this either which is great.

I start to smell the green notes coming in on the drydown, making it much more unisex than the opening for me. Damn, if it stayed more true to the opening, I think this could possibly be FB or decant worthy for me.

It's definitely office safe, and very inoffensive, but it doesn’t really smell as expensive and luxurious on the drydown as it did in the opening notes. It gives me those watery, aquatic vibes that I get in Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Passiflora but without the passionfruit that kept me sniffing my wrist.

This is one of the better MFK fragrances I’ve tried so far, at the top of my list with Amyris Femme right after it. I'll definitely have to give this one another try on a warmer day to see if that works better with my body chemistry!

fragem

I personally prefer the scent of Aqua Universalis over Aqua Celestia, but Celestia lasts way longer and has more sillage so that's a big win over Universalis. Universalis reminds me of Sprite but in a good, familiar, and comforting way, while Celestia reminds me of a tart mojito. In my eyes, Celestia is quite unisex. The sourness of the lime gives a masculine touch, while the sweetness of the blackcurrant makes this perfume a little feminine to perfectly balance out any masculinity. What a masterpiece from MFK!

Kloppo

Wow is this unique. I came into this hearing a lot about celestia and universitalis as standard soapy frags. This blackcurrant rose combination has a super unique fruity smell that I havent found among the 50+ samples ive tried, it's nice but more feminine leaning for me so I wouldnt buy a bottle.

Edit: I've figured out what makes the blackcurrant rose unique, there's a strong green apple smell that comes out in the mid.

Eiland

Quite like this scent. It's fresh, clean, fruity, but also a bit hair spray-ish. Perhaps this is due to the combination of blackcurrant and rose. This makes it too sweet to wear myself, would say this is a more feminine scent (I'm male), and would think it'd fit beautifully on a woman on a bright summer's day, slowly moving into the night.

It starts very fresh and then quickly develops to the sweeter part, then stays the same like that for a long time. Longevity is quite good, can clearly smell it after 7 hours. Projection is moderate, I get whiffs sometimes, which I prefer to leaving a scent trail behind.

morganbowden

I think that I like Aqua Celestia quite a lot - just not on me. I struggle to find the green notes and instead all I really get is a very clean, mineral quality. Not soapy per sé, but clean for sure. It's been sat in my collection for two years yet I never seem to reach for it, and I think it's because I find it to lean masculine. To me, this smells like a sophisticated man's warm skin when he's just fresh out of the shower. Sexy in a clean, casual kind of way.

Djedi

Sharp and fresh lime opening. A nice summer scent, probably the best fresh scent of the Aqua line. There's an almost soapy quality as well and the musky base rounds things off. Well blended and very unisex. Nothing really to add here. It's a well done fresh scent a la Kurkdjian. I recommend to at least sample it. Much better than the EDP as the EDP is bit too floral. I don't really get any rose or fruit accords in here, but the lime paired against the musky base smells very pleasant. Performance is decent but loses strength quickly. A staple in very hot weather.

7,5/10

adice

Really bright, fresh, musky, and almost soapy. I get a bit of a hair spray or hair product vibe (something just a bit chemical in the mix). I think this is a really nice, easy to wear daytime scent probably best for warmer weather. Seems inoffensive and unisex.

I'll probably use up my travel size but am guessing I will not be moved to buy more when it's gone. I prefer Aqua Universalis over this one.

2022 Spring/Summer update: So, I am surprised to find myself really craving this one again since I thought I was fairly luke warm on it before. I did use up my travel size and then ended up getting a small bottle of Deep Blue by Alexandria Fragrances since it is a much more affordable scent to fill the void. I think I may consider a full bottle of the MFK version in the future. We'll see how quickly I go through Deep Blue, tbd.

2023: Officially own my first full bottle of Aqua Celestia and I can't wait to wear the heck out of it this spring/summer!

Scentclub

This smells like window cleaner. In no way do I say that to offend, it is just what I smell. It begins with top notes of minerals. I then get a seaweed kind of note that gradually sours to seaside vegetation. Eventually florals emerge and become a somewhat cloying floral drydown. Not my cup of tea.

EauDeBaldy

This thing is damn beautiful. A beautiful summertime scent, hands down.

I will say this though, this is NOT for men, not by a long shot. You can't even try to make it for you...unless you're one of those snap your fingers "fabulous" kinda men.

This is way too feminine, which is great for the women, but again, not for men.

I'm fortunate that I didn't buy this, but received a sample of this from ordering other fragrances.

For you women/ladies, definitely look into this. A man's head will spin for you with this on for sure.

dsty

Aqua Celestia has that typical straightforward, no-frills high quality that I've come to expect from the Francis Kurkdjian house, and which makes me like all of his perfumes very much provided I like the basic idea. And that's what's missing for me with this one, although I love light, unisex summer fragrances based on citrus and herbs, and the note list for Aqua Celestia does look very appealing to me with the addition of mimosa and orange blossom and rose, all florals I love. But unfortunately those are all rather low in the "voted most prominent" list, while musk, my nemesis (at least in this category of scents where it's combined with natural fresh notes), is so high up. Add to that a rather prominent aquatic vibe to the whole thing, and what we end up with is a scent that's just categorically Not My Thing. I don't get any of those wonderful floral notes, just a rather masculine kind of subtly sweet herbal freshness through a haze of clean musk. Not bad at all, just really not for me. I'm glad I got to test it, but I can move on from this one without a second thought.

meroo

Very pleasant, high quality, smells very familiar (a kinder way of saying generic). A little too feminine for my mood at the moment. Gave my sample to one of my students.
I just wouldn't spend so much money on a "meh" scent.

a9a

If only the top on this persisted--comparisons to a Sprite on a summer day are spot on.

It evolves into a base of fruity musk with a hint of plastic to me. Definitely skews feminine but is I think ambiguous due to the lack of overt sweetness a lot of folks tend to associate with feminine frags.

Definite skip for me. And to all of those making comparisons to a mojito, sample Guerlain Homme and tell me if you still think this smells like a mojito.

greenviolets

This is a very well-blended version of many of the fragrances we all enjoyed in the 90s and early 2000s. When I first received it I thought "it is so perfect it is boring." To me its vera wang princess all grown up and luxe. It reminds me of the perfumes I would smell on the ladies shopping at Barney's and Bergdorf during their lunches. I've worn it to the office, its light enough to not offend, but unique enough that i get asked what it's called. i wouldn't pay for a fb.

Andy the Frenchy

A musky minty blackcurrant thing. (ultra soapy, not my thing)
Just "nice" is not enough, and I cannot recommend a $200+ beach fragrance that underperforms. Will finish my sample, and there will be the end of story. (uhhh... what story?)

Summer days, 20+

koret

I bought a sample of this beauty, it opened with something green that similar to a pine in my nose, after that it turned a little bit sweeter and floral, the lime still going strong on the background, and i detect a spicy rose like geranium?

its very refreshing fragrance, can be worn on spring or fall when the wind breeze away, the Longetivity is not the best in my skin, projection was also so so, but the scent itself although its not mind blowing, but still compliment worthy for sure.

Scent: 7.8
Projection: 7 (strong on the 1-2hrs then become skin scent untill 6 hrs)
Longetivity: 7.5 (around 6hrs on my skin)

I think the best occasion to wear this is when you're attending a garden party, outdoor casual meeting in daytime. this smelled amazing when wind blowing ~

Trab

I owe this fragrance now almost two years, strangely, this is my favourite MFK fragrance – if this would be a designer in the price range under the 100€ for a 100ml, this would be an absolute winner, when I spray this on my skin early morning it’s still very noticeable in the evening, my partner says this fragrance fills the room, so I have to be careful not to overspray it, the minty white musk gives this fragrance so much character. White musk is special and not something you’ll not find in many fragrances, definitely not in popular fragrances – this is definitely a more masculine fragrance

If you like minty, refreshing scents, it doesn't get much better than Aqua Celestia. This smells like a mojito, but without the alcohol. The mint and lime are definitely the strongest notes, but it never becomes sharp or too aromatic. There is a nice understated sweetness to it. The supporting notes black currant, rose and musk give it a hint of femininity. It's not too feminine to be easy to wear for a man though, this can be worn by anyone. Just keep in mind that it's a fruity and floral mint scent, not an extremely herbal one.
This is everything I wanted Acqua di Gioia (EDP, EDT is a different story) to be, completely different but in my opinion a much better take on the same concept of sweetened mint, citrus and florals.

This smells good enough too drink and feels thirst-quenching when I spray it. It has a light sillage and average longevity, but I personally don't think that's a problem with this kind of fragrance, because it feels so good to spray more and I can't imagine it could turn overwhelming. Only downside would be the price, but let's be real here, it's hard to empty anything when you have a larger collection, so if I had this, I would just spray away.

thiagovidotto.1

I have the forte version of Aqua Celestia, but I wonder why is there an EDP concentration of this one?

The EDT is really long-lasting (I got 12h+ and can still smell it after a shower), and projection is beast-mode. Very interesting.

The EDP concentration is for sure way sharper and more floral, but I am quite surprised by the performance of this one. I assume it is mostly composed of aroma chemicals? Or is it possible that it has natural ingredients?

stacia79

Reminds me so much of Sprite or 7Up. Light, refreshing, fizzy herbal. Unisex, probably best in hot weather. A minty musk with hints of fruit underneath.

d_silent_one

Bitter lemon. Citrus to the extreme. Suited for a man. I don't think it's unisex, I think it's a male fragrance. I don't like it.

jjoyce2

It’s not a special fragrance, but it does its job darn well. It’s a safe, fresh fragrance that will not offend your colleagues. Perfect office scent with a decent projection. I would not go crazy with the sprays as it tends to pull a bit sweet if done too much. I get a lot of black currant on my skin. This is a cleaner and fresher version of Silver Mountain Water. I love it for its freshness and its versatility.

watchaka

I much prefer sniffing the sillage of this scent on someone else. After she walks down the stairs, I hurry after her in order to catch the scent. On myself, eh, not so much, as it sours into my pores.
My nose catches a scent of mint and lime, more lime heavy, with the mint playing in the background and again alive in the dry-down.

Fragaddict4u

This is a very good freshie. It starts of citrusy with a hint of mint and some undercurrent of depth, must be the musk, however it’s not musky in the beginning. I find this fragrance very refreshing. I don’t really pick up any black current but there is a subtler sweetness to it. Perhaps it’s the mimosa. It kind of smells like Coast soap, the blue and white marbled bar. I find this edt a bit masculine for my taste but it far fro being overtly masculine. It straddles the unisex fence quite well. Whenever I wear this I picture myself in the mountains next to a babbling brook, surrounded by green ferns and glacier water. The dry down is a nice clean soft musk with a hint of sweetness. The drydown reminds me of a fragrance B&BW once had, sea island cotton. It’s my go to “clean” fragrance when I’m not sure what to wear. It has extreme longevity on me which I love. I can smell this well into the next day if I spray myself before bed. It’s comforting.

MNadz

I love this effervescent fragrance...lights up any room you walk into. Super-natural DNA.

Top notes of citrus and sparkling mint (not toothpastey) are unique vs. my usual Summer citrus freshies. The introduction of the mimosa in dry down is not as floral as others with this note...but adds to the top notes in a fantastic refreshing way. I’m also a huge fan of “green” notes and this shows itself as well. Adding depth for the duration of this DNA is a super-clean musk.

Longevity is OK...about 6 hours on skin/clothes. For the price, I wish it last longer. Projection is also OK. Summer days are when I will be wearing this one.

Overall, this is a beautiful uni-sex fragrance. All women could wear this, and most men as well. Those men that like their DNAs to be unquestionably masculine probably will not want to wear this one. As usual, go get a decant and live with it for a few days.

alvinzm

I have a combination of so many feelings and emotions about this one. It is also my very first niche fragrance.

It has arguably the freshest and the most unique scent I've ever owned, and although people can say that it is too floral, too feminine, or too safe. I don't care. It is well-blended, with a prominent combination of lime and mint at the beginning, then the floral accords like mimosa and neroli start to come after 15 minutes. The balance between floral, sweetness, freshness is sublime.

The performance of this one is great. Lasts forever (especially on clothes), the projection and sillage are good, but nothing extraordinary. The scent lingers in the air nicely. Suitable for day and night use, in spring and summer.

A man and a woman could wear this and it'll smell great on both of them. It is very safe, super fresh, incredibly versatile, perfectly balanced, and lasts long.

Wow! This is a compliment monster, especially from the ladies! Regarding the smell, it gives me this feeling of uplifting ultra clean-ness. It leans a tiny bit feminine to my nose maybe because of the floral notes, but it doesn’t bother me one bit. I also get a fresh, minty citrus blast in the opening but that quickly dissipates leaving a well blended soft floral musk in the heart and the dry down. Longevity is around 6 hours and it projects the first 2 hours for around a foot radius. Then it becomes a skin scent. So overall I’m really impressed and it gives me that boost of confidence whenever I wear it. It’s my first Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrance and it’s a great start.

I got a bottle of this as soon as it came out and i dont know why it took so long to review it. Maybe i didnt want to share how good it is, so less people have it :)

Acqua Celestia is true to its name. It is a very moist, water like scent for the summer and it rules all other fresh scents. i dare to say that this IS_the_BEST moist summer fragrance that has been created(from what i have tried) and i have been searching for this scent all my fragrance journey. i never came across davidoff, so no reference with that one but this is even better than Mefisto, which does hold 2nd place for me in fresh scents. that one has a bit too much going on with herbs and woods and iris, whether this one is a gulp of fresh cold water.

Scent itself starts with a lot of citrus and mint that creates that very watery cold accord and in the summer heat this is best thing ever! And this phase lasts quite long, i would say 3 hours on me. Then you get sparkling effect out of it, similar to what you find in Amber Oud by Roja or Uden by Xerjoff, and that sparkling really adds lightness to the scent. Very uplifting. And then when this perfume goes into base, something white comes out and i suspect its musk, something slightly feminine but still nice and fresh, and i sure Love that. Overall 8 hours on me for this Celestial scent, which all other houses should take a note of, and stop creating 2-3 hour lasting scents.

There is something in this perfume that gives metalic note, or something that might give off a throat scratching feel, most likely from synthetics used to boost performance, but i find it comes out only if i over spray. 2 spray, up to 3 is about perfect.

Overall, excellent offering, safe blind buy, can be worn by men and women. Mr Tough Guys, dont be afraid of this one, its excellent. Wear nice white shirt to match the glorious aura that this little gem will grant you and enjoy summer :)

Better than acqua digio, better than light blue, polo blue, terre d'hermes, better than acquas from the same line regardles of the concentration, better than SMW, mefisto, oud silk mood, superbia list goes on.....

Bubbles1964

The first five minutes I thought I was in trouble: instead of lime I picked up lemon furniture polish (this idea was already planted in my head as I explain below). But Aqua Celestia quickly turned into a lime, mint and verbena effervescent perfume. The only other note I pick up is a bit of musk in the drydown. Very herbal and one of the strongest citrus scents I’ve come across. No florals detected.

This straddles the center line of the gender road, neither masculine nor feminine. Very good performance. I would think this is a good summer weather option, but not necessarily for days with extreme heat. It may become too strong in such climate.

One of my fragrance buddies owns a full bottle, has worn it many times and told me that after months of wearing it she started to develop a kind of nasal fatigue with it. She still loves it but told me she felt it turned into a furniture polish scent after hours of continuous wear. I did feel that in the very beginning, but I hope that scent memory doesn’t return. I’ll buy an 11ml first and see how I like it after I get more experience with how it wears.

SmellMyCheese

Really pleasant bright scent that if I had to guess is the majority base of Aqua Universalis (which is also great) but with mint added. Uplifting, all positive sorts of vibe scent. Will be great for summer.

WallaceGrover

Have you ever smelled a cold bubbly Sprite on a hot day? That's what Aqua Celestia reminds me of. It's extremely inoffensive and quite pleasant but I'm not sure if it's worth the price tag. Especially considering longevity is mehhhh

nicolas2003

Aqua Celestia by MFK is one of those fragrances that might not boast the most exotic or groundbreaking notes, yet its charm lies in the impeccable balance and masterful blending that it achieves.

Upon the initial spritz, a minty tangerine note takes center stage, ushering in a fresh sensation. It's not the typical citrusy burst akin to Chanel Allure Homme Sport; instead, it presents itself in a more subdued, quiet manner, creating an inviting aura.

As the heart notes start to unfold, a gentle tobacco note emerges, intertwining with the mint and tangerine. This transformation introduces a warmer dimension to the fragrance, adding depth and complexity without overpowering the initial freshness.

The basenotes, where the true character of the fragrance unveils, showcase a subtle blend of amber, cloves, and musk. What distinguishes Aqua Celestia is its cleanliness; the musk, rather than contributing to a sweaty or heavy feel, brings equilibrium, creating a well-rounded olfactory experience.

In my experience, it resonates with the likes of Tom Ford For Men, making it an appealing choice for those who appreciate that particular scent profile. The fragrance doesn't rely on the allure of exotic ingredients but rather on the harmonious marriage of its components.

Aqua Celestia unfolds as a great scent that beautifully balances freshness with warmth. Its unassuming nature and versatile composition make it suitable for various occasions. If you're drawn to fragrances that showcase expert craftsmanship in blending and balance, then Aqua Celestia is certainly worth exploring in your fragrance journey.

This is banging! and its beautiful longevity and very much possibly the best aquatic citrus perfumes I have smelt.
It is so fresh and potent and worthy the money they are asking!
It lingers wafts of this surround and good projection it feels zesty almost like DG Blue and natural I went to the department store and now I have my summer frag already planned for 2019!
Amazing and so natural not synthetic smelling or dishwasher type freshness but citrus
Lime on the first spray and then on dry down this warm, fresh subtly musky spicy beauty!! 10/10!!

So this is what paradise smells like...

phongbach

It reminds me of Dior J'adore. It is almost too feminine for a guy to pull of. I think I found my signature scent. Aqua Universalis is big on the Lily of the Valley. Aqua Vitae is too vanilla to feel fresh. This is just amazingly gorgeous.

yukitanonton

A female friend sums this fragrance aptly "a handsome guy perfume".

Truffles_L

Aqua Celestia is an excellent fresh unisex daytime fragrance that sits fairly close to my skin. It sparkles with musk and citrus and it stays pretty linear on me in the dry down. Aqua Celestia has longevity is great too. It smells fresh after 10 hours on my super dry skin. It is a fantastic warm sunny day scent. It makes me feel clean and bright.

Ismo29

I don't know why some people keep saying that this is feminine. To my nose, this is perfectly unisex. There are florals in this, which some guys automatically associate with femininity (although this is largely subjective and based on culture), but there is also a musky-ness to the scent which keeps it balanced as well as citruses.

Amazing scent. Do sample before you purchase though.

jaaakeL

A perfect example of an aquatic fragrance. It is bright, citrusy, and very airy. Reminiscent of a warm day on the beach with a light breeze. The lime pierces through immediately and gives an almost effervescent feel to the scent. The dry down yields a light musk, but that depth is countered by the mimosa and greens. I personally think this would have been better without the neroli in the top, but it is still a solid scent nonetheless. For some reason, there always tends to be one note in MFK scents that I disagree with, and neroli is the culprit in this one!

This is best worn during a nice summer day, but could easily be worn at night after showering.

Silage and longevity could be improved, but then again, there is an extreme version that likely performs better. This scent is easily unisex.

Overall Scent: 7/10
Sillage: 7.5/10
Longevity: 7/10

Perhaps the lovliest aquatic I've ever smelled. Light, airy, and effervescent, it should be understood that Aqua Celestia is not a typical marine aquatic, nor does Aqua Celestia have necessarily unique smelling notes. All the notes blend together to make an impressionistic water painting of the fresh water of a natural spring mixing with the cool springtime air. Performance is no slacker, it is detectable for 12 hours on me, and projects for a solid 3.

For those lovers of MFK's abstract and smooth style, this is a home run.

WildDove

I get musk and bergamot in Aqua Celestia, giving me an impression of densely scented dryer sheets. I was hoping for mint and green notes but couldn't find them here.

I was sampling the MFK at Neiman Marcus yesterday and ended up buying Aqua Celestia as it stood to me among the Aqua line. First impression is a reminiscent of fresh morning dew with mint sprigs sprouting under citrus-berry groves. Its definitely high-quality and masterfully crafted. After a few hours, it started to remind me of Pleasures by Estee Lauder when I first smelled it back in the 90s. Its a little bit feminine smelling for me to use, in my opinion, but I ended up purchasing the 2.4 oz for $220+ just because I felt the lady needed to make a sale. Maybe someday, I'd long for a scent and open it, gift it or even resell it, otherwise it will just sit the cabinet.

This is a weird one for me. I’ve only worn it a couple of times so far, so this will be a preliminary review which I hope to come back and update later.
On first spray, I’m not a fan. I pick up lime with a strong mint presence as well and something else hiding in the background, maybe the neroli? The notes seem to clash rather than blend and make for an uncomfortable mix to my nose.

I’m someone who is usually willing to endure a less than great opening if the rest of the scent’s life is worth it but, the opening of this perfume seems to last an unusually long time and I found myself questioning if any drydown was going to be worth 30 to 40 minutes of this bleh smell.

Then it developed into a quite lovely middle period. The musk came up smoothing everything out, the mimosa added a bit of floral sweetness and the lime receded a bit. The mint stayed but, as the lime faded, the mint blended nicely with the other notes. Can’t say I noticed a discernible rose note but the whole mixture became much more rounded.

About 2 hours in my husband commented that my perfume was quite fruity, guess he was picking up on the black current at that point.

About 6 hours after the first application I tried another light spray in one area this time the opening bothered me less and I’m not sure if I had somehow become more used to and accepting of that lime mint combo or if the remaining perfume from the first application was tempering the opening smell.

This morning, almost 24 hours later, I still find a really gorgeous skin scent sweet with mimosa, smooth and creamy with musk, and still with a bit of cool freshness from the mint.

It’s very intriguing and I will definitely re-visit this one. The last half of it’s life makes the effort worthwhile but I’m still uncomfortable with the idea of living through that opening to get to the good stuff.

I recently got a sample box of 8 Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrances and Aqua Celestia was my favorite. Coming in a faaar second was Aqua Universalis and the rest I could do without.

Aqua Celestia smells effervescent, airy, green citrus, with a hint of musk that settles beautifully and totally unlike any perfume I've smelled before! I get about 5-6hrs from it & I will likely buy a full bottle when my 11ml sample is gone. :)

Also, for anyone trying to choose between Aqua Celestia and Aqua Celestia Forte, I prefer this one as it is lighter & more fresh. Aqua Celestia Forte is a heavier/sweeter version of this one and I just felt like it lost all of its good qualities. My boyfriend (in a blind sniff test) also preferred the non-forte version.

October 2nd, 2018. 17h 33m.
Weather: Overcast day with a high of 25°C.
Location: Fifth Avenue
Reading: "In Search of Lost Time" by Marcel Proust (pg. 332).
Listening: "Healing Song" by Build an Ark
Wearing: Ribbed jersey knit polo in khaki, black tailored jeans, black Hermès croc "Izmir" sandals.

Today I decided to spray a sample of Aqua Celestia from the sample set I received by Francis Kirkdjian.

Upon first spray, it was love at first scent. The opening was an elixir of Biscay ocean breezes. There was a faint blast of sea salt but the palpable lime was the main character to this story. It was more of the zest that atomizes in the air the way you peel a pomelo. As my skin warms up this panacea, I immediately uncover the greenery: mint, verbana, wet grass but the perfect equity of black currant and neroli helps cut down the sharpness just a little bit. It is the guest appearance of datura that pops her head in quickly that softens this fragrance.

The dry down is spectacular. A meriting clean finish of white musk that isn't warm and powdery. It is cool and refreshing. And upon stepping outside, the breeze of a cloudy evening picks up this scent and cavorts around you like Lalique bacchantes dancers which broaches an airy, atmosphere that had people turn and smile at me in downtown Fifth Avenue.

Lucid, and fresh, this fragrance (to me) seems more appropriate in mild weather during the departing transition of summer into fall on overcast days. There is something heathering and silvery about this fragrance. In one word: elegant. In two words: elegantly idyllic.

Heifrank

I first tried celestia forte and thought it was too strong, too synthetic feeling and a ticking headache bomb. I also thought that the florals were too screaming and too feminin. I had no hopes when I received sample of this celestia, but its much better than the forte version. I get citrus and herbals, not so much whit flowers. Its also toned down compared to the forte. Very nice scent.

Kenudigme

Hmmm... i definitely wouldn’t call this fragrance masculine but it’s not feminine enough that a person would be stricken by a man wearing it. It smells nice ! Especially in the hot weather uncomfortable ... trust me, any woman would be appreciative of a man coming by her smelling like this... SOTD (7/30/18): MFK Aqua Celestia ;-)

Aqua Celestia continues the line of Kurkdjian scents that include Aqua Vitae, Aqua Universalis, and their Forte counterparts. Once again it combines light, natural notes to create a refreshing warm weather option in a style that is both pretty and immaculately clean. I always envision lots of white linens when I smell something from the Aqua line and Celestia is no different. At the same time, it presents a new dimension to the trio and has its own, unique scent profile. Whether or not you're going to like this new scent profile is based on personal taste of course, and unfortunately, in my case, my taste does not align with it.

Celestia opens with a bright, natural lime punch and the immediate presence of white musk. The mint is restrained to the degree that it provides a fresh, herbal quality to the scent without announcing itself too boldly. In the heart of the composition, is a tart, semi-sweet and fruity black currant accord. This accord is well-executed, and it gathers strength to some degree as the scent progresses, despite coming across fairly subtle at first. I enjoy the currant note when I'm able to sort of isolate it and just smell it by itself. But there's also a mimosa accord that Kurkdjian has added to Aqua Celestia, a bit heavy handedly if you ask me. It's strong, and it's blended with a healthy dose of white musk so as a result the entire fragrance sits in this sort of haze of white musk and mimosa. The lime dissipates quickly into the haze, and the mint is more or less smothered by it. The black currant seems to balance it to some extent, or at least provides a nice distraction, but it's still colored in this hue of mimosa musk and becomes rather blended with it. Is it a bad smell? No. But it smells like a women's perfume to me, and not something really designed for a man or even something that should be labeled unisex. I find the mimosa too pretty--it's a very soft, powdery floral smell and it reminds me of a something a female co-worker wears often. Color-wise, it leaves impressions of pastel greens, whites, and pinks. While Guerlain Homme presented mint and lime in a style that I found immediately appealing, these notes seem to take a back seat here to the blended whole of mimosa, musk and currant. I'm not a huge fan of floral scents to begin with, and here they're used in a manner that is just too strong, and in my opinion, detracts from the scent's more uplifting and fresh qualities. In the end, I don't even know if I would be comfortable wearing this in the heat, as I think the floral musk would bother me. While I don't think Celestia is a bad scent necessarily, it doesn't meet the high hopes that I had for it. I'm not recommending this to guys looking for a fresh summer option (if it's mint and lime you're after, there's Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisee, Selection Verte, and Armani Code Sport Athlete). However, I would recommend that women sample it as it seems as if it could work well in that capacity. Final rating 6.5/10

A zesty lime/ citrus, verbena, and some nice green notes, with a little musk.
Can't pick up any florals, or mint, just a nuance of a floral touch, that softens the citrus a bit.

For one of the best citruses on the market, and one of the very best values, for under $50; try Guerlain L'Eau Boisee, a true lime mojito freshy.
This is one of the very best quality scents in the green citrus genre.
It is similar to Creed Royal Water, but this is more tart.

this is my most complimented fragance by far of all my collection.. I have more than 200 fragrances. This is more compliemented than aventus.

when I wear this, women says you smell really sexy....

To me smells like shampoo xDDDD.. but I don't know why, but all, and I say ALL women LOVE IT on me.. and every single time I wear it I get a lot of compliments...you smell masculine, sexy, So it's no feminine at all

Ewalk81

I just received this in a split, and I have to admit this is super feminine. Not a bad scent at all, just not for me. I gave it to my co-worker.

Cologniano_D

I genuinely tried and tested Aqua Celestia. Listed as Unisex. This is a Feminine fragrance. Do test before buying. It’s bright. It’s citrus and musky. Great for the ladies.

"ONE ORDER OF MOJITO COMING UP!," said the bartender on a hot summer day.

And the bartender served her the most refreshing, thirst-quenching Mojito (with a twist of mint) she ever had.

DHIguy99

I just got a bottle of this via trade and I don’t think I could be any happier. This falls into the dumb reach category for spring and summer. I sampled it upon first release and wasn’t initially in love with this and wrote it off. Now that I have revisited this I still cannot completely put it in the love category but it is very nice. On my skin with 4 sprays I get 8 hours with 3 projecting. Just sweet enough but also light enough to be a great summer fragrance. Great job Kurkdjian. 8/10

81Classic

This is one of my wife’s favorite perfumes on herself. She absolutely loves this stuff, and I must say it smells fantastic on her! Ladies you should try this one.

Houdini4

This stuff slots effortlessly and perfectly into the Aqua line sharing all the class and clean uplifting vibes of Universalis etc... the citrus in the opening is a positive lime note which I like but becomes less distinct as it settles to a more mandarin/bergamot, this freshness is added to by the mint which is welcome and a marriage made in heaven. Doesn’t come off like a mojito though and it would be so easy to make the connection. It’s musky but with a clean floral combination to back it up and give it the signature of the aqua line. Again this isn’t doing anything new but rather tried and tested combinations and methods very well indeed. The drydown becomes slightly more feminine but that’s just a personal association because it’s neroli which is not only lovely but boosts citrus and gives an amazing base platform to display the top notes. I really like this scent it’s very refreshing, thirst quenching and classy, perfect for a hot summers day would instantly cool you down and soothe you. Although it becomes a quiet skin scent the performance is extremely good.

Francis Kurkdjian’s Aqua line is a collection of well crafted, uplifting everyday fragrances. My favourite among them might be Aqua Universalis, but they’re all rather similar and interchangeable - and none of them is as remarkable as, say, Petit Matin.
Aqua Celestia reminds me very much of Pierre Bourdon’s 1990s classic Davidoff Cool Water for Women, as it has the same aquatic-fruity vibe. I was hoping for a stronger mimosa, but it only lurks in the back. As much as I’m a fan of the MFK catalogue, in this case I advise all of you who like Aqua Celestia to simply buy the good old Cool Water instead and save yourselves a lot of €$£¥.

I agree with many of the reviews here - fresh, clean, cotton etc. I think it’s very pleasant and definitely inoffensive. It has a slight resemblance to body shop white musk - but only in the type of musks used.

As many others have mentioned, and per usual, this is a very well blended fragrance - so the outcome is quite smooth.

With that said, I personally find it to be textbook feminine. As much as I enjoy it, I can’t wear it with confidence. Actually quite surprised that they’d even bother listing this as unisex. Either way - smells nice.

Fragaria

This is far too expensive for me but if EVER...there was a perfume I THOUGHT might be worth the price, it's THIS! I will probably never try this, and that's ok! I can dream....can't I?

Raindeavour

This is one of the 3 Aquas I tried in the fragrance wardrobe set, and so far this is my favorite out of the 3. The other 2 are Aqua Universalis and Aqua Vitae which are both very enjoyable as well.

This opens with a very prominent sparkling, fizzy lime. I must admit I am just recently starting to explore the world of fragrances so I haven't tried out a whole lot of fragrances that I can compare to. To me, this fragrance stimulates my nose in a way none other did. It's so sparkly and fizzy and limey, I felt as if I'm drinking lime soda. I can almost taste the sourness and fizz in my mouth.

It sort of reminded me of a detergent/dishwasher/washroom freshener at first because of how strong the lime is, and there are a lot of cleaning products with lime/lemon scent. Even so, I still enjoy how clean and fresh this scent is. I didn't really get the blackcurrant but the lime, neroli and mint were quite prominent for the first few hours. Projection is alright, I can still smell it faintly after 3 to 4 hours without sniffing my wrist. When the lime dries down eventually, it becomes sweeter - fresh floral kind of sweet. Longevity was pretty strong, I could still smell it on my wrist after 8+ hours, though by that time it's a skin scent.

All in all, a very uplifting, fresh citrus scent that is great for everyday wear. Works well in school or work or any casual occasions when you want to smell pleasant. Contemplating buying a full bottle because I really enjoy wearing this, and it's such an easy to wear fragrance.

Edit: It's now 18 hours after I applied the fragrance and when I smell my wrist I can still get a slight hint of the scent. I can't love it enough, I'm so happy to have found this gem. It works magic for me.

Francis is a genius! I’m not a big fan of a fresh perfume, but this is a super

This was very interesting ... very fruity and sweet but also dry? It's certainly unique and of the quality I would expect from the master Mr. Kurkdjian. The mint is absolutely breathtaking and I think is the "celestial" part of aqua celestia. This really lasts and on me projected too much. Never got a compliment though. I sold my bottle because I got really bored. If you have the money this is a beautiful fragrance for the man and woman that wants to smell unique and sophisticated without smelling "avant-garde".

I made use of Maison Kurkdijan's great sample program (four samples for 14 euros, the cost of which can go toward a full bottle) and tested the ones I thought looked most promising. This is my favourite, and I'm seriously considering the full bottle. At first sniff I didn't like it. It reminded me of La Vie est Belle for some reason, probably because of the blackcurrant note and a certain spun sugar quality. Once I sprayed it on my skin, though, that comparison melted away and I really started to enjoy this. It's an airy, fresh scent, a bit green and detergent-y, a touch fizzy. It reminds me most of Smarties candy (called Fizzlers in Europe) those chalky, compressed sugar pastilles. It's not overly sweet, though. Just bubbly and likeable and clean.

YolkMedusa

Too airy and aquatic for me (even tho I typically like those genres). Interesting though.

Opens with a blast of aquatics and aldehydes.

They fade a bit and then citrus, laundry detergent, and a green note - celery? - soon come in as well.

Musk then comes in and the interplay between that and the above notes is quite sensual and intriguing.

Musk unfortunately just barely wins the competition with the above notes (typical of modern perfumery I must say) and the development seems to plateau there - both (musk winning and the plateau) to the detriment of the interesting-ness of this frag.

Francis Kurkdjian's Aqua line essentially plays on the many facets of citrus and musk - always super-clean, laundry fresh and surprisingly long lasting. His latest, Aqua Celestia, doesn't disappoint; it is a charming citrus floral along the lines of Aqua Universalis, with the original's lily of the valley substituted for sweet, sunny mimosa.

Aqua Celestia's opening is all about juicy green lime, with a fresh lift of mint. The mint evokes neither toothpaste nor a mojito; rather, it plays the role of a back-up singer, adding a lightness and sparkle around the edges of the starring lime. Both notes slowly fade over a couple of hours as Aqua Celestia moves into its dry down, which is dominated by clean white musk and the aforementioned mimosa. The dry down projects softly and lasts a good few hours, even in cooler weather.

Some reviewers have found Aqua Celestia to be among the most feminine of the Aqua line, and it's true that it is softer and sweeter than Kurkdjian's more masculine offerings, such as Aqua Vitae. However, to my nose Aqua Celestia is neither masculine nor feminine; rather, it is a wonderfully childlike scent, full of naive charm and wide-eyed curiosity. Again, this is the mimosa at play; perhaps it reminds me of the prominent mimosa in Jean-Paul Guerlain's brilliant sketch of an eau fraiche for children, Petite Guerlain, or perhaps it is the note's inherent sweetness and softness at play. Regardless, Aqua Celestia comes across as joyously sunny; an uplifting scent for carefree little boys and girls and wistful adults.

Not sure what all the fuss is about the mint. If it's there, it's super well blended and gives the impression of "freshness" in the limey-tart opening, but that's it. And for fresh-phobes: fear not! Yes it gives off a clean vibe but I find that it's well balanced by the blackcurrent which darkens it (and gives it some teeth) and the mimosa which rounds it out with sensual floral. This is lovely, perfect for summer and heat, and is a very sophisticated clean.

dlane1953

A delightful, sunny, tart/sweet fragrance I love to wear in the heat of summer. It's uplifting and light, but has great longevity A good unisex scent.

mabelcruet

Tested from a 2ml spray tester.

This is lovely-really fresh and bright. It's sparkly and fizzy, like a minty gin cocktail. The mint was very fresh, like crushed mint in a cocktail, not minty toothpaste, It was very aquatic-cucumber on me, the blackcurrant isn't peeking through much at all. I'm not sure I could pick mimosa out of a line-up, but there is a lovely soft and gentle floral background once the mint notes die down. The musk is also very soft and gentle. To me, this is quite lightweight-it became a skin scent within an hour, but it lasted for about 4 hours from one spray. The opening minty cucumberyness is unisex, but the dry down I thought was quite feminine, it is a very pretty floral. Perfect for warmer weather!

Oh my goodness, Francis Kurkdjian does fresh and clean scents so beautifully. Mint and blackcurrant are such an unexpectedly gorgeous combination, the mint so fresh and cutting - along with the green notes and neroli. The ever so slightly bitter blackcurrant rounds the concoction up, adds a slightly darker edge to the clean vibe whilst still bouncing off the mint in a very playful way.

I've had this on for an hour or so now and the blackcurrant is still going strong, not in a sweet way but true to that taste when you first bite into one. Edgy and delicate and yes, a refreshing and slightly tart cocktail scent. I'd absolutely want to try a drink in a bar that tasted the way this smells; MFK has other creations I'd rather wear on my skin however.

fnzeee

I thought I was more or less done with aquatics and did not expect to find this interesting. I could not have been more wrong! The lime-mint-musk combination gives it a very unique and warm feel, despite being a cool aquatic. I think the composition is very well done, with no one note dominant. Another great fragrance from this house.

StellaDiverFlynn

I'm not very comfortable with the opening of Aqua Celestia on my skin, with the refreshing, aromatic and tastefully tart lime completely drenched by a sharp laundry white musk. Even though this aggressively soapy clean white musk does mellow with time, it still largely overpowers the citrus during the first hour.

Eventually, the laundry white musk becomes mild enough for my personal taste, and reveals a transparent prairie, where mint grows among earthy, discreetly spicy green grass. The mint here does not display its cold, medicinal leafiness easily recalling toothpaste; instead, it merely adds a vibrant, fresh minty touch to the white background, which is my favourite part of Aqua Celestia.

A sweet-tart fruity note reminiscent of black currant also starts to emerge after about 2 hours, and soon becomes the pivot. The black currant here is admittedly quite light and devoid of ammonia nuance or jammy texture, only enough to bring a conventional feminine quality into Aqua Celestia. Unfortunately, the dry down afterwards just sticks to the mild black currant-white musk, which is not unlike a bleached version of some commercial fruity floral release.

Speaking of mimosa, I do get a hint of its cucumber-like, watery nuance and a bit of clean powdery texture. However, I'm unable to perceive its almost vanillic, anise-y smooth warmth, which is also a personal disappointment.

The sillage of Aqua Celestia is very intimate, but I can still smell it on my hand after 10 hours, albeit at a really close range.

Overall, Aqua Celestia is an agreeable clean fruity white musk. If you happen to enjoy laundry type of clean white musk, and would like a mild fruity and minty twist, I think Aqua Celestia would fit the bill nicely.

A feminine floral with some citrus, which is long lasting but has low projection..

I applied 6 heavy sprays

0 - 2 hours - 4 inch projection. This is a typical MFK fragrance, and has many of the hallmarks from others by this house. This frag is the houses calling card of citrus and floral with a feminine edge. It does not have the personality of Aqua Universalis, nor the citrus punch of Universalis Forte, which makes it feel like a pointless release. It is much close to Universalis, but more tangy.

2 hours - 5 hours -1 inch projection. Strong on the skin. Linear so far

5 hours - 7 hours. Close to skin but a very strong skin scent. I got an undercurrent of blackcurrant by smelling close to the skin, which was a nice addition

7 hours - 14 hours. Still going, this is a very long lasting skin scent, becomes a little soapy floral to the end.

Very feminine fragrance, not due to the sweetness, but the floral which dominate the citrus.

Not for me

I got a sample vial of this and was immediately reminded of Tommy Girl, which I wore in high school.

Could it be? I pulled up Tommy Girl's notes, and yeah, I can see how Tommy Girl's blackcurrant, mint, orange, and honeysuckle roughly translate to Aqua Celestia's blackcurrant, mint, and neroli.

Longevity is fairly short, and it's a bit too sweet for my taste. But more importantly, the flood of memories from Tommy Girl and my high school days means I could probably never wear this in real life.

Francis Kurkdijan is hands down the master of bright and refreshing fragrances. Something about his offerings in this genre are phenomenal. Aqua Celestia is no different. I sampled this one night at Neiman Marcus and ordered a 200ml bottle from the MFK website the next day. I am going to wear this out this summer. This is FK's best offering in this genre and I'm so happy to have 200ml of this incredible juice.

jhitt793

The composition opens with a robust accord of Mexican lime and mint from the Mitcham district of London. The sour citrus and herbaceous spearmint coincide to produce a very refreshing and cooling atmosphere, one which is vibrating with an undercurrent of liveliness. A gentle sweetness is embued via the lovely addition of blackcurrant bud absolute from Burgandy region of France. It glazes the fragrance in a warm fruitiness; a jammy note which marries perfectly with the predominant opening citrus-mint accord. Balanced to perfection, the blackcurrant note never leans too sweet nor too berry-like, and certainly never becomes overwhelming to the nose. Effortlessly, a wispy floral note of mimosa absolute from Provence takes flight in the mid-range and dry down. Its sugar-spun fragrance is soft like a cloud and dreamlike in its effect on the composition. Here the mimosa is joined by a delicate musk accord, exaggerating its luminosity and amplifying its innocence. The overall scent is arrestingly beautiful; the olfactory equivalent to plunging beneath cold water only to reemerge exhilarated and revitalized.

'Aqua Celestia' is yet another stunning example of Francis Kurkdjian's talents as a perfumer. It fits perfectly within the range of "Aqua" line fragrances already created for the brand. In comparison to both 'Aqua Universalis' and 'Aqua Vitae', 'Aqua Celestia' is the least unisex of the trilogy. The mimosa and blackcurrant bud absolutes render the composition in the sweet-floral-fruity category, and may be too sweet for many men. I on the other hand love the architecture of the fragrance and feel that when worn during the heat of summer the sweetness mellows, transforming into an air of freshness. As an "eau de toilette" concentration, sillage and projection are average to below average. I found myself having to apply an ample amount, with it still laying fairly close to the skin afterwards. Longevity is again only average, yet the scent remains perceptible on clothing days after wearing. 'Aqua Celestia' seems best suited to the warmer months of the year, but its universal freshness can be appreciated throughout the seasons. As its projection and sillage are light and not overwhelming, daytime use for work is certainly appropriate. I find the scent to be a wonderful casual everyday fragrance, one which enlivens my spirit upon application and focuses my mind upon the day ahead. 'Aqua Celestia' is, in a word, heavenly.

I think kurki is aiming for sephora shelvs.

This fragrance is a sort of a disappointment to me. Very feminine, the most feminine in the Aqua's line. The musky creamy ponk flowers in the heart (instead of white flowers in Aqua Universalis) and citruses/ambroxan/berries at the top. There is some coldness here, but mint is not prominent.

Nothing original, there are dozens of fragrances like this in womens sections of department stores for a price tag 3 times smaller

Pianomelody

Very beautiful. Aqua Celestia opens with a strong note of Lime and Mimosa, is fresh and floral at the same time... there is something that evokes spring, a sweetness in the background, slight but this, I think the moss and blackcurrant. This new fragrance has surprised me, I can say that I like, it gives a sense of freedom and freshness! The sillage is moderate, longevity about 7 hours on me. Thanks to this new creation!

Sadly I don't like this one, I'm a big fan of Aqua Universalis, Pluriel and Baccarat Rouge but the mint in this one ruins it for me

**Edit, maybe I was a bit too quick to judge this one. I've worn in 2 more times since my initial impression and I 'get it' now, it's like Aqua Universalis meets Heeleys Menthe Fraiche

Kenudigme

@blonc I hate it ... lol
Anyhow I actually am sampling this right now. I like it a lot. If it continues to do well on my skin I might have to purchase a full bottle just in time for summer. I read some say it leans feminent... hmm I can see why they mention that but it's definitely unisex. It's not powdery nor sweet. The lime - mint leaf and the musk over the aqua makes it safely masculine in my skin.

JohnLocke

Very fresh, leans feminine to me, reminds me of shower gel (albeit an incredibly good one)... I still like it, just not something I'd wear. I prefer universalis. Maybe something for my other half

To update this I'd say it's very much a warm weather scent, so testing it indoors in the middle of a Canadian winter feels like I'm really not doing it justice.

What does it remind me of?

Sitting out in the sun on a hot summer day somewhere tropical or Mediterranean with a brisk, super refreshing lime gin and tonic with mint leaf on the side as a garnish in hand while getting a breeze of mimosa blossom and a little black currant in the air. Similar in ways to Guerlain's Homme Intense but less woody, much fresher and more floral. Also the lime in this I find more natural than Guerlain's and the mint is really natural as well, and all seamlessly blended. End result is very bright and fresh, almost cooling in nature - perfect for hot weather!

edge42

Just got my bottle and we tried it yesterday, as usual from MFK it's an excellent composition - definitely a crowd pleaser as everyone who smelled it loved it (myself and 2 women).

MFK's description on his website is spot on, it's a really bracing refreshing scent of lime with a tartness to it and added freshness from mint, slight sweetness from the black currant to keep it from going too sour on a base of mimosa blossoms and musk. I'm not too familiar with mimosa blossom but from what we can tell it lends a slight femininity to the composition pegging it as very unisex. Quite an addicting scent and I can't wait to try it in the warmer weather, with a couple sprays in the indoors projection was middle of the road, too early to judge longevity though.

JoeMacchiato

One can definitely detect the Aqua lineage in Aqua Celestia, which is soft and billowy due to the added floral note(mimosa). It is the most feminine in the Aqua family but nonetheless it can easily be worn by both genders.

*For those who are hesitant because of the mint note, worry not. While it's impossible to ignore the cold, fresh mintiness, the toothpaste/gum effect is non-existent.

Jimmy821

I wasn't overly impressed with this fragrance, I've gotten a sample of this from Neiman Marcus last week. It's on the weak to moderate side. I do smell the lime and a hint of mint and black currant and musk.

edge42

Just wanted to let everyone know that Aqua Celestia is now available on MFK's website. I've been looking forward to this one so I ordered a bottle - will update with impressions once I get it!

uchini

The fragance release is in 2017. So, why are you saying things about the smell? PLEASE, be more serious.
