While God of Fire is full of the aromachemicals that Erba Pura and Terenzi's house has (I struggle with them), Mango Kiss has it for me. If you don't like orris (a slightly dusty but also buttery one here) or herbal touches proceed with caution as this fragrance is not just mango, these notes are key too and they make the scent innovative and complex. Not as beastly as GOF but the longevity and projection are average on me, 7 hours projecting within arm's lenght so I am totally ok with it. I don't get any synthetic fruit in here which is weird to me as I tend to perceive fruit accords as synthetic/cheap smelling. This mango is made to be worn all year long, best when the weather isn't extremely cold or hot. It is sweet but totally unisex in my opinion, maybe a bit tad feminine if you are a man used to leather and dry woody scents but I see how some women could perceive as a bit masculine due to the herbal quality of the chamomile and the unmistakable orris butter. And yes it is sweet, but not gourmand or extremely sweet... nevertheless the ylang ylang and coconut contribute to the sweetness and even though I am not passionate about these notes, they totally work here. Balsamic accords tend to overwhelm me but the benzoin this fragrance has just helps the vanilla and orris to creathe an intriguing base.I love SDJMK.

I bought a sample and a bottle at the same time. I have used the sample and I cannot get over the chamomile (to me it makes it too "dusty"). So I have a bottle available (still in blister) if somebody is interested (only within Europe).

This opens up with a very buttery mango smell for the first 2 hours, after it the benzoin and vanilla start to become a little bit stronger. Whereas most mango scents are very fresh and made for summer weather, this is not. I'd say the ideal time for this is spring but can easily be worn all year round. I prefer this massively over God of fire, but then again i dislike that fragrance so it really doesn't say much. I would recommend this if it wasn't so massively overpriced. It's good but not great. A price tag of $145 ($245 currently) would be much better. The longevity is about 6-7 hours with a medium projection (which I think is great). I'm getting Xerjoff Naxos vibes, People are calling it either very overrated or the best fragrance of all time. And its neither, another similarity is that it has good quality but also not the best.
Described in 1 sentence: buttery mango for all seasons

Ever drank a mango juice? That's really just what this perfume smells like. Like a mango juice. Pretty good, actually. You can't go wrong with it. I wouldn't say its sillage is particularly strong, but the longevity is insane. Lasts pretty much all day! Definite recommendation.

If you're wanting the mango, I suggest going with this offering as God of Fire is honestly God of Ginger. It is VERY heavy on the ginger and so you should be aware. I know that samples of this brand are pricey and not always in stock so blind buying is sometimes needed. Just know that this is a very life like mango scent and God of Fire is VERY heavy on the ginger note, to me, so much that I struggle to smell the mango,

Mango Kiss really is what its name suggest - a strong, passionate smooch; a gift that keeps on giving. Having God of Fire in my collection already, I wanted to see how the mango blend is in Soleil de Jeddah, and I had the strongest positive reaction to what this is offering. The chamomile can be a little bit perplexing, and may shadow the mango sharpness, but when it dries down, it gives out a luxurious feel. I will definitely say that this fragrance should be worn with caution - springs are generally a little colder - therefore daytime & evening wear are appropriate. In the summer, however... Mango Kiss should be worn in the evenings, when it's a little colder. It has the potential of becoming intoxicating in high heat, and won't sit too well if worn in closed, warm-hot spaces. Nevertheless, it's a gem, and I love it.

Itcannotalwaysbenight

Mango kiss opens with the sweetest juicy mango, giving a gourmand quality sorbet sweetness. The juicy mango opening is short-lived as the chamomile begins to overpower everything, and does not go anywhere. Overall it is pleasant, but the chamomile gives main character energy. Not a love, but not a hate. I would reach for this on a stifling hot day, or for a beach trip. God of Fire is more of a daily wearer for me.

kerricj

this is an awesome mango based fragrance, has a buttery quality to it due to the chamomile, coconut & orris butter combination. for those asking on how this compares to god of fire, i would say mango kiss is more aromatic, creamy and less loud. this gives out sort of a sunscreen/lotion vibe whereas god of fire is more tropical/fruity, spicy and louder. god of fire also has that musk-cypriol combination which is lovely imo and that is missing in mango kiss. overall, i prefer god of fire but i will also admit mango kiss is amazing but im not sure if the extra 50 euros for mango kiss is justified though. the performance for this is also good, on par with god of fire in my experience.

9.5/10 (-0.5 for price)

Finally after almost one year left sitting in my wardrobe and today, in a midwarm spring morning I can totally get the mango-coconut scent what everybody's talking about! This beauty just needs to macerate to be a real beautifule and unique unisex scent. Now the camomille is not too sharp anymore, the whole composition is rounded and smooth, creamy yet freshie. It's a big love for spring and summer!

I was very perplexed by the notes in here when it listed chamomile and mango as top notes but i was also very intrigued so i got a sample of it and let me tell you guys i have never ever in my life had a reaction like i had when i first smelled this perfume. I started laughing.

First of all this is not a perfume, it's a scent .....the scent of cucumber!!!! And i'm not kidding. This smells exactly like my cucumber infused facial toner. So i guess that's whatever this house interpretation of chamomile, that it smells like cucumber!!!

Now let's go to the mango and when a perfume is called mango something i expect it to smell like mango in someway at least. Please don't let anyone convince you there's mango in here because there isn't. I live in a place knows for its production of the best mangos in the middle east. We literally live in between mango gardens and we grow at least 40 types of mangos from the very green bitter types to the sweetly over ripped ones and i smelled and tasted them all my whole life. There is no mango in here. What is here is the scent of any very green fruit that is just starting to grow.. like guava and pear would smell exactly the same when they are starting to grow.
Now for the dry down, there's no dry down you are stuck with that herbal cucumber-y scent till you wash it off because as everything else in life (like every other perfume i don't like) the longevity and sillage of this scent is amazing. Beast mode really.
For Short please sample this if you want to try it. Don't blind buy this under any circumstances

I was excited to receive a 5ml spray since I thought I loved it from the dabber I purchase a few years ago. Sorry to say it was an instant scrubber for me. There’s a really offensive edge to this perfume…maybe the benzoin? That ruins it for me.

I also purchased Xerjoff Cruz del Sol II & Wilhelm’s Mango Skin. I’m on a mission to find a mango scent to fall in love with!

OzzyEyes

I like chamomile in body products like moisturizer or shampoo and conditioner, but it's really horrible in this fragrance, I wanted to scrub this off because it had a medicinal or herbal kind of smell to it.

LANashGirl

This reminds me of Bond 9 Little Italy. I get a lot of orange, in a good way. It is more sophisticated than Little Italy on my skin. The mango unfolds after about 20 minutes. This scent did not last on my skin, so I didn’t get a dry down. I guess I expected it to be more sweet. It was very pleasant while it lasted, which wasn’t long.

EssenceEfendi

my personal favourite of this house. i like it very much and disagree with people saying its synthetic. to me its almost photorealistic. has a clean, soapy undertone but it doesnt steal the mangos show. very unique and creamy, somewhat buttery full bottle worthy to me. i recommend everyone to try this once in their life.

amanda0727

Synthetic mango + soap. I don't find this pleasant at all.

lmnsvgz

This is a very unique and different take on mango - the Paco Rabanne one, Mango Skin, etc. all felt too juicy and overly sweet to me.

Here the mango is mixed with chamomile, leather, coconut - it has a very calming, balmy, creamy base with a touch of sharp greenness that adds a beautiful spark to the fragrance. I love the mango because it smells very natural.

Absolutely stunning!!!

Rosemary14

There’s really nothing else out there like this fragrance. It’s a juicy mango and chamomile fragrance. That’s where the green is coming from. It’s an interesting herbal, aromatic edge to this fragrance. In the dry down the powdery orris butter comes out. You can tell this has other notes in it but they’re not easily identifiable. It’s mostly just mango, chamomile, and orris swimming in a beautiful sophisticated perfume. It’s Unique and completely unisex.

jassca99

When I tested Mango Kiss when it came out, it was a green mango just like the original Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 Soleil de Jeddah. Unfortunately still tart but a little more sweet than the original, as if Mango Kiss was left out to ripe a little longer...still green but with yellow splotches on the skin of the mango. The dna remained which is an earthy iris and a green fruity, warm-weather-friendly herbal leather like in FDB Milano, but the rosemary herb in there is replaced with thyme and chamomile for Soleil de Jeddah.

Coconut listed is very deceiving because you will not get that, unless it's been reformulated. It seems others will agree though. Besides the green mango, any other fruit I got was the skin of a peach with some lemon sprinkled on top like in the original. Nothing is too sweet or remotely juicy. That's where the fruity nuances max out, because the iris, herbs including chamomile, and leather is what this fragrance truly is. I actually liked both and they're unique, but they weren't really me especially for the price.

MsVincent

I love the opening, but this quickly dried down to a very vegetal iris on my skin. After a few minutes the fruity goodness is gone and all I can smell is iris☹️

CocoBlack

This is spectacular.
So interesting and special.
Lots of mango, but not synthetic, not cheap, not cloying.
The base smells a bit woody, but expensive woody.
It is not a summer fragrance.
The best mango ever.

Maudeskelly

I am selling my bottle if anyone is interested. I am located in Canada! I only sprayed it once and realized it was not for me.

That being said it is a beautiful fragrance, just not for me. It smells chic and gold. I get a spicy, herbal mango on my skin.

Liquid_Heart

I bought a tester because I heard that this was a softer, more feminine version of God of Fire, but as soon as I sprayed this all I smelled was pickled gherkins. SO weird. Even 30 minutes later this was all I could smell.

santiniansia

I agree with everyone who said the mango here is green. I think that's a good thing; it avoids smelling like rotten fruit. I don't really smell the coconut here, but it's okay. It's quite a classy, versatile fragrance with great projection and longevity. Do I think it's worth the price of a full bottle? I'll have to try Miu Miu Fleur de Lait and get back to you on that.

Edit: So I wore Mango Kiss to a night out. I got complimented on it, and it lasted the whole night. Problem is, by the end of it, all I got was this very bitter medicinal smell. Still unsure if I should get a bottle, or go with other mango scents that don't have the bitterness.

Danny Riff

I literally tears out after smell this. I love the for the first time I smell it. I hardly to describe this due to too good.

PerfumePixie87

I love the contrast of the dusty herbal chamomile facets with that sharp juicy tropical mango. I think I prefer this to God of Fire. Perfect fragrance for a beach holiday. A creamy yet refreshing ice lolly of a perfume. Instant love.

myrrheille

BEAUTIFUL sharp green pleasant soft mango and earthy opening . The chamomile flower’s earthy qualities really stand out and carries the whole experience to another world for about 3 hours on my skin. If the opening phase lasted and projected more I’d give this an 8/10.

Sadly it was quite a short lived & linear experience after the opening. Something about the dry down reminds me of Rihanna Reb’l fleur but instead of peach you get warm amber woody mango.

dark_lady216

why are y'all lying? this smells like Fab soap, straight Fabuloso.

Dryasiulia

I tried the original one years ago and apparently gave it a dislike? Maybe it was too soapy 🤷♀️

This version, despite the name, isn’t particularly fruity on me. I do get the mango, but I need to really search for it to pick it out, it mainly lends a sweet and slightly sour aspect to everything (which, as much as the term annoys me, is all very “well blended”)

The sweetness isn’t too much, but enough to reign in the orris and chamomile preventing them from heading straight into aromatic town. That powdery sweet chamomile gives me a little Mémoire d’une Odeur vibes (which I also love), but in a smoothed out creamy way. Mémoire is definitely bracing herbal tea with sugar and Mango Kiss is an expensive mango kakigori at a fusion hotspot.

Despite its powdery elements it still shines in brutal heat. It should scream “high summer” — but the aromatic tinge will also make it great in early fall IMO. (Which I guess will be December here 😭🥵).

Rober7a

I snagged a sample of this since I am on a quest to find a perfect mango fragrance. This ain't it, mango is very far away, it's quite dry and even woody, which is odd as there's no such note in the list. I suspect it's the chamomile with amber that gives this dusty vibe. Not a fan, but not offended by it either. My search continues 💭🥭

kerolos

Beautiful scent

Very fruity sweet yet kinda fresh take on the original with very strong performance.

Definitely get the mango note and it lasts through the heart and to the dry down.

I use it anytime anywhere.

This fragrance is so delightful and summery but in the brightest and most grown up way. It's juicy with restraintful tact.
The mango note is perfect, not too green, sour or sweet. The chamomile balances the fruit and punchy floral giving this an herbal earthiness anchored by the coconut. It has a powdery lactonic quality that never tires out.
Upon the first couple of wearing of this I was reminded of Sincere by Contradictions in ILK. They are both comforting and even tho one features mango and the other peach the lactonic quality they share is spot on.
Not spot on dupes of one another but on same family tree.
Sincere is half the price and easily obtainable on Krystal Fragrances in USA

tskuster

This smells better the longer you wear it just like rouge malachite. The opening is kind of green and like an unripe mango, but it’s all worth it once the magic begins to happen. 10/10 fragrance

cwavah

i thought i would really love this after seeing the olfactory profile , coconut, butter etc ... but its a pass.... opens up with the mango of cos , nothing exciting about the opening cocconut is really mild and the life of the scent is basic too drys down to the benzoin ... May be am not really taken up by mango scents eg Vilhelm Parefumerie - mango skin .. Am yet to try unique'e luxury - mangonificent

Sniffathon

Omg what a stunner. This is exactly what I would want from a fruity niche fragrance that is more grown up than the typical fruity designer fragrances that I shy away from - the ones that turn into that familiar sticky sweet sweaty ickiness. This has a gorgeous rich (but not heavy) base lending from the coconut, vanilla and amber. And a wonderful slight bitterness from I assume the chamomile note, which tones down the sweetness. Grown up but youthful and playful at the same time.
I compared this to SHL God of Fire and this is far superior. God of Fire is a little more on the generic fruity side. Mango Kiss is a winner!

onjelbercier

Nice and classy, but very strong and mature. Something about the sour mango peel scent makes me nauseous. Makes me think of standing in an Arden's Garden more than a breezy vacation on a yacht.

naseemautefi

Oh Lord😍🤩 this is too good to be missed! I know I need a bottle 😇 so delicious

Xela_529

Mango Kiss is one of those fragrances that really blew my mind. I LOVE her. She's much more my speed vs God of Fire. I found GOF to be too loud, somewhat masculine for my taste. Mango Kiss is such a refined, elegant, rich, & gorgeous mango fragrance. I feel so tacky saying this but she smells like money, hehe. I don't usually agree with Demi Rawling's reviews but she nailed this one- it really smells like a wealthy woman on her yacht around Monoco, lol.

What really drew me in was the mango itself, its so NATURAL, as I usually find mango to be more synthetic of a note. And let's talk about the chamomile, it creates this relaxing/zen effect in tandem with rich coconut, amber, & iris. I just cannot get enough!! She's pure magic. Truly something special. 10/10!

Tashr96

I bought Mango Kiss to wear on holiday in Egypt, I wanted something summery but also with depth and I must say it was an amazing choice.
The first time I wore it I went to the bar to order my drink and asked one of the staff about the menu, he was trying to explain to it me but I noticed he kept stumbling over his words, he stopped looking at the menu, looked up at me and let out an actual GIGGLE whilst blushing and said “oh my god I’m so sorry it’s just that your fragrance is fantastic”.
So Yh this fragrance is so pretty it will have grown men giggling and blushing like school girls lol.
When I first wore it I found it a bit weird because of the herbal note, but it has really grown on me and I LOVE wearing it

Clauder13

This is a really nice mango scent that works all year round imo.
Fruity, creamy and spicy, you get the mango note from opening till dry down, this scent gets spicier on me the longer i have it on my skin.
Definitely complex and unique.
Unisex.

🥭 Gorgeous Mango Scent. LOVE.

Fruity mango yes, but so much more! LOVE the Iris in this! This is not your typical sweet fruity. It has a sexy quality.

SomaNyx

Finally it's on the database. I have this and the original Soleil De Jeddah. I layer them both and go forth expecting compliments. A sexy fruity combo for summer. To my nose it's not quite ripe yet mango as opposed to actual raw or fully ripe sweet Mango. I say this while eating an Indian mango in East London. It's mango season now so the perfect time pull Mango Kiss out. The layering with SDJ original gives it some depth. Mango is my fav fruit and during mango season... Indian and Pakistani mangos are sold all the place and even on the street here in Ilford East London. If you love mango as much as I do then this is the pefume for you. Lasts all day and has great projection.

Mira J

About time Mango Kiss was added to the database.

This house (imo) is an acquired taste but Mango Kiss is one I can easily pull off and I'm not a huge lover of fruity frags.

This is your Mango that is safe for cool weather, as to my nose there is a hint of a resinous quality in the background that makes it interesting, complex, warm and sexy. None of the other notes jump out to me on my skin, besides the ripe Mango...but you know there is something else going on. The blend here is pretty seamless.

Layers nicely with Hauts Bijoux or Cruz Del Sur 2 in warm weather. Definitely worth a sniff.

Emli94

My favorite note - if done right - is coconut so my review is bias from that perspective BUT I just got a sample of this and I love it so much. The main player is a beautiful ripe mango; super juicy, sweet, creamy and almost a bit tart at the same time. The realistic mango is blended with a luxurious creamy coconut, a warm benzoin and is given a slightly herbal touch by what I think is the camomile. Some coconut scents can smell almost plasticity or artificial - this one definitely doesn’t. It’s smooth, luscious and simply beautiful. I just want to keep inhaling it. Could be worn all year but extra perfect for spring and summer evenings. Im sad it’s so expensive because I’ll need to bring this into in my collection.

Sltv

I bought a full size after sampling! Love it, to me the creamy coconut note stands out. To my nose its equally a mango and coconut scent; and im not typically into coconut-notes or beachy-scents. But here its so smooth, creamy and well blended. Its not fruitysweet, its niche-smelling and realistic. Both me and my fiance picks up on a kind of ”grass-y” note in this as well. A green note. I havent read seen alot of reviews about that aspect.. maybe its just us. But I like though, i think the green helps it stay realistic, niche and complex.

Elposa23

This is the most natural, realistic and juicy mango scent ever. Every note is perfectly balanced from opening to dry down. It’s darker and deeper than most fruity scents I’ve tried, but not dense or headache inducing and it never gets cloying. Perfect for hot spring days and summer, especially summer nights. On my skin this lasts 8-10+ hours, on clothes I still get whiffs after 24h. This is a unisex scent, but I can imagine some people thinking it smells, or at least leans, feminine.

This is much more delicious, fruity and juicy compared to God of Fire from the same house. It’s also darker/deeper and more natural smelling. I prefer this.

Ninamariah

STÉPHANE HUMBERT LUCAS 777
Soleil De Jeddah Mango Kiss

This is the most realistic fruity scent I've ever tested. This perfume opens up like a juicy natural Mango, just like biting into a ripe fruit and the juice is bursting out between your teeth. There is nothing synthetic or cloying vibe in this in any moment from the opening until the fruity creamy end.

As this is not synthetic and the smell of mango is overpowering compared to others this is not so long lasting on it’s own. After 3-4 hours I had to spray more if I wanted to wear same scent but since I wear this kind of scent on the beach or maybe at the gym, the short longevity is not a problem for me. After those hours I maybe would change the scent anyway - but not because this is not good. This is as delicious as you can imagine!

From those notes I really get Mango, Mango and Mango, and after the opening a beautiful delicious coconut, like a coconut sorbet and creamy Vanilla on the base. Other notes are really well blended there that it’s difficult to notice those. So if you don’t like some of those notes, don’t let those fool you. Coconut and Vanilla are really neutral as well.

Mango Kiss name is well deserved, this is really mouthwatering!

Maybe some of you is interesting what different is in this compared to God of Fire: this is MUCH more delicious and fruity juicy feeling lasts a way longer. It actually last until it fades away. It doesn’t change like GoF changes first from light fruity to woody notes and after that there is left just soft Amber Musk blend.
