Similar to the dry down of Valentino Donna

Catyy

Nice scent but not unique; very generic sweet-ish floral scent, a crowd pleaser. I like fragrances when i smell i can detect like “this is the perfume made by the brand bla bla bla”. But i don’t see myself recognizing the perfume like “oh someone has been spraying Prada Paradoxe!”. I just bought it since it was viral on social media, but i don’t think it is worth the hype. Boring.

SSolstice

Paradoxe has some stark similarities to the Voce Viva and Born in Roma DNA - if I’d sniffed this blindly, I’d think it was a Valentino perfume. That’s not to say it isn’t lovely! The pear and bourbon vanilla lends a more fruity and warm quality, and it can probably be worn year round. Nothing groundbreaking, but pretty and feminine.

luna96

She’s a beautiful perfume. Wearing this scent makes me feel beautiful. It’s such a feminine, light, but still sweet scent. I love her, I would purchase.

In the first whiff I get the orange blossom, vanilla and neroli. It dries down into a gorg vanilla / amber / musky skin scent. I really enjoy this scent and it lasts fairly well - 6-8 hours.

MaxieF

I don't know. I keep trying it on wanting to love it because it was so so hyped. But every time I wear it I feel like I'm 40 years older. Its just so dated smelling. It's like if you took my way and removed all of the youth. I'm still holding on to it. I have yet to receive a compliment. I might declutter. My boyfriends dad purchased this perfume for his wife. I've never worn it around him for that reason. He was asking me if I had smelled it before and that he loves it. But my boyfriend particularly has literally never said a word when I've worn it. So I'd say yes, it is dated.

Mellybeans0

This is the perfume that made me realize that I actually do enjoy warm florals. On my skin, it’s a crowd pleaser and generic and that’s exactly why I love it. I know I won’t trigger allergies in people near me or make anyone uncomfortable, but I also smell sophisticated. I can layer this with vanillas, citrus, or amber scents when I want to make it a little more unique. This will forever be a constant in my collection.

athomas

It's ok. Nothing earth-shattering. Odd name for a scent that is quite mundane. It's not a bad scent.
It smells pleasant, but like a sweet fabric softener.

hollcam

theres a distinct sweetness to it, almost grandma-leaning with the powder feel. underneath it, there's an almost musky smell that reminds me of the sweetness that smokers have left on their clothes after their break at work. my hairdresser wears this perfume, and i thought the smell was simply from her cigarettes, turns out it is prada's paradoxe. i like the smell, although it seems overpriced for my taste. i don't think this can be worn everyday, but i definitely can see this being a sexy night out perfume. overall, try a tester first.

vsmr

I’m getting some Flowerbomb under all that neroli.

mnegrona

For me, this is daytime YSL Black Opium. It was not love at first spray as I found it cloying, but on my skin the drydown is divine. It is true that it has the creamy vanilla DNA of many fragrances and that's ok. If you enjoy those, you will love Prada Paradoxe.

000.rla

sampled this twice in store and i have mixed feelings. i was not a fan of the citrus opening because i felt like it was sharp and didnt match the rest of the notes. however, i do love the dry down, it was a generic white floral scent but it was soft and pretty to me. does it smell basic and like someone mixed every women designer perfumes together? yes. but did it still smell good to me? i have to admit, yes. i saw that someone said this scent smells like duty free and that made me laugh bc that was so true. i own my way and born in roma, and i see similarities with both of them. paradoxe is just a bit more mature than born in roma and a non-tuberose version of my way.

edit: i forgot to mention the longevity! this perfume lasted forever on me. i sprayed it on my wrist and i can still smell paradoxe on my bracelet at least 3 days after that. usually other perfumes dont ever last more than 4 hrs on my skin and i have come to accept that; but i might purchase a bottle just for that longevity.

The Scentimentalist

At first I dismissed it as being too sweet but it has definitely grown on me. Delicious and pleasant through and through. I detect Alien in this. I loathe Alien but really enjoy this. It is very sweet , fun, delicious, and attractive. Great projection and longevity. Lasts for days. Nothing groundbreaking but so pleasant that I eventually might want a full bottle and spray away. I think it suits ladies of any age.

toodaloo

Not an attractive scent profile (imo). It has a musty, dusty base and moldy basement dry-down.

Givenchy Amarige (zero moldy note) or Tresor (somewhat moldy note) by lancome have similar DNA without the heavy moldy funk and better cost/value ratio.

This also reminds me of bodycology pink vanilla wish with the suffocating melted waxy plastic vanilla base.

I would not pay hundreds for this, let alone wear it proving just because a scent is created by a luxury brand does not mean you will like it or there will be hits and misses with every brand or fragrance house.

Buy and wear what you like and what smells good to you. Do not worry about the brand unless its for display purposes only.

jow012

This perfume would have been my signature if not for the odd dry down. It's so beautiful in the opening and the heart, very sweet, but feminine and age appropriate for mid twenties and up to even use as daytime wear. It's "lady" without being powdery which I love because I personally do not like powdery blends - it needs to be subtle if it is.

My problem with this is the weird chemical smell it leaves. I honestly don't even know if I can call it a "dry down". I'm wondering if it's the benzoin I don't like or if it's something else. I don't understand how a perfume can start one way and then turn into something so different.

sononswife

I love this fragrance! This is a casual day fragrance. Sweet, fresh and for days when you want to smell put together. Office friendly. Wear this when you want to feel pretty but don't want to be the centre of attention :)

inspe13

I'm testing this from a sample. This is a very nice smell. Kind of mass appealing. But it has one downside: the smell that stays after everything else is gone is that metallic perfumey smell you get from very cheap perfumes. I wanted this one but after smelling that aftertaste I would say that Elie Saab Le Parfum is much better in this fragrance direction.

Snicole82

Nice white floral with moderate longevity and sillage. I’m not too much into white florals so this is not my cup of tea.

ghostori

When I finish this damn coach edt, I intend for prada paradoxe to take its place. Beautiful and inoffensive, perfect for the workplace. It gets a lot of hate for being basic I feel, but I find it important to keep a basic fragrance in the collection! I am a prada paradoxe defender!

ZK87

When I first sprayed this on my wrist I went 'OMG THIS IS SO SWEET' and I didn't mean it in a good way either.

This was probably the sweetest opening in a perfume I'd smelt in a long time. I like sweet perfumes, but ones that evolve. This was just BAM in your face.

It's a no for me.

Definitely a test before you buy. The notes sound lovely, but the reality was very different.

hysteria1988

Im late to this party, And I see from the reviews this is a bit of a mixed bag for popularity. I smelled the tester of this and HAD to have it, Yes its sweet, definitely not for the faint-hearted but I really do enjoy this, it lasted well throughout the day and I will likely get a big bottle when it runs out. Very pear forward in the first instance, and then dries down to the sweet vanilla,If you're thinking about buying this then id advise seeking out a bottle to test first.

ANoseFor

Smells like duty free

kayyyles

It smells like an expensive hair product (I have curly hair). There's a subtle grape undertone that I enjoy, other than that it's pretty basic.

Shekupe

Its okay, nice. Very similar to YSL libre and L'interdit. Nothing that special, it smells okay.

nisarsarah9

Pretty generic scent but I recently tried out a sample of this but an inspiration not the original which is different and not too generic of a scent. It is known as 'Enigmoxe' by DUA fragrances and I really liked it. If any one of you is looking for a different scent like an inspired version then this inspiration by DUA is great to test out!

liquidangel

cirtusy and sweet but it is nothing too interesting

WatermelonPlum603

I wanted to love this....
I ordered a sample and proceeded to spray it on my skin right away. Well that was a bad choice. Immediately it smells just like a bathroom spray or even a deodorant. I can't stand fragrances that have a "bathroom product" soapy smell. After the dry down and more than an hour later I can finally stand it. It almost has a grape-like scent to it. If only that scent came through at first I might consider wearing this. It is VERY strong and long lasting. I won't be buying a bottle. (i really wanted to as I love the bottle design)

Yuyulia

When i purchased it, at first i was really disappointed about synthetic smell, no depth and poor performance of this perfume but let me tell you, i let it sit for a bit and now it's one of my favorite daytime fragrances. At first spray it's overly sweet and synthetic but give it 10-30 minutes. It opens up fresh, clean and a little soapy. And lasts all day on clothes and hair. In fact i sprayed it on my teddy coat and i can smell it 3 days later. Big thumbs up

Sophia97

This one is too heavy on my pockets and smells legit like softener upon dry down. I heard such good reviews and I was really looking forward to try it out but I am beyond disappointed. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone sorry!

angelbeast

Rather creatively bankrupt; smells suspiciously similar to various other modern releases...Libre, Alien...the only adjectives coming to mind are "girly" and "pleasant". But alas, put jasmine and pear in anything and I'm bound to like it - and people are going to like this on you. After all, what's wrong with smelling girly and pleasant? I can see this being a lazy, easy reach for a lot of women; a perfect scent for the innocent girl-next-door.

Dani-G

I adore it.
It's extreemly deep, feminine, aromatic, classy and long lasting.
I love it.

Yasmeena0

It smells like any amber and jasmine fragrance .. i was so excited to try this perfume but now i feel very disappointed .. huge commercial for literally nothing , zara fragrances have originality more than this one🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

Driedflowers22

This reminds me of Black Opium and a little of D&G The One - not exact but it definitely has similarities.

Has great longevity. It is a sweet deep scent that would suit datenight.

CatCahilhu

0 sweetness, would say it works good for unisex. Pretty sure any drugstore/pharmacy could do better than this, not that good of a longevity and minimal and ugly sillage it smells kinda like metal and cheap baby sheets?? Such a bad surprise... OVERPRICED
P.S. I smelled it before and after applying on the skin and it's the same. My skin is not the problem :) Don't recommend. :)

Onenutwarrior

Had a date with a girl last night and she sprayed my bed with it to remember her by. I gifted her one of my colognes so she could do the same. This is a perfect scent for a woman

henderson_the_rain_king

lacks originality and uniqueness, devoid of complexity - just like all the gen z kids who obsess over it on tiktok lol.
perhaps it's because i'm a little older, but this to me smells just like literally any 2000s female perfume everyone's mum aunt and schoolteacher had. design and name are so cool, the scent so disappointingly nothing-special to me.

Rishbfrag

One of my ~*basic girl*~ go tos. This is just such a nice, inoffensive, sweet but juicy, gourmand but fruity, tart but sugary, perfumes. So easy to wear in the morning as a bright scent, but also grab at night as a sexy scent. Smells equally good in the winter, but also the summer. The packaging is unconventional, but super cute to display.
I know it’s so basic, but it’s so feminine and yummy - I will always have this in my collection!

Ayshin

A combination of floral and vanilla based with great SPL
Got similar DNA as YSL Libre
I don't think this is unique at all, but I've received compliment from people when I wear this
Overpriced, but this is a designer house well.....

vodkakran

It's your run of the mill designer sweet floral perfume. I have smelled this so many times and yes, it's good, but nothing special. It's forgettable and overdone. The bottle is cute though.

billiedenise

A fresh, a bit powdery, slightly floral, kinda fruity and candy-ish scent (bubble gum, are you there?). She’s young, girly and has some serious y2k vibes. Prada Paradoxe is not nearly as serious as her name suggests, but she’s a scent I can’t stop smelling whenever i’ve had the chance to spray her.

bluepistachio

Not that unique in my opinion. I can't help but smell grapes. Nice scent. A bit heavy for my chemistry. Reminds me of JC Couture Couture.

Sniffona

For a Millenial, this smells like a run-of-the-mill perfume our aunts used to wear when we were teens, and we sprayed them on before going out, making us feel “adult.” IMO, it’s popular with Gen Z because they are not familiar with early 2000’s perfumes. Oddly, because for me, it’s for a 50+ y/o.

FlowerSeeker

A sweet and tart citrus blast, supported by gentle florals and base notes. Leans unisex. This is a very nice fragrance and I look forward to wearing it this summer!

ThetideGoesWithme

Jasmine but make it modern.

This smells a lot like libre, my way, and others from that year. This one is a bit on the stronger side, with great lasting power, and if you like my way but that grape soda smell it gives turns you off, Paradox may be just the right fit.

Not exactly new, but great at what it does, a solid choice for a gift or blind buy.

cherryflavoredantacid

This one gave me a headache, so it's a no for me.

jiaamin

Fresh and light fragrance, but definitely not anything special. Similar vibes to YSL libre. Opening isn't overly citrusy which is nice, it is kind of sour/zesty but also sweet. Don't know why it tingles my nose when I smell it though. Citrus fades pretty quickly, replaced by a soft clean musk.

moneyistheanthem

This smells a bit like pot pourri and nicotine, but it's not too offensive. I can't detect most of the notes listed except the jasmine and neroli. Not a fan, but it wouldn't bother me too much if a coworker or something wore it.

silvertealight

it’s a light and fresh floral with the typical white floral/orange blossom vibe that a lot of fragrances on the market have... overall, it’s pleasant but not WOW & after smelling the intense version, i find this underwhelming. it is fresher and zestier, but I prefer the earthier, warmer accords from the moss which blends well w the vanilla notes in the intense version.. this lacks that depth which set it apart from being a basic white floral... the lasting power is decent, but compared to paradox intense it's underperforming

lindsgroom

I am on my second bottle, and I love it. perfect for summer and spring pairs well with Carolina Herrera's very good girl. I wear in the summer time, and get ton's of complements.

laurelin08

I originally tested this last May and for whatever reason passed it up, but I recently revisited this on a cruise and I became enamored. I sprayed some on my wrist in the evening and I woke up still smelling it's beautiful scent. I've only come across a handful of scents that are that long lasting. I bought it 2 weeks later when I just couldn't stop thinking about it, also there was a massive discount on Amazon, Yay! It's warm, but also fresh. It's sweet, but not gourmand. It's citrusy and clean, but never screechy. It's youthful and mature. In this way, it does remind me of Flowerbomb in that it's simultaneously warm and fresh. Honestly, I could see it as being a crowd pleaser and that's actually a good thing because the quality of the perfume is exceptional. It's blended oh so beautifully. My husband says it's smells interesting and fun and kind of like Pez candy, which I can understand. It does have an addictive play-doh type smell similar to Dior Poison Girl, but without the spice. I love that warm and sweet smell!

This perfume is a paradox in itself as it smells distinctive yet like an amalgamation of other perfumes I've worn such as Ellie Saab Le Parfum, Ellie Saab in White, My Way Parfum, Armani Code, and Poison Girl. It has to be the orange blossom, orange, and vanilla combination that connect all these scents together especially the orange blossom. Prada Paradoxe, while reminding me of many other perfumes, still smells unique and special, its more versatile than all the previously mentioned fragrances meaning that it can be worn for any season and any occasion. I wore it to work the other day and its gorgeous scent was gently wafting at me all day long. Because of this and its powerhouse strength, Prada Pardoxe is signature fragrance worthy. It's definitely become a staple in my fragrance wardrobe.

lemongrassscented

This is YSL Libre's younger sister. Smells almost identical but more youthful, sweet and playful.

Perfect first date fragrance as it's objectively pleasant, not controversial and not overbearing.

yara.xo

soo juicy and fruity, teen me would’ve loved this lol. identical to valentino roma. i think i’ve outgrown gourmands now but gorgeous scent nonetheless,

icerise

I got it as a sample. I was anticipating it in the mail based on the reviews, but when I finally sprayed it on, it gave me an instant headache. I regret tossing it out right away and not being able to smell its finale notes…but the migraine I experienced is enough for me to give it a low rating.

Melissaracheal_

This is so lovely! I prefer it to the intense version. It’s very long lasting and has great sillage!

Melis.t

Great year rounder, very versatile and crowd pleasing scent. I would use it as a signature scent. Beautiful citrus and pear opening combined with sweetness of white florals and vanilla. I like this dna and I simply adored this scent :)

ellie_may

Oh it is sooo good 😍 so feminine and elegant, you can wear it on any occasion

Arber Cami

From a male point of view, I dont like it. The neroli is so potent that it becomes unbearable, very high amounts of neroli & orange blossom with a powdery vanilla undertone that's what you get with this fragrance. Boring and headache inducing.

Ground hound

I wouldn't call it PEAR, it's more of a fruity round sweet orange blossom. A pinch of musk and vanilla. Starts off as a pleasant fruity floral but after a while gets a bit heavy with a slightly plastic-ey note. Not very unique.

headkace

For some reason i bought a full bottle of this and months later I regret it. In store i found it quite lovely- fresh. But now months later I find that it smells like the floral scented kitchen trash bags.

beatrix75

I love it soo much 10/10 long lasting strong beatiful 💖 fragrance

SimonsTux

Mainstream, designer, sweet, pretty girl fragrance. If you've made peace with being basic, as I have lol, then this is a safe blind buy. If you like unique, niche scents then pass.

pahuljica

This was love at first sniff! My signature scent for the last year and a half. Perfect combination of floral, fruity and sweet. I love wearing it and always get compliments, even from random people. I guess it pairs well with my skin.

It might not be a revolutionary scent for people that are deep in the fragrance world, but I think it has a timeless elegance to it. Beautiful both for day and date night. To me it smells nothing like Valentino. I haven't found anything that smells like Prada Paradoxe. Simply lovely.

saf_her

This is a nice sweet perfume, I can really smell the white floral and citrus notes. Despite its name, It's not a very original perfume. But It's lovely if you love spring perfumes.

Arsenal Till I Die

A copy paste release of Valentino but a little less sweet and more floral. It’s ok but they literally copied Donna born in Roma..

karinatfragrantica

Why do they put a layer of vanilla on any otherwise nice white floral? Probably just to follow the current trend....This is a typical example of the currently popular mainstream designer fragrances.

Aduro

Overrated .

Leeenas

I really really enjoy this fragrance. At first it’s fruity, then it settles into a really warm vanilla scent on me. I think I could not imagine wearing this in summer, because on me it turns very very warm and sweet.
It’s very long lasting, the staying power is great.
It reminds me of Libre in a way.

KatelynMLovesPerfume

Very run of the mill to my nose. No hate if you like it but it just comes off as cliche/redundant for me personally. Not a bad smell, but not a stand out fragrance at all.

Electriclady

What if you took Mugler's Alien and layered vanilla over it? You get Prada Paradoxe. It took me a while to figure it out but that's it in a nutshell. However, it's still a beautiful fragrance and I love it, and the staying power is great.

Itslex1

Always gets me compliments and is really long lasting

cintara4999

I really like this fragrance. Is it simple? Yes. Is it generic? Yes. But is it lovely? Also yes.
This is probable what most people think of when you say “perfume”. A little bit sweet, a little bit floral, with hints of citrus. Though on my skin it opens up with mostly white flowers. The scent is really nothing special but I don’t think of it as a bad thing. I used my sample whenever I wanted to smell girly, fresh and flirty. What actually surprised me was the longevity. On my skin the base notes were still present after about 12 hours. On clothes it stays for days. I will probably buy a whole bottle mainly because of how long-lasting it is.

AbiSmellsDelish

I LOVE this scent. My ex husband gifted it to me for Christmas. He mentioned it reminded him of YSL Libre which I own and love.
At first I rolled my eyes at the thought I would be wearing the same scent as most girls a decade younger than me.
Once I tried it I truly have not been able to stop using it!
First, it’s very much a gourmand scent to me. It’s very sweet, very intense (in a good way), almost reminds me of a grape scent. Very reminiscent of the fresh grape scent in Victoria’s Secret’s Body Rush Grapesicle. This may be the neroli and orange blossom mix.
This scent lasts for DAYS! There are times I spray it on my clothes and can smell it days later.
There is literally no reason to walk around with a travel size of this scent.
It’s intensity matches that of YSL Libre, YSL Black Opium, and Thierry Mugler Alien.
I wouldn’t say this is an exclusively night or winter scent as I can see this working for a Spring evening, girls night or date night.
It’s still very youthful in a sense, as I only know of women in their early 20s going bonkers for this scent.
It’s sweet but I don’t get florals other than the orange blossom. Nor do I get powdery in any sense. If it’s there it’s very subtle. There is vanilla present for sure as I notice it towards the end of my day.
If you love gourmands and need something more youthful than YSL Libre, this is safe bet.

kattyalf

Smells nice, sure
But, honestly? For how overhyped this was… I don’t get it.
It ends up smelling like a pretty generic vanilla, nice, for sure, but nothing special. I guess I was expecting a “wow factor”, but this does not have it.
If you’re just looking for a nice scent that you can wear day or night and that lasts and don’t need it to be different or special, then I do recommend this one :)

bjorksattorney

Pleasant, sweet, extremely generic and vague. Smells like mandarin and sugar then smells like vanilla and sugar. I don't pick up the specific florals, it just smells like *perfume*. I got it in a very cute sample pack from Macy's along with Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense and YSL Libre. They're all similar but Libre is a little deeper and more interesting to me. Very happy to have a mini bottle of it to put on when I want to smell yummy and girly, but it's not something that feels personal.

sally110

oh my god this scent is like crack i LOVE it, wouldnt wear it myself since its not my style but it smells very sweet and lingers around when someone who wears it passes by. strong silage. many people dont like this perfume, i honestly dont get it, it smells wonderful.

katiesimpsonhair

Sweet, bright, fruity and smooth I love it. It lasts really well and creates a nice delicate scent bubble. I also own the intense version which is good but I’m always drawn back to the original, I get like a smooth creamy fruit sorbet vibe and it’s really addictive. I have a refil bottle so I don’t think I’ll be going short. I don’t think this smells anything like the other fragrances mentioned, it’s totally deferent. Love the triangle bottle, so unique and cute.

JessiePooh

I bought Prada paradoxe yesterday. I sprayed it on skin to test at Sephora and omg is it good! It’s sweet, citrusy, with some florals. It’s very strong and long lasting. After leaving Sephora maybe 2 hours later I picked up some food from the drive-thru and the guy at the window immediately said “Oh, you smell good, what you have on??”. It’s so nice to be randomly complimented on smelling good 🥰. It's a really nice one to have in your collection, if you want to smell good!😅. Yeah, there are similar fragrances out there, yeah a lot of ppl have this in their collection, “it’s generic”(whatever that implies), blah blah blah… I mean, Are all the paradoxe wearers meeting up to walk around holding hands together or are we in our individual corners of the world smelling good af?? I nvr understand when ppl say “everyone has this” 😂 So, do you want to smell good??

Update: what i actually sprayed at Sephora and was complimented on was paradoxe INTENSE! I mistakenly bought the OG instead of the intense 🤣🤣 whoops! Yeah, get the intense. It’s much better than the original! Sawwy!

midnightcat

Libre Intense vibes. I like it

Jujas

Personally, love this fragrance.. I get a lot of Libre Intense (mentioned a few times) sans lavender; pairing them together actually smells incredible. Even better with Le Parfum, imo. That pear note really sings (similar results when I pair La Belle with Libre Le Parfum) amidst the backdrop of honeyed orange blossom & lavender; simply stunning!

I don’t really register any grape, if anything the white florals and neroli give it a rather sparkly, sort of fresh vibe that I really love. And I definitely prefer this over the Intense. That perfect combo of white florals, citrus and neroli gets lost in the Intense.

Can’t complain about sillage or longevity, as both are above average in my experience. It’s an interesting, feminine and fun fragrance and really pairs so nicely with some of my warmer / dense scents. It’s a total love for me.

emmatranter_

for the kind of perfume you get free samples of in Vogue, I liked this one surprisingly a lot! light and sweet and quite playful, a nice ~traditionally feminine~ scent that doesn't suffocate you with pink, as it were. I'm a fan of neroli, but the rest isn't very me - still i enjoyed trotting about town in a cloud of it for one day! very impressive longevity too, i must say!

Melody Valentine

I've probably already talked about this one but just got another free sample off Facebook, I've had at least four so far. It's okay, smells nice enough but boring. Citrusy, sweet, slightly soapy, musky. Smells like loads of other perfumes, Voce Viva and Libre (if you took out the lavender), Born in Roma etc. I never used the samples I get though, I'd never buy this. There's £15 perfumes from Lattafa that blow stuff like this out of the water.

tracytran29

Its smell is very seductive and youthful, long lasting, I love it so much.

ilonkailonka

So this was the last perfume I purchased before I really dove into the fragrance world (back in the era where I was only aware of drugstore options and when I'd only own bottle at a time).

I used it daily for a few months last year and I thought I loved it, but my tastes must have really changed, because I just tried it again after a bit of a break and I now find it WAY too loud and screechy. I could see it being suffocating in a small space. Yikes, I hope I didn't give anyone a headache...

vpace91

I love the pear and tangerine in the top notes, but the mid and base notes leave something to be desired, for me.

Greyscales

Such a lovely fragrance, but unfortunately it just wears off so super fast. I really love how this smells and I've gotten so many compliments. (I thought people were exaggerating when they said they got stopped, what?) Anyways, I love this fragrance.

Iamleah1

Nice perfume, reminds me off baby powder but everyone around me disagrees. Lasts long on clothes and skin

NysAddiction

I’m not sure how people smell YSL Libre when they smell this, or if they even know what Libre smells like lol. But to me and with my body chemistry, this is basically Donna Born in Roma x Love, Don’t Be Shy. I get the grape-y fruitiness in the opening from the orange blossom and neroli mix, the slightly indolic jasmine in the middle and then the soft sweetness from the musk and vanilla. It’s not original at all but I could see how it would easily be a crowd pleaser.

Bookxolover

Very nice. I definitely get a sweet smell with a hint of fruitiness. Feminine and fresh. Lasts a long time, I can smell it on clothing all day. Not a complicated scent but then again there isn’t necessarily anything wrong with that and I definitely get a YSL Libre Intense vibe but this leans a little sweeter.

amanda0727

I finally emptied my 30ml and I do not think I will repurchase this. Everytime I spray this I think it smells really good as I get the neroli(I love neroli), but a couple hours in of wearing it something just annoys me. Must be whatever the aromachemicals they used in this.

Betsywoolbright

Not just generic, but generic and quiet.

f4iry

this gives church girl

anamawsity

A nice sweet scent, unfortunately it’s just too floral for me personally!! Has moderate longevity and sillage. I saw someone say it’s similar to Roberto Cavalli’s Just Cavalli but Paradoxe is MUCH sweeter.

Schondis

My first thought was that for a perfume called "Paradoxe" it's very underwhelming. But it is a lovely fruity floral scent, very inoffensive and suitable for any occasion. I only have a sample so I'll probably use the rest of it but won't be buying a full bottle. If this was gifted to me, I'd definitely keep it though, it's very professional yet sweet and fresh. Solid 7/10

Slink

Paradox stands out from the other fruity floral perfumes that I try in the store. It's a good balance of floral, fruity and sweet with a soft muskiness. It's distinctive from the others. Sometimes I go to sephora and spray tons of paper samples. After a few minutes for many I can't tell which is which for most of them. But Paradox has a distinct tartness to it so I can always recognize it. It's fun and feminine and likeable. I think of it is the same category as Donna Born in Roma. That one is less tart and more floral and the dry down is more spicy. I prefer Paradox. I think it can work for everyday but also for going out. I can understand why some people might think it isn't interesting enough. I'm on the fence if it feels like me and whether I would want to purchase a bottle. But I like the bottle design and kind of want it just for that.

East River Pearl

A powdery, citrusy vanilla. Very much in the camp of Yves Saint Laurent Libre or Coffee Break by Maison Margiela. It reminds me somewhat of Valentino Donna Born in Roma in that it also has that powdery Valentines candy heart sweetness to it. Leans a little soapy. The floral scents aren't super fleshed out to me.

Glyceryl

Opens with a burst of sweet, juicy pear with a twist of bright, fresh citrus. It’s almost intoxicating. The sweetness of vanilla is there from start to finish.

Then come the creamy white florals, with amber and benzoin creeping up.. almost dancing around the perimeter, encapsulating the true nature of this fragrance.

Paradoxe is sexy and professional at the same time. It’s somewhat airy, but warm with a soft and sweet spiciness. I imagine a woman that is beloved by all, but isn’t afraid to be cutthroat when she needs to be wearing this. Definitely office appropriate, day or night. Love it.

Suppu987

Beautiful burst of warm florals. Once settled, the blend of amber with the jasmine and orange blossom hits JUST THE RIGHT SPOT!🤌🏼🤌🏼 At first when i sniffed this i didnt quite like it. Felt it wasnt my vibe, but then when i tried it more and finally just took the leap and bought a full size because lets agree the bottle is a vanity worthy piece. And oh my how ive fallen in love with it since my second wear! Its not ground breaking ofcourse but its still not as generic as a lot of people claim it to be. Even if generic its a beautifully balanced blend that i keep reaching out to more than i thought i would. I do have to practically bathe in it to create a scent bubble but because that is how i like my scents, if ive bought it i do want other people to smell it when theres a wiff of wind hitting me. But ive noticed it to be the case with most designer perfumes so wont complain much. It lasts about 2 to 3 hours as a bubble for me without reapplication and then thereafter becomes a skin scent. Being a warm scent I definitely wouldn't use this during the warmer days hence i cant comment on how would it last on a sweaty summery day.

K8lo

When I first tried this, I found it very mysterious and surprising. I had it on my wishlist. Upon trying it again, I just didnt like it. It does have a nice freshness, strong pear notes. Maybe my body chemistry changed, but it is no longer in my taste profile. There is just a note here that is off for me. I can see this being a signature scent to the right person!

hotbaby1

The first review was during summer. But I think Paradoxe performs better in the winter.Today I wore it and it’s very cold out, we have had snow. I was in and out of my office. Every time I’d go back in there, the room smelled like something gorgeous. It was Paradoxe. I love love love this fragrance.
I would like to hear what other people think.. is it better in summer or winter?

AMMILLER

I love this. It's signature scent worthy.

It opens very warm, floral, orange, vanilla and amber. It's like a warm hug. It reminds me, just a touch, of the scent of the Botane Rice Candy I used to get after school. Warm, sweet, and even a touch sexy.

In the dry down the pear really comes out. It's heart is a frosted pear on a bed of white flowers. Easy, pleasing, not overly fruity and 'young' but not benzoin and matronly either.

I can see this being a real crowd pleaser, but it's also different then the sharp musky band aid like smells that have been popular recently.

Signature scent worthy luscious smell, priced well, and good longevity. I love it and will be purchasing more going forward.

Astrid's Nosespace

I tried Prada Paradoxe when it first came out in 2022. At that time I didn’t really care for it. I typically like niche perfumes better.
Recently, I tried it again and goodness did I change my mind!! This time I liked it at the fragrance counter and asked for a sample and let me tell you… I am addicted!!! I can’t explain how surprised I am myself. It opens so fresh and sunny, a bit citrusy and I pick up the pear and a bit of the tangerine for sure. The Neroli is absolutely beautiful here. This Neroli is actually the main reason that I prefer this to the intense version. Even though the intense lasts longer, I prefer the OG hands down.
In the dry down it turns super soft, feminine, cozy, a bit sweet and musky on my skin. I love catching a hint of it on my skin as I move. I’ve gotten a few compliments already. My boyfriend smiles every time he smells this one on my skin. It’s a winner for sure. I’ll be asking for this for my birthday!

addictpiglet

Horrible scent. A sales assistant sprayed this on my arm and I could only take it for 30 minutes before I went into the mall bathroom and scrubbed it off with soap.

Gemsense

Wow- everyone wants to be so different and so unique- they’re so desperate to stand out they won’t even appreciate a beautiful fragrance for what it is! This is great stuff! But they’re so niche they want gasoline and paprika with burnt hair then they’ll rave of how special it is and so them… ugh so over these snobs of “niche”

AnanZ

Feminine and mature, i smell dark chocolate

taragsmellzbomb

Definitely a crowd pleaser for sure.

PinkGhoulette

I chose to get prada paradoxe after reading so many positive reviews. At first glance, the citrus & floral notes pop really nicely. While it's wet I can't help but think it smells like grape juice (which I love!) & once it dries down it becomes a very delicate & elegant white floral fragrance. Slightly sweet, but overall fresh & clean. After maybe 2-3 hours it softens up & becomes a very comforting musky amber-reminiscent of hugging my mom after a long day of work. Many people say it's too basic but honestly I believe popular scents are popular for a reason. This is quite lovely & versatile. I could see it being a signature fragrance!

Adrichu

What can I say, I sprayed this perfume for the first time in 2022, It eventually HAD to come home with me, Well, It's 2024 and I can safely say, this is my FIRST ever bought perfume, ever. I'm not that big of a perfume person, Not many perfumes make "lose my mind", it only happened with this one and Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, and where one is overly priced for my riches unfortunatelyl, Prada paradoxe is more approachable when bought from authorized retailers.

WELL, It's floral, pink, nice, juicy, clean, There's nothing wrong with this perfume in my opinion, I found that to leave a trail I have to spray way more than I usually do, but my 3-4 sprays are enough for the perfume to be Complimented and felt. As I said, it doesn't leave a trail, and for it to be Strongly smelled you might have to spray about 8-12 times!

Robijn

I like this, but it's just so mainstream. There's nothing remarkable or new or edgy about it. A good 'safe' fragrance for people who need to be accepted. That's not me.

kiddo221998

This is to my nose libre all the way!!! But without the masculine in libre this is a softer delicate version of libre edp

Tissla

I loved Paradoxe when it first came out, then all of a sudden it started smelling completely different on my skin and I couldn’t stand it anymore. It’s very overpowering and heavy, a nightclub kind of scent. Now it’s so mainstream you can’t enter any public space without getting a whiff of it, so if you’re looking for a unique signature scent this is not the one.

meganlamode

Ok, I am one of those people who has been hating on the vanilla overdose fragrance releases as of late. I find that vanilla overpowers any other notes way too easily, and I dislike several of these recent releases, like Valentino Donna Born in Roma and Armani My Way. However, Prada Paradoxe is different to me. To me, it doesn't smell like either of the scents mentioned above. I don't think the vanilla overpowers the other notes too much, although it is definitely present. The orange blossom here is just beautiful to me. It's the type of orange blossom that's reminiscent of grape flavoring. I'm not sure yet if I'd buy a full bottle of Paradoxe, but it has really grown on me.

Perfumedsecrets

I tested this when it debuted, and wasn’t impressed. A change of weather or chemistry occurred and now I like it. It’s pleasant for daily wear.

Lolo79

Got a sample in a sephora order. Sprayed it on the card and immediately went "ugh". Laid the card and sample down on my dresser with intentions on throwing it in the trash. A day later I picked the card up and smelled it and fell in love. Lol. I can't explain it but this has become one of my favorite perfumes. The top notes to me make it smell too perfume-y. The dry down is what I love.

CB88

I find the jasmine super overpowering with this scent. On me it skips the top notes and goes right into the white florals. I'm not a huge jasmine fan so that's probably why it's not my favourite. It almost pulls a bit sour in a weird way. I agree with others that have posted that it's nice to have a perfume that's a bit "different" than the ultra-sweet that we've been seeing a lot lately.

Kim Kirk

Sort of a blind buy for me. I received one of those folded paper advertisements with the perfume on it. I really liked it on the paper. On me at first I didn't like it. But, after the dry down and the settling of the scents I find that I do like it. It just took a minute to rest on my skin. It's sweet on me so I'd use it in the spring and summer in the daytime.

wxbycc

This had an allure to me from something I sniffed years past. I put my finger on it today, it reminds me of Armani code for women. To my nose that was a clean soapy scent, because I’m a true gourmand lover. Anyway, I read a lot of negative reviews on here, and that’s okay. I can see what people are saying regarding the fragrance being static. I like that it holds it sent and blasts all day. Stays fresh, doesn’t really morph, or story tell and smells nearly the same on everyone. So many fragrances I wish would hold true to the initial spritz. Or hold the mid, a lot of my favorite fragrances don’t smell very good on me. Like oriana even, sometimes she’s beautiful and sometimes she’s orange blossom bathroom soap and paper towel rolls. So for what it’s worth, this is one of my lighter, cleaner, soapier scents. On me this smells vaguely sweet, and like I’m fresh from a shower. I washed my hair and used all of the prettiest and expensive hair care. There’s a very cool sweet note in this that keeps it fresh all day and I love that. I’ll continue to keep this as my gym scent.

Dee97

Yes this is a basic perfume, but I really like this. It’s in the same category as My Way by Giorgio Armani and YSL libre for sure, but I like this better. If it wasn’t for YSL libre being a bit too masculine for my liking, I would wear it but prada paradoxe fills in the gap. I’m not a huge fan of floral scents, but this is beautifully done - has almost a creamy dry down. I can imagine this being a crowd-pleasing scent as it’s so basic but nice at the same time. This thing LASTS and projects quite a bit, so be careful to overspray. Will definitely be adding this to my collection.

asiarakk

This is an absolute disappointment for me. Smell like 1000 other luxury perfumes, I swear. It’s not unique, but still weird in a way. And too sweet. 🍬 synthetic caramelised fruits and white flowers.

mayvray

This smells exactly like those candy hearts that come out around Valentine’s Day. I don’t mind it, but I do find that association weird

Sarahaahaha

I usually love Prada fragrances, from Prada L'homme to almost all their infusions. For Paradoxe, I can't say the same. It's an overly sweet white-floral fragrance that is almost a mix of many other designer white-floral fragrances. The composition and development aren't anything new, and they feel more sweet than floral. I wanted to like this fragrance, especially because of the cute packaging, but there isn't anything special or "paradoxical" about it.

Uka

I love the scent, but it's definitely not worth the money.
The only paradoxical thing about this is that for a niche price, you'll get a perfume that smells like every other designer perfume on the market.

raconie

on paper it’s nice, i definitely get the pear. on my skin this is just melted icecream vanilla with something strangely green and bitter underneath it, sort of like a spray deodorant.

Miss Mego

I received a sample to try and it’s just meh. I can’t pick out any particular notes it kinda just smells like you’re wearing perfume. Price is too high for a generic scent. Pros: it does last all day, could wear in an office setting without offending anyone. Would not purchase a full bottle.

BGkitten

Okay, here it is-I have no idea what the hype is all about. I actually adore pear scents (with JHAG Pear Inc being among my all time favorites), but there is just something off in this Paradox. It has pleasant, flowery base, but there is just a scent note in there that is quite offputting and quite frankly, it reminds me a bit of a stink bug. At first I thought maybe this “off note” is in the tester paper I was using and once on my body, it will smell totally different, but no, this off note is still there on me and the worst of it, it is not one that wears out after a while. This note alone is enough to make the smell quite off putting. I am almost upset because the base, mid notes and essentially 90% of what this smell is like is quite intriguing and pleasant. But I cannot focus on anything else other than the thought that all of that feels like I put a nice perfume and then someone swatted a stink bug, which now permeates perpetually onto and along with the Parandox. (Because there are no categories that allow me to list other popular scents that I dislike, I will list them here-if u too dislike these, chances are, u will too smell the “stink bug” in Paradox. I dislike-Your Way, Black Opium, Bronze Goddess, Billie Eilish (og))

mslysss

My favorite perfume right now! I wore this the night I got engaged. I can't describe it other than it smells like me. It's good as an everyday signature scent and lasts pretty long. I love to layer this with Valentino Donna Born in Roma sometimes. I literally went to the bank and the lady told me she smells my perfume through the glass window. I will always have this in my collection. A true staple!

madisonsant

Smells like a hairspray when you first sprayed it but then it turns into a sweet floral scent and it lasts for a long time. This also didnt give me headache which ı suprised cause once ı got sick of flowerbomb

pansylady

This could well be called Pearadox! It really is all about pears, warmed with golden amber- It created a nice little cloud of scent as I decorated my Christmas trees today-
I put on the tiniest amount this morning- 12 hours later, and it's still going strong- and the dry down is adorable-

Very nice scent for this time of year-

Helenka_Pinda

Absolutely lovely fruity floral. The opening is in-your-face (albeit in a good way) fruit and florals, but the dry down has real warmth and a bit of grounding to it. It's a very happy fragrance. Not a signature scent, but the sort of thing to be worn to long, lingering happy gatherings like weddings or birthdays. It's sort of like pineapple cake. Not something you'd want all the time, but pretty wonderful and memorable as a treat every now and then.

Hybridchimera

Strong feminine smell. Not too flowery. The name doesn’t describe the smell at all.

carrico1986

Got a sample of this from sephora. Youthful, sweet, playful and uplifting. Makes me feel 12 again! I love this scent!

kokorino

I received a sample of this along with Burberry Goddess that I purchased today .
It's very similar to My way as in it exudes the same candy smell and youthful energy .
This is not necessarily a grown up scent in my opinion (but there's nothing wrong with that)
The sillage is not that strong but it's got this bright fizzy champagne smell as soon a you spray it on so . The dry down is a rather pleasant vanilla , I find out .
The pricing might be a bit much so I'd recommend really trying all the perfumes with this DNA before committing to this one .
The ones that I'm aware of : Libre , My way , l'Interdit , J'adore l'or , J'adore , Gabrielle , L'occitane Néroli& Orchidée .
Best of lucks on your fragrance journey !

prancingponytail

It has -probably- the most synthetic jasmine I've ever smelled, and almost suffocated me in the middle of the store. I have chronic bronchitis, and because of these new generation white flower essences I don't even want to try new fragrances anymore.

SheRays

I definitely don't see the hype around this one. Very nutty floral smell- similar to Voce Viva, which is ok. Given the presentation, I thought this would smell more special/unique. Not sure how people can pay full price for Prada, because their fragrances misses the mark and doesn't last long.

hollyoaks321

Smells very good it’s got a sweet generic perfumery smell to it

Emmouko

This perfume for me is very sweet and i cant feel any other note on it , it doesn't last all day and im sure i will not buy it again . its one perfume that doesnt give you absolutely nothing

jess.sophie.cluse

This is special because I’m a real no
-perfume-perfume girl who like things like Glossier You and Juliette has a Gun, but even I can’t stop sniffing this when I wear it. I got it as a gift from my mum as a sort of joke because I’ve always been in love with Emma Watson, but I was totally expecting to despise it. I don’t like the bottle, I usually really dislike these sorts of fragrances. This is the exception though. I don’t know what else to say other than yeah, it smells really really good if you give it a chance. The rumours are true, men are obsessed. And women. Hearing people describing it as fresh and light is where I draw the line though, because this is absolutely the stickiest, strongest perfume I own.

stefani valini

Oh wow, love at first snif... is it original? No, but the orange blossom and jasmine are so soft, creamy and sweet. Definitly musky, the musk is more perceptible than amber notes to me. It's so feminine and pretty girl next door. It's perfect all year round and for any occasions.

If Libre by YSL add a baby, this would be it. . No one can hate it I guess, its crowdpleasing perfume.

medusaodalisque

classic and stunningly feminine. sweet bright bubblegum white florals. a slight 'shampoo' vibe but ultimately makes me picture a gorgeous girl with a beautiful blowout. can't go wrong

Vmich

I think it’s half a step above boring. It does have a twist to that usually musky, floral scent you can get with almost any perfume out there. The opening especially is sweet and citrusy- I knew there had to be some sort of orange in it, and the sweetness stayed at the same level. The transition between the opening and the dry out was smooth, and you got those jasmine, amber, and musk notes.

I can recognize good perfumery when I smell it, and that’s definitely here. There’s nothing wrong with a basic smell, especially when it has a a bit of a twist to help it stand out from other scents. Unfortunately the dry down is too similar to a typical musky floral perfume (I just call em grandma perfumes) that I doubt anyone not into perfumes who smelled this could tell the difference. There’s citrus notes left there but considering how similar it is to every floral musky perfume in the market, the price point can’t be justified. For me perfumes should give me an interesting experience, and this just doesn’t. It’s just ok 🤷🏻♀️

reinaaaaaa

the most floral a perfume could get.i love when its turns really creamy and blends with the vanilla.i really like it😮💨

Kiwigrl

I bought this recently and it is the kind of fragrance that hours later I can smell it. It stays on my clothing too. It’s different to my usual tastes but I love it. It is a little sweet, but even in the tropical Fiji heat it wasn’t too much. It’s very feminine, and my husband loves it.

elliebie

When I first bought this, it was when I first was getting into floral perfumes. I was much more into fruity gourmands before (I wouldn’t call this a floral perfume, more fruity-floral). It is definitely shampoo-y. I’d say mostly in a good way. I am sick right now, which I’m sure isn’t helping me, but I’m revisiting this tonight just to see how my tastes have changed, and it is REALLY reminding me of Pure Seduction (my least favorite scent pretty much ever), but a Pure Seduction I actually enjoy. I’d be curious if anyone else gets this from the perfume.

Leonis

Nop. I agree with someone that stated that this was a perfume that came out of an office meeting, "let's make something that pleases and sells and sells". It is very formulaic. I like the scent but it's so fake, so static, i sprayed it once in my wrist and could smell it exactly the same through the whole day. I think "Static" would be a better name for it, than "Paradoxe". Not ecstatic at all.

ikensmelll

I LOVE this fragrance. I got this because of TheCherysTV… she said “unless you wanna be flip like a pancake, folded like a lawn chair or tossed like some pita chip, don’t wear this around men” and I was like “SOLD”! Lol…. But seriously, my husband loves this on me.

Sure it is not unique, and it smells like most of the white flower fragrances … but it’s also beautiful and so well blended and smooth! It’s very long lasting as well. I sprayed this on my coat and it lasts probably a week - until laundered. Projection is at least 5 ft. I do 4 sprays total (2 on my skin, 2 on clothing). I love this so much that I just bought a backup bottle.

Biggest.Nose

This is a very feminine smell. Reminiscent of jean paul gaultier classique and Allure by Chanel.
Kinda mixed up...
I love it!
It's not mega unique as the name suggests. But it smells pink and it's pink!

frut_snk

This is everything that is wrong with modern perfumery, and more importantly the modern fragrance customer.

This is, and was supposed to be, a mix of everything that sells well on the women's side of the market. And it's just that, nothing less, nothing more, this has no character, no standout note, nothing interesting happens in this fragrance, it doesn't develop throughout the day, it doesn't smell different on different people, it doesn't smell different between the skin, and the blotter. There is no art or craftsmanship here! There is no quality! This right here is a successful business meeting, and people eat this sh*t up!

This is a best seller in all of Europe, the place, where people brag about their art and culture!

Loreal sh*ts on the fragrance market, and I guess people love smearing it on themselves. Please don't give them any more money.

Featherblossom

I actually love this!

I first smelled it on a test strip when browsing fragrances in a department store. It stood head and shoulders over all the other scents I tried. It's not particularly unique but it's so well blended that the other similar scents out there pale in comparison.

When I looked at my test strips the next day, this was the only one I could clearly pick out and that had retained its scent. Even weeks later, I could still smell Paradoxe on the paper, so I knew I had to buy a full bottle! I really value longevity in a scent because it feels like I'm actually getting good value for money. With this one, one or two sprays in the morning will last you all day.

I get mostly pear, citrus and white florals initially. Then the dry down hits and the amber starts to soften and deepen the fragrance. Like I said, it's not overly unique or innovative, but if you're looking for a well-blended designer white floral with industrial sillage and great longevity, this is the one to go for!

nzgirl

I tested this at Sephora and it reminds me of something super specific. The bathrooms at Broadway shows. It smells just like whatever spray they must use. I think it could be pretty but it just makes me think of a bathroom too much to enjoy it.

Dija K

The first time i came into contact with this perfume was on a colleague. Everytime she passes by she left a trail behind her. I wasn't drawn to the scent per se just its projection and sillage. Probably because she wore it in a cold season instead of warm. The second time, on another colleague it was a completely different smell to me. As i was standing next to her, all i can think is that she is wearing Ari by Ariana Grande. It's not an offensive smell but not unique, i did like Ari but it was one of those perfume that i got nose blind to after a few hours and i don't think i ever got a compliment on it. If i am gifted Paradoxe i don't mind wearing it during the warmer months but i don't see myself buying it as of now.

chiaraherself

Why do i not hate the white florals in this?????

Yes Malena

Smells wonderful. I have a bottle of Yes I Am Cacharel, and though that one is spicier while Paradox is more fresh, I feel like they give me enough of the same feeling that I'm good. Don't need to buy this, but it is very pretty, and I hope others around me will wear it.

InisMona

Starts off smelling like a super sweet, fizzy, sticky drink - kind of like Fanta, but develops into a certain sensual, feminine sweetness. It's definitely not something unique, but a rather mainstream designer fragrance, but I cannot say I dislike it. It's suitable for a blind buy, it's on the safe side of scents. I also enjoy its longevity - up to 6h on my skin, and I appreciate the moderate sillage - its intensity is just right.

Rosiewebber

Call me boring if you like, but I actually really like this. Sweet and powdery citrus in the opening, with laundry-esque musk in the dry down. It’s like wearing a sweet orange blossom perfume while climbing into your boyfriends comfiest clean shirt.

Just want to add as well, my husband went mad for this one, couldn’t stop sniffing my neck.

katiesimpsonhair

I love this scent but I’m really disappointed in the strength and longevity of this. It barely last two hours and not very detectable, I’d say it’s pretty weak. I have the intense instead which performs really well and smelly amazing.

laraturklay

I found this fragrance so boring when I first tried it, but now that I received a sample and tried it again... I fell in love and I came to the conclusion that I had misjudged this perfume. It's sweet, feminine and attractive in the most playful way. Can't wait to buy it.

tatiana1190

First spray and first few hours of wear I get a lot of white florals and the second half of wear it turns into a much sweeter vanilla skin scent on me. I know some people were let down by this fragrance because it’s another white floral. In my opinion, this IS another white floral but it’s beautifully blended and wears really nicely. I smelled a lot of white florals in Sephora looking for my signature white floral and this while not groundbreakingly unique- is one of the best in the designer fragrance capacity. This is an easy go to- versatile fragrance that I think would pair well with other scented products in a routine (body washes, hair products, etc). The amber mid note brings a warmth and cozy element to the fragrance that keeps it from feeling too old-lady. I absolutely love this one and can’t stop smelling myself when I wear it. I HARD agree with the reviewer who said this is a middle ground between Libre and DBIR, almost like DBIR’s classier sibling. It’s romantic, inoffensive, and doesn’t smell cheap. It has above average sillage but I’d still consider it office safe. It’s gorgeous.

Anastasiia_B

I loved it at first spray, in winter air I somehow smelled grapes. Recently I received a sample it is so different and frankly I do not like it, it`s basic but something is too strong and even bitter, maybe neroli? Anyway, just a reminder to try perfumes well before buying...

Gabsp28

First spray, I get the white floral, the citrus, and sweetness. It's bright, strong and beautiful, very girly. As it starts to settle on the skin, the Amber starts to come through, and sweetness intensifies. For me the bourbon vanilla is subtle. It's a simple clean and sweet, fresh smell. And easy wear for me all year round. I have smelt the intense version, I found it didn't last any longer nor did it have a stronger silliage., which I found disappointing.

majeaux

This is my signature fall/winter scent. It’s intoxicating and addictive, warm and cozy. Works really well with my chemistry which is a win. The bourbon vanilla is the star of the show, standing out most in the heart and base notes. The opening is a bit strong and dare I say a little abrasive, but the dry down happens swiftly and gracefully. This one is for the gourmand girlies, through and through. The floral notes only really perform during the opening act.

missingbonnet

I thought I smelled something familiar after trying TF decants. This perfume kind of smells similar to lost cherry but a little airy from the vanilla and powder scent.
This has better sillage than most of what I've sampled, it's quite tempting to buy a full bottle.

Laralaritaaa

Well the reviews are true, this does smell like a mix of popular fragrances especially Libre and Born In Roma. Y'all gonna hate me, but I love this.
I think this is the classier twin of DBIR. She's also more femenine than Libre, and less soapy. Paradoxe is bright at the opening, more bubblegum and less woody. The Prada DNA added an extra oomph to this fragrance.
This is super classy, romantic and girly. Super easy to wear and versatile.
I only have a travel size, but I feel like I'll get the big bottle (which is sooo pretty btw) and sell my DBIR bottle.
Longevity and projection are excellent. I'm a Law student, and let me tell you, this is the perfect scent to wear at college.

MTK82

It's a beautiful beautiful perfume and I love the bottle too! It's so romantic and Ambery. I feel amazing wearing it on special occasions but it doesn't last long and I haven't received any compliments about it as yet!! I still love it...could be my signature scent!

cinnakitty

I tried this today and it’s like bubblegum on steroids, but in the best possible way! I haven’t smelled much I’ve been wowed by in a while but this just made me feel really happy.

CustardBunny

o.m.g first spray covers me in sweet sweet bubblegum! I feel like I'm walking through the fair at a carnival surrounded by cotton candy and pink balloons. Its such an overwhelmingly positive scent i would be surprised if people didn't turn their head just to say wow i really want candy now!
The tangerine isn't citrusy at all and instead combined with the pear creates such a cute melody of what you'd only hear from a japanese shojo character.

supergirl9412

Paradoxe feels like a mix of some popular perfumes right now .. mostly Libre Intense and Born in Roma .. but it’s just different enough. Paradoxe has the same bubblegummy amber as Libre Intense and the same cotton candy/boozy vanilla accord as Born in Roma .. but Paradoxe has a soft neroli that’s missing in both of its counterparts, and Paradoxe is missing the dry, isopropyl facets found in those two. So, to my nose, Paradoxe is a great interpretation of this type of scent, with only the best qualities of each.

(Quick side note: This is one of the least annoying and least gag-inducing neroli fragrances I’ve smelled, and that’s coming from a neroli hater. It’s absolutely still recognizable, though.)

Moderate projection but pretty good lasting power!

Nothing necessarily paradoxical about this scent, but it’s a beautiful fragrance that I’d be happy to have.

Dotblonde

Just received a sample size of this and unfortunately don't think it's for me. I'm not getting any of the rich sweetness other reviewers mention... it actually smells like aftershave on my skin which is not what I was after! I'm just getting citrus and a metallic Musk.
Used to adore Prada Amber and can't believe it's discontinued! I also have YSL Libre intense which in my humble opinion is far nicer.
Going to give this a chance as only on first wear today and maybe it will grow on me?
Nothing beats Lancome Poeme in my view for warmth and femininity, but of course fragrance is highly personal and it would be boring for us all to like the same things.

endlesssummer

I have literally been stopped by strangers to ask what I'm wearing and have to tell me how good I smell! I have an extensive collection and this one gets the most compliments. It has a subtle sweet luxe sexiness that you may go nose blind to after a few hours but others adore. Grab a bottle you won't be sorry!

Random compliments galore in every single bottle!

NB99

I own several niche and designer frags. You can call this boring, generic, unoriginal, etc. from here to breakfast. I've smelt a shite ton of niche frags so in a way I agree. But when I wore this out for the first time, I was stopped by 3 different strangers in one store. And the people I actually did know couldn't stop raving about how amazing I smelled.
I've been complimented by many while wearing niche frags, but mostly by people I know. I've never received this kind of reaction from strangers in that short amount of time. If you find yourself mainly around frag heads all the time then don't bother. If you're looking to leave a delightful scent trail for the general public (the peasants who clearly don't understand or appreciate fragrance as an art form--who clearly aren't as sophisticated as most of the reviewers on this platform) then you'd almost be an idiot not to buy this.

motherofdjembe

I sampled this at the mall and had to go and scrub it off my wrist in the bathroom. It’s was headachy to the max and it was disappointing as the bottle is beautiful and I usually love pear notes but sadly it was a big fat no for me.

merlotwinez

smells like a mix of libre and my way. smells so good but boring af

Veronika95

nice, inoffensive, but boooooring. Good for perfume beginners.

tiger_eyes_

Kinda late to the party but I decided to finally get it because I wanted this nice, airy and comforting daily perfume that I could wear to my classes. It just makes me feel good and cozy.

Scent_Insensibility

I don't usually write reviews like this , ones that are negative about something I was hardly going to like in the first place, but something wound me up about this one. I broke.

It manages a seemingly impossible feat of being both extremely dull and quite unpleasant. I'm guess it's partly cos it smells like any number of toiletries or products like fabric conditioner, shampoo or room spray, as though they just picked "Generic smell №23" off a shelf and went for an early lunch.

Then it's also quite nauseating after awhile. I think that's it, few perfumes do that, as I can tolerate most stuff, I'm not a "OMG, it gave me a migraine, I had to scrub it / get off the bus / report the poor new girl to HR". Dullness is frustrating , I'd rather smell SOMETHING, even if it's jarring or "difficult" , usually . Maybe I'm just sick of smelling this everywhere ( and by THIS I mean endless versions of this ). I've reached peak mundanity.

Even if you like these notes ( fruity floral ) , I'm sure there's better things out there.
Feels like what happens when they stopped really caring what perfumes smelled like just knew the consumer would by anything if it sat within a certain catagory they felt safe with ( this is sweet, this is clean, this is floral, this is fresh ) and looks nice which a cute bottle and faux empowered
advert. ( good for Emma Watson, just take the cash then you can make an art house film instead of a blockbuster ).

They really don't give a monkey's about, you the customer, anymore. Neither do you, if you value "safe" and "inoffensive" above everything else, so why should they.

The public gets what the public wants. This is a perfume for adults that say they want to smell "yummy" with a straight face and think sexiness is next to cleanliness.

alanav09

you're at a brunch table with a bowl of freshly picked, ripe strawberries in front of you, someone wearing libre across from you, and someone wearing DBIR at the end of the table.

Paradoxe by Prada is a fragrance that might not break new ground but has a special place in my collection. Now, some folks complain about its lack of originality, but here's the deal - if you're not expecting a revolution in a bottle, you'll see that it's got a little bit of many beloved fragrances like Donna Born in Roma, Voce Viva, My Way, and Ari. Personally, I own and enjoy those scents, so the idea of blending different aspects of them into one fragrance is pretty appealing.

Paradoxe is all about that sweet white floral goodness with a lovely vanilla finish. It doesn't overcomplicate things, and that's just fine with me. It's a super easy, wearable, and likable scent. It's feminine, sweet, and pretty much perfect for everyday use, no matter the season or occasion.

And let's talk longevity - it holds up pretty well, creating a delicious, uplifting bubble that envelops you. It's one of those fragrances that simply makes a girl feel pretty and happy, and honestly, that's all I'm asking for from it.

dm7918

after 3 hours of wear, I have the best fabric softener fragrance ever. If you like that, this is for you. Pleasant, but glad I tested first. not different enough for me.

sunnyviolets

More refreshing, lighter and surprisingly less generic than the intense version. Same impressive longevity and nuance. The beauty of this fragrance really is in the details and how it interacts with your chemistry.

Don't get me wrong though, I adore the intense version and wouldn't say it's that generic to begin with - it only vaguely resembles a Macy's I remember walking through at the very end of the dry down. The OG is unlike other mass crowd pleasers, leaning more into niche territory imo with the dry down.

Signature worthy. More of an everyday fragrance vs. the going out energy of the intense version.

I like to *not* gatekeep things, and love when fragrances become popular, but I'm saying a tiny prayer we don't get another BR 540 or Flowerbomb situation with this one - it's that good.

Momopeach

When I smelled it in store, I liked it but I wasn't sure if it was worth it as I already have DBIR and Libre. Also recently, My Way and Linterdit have been giving me headaches and so are decluttered... so anyway I took the tester strip and stuck it in my purse on the way out of sephora.

The next day I was digging around my purse for my keys and I kept getting whiffs of this sweet delicious smell and I couldn't figure out what it was. Then I found the tester strip!!! Omg! It smells amazing!!!!

Sweet jasmine and orange blossom with an almost caramelized sugar sweetness, like literally candied orange blossoms, the sweetness almost has that browned/burnt touch to it.

Who cares if it's basic? To me this doesn't really smell like DBIR since I get a lot of the pink pepper and blackcurrant in DBIR. Doesn't smell THAT much like My Yay, which is more fresh and orangey in the opening, and also has more soapiness. L'interdit has similarity but take away the headachey tuberose and patchouli. Libre is less sweet and the lavender neutralizes it. This is like Voce Viva got a dose of caramelized pear. There is a reason why these scents are popular. They smell amazing in the air. That rhymed, mic drop.

Antique-Freak

Am I the only one who smells Ari by Arianna Grande when this dries down? Maybe I got my testers mixed up at the store and I'm smelling something else, cause is smells nearly identical to Ari for me :/

tdonny.kri kri

May be one of the best among sweet white-floral vanilla frags along with Valentino Donna BIR but a little bit more intense, whereas DBIR is more subtle and cute. It was so-so at first but after testing a few times, it has grown on me and the dry down is whimsical and addictive. Not to mention the stunning bottle !!! Silage and longevity are great too. It’s a safe blind buy and suitable for every occasions and weather, may be except for hot summer days but you could under-spray if you want to wear it. It’s a love for me as a mainstream perfume lover and do not expect anything unique from it, just only sweet and lovely scent.

Danimcc90

Very inoffensive but very boring. It won’t wow you but it’s an easy grab and go. DBIR is a better perfume it’s got the edge and still a great grab and go but can be worn at night too, it’s more special smelling and similar price point in UK.

saho93

Fruity floral. Maybe too sweet for my preference. But it is still a nice feminine scent.

LinnaOey

My fav!

ahmosenefertari

This is Prada's answer to Donna Born In Roma from Valentino. It has the same candy sweeteness in the opening, while still being able to be somewhat fresh. Later, the Vanilla and the Jasmin come out, reminds of La Vie Est Belle Eclat, without the Patchouli. It is feminine, delicious and signature scent worthy if you like sweet fragrances. It is not obnoxious nor cloying, so I feel it would suit different climates and occasions

Yvmm

Opens as bubblegum sweet, soon changes into something warmer and very agreeable. It's still quite sweet and kind of subtle, it doesn't have edginess and it doesn't challenge the nose in any way. An excellent nice daily perfume to wear. After an hour or so it becomes more powdery. I love how warm and consoling it feels and a little fun and carefree. That also makes it pleasant to wear when taking off for Dreamland 💤

In my opinion it is not present enough in really warm weather, but it comes out well in autumn and winter. Love the shape of the bottle.

It really reminds me of Olympéa Solar, by the way, to me they are very similar, but Paradoxe has a bit more warmth and is a bit more present than Olympéa Solar.

nettoyant

I don't find this generic or boring at all. It's strong and sharp. Like pure neroli and musk in a bottle. I miss the old days of Prada Ambree, Tendre and the infusions are in a class their own. This one and La Femme are such a departure. I just do not understand and am in mourning for a house that was incredible.

wildflower_isla

i blind bought this when it was released as im a sucker for anything emma does
and im sooo glad i did ik its nothing new scent wise but the projection and sillage on this fragrence is insane!!!!!! i went on holiday and when i came home my jumper still smelt like paradoxe
as a sweet fragrence lover this is a must.🍭🍬🧁
definitly the best scent prada has ever produced

sweetlikecandie

This smells like if you mixed Armani my way with Donna born in Roma. It’s nice, but I don’t think I need it. I wouldn’t be surprised if I do end up with it on an impulse buy tho.

AyeDeeBee

I'm so sorry, but this smells like Fruity Pebbles cereal. Extremely sweet and kind of juvenile. Maybe it's better in the dry down, I don't know because I had to scrub it off 😩

katiesimpsonhair

I really love this one. It is sweet and syrupy with fruity jasmine , sugary vanilla notes. It has good longevity and projection and I agree it does smell similar to Armani my way which I don’t own. Also very like Valentina born in Romas which I do own. All have that sweet syrupy vanilla that just keeps projecting. This is a very addictive and versatile scent and the design of the bottle is so cute. I own the 30ml so I can refil and fit in my handbag 👍

Annemarie

Designed by a committee neither to excite nor offend anyone. Devoid of anything paradoxical. A clean white floral, inticately blended which makes it hard (for me anyway) to distinguish the notes but there's a bit of everything in there from various other recent releases. Some flowers, some fruit, some vanilla and some musk.

A timid girl might wear Paradoxe to a job interview and then wish she hadn't because after all she hates taking a risk. Is it too stong? Yes it is, and it lasts a frighteningly long time. But she'll be fine, six other girls interviewed that morning were wearing it too.

Makayla1999

This perfume gets a lot of hate for being generic. I agree its generic but the scent is truly timeless, very feminine, easy to wear, and beautiful. It's bright, it's fresh, and very floral. I mostly smell the neroli, orange blossom, tangerine, and a warm benzion base to ground it. The projection and longevity are great, the price is fair, and it's just a classic girly perfume. Definitely a daytime spring/summery scent. My only complaint is that it's a bit screechy when you first spray it, but smells pretty in the air nonetheless.

Niovi

I smelled it on a woman at the metro and had to ask here what she wears. I immediately went to the store and tried it on, couldn't stop sniffing my hand! It's special, rich and lasts for hours -I think I could smell it even after my shower. It does smell a little old but not in a grandma way, more like in a vintage way. I will try it one more time on my neck to be 100% sure that it doesn't make me sick and then buy it
By the way I could swear I could smell bitter almond in it but didn't see it in the notes

Fruit-chan

3 top perfumers where needed to create this basic sweet sour bubblegummy perfume with an even more basic powdery musky drydown.
It lasts a long time and projects well.
I have a 8ml sample that has lasted me months and I wouldnt purchase a full bottle of this.
I find some similarities with Byredo Sundazed but its less headache inducing than that one.

Update: I was gifted 50ml of this.I will wear it when Im undecisive.

Update 2: I get why some compare it to Libre. After 8 hours I smell Libre too.Its the vanilla.

CJJLOVESFUMES

This is a long lasting inoffensive and safe crowd pleasing scent. To me, it’s floral and powdery. I really enjoy this one when worn with Donna Karan deodorant, oh it’s so good!

This may sound crazy but I feel like the dry down is similar to Ari by Ariana Grande I mostly get powdery sweetness at dry down. Not dupes, but some similarities at the deep dry down.

I don’t get a resemblance to DBIR - I have that one and love it too, but I don’t think they are dupes.

Taurien

Prada Paradoxe is a nice and pleasant perfume but nothing new. It came out on the market when the recipe that it also follows had been exploited ad nauseam: citrusy and cheerful top note with a bit of pear, a heart of white flowers and a strongly vanilla base note with a bit of musk.

Perhaps what I like most about it is that I feel a greater predominance of the neroli note in its composition, but it is very similar to the perfumes that go along the lines of, to mention perhaps the most representative, My Way by Armani.

It has a moderate sillage and, although the last hours is close to the skin, it lasts me about 10 hours.

In short, it is a perfume that I like and that I would use as a versatile day-to-day perfume if it were given to me as a gift, but in the current scenario in perfumery it does not have a soul of its own.

robertambark

While not ground-breaking and paradoxical despite the name, this fragrance is blended to be super fun, candy-like but in the most adult way possible. While this is very sweet, it dries down to be ambery and is carried throughout the day. The performance is amazing and it is very affordable. I'd say a great gateway to start a perfume collection / to get into perfumery.

toosimilar

Silent sister of My Way, yes

QueOndaGuera

Not groundbreaking, a mashup of white florals that smells sweet and nice. I wouldn’t buy it but I enjoyed the scent because it smelled fancy and pretty, almost with a fizzy soda quality to it. I prefer deeper gourmand scents and the base notes on this just don’t come through enough. It reminded me of Voce Viva a bit.

Pale_Daughter

I have been wearing Prada Paradoxe almost daily ever since it came out last year. I have to admit, it really surprised me. When I saw the list of notes, I was disappointed because it sounded completely generic an not interesting at all.
However, when I actually tried it on my skin, I fell in love with it within an hour. Something in this fragrance just agrees with my skin because the scent is absolutely beautiful and lasts for ages on me. Even though lavender isn´t listed, I can always smell a hint of it somewhere (perhaps it´s just in combination with my natural scent) and the vanilla and jasmine are far less pronounced which suits me fine, as I am not a huge fan of either note on its own.
The dry down is a bit powdery, but still fairly fresh and not too sweet or heavy. I still get a ton of compliments from people.
I´d say it´s a fragrance for any season, perhaps with the exception of really hot summer (it can be too heavy when the temperature reaches 30+ degrees). Otherwise, I think it´s pretty much universal and a very flattering fragrance, equally suitable for the office and a night out.
