I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this one. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I put it on today, after owning it for a few months & just had to give it a review. It’s a buttery smooth tropical vacation of warmth. What I had hoped GUERLAIN TERRACOTTA would be - but wasn’t. That one was too sharp on my skin & had no longevity.

OLYMPEA SOLAR lasts the day with no screechiness. The beautiful citrus opening is over quick, but the luscious tiara flower takes over & the sun comes out. All the remaining notes (Solar & Ylang-Ylang & sweet Amber) are so well blended to create a rich summertime beauty. It does remind me of DOLCE GARDEN, but it’s somehow smoother & more sophisticated. Although there’s no coconut in OS, there is an imagined creaminess. This one does actually smell like a high end tropical resort. It just may be backup bottle worthy!

I’ve owned this one for awhile and didn’t realize I never reviewed it! To me, this is a flowery orange creamsicle vanilla bomb. I’ve tried a few orange flower scents, this is the most gourmand and vanilla heavy. Yet there’s no vanilla! Sometimes tiare turns super sugary on my skin-the tiare in Holidays by Mancera turns to white chocolate on me, my spouse says it makes the whole house smell like white chocolate somehow, so maybe it’s a chemistry thing. Olympea Solar is also the most gourmand out of the Olympeas I’ve personally tested. I get more gourmand than solar/beach but I think I’m a bit desensitized to solar/beachy scents sometimes as I live in a sandy desert in sunny Southern California, and my skin always radiated sun/summer smells even as a kid. Solar is the only other Olympea I really love besides the original, though there’s still many I haven’t tested, but it has nothing to do with the original scent-wise. The orange freshness keeps this from turning cloying in the heat, despite being incredibly sweet. I sometimes forget how sweet this one is until I spray it again. It isn’t a beast mode scent but it performs roughly as well as the OG Olympea, where as some of the other flankers I’ve sampled have poor performance. I’m not usually a huge orange scent fan but this is very good. Every time I think this perfume is too boring for me, I smell it and my eyes transform into hearts all over again. I had this on my wish list for years but didn’t want to blind buy as I was disappointed with other Olympea flankers I’ve tried. This should be its own standalone scent. It’s honestly one of the best Paco Rabannes I’ve smelled. Absolute love.

This scent is pictured in various packaging. Mine came with the black cap, not the clear; I'm not sure what the difference is. The opening for me is sharp and honestly a bit cheap/synthetic. It calms down after several minutes to become a generic powdery scent with a very slight fruit/sweet hint, but nothing distinguishable as a specific note. I don't get citrus, and definitely not the "beach" or "island" vibes from other reviews; it reminds me a little of Guerlain's Terra Cotta, more warm sunset than bright sunshine, if that makes sense. Different formulations, maybe? Possibly the reason for the different caps with the same bottle/name? Either way my black cap version is an ok, nondescript, powdery fruit-floral with no discernable features and very weak longevity. The whole show is over for me in under 2 hours. No real scent development, just a quick wearing off that becomes even less distinctive as it fades away. I'll probably gift it to my mother who appreciates weaker florals and powder scents that don't hang around long.

What a wonderful fragrance, so enchanting!
What poor performance!

Half an hour noticeable, around an hour okay, after that - a trace of scent, and that only if you know where it was applied and bury your nose in it.
And an "eau de parfum intense", at that!

Had to get a bottle to scratch that enchanted itch, but I won't be repurchasing.

Blind bought this after randomly asking a woman what was she wearing a few months ago. She only smiled and responded "Olympea" and the exchange ocurred so fast that I didn't get to ask her which flanker it was. Now that I have it I know for sure it wasn't this one but I'm still so glad I bought it!

This is warm, beachy and creamy. It has a skin smell that makes me feel like I've been under the tropical sun for hours. It is solar without a doubt and reminds me of coconuts but it doesn't smell like sun blocker at all. When it dries out it ends up smelling like a nice hotel/spa body lotion but i personally don't see it as a bad thing!

Don't think it's the most complex or unique fragrance out there at all, but I certainly didn't have anything like this in my collection and I'm glad to have it now. Can't wait for summer to wear this more often!

Perfume sumamente tropical.

NadiasmellsGorgeous

This smells like the most creamy perfect beach scent. I would liken this to Replica Beach Walk or Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc, except it is much more complex, creamy and lasts.
This smells even better than Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc, for 1/4 of the price. Where Tom Ford is very expensive sunblock, this is wealthy resort wear.
The orange blossom is smooth, unlike Jo Malone’s orange blossom which is zesty in your face.
This is the perfect perfume for your summer European beach vacation to the Almafi coast, or the Greek isles.
This will be my summer signature scent.

Orcadorka

Omg THIS IS THE ONE! Ngl I hope this one doesn't go viral but sells enough to keep being made because this smells like the best version of myself in a bottle! When I smell it I feel like a beautiful tropical goddess with flowers in my hair that lives in the water and likes to stroll through gardens of sweet-smelling flowers. It's gorgeously smooth and creamy and the tiare and orange blossom notes shine here. It's very warm and luxurious and has a bit of a mystical quality to it. It smells a bit like dolce garden except more developed and complex. I want to always smell like this but i'm afraid i'll go nose blind. Overall, it's a sweet gorumand-ey floral amber that is just so so beautiful. My only wish with Olympea solar is that it lasted longer than 5 hours.

perlarosa

My first impression that is veery amazing scent, it is different kind of seductive honey, vanilla scent. I love it at first sniff and went back to Sephora and bought it. But it is a huge remorse for me. When I went back home and sprayed it I realized that I no longer like it anymore. I know it is so strange but it is what it is. I don’t use it anymore because it’s really bothering me. I think it is because of tha ylang ylang. So overall I don’t recommend it. It is heavy bold type of scent.

I feel this was a match made in heaven for me. Literally fits my looks & my spirit. I love monoi, solar flowers, jasmine, citrus and vanilla. It’s like being kissed by the sun. Takes me back home to the Mediterranean…
My review is taking into consideration I love salted vanilla and sweet scents. You can smell the DNA on the dry down, but it’s quite different.

I bought this on impulse from duty free and it is one of few perfumes that I used up completely. It lasted me a year of using it every day (which is honestly impressive) but towards the end it started to develop a sour, slightly plasticky smell so do be aware of that!

The solar notes are done so well - there isn't really a 'sunscreen' vibe, it's mainly sweet, creamy, addictive white florals. Don't get the orange blossom at all, and the citrus lasts for maybe three seconds, but it is still amazing. It is definitely a crowd pleaser, I've never met anyone who didn't like it *on me*. However, it can definitely be overpowering on the wearer depending on your preferences, e.g. if you prefer more fresh scents.

If I had to compare it to one thing, it would be vanilla-and-jasmine scented icing that someone has accidentally mistaken for sunscreen and put into a bottle that used to contain sunscreen

AgnesEvaElise

I love this fragrance!

It smells like a luxurious white flowers scent, it’s long lasting and has depth to it. First I get a lot of orange, then a tropical sun-kissed skin vibe.

This one is very different from the Olympea og, it’s more mature and warm. Recommend<3

KP_Woods

I didnt really like the OG olhmpea. But this one is so creamy, tropical and sweet. Sometimes, it even smells delicious. Love it

autumnblue914

Never been that much interested in the entire Olympea range but I got a sample of this with a purchase and that sealed my fate.

Beautiful, sunny, sweet, tropical. The sweetness with the solar notes that smell like your skin under the sun makes it seem like your skin is made out of melting vanilla sugar, surrounded by tropical white flowers and orange. It just smells so warm and sweet, but without being too cloying. I only wish that the orange stayed for longer.

Bachi

My bottle just came in! The opening is very sweet and dense. I detect a slightly similar vibe to YSL's Libre Intense with added creamy flowers. LI has a strong licorice/lavender note that is very elegant. OS is a bit more feminine with the white flowers. Although it isn't listed, I get a tiny bit of that sweet licorice in the background which softens the white flowers. The orange blossom is so well done which otherwise could be a headache inducer but here it is so sweetly intoxicating! I love how the soft citrusy notes balance the white flowers. I love this perfume!!

Isabella2003

I loooooveeee this perfume. If youre a vanilla white floral sweet kind of gal this is the best blind buy u could ever have. I tried the original olympea but this blew me away. Its beautifully gourmand.

foxidius_

I was looking for a perfume, which is fresh and sweet at the same time, wearable all year around and not pricey. Many recommended the OG one, but it smelled awful on my skin. BUT THIS IS A MASTERPIECE.

sajtosnori

I don't like the OG, but this flanker is like to be on Santorini. The scent of Greeks sunshine, flowers and the perfect holiday heat. I am so happy I found it, the only bad thing that it is not in production anymore as I read it somewhere.
Longevity is around 4-6 hours, sillage armlenght, a bit more.

Lauraura

I really wanted to like this, but i find it lacks depth, i wanted to smell like i had been soaking up the sun on a beautiful beach, but someone told me i smelled like vanilla cake! i also own sun di gioia and find that has too much depth, im searching for something inbetween, i tend to layer the 2 to create the perfect balance.

juliacassu

My greatest compliment getter.
I wore it yesterday to meet a friend and she was sniffing around the room to find "what smells so good" until we realized it was me. I've heard many "someone here smells really good" and it's my boyfriend's favorite perfume on me.
I seem to be the only one around me who isn't crazy in love with it. But it is very nice scent, striking but not overwhelming, safe but not generic.

Catmo

This smells like the heat of the sun on your skin.
Beautiful.

imegaphone

This smells really great for maybe 20 minutes, then I detect a very strong synthetic sour musky scent (prominent in most releases since 2022) so if you are sensitive to that sour smell don't buy this. I know this fragrance doesn't have musk in the base but it's what I'm getting on my skin and the PAPER strip. Some people must be anosmic to this, but I've seen other reviewers notice this as well here on fragrantica.

Yvmm

It gives me vibes of freshly washed clothes, the smell of washing detergent, but then a bit sweeter. I got a tester and am really curious whether I'll like it more on another day. Don't get me wrong, I love freshly washed clothes 😋 but I'm hoping for a scent that I love about as much as the Olympéa mother scent. And the first attempt isn't quite that impressive.

Olympea Solar > Alien Goddess
Intense

This has more of a tropical feel. Get a bit of that banana custard note Ylang fragrances can have. It’s a nice add to my collection.

witch_x3

I really like this! It has that lovely tuberose bubble-gum vibe. Yet, my husband said I smelled like an elf bar. So, take with that what you will. It is sweet!

Aliennn

Didn’t work with my skin :( smells like baby wipes on me. So sad.

Edit april 2024: I let it sit for a couple of months and it smells devine now. I’m actually thinking about getting a backup

katiesimpsonhair

This is lovely! it starts off with a fresh citrus just like the top notes, very citrus and then as it settles down and sits there is a really creamy soft vanilla underneath, this must be the Benzoin which is similar to the vanilla note. I find this really comforting and soft even though it starts with a fresh sharp citrus., I like how it develops and is unlike anything else in my collection and very different to the original which I also really love. Good longevity which is a win for me 👍

HannahRosesAreRed

I'm a huge fan of Olympea. It's salty-vanillic marine vibe, impressive sillage and even more impressive longevity have made it one of my all time favorite perfumes and a go-to nighttime fragrance for all seasons. I loved the idea of Olympea Solar, and on paper, it sounds incredible. I was able to test this fragrance, and I was surprised by how little of an impression it made on me.

Olympea Solar isn't a bad fragrance. It's a perfectly pleasant, bright, sunny white floral perfume, tailor-made for light, heat and summer. However, it lacks the salty-vanilla DNA in every Olympea flanker so far, keeping only the jasmine notes. The tiare flower is a lovely addition, adding a banana and nectar-like nuance, and the ylang-ylang adds to the tropical flair. However, Olympea Solar is an overwhelmingly sweet white floral, very linear and lacking in depth. I unfortunately didn't get any of the orange or citrus opening notes–they disappeared in an instant, perhaps drowned out by the sheer power of the white floral deluge.

While I do like this fragrance, it doesn't make the same strong impression on me as its fellow flankers did, and my large collection of tropical, sunny fragrances means that Olympea Solar is too redundant to add to my collection. It's a good fragrance with lovely warm notes, but be aware that it's a departure from the salty-vanilla marine vibes of the OG Olympea.

Tracia32

It's the least similar of the flankers I have tried.
I don't notice the orange anywhere and didn't like it because it ended up smelling like a rancid lipstick on my. Thank heavens only tried it on my wrist and I don't find it too strong but it gives me a strange reminiscence to Burberry Her and I can't bare that perfume. I wouldn't know what it is. It's a shame but well, I still have the others as options.

suzanne_ronald

SWEET, CREAMY & SOLAR Tiare Flower with Powdery Orange-Blossom. Perhaps Paco Rabanne's answer to the Alien Goddess craze, this beauty doesn't bear much in common with the original Olympea. Opens with a burst of citrus & orange-blossom with sweet, powdery & tropical facets, that deepens into a floral heart of tiare supported by solar notes & oakmoss, with buttery, beachy & sweet nuances, all resting on a ylang-benzoin base. Aldehydes & oakmoss here are less prominent than the notes would suggest, and overall I get a sweet, beachy tiare-flower & powdery orange-blossom scent over a sweet balsamic benzoin base. Reminders for me of Alien Goddess Mugler, Dolce Garden Dolce&Gabbana and Hypnotic Poison Dior.

Contrast to Alien Goddess Mugler:
These are different, but there are some similarities with beachy sweetness. AG has a more forward jasmine, while OS has a more forward tiare. Both are quite sweet, with well above average performance.

Contrast to Dolce Garden Dolce&Gabbana:
These are different, but they're both signed by Violaine Collas, and there are some similarities, especially in the openings, although I had hoped they would be a little more similar. Both have a sweet, tropical opening, but Olympea Solar dries down similar to Alien Goddess & Hypnotic Poison Dior, while Dolce Garden dries down similar to Dior Addict EDP. Both are sweet, but OS is sweeter, while DG has a more forward milky quality.

Contrast to Hypnotic Poison Dior:
These are different, but there are some similarities, especially in the drydowns. OS has a more forward tiare and beachy quality not found in HP. While HP has a more forward almond. As it dries down, OS becomes more similar to HP although it retains the beachy quality throughout. Both have well above average performance.

Overall: Well above average performance, and although it has a beachy vibe, this is warm enough for year-round wear. Many noses may find this scent not different enough from Alien Goddess and the many dupes/clones it's inspired. However, if you don't already have Alien Goddess, this is a great one to try for a beachy yet warm vibe. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

gigiok

The beginning was really nice summery and solary. However the end is just Ariana Grande style plastic. It also reminds me on something very old from my childhood. Maybe a suncream. A no for me.

noodlehead19

SO SO gorgeous for summer! the orange in this is candied, not fresh; like candied orange peels instead of fresh orange segments. the tropical florals are super creamy and almost oily, like a suntan cream/oil in the heat. performance and projection are both average; extends about to arms length and lasts maybe 6 hours. definitely better suited for warmer weather than cooler, the tropical florals really shine in the heat. as some one who loves citrus in fragrance, this is perfect for me, but I can understand how the white florals might be too much for some. probably my fave Olympea flanker so far!

Maria19

The sun is in this fragrance. Although it has an intense scent, it softens harmoniously on my skin. The seller recommended this because I was looking for a summer scent. In her opinion, the best Olympea from the series. I really like this.

DolceValkyrie

I was so excited to get this perfume when I read the notes and it has actually exceeded my expectations!! This is a creamy creamsicle ginger parfait twinkling with, as the name suggests, bright solar notes. This is one of those easy reach fragrances because it just smells of happiness. If you have ever smelled JPG’s stunning (and sadly discontinued) Classique Essence, this one is definitely in the same family. It has the same smooth aldehydic ginger but where Classique Essence becomes a soft lotion scent in the dry down, Solar is brighter, sweeter and very candied citrus. This is nothing like the others in the Olympea line. No salt, amber or caramel. It’s a sophisticated, girly tropical candy adventure. Big love!!

Evie01

Surprisingly very ambery on my skin. Not strong at all, but maybe it’s me being partly noseblind. It’s my boyfriend’s favorite perfume on me ( he loves amber fragrances the most )

Definitely a sophisticated designer perfume, that is still very modern

Verlyss

I can see the appeal of it for people who like sweet fragrances, but not for me, it's too cloying. It's like caramel or vanilla syrup. I don't get any of the refreshing notes, unfortunately, to my nose as well as my beau's, this is a sweet syrup. But it's a touch better than the original Olympea, which sent me instantly reeling with a headache. This is admittedly better, but still not my thing.

coffeebean83

Most in the Olympea line are year-rounders for me. They give the vibe of summer but with the warmth/intensity that fits right into cold weather also. Olympea Solar isn't the same in that sense. I'd only wear this in spring/summer and maybe early fall if the sun is shining bright. It's a sunny(as the name suggest) citrus white florals dusted in a light sweetness. That's the benzoin I'm guessing. This is the brighter mood boosting Olympea. Love it. :) I pretty much love all the Olympea line though.

soumayaela

Just one word: dreamy
The perfect sweet tropical floral perfume
The orange peel added the perfect freshness that is missing in almost all the tropical perfumes, that i find tooooo sweet and nauseating
Just wow
Doesn't project as much as the other olympéas but stays forever on my skin
Can't wait for the weather to get hotter so i can enjoy it more

didsthecat

This perfume reminds me of sun cream and holidays in Spain. At first the perfume smells like sweet orange, then dries down into a nice creamy scent. I love it.

renataagathas

Maiazo

This smell EXACTLY like my most used sun lotion, but stronger. Very sweet, very Vanilla (The benzion i guess) i smell flowers but no citrus or orange. I like it more in the dry down when it becomes more creamy and a bit less sweet.

ChocoLei

This is an odd ball for me. How can a fragrance feel refreshing and warm at the same time? I love it.

The orange peel, blossom and mandarin combo in the opening is bomb. It's a very fresh, juicy mix of orange & mandarin. You can really feel the peel notes coming through. Very summery.

The middle notes and then the base notes go a step further in the magic. As much as I do get the sweet mix of tropical white flowers & ylang-ylang, something in the background is wrapping all of these notes in a really creamy and fresh blend. It absolutely gives me ice cream and I would go as far as saying it feels reminiscent of coconut ice cream. I'm not saying you will actually get coconut notes from Olympéa Solar but this fresh and creamy accord makes me think of no other type of ice cream but coconut. Go figure...!

Now, that being said, I think this would layer beautifully with a coconut body lotion. I'd try to go for a subtle, natural-smelling coconut (and not the super gourmand, desserty type) so it only complements the creamy accord without over-powering the rest of the fragrance.

Don't go too heavy-handed with this one if you wear it in really hot weather. It's still super pretty but it can be HEAVY. Let's try and not suffocate people lol. Other than that, it's an easy compliment-getter :)

Sammbac

Surprising! The first time I tried this I did a quick one squirt to the wrist, a quick sniff and thought hmm some pleasant florals. It was only after a good 5-6 squirts to forearms and clothing I detected the solar note. It truly is like skin tanning in the sun. Imagine a mix of Sol de Janeiro 71 with the orange blossom sparkle of Coco Mademoiselle and some tropical tiare and ylang ylang thrown in. It's beachy but not in the OG Olympea seasalt way, it's the sun on the skin and the scent of lotion and heady florals on holidays by night. Very pretty, sweet and warm. I'm trying it out in Winter but I'm not sure how it would work for me in Summer, perhaps a little cloying for a hot daytime but more appropriate for nightime or cooler days? This has much better longevity on skin than the OG for me. I could still smell it after 12 hours. OG and this one have greater longevity on clothing overall. There's something a little sharp in the OG not sure if it's the balsamic but I don't find it here. Either way I find both perfumes quite addictive.

Bokato

This’s what I’d imagine a pretty tan Italian girl wearing a white dress would wear going to a picnic in spring or summer with her friends after coming back from the beach just sitting on the grass smelling and looking pretty and elegant. Sweet creamy floral I can also smell coconut and vanilla but they’re not listed, longevity is not great but I still love it🤍🍦🍨✨

ykarnavusha

I love the scent from the bottle and from the blotter. When I spray it on me - extremely synthetic and gone in 5 min.

Frejaaa

smells like candied orange. love love love

raiza1990

Very pleasant! It smells like a delicious vanilla ice cream, with a touch of banana. It’s very sweet but not sickening. It’s feminine and relaxing. A sensual and uplifting scent with good projection. It smells natural and elegant. It was a pleasant surprise to me. It’s different from the others from this line and may even be my favorite.

FrkFors

Chalky, like you're breathing chemically perfumed dust particles. Orange vanilla dust. No tropical flowers as promised. Weak and watered down. The OG Olympéa before reformulation was truly a beachy goddess compared to this poor thing.

Abbaloney

I've been going to the shops often to smell this beauty. On the paper, its nice but on the skin its even better. It smells like youre at a tropical beach in Bali with a sweet creamy cocktail in your hand on a slightly hot day - you can literally smell the salt in the air as if youre at the beach. Definitely smells like summer but can be a nice summer/fall scent.

angelsvice

orange caramel creamsicle that unfortunately gives me a headache. it also is strangely salty to me. great staying power and projection on me.

medusa666

Smells like something else that smells like something else..It has no 'character', sweet coconut and Tiare blend, very common scent.
PC's fragrances lost their 'signature' after 2014 ..

ellovesperfume

i smell reminiscence of victorias secret bare vanilla in the dry down on my skin. its quite nice and smells like a coconut/vanilla beachy perfume

MademoiselleMaya

As much as I enjoy the classic Olympea, this does not give me even 10% of the pleasure.
I have a travel spray, and took it to holiday this year - it reminds me of the original, but my nose is full of chemical dust-like particles, the formula disintegrates, whatever holds the floral aromas does not do well on hot skin in high temperature. The classic Olympea rocks in such circumstances, its Solar version does not.
I say no to this in summer.
I would even say it is the worst Olympea yet.
To annoy me it has such a pretty bottle that it tries to sell itself to me ;)

perfume_angel

Smells like jelly beans!

both my sisters told me that I smell like jelly beans when I had it on. I love it, smells like a sweet summer gourmand to me. Also, what a pretty bottle! I will definitely be purchasing a full bottle soon.

ScentedPlaza

The very opening reminded me a lil' bit of Datura Noir, but once it started to open up, it became like Fanta with Olympea Legend base.

Emera1d

It is like a fancier, more expensive smelling Dolce Garden. Not identical but definitely close. Gorgeous bottle, wish the scent was a little bit more unique and special. Definitely a summer choice, could be great for a beach holiday. Solar is a spot on name for it as it does feel sunny and happy.

l_02mx

This isn’t anything like the original olympea (which I adore), this is a very big let down to me. It’s a generic white floral beach scent - which again normally I love those sorta notes but in here it just falls flat!

There’s no depth with this scent on me - it’s a linear white floral and quite literally nothing else. I don’t detect any of that citrus or those balsamic warmer notes. This also leans suncreeny to me and reminds me of that scent you get in expensive skincare products (I suspect it is those odd, vague ‘solar notes’). I own and love both Sun di Gioia and Coco Vanille, there is 0 comparison between this and those scents. I’ve written reviews on both of those fragrances as well but SdG is much more amber, vanilla, and frangipani heavy, Coco Vanille is a sweeter coconut and intense vanilla scent. I’ll be receiving D&G Garden soon and I’ll update here to see if I find any comparison. Not to mention it practically disappeared off my skin immediately. I’ll this one more time but I don’t expect any good things to come out from this scent. Definitely not a safe blind buy even if you enjoy this scent profile or enjoy the other Olympeas.

Ash212

I like it! Smells like apricots to be honest but I love apricots. Oh, I'm smelling my arm and this DEFINITELY smells like dried apricots. Very fruity - fresh and also sweet and sugary. I would wear it but ... maybe not on the top of my must haves.

lickroicevanille

Wow...this one is SO DISAPPOINTING. And I can't understand the raving reviews!!! I love Olympea Intense most, then the original, the flankers are not my cup of tea, and it's no different with this one. I was looking forward to it, and once sampled...utter disappointment. There's not much saltines, I thought it's going to be more similar to Kenzo Power, which I ABSOLUTELY love. It barely has anything i common witht he Original Olympea. It is summery, but has a heavy sunscreen vibe, with a hit of tropical coctail and this annoying ingredient which Givenchy L'interdit has, and I can NOT STAND IT. I'd say Olympea Solar is a mix of D&G The One Intense + Givenchy L'interdit with that annoying stink. Longevity on my skin: 2-3h, on clothes it's a bit more likable and lasts all day. There's not much development, not much going on at the top. You get what you initially smell and then it dries down to faint vanilla. I'm so grateful I haven't gone for a bind buy, was so close! I can also say it's quite similar to the new Mugler Alien Goddess flanker, same trend of new summery scents and nothing original. Ps. This doesn't even resemble YSL Libre in any way, someone below compared these two. They're nothing alike, shouldn't even stand on the same shelf!

Dianaoud

So fresh and light! Well balanced scent that’s not to sweet, not to fresh or to heavy. I liked it instantly! A light fudgy scent.

WifeyPink

So happy to finally get my hands on Olympea Solar! 💕 It's a beautiful sweet vanilla with a soft creaminess to it. Solar is super inoffensive & doesn't have that *obvious sexy vibe* that the og Olympea has. My nose wouldn't recognize these as flankers but wow 😍 I love it! If you enjoy gourmand vanilla I can't imagine you disliking this. The citrus orange peel vanishes at dry down on me. It's like a much more Creamy version of Voce Viva Intensa. I thought maybe the same vanilla from Alien goddess Intense but now I'm smelling both and it's not the same as AGI to my nose. truly the best blind buy I've had in quite awhile! ALLURING is the word that comes to mind for sure & classically beautiful woman as well. I really don't think anyone could dislike this scent. As long as you aren't expecting it to smell like Olympea & you enjoy somewhat gourmand Creamy vanilla then it's a great blind buy IMHO. I only wish this was easier to access here in the States. I'd love to find the matching lotion and whatever else they offer in this scent. Oh and I don't see this as a strictly summer time vanilla at all! I feel this could totally be all year round 💖 Edit, I was looking at the suggested similar perfumes and just wanna say on my skin & to my nose I'm NOT getting coconut or beachy. Just beautiful Creamy 😍 good longevity over 8+ hours & just gets more custard like the longer it sits on my skin it's like a 'subtle sexy' vanilla ice cream 🍦 with a tiny drop of oakmoss under it 💗 I'm living for this scent. Easily the best of 2022 so far and by far! Ice cream 🍦 💖 🍦 💖🥳🏆 🥇

Вдъхновяващ нов парфюм. Този и оригиналния Olimpea ми харесват най-много. Усеща се тиарето, портокала и ветивер много добре.

Oliviamarron11

This smells amazing. Really similar to YSL Libre on the first spray but drys down much sweeter. This is a perfect summer fragrance.

Leah0026

The dry down on this fragrance is so gourmand and delicious! It smells like a Raffaelo - melted white chocolate with coconut icing. The staying power on clothing is amazing and I find it develops lovely in cold weather too. Very different to the OG Olympea - no salty notes which can make me feel a little nauseous. Definitely FBW for me.

Gosh

Blind buy and love love 💕. I had high hopes because of aldehydes and they truly elevated olympea to a higher shelf. To be honest I never liked the original nor intense. On me both smelled cheap and flat. Solar on the other hand, has beautiful sillage and reminds me of beloved No.5 L'eau, but it's not the same. It's just the same family. This is sweater, more floral and tropical less aldehydic then L'eau. I get no coconut, no sunscreen. Does not remind me of Alien goddess at all. New love for summer. Fits any occasion during summer days. Office, school, lunch, beach, you name it. Smells clean, classy, yet flowery sweet and fun. I'm definitely getting a backup bottle when the price drops.

SailorV

As others have mentioned, this is quite different from the original Olympea. And I love it! It's one of my favorites from this line, along with the Intense version. This is not salty and doesn't have the intense clean florals of the EDP.
It's a dreamy summer scent with warm, beachy florals, zesty citrus and a vanillic, mouthwatering benzoin base. The orange and mandarine notes are so refreshing, juicy and lively with a tiny hint of bitter zest, and together with all the creaminess of the florals and benzoin they smell almost like a creamsicle. The florals blend into one big solar accord, I can't say that tiare, ylang or any specific white flower stands out from the others. On another site I found an additional note of fir balsam, which I don't even see on the official PR website, but I still wanted to mention it, because I really smell a tiny hint of something dark green, foresty in the background, that gives the scent even more of a Mediterranean holiday vibe. It's such a feel-good fragrance to me.

There are many perfumes in the same category, sweet tropical florals with gourmand accents are nothing new, but I really don't think that this smells just like Dolce Garden (another great one, but more edible) or Alien Goddess (coconut suntan lotion) or anything else I know of. The way the orange notes are blended with the rest makes it stand out to me. Delicious!

Tessa03

I could not agree more with the reviewer below me. I also go anosmic to this scent real fast. I LOVE the smell. I sprayed a tester in the air and bought the largest bottle on the spot. When I first spray it - it smells amazing...so sweet yet very fresh! I can smell it on myself for about 5 minutes and then it’s gone. When I was doing the laundry I grabbed a shirt that I had on while wearing this and I could still clearly smell the intoxicating fragrance. I don’t know if others can smell this on me but I cannot detect it BUT what I smell when first sprayed is utterly beautiful. I will keep and use up my bottle in the hopes that others will get wafts of this incredible juice!

Loevens

Edit/update.
I gave it a go in fall, and my problems with going noseblind to it has gone. I am on my second bottle of it and I love it now. I guess it just performs better for me in the colder months. I am also careful to not spray too much or too close to my face.

I am a sucker for these types of scents. Creamy orange blossom and ylang ylang with sweet tiare. The added solar notes are just wonderful. It's sweet, creamy, somewhat floral with little bursts of citrus every now and then ( depending on the weather) I see some people compare it to dolce garden, and I get what they mean. There is something similar about them. Although I much prefer the scent of Olympea Solar. I just wish it had the projection and lasting power of Dolce garden. My Problem with Olympea Solar is, that I go anosmic to it within the first 30 minutes of wear. So although I really really enjoy this scent, it is not a love for me. I just can't justify the price of it, with how poor it performs on me. I am half way through a 30ml bottle, and I don't think I will be repurchasing it. I could probably layer Alien Godess and Dolce garden for a similar, but much longer lasting effect.

stefani valini

Hello baby from Dolce Garden and Alien Godess! Yes, it's like a mixture of those with orange. It turn into orange creamseacle vanilla scent. The vanilla / benzoin smells almost like coconut.

It's smooth, creamy and blends really well with my skin chemistry. Its smell is delicious, it is the perfect summer perfume. I am in love with this perfume, it's so addictive. The sillage is really good, and it lasts +12h on my skin

I layered it with By the fire place accidently and OMG, its the best combo! Surprisly, very nice

It's the perfect scent to layered with woody, vanilla scent (Black Opium , Angel's share, By the Fireplace, etc)

marie-belle

The most delicious and warm scent ever. Lovely white florals that feel sunkissed and creamy. I weirdly smell a lot of Jasmine in this which gives its a lot of seduction. It is sweet, but not too sweet, it's more of a creamy sweetness that blends beautifully with the other notes. It's round and not sharp making it likable and easy to wear, on dry down, it's super warm and comforting. I don't normally gravitate towards perfumes like this, but OMG is it yummy. Perfect for summer, but I'd wear it all year round! Favourite release of 2022 <3

genny17

I got a sample and ordered a bottle, it smells delicious, it isn’t overly sweet, more like a summery scent, but not sunscreen type…it isn’t similar to any of the previous versions on my opinion, they have all been pretty nice, and that one is one I want..for its lightness, it’s prettiness, feminine too…smells like a beautiful body lotion..can’t wait to get it..it is mostly exotic flowers and solar notes to me, I don’t detect much orange.

Hansi1

To me it smells like a orange creamsickle. It is very sweet and linear fragrance but I absolutely love it. Sillage is moderate, longevity about 6h on skin and on clothes I can smell it still the next day. It doesn’t remind me of the other Olympeas at all maybe because there are no salty notes in it.

Pinkangel99

Wasn’t sure at first sniff it didn’t smack me in the face, but I needed time, as the day went on I sprayed a few more time smell the notes now I love it, summer fragrance and it does remind me a lot of alien godess, the fresh sweet orange with the jasmine and hints of a vanilla icecream smell, lush

Princessy

What a beautiful summer scent ! It is exactly what I wanted Alien Goddess to be but smells nothing like Dolce Garden, as I find it too green.

It's giving Soleil Blanc vibes, but orange blossom centered and less creamy. The sillage and the longevity is moderate but good enough for the summer.

The dry down better than what you get within the first minutes. It also works very well on colder weather. I sometimes layer it with vanilla perfume and it becomes delicious !

mechawitch

this was love at first sniff!!! as soon as I sprayed the tester I knew I had to get a bottle. It's so creamy, yummy and cozy... It's the perfect coconutty summer scent, and it does not get into sunscreen territory at all (which is hard in perfumes with this combination of notes). Also, it lasts for ages even in humid hot weather!!!

DiscoPolga

OMG this is so delicious. I don't get the citrus in the opening, only a hint of orange blossom - what I get instead is a creamy sweetness of tiare and ylang. It develops into the smell of vanilla ice-cream on me. Smells like summer in Hawaii in the best possible way.

Clair2583

I really wanted to like this but it made me feel a bit nauseous in the same way that Angel Nova did. I don’t know if it’s the orange maybe but not for me

darbyki18

I love this, but it may remind me too much of my Idole Aura. It seems to be a hair bit fresher, but will be redundant in my collection if I purchase a full bottle.
@yummy411

PurpleNewt

Smells like hypnotic poison / dolce garden hybrid. Very cloyng, definitely not one for me.

kkaattjjeess

The moment I smelled this I knew it's very(!) similar to something I have sampled before (and didn't quite like). Lo and behold, it's Dolce Garden! I'd say if you (like me) didn't enjoy Dolce Garden, you'd probably not like this either.

AnaMaria97

I looove this.
It opens quite citrusy-fresh and floral with the jasmine, and gets warmer as time goes on, in the same way as the original- before you realise, you're surrounded by sunny creamy tropical flowers.
Definitely more gourmand than the original, but less than the intense. Not sunscreen category at all!
I don't notice the projection when I wear it but I catch whiffs of beautiful summery smells for about 4/5 hours.
I didn't like Dolce garden, Alien goddess or coco vanille (people have suggested this reminds them of) but I love this, so maybe sample first.

HellsBelle

I'm impressed!

Reading the reviews - not to mention the "reminds me of" - here, you'd quickly realise that everyone seems to interpret the scent in a Different way!

I'm having the same situation; it reminds me of Alien Essence Absolute.
Well. Not "smells like" - "reminds me of"

They share smoooothly dense, almost chewy - and incredibly HAPPY - traits. But this one is with orange and caramel. Like candy, but not sugary-cloying.

I bought it a flat second and a half after first smelling it. It's SO happy!

I become almost anosmic to it very fast though, but coworkers can smell it all day :)

PollyP123

Received a sample of this today and it reminds me SO MUCH of my favourite perfume from Next, called Pure Happiness, which I believe is now discontinued. Lovely creamy citrus and warm flowers, uplifting and soft at the same time. Really pleasantly surprised by this!
Edited to add that I’ve now got a full bottle of this and it is such a perfect summer scent. Really nice projection without being a bomb, perfectly tropical without being sunscreeny.

Jasmindee

So beautiful and creamy, wow, what a gorgeous summer scent.

I have been wearing the hell out of my little sample recently, and this really is a stunning, warm scent. Opens up with sweet citruses, tropical ylang-ylang and freshly peeled orange slices and has a thread of the original salty Olympea DNA. This becomes very smooth and feminine with the addition of vanilla toasted benzoin, giving it an almost caramel quality. I think this could be worn for any occasion, but my first thought went to a luxurious wedding hosted at a plush beach resort on a paradise island. This really is very classy and just beautiful. So warm and elegant.

My only slight critique is that it's almost identical to Mont Blanc's Signature, almost like a summer flanker. If you like that perfume, you'll love this one. Think of Solar as the younger, carefree sister. Sunkissed skin, salty hair and white beach dress, whereas Signature is the demure one in the family.

Do I need a bottle? Probably not. Am I still going to purchase this when it's officially released in the UK? Absolutely. I've been craving a soft, glamorous summer scent and this fits the bill perfectly.

KamillaNilsen

This smells so good. Like an orange-ice cream, custard, but still got that hint of the original olympea. I like this much better. I’ll be using this alot this summer.

turidoddlokken

Beautiful bottle and a beautiful scent!
Smells like orange and caramel.
A perfect blend of Good girl, Olympea blossom and Pure XS.
Very sophisticated but still summery. The perfekt perfume for a summer party - or even a summer wedding!

RitaMargarita

It kinda reminds me of Kilian Princess. Not bad!

millylou007

it’s beautiful for the summer but so outdone at this point. the amount of fragrances released in the past two years that smell exactly the same as this is crazy! for example, alien goddess, lady million fabulous, idole aura, la vie soliel cristal! still beautiful, nonetheless

VanillaBea

I completely agree with a review below, that herbal note is weird and put me off completely. This is very strong and aromatic, gave me a massive headache.

Sodastream83

There is a herbal note (I guess the oakmoss), that is ruining this fragrance for me big time. Also the citrus in this smell like toilet cleaning products unfortunately. I don't think this should have been a flanker of the Olympea line.

Driscent

Love at first sniff 😍 Fantastic combination of citrus fruit, tropical flowers, white flowers and a light vanilla which is the resin benzoin. I sensed a very discrete pineapple note on the top and heart notes which I found to be very pleasing. A beautiful flanker. I do not like the other Olympeas, just this one.

RachelLondon

Just arrived this morning. It's a yes from me. Sparkling orange wrapped in caramel. I can see myself wearing it all summer.

Perfumepusher

Just got this one.. was so excited
I’m not sure yet.. reminds me of a mix between dolce garden and PDM Oriana with citrus. Definitely solar and summery.
Will spend more time with her before I decide if she’s a keeper

Nisbaxter

Opens sweet with a hint of citrus. After som wile it gets caramely but it still holds on to som of the white flowers and some freshness. I absolutely love this, but for me is this one of the sweetest Parfums I've liked. Normally I go for fresh aquatic perfumes. But I will buy the full bottle of this as it's kind of addictive with the caramel sun notes that smells of vacation in Malaga, walking in the sun outside the nougat shops.

aldinatic

This is similar to Sun di Gioia,
I really like it
Prominent ylang ylang, solar notes and tiare
Its a creamy floral...

Marie76

Oh, wow, wow, wow. This is a better, brighter, yummier, classy Delina. Floral, sweet, citrus? Nah, just a second, this has a sharp but sweet opening, a caramel centre that somehow manages to stay elegant , a heart of white beautiful flowers and an aldehidic sparkly aura all around it. Absolutely stunning. A show stopper of a fragrance, an absolute triumph. Delicious but not childish, womanly but still young and light, this is brilliance. Stupendous sillage too. Masterpiece.

Cherry Bloom

The most beautiful citrus-caramely opening that I have ever tried. I was so happy that I found my long awaited perfect sweet/citrus summer fragrance but my happiness lasted for max 1 minute after which it turned into a caramel bomb. If that opening lasted through the middle notes i would have been the happiest.

Anyway, very dense, long lasting, great projecting fragrance. I will purchase it anyway for the caramel, gourmand quality but I'll be patient until i use more of my fragrances which never happens to me. It's good but it doesn t give me the typical unpatience to get it

kozeaa

I received a sample of this and the initial blast was a very sweet creamy powdered vanilla that want unfit for warm weather. I’d say it thrives in the warm season. It initially smells like sunscreen and powdered sugar donuts which despite the sound is actually a very charming combo. After a few hours of wear time it turns into a sophisticated floral, elegant and wearable throughout the day. My favorite olympea flanker so far, and dare I say it beats the og and could definitely stand on its own.

sugaryrose

It's not as fresh as the original Olympea - doesn't have the same marine vibe. But if you're into sugary fragrances, this one is for you. Smells like cookies with orange filling - really addictive. Super strong and longlasting.
