Sisley Eau de 3 by Sisley is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women. Sisley Eau de 3 was launched in 2009. Top notes are Bergamot, Amalfi Lemon, Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Ginger and Osmanthus; base notes are Patchouli, Vetiver, Benzoin, Vanilla and Musk.

Three new fragrances by the house of Sisley have been presented. They are sparkling and simple in their elegance, just like a beautiful summer dress teased by breezes that move its pleats. The fragrances were created as three sisters or three faces of the same woman and they are marked with numbers – 1, 2 and 3.

Sisley Eau de 3 attracts mysteriously with its luminous and cheerful citruses, a mixture of bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit and lemon. A heart provokes with purple ginger, along with osmanthus, while a base encompasses elegant and classy notes of accentuated patchouli, vetiver, benzoin, vanilla and musk.

The flacons are made of glass, with a stopper characteristic of the Sisley brand. The stopper was designed by Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof. All three fragrances are available as 100ml (3, 4 oz) EDP and they arrive on the market in April 2009.

violeteme

Unusual, fresh and moist. Some addition of grass. Citruses that splatter as you cut them. Warm spicy tinge enveloping the whole composition. It is so enjoyable, very tasteful perfume for warmer days. I even want to say almost like a hot summer version of Shalimar. The zest and citrusy side is so similar along with the warming touches of amber in Shalimar and ginger, benzoin in Sisley 3.

ingeneuxo

-Interesting combination.
-Eau de Sisley 3 smells like you deliberately layered two perfumes with very different scent profile. A green scent layered with a light aromatic-fruity-fresh scent (such as Limon Verde from the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria lineup)
-I must say the fruity part smells divine. And the vetiver is soft, nice and calming.
-But yeah, this scent is probably not worth the coin. (-)

*Update*
-Dry-down is primarily vetiver and linear.

I love the fresh ginger-y scent, but I expect this would need serious overspraying to make it have even a little longevity. I only have a small sample so I can't try that.

All the fragrances in this line last literally MINUTES on my skin.
It's crazy to pay that much money for nothing at all.

Mystery Elixir

Wow I unexpectedly really like this. The opening of this was too aggressively citrusy for me. The first 10/15 minutes were uncomfortably akin to mosquito repellent (although with a more green citrus accord instead of straight up citronella). HOWEVER, as it dries down this disappears and the ginger and osmanthus begin to mingle with the citruses and a slight earthy sweetness from the base notes will eventually start to come through to form a lovely scent.

The combination of the citrusy and somewhat herbal essence of this fragrance makes it that when I smell this I feel transported to the rustic kitchen of a old rural homestead in Southern Italy which is surrounded by a lemon orchard. Gorgeous (If you can ignore the slightly abrasive opening).

Sillage is nothing to write home about however and I would class this as intimate to moderate. I would class the longevity as just a little over moderate. In my opinion somewhat overpriced for an Eau de Toilette perhaps

Joys of life

This is really special and refreshing for hot summer weather. It opens up bright and citrusy with a big squeeze of cool lemon, grapefruit and bergamot, super clean and refreshingly tart, with a subdued sweetness. As #3 dries down the spiciness of the ginger comes out, along with the vetiver, and the fragrance warms ever so slightly, as the citrus settles into a silky harmony with benzoin and vanilla, never quite fading. I don’t sense the patchouli.
The drydown smells more floral to me, I only sense the osmanthus at the base of this, as if you have peeled the skin and arrived at the fruit.

This reminds me slightly of Origins Ginger fragrance; it’s half of it... where that one never felt quite complete, this does. My favorite part is that it has the perfect amount of sweetness to be refreshing and adult. Absolutely unisex. The sillage starts out huge and quickly shrinks to skin scent, and the longevity is a bit weak, which I expected from a citrus cologne.
I only liked this in the winter... love it in heat and humidity.

Lemon candy all the way. A short way, though... None the less, it is interesting and fairly strong. On my skin it dances between bubblegummy bergamot and the scent of lemon hard candy - the kind kids see in European pharmacy's, next to the cashier, and beg their parent to get it for them.

I imagine it would be fun to smell on a more serious person.
Unisex, despite the sweatness.

mschanakarn

It's a hint of spiciness from first sniff on my skin and detectable sweet citrus as well. Sisley Eau de 3 left soft silky fruity smell at the dry down. Just lovely for a person who loves green scents.

Tussa

This is nothing i expected based on the top notes and bottle. It is much more serious than that. Forget about tipical citrus scents, this one smells expensive, mature, fresh spicy with a hint of masculinity in it. I love it, but guess it is not safe blind buy. After hours of wearing it left powdery luxury soap track. I like all phases of the dry down, but not so convicted about staying power.

charstone

I have been wearing this off and on for years. I love the ginger note and it sometimes makes me think 'peach pie!' but in a good way. I don't usually like fruity scents at all. It is light and I find it comforting but the staying power is very poor. I am on my second bottle but will not repurchase as I like a perfume that stays with me and it is pricey. Not enough bang for my buck.

raiza1990

The opening is really strong, it may repulse some people. If you are a hardcore fan of citrusy fragrances, you will like Eau de Sisley 3. It is very citrusy, smells expensive and elegant, it is luminous and spicy. It reminded me of Saharienne by Yves Saint Laurent, but Eau de Sisley 3 is more feminine and balanced. And classier too.
It is a high quality fragrance. It is not my cup of tea, because i am not a big fan of citrusy perfumes, but i can't deny it is great. In my opinion, it is the best in this genre.
It smells like the most expensive soap in the entire world.
Is it worth the money they're asking for? Yes, it is. Can you find a cheaper dupe? no, you can't.
I will give it a 10/10, even though, like i said, it is not what i usually go for.

adrienn99

To me, this frag is an equal blend of three aspects: firstly, the fruity aspect (osmanthus and ginger notes), secondly the green/aromatic aspect(vetiver & patchouli) and thirdly the citrusy aspect. The outcome is a blend which I see would make this frag a good all-rounder.
Initially loud but the drydown appears to be close to skin. Might last longer on clothes.
P.S. I do not find the ginger as dominant as other reviers did

GRAF

I was told by the SA that this scent could be unisex. Well it isn't but it's beautiful light & soft scent for warm weather. It could be a Hermes Jardin release, very good scent. Dominabt notes are osmanthus, lemon, mandarine, ginger, mild patchouli and mild vetiver. Performance is low-moderate.

kjana

a nice, not too complucated, classy, fruity scent. i epuld mot call it amazing but ut is good.

Sisley Eau de 3 is my favourite from the trio. They saved the best for last.

This fragrance is the most feminine by far, being much sweeter than Eau de 1 and Eau de 2. Despite its soft sillage, Sisley Eau de 3 wears beautifully on a humid Summer's day and smells positively divine on my skin.

This fragrance opens with bright, sparkling citrus accords, smoothed out with a pleasant ginger note. The dry down is more of a sweet, sheer floral with notes of vanilla and osmanthus. A subtle hint of benzoin also provides a rich, oriental touch.

Once settled Eau de 3 is admittedly quite linear, however, I don't mind this fragrance's lack of complexity. If I were to purchase any of these three scents, my choice would most certainly be Eau de 3 for its unique take on a ginger-citrus blend. I was quite sad when I finished my miniature bottle earlier this morning.

It's unfortunate that they are quite expensive fragrances to obtain as a lot of Sisley scents often are. I will no doubt keep Sisley Eau de 3 in mind for future purchases, however, I won't be buying a full-size bottle anytime soon.

Lishypants

Lovley fresh green ginger scent with a bit of mixed citrus. This is fresh sweet and spicy, but does not last very long. Its got tropical island vibes without being overly fruity. The sweetness makes this more feminine although some say its unisex.

Sisley No 3 is predominantly ginger, lemon & patchouli to my nose. It smells uncomplicated, lovely, & natural - & very refreshing. The ginger really adds a nice kick, which (imo) makes it really stand out from the usual "fresh" citrus type perfumes. I'm wearing it today & I just got a huge compliment :) Longevity is not great on my skin, but it's so lovely I'm not too bothered - it's a "spray liberally & don't worry" kinda thing !! I'm not usually mad about citrus scents, but I will definitely re-buy this one. Also totally unisex & inoffensive, just a great scent for summer.

ANNAFRYS

My numero uno from entire line :) I nkow lounched long time ago... but.... I wont resist...my fav water... of course I respect others.
For some reasons this is created for me its so special...when I have it in myself.

DracheMitch

The dry down has very little citrus. Just a touch of sweetness, not tart or sour. It's very much ginger, osmanthis and vetyver. I'm surprised Sisley classifies any of the Eau de Sisley as only feminine, because they're all so unisex, but this one especially leans masculine. I think it's the spiciness of the ginger (which lately is found in lots of male fragrances). This might be my favourite Sisley fragrance, or a tie with N° 2. It's not a typical fragrance, and people notice.

Arlene-Beatrix

Nice, summery, invigorating orange scent. Light and very fresh, well rounded, not harsh. It smells like a bowl of oranges &lemons, but better! It's very aromatic though.

lemmenkukka

I have worn this since it came on market. I like this a lot! It's ageless, something ancient about it and defenetly elegant, airy and stylish. Some resemblence noted with Mystere de Rochas (my favourite from '80ties) and Coco Mademoiselle. Sort of sweet and sort of dry - maybe thats the reason it's so compelling to me. Sisley is absolute chic!

Waltzing Matilda

This is a delightful fragrance, but sadly the lasting power and sillage are very poor on me. It has a vintage vibe and reminds me of something from the Crabtree & Evelyn line that I smelled years ago and loved. Whatever that was had fleeting presence also. Lovely but too short lived.

ScarlettX

This is a weird one. Some citrus, some ginger and some other weird note. Maybe it's osmanthus, I don't find quite pleasant.
I was hoping something like Eau Tropicale, but that's not nearly it.
The scent is quite weak and barely there.

tredan01

I normalky wear Eau du Soir and love most Sisley scents. Includimg this one which is a wonderful sunny summer fragrance without the heavy florals and sweetness. It has a bit of a soapy, rich smell that gives me a confidence, luxury and style.
If you enjoy Eau du Soir, you will most likely enjoy Sisley 3.

Lana148

Eau de 3 Sisley is spicy-citrus-woody. Ginger really stole the show here. The fragrance is lovely and well composed.
Would recommend to try it before buying.

Today i have purchased a gift set of all three "Eaux" each of 30ml and i am testing nr. 1 and nr.3 on each arm today. If i like any of them much i will go for a bigger 100ml bottle, they are on 50% sale at the moment, so it is a good chance to get them.

The description of "nr.3" on the box says following: "Eaux de Sisley - fresh and creative fantasy. Eau de Sisley 3 - a spicy combination for an unexpected and whimsical fragrance".

Everyone keeps talking about "spicy", even description says so, but i guess my meaning of spicy is something more like in "Opium". To me this "nr.3" is a soft, silky yet fresh fragrance. Sure there is a very dominant ginger note, but then again it is more like "zesty", not spicy at all. Refreshing without the punch in your face. Osmanthus is the second most prominent note to my nose in this fragrance and osmanthus in particualr gives that silky softness to this fragrance. I find this one very much enjoyable and the sillage of "nr.3" is much better than "nr.1" which i am testing today both on different arms. I also get that "peachy" note that everyone is talking about, i wonder which combination of notes produces that? It is even more refreshing than the " nr.1" and i think i have smelled something similar already, just don´t remember what it was. The opening is quite similar to the Krizia´s "My afrika", but only the opening, later it becomes something else.
By far the "nr.3" is the winner in terms of sillage and lasting power opposite "nr.1". I might go for a 100ml bottle.

P.S. This number is nothing unisex or masculine, strictly feminine IMO.

vv1978

This smells fantastic on me but true it is not long lasting, a very vibrant sexy spice to it love love love it! I tried every perfume at the sisley counter and no others there smelled feminine or like anything natural. Most smelled very synthetic and old
No 3 comes close to the first whiff of a star gazer lily which is so fragrant and pleasing to me. Has a very young vibe to it and exotic in a good way as in fresh not powder like at all. I layer this with Jo Malone Orange blossom, to keep it going.
I really wish this stuff lasted more than 2 hours but it does not.

JoeMacchiato

To me, this smells almost identical to Voyage d'Hermes. Really, the resemblance is striking! I wouldn't have been able to tell had I not seen the bottle. Does anyone feel the same?

A 3.4 oz is priced at USD$165( 1.7oz for $100) Since it's only available at the Sisley beauty counter in the department, there's no way to find a discount. I would go for Voyage d'Hermes, which costs way less.

polly golightly

I love the ginger at the top of this fume but unfortunately it become too weak in half an hour. So I have tried it for layering. This gem added to vanilla scents, like Hard Candy for example, gives both freshness and spiciness to sweet fumes making them bereable also in hot weather! Excellent experience!

Wilka

They tested this fragrance on me about 10 days ago, after a "beauty" with Sisley treatment products and I immediately loved it. Though it reminds me of Dupont's Essence Pure, I find it still more elegant. I bought it today and I wore my own sisley 3 today for the first time: it enable me to enjoy a magnificent busy afternoon in winterly Montevideo today.

sjam3295

I absolutely love this perfume. It's my favourite of the 3 Eau de Sisley perfumes. It's not as sharp as 1 and 2; but for me it has perfect combination of the brightness of the ginger, the freshness of the citrus and a beautiful creamy peachy scent which I guess is the osmanthus.

Like Amelie, I was originally disappointed by the staying power but later realised that the peachy dreamy part is what stays - and it's my favourite part!

melanie

Elegant, not even a bit green, nor citrus on me. Ginger is dominant, with a bit of cyclamen, although not mentioned, has a calming effect on me. Disappears within minutes, although should last a lot longer when you take into account that this is a Sisley, but it's L'Eau, so I'm not surprised. The whole composition is softened with a hint of vanilla, which adds a feminine touch to it. Barely sweet, just enough to be pleasant.
edit/ What a surprise! That creamy dry-down is so nice to feel, lasts for hours and is already on my wish list:) I was confused with a slight start, but actually I enjoy it so much wanting more and more. Not so weak, just not loud.

joyofsmell

smells nice light. feels like i am in another country. in some European house.

talnyc

Here is another scent that I truly LOVE!!!! It is a great summer/early fall fragrance. It is clean, but yet complex. I also like mixing it with Sisley #1 for a lighter scent.

birdbrain45

I truly love this scent and having used a 50 ml bottle am about to repurchase (something I do rarely). There is something so refreshing yet comforting in the ginger and hint of apricot or peach. It is short lasting but that means I get to respray and enjoy it all over again. I see this as a unisex fragrance, but then I am not fond of sweet scents anyway.

gypsykitten

To me, this is a spicy, gingered orange. I was pleased that the lemon was very muted and almost undetectable to me. I was looking forward to all of those lovely base notes, but this disappeared before I could enjoy them. I like this scent, but it doesn't last long enough for this price range and I would have to reapply every couple of hours. It doesn't even last on my clothes. What a shame.

Solvita

so nice and interesting at the beginning- so spicy,a lot of ginger,a little sweet. But after 1 hour- only one musk on my skin, which I hate.

silverbutterfly

I had a sample of it, and just to do a review I used it almost all. To me it is overall seems like a pine forest with vanila and citrus sirrounding it.
I asked my husband how do I smell in this perfume, he said: like fruitloop cereal.

zvoncica

I agree with vertigo!
It is spicy, marked ginger and slightly sweet. On my skin citrus notes were not expressed, and I didnt get them on test paper either. Vanilla is also unnoticeable.

Reminds me on country yard. It is pleasant and fresh in a strange way, or better to say somehow natural. Doesnt resemble to any other scent I`ve tested.

Although after first testing I got attracted to it, next time I tried it reassured me and now I think it is boring and nothing special. The lasting power is to short and the sillage
pale.
In one word - disappointment!

vertigo

Sisley Eau de 3

This one is most spicy of the three, and the ginger is very clear from very beginning to the end. It evaporated from the paper quicker than the other two.

The bottles ate very nice. They have colorful (silk?) scarfs over their necks :)
