Angel Muse Eau de Toilette by Mugler is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. Angel Muse Eau de Toilette was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Quentin Bisch. Top notes are Passionfruit, Mandarin Orange and Lemon; middle notes are Hazelnut cocoa spread and Cassis; base notes are Vetiver, Chocolate, Akigalawood and Caramel.

In 2016, the house of Thierry Mugler opened a new chapter in the story of the famous gourmand galaxy of Angel fragrances - the "futuristic - gourmand" Angel Muse. The Eau de Toilette version of this scent comes out at the end of 2017.

Angel Muse Eau de Toilette represents an addiction to good vibes and an invitation to live every moment fully. The original Eau de Parfum version is announced as the first velvety-gourmet scent, while the new edition introduces a woody-gourmand-fruity composition. The opening notes are described as a "luminous explosion" of mandarin and passion fruit, the heart is an "addictive explosion" of hazelnut cream, and the base creates a "magnetic explosion" of akigalawood and vetiver. It is a “joyous, tender and gourmand eau de toilette (that) reinterprets the duo of hazelnut cream and vetiver of the earlier version with a new fruity facet, giving an extremely soft and subtle result.”

It is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette in a cosmic pebble-shaped bottle that is entirely covered in metallic rose-gold effect lacquer.

The combination of passionfruit and cassis is a scent straight from hell! Absolutely disgusting

Cloverdosee

If Angel Muse is Angel’s hotter sister, this is the hot sister’s even HOTTER bff. They’re just those girls that KNOW they're those girls and they want everyone around them to know they are in fact those girls! Both are undisputed baddies, but something about the EDT is so refreshing.. at least, in comparison to Muse OG. Definitely still on the heavier side overall, but in comparison I think the passionfruit really helps this shine more for every day use and give a much appreciated dose of fruity freshness while still retaining the classic muse dna we all love. Basically smells like Muse OG but just a bit lighter with more of a candied fruity aspect. I’m legit devastated they’re both discontinued now because I genuinely consider them some of the best perfumes of all time..

frag_nostalgia

A side by side comparison of both Muses, EDP and EDT, on each arm layered over a base of Iso E Super (to really draw out the notes and nuances). A beautiful fragrance. More fruit forward than, but not as saccharine as, the EDP -- giving it freshness and a lighter feel. EDT lacks the deep punch 👊🏼 of patchouli that is way prominent in the EDP. An addition of cassis gives this a slight floral accord. I do find the patchouli + vetiver, along with a lack of the tropical fruit as found in here, makes the chocolate note in the EDP version stand out more. You still get a cocoa accord here, it's just not as obvious. It's more on the caramel side than the overt chocolateyness of EDP. Overall, this one is a slightly less sweet, drier (musky, even), fruitier, and lightly floral version of the EDP. I notice the EDP has a bigger sillage, whereas the EDT sits closer to the skin, and has just a tad less longevity. I do love both fragrances, and it's almost impossible to choose a preference; as one is clearly for the colder season, while this one is better suited to warmth and humidity due to it's lighter, floral, dry white wine-like quality. Which is precisely how I'll compare the two!

If you love a smooth, deep red wine, or a sweet rosé (or dark or milk chocolate), get the EDP.
If you prefer a cool, dry, tart white wine (or ruby or white chocolate), go for the EDT.

This is my SOTD for today after a long time. It macerated a lot. So yummy and gorgeous with amazing scent trail 🥰

MyScentBubble

Absolutely delicious butttt a little too sweet for me, think pink sugar kinda sweet

Elyka21

I can't feel any caramel at all. To my nose it smells the same with the original Muse, the only small difference are some sour notes intermixed, probably the passion fruit or/and the lemon, which are not that great. I regret buying both, one would have been enough.

Msala140

If anyone has a bottle of this for sale lmk ….

vibrant.girl

This one was a slow-to-love for me. Snagged a bottle for a steal and my first thought was disappointment… it’s not nearly as fruity as I thought it would be. BUT! All the Nutella sweetness and passionfruit freshness come out to play in the drydown, and then I’m happy. I just don’t care for the opening of this one.

In comparison, the EDP is more linear: Nutella and vetiver combine to smell a bit minty. Both EDP and EDT are worth a try for patchouli-haters IMO, since it plays a supportive role and isn’t as loud as in Angel itself.

RottigrlNYC

Oh wow this one is sooo beautiful. It’s so much nicer than the edp, which I also own. My bottle is vintage and very strong and it projects very well, don’t know why it’s called an edt when it out performs the edp. IF you can find a vintage bottle, buy it, don’t hesitate, it’s truly beautiful . I’m so glad I have a large bottle of this beautiful perfume. Just like my vintage Angel bottle from 1998, I’m not ever letting these go. This one is even harder to find. I wanted to buy a back up. So far nobody is parting with their bottle. I don’t blame them.

hnk11

Exclusively a winter scent in my opinion. Fruity chocolate. Not for everyone, but I enjoy it. Lasts for 8+ hours and the sillage is strong.

Rayasfragrancevisions

Not for me! It didn’t make me feel very clean, nor was it the type of chocolatey fruity mix I was anticipating 😞 … I don’t like how the notes reacted with my skin and body chemistry. It was eventually decluttered it sadly, I like the original better and what it offers to me personally.

Frontandscenter

This is not at all what I expected.
Almost immediately after first spritz I smell a strong, dry, chocolatey patchouli. Quite harsh. And that’s almost it. After a while I can detect som hazelnut, some citrus, and, if I strain my nose, perhaps a hint of caramel. Very faint.
No freshness, no tropicalness, no fruits.
Not unpleasant, only “ eh…?”
No longevity to speak of.
Quite underwhelming, but I guess it’s just my luck and my skin chemistry.

Flared Maple

For people smelling a BO note in this; wear it in colder weather.
The notes would have you think this is great for summer/spring, but I actually almost exclusively wear this in the winter.
The cold really lets the bright, fresh notes shine.

Pentagon

Angel Muse EDT is an interesting, lighter take on the EDP that evolves over time. If you think that the EDP is too strong and dominant in patchouli, this would be great for you to try.

At first spray, the EDT smells like a sharper version of the EDP -- this must be the passionfruit and citrus notes. Fortunately, about 15-20 minutes later, the citrus opening notes disappeared and left a soft, powdery hazelnut cocoa scent. Another 1-2 hours later, and the hazelnut cocoa scent turned into a fainter skin scent.

VERDICT: I would recommend the EDT for people who live in warm climates and/or do not like the strong patchouli in the EDP. With the EDT, you get the essence of the EDP, but it's much softer and easier to wear once you get past the sharp fruits in the opening. I can see wearing the EDT in the daytime, and then layering in the EDP at night -- so you get complementary scents that don't clash.

Do you need both the EDP and the EDT? No, not necessarily. If you like the EDP, that's really where the magic is for people who like bold Mugler scents. The EDP really is like a more wearable version of the original Angel, which works for me.

I would recommend the EDT for people who either want a daytime or warmer-weather-friendly version of the EDP or who don't like the bold patchouli in the EDP. If money were no object, you should get both as a day-to-night fragrance wardrobe.

Ultimately, I am selling my 50 ml EDT. But that's only because I already have 1 bottle of the EDP and 2 back-ups because it's all been discontinued, and I don't think I can justify having the EDT too. But if I could, I'd keep them all.

A Chocolate-Covered Pineapple Wedge...
Vetiver & patchouli are the stars of the show here. Opens with a fruity burst of passionfruit supported by tart mandarin & lemon, that deepens into a chocolate-hazelnut spread, and already vetiver is swelling through. Going into the heart, the chocolate-hazelnut spread includes cinnamon accents to my nose, while vetiver is multi-faceted and includes a near-pineapple nuance along with its woody & grassy tones. The overall effect here is like a chocolate-covered pineapple wedge. All of this rests on an akigalawood & vetiver base. Well above average performance, with a beautiful scent profile that reads feminine to my nose, but with elements usually reserved for men's cologne. Unfortunately this has been discontinued, but it's still available on the grey market. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Wearing this today and catching randoms whiffs of it, I came to the surprising realization that at some distance this smells a good bit like NR for Her edt, and I think I found the connection:

There was recently a string of reviews for Angel Muse edt alleging that it smelled like body odor due to the passionfruit -- I sort understood this as certain citruses can sometimes have this effect for me. But I'm realizing now that the passionfruit note is giving a similar effect to the "clean sweat dried by fresh air" aspect of many Egyptian musk fragrances, such as NR for Her or Tocca Cleopatra.

Slightly astringent, fruity topnotes mixed with a vanillic sweetness and clean/fractalized patchouli (or in the case of Angel Muse, Aikagalawood) in the drydown gives NR for Her edt and Angel Muse edt a lot in common IMO. Consult your nose, and give me a balloon if you agree with this plausible-but-cockamamie-sounding theory.

Fruit-chan

Delightful more summery version of Angel Muse.A beauty for sure.
Scrumptious masterpiece.
Chocolate ice cream with plenty of nuts and syrup and a fresh delicious exotic fruits sorbet.
Eventhough its super oily on my skin when I spray it (i see and feel the oils of the perfume,so I know its rich) but it doesnt last nor project like the original Angel and the Angel Muse EDP.It's unfortunate, but I'll take it.This is yet another heavenly creation.

ingrid.superstar

Acquiring this was a happy accident. I thought I had scored a 100ml bottle Angel Muse edp, both of which are getting quite hard to find, but no — I now am the proud owner of the edt.

This is a bright, fruity, and creamy scent, grounded by an earthy, almost-fuzzy patchouli note. It opens with a juicy passionfruit note that is fresh and pungent, having the almost pine-like edge of ripe mango pulp. This gives way to hazelnut, vanilla, and caramel swirled together. The list of notes alleges hazelnut *spread* and chocolate, but I don’t notice any chocolate. No, what this fragrance reminds me of is actually the slightly sweet and nutty smell of pumpkin purée or squash—not pumpkin spice, but the fresh, starchy, lightly fruity effect of pure pumpkin. I think this is caused by the brightness of the passionfruit meeting the smooth creaminess of hazelnut. That’s what makes this fragrance so unique in my opinion.

A few hours after the interesting pumpkin effect, this becomes a vanilla/caramel/patchouli gourmand that stays close to the skin. I am really enjoying wearing this in the last gasps of summer heat and humidity.

I did end up buying Angel Muse edp as well, like I originally intended. Haven’t tried it in several years, so I look forward to re-visiting and re-reviewing after it arrives tomorrow!

AnlisaC

Love it and different from the EDP. NO BO here at all! This is much sweeter and fruitier than the nutty, earthy patchouli of the EDP. Once it dries s down it is strong for being an edt and takes on beautiful fruity patchouli. I love this and I feel I need both in my collection! Again 😡 it’s being discontinued and will be harder to find! Recommended if you can get your hands on this before it’s gone 8/10

RottigrlNYC

Beautiful gourmand perfume, it’s citrusy at first and then all I get is yummy cocoa and caramel til it’s a skin scent a few hrs later. It doesn’t last very long on me, but that’s ok. 3-4hrs is enough . I don’t get any BO smell like some of u ppl do. Maybe you’re smelling your own BO. This perfume is straight up very gourmand.

zahraghobari

In response to the ones who get BO, it’s the passionfruit note.

Too bad I’m picking that up too. Otherwise a beautiful fragrance.

justcheckinout

This is like mixing the top notes of the OG Angel (Clarins era) with the drydown of Angel Muse EDP. The passionfruit opening is rather tart compared to the sugared grapefruit opening in the EDP, and the opening of OG Angel EDP does remind me of tropical fruits. I also don't get as much hazelnut as in the EDP; the nutty facet is rather like over-roasted almonds with a bitter aftertaste, probably because of the akigalawood. The patchouli-vetiver-chocolate Muse DNA is still very prominent here, even though patchouli is not listed here. Overall I don't think it's as smooth and creamy as the EDP, but I still like it.

poodleParty

I'm wearing this today, and the caramel note really comes out in warm weather. It definitely smells different in winter...that being said, I completely understand what the reviewer below (@herculano) is saying about the BO smell. I noticed that if I spray too much, the patchouli can smell like BO (this happens with EDP as well). If I get some on my clothing, that also leaves the BO-like smell.

Anyways, I think this is actually better in the cold weather. I'm starting to find it too "thick" for this warm weather.

herculano

I do think this is beautiful, on one hand.

I went through an addictive phase with it. It can be addictive just like Angel Muse EDP. Tart fruit and cocoa powder. It’s an odd but admittedly addictive combo.

However one day I wore this and ran errands. As I was standing talking to the bank teller I smelled a distinctly sour BO (body odor) smell, and right away I knew it was my perfume.

I was so embarrassed.

It easily can smell like BO, unfortunately. At least to me.

I haven’t had the courage to put it on since that day, and this was many months ago.

I much prefer Angel Muse EDP (it’s one of my favorites in my collection).

Gatorsrules

A fruity more transparent take on Angel. I love this in the Florida heat. The tropical passion fruit lingers and blends with the creamy chocolate and vanilla. The patch rounds this out and really show the Angel DNA. Overall this is a 10/10 and I’m so happy I found a 100ml!

nanaa_from_ghana

It was chilly in NYC yesterday, so I decided to give this one a go. When you have 100+ bottles in your collection, it makes it challenging to pick what you want to wear everyday. On the flip side, it’s nice because you have such a big variety and are never bored with what you can wear from day to day. For some reason, my nose was CRAVING this one so I said f*ck it, it’ll be my scent of the day.

This is one of the more unique and standout fragrances in my collection, just based on the notes and on the scent itself. Angel Muse EDT is fruity, chocolate-y, a little earthy from the patchouli, and very sweet. Although, the Vetiver and woodiness keep it from being unbearably sweet. It’s quite loud from first spray, but settles nicely without ever waning too much in strength. It lingers on your clothes FOREVER and has excellent longevity on skin. Very powerful for an EDT but it’s Mugler and Mugler usually never disappoints when it comes to performance. If you wear it properly, it’s a scent that can be worn throughout any season. The passion fruit and citrus make it nice for warm weather, but the chocolate, woods, and Vetiver make it nice for the cold weather.

The last time I remember wearing it was sometime last year when I had gone out to brunch with my friends and my boyfriend. I remember spraying it on (I put way too much on lol) and rubbed up on my boyfriend and got a bit on his shirt. A few days later, he tells me a story about how he wore that same shirt to the gym and everyone was stopping him to tell him how amazing he smelled LOL. It’s THAT strong and THAT good. I’ll definitely be wearing it more while it still cold but also try to give it a go this spring/summer in the evenings.

This is a true masterpiece and is a great example of the amazing work of Thierry Mugler. I’m also not shocked that Quentin Bisch is the perfumer here. I love almost everything he creates. This has been discontinued, but I will always try to have this in my collection. Absolutely love this scent.

dubnobass

Chiming in here just to provide a comparison between this (the EDT) and the EDP version. You would think one would be a stronger version of the other but they are slightly different fragrances. The EDP is much warmer and carries a sweetness to it that lasts for hours, while the EDT tends to the more masculine and has an undertone of pencil sharpenings about it. I have samples of both but will only buying a bigger bottle of the EDP.

LOST_HORIZON

Angel muse edt is a Mugler with all its letters, here is one of the few Muglers that still have the indisputable stamp of this great cosmic house.

This Angel Muse has a very prominent, strong, overwhelming and singular cocoa cream with patchouli. But if we add to this set with so much personality a splendid passion fruit (which I don't feel synthetic, but very natural) we have a fragrance with a wonderful fruity glow that is happy, fun and playful. It is ideal for celebrating the joy of spring or simply for a change at any time of the year and always bearing the unmistakable Mugler hallmark: innovation and avant-garde.

Its sillage and durability are quite good.

autumnangel

This was a blind buy for me and I really like it! You can totally get the chocolate and creamy caramel with a bit of spice. This is definitely not a boring perfume, as it is the case for most Mugler perfumes, but I personally love Mugler.
Weirdly it reminds me so much of La Nuit Tresor a la Folie, especially in the dry down, but with a bit of an edgy twist! Love it!

xiaoxiao

If you find this fragrance unbearably loud in the spring/summer, please try it in colder weather (sub 50°F/10°C) first before giving up completely.

In the heat Angel Muse EDT makes me nauseous, but it's a delicious, fruity/nutty treat in the cold.

mechawitch

this is so unique but very crowd pleasing for a mugler fragrance! in my skin the passionfruit takes center stage from first spray. around 5 minutes after spraying, the passionfruit becomes more subdued (even though it's still prominent) and the cassis and chocolate come out. it's beautifully blended and very original and wearable. it is pastry sweet, but also woody and tart/fruity. overall, it's a yummy combo! also, it smells nothing like the original angel, which is a plus because i can't stand it.

Turkish_delight

I really wanted to love this as Muse EDP is one of my faves of all time. Sadly this becomes cloying and one dimensional- like a cheap body spray. I think its my skin chemistry as it smells much better on a blotter. Not a safe blind buy IMO, as I love the EDP and the original Angel and this was terrible on me.

susana_lago

Honestly I really like this one. I blind bought this and at first sniff I was expecting it to be more chocolate smelling, but I realize now that's the magic of Mugler. It has to be a little bit weird and different to everything else to the point that you can't compare it to anything else from another brand.

If you buy this expecting the classic traditional chocolate smelling, think about it again before buying. It's not. I was expecting this BUT I knew it could be different of what I was expecting. I really felt attracted to the notes and everything about this perfume.

I really enjoy Aura and Alien, although they're not my favorite perfumes at all, but I really appreciate them and admire this kind of outstanding creations. I have to say that I didn't try the Angel Muse EDP, but I HATE ANGEL original EDP.

This one is waaaay less complex than the Angel EDP, but you can get the same DNA very toned down with less notes. The Angel original EDP smells to me like odor - weeks without getting a shower - very strong mixture of weird and the worst blended/balanced notes in the history... A TOTAL MESS, but this Angel Muse EDT smells like green artificial forest or mowed humid grass (as someone said before), passion fruit (if you're like me, you smell some fruitish smell but wouldn't guess which one, just a tropical or similar one in a very artificial way), and patchouli.

It doesn't smell directly like chocolate to me... It is like it smells a bit like that but unintentionally, like the blend of notes happened to produce that note, or something along those lines. I hope you understand it. It's not an obvious chocolate, SPECIALLY if you smell the perfume very close to the sprayer or the sprayed skin zone. If you smell it on the air it's sweet - chocolatey and less green, but still isn't like a true chocolate smell.
It smells very different if you take a whiff of the sprayed skin zone and if you smell it in the air around yourself. It smells way better from distance, and I find it a bit too strong and confusing if I smell it directly from my sprayed wrist or from the bottle, but I still feel so intrigued to this smell that I keep getting it closer to my nose anyways 😂

In summary, it's a pleasing smell if you know what you're buying and you're not expecting a realistic chocolate note - true edible gourmand, for me it's not like that. Not a safe blind buy for everyone, I wouldn't blind buy if you don't like any Mugler Fragrances, or if you're very sensitive to sweet smells.
To me you have to take this with an open mind and a bit of an experienced nose. If I had gotten this fragrance when I only had La Vie Est Belle or any other gourmand edible perfumes, I would absolutely HATED IT. Glad it's not the case and I like it.

I think I would run out of my 50 mL really quickly, specially this winter. But I feel like it's suitable for all seasons (without extreme heat or humidity).

I need to add that this version doesn't last on me more than 3-4 hours (may be because of my bad days with allergy in this season, maybe I can not smell it plenty). It's not very long lasting, fair to expect for an EDT. And I TOTALLY AGREE with people saying it smells different every time you spray it!!! It sounds weird and I didn't believe it that much but OMG it's true 😍 yesterday I smelled more greenish - vetiver, and today is true passionfruit and candy. An absolute masterpiece 🤌🏻

Sharon39

So this is one of those perfumes that I wanted so badly because of the chocolate/hazelnut spread/caramel notes in it (I love gourmand fragrances) but there was always something that put me off buying it whether it be other people's reviews of it saying its more fruit forward and tropical smelling or that it smells like dirt or body odour and sour or tart and I didn't want to spend so much on a perfume I would end up not liking and adding to that I couldn't decide whether I would be best getting the EDP or EDT (I am waaay too indecisive it drives me nuts lol) so didn't end up getting it. That was until I was browsing perfumes online and came across a sale which had the 100ml edt for £40 and so I took the plunge and bought it. It arrived this morning and OMG!!!! I AM IN LOVE 😍 This is just everything I wanted and then some more 😍 On my skin its just sweet but creamy and comforting at the same time. I don't get the tartness or fruitiness that others have mentioned but maybe it's the passionfruit that gives it the sweetness as I don't get the citrus either nor do I get the dirt or bo smell thankfully. What I do get is sweet velvety nutty chocolate and caramel. There is something else in the background though that pulls it all together, I was thinking maybe a soft patchouli but that isn't listed in the description and so I have come to the conclusion that it's the mixture of the vetiver and akigalawood which combined give a really soft but not pungent patchouli smell. The combination is just so comforting but a bit edgy at the same time. After a few hours, the more I smell it the more it's starting to remind me of Prada Candy Night (one of my favourites) but minus the orange and bitter Neroli but with much better lasting power and the original angel edt but sweeter and with more caramel instead of vanilla and less patchouli. I am so pleased I purchased this, I think its my new favourite perfume, now I just need to get the EDP as I think I need them both 😍 I might even buy myself another few back up bottles as now I have this, I can't see myself ever being without it! ♥️

janet.3

I really wanted to like it but it turns masculine on me and smells like I'm wearing old man cologne. I think it's the chocolate and vetiver? It doesn't seem to gel with my chemistry.

Flared Maple

This really is Angel Muse’s sparkly little sister.
It had the same cocoa base you expect from the Angel DNA, but layered with a sparkling, sweet, tart, fruityness.
Based on the notes I expected this to be more of an EDT I would like wearing in the spring, but the tartness of the cassis in the heart really makes this a nice daytime winter scent for me.

Every time I spray this on I instantly think: "Sugarplum fairy"

If you love the Angel and/or Angel Muse DNA, but feel like these are too heavy for daytime wear, then I would really recommend checking this one out.
I read here its discontinued(?!), so if you could find this on sale I wouldn’t pass it up.

Its a pretty safe blind buy if you’re a fan of Mugler Angel or Angel Muse.

Edit after 2 months of occasional wear:
This fragrance is the biggest complement getter in my collection in winter!
Almost every time I wear this, someone compliments me on my scent.

AlexandraTroush

It was a "meh" when I just got it, but a few years passed and I now love it. I can't imagine not having both this and the EDP anymore.

I find that the EDT works best in the cold for me, while the EDP is my summer go-to. In the cold, the EDT is sweeter and more comforting on me, while the EDP is piercing and sour. In the summer everything changes, the EDT becomes too heavy and suffocating, and the EDP becomes just right with that freshness in the opening. This one also has a cinnamon vibe that's not in the EDP, even though it's not listed.
I love both, and if you ask me which one to buy if you could only afford one of them, I'd say test both in the heat and in the cold, because they work completely different when the temperatures change, and you could easily like one better than the other based on chemistry.

lorem_ipsum

In the opening it's like Angel EDT + synthetic passionfruit, then it settles into a softer version of Angel Muse EDP. Gives me teenage girl vibes.

Czill

What I love about Mugler is that at first sniff it may feel synthetic, too much but then… hours later you wonder what smells that good and it’s YOU!
Love it. Highly recommend it if you like stronger perfumes that are a bit different and stay on.

Pinkfloyde:)

I personally prefer this one over the EDP.
A gorgeous passionfruit, chocolate, vetiver mix that makes this perfume truly unique in its own right. It’s difficult to describe, but it’s intoxicating.
If I happen to spray this on my wrist, without doubt I’ll constantly be smelling it. It’s the perfect spicy-fruity perfume I’ve been looking for.
The longevity on this one is rather moderate. I’d say it, unfortunately, only reaches 4 hours on my skin, although this standard of performance is expected from an EDT. The silage is nuts though.
Safe blind buy? If you want something uniquely fruity, spicy and gourmand- it’s worth a shot. Tragic it’s discontinued though.

miss_aly

The reason I haven't left a review for this perfume is simply because words CANNOT do it justice. This is one of my all-time favorite cold weather scents. I've never had a spicy gourmand that was so perfect until I found this one. It's a shame that Mugler (L'Oreal) discontinued this frag! If you enjoy warm/spicy sweet scents at all, do yourself a favor and try this one out before it's rare. You won't regret it. It projects beautifully and has decent longevity. I own both the EDP and EDT. I prefer the EDP for its lasting power, but if you want a slightly less heavy version, the EDT is also amazing.

Bebeck

A nice punchy fruity opener. Definitely get the passion fruit that has a tangy, tropical quality and deep red berries. I always get powder with the Angel scents. then dries down to a very mild woody and faint sweet nutty note that practically disappears on my skin.
I know it's only an edt so the performance isn't as powerful but it hadn't even been an hour and I feel it has gone. Disappointing due to longevity and silage. May be because of my natural skin. The cocoa nut fragrance lasts a little longer on clothing so this will be something I mainly spray on my clothes.
Imo not worth the money spent and wouldn't rush to buy a back up considering it has been discontinued.
I love the scent I do get but it disappears and doesn't perform.

rude_wasp

First impression:
I'm a bit disappointed, I expected a yummier version of the edp, but it smells more like fruity showergel with bonbons.

In the first few minutes, it is almost identical to the edp, only a bit more fruity. Then the differences come through more: where the edp's notes work together in harmony, the edt's clash. And in a quite weird way. The fresh, fruity notes create a body odouresque/armpitlike scent with the warm/gourmand parts. It's....not my favourite, and yet, surpisingly, it does not make the whole fragrance bad, since it's not too overpowering.
After a few hours, it smells like the edp's little clumsy sister; who is smart and pretty, has a lot of potencial, but needs to grow up to be her big sister.

The edp and the edt a very similar, I don't think you need both. Go for the edp, that's a masterpiece.

Actually pissed how much I like this. Why does it have to be discounted man. This is genuinely the sexiest designer fruity perfume. I love how the sweetness plays with the sourness.
I promised myself that I wouldn't fall inlove with discontinued fragrances but here I am.
edit: It's doesn't last more than 3/4 hours but i don't care, it's so addicting i don't mind reapplying even though it's probably not ideal with a discontinued perfume 🙃🙃
Mugler stop discontinueing your best perfumes challenge. Do that challenge.

MimesOtto

Fruity earthy woody and a bit chocolaty (not much cacao though thankfully). It is delicious garner compliments, moderate performance which is good for EDT.

igalmusic

Beautiful perfume, I much prefer the Edt version, unfortunately the lasting power is not great... This one is fruity, earthy and woody, very sexy fragrance. Perfect for the spring and summer

loversandxo

This smells exactly like how the Plaisir Passion fruit hazelnut lingottis taste. Heavenly and decadent. Backup worthy and one of my favourites out of the entire Mugler range.

Catmo

I don’t hate it but I also don’t love it. I’m intrigued by it. It’s very interesting and unique and for that reason I keep wearing it. I feel that way about Angel EDT too. I’ve never tried Angel EDP. I’m impartial to patchouli, it doesn’t ever make or break a fragrance for me so I can’t comment on that aspect. I enjoy wearing this for its uniqueness.
I really get no chocolate or caramel. I mostly get passion fruit and patchouli..

likesleet

get a lot of maltol, but not in a gross way. warm spicy chocolate. it’s nice.

Shalize

If I could eat this I would
It’s so refreshing mmmmm and so comforting all at once
Definitely a gorgeous summer scent
I prefer the edt then the edp for this one as the edp ressembles the original angel a lot

fonty_o

I purchased this expecting a fruitier Angel Muse without the trademark patchouli that is in The EDP and Angel, as well as countless other Angel flankers.
This STILL has that patchouli!
It's not listed in the notes above, but trust me, it's there! So if you aren't a fan of the patchouli in Angel, don't get this! It's the main note, and takes over the entire fragrance. Only for Angel lovers IMO.

ScentBliss555

This starts with a Coco Mademoiselle fruitchouli opening that quickly blends into soft and smooth gourmand territory. I am actually really impressed by this one. Each and every time I smell a Mugler creation it smells as such. Really divine composition that unfolds from a heavily earthy-fruity opening into a swirl of cocoa with the slightest tartness and earthiness. I like the bite in Mugler scents. Not exactly an easy reach but one good and assertive statement perfume!

It smells like grape from the bottle but it's chocolatey gourmand on skin.

ASanders

I give up on mugler as a brand. I got zero sweetness from this. It smelled like a mixture of gasoline fumes, under arm odor and wet potting soil... specifically the kind with chemical fertilizer mixed in the soil. My husband smelled it and said I smelled like the lawn and garden section of home depot after they've watered all the plants on a hot and humid day so it wasn't just me. The original angel just smells like dirt, the edt version is just a watered down version and alien smells like cough syrup and something toxic that shouldn't be put on the skin. I tried all the flankers to alien as well and sold every single one of them on Mercari. I just can't with mugler.

MothRah

This is another weird one from Mugler. I purchased this on discount from TJ Maxx (USA). I do not have a fully formed opinion on it yet, but for some reason I smell grape? Like a purple/red grape - not the juice though, the fruit with the skin and the vine. I don't know what that's about, its not unpleasant, just unique for a fragrance. It seems that most people recommend this for fall and spring.. I think that could work out, because I feel very in-between in my perception of this one's "seasonality". I have to continue to wear this. It's mysterious to me.

TexasOrangeBlossom

I think all Thierry Mugler creations take a bold, adventurous person to appreciate, and even then, it sometimes takes years to get there. The new Mugler (without Thierry) creations are more mass appealing. In my opinion, they aren’t nearly as interesting. On to Angel Muse EDT, when I wear it I almost always get a compliment. I live where winter is brief and heat and humidity can occur any day of the year. The EDP is something I can only wear 5-10 days a year unless on vacation to a colder climate. I love it, but it is something I have to be in the mood for. When I do wear it, I never regret it! Sillage and longevity are great. Lasts a full work day on me with moderate sillage. It’s perfect sprayer provides a way to apply lightly when desired. It’s also the perfect sprayer for applying to hair, which provides a beautiful waft. Love it!

KylieBooFace

Hmm, Angel Muse EDT is another paradoxical offering from Mugler. I tried this in a decant years ago and immediately noped out.

But now, I was intrigued because I grew to adore Muse EDP. Like the EDP, EDT has a slight hint of icyness and freshness paired with prominent earthiness. It is indeed slightly sweet but the tartness is extremely prominent (but not to the point of Angel Eau Sucree thank goodness). When I sprayed Muse EDT, I immediately thought of a tropical popsicle with zero added sugars or sweeteners, just a hint of natural sweetness from the fruit. I sprayed it on about 10 minutes ago and barely smell the chocolate and caramel. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous. I love my little space pebble!! I expect I will love Angel Muse EDP a little more, but I appreciate the art of this concoction. We'll see how it dries down.

Edit: It's been about a half hour. The fangs of EDT have faded. More chocolate hazelnut appears. EDT is softer, a bit less sweet, and less earthy than the EDP. I am relieved it became more balanced in time. Some citrus remains, more prominently than the EDP, albeit pleasant. The fresh icyness also remains, similar to EDP.

If anyone has ever thought Black Opium or Black Opium Neon to be edgy, they should smell Muse EDT. What a wild ride. 😆

Mghen

Love this yummy scent, it was a successful blind buy for me. I can appreciate the passion fruit which is one of my favorite fruits and thr chocolate. This fragrance is fresh, fruity, woody and deliciously sweet.

mevans

I love the edp but it's admittedly pretty thick and cloying for summer. That's where this edt steps in. It's so close to the original in nature but lighter. Because it's so close, I feel like you have to appreciate the edp to really like the edt. There is that unmistakable angel muse DNA in it. Sweet, chocolatey goodness. I like wearing it in the day and then switching to the edpt for the evening.

Gioia's secret

If I had doubts with Angel, Angel Muse EDT made me realize that I don’t like neither this one nor other Angel flankers so it is actually true that those who love Alien won’t like Angel.
I sprayed Angel Muse on my blouse and the whole day its scent was annoying me, I am sure that everyone had this experience with perfumes when you smell something unpleasant and suddenly you realize that this smell comes from you. I am glad that I haven’t bought it blindly.
I think I hate all perfumes that have either honey note or something similar to honey.-p.s. Scandal by JPG is the most horrible thing I have ever smelled

Fefe19

This is a nice fruity jam and chocolate scent. It’s sounds very sweet, but the fruit is tart and balances out the sweetness of the cacao cream. I like the combination of both. Very similar to the edp, the difference being the cacao is less present and you get more of the tartness of the fruit. I don’t recognize passion fruit, to me it’s just fruity. So the result is it’s less creamy, and a nice change from the edp which works better on cooler days. This one can be worn in warmer weather (evenings), perhaps not in high heat, it remains quite heavy.
Great performance for an edt, lasts all day on my skin and projects for around 4 to 5 hours before becoming a skin scent. I won’t repurchase even though I like it a lot, just because it is so similar to the edp, and that one is my favorite between the two.

Hannehoney

I was so curious about this...on first spray, I get a very strong passionfruit...after a few minutes Im getting whiffs of a sweaty man! LOL! I never thought I was going to say that...This is not a good scent on me :( its basically just passionfruit and sweaty man...Im just being honest. Had to scrub it off.

Coffeeandscents

I am surprised how much I like this fragrance!!! It is a very sweet, powdery chocolate , passion fruit scent!! It is very unique, mixing sweet fruit and powdery chocolate, there is also a woody base which I love. I am not getting the “sweaty, body odor ” notes that are mentioned in some reviews. Thank god! Lol. It is the perfect gourmand scent for spring and summer. It lasts on my skin for at least 6-7 hours with medium projection.

Fuegogo

I prefer the EDP. Not sure about the Passionfruit in this. It doesn’t blend too well with the chocolate.

witch_x3

This is such a unique scent and does truly stand out from the other Mugler scents. I love this one more than the EDP because its less of that patchouli stink. I get a lot of fruity passion fruit and hazelnut. It is long lasting and super pleasant.

rjhoyles

initially on my first spray it was a major "yikes that vile" kind of smell, stench even, I actually think I gagged a little but then when it dried on a little it was actually pretty tolerable, nice even. I still have mixed feelings though and I am still too scared to wear it out. its a very intimidating scent indeed.

Marxwick

The fruity opening may appear overly sweet. Once it settles down, however, the passion fruit blended with the chocolate is well balanced, refreshing, and light.
I prefer the EDT over the EDP because this does not have that dominant earthy patchouli.

bug.juice.184

Unusual, unique, seductive, it starts passionfruity, but that goes away after perhaps 20-30 minutes, and stays in a background, and than you have so fresh, feminine in feminists way, sophisticated and erotical scent, black currant leaf and vetiver are creating this low key intensity perhaps, and chocolate and salted caramel gives to composition sweet, but not too much, element, somehow this perfume keeps being fresh, but intense at the same time. So good, who adores Angel Muse and Angel, will love this as well, Alien people, perhaps not so much. Angel Muse EDP is my fav, but I love love this EDT as well, and use both, depends of a mood and weather. It's potent and strong, Mugler quality as it used to be always.

hola gigi

More jammy than Angel & more earthy than Angel Eau Croisière. The fruity notes give this a sparkling quality. The chocolate doesn't choke you out which is what I dislike about the original. An acquired taste, but less polarizing than scents like Angel or Alien. Overall it's okay, I just like Angel Eau Croisière better.

Purrplealien

This is my first review. I've been bying a bunch of samples after reading the reviwes on Fragrantica.

I actually blind-bought Alien Mugler just because of the name and the beautiful bottle, and I really want to like the Mugler perfumes but they are not for my nose.

Have been trying Angel Muse EdT for a week now and I will test it again in the spring. For the time being it's a big no from me. The first spray is really heavy and cloying, but it also makes me kind of curious. The dry-down is better, but there's two notes I can't identify yet and I don't really care for them.

I can smell Angel Muse on my skin for 8+ hours and the sillage is moderate.

AlaskanAngel

Sweet and fruity, soft patchouli.

Would patchouli by any other name still smell moldy? Yup!

Akigalawood is "A synthetic molecule reminiscent of patchouli with a hint of pepper and fine agarwood."

I couldn't call this a gourmand. I don't get candy or smoke, just super sweet florals and moldy fruit. Smells nothing like ByTheFireplace.

Review of official carded sample that came free with purchase.

mytrueessense

This is no Angel flanker. This is a Demon. Mugler Angel Muse EDT is a more feminine version of Replica's By the Fireplace.
Study the notes of both fragrances and conduct some blind tests with your people.

I love it partly because Patchouli is not my friend in the amounts of the original Angel. This potion has zero Patchouli. Mugler site does not list it as a note for the EDT. What is mistaken for Patchouli is the Akigalawood base note..which is also the source of the smoke.

Mugler Angel Muse EDT release date was 2017
Replica By the Fireplace release date was 2016

This is a deep intoxicating aroma that goes straight to your emotional core. Very feminine with its sweetness yet at the same time firey and masculine enough men can also wear it.

The bottle is gorgeous but seriously wish it came with a stand or attachment to stabilize. It is heavy glass with a removable magnetized click cap. It has flown off a glass shelf in my perfume curio at least 1/2 dozen times and several times took others with it. The slightest vibration sends it careening. Today I moved it down a level to a wooden shelf next to Aura.

rebs777

I love the drydown, but the first hour I cant stand,it s like a fruity choco mess (not Nutella ,but the cheap fake ones that smell a bit off)...the drydown is pretty, but my collection is too big for me to keep a perfume just for that reason..,also I know I wont reach for it bc of the opening...not a safe blindbuy

*Review for a 2017 formulation*
-Let me preface this before it gets down-voted by Mugler diehard fans..Muse EDT was never on my radar. I thought I was purchasing the EDP but it turned out the seller had mistakenly listed Muse EDT under a Muse EDP listing..so I received the Muse EDT instead of the EDP I sought to purchase.

-Angel Muse EDT is 60% similar to EDP. (Only the vetiver in common.)
-EDT opens fruity, stays fruity, and maintains a bright vibe throughout.
-I don't tend to like fruity and vetiver/tea scents mixing. So i guess I'm sending this back.
-Fruity scents are meant to be invigorating. To add a fresh vibe.
-Whereas tea scents are meant to help one wind-down after a long day.
-Ergo; mixing these two simply seems counterintuitive.
-Overall: Muse EDT is a honeyed vetiver scent with a bright citrusy opening and bright middle notes.
-Recommended for fall/winter.
-Has a slightly abrasive, chemical note to it as with all Mugler perfumes.
-TLDR; Angel Muse EDT doesn't have a place in my collection..it's going back. (-)

SummerRose

Wow!! This is a beautiful flanker. It's a fresher, lighter and fruiter version of Angel Muse EDP. It has fantastic performance and longevity. The sweetest of the passionfruit, the freshness of the citruses and the coziness from the cocoa, chocolate and caramel makes it comforting but quite unique. I have Angel Muse EDP but was curious and blind bought the EDT. I tell you, for me, I much prefer this version. It's just soooo good. Do you need both? Yes.... I think so. This is more versatile, a bit more fun and it does not compromise on longevity.
I am slowly becoming a massive Mugler fan. I really appreciate the performance and originality of the Fragrances whilst remaining quite affordable. This is good!

Soccergreat88

Sweet gourmand goodness. Hard to pick out the notes as usual with the Mugler perfumes in my opinion but I get sweet, little but of Cocoa, velvety, maybe almost truffle scent. It's really nice and addicting. This is a COMPLIMENT GETTER! Also very strong so only need a few sprays as per usual with Mugler perfumes. Don't be fooled by it being an EDT, it is strong. A beautiful flanker and I would highly suggest even if you don't like Angel or any other flankers; it's very different.

pinkalpaca

I blind bought it thanks to some reviews on here and I am so glad I did! Someone was saying that if you already like the EDP but want a lighter version of it then you should stop hesitating and buy this one. They were so right, this is literally a lighter and slightly fruitier version of the original, without the patchouli/earthy note. The two are veeery similar. The EDT is genuinely pleasant and pretty safe smelling, I’d say. It’s the farthest away you can go from the original angel without completely abandoning it. I can smell the nutella note from the muse EDP right from the start. The passion fruit disappears two seconds after spraying.
By the way, mugler perfume bottles have the nicest spray nozzles i’ve ever used. The perfume comes out as the finest, controlled mist.

sisina96rv

I blind bought it based on The Scented YT channel. Yana has got some good recommendations :)

It was a risk, because I can't stand Mr. Mugler's Alien or Angel.... But it turns out it was a good purchase and I got a bargain anyway, because the 50 ml bottle was not full and due to it the price was lower.

So, if you are like me that you don't understand Thierry Mugler's creations, give this a try. The nose behind this is Quentin Bisch - for me it was a signal that is should be good, as I like his blendings in general,... like Alberto Morillas. And yes, for me it is a strong like. Not love, but a strong like.

It opens quite sharp, splash of exotic, sour-sweet fruits right into your face. Not that I do not like it, just be aware. These notes last quite a long time, they started to fade after 1 hour. I was constantly sniffing the paper, where was that hazelnut and chocolate hiding :) The opening caused me a liiitle headache, I still like it, just it is overpowering. And then after that 1 hour chocolate and hazelnut start to peep through and yes, as others say, patchouli note joins, but in a very delicate way. I normally do not have any problem with patchouli, but I can't stand it in Angel OG. Here it seems that everything is very well balanced, very well blended, just you need to suffer through strong opening stage and then - voila! Now I get it why people say it is sexy and flirty. IT IS! You can wear it on a date boldly. But honestly the whole juice is just so powerful, that 1-2 spritzes are more than enough! It performs like an extrait de parfum, unbelievable! I am happy that I own it.

Christinageor10

Angel Muse EDT is stunning and delicious! I get the brightness of the passion fruit with citrus in the initial. The hazelnut spread and chocolate are present throughout with the woody base notes, giving this gourmand fragrance complexity and depth.

I feel like a snack when I wear this and reach for it for many different occasions or even just for my own enjoyment to wear at home. Truly addictive and sexy. Full bottle worthy and 9/10 ❤😍

AlexandraTroush

I can almost feel a cinnamon vibe in here, and it's delicious in colder weather. We're entering autumn right now and I've been loving it on those windy days. It's simpler in comparison to the EDP, but beautiful nonetheless. It fits those occasions where the EDP would just be too much. I don't regret owning both.

glitterizer

This is a delightful gourmand. The biggest accord to me is the trio of hazelnut cream, tea-like vetiver and dark chocolate, in that order of intensity, with a sheer fruity veil enveloping it all.

It is *extremely* similar to the EdP, just less dirty and less nuclear. I was very surprised that patchouli isn't listed as a note here, cause I definitely get a good amount of it from this perfume. Not as much as the original Angel and Angel Muse, and not as subtle as the 2019 Angel EdT, but it's there. Overall this is more luminous and has some colorful facets compared to the EdP, which is varying shades of brown only. This is also cooler and more versatile, with gentler sillage, but the longevity is very good. A shame this was discontinued, as I like it way more than the EdP.

Side note: despite not being labelled as refillable, the bottle has an atomizer that can be unscrewed, so you can still keep using the bottle for other scents once it runs out.

emmascents

This really is a polarising scent, much less than the original angel though. I thought I would like this - disappointingly though, I hated this. It made me feel nauseous! On paper it seemed right up my ally, but something about this on my skin just does not mesh at all. Another Angel flanker I’ll have to say no to unfortunately.

Palmer Eldritch

A stunning fragrance with an intoxicating scent trail. A few years ago I wasn't keen on the 'Angel Muse' line. I didn't appreciate their distinctive beauty. Then I noticed the range was suddenly discontinued in my region, so I couldn't help but blind buy the EDT. Oh I'm so glad I did.

Let me start by saying if you dislike: original 'Angel's patchouli, modern unisex scents, city-oriented fragrances or vetiver... You will hate this scent. Because 'Angel Muse' EDT is all of that and more.

The opening on my skin a delicious, lightweight passion fruit-citrus. It's not punchy or screechy, like for example the citruses you'd find in BS 'Fantasy', but a bit spicy (hidden pink pepper note?!). Then it quickly settles into the EDP's cocoa spread but whipped, airy and blended with the sour-fruity facets.
No patchouli note listed...but I can smell the signature Angel earthy patchouli in this without the overbearing heaviness. However there is something complex about this dry-down: the citrus and gourmand notes combine exceptionally well with the calming, tea-like vetiver. That's how it settles on me :)

I agree with faithy22: this is definitely NOT a gourmand scent. 'Angel Muse EDT' is far too sophisticated to be classified as such. It's not 'come eat me now' fragrance like JPG's 'Scandal'...
Rather 'Angel Muse EDT' is rock chic: subtly alluring, cool, classy & untouchable. Absolutely love it.

ScentFan2021

My sample of this is lasting a lot longer than the EDP. Both smell similar to me. So, I would recommend this one over the EDP.

faithy22

I was sooo excited to get this in the mail today and….

I really don’t like it 😩 ahhh it’s so annoying to me because I really wanted to like it and i’m trying. I’ve sprayed it all over me and let it sit for an hour at least. The initial spray just hits me in the face with the passionfruit and a woody note which just ruins it for me. I’m a gourmand lover and I’m trying my hardest to smell the nutella and caramel but I just can’t find it under the synthetic passionfruit smell and the woodiness it also has a wet dirt smell :( Sadly, I don’t get the gourmand, sweet smell everyone’s talking about & I’m not sure whether to keep trying with it or sell it. So sad 😓

Edit: I can’t do it. It is the worst perfume i’ve ever smelt IMO. Please if someone wants to buy it from me i’m selling it on Ebay titled “WILL BE DISCONTINUED Thierry Mugler Angela Edt”

supergirl9412

Oh, goodness .. One of the most delicious fragrances I’ve ever tried. Passionfruit, chocolate hazelnut, pink lemonade, vetiver, woods, and cocoa … in that order. I could’ve sworn I got a little patchouli here (It is an “Angel,” after all!), but I guess my mind is playing tricks on me.

One spray is very light, with longevity and projection being so-so. But I’m sure a few more spritzes would take care of that. In my opinion, though, that’s actually a good thing. So few Mugler scents are buildable because most are absolutely nuclear with a spray or two. It’s nice to have some options with strength!

One for the gourmand lovers.

cassiesta

This is definitely addicting. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but wearing it all day, I really enjoy the chocateyness/nutella combined with the fruits. It's so delicious. The hazenut cocoa spread or nutella note is divine and most prominent to me. I think it might be more appropriate for summer nights and could see this also being great in the fall and maybe winter. I find it more interesting than other fragrances with chocolate like Prada Candy Night, Vera Wang Princess, or Clinique Cocoa & Cashmere. This is a very nice scent to fall asleep wearing. And it last for days, days!

cypriotsister

I'm addicted to this, I even go & sniff the nozzle when I wanna feel happy. If you miss wearing the EDP and it's summertime, this is your best friend! It's an unusual fruity gourmand, gorgeous passionfruit and I defiantly get that Nutella spread in the dry down. Also, performance is AMAZING for an EDT!! I wore it before the shower and could still smell it on my skin after the shower.
Sad news, I heard it's getting discontinued, so stock up if you can!

anni_cola

They say you're either an Angel girl or an Alien girl. I wrote myself off as an Angel girl due to owning Alien and multiple of its flankers. The way people talked about Angel was always overwhelming and as someone who with a mostly hate relationship with patchouli, I decided to stay far away from them. However, that isn't to say that I never felt like I was missing out. I scoured the dozens of Angel flankers looking up notes and reviews, until I came across Angel Muse EDT.

Perhaps it was the cacao note phase that I'm going through but I knew I had to give Angel Muse EDT a go. Hazelnut goodness without the dirtiness of patchouli like in the originals sounded like a dream, and honestly I was surprised in every way.

Upon first spray the passionfruit demands attention. It's not cloying, just uniquely tart and tropical. Towards the middle I had started to give up my chocolates dreams as the strength in performance dissipated and turned a bit green on me. As the drydown hits, the story changes once again. I wouldn't call this extremely sweet like chocolate and hazelnut spread as I find that its drier, like if you were to put raw hazelnut and cacao in a food processor. It's a truly enjoyable experience that makes me feel comfortable & flirty but in a mature cuddle time way. I can and have gone to bed in this.

The projection and sillage are the weakest on any Mugler frangrances I own, however I wouldn't necessarily say that's a bad thing. It's just not as bold as the others. Although Angel Muse EDT truly makes me consider looking into the EDP formulation just to have one of those knockout Mugler moments and be engulfed in chocolate, however I suspect the patchouli punch wouldn't be worth it.

All in all, surprisingly this may be my favorite Mugler fragrance I own. Mugler perfumes always make me feel like a fully fledged woman, however the delicate and comforting sweetness of Angel Muse EDT retains a slight playfulness. If Alien makes me feel like I'm a grown woman with all aspects of her life together Angel Muse reminds me that I'm just at the beginning of adulthood with nothing figured out and that's okay.

olganbo

More sweet and feminine than the original Angel but still there is something about Mugler perfume who give me headache at first but this one when it dries down OMG it's so addictive ! It's not the barbie bubblegum sweet , it's more mature and a little bit bold ! I really love it which is cray because I hate the original Angel .

Rebekah320

First off I HATE patchouli…. This EDT has Akigalwood in it… a reminiscent of oud, patchouli and slight peppery…. Please click on the note for description. As I said I won’t buy the EDP because it is loaded with actual patchouli. I’m ok with a pretty much unnoticed amount. I just want to point that out after seeing so many reviews state how they love the patchouli in this.

Now for the review. I didn’t love it first time I wore it, until the dry down. It smells amazing to me in the dry down and lasts about 4-5 hours on me. That’s pretty good for an EDT in my opinion. It’s a sweet warm cozy fragrance that wraps you up like a warm blanket. Not near a heavy as the EDP. The EDP gave me a horrible headache and it wasn’t because of the patchouli, that’s where the stomach ache came in. Lol….. this one is just a beautiful EDT that acts like an EDP with a much more friendly wear for any time of day in the colder months.

Khaledalmarshoud

Best scent EVER !!! IT became my signature scent... definitely need a backup !!!

forêt

I don’t like this at all! I have emptied a 50 ml and 1/3 of my newer 100ml of the EDP but this is very different to me! I can’t get enough of the EDP’s opening and so this passionfruit opening is different and killed the part I love. Also the drydown irritated me not sure why. I must resell it.

hsiangchi.huang

The combination of the notes above just magically turns into an oriental (sweet oud) fragrance. Not as sweet as I imagined. It smells exotic and high-end, and is one of those scents to get people wondering "what is she wearing".

Murmur123123

I already have Angel Muse EDP which I quite like, but I will only wear it in autumn winter. I tried Angel Muse EDT in store to see if it is light enough for spring/summer, but I do not think so.

The opening of the EDT is strong passionfruit, a bit tart and quite refreshing, but in 10 or 15 seconds I can pick up the same cocoa note found in the EDP. The EDT has no patchouli (which the EDP is strong patchouli), but the dry down of the EDT is still quite woody and somewhat heavy (in a nice way).

In conclusion: if you already have the EDP, no point in getting the EDT in my opinion. If you like the cocoa and woody notes in the EDP but prefer a slightly lighter and much fruitier opening, get the EDT. To me the EDP is definitely for winter and cold autumn; the EDT can be worn year round except summer and warm spring.

HappyScentTrails

Unique well blended intoxicating lovely and delicious

alexandradaos

I am not sure what people are on about and I think Mugler did a very good job at inocculating the idea that this perfume smells like chocolate, or caramel, or Nutella, or whatever, creating an imaginary universe in which the users can step in and fantasize about all their favourite caloric treats in this universe.

Back to this dimension, this perfume is a combo of patchouli and woods, maybe some currants, with a very faint and synthetic passion fruit hint and some citrus in the opening. The patchouli is very strong, the woody notes are enveloping, and all in all this smells like the year 2000, you know, low waist jeans, plastic jewellery, hairspray, colorful wedge flip flops, Britney Spears...

There is nothing gourmand about it, certainly doesn't smell like anything you would want to taste, nothing philosophical that makes you take a sniff and contemplate the meaning of life, and to be honest, it smells cheap. Sorry, I said it. It's likeable in the same way a girl that giggles at every word you say during a date is, and as pleasant as a tribal lower back tattoo you wake up with after a night of drinking.

Meh.

CatieK

I think I'm in love! Pretty much a blind buy based on the reviews here. I had tested Angel Muse and liked it but not enough to purchase.
I was looking for something similar to Prada Candy Night but longer lasting and this definitely is close, especially in the dry down. I find myself reaching for it every day. My skin soaks up other fragrances but with this I smell so good, even hours later. I've always been a little scared of Mugler fragrances and this is definitely different but it is fast becoming a favourite.

LALDN

Am I the only one getting straight up balsam/pine tree notes? I smell no chocolate/hazelnut. And definitely no passion fruit or anything sweet really. Just smells like I stuck my head into a Christmas tree.

ladolcemae

If this was a song, it'd be Chopin's no.1 in G minor - just when you think it's not making any sense, suddenly it is. Springy and warm and suddenly agressive, and melancholic, but kinda hot, but kinda too strong just when you start asking yourself how this shit managed to fool everyone else, the genius reveals itself, a part of you doesn't want to be caught in but then again it's oh so fascinating, bewitching, and hop it's been a hour loop of this song when you were planning on changing it what seems like barely 2 minutes ago. I understand how people dislike it but oh ! I, somehow, really really do. Not crowd pleasing, as you deffo have to UNDERSTAND it but once you do mannn keep that wrist away from your nose this is getting embarazzinggg

Anemonatrix

I just love it! My favourite perfume ever!

natalia6032

This was a blind buy and I really tried to like it, but the mixture of very sweet fruity notes with the vetiver, which smells masculine to me, confuses my nose. The passion fruit smells like the real thing- I recognise this is a quality fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous too, I have the cosmic pebble and it's lovely to hold. Unfortunately it's not for me. As well as confusing I find it too loud, there's no subtlety here- the notes are very clearly discernible, not blended into a harmonious whole.

kasiolinka

Beautiful passionfruit wrapped in chocolate, I love this scent in autumn

Okay... I’m a bit of a mugler virgin and noob lol. Haven’t owned any of the fragrances from the house, I just know a few years a go my old best friends signature was angel... and I’d always tell her she STUNK LOL. She didn’t GAF and would still drown herself in it, but yeah, I really hated it. Alien is better, but still something not worth having in my collection as I wouldn’t really use it.
On that note, I ordered this beauty today as I found a 50ml on a good offer, from the comments it seems it’s the most likeable out of all muglers lol, so why not! I’m excited to see how I feel about it!!

WOAH. THIS IS SO GOOD. WHAAAAT. The fruity aspect is prominent in this but it smells so refined, expensive and just GOOD. This just makes me curious about the EDP angel muse, this is definitely the most likeable mugler I have smelled, it’s sweet, slightly tart and dirty in opening, luckily the vetiver and sourness quickly settle onto the sweet base. I find it smells great on skin but even better on clothes and paper?! Yum I hope this lasts well

Just a note! The opening is absolutely disgusting to me the vetiver is so.. unpleasant. So much so, that I sold this. Shame

melimelo87

So this is a fruity cocktail with hints of woody touches on my skin. It is a bit too sweet for me at the initial spray, not a fan to be honest, the fact that I get whiffs of vetiver, is a save for me. However the drydown is really good as the sweetness settles and the passionfruit note fades. I do not get the caramel or the chocolate notes. Overall, it is an okay scent, fruity-gourmand lovers will enjoy this zesty bomb, but I will not be repurchasing it.

tooba

In comparison to EDP this EDT smells a lot better but the opening smells like a vintage floral bomb. it kinda gave vibe of a old lady perfume but settles into sweet and tangy maybe cause of passion fruit. In dry down i could detect creaminess and warmth but sadly only on clothes. On my skin it turns sour and i can't smell it after few mins but family complains about how loud and weirdly sweet it is maybe cause of vetiver. I love to sniff it as i find the vetiver note makes this scent unique but sadly i can't enjoy it on skin. If anyone want to swap it i am happy to give it away.

Warmthandlight

I love the EDP, but the patchouli does add a bit too much to it sometimes. Still, though, I didn't think Muse could be improved on at all, that's how much I liked it. Yet somehow, I love the EDT even more! I expected taking away the patchouli and adding in passionfruit to make it too sweet, but it is literally perfect. I agree with the comment below that this is the most wearable fragrance - any time of day, any season, it's just perfect. Immediately became one of my favorites in my collection.

PiperOK31

This is probably the most wearable fragrance that Mugler has ever created. I can see myself wearing this in most seasons besides really hot weather. On my skin I definitely get the hazelnut cocoa spread and chocolate in the dry down. The passionfruit is most prominent in the opening and then fades away. I don't get any resemblance to the original Angel fragrance at all. This is really nice without the patchouli note. This is the only Mugler fragrance I have been able to wear and that I actually really like.

AlexandraTroush

I've wanted to get this because recently the EDP has been feeling like TOO too much, if you know what I mean. I love over the top fragrances, but the EDP has become irritating to my nostrils in the opening, making me sneeze and blow my nose every time. Since I love it and can't live without it, I decided to blindly buy the EDT and see how things go.

My first reaction to the opening was "Ooh!! I know this one!" and it took me back to being 15 and wearing Kylie Minogue's first perfume. I looked at the notes and apparently they both share passionfruit in the opening. Right off the bat, I still prefer the EDP. The EDT is softer and creamier (if you can call a Mugler creation that :)), but the edge and sharpness of the EDP is precisely what I love the most about it. Ugh, but that mean and angry EDP opening..

I'm still testing this one out for the first time, it still needs some time to evolve and deepen (in the bottle too), but as a first reaction these are my thoughts: the EDP is a love, the EDT is a like. The EDT takes me back to awkward teenage memories that I'm not sure I want to remember.

I will update if things change.

Gannibalka

I really like this one. The EDP version was way too strong and didn't fit my style. EDT is fruity smelling. I don't smell any chocolate in this. Mostly the passion fruit comes out. This also lasts forever!

n_a_phillips

A slightly lighter, brighter, and juicier take on Angel Muse. The passion fruit and citrus notes really stand out and set this apart from the EDP version—a deeper and drier fragrance that I prefer by a very slight margin—but they're not vastly different, either.

perfumequeen5

Finally, a digestible version of Angel! I'm an Alien gal and I hate Angel with a passion so I'm glad I can enjoy it with Muse EDT.

If Nutella released a limited edition passionfruit infused spread, this is what you'd get. Tropical and sweet although there is a sourness present similar to that of the original Angel. The vetiver and akigala reveal themselves a little after the initial first sprays to create an earthy/woodsy depth. The longer you wear it, the creamier and smoother it becomes with a subtle vanilla note (although not listed).

Another gem to add to their crown of already iconic scents.

Rating: 3.8 out of 5

Oh how I love this perfume! It is sooo good. I was at a local Shoppers Drug Mart store recently and on a whim I decided to try a scent strip of this. I purchased it right then and there! Addictive explosion is a great description!

thazinha30

Ohhh boy, how much do I love this? A lot!! For reference I tolerate Angel but don’t really like it too much coz I highly dislike patchouli so nah, Angel isn’t for me although some of its flankers definitely are!
Back to Muse... this is an amazing, creamy, sweet but not cloying, intoxicating fragrance! At first spritz my kids smelled Christmas tree and I kinda could smell that too but only for a bit. I do smell the passion fruit but not too prevalent, it’s more like a passion fruit juice made with condensed milk to me!! I love the dry down as much as the opening... it leans a bit masculine but I love it... I smell chocolate and Vetiver and mind you, I sprayed this on at 9 am... it’s now 9 pm and it’s not projecting like crazy but I smell it on my skin (neck, arms and chest) as I move, walk, touch my hair, and it is such a nice, comforting, delicious, creamy, smell! I never tried the EDP but given that I highly dislike patchouli, I’m afraid I might not like that one. I wonder how different smelling they are...
I am testing a big sample of this right now, among others, and this is looking like I might need more of (like a full bottle!)

jill.1

Purchased alien muse edp and it was love at first whiff. I am not a huge angel fan. I guess I don’t even remember the original. But Alien Muse is interesting and slightly masculine with the added Vetiver note. I love it. I bought the EDT because I wanted a little passionfruit to add in. I might layer the two. Different but not weird. And super long lasting. Even the EDT packs a punch. 9/10 for me

KBreckenridge

This is an aromatic scent laying on a woodsy bed of vetiver and patchouli.

Top = Angel Innocent from 2004. Lemony and aromatic.
Bottom = original Angel Muse but a bit lighter. Powder, sugar, patchouli, vetiver.

I dislike the original Muse but this one is good because of the aromatic aspect of it.

bdragonfly12345

Oh. My. Goodness. I genuinely cannot believe how amazing this is!!

Out shopping earlier this afternoon, a SA sprayed this onto a card for me, and I happily also managed to procure a sample vial. The rest of the time I was out, I couldn't stop sniffing the card, and ended up tucking it into the elastic of my mask.

I got home and STILL couldn't stop thinking of it! So I showered (she'd sprayed my arms with something else), and rushed to use my sample..........I am glad I am by myself right now, because I keep sniffing my arm like a lunatic! ;)

I could never wear the OG "Angel", and I tried "Muse EDP", and it didn't work for me either. This one though?! **kisses fingers** Sheer and utter perfection. Immediate move to the top of the wish list!!

TexasOrangeBlossom

First of all, I am not a patchouli fan. If somebody is wearing patchouli essential oil, I will get as far away from them as possible. It is absolutely repulsive to me. Given that fact, I assumed I would hate Angel Muse. I do not! I absolutely love it and find myself craving it. However, it’s a bit too heavy to wear year round so I took a chance on a blind buy of the EDT. It was love at first sniff! I have to force myself to wear other perfumes in my collection because this one keeps calling me. I probably sniff it every day when I am choosing my SOTD. It’s has both freshness and depth. It’s a compliment getter! Great sillage and great longevity! I don’t have anything negative to say. I just wish I had a shampoo and body wash that smelled like this.

Samanthajc1

Beautiful. I have angel muse edp and edt and the only real difference is the edt is a little fruitier and I the Vetiver is pronounced but I love them both so much that I wanted to own both. The edt is a little lighter but it lasts a really long time for a edt. I have so many mugler fragrances because they’re amazing but muse is by far the best in my opinion. The bottle for edt is gorgeous!

hollymichaelm

I live in Australia and had to get this shipped from America. Definitely a risk because I don't like Angel or Angel Muse EDP - but the note composition and reviews encouraged me to take the plunge.

What a gorgeous, fun, original, sexy fragrance! Absolutely love it. Surprising and confident whilst being very likeable. I love how the sourness of the fruits cut through the chocolatey and vetiver notes. Dry down is gorgeousness. This has a lot of energy - I would wear this fragrance when I'm in a great mood or when I need some help to get in a great mood. LOVE this.

renecastillo01

I am not a huge fan of Angel or Muse EDP, but this is nothing short of amazing! Very seductive! Just jaw dropping amazing! I am dumbfounded as to why this is an online exclusive on Mugler’s website??? To me this would easily out sell the EDP! All of the notes marry magnificently, smooth! From top to bottom, outstanding!

Perfairy999

I really like the edp version so I was looking forward to blind buy this one for the summer. I really wanted to love this but the opening is almost too harsh for me. It gets veeeery sour on my skin and its very sharp! I think passion fruit and hazelnut spread is not a good combination (at least on my skin) I will still give this a test though because I like the dry down. Overall it is a great perfume.

estherkiim

I sprayed this on my arm just today, and the top notes are perfect. I loved it so much! That passionfruit mixed with chocolate? So alluring, so unique and just yummy!
I couldn't figure out why anyone wouldn't like it!

Something about it reminded me of a daytime version of D&G The Only One so I got home and sprayed that on the other arm.
After a few minutes, the passionfruit died down considerably and left a strange but familiar scent...
It smells exactly like some females' armpit sweat.

If you take a deeper whiff, you can get those notes again of the passionfruit, chocolate and patchouli, but I don't want anyone to smell me and think I smell sweaty, so unless I find something with just the passionfruit and chocolate without patchouli, perhaps this is not the right one for me.

Edit:
I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID. This is a super relaxing, cozy, and yet fruity summer gourmand. I seriously love it and bought a bottle a few hours after I made my initial review, after going back to smell my arm for that entire time. Wow.

Edit 2 (Dec 12, 2020): Okay so I've had this frag for a while now and I must say, it's not that relaxing. It's more of a power fragrance. I feel like a 'I WILL BE HEARD' type boss woman with this on. It's loud, and bright and punchy but also youthful and fun.
This brings out the extroverted side of me more than any other fragrance I own!

MnM

I'm not going to say anything else that hasn't already been said. I love the fragrance, gorgeous when first sprayed, alas, it's very fleeting 3hrs? and it's gone. One of those fragrances where you have to carry the bottle with you to spray again. :(

I own both EDT and EDP, love both, slight difference between the two, but the EDP stays with you longer.

lechickpea

I've surprised myself by preferring Angel Muse EDT over the EDP. Based on the note breakdown I wouldn't have expected that. To me, this is like the more feminine version of the unisex EDP. More mass appealing too- this would make a safe gift for a woman, the EDP much less so. They share a lot of similar DNA, you smell both and immediately recognize that they are sisters.

The chocolate/hazelnut cream note is pulled back, but so is the peppery patchouli and earthiness from the vetiver. Front and center I smell very sweet (yet tart) passionfruit and grapefruit. If you're a fruity fragrance lover, this would make a fantastic signature scent because it's very pretty while also being unique and memorable.

Zosiasbear

I have the EDP and EDT and given that I also own Angel I have to say I prefer the EDT since it's very different than Angel. I already own like 3 Angels (I stocked up with the L'Oreal purchase of Mugler).

This has a sparkly note to it that makes is great for spring and summer. There's a nice fruity note to it that drives the scent. The more I sniff, the more I love it. This is a masterpiece, really. I love Angel but this is perfection.

sarahcapo

i just love this so much. as someone who only owns the EDT and not the EDP, i always had such FOMO about not knowing what the original smells like. all the hype about nutella and me being someone who grew up with nutella running through her veins i needed to own angel muse!! i chose the EDT because i heard it was more wearable, but later learned that the EDP has more of a "hazelnutty" cream vibe.

CurlyTabby's review below really reassured me that I made the right choice. if it is true that they are 80% similar and that the EDP is more earthy where the EDT is more sparkling, then I'm happy with the latter. It starts out uplifting and energizing, then turns comforting and nostalgic all in one sniff. like tangerine mixed with milk chocolate, a tart/sweet citrus opening (vetiver included) immediately followed by a cocoa/creamy landing before you exhale.

one thing i will say is that as a diehard nutella lover, i expected more distinct hazelnut. i'm still searching for it because finding it would mean perfection, a bonafide new signature.

ashleyc23

Am I the only one that thinks this smells like balsam? I get major Christmas tree vibes. It smells like when my family would first put up our tree and the whole house would smell. That balsam/fir note fades away slightly and then I get sweet and fruity. It’s warm and cozy. This is a fall and winter staple for me.

iszzieanna

I have both the EDP and EDT.

At first when I saw the EDT and heard it was exactly like the EDP, I was thinking, why the hell should I buy this one now? But I get it now. The EDT is everything I wanted the EDP to be and more!

Right off the bat it’s that chocolate-passion fruit- warm scent. The EDP is just a handful of earthy patchouli and vetiver. It takes over an hour on my skin to get those toasty marshmallow vibes. This just gives me what I wanted right away! Amazing lasting power!!

UPDATE for anyone thinking about purchasing this: DO IT! And if you already have the EDP, you really can’t go wrong with having both. They are a power duo. Outstanding projection and longevity for both! They compliment each other. I almost don’t know which one I love more.

92juanjavier

I have the eau de parfum version, which is super intense, and I needed to try this Eau de toilette version.
Yes, it is very very similar, but it is a rather soft aroma.
Passionfruit and cocoa cream is the most perceived, I also notice a lot of dark chocolate, tangerine and patchouli.

I like it, but it leaves me hungry. Eau de parfum offers you TOO MUCH and eau de toilette offers you a little bit of its scent.
It is a delicious and very gourmand perfume, yes, very Mugler, yes, but it lacks some power.
Anyway I love it and I'll buy a bottle in the future.
Perfect for sping and autumn.
Tested it!

CurlyTabby

I just HAD to write a review about this one. I wrote a review about the EDP in which I stated that this was one of those fragrances you have to appreciate on skin. It has to settle and you have to really take the time to understand it. I love that fragrance so much that I own the biggest bottle I could find.

Fast forward to today. The EDT just came in the mail. It was a blind buy based on my love for the EDP. First of all, this smells 80% identical to the EDP, in my opinion. But the best part about this fragrance is one small but very important thing.

If you’ve smelled the EDP then you know that part of what makes Angel MUSE is that dirty earthy patchouli note. It’s sexy, it’s earthy and makes the fragrance almost animal like. But in a good way. The EDT gives me none of that dirtiness. In fact I get juicy hazelnut rather than dirty hazelnut.

If Angel Muse EDP is a tomboy who likes to play in the dirt, Angel Muse EDT is the girly twin sister who likes sipping fruity drinks in the summer. This is lighter, fruitier, and exactly what an EDT should be. The same but lighter. Lighter in longevity and lighter in scent but the projection of the original is still there. You WILL get noticed.

I almost wanna say I love this more. But you can’t choose one twin over another, let’s be honest. Love them both.

JSpines

I went away this weekend and on the drive to my final destination, I stopped part way to get out of the car and stretch my legs. Of course, I stretched them in a department store! Haha I browsed for a good half hour and walked out with some gourmet food, a few shirts, hand cream and a bottle of perfume.

I had previously heard some of my favourite reviewers on YouTube talking about Mugler Angel Muse Eau De Parfum and even though it piqued my interest, it sounded like it may be a little too heavy and sharing a too similar DNA with the original Angel (which I don't care for) so it fell off of my radar and I forgot about it. As I was searching through the fragrance department in the said store, I spied "Angel Muse" and grabbed the box, knowing that it wasn't the parfum version, as the picture on the box showed a pink fluid, not the light amber colour. Sure enough, it was the Eau De Toilette version. I knew that being the Eau De Toilette version, it was likely to be lighter and fresher while at the same time, still sharing the same vibe as the it's predessessor. I had a feeling that I would love it and gave in to a blind buy. I paid $49.99 for a 50 ml. bottle and got an additional 10 percent off. Very good deal considering that Sephora Canada sells the exact same bottle for $90.00! I figured that it was worth the risk.

I love it when I'm right! Haha Upon first spritz, it's all about the passionfruit. It's zingy, natural, fresh and lovely. That initial fruity blast doesn't last. It fades out rather quickly and what you end up with is a smooth, warm, creamy, nutty, chocolatey smell which isn't overpowering or too heavy. Strong enough so you can smell it freely but you won't choke anyone out with it. I absolutely adore it. You can smell the vetiver after awhile and it grounds the entire composition nicely, also providing a unisex vibe which I personally really enjoy. Thierry Mugler creations are so well done. They are high quality, have wonderful lasting power and the bottles are gorgeous.

This was one of the best blind buys I have ever purchased. A slightly fruity, lightly woody, creamy gourmand that is suitable for the cooler OR warmer seasons.

Everything that I hoped it would be. Lots of LOVE for this one!

DebiL1211

I really like this perfume but while I say that it really is reminiscent of Prada Candy Night on my skin. I am talking almost identical for my chemistry. I know I won't be buying a full bottle but I have thoroughly enjoyed my decant. Very pretty fragrance.

Longevity with 4 sprays was 5 hours and sillage was close to the skin after the first hour.

Update 5/23/2021:

So I said I wouldn't buy a FB of this and I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Well I found it for a steal and decided to buy it. While I still think the two are similar I find this to be tolerable on a hot day where Prada candy night is too cloying in the heat. Both are beautiful and I don't favor one over the other.

Sailor Pluto

I just scored this frag on extra clearance at Marshalls for CAD$36!!!! I am so happy! What a gorgeous scent! Beautifully blended, sweet and almost minty and approaching a root beer type effect, all while being fruity and a touch sour. Love it!

celestial

This is one of my favorite perfumes, it's very sweet and fresh at the same time, you can smell the hazelnut, passion fruit and vetiver. It can be worn both casually and for going out but is probably not ideal in a business meeting, for example. I have both Angel Muse edt and edp and they can be layered nicely, and both bloom more in warmer weather.

FrkFors

Got a sample of this and I have been LOVING this perfume! Mugler's perfumes I just wibe with on a spiritual level!

I can't stop sniffing my wrists. I was a bit cautious of the vetiver note, but it's not at all as sharp as I was expecting. The fruits I can't exactly pinpoint as passionfruit, but the sweetness in this is just right. I would not say this is a fruity perfume.
The citrus is there, well blended and helps balancing everything. The chocolate/hazelnut and woods are just beautiful together. I thought there was patchouli and maybe something more in this as well...

It smells like an expensive perfume to me, like classy? Even tho it's very much suitable for daily wear!
My 50 year old mother loved it as much as me, saying she HAD to get it! And she's fuzzy about perfumes.

Rose du soir

Angel Muse is one of the very few Muglers that doesn't get along with my skin at all. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Just too sweet. I like it on others, but it's too much on me. I also experienced the same with the eau de toilette at first. And then, on a freezing cold day, and in the middle of a sugar craving, I thought "hey, maybe this could work today". So I sprayed the tiniest spray on my hand. And now at last, I get why so many people love Muse.
The EdT is as many reviewers describe it, like a mix between Muse and the beautiful Eau Sucrée. And I'll also add the new Angel eau de toilette 2019 to the comparisons. Like Muse EdP, it's intensely woody, coffee-like and boozy. More like Baileys coffee than Nutella on my skin, actually. But not so sharply sweet and not cloying, and the addition of vanilla and passion fruit make the scent much more feminine (while the EdP is unisex) and irresistibly creamy. The creaminess evolves slowly in the drydown towards spicy milk chocolate and goes slightly powdery. It would certainly go too sweet if it weren't so cold outside, but it fits the weather beautifully. I guess I deserve a bottle of this as a Christmas treat.

amywamywoo

Another blind buy, how could I not. I own the EDP and really enjoy it.
The opening spray was bitter and a little sweet, smells like grapefruit to me. Had a look at the notes and it's not listed, must be the lemon and passion fruit combo but that's what I'm getting. Bittersweet fruit and dusty cocoa, the vetiver is very much still there. Its delicious.

The original is quite dense and dry, while the EDT is a smidge lighter but not overly so. It's no fruit punch, it still makes a statement and can still choke you if oversprayed. The EDT is definitely easier to wear though. I'm glad I have both.

Viviana21

I got a small sample of this from a fragrance collector in an exchange, so I do not own the actual bottle (yet). Although in the reviews here I see many people referring to it as a summer fragrance, I tend to disagree.
It is a powerful, strong, sugar bomb that will choke you and everybody around you in warm weather. When I first tried this out, I found it quite masculine and cologne-like on my skin. A few days after, I decided to give it another chance on a windy autumn working day. 3 sprays only. My desk is located in a quite large room together with other 4 people, but I could tell how pleasantly surprised was everybody entering our room by the smile and the comments about this sweet scent lingering around. The feeling was similar to the one you get when you go visit somebody's house on a Christmas day.

Edit May 2020:

I got a full bottle and it is AMAZING! One of the best gourmands in my collection and very long lasting! If you are thinking whether to buy the EDP or the EDT, I have tested them and after 1 - 2 hours, the drydown is the same.

terezzz

Amazing!! The opening smells nearly identical to Angel Muse EDP but the middle and dry down are very different, different enough to own both. I smell juicy mandarin + passion fruit and milk chocolate. Imagine eating bits of juicy fruit dipped in milk chocolate for dessert. I'm in love!

Longevity is around 6-8 hours and it sits close to the skin. Mugler fragrances are know to be very strong and they instantly fill a room but I like that this is a softer scent. It's just so intimate and flirty and will intoxicate anyone who comes close to you. Definitely worth checking out<3

Update: After wearing this fragrance for the past week I've realised that the longevity and sillage are stronger than I initially thought. This lasts for about 8-12 hours on the skin and sillage is moderate! This is has excellent performance for an EDT. Wow!

Balletflowers

This smells exactly like Angel Edp but not as potent or overpowering. It’s definitely a lighter version. Siliage is not great, feels more like a close to the skin scent, longevity is good, about 6 hours.

SailorV

Angel Muse EDT is quite close to the EDP. It‘s still very creamy and nutty, with a hint of vetiver the typical sweet and patchouli-focussed Angel DNA. Yes, the listed note is called Akigalawood, but I smell no difference to the patch in all the other Angel flankers.
The difference is that this EDT is even more fruity, the passion fruit is really tart, fresh and juicy. I‘m glad they didn‘t use red berries in this like Mugler often does in Angel summer editions, passion fruit and mandarine are much nicer in my opinion. This EDT is also less chocolatey and rich than the EDP. I think Angel Muse is easier to wear and less polarizing than Angel, and the EDT is even easier and maybe the most versatile of all Angel editions I have ever smelled. It has enough body to be worn in winter, and it‘s still very long lasting, but it‘s light and fruity enough for warmer days, though maybe not for extremely oppressive heat.
I own the EDP and I don‘t think that you really need both, and I‘m happy with my choice, but honestly I would have been just as happy with this one. One is fruitier, one is more spicy and gourmand, both are lovely.

If you have never smelled any Angel fragrance before, imagine this to be an intense sweet hazelnut cream blended with earthy patchouli and vetiver with lots of super-juicy fruit on top.

GilmoreJava

@Musky4 OMG, thank you. I was trying to figure out for the longest time what Angel Muse EDT reminded me of, couldn't put my nose on it, lol. But now that you mention it, yeah, it smells exactly like Angel Eau Sucree EDT and Angel Muse EDP had a baby, and this divine concoction is the result... so heavenly!

Musky4

Finally got round to buying myself a bottle of this and wish I’d done so a lot sooner! It smells like a combination of Angel Muse EdP and Angel Eau Sucrée - perfectly blended and totally irresistible!

Avian

Angel Muse EDT is love at first sniff! I might even like it more than the EDP, because the added notes bring so much complexity to the scent and the juxtaposition is perfect.

From the initial spray, there is a burst of delectably juicy mandarin and passionfruit. They smell fresh, slightly sour, and completely edible. They settle into a recognizable Angel Muse-ish backdrop, with its signature creamy nutella accord and the Angel-lineage patchoulish-chocolate, though here it is far gentler and not at all musky. I sense a candy-sweet, perfectly sugary caramel drizzled throughout the scent as well. My favorite note of the Muses, vetiver, pops out just after you spray and maintains its strength through the drydown. It is not a vegetal and crisp vetiver, but instead smells dry and lends Muse EDT a smokey character. The end result dries down to mostly sweet and tangy passionfruit on a bed of incense-y vetiver and patchy-chocolate.

Muse EDT is at once more over-the-top than Muse EDP and softer than Muse EDP. It opens with a stronger burst of topnotes that really fly off your skin, while EDP is more basenote heavy and does not morph much. EDT is less potent and longlasting overall, as the EDP lasts just as well as the original Angel EDP. The EDT is by no means weak- in fact, two sprays was enough to leave me tasting perfume- but those familiar with Mugler's EDP concentration know just how strong they are. As far as the Angel series goes, EDT can best be described as an ideal combination of, and improvement upon, two flankers: Angel Muse (duh) and Angel Eau Sucree, which is similarly juicy and tart. Muse EDT is perfect for hot weather, but with it's pronounced basenotes of nutella, vetiver, and chocolate, I expect it to work well in cooler weather too, just as Muse EDP does. The Muses are certainly gourmand, but I think they are suitable for just about anyone, given their earthy and incense-like tones that keep the foodie notes from being overbearing.

I must also rave about the bottle. It looks almost like a spaceship, and I love the contrast between the bright chrome and almost neon pink fluid. Of course, the Muse style bottle, with the Angel-Star impression at the back, showing through in relief from the front, is also a lovely touch.

piahellgren

What a delicious fragrance! I am not a fan of any other Angel I have tried (original Muse is ok; it may grow on me), but this one is absolutely delicious! YET, not a cliché gourmand at all (it's Mugler after all!). The passionfruit is so juicy and fresh and almost makes me salivate. When that settles a bit I smell something like roasted nuts rather than Nutella (which I don't care for)- I wonder if its the vetiver giving it the "toasty" feel? I have never heard of akigalawood, but the woodiness here seems kind of dense and robust without being overwhelmingly woody. If that makes sense. I can see that there is no patchouli here, but I sense it and cannot say if it's me imagining (associating this one with other Angels) or if it is that wood giving off that. rRgardless, this is a winner! I also think it is suitable for all seasons, actually.

lady_ireth264

Buying Angel Muse EDT was a unplanned for me, the result of roaming around Dubai airport duty free.

I bought this because it's sweet and gourmandish yet fresh. The opening of passion fruit and citruses managed to hold together the entire composition to be enjoyable instead of cloying. After the fresh initial blast, I can smell warm gourmand that reminds me of the patchouli mix in Rebelle by Rihanna. It has a slight resemblance with that one (maybe chocolate note), similar warmth for me.

The hazelnut and vetiver mix is just delicious in Angel Muse EDT. This is my work perfume for a couple of months' rotation here in Ghana's heat. So don't be afraid to wear it as you want. Moderate silage and longevity for me.

LaLuNaveed

Angel Muse is one of my favorite and one of the most complimented perfumes I have. Anyone who knows Angel Muse knows it's a winter fragrance. It was hard for me to part with it for long, hot spring and summer months, so imagine my happiness when I could get my hands on this EDT version! It still has the same hazelnut cocoa spread note, same DNA, but it's citrusy, juciy and fresh. I love it so much!

LillaMymlan

This stuff is AMAZING, as well as the Angel Muse edp! Sometimes fruit mixed with chocolate can be a complete disaster, but not at all in this case. Both of this perfumes are excellent gourmands, except that the edt might be a more wearable option for spring and summer.

Just like the edp this smells like nutella, but with more fruit in it. Also, if you think that the edp is a bit too much or heavy then I’m sure that the edt is a better option. I own both of them because I think that they are different enough, just like sisters. Love, love, love!

I am a die hard original Angel fan. I LOVE it, have worn it for 10 years and it will always be in my collection. It is my 'old faithful' I always can trust on :) Over the years I have tried a lot of different Mugler perfumes. I seem to either LOVE or HATE them. For instance do i LOVE LOVE LOVE Aura, Angel EDT and Angel Muse EDP, but hate the many ''summer'' flankers such as Eau Sucrée. But this is my first Mugler I neither love or hate. I FOR SURE like the EDP a lot more than this, but I still don't hate this. What I love about Angel Muse EDP is the thick heavy chocolaty patchouli. So sweet and Nutella-like on my skin :) But it can - much like original Angel - be A LOT, and often is way too much for day wear or office wear. Therefore I had high hopes for this. I loved Angel EDP and also EDT, so hoped this would be the same case, but not really. Where the EDP is nutty and creamy and Nutella-like, this one opens almost sourly stingy with the passion fruit. It takes quite a while before it calms down a bit. Then the classic Angel chocolate-patchouli scent opens up, and it is divine for several hours. But the vetiver kills it a bit for me. Too much vetiver. I don't really like it, but also don't dislike it. It is reminiscent of both original Angel and also Angel Muse EDP, but without being ''the same'' - they're all their own unique scent. It is clearly a very well composed fragrance, it just don't really fit me personally. Bottle, projection, longevity is as everything from the Mugler house in outstanding quality.

Even better than the EDP. Enjoyable, mouthwatering in a light, elegant, youthful way. I do not know why, but in my imagination I wear this fragrance on a walk crossing Pont Notre Dame (one of the bridges on river Seine) on a late spring evening. Hm, imaginations...

Michylaka

Muse EDT is a fine example of modern ingenuity in regards to fragrance. Mugler Parfums keeps putting out these amazing releases. I may just go broke. LOL!

I enjoy the Citrus and Passionfruit opening and the creamy Hazelnut Chocolate Spread heart. The Woody notes are very smooth here as well. I also smelled quite a bit of Caramel that is just beautiful. Muse EDT is sparkling and sweet. A great pick me up for any time.

Unlike its parent this flanker of a flanker has no Patchouli. I personally love the original Muse EDP and can handle the Patch. Angel I have had to learn to appreciate from afar but it is an iconic Patchouli masterpiece no doubt. This new baby is for those who were not too fond of the Patch but loved the Nutella in Muse EDP. This one may be for you!

Muse EDT smells like you are taking a ride on the top of a gourmet cupcake. One with the fancy cardboard cup. It is decadent and stunning. I wonder why they did not release this in the stores. In The States Muse EDT is a MuglerUSA online only offering. Strange but soon I think we may see it going retail.

The longevity is alarmingly long (8 hours+) and the sillage is huge at first then it abates to become moderate. Give her a skin test if you can find her. 10++

One spritz to my wrist and I was smitten with this joyous juice--honestly, if my daughter hadn't already called dibs on this one I'd have bought it on the spot, it is that good! A perfectly playful passionfruit and orange opening followed by an almost whimsical walk through the woods that teasingly turns into a heavenly hazelnut chocolate concoction that just doesn't quit. Is this really an EDT? I mean 14+ hours later and I was still getting luscious little whiffs of yummy melted morsel Mugler. As it stands, I am now counting down the days 'til Halloween when I can gift this to my daughter for her birthday; not sure how lovely she'll look with my nose at the nape of her neck, though I'm certain I won't be the only one mus[e]ing about her sensational scent aura ...

ScarlettX

Very nice, I like it just like the original.
Smells like hazelnut-chocolate cream to me.
Sweet hazelnut cream with some woody notes.
It's a well composed gourmand scent with some masculine/woody/spicy notes.
It's like a sweet hazelnut dessert in a library filled with old books.

I have worn Angel EDP since 1994, introduced the much loved Angel Muse EDP into my fragrance wardrobe about a year ago, and I now have Angel Muse EDT!

Muse EDP is sweeter and has more creamy hazelnut, whereas the Muse EDT is very much (to my nose) like original Angel EDP and Angel eau Sucree or Fruity Fair collided!

Muse EDT is lighter than Muse EDP and regular Angel EDP, but it is so amazing to me how similar, yet totally different each one smells.

I have over 50 bottles of fragrances (Men, Women, Unisex) and Mugler is for sure my #1 house. Tom Ford #2 YSL #3.

Warm or hot days, I think Muse EDT will be my go to choice for a Mugler. I personally have never found Angel EDP or Muse EDP hard, bad or too strong for warm temps, but if applied too heavy, they can be very "present". LOL Although, Angel EDP is a shell of it's former self after IFRA castrated it :(

Overall I am very impressed with Muse eau de Toilette. Similar to EDP Muse, but different. They are like our children. All different, all loved...just some days one is better or easier ;)

hamidouhanane101

i kid you not the first thing that came to my mind when i smelled this was nutella...i love angel but my skin doesnt bring out the gourmand note in it and its soooo frustrating angel on my skin is just straight up patchouli and while i still love the patch in angel i dont see my self paying all that money to only smell like patchouli...this works wonders for me because it is deliciously gourmand but there's still patch playing in the backgroud...to me this is a good flanker of angel especially that i am a nutella addict and i kid you not the first time i sniffed this scent and without even looking at the notes the first thing that came to my mind was nutella not regular hazelnut like in angel muse eau de parfum but the actual chocolat spread agh i love this i have a sample but i am definetly planing on getting a full bottle

Seemi

This variation of Angel Muse is a succulent juicy tropical concoction. The passion fruit and citrus fruit gives it a fresh fruity vibe. I’ve only tested it a few times and I ordered a bottle today. It’s a delicious decadent fragrance that will make you smell wonderful. You can definitely get the Angel Muse DNA in this but it’s scaled back and the vetiver and fruits shine. Love it :)

Arlene-Beatrix

Very nice, fresh, gourmand woody scent. Good choice for spring, fall and mild winter for any citrus & hazelnut scents' lovers. Usually nutty scents are not my cup of tea, but this one is really well blended!

Rosepowdery

Juicy fresh sweet sexy

I cannot find better words to describe this fragrance. It is all in one. It ´s sweet, fresh, juicy and a little bit spicy. I am addicted to Muse edt these days.

I have never been asked what am I wearing as often as now when I wear Muse eau toilette.

It´s more fresh than eau de parfum

mychinarose

The other day I was wearing Angel Muse EDT, and by the evening-time when I was snuggled up with my 4 year-old son, he said to me, "Mmmm, Mama you smell yummy." "Really? What do I smell like?" "You smell like chocolate and butter!"

Enough said, LOL!

When I first discovered the EDP, I was immediately smitten. I was SO excited to be able to fall in love with, and be able to wear, an Angel fragrance, as the original had always been a turn-off to me. So when I found out the EDT was coming out with a slightly different smell I was really impatient to get it, so I pre-ordered it from the Mugler website.

When it first arrived, I was a little disappointed. The initial blast smelled too much like grapefruit and chocolate, which smelled weird to me. But then, I'm not really sure what happened. I tried it again a few weeks later, and either it was the warmer weather, or my palate had evolved, or I was just ready for a fresher take on Angel Muse. Now, maybe I love it even more than the EDP!

This is a complex scent, and that means that it evolves. The citrus/fruit combo does smell a bit grapefruit, and that's actually really nice for warm weather. The hazelnut and vetiver do take over soon after, and yes, the vetiver is what some reviewers are reading as masculine, but I do not mind this one bit. I think vetiver is the new patchouli, and more and more frags may get on the bandwagon.

In the end, I think Angel Muse, both EDP and EDT are the modern Angel. The good news is it's not as prevalent as all the LVEB's and Flowerbombs out there, so if you wear this you can still be unique. And (fingers crossed) it's not going anywhere!

elisha_paul

Am I the only one that does not like this?
I bought this because I love sweet scents, so when I saw the notes of hazelnut chocolate I was sure I’d love it. However I do not smell this note at all. This to me smells very unisex/masculine, and I’m assuming this is because of the vetiver. This is the note I smell the most prominently. That and perhaps the woody notes. This is very unique scent so if that is what you want that is what you’ll get. But If, like me you like sweet feminine scents and are buying it for the chocolate note then this is not the one.
On the up side it is very long lasting and has decent sillage.

Gourmandlover

Very yummy scent. To my nose it smells indeed very similar to angel muse edp, only lighter, a bit fresher I would say. I prefer the edp for its better projection and longevity, but if you think the edp is too strong for you then this could be a good alternative.

locksandpolish

I love it! Not a fan of Angel, so naturally I didn't care for the Angel muse Edp. But this is completely different. Its more citrus and sweet. A lot softer nutty smell on the dry down. I smell more woodsy. Not a super strong smell. So its very office friendly. I'm in Love.

cinnakitty

I vastly prefer this to Muse edp.
I smelled this blind to the notes, and I would’ve sworn it had raspberry and rhubarb! It’s like a summer sorbet in comparison to the edp. There’s an undertone of Muse and Angel here. I really love it.

KitKat

I probably like this one even better than the edp. Opening is gorgeous it is so juicy and yummy!! I am impressed how long wearing and powerful it is for an edt. Great job mugler.

Cherry_Darling

Really enjoying this sample...super nutty like a nutella pancake with a drizzle of passion frout coulais...YUMM

**5 hours later a very strong vetiver drywdown! Super powerful I'm impressed.

I recently received this perfume in the mail, with out testing the fragrance before hand. I LOVE the EDP, however, I have been having issues with fragrances and headaches lately. So I decided to purchase this hoping it wouldn't cause any issues. So far, so good!

It's very light, as it is and EDT. It's lighter than I would have expected from Mugler. Even though it is so light and airy, I can still smell it on myself. I don't feel a headache coming on with this scent. Which I LOVE. I loved the EDP, but thankfully there is something out there I can use, that is just as good and fit for the hotter weather.

KitKat

This is finally available on Mugler website in the usa

Kmam

I have loved Muse since it was released and wasn't sure on this one, based on the notes. Well, that was stupid of me, because I may love this one even more.

It's got the hazelnut/patchouli/vetiver background (and is recognisable as a sister to Muse) but the orange/passionfruit notes give it a playful cheerfulness that works so well. It's like a grown up reminiscing of the smell of an orange creamsicle. I want to eat this! There's also a reminder of Gucci Rush when it dries down, but sweeter. I am so pleased with how different it is to the EDP, though; I really think it says volumes about the creativity at Mugler that it stands alone so well.

Longevity is great, as I'd expect from a Mugler anyway. I have torn through my sample and feel the inevitability of a full bottle before spring kicks in.

Jenge

Oh dear, a disappointing blind buy for me. I find this very similar to the original Muse in that the vetiver is pretty much all I smell. I also sense a menthol/clean patchouli that's also present in Eau Sucree. Then it's just more & more vetiver. My husband said he smelled vanilla and citrus, but I couldn't get past the vetiver. Where's the chocolate hazelnut cream? I wanted a big creamy dollop of it on toast with orange juice and now I'm just hungry and sad! Maybe I was expecting a realistic gourmand instead of an interpretation.

muncierobson

Angel EDP is my signature... I used to HATE the stuff but did a 180 some 5 years ago and we have been living happily ever after, ever since!

I have really enjoyed some of the flankers (le gout de parfum and liqueurs in particular).

Angel Muse EDP should have been a love but I found it a little too sweet and cloying.

Angel Muse EDT sounded promising - a little fresher, lighter and containing passion fruit - a huge love of mine!

Performance is softer but decent and the fruits really lift the mood of the Nutella heavy EDP.

just28

This is not so different from Angel Muse in terms of "mood". It's sweet fresh young but with a hippie edge.

Don't expect this to be a simple orange, nutty, sweet thing. It's more special than that. The woody/earthy notes thrown in the mix are to me the Mugler signature.

It's a bit dirty in my opinion. It's artsy. I see a hippie chic girl going to a indie show in a very cool, unknown place.

It's really interesting and fun, and very addictive.

On the other hand it's not something you can wear anywhere.

Also it's very subtle compared to Angel and Angel Muse. This one I can spray it 3/4 times and barely notice it, I have to be close to smell something.

It's good though.... I will try it a little longer before I make a choice. But so far, another good one from Mugler. :)

Neo 1010

Mich03

It’s available in Canada.
Rare for Canada to get anything first! We are normally waaaay down the list;)

KitKat

@daria_21 not in the usa

Daria_21

@giakerr,

It’s been available on Sephora Canada’s website for a few weeks (not sure where else though).

giakerr

WHERE is everyone trying this scent?! It says it was released at the end of 2017, yet it is not in stores, nor on the official Mugler website. There aren’t even samples available through the site. Can somebody tell me how they are testing this already and if anyone knows when it will actually be available to buy?

Musky4

Is this available in the UK yet?

Neveah Delisle

Smells like Nutella with hints of orange! Totally awesome!

VioletNoir

Yall just keep getting better and better

mikemuscles21

This is gorgeous. My favorite female scent for 2017.
(But I feel like the first Muse had to happen in order for this one to be this good).

Norgirl

This one is totaly beautiful .Easyer to wear then The edp wich can be a bit Thick sometimes .
The sweetnes and warmth in the edp can be a bit heavy sometimes. But in this edt its lifted by citrus in the opening , I thought of Grapefruit first time i sprayed it one .Not to tart but sweetend . I see it must be the Mix between pashionfruit and citrus that makes this feal . To me there was also a slight touch of berrys . The hazelcream is also dominent but not to thick IMO. The vetiver and woods makes a nice base to ground it and not make it to girly.
I would say that this is more like a Innocent angel compered to Angel . more then Angel edp and edt . It has a bit of the berry from Innocent angel on my skin.
Very beautiful indeed .

Maja Porter

Cannot wait! Loved Angel Muse, and if this is softer version - I will probably love it even more!

jovejove

Much nicer than the edp

blanc.noir

Smiley emoji with heart eyes. Can’t wait to smell this!!

Kon-nos91

Hmmm...sounds interesting, not into too 'fruity' perfumes, I can't imagine how this edition will manage to smell lighter and fruitier compared to the previous one, but the EDP was a bit too harsh for me. Excellent gourmand though a bit too much, but that's Tierry Mugler. Doing this review just to remember of reviewing it and let you know all soon. Happy holidays fragranticans <3

Minnie02

This is a beautifully delicious scent. To me, it still has that gourmand creamy hazelnut chocolate from the original with an added light/subtle cherry. I know cherry is not a note listed here but that's what comes across to me. I suppose it could be the passion fruit but I'm not familiar with what that smells like. I think it's slightly lighter than the original but not by much, and it lasts just as long.

To sum it up, a creamy decadent [subtle] cherry chocolate! And my new obsession!

lizzyshreds

OMG! It never ends, it only keeps getting better with Mugler, I just can't get enough. Mugler has released some of the best perfumes in the last few years!
