I’m a bit torn about this scent. I wanted to love this, but because of the limited way I can use it, I have put it into the “like” category.

I had a beautiful Persian friend back in my university days, (over 30 years ago) and she smelt similar to this. She told me that she wore fragrance oils rather than alcohol based fragrances. What ever she wore, it was very similar to this.

As it’s unisex, I’ve tried to wear it a few times, without much success. The only feedback I’ve got was that it was very feminine and didn’t suit me. I gave it to my wife, and sadly she told me that she didn’t really like it. So now I’ve taken it back and use it at home. Nice to spray in a tissue and sniff or a light spray on my wrist.

This projects strongly, and lasts a long time (about 8 hours for me). Fruity, sweet, and at the same time a bit fresh. The caramel note is strong to my nose. It’s gourmand in my opinion. I think this would be wonderful on many women and a few select men. I’m just not built for this scent.

zori

Fresher than expected

Karlo_oss

To keep it short yes this is a great fragrance to me. Maybe because I like this type of scent dna? But it has been a while since I had a fragrance that was this addicting and sure, maybe not for the person below me, but this is a "Compliment getter" unless you have people with different taste. Atleast to my area it is.

devaluxe

I’m going to have to let this macerate and hope for the best. There’s something sharp in it that’s very off putting for me. I can get the apples and a bit of the caramel but it burns my nose on the way there. Not sure what note
it is. Balsam? Iris? I get no patchouli or woods at all. I hope I grow to like this because I had such high hopes for it. I don’t understand how this could be a “compliment getter” as some report.

soulfragrances

powdery, spicy caramel apple. feminine leaning gourmand.

fragrancefanatic212

Incredible performance for the price, the most prominent notes for me are amber and musk it's delicious and quite androgynous. Every time I catch a whiff of it I instantly think, who smells good? Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for something ultra gourmand even though I would say it has aspects of gourmand, or if you aren't a fan of quite warm and heavy fragrances. Though i wouldn't classify it as only a winter scent it might be overpowering in the summer.

Chesu Bowa

Smells like an apple infused sparkling wine that was made in a wood barrel in an ancient desert of Arabia. This is so good, that caramel note is like a smooth vanilla musk almost smoky but still delicate. This fragrance is quite feminine, I would imagine a female sultan wearing this. An Alluring ancient masterpiece. 🍏🍇

itsheragain

After 3 months, my Casablanca has finally matured and I'm starting to wear her more. Before this, she had quite a strong overpowering bitter note maybe patchouli which made it hard for me to appreciate the fragrance. I should also add it is cooler here now so maybe that's why.

I compared Casablanca against Silky Woods and OMG, they're the SAME. Just a few differences, Silky Woods has a more smoky edge, maybe the Oud or tobacco. It's nice, adds depth. And Casablanca has that more syrupy caramel punch compared against silky woods. Otherwise, they smell the same.

In terms of longevity and performance, I feel Casablanca is in favour more just slightly. Lasts long and stays on my skin forever. She's cheaper, stronger, sweeter - what's not to love?

Ray The Juiceman

Right off the bat, this stuff smells great. Really great. I’m a guy and I prefer to wear fruity and sweeter frangrances as opposed to heavy and dark. After reading the positive reviews I had to grab this when I saw it. I wouldn’t say it’s light and refreshing (the box is somewhat deceiving) but it’s not super heavy and is very well balanced imo.

It reminded me of something for men that I couldn’t quite figure out and then it hit me, one of my favorite men’s fragrances of all time. Hanae Mori HM. That stuff is amazing, and Casablanca isn’t redundant because it definitely has its own qualities.

I’m not going to go into depth, since I feel it leans feminine (most of the comments are women), and they’ll do a much better job at describing it than I will. I’m just going to say for the guys that usually smell like a baked good, refreshing drink, or a piece of fruit floating in the ocean, this might be a great addition to the collection. It’s quality and if you don’t have Hanae Mori (also if you like Hanae Mori) it’s a great fragrance. Warm and fruity with caramel and some light woods and musk. It definitely leans feminine to my nose, but I will be wearing this. That’s for sure. Overall.. amazing juice.

I purchased Casablanca last year, and it was way too sweet and cloying. I wore it today and it was the most beautiful blend of notes. Heaven. Wish it lasted longer, but I only did a light spraying.

nakota

I adore this scent and it didn't even have to macerate for me. For some comparisons, I'd say it is very similar to Burberry Goddess - at least on me and in pre-maceration phase - and the same scent profile as JPG La Belle in the drydown. I've already compared Goddess to La Belle in one of my reviews. La Belle is typically fresher all the way long, but still similar enough. I both understand people who voted 'reminds me of' and 'doesn't remind me of' here.

Now I own all three of them, probably it would be wise to let go of at least one, but extremely hard to decide. They are all equally beautiful and have some nuances.

Casablanca is a completely safe blind buy for gourmand lovers and pretty much for everyone. It's sweet and warm but still wearable in warmer seasons.

Querty

This is probably my favorite arabian perfume ever. I think i have 20-30 bottle, both designer like mancera or my Way, Black opium to basically all the hyped like khamrah, the club de nuit Got a bottle that was 8 months old for reference.
To my nose this is a mix of sweet caramel, Apple/bergamot,m with a touch grape Fanta while your stranding in a Wood Cabin in the forest surrounded by Iris flowers. It is Also pretty sweet, which is obviously the caramel. I dont see anyone blind buying this and hating it.
I dont think this is beast mode, people have to be closer to you to smell you. Waiting until the vanilla has developed darker, as longevity is like 6 hours on my skin

Faverinsky

To the reviewer that compares this little gem as a more gourmand version of Silky Woods, bravo! Your nose is on point! Casablanca is a cheaper (let's be honest, it's 1/3 of the price in NZ), longer-lasting, sweeter and more gourmand (strong grape, lingering red sweet apple on my skin) and I'm here for it! Don't get me wrong I love Silky Woods, but this is fabulous dupe that's actually stronger on my skin and it also projects better! I honestly don't get any petrol notes (which were overwhelming in Ansaam Gold and Amethyst, both decluttered!) and the "medicinal" or "band-aid" note I get in Silky Woods (I believe is the oud, and I like it), is quite toned down in Casablanca (I wish it were stronger because I've developed a taste for it). All and all this is a fabulous perfume and my first Swiss Arabian (I have many Lattafa's, Armafs, Al Haramain/Orientica frags), I'm thinking on pulling the plug on Shaghaf Oud... should I???

Caseyxcakes93

My bottle had to macerate nearly a year before I got any other note besides powder. Now I love it. I wouldn’t buy it again though. I had to wait too long to like it.

Nataliemespino

I definitely get the grape and apple in the opening, and then it settles into the sweet caramel scent. However, there is something too musky in this that I dislike, maybe the patchouli or suede - it hits me in the back of the throat and makes it almost too masculine for me. I was expecting a more yummy and gourmand caramel fragrance. The longevity and sillage is definitely beast mode, but I just don’t love it. Many people have said to let this macerate, so I think I will set it aside for a while and see if it improves.

ThePowerfulPetite

To my nose this smells like a more subtle and wearable version of Apple Brandy on the Rocks. Not to take away from the performance of this one, cause it's pretty good, but the Kilian fragrance is beastmode! This one is also more feminine in my opinion. I really like it

Palmierhunter

Maybe I’m insane or I’ve inhaled too much bleach but this smells a lot like kayali vanilla 28 but fruitier, it’s a lovely scent.
Perfume is so subjective because people on here hate it but I adore this fragrance.

MaryBo

All I could smell was burnt rubber! I was really disappointed! Not even the sillage was great!

MSita

I anticipated loving it, but instead, it evokes a similar sensation to “The Two Kings” by oil perfumery—a blend of BR540 and Creed Aventus with added vanilla and suede (similar to Silky Woods)

Blossomlove

This is identical to Qasamat Ebhar so you don't need both. I would say QE has less of that petrol note so if you're like me and you smell a gasoline note sometimes in fragrances, QE has that note in lesser quantity than Casa. Silky Woods also has this gasoline/band-aid smell to it which ruined that fragrance for me. I haven't figured out what it is because in QE all of the notes look pretty safe. I've had my bottle of Casablanca for about two months and the petrol note is still present and because of that note, I don't really reach for it. I will probably end up wearing QE more for this reason (petrol). If you're lucky and don't smell it, both of these fragrances are great and are very wearable year-round. Because of the mild sweetness it's wearable in fall/winter and because of the fruitiness, you can pull it off in Spring/Summer. It's just a very wearable, everyday fragrance that I envision many people liking. Except me. I hate the smell of gasoline.

iuliagabriela

A sweet, syrupy caramel apple pie scent. I also get red grapes in the opening, but after a few minutes it settles to pure caramel goodness. I have a few other similar fragrances, but Casablanca is my favorite and the one which I intend to always have in my collection. Longevity and sillage are great, and even though the price has increased a bit, it's still very affordable and great value for money.

Samasama

Its just so annoyingly good - ugh.
A more flirtaceous, fruitier and durable MBenz Club Black.
Liquid form of Al Haramain Dhabab.
Caramel incarnated.

0h3ricaa

Definitely Unisex, however I’m gifting it to my boyfriend instead because there is something in the background that makes me uncomfortable to wear (maybe the suede or basalm?). This is syrupy, yummy and sweet with the apple and hint of grape mixed with the caramel. There’s a bit of woodiness and a musky undertone. I can’t wait to smell this on my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, however I do NOT wanna smell this on myself 😭

This is definitely sexy and yummy on a man!

Kalimi

Got mine last week--this is beast mode--a beautiful scent. It's a love, love, love !!!!

jadepo21

Niche quality for bargain bin prices! This is a gourmand without being cloyingly sweet, it's spicy without being sharp, it's unisex without being too feminine or masculine. It's got good longevity and sillage. Just an utter delight of a scent for about $35!

4rchangel

this is such a heavenly, sweet scent jesus fucking christ

smelled this right after opening it, and honestly was disappointed (it was a blind buy). let it sit for about a week after spraying it 5-6 times into the sink, then sprayed it onto me, and ohhhhh my god. jesus fuck. if ur not macerating this u r seriously missing out. like seriously. oh my god

the longevity and sillage are insane. my shirt smells of this a week after spraying it, and the drydown is very sweet - i smell caramel and amber the most. initially, its quite fresh, and smells like juicy, sweet red apples, and dries down into said sweet ambery caramel with a hint of musk - think yummy apples drizzled with hot caramel at a winter fair.

have gotten many compliments on this and have only owned it for about a month!! and another plus, its so cheap. and smells glorious. was it risky to blind buy? yes. was it worth it? helllllllll fucking yes

passthecranberrysauce

On my skin it opens with a nice fresh mix of the grape note and the apple note, with a hint of caramel in the background. After about 20 mins all the freshness has disappeared and the caramel note gets amped up to heavy, cloying and nauseating degrees. I cannot really smell any other notes past the caramel.

I tried giving it a few chances, but my nose just cannot stand the heavy caramel scent. It does last a long time, which would be a plus if I liked it. The projection is also insane, so not very office friendly. I gifted it to a friend who likes heavy gourmand scents. She seems to like it!

Dawnya7b

Let me start by saying I love having a big collection and I love that I can wear a different perfume everyday for months and not run out if options, and I do wear a different perfume everyday. Rarely that I wear a perfume twice in two days. With that being said I received Casablanca FOUR days ago, I haven’t worn anything else since we met and fell in love at first sniff. It came in a box with three other blind buys btw. It’s strong and long lasting but I find myself reapplying just to smell those delectable fruits at the opening. I already have a sizable dent in my brand new bottle. I might have to buy another if I keep it up.
Will update in a week or so.

The scent reminded me of vanilla 28 and silky woods they definitely used the same type of vanilla. The fruits are mouth watering. The Apple is like a mix of apple and pear. And grape is more like a grape jam. The caramel is not too dense or overly sweet, in fact it’s got kind of an airiness to it that surprised me. The same airiness that expensive perfumes have. This cost me $25.
I don’t smell suede and I love suede and leather notes but nothing here.
This is a gem and the price oh my goodness! Honestly if I had smelled this first and it was packed and priced at 150 I would have bought it.

vernafleur

I think this perfume is overall very great and I highly recommend it!

At first spray, I had mixed thoughts as I thought it had a very heavy alcohol smell, but that almost immediately dissipated the moment it dried. On my skin within the first few hours I personally got a strong grape smell and it smelled, to me, very fresh and cleanly, with maybe a hint of the suede and caramel. It seemed like a very clean Spring scent at first to me, but the character of the perfume changes as you wear it (explained further below)

When I first sprayed it, I was around several other folks, and people on the other side of the room were absolutely able to smell it so the sillage seems quite powerful, but mellows out over time. I recommend applying it liberally, more than two or three sprays may seem a bit excessive.

After a few hours of wear, at least on my skin, it seemed to have changed quite a bit. It went from smelling fruity and very clean, to almost like a baked apple cake w/o icing, not being overly sweet like many gourmands. The caramel and suede notes absolutely come out the longer I wear it, with the apple and musk coming out as well. I don't get patchouli from this at all, but then again I'm also relatively fond of patchouli.

At least for me, at the beginning of the day it feels like a very presentable perfume, a very nice neutral perfume that's not excessively ambery or gourmand or anything of the sort. As the day progresses, I feel it becomes a more casual perfume and honestly feels more intimate! The ambery caramel baked scent begins to come more to the forefront and it takes on a more mature or sexy characteristic to me.

The scent lasts (at least recognizably to me) for about 10 hours before fading out of much recognition. In the very last hours of wear, the caramel note begins to die back again to me and leave behind a sweet grape/suede/woody(?) smell, which may sound a bit earthy to some, but it honestly just comes across as clean to me. I also recc. shaking the bottle before use, I'm not too sure why, but I always seem to get that very strong alcohol/nail polish smell at first if I don't shake it.

Zipho Hadebe

This perfume is excellent value for money. Great performance (longevity and projection) overall at a relatively low price point.

The fragrance has strong caramel notes which might not be pleasant to those who prefer more ‘masculine’ scents. I’d somewhat agree that it’s a unisex fragrance but I would argue that it leans on the feminine side. I find that I’m conflicted on spraying it on sometimes because of this lol. But I’m yet to regret spraying it on just yet.

I’ve worn it to work and I found that the projection was too strong for an office environment. It don’t help that I’d taken about 4-5 sprays of it before heading into the office. What I took from this is that the silage is quite impressive and that I should be less liberal in applying it in certain spaces.

The following rating scale applies is inspired by a scoring metric proposed by scentfie.com:

1. Quality - 7/10
2. Originality - 6/10
3. Projection (Sillage) - 7/10
4. Longevity - 7/10
5. Versatility - 6/10
6. Value - 8/10
7. Compliment Frequency - 8/10
8. Packaging - 6/10

My overall evaluation comes to 68.8% (55 out of 80). The math doesn’t quite correlate with how I feel about the perfume. It feels like a solid 70% to me. I’d recommend the perfume to you if you don’t mind sweet and seemingly ‘feminine’ scents.

strawberrystar

To me this smells like a version for colder days of Shaghaf Women. I really love that frangrance for spring and summer, so I think I will really enjoy Casablanca for fall and Winter. Casablanca has the same fruitiness as Shaghaf Women to my nose, but with added sweetness, as if you layered Shaghaf with Kayali Vanilla. It is also reminiscent of 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, which smells really similar to Kayali Vanilla to me. I will definitely enjoy casablanca this winter.

gourmandgyaani

Had my eyes on this for a long time and finally got it when a friend came back from Dubai.
and this was a love at first sniff. sweet fresh apple and grapes with lots of caramel and woodsy goodness. the patchouli and iris make it very perfumeyyy and like the other notes keep it gourmand. this is a very perfume perfume. it is truly stunning. sweet and woody and fresh all at once.
the one spray I did on my hand lasted a decent 4-5 hours after which it was a subtle skin scent.
will see how it performs over time but I love this thing. beautiful!

Fragrancewonder

I had to let this fragrance sit for over a year to get the sillage that so many people talked about. Prior to that, it would only last 3-4 hours max and stayed in my scent bubble.

isabellele

I don't get any of the caramel notes in this, it smells like apple shampoo to me :(

TNBrianna13

Smells great but it needs some time to macerate. It kinda reminds me of Silky Woods by Goldman and Banks.

Sarcastica

The longevity is so fleeting, I barely have time to lock on to what this smells like. What I do manage to detect is rather nice. Not mind blowing, but a decent vanilla which could have been a consideration to add to my collection if it wasn't for the longevity issue.

veci

This was an absolute love at first sniff for me. I sniffed the atomiser and I was worried to spray it on in case it doesn't work with my skin chemistry. I normally give the spicy apple pie type of fragrance samples to my husband to use up because there is usually a booziness to those scents I like very much, but I prefer them on him. I think this is what does it for me in this one, it's not boozy at all, a true caramel apple fragrance in my opinion. The juiciness of the apple really makes it wearable for me in all seasons. The longevity is amazing, I can smell it on clothes even after they've been washed.

When I tested Ariana Grande's Mod Vanilla, the opening of that smelled very similar to Casablanca on my skin at first, but the amber really sets them apart in the dry down.

Silvi_pankova

Not a bad fragrance, blind bought because of the good reviews and allegedly being a beast mode fragrance but I had a €7 body mist from Lilly - Paris Vanilla by AQC and it smells almost identical, the leather note is what differs but the sillage and longevity are kind of the same. I will update my review in a month or two to see how it changes, very basic drugstore fruity-vanilla with a hint of leather in the drydown for now.

Update:
It didn’t get any better. Smells bitter, the leather note is somehow sour, I really wanted to love this, gave it a couple of months of wears, I’m giving it away 😞

AdelaH

Give it some time to rest! I was expecting sweet caramel gourmand with rather soft feel of combo of musk and iris, with a hint of fruitiness. Was excited. When the bottle arrived and I sprayed the juice on my wrist.....my stomach turned upside down. The sweetness, the balsamic note and, AND the sticky overpowering lactonic facets were just killing me. Like overeating extra creamy cake with balsamic glaze, and your stomach can't handle that anymore. Yet, I smelled in it, somewhere there, deep down, something so mmmmmmm, so yummy, so feminine, hence I decided to WAIT, let it macerate. After 3 months I gave it another try, during cold rainy day - now we're talking! Sweetness is still fairly strong (and doesn't smell natural whatsoever), but the creamy assets turned into a fluffed, softer and airier frosting. I still am not excited by the balsamic, acidic notes, yet I believe they will go more away with time. 2 - 3 sprays are more than enough! Don't shower in it. The longevity is 10/10, projection 10/10, sillage 10/10. Feminine 100%, very sweet (but wouldn't say teenager sweet, actually the balsamic, I guess, gives it mature aspects), heavy cream with sticky fruity sauce all over it. For me personally it's 6.5/10 in general, but am now positive it will develop into even softer cream with time.

alek17

I'm very disappointed by this perfume. Based on the reviews i was expecting something like Love Apple by Al Rehab or Boum Vanille Sa Pomme d'Amour by Jeanne Arthes, a sweet caramel cinnamon apple but all i can smell is this very cloying balsamic caramel with a fleeting hint of unspecified fruit. The peru balsam is somehow the dominant note along caramel, its christmasy but not in an caramel-apple way but in a stale-caramel-candy kind of way. I let it sit for a month and nothing happened, still straight balsamic caramel.

IzabelaF

It is amazing - caramel apple. In the back I can feel some type of smoke or a shisha vibe. I had it in the closet for around 6 months now and it smells way better then in the beginning. Longevity is great - around 10 hours.

sbheflin

It is by NO MEANS a dupe or sister to Dama Bianca, but it’s a cousin for sure! I’m getting that malted vanilla scent that makes Dama Bianca unique, except Casablanca is more woodsy! Dama Bianca isn’t juvenile by any means but Casablanca is more mature and sultry nonetheless. If you like Dama Bianca in spring and summer, you’ll love Casablanca in the fall and winter.

rene.saller

I know this will be a lot better in a few weeks or months, but it's so great now that I'm not going to put it away. At first I was disappointed because all I got was alcohol and applejuice, but oh my god it develops so nicely on the skin. I could definitely smell the grapes and iris, too, but the warm caramel and ambery notes start to intensify during the drydown, and it really does smell very much like a candied apple or a fresh apple pie. It's not horrifyingly sweet, thanks to the musks and the suede note that I can't pick out as such but is surely contributing to the softened effect. Such a good blind buy, especially since my collection is very much lacking in gourmands.

Update: It must need some more time to macerate because the members of my unofficial perfume club all gave it a thumb's down!

Jacqueline7nt

I wish this was sweet/ cloying. Apple just doesn't work well on my skin. It overpowers all the scents that I would consider to be sweet. It is loved by so many but not for me. I gave mine to my mum. She loves it and it smells better on her.
Casablanca reminds me of Ebhar.

girlieeusername

straight out the box, it smells like nail polish remover :( but i know i have to let it sit awhile before using it. after i spray it in my hair and on my neck, i can barely smell anything 10 minutes after...will report back in a couple weeks to see how if any changes occur.

edit: after letting it sit for over a month, the alcohol smell is gone. can definitely smell the fruitiness and lightness from the cut grapes, and the exact smell of apple cider. lasts 3-4hrs on the skin. great perfume for the price point.

cyclone1391

Much more fruity than I was expecting. Not picking up the caramel. Def prominent grape and apple giving a fizzy white wine kind of vibe. I can see why many women enjoy this but it's a bit cloying on my skin.

suzanne_ronald

Sweet, Fruity CARAMEL-APPLE-GRAPES Scent Punctuated by a Suede Note. In the first couple of minutes before the spray dries, I can feel the sweet apple-grape with a touch of ambroxan. Once the spray dries and the sillage opens up, I get the apple supported by grapes that help elaborate the sweet & fruity facets of apple, and already the suede is swelling through. The apple is nicely done here and not too tart. As it transitions to the heart, a woody-patchouli emerges with an earthy, powdery iris and it's carrot facet. As it's drying down, it sweetens with caramel and the suede-leather note becomes more obvious - built mostly from amber-oud-ambroxan - and helps to contrast the sweetness and supercharge the performance. Overall I get a sweet, fruity caramel-apple-grapes scent punctuated by a suede-ambroxan note, and beast mode performance. I didn't love this initially and found the suede note overpowered the rest, but as other reviewers have mentioned, this got better with age (more than a year) and the notes feel in balance now. This could be worn year-round with careful application, but I would be most likely to wear this in winter.

Contrast to Mercedes Benz Club Black:
These are different, but there are similarities with a super sweet scent punctuated by ambroxan. Casablanca has a more forward fruitiness, while Mercedes Benz Club Black has a more forward vanilla. Both have excellent performance.

Contrast to Noir Toscane/Vanille Raisin La Maison de la Vanille:
These are different, but there are similarities with a sweet grape scent punctuated by suede-leather note (osmanthus' leathery facet in the case of Noir Toscane). Casablanca has a more forward caramel-apple. Both have excellent performance but both required dark storage after first sprays to balance out.

Overall: super sweet caramel-apple-grapes scent punctuated by a suede-ambroxan note that supercharges the performance. For what it is, it's a love for me. Enjoy!

Mauro desjardins

I don’t know why nobody has mention yet the HUGE similarities to pure malt from Thierry mugler , at first you get that sweet sparkling booze and then the grapes , it’s so similar ID assume that not many guys have tried this masterpiece yet !!!

Yazminthefox

I had to let mine sit for a full year before it was caramelly and sweet. At first all I got was crisp apple spritzer vibes and a bit of woodiness. Now it is completely different! I layered it with Escapade Gourmand and the vanilla and caramel are enveloping that beautiful apple now! I’ve gone from hating it to loving it but it has taken a year of macerating to get there!

Kjkoni

Carmelly apple shampoo vibes!!! This is such a versatile scent, almost feels like it shape shifts with the seasons and my mood. In the spring and summer I get a fresh green apple shampoo vibe- while in the fall and winter I feel like a richer caramelized apple shows up! The dry down is a fabulous light and airy vanilla. Such a compliment getter!! If I had to pick a signature scent this would be it, the versatility and quality for such an amazing price is just unbeatable!

Edit: I see this being compared to by Killian’s Angel Share and Goldfield and Banks Silky Woods, and I have had both of those and on my skin and to my nose it is not a dupe for Angel Share at all… but dang does it share some similarities to Silky Woods!

One of my Top 10 for life 💕

nassiesamou

omg beware this is not how people on tik tok describe it at all!! From all the reviews I watched, I was expecting a juicy sweet apple drenched in caramel, but what I got was a crisp, slightly sweet, sparkling wine like prosecco or champagne. I have given it a couple of months to macerate, as everyone suggested, and it's still not that sweet. It's unisex, definitely leaning masculine, as it has a cologne smell to it. I don't hate it, but it is very far from what I was looking for. I have yet to try it in winter though, so maybe it will improve in the colder weather.

Jennyelthomp

As a woman I love woodsy smells but this one is too much like men’s cologne for me. I really liked the opening which had a layer of freshness and sweetness but that disappeared and left just a dark musky smell.

aguila9

A good one.
The supposed white woods are more like dusty old barn planks are very present.
The green apple is great but exits, mostly gone on my skin by the hour mark.
On me it’s heavy vanilla/amber, then barn wood, patch and a hint of suede.

For reference think an amber heavy and darker Eros flanker. It would be absolutely that if the green apple stuck around

Casablanca is a very intoxicating perfume and a must have for cold months! I definitely pick up the sweet caramel-apple and white woods. I do get that patchouli and amber in the background. When patchouli mixes with the right fragrant notes, it turns to a beautiful star anise scent. This is so good and long lasting on the skin! This is going to be a go-to this fall for me!

Allthingssparkle

I think the three words that describe Casablanca for me are: woody caramel apple, in that order. To me, this is very wood forward, and it's made lightly sweet by the caramel, and slight hints of apple. The suede and Peru Balsam add some SLIGHT fall-type spiciness. I'm just glad they didn't use cinnamon, which I appreciate; I can't stand cinnamon in perfumes.

The apple is blended in well, so don't expect this to be an "apple" fragrance. It lingers a bit in the background but as this dries down, it's mostly woody. But when the apple IS discernable, it's not a bright apple, so I wouldn't consider this a fruity fragrance at all. It just adds some crispness in the first hour or so of application.

The woodiness is nice and palatable. It reminds me slightly of CH Good Girl in the woodsiness although GG is a powerhouse and this isn't anywhere NEAR that strong. I had a 1.7 of GG that I sold because it's so strong that the travel size is plenty -- it'll last me forever. I really have to be in the right mood to wear GG, but in contrast, I feel like I could definitely wear Casablanca on a more regular basis.

All in all, I find this to be a comforting woody unisex fragrance...more for evening wear...but could be sweetened up with something else; maybe Vanilla 28, Hundred Silent Ways, or Cheriosa 62 or 71 (not sure which, I haven't tried yet, but they both have caramel).

Littlethingsweetpea

If La Belle had a crap ton of patchouli in it.

fyetan

It's not really a fresh fruity caramel, more like a spicy resinous vanilla/amber with some sugar grape leanings.
Thick, heavy.

ElusiveChanteuse

If you bought this and didn’t like it, let it sit. Mine has been sitting for months and all of a sudden it’s so sweet!

Porsha1021

First spray smells like a open liquor bottle but the dry down I get apple juice and fruity and a slight amber scent. I layer it with Choco Musk it smells better that way.

creamyscents

I'm wondering if some people either have a different sense of smell or if our perfumes smell differently. This perfume is pure spice for me, so much that I actually had to wash it off after 20mins of giving it a chance. Not sure if it would take a while to properly develop into the caramel-apple pie type of scent it's described to be at times. The spicy aspect takes over and actually makes it smell like a men's cologne. Quite disappointed. I see some people said to let it sit for a few months, but I can't justify keeping it with the amount of spice it already has. :(

maxji777

It’s nice, but I can’t see any resemblance to midnight shimmer (one of my favorites) or silky woods

emilia123

I really wanted to like this one, and I don’t hate it, but it wasn’t what I was imagining. Doesn’t really smell apple, and for me grape notes just end up smelling like sugar. I don’t know if it’s the balsam, patchouli, or iris (or all 3), but the dry down is just very incense-y (which is unfortunately common for a lot of Arab perfumes I’ve tried).

Olivegelly

I got it because it was reasonably priced and the idea of caramel apples appealed to me. I would say the amber and musk notes are too strong to really call this a fresh or juicy scent. It's more of a heavy scent, with almost a spicyness and sexiness to it. It's vanilla-y from the caramel note, but it's not a light or fresh vanilla. The vanilla is warm and the caramel note fades into the background. The prominent notes for me are sour fruits and and a musky woodiness. There is *some* green fresh notes but they are not obvious. The contrast in notes makes the smell more complex and interesting than I expected, and reminds me of the type of cologne I usually like on men. The musk is quite strong so I'm surprised to see the votes for it as a mainly feminine smell. To me, it's definetely unisex leaning masculine. The smell reminds me of flavored cigarettes I used to smell outside sometimes when I was a kid. I would imagine a mysterious attractive man smoking cigars, pensive, in a poker club, wearing this. For myself, I'm not sure when I would see myself with this, possibly in winter or on stormy days. It's comforting in a strange way, but more mature and warm than I usually would prefer.

Duration is great. Sillage is average.

I will let it sit for a few weeks and maybe more of the juicy freshness that others described will come out.

sm311214

A very sweet fragrance with a hint of apple and lots of caramel. Longevity is excellent.

KimberMoon

I bought this because I'm a gourmand girl and was sold on gooey caramel apple goodness that this scent is known for. But, for me, the opening on this is really screechy with what I guess is musk. I get the caramel and fruits behind that screechiness, and they are lovely, but not strong enough to compete. I almost wonder if I got a bad batch or something. Not a lot of sweetness. If the background notes were up top instead, I know I would love this. I'm letting it sit for a month or so so that it will hopefully macerate and ripen, allowing those fruity sweet notes to develop. Not bad, but, definitely not a love yet.

Update: After sitting for a month, the sweetness has developed and the musk or whatever was screechy is still present, but not obnoxious. So we're gonna let her sit with the rest of the group since she's learned to behave appropriately. I love Casablanca now. She has morphed into something fruity and cinamonny and delicious and I'm so proud of her. *tears*

Sparkleball22

This one screams “caramel!!!apples!!!” on repeat until I have a headache. It’s something synthetic and weird and loud!!! I have tried to like it and it seems wildly popular so I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I’m tossing the rest of my sample.
I love caramel apples but I guess I need space around them or I can’t breathe.
Swiss Arabian makes some great perfumes but I’m glad I didn’t blind buy based on the YouTube hype this time!!

Smokeandhoney

There isn’t a tart element to the apple nor grape in the top, the fruit here is pleasant at first spray, sweet, slightly caramelised... sometimes I feel I get a little pear in this too? I love the way this dries down and really does shine in the cooler weather and wind. I also tried it on a summer's day with the ocean breeze and it was also very beautiful then, too. The caramel and iris were elevated.

The iris is a stunning supporting note that I feel really brings the composition together, it allows the woods to have a silky and powdery nuance. The woods stay prominent into the dry down where the caramel plays another supporting role for the other notes. It smoothes out the woods and rounds out the fragrance. The Peru balsam is my favourite facet in this perfume along with the suede combined with those wood notes it’s just really quite lovely and smooth, I like how the resin plays with the caramel and musk also. The suede in this is not overly leather like it’s pillowy and plush. This is one of my favourites. I’ve had my bottle for 3 years now, I have around 10/15ml left and it’s deepened a lot over that time. Despite having the apple and grape along with the caramel it really isn’t overripe or toothachingly sweet and sugary—it is quite beautiful, actually. This perfume isn't dessert-like and I don't get creamsicle, I'd say it is woody gourmand with touches of musk. The patchouli grounds this scent and the iris note allows the fragrance to retain an airy quality threading through, its one and only floral note keeps everything within balance. The musk in the dry down is simply lovely. I hate the bottle. I wish they’d scrap that and recreate it but wudeva. I need to get another bottle of this but I just want the perfume inside to be dark apple juice in colour like the one I have now. It’s quite pale in the beginning but well worth waiting for it to deepen up. I wonder if I'd be able to get hold of an older batch...? 🤔 Anyway... really lovely fragrance, my husband loves it too. It's cozy and slightly edgy and quite different to my usual tastes—not incredibly groundbreaking but I actually really like it. In the dry down and what lingers on my skin the most is a dense but sophisticated woody caramel, fluffy musk and a slightly powdery vanilla. Great longevity and creates a gorgeous sillage. I actually think it’s a rather sophisticated and elegant perfume that isn’t as gourmand as what you’d think after reading the description and note pyramid.

EDIT—Swiss Arabian have introduced a Cities line with an extrait concentration of this perfume named “essence of CASABLANCA” and the bottle is just gorgeous! My prayers were answered ✨ (hated the original bottle—although we’re not all about bottles and aesthetic here)…because it’s an extrait, the price is £85 as opposed to the EDP at £42 but you still get 100ml which I think is great. This will be my next purchase I think 🤝 I need another bottle anyway 👀

Chika-G

This is my signature fragrance in the winter! I'd go as far as saying it has been my favourite fragrance for at least a year. It is sweet and caramelly in an elegant way. I do have to slightly overspray to get the sillage, projection and longevity but because it's decently priced, I can't complain too much ❤️

HunnyBunny2204

I loooooooove this perfume. I’ve been wearing it for a week and I cannot stop sniffing myself. It is delicious!

Uh.
I don't understand all noise about this one.
One me: no apple, no caramel, just a masculine cologne. So desappointed.

zigzaga

There is oud in it! I detect a lot of it! It is sweetened by high doses of caramel, so it goes more smoothly. It reminds me of Inara Oud from Swiss Arabian, but there instead of caramel they used vanilla. Inara oud is gorgeous, but doesn't last on me more than 3h (after that time it's a very oudy vanilla skin scent for another hour) and it looks it's the same with Casablanca. I really can't smell apples in here - there is some tartness but it's covered by oud and caramel. So if I could summarise: a tart oudy caramel scent. I wish there was no oud - it would have smelled lovely for spring and summer! The scent really doesn't change much from start to finish.

Edit: second day of wearing it, I now get patchouli quite a lot, but what it does on me is smelling like crayons! So the drydown it is waxy crayons with some spices, but really not much caramel. It doesn't last that well, maybe 4 hours top. And now the 'oud' part seem to be very diluted.

Overall:
Longevity: 6/10
Projection: 6/10
Scent itself: 5/10
Price: 57 EUR for 100ml, fair enough. I'd not pay more than 35 up to 40. So 5/10.

MatchaCat

A lightweight, airy, fresh, green apple and caramel. Very smooth but not complex. I'm not getting any of the other notes. Just these two. Semi-gourmand, inoffensive and easy to wear.

Smell: 7 out of 10
Longevity: 6 out of 10
Feminine

For reference, I'm female.

Sabinaaaa99

I let this sit for a couple of months and it’s such a beautiful scent. I get mostly apples and caramel, definitely strong spillage and long lasting

Mayela#1

Very nice perfume; I like it. However, on me this smells like a body spray, very light, and the longevity is a joke. I sprayed generously around 1:30ish. I am writing this at 3:15PM. It's almost gone. :/
Disappointed, because it is a beautiful fragance.

Edit: Although not listed, there is definitely a oud note lingering after the first spray.

Maryvic

I purchased this based on reviews from folks saying it smelled like grape soda and juicy apples. I have a hard time agreeing with them, but this is not a terrible fragrance by any means. It's actually quite wonderful! It's a unisex scent, but if you're able to detect more of the gourmand notes I could understand a lot of women enjoying this. I can catch a bit of the caramel apple and maybe a hint of grape if I really do my best to focus, but I mostly get that cooling, charcoal-like car freshener dry down that a lot of men's fragrance has. This is something I could spray in my car and be absolutely thrilled with. It's a beautifully smooth and well-balanced fragrance that you can wear on almost any occasion because it's both warm and cool, a little fruity and a little smoky, day or night appropriate.

-- Update: I gave this to my husband and it smells so good on him. He's not big into fragrances but he's test-running this and enjoys it so far! It's a nice alternative to his stronger colognes.

AnjaliK

Apple and grape? I get orange creamsicle smothered in stale ashed out cigarettes. It's had time to macerate. As room spray it smells like a room full of smokers and orange sherbet. One of my blind buy disappointments.

Hcastillo04

I held off on buying this for sooooo long and I finally bit the bullet and omg😍. I love it. Its beautiful & perfectly unisex.

taragsmellzbomb

I wasn’t a fan at first…

But the more it sits, the better. It’s a true juicy, Apple, caramel vibe. I get compliments every single time. I like to layer it with a vanilla scent

IWishIWasLola

Really nice, especially for a more affordable fragrance. I find it comforting and not to sweet.

cococonut

To me, it smells almost identical to La Belle. I'm surprised that there is so many thumbs downs for "reminds me of La Belle".

EvenstarFaerie

The opening is very sweet for this one. It starts off heavy on the apple but upon the dry down, the caramel quickly shines through. It then becomes slightly woodsy and musky, but doesn’t neglect the sweetness of the caramel and apple.

I absolutely love this one! It’s easy to wear and definitely a safe blind buy if you love sweet gourmand fragrances.

Sammbac

A middle Eastern JPG La Belle if La Belle's pear was apple, combined with the caramel and a smokey, incensey, charcoal feel. I love it! Absolutely amazing quality for the price. Cannot fault.

silthrill

This smells like a mix of Black Opium and Kayali's Juicy Apple. Definitely caramel-apple vibes but the apple remains the key player and isn't drowned by the cloying sweetness of the caramel. It's a fresh gourmand. It's fun to wear and men seem to love it 😇

Sweetboy05

Yes! Yes! Yes! I keep sniffing my arm every time I wear this. It smells sooo goood!

PersianPersuasion

I uncharacteristically bought this because of the hype. Apparently my caramel tolerance is limited to Viva La Juicy Gold Couture.

Casablanca made me ILL both times I tried it.
Pass.

NoulaS

I love this one! Sweet caramel apple with a woody undertone. It's very long lasting on me and has a strong sillage. One time at work, I went to the cafeteria to get some food and the lady working there (she was at least 6ft away from me and I was wearing Casablanca for at least 4h already) could not stop complimenting me. She asked me what fragrance it was and wrote it down. When I went to get food again the next day she told me that she had ordered the fragrance immediately when she got home lmao.

Also, this fragrance reminds me a LOT of Silky Woods from Goldfield & Banks. I got a sample of Silky Woods in Demi Rawlings first sample box with Jovoy and I sprayed it on my hand. I immediately recognized it, but couldn't really put my finger on it. Once I realized that it reminded me of Casablanca, I tested them out on both hands. Casablanca opens up sweeter and that sweetness stays for longer, but the drydown is basically the same to my nose. It's SO weird to me tho, that I have never heard any reviewer make this comparison, especially because a lot of people in fragcom own both of them. So I tested them both out again a couple of days ago, and had the same exact experience. I don't know if it's just my nose, but if you want to blind buy Silky Woods and you already own Casablanca, try to get your hands on a sample or decant of Silky Woods first.

Commonscents99

The initial spray is fruity you can definitely smell the grape/apple but the the drydown is caramel and surprisingly very woodsy. It smells like walking into a candy shop making fresh caramel apples during autumn. The patchouli in this gives it a pleasant musky quality. Even if you dislike patchouli it’s light enough that i wouldn’t necessarily pinpoint it unless I read the notes. Overall for the price this perfume is a great value sillage is great, it’s unique enough I can justify my already large gourmand collection.

KumaraScents

The scent profile of Casablanca and Silky Woods are quite similar. Layering it on top of Silky Woods grounds it, gives it a bit more depth and keeps it from getting too sweet.

books.art.dogs

Obligatory "fragrance is subjective", however this smells SO similar to JPG La Belle. Just opening the cap upon arrival, I was like, "La Belle? Hello?"
I will say, I don't think the projection or sillage of Casablanca are as powerful as La Belle, however for the price?? Yes, please. It's really nice to layer with as well.

Admw

Really nice almost appetizing smell. Not heavy enough for my taste and I miss a "perfume smell" about it. Does anyone have any good layering suggestions to make it better?

oluf2287

When you first spray it, it leaves a very fruity, grape and apple-like scent. When it dries down, it starts to get sweet and caramel-ly, which I love! If you like scents like Angel's Share or any other caramel apple scent, I definitely reccommend this scent.

marekcolapro

Im a man and I love the smell. Its sweet but not sweet in like a stronger with you kinda way, this is more fruity sweet and not strong sweet that the ''man scents'' have. I think thats why most people say its more for women. On my skin its smells fk good very fruity sweet, lasts about 8 hours on my skin and longer on clothes. Women really like this scent aswell, its a compliment getter for me! Got this back in 2019 in Dubai mall Swiss arabian store, 40 Euros for 100ml

Trizzyluxe

This was just ok to me. It’s a little bit more of a skin scent to me, but overall I would say the performance is lackluster. It is better on clothes than on the skin. I don’t get the hints of caramel apple or booziness that everyone else seems to. Instead I get more notes of jasmine and powder. Overall, the mixture is beautiful, just not impressed with performance. I did just get my bottle and it’s winter time. Will let it rest more or try the scent in the spring.

UPDATE: Ok , so still the same review , but every time I wear this people LOVE this. So it must be nose that can’t pick up the sophistication of this scent. Get it if you want some compliments!

Peaches&Cream

Casablanca is a warm green caramel apple that lasts throughout the day. Smells even better on a cold day, I love layering this perfume since it makes it 10x better.

marchat

This is a warm caramel apple scent BUUUUT you have to let it sit. I purchased my bottle last fall, wore it a couple of times and wasn’t very impressed. I did not smell apple at all. I just smelled men’s aftershave. I put it away when spring arrived. When I pulled it out this past fall it smelled so warm and cozy and I cannot stop wearing it. I have used 3/4 of my 100 ml bottle in 3 months. So please, if you buy it, spray it a few times and let it sit for awhile. It’s worth it!!

taragsmellzbomb

Definitely have to let it sit on the dresser for a bit to let it get sweeter and darker, I had to do the same thing with Choco Musk. I like to layer this one with VS Warm Sugar lotion then Kayali 28 or Choco 🔥 It is patchouli overload really reminds me of a sweeter Mancera Instant Crush in initial spray. Once you let it sit on the skin a while the caramel apple peeks through..layer it with Kayali Vanilla or Choco Musk to turn it up and turn off some of the musk. I’d even layer with Le Belle.

Laperfumepatty

Ughhh I hate my body chemistry! :( I totally blind bought this because of the reviews and because a lot of them said that it reminded them of La Belle (which I have and love). I do not get the apple, caramel, sweetness, nothing! On me it leans more masculine....and why does the smell remind me of walking into a car wash? :-/

I wanted to smell like a carnival caramel apple and was so excited to try it, but it will be a no for me :(

LALDN

So Casablanca is essentially a unisex version of La Belle with a more apple caramel centric vibe. It’s softer and smoother, plus a tiny bit less fuzzy in quality. I actually prefer to wear it when I crave La Belle but don’t want to be too sweet depending on what I’m doing. It’s a keeper for me. Very nice quality at a fraction of the price when compared. If your on the fence and you aren’t a huge fan of sweet and sticky this option might be the one for you.

The Smell Of Holidays
The Christmas season includes many occasions to celebrate. It starts with Christmas Eve, then Christmas Day, Boxing Day immediately after Christmas, the last day of the year, New Year's Day, and Epiphany Day, which closes the holiday season. I don't know about you, but I'm an introvert who needs to stop from the holiday hustle and bustle to take a deep breath. So the smells I'm absorbing can do wonders for my body and mind.

Casablanca has an extra sweet, woody, earthy note from blends of various resins, which might impress surrounding people. It opens with an alluring variety of ripe fruit, grapes and sweet apple. There is an overdose of sweetness, and the apple accord is akin to cooked apples topped with caramelised sugar. Then comes sour grape juice, but the sugary apple is predominant. The initial stage is obnoxiously sweet.

Powderiness and woodiness rise from the heart. The dusty orris and the creamy sandalwood dictate the rules, whereas patchouli is tamed and barely detectable. Now the fruitiness on my skin has the same vibe as Boss Bottled EAU DE TOILETTE. Its sweetness is undeniable, intense, and too mighty for me. It's a sweetness that I like a little, and if I overdo it with the application, there is the risk that the fragrance will induce a sense of nausea, headache, and discomfort. The same goes for Boss Bottled, and it is precisely this point of extreme fruity sweetness that unites them. It is the same type of apple as me. It doesn't wait to dry down; that caramel is there immediately.

And finally leads to the base notes of amber and liquid caramel. I catch a deep dose of vanilla with a touch of Peru Balsam, a big hint. The powdery notes lay on top of a musky and balmy bed. My skin intensifies the gourmand facets of amber and caramel, and the latter is very prominent. The dry-down is mainly apple and sticky caramel with a creamy vanillic slant and a hue of smokiness. It is supposed to feature suede, though I don't catch a trace of leatheriness in there.

Casablanca is such a soft, warm, creamy, caramelised scent, so nicely blended, though definitely too sweet, gourmand, and fruity for my tastes. A great fragrance with outstanding performances, though not my cup of tea, not my jam. You really have to have a thing for sweet aromas to appreciate this, and if you're anything like me, you might find this too sweet too. I wouldn't say I like too sweet fruit and gourmand scents. They aren't for me, and after half an hour, I was done and wanted to wash Casablanca off. But I could tolerate it. It is a fragrance for the colder months, fall and winter. It might cloy during the hot days or nights of summer. If you are planning to stay indoors, spray lightly. The projection is average for many hours, and so is the longevity. Nightly wear is more appropriate. Despite my experience, Casablanca is a good scent on a budget.

I'm basing my review and experience on a bottle I've owned since November 2017.

Cherry_Darling

Anyone with a soft spot for vanilla and gourmands will enjoy this. Sweet, but not headache inducing, the tart apple breaks it up. It is very vanilla, very midnight shimmer, but ms has more of a smoky woodsy element that I love. Also the quince there makes it a touch unique. Love this too though, you really can't go wrong with this scent profile in my books. That said it's not really an everyday wear, im sure some will find this scent headache inducingly sweet (not me!) Probably more of a night out with the girls kinda scent than an office one it's very intense.

Kdsosassy

This smells just as I’ve described myself as wanting to smell. I like that it is not incredibly deeply sweet because of the fruit notes and ever so slightly chemically smell to break it up. I also smell a slight powder. This is top tier & perfect if you’re interested in gourmands but don’t want to smell a one dimensional, deep sweetness.

It’s like those caramel apple candy suckers that I used to eat.

Lyric82

The most apparent notes I pick up on, are caramel, non-descript fruity notes, and patchouli. Actually, to merge patchouli is as prominent as the caramel. When I had bought this, I was hoping for caramel apples… and this isn’t that, but it is still enjoyable. I would say though, that you really have to have a fondness for sweet fragrances in order to like this.

I am picking up on similarities that Casablanca shares with Kayali Vanilla 28… hear me out, I don’t think this smells like vanilla 28 at all, but I do think they share the same base of a strong patchouli, and thick sweetness. It’s the same type of patchouli to me. Not really hitting the head shop hippie type… but sharp and kinda scratchy. It comes across as a jagged note to me. I still enjoy it, but if you struggle with Kayali vanilla 28, I think you will struggle with this as well.

The caramel, on the other hand… is smooth and syrupy. It’s a nice juxtaposition to the patchouli presence and I feel like one without the other would be too much. The fruity notes, after the dry down, become more of an hint in the sillage. In fact, I would say that the scent of the sillage is preferable to the scent on the actual skin. It’s softer, and less domineering with its sweetness.

The longevity is fantastic, 6+ hours, with a moderately strong sillage and projection. For me, this is a like, not a love.

PKSMKE

IMO Swiss Arabian perfumes take some getting used to. I often find that the descriptions in the comments on Fragrantica only tell half the story. Does this smell like apples and caramel? Yes, in the silage. When first sprayed I get a chemical oil slick that doesn't smell like much of anything. As it develops the fruit and caramel start to emanate from my skin. When smelled closer to my skin, I smell more of the woods, patchouli and musk. There is no vanilla in the notes, other than the impression of caramel that can seem like a milky vanilla.

Don't take this wrong -- I do like the fragrance but it's not something you should blind buy unless you get a good price and know what to expect from Middle Eastern perfumes.

Di4ever

If you have golden sand by al rehab then you can do without this, they smell alike. I don't hate it but its not want I expected

yeesa_

I have been waiting to get my hands on this and WOW I get it. I own vanilla woods and it reminds me a lot of that perfume just stronger and get more of the suede I believe. Its sweet and fruity super yummy for the colder weather

update: I never found an occasion to wear it too, decluttered

liat

I've been yearning to get this for so long but it was always so expensive and I didn't want to risk it. Lately on a randon November-something sale I found a full bottle for less than $30. I figured it won't get any cheaper than that so I bought it.
Having read all the reviews I had really no idea what to expect but this just blew my mind. I am a 40+ y/o woman. I don't get many things that blow my mind anymore.
This is such a soft, creamy, warm, caramelised scent, so nicely blended. Reminded me of a lighter, more wearable, version of 1270 Frapin. I get caramel and a little patchouli, which I love.
Like many other Swiss Arabian perfumes, it may get very strong so use accordingly.

princesslopez4890

One of the Best inexpensive gourmands I’ve ever had. This fragrance lasts and lasts forever. I literally just repurchased this at jomashop. They have 100ml testers right now for about $25 so I got 2 bottles. Amazon has them new in box for about $50. I get the Apple, the vanilla, the caramel, so well blended. You will get so many compliments and smell like a snack. I love to layer this with my other fragrances for an extra boost of yummyness. Perfect for date night and or holiday gatherings. Ive worn this to work as well. I’m an over sprayer and never had a problem with it being too much but don’t wear this in the heat. This will forever be in my collection as long as I can find it!

saffron spice

Eh its okay i get the caramel but its mostly fruity for me. This is the more tolerable version of JPG la belle. This smells nothing like MK midnight shimmer or golden sand. Idk why so many people were saying this is oud heavy but its really not, I actually wish I could get a lil oud from this.

Update: she's beautiful and noticeable. When layered with vanilla 28 this is chefs kiss!! I do get reminants of MK midnight shimmer but by no means are they dupes, or identical
Rate:solid 8/10

Holy Mother of Pearls!!! Sprayed this once on my hand and it is like a bomb 💣 went off!!!!!!! My closet, my bedroom and part of the hallway got them fumes from Casablanca 😂😂😂😂😂

The first minute smells sharp and obnoxiously sour (the apple note, I presume?). But once it settles, Casablanca smells sorta similar to La Belle by Jean Paul Gaultier: fruity, loud and sweet. Toothache sweet. The dry down has caramel and woods with the fruity note gone way down (as opposed to the opening).

Got my 100 ml bottle for around $30 so it’s not too bad. I like it, it’s not a love though as the projection on this one is far too obnoxious (personally speaking).
I’ll be wearing it this fall/winter season but would I repurchase it? Nah…I like other gourmand perfumes a lot better than this one (Vanilla Woods by the 7 Virtues to name one).

Faellen

I absolutely love this! I mainly get apple, caramel, amber and woods. It does remind me of Al Rehab's Golden Sand, which isn't available as a spray anymore, so I'm thrilled to finally be able to spray a similar fragrance with abandon!
I consider this unisex. Longevity is decent, about 6-8 hours on me but it could last longer, I haven't tested it beyond this time. People within 6 feet of you will be able to smell you but I wouldn't say it fills a room.
There is no oud in this *at all* despite some reviews here.

Trustmeimawriter

To me, this is not unisex. Very feminine and long lasting. I totally do not get the apple but it's a nice fragrance but the amber note was headache inducing for me.

tiffaniday81

I just couldn't get over this sharp smell. I wanted to like it because everyone else did, but it didn't work for me. The apple is what turned me away from it. I couldn't sell it fast enough!!!! I am a gourmand lover, but apple is where I draw the line.

jermany.clark

I just got my two bottles today. Yes, I blind bought two and took a chance lol. I’m glad I did . I immediately sprayed it all over myself! This liquid is sensational!!! It is the perfect marriage of One Direction’s ‘Between Us’ & Britney Spears ‘Fantasy’ perfume. That’s the best way to describe this beauty. You will definitely smell like a pastry (which I love) ! The caramel note is very noticeable to my nose…it makes it smooth & creamy with a masculine woody base added. I’d def recommend. Can’t wait to try it for compliments.

Aisha007

I smell like ice cream today! I like it! She will definitely get a lot of wears from me. Lot's of compliments.

Laoire

This is absolutely gorgeous, I love it. Went through 2 bottles of this in a year. It has very good projection and smells great in autumn months. Need another bottle soon!

Just pulled it out again and I love this!!! Such a caramel juicy apple fragrance. Like the reviewer below this is not a high heat fragrance. Longevity on me is excellent! Sillage is such a delight and definitely follows you! Highly recommended 10/10 Sucha beauty!!!

ash.nguyen6

Only in the cold will you be able to appreciate this sweet, heavy fragrance. It is delicious, but not in the hot heat, be aware!
I’d been impatiently waiting to pull this out since I bought it during summer. It’s finally fall and this fragrance is performing and projecting like no other! My scent bubble of this sweet, drenched caramelized apple fragrance is everything! So delicious 🤤 If you’re a fan of fruity gourmand (with a heavy Arabian twist) please give it a try.
Amazing fragrance, especially for the price. Performance and longevity are top notch.

MaraCorina

I really like this one, I get the apple and the caramel the most. And I get the JPG La Belle in the opening, but then it gets much more caramelized than la belle. Great performance.

V4nilla

This is a FOREVER fragrance. I have a few caramel perfumes in my collection but i find this to be the most true caramel scent out of all of them. People say they smell oud in it and while i do get woody notes, it definitely doesn't smell like oud to me. Best way to but it is a caramel drink with some apple-cinnamon spice or chewy apple toffee. Strong but at the same time soft and super smooth. Sprayed this on my robe when it first got it and for the whole night i kept on going ,,oh my god oh my god it smell so damn good''. If you know the original Shaghaf for women by Swiss Arabian (NOT Shaghaf Oud), then Casablanca is the caramel-woody sister and Shaghaf is the citrusy-fresh sister.

Ceevee963

All I get is straight up oud. No sweetness, no fruitiness, definitely none of the spicy apple pie goodness that sold me on the fragrance in the first place. It's not a bad smelling perfume, but I have a handful of other oud-prominent scents that just smell too similar for me. Going to wait for that dry down to see if my mind changes, but as of right now, I'm not impressed.

Heidi2021

I don't get the apple note, I get pear! I get yummy pear and caramel! Good lastingpower and sillage. This to me is not really unisex, it's much more female! LOVE

Mc1995

It’s nice. The notes look more interesting than it smells to be completely honest, it’s nice. I’m used to Ck Obsession, YSL Opium, Dior Dune, Tom Ford Noir etc. so reading reviews this was ‘deep’ drew me in lol. This is like a 15 year old girls ‘deep’ not to sound like a fragrance snob, it’s a pleasant fragrance. Qualitative bottle. I expected something slightly more opulent. Which is me, not the fragrance. I mean with many synthesized notes(caramel, apple, ‘white woods’ and grapes I should’ve known better) it’s pleasant. The dry down is the nicest part, not sure I’ll keep it. Leans a bit feminine. I’d say it’s a good first ‘deeper’ fragrance for a young person starting their fragrance journey.

taylorcake1

Knowing the notes that I’m drawn to this was a safe blind buy. I was a little tipsy when I pushed “confirm order” (yes, on Amazon)

The next few days and tossed and turned with whether it was a good idea or not.

Friends, IT WAS.

The moment I unboxed Casablanca I was delighted by the faint smell lingering in the box. I like the bottle even though it’s kinda basic, it’s weighty and understated. The juice speaks for its self.

The opening is sharp and fruity on my nose, which I’m not mad at. I let Casablanca take me on her journey. I love patchouli and iris, as well as woodsy notes and I’m here for all of it. Casablanca seamlessly guides you through her experience.

I get caramel and amber as the stars of the base notes. I’m so in love. This is one of my favorite fragrances now. I’ve only had it around a week and I’ve worn her every day.

I love fragrances like Pink Sugar, Decadence, Angel Muse, all the sweet gourmand babes.
Casablanca is a sophisticated take on a gourmand and I am so here for it. It is stunning.

Very long lasting on clothes, on my skin it’s still long lasting too. I feel like I could reapply to skin after 5-6 hours.

I’m so glad I pulled the trigger on buying this after a few drinks. I don’t recommend tipsy blind buying perfume- but girl I’m obsessed.

This will be a rebuy and a staple going forward. I love it so much.

Cottagecoremom

I was so excited for this scent but as soon as I sprayed it all I smelled was JPG La Belle. I really can not stand the amber and musk dry down mixture in fragrances. It is totally off-putting to me. It smells very sour. So as beautiful as all the other notes are in this fragrance this is not something I would ever wear.

AndraLau

Stunning! just really stunning, the opening is fruity and fresh, then it slowly gets more bright and loud but in a good way, you can feel how the caramel and the amber show themselves in the most beautiful way. Projection is a win! super good and a really solid silage. Once it dries is very soft and sort of woody, I love it! easy and safe for blind buy, get it!!!!!! you would not regret it.

Smeegal9

My bottle smells old and rotten, so sad!

Wait for the dry down!…

At first spray I get shampoo vibes. That would be the green apple.
Then the magic happens and the grape and balsamic notes start to develop. And after a few minutes the caramel is detectable. There’s also a beautiful smoky undertone to it which brings it all together. I do understand after smelling the dry down on my skin the ‘sweaty’ smell it gives some people, I think it just depends on your skin chemistry. It’s something beautiful and sensual you could wear day and night. A successful blind buy for me.

soymilky

This is a nice scent! I personally would prefer this on men though.

rosebv

This is a really nice scent. But be aware of counterfeit on Amazon and eBay. But this perfume only at Swiss Arabian. I bought this from Amazon and I was very disappointed and could not understand the hype. However I was in Dubai recently and smelled it again and I fell in love immediately. The one from Amazon was clearly fake and weak. I complained like 3 months later and still got a refund from the seller. The real one is sweet and lasts and is simply gorgeous. Since this perfume is not expensive please buy this directly from Swiss Arabian.

Eveningrose

This is not a safe blind first of all! It is fall/winter scent to my nose . Some people may find this too intense . I enjoy the scent for the grape 🍇 and balsam note . The caramel is also very prominent in here as well. In short, it dries down to a caramel apple🍏. Definitely not a scent for everyone …I think this is an acquired taste . The performance is decent but is not strong and doesn’t project as much as Shagaf Oud!

QueenOfWands19

I enjoy this scent initially: caramel-covered green apples. Gourmand but not heavy. Fruity but not too bright. Then the soapy-notes creep in and eventually overpower the yummy caramel apples. Sadly, this scent is not for me.

ScentBliss555

Casablanca is like Mon Guerlain in the similar journey I took with both of them. Both were difficult to assess at first and were not instantly my favorites. Both are sparkly but heavy scents, both are classy and masculine edge. Great year-round staples and beautiful fragrances.

I wasn't expecting the rollercoaster ride. There is a synthetic apple-caramel on my first smell test which I found offensive only because of how many people seem to love this. A week later, I sampled Angel's Share and it reminded me of Casablanca. It left me with the thought to revisit this again because it definitely felt like I had missed something. Last night on my second try, I sprayed it twice, lightly and further away. The caramel-apple developed between and incredibly masculine base of smoked wood & suede. I was not enjoying this journey. I was appreciating the middle eastern-gourmand scent profile but I was uncomfortable having it emit from me. Yet I kept smelling my wrist time and time again. I woke up this morning and I wasn't able to smell a trace of it anymore. I missed the smoky-suede scent so I sprayed it and layered it. Absolutely not an instant love but the scent profile is beautiful and the projection is nice. It's not eternal or even long-lasting but definitely a little above the norm. This is for the suede & smoky lover. I'm a convert.

scholar1

Berries and woods! Sweet fruit salad of grapes and other red berries, served on a wooden platter…
Very nice! Longevity fades around the 7 hr mark and it goes to a skin scent, but this fragrance is so juicy and yummy!
Reminds me also of Sheik al Faransi from the House of Anthony Marmin slightly.

AuraAngelMuse

The first time I sprayed this on I was blown away by how rich and delicious it smells. For me I get apple juice and caramel and powdery notes. I can see the resemblance to Mancera fragrances, purely for the fact that there's some note in this that smells like the typical Mancera synthetic note that people always talk about. Almost like a tobacco or menthol smell. However, it's super light in this fragrance, thankfully. After a few days of wear I can barely smell that note anymore. Other than that, I don't think it actually smells like Roses Vanille, which I'm happy about because that one isn't a favorite. For me this smells linear throughout the wear, it just becomes more powdery in the dry down. It reminds me of Amo Ferragamo in the dry down a bit. The sillage and longevity are great, not exactly beast mode for me, but close.

Vikkinca

Casablanca is the same scent as Lattafa's Atyaf Gold (unfortunately not listed here on Fragrantica). Thankfully I have both so there is no need for my thinking about back-up bottles just yet😉 Yes, this is a beautiful fragrance - one that is perfectly unisex and sumptuously blended. There is no peach in the perfume pyramid so it must be a combination of the apple, caramel and amber/patchouli (?) that is giving me a smooth, creamy, delectable peach.

It is the only Swiss Arabian I own and easily the best from the House, amongst those I have tested of course. The bottle is one of the most elegant I have in my wardrobe; presentation is high-end, and so is the performance. This gorgeous, delicious, sweet and fruit-forward fragrance will stay at least 12 hours on skin. Half or a third of the price of designers, most of which aren't in Casablanca's league. It is one of the classiest and most exquisite scents around.

CheyWolf

Came across this hidden gem on Youtube and heard it was a fresh juicy caramel apple and knew I had to get my hands on it. The opening of this is fresh, mouth watering, juicy fruits. The apple and grape come off as pear to my nose, maybe the grapes are green? With the notes you expect it to be super sweet which it is but it comes off as more of a fresh sweet probably from the apple. The dry down is my favorite part very creamy, powdery, and woody. The musk, suede, caramel notes mix with my skin chemistry beautifully. Longevity is beyond great at least 8 hours before it becomes a beautiful skin scent. You get the opening for majority of the wear it never truly goes away keeping the freshness alive. Love that it is unisex. This is a top 10 for life in my collection!

kcusick86

Definitely smells of caramel apples. I really like it, but I recommend spraying with a light hand if you’re going to be indoors. It’s a bit much in a hot enclosed space. Still a big fan though, will just apply once next time.

motoheart

Just here to say it's on sale at Jomashop. I ordered a bottle. I thinks it's perfect for Spring.

agentj

Got a sample today, sniffed, and immediately bought a bottle. So much better than most of the scents it's compared to below. I'm excited to have found this!

Update: received my bottle. It's such a lovely, uplifting scent. My only complaint is that the bottle seems a bit cheap and uninspired. The inner cap separated from the outer clear plastic immediately. Other than that it's decently priced and lasts several hours.

victoriabarretta

There is a note in the dry-down that I find so off putting!!!

To my nose it is not nearly as sweet as described by many except for the initial blast which is caramel apple juice. That quickly goes away and it turns into a dry masculine mess.

Strong dislike.

——

Update: okay so I just retried this and I feel like it’s a completely different fragrance. Maybe it needed to be mixed and had settled?

Not sure but this is great! I love the powdery touch along with the sweet. Reminds me a bit of Girl of Now Shine and The Only One with the Carmel/Sweet light powdery combo.

Interesting…powdery apple juice. That wood note is still there at the end so I won’t be repurchasing but the lasting power of this fragrance is amazing.

Chinello23

When I first sprayed it I was not happy. I thought 'what the hell are all of you smelling?' It smelled like a punchy, masculine aftershave affair.

And then it dried down. Gorgeous, creamy vanillic (not a listed note, but I'm getting it) caramel apple goodness. Yum!

Update: My feelings still hold for this fragrance! It's lovely. Really. But I don't think it's very feminine, and will be gifting it to my dad.

stardenise16

Smells very fruity and sweet. I don’t know why but it kinda smells like Roses Vanille from Mancera. I really enjoyed Casablanca and the price is good. I may get a full bottle.

ssamhita

This. This perfume was my undoing. I’d decided that I would put a brake on buying perfumes for the next few months, but then I walked into a perfume store, saw this on the shelf and decided “Well, I’ve read amazing reviews and I’ll just smell it. I don’t have to buy this.”

Love at first sniff has a whole different definition. I couldn’t stop smelling the paper strip. I woke up next morning dreaming of that scent. I knew I had to get it. And I did, mostly because the “1 stock left” banner scared me. I know, sucker that I am.

This is nothing like any of my perfumes. I can’t even compare it to anything. The opening, which lasts insanely long, is all sweet and fresh and mouth watering. I can’t tell one note from the other, really - they are so well blended. The dry down, which comes at least two hours in, is nice and woody and warm. Still mouthwatering. I keep randomly sniffing my bottle over and over again.

As for longevity, all I can say is I sprayed this in the morning and was out for the entire day and when I walked in sometime in the evening, my husband commented on how amazing I smell. And he wasn’t even standing close to me.

KaiKai97

I think I found my new signature scent. I can see myself using this perfume all year round. It is sweet and fruity but not overpowering. The opening is where you get the crisp apple and grapes. The dry down is sweeter and the caramel begins to come out as well as the amber. The fragrance is not to strong or irritating which makes it appropriate for work, but it is still noticeable. The price is affordable so I will be able to use this often or daily and can afford to replace it. I ordered a sample and want to purchase the full bottle but is has been out of stock for a while now :( hopefully they restock soon.

Mysticmiah1970

A creamy caramel apple with light spicy notes.I really smell the juicy green apple in the opening no other fruits it’s sweet as if caramel is drizzled over it sitting in a wood bowl with a smell of suede and musk in the background.it’s really nicely blended tbh nothing is fighting to take centre stage.sweet but not overly sweet I like this

SailorV

Woodsy, leathery apple cake. This is fun and different from other apple gourmands. Instead of relying on the usual wintery spices like cinnamon that are often found in this kind of scent, Casablanca uses soft suede and sharp, slightly bitter, almost oudy wood notes to complement the apple, caramel and sweet vanillic amber. This apple is very juicy and smells more green than red, but doesn't have the unpleasant artificial green apple flavor undertone that can ruin apple fragrances for me. The addition of grapes makes it even fresher. The note smells like crisp green grapes, not like wine or raisins, so it's extremely fruity.
The caramel on the other hand is very warm and feels almost animalic in the drydown, maybe due to the addition of patch and Peru balsam and, of course, the suede. I can sense a very light powdery overlay from the iris, but not much of it.

I think this needs to be sprayed on skin to really show all its facets, on a paper blotter it feels a little flat, but on me it's multidimensional and mouthwatering.

Compared to Nobile La Danza de Libelulle I find Casablanca bolder and rougher, but also much more exciting and not as simple. I don't this they're all that similar.
This is a strong scent that really needs to get scrubbed off if you want to get rid of it, but still very wearable and not too overwhelming, especially in the colder months.

princesslopez4890

This is such a beautiful fragrance that lasts all day. I get the sweetness from the fruits & the vanilla. It’s been very well blended to perfection. I get the same sweet consistency from beginning to end. I’ve purchased this as a 100ml from Amazon for $55. I literally just checked for it as I’m writing this and can’t find it, I hope it’s not discontinued. I’ve layered this with ySL libre, Burberry Brit, lavanilla and rasasi’s Jasmin wisp.

ixarus

I was totally led astray. It was WAY too masculine, to my nose. I can like unisex scents, and even completely masculine colognes, but they need to be fresh or expensive smelling. This is neither. It felt like if you took a cheap heavy fruity cologne and then put a little caramel in, way WAY in the background. This is an oriental/arabian scent first and foremost, then gourmand as a far less prominent secondary aspect. The apple and grape notes just didn't feel juicy or pleasant at all, they were just a little stomach-turny.

Nothing to complain about longevity wise.

If it's caramel/sweetness you crave, and you were drawn to this simply because it's cheap, I'd say be careful (and anyways, the price is increasing insanely now so you can get cheaper caramel scents). If you like your Arabian scants you might get along very well with this, but I don't, so I didn't.

latttiful

Really beautiful cozy. Fruity spicy opening then settles into a toasted marshmallows. I honestly love it. Long lasting as well.

My to go combo rn is Initio Rehab + Casablanca

LemonLane

Adore this! I was expecting a sugar bomb but it's well balanced. The opening is roll your eyes back in your heady juicy apple for me with a touch of caramel. It's fruity and gourmand and absolutely divine. The dry down is much more polite than you would expect with the smallest touch of amber and woods.

bintTapputi

This smells wonderful. Extremely pleasant. There is something rather unique about it, but it's very universally appealing imo. This is the kind of fragrance my husband wishes I wore on a daily basis. It's youthful, innocent, sweet. Apple juice, caramel, musk and a vanillic dry down. Simple, and effective. 8/10

CiCiGourmand

I just got this one today and it is a great scent. I get the bright apple note in the beginning but after that it turns woody and spicy. To me the caramel mixed with the Amber smells like Vanilla. I recommend this fragrance to someone who's tried This Is Her from Zadig Voltaire but maybe felt overwhelmed? I think it's very similar to TIH, minus the chestnut.

Update: I've had this on for three hours and it's still going strong. It's starting to brighten up for me and now I'm getting cinnamon apples. The projection is quite strong because someone asked me what I was wearing in the grocery store. She couldn't tell if it was me or the fresh apples. It was me! ☺️

To me this is what I imagine "This Is Her" would smell like if there were a sheer version. But make no mistake Casablanca is a full bodied fragrance.

lydiadelites

It's been 3.5 hours and I can easily say I understand the hype with this. It's my first time wearing it and I have to be honest and say that I don't get as much apple as I'd hoped - or as much as everyone else says they get. But I do get spice. Not in an incense way, it's so much cleaner. It's soapy spice. I can't believe I even described it as such because I'm not one for soapy scents. But this is fresh - like early morning on a fall day.

I do get a sort of salty component - and I like that too. Sorta like pretzels - so more doughy than just straight up salt. Doughy cinnamon, crispy fresh vibes. Not as gourmand as I imagined it would be either. It's sweet but not sickening. Perhaps sweet and salty? Mmmm...

It's right up my alley - a perfect easy reach that doesn't project madly. It's subtle and unique. Quite a stunner. I'm so glad to make it part of my collection!

Laoire

This reminds me of spiced apple and custard! Its gorgeous and has become one of my favourites. I may not reach for it much in the summer as it may be overpowering, but it is perfect for the autumn.

kerriejo

Blind buy - Initial sniff from the atomizer of a brand new bottle - 7V - Vanilla Woods, which I decluttered so I was worried. Opening on first spray is patchouli strong, it makes sense that it's a heart note. Dry down is gorgeous but I do not get 'caramel apple' from this. I get a fruit & caramel (but they don't make a caramel apple, to me - they seem separate, not well-blended) and a little woodiness - definitely the white woods. It's very nice - wearing it today but I won't repurchase. It's nothing special. It smells a lot like a lovely, basic designer perfume. However, if you're looking for an affordable, and lovely fragrance and these notes hit your hotspots then I'd say it's worth the purchase. Wear time is good - 4-6 hours. Projection is moderate.

Tina905

The first time I tried this I was so not into the opening... it was straight up apple juice and I could not handle it. However, the dry down is where I fell in love.. I guess its worth the wait and for 30$ I can't complain. I will use this primarily for layering.

90sjenconnelly

Absolutely stunning for the price I am obsessed. Manages to be fruity but in a way thats still very sensual and with a lot of depth, its not immature, just effortlessly beautiful. I love it. Perfect signature that could fit any occasion.

AnaMaria97

I completely agree with @Jayznar's review below. I thought I would love this based on comparisons but I sadly did not.
To me this smells like a woman's woody vanilla 20% mixed with men's fruity cologne 80%. My boy friend bought Club de Nuit Intense recently, and smelling them from the bottle side by side there is little difference.
There is a beautiful vanilla in the veryyy drydown of this that stays on clothes but the beginning is too musky and masculine for me.
Not similar to La Belle in my opinion

jayznar

CASABLANCA is an appley CARAMEL MUSK bomb.
🍎 IF U LOVE CARAMEL APPLES OR APPLE JUICE GET THIS🍎
I know oud isn’t listed but I DEF smell it in the dry down and yes it has a similarity to Shaghaf oud! Think caramel apple candle made into a BEAST mode perfume. This perfume CHANGES!

INITIAL FIRST SPRAY: Apple JUICE !
5 Minutes in until 1 hour wear: Caramel Apple BOMB!
1 Hour to 3 Hours in: Caramel warms up into the skin and apple is dissipating.
After 4 hours: Fruity Caramel +Praline Vanilla (from shaghaf oud) + Synthetic Musk

In the dry down, I get wafts of that shaghaf oud sweetness which is soooo weird and interesting. If you don’t know, it is sharp woody metallic-like sweet scent. It comes off VERY unisex in the dry down for sure, possibly leaning masculine.
I totally see this on men & women & non binaries easily. It’s honestly like 55% Masculine 45% Feminine.

I bought this in place of La Belle because of the reviews here. Guysssss… I’m not getting the comparison to be honest. They are similar in the fact that they are thick cooked fruity vanillas and they are both EXTREMELY versatile. I can wear both any season and enjoy how they smell on my skin, but they are different! Caramel Apple Vs Caramelized Pear Pie Both get compliments…
BUT IMO La Belle is wayyyyyy more yummy, and wears better than this.

SummerRose

Blind Buy. First Impression: The apple and grapes together smell quite similar to pear. To my nose, I get a sweet fruity vanilla with a hint of citrus, green notes and woody notes.
IMO it remind me of Le Belle (though I'm not a fan of that perfume) but in a better way. The first fragrance that came to mind when I smelt it and was Valentino Donna Born In Roma. It gives me the same vibe and there's a richest to the caramel which comes across as bourbon vanilla. It also have a slight similarity to By Invitation-Michael Buble though that is a.bit more green on my skin. If you have any of the three I've mentioned, you may like this perfume.

I think this leans feminine on my skin. Longevity and sillage is moderate. It is good value for money, I only paid £30 for 100ml. At the moment, I do like it but I've only just worn it once. So far, I prefer Florence which I think has a bit more character.

Overall 7/10 - a good blind buy!

Pez_Enelrio

Pleasant surprise. Light and sweet dry woody caramel smell. Lasting but not projecting that well. Safe to apply in excess though:)

virna.medina

Loooove this one so much. I tried a 5 ml decant and ended up buying a full bottle. Love the apple caramel, smelled like a warm cinnamon apple pie. very cozy for cooler weather. This is also my bedtime perfume, lasted for a good 8 hours on my skin, at par with La Belle Le Parfum and Armani Si Intense.

Update:
This is currently one of my signature scents (with Armani Si Intense), my husband also love this scent on me.

Adog22

Sweet and soft smell and slight spice on dry down. I’d say it’s very feminine but maybe that’s because it reminds me of a woman’s perfume iv smelled before, I can’t name it though.

Vainillalover

I love this perfume, stay in my clothes forever and is amazing.

YLC629

I'm really impressed by this perfume. I get mostly caramel apple, amber, and a touch of pine. I love pine notes and it makes the fragrance more interesting to me. It's a powerhouse scent that lasts all day which I love.

Becca2122

I love this scent! At first you smell the notes of apples and caramel. I keep smelling myself, it's a smell that makes me addicted. I think it's going to be my signature scent for this winter!

Arber Cami

Man I love this smell. Lovely sweet fragrance, reminds me of 'Paco Rabanne Black XS' but a little fresher. Its on the sweet side , but the apple balances it perfectly. Perfect for fall and winter and even as a clubbing fragrance I would say.

Ella7712

At first I hated this perfume, all I could smell was a lot of patchouli with some sweetness so I put it away in my declutter pile. Recently I decided to try it again and I was quite shocked that it wasn't at all as bad as I remembered. Then I layered it with Cheirosa 71 and....YUMMIE!!! 👌😍 Some perfumes deserves a second chance.

vaiva.nenartavičiūtė

I’m just obsessed with these perfume right now. It’s smells like sunny autumn day. It’s so unique and sexy, sweet, but not too sweet.amazing !

Thegrimmreaderr

I don't get the apple pie thing people are talking about but this perfume is everything I hoped it would be and more. It's caramel-y with a big dose of amber as well. That sweetness is so stunning. I just love it. I'm getting a slight powderiness from the iris and I swear I can smell some florals too like maybe jasmine. I don't get much of the apple at all but it's all good. I love this perfume and it definitely leans feminine IMO. The silage is and longevity are beastmode for sure. This is a major win in my collection and blind buy safe if you like sweet fragrances.

heyheycharles0

This is my honest opinion of my experience on my skin. Bang for your buck? Absolutely! New or exciting? Not so really. Anyways, it opens up just like Vanilla Woods by the 7 virtues which I love and then it becomes a hybrid of Vanilla Woods meets Cruz del Sur II. Yup, remember it is my opinion on how it smells on my skin, there is that milky green mango note that it develops that I have not idea where is coming from. I am a Mula Mula STAN! it is my absolute favorite and in my humble opinion on my skin it doesn’t smell like that at all. Good sillage, duration and overall scent profile.

JamieSmells

It’s a beautiful and warm, perfect for autumn scent. I get lots of the apple when I spray it but eventually it turns more into a woodsy vanilla scent. It’s definitely more approachable than Shaghaf Oud, but the power isn’t as strong. It last forever on clothes and on my skin. The dollar isn’t too crazy.

Update 9/26/22: This is definitely a long lasting fragrance. I sprayed it on around 7:45 am and its almost 5pm and I can still smell it quite strong on me and on my skin. The times I have worn it my sister has asked me what I am wearing as she smelled a vanilla note. I like this perfume and plan to use it this fall quite often :)

Update: this perfume has excellent sillage. My sister and I were at a family gathering outside, at different tables and she could smell me. That’s how strong it is, try it if you love beast mode perfumes.

rosey_nosey

I want to like this more, but it is extremely average to me. I was so excited by the wonderful notes, the sparkling reviews and high ratings. However, I am not as hyped about this as everyone else. The alcohol in the opening of Casablanca is really strong. Once that fades, I get the fruit and caramel. I get a little boozy-ness from the grapes, but it dries down really quickly. The dry down is a slightly sweet, slightly woody scent. It's pleasant and smells a whole lot like vanilla woods by 7 virtues. It lasts on my skin around 6 hours, which is not too bad. It has decent projection. I was really hoping to get more of that caramel apple that some have described. It's way more airy than I expected. I will happily use it up, but will not repurchase once it's gone.

Roxette

The caramel apple pie gourmand scent is real, but it's too cloying with the caramel that somehow turns into a “leather” scent for me. I was excited after smelling the sample, the perfume from the full bottle is somehow…different???

Sweetasgodiva

I am going to try to weigh in on each new scent I get! My holy grail for the end of Oct 21 is Sweetie Aoud or maybe I’ll be more reasonable and go for Spiritueuse Double Vanille Guerlain. With that said, I was expecting the smell of apple pie but instead I was met with a screeching blast of something my unsophisticated noise can’t describe...hold on a sec I am going to spritz some now! Oh, it is a bit better now I might let it sit some more and come back to it! Casablanca opening definitely gives you the apple and grapes. I am going to wait 30 minutes and then concentrate on the dry down.

I have learned some much from this site. It was my fellow perfume addicts who led me to the best blind ever—Love and Crime! There were so many spot on. I also get my luxury niche and designer gourmand recommendations from YouTube videos. Casablanca buy was a You Tube video based on Apple Pie scents. As a true gourmand lover, I don’t like that so many, almost all have a white or yellow floral note! I am a perfume lover with allergies—the irony. Straight gourmands with only caramel, vanilla, coffee, benzoin, cotton candy, fruits, etc are fine! I wonder if there will ever be a gourmand game changer like Angel again in my lifetime! But then again, who wants to smell like everyone else.

Omg I’m absolutely in love with this 😍🥰!!! Another banger from Swiss Arabian after Shaghaf Oud ♡︎! After a ton of contemplation, I’m so glad I finally bit the bullet and blind-bought this after hearing about all the hype. It met every expectation and then some 🥰!

This is a beautiful oriental gourmand fragrance that’s really soothing, warm, and comforting to me. I get a yummy aroma of warm hot apple cider enveloped in a thick layer of sweet caramel. I can’t emphasize enough how delicious it smells 😋 and how warm & cozy it makes me feel, which makes this perfect for autumn and colder weathers.

This perfume leans more feminine to me and I don’t really get much of the smokiness either? However, anyone who doesn’t mind smelling like apple cider can pull this off regardless of gender because it smells just like a cup of hot apple cider with a ton of caramel + sweetness. It’s VERY sweet but not cloying. Imo it’s a pretty soft, cozy and intimate fragrance. I think people around me might be able to smell me if they get up real close, but this isn’t a beast mode projector by any means unlike Shaghaf Oud.

Overall, I LOVE this!!!

I tried Casablanca in the summer and didn't care for it. After revisiting it in the fall, it's completely different. The apple notes aren't artificial, but smell super juicy. The caramel notes are also pleasant, but don't create a sickly sweet smell. It lasts forever on my clothes, but the sillage is not impressive. Still, it's a great everyday scent for cooler months.

Blind bought this bottle. Smells like a mixture of a fruity/cloy women’s perfume and a men’s spicy cologne. Imagine you are at a perfume counter, not in a fancy department store, but the kind that’s in the corner of a strip mall that always smell like cheap knockoff perfumes. It smells perfumy and good, but it’s synthetic and unoriginal.

The dry down is much smoother and warmer. Very long lasting, about 8 hours.

On my skin- 2 time try in 3 months Now that it is getting cooler. Smells like coco madmoiselle. Could be the patchouli, musk in the dry down.

The apple is green and crisp. The grapes smell ripe and juicy on.
Ugh! Such a cosy and yummy scent.
Definitely a full bottle splurge. But let it rest for a week before spraying it.
When I fist got it (in the heat of summer) and sprayed I was so disappointed. But now I love it.

Something about this reminds me of vanilla woods by 7 virtues just slightly mixed with some type of mens cologne when I get whiffs of it I immediately said this smells familiar and then I found it!

Like so many others, I blind ordered Casablanca based on all the rave reviews online, I can only say that this has been a good lesson in not blind purchasing. I was hoping for a fruity, less adolescent gourmand with some woody undertones, but after 2 hrs. of wear, it's just not happening for me. A nondescript fruitiness did open the blend, but it went immediately into a piney scent from the balsam base note. No hint of caramel anywhere. Maybe just my skin, but very disappointing. What saves this from being very masculine on me is the slight sweet patchouli which saves the pine from completely dominating. I think I'll give it to a male friend who might enjoy it more. It doesn't give me a headache, but it sure clears my sinuses! I really wanted it to be a wow, but now I can't wait for the piney scent to disappear.

Pure gourmand, caramel - apple heaven. . .

I love this. I like gourmands, but mostly for cozy nights in or maybe for a sultry date night. It's rare that I find one I feel is suitable for everyday use, however, Casablanca fits the bill! It's definitely sweet, but not sickeningly sweet. The green apple note gives it that sour punch to really balance things out.

I truly cannot get enough of this fragrance. It's been my go - to for after work, when I'm in my comfy clothes just lounging around the house. Once it starts cooling off a bit more where I live, I'll definitely be wearing this beauty more during the day. It makes me think of the fall season, which is my favorite season! I just want to break out my Peacoat and all the scarves!

Longevity is outstanding on my skin, but even more so on clothes and hair. I can spray this and still smell it in my hair days later until I wash it. Sillage is pretty good as well, people will definitely smell you but I don't think it quite fills a room. I can see this being a unisex fragrance, though in my opinion it leans more feminine.

A warm cozy fragrance for the colder days. It reminds me of a walk in a forest in autumn or a christmas tree near a fireplace. The first time I’ve smelled this, I was sold. It also reminds me very strongly of All about Eve by Joop! So it does give me nineties vibes, but it’s still original. The opening is like a splash of fresh green apple which settles down to warm sugary caramel. Smells great on both men and women.

This smells like apple pie with extra nutmeg. This is a nice gourmound scent. Stays on the skin for hours.

My wretched skin chemistry strikes again! I get the sweet apple, the spices, and pencil shavings. If I could ignore the pencil shavings this scent takes me to a fall carnival. Lots of fall fair food such as candied apples, or apple pie, and the bubbly, flirty environment. Truly the perfect autumn scent. Alas, I cannot ignore the pencil shavings so I passed this along to someone who enjoys it more!

Just received my purchase on this fragrance a day ago and I must say the Initial first sniff out of the bottIe ,I was not sure if I was going to like this or not. I was very anxious to try this perfume based on the high ratings that I got off you tube . The scent straight from the bottle was rather strong and complex to me. But I decided to go ahead and spray myself this morning after my shower and I must say after the top notes disapated I was rather impressed with what settled on my skin as a very mysterious beautiful scent that reminded me somewhat of another fragrance that I own named Hot Coutour by Givenchy. This is a fragrance to me that is geared more for fall and winter weather just as the Hot Coutour. So as I wore this today and the perfume began to unfold more and more on my skin I must say I'm really in love with this perfume and will add this to the top of my list to wear for fall and winter.

this is my second swiss arabian perfume. i am now confident in saying i want to buy every single perfume theyve ever made. this is an absolutely stunning not-too-gourmand woody fragrance. i am blown away by its complexity and how a note with such deepness and sophistication as oud can work so well with light fruity notes. the result is an undeniably sexy concoction. the peru balsam makes it mysterious, and i almost get a slightly animalic leather smell that just brings it up sixty notches. wow. absolutely get your hands on this.

Just received this, so I will have to wear it a little to have a full review but upon initial spray I did not get the instant caramel apple that's been talked about. After it dries down a little the apple came through but I was expecting a juicy dominant apple note with caramel and I didn't get that. I did mix it with Moschino I love love and it smells DELICIOUS paired with that. Overall a heavy caramel with slight apple smell to me. Will update review after wearing it a few days on its own.

I can't quite decide what I think about this one yet, I think it's a like / love but I really amn't sure, it's just.... "a lot!" and I am still processing! but I've worn it two days in a row now and I cannot stop sniffing myself lol!

An apple note that I don't care for in the bottle but softens down on skin, with the sweetness of honeyed fruit (almost like pineapple) dancing around alongside a rich, straight-up caramel with a slight "burnt"-ness to it....

Oriental notes like amber, woods and I would swear there's also a spiced rose in here makeup the background, I think this is more of an extremely sweet gourmand-leaning Oriental than a straight-up gourmand imo, it has a lot of complexity.....

If Montale put this in a bottle they'd call it "Toffee Apple Aoudh" and we'd all pay 2x the price.

This is my first time posting anything on Fragrantica. However, I wanted to mention that this smells absolutely fabulous layered with Jo Malone Velvet Rose and Oud after it has settled in. I wasn't quite sure if I liked either enough on its own, but I happened to test both fragrances on my arm and was mesmerized by whiffs of both at the same time. It gives a bright dimension to the deeper oud scent in Velvet Rose and Oud.

gentel

The caramel apple gourmand is real, but it's too cloying with the caramel and it's just too much like food and not suitable for a perfume imo. I can enjoy sweet fragrances like Hawa Swiss Arabian but this one the caramel just hits too hard and it's more like a caramel smell than an attractive scent for a person to wear

Edit: reduced to 1 star, the excessive cloying is making me a bit sick even after scrubbing

Dulcette91

Burnt caramel sugar toffee apple. It’s intense, smoky, sweet and has a hidden dark juiciness I love. Good sillage, too. Lasts 2-3 hours on me, longer on clothes. I really like the uniqueness, I can also see the unisex aspect but the warmth seems unusual to me for a men’s fragrance, so to me it’s more a women’s perfume. I don’t smell the grapes, but the apple, caramel and amber are very strong.

Glamglow

The first time I sprayed it, I could only smell wood.
Almost like pencil shavings! It wasn’t a bad scent but I wasn’t getting anything else.

Now I find it irresistible.
It’s delicious and Not overly gourmand.

sibaraa

Freaking gorgeous. Sweet apples with so many beautiful notes that leave a gorgeous sandalwood trail. I can detect sandalwood eventhough it's not listed in the pyramid.

katheryne_art

This is an incredibly beautiful, complex perfume for the price! It definitely smells like a very expensive perfume! This is so well blended and different. I don't have any other perfume in my collection with the combination of green apple and grapes and this is what makes this perfume so unique! It's of course very oriental too! At first, I found it quite masculine as well, because of the amber, and I absolutely loved it on my boyfriend, but the more I wear it, the more I like it on me too (I usually hate masculine notes on me).
Comparing to Nobile 1942-La Danza Delle Libellule, which opens with a very fresh green apple note, that is also very sweet (but not syrupy sweet) and it's incredibly beautiful too, but the dry down is almost exactly the same as Casablanca, but without the amber in it. I feel like because of that, La Danza Delle Libellule feels fresher! I used to like La Danza Delle Libellule more, but now I absolutely love both of them!

mevans

This is a really good gourmand. It's a rich, creamy sweet along with a musky wood base. Caramel apple doesn't really come to mind when I wear it. There is some apple initially but it settles into a sweet caramel and oud-like scent. Longevity is very good and sillage is about arms length tops. I really like this one. I'd buy another when I run out.

Tamj

The woods in this smells of burnt plastic to my nose. After the burnt smell settles down, I get the fruit and amber-caramel. I've tried to get past the woods note in this to enjoy the apple which is very bright however, burnt plastic is all I get. Not a pleasant one for me.
