Infusion d'Iris by Prada is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Infusion d'Iris was launched in 2007. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier. Top notes are African Orange Flower, Neroli, Orange and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Iris, Galbanum and Mastic or Lentisque; base notes are Virginia Cedar, Incense, Benzoin and Vetiver. This perfume is the winner of award FiFi Award Fragrance Of The Year Women`s Nouveau Niche 2008.
Prada Infusion d\'Iris was introduces in 2007 as oriental-woodsy fragrance. The name of this fragrance was inspired by the old method of producing iris extract which took six months of soaking until the sweetly fresh iris notes were extracted.
This modern and elegant fragrance opens with notes of mandarin, galbanum, orange and orange blossom which lead to the heart composed of iris, cedar and vetiver. The base is composed of incense and benzoin.
The fragrance was designed by Daniela Roche-Andrier of Givaudan. It is captured in an elegant glass bottle reminiscent of retro perfume bottles.
It is available as 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.), 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) and 200ml (6.9 fl.oz.) EDP and as pure perfume in 3.5ml (0.12 fl.oz.) and 7.5ml (0.26 fl.oz.) sizes.

The Scentimentalist
Clean supple skin and hair, putting on a clean, starched white shirt, minimum makeup, comfortable but smart shoes, feeling put together and low key confident. This infusion is subtle and disciplined if not fleeting. I like it.

Prada Infusion d'Iris is an easy reach for me when the goal is just to smell nice or if I'm going to be in a room full of people. I get a linear pretty iris and woods, without any sharp edges, and on the dry side of iris, which I appreciate. No carrot, not too root-y. I see the soap comparisons, and I don't mind them. Sometimes, I want to smell *something* on myself, but don't want to be challenged.
Little Principessa
It smells like a basic soap. Nothing interesting.
josenajas
If you want this beautiful faint smell, multiplied by 100 in terms of projection and longevity, try to get the very sought after Cargo de Nuit by Prada. The best iris perfume ever made.
Aeternitas
I miss owning this fragrance, but I’ve since replaced it with the much sweeter Athalia by PdM. Very similar, but both stand on their own. Both are amazing.
Infusion d’Iris is a bit on the stand-offish side because she is lacking in sweetness, but she is posh and clean, and certainly not lacking in character.
Iris in general can be a powdery note, but here it’s surprisingly modern; not your grandma’s powdery floral.
There is an interesting nuttiness to it that I love, and even though there is no walnut listed, something in it reminds me of the warm and comforting walnut note that can be found in Bvlgari’s au the Rouge.
I never had a problem with longevity.
I’ve always loved it more in winter time, too. It’s truly comforting in colder weather.
SmellsJustLike
I absolutely love this and can’t believe it took me so long to discover it.
Old money powdery floral. Light and elegant. It’s like getting out of the shower and being cuddled in a soft white cotton towel. I like the purple flowers in this too, lilac and violette so gentle. Longevity isn’t great and it does become a skin scent after a couple of hours but I think if it was stronger it would be way too heady. I’d much rather a little top up.
This is my new number one and i hope Prada never ever discontinue. I feel like I have been searching for this since Love Chloe finished.

Smells like your bathroom tiles after you've taken a shower. Powdery, shaving foam scent.
idk.i.just.want.a.perfume
to me, this smells like an expensive bar of soap. it does also at times smell like an old lady or something, but in a classy and clean way? i don’t know how to explain it exactly. but i think i wish to buy it in the future as one of my clean and non-offensive scents.
WitchQueen
I've recently smelled some wonderful iris scents and was so looking forward to this, but it just smells like cheap soap to me. Pass.
TexasOrangeBlossom
If I had a fancy hotel, this would be in the running for my signature hotel scent.
I personally have to be in the mood to wear it. We had disappointing family news today, and this is what I chose as a relaxing bedtime scent.
Rosesandjasmine
It’s an easy, well done fragrance. Perfect for the office, a DMV appointment, or wherever else you wouldn’t want to smell too bold! It’s soapy, and exactly what I was expecting from a fragrance called ‘Iris’. It’s also pretty affordable ok discount sites. It’s exactly what it says it is- 10/10

This is a truly gorgeous powdery iris. It smells clean and powdery but not boring. Reminds me of a Tolkien elf, something that Galadriel would wear. This is elegant, soft, but at the same time powerful and different. But you have to get close to notice. Not very long lasting and the projection is close to the skin, but to be honest I don’t think this scent would be as ethereal and mystical if it had beast-mode projection, so I’m okay with that.
TheDecantingWitch
Blind bought this a while back. The first spray is wonderful but I was disappointed with the staying power. The iris fades and I am left with a powdery scent that almost soured.
Sidhe
I wanted to love this, and I really tried to, but it honestly makes me very depressed and melancholic when I wear it. Felt like crying everytime I sniffed myself. It's such a nostalgic scent, somehow reminding you of memories you don't have, and they are sad ones. I suppose if you enjoy wallowing and think it's romantic, you might love this perfume, but I'm not the sort. Very cold and dry - flat, too.
Trevi760
Iris where? A fine powdery scent with no other distinctive iris presence. I like the rose and almond versions of this, but this one is so very bland.
AnlisaC
Clean Iris and very light! I’ve had this for years. I love iris as a note but I prefer a leather based Iris. This does dry down to a woody iris on my skin. It is great for spring and summer. 7/10 recommended but not my favorite Iris
Electriclady
My bottle is coming to an end and I'm in two minds whether to purchase a new one. I was having an iris moment a few years ago (before everyone else was) and finally tracked down this iris fragrance. At first I was a bit disappointed because I was looking for something more powdery and earthy, whereas this has a freshness to it. But, I have grown to like it a lot as it's a very classy fragrance that smells stylish and settles well. I wish the projection was a bit stronger but on on the other hand, I have found it to be a pretty choice for summer.
jocing
Prada d'Iris first spray you might felt turn off because of the chemical smell.
But after 5 to 10 minutes, This smell very elegant, moderate powdery and Iris stand out so much.
So Clean, So Pure and So Aromatic. I love this! I adore this scent. It bring me inner peace and a good start of my day.
I wear this at home and bedtime perfume.

Un baño lujoso de talco y shampoo. Discreto y elegante, será mi BEST del verano.
cheleine
Clean, no nonsense, calming scent.
It’s completely timeless and ageless.
I can imagine this at a Jane Austen character - perhaps Elizabeth Bennet, as she has that no nonsense, yet quietly romantic and self assured side & I can easily imagine this worn by a modern woman, attending business meetings, a full-of-life elderly lady, or even a sweet young mother.
It just works for everything and everyone and it’s still not basic or boring.
It’s an ethereal, slightly sweet iris with some lovely citrus notes to uplift the composition. It makes you smile.
But also makes you feel put together, gives you the strength to go on with your busy day, while still allowing you some romantic daydream time during the day.
100% perfect scent.
Infusion d’Iris : “The strength it takes to be soft.”
nfox
Meditative, calm scent. I accidentally spilled it on myself and on my clothes while I was having an episode of severe anxiety, and I can't help but think it was meant to happen. The soft, earthy fragrance gave me a sense of calm.
About the perfume: it has a woody backbone, and a sharp, springtime earthy overcast. Reminds me a bit of violets. Smells like something beautiful and strong, something natural. It is calming and refreshing at the same time. The woodiness gives it a sense of grounding. Iris and violets contribute to a feeling of airiness and expansion.
This beautiful fragrance gave me peace when everything felt so overwhelming.
smelling.sniffing.swan
Clean and elegant.
Iris and tea
Soft white florals aswell.
White musk and a sweet woody base.
Maybe even some un-burnt frangipani incense.
Linen and a slightly lactonic lotion. I can see how some could find the airy-ness a little sickening but i don’t find it offensive.
Very fem and too soft for me.
VERDICT: Not bad at all. Will be someone’s dream come true. I am definitely not the demographic for this one.

I get a ton of sweet mandarin orange at the opening, and the bitterness of orange blossoms and leaves. It's distinctly a round orange, not a bright, sharp citrus. I love it, it reminds me of picking an orange in front of the house I grew up in, and the bitter woody smell the leaves and blossoms gave off as they were pierced and rustled by the picker pole and by falling oranges. It settles into a soapy, sweet iris. I generally avoid fruit/white floral combinations but I think the incense and resins balance them out for me.
I have a little .25oz bottle without an atomizer and I find it difficult to get enough on so that I can actually smell it. Even after giving myself a good dousing it stays really close and intimate, and I keep raising my wrist to my nose to smell it on my skin.
On me it's very sweet. The sugared iris reminds me of Lolita Lempicka's big sister who has lost a little bit of her sense of play. Lolita Lempicka was my first bottle of perfume when I was a little girl, then I wore Glossier You religiously in my early to mid 20s. This newest iris in my collection makes me feel safe but extremely aware of the unrelenting passage of time. It's sophisticated and beautiful but like others have noted, there's something very melancholy in it. It reminds me very much of Daisy in the Great Gatsby saying "It makes me sad because I've never seen such beautiful shirts before." It's like looking at the past through gauze. I have a feeling this will be an important scent to me.
arefuthescroob
Gorgeous sweet iris, but not too sweet. Has the Prada DNA, like Candy, so it's very much clear it's Prada.

I'm enjoying this scent so much! If you like fragrances that's a a bit green, powdery, clean, soapy and you do not mind the smell of a luxurious shaving cream then just get this!!!!! You won't regret it. 😊
madeoftwinklingstars
it’s so elegant and powdery. makes me feel like a french monarch when i wear this :)

Clean. Fresh. A somewhat powdery floral. Mostly green, yet slightly sweet. This polished scent is long lasting (no touch ups required), very feminine, and perfect for many occasions.
yaseminpol
I have a 50 ml bottle, if anyone is interested please write me.
I sell it for a low price because it just doesn't suit me :/
Loliky
Bofetada potente, notas hiper realistas, buena duración, muy empolvado y seco.
Si te gustan mucho los florales realistas será muy buena opción.
Para mí gusto muy seco y estridente, pero és un buen perfume.
tealoveZ
A place where time doesn't exist. Clean, woody iris. A bit balmy aswell. Soapy fresh. Elegance. Simplicity. Gives me a feeling of peacefulness. Feet on the ground, head in the clouds. Could be a bedtime scent, an everyday scent. Honestly anytime, anywhere scent. If I were to put it in a painting it would be Claude Monet Branch of the Seine near Giverny
ljsmith
Smells like shaving cream or lipstick in a deeply nostalgic and comforting way. Much better projection and longevity than I expected. An easy reach whether I’m running errands, going to work, on a date, or even going to bed. Just lovely.
SalinasL
Cold iris powder. My nose detects no orange or orange flower anywhere at all, at any time, in this. There is a slight waxiness from the mastic and bitterness from galbanum and maybe incense, but they feel more like facets of the iris than additions to it. (Cedar, benzoin, vetiver—they must be wherever the orange and orange flower are.) I like the simplicity of this, and that it smells older than it is and classic, despite the modern-smelling minimalism.
Rosiewebber
This smells like really expensive hairspray and furniture polish. That sounds like a bad thing but it’s not, i promise, I actually really like this. It’s like sitting in a high end posh salon.
The opening is fresh and clean, the woods and citrus holding up the iris, bordering on almost metallic.
It softens as it dries down, taking on a more powdery quality. I would say this is a feminine leaning unisex.
It’s clean, elegant, and I can’t stop sniffing myself.
Excuse my terrible description, it’s beautiful.
Lulushka
An deceptively elegant yet thoroughly sophisticated interpretation of one of perfume’s most precious and fetishized materials, Prada’s original Infusion d’Iris smells like a damp, saline, ocean breeze blowing across a fresh, herbal-green patch of wild grass flecked with purple flowers—the titular irises, plus sweet violets—with a soft but persistent yeasty-powdery background suggesting seaside fog, and an elegant but resolutely black column of incense, with a bed of subtle cedar that adds an appealing woodsy dimension to the powder in the dry down.. It also has a delicate and remarkably long-lasting mandarin peel accord that suggests less a nearby citrus grove and more a leisurely picnic or at least a snack taken on a well-positioned bench, or a cup of orange spiced tea. If it sounds like this perfume evokes a specific place to me, that’s because it does—a lovely house in Mendocino County’s Sea Ranch with a pretty little private beach with a chalky white bluff and an overhanging yard threaded with a carpet of little wild irises. Standing barefoot with my toes deep in the stems of all those gorgeous purple flowers (wild ones grow close to the ground, unlike my grandmother’s regal stalks) in its garden, with the bracing late afternoon Pacific whipping around the nearby redwoods, wrapped in my favorite old Pashmina blanket and holding a hot cup of classic Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice, those scents blending with the remnants of last night’s fire blending and the present day’s incense: it’s all here.
Of course, Prada’s Italian origins (not to mention those of the perfume’s creator’s own French roots) likely point towards the Mediterranean as possible, even likely inspiration—and yet, the Northern California coast bears a remarkable resemblance to north-central Italy, and parts of France at similar latitudes. For some reason, Hermès’ transparent minerally wonder Eau de Merveilles smells more like Europe to me—it gets closer to the unmistakable scent of garrigue, the herbs unique to that region—while the clouds of powder in Infusion d’Iris seem to evoke the Bay Area’s famously foggy coastline. Both perfumes are classics, basic (not <>, basic as in fundamental) essentials to my scent wardrobe (their shared accords also layer well). Infusion d’Iris is a more classical composition, carefully colored in to its very outlines, and its structure, along with its elegant treatment of its green iris-violet powder accord, make it a worthy younger cousin to Chanel No. 19, but they don’t smell alike: Infusion is much more approachable and easier to wear. But like No. 19, it makes a perfect perfume for work, as knows how to talk in an indoor voice and has no animalics or juvenile sweetness. Prada smashed this one out of the park, and I feel grateful that they seem to keep it in continuous production—although the house switched suppliers for Paradoxe, and I hope they don’t mess up the Infusons or original Ambers. This is a modern classic, and it deserves to be treated with respect. Don’t let my comments about its professional appropriateness dissuade you from wearing it elsewhere—this is one of the most versatile fragrances I own, and I miss the little refill cylinders I used to be able to find for my silver bullet-shaped refillable purse spray keychain. (They made one for L’Eau Ambrée, too, in gold—I love that one too, and bought both, because I love Prada swag). Even though it smells like spring, I wear this year-round, especially during the day. This version has much less powder and more incense than its Absolu cousin, so give it a try if Absolu was too boudoirish for you.

I thought I was going to loveee this one, but i'm starting to notice a trend for myself... If there is a powdery note listed in the first 3-4 notes of a fragrance it will be all that I smell on my skin after the drydown. The powdery scent took over everything else. I gave my sample away... hopefully to a better home!
djigoio
I love Iris, this is really great quality. It starts slightly citric, like, it refresh a bit, but goes away quickly, to then introduce a clean and delicate Iris.
I think the name is perfect. It feels like you are about to drink a warm, relaxing, really nice smelling infusion. One of those you'd drink to have a better sleep.
For this warm part, although you surely can wear in summer, I'd love to wear it in Spring specially.
Unisex IMO, but as a male you need to be confident with clean, soft and powdery scents.
I think I'd enjoy having this for those "zen moments" at home. To go out, I'd rather wear Versace The Dreamer or Prada Homme L'eau.
Eve_evolution
As an Iris lover I had to own it. Sold it almost immediately as it smelled severe and metallic to me, like an expensive unisex shower gel in great hotels. Not comforting or interesting or sexy. Just severe, professional, expensive and unisex.

I have to admit, I didn’t love this when I first tried it. I let my sample sit on my dresser for a couple of weeks and revisited it. Now, it’s a total love. I understand why people love this. It’s clean, elegant, and versatile. I personally love the soapy, slightly powdery dry down. Very comforting and familiar too. Interestingly, there is a youthful quality to this fragrance that I didn’t pick up at first. Looking at the notes, I would’ve thought it was more of a mature scent. But it does remind me of a fragrance I used to love from when I was younger. It’s driving me crazy that I can’t place it…. Chanel Chance or one of its flankers maybe? Anyway, I am now an iris convert thanks to Infusion d’Iris, something I never thought would happen.
chridela
Clean, professional, quality fragrance that is versatile and signature scent-worthy. Fresh, green, luxurious and expensive-smelling. A nice departure from the fruity floral numbers which abound lately. It is "over-hyped" for a reason. Compares to Chanel no 19 eau poudre with the latter being a little more complex and rounded. Marketed to women, but entirely unisex. Will definitely repurchase (I pray it does not get discontinued).
oxeslevy
Nostalgic, dusty, soapy, iris heaven. Love the smell on my skin but it only lasts an hour or two. I get more longevity if I spray on my clothes but it smells a bit sharper than the softer, powdery notes that come from the warmth of skin. I love this so much
Oxidia
A light airy watery iris. Very expensive smelling. Lasts pretty good od me, 4+ hours easily on a sunny beach day.
Silvi_pankova
Completely mixed with my skin chemistry and disappeared directly after spraying. Too bad, I really liked it, hope everyone has better luck with it :(
Moonshine_Strawberries
To me, this is INSANELY BEAUTIFUL. I don’t know what to say about it specifically but I feel like I can move on from my perfume sample addiction now that I’ve found this.
Going off a small sample it’s hard to comment on projection or longevity but at $51 for 1.7 oz. on eBay I’ll just spray as much as I need to.
It’s probably versatile for layering too. So far I really like what it did for Initio Paragon.
Myrtillajus
As an iris lover, I could not have not owned this little wonder.
Here we have a slightly citrusy opening, I personally do not perceive the bitterness of neroli, which leaves space for a clean, slightly dusty and dry Iris. It is a unisex fragrance, I feel round and sweet facets, I find it extremely elegant. I personally wear it during the day, I find it suitable for a daily context, aware of the fact that it gives that extra touch of class.
Unfortunately, the duration is not excellent and it remains very skinscent.

A very soft innocent perfume that can not possibly offend anyone. It smells like clean linens. Very safe for office wear and for those who do not want to stand out by their scent.
Allthingssmelly
This is powdery. I'm not really fond of powdery perfumes. However, this one is likable for me but for those who love iris and powdery they will LOVE it! I have nothing bad to say, powder is just not my thing. It's quite nice. It's warm, pretty, delicate, sweet and easy to wear. Not too sweet and not too clean. It sits close to the skin but the wafts are beautiful. I don't think I'd buy a full size personally but if I loved powdery fragrances this would be a signature bomb!
qianqian
At first I gave the below comment. After 3 hours, I changed my mind and decided to give it a 'like'. It's a refined, elegant, and powdery scent that is worth a good comment.
The sillage is still just intimate and that's a shame. Longevity seems okay. I just wish it could span out further.

Too weak. Hardly can discern it after applying almost 1ml. Good that I only got a vial so I don't waste more money.

FOUND!!! My elegant, Fifth Avenue, slim, sexy, silver-haired, STILLGOTIT fragrance! Another facet of perfumes that I seem to love: powdery, iris. Oh my goodness she's fabulous! Finally got a full bottle and she is perfect for the spring/summer season. I never want to be without this baby!
pinkegobox
This perfume is absolute perfection for me and coincidentally the first iris perfume I’ve ever tried. It’s the only scent that has made me close my eyes and drift away in a perfume store rather than nod and be like “oh ok this is nice” which is what happened with all the other perfumes I own haha. So this isn’t really a review but rather a love letter - if you like iris, you won’t find anything nicer.
raesmells
Slowly realizing this is my favorite scent of all. Just clean powdery green and fresh. I never tire of it. Its not sweet, its not fruity, not sharp, just cool, green freshness with a bit of warmth from the powder. Its perfection and I could bathe in it.I have been buying it for almost 24 years and I cannot say that about any other scent. Its sort of like a gauzy veil of cleanliness and warmth around you versus a oh she is wearing that perfume again scent. Heavenly.
Also I find the old and the new versions so close that I just buy the new version because I figure its more fresh.
creamyandlight
SO powdery! Really not a fan. Smells like I poured baby powder on myself
Gemsense
This actually smells better in warm summer weather.
yes2heaven
Distinctly old-fashioned. I couldn't smell any of the orange-y top notes upon application, but it was instead rather green and floral with a slight pepperiness that leaned more powdery as time went on. Was equally disturbed and impressed with myself as the sentence "is that benzoin?" floated around the confines of my mind for the very first time.
xanderu
from all the reviews, I wanted so badly to love this fragrance. I typically love orris/iris fragrances, but this one i actually found to be quite astringent and "powdery" somehow at the same time. Gives me a distinctly cold, almost witch hazel toner-y vibe. I wish this fragrance had some warmth/body, I can't smell the incense or benzoin at all. Clean? absolutely. Well blended? of course! My taste? not at all.
Naqwalan
So refined. Perfect for warmer climates as it is in no way intrusive but very soft and well-rounded. Doesn’t have the fruity sweetness common in warm weather perfumes - this is definitely a lot more elegant. Iris is one of my all-time favourite notes, find it very calming. There’s a bright green-ness to it at the beginning that makes me think of the perfect spring day. Incense in the ingredients is not something I usually gravitate towards - but it’s perfect here… slightly deepens the iris but maintains an overall clean, powdery yet fresh scent that I can wear both in spring and summer.
The only perfume I have in my collection in a huge size… 200 ml. This is the original 2007 formulation. Got really lucky and found it for half price (last bottle at the shop and therefore cost less than the 100 ml bottle).
cmh9217
Ahhhh…my Precious has come home…
I had a 1 oz bottle of this a decade or so ago and I probably didn’t even get to use ½ of that bottle….my son, who was in Middle School when I bought it, decided to hog most of it because he also loved it. For years, I’ve just had a tiny amount left in that bottle (hidden of course from the fragrance hog in the house).
One day last week…a day which clearly was SLOW on the ´Bay, I decided to place a bid on a 3.4 oz bottle that was only missing a few sprays from it. Never did I think that my measly $30 bid would Win…but apparently luck was on my side.
This frag is in my top 5 of all time. So light and lovely you would think it would be gone in the blink of an eye, but NOOOO… this lasts for HOURS on my skin. I honestly can’t imagine that anyone who loves a light, fresh and inoffensive floral wouldn’t love this perfection. It is pure CLASS..
9/10 all around

I upgraded this to a love, simply because I keep finding myself reaching for it, and isn't that the true test?
A soft and posh iris with a sturdy cedar backbone.

Along with Teint de Neige by Lorenzo Villoresi, I would say that this is the other powdery perfume par excellence, perhaps the true king of this category since it is much more accessible and well-known. Don't get me wrong, of course both perfumes are completely different: Teint de Neige as an ode to musk and Infusion d'Iris to iris; Teint de Neige as a perfume with a lot of personality and a dirty and seductive background and Infusion d'Iris as a fragrance that exudes cleanliness and innocence.
In this perfume, iris is king, powdery and creamy, balanced by the lightest green of galbanum and deepened by a subtle incense.
For me, the bad thing about it is its performance, with a moderate-soft sillage and a duration on my skin of about 3 hours.
If it worked better on my skin I would definitely buy it.

This perfume opened me up to wearing Iris. It is so pretty.. the only problem is that it doesn’t have great sillage. It’s close to the skin after an hour. I wear it on rainy days. It’s soft but posh.. I wish it left a better trail..
verzosa
It opens with a dusty clean essence complimented with iris. It can quickly become leather with a touch of sweetness on my skin, but still remains clean with iris entertaining the dry down. This reminds me of white clothing and white sheets just cleanliness to the core! This is a very unique perfume longing for a person just as unique to pull this off.

If old money people have specific fragrance it will be this masterpiece!💜

I am a sucker for soapy, clean scents. This one was my signature scent when I used to live in Brazil. It’s a perfect option for hot weather because it’s light. I still love it, but I live now in the Netherlands, where the weather is pretty fresh if not cold most of the year, so I feel the need to put on a heavier, warmer scent.
My passion for the Prada DNA has started with this perfume. In my opinion, you really need to like iris notes to like this, so just make sure you try it on your skin before you buy it.
MamaLuvs
I love iris notes so purchases a small vial. It's very posh and beautiful to start, About an hour after wear I get mostly the lemongrass note from the citronellol ingredient which isn't my favorite
mizzflrpt7
I used to think soapy was not my cup of tea but here we go! I think I love this! This is where my olfactory journey has taken a turn into clean and soapy but better. Luxurious, premium soapy experience with added background of a resinous woodsy candle. A scent of clarity and depth.
So many people have mentioned Infusion d’Iris and Mother under one breath and I agree. And I discovered it at a very appropriate time in my life. One where I’m a mother myself and one where I crave for motherly guidance and warmth, and that is something that I want to exude to others. This is what Infusion d’Iris is giving me. This is what I want to be at home, with family and it’s something I want to be to myself. So much comfort, joy and femininity in this beautiful Iris journey.
I especially enjoy the dry down, as the scent settles on the skin and develops the deep dimension of resinous warmth.
Love finding a daytime gem I can enjoy over and over.

A dream, just like a dream. I was introduced to this scent 7 years ago. I didn't know then that it was the iris and the cedar wood that kept me in a spell. I just came across it again. My nose is finer by now. What a scent. Fresh, airy, irisy - the perfect balance. Perfect for hot climate. I love it.
*I am new to the world of scents, I have a good nose, great insides but still learning the right words for it. Stay with me (: *

Not being an Iris lover, this is the first time I've been charmed! The more I smell it, the more I want it... it evoked in me indefinable feelings. It is perhaps the incense which gives it this particular charm but it is not suffocating because the benjoin comes to give roundness to the perfume, and the cedar wood a very beautiful woody side. And with the neroli, the result is a mysterious feminine perfume... I would even say Celtic!
To my great surprise, when I was testing this perfume on one wrist, I was testing on the other the men's perfume "Ombré Leather" by Tom Ford, and the mix of the two scents impressed me! The animalic leathery side of Ombré Leather married so well with the smoky earthy side of Infusion d'Iris. Very nice combination for a couple!

I really love this but I’m too talkative and a bit too silly of a person for this. I won’t say I’m too young for it though lol. It smells like it would be great on a very well put-together grandma that goes yachting, a young lawyer with a cause, or a professor. Something gentle and warm wants to come out of this cold feeling scent but never does on me. Feels like the awkward milling around at a funeral home before or after a wake. But the poshest and priciest one.

I remember how I used to like this one long time ago. This modern version is more dusty than powdery in the opening, only to settle as an adult version of petit et maman after few minutes. I don't dislike it, it's very elegant and comforting, but I'm always conflicted when it's time to consider buying a full bottle.
Vellocet
This is such a classy iris forward perfume. I mostly get the iris, mandarine orange and the benzoin. I truly love this and it is one of the best designer perfumes out there. But… why does it only last two hours on me? Two hours at MOST. I have a new batch so this is a bit surprising. Because of that I won’t repurchase it, since it’s on the pricier side 😔
Evie01
This is, in my opinion, the best designer perfume on the market.
I smell mostly iris with a bit of cedarwood. The iris is soft, fluffy and Chanel-esque, and reminiscent of a comforting hug. The cedarwood and orange blissom makes this fragrance more modern and approachable, yet still being incredibly natural. It’s the ultimate modern elegant perfume that is discrete, inoffensive, versatile and niche quality.
It’s a must for every classy perfume enthusiast, especially now when Chanel no 19 poudrée is discontinued

I now understand all the rave reviews. The original 2007 formulation of Infusion d'Iris has bright, citrusy top notes and a lovely incense and galbanum backbone. The 2015 formulation pulls sweeter and heavier on my skin due to the benzoin in the base having no counterpoint.
ShayaK
At the beginning, a surprisingly fresh accord of orange blossom.
The note of iris is there, but it's not pronounced. It is very soft, smooth and powdery.
Over time, the fragrance develops into a soapy rice-iris elegant powder.
At the base, we have a clean creamy wood, which gives us a fairly simple fragrance.
Overall, it is a fragrance for a confident, strong and elegant woman.
To wear on a daily basis.
nigella12
This is very citrusy in its opening with notes of iris. The drydown is floral/incense/powdery. It's light cologne type for day wear. Not interesting just powdery cologne.
Siennai
I like the soapy, powdery and clean qualities of this perfume.
But there was a dirty, green and weedy element and i really disliked it. it just smelt of weeds. i realise now it was the galbanum. which makes me doubt needing to try Chanel no 19 Poudree which I was considering as an alternative to this as a clean, powdery, iris fragrance.
Also, the incense makes this slightly heavy and headache inducing.
I had the chance to sample the edt and it was lighter and lovelier. Shame it's discontinued.

When I was six, I spent a winter at my uncle’s in New Delhi. Mum needed surgery and Dad had to be at the hospital with her all day and I got tagged along to my aunt’s kitty parties and lunches and the whole wide range of social events in her very busy calendar. That was my first introduction to the world of rich housewives who had a lot of time and money to spend. And they did so, with reckless abandon. For a six year old from a very humble home in a quaint little town, everything felt glitzy and glamourous and it was quite thrilling! Giant chandeliers and plush carpets. Sofas that ate you up. Shiny pristine nuts on dainty dishes. Coke in frosty glasses. Endless refills too!
But most of all, I remember the smell. Even six year old could tell this was rich people smell. When the ladies got together and talked about their foreign trips and compared the size of their solitaires, I could smell expensive perfume on them. And it wasn’t just their perfume. It was this clean fresh smell that seemed to emanate from everything in the room. I visited so many places no one place particularly stands out but they all seemed to somehow smell the same.
Prada Infusion d’Iris takes me back to my winter among the elite in New Delhi. There’s something so classy about it I can’t put my finger on it. And I find it quite unique too. I remember this time when a woman walked by me and I could smell her perfume and was stunned for a moment by how pretty it was only to realise a few seconds later it was Infusion d’Iris I was smelling on her. On my skin the iris truly shines, giving it a clean powdery feel. I think the incense in the drydown gives it depth - I quite like it. While it doesn’t last quite as long as I want my perfumes to, I spray generously on my scarf and get greeted by wafts until much later. I’m glad I got a 200ml bottle of this one, because this is one perfume that instantly makes me feel put together.
EmelieKristina
Pretty sharp and screechy citrus in the opening but it settles pretty quickly into a softer Iris with some incense and cedar in the background. It smells like a refined, slightly sharp baby powder. It smells nice but it didn’t wow me and I wouldn’t wear it as I find it too screechy and potentially headache inducing.
Galana
This is a classic and one of my all time favourites. Soft, soothing, and elegant, but also confident and assertive, this is a hard-working all-rounder that rarely feels out of place, whatever the context. The iris is powdery and prominent, with a clear reference to Guerlain's L'Heur Bleu. Perfectly balanced with the woody notes that add that touch of masculine energy, lifting that Guerlain melancholy and turning it into playful mystery. I've bought more than one back up bottle of this disappearing beauty recently, as the 2015 screechy reformulation simply breaks my heart. I don't care how much stronger or longer-lived it is, it is definitely not an improvement.
Juhhcarneiro2
What about infusion d'iris? Simply one of my all-time favorite perfumes.
A blend of iris with cedar and orange blossom. A woody and incense iris with slightly powdery prada DNA.
Normally we associate a perfume with an outfit, this one smells like skin, difficult to associate with an outfit or an occasion.
It is good for all seasons, day or night. In formal events, or even day to day. And for any gender, I think it's pretty unisex.
It is a masterpiece.
If it was a woman, it would certainly be a traveler, smells of freedom, wind on his face, comfortable clothes and fullness.
It is said to be similar to the Chanel 19 Poudré, I have both, they are quite similar.
Chanel wins in longevity, but the Prada is the one who stole my heart!
It lasts 5-6h on my skin. I love this perfume.

This has a very citrusy opening and then settles down to cedar & wood, iris base notes. I really love it but I kinda find it boring somehow. I have finished my bottle and did not purchase it again.

Baby oil and powder, combined into a soapy fragrance

This reminds me of a colder, slightly less sweet but still pretty marzipan-y Insolence. Easier to wear than Insolence too.
DT953
This one is so odd to me... I do like it, but sadly gave it away way back when due to my lack of desire to wear it. Now, however, after falling for Maison Violet's Tanagra, it's all I want to smell like. Granted, that one was more floral. This is, in essence, iris forward (duh) with a very woody cedar base. It's "I want to smell nice, but not like anything in particular" in a bottle. Gorgeous, but hard to explain why. It's just perfection.
dahnehyuh
I wanted to love this because the bottle is pretty and the name is pretty but it's pretty underwhelming. It does smell like the angel's breath perfume I used to wear when I was younger. It smells clean but also a little dusty? Not a terrible scent but not something I would buy a full bottle for.
Coriemulvey
I’m so glad I did not buy this blind.. I bought a sample off The Perfumed Court. I love iris.. cold powdery, carroty, rooty orris/iris. This is a typical iris scent with typical iris companion notes but it’s very weak. It’s just not worth the cost. I have Iris from Solinotes.. it was a 20 dollar buy. Compared to Prada, there is not that much of a difference. My Iris Bouquet of Russia is better than this Prada. I honestly cannot believe a bottle costs over 100 bucks. Now maybe I’m missing part of the experience because I’m only experiencing this through a sample without an atomizer.. but all I am getting is a bland citrus with a barely there iris in the drydown. NOT WORTH IT. just buy yourself a Solinotes..
The Wolf
So far I've tried Infusions D'Iris, D'Amande, D'Cedre, D'Homme (discontinued) which is the replacement for D'Cedre (so I'll count them as the same fragrance) and I think this is probably my 2nd favorite. I thought it would be too feminine but it's not. Bottom line is they all have that soapy vibe which I love, and this has more iris.
All of these are great, so just ask yourself, do I want cedar with my iris? For me it's YES! But all of them are highly classy, clean, and underrated. Infusions are the best from the house in my opinion. Forget about L'Homme which is yawn inducing. Cargo De Nuit is also excellent!
Don't sleep on this line, they're fantastic.
Scent 8.9/10
Performance 6/10

I wonder if this has been reformulated. This is an intense powdery iris scent with pronounced green and woody notes, call it veitver, galbanum, cedar...Iris is the protagonist but you need to like veitver and galbanum. I feel this scent is a little bit more green and bitter than in previous years. It also feels a little bit more masculine and soapy.
I think I might have an older bottle somewhere...maybe in a box with other perfumes I never use...I should compare my old bottle with this 2022 sample.
It is still pretty, but, somehow greener, and less floral.
Basman
It's a nice scent but i don't exactly get why i would get this over Prada Amber and Prada Luna Rossa.
Both projecting better and cheaper
geelightning
idk if anyone here knows angel's breath cologne slash baby powder this smells exactly like it
ironically though, now that im older, this type of smell feels like it's more for mature women despite it smelling baby powder like. can honestly picture my grandma liking and wearing this
Enrium
As an iris lover, I was keen to try Infusion d'Iris, and bought a miniature of the original 2007 version. It is a very light, soapy scent with disappointing longevity, but is pleasant and easy to wear. As many reviewers before me have mentioned, it smells like Johnson's Baby products - powdery, softly sweet and comforting, yet not what I look for in a perfume. There are shades of Chanel No. 19 Poudré here too, but I find that Infusion is less sophisticated.
Infusion d'Iris opens with a soft orange accord, more blossom than zest. The powdery iris is present from the start, adding a beautiful, soft undertone that defines this scent throughout. Galbanum adds a hint of hazy greenness, which always marries well with iris.
Woody notes creep in as it dries down, alongside a whisper of resinous amber. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak, undetectable in under three hours.
While it is pleasant and inoffensive, it is too underwhelming to be full-bottle worthy for me. It feels like a baby cologne, along the lines of Petit Guerlain - comforting and restorative, nice at bedtime, but not the soft yet sophisticated iris I was hoping for. I must try the 2015 update. 2.5/5.
lovespell27
I am absolutely in love with this perfume. It smells like baby powder only sweeter and more complex.
It doesn’t last long and I can rarely smell it on myself. However I still think it’s worth it. The scent is elegant and sophisticated.
I’ve notice people either love it or hate it so it’s definitely not a perfume you want to blindly buy.
PeachPerfume
So bummed about this one. All I get is a powdery, baby oil type of smell. No iris, no cedar, no incense, no citrus. Just meh. Totally bland, bordering on hospital. This was my first true blind buy and I'm very disappointed. I always love highly rated Fragranatica perfumes, so my distaste for this one is another first. Maybe I got a bad bottle? Who knows.
lizelloves
I'm a little let down by this perfume. It smells like baby cologne and it is powdery but it reminds me more of perfumed ethyl alcohol or the alcohol they use in hospitals. It doesn't have a bad smell but upon the first sniff, I was instantly reminded of cotton balls and blood extraction at the hospital. Maybe I'll layer it with something because I won't be able to use it by itself without thinking of the hospital or laboratory.
Lyric82
I can definitely understand the comparisons to Chanel N°19 Poudré, but to me, this one reads more firmly unisex. I think it’s the neroli and Vetiver mostly that make me feel that way. I do think it’s worth owning both. And I feel like although this has a more daytime feel to me, it can be successfully worn any time of the year. It doesn’t have much sweetness, but the powdery iris is beautiful and it doesn’t feel like an overdose of powder. I absolutely love this fragrance, and I think that those who enjoy green notes and/or iris, will thoroughly enjoy this. Gorgeous!
lanya
last year i was looking for a fragrance that smelled like baby oil but now that i've found it, i'm not sure if i like it. i probably don't like it because i can barely smell it on myself though.
brokesta911
Prada Infusion d’Iris (2007) - citrus iris - #danielarocheandrier ‘s perfume was one of the first perfumes that got me to fall in love with Iris in a scent and I remember going through bottles of this when I was younger, as it was both affordable and uncomplicated. Starts with a beautiful and smooth interplay of Orange, Orange Flower and Neroli. It transitions to Iris in such an innocent form - light, powdery, slightly green and dewy. I also smell cut grass from Galbanum. The dry down strips any complication fighting against the Iris accord and has an Incense-woody base.
churinl
Out of all the perfumes I own that I genuinely like or love, this is the most frustrating. I have a bottle of the original version, with no off notes or anything wrong with it, but it has the absolute worst longevity I have ever encountered! I have the same issue with the d'Oranger version, but this one is worse. I know it's not a fluke because I owned both of them back when they were first released and it was the same thing. It's as if the scent is hanging just out of the reach of my nose! I think it's really beautiful, but at this point, I have to augment it with another iris in order to smell it. I don't have the same problem with the Intense version (though there's a hairspray note in there that I wish I COULDN'T smell), but I've given up on expecting to smell this. I assume I'm anosmic perhaps to the musk they use, but I really don't know. It just breaks my heart! 😔
symphony5mvmt3
This is such a lovely fresh scent. I described it to a group chat as like window cleaner given as a gift from forest fae. The earthy notes remind you of where you will end up once you reciprocate the gift. A very pretty agreeable iris.
anastasia.privalova
Iris is a cherished ingredient among perfumers, especially when crafting powdery fragrances. This flower wonderfully encapsulates the essence of vintage French powders, luxury brand lipsticks, and other cosmetics with timeless scents. At times, brands strive for such realism that some critics liken iris compositions to the "scent of grandma's closet." Infusion D'Iris stands as an excellent example of a beautifully balanced fragrance. Instead of introducing wiry leaves to impart bitterness and freshness, or an abundant dose of musk that would transform the fragrance into a genuinely powdery sensation that titillates the senses, the brand's perfumers chose to complement the olfactory pyramid with subtle white flowers. This approach accentuated the composition's sweetness and authentically conveyed the essence of iris.
Ferra_Verto
Lovely fresh & clean scent; fluffy iris with sharply clean neroli, and a touch of sweetness by the orange flower accord. Woody base allows it to cling with more ease on skin & clothes.
I'm surprised there are no aldehydes in this, there's a sharp fizz that feels very aldehydic with this scent.
Good sillage, lasts around 4-5 hrs. Best worn in warmer months.

Wow wow wow. This smell JUST like gucci by gucci. My mom wore gucci when i was a toddler and still has the “vintage” bottle and never uses it because it’s discontinued. I’ll definitely buy this for her.
Beautiful!

I think there are a lot of people reviewing the newer 2015 version of this fragrance on this page. This one comes up first in searches, which is an issue and why this is happening.
This one, from 2007, is long discontinued, so if you just bought a bottle, check which version you have. The notes are on the sleeve of the fragrance. If you just tried this in store, this is not the page to write a review on, because that will be the new version. I hope this helps to prevent confusion.

Very basic scent, due to the hype almost blind bought a FB, happy I got a sample
olivebiter
Opens with a strong baby oil scent, and nothing else. Very glad I bought a sample before purchasing.
clairesque
Impression from a paper strip: This is such a nice scent that's clean and easy to wear. The iris and woody notes are very light under a powdery veil. I'm very impressed how carefully balanced this fragrance is without veering into being too soapy, too powdery, or too masculine.
aweso10
this scent is so basic but i still love it... you can't go wrong with a straightforward iris
Siv7Stars
OK I sharpened my giant pencil, now what? Waiting.. hint of powdery iris.. & BIG PENCIL SHAVINGS. Fine they are sophisticated Prada pencils but they still so very pencilly. Unisex, perfectly perched on the fence between the sexes. I quite like it but probly won't go out of my way.

I agree with the comment that this projects an image of a posh, restrained, and elegant lady who is cool and collected at all times. There is an initial burst of soft florals, which dries down to a clean powder that lasts all day on clothes and skin, very linear. As iris in the flower world does not really have much fragrance, I find it hard to say how much that note is evident here. I feel that this perfume exudes focus, and would pair well with clean lines and minimalism in wardrobe aesthetics. It's also soft and feminine enough to be worn everyday and I can't see it causing any offense in confined spaces. An uplifting and calming fragrance for crisp days in January, or throughout Spring.
This is what the Boss Lady sprays on the morning before a power meeting. She looks sharp, prepared, and ready to make million-dollar decisions.
Calinare
It literally smells like freshly washed linens without any fabric conditioner. Or just a plain white soap. Very clean and subtle. Although, my skin chemistry amplifies the wood a lot which is kinda a shame. I tried to run it down with water to remove the excessive wood and it smells lovely. It's far less complex than Chanel No 19 and it really just smells like powdery soap rather than a perfume. 6/10.
Mycoleman2800
I bought this when it first came out. Iris smells wonderful with my body chemistry. I still have my original bottle with just a little left in it. It's a blanket of clean powder, not powder that's for someone older. But it has something bright in it that lifts the powder and makes modern (probably the orange and vetiver). I was 28 when I bought this, I'm almost 43 and I will never go without this (and Versace Versence). I've already purchased another bottle of the original off eBay.
étoilesdejasmin
such an enchanting scent. Enchanting it the perfect word to describe it. There is nothing quite like this one that I've tried.... oddly it is in the same catagory to me as lolita. Airy, whimsical aromatics.
Though I understand the reviews saying it’s boring or mature - to me it smells like a unique elixir. It smells like what I imagine a woodland nymph would. there is something for me personally so sensual and mystical about this scent. It doesn’t shock you, it just transports you.
Thankfully I haven’t come across many wearing it, so it’s untainted to me. I truly have no idea why I am so delighted by it. Probably a subconscious childhood connotation to one of the notes.
strongerwithglue
Simple and clean. It's nice. Kinda boring. But I really like iris, so.
KingJay
I bought this because the d'Homme was hard to find back in 2017. I wore this 2019 and a gentleman who was working on the house renovation asked me if I smoked weed?!I guess Iris to some,it smells like weed :] This a classy and subtle fragrance.
H_thur
This was a signature scent for me for a while. It’s a beautiful, powdery floral that is light and inoffensive. Have gotten comments that it smells a bit grandma-like but I still love it. I do think it would work great on men, but most men I’ve asked didn’t particularly like it. Lasts forever sprayed on clothes, but lasts average on skin (like 3-4 hours). I wouldn’t say it smells overly complex to my nose, more so simple, clean and of a powdery musk. Not sweet in the slightest, and definitely for more a mature demographic.
Adriennne
I like it but it smells boring and has super poor longevity... like less long lasting than Omnia Crystalline. It smells like watered down version of chanel no 19 poudre and is less green. Smells like powdery sweeter version like shaving cream
AMMILLER
I love this clean, classic, unisex, inoffensive. A clean iris with a hint of mystery. It smells like high end laundry detergent.
fleader
To me this is the smell of Vogue magazine because I always used to smell it in foldouts back in the day. Actually moodwise it reminds me of Vogue as well--kind of aloof, classy, but still with a sweetness from the resins that gives it more crowd appeal than your typical powdery scent. It's just lovely, it smells very clean and warm. A bit of a churchy tinge because of the resins and incense.
This is what I wanted Serge Lutens L'Orpheline to smell like. The incense and musk in L'Orpheline for me gets buried under a shaving cream smell, but here it is elevated by the prominent resins and violet.
Though Infusion d'iris is not very sweet at all, it shares a DNA with Prada Candy--they both have that signature Prada powderiness, as well as prominent benzoin.
eleninanou94
Excellent! Bought it on sale, because although I work with children I can;t imagine me not wearing perfume. This one matches my expections and it's very subtle and pleasant
thestranger
I can imagine a very posh older woman wearing this. The type of woman who manages to somehow look cool and collected on a hot day when everyone else is sweating. It has a luxe soap vibe. Subtle but distinct.
GnomeChompskey
Im usually a fan of fragrances that aren't so perfect and tidy, that are a little rough around the edges, however, this is the one exception. The citrus, incense and woody notes transform the boring note of Iris into an elegant, mysterious scent. I like wearing this one to school as its inoffensive yet still noticeable.

This is beautiful, soft, powdery, and a bit citrusy. Perfect for a European summer
antoniov
I got it as my husband loved smelling it on me but I can't say I particularly enjoyed smelling it on me. There's something strong about it that didn't help me love it but as I said others liked it on me so...am a bit undecided. Probably time has come to part ways and try sth else..

This beauty reminds me of Paris because I bought it when I was at my first trip to Europe and I went to Paris :) there was a kind lady at the perfume store who picked this fragrance for me. I was 12 and maybe it was little bit old for that age but I adored it. It smells like a vintage body powder. It’s green and powdery to my nose. It’s clean, elegant and suitable for office :) but there is a one problem about this one it’s not long lasting :((
Jose Marcos
@ilayda, have you tried the Absolue version ? It's somewhat an oriental version of the OG Infusion d'Iris EDP. And significantly more feminine ...
ilayda
Very classy timeless scent. I dont reach for this one much as I find incense not a signature note for me. I am a gourmand type of gal but that said this is my favorite woody iris scent to date. Definitely for a cool spring day. I smell alot of citrus in this scent too. All in all I really like this scent :)
butter3
Quite a bit of musk. GreT iris. Be even better with more iris and tiny bit less musk. Still great. Smells like a great shaving cream
lysithea
Where i live we use mastic very often. We cook coffee and deserts with it. Mastic ice cream is my fav. I get fresh flowers some wood and mastic from this gem. I love it mostly because of the mastic note.
MegWhite
This used to be my signature fragrance and I still think about it from time to time. It's timeless, understated and classy. I used to love smelling it on myself, but it wasn't really a crowd-pleaser. There's nothing stereotypically feminine about it and men tend to not even notice it. It also lacks longevity. Still, I love it.
Omina
I love it !this the odeur if an Italian or greek morning at the islands ,as the sun goes up! Sophisticated simplicity, clean ,fresh beauty, class. Doesn't screams but it take you breathes away. The only thing Im really disappointed about ,is that my skin really devorates it...so after 2 hours ,is just a whisper breeze above the Aegean sea!
Yes Malena
I have thought about buying this because it's accomplished, likeable, pleasant. It is missing something for me, possibly too polished in a way I am not looking for. A good perfume.
Anahita3
My mom used to wear this one all the time when I was younger and I just remember thinking how simple yet elegant the bottle was. This is the one that everyone stops me to ask what I’m wearing and depending on my mood I tell them … or not 😏
loliirain
Love smelling this on others, but on me there’s something that turns spicy and headache inducing. Notes don’t list pepper, or patchouli but I certainly smell it. I can tolerate it in the spring, but in the summer it leaves me woozy.
ayken
One of the most unique iris scents out there. It doesn't give me warm feelings but rather summer freshness but in a forest type of way. the woody notes come out so well with the iris and powdery notes. And I believe the freshness might be because of the neroli or vetiver in it. 9/10
sjcita
One would think that with all of the great reviews, this would knock it out of the park. But NO! At least not for me. Years ago my sister and I went on one of those 'Sniffapalooza' over-priced perfume tours in NYC. While at Bergdorf Goodman's we each bought a bottle of this perfume after being given a very flamboyant and aggressive pitch by a salesman. A few days later we both regretted our purchases greatly. To me, this fragrance is a heavy and thick iris and aldehyde concoction that unfortunately gives off a urine scent after an hour or so. It's really a pity, because I love Prada's Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger, which is a potent and long-lasting shimmering orange blossom and sandalwood masterpiece. So, I ended up returning the Infusion d'Iris at a local Neiman Marcus (I believe) and they had a program that mailed back the perfume to Bergdorf's.
kathmelegrito
This is a well rounded, particularly pleasing scent. It is mild enough that it can be worn to bed. I enjoy this tremendously.
blossomka
8.5/10. I have owned this perfume for a while and this is my second review. Infusion d'Iris is my go-to perfume when I want to enjoy. I am never disappointed or having to suffer all day because I chose the wrong perfume for the occasion or my mood. It does not challenge me much but it always pleases me. I like it regardless of season or temperature. It's the most versatile perfume I own.
corgi02
This was just a horror show. I had to try and scrub it off immediately. It's amazing reading these reviews, how different people experience scents. I can't imagine how someone could interpret this so differently. Just a revolting powder stink mishmash of scent. and not a nice powder, I actually like a powder note but this was just a stinkbomb and my nose is not sophisticated enough to tell you why.
Skinterpreter
I'm wearing this today and to me, this is like summer in a bottle. The combination of iris, citrus and woody notes give the iris very refreshing and green "look", very different from the sweeti-ish powdery iris I know (and absolutely adore). It's a light, daily scent. Very pure, inoffensive... so this is the other one of the two perfumes I like wearing during the extra hot summer days. :) when it's way too hot outside to wear those "heavier" perfumes I normally prefer.
Balletflowers
I have been wanting to try this perfume for so long, finally bought a bottle, blind buy. After first spraying, I knew why I kept passing on this. This is a very powdery, iris scent. Giving me cashmere vibes. I don’t typically like that kind of scent on me. I know someone mature in my family, maybe an aunt or a grandma wore this. I don’t know, I’m regretting buying it.
Repogirl
I have wanted to love this for so many years. I kept trying it over and over anytime I saw it somewhere only to be disappointed time and again. The descriptions fit my type of scent but this never did. I actually really disliked it previously. But oh how I wanted to love it!! I left it alone for many years and recently just took the plunge and decided to purchase it (blindish?) hoping my taste has changed enough to like it. While I do find it more enjoyable now than I did years ago, I still find it underwhelming. I get powder and cedar and that's about it. There is also this underlying playdoh vibe I get, it's not bad though and I don't mind that part of it. While pretty and calming, it's just not enough for me. I just find myself longing for more.... more of what I am not sure. And the longevity is so poor for Prada. IMO, Prada La Femme is so much better in every way.
Advaitaforever
A beautiful, nostalgic and unisex Iris with a perfect frame of noble incense. The iris is powdery and soapy, projecting the upmost freshness and it's perfect for sweltering summer days. The Cedar is surprisingly prominent in the dry down and quite balsamic, adding maturity and sensibility to the scent profile. Altogether, a very soothing, appropriate and beautiful corporate fragrance. I see someone wearing a pale blue blazer, a crisp white blouse, well-fitted blue denim jeans dressed up with a pair of Oxfords and Ray Bans. It has the same effect as a mature friend who clasps your hand calmly and gives you reassurance during your moments of anxiety and stress, they are the voice of reason and cool you down so you can proceed logically. This fragrance is that friend.
Eribert
Infusion D'iris starts off with what its name promises: a cloud of fairly dry (although not the dryest of dry, I will give that crown to Chanel No. 19) iris that is bedded on pleasant, non-citric greens. I clearly smelled the galbanum, but there was something else that is hard to describe. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the neroli - in fact, I didn't get much of it on my skin. My guess is that maybe it was the mastic, because it had a pungent green quality that reminded me of juniper.
One hour in, the green notes subside and make space for a full powder brush scent. It's smooth and cool and well-balanced, without any sweetness. Present, but never in-your-face. At this stage, I mostly got iris and incense.
3 hours in, the incense is gone and leaves a faint sweetness - barely there, but just enough to notice. I somehow associated it with almond-vanilla-cookie dough - a very high quality European one, not what you might get somewhere else. Now, there is a back-and-forth between the mental images of cookie dough and the powder brush note which I found to be an interesting transition. This also marks the peak of this fragrance's performance, until it fades away after barely 4 hours.
Infusion D'iris is truly unisex and almost ageless. For teens and younger twens it might be too calm and subtle in its beauty. I don't mean to discriminate against anyone for their age, but I feel Infusion D'iris has an introvert, introspective aesthetic that might not appeal to most very young people. This being said, I think Infusion D'iris was made to be worn by men, women and everyone inbetween from 25 to eternity. I honestly can not imagine many people who could not wear this agewise, except for if they cannot identify with the fragrance profile which is sophisticated and conservative in the best meaning of the word.
To me, Infusion D'iris radiates an upper-middle-class air that lends you a calm confidence which is beautiful to bask in. I would love to put this fragrance on for an evening at the opera house or for a classical concert.
I don't believe in signature scents. However, were I looking for one, from where I'm standing now this might be it. I wholeheartedly recommend Infusion D'iris. It is a true beauty.

Wow! This is beautiful! It starts off pretty green, citric and balsamic-sharp, but quickly settles down to a lovely, elegant, powdery, almost-herbal type scent. The sharpness is still there, but it's def further in the background. And this has just a smidgen of sweetness, like the kind you'd smell in expensive baby powder, that grounds everything and makes it more feminine.
Overall, I find this to be pretty unisex, and it smells like something my grandfather used to wear. This is def not a warm scent. More like clean, bright, and calming. The feeling of it reminds of the cool, crisp air of autumn (in the Northeastern states)- where you can smell the scent of greenery mixed with the smell of fallen leaves, and sometimes, the chilly air nips your nose.
It definitely smells very grown-up, sleek, and chic. I already love this so much, but I wish it performed better. This perfume fades so quickly on me, I can't get it to last more than 3-4 hours 😓 It does do better on clothes, but not by much, and let's be honest, every perfume does better on clothes.
I still love this scent tho! I would def recommend atleast trying this if you're looking for something different from the sugary gourmands/sweet florals/patchouli anything that seems to be so prevalent nowadays. You might just be surprised at how much you like this one.

this is the fragrance that opened my mind up to iris and powder, and introduced me to galbanum. a bit aloof and all the more intriguing for it, aided by the shroud of incense and benzoin resin. the white flowers and zesty citrus keep the benzoin from going syrupy or dense. it is *very* clear to me this came from the same nose that created my most beloved discontinued maison martin margiela (untitled) -- they share the galbanum and incense with citrus, just swap the iris for jasmine.
after falling in love with a sample only a couple years after its release, i got my mother a bottle. now i know enough about fragrance to know none of these are her go-to notes, which explains why every time i go to her house it's still there for me to wear over a decade later. the performance of that bottle is brilliant, i'm sad to see so many people are having issues these days, though i can't speak for that myself.

Dark and almost smoky on me, I love this but it doesn’t last long enough.
JaneDonut
On me this smells cloying. And like an old woman covered in moth balls. I wanted so badly to love this, but instead it is headache inducing and smells absolutely dreadful on my skin.
fanntonyoscar
Even with the white florals in it, this fragrance doesn’t cause me migraines. It’s a dream! It’s got that “Prada” quality that’s heavy in Candy Night that I adore, so this fragrance gets an A++ from me!
nadiadanika
I personally love this but more because it was my mom's go to perfume and the smell just reminds me of her! Super nostalgic vibes. The smell lingers on my clothes and it's just super comforting overall

7/10. I really like this perfume and feel very alert and focussed wearing it. Iris, sweet, vaguely violet, growing into fruity. A bit of musk skunk cabbage. Powdery and light in the air, ungrounded. Very nice from a distance. Slightly sneazy up close.

Unfortunately, the only note that projects from my skin is powder. This scent doesn't smell fresh, citrusy, or floral on me at all, and I'm extremely disappointed. It reminds me of the powdery perfumes my great grandmother used to wear, and I can't help but to think that I smell like an 85 year old. I wish I had more to say about this, but I truly only smell powder!

BlackCuckoo
An almost sweet, powdery, purple floral. Soft yet ever-present. Calming and uplifting at the same time. It has a little bit of a vintage boudoir feel to me. I put this on when I'm feeling stressed about my workday before it's even started.

Classic beauty. Iris, milky, calming fragrance. After wearing it for some time it became an almost melancholic scent to me. Have anxiety, perfect fragrance. Depression, not so much.
LaContessina
Ever since it was first issued, I owned a bottle. I started with the small 50 ml then had the 100 ml and now am towards the end of a huge 200 ml bottle.
To me, this is a calming and comforting scent.
It's my go-to when i feel nervous, anxious and i need to calm down.
Often I wear it before bedtime cause I know it will prepare me to relax and unwind.
Very modest sillage, indeed a skinscent, and lasts just that couple of hours needed to get some sleep and not interfere with it after.
Not my everyday scent (i prefer more statement-like frags for my outings) but a life saver. It's like a medication! It never fails me (aromatherapy, that's it) and i will never be without.

Weakest perfume I have ever owned in my life . Yes!
Received this for my Bday yesterday after reading so many reviews about it . Sadly , the notes are pretty but the overall composition is so extremely weak . This could have been a beautiful perfume had it not been severely watered down .
Attention to Prada and Chanel : Read the reviews of the products you sell . Your luxury products are often disappointing in their performance and consumers will not be ripped off forever .

this is citrusy scent and every single time i am wearing this feels like showering with baby powder not perfume 😂

This was my Professional Fragrance for several years. I was only in my mid-20s, the youngest on my team by a long shot, and Prada Infusion d'Iris made me feel like I gave off a clean, calm, confident aura. "Cool" is the word. But there was also something spicy to it, and something mysterious. It is strangely nondescript. More of a presence than a perfume.
I also appreciated that, although it was a new fragrance at the time, the tone was much more traditional than trendy. It didn't fit with the other mainstream fragrances of that moment. There is a slight sweetness, but only at the back of the throat. Nothing like the overpowering sugar bombs that burned my nostrils every day as they wafted off of other staff in the building. I felt bougie wearing this particular Prada...I'll admit it.
I still keep a mini splash bottle in my collection, but Infusion d'Iris fell out of favor eventually. I'm wearing it on my wrists tonight, for no particular reason, and I think (if I can find the original) it may be time to repurchase a full size...

Wanted to love this, found it linear and masculine.

Best perfume of my life. But it does not stay for long on your skin, max 1,2 hours. You have to refresh very often in a day. But I love it and I search for it in other perfumes and I could no find same or similar. This one is for people, who have an angelic spirit, people who believes in innocence and pure love.
Proustianity
I love iris in perfume, but it’s so often accompanied by scents that I do not love like vanilla, leather, or patchouli. These notes often overpower the iris, which is a difficult fragrance to capture in the first place.
Infusion d’Iris does not have that problem and lets the iris shine. It’s just sweet enough to fall on the floral side of iris, not the rooty and vegetal one. The citrus lends a feeling—a dryness—more than an actual scent…like the oil from an orange peel is dry and bitter. Incense gives it a smoky quality and cedar adds depth. The base notes make it feel calm, collected, and smooth. The overall effect is powdery without being cloying or suffocating. There are no sharp edges. Everything feels like it’s in soft-focus.
I’ll sometimes dally with some other perfumes when I crave something more intense, but then come back to Infusion d’Iris for relief. Suitable in all seasons, but I like it best in the winter when I’m feeling the most quiet and pensive.
valevaleria
This could be an intense flanker of Bvlgari's green jade.
Marino419
I am a full grown man and I love this. The iris reminds me of the Dior Homme line. I actually prefer this to any of the Dior Hommes. I don't know why, but I feel like this will be discontinued soon. I bought a few bottles for just in case.

I first smelled this on our lady CEO from my former job years ago. It really smells clean, fresh and powdery. For some reason, this reminds me of Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere. They don't smell the same but they do carry the same vein of being powdery, clean smelling and classy. This also reminds me of the original Johnson & Johnson's Baby Shampoo with that clear amber color. This smells comforting, clean and soapy. Love this!

It takes a lot for a perfume to move me these days, and by golly! This one did it! It is absolutely divine! I prefer florals which are deep and creamy. This is a gorgeous powdery Iris with depth. It lasts all day and keeps you feeling beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and feminine. I sniffed it on the store and was an instant love, so had to get myself a bottle. My friend smelt it on me and got one herself. I feel like this would be the scent I would wear if I was the CEO of a multinational company or running a country. Deep, strong and feminine at the same time. Definitely something I would recommend if you like florals and specially Iris. A complete winner for me!
lavender_wind.
Just received my bottle today. It looks lovely, simple and elegant, like the juice itself.
Yes it does have some resemblance to Chanel #19, but I think Prada Infusion d'Iris is better, as it is more versatile, powdery, and modern, yet does not lose the femininity and charm. The Chanel 19 somehow smells aged to me.
The initial rating is a definite "like," may become a "love" as I keep experiencing this beauty in the next few days to weeks :)

-Nondescript, mild scent.
-This turns into mild, very faint baby powder scent within an hour of spritzing on skin.

I finally received my beautiful Prada Infusion D'Iris. What a gorgeous perfume. Much warmer than I expected. This feels like an ideal perfume for Spring and Autumn. A lot of reviewers have recommended it for summer so I'll have to try it then as well. The iris powdery dry down in Infusion D'Iris gives me a Habanita, Ellen Tracy Bronze and L'Heure Bleue feeling. That warm comforting baby powder vibe. However, there is a bit more brightness from the citrus and vetiver/cedar combination. I will likely wear this perfume quite often at bedtime. I got the 6.8oz bottle and it is gorgeous on my vanity. The lasting power is also amazing. I sprayed it early last evening and today, it is still very prominent on my clothing.
Embot
Cosy comforting soapy iris, with citrus interruptions. Great signature scent, especially in the warmer months.

Do you remember a shampoo called Johnson's baby? This is the scent of prada iris. I love it though.
It's a bit bitter but soft and clean at the same time. It's like you just took a shower, feels so nice when you put on this scent.
Office appropriate. spring and summer.

The opening of this perfume is slightly sharp and green, but it turns into a lovely soft powder soon after. Especially in the middle, it is indistinguishable from Chanel No 19 Poudré. The main difference I'd say is that it smells a bit cleaner and less musky than No 19 Poudré. I used up a sample of this and would rate it 9/10. The only thing that doesn't make it 10/10 is that it would need to be a little bit more unique to be able to stand out from the smell of cosmetics, iris-powdery products, but it is a really really good scent and I might repurchase it in the future.

Clean, elegant, classy and for all occasions. Unfortunately very poor longevity on my skin
UnearthlyApothecary
I just bought a bottle of this that I got for a decent price I honestly don’t remember if I tried it before or not at some point, but as soon as I sprayed it on, I recognized the smell. It definitely reminds me of another fresh powder/iris scent I used to have. I’m going to try really hard to remember what it was because it was a spot on dupe and dirt cheap! I don’t find this soapy or think it smells like soap at all. To me, it reads more like expensive face powder. I love this, very classy and elegant yet something you could wear every single day. great silage too, lasts over 6 hours on my skin
Marina.Klr
Subtle, fresh, clean, floral, ideal for every day. It suits all occasions & has amazing duration and trail. This perfume is everything and nothing, it's so minimal but also is all you need. It sinks very softly into the pores of the skin, it becomes one with it, like a luxurious soap. White tablecloths and bright sun, oh what a classy scent! Μature and youthful-Some will say that it smells like an "older lady", maybe, but honestly it can be worn by everyone, men, women, young, old... I want to throw my straw hat in the sky, while I caress the hay around me and the light gives me hope...
marios2014
A sweety woody iris, super plain scent but so elegant and beautiful of its simplicity. Its totally unisex and has good longevity on the skin .

This shall be my first review since it's my first "adult" and conscious purchase. Unfortunately, I am not very good with notes (yet?) but the elephant in the room is iris-powder. This fragrance is a memory of one teacher back in junior high. She'd come in classroom, 8:15am, every day, very strongly scented of powdery something I never asked her what it was... She looked artsy, had very loud voice and a commanding personality but also friendly and funny. She'd throw us off with her fiery tamperament and reveal a theatrical, humorous and confident woman. Several years later, I sniffed this perfume by accident at a mall. Couldn't help but smile (still do even if I own it now) figuering out the scent of my teacher. I can't describe this perfume any better than the impression she left for me. In conclusion, yes this is a very clean and powdery but it's not sweet and weak. This is clear and fresh with pretty good longevity and sillage. Would recommend to any woman who wants to be innocently... in your face. Just like my teacher...
ElisabettaVanessa
Cool, elegant but enticing iris. The incense and woods are light but noticeable. This fragrance smells expensive, like something that would be worn by a beautiful, wealthy young woman who dresses in a flattering way without flaunting her sex appeal too obviously. A woman who knows her worth.

I was eager to try this, and was delighted when a very kind fragrance friend included a sample of this as part of a perfume swap!
This is definitely a huge departure from my "usual" scents, but it's one I could see myself picking up!
I totally agree with the top and bottom notes showing: on my skin, the iris, cedar, and incense are definitely most intensive (along with the galbanum and "mastic" (turpentine-smell)), and I get little to no citrus (which my skin usually amplifies!). I definitely enjoy the drydown much more than the initial moments after spraying it!
I will echo previous comments that it's a very clean and crisp smell...if you could put a smell on the month of September, I would say it's this! I think it would be suitable for most occasions, and would be an office-friendly scent.
Euphoric Effervescence
It was back when it first came out that I encountered this beauty. I was killing time in a perfume store.. just sniffing perfumes at random(my favorite pass time) All of the perfumes seemed kind of uninspiring..bland and generic to me.. nothing that stood out in any way. Then I happen upon this beauty. At first, I was taken aback by COMPLETE absence of sweetness, it scared me. I would put it back on the shelf and think wow this is so weird, but I kind of like it. I would go around the shop sniffing other perfumes, but I just couldn't get Infusion d'iris off my mind. I would come back to it many times over and smell it just one more time. I was trying to reason with myself. I told myself .. no, you can't pull it off.. it's too this, it's too that. But I could not resist the squicky clean seduction of this fragrance. It's similar to when you're in love with that guy and everyone can see it, but you. It makes me feel like I am a rich, sophisticated, minimalist upper-class woman who is beautiful and feminine, my house is in perfect order and you don't want to cross me.. because I am COLD and sharp like a diamond. I gave in and bought the perfume and body lotion. Since then it is my go-to fragrance. Years later I saw the advertisement for this perfume and I must say.. Prada nailed it! This is exactly how I feel/see myself when I wear this fragrance.

I have Infusion D'Iris Cedre which I like a lot.
Recently I advised my wife to buy Infusion D'Iris, which is brighter. I really like it too. Since my wife came recently to borrow my Chanel Paris- Venise, I will probably try her Infusion D'Iris as compensation.

I honestly purchased this fragrance because I am trying to find a perfume to replace my beloved 'Love Intense' perfume by Chloe. I saw this had a few reviews stating their similarities. but this perfume smells unisex, leaning more masculine; It is minimalistic and kinda boring. I do notice they share the iris note which could lean into the powdery field of flowers that i love but Prads Infusions d'iris was fail for me. I have been using it for a few days so i can tell you this was a non-successful blind buy :(

I really didn't know which version of the infusion d'iris that I had, but reading the box, it does list the notes in this fragrance, so I am now sure that I have added my review to the correct one! I didn't realise that there were two different versions with really quite different notes! This version seems a lot more complex from the listing, but I've only smelt this version, so I can't comment on the overall effect.
This is Johnson and Johnson's baby shampoo but in the form of a very well blended scent, it's very soapy and comforting. To me it smells like something an Edwardian lady would wash with. It would be good for an environment where you want something light and inoffensive. To me it is more spring-summer daytime, but not outrageously so, I can definitely imagine throwing this on for a winter evening after a long soapy bath.

If this fragrance were a painting, it would be an abstract watercolor. This fragrance is clean, minimalistic, and ethereal. It hovers above the skin. It is feminine but not girly. It's green, slightly bitter, and very powdery and musky.
When organizing my perfumes, I accidentally layered this with Chanel No. 5 L'eau, and it kind of smelled like Dior Bois D'Argent. If anyone tries this combo, let me know if you have the same experience!
MnM
I absolutely love this fragrance. Very feminine and elegant. I own a 1.7 oz epd which I've been using and am almost finished with and 2- 3.4 oz and 1- 6.9 oz of the original EDP (2007) backups :) I won't be running out any time soon.
mjhazard23
This is Jovan Musk at 5x the price. It’s baby shampoo. Good performance. Not something I want to smell like but does bring back childhood memories. 7.5/10
Volatile
The opening is a cloud of powder and citrus that gradually settles into subtle hints of incense and refined soap! Understated and beautiful! It’s something that you can wear to a job interview or when you go to sleep! It’s that versatile!

I've formed a very special relationship with this scent since I've accidentally ended up associating it completely with therapy.
I wore it a couple of times to therapy because the longevity and sillage is ideal for the time it takes for the travels + session itself. My therapist was immediately taken with it and described it as serene, noble and elegant. Or something to that sense.
It's very important to me that my fragrance doesn't disturb the people I come into contact with and so I kept wearing it to our meetings.
It's been with me through growth, bitterness, mourning, enlightenment, rage and thankfullness so immense I could barely put it into words. And I happen to find it quite a perfect use for it.
It's bright, joyful, somber, ethereal and considerate all at once.
I'm sure I'll continue to be comforted by green powder scents for years to come.

I discovered this fragrance when I was pregnant in 2nd trimester. I was going on a business trip and selected random tester from my stash with me - it turned to be Infusion d'Iris. As my mood at that time was pretty unstable, this perfume pulled me into very elevated mood. After an evening event, late night shower and good night sleep I remember next morning waking up with a powdery iris scent on my wrist.
Since then I am completely in love with this fragrance. My sister brought me 200ml bottle, and the more I use it, the more I like it. It's a fresh daytime fragrance for me, to be worn in extremely hot summer for spritz of freshness, although I know others who find this is way too heavy.
Basically the main notes what I feel is luxury powder scent from vanity table and iris essential oil mixed with a bit of musk.
PaulinaGillespie
Overprice for what it is. Smells nice and delicate but nothing special. It feels like a baby perfume in my opinion.
floralscents88
My 3rd Prada purchase(I have candy florale and La femme leau which i both adore) and so far Prada has not disappointed me yet. This one is another keeper/winner for me. This is a powdery beauty, which I adore. If you despise powdery scents then this is not for you. On me this is so very baby powder like, which I happen to love. Soft floral, comforting and elegant.

Just wanted to pop in and add to my previous review for the original version. Today was one of those warm, spring-like days that occur every now and then prior to the actually onset of the season. It's 70 degrees out and I decided to try this out in the warmer weather. As much as I already loved it, I now love it 100x more. I'm talking butterflies in the stomach, eyes rolling to the back of my head L O V E!!I can smell all the powdery deliciousness of iris, along with it's rooty, earthier aspects. I feel like this is the first time I have ever fully understood just how exquisite iris can be! There is still plenty of watery green freshness, but in the warmth of the day, this is all about the iris! I am going to order a travel size right now so I can freshen it up during the day.
If it is warm again tomorrow, I plan on comparing it to the iris in another love of mine - Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile.

I find rhis chic and good for a woman who does not like the run lf the miĺ somens feagrances. A bit masculine but not oberly so. Tje sillage is not good for me though,i wanted to buy it but it lasts sp short

I’m not sure I actually know what iris smells like, but this is a lot greener than I was expecting. Especially when everyone comments on the powdery accord so much. I blind bought this because it was relatively cheap and I’ve wanted to try it for a while. It definitely has an “expensive soap” feeling to it which I don’t mind at all, and I don’t hate it by itself. However I tried layering it with Solinotes Fleur de Jasmine and it ascended from “tolerably nice” to exceptional. I adore this mix and can’t wait to try layering it with other heady, deep florals, maybe even vanilla or musk. The Prada definitely outlasts the Solinotes in terms of longevity, but I find by then the greenness has toned down significantly and it’s still lovely.
Jacklyn's Perfumery
I can't believe how much this reminds me of Chanel No 19 Poudre and could be the closest dupe you could find for less..but this is without the extreme powderiness of Chanel Poudre and this has a bit more citrus and less power with the Iris. Either way, it still smells just as much good as I remembered it. It's still green from the galbanum and it's a bit cold, but very much a clean refreshing scent you can wear for spring or for daily wear or in the office. If you feel Chanel No 19 Poudre is too much for you to begin with I would try this one first as it's easier and then walk your way into Chanel Poudre next or even layer the two. This fragrance is on the lighter side on skin but lasts forever on clothing. I got an original formulation and I'm happy with it. I think gourmands are my favorite but I'm starting to love more greener fragrances and appreciate them.
panda-inc
Aaahh, this scent is so comforting to me. I put a spritz behind my ear and it feels really warm and nice right before I go to bed. I only have a 30ml bottle so have to ration it, though.
DebiL1211
All I smell is a newborn baby. That's it. It isn't unpleasant just boring. Not that newborn babies are boring. It does have great longevity and I find it calming. You know! Like when you hold a newborn baby.
Honestly don't think I will splurge for a full bottle but I will enjoy my sample while I have it.

I am not a classy woman.
Don't get me wrong, I can DO composed if the need arises. I can allow myself to seamlessly converse in cut glass tones of received pronunciation and communicate confidently, with the erudition of someone educated far beyond my own high school level, when the situation caalls for it. Sometimes we all need to be able to radiate a more elegant and sophisticated persona. Is it acting? Sure, but no more than most of the performative gestures we embody in the various roles we play throughout our lives.
At heart though, I'm more of a tomboy. Sure I love my skincare, my make-up, my fragrances, my handbags and whatnot. But I'm also a loud, sometimes obnoxious, belligerent, headstrong harridan, who loves motorbike racing, boxing, mosh pits at metal gigs and I've been in more fights than I have shoe shops. I'm also klutzy, have no sense of balance/spacial awareness, fall over at least twice a week and as a result get to regularly display more cuts, bruises and scars than anyone crazy enough to step into the ring with Joe Calzaghe. Most days I can be found wearing a hoodie, DC's and some camo trousers. Classy is not a word that comes to most people's minds when they think of me.
But every so often, when the mood takes me, I reach for a certain bottle of fragrance and find myself immediately standing up a little straighter. Two spritzes to the neck, two the wrist and my movements become magically more careful. Deliberate. My voice lowers, softens and starts to enunciate each and every syllable, as an inner sense of calm and serenity washes over. In that moment I'm Grace frickin Kelly y'all.
Infusion D'Iris does that to me. I might be pottering about the house in my slobbing out gear, or donning a suit ready for an interview. But regardless of the situation, this perfume achieves the impossible. It makes a goddamn lady out of me. And trust me, that ain't no easy feat.
The scent itself? It's a cool rush of green, powdery iris with a slight hint of muted neroli and a grounding of cedar. I love iris notes. This isn't exactly a 'true' iris note we have here, it's much more synthetic. It's not as pungent. Not as rounded. But the delivery is crisp and to me, immediately mood affecting. On a cold wintry day, the citrus notes are much more noticeable and a blustery wind will deliver a sharp, almost metallic, potent aura of the White Witch in The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. On a sweltering hot day where you already feel fetid and skanky, immediately after a shower, Infusion D'Iris acts like a refreshing cologne; it will soothe your febrile mind and make you feel brand new.
It's perfect for all year around, can be worn day or night, is office suitable, perfect for meeting the SO's parents, or even on a night out. This liquid is pure class in a bottle and I am going to be so sad when the one I have (my 3rd bottle) runs out because I don't think that the recent reformulation is quite the same. Thanks for giving me those occasional moments of genteel ladylike composure, Prada. It's been a ball.
churinl
Sublime. I have no idea what the new reformulation is like, but the original is a masterclass in restraint and elegance. I remember when this was launched. I have always been a perfume head, but had yet to become a full-fledged perfumista and collector. I wore one fragrance at a time, and this was the one I wanted. My dear husban took a mental note, and presented me with what he thought I wanted for my birthday that year, but accidentally purchased d'Oranger. This wasn't a bad mistake, as it too was quite beautiful. But anyway, here I am almost 13 years later, and I FINALLY have it in my collection. I couldn't be happier. Read the other reviews for the notes. I am just going to sit back and enjoy it.

I am scouring Ebay for "vintage" bottles. I definitely need backups.

It's too powdery for me and I hate powdery florals. For those who do, however, it's nice - not my style but nice for those who love powdery florals.

I'm waiting for a crisp spring day to wear this one. I used to wear it but it gave me a headache for some reason so I will retry to see if that happens again, because I love this one so much it breaks my heart that it gives me a headache :(

This liquid is pure class in a bottle and I am going to be so sad when the one I have (my 3rd bottle) runs out because I don't think that the recent reformulation is quite the same. Thanks for giving me those occasional moments of genteel ladylike composure, Prada. It's been a ball.

Classic beauty. Iris, milky, calming fragrance. After wearing it for some time it became an almost melancholic scent to me. Have anxiety, perfect fragrance. Depression, not so much.

You don’t need to scream to be heard.
This is a genius fragrance, simple, but genius.
Not sweet, not floral, not fruity, not citrusy and not woody.
Yes - powdery, yes - soapy.
Reserved, cool and introverted.
Yet classy, sophisticated and elegant. Unisex, just like it’s twin brother Infusion d'Homme (I have both).
It doesn’t scream at you, but it’s not silent.
It’s the smell of a clean body - when you get out of the shower after you’ve washed yourself with expensive soaps, shampoos and conditioners and then apply luxurious body creams.
On me it lasts all day and has a medium sillage.
This fragrance would be perfect for:
Those that are tired of all the popular jam-like sweet playful girly perfumery that is flooding the modern market.
Those that work as doctors, librarians or in the office.
Those that are going somewhere where perfume may be inappropriate: funeral, surgery, long distance travels.
Those that are sensitive to perfumes or are pregnant.
This fragrance would be also great in a situation where you shouldn't show your emotions and need to stay professional with a poker face. Because it’s so classy, aristocratic, feminine, elegant (but snobbish), to me it associates with England, so I imagine this fragrance would be something Duchess of Cambridge would wear.

You know how you read about a new perfume, and it just sounds wonderful to you, and you read all the rave reviews, and you get all excited, and you just HAVE TO HAVE IT, and you finally get to test it on your arm, and............you hate it? Infusion D'Iris is that perfume for me. I did a test spray, and waited. It was light and very understated when I first sprayed it; I love light , fresh fragrances, but I was completely underwhelmed. I was puzzled; where were the beautiful topnotes everybody raved about? Undaunted, I continued shopping for another several hours, and kept sniffing my wrists. The fragrance became increasingly strong, powdery and cloying. Considering that I love several Annick Goutal perfumes which can definitely be described as "powdery" , I tried to figure out why I disliked it so much. What the hell happened? All I can tell you is that by the time we went for dinner 4 hours after my test spray, I was in the restaurant ladies room trying to scrub off the heavy, cloying powdery scent that completely enveloped me . From Eau De Toilette!!!! And I couldn't get rid of it. It STAYED through 3 scrubbings. I had read lots of reviews where there were lots of complaints that this fragrance lacks longevity. Hello? SERIOUSLY? I just took a bath, and I can still smell it on my wrist!!! It's like the fragrance that won't die. Needless to say, I won't be buying any. I really hate it. And the really funny thing is, for those of you who love this fragrance- and I know there are many -I understand. And don't blame you if you feel a little defensive and irritated and think, "she clearly doesn't have a clue what a good perfume smells like"....I've been there and had my favorites be the subject of scathing ( and completely unjustified :)) reviews, and I felt exactly the same way. I really wish I loved this, but unfortunately it was a crushing disappointment. Sorry!

Somebody described this perfume as "cool, introverted", and that, I think, is spot on.
This was one of the first perfumes that i really loved, felt drawn to and picked out to be my signature perfume. This was when i was in my mid-teens; but let it be known that I was no regular teenager, and first and foremost I was trying to find an identity - and no, I was definitely not trying to fit in amongst my cookie cutter peers. So, think of me as that cliché: "an old soul". Intelligent, creative, odd, full of myself, cocky, cold and a bit of an outcast. This suited me perfectly for a while.
Do not get me wrong - this is definitely NOT childish, and it is definitely NOT innocent, light, fresh or an "easy" smell. It is straight forward, quite big and strong and in your face.
Coming from a beginner: This isn't woody, but there's definitely a smell of herbs, or roots. A camphorous smell. The iris has the center stage, and on my skin I do not smell much citrus in the opening.
Okey, so the crux with this perfume is this: I grew up, and gained a sexuality. I became a sexy sexual vixen, at least in my mind. This perfume just isn't sexy, not that way. Its not unsexy in the slighest, it's just too damn modern and serious and contemporary and chic and austere to be slutty enough for me these days. It is indeed cool, with a certain not very obvious warmth hiding beneath the sharpness of the iris and the galbanum, vetiver and cedar.
Actually, this also happens to be my mothers favourite perfume nowadays - she has taken it over. In a sense, this fragrance has quite a mature feel. I indeed felt older as a teenager than I do now, in my twenties. The word that least describe this one is probably "playful".
Sillage and longevity are both very good.

This seems to be a real 'marmite' fragrance (as we say in the U.K.), judging by reviews.
For me, it was hate at first sniff unfortunately.
I like a gentle Iris in a floral blend, but it turns out that when the iris is amped up it makes me feel genuinely and quite startlingly nauseous. I tried this in an airport, just one spray, and I felt I was going to throw up.
Harsh, synthetic Iris with a sickly, old fashioned soap dry down. Unpleasant on my skin, and that's being polite about it.

I wanted this because I was looking for a soft clean fragrance for daily use. Instead, I kept getting this powdery chemical dry down from this fragrance. I thought maybe it was due to my shower gel not complimenting it. I later tried it on a sample fragrance strip. After waiting for it to dry, I got the same awful result. There's something a bit nauseating about this! Starts off like French milled soap, it then changes to baby powder mixed with sharp floral notes. Not great at all.
Updated Aug 2016: Giving this a second chance. Will report back.
Update: Welp, tried it again with the same awful result. It smells like Cottonelle bathroom tissue and powder with added notes of floral. The chemical dry down I mentioned in my intial review (the toilet tissue aroma), is still there.

I have no idea what other people are smelling but to me, this is thin, sharp and strong. Like the air in deep winter or the way you might think Norway should smell.
I have many florals - more than I have posted, btw- and this isn't one of them.
I can't say that I love this, it's so angular, but it adds something to my collection that I need and I do have a large bottle.
It is the perfect balance to Bvlgari Rose Essential (one of my way too sweet unwearable perfumes) but when layered Iris evens it out perfectly. Crazy.
I ended up swapping this, but the above review is accurate.
