Prada Amber Pour Homme (Prada Man) by Prada is a Amber Fougere fragrance for men. Prada Amber Pour Homme (Prada Man) was launched in 2006. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier. Top notes are Neroli, Cardamom, Bergamot and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Myrrh, Musk, Orange Blossom, Geranium and Vetiver; base notes are Saffron, Vanilla, Labdanum, Tonka Bean, Leather, Sandalwood and Patchouli.

Prada Amber Pour Homme is the first Prada fragrance, launched after the female one, also in oriental composition based upon amber. The perfumer Daniela Roche-Andrier created the composition in four basic accords : Amber – the main accord, rich and complex oriental base which includes amber, vanilla, labdanum, Tonka and patchouli; Fougere – or the aromatic accord with a remarkable soapy note, includes notes of pelargonium, vetiver, orange blossom and myrrh at the heart; Cologne – the refreshing citrusy top of bergamot, mandarin, neroli and cardamom; Leather – leather note is present at the base of the composition (leather, saffron and sandalwood). Miuccia Prada, the granddaughter of the founder, who turned grandfather’s leather goods design into a large company, personally took part in creating of this perfume. “I just tried to imagine what I would like if I were a man.” Maybe due to the fact that it was created by a female hand, the fragrance is not aggressive at all, like it might have been expected from an oriental fragrance with leather and amber. Instead, it is very elegant and masculine gentle.

very clean and sweet. also really powdery (in a good way). high longevity and pretty good projection.

ItStinksNice&Good

Smells super clean and soapy. Great fragrance and price.
Can anyone tell me if this fragrance has been discontinued? I've heard mix messages online, I hope not because its really great for what it does.

Vivid Laser Eye Gawd

This was the greatest soapy/powdery designer fragrance before it was reformulated. I would take the 2006 version of this over ANY designer fragrance. After reformulation, this smells around 60% of what it used to be. It currently still smells good enough for me to continue purchasing and wearing it. I really wish I could get the 2006 batch tho.

Piggy41510

Fresh soapy sweet with a hint of spice❣️. This fragrance is just amazing and I'm so happy I bought two 100ml bottles at a very decent price because I'm hearing rumblings about this being hard to find or it's discontinued? For me to buy two bottles of this stuff means it's a masterpiece fragrance. The presentation of the bottle is very elegant and unique and I even love the box with the Prada fabric logo on the front. Get this fragrance if you can because it's worth it and you can wear this all year round dressed up or dressed down it doesn't matter how you wear it!! 10/10 perfect fragrance.

Dàithì Lòchà

I adore this. As with all my loved scents I wish everything was better. The dry down for me in this is gorgeous but quite timid. It leans old school but screams class.

alexwebdesigner

Prada Amber Pour Homme is one of those "beautiful" men's fragrances. It's not designed to be an obnoxious projection monster; instead, it's clean, reserved and elegant.

If you want to smell like a gentleman, steer clear of heavy fragrances like Naxos, Gris Charnel, etc., and opt for something like Prada Amber Pour Homme.

Those other fragrances are phenomenal in their own right, but this is what a true gentleman would smell like, with the understated projection and sillage to match.

Chepeludo

Today I'm returning this product, can't call it fragrance because it disappeared within minutes after generous application over skin, shirt and smartwatch clothlike wristband. Don't know what the hell just happened but it didn't meet my high expectations. I have the Prada L'homme and it excells on every olfactory classification. What a let down by Prada amber.

Howsitgoing

Damnnnnn! I just got this today. I sooooo wanted to like/love this perfume however to my utter dismay I don’t. It most definitely smells like a bar of soap and in the dry down changes to a pleasant clean smell but It’s not for me. I’m sad 😔

Louismanuel

I'm in shock. It is sold out almost everywhere.
My 11 years old 100 ml bottle is not empty yet but I only have ca 15 ML left and the quality is deteriorating.
The spray still smells the same but when I spray I get some weird smell.

Daniela (Roche) Andrier is the best perfumer. No one is better. Amber pour homme is a master piece.

Another fragrance from Daniela (Roche) Andrier that isn't aggressive, abrasive and hard to wear. A calm and relaxing and gentle scent for a gentleman.

For anyone curious I have the newer made in France clear/grey juice as opposed to the old made in Spain purple juice one. This still smells great. This will forever be a hall of fame scent. The soapy description is accurate but it's more than just that. It's a clean resinous warm spicy slightly balsamic and floral masterpiece. Little bit of patchouli in the far dry down which gives it an ever so slight earthy touch. This always to me felt like a 3D version of Prada L'Homme. It has depth and complexity all while maintaining that classic simple Prada soapy vibe. This stuff is unfortunately getting hard to find. This still might be Prada's best fragrance after all these years. I love how Prada stays in their lane and doesn't tend to switch it up too much. They have mastered a specific style of scent. This is easily a for life fragrance.

TD82

Fantastic clean fresh and soapy! Love it

mannywell

This is gorgeous. Blended so well I can't make out any notes. It's warm, slightly sweet and intoxicating. Very elegant and refined. The smell actually matches the colour of the juice (I have an older bottle, the newer ones are more transparent I think?). Signature scent worthy.

metalliclaugh

One of my all-time faves! clean, ambery, calming fragrance!....had it 6 years ago. dont know if it is reformulated or not. performance is not strong but above average and not disappointing...unfortunately my bottle was broken😭
Excellent for almost all seasons and occasions. smells clean and expensive so ot is safe blind buy😍

SweetPeaPea

I have the purple juice produced in Spain, although I am curious about the new formulation.

I discovered this gem several years ago by accident while ordering samples to find a sensual warm 'amber' scent for cooler weather. I had no idea I was about to discover a scent that would serve as a personal joy and a valuable utility for years to come. I was gloriously surprised when I dabbed it on. The reviews below have already said it countless times... "soap!". Pure, refined, luxurious soap. Quintessential clean. A bit powdery. Unisex, yet simultaneously masculine.

When I find myself in a situation where I simply need to smell well groomed, whether its at the office, a first date, a job interview, before bed, or a myriad of other occasions, this is the first scent I consider reaching for. Perhaps there are better strategic choices for certain business meetings, and second dates, but for most indoor professions and most everyday encounters, this will do the job and do it well. The intense version is also very impressive. Similar soapy DNA, just not as versatile.

In the soapy fragrance hall of fame amongst Acqua di Parma Colonia, Prada Amber pour Homme Intense, Mugler Cologne, and Chanel Platinum Egoiste, Prada Amber pour Homme is #1.

Hopefully this will remain available for purchase for years to come. Better yet, one of these niche houses will take note of its utility and popularity and turn it up to 11. 10/10 would bang again and again!

Does anyone have the new reformulated (grey liquid) if yes please can you give a review on performance and the scent vs the old purple liquid, some people say they have changed the notes giving off a different scent? Thanks

SammerPharaoh

One of the best office scents I've ever tried, it's waaaay better than prada l'homme

Piggy41510

This fragrance is so awesome to me I bought a second bottle!! I know I'm going to reach for this often and I found them for a good price at a mom and Pop perfume store inside the mall in my area for 69.00. 10/10 for me and it smells borderline niche to my nose.

bljczmln

I love this fragrance and i despise Prada & L'Oréal for first reformulating it and later making it borderline impossible to find it. It's a complex clean, spicy, soapy, fresh, resinous/balsamic scent with a sweet base, one of the best fragrances i've ever smelled. Incredible stuff honestly. I have an older Puig batch and the performance is great. So easy to wear yet classy and also versatile, you can wear this to work, to the gym, running errands, anything basically. Easily a 4 season fragrance too. The bottle is also really good. The ingredients on the metal plate is a nice touch and place of the atomizer is un ortodox and unique. Great design all around.

arivera0425

Like some others in the comments say, this is very much a clean and warm luxurious soap in a bottle. It has great depth and a richness to it that even the likes of Prada L'Homme, their more prominent men's fragrance to date, lacks in slightly. Projects fairly well and lasts pretty long (about 2-3 feet strong projection for 3-4 hours and lasts on my skin anywhere from 8-10 hours with moderate spraying). Given its a clean type of smell its impressive how well it performs. Sampled this fragrance many years ago when I first started my fragrance journey and I liked it a lot. Just recently I was able to get this fragrance for a good price and I truly enjoy it even more now than I did then. Definitely has a more unisex feel much akin to Prada L'Homme - which I also own and really enjoy - but can be pulled off by a man with no problem. Wish I had picked up a bottle of it back then before it got discontinued, it really is a great value for what it does.

VR02

A warm, clean, floral, comforting smell, definitely unisex but such a good rich complex scent, love the bottle and purple juice looks so cool

Piggy41510

To add to my comment below I paid 68.00 for the 100ml bottle which is a great price because online it's 120.00 for the 100ml on most sites I looked on. I'm blessed to have came across this fragrance 😍❤️.

Piggy41510

Just picked up this fragrance today for 68.00 which was a great price considering what I've seen online. This fragrance is very clean, classy and fresh with the right amount of powdery aroma. This can be worn to the office with no issues whatsoever and I love the bottle and the color of the juice is awesome. I'm really happy with my purchase and the presentation on the box is nice with that fabric Prada logo on the front is really dope to me. Honestly I give this fragrance a 10/10 because this is my style of fragrance and I'm proud to have it in my collection.

Professor Value

I sometimes read reviews for fragrances that claim, "clean and soapy," and then, when I sample, they don't match that description. So, I am very happy to say this one IS clean and soapy, giving off a just-showered-with-a-high-quality-European-bar-soap scent. PAPH is very well blended, performance is excellent, and prices are reasonable. This one has quickly placed itself in my Top 20. My original purchase was a 50 ml bottle and have been liking this fragrance so much, I decided to go for a backup 100 ml bottle. I only have the purple liquid and not the newer gray version. Highly recommend trying.

katsong

Wait until the drydown, it smells like a slightly less sweet version of Lush's Twilight!
I smell a lot of the signature Prada iris note in here too, which isn't listed !

Rip & Run

Prada Man is masculine, soapy and clean. It's done exceptionally well. An amber fougere that punches higher than the average designer release with this similar DNA. This is a very easy-to-wear scent that is hyper-versatile. From the gym to the boardroom, dressed up or dressed down, day or night, any occasion, any reason, any season, and signature scent worthy, It's never a bad time to smell clean and well groomed. Prada as a fragrance house has consistently produced high quality and unique men offerings that are never mediocre or redundant. No matter what your preferred tastes are, Prada has a fragrance that will fill a void in your wardrobe.

nísimaldar

The perfect office smell. What more can be said. Makes one smell perfectly clean, luxurious, and masculine. More serious and grown than most "blue" scents, which makes it more usable everyday if you're going into work and don't want to think about what to throw on.

JF Dufour

I love this fragrance: a smell of luxurious soap and baby powder (slightly) while still being masculine.

Prada amber for men is synonymous of freshness, cleanliness and elegance.

I just received the new formulation (gray liquid). It's the same smell and performance (excellent) as the previous version (purple liquid).

It's an ideal fragrance for the office or an outing. The smell is harmless.

heysmell

i have the last batch and it still smells good, fresh and clean.
don't confuse this freshness with aqua di gio or some other blue,
because it's totally different and higher league.
you must like this type of perfume, because it's masculine and clean,
it comes from the era when this is how a man smelled. it's not sweet one million etc.
Is it still available in the usa?

apureterror

FINALLY. I've had something like this in mind for a long time. It's perfect for me. A very clean, fresh high quality soap aroma. I've always wanted to walk around in public smelling like I JUST took a shower. This is it for me.

Muskyflower

Batch code: 72791
Age: 6 years 3 months

Made in Spain.

I can't speak for current batches,
And I got lucky finding this Gem 💎 located at a kiosk in my local mall.

Color of the juice is like a lilac purple and it is absolutely gorgeous.

I love this juice soooo much.

Reading reviews regarding current batches and the color of the juice and lack of performance- i am going to head back to that kiosk and see if they have another bottle of this magic.

Out of my entire collection this will be my first attempt to buy a back up bottle.

As far as the scent goes,
Everyone says this scent is soapy and I agree, it is soapy. However, this scent is far more complex than just soapy:

This scent is extremely spicy,
Probably the most spicy scent that I have.

It is also very resinous,
Aromatic and floral,
Slightly leathery,
Well balanced,
Smoothed and rounded with a subtle sweetness from the vanilla.

Yeah, way more complex than just "luxury soap"

And I say this because in the air people aren't going to think that you smell "soapy."

Most people who have commented on this particular fragrance tell me that it smells very warm and spicy.

And it is also quite musky and I typically don't like musk, but it is blended well here with the resin, the sandlewood, the orange blossom, the leather, the patchouli, and the saffron.

Yes this is really unique and I have never smelled anything else quite like this.

Some comments suggest that Prada L'homme is superior to this and I just don't agree at all
This just has layers upon layers that prada L'homme doesn't have.

This is Warm and spicy, aromatic, flowery, resinous, creamy, leathery, powdery,
Woody, musky, slightly sweet and soapy all at the same time.

An olfactory treat with every inhale you intake every single facet that is blended into this fragrance.

tj_gra

I have a newer bottle, and I can confirm it is not the classic purple color but a grey color to the liquid, which disappointed me slightly. Off the top, I immediately get bright citrusy notes of lemon and mandarin, which blends together with a soapy, slightly musky and floral mid note. On the base, I get a very rich smell of clean linens, and the smell of clean linen is what lasts the longest for me. It is a beautiful fragrance that I would recommend for professional occasions during any season (indoor preferably ) as it is inoffensive and does not project too far if you are light on the atomizer. 7.8/10.

stardust_ziggy

Prada Amber Pour Homme is a 10/10 for me. Its super well blended especially with the amber accord. Prada basically creates a sophisticated, clean, timeless fragrance that can be worn any occasion, this cologne exudes elegance and confidence.

mostafa385

Very soapy from the start to the finish.
Performance is average or slightly below. Suitable for office use or any indoor activity.

vdog

French fabric softener sheets for men. Somehow, simple yet sophisticated. There isn't much of an evolution here, what you smell at first, is what you get. If you wear this with a pressed dress shirt, you will feel groomed and ready for the day. I cant speak for current formulation, I have an original bottle.
This seems to be compared to Prada L'Homme below, but I will say this.. Prada L'Homme has a sweetness that did NOT mix well with the soapiness for me. I did not have that problem with this perfume. Beautiful.

defectedmonkey

Just a heads up. If you are buying Prada Amber now, it's not the same at all. It's lost the cardamom, saffron and the clean amber. It's weak. It smells like alcohol in the opening, it's lost the "prada" quality. Even the notes on the plate have changed. It's just not the same fragrance anymore.
Why does L'Oréal always kill off the fragrances I love? Either by bad reformulations or discontinuation. Can someone buy the Prada line off them please? They are incompetent. If I need a cancer causing shampoo product, that's when I'll look to you L'Oréal.
Fragrances? No!

pcinfra

If you have Prada L’Homme this is completely redundant and inferior. If you have neither but want a clean and soapy fragrance, get L’Homme. This is just not nearly as good. As someone below commented, I also tried to like this but it’s just has no wow factor like L’Homme does. L’Homme makes me feel a certain way. When I spray this on this just checks the clean and perfumed box

taylormarie

I'm a woman and I wear this during the fall/winter months. It is an easy-to-wear fragrance and I reach for it on days when I can't make up my mind. It's soapy yet warm, with a sexy muskiness that lingers throughout the whole day. I find it to be perfectly unisex and appropriate for any occasion. I haven't worn it in warmer weather but I'd imagine it would be a bit heavy. Gorge!

ktp2309

If I could keep only one fragrance for the rest of my life...this would be it! Clean, fresh, soapy, powdery, deep, relaxing, exquisite and expensive smelling all at once. This is a modern masculine masterpiece...no more no less. Apparently discontinued so get it before it's gone forever.

Spicenza

This perfume is my new signature scent. It’s so hard to identify singular notes in this fragrance bar neroli from time to time. But a soapy neroli, this perfume is a soothing, relaxed, classy understatement of a fragrance but you will stand out.
I’m a female but this is a very unisex scent, I can see the masculine side but I usually enjoy masculine leaning scents personally. You will smell fresh, like Johnson & Johnson fresh. Bliss

mamaduck

I love the bottle and with the accords noted here on fragrantica I was sure I was going to love it. My only reaction when I received my sample was "meh". I can see how some might find it awesome, but for me it's quite boring and if you're going for "clean", Prada L'homme has you covered. I've really tried to love it, but when doing bottle to bottle comparisons it always falls short. It does not smell cheap, but I can't see anyone wearing this over any other fragrance. If you want to order it, I would really recommend sampling or smelling it at a store.

4/10

Perfumer007

Modern classic fougere powdery soapy clean scent the safraleine nitromusks aroma chemicals amberwoods made this perfume sweet distinctive and sensual

8/10

Samuel_rsj

"Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form." - Rumi. Embodying this cyclical essence, Prada Amber Pour Homme transitions gracefully from a soapy neroli outset to a warm, ambery embrace. It's a scent for the popular loner, its clean, fresh accord resonates with a quiet allure, veiling the wearer in a soft, dignified mystique.

stardust_ziggy

Italian perfumery at its finest. The idea is a very clean sophistication and it’s achieved. My advice is to sample and let it grow on you. It’s quite versatile. It’s very different from the wonderful Prada L’Homme yet you definitely feel the Prada running through it.

10/10. Great performance too.

perfumeleopard

As a woman I think this is my favorite “men’s” fragrance I have ever smelled. For years my husband has asked me to find him a cologne but when I smell them at the stores nothing quite does it for me. My usual complaint is that they smell like someone else’s man, not my man. I got a sample of this one and it was an instant love. It is clean and fresh like a barbershop or fresh laundry but there is something about it that reminds me of the beach, perhaps a spray on sunscreen smell. Not overpowering at all.

Ryahya

at this moment in into prada phase, a clean soapy fragrance that you can never spray too much. the scent is soft & projects well, even longevity is not bad for this clean scent, after 3-4 hours the smell still lingers every now & then.

very nice. I give it 8/10.

bdgarver

My juice is purple not gray so take that for what it’s worth. I get up to 12 hours of fine luxury soap bar with a nice sized bubble that projects but doesn't shout for 8 of those hours. Prada does powder and clean like no other designer and thats what this is. CLEAN!!! You smell like a upstanding person wearing it. Great for professional and formal usage, it’s a great office scent and just about everything else except romantic occasions. I even like the way it ages on my skin. Its very linear throughout but gets better with body heat and my skin chemistry. 8/10 for me

Benjamin_H

The early formulations made this fragrance one of the best soapy smelling ones in the market together with Prada L'Homme. Unfortunately, the recent formulations, whose color appears rather grayish than violet, last mere 30 minutes to max. 1 hour and their sillage is likewise dissapointing. If they were to return this one to the old quality, I wouldn't hasitate to buy at least 2-3 flacons. Unfortunately pretty dissapointing at the moment. I didn't even try to let it sit for a couple of weeks in order to see if maceration could do it some justice.

haus36

Quite literally just a smell of freshly washed bedaheets. Not sure if I like it as a perfume, as a bed scent or home perfume this would be nice.

oTEMPE5To

Very clean scent that suits an office perfectly. I have a bottle from 2017, it lasts 12 ± hours on skin and days on clothing which is not at all what I expected from an edt. Lasts longer than anything else in my collection to be honest. If I could have this kind of performance with the smell of Prada l'homme I think it would be my favorite soapy fragrance.

Knows2Nose

It looks like the grey ones have been reformulated, the ingredients (and count) on the placard of the bottle have slightly changed. Loved the OG but I can see how it’s a bit dated and due for something a little more modern, interested in seeing the difference. Jomashop has the grey one but it’s also more expensive, Gift Express has the old one.

c0rtland

smells great. soft performer. prada does clean so well. i would really get into a higher quality offering with this signature.

DVDEK

Myrrh and soap. Perfect for everyday/all seasons, 7+ hours longevity and very clean.

Siavashlotfi

Should i take this statement as a compliment? :
"You smell like my aunt's laundry room!"
My friend told me when i weared this fragrance once!😉

monamona834

don't ever buy new batches , I have 2022 batch and it is grey water... no projection no longevity

paulskez

I have a 2022 batch that’s light grey too. But performance is very good, can still smell it as a skin scent 8 hrs after application. And has a nice projection bubble for around 3hrs. I think this fragrance is stronger than people think.

Galfar

I have a 2022 fresh batch. The color of the juice is grey and it lasts a sigh. Shame on Loreal

Dt_vino

Gem. Prada is the king of soapy type fragrances. This gives off very luxurious dryer sheet/fresh laundry vibes. Has a surprising amount of depth, with surprisingly good performance as well. Very versatile as pretty much all Prada frags are.

WizBusiness

This absolutely smells to the wearer like a fresh bar of soap like you would find in a hotel; however, the way other people describe this fragrance when they smell it on me is warm and spicy. This has been consistent with every person who’s commented on it. I can get some warmth and spice if I focus, but overwhelmingly it smells soapy to me. My take is that this smells very different when you’re not sitting in the middle of it.

I love it, I wear it a lot in moderate to cool weather. I’ll probably keep a bottle around for as long as I’m able to.

Lord_Prada

It appears the only way to officially buy this brand new now is on Prada’s own web shop. Prada won’t respond to my questions on a discontinuation but it’s not for sale on any other online sources (other than sellers like eBay, fragrancex, fragrancenet, Amazon, etc. but those are old bottles.

irogers217

i’ve read through the comments of the comments, and i’m surprised that no one compared this to the parma violet sweet?

smells extremely clean and fresh, perfect and versatile

10/10

Anabol2336

As far as I can tell there is no amber in this one despite the name. However there is a very nice dose of Leather which I think maybe the reason I love this one so much and strongly prefer it to the more popular L'Homme which in my opinion is a bit too flowery and feminine for a guy. Instead Amber Pour Homme is more masculine and actually has far better performance. Been wearing lately in 100 degree temps and it's easily lasting from morning to midnight sometimes even through a shower clear into the next day. It's just pure cuddly soapiness and freshly showered skin. No shower gel notes either. Perfect for when your out on the prowl wanting to appear totally innocent but also magnificently presentable. Ladies love it and most I've asked chose it over L'Homme

JusttheFactsMan

#158 in my "Tour de Fragrance" and my first time with a Prada fragrance sample, and I must say I wish I'd run across this when I was still bouncing around the corporate executive suite because this scent makes a first-class, white-collar impression of success. It leans male-unisex, but the good ones usually do. The opening is powerfully musky and powdery, and the amber really warms it up, and except for the citrus note, which in my experience never lasts with any fragrance, this stuff will make it to lunch, which seems to be the best we can hope for more often than not. You can wear this in any closed, air-conditioned environment with no fear of offending anyone, although everyone on the elevator will wonder who's wearing this and what it is. Don't overspray, but I'd spritz again after lunch. 100% safe blind buy, absolutely worth the money. I've ordered a full bottle. This scent will accompany me on every consulting engagement.

EJJ

Smells like a soft gentle shampoo. It smells like when you are at a night club and start a conversation with the beautiful woman at the bar and it's so loud that you have get close to speak into her ear and you get a scent of her shampooed hair.

To me it leans feminine but a man can easily pull it off. It definitely smells like the girl in the club's shampooed hair.

11PHOSPHORUS11

It's just an amazing fragrance.

Very complex, evolving gently around the main accord of fougere-amber, so far from linear performance and as comfortable as the softest cashmere knitwear.

Yes, it has this clean, soapy tone and I'm here for it! One could say that with this gentle, balsamic soapiness it might be the masculine equivalent of Chanel No5!

I remember that first time I smelled it I thought of Provance and it's airy lavender fields scorched by the summer sun because it's still very resinous and floral. If you came here looking for a proper soapy beast, try Pour Lui by Oscar de la Renta.

This is a very sophisticated, calm, well thought through and masterfully blended fragrance that goes so well with a suit I've owned many bottles of it since its release, being mercilessly complemented by co-workers. It never disappoints.

The bottle in its simplicity is just beautiful - I care greatly about the packaging as well; luxury is about attention to detail, that's what you pay for and this truly is a luxurious haute parfumerie, but at a reasonable price actually (if you'll find it anywhere as it looks like it has been discontinued).

10/10 all around!

JayR79

Smells like stepping out the bath and not having washed the soap off.

People who say that they can smell spice in this is crazy.?! Its good. But clean and soapy. Nothing spicy ambery about this!

deenzo

Exclusive, luxury soapy like smell that has gotten me compliments. But to be fair I've also suspected some people didn't like it. I think the frag works around the year, however I think it does it best work in the spring och summer. A sexy fragrance that imo can project confidentiality.

Fair price point. However, it doesn't last that long on my skin. Projects for about 1-3 hours and then becomes a skin scent. Almost fully gone after 6h, which is quite negative. I still recommend it though due to its sexy smell

ashroloie

I just remember this smelling like the most amazing expensive soap imaginable. This was the first pricey fragrance I bought myself in 2008 and I would almost be afraid to use it lol. It smelled so nice.

I really dislike how Prada restrict purchasing some of their mens fragrances especially when it comes to where you live. Most of their early established scents are impossible to buy from online retailers in Europe unless your spending hefty money.

America definitely seem to have it easier buying from this house at more reasonable prices going by YouTube.

Vaporized

Exquisite, luxury men's soap, and how a gentleman would feel after lathering himself in his favourite what-not. Also an indication of what the perfumer Daniela Roche-Andrier considers a suave gentleman should smell like :)
I'll admit I was late on the bandwagon, tried it out a couple of times but ended up buying Prada l'homme. Came around to this doozy later on, and am glad I got this. There is no stand out note here, it all culminates into a linear smelling extravagant luxury five star hotel scented soap, 'nuff said! Lovely stuff, perfect for summers and close encounters. The Mrs. is coy about it, doesn't say outright that the scent is glorious, but keeps saying you smell like soap.
All seasonal scent? Yo, except for the long drawn winters.
Unisex? Masculine
Blind buy worthy? If you want to smell like the clean-shaven, hygiene-conscious, top-notch dressed, bonafide gent? Hell yeah
Performance? Longevity is good around 7 to 8 hours with decent projection.

Smellybutgood

Honestly don't know why the hell I love this so much.....other than the fact that it somehow smells effin awesome.

I've tried and tried to move on from this fragrance but it continues to reel me back in.

Smells very luxury, clean, powdery/soapy. Super office safe.

Nothing "old lady" smelling in this at all. Whatever the hell that means.

I love this shit.

caffeinatedpony

Like a blanket in a bottle. Super cozy and clean.

r0gerg

The opening is baby cologne. The dry down is baby powder, soap and vanilla. It smells clean, harmless and elegant. Summarized in those notes it's rare, however I love it, an excellent fragrance for daily use. 7/10.

ismellsomething

Soapy.

sugarcane

It’a funny how all these notes blend to make a soapy scent. I can’t necessarily pick a scent out of these besides maybe geranium.

This smells like clean, powdery soap in a wonderful way. It’s like that scent trail that comes from a fresh shower. It is excellent. I have both this and the intense version. Both are great, I almost feel as if I like this one better. I am sad that it is no longer being made. Every time I spray it I know it will be gone one day.

Everything this perfumer touches is gold. Perhaps my fave perfumer out there.

justinmartini314

This one is quite possibly my favorite fragrance of all time. Something about it was so suave and classy to me. It's hard to explain why I like this so much because interestingly there really aren't any notes listed that are a favorite of mine and none of the notes really stand out. Instead what I get from this one is an extremely clean and classy soapy smell. It really does smell like an expensive bar of soap you would find in a five-star hotel. So elegant yet wearable for any occasion. Extremely versatile and ultra mass pleasing. A timeless classic and a fragrance I will always have in my rotation. Currently have 3 full-sized bottles of this one. 10/10

fragrantlyenhanced

calm and clean. masterfully blended. its soapy, resinous, slightly woody and lots more... more masculine than l homme but still reserved. initial opening of blast of neroli with only the slightest hint of orange peel. cardamom and safran push thru accompanied with a smooth vanilla like, labdanum mix with a strong myrrh that truly elevate the whole fragrance. it reminds me a lot of these hand made middle eastern soap bars. the amber is slightly warm. has a hint of leather with earthy musk of patchouli in the base. its warm and clean. relaxing, elegant, friendly, musky and soapy, expensive smelling. really complex and hard to get bored of. theres too much going on with this one. difficult to really pin point all the notes after wearing it for a while. all notes just come together becoming this warm soapy accord. highly slept on and i'll say this is one of the greatest men's fragrances ever made in the soapy category. really nice performance and projection, great versatility. always had a nice compliment wearing this one. discontinued, but if you can find a bottle it well worth the price. got two 100ml bottles and im tryin to make em it last. 10/10

verzosa

As a female I've had a bottle of this for years. I was much more adventurous and gender neutral about the way I wore perfume a little over 10 years ago. I love this! It has an expensive soapy quality to it.

This has a delicate nature to it, but whispers masculinity. I've never smelt this in passing on anyone, but I am very impressed with this.

Apache1830

When I saw all those notes, I thought of something completely different

I get a main soap accord, very refined, with a "dark" nuance coming probably from the myrrh

Makes me think a bit of Acqua di Parma Essenza

8.5/10

taxdoctor

I have never smelled something else like this before and don’t think I ever will. Yes, it’s soapy but doesn’t call to mind any common soap or detergent or shampoo or shower gel for that matter. It feels like this fragrance must have slipped out of a time traveler’s bag from at least a century ahead.

antibrand

I emailed Prada April 2023 and was told that amber pour homme is discontinued, yet it is still for sale on the website. 🤷

This is a masterpiece in my opinion. Clean and fresh yet has a warmth that can come through in the cold air. Niche level alchemy here. Absolutely phenomenal.

nguyentrantuan88

Prada Amber Pour Homme, also known as Prada Man, is a fragrance that exudes sophistication and elegance. From the moment you first spray it on, you'll be captivated by its intriguing blend of warm, spicy, and woody notes.

The opening notes of bergamot, mandarin, and neroli give way to a heart of cardamom, geranium, and vetiver. The base notes of patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla, and sandalwood provide a warm and inviting finish to this masculine fragrance.

One of the things that makes Prada Amber Pour Homme so special is its versatility. It's suitable for any occasion, whether you're dressed up for a formal event or simply heading out for a casual day. This fragrance is perfect for any season, and it can be worn day or night.

Another standout feature of Prada Amber Pour Homme is its longevity. It lasts for several hours without fading, so you can enjoy the scent throughout the day. Additionally, the sillage, or the fragrance trail it leaves behind, is just right, making it noticeable without being overpowering.

Overall, Prada Amber Pour Homme is a fantastic fragrance that any man would be lucky to have in their collection. Its unique blend of warm and spicy notes makes it a timeless classic, and its versatility and longevity make it a great choice for any occasion. If you're looking for a fragrance that exudes sophistication and elegance, Prada Amber Pour Homme is definitely worth trying.

cologneboi

mmmmmmmmm. fantastic, $81 worth every penny. soapy powdery and clean. anyone could pull this off. this could possibly work year round. unique. i got compliments the first day i wore it. love it.

Joalo

Clean smelling fragrance, good performance, for hot weather

dayonee

I remember really liking this when it first came out but didn't give much thought to this (or any other fragrances, for that matter) because I was a one-signature-perfume guy. Fast forward 17 years, trying it for the first time, and this is.. yes.. definitely a gem.

This is a gentleman's perfume. Smells like a super luxurious, expensive soap. A bit like a laundry detergent but in an awesome way; if Ant-man fell into a washing machine, without the soiled clothes but just water with detergent in it, I'd imagine this is what it'll smell like. Very pleasing and relaxing. Classy, well put-together vibe. Perfect office scent, definitely top 3. I thought Prada L'homme was good, which I LOVE and always will, but I think this is even better. This is a Hall of Fame scent.

Shoutout to @Wpietri34 for the swap.

As a younger physician, I understand one shouldn't wear a "loud" fragrance for numerous reasons. That being said. It doesn't mean you can't have anything on- there are so many chemicals and fragrances in lotion, soap, disinfectant etc. So I have been wearing Prada Amber Pour Hoome one spray chest and one spray neck below my scrubs. I am not a surgeon so I am not in the OR, but at times I am doing bedside procedures. I get compliments when I get close to nursing staff but never hear about compliments from a distance. I really want something with longevity and not a big projection and after one hour this is it. The perfect hospital/work scent that just "does it." Clean, soapy. Perfect if you want to smell good and not stick out.

Lord_Prada

@Sauce God - I am in the US. I have been purchasing a new bottle once (or twice) a year from macys.com for years since I no longer could find it in stores. Macys nolonger has it. Pradas fragrance webshop hasn’t had the fragrance available for quite sometime but now it’s there… perhaps they came across some old stock and put it up for sale. It seemed to get discontinued recently within the last 6 months… but I can’t confirm that since Prada is officially selling it at this moment.

RGH01

Amber Pour Homme is the scent of a refined and modern gentleman. It opens with bright and juicy top notes of neroli, bergamot and orange blossom before developing a warming and musky heart of myrrh, geranium and vetiver. This smells like a fantastically expensive and classy bar of soap, with natural spices and florals.

In the dry down is where this fragrance shines - sweet saffron and vanilla join the myrrh and musk to create a warm and enveloping scent bubble. Labdanum, leather and patchouli add a smooth darkness which builds mystery and sensuality while still staying somewhat bright and airy.

Prada has always produced fantastic soapy fragrances, and this one has to be the best of the bunch. Unlike their modern day releases, this scent is creative, unique and masterfully executed with high quality materials. If you want to smell clean and soapy without being generic then this is a must have, it’s just a shame this kind of execution is no longer seen in Prada’s current releases.

Lord_Prada

At the time of writing this, Prada’s official web shop is selling this. I ordered one expecting a newer, reformulated version… but it’s an older version by puig and the juice is purple. At some point L’Oréal took over pradas fragrances and that’s when the juice turned gray (a crime!) BUT… the gray juice seems to perform slightly better than puigs last formulation. I am still unsure if this is truly discontinued, though.

mwillis2217

Think I finally found my signature scent. Absolutely love this stuff. This is so underrated and under appreciated. This was a blind buy and this was 10 times better then what I expected.

rasquinho

I've basically worked my way back in time through Daniela's Prada career, and it's interesting to see that perhaps she started out with her vision fully realised and then the new releases through the years became more and more mass-appealing for sales purposes. Carbon is the Sauvage spin off, L'Homme is a safe Iris, and this....... I can barely believe it was a designer release at this point.

I'm not very good at being able to identify saffron notes to be honest, so I find that hard to detect. What I do get, undoubtedly, and heavily in this is labdanum. Maybe that was more common in 2006? It feels so far removed from current trends to use labdanum prominently in this way.

Ultimately, this is complex, rich, deep, and something to be appreciated by those in the community. A far cry from a different era in 2023.

omar96

I Love it

it is relaxing + pleasing :) :)

Its downside is that it gets boring from time to time. You will have to miss it for some time and come back and reuse it :)
But it is Pleasing :) :)

Mrrob

An outstanding extension of the shower. I’d say this would be appropriate for men or woman and no notes in this come off as masculine. The smell of clean white soap. Only slightly citric in the opening but faintly. This is not a sexy scent but because it smells hygienic aka soap I feel people will find the wearer attractive because you smell clean. Best uses are in neutral weather a perfect bed scent or for weekends during the day running errands and also after a shave as a nice alternative to traditional fougeres. Excellent for what it’s trying to execute

Hamza_Chaudry03

My favorite fragrance from all of the Prada fragrances. Just amazing, clean, and so much more!

Lord_Prada

Apparently this has been discontinued. I bought a couple bottles from a discount site to keep me going for a while but the prices on old stock is rising so I can’t keep doing that. The intense version is also off the market so I guess I’ll most likely make the switch to L’Homme or possibly one of pradas unisex fragrances (some of them have a similar soapy scent as amber does). I hope that maybe Prada is simply reformulating amber and it will resurface at a later date.

will_i_smell

So...let me start with the fact that I LOVE this. Is all the things people have shared; soapy, spicy, clean, fresh, but with depth.

I haven't used in a while and went to smell the atomizer, just for the hell of it - as I often do with frags I miss. Anyway...it hit me. I smelled something VERY familiar, but not in a great way. I wracked my brain for like 20mins, sniffing until it gave me a headache. BAM....calamine lotion!! The pink stuff we used to use as kids to put on mosquito bites/ chicken pox. If you remember that, and you have this fragrance, see if you get it.

mwtx

I like this. People say it's super mature or whatever and I can see that, but don't let that deter you if you're younger. If you are looking for a clean soapy vibe this is for you. It smells like expensive soap pretty much. I can see the mature thing but it doesn't scream mature to the point where you couldn't pull it off as a younger person. I've never gotten a compliment from this one (not a compliment magnet), but I just wear it for myself if I feel like the vibe fits. It's easy on the nose. I put a huge dent in a 50ml, took a break from it, just visited it again today and still think it's a solid scent.

I thought the performance was kinda meh at first, but now for some reason I notice it for quite a while. Idk if that has to do with maceration or my nose just playing tricks on me, but the performance is a solid 5 hours at least on me.

El Caballo Blanco

The most BEAUTIFUL opening I ever smelled. Worth getting especially being discontinued. Smells better than Prada L'homme to me.

SEXY, MATURE, OFFICE, GENTLEMAN

1037

My favorite bottle in my collection, which I'll admit subconsciously makes me like a fragrance more. I'm amazed at how this manages to smell so clean and soapy even though the deeper and warmer notes like myrrh are very noticeable. I'm a sucker for scents that manage to be spicy and clean at the same time. I wear this as a 27 year old woman and I'm not bothered by people saying this is for mature men because I understand what they mean. This does NOT smell like most modern designer men's fragrances that are just synthetic messes and all have that same generic cologne smell no matter how much the actual notes differ. I like fragrances that are clean, powdery, spicy, aromatic, floral, and not overly sweet, so this checks a lot of boxes for me. I'll agree to disagree that this is strictly "FOR MEN", because I notice this trend in the reviews for a lot of men's fragrances I like to wear. Half the reviews say it's too feminine, the other half say it's for manly men...?? Eventually I started to realize that this phenomenon just mean's it doesn't smell Sauvage or BdC. It's unisex to me, so I will continue enjoying it.

boffin1979

Got the very last 50ml bottle from Chemist Warehouse, Midland Western Australia for $60. I wasn't planning on buying it, but I knew it was a discontinued frag so I tried a sample. And yes, my man Joy Amin was right: this frag is a masterpiece. Not a macho or bad-boy scent by any stretch of the imagination. But instead, it is of a man with class, composure, culture and taste who takes personal hygiene seriously. He's cool when under pressure. He's content with being himself and doesn't follow the in-crowd. A clean, soapy yet astringent fragrance and I love it! This isn't a clean, out of the shower scent; this is an out of the Turkish bath scent. MEN ONLY!

CreepyKid

Amber is an odd name choice for this fragrance as it's straight up a floral, herbal, powdery, Italian soap style fragrance. From start to finish it remains a classy soap scent, the kind you'd likely find in some expensive Mediterranean hotel. I can see how some people think this is akin to a urinal cake and may not enjoy it. I can also see how some may find it old lady like because of it's powdery soapy nature. That said it's not offensive or cloying and is a stellar performer. Good longevity lasting all day on clothing. Projection is nice as well, not huge but enough to where you can smell it in close proximity. Prada Amber isn't a fragrance for young guys, unless you have the vibe to wear it or you dress up in suits most of the time. This is a mature fragrance mostly meant for older men, probably much older than I am being in my 30s, but I wear it as it fits me well in my casual ways.

Addjscents

Barber shop fragrance. I bought it under recommendation of school of scent and I personally didn’t like it. It maybe smell good to others but this meh for me. Sold this one.

pierogisandwich

I have limited experience with Prada's soapy florals, but I've been loving them so far. Prada L'homme? Outstanding. The Luna Rossa line? Stellar. Prada Amber? Completely turned me off. I know I'm way off base after reading other reviews beneath me, but this one does not hit my nose right. The soapiness and spice clash in an odd way I can only describe as a polished gentleman in a suit standing inside an incense/soap stand at a Renaissance Faire. It just doesn't mesh for me.

Fragility

Beware of reformulation: vintage bottles with the smaller Prada logo and gray-ish juice seem to perform slightly worse actually. My newer bottle seems to fair better.
P.S 10/10 signature worthy if you prefer clean smells

stevebayerin

Not impressed. The ladies don't seem to be impressed either even when up close.

Smells a bit like a yellow flow air refresher and an elderly man's scent.

tedixvitok

I'm gonna have to go against the hype and say that it's not worth blind buying. You probably won't even get your money back if you don't like it. I sold my unused bottle for 70% of the original price and even that was a hard sell. It does smell pleasant, but as a young guy, amber feels quite mature and not "chic" enough. If you're 35 and under, l'homme is the better option for you tbh. I understand amber has its target audience and it will work pretty well for those people, but prada's decision to discontinue was justified in my opinion. And don't get me wrong, I love prada's soapiness in infusion d'iris cedre, l'homme, d'iris etc., but amber just doesn't feel as effortless and stylish as the other options.

Olivet09!

This is one of my favorite fragrances for men. There are not many florals in the men’s department, but this one certainly is. You can put it on in the morning and it will last all day and through the night. The sillage is strong so a little bit goes a long way. It cost in the range of the average Prada fragrance, but it will smell like much much more. This fragrance is pure luxury. It is the only fragrance I have ever worn twice when I ran out the first time.

instant_memory

I can't believe this fragrance was discontinued.
There isn't a similar alternative or even close to it.
Even the (very good) Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense has several differences.
There are so many clones for other famous perfumes that I wonder how this one got away from the known copiers.

hoffmanvp

This fragrance is the definition of luxury. Like many others, to me this smells like the soap you'd smell at a high end hotel. Incredibly soapy, with wonderful warm spices, but always feels clean. Performance is quite good too, to the point where I would say not to wear this in high heat as it may be a little headache inducing. Classy, clean and surprisingly versatile as I can imagine wearing this to a formal event, but also a nice stroll at the park. Awesome frag and a shame it's been overshadowed by L'Homme. I wish they'd bring this line back.

newbie-in-frag(ame)

A rather complex scent: spicy (very spicy at times), powdery, clean, sweet (but not). Prada Amber definitely takes you on an olfactory journey. It seems it lasts longer in warmer weather. It stands above most designer frags, because of its superior quality.

Since it's getting harder and harder to find this juice (is that the case everywhere?), grab it, even if you haven't sampled it, and if it is not to your liking, you can make your money back (and then some).

Enjoy!

tka33

Luxurious soap with a slightly warm twist. This fragrance is incredible and super inoffensive. Can pretty much be worn in any season and any occasion. Prada really does a good job with the clean soapy scents and I prefer this over L’homme. Sad that it’s been discontinued.

JonnyBadass

Layer this over Another 13 after a nice bath/shower, put on a nice robe, and go give your lover a kiss on the cheek. Thank me later.

123review

Like every reviewer has said… it’s soap in a bottle. Powdery floral and slight vanilla drydown. Super potent that last and last… the atomizer is a laser.

Latelah90

This is my first and maybe last review. Its about my signature amber homme - now going with second 100ml bottle. I absolutely love it. Its totally allrounder. U can wear it anytime. Maybe not hottest summerdays but oh boy wait for the cooler evening.

Every note is just amazingly beautiful. As said its very versatile but still amazing projection and sillage as perfect as it gets.

Alessio_27

This fragrance smells clean and pure. It brings me joy and pleasure, as its very comfortable and easy to wear.
A fragrance to reset. Perfect after shower, just to smell clean and nice. It's fresh as well, but not too much to be honest.
Depending on your skin has a very variable performance, it's not definitely long lasting but still good enough.
One of my favourite!

AngelovD

This is absolutely magnificent. I have tested so many niche hyped fragrances and these compared to this one is like comparing a Bugatti with a Renault and this for a fraction of a price that you would usually pay for the regular Amouage, Xerjoff and so on.The scent is so beautiful, it's like you are using an extremely expensive french soap, while having a bath in a super luxurious hotel in the Alps. That's how this makes me feel. For an EDT the longevity is good, but when the scent is so beautiful who gives a damn about longevity and projection when it makes you feel just right. After all, this is what a fragrance should do about you. Not to mention that it is a wonderful scent for the office. Also, in my opinion this scent is a perfect signature scent. A 10/10 masterpiece from Prada, deff get this one, if you can.

Scent of gentleman

Prada Amber pour Homme can be easily grabbed for any occasion. Gentle enough for office, sweet and sexy enough for formal and casual night outs. Uncomplicated amber fragrance. No bold statement and head turning type of scent. Subtle but performing quite well on me. Safe blind buy if you are into this kind of fragrance.

Fragility

The wintery, powdery, ambery cousin of Salvatore Ferragamo’s Acqua Essenziale Colonia. Love clean and soapy smells and this one hits the nail on the head!

Sauce God

I expected this to be much more of a woody, spicy, and especially ambery experience, but overall it's quite clean and powdery. The powderiness combined with the clean musks and white florals create what most people will describe as 'soapy'.

This is not the style of fragrance I enjoy wearing. It's quite literally just a smell of freshly washed bedsheets, as a bed scent or room spray this would probably be nice.

thesethgyan

My favorite soapy fragrance. It just makes you smell classy and non offensive. Love the memories it conjures.

Oloriffic

By far the most powdery scent in my entire collection, gaggingly so. (I have an older bottle), this beast cannot be sprayed beyond 2 pumps or you’ll be sorry for days…days. Not the worst scent, it’s very classy, if you go lightly…but it’s too easy to go overboard…like having your mouth washed out with soap too often…but I wouldn’t know because that never happened to me because I was an angel 😇😈😂 Performance is beyond 10/10.

Hamza_Chaudry03

Absolutely amazing! It's a 10/10 for me

Tacosalad

French milled soap from a resort or nice hotel. It’s so similar that’s all I need to say to describe it. Ultimate office fragrance and versatility in general is where it stands out. I find it hard to believe anyone would be offended by this scent. Who doesn’t want to smell clean and this smells niche clean. Nothing but quality and fine perfumery. Lasts 7-9 hours , best on my chest to project about arm’s length. Day time is best, can pull this off for everything except date night. Quality Prada versatile scent without Iris! Ageless and will never go out of style. Smells similar to Bvlgari Neroli Wood but with better performance and less citrus.

9/10

mossssh

smell like washing machine powder, linear soapy to my nose.

rupmac

smell: open with some kind of hair spray like smelling, and then fancy hotel's soap come up with some bitter note.
rating: 7.5 of 10
projection: 3-5ft
longevity: 7-8 hrs
occasion: any occasion
not suitable for: none (very versatile)
note from me: if you don't like bitter note, you won't like it.

ktp2309

I can keep only one perfume for the rest of my life...I choose this one!!!

Clean, warm, luxurious, powdery and soapy. French perfumery at it's finest.

I smell and feel like a million bucks when I wear this and it lasts for days.

Like Chanel No.5 it never gets dated...It's just waiting there on the shelf to be discovered when the boys turn to men.

Heinrich_B

Very good and solid fragrance. Lasts and projects really well. I think that it is strong in his own bubble like 0.5 m around you, yet i dont think it pushes on distance. But it's really strong around you.

Smells clean, and sophisticated.
One of the few that is still in production and has character.

Momothebom

I linear scent that smells like fresh soap. Very versatile, lasts and projects. Don't over spray.

stalal

Squeaky clean soap. cute but dated. will keep a 50 ml in my collection as a nostalgic novelty!

fragranceconstruct

This smells like a posh 5 star hotel bathroom that has many high quality complimentary soaps. The scent leaves a very nice scent bubble on the wearer and the aura this scent gives off is one of trust and comfort due to this unique high quality soapy scent profile that is fresh, slightly spicy, ambery and powdery and complex, there's nothing like it in the designer fragrance realm.

daveugber

The cleanest, purest soap-scrubbed skin. An anytime, anywhere fragrance. Two sprays lingers all day.

iL-J_L-Ji

The scent is a rustic soap with herb granules combined with the smell of wet tiles after a shower on a summer day, it captures the essence of clean, mature with a refine subtle masculine presents.

Bcase01

It lasts about 2 hours on my skin in Australian weather. It very much does not project. Clean soapy nice.

Batch 93161 .. Nov 2019 .. a bottle made in Spain..
24 hours ago from now specifically yesterday.. October 3rd , 2022.. I wore 10 sprays of Prada Amber pour homme EDT for the first time when I went to celebrate the night of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus in her beautiful ancient church in Shubra street, Cairo.
What a beautiful event and what a beautiful fragrance !.. I swear that until this moment as I write my review and I am still smelling the fragrance from my body !.. and I have not taken a shower since yesterday!.. The fragrance is very soft and clean with a slight sweetness mixed with incense!.. with moderate dynamic aromas .. increases with high temperature and movement of the body !..but very very long lasting on my skin..suitable for spring and summer and fall nights.. really a level of beauty that has never passed my nose before.. a special thank for the Perfumer Mrs Daniela Andrie 🌹.. really its a fine art ✨9/10.. also I would to thank Mr Sebastian Jara for his advice 🌹..

A Less green version of Prada L’eau

LawSuth

This is not a leather scent, but here's what I get: the interior of a new, unworn, formal man's shoe, with a new, unworn formal sock inside. Smooth, svelte, understated and regal.

alien_with_blue_eyes

Forget Prada L'homme, in my opinion that one is not at all soapy but powdery, but this is a pure luxurious soap, a miracle of smell and I even think that because of this pure soap it is not a blind buy, but you will get compliments for sure because few people wear this and the smell is really wow. If you want to smell like expensive hotel soaps, there is nothing better than this. Niche quality for little money!!!

Ferra_Verto

Beautiful soapy & musky amber fougere, perfect all year round. It's a fantastic layering scent as well, works with a myriad of fragrance categories.
Definitely a worthwhile addition.

jgallomajano

For an EDT the longevity of this fragrance is great. I am surprised that it is not an EDP, because a little goes a long way (2 sprays max). It reminds me of a barbershop because it smells like Pinaud's Clubman aftershave but with a more complex and luxurious quality. However, when applying the fragrance, I recommend to dab it onto your skin. If you rub it in, the fragrance develops a powdery aroma.

sachabaylinstern

Higher quality Palmolive blue coloured DISH SOAP. And I really enjoy it.

alexmare3

smells like the yellow johnsons baby shampoo xD

anthern

I saw this in a local fragrance shop and recognised it as one that I had been planning on buying for some time. Thank god I didn't blind buy this because to me it smells exactly like a semi-freshly cleaned public bathroom in a mid tier shopping centre. I let it sit on my skin for an hour or so to see if it became any more pleasant and that never happened. Ended up having to wash it off because I genuinely couldn't stand the smell. It's very rare that i actively despise a fragrance, but Prada Amber Pour Homme managed to do it.

YourKnight

I wanted, in fact fully expected, to love Prada Amber Pour Homme. I have several other men's fragrances from Prada I've enjoyed over the years. This one is great, if you are looking to feel, and smell, freshly showered. I remember someone saying it smelled like fresh milled luxury soap at a high-end Parisian hotel. It really does, and that's not a bad thing if that's what you're going for. I wear it to work, knowing that it (and I) will not offend, and that it will neither last nor project for very long. Again, if you want powdery and sweet (oddly listed above at the end of the accords) then this is great. If you're heading out on a date with someone other than your mom... not so much.

Fragrantic

Scott Mills and Chris Stark brought me here!

SterlingArcher76

Easily one of my all-time favorite designer fragrances. Beautiful and luxurious soapy smell. Sits close to the skin with a moderate sillage but absolutely crazy performance. I smell it on me for literally 8 plus hours.
I go to this often as a great office scent along the lines of L'Homme but this one is much richer and deeper. I love both L'Homme and Amber Por Homme.
If you like the way Prada does that soapy neroli clean fragrance, give this one a try.

Sadly, its no longer available on Pradas website but still available with discounters and retail.

This is a great soapy scent! I love it! Longevity is good. Inoffensive and office safe.

euvs71

The perfect inoffensive clean office fragrance. The fact that it is somewhat in the shadow of Prada L'Homme is only a plus for me. Not many people talk about it, but in my opinion it's the better fragrance. Performance is great, but it wears close to the skin, almost like you have washed your face with soap, but that feeling lasts 12 hours. This is a must have!

hussrahal

Beautiful.
Got so many compliments my second day wearing it, projects well for the first 2 hours, lasts an easy 8 hours, awesome everyday scent, so fresh and clean, better than what I expected, no one can hate this, awesome scent!

Steven221283

They weren't joking when they said this is soapy. That's all it smells of really, a nice, generic bar of soap.
It's ok, I just don't personally want to smell like I've just used an entire bar of soap on myself to the point that I overtly smell of it. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to smell clean and all, but smelling like a bar of soap is taking it a bit too far.

tecfield

An interesting well blended clean feeling fragrance. It super inoffensive and very unisex to my nose. There is not one single note that I can point out that is loud and dominant. The amazing part is that with a close deep smell I can tell most of the listed notes but 1 foot away it is impossible. I feel this is more like a spring/fall fragrance but also good enough for year around and definitely office safe. There is something unique about its freshness that I cannot put my finger on which makes it even better and more interesting. I would say this is a good addition to any collection. For those who like me don't like a deep neroli note, neroli in this is very nice and fresh.

thatradoo

Imagine coming out of a Turkish hammam where you have been cleaned so thoroughly like there’s no tomorrow and you are ready to meet the creator. Fresh, clean, powdery.

lessthanzero

@dragonballdbz No one seems to know for sure. It is still live on the USA Prada website.

(google "prada amber pour homme prada dot com" to see the webpage featuring pour homme.)

Aroman123

This is one of my favorites! Watch a lot of people who rave about Prada Lhomme, but I think that this one is WAY better. Extremely underrated! I’m a young guy, but to me this doesn’t smell dated, and people love the way it smells! Absolute stunner, Prada really knows how to do soapy clean, and this one lasts longer than you would think. Perfect office scent for me :)

dragonballdbz

@ lessthanzero : Prada Amber Pour Homme is put of production now. No?

lessthanzero

This fragrance was released in 2006, and I remember vividly how enchanted I was with the smell of this fragrance which, as a small town boy, I only encountered via samples in glossy magazines. The beautiful ads featuring Eddie Klint certainly didn't hurt either.

I recently bought a 10ML sample of Prada Amber based solely on these memories from my adolescence. It is a fine, even a lovely scent. Very modern for its time, and does not smell dated in 2022. I don't know why, but I was not expecting it to be SO amber-y on the dry-down. But the top is all soap and clean neroli powder.

I want to point out that 2006 was an absolute blockbuster year for men's designer fragrances. That year (I was 16 years old), saw the release of:

Prada's "Prada Amber Pour Homme"
Yves Saint Laurent's "L'Homme"
Hermes' "Terre D' Hermes"

I'd argue that these three fragrances, all still in production, were all genre-defying scents that changed (for the better) the trajectory of men's fragrances.

(I'd also like to give honorable mention to Lanvin's 2005 "Arpege Pour Homme" - a close cousin of Prada Amber, but with an iris note. Arpege Pour Homme is sadly discontinued, and the legendary Alber Elbaz, the erstwhile creative director during Lanvin's early oughts Golden Age, tragically passed away from COVID in 2021.)

weirddavey

Blind bought it. Sprayed it once on my had in the evening, I thought it smelled like public restroom, nothing special, quite disappointing, actually. Woke up the next morning thinking what smells so good. This was it. Ordered the 2nd bottle same morning. This is literally what everyone says - a scent of soap in a very special way. This is gonna stay in my collection forever.

thestarcrusher

Covert powerhouse. This fragrance is so incredibly clean and last the entire day. This fragrance won't shout for attention but will make you stand out for smelling cleaner than your average person.

jbuzzz

Edit…. a year later, I reacquired this after letting it go. I did a 180 on it, I missed it and have to admit that I liked it before but just didn’t think it was for me.. like it didn’t represent me and the way I wanted to smell. I still think it has a feminine lean in a way, but in a way it doesn’t anymore somehow. I think being on skin makes a big difference, as well as my tastes evolving some after smelling a thousand things since then. and now I really dig it. It’s still powdery but not in a way that I dislike with some frags. I also pick up on the myrrh now, along with whatever else that makes the blend enjoyable. I hate, and don’t hate, that I have to admit that this one is actually a really good frag. Glad I have it back. Also, I got rid of Prada LR Carbon and PRL Sport. I guess I outgrew those, and grew into this one.

I've tried and tried to like this, even after letting it sit for a few months. I just can't get on board with it for some reason. It leans a bit too feminine for my taste, in the obvious powdery way. I love some powdery when done a certain way, like with Prada Luna Rossa Sport.. but this one isn't my jam unfortunately, and I know a lot of guys love this one. Great quality fragrance like the Prada line goes, great performance and projection as well.

OHLAWDTOMFAWD

Not for me. I think the scent is fine from a quality perspective and I could see people liking it. But its definitely not one I care for.

The scent profile I get is like lotion mixed with a makeup bag. The powderiness of it is a bit much for my nose.

To each their own though.

@dragonballdbz

La nuit de l'homme Bleu Electrique, is quite close to this. I find that it's very similar, soapy with cardamom... Overall evokes the same relaxed feeling in me. One huge thing that's missing in Bleu electrique is the Saffron note, but overall it's like more modern and a bit more playful version of this fragrance. Also if you don't like lavender that might be an issue, it smells more western... Hope it helps though!

dragonballdbz

This was the best perfume that I ever wore. Best ever, bar none. But now that it is gone, I feel empty.

Can anyone tell me few perfumes which are closest to it? I need the calmness and warmth from the bottom notes.

Thank you

gxbjw

Luxurious bar soap.

I mean, you might have read comments like this, but really, there ain’t no other way to describe Amber Pour Homme.

It doesn’t even give any other impression. Just clean. Clean and smells good. That’s it.

There’s no age bracket to wear it — I don’t care if you’re 8 or 80, you can rock this perfume. Also suitable for any situation.

Longevity is 7 hours, with low but consistent projection.

It’s discontinued, but I don’t have any intention to purchase. I’d certainly would prefer to go for Prada L’Homme Intense.

Basman

I enjoy this but it isn't a love for me.
We used to have a bar of soap that this completely reminds me of and that's it.
Just a bar of soap.
To me that is a bit boring.
I've had a few compliments with it and nobody's going to dislike how you smell but i like something a little bold.

Androus

Blind bought this because reviews say that it smells like soap. Not much risk in buying soap, right? The problem is, I don't think it smells like soap. Soap smells aromatic on the sweet side. This smells of dried incense right from the start. Don't sniff the fragrance up close like I did, it can be cloying for the first half an hour.

When it dries down, it settles down to a modern take on incense. Imagine James Bond infiltrating Shaolin Temple in monk robes and insists on putting on fragrance, this would be it. Scent summary: modern incense powder.

This is a good scent for certain professions because it has no character of its own. While most fragrances have a sort of character to them: loud (the scent kidnaps every nose in the room); sexy (trying to add impression points); you get my point? Amber Pour Homme wants to remain invisible. Therefore, I would recommend this to people in certain professions that need to be intimate but do not want to impress like pastors, counsellors, teachers, dentists, chiropractors, nurses, lab researchers, etc.

In conclusion, because Amber Pour Homme has no character of its own, it well brings out the character of the wearer. I love it for occasions when I purely want to smell nice without trying to make a statement.

Child Chemist

Amber PH is the first bottle of perfume that I finished completely. It reminds me of a chic, modern hotel which I stayed at while in Barcelona. The bathroom had shiny black marble tiles, bright white porcelain, and green accents all around. Amber PH is this smell; Soapy and modern, with a touch of luxury. The musk and incense are tame. This perfume would be great in a professional setting.

Cocosette

Revisiting this fragrance after quite a long time. I’ve had a small sample bottle of this one for years and never got to buy a larger bottle because it doesn’t get me excited, as for example, its darker brother, Amber Intense.
This one is definitely soapy and suits cool and dry weather best. In California yes, in Louisiana, no (maybe a few days in wintertime).

Waldo Jeffers

This does smell like luxurious scented soap, with a saffron element in the background. It is high quality but not for everyone in my opinion. Men should be aware that this is pretty unisex bordering on feminine. I enjoy this but only in certain situations. For example, pre-pandemic, my office environment was formal— suits/ties everyday. I wore this frequently then year round in all but very warm weather, when it can be cloying. In other words, it is to me a formal daytime scent for men who do not mind smelling like perfumed soap. Now that my office has become more casual, I rarely wear this. It seems out of place to me for general casual wear. It also seems out of place to me for men who might have a fear of seeming anything other than fully masculine. I don’t mean to disparage this, because it is very well done, but this is a bit of a “pretty boy” scent in my opinion. If that is who you are, then you can use it freely, but it is not for all men

limoncrick

Which one I should buy! Made in France or made in Spain?

Monke go brr

To me this smells 50% like LNDL by YSL and I'm very suprised no one mentioned this! You can smell the cardamom and saffron immidietly. It smells very oriental and yes, a bit soapy too.

Imagine combining YSL's La nuit De l'Homme with Prada L'Homme and adding significant ammount of saffron, while dialing down performance to the minimum... You literally get this.

Smells like very delicate combination of cardamom, saffron, amber and soapy molecules. And yet, unless you take your time to inspect what are you smelling, it can just smells kinda pleasant and clean and oriental.

Unfortunetally my bottle was broken and the projection was soooo abysmal that I decided to return it. I will buy LNDL or Prada L'Homme instead.

My thanks to Luna_J for the best review i've ever seen on a fragrance. Thank you for your time.

The comparison to soap that has been made by so many was part of what led me to try this fragrance, but as I have come to love it I’ve wanted to better understand the composition’s underlying complexity. It has taken me awhile to sort out my impressions because everything I'm describing happens on a very subtle level. Here goes:

The opening is interesting…It is cold, bearing the piercing (if not quite metallic) mix of delicate flower-meets-carrot sweetness and papery muskiness we’d associate with iris notes. This is not included in the notes pyramid but is such a staple from the PRADA line (from Infusion through L’Homme) that its signature is hard to miss. Neroli and orange blossom contribute to fruity sweetness, with the neroli persisting (as does the iris) clean through to the heart of the composition. This is a ticklish phase, as the cardamom appears here as a stealthily spicy complement to the floral-citric notes, like green cardamom pods used to flavour certain Indian deserts, contributing an impression of cool, candied creaminess rather than heat... The secret weapon here is myrrh, which can smell rich and soapy (as it will later) and also sweet in a way that recalls root beer or cream soda. The result is a top that is cold yet candy-like, citric and tender in a kind of hollow but complex impression of watery eau-de-cologne fruitiness that is given substance and clarity by a very clean vetiver note. Amber Pour Homme is not a linear scent per se, but its development is discreet. It should be listened to carefully though, as it is in the heart that things get gratifying.

I have great respect for Daniela (Roche) Andrier’s subtlety in composing Amber Pour Homme, as she manages to bring different facets out of her materials as the top-heart-base development progresses. The much-discussed ‘soapiness’ is delivered through a cunning undercutting of floral notes and creamy textures with just a touch of bitterness. Real bar soap must always smell just a little of lye, which smells bitter (try biting on a bar of soap and you’ll see what I mean); the ‘soap’ accord of Amber Pour Homme relies on powdery materials like orange blossom, but also on things that supply a hint of bitterness: cardamom can feel creamy but also just a touch bitter in excess (as when an excess of ground cardamom is added to a pot of coffee), just as myrrh can introduce a savour that is almost chewy or chalky that, despite its sweetness, can also reveal facets that smell burnt, rubbery, or even sour. Here, these textural tendencies are blended beautifully into the kind of nuances you'll only detect after many wearings – none stand out distinctly, yet the fragrance has a low-key smooth, substantial, sensuousness. It is this warmth that belies any banal assumptions that ‘soap’ would in this case mean simply ‘detergent chemicals.’ The blending of saffron and cardamom, in particular, is terribly attractive – both are materials that can smell almost plasticky in their raw natural form – dense yet cool and remote (saffron threads have always smelled to me of pure sex, but also paradoxically of vinyl…)

Just as it should, the base brings the heart home and nestles it in the skin. Labdanum is often used to construct an impression of leather…this is *not* the intense sweaty saddle leather experienced in classic, isobutyl quinoline/castoreum/aldehyde leathers such as Aramis, Bel Ami, or Antaeus, but an impression of dry plushness that is closer to suede, especially with some help from a very measured use of patchouli that mostly contributes to a grounding texture. Here, married to the ‘buttery’ quality one sometimes gets from iris it feels like an approximation of musky skin in the best possible way. Vanilla is not obvious nor edible here but adds a certain earthy allure, an intimate space buffering the contact of warm flesh (labdanum, myrrh, saffron, tonka bean) with a white dress shirt (iris with ‘starchy’ musks, with a touch of lavender & geranium’s springtime-clothesline fougère vibe.)

I was saddened to hear that Amber Pour Homme might be discontinued, both because it puts something lovely out of reach but also because the perfume landscape (and certainly PRADA’s line) will be poorer without it. In my opinion, this fragrance deserves the iconic status of being considered the reference 'soapy' men's fragrance… Aside from being highly original in conception and execution, it offers a sane iteration of a genre so prevalent in the 21st century, that of unconventional presentations of natural materials (supported by a very conspicuous thematizing of synthetics) to create spatially detached, urban-minimalist, post-industrial and futuristic effects… Amber Pour Homme can indeed smell like a ‘dryer sheet’ and yet does not wear as something inert, ‘bloblike’, monolithic, faddishly conceptual, or pointedly artificial…Instead, it is persistently warm, balanced, mobile, complex, expressive and reasoned – in short, it is good company for the human skin. While I get fairly moderate performance out of PRADA Amber Pour Homme, I find it easy to wear day after night after day, not because it is ‘office safe’ or ‘a dumb reach’, but because it is so quietly rich and thoughtfully designed -- a thinking person's soapy bliss.

P.S.: a little of maceration has helped with performance. After about two months, I find that though projection remains moderate (as seems appropriate), longevity is much longer than you'd think (8-12 hours on me.)

Le Quiry

I did not try this fragrances yet but it seems to be the perfect for my needs. I came to the comments to read about the way it smells but everyone is saying only one thing: SOAP. Do y'all people know that there are more type of soaps and they do not smell the same? Some soaps smell like almond, some like orange, some like roses, etc. Please say something about the notes of the fragrance.

PNWOutdoors

Soap. Smells like soap.

It's not hard to see why there would be plenty of people on a website dedicated to fragrance that may find this uninspiring. It isn't the most unique smell in the world. Most would find it very familiar. While that may cause some people to rate this one poorly, its actually part of why I think it's special.

A lot of people out there don't want to wear fragrances that make them stand out from the crowd. I would argue that a massive portion of the population doesn't wear fragrances at all for that exact reason. They just want to smell clean. Well this one will make you smell like you just came fresh out of the shower at a 5 star hotel - for 6 to 9 hours. Those guys don't know what they're missing! This can seriously level you up without offending anyone. A difficult feat, and this pulls it off better than anything else I've found.

arute.mishion

my signature scent. i did not regret buying this. it is a blind buy. And i think i would like to smell clean like a bar of soap. And I did. Except the first impression it smells like johnson2 baby powder. The smell isnt something special. Heres why it become special to me. I usually spray this after having a bath, and each time i remember how it smells in the bath, i clean thoroughly furiously bathing. lol. And after i applied it, I feel like im cleaning myself over and over, i feel fresh and clean. In high heat, this things sparkle and sort of boosts itself so when im doing sports i felt like im bathing with a clean sweat of my own. Its that big of a mind changer.

This frag is for the owner...only for yourself....You cant get compliments because it smells like soap. BUT prideful people will just ask how youre doing and approach you the second time because of LIKING YOU. you dont get compliments but you'll get expression out of people and it went into their minds. Im loving this thing. Its a silent weapon. Lol And i love it that it change my mind set into confidence. It projects moderately in a couple of hours but like i said...unless theyre ur friends, people dont usually complimenting soap...they just sets their minds into "this guy is clean"...dont forget lotion, it'll lasts as skin scent for 12+ hours.. Love it so much.

Ronron216

Clean, soapy, SEXY! To me, this and the intense version are both timeless fragrances. They behave like older fragrances. And what I mean by that is, you have to really smell the fragrance to pick out all/ some of the notes. They have character, unlike so many of the modern releases we’ve been seeing lately. And the bottle is very nice as well. Not that it matters. But it’s a nice touch! Lol but all in all, it’s got my approval. 8.9/10 👍🏼

Faris.n

I LOVE you Daniela for creating this masterpiece.

bibo25

I love this fragrance، it does not smell like what the note shows and that is magic to me. An awsome soapy scent that is not just clean but also sexy. Great performance on my skin 👍👍 this is for mature people lets say 30 years and up.
Cheers ✌️

Lord_Prada

Massive Prada Amber fan here. I’ve been wearing this fragrance for over 14 years now. I’ve gone thru dozens of bottles of this stuff and I have kept every single box and bottle over the years. I’ve collected every gift set I’ve come across… bought every spin off I could find (aftershave, lotion, samples etc.) I have many empty bottles of both sizes (1.7 and 3.4), I even have the metallic limited edition bottle from 2008 as well as the variant with the fancy spritzer. The fragrance has been reformulated several times over the years… mostly weakening its longevity and performance. the biggest neuter was when Prada l’homme came out. I was concerned last year when macys stopped selling it on their site (one of the only places I could still buy it online and know it would be a new batch)… I’m happy to say that it’s back on the market again after a short hiatus. The scent is the same but it actually has slightly better longevity compared to the batches right before the hiatus. The biggest difference is the liquid is now almost grey.. not a deal breaker but I really loved the beautiful purple look of a full bottle. I find this change very bizarre because we all know Prada amber is purple, not grey. The liquid looks almost identical to Prada l’homme juice now. Also, the 1.7 oz bottle seems to not exist in this relaunch and the intense version is no more. Some more good news is that There was a new gift set available recently with a special box and a bag and aftershave…. Amber pour home hasn’t got that treatment in YEARS. I hope Prada never discontinues this treasure. It’s been my signature for many years.

Rob321x

It took me a while to appreciate this fragrance, but I’m at the point where this fragrance shines and is a masterpiece.

baratrion

Fresh out of Turkish bath fragrance. Luxury Hacı Şakir soap bar. Easy to wear as other reviewers have mentioned. Who doesn't want to smell sparkling clean? Perfect for spring, even cooler spring days.

Aus11n

Fresh clean powdery masculine scent similar to Burberry touch but much better quality and longevity. Criminally underrated compared to its Prada Lhomme counterpart.

fisken23

There are many comparisons between Prada Amber Pour Homme and Prada L’homme. I’m not going to dig into that, but one obvious similarity is the soapy clean aspect. For me Prada L’Homme is way to feminine smelling and I usually don’t have any problem with unisex frags leaning feminine. But there are something in there that don’t appeal to me. (L’Homme Intense is way better, imo)
Prada Amber Pour Homme on the other hand, GORGEOUS!!
It’s not a lumberjack kind of fragrance, obviously :), but even if it’s really soapy and clean it fits me more as a man. That’s my take on it anyway.

Amamiro

luxury soap bar smell very elegant classy.

ViceCity

I can't begin to explain how much I love this perfume, though I unfortunately no longer own one. There is so much going on there... a unique blend of ingredients that smells sweet and fresh. Soapy but not in an unpleasant way. Easy on the senses, it won't cause any headaches or nausea (always a major concern of mine). In my opinion also one of the few fragrances I've used with which the top notes quickly fade away so that one can fully enjoy the richness of the middle and base notes.

I also have to commend the packaging and bottle design. Box design is very simple, almost plain. The bottle however is gorgeous: square-shaped, transparent with a metallic plaque listing the key ingredients. That transparent container reveals an intriguing, purple-looking liquid... almost like a potion. I have never seen another bottle like this one.

The fact that I got it with a significant discount just makes me even fonder of Amber Pour Homme. It truly won over me and is a key reason why I always have Prada as top-of-mind among the houses when I feel the need for a new fragrance.

reaabf

A soapy elegant and refined summer fragrance, I love the dry down of it, this is a gem indeed.

ookerdookers

Although not identical, this has so many similar facets to Tabac EDT that I often forget that I am wearing the Prada, instead thinking I am wearing the Tabac. If anything, the Prada is less complex and not as long lasting. It’s a good fragrance, maybe just a little overhyped and not as luxurious smelling as its reputation.

Sapere_Aude

prada is simply the best house. i own every thing they have produced and i can tell you they are geniuses in their fragrance department. packaging, originality, mystery, class, everything you could want. prada is the only company i blind buy from because it's impossible to end up with something terrible. i know this sounds insane but lhomme is a masterpiece, amber is better than fucking fabulous and all the other niche stuff i have. the coolest person in the room is never the loudest person in the room.

andrefaramos

Superb man's soap smell, it is so relaxing...

I was expecting a great performance from it (due to the comments), wich was a super let down (lasts about 4/5 hours on my skin with good projection.

I have a Made in Spain version (batch 01531), maybe the Made in France version lasts longer??

It is kind of a mess with Prada fragrances, I have 2 Made in Spain (Amber pour homme & L'homme Intense) and 2 made in France (L'homme & L'homme L'eau).

FreddyK

Smells soapy and masculine with a touch of powderiness. It was a blind buy. I bought it and I don't regret my purchase. I will use it after shower! Keep in mind that there's no sexiness in its character. This is a clean and soapy fragrance but without any marvelous edges. Still a great fragrance. Get it while You can!

RCL101

Seems to be back on the market. Has this been reformulated?

jsmoothysmooth

I remember smelling Prada Amber Pour Homme for the first time thinking to myself " Wow, now this is hypnotising!".
I remember buying a bottle and wore it one morning. I then traveled to see my family. Then when they gave me a hug to say hello.. every member including Men & Women were blown away by the smell. It's one of those fragrances that attracts positive attention whenever someone smells it.
Yes it smells like expensive soap, but it's much more than that. This is a masterpiece in perfumery that every man needs to smell and should own.

Scent 10/10. Mind-blowing.
Longevity 8/10. Lingers all day.
Sillage 8/10. People smell it at arms length and come closer.
Occasion- I can see myself wearing this day & night it's that good!

Another masterpiece from Prada!

Mr.Arntsberg

No doubt the best "soapy" perfume I´ve smelled. I even wear this to bed.

praveen923

Bought Prada amber pour homme from Fragranceshop UK but the notes on the mettalic plates are diff and missing Labdanum ingredients from the older version. checked the batch code and it says manufactured date is 2021/9.... do you have any idea that i got a fake one or these are just new batches that made this way. pls help

Erik Žák

Definitely in my top 10 list. Love this one. Smells balsamic, luxuiorus and soapy (but as a soap in 100€/night hotel).

Spendthrift

I agree with all the reviews citing this to be akin to a very luxurious hotel soap.

On me, it's incredibly long lasting, around 8/10 hours. Although I do wish it could cut itself slightly shorter. Once it hits around the 6hr mark the luxury part of the scent disappears, and although it's still projecting strongly it does remind me too much of a strong, cheap hand soap.

Very pleasant through the day - but at some point while driving home enclosed in my car, I can't wait to get home and wash it off or cover it with a fresher scent.

niiloVii

soapy and masculine. brings to mind a chemical like shaving cream or other such foam

my first trial and error-experience in the world of EDTs
no longevity or considerable sillage and the odor changes completely when I was halfway through the bottle into a rancid and burnt plastic smell.
maybe i was unlucky with a bad batch, but that was a very negative surprise.

Scentsibilities

The best soapy fragrance ever created literally smells like a luxurious soap great for the office formal and professional settings. When you want to project an image of cleanliness and sophistication truly a masterpiece in masculine modern perfumery getbit whilst you can.
