Yellow Diamond by Versace is a Floral fragrance for women. Yellow Diamond was launched in 2011. Top notes are Amalfi Lemon, Pear, Bergamot and Neroli; middle notes are Mimosa, Freesia, Water Lily and African Orange Flower; base notes are Musk, Guaiac Wood and Amber.

Versace started its glamorous fragrance line inspired by crystals in 2004 with Crystal Noir perfume, and then launched the lighter and fruitier Bright Crystal in 2006. In 2011, a new fragrance of the collection emerges, "a crystal that turns into a diamond," named Yellow Diamond.

Yellow Diamond is crafted as a pure, transparent and airy floral fragrance, sparkling and intense as the yellow color, while being luxurious and feminine like a diamond. Its composition opens with luminous freshness of lemon, bergamot, neroli and pear sorbet. The heart features airy orange blossom, freesia, mimosa and water lily. The base is made of amber, precious musk and guaiac wood.

The bottle is shaped like the previous editions of the collection, colored in yellow, while its box is decorated with baroque ornaments. The face of the campaign is an Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw, shot by Mario Testino in Paris.

Versace Yellow Diamond is available as 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette, with deodorant and body lotion.

This isn’t my type of fragrance at all, it’s better suited for my mom, but it does smell pretty nice and certainly better than Bright Diamond. It smells really summery.

im_batman

I bought this for my mom today. I love it, she loves it, my dad loves it, and my brother loves it. If there are any women reading the reviews just know this is a good sexy fragrance and male approved.

allie264827

i tried this on and then went to a graduation party. two of my friends there said i smell like old people and three said it smelled like dirt. then i went to my parents house and as soon as i walked in they said its “not the best,” which in parent language means it’s terrible.

i also only put on two sprays and it was that noticeably bad. definitely do not recommend to anyone

DarkSparkle

I don't usually like citrus or floral forward scents, so this isn't one of my favorites. But I absolutely adore the musky amber drydown, which comes for me after maybe 2 hours. In fact, I found out about this perfume by asking someone wearing it in the supermarket what she was wearing cause she smelled really good. I have never done that before but that's how much I love the dry down 😂 I've tested it many times and can't bring myself to buy it because I'm not rich enough to pay that much for a perfume I only half like. Maybe if I find it deeply discounted 🤷♀️

Saboba

A clean, creamy and slightly floral perfume. This is nothing complex, nothing groundbreaking, but it smells very good. I surprisingly like it, but I don't get any of the citric notes though.

stringstheory

i'm testing it out and while this is not groundbreaking i prefer this to Bright Crystal...basically the same DNA without the pomegranate note that suddenly morphed into a cloying syrupy note the very second i turned 30. it did have that "citrus floor cleaner" smell at first so be aware, but on me it mellowed out quickly. i suspect longevity will improve for me once it gets hotter - much like Bright Crystal.

i love the description @Whit left below as a fragrance that smells "yellow", because my first thought was this is a creative way to add yellow to my "wardrobe" without actually wearing it. i plan to suck it up and finish my bottle of Bright Crystal but i'm considering replacing it with Yellow Diamond.

njakavac

Unimpressed. Even though it's pleasant, it's completely unremarkable. It doesn't go well with my skin type, it's completely lost - very intimate, close to skin... This perfume would be better if it had more intensity. Will try intense version the next time.

Sassy1

Love the pretty scent and tropical feel of this one but don't love the lack of projection and 1/2 hour lasting power.

The "intense" doesn't have the same notes so that won't solve the problem.

Dissapointed....

blackberryvines

To me, the top notes smell like if MJ Daisy was mixed with lemon-scented Lysol. The dry-down was powdery and an unpleasant, dusty kind of musk, that took days to finally scrub off.

liquidangel

smells like a lemon jelly bean

AnniePruana

This is a perky, pretty fragrance with good staying power. Love the mimosa, an unusual floral but still easy to like. An good choice for a morning perfume to start the day happy.

Whit

I've liked Yellow Diamond for quite some time, I just never added it until recently. This is a happy fragrance, reminiscent of carefree spring and summer days. The lemon is standout, but it doesn't smell like a cleaning product; it's very smooth and the name suits it as it smells very yellow. After it mellows, I can smell a bit of the mimosa, but honestly, it's so well-blended, that I can't pick the other notes out. Longevity on my skin was into the next day, so very long-lasting. Sillage is moderate. Lovely spring and summer scent!

kittys0ft

I got a sample of this along with bright crystal since I thought.. why not!

Unfortunately it's how I discovered I absolutely CAN'T STAND heavy citrus scents, and this is exactly that. If you want to smell like a billion lemons (and almost something else that's spicy, like ginger maybe? It reminds me of the Twinings lemon ginger tea for some reason haha) in a way that's so piercing it gets distracting to even be the one wearing it??

Less sweet than bright crystal, this is how highlighter yellow would smell if it was elegant

Since it was a sample I could basically only wear it a few times before running out, and I decided to ration it for whenever I needed to be extra productive, since the scent was so intense it legitimately had an almost caffeine effect on me it's made of pure overwhelming energy! I didn't find this floral at all until the dry down, but that just makes it feel like even more of a rich old lady perfume than it already was.

Definitely another old money type of scent, which isn't a bad thing!! I'd say it's not even worth trying though if you're not that type of person (not for teens), and if you didn't like bright crystal you'll probably like this even less haha! With that said it's not at all basic and even though it was headache inducing to me, it kept my attention in a way that's hard to explain.

blood-dorm

Tested it - loved it. But lasts 2 hours max. Probably will just buy a miniature. The box and scent screams South East Asian somehow without actually taking inspiration from there, does it make sense? Because we love yellow and gold motifs, smells kinda tropical too. Just personal sentiments maybe. I'd say this is a safer blind buy than Bright Crystal since it's less sharp, the balance of Bright and Noir.

monamushroom

It do make sense in a way that this smells yellow. It is heavier than you would initially think, but its still fresh and lemon-y. It is refreshing and crisp, but you can still pick up some kind of cleaning product smell from this, and it dries down very soapy, and squeaky clean. It reminds me of Daisy in some ways, and that may be why I find this a bit dated…

3mma10

I will never get over the disappointment of the low reviews for this fragrance!

It's definitely my favourite hot weather fragrance I've owned. It's fresh, but it's managed to avoid smelling like a cleaning product, like many other fresh fragrances do. Instead, I find it to be quite sophisticated and such great value for money (it's also often on discount).

Definitely give this one a go, especially if you like lemon in fragrances :)

vodkakran

Kinda smells like every other designer perfume :(

StinkySwampWitch

I really wanted to like it but, the top two reactions I received were "smells like old lady perfume" and "soapy". Unfortunately, I have to agree, as much as I hate to use those terms, these were also my first thoughts. This scent is definitely familiar, and to put it nicely, a classic.

Based on the notes alone, I did expect something different. I was definitely hoping for more lemon and/or pear but, I mostly get musk and sharp floral notes.

I have Bright Crystal Absolu, as well, and these both have a certain character to them, that I find to be headache inducing. I'm honestly a bit sad about that. Not a safe blind buy, imo. I don't hate it but, I definitely don't love it.

burp17

I decided to try this perfume after my mom got it as a sample, I tried it first so I had no idea what to expect. It's obviously nothing super unique or groundbreaking but it's fine! For me it's definitely a summer/spring/daytime scent but that's okay. It works really well with my body chemistry and lasts for a long time. It starts very citrusy and sharp, it's almost unappealing but then quickly settles into pleasant fruits and florals. It's a clean, simple smell that I like for casual wear. I've gotten complimented wearing this scent, it's not my number one but I like it! I'm also a huge fan of how this interacts with sweat or rain, idk how or why but it makes the scent better in a way I can't describe lol

CiCiGourmand

This along with bright crystal doesn't work with my body chemistry. BC is too sharp and gives me a headache and Yellow Diamond goes animalic on my skin. Underneath the brightness the mimosa turns to a slight funk therefore I think I would be better off trying the intense version. To date the only Versace scents I have luck with is Versense and the Dreamer. Of course I haven't tried them all. I don't think this smells like Daisy in the slightest.

megmann77

An underrated gem from the Versace line! This is a great scent for the spring and summer with the citrus and floral notes. This has pretty good longevity when layered with some type of lotion. Wish this scent was talked about more cause it really deserves more attention.

nukleo777

It is same as Bright Crystal. Background scent but a bit different than Bright Crystal. Not as crispy but more citrusy. I use this one to keep freshness after showering. Most people say this smells like expensive shampoo but I didn't pick up that vibe. Yellow Diamond is easy for wearing during spring and summer days. Very intimate but bright and aquatic. All in all, I did not regret buying it.

mochagrl

i decided to do a little thing where i try out perfumes from my mom’s collection and yellow diamond is her signature. she wears it all year around though i would argue it smells waaay better in the spring/summer season. now dont let the fact that it’s in my mom’s collection scare you. it doesn’t have that “old lady” perfume smell. its VERY citrusy. but after a while it drys down into something more sweet and floral. i don’t really get that shampoo smell everyone else is but to put it simple, yellow diamond is the big sister of marc jacobs’ daisy.

arieschick44

This is a pretty scent that I like, but not love. I layered this with the body wash and the lotion and it lasted a good 8 hours so that was a positive. It is very sweet and floral and maybe more geared towards a younger demographic. I would rate this a 6/10

vsmr

If Marc Jacobs Daisy and D&G Light Blue had a baby, this would be it. Pretty enjoyable fragrance, my favorite from the “crystals” line.

lulu169

@clare...u mean Omnia golden CITRINE

Clare101

This scent is like the perfect hybrid of the pink Bright Crystal and Bvlgaris Omnia Coral.

MountainPrincess

Nope. Going by notes I should love this, and Bright Crystal Absolu is lovely.... but this is old lady church perfume scrubber! Ugh.

Suzanne loves Perfume

I'm sorry Versace l adore your fashions and brand but l dislike this very much. My mum gave me a massive full 200ml bottle that she didn't like, so passed it on to me and l used about 20mls and just cant come right with it either. To me it smells like hairspray or a shampoo. It's not got the pleasant notes l like in perfumes or maybe l do like a few, but it's done wrong in this fragrance. It gives me Calvin Kleins CK One late 90s vibes which make me want to grimace as everyone in a 100 mile radius drenched themselves in CK1 in the 90s.
Nope, to me l cant smell the Amber or musk just the lemony bitter bergamot shampoo hairspray stench the only reason l keep mine is because the bottle and liquid colour is divine. It looks expensive on the dressing table with my other perfumes. But as my collection grows l won't have the space for such a large chunky bottle anymore and will try to swap it with someone for a perfume l like, and if that fails l hope to give it away to someone with no money or fancy perfumes that will be so excited to recieve it and it will make them feel fancy, rich and sexy. That would make me happy. I give this perfume a 4/10 and thats just for the gorgeous bottle.

Update 23.03.24 Got rid of it, along with a few others l disliked l was waiting for the right person who would appreciate them! Good riddance you hateful yellow monster if l never smell you again it will be too soon.. 😆

Moonbeam28

This would be better in summer, not January which is when I am trying this. Definitely has the Bright Crystal DNA but less “pink”. I like it although it smells a bit generic and doesn’t seem to last. Will update in May/June if I change my mind.

Sophia97

I have discovered this fragrance yesterday, when I was at my cousin's wedding and one of her friend smelled like she just came out of the shower smelling like a good soap and shampoo, so fresh and light. A slightly soapy I would say, but over all a good fresh fragrance. I will definitely order this in a day or two!

JupiterMoon

Whenever my workmate wears this I always think she has just shampooed her hair. A high-quality shampoo, though. Fresh and bright sunny day scent.

francesca_

This is a perfectly OK watery-citrus-floral fragrance to wear particularly in spring/summer. Bright Crystal with a top blast of citrus added. Projection and longevity are both limited on my skin but affordable to buy in my area compared to other designer perfumes. I prefer other citruses in summer, and it’s too similar to Bright Crystal (which I prefer despite sharing some similar feelings towards) to justify repurchasing, but not at all a bad smelling perfume. I’ll use it up but won’t give it much notice!

Suigintou

Serotonin in a bottle, instantly puts me in a happy mood. Perfect for sunny summer days

Sarra816

Was my mom's signature scent for a bit - she was into the fragrances along the lines of no. 5, coco mad, white diamonds, daisy etc
This one was nice for her too, its light and easy to wear. It is a mature citrus and gives a fresh pretty scent. She finished the entire bottle :) even I enjoy wearing this from time to time. This is Marc Jacob's Daisy's older sister.

sunhaa

This is my mom’s signature! A very crowd pleasing, clean, fresh, pretty scent. Suitable for all ages and performance is pretty good.

silverlocusts

My goodness, why are there so many vitriolic reviews for this? People need to step out and touch grass, or perhaps pet a dog, because that amount of hate in one's heart is not healthy. Anyway, I like this scent! It is a nice palate cleanser after wearing a lot of bolder scents. For me, the citrus/fruit isn't all that prominent. I get mostly the flowers, musk, and amber. It is sunshiney and unabashedly happy, which might be why it inspires so much hate. I am constantly on the hunt for mimosa or silk flower perfumes, so I was very happy to find this one. It has broad appeal, but I do not think that is a bad thing. Haters to the left.

OTA Mom

Easy wearing fun floral fragrance. Safe for the office.

Claudiquah

The dry down resembles a sticky, concentrated orange juice stain and sharpies. Really offensive.

Maki

There's something so appealing about this scent. It's fresh, feminine and gives an aura of cleanliness. But not in a shower gel type of way, more so like a lady that does nothing physically demanding and therefore always smells like a bouquet. Considering it belongs to citrus heavy scents, it's quite well projecting and long lasting. I can smell it hours later just the same. That doesn't seem to be the common experience though. A friend whom I first smelled it on says she smells nothing after a couple of minutes. So test wear it at least once.

Streetwall

Fresh summer Calabria coastal flowers scent , I find this similar to Dylan turquoise a easy wear fresh summer scent comes with the deodorant stick to complete this set summer fragrance. I just don’t know if I like Yellow diamond or Dylan turquoise the best but definitely giving independent easy summer young woman parfum vibes

ANNAFRYS

Scent of Sex Worker hanging out with her sponsor in Amalfi yacht.
She is scheduled for her next plastic surgery and in maintime she shops luxurious bags in Portofino.

Mumrah7

Love this perfume it never gets old. I always get loads of compliments when I wear it.

Lisa86

One of my favourites for daytime wear.

The invigorating citrus energizes me in the opening and fades into a comfortable powdery and smooth finish keeping me feeling fresh in the summer heat.

FlowerSeeker

Sampled this yesterday morning. Read a review yesterday at lunch that said someone bought it at TJ Maxx. Visited TJMx yesterday after work and brought home their only bottle. Love this so much and loved it immediately! There’s something in it that reminds me of Lancôme Magnifique but they don’t share many notes. Just a lovely sweet yellow floral that makes me joyfully sniff my arm throughout the day.

toriiyorii

This perfume is so refreshing. i picked it up at Tj Maxx a few days ago and i am in love, i will definitely be purchasing the full size bottle. highly recommend for summer days :)

ljsmith

Smells very much like Marc Jacob’s Daisy but a little fresher and cleaner and less in your face. If Daisy is a teen or college student, Yellow Diamond is in her next phase of life. As a former Daisy youngster myself, I selected this as my wedding scent in my 20s probably for that very reason. They both have a faint grassy quality that I really love.

KatelynMLovesPerfume

This smells like a shampoo-y citrusy floral. While it does smell good, I just feel like i've smelled this type of fragrance done so many times it's redundant. I love most Versace fragrances but honestly this one kinda reminds me of a celebrity type fragrance that you could get for like $25.

Lotte_Liese

I truly enjoyed the opening- it was fresh and interesting, I could pick up the neroli, mimosa and water lily. But as it dried down, the fragrance became non-descript and lost its 'special' factor. It became a fruity white floral that would be an easy summer reach.

princessproxy101

Very citrusy, also clean, and floral with a hint of sweetness and musk. I like this perfume but some of my friends and family did not like the odor and some people told me the citrus in the perfume was too much and too strong. I on the other hand like citrus and fruity-smelling perfumes.

PijiRobyn

This is an inoffensive luxurious hair product scent. Nothing memorable or spectacular but perfect for a school/office scent. It’s very mimosa forward on my skin, which could read a bit “mature” but in my eyes, it read mature in the intellectual sense. It’s possible it could be headache inducing so best do a full wear test if you’re sensitive to florals. Reminds me of the impression J’Adore by Dior gives me.

Upward_Falling

Too much pear. I wanted so badly to love this. I tried multiple times over the course of 3 spring & summer seasons but after forcing my way through 1/4 bottle, I gifted it to my teenage daughter. I've noticed she doesn't reach for it either. I like pear, but I don't LOVE pear and I feel like you really need to love that note to consider this a win. It's the most dominate note that I pick up next to the musk. I can smell the bergamot and white florals but they stay in the background and all I pick up on is a dry musky pear which starts to feel suffocating. It reminds me of an old Victoria's Secret Pear body mist from the early 2000's and smells of that price range. Fortunately I snagged this on a fantastic sale so I don't feel upset that it didn't work out for me, but I cannot say I would recommend this as I wouldn't enjoy smelling it on other people any more than I did on myself.

Flowerfruit

This is my favorite Versace fragrance! It’s a beautiful, bright citrus floral scent that’s perfect for warm weather. Every time I wear this I feel cheerful and uplifted. It doesn’t turn sour on my skin like Bright Crystal and has a much better dry down.

melilelu

I found the opening and middle to be similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy--fresh, light, airy florals with a touch of sweetness and a hint of citrus. They diverged in the dry down. Daisy settled into a sweet musk, while Yellow Diamond's dry down reminded me of Versense's sour woods.

ravenjane

Very pretty; personally I prefer Yellow Diamond over the ever popular Bright Crystal.
Yellow Diamond has a very bright, pleasant fragrance with most prominent notes of bergamot and amber. The woody notes come out just a bit in the drydown, but it's definitely more floral and fruity than anything.

Safe blind buy if you prefer more tangy white florals in my opinion. Lovely spring and summer scent for everyday wear.

meriel

There are a lot of aspects of this fragrance which I would normally love- lemon, water lily, mimosa and neroli. This was why I gave the pear notes the benefit of the doubt (I shouldn't have). The pear and freesia are like a toxic couple that amplify each other's worst traits. I typically quite like freesia, but in this case it is slightly overpowering. For the first hour, this smells like my grandma's bedroom after being freshly cleaned with glade lemon scented shake n' vac. Afterwards, it dries down to a fairly unremarkable yellow floral scent. I wish the water lily was stronger, for a more aquatic quality- I think that would have made the pear slightly more bearable.
Also the bergamot makes it more unisex than I usually go for.

suzanne_ronald

Fluffy WHIPPED LEMON & MIMOSA. Opens with a fruity-floral burst with citrus, honey & clean touches that reads honeysuckle & lemon soap to my nose. These all deepen into a white floral heart that has powdery, honey, clean, fruity, & yellow-floral touches, all resting on a musky amber-woody base. Over time, it acquires a pleasant detergent vibe in the air. Above average performance for a spring-summer wearing experience.

Contrast to Yellow Diamond (OG) Versace:
These are different, but they're strikingly similar. YDI has a more forward white-floral accord, pungent-citrus quality and more honey-hay, while the OG is softer with a more fluffy citrus, and has a more forward shampoo quality. Both have above average performance, but YDI is slightly outperforms.

Contrast to Eros Pour Femme Versace:
These are different, but there are similarities. YD is more honey-hay forward, while VEPF has a forward pomegranate note, but the longer they dry down the more similar they become. YD outperforms.

Contrast to Honey Marc Jacobs:
These are different, but my first impression of YD was a similarity to Honey MJ. YD is more citrus forward. Roughly equivalent performance.

Overall: Beautiful sweet citrus-floral scent, with above average performance. What scent would YOU wear on a walk in the park? It's a love for me. Enjoy!

cyclone1391

Neroli is generally not my friend and unfortunately is true for this scent as well. I was hoping more mimosa and pear, which are present, but the Neroli and woods takes over on my skin and gives a leaning masculine smell. Not bad, but sharp.

GoodVibrations

It smells great on a blotter. On skin, it separates into a dirty freesia hellscape. You didn’t know that freesia could smell dirty? Neither did I! There’s no lemon. I was hoping for the clean lemon of Versace Man Eau Fraîche. Slice open a lemon. It does not smell like this. The freesia is enough to knock people over, but the rest of the composition “freesia” from smelling good. I’ve smelled this before on other people and thought they needed to wash, but it was this! It basically splits into three distinct layers: top accord of hairspray, middle accord of a block of wood screeching across a chalkboard, and a base note of superdirty underwear. Call it a cedar underwear drawer with lots of hairspray and bacteria if you want to, but I call it something else. If IFRA was supposed to save everyone from allergens, what’s going to save everyone from this? Longevity doesn’t matter for a scrubber. It lasts too long no matter how quickly it fades.
P.S. It doesn’t fade.

LulaValentine

I remember absolutely LOVING this the first time I smelled it. I repeatedly asked for it for Christmas and my birthday (which—lucky me— are only 5 days apart 🥲), and sadly I never got it.

Now that it’s been so long, I need to sample this again before I buy it just in case. I know I love bergamot, pear, some lemons, neroli, orange flower, and I adore musky ambers but I’ve smelled plenty of frags I disliked with those notes. Hopefully I can find a few samples for a good price to give it a fair wear test.

The bottle is so stunning that I really do hope I love this now like I loved it back then! Yellow diamonds are my favorite color diamonds too!

I’ll be back to update when I get my hands on some samples!

Jordan 99

I was expecting aquatic juicy pear, but pear is unripped cold not sweet enough. Lemon very sharp, bergamot adds unisex vibes. Mimosa is too prominent, I love mimosa but especially first too hours is combine just with lemon so it’s just too sharp. Drydown is lovely tho, amber and musk help smooth and sweeten up mimosa/lemon combo. I’m bit disappointed, was expecting more of aquatic qualities from pear and water lily. I think I’m able to use up my 1.7oz bottle during summer, it smells better in humid weather and around water, lotion helps too. Wouldn’t buy again. UPDATE: there was some pinch sharp masculine note, I had to give it a way. And yes it’s similar to daisy, there is something unclean in daisy, like when you don’t have time to take shower so you cover it up with frag, YD is just male version of daisy, at last on my skin.

minnosyne

This smells like a good morning to me. A worry free, quiet morning spent drying your hair in the sun after taking a shower that leaves the whole bathroom warm and humid and smelling like your shampoo. It smells like putting your lounge chair in the sunniest part of your yard, and enjoying the peace of early summer with your eyes closed and your face tilted towards the sun. It's not a particularly unique or groundbreaking scent, but it certainly is lovely. If you love that 'fresh out of the shower' smell, then you'll love this.

ViceCity

My mother got this as a gift from a relative and wore it for a dinner at a resort. Her fragrance tastes are usually very different from mine but in that instance I absolutely loved the smell of it! I felt it was bright and fresh.

YellowFluff

Pear and yellow florals are very vivid in this perfume. Not suited to everyone's taste but fresh and young nonetheless.

MonicaCloud

This is my go-to for when I'm on a picnic or spending a day in nature. It opens with sparkly bergamot and sweet, juicy pear, and immediately the luscious, grass-green notes start emerging. The powdery mimosa and clean musk reveal themselves closer to the dry-down. Such a clean feel-good scent, ideal for summer and springtime.

IL0v3perfume

a softer and less salty blue escape for her by avon

Estacey3

A very pleasant and somewhat complex floral perfume that smells feminine and divine overall with excellent longevity and projection. Would be a safe blind buy for floral lovers, HOWEVER as wonderful smelling as this is to the other people, there's something a bit overpowering and headache-inducing for me.

jellyliyah

The longevity is very good despite it being EDT. Basic but still a nice and fresh summer scent

dantheman352

Yellow Diamond happy 23 birthday. February 25th 2023. We awaited you're coming patiently and with so much love. We your parents were informed that we couldn't bear a child. To our amazement after many prayers and 3 years later you were born.

Since we did not know your gender all the gifts, clothes and garments were yellow the common neutral color. Hence you became our Yellow Diamond that shines so bright.

This scent is uplifting citrusy and floral exuding a sweet freshness without being cloying. Although being a true star during spring and summer It's versatile enough it can be worn in any situation all year round.

Versace Yellow Diamond is a truly bright sunshine that makes me think of you every time I smell it.

with love your parents.

lmnsvgz

Fresh likeable citrus scent.

MauveBee93

A light, bright, sunny and pleasant lemon floral. Yes it isn’t a standout fragrance or some unique and complex concoction, but it also never presents itself to be. The bottle is an accurate presentation of the fragrance contained inside!

This is a nice fresh citrus with hints of floral and a teeny bit of powderyness throughout that is perfect for days when you want to smell pleasant without putting in much thought or effort. This diamond definitely shines brightest in warm and sunny weather! I have decent performance when it comes to projection and longevity (especially for an EDT!), so no complaints there.

If you want something simple, happy and bright that garners compliments from passers by, choose Versace Yellow Diamond.

CarmenNola23

I must say I have this fragrance in edt and the intense and they’re surprisingly different. In this edt the freesia is a bit overpowering and can feel kinda generic freesia “body spray” … I think it outshines the citrus and overtakes the more delicate notes. The intense is more bright, citrus, summery and the florals are more delicate and balanced. Overall if you can get it for a good price go for it the dry down is nice and it’s worth having, but I think it’s best in its intense version.

Blonde7799

All generic florals and no citrus. When I tested this in the store with a sprayer, I got lemon upon first spray which prompted me to buy it. But since I purchased it in a travel size, it came with a roller ball. There is no citrusy, lemon scent whatsoever with the rollerball.

sisterdes

On others it's promising and light, on me it's screechy, and reminiscent of ammonia. I definitely get the cat pee note when I try this, even on dry down. Regular bright crystal works perfectly on me, so this was a disappointment.

Atomikbomb_

Yeah. You know? This one is tough. I've procrastinated on reviewing it for at least 2 years, although I've smelled it on someone numerous times and I've sampled it personally twice.

So, finally took the time to look at the reviews here and I'm glad I did. I think it's safe to conclude that this is a weird perfume, that smells much better at a distance than it does up close. That's ok. Although they're absolutely nothing alike in scent profile, Good Girl is also this way and I wear it *only* when I'm merely considering scent trail and not necessarily my own enjoyment.

A cashier at Walmart wore this and I complimented her a few times on it, the first of which sparked a nice conversation (try to compliment others, it's so fun!). It emanated *beautifully* off her and smelled like a deliciously sweet lemony floral, and almost like limoncello drink. It was feminine, clean, and ultra pretty. It wasn't necessarily super boujie...but it was gorgeous in the most approachable way. It also has this moderately musky tone without being powdery...like a laundry musk.

Yet...when I sampled this on my person it didn't smell the same whatsoever. The magic simply wasn't there. It was kind of sharp honestly, artificial (sorry, I know most perfumes are and so people dislike that term, but I'm trying to explain the ineffable here) and brash. I didn't hate it outright, but it really didn't even strike me as the same perfume I loved on the Walmart lady. It bummed me out.

It's predominantly sweetened NEON lemon (hopefully that adjective works), and ITCHY yellow florals up close. It's similar to Born In Roma Yellow Dream, but that one is actually more tolerable to me than this was.

So if you purchase this just be aware that this might be a different experience depending on if you wear it or not. Maybe it's one to spray behind your knees so it can waft upwards, and it's not so ridiculous up close? I should've tried that, and I regret not testing it in that fashion ("live and learn", right?).

I just want to be around people who wear this, and not wear it myself 🤭🍋

whodoesyourtaxes

Was hoping to love this, but I smell all floral and no citrus :( It's nice enough, but pretty boring on me.

stephanienwc

It smells nice at first but then turns into a urinal cake.

Hifza

Versace Yellow Diamond is my favorite of all times. Its kind of a bloomy and a light fragrance. A very good scent for spring and summers. Using this scent since 10 years and it gives very refreshing feels every single time.

spraguelauren

It's nice. Light and fresh. Smells like a Daisy flanker. Worth the $15 I paid for it at Ross

It also layers very nicely with Not A Perfume!

nebula13

This is one of my favorite perfumes! I had people stop me several times to ask me what I was wearing. It's a loud perfume but I wouldn't say it's the kind of scent that would give you head aches. It's fresh, citrusy and can be worn both in day and night, lasts a good amount of time on me!

deauxBabs

Whenever I used this perfume people around me would say that it left a trail
people asked what I was wearing and even bought it for themselves
Used to be my signature scent
I layered it with body mists that had similar notes
overall 8/10

babystarlet

Not sure if it was because the tester at Ulta was basically empty but I sprayed this and smelled nothing and not in the watery way but in I smelled no discernible notes my brain basically blanked the second I smelled it so I know I need to give this one a second chance

bowievida

I tested this at a Sephora, once just my smelling the bottle, I thought the top notes smelt great but I went a second time and sprayed on my skin and the dry down for me was so sharp and acrid like a lemon scented cleaning product

Keonaaa

Versace yellow diamond IS THAT GIRL! One of my all time favorites for spring and summer. I just feel so girly and pretty when I wear this. No, it doesn’t have the best longevity but I don’t care. I just re spray every 3-4 hours if needed. This is lovely wearing to bed also.

Fatima1219

My son bought this for me last Mother's Day. He read my mind because this fragrance was on my blind-buy list! I like this! I've worn it a few times. It is slightly-lemony, slightly-floral, and slightly-fresh and clean. Perfect for those times you need a pick me up! This is good year round because it is ultra feminine and chic. This fragrance is not bold, but rather subtle. Though, it is not a skin-scent and has decent longevity...this one, I like to layer. Today, I layered Bath and Body Works Sun-Washed Citrus with Versace Yellow Diamond--to amp up the lemon notes. These two fragrances work magically together. Today, is a cold, snowy day in Chicago--pretty dreary--so the extra lemon from Sun-Washed Citrus will come in handy. I wore this combination to work. I will be running errands, and joining a friend for an early dinner later. This fragrance will be re-applied several times because I am a over sprayer, lol. There is a soapy element in this fragrance combination that I love. It resembles Joy dish soap--wonderful! Versace Yellow Diamond is a safe blind-buy!

cats_eye

Love this. It's a soft floral with musk and wood notes. It reminds me of Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo. It lasts longer than you think.

anna222

Light citrus white floral scent. Smells nice and is probably wearable for any occasion. A good summer fragrance as the citruses are more fresh than sweet.

XOXO_marcel

I like a lot of Versace fragrances, but I'm not crazy about this one. It isn't bad, but it just doesn't do it for me. It's a lightly citrusy floral, appropriate for all occasions and probably best for daytime wear in the summer. It would probably be a safe gift and it would be an easy reach for picnics, brunches, vacations, and walks in the park. Out of this whole collection, this one has my favorite bottle; the yellow glass is truly lovely.
I think, however, that unless this is your absolute favorite perfume, you can find suitable alternatives at a cheaper price point.

AttePatte

ADORE!!
It's very addictive and I find myself wanting to smell it all the time. Once I woken up and felt the urge to smell it haha.

You smell the citrus, pear and mimosa. Also a bit like the flower of a yellow water lily.
You'd believe it's groumand, but I'd say not at all!

Not too sweet, definately more fresh and clean.

One of my favorite perfumes, inoffensive and a crowd pleaser. My mom loves this scent on me and she is usually the one to complain about my perfumes - but not this one.

The perfect occasion to wear this would be during a sunny day, when you're on holiday. Will of course bring Yellow Diamond with me next time I travel.

Pinkmilktea85

Ahhhh my favorite summer perfume! I usually don't like citrusy notes but this one! This one is done right! Everything is blended so well, just a perfect floral citrusy scent, not cloying at all and you just smell fresh and elegant. I don't know why some people say that this smells cheap and basic, I don't think this smells cheap/basic at all! I can totally imagine a classy woman wearing this. The only downside that I find is the lasting power, it only lasts around 4-5 hours on me but I don't mind that at all. Overall I truly like this and it will stay in my collection forever!

Lydiaclareee

A gorgeous yellow floral/ citrus scent. To me this is a more interesting version of Versace bright crystal. It’s a super versatile day to day scent perfect for spring summer

Stimul

Now this is something wearable. Spray and go and you are ready to hit the day and all occasions along. Maybe not the scent of your life but surely a decent and somehow successful choice. Worths it.

Also it is not listed but I sense a trail of violettes in just the right tiny amount. Maybe I mistake it with some of the flowers in the pyramid.

I join the club of the haters for the ugly bottle cap. But this is Versace so visual excess is a norm 😉

Need to review the old and new shower Gel. (With some new info.) I have both versions, one in the Vintage box for the original packaging, and the 2022 shower gel in the same generic yellow design used for the reformulated and repackaged toilette. Honestly there is little to no difference when it comes to the shower gels.

I just finished off my last technically vintage EDT bottle, I have a new one but won’t be opening and trying out the new reformulation till spring. Like with the new bright crystal, I see they kept the Linilool which was removed from crystal noir when it wasn’t necessary. Sorry I’ll go on and mourn about C Noir till Die.

Ok so yellow diamond is my least favourite fragrance in my entire collection. I have almost everything by Versace literally! For both “main” genders. And as a guy this has to be worn for the right occasion. When I wear it I think of sunshine in a bottle. (2020 batch.) I wear it only in the morning 4-10 am. And not often. The EDP smells like lush moonlight… glamours. You have to be a homosexual like me to pull it off 😂.

Shower Gel

Anyway final and main point. The shower gel is my favorite shower gel (I’m crazy and have shower gels to several Versace scents lined in my shower. 3 versions for Eros.. blue, flame, pour femme) despite not much love for the bottle itself. Can’t say the same about the lotion but my god this shower gel is amazing. It’s like bathing In liquid gold! You could buy this shower gel and not ever need the bottle. Hell when I open that new reformulated bottle sitting in my closet come spring, and it sucks, I’ll still always love this shower gel. Because I have the reformulated shower gel. Yes it’s missing lilial but somehow they kept the scent exactly the same. Something they failed to do with crystal noir’s lotion and shower gel.

Ok I’m done.

AuthenticAF

I wouldnt get this again, i cant really smell much.

V.Norway92

Usually not a big fan of citrus scents, but this is nice. Smells fresh and clean. Good summer scent.

Can’t smell any of the musk. I get basically only citrus and sweetness, with maybe some flowers in the back of it if I smell it long enough.

Will I use the whole bottle? Absolutely. Will I re-purchase? Probably not.

sweetperfumeprincess

This is absolutely divine!

I hate citrus scents. I bought D&G Light Blue without smelling it because everyone loves it and to me it smells putrid.
To me, citrus scents smell sharp, screechy, masculine, and horrid--but this lemon scent is an absolute summer love. Yes, it reminds me very much of Daisy, a perfume I enjoyed fine enough but never obsessed over. This perfume, however, is an obsession.

There is a motherly warmth to Yellow Diamond that makes me feel nurtured and safe. Imagine you are a child and your young, sweet, loving mother washes your favourite towel in a lemon laundry soap. She hangs this towel on the line, where it soaks up all the goodness of the sun, and after you emerge from a freezing cold pool, she places this towel around your shoulders. That is what this perfume smells like. Summer and warmth and love and a fluffy, freshly laundered towel dried in the summer sun.

Is it generic? Sure. But it's so beautiful I hardly think that matters.

There is a softness and a non-cloying sweetness to this perfume that makes it a refreshing treat for teenagers, but there is also a joy and a mature warmth that makes it a sweet treat for mothers and grandmothers too. I could see three generations of women wearing this perfume and it would sparkle on each of them. I could also see someone using this as their daily honeymoon perfume if they traveled to a hot location. It's that romantic.

An insant mood-boost. Sunshine and happiness and sparkling joy in a pretty bottle. Thank you, Versace!

lolarosebloom

this is my mother's favorite fragrance! this evokes beautiful memories of childhood. this is a well done, citrus forward, fruity-floral. quite powdery, but not matronly at all! this is appropriate for all ages, and it possesses a mood-lifting quality. i will always have this in my collection, as aside from the childhood memories, this is a compliment getter no matter where you go and is distinctive! the neroli, orange blossom, pear make this sweet, refreshing, and easy to identify; which is challenging in today's fragrance climate, where perfumes all have the same 4 DNAs. shockingly long lasting for an eau de toilette, with moderate sillage. this is listed in "pretty girl fragrance" videos often and i absolutely agree. signature scent worthy!

DebWT

Beautiful, bright citrus/floral, modern, elegant, much much better than D&G light blue, and not cloying like I find a lot of fragrances are.

Allegoria

Review for YELLOW DIAMOND BODY LOTION:

There is something so beautiful about these light and fresh summer scents in hot weather. The Mimosa and Water Lily lend the acqua freshness with a veil of the sweet Freesia in the background. The body lotion mimics the Parfum well, and helps give more longevity and depth to the spray. While many of the fragrant lotions are a thin crème just for scent, the Versace lotions are thick in comparison and actually seem to moisturizer as well. I like to use this with a variety of similar scents with compatible notes.

Added plus: The white lotion bottle with the ‘yellow crystal lid’ looks lovely sitting behind the yellow crystal spray bottle on a vanity or shelf. Thanks Versace!

Hbblonde

Generic, sharp, uninteresting, headache inducing. Smells cheap.

KrisGreen

Reviewing the 2021 reformulation, I reviewed the original already.

Well gosh darn it this is reformulated too, just looking at the back of the new box. Linilool and lilial are missing from this, like it is in the 2 bright crystals and the crystal noirs.

Yellow diamond intense EDP was the only of the 6 of the crystals that did not contain the banned chemical that changed half of Versace’s formulas and most of everything from Dior. Yellow Diamond Intense is nowhere to be sold other then the grey market and there wasn’t even a need to reformulate it. *Scratches head*

Anyway pertaining to this. Before this reminded me of sunshine in a bottle. This is probably one of my least favorite fragrances in my collection, but Omg… I love that shower gel. LOVE it. It’s like showering in liquid gold. The reformulated shower gel (had lilial) still smells nice, smells golden and less feminine which is good for me!

And as for the EDT, just wow. Is it the Same scent for the most part yes, but I no longer feel like I’m running through a field of daisys and sunflowers. This scent made me feel something. It’s less “flowery” and has a plastic smell, like it just smells synthetic. The powderiness is still there. Horse power is still the same, not watered down.

To many they will think this is weaker but it’s not. The formula isn’t weaker, but the fragrance won’t have a powerful opening like it did. Why? Lilial. It was a major ingredient and it had a “blooming” and “fresh” vibe like when you spray your favorite air freshener. Its in everything (or was) even in my laundry detergent sitting in the basement. For some reason we can still use it wash our clothes.

Now as humans we are bias and think what’s different doesn’t smell good. To someone who never smelled the original… it smells nice but try it before buying a new bottle. Will this be a signature scent for you… hell nah. I used to defend it being so generic because it had a signature Versace DNA and it’s now lost. It smells good but some charm is gone. Nice scent still.

PeachPerfume

Lemony, summertime version of the Versace Crystal sisters (Noir and Bright Crystal), all of which I adore. These aren't crazy complex or mood altering signature scents, but definitely inoffensive crowd pleasers that will make you smile. This one starts out like Starbucks lemon loaf. Clean, gentle lemon, then fades into a fruity musk, where the fresia, water lily and general white flower happiness reign. It's a smile-inducing perfume, certainly for the heat of the summer, and would likely feel out of place in cold winter months (unless you were intentionally wearing it for that "take me to another time/place please" vibe). I LOVE the mimosa in this- it keeps both the lemon and the flowers youthful and effervescent. A great gift or blind buy. I got a mini-bottle version in a Sephora's favorite perfumes kit, and bought the big version of black opium (an all-time fav) with the coupon instead, so it wasn't my favorite of 10 other "safe-bets," but second in line

l_02mx

I had a miniature of this not too long ago and I couldn’t even tell you what this smells like, if that gives you any indication of how plain and unforgettable this scent is. I think bright crystal, crystal noir, and this yellow diamond are all extremely overpriced basic scents (with strong alcohol present in them).

auroramaria

Now this is yhe kind of fragrance that will make you smell beautifully put together, fresh and elegant while being totally modern. It is a typically Versace fragrance,v very Italian, effortless chic. Many Italian women dress classy and wear scents even to go to the groceries store ( of course many will be more casual also) and YD is perfectly bilance to cover all errands. Best in warm weather

mevans

I like this better than the pink versions. The lemon is beautiful, fresh and sweet. The white florals perfectly balance with their own clean quality. This is a great choice for hot summer days. I got some samples and though I usually gravitate to more heavy and gourmand scents, I would buy this one in a full bottle for the warmer weather.

CoCo_05

This fragrance smells feminine, fresh, playful and sunny to me. I love how it remains on the skin and clothes especially durning hot summer days! It gives me that vibe of a summer vacation in my favourite Italy. If you work in a place that you dress more casual and too elegant that's the perfect fragrance.Hardly can be too much for people around you and it just gives that shiny, happy vibe and it usually gets a compliments. I bought yesterday my second bottle and I'm gonna use it for my work fragrance.

Rizza Mae

This is more on the aromatic, Mediterranean then citrusy to me..it reminds me of Giorgio Armani's Aqua di Gio..a blind buy and I like it more than the Bright Crystal. :)

Keonaaa

I’ve had this perfume in my collection for about 2 years now. I have a pretty large collection so I pushed Yellow Diamond to the back. The other night I just picked it up and put it on to go to bed. I woke up to this BEAUTIFUL scent! I’ve been wearing it every day since! I even ordered 2 more bottles since I’ve been spraying the hell out of this 3oz that I have now. This is my new bedtime scent, signature scent and everything in between scent. I absolutely love it. It went from being pushed to the back of my collection to me neglecting the rest of my collection for it. Definitely a favorite of mine.

SmellGoddess

I truly hate this parfume. It smells like really cheap citrus parfume. But maybe its just me, since i read very nice comments. I only used it twice, and i had headaches the whole time. Try it before buying.

oatmilklatte

I've heard a lot of people say this and I completely agree; this perfume smells just like an elevated Daisy by MarcJacobs. Take that as you will. If you enjoyed Daisy then you will definitely like this because it has that same inoffensive and dainty citrus floral scent that Daisy has, but I do wish it was more complex than that. Its not the fragrance for me, but I can see why someone would like it. Definitely a safe blind buy for Daisy lovers.

KindaQuirkee

This is pleasant. Nice and inoffensive. Reminds me of J'adore Dior EDP. It is fresh and clean and lovely. It is however very generic, making it hard to see myself wear it every day as a "signature scent." The citrus is prominent in the initial spray, though after the dry down it becomes nice and floral. This feels like a scent that a normal, basic and well adjusted 20-something girl would wear. It is most certainly not bold.

Edit: Now that I've tried quite a few, I can smell the lemon and fruity/citrus notes, as well as the neroli. Honestly, it's too citrusy for my taste. Not interested in keeping this. I could absolutely find this scent in a lotion at Bath and Body Works, which is a dealbreaker for me.

costumess

I bought this without trying. Cheerful, carefree, sunny scent. Not sophisticated or much complex IMO. I'm not in love, but I also can't say I don't like it. It is just OK for me. I plan to wear it (especially in summer) however I think I won't purchase it again. Also I really don't like the yellow bottle, but don't take it as a minus.

wondervalley666

It's nice, good but not amazing. I bought the EDT because I love Crystal Noir and wanted to try another. It isn't bad, I much prefer it to Bright Crystal (the Pink one). It reminds me of bright crystal but without such strong aquatic notes, and Yellow Diamond feels more like sunshine. I like it, I don't think it will offend anyone. It's warm and simple for summertime. Feels very "clean" and kind of like an expensive soap from a spa, like the other Versace crystal scents. It isn't super unique or impressive. It doesn't feel "transformative" the way I prefer my scents. At first I was underwhelmed, but on the 2nd wear it started to grow on me more.

As with the other Versace crystal perfumes, I can't pick out many distinct notes. It's just sunny and floral, warm and sweet but not sugary or gourmand. I’m not getting a strong pear lemon or anything like a lemon bathroom/kitchen cleaner at all. It’s definitely perfume-y. Grateful about the lack of strong pear as Cloud and a lot of other sugar overdose type younger perfumes have been making pear notes too sickly sweet for me lately. About 20 min in I started getting some Crystal Noir scents, minus the coconut, more daytime sunshine. The florals are gentle and sweet. I get more musky and woodiness in the dry down, but it remains floral-centric.

Personally, I think Dolce & Gabbana's The One is an even more magical summery (but great for all seasons) flower scent in a similar family as this, though The One is richer/deeper and Yellow Diamond is more soapy clean and fresh.

GinCatsBooks

Sunshine and optimism bottled, and I'll keep it short and sweet.

Yellow Diamond is simple to wear and a great easy reach, but despite that, I don't find it boring. The opening is bright and fresh with a burst of crisp pear, lemon and bergamot before being followed with a gorgeous mix of waterlily, mimosa and freesia. The florals during the drydown take on a grassy freshness which evokes the feeling of going for a walk through a wildflower meadow near the coast; the waterlily gives a fresh aqueous undertone which gives that coastal/dewy feeling and keeps things more lively and interesting, after 3 hours the florals settle down to a fresh woody/ambery base. Its simplistic in the way it smells but its one of the most happiest, sunshine-like scents I have ever smelt and owned, it would work so well as a summer signature or even a signature year round, it just radiates positivity and an aura of cleanliness!

Longevity is decent lasting about 6 hours and giving a close bordering on moderate silage, it could easily be worn to work or for more casual/everyday activities, at a push, I think you could dress this one up as well.
Wouldn't say it smells too much like Marc Jacobs Daisy though I would say they do fall into the same carefree and positive catagories.
Would repurchase for sure!

Skinscents4Fusspots

This is straight up lemon washing up liquid to my nose!

RachelLondon

Delicious, edible lemon. Not too sweet. Dries down beautifully into musk. Very moreish.

Szafirowy czar

I don't like this fragranace too much, the first note is too lemomy for me, makes me think if dish soap rather than nice perfume..

CierraEstelle

This is the first perfume I really fell in love with. I definitely get the sunshine, happy vibe from it. One time I walked into a small business, and the cashier (probably in her early-mid 20's) exclaimed, "Omg, you smell so good! What is that??" After I told her the name, she said, "That's like the happiest perfume I've ever smelt!" This perfume gave me my love for Mimosa scent as well. I haven't picked a signature perfume yet, but I've loved this one since 2011 and it's really special to me, so it may be my sig. some day.

libraangel98

I love this perfume! It smells delicious. To me, I feel as if this smells like Versace Eros Pour Femme EDT's much younger little sister. In saying that, it does not have a similar sillage or lasting power as Eros. I find that after an hour I can barely smell Yellow Diamond. However, it is still a beautiful summer daytime scent.

LeSucreRose

Very pretty, basic scent. Light and inoffensive. I wouldn’t wear it much because I prefer somewhat more mature scents that pack a punch, so I’m gifting it to my little girl in her Easter basket. It’s a light, pretty scent suitable for first time fragrance owners and perfect for spring. I don’t think it smells too much like Eros Pour Femme, which I like a whole lot better and which is definitely stronger. Also, I feel like Eros is more of a summer scent. My favorite of Yellow Diamond, Bright Crystal, and Crystal Noir is BY FAR Crystal Noir.

caprig

I cannot wear hardly any fragrances. They turn sour or repulsive on my skin.

I was hesitant to try this as I figured it would be cheap smelling. I was shocked when it hit my skin. After spraying, the magic begins. Every time I wear this I get compliments. It is a beautiful scent that stays on my clothes a long time afterward. It smells bright but sophisticated.

For reference here are some of the only scents I can wear successfully
Donna Karan Black Cashmere
J'Adore L'Absolute
Diorissimo
Tokyomilk Dark Bulletproof
Ungaro Diva
Jessica McClintock
Versace Eros Femme
Ungaro Desnuda

There are a few more I can't remember at the moment, but that is it for now.

pommelo

i was gifted this years ago, and was only 18 then. i didn’t like it then because i thought it was a very standard commercial smell. but now that i’m a grown adult with a perfume hoard i can appreciate the very forward nature of this mimosa. it smells exactly like changi airport, for those of you who’ve been to singapore. it’s not a simple happy sunny smell, it’s more the smell of yellow $$$ and the freedom that that brings. if money had a smell it’d be this. clean, a little bit artificial, and in your face.

Shan101beauty

What i imagine sunshine smells like. This is amazing in summer time on a beautiful sunny day. The epitome of brightness.

RandomPatterned

I've come to the conclusion Versace citrus florals are uplifting and easily wearable for me. Fortunately, this one lasts longer than Versense and Vanitas. I enjoy the Amalfi lemon, amber, and the blend of mimosa with the white florals in this. I'd consider buying a FB after I use up some of my other fresh citrus or tea frags. Putting Versace's Eros Pour Femme on the list to try next.

PerfuMEOW

Why does the dry down smell so badly on my skin?

Anything4talishas

This smells expensive. Another good summer scent that isn't tropical. I love tropical, sweet, warm and spicy scents too. But this is more clean, citrus, breezy summer. Salt Air, sun dried linen, a white wine, and gold jewelry. Good for night time too, if you want to get noticed and smell like money lol. I really love this scent. It's classy but it's noticeable and it's gotten me a lot of compliments. The girl who wears this embodies being "that girl" she's bright Crystal out of the city and in the day time on the coast.

jessr777

It’s fine. It’s a pleasant scent, but it smells kinda dated and generic like a lot of popular perfumes from the ‘00s.

sondermelon

Edit: I must say that with the coming of spring, this scent really grew on me! Warm weather made the pear (though not the lemon) bloom in a way that elevates this perfume from a drawing to a 3-D sculpture. This is a very solid like.

I thought I'd like this more since it's reviewed as a very young and fresh floral. Plus it has pear (fresh pears smell awesome to me, an accurate scent of this would be mouthwatering), lemon (love lemon, smells super clean), freesia (BBW freesia body mist was a signature for a long time), and musk (I'm told this smells nice on me).

It is very floral and fresh. I do like it. But something about it feels missing to me, mostly the pear, which I don't get a lot of. It's not as fruity as I'd like so it's not like Daisy Love eau so Sweet or Chanel Chance eau so Tendre to me in terms of being a scent I love. It's kind of generic, but not in a bad way, and I do really like the watery notes of it. I really like it, but I don't love it, though I thought I would. It's definitely a crowd pleaser. If the pear or lemon read stronger on my skin, it'd be love at first sniff.

Domenica23

It was given to me as a present and I still have the bottle because it is pretty and the mix of all the ingredients is absolutely mine. Of course it is strong, very Italian. If I could I would love a 200 ml EdP bottle without spray (spraying perfume is a waste), and I would like a 500 ml body lotion. Thank you, I will never forget you.😎🎄✨💕

Snowflake8000

I like the fresh lemony smell with this one. Need to spend more time with it.

NFS247

I got a sample of this and I am glad I gave it a chance. At first, I kept sniffing my wrist and I was like, "I don't understand what I am smelling." because the first sniff was like lemon pledge. But after a minute or two, it smelled so amazing. Fresh, feminine and pretty. I like the light floral scent it has because I am not a fan of strong, overpowering perfume. I keep smelling my wrist because it is so good - and original! A lot of perfumes seem so similar to me and this one is definitely unlike any other. I am going to save this for spring I think!

Azisai-

Big time compliment-catcher...I get so many comments from strangers about how good I smell, it's quite flattering.

I got this from work as a tester and I wasn't expecting to like it so much but it really did impress me! Mimosa is a delightful note by itself but I really like it with the zesty lemon! Very fresh-yellow smelling, spring/summer supreme. Optimistic, kinda like a "cheer-up!" type of perfume.

Lasts really long for an EdT, too. Which is something I like about Versace, their EDTs last a surprisingly decent amount of time.

LSAUG

Smells like Joy dish soap upon the 1st spray. Harsh and not inviting. As it dry's down it smells like mimosa scented shampoo. Boring, over priced.

M1tsouko

the flowers and the citrus in this scent make this perfume ethereal. The musk makes this a great skin scent too. When I smell this perfume, I imagine myself in a flower field with an array of yellow florals on a hot summer day. Ideally, yellow diamond is a summer scent, but it can be used for any season and occasion due to how long it lasts; it usually lasts about 4-7 hours.

Gem_7

Smells light and pretty, but definitely generic.

Hunnynpink

I get mostly sweet bright lemon with white floral

Perfumelady88

Nice scent. It lasts a pretty good time too. You can wear this pretty much anywhere. It's not cheap smelling nor "rich and expensive". This is good if you are sick of celebrity scents but don't want to spend $100+ on perfume. It does the job and would be an accent to any perfume collection

mruf1

Love this fragrance for spring and summer. It even lasts a while on my fragrance devouring skin. I used to wear D & G light Blue in summer, but have switched to this.

Kroko

Disapointed my expectations, I expected something like Marc Jacobs Eau so fresh Sunshine that i love, because they both have mimosa note, but it smelled so weird. After an hour I smell dill...

bethjwb

A very light, lemony aquatic floral. Like a lemon mousse and a bouquet of mimosa and freesias. Nice but very uninspiring. So light and non-lasting that I wouldn’t repurchase.

correspondencepersonal

Soft, gentle, light, fresh, pretty, slight hint of lemonade; this is warm - I can see why they would have picked the name and color "yellow" for the bottle. This is a great spring/summer fragrance if you are the type that prefers a softer perfume that is not so strong. Great perfume for teens, those with a youthful essence, or those who do not like to wear a heavy perfume. Would wear well in a theater, office, at school. It is the kind of perfume that you would have to move in close to actually smell. This wears closer - and could be detected with a hug, but doesn't leap out calling attention to itself.

I'm trying this alongside several other favorites in this type of yellow, spring/summer category --
Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom, Lady Million, and the original Juicy. With all of these sprayed, Versace Yellow Diamond presents well. The strength of Yellow Diamond is about 1/2 the strength and silage of the others. This can work to your advantage if you have been told to "cool it" - that your fragrance is a bit overpowering.

Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom is more potent with more silage, more fruity, and a bit brighter on the skin than Versace Yellow Diamond. You smell the individual notes of fruit more with Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom than Versace Yellow Diamond. Yellow Diamond is much closer to the skin and much softer.

Lady Million is much more "detergent" when first sprayed. Versace Yellow Diamonds is lighter, wears closer to the skin with less silage. Lady Million is more of the older sister/mother to Versace Yellow Diamond.

Juicy (the original) wears in the same exact chord as Versace Yellow Diamond, only it is about double the strength with notes that wear more alto. Juicy is more like the older sister of Versace Yellow Diamond. Both are fresh, clean, with a youthful essence.

Oh wow... I'm not usually too high on these types of generic industry releases, but this is really nice! Very bright, uplifting and refreshing. I like the whole lemony-daisy thing it's got going on. Great to spritz on after a shower.

briannadedrew

I really love the scent of this one, and I'm so happy I gave it a chance as a tester because based on the notes, it's something I never would have been drawn to (I'm more of a gourmand scent lover). It's a bright floral, but not a floral that makes you nauseous (which is the reason I usually tend to dislike floral scents). Very clean, pretty, and sophisticated. However, my only complaint is that the longevity is extremely poor. I am hoping this is just because my tester is quite old and I will find when I purchase the full-size that they will have improved upon the formula since.

LMD

I was hoping for a more prominent sweet pear but I don't really get any. On me the fruits are very much in the back seat to the florals, it isn't over citrussy to my nose. The first spray you can tell it's Versace. All the ones I've tried ( Eros, Vanitas, Bright Crystal, Versense) all have the same scent DNA, that kind of fruit and floral opening. The drydown to me is pure clean musky cotton laundry and it lasts and lasts. For an eau de toilette, and a freshie at that, the longevity is amazing. I sprayed neck/chest and inside elbows after my shower, say about 9pm. I could still smell it the next morning. Unfortunately despite the good quality it just doesn't excite me, there is something about it that I'm just not keen on, I can't quite put my finger on it.

rosesblanches

I bought a full 90ml edt off someone for cheap. Beautiful, fresh, sweet, floral, joyful and free. This is like a refreshing iced lemon drink in a flower garden. There is something in it that reminds me of Rose Rush by Paris Hilton, but this is sweeter. Gentle enough for office and classroom, fun enough for a day out.

My partner gave it a straight no. I guess it was too floral? He gave the same response to J'Adore as well. Something in these two really turned him off and I cannot figure out what!

Longevity was ok on skin but a beast on clothes. I sprayed a tee and threw a blouse over it for an online meeting. The scent transferred to the blouse and stayed for days! Of course, the tee is scenting up the whole laundry basket.

For some reason all this time I’ve been Anti Versace Crystal whatever perfume. I think I sniffed one years and years ago and for some reason decided they were all gross. But OMG what a treasure this one is! It came in a sample box and I decided to randomly try it and I didn’t even get the tester stick to my nose before I was like Holy Shit! I need a bottle immediately. It smells so fresh and bright and youthful and fun. Makes me want to go out and be adventurous. They blended these specific fruits and florals so damn perfectly. It’s an instant happy go lucky mood boost after taking a sniff. And that’s coming from someone whose been really depressed for 4 years so I definitely think that’s an amazing thing.

It reminds me of another perfume I had when I was younger. I kinda want to say Nollie? But I haven’t smelled that in like 10 years so I don’t know for sure. Anyone know? Message me.

PrincessAriel

When I first smelled this, I think my pupils dilated 2 mm. I could not put it down. I just kept sniffing it. I then ordered a trial size which I'm currently using, but now I think I'll buy the full bottle. This perfume has so much mass appeal. It just grabs your limbic system and instantly makes you feel happier. It's like an instant rush of dopamine for me. It is bright, clean, citrusy (bergamot and maybe a lemon zest?) but grounded by a musky amber-y scent that I can't place. The notes rotate throughout the day. Someone else said they liked how the notes "play musical chairs" throughout the day, and that is a very apt description. I do have to say that straight out of the bottle it is sharp, and maybe too green? But when that fades (which for me was within a few seconds), the dry down is dreamy. I just imagine a sparkling ray of sunshine following me when I wear this. It must be the mimosa, maybe the water lily. Nevertheless, It is such a beautiful scent. Perhaps not the most complex, but definitely pleasant and clean, and happiness inducing.

I wore this yesterday and noticed people kept standing closer to me. I want that, after being in a hospital during the pandemic all year, with everyone constantly 6 feet away, I have just missed that human interaction. I want to please people, and my patients, and I think that's why I love this perfume so much. I can see how you could over spray this one, but I bet it would be a perfect perfume for layering if you crave more complexity in a perfume.

Full disclosure: I am a novice to perfume appreciation. I just got into it this year, I think this is because I just had rhinoplasty within this past year, and now I CAN SMELL EVERYTHING. It's a world I've never experienced before, and this ability is just so so pleasing. Never taking my sense of smell for granted again! So glad this beauty is one of the first scents that I was able to truly appreciate as it is affordable, medium lasting, with moderate sillage during the summer.

Amal_lari

This perfume gives you citrus, lemony and powdery scent. It’s so feminine and detergent like. It’s really good fresh, clean and out of the shower perfume during the summer.

I really don’t like summer fragrances due to lack of longevity but I really love this scent, I can’t get enough.

It’s has good staying power maybe 6-7 hours, but I would still have a back up.

Not quite as sweet-floral as Bright Crystal, not quite as clean-unisex as Light Blue, this is somewhere in between. The lemon is prominent but there is absolutely no astringent quality. The color and name are fitting-- bright, luminous, slightly warm. If you like citrus fragrances but struggle with sharpness this may be worth a try.

silviyaperfumes

To me it is a bright, lemony and uplifting scent! It brings smile on my face whenever I wear it. Perfect fragrance for spring/summer daytime, simple and fresh.

italiancandi

For the people pleaser. This perfume is underrated IMO. We have a versatile one here. Dressing up it has a lovely dressy vibe to it and dressing down it will bring comfort to those around you. Wear this to work and people will stand closer to you. I compliment whoever wears this even if it smells different on others there’s some chemistry behind this. A love for me.

realitygreene

Wow, I am pleasantly surprised by this fragrance! I am a big fan of Bright Crystal, but haven't had much luck with other Versace fragrances so I really didn't know what to expect. Although Yellow Diamond is very similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy, I don't find them to be exact dupes of each other. Yellow Diamond is like if Daisy and Bright Crystal had a baby. The candied lemon opening is pretty impressive - I am picky with lemon notes and the one in here isn't too synthetic or harsh. The inclusion of mimosa was a great idea because it grounds the lemon and gives the fragrance more of a green and woody note. Good choice of white florals in here too. All in all Yellow Diamond is a wonderful bright and sparkling citrus fragrance with mass appeal. I definitely wouldn't mind owning a bottle at some point!

bel.gravia

A citrus floral with depth, I too can sense some honey, mimosa powderiness. One of a few citrus scents I enjoy. A very prominent lemon, very ripe. If lemons were sweet at the same time, they would smell like this. Should smell truly divine on a holidays in the Southetn parts of Europe, in summer time.

JacquelineRenee

Versace Yellow Diamond- A happy uplifting kind of scent. You get an initial blast of lemon; however, I would say that it has a more candied lemon smell to it. The mimosa is very prevalent in this composition which gives it a warm sort of honeyed vibe. What's super interesting here is the guaiac wood in the base which gives Yellow Diamond an almost rosey base note. This isn't Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. There's something a bit more complex than your average citrusy fragrance. At first, I couldn't put my finger on what made it a bit different, but I really think the mimosa is the star here. Am I in love with Yellow Diamond? No. I am an 'in like.' It's a universally appealing fragrance for a woman that doesn't want to smell like Lemmon Head candy but likes a warm citrusy scent.

CocoLaRue

If you love the smell of Meyer lemons, maybe this will be your thing. There is certainly nothing wrong with it, but it is so light that I can barely smell it. Weak notes of sweet lemon and nothing else. Would have to bathe in it to really experience the fragrance.

Ellik

I agree with DaniBear. First tested this in winter, when it was freezing outside. It felt quite heavy, headache inducing and also there was a strange note. It smelled almost like pickles at McDonalds. Decided to give it a try now when it’s spring and OMG. It’s like a totally different fragrance. Sweet, fresh, warm, sophisticated and amber-y. Can’t stop sniffing myself.

DaniBear1121

I'm glad I waited to review this perfume. This is the best evidence of how performance of a fragrance can vary by season. I was so excited to get this scent because I love freesia, bergamot, neroli. When I tried this on in Winter, it fell flat. It was screechy headache inducing lily musk mess and I was confused and disappointed. Fast forward to Spring, decided to give this another chance, and it's a whole different experience! I get much more of the freesia, bergamot, and neroli now which makes me happy. I'm getting the bright sunny vibes now. Hoping in the summer months I'll get more of the lemon and pear in this, but definitely not a Winter fragrance for me! It's pretty and smells expensive (in warmer weather).

Bluevelvet22

Such a pretty bottle and such a pretty scent. I don't get any lemon at all but a lot of powdery floral with strong freesia overtones. I tend to turn to it if I want an inoffensive scent to wear to work or out to lunch. It seems to vary on me in terms of sillage and longevity. Today it is lasting well and keeps wafting out of my clothes but other days I cant smell it all after thirty minutes. It sometimes reminds me of Nahema by Guerlain but this is much more affordable.

Kkardaper

This is one of my first fragrances as a young woman. It was given to me by my very Italian mother and grandmother, which is no surprise at all because this has a very Mediterranean presence to it. It reminds me of sitting on the Porte-cochère in spring in summer with a slight breeze and birds singing and the flowers blooming. The strongest notes are definitely the bergamot and freesia. It is very elegant and clean, it was a perfect start to my fragrance addiction because of its great price point. I love to layer it with different fragrances. My only problem with it is that it wears off pretty quickly and it doesn't have to power to be noticeable.

isthatreallynecessary

Perhaps I'm just crazy but this was a letdown for me because I don't get lemon! It's a nice enough flowery perfume but boring and not a stand out. It has great projection for about 15 minutes and then it's a skin scent and I need to put my nose to my elbow.

Edit: After trying this in summer I had to change my review. The lemon is present but I couldn't identify it before because it's not sweet or refreshing as I'd expected. I still find the florals to be generic but I'm getting a really nice musk now too, although it can be difficult to smell because the perfume overall is so weak. Try this in the summer to experience all of the notes coming out and be prepared to overspray and reapply. I certainly would not pay full price.

jamir6789

Light airy spring, summer citrus fruity floral. Heavy on the lemon & neroli. Kinda reminds me of unbreakable love minus the fruit.

KylieBooFace

Lemon, but not sweet lemon. Lemon rind sharpness all throughout the composition that reminds me of D&G Light Blue, Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba, Bvlgari Pink Sapphire, etc. I wish there was a word that described the nose-biting sharpness these "citrus" perfumes give me. They are anything but mellow. I feel like some woods can get sharp on me too. Yellow Diamond really smells fresh from a distance, but I can see it giving someone a headache if they pit on too much.. It's not bad, but I was hoping for more of a lemonade vibe without this sharpness. I like Versace Versence so much more, even though the drydown was too sharp for me. I am looking forward to comparing to Eros Pour Femme EDT and maybe Versus. The bottle is still pretty though 😍

3oud

The best perfume so far, elegant and classy but fresh and clean at the same time smell like a high-class rich girl who doesn't look at the price tag while shopping very attractive a well-blended masterpiece, my sad story was when I lost my new bottle while traveling, my mistake I should keep it at home and carry the 5ml size, but I wanted to smell like this every day so now I'm saving for the big boy! 6.7oz bottle, this is breathtaking scent WOW

flyergirl❤️perfumes

There are so many spring-summer perfumes on market.Generally many people use 5-6 of them. And you know the top-seller summertime scents & I noticed that many Youtubers recommend those same perfumes.Such a loop like that...
However this is not well-known,this is like an hidden gem.Mimosa flower is being rarely used in fragrances🌼It absolutely shines in summer time!It evokes hope, happiness like sunshine reminds me bright sunny days😌☀️🌈💛💛with an affordable price..Definitely check this out when the temperature increases...

kandykiller

Id say this smells a whole lot better than the yellow Diamond intense, ive owned both, this is a fresh boring& pleasent scent,i think it would be perfect to wear in spring& sip tea with my Nana in her garden,or a job interview,it can slightly grab attention....very floral& sunny, kind vibe, for me tho theres a note in it i must not like, its still an okay perfume,i just never grabbed this one much& this version smells way better than the intense version...and thats coming from me...who always goes for edp versions in fragrances, but the stronger version intense they intensely wrong, however for yellow diamond this one smells better,i like Versace scents, this one is just okay for me tho. lasts 3hrs

flyingfish90

I just received this. I wanted to love it as much as bright crystal absolut and crystal noir. This is a decided "like". Not love, not hate. It's light, very fresh, pleasant, office safe. But it's a meh fragrance for me. I work in an office and I feel you can wear office friendly fragrances that you still adore and that "wow" you. I also happen to be lucky and work in an office full of women who love perfume as much as I do so we're never worried about strong fragrances but I digress. I will finish my small sample but will not purchase a full bottle. Would recommend this for sunny weather, spring more than anything. I feel like it may disappear in the heat of summer.

Mokingbirdzz

I'm a guy and i peg this as my signature scent cuz of the lemon and how fresh it is for me and my body. Definitely recommend it for anyone who likes it fresh and summery. I even get compliments for this

mkgss

[Finished 1x 90ml bottle. Usage in all year around high humidity tropical climate near sea breeze.] Fresh and sweet scent. You can smell that Versace Crystal range DNA in it. As the bottle represents, it really smells like a rich but fresh yet sweet yellow floral. As I do not enjoy candy like sweet scents too much, it worked well for me. It did not get much compliment, but it is easy on the nose light scent with good silage and longevity considering I've used it in high heat during day time. I would not repurchase as a signature scent, but I've enjoyed it full bottle.

pandita19

A very nice and refreshing citrus floral! I really liked it when I first sniffed it and it reminded me a lot of Marc Jacobs Daisy. Very very similar to that fragrance, in my opinion.

Kim35

I love this fragrance. I find it appealing for the summer, when you want a fresh scent that doesn’t change with sweat. At the beginning it’s floral, but it changes into a sweet musky smell that I like. It’s not a very strong, but it lasts about 3-5 hrs in the Sonoran desert.
( I don’t like strong perfumes)
— es un perfume ligero y fresco. No es fuerte ni pesado, inicia con notas frescas y se adapta muy bien al paso del tiempo y al calor (sudor).

FleurDefendue

Ugh. The citrus opening is pleasant albeit very artificial for me, and you better like mimosa paired with an unpleasantly sharp freesia. I get no musk/woods, lily, etc. This one is pretty bad for Versace in my opinion!

ZB

Sigh... this was a disappointment. I grabbed this one up from Marshall's for a decent price of 31.99 for 1oz. I had heard that this smells like sparkling lemonade and I love the taste and smell of lemon so I decided to finally grab it. However, this starts with a bright lemon note and some background florals to very quickly dry down to a powdery musky base. Im talking QUICK; within 20 mins it is at its base notes. In my honest opinion, just get Marc Jacobs Daisy, that one has always gotten me compliments and people enjoy it.

EDIT: Okay the heat did this one MUCH better! It is a sunny 72 degree day in March and wow it is really sparkling and warm yet refreshing. I enjoy it a lot more. However, make sure you do not spend full price on this as that is not worth it.

Mynotaur

Lovely but not long-lasting. The notes are gorgeous and fresh and delicate. Sigh, better order the INTENSE version...

echurch1979

I believe my verdict is out on the Versace Crystal lines: morose disappointment, clothed with overpriced promises. Every one of them have a dupe that is far better at providing symmetric quality, superior longevity, unweaponized sillage, and are more available, and affordable, for purchase. They aren't cloaked in failure and buyers regret. No (dare I say it), the dupes dominate at cheering hearts, and blasting their counterparts with ample performance and dazzling orchestration. And lucky you, you fabulous reader you! You have surpassed the entitlement phase of my opinion. Now onto the advice column:
Bright Crystal < Burberry Brit Sheer.....Crystal Noir < Montana 80s.....Yellow diamond < virtually anything released every few years by Avon for the last couple of decades. More precisely, Avon Shine. Some DNA is also shared with Marc Jacob's Daisy, which also excels in comparison pricing and modern practicality.
That's it. I want to love you Versace, but you lost your way with these. You're better than that, and so are we.
The end.

sunsetterxx

SO FRESHHHHH
At first sniff it smells like D&G Light Blue but it quickly changes to an even fresher smell that is very similar to Omnia Crystaline which I LOVE!!
Overall, this is a very light, fresh, soft, no sharp edge scent, not too girly or cloying. i can't stand heavy scent and i love it!

Bella B

Another generic and boring floral from Versace...

Malita6623

Versatile. Elegant. Happy scent.

Malita6623

Lovely. Happy scent. Fresh and elegant. Citrics and wood. Versatile, you can wear it day or night, office, outdoors or date.

ansabrew

I really like this fragrance but it has zero staying power on me. It doesn't matter how much unscented lotion I apply first, I cannot get this scent to stick at all. Given the price and that designer, I find it very disappointing.

Essellee

This is a tentative like for me, in the sense that I don't hate it. But I can't smell any of the listed notes on my skin. Except for perhaps the wood. Barely any citrus, which is a shame. I'll probably try layering this with a different perfume to try and get more use out of it!

Andie33

This a gorgeous scent. Definitely needs hot weather to shine. A fresh citrusy opening, which turns into a pretty green/floral, and - the best part - a sexy, warm, woody dry down. It smells very clean from beginning to end. It leaves a trail behind you for people to compliment you on, and you only need three sprays to last you the whole day or night. All in all, it's a cheery sunny fragrance which wraps you up in a comforting yellow aura.

AreZta

Me encanta éste perfume.

martinezalanezi

I am not a huge fan of citrus fragrances, however, I am a fan of the Versace crystal line. I mostly collect niche, but for some reason the crystal line always gets me compliments. I would categorize yellow diamond (as well as Bright Crystal and Crystal Noir) as fruity florals. Again, normally not "my thing" but I decided to collect them all because they're easy daily reaches, they get me tons of compliments, and for some reason Versace fragrances have good longevity on my skin. I can't say the same regarding longevity with many other (and more expensive) fragrances. For some reason, my body tends to absorb fragrances and they won't last past 1 hour, so matter how strong they are. These last about 3 hours on me (which is like saying 7-8 hours for a normal person). I like this particular fragrance because I can detect the woody base even from the first spray. Lemon and other citrusy fragrances do not have longevity on me, but I feel that the jasmine, woody and musk base work well in giving the fragrance a bit of elegance beyond the basic citrus body splash (that tend to smell "Lysol-ish"). It's not a favorite as I still find it to be an unoriginal blend, but I am glad it's part of my Versace crystal collection. It's a fun collection to have that gets compliments.

Coquita

YD is a very likable perfume, where mimosa is the star of the show, accompanied by the sweetness of pears and the freshness of neroli and lemons. I get a bit of lotus too, which makes it appropriate for hot, damp summers. The fragrance doesn't have much projection, which makes it office-friendly, but it does last a long time (12 h on my skin). It's the most sparkling diamond from Versace I've tested so far, and though it doesn't smell original at all, I'll add it to my rotation to get some of those uplifting vibes during the day.

7/10

Cameo Autumn Noelle

My Auntie Dora owns it and I love the smell!

meemee00

I now enjoy this perfume more than I did before, it smells like lemon peel oil and some muskiness. I can't call this a light bright smell, but a very clean one for sure.Even a little masculine. I bought this trying to find a new favorite next to my kenzo summer. This was something so very different I was shocked, it reminds me of my uncles house, it smells like this for over 35 years. My guess it is some waxy lemon polish. I will not buy a large bottle again, but a tiny one if I ever want to re-visit.

MayaBehati

It reminds me of Garnier hair products.

bintTapputi

I wanted to like this. This is a very bright, fresh fragrance that begs to be loved. But the longer I let the fragrance linger under my nose the more it smells like Lysol, which honestly isn't that bad but just not something I want to smell like. 5/10

Liene

Yellow Diamond is a feel-good fragrance and so sparkling to a point it would not perform to its full potential in autumn, winter or a strict office environment. Definitely lounging, having fun with friends chatting and enjoying food and refreshments or just spending summer in a place near the sea where never gets super hot and humid is where Yellow Diamond belongs.

Mimosa performs marvelously throughout the wear. Yellow Diamond opens with slightly sweet and powdery citrus being very luminous and sparkling. Later it turns more floral, slightly spicy yet bright and fresh (I guess freesia and water lily comes into play) with noticeable pear note; drydown on the skin is powdery, soft woody and still luminous. It is sweet, but the sweetness comes purely from florals.
Staying power on the skin is up to nine hours, however moderate sillage lasts for up to three hours.

Must try for those who want floral spring/summer scent which is not accompanied by aquatic, watery/cucumbery or sweet berry notes, don't mind sweet scents but usually don't like sticky sweetness and don't mind mimosa. I find Yellow Diamond rather unique - sparklingly fresh and grounded at the same time.

highbymybay

Not your typical women fragrance. Aromatic. And green, very green. Longevity is great, sillage is soft.

Eternity Girl

Ive already left a review for Yellow Diamond but today I bought myself a new bottle as I had runout and seriously this perfume is glorious. Its the essence of bright sunny cheerfulness.

The lemon is intense followed by mimosa and other glorious flowers. As time goes by it retains the lemon which is surprising as citrus normally fades after the opening. My skin chemistry ramps practically every perfume to a ultra sweet level which I personally love so perfumes with moderate sweetness amp up into a frosted sugar state. Yellow Diamond becomes a sweet lemon mimosa sorbet and is in my all time Top Five List and I can't be without it.

And the packaging is divine. From the box to the gorgeous bottle.

Its a massive love for me. Thank you Versace. Such a joyful scent.

JustSimpleThings

On me this smells like Dove/Nivea handcream - that's all I'm getting :( I guess it must be the mimosa note? Reminds me of marigold, which is a common ingredient in handcreams. Not for me

DarkDamsel

I love Versace Yellow Diamond! Makes me feel like I’m in a meadow on a beautiful sunny day! It’s floral-fruity, airy and light, not overpowering. It’s lovely at first spray and has a delicious smelling dry down. May not be the same for you but Yellow Diamond agrees beautifully with my skin chemistry, one of my favorites :) Makes me feel like I sparkle! I love the pretty bottle with the oversized yellow jewel cut top!

dollusions

I have to agree those that did not like the scent. There was nothing alluring or enticing about it whatsoever from first spray to dry down. In fact, I agree with those who said it smelled like an old scent. It reminds me of something from decades past but I can't put my finger on what exactly. I just didn't like it, and gave it away.

burberryboy

boring. comparable to a 10 year old body fantasy citrus floral scent that has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust. overpriced, ugly packaging, and highly disappointing.

Paigiedoo

This fragrance is beautiful! The second time I smelled it in Ulta (after I purchased, but before opening the box), I wasn’t so sure I really liked it. I tested it one more time before wearing, and I loved it. When I first sprayed it on my wrists, it smelled like someone I had smelled before, making me think that it’s a generic scent. I love the citrus/ floral balance in this juice. I wasn’t expecting for this one to have any sort of longevity since it’s a citrus scent, but as I’m typing this 10 hours after spraying, although faint, I can still smell it on my wrist. I’m so glad I am able to enjoy this scent before the cold weather hits and it’ll have to be retired and I’m definitely loving this one!

A Reflection of the Heart

The gorgeous bottle and perfume name perfectly match the fragrance. It's bright, fresh, and elegant and conveys optimism and joy. Like Chance Eau Tendre and Daisy, this is a lovely scent for any spring or summer occasion, whether it's a just-for-you day out or a wedding. I go to weddings all the time and need to stay fresh, focused, and on my game. This has become a go-to for wilt-proofing on the days in the 80s and 90s. I like it more than I even expected to and highly recommend.

BillieNG

The perfume that co-worker of ours (we all have at least one of this kind) is always wearing, because she simply doesn't know what to wear and honestly doesn't give a whit about scents. Diluted, impersonal, offensively quiet fragrance.

livefromtexas

This was a gift from a dear friend and I found it an easy but unobjectionable office type fragrance. But OH BOY. It is the one that my husband will consistently comment on. I have no idea what is in this - I regularly wear other citrus/ lemon/ bergamot/ floral / musky blends but dang. Needless to say, I wear it on date night.

Saraviah

I absolutely adore both of the Versace Bright Crystal perfumes (so darn much!) - I figured I would need to give more of their perfumes a try! Unfortunately.. this was a hard miss for me - It did not do well with my body chemistry whatsoever! Upon first spray & for several hours it just smelled like a bar of soap infused with sage. The dry-down turned into soapy yellow flowers. Please do try this fragrance for yourself as it may have just been my skin type. It did last pretty well on me for up to 6 hours but stayed very close to my skin; only getting a few occasional "faint" whiffs of it throughout the day. The dry down is much more decent but I'm not going to invest in perfume that I have to wait several hours before I can enjoy.
