Well thank God it doesn’t smell like a dryer sheet on me LOL! I recently purchased this because of a YouTuber whom I truly trust. His reviews are pretty right on for me. I saw the bottle and I though ugh, it’s going to be really aquatic and that isn’t my thing for notes but I was pleasantly surprised and it turn out to be a floral especiallly the gardenia, Iris and rose listed in the notes. Wow just so pretty for late spring and early summer. It is sweet on me and really an excellent fragrance for the price! It seems like this will last a while on my skin and sillage is excellent. I keep getting whiffs of this as I move around. this would be great for the office and it also leans feminine. It’s a keeper and thank you YouTuber for recommending this. 10/10

The Scentimentalist

Smells like a classic dryer sheet or fabric softener. A deodorant bar is also a good description. Perfect as a fabric or room spray because it is clean, flesh, and persistent. Tried it on my skin and developed a skin rash so if you have sensitive skin, be aware. The bottle is interesting but the opposite of ergonomical.

Evatrice

This is great everyday fragrance. I truly appreciate every reviewer who raved and recommend this to me.no wonder this has it's cult♥️ such beautiful Gardenia scent which don't cause headache.
This remind me of Tocca Florence.
Also I get when someone says it's like Nivea scent.

Based on the comments and notes listed, I was expecting a powdery, milky fragrance, something in the line of Signature Montblanc or maybe clean and soapy like Azzaro Twin. But, that didn't happen. It's a nice scent, but all I get are the fresh notes (not aquatic, more like green), maybe something a liiitle musky, but that's pretty much it. Might easily belong in Elizabeth Arden green tea collection. It smells pretty unisex to me, even a bit generic or deodorant-like, and definitely 2000s. I was expecting a much more complex and soft scent. Oh well, it will be ok for the summer I guess.

Julia Flint

Long story short: I totally dislike it, but was so in love with the idea of all those soft notes, reviews and had enormous expectations. A very sad story!
The long story itself: I was looking for a lactonic scent, a clean and soapy scent. What I get is only a very harsh scent of bitter citruses, at the opening, after several hours, after 24hrs. It haunts me - the sillage is strong, the longevity is beyond eternal. It strongly reminds me of Blue Jeans Versace for men.
In my opinion it as an absolute no-no scent for the winter.
Where are all the lactonic / musky / iris / violet notes? Great expectations, such a disapointment.

ShadMu

it’s a nice lotion-like fragrance but I expected something more different, didn't like it that much.

Ground hound

That massive old-school musk is just suffocating all the flowers.
I can smell all the things that I like in it, the aldehydes, the gardenia, some lactonic notes, but they are so on the background behind that gigantic musk that you get tired searching for them.
Plus it has a sudden green tea note quite like in Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea, which I can't stand.
A blind buy I thought I would like. This musk just made it too old-fashioned for me.

Clare101

This wonderful gem is the perfect amalgam of scents from the late 90s and early 00s such as 212, Miracle, Noa to name but a few. This is a great thing as there is so much nostalgia for that era currently. I Would describe this scent as fresh, creamy/lotioney with the perfect hint of spice from the pepper. I wouldn't describe it as unisex personally althoughi could see why some would describe it this way. I just hope this remains in continous production forever!! I love it!

Detman101

This is the PERFECT floral scent for a hot summer day.
Cuts through the heat like an icicle!!!
Then when you get back indoors you get that creamy milky floral tone that just says...."Relax...it's all good".
I'm looooving this one during this heatwave!

A lovely older woman came into my job smelling absolutely fantastic! I asked her what she was wearing, and she could only remember ‘Oxygen.” No brand. So I did a quick search and ‘Oxygene’ was the first result! It was super cheap so I bought it for my fiance as the price made it pretty risk free. This is the one and it’s a hit with my fiancé as well! It’s definitely not a youthful scent, not sexy. But it is classy and LOVELY. Very inviting and calming and approachable, but also exudes an air of sophistication. If you can find it for under $20 (which shouldn’t be hard) give it a try if you like more mature scents. This one is a beauty.

morphoevgenia

More than anything Oxygene reminds me of Paco Rabanne`s Ultraviolet. It is strong violet in here. Smells powdery and dry, cold and indeed like a breath of fresh morning air. Very close to skin, very beautiful.

TunyaPe

To me, Oxygene is anything but milky gardenia. Milky is the last vocab that comes to mind to describe it (so I agree with @Siv7Stars).
It's not totally an unsuccessful blind buy because I'm glad to own it. However, the cult train is overhyped.

This one is quite sharp peppery, very aquatic, soapy, clean floral, powdery, and musk bomb. Not sure about gardenia. Dries down more creamy. In terms of floral notes, I get some iris petals, but I think this is all about freesia, lily of the valley, and rose water, for it resembles scents of those perfumey skincare/creams from the past days like Nivea, Avon, Dove beauty bar, etc. (that aren't too rosy like Pond's cold cream), but still, they share similar sort of sharp florals.

I like its cool old-school and pioneer persona, but this is way too perfumey (and misleading) to be associated with nature, or something dreamy and fluffy.

SaraSeven

I'm not going to lie, right when Oxygene sprays out it has an overwhelming aquatic smell to my nose which I was apprehensive about since I was hoping for something more unique. I was not disappointed! After the scent settled, it becomes this beautiful milky warm floral. Absolutely delicious on the skin - I feel like I just took a long luxurious milk and flower petal bath. This is the ultimate relaxing bed time scent! Spray this on and lounge in your coziest silk pajamas! The longevity is terrific even though it sits fairly close to the skin, so you will wake up the next day still smelling this amazing fragrance. Truly a delight to wear!

Although I will be using this primarily as a bed time fragrance, I feel it would also be great to wear on a warm day. This is not overpowering at all so it is safe to wear in pretty much any situation. A really great perfume at a bargain price.

Bangabanga

Bought three brand new bottles in a blind buy. The packaging has a kind of optimistic/futuristic “we’re entering a new century” vibe that seems rather dated and naive in 2023.

The top note is brutal and headache inducing for me, but the milky gardenia middle is wonderfully creamy — the smell reminds me of the thick formula Nivea of the late 70s, early 80s.

When I can revel in that note, Oxygene is delightful, especially on a hot day, but that top note comes back and clobbers me on the head (I can’t even tell what it is…the pepper?) and I cannot take it. Lovely, not for me.

Have two brand new, shrink-wrapped boxes if you’re looking for Oxygene Lanvin.

SalinasL

In a (probably misguided) final hurrah to blind buying (so I told myself) I finally ordered this and a few other perfumes that I’d seen recommended over and over again in the forums and that I’d had in and out of my fragnet cart for years. The milk note in Sira Des Indes resparked my interest in Oxygene and really convinced me that I needed this. Well, I don’t. I like it and it does exactly what it says on the tin, but I already have scents that do the same thing (Noa, EA Beauty, etc). I convinced myself this was more special than it is, which is a shame. I would choose this over Beauty (I prefer the milk aspect here to the rice aspect there), but Noa is a staunch favourite of mine in this lotion/face powder category so that choice is more difficult. If you don’t have any scents in this category, Oxygene is a very nice option. If you already have Noa- or Nivea-like scents, you probably don’t need this too.

Detman101

Just received my bottle of this delectable fragrance.
I can honestly say that I won't be wearing my "Montblanc - Signature" EVER as long as I have a bottle of "Oxygene" around!
It's creamy, floral, soft yet it project and the sillage on it is AMAZING!!
It does have a "Dove Soap" feel to it...but honestly, in the oppressive heat of the summer...that's what you want!
The dry down on this is a creamy, milky soft floral that reminds me of a soap I experienced during a weekend stay at the "Waldorf Astoria" for one of my aunts Beautician business conferences back when I was a kid.
This is a luxurious fragrance that carries an air of sophistication and refinement that I have only experienced in fragrances from Dior and Chanel. And this delightful experience comes at a price less than $20!!!
Unbelievable.

My wife and I both sprayed it onto our wrists when it arrived and then went out shopping. Now mind you, I'd already put on 3 sprays of "Alexandria Fragrances - Drooling in love" (Kilian - Rolling in love) before leaving the house.
The whole time we were out, I could only smell "Oxygene" and not the tuberose cloud of the other fragrance.
That tells me everything I needed to know. My son and wife have already demanded that I order them bottles so I'm headed back to Ebay to order another two right now. That gives me more bottles to sneak sprays from....mwahahaha!!

This may end up in my "Top-10 Fragrances" selection....wow.
This is amazing stuff!

White clouds, blue sky, the milky and billowy layered with peppery cool: this summarizes Lanvin Oxygene. I first learned of this through The Perfume Guy and Dana (A Nose Knows) on a video where "cheapies" were shared. I am happy to see that still (at least for now) it is a cheapie and a rather impressive one at that, smelling more expensive than its discount price tag suggests. With the prolific Alberto Morillas at the helm, Oxygene showcases his acumen for nuance and form.

Airy and piquant in its opening, a holographic gardenia fades into perception, feeling present for sure, but ever so obscured by curtains of musk and rose. The feel is more milky and powdery as time progresses, where the gardenia becomes even more dreamy and the pepper fades into a sheer sandalwood accord. Oxygene is more about staring into the sky than navel-gazing. This makes for an uncomplicated, yet satisfying wear.

MakeupNeverSleeps

It makes me think bar soap from the '80s; something similar to Irish Spring. I don't clearly perceive the milk note, which I'm happy about. I definitely get the mixture of gardenia, rose and iris with gardenia being the most dominant. I don't think I've ever smelled anything like this before. It's kind of sharp and screechy in the opening, but loses that edge as the sandalwood develops. I don't think a gardenia hater would be able to tolerate this one.

From more experience with this scent, I've learned that the mode of application with this scent really matters. Spraying it close to the skin in direct spurts results in a more screechy, overwhelming top notes and choppy development. Applied in a very fine mist, which the atomizer is capable of, creates what I assume was the designer's desired effect.

massimilianoinquieto

E' uguale a Poivre piquant di L'artisan parfumeur.
Bouque fresco e muschiato non proprio unico ma piacevole.

OceanPlusEarth

An absolutely unique and beautiful perfume. Similar scents don't come close to the stunning sweet, milk, musk, sugar scent that is Oxygene. It has a touch of florals and I mean ...a touch. This is the ultimate creamy sweet milky scent that lasts forever on skin and clothes.

Alberto Morillas is the nose behind Byzance (original, a masterpiece), Bright Pink, Belle d'Opium, Intrusion, Daisy, Miracle, Flower, Sensi and 212 to name a few.

An absolute love for me, I bought a few bottles as it was being discontinued.

zind

I think Oxygene can not be described because the reviews go in all directions. I had no idea what to expect but I like it!! It might be the most creamy and lotion-y scent I've tried. To me it smells clean, like a shower lotion. It's not fresh the way you expect a fresh perfume to be. Notes are not very undistinguished, I can hardly smell the pepper, it's just a mix of things that ends up as the "smell of oxygene". It seems to perform GREAT and I truly get why it's loved by so many. It's a very lovely scent that I could see myself wearing at any time. Sad if it really is discontinued. I don't buy back up bottles, but I will make an exception for this 🩵

Esmeralda76

This perfume opens with a nice peppery freshness and then evolves into some airy floral notes (but I can't smell the rose).
After a while, appears a slightly soapy tone, maybe because of the white musc.
Apparently, there is also some Water Hyssop in the middle notes (not listed here) that could give an aromatic touch.
The peppery tone remains in the dry down and makes this fragrance rather unisex to me (although there is a man version of this perfume).
It's a clean and pure freshness, very nice to wear during hot weather.
To me, it's a perfect jeans & white T-shirt scent.
I can't smell any sandalwood nor lactonic notes, which is a little sad as I would have appreciated a lactonic twist (would find it very interesting).
Anyway, it's a very pleasant ozonic floral fragrance that is surprisingly long lasting, especially on clothes.

pipergirl

Fresh, airy Nivea cream type of scent that smells gentle, nice, yet, noticeable. To me, Oxygene is a very likable and warm weather easy reach. Nothing challenging at all about it. Oh, and it lasts!

scatteredshowers

I really wanted to like this. Unfortunately, the impression I get is yogurt. Sharp, tangy, a bit sour; definitely milky, maybe a little floral, but mostly yogurt. It's not exactly offensive but it's not a scent I enjoy wearing. That first spray is when it's at its most unpleasant. The white pepper comes through strongly, and then you're faced with a bowl of sweetish Greek yogurt with cracked peppercorns over the top. The powder note is nonexistent. Ugh. I do like the dry down, however. About four or five hours after I spray it, Oxygene becomes a little warmer, muskier, and sweeter. It loses that tang and gains a slightly floral tone. Overall though it's really disappointing, the notes list looked so promising and has so many elements that I love; iris, rose, gardenia in particular - and it's barely floral at all! The only thing that stops it from being a "hate" is that dry down at the end. What a mean trick of skin chemistry.

SailorRoss

The opening is refreshing, like when you open a door to the outside and a cool breeze of clean air hits your face. It quickly dries down to a lotion or powder scent, but not too floral. This is what I expected Noa Cacharel to be, but instead Noa was a sharp floral that immediately gave me a headache. When I first sampled Oxygene, I applied it to one arm and the other fragrance I just received (Velvet) to the other. I think the smooth, slightly sweet berry scent of Velvet on one arm, accentuated the crisp freshness of Oxygene on the other. I kept sniffing Oxygene, almost anticipating that it would open my sinuses. When I tried it a second time on its own, I realized that the powder is too much for me, but I can see why a lot of people like it. Overall, I think it's a great fragrance, I just need to avoid strong powdery scents because they quickly become annoying.

AdalynEverly

First Impressions (full bottle):
This reminds me of something similar in my “I had” collection, but I’m not sure. I think it smells similar to 212 by Carolina Herrera but less dry? Only it doesn’t have that cloying Lilly of the valley or cactus note? Possibly? I’ll investigate more. Did I get a fake from amazon?? It did have the plastic wrap on as well though. Hmm… smells nothing like I would’ve imagined.
Edit: okay this is definitely an aquatic even tho the notes are not aquatic in any way. When I get from this is a 90’s heavy musk in the beginning and in the middle of the perfume. I’m definitely getting a piercing gardenia from this with a lot of pepper especially in the beginning. I guess that’s how they came up with it smelling like Oxygene. In the dry down I get fabric softener/ dryer sheet from the rose and the Iris. It almost become herbal in a way. I think this is a strong like. For some reason it reminds me of some perfume my mother used to wear possibly? Does definitely smell like the 2000’s.
Final thoughts:
You know what this reminds me of. It kind of reminds me of smelling a babies head. I know that sounds weird, but that’s what it smells like to me. It’s an alright smell but for me, I really don’t like kids nor want them. So I’m gonna give this a meh. I see the appeal for this since it’s a creamy clean aquatic unisex fragrance. But for me I don’t want to smell like a babies head, the 2000’s, or purely unisex. It doesn’t have a charisma to it that I like, it’s too safe for my personal taste. Let’s not talk about how the atomizer is not it either.

Verdict:
Pass- A babies head mixed with early 2000’s.

Himawarinonioi

On paper: crisp bergamot, very sharp and piercing
On my skin: baby. Like a baby bathed in sugared milk with the tiniest hint of the sandalwood but rather with a very green fresh underlayer.
I get none of the flowers, maybe a molecule of gardenia.

But this is fantastic and soft

The bottle is awkward to hold, sharp edges. The bottom half with the frosted glass is pretty but the cheap plastic top with the loose button is not it.

Edit: been wearing this for a few days, and I noticed when I inhaled and breathed out slowly this left my nose with a very distinct bubble bath scent, which I'm not mad about.

Printeza7

Nice, musky, powdery clean smell! Don't detect the milk, very much but I guess the milk adds some creaminess to the fragrance.I like it, reminds me of Femina by Alberta Ferretti but not as strong. Good fragrance, it's 7.5 out of 10 for me :-)

EMIV

Just recieved this, finally pulled the trigger after years of doubting this blind buy considering how people either love it or hate it, seeing how some people say its been discontinued I just had to try before I couldn't.

Definitely in the camp of loving this. It does smell like soap, or lotion. Very creamy. Reminds me of a cross between nivea soft lotion and noa. Maybe a bit of dove soap as well? It's amazing.
This will definitely be a safe daily wear. Now I'm just worried about it being discontinued. Must not hoard scents fearing they will run out, or not use it bc of that.

daisybrown

eggnog, lofi, cloudy day, nice office, "life is so beautiful" by sofasound, lots of babies

Dazed_and_confused

I have owned probably 3 bottles of this and it's kind of unusual for me because I like to experiment and switch up perfumes. This was a blind buy for me and actually it has a funny story. When I was a child, my brother brought this perfume to my mother from the US as a gift and I remember loving it. Years passed, everybody forgot about this perfume, the name, the brand, but it still lingered in my brain. One day I was shopping at the store for a new perfume, and saw the box of Oxygene. There was no tester or anything, but I decided to pick it up anyway. Lo and behold it was this perfume from my childhood! But apart from nostalgia, this is a beautiful scent, especially on the drydown. The milk and pepper is very pronounced, the longevity is also very good. I have been complimented wearing this. Very nice perfume and I think you can wear it at any time, because it's quite versatile.

Deianera

I smell synthetic aquatic & ozonic on me. Seabreeze/ocean, fresh laundry, baby powder and some iris. It has a horrible synthetic dry down & this is definitely not for me, I unfortunately get nauseous after a while wearing this.

Vellocet

This is such a unisex fragrance! I really wonder what the male version smells like, they have to be very similar. On me it’s a fresh, ozonic, musky scent. If I really imagine a lactonic note it’s there, faint. But if I didn’t know I would probably never detected it. I wish the longevity was better. I have to respray every two hours or so. The bottle is interesting but a bit clumsy. But overall I like it! Nowadays it’s really affordable

Kittycat63

Hmm, I see that 'lactonic' seems to be the word of the moment on this thread! Almost every review recently posted for Oxygene seems to contain that word! Why not just say milky or creamy, or are those words deemed to be too commonplace and boring?! Anyhoo, this is a current review for Oxygene after my one from ages ago which may be lost in the mix now! I discovered Oxygene as an online blind buy a few years ago and it is easily one of my most successful blind buy purchases, and I made many of those and some were horrendous and stinky, despite some very positive reviews for them on here! Thank god Oxygene lived up to expectations and it's now a regular in my perfume collection and one I would hate to be without so I hope it's never discontinued! It's a great everyday, wear anywhere kind of perfume that's highly unlikely to annoy anyone who comes within sniffing range of it. It's clean but with personality and some uniqueness - one of my favourite types of perfume. At first spritz (and I usually only wear 1-2 spritzes of perfume as I like a light touch and don't want to reek of any perfume!) it's a bit peppery and flowery, which may sound weird but it's fine! Then, after half an hour or so on me that's when my favourite bit emerges and it becomes creamy and softer, very shower fresh and clean, lotion'y smelling. That lasts for hours and hours on me with no need to top-up, and the scent lasts even longer on my clothes so I can still smell it easily after 24+ hours. Some people seem to class Oxygene as an aquatic perfume, presumably because of the colour of the scent, but to me it absolutely isn't. It's just nice and creamy and clean smelling. To me, many aquatics come off as being a bit cold and lacking in personality, and Oxygene is the opposite. Also, as others have mentioned, the bottle is very nice. It's un-fussy, almost unisex, and ergonomic (if that can be said for a perfume bottle!), fitting neatly in the hand, and there's no lid to have to flaff around with! The price of Oxygene is also very reasonable for such a good quality perfume and no doubt it could easily cost 2-3 times, or more, the price if it was from a pricier perfume house such as Dior. So, all-in-all I highly recommend Oxygene for anyone seeking a creamy clean smelling, unique, wear anywhere, reasonably priced, nicely bottled perfume. It's a definite 10 out of 10!

Vesperexa

I don't know in what universe this is a lactonic scent. It's spicy, fresh, clean and floral, but the milk accord is so minor and so faint, does it even exist? I don't know. It's really only milky in a lotiony kind of way, maybe, with some imagination. I feel like I've fallen for false advertising.
To me this is a fresh linen scent. It could be great for occasions where you just want to feel clean and fresh, if that's your thing.
The bottle is beautiful, and it's so cheap it's almost worth it just for that. However, the atomizer doesn't work great and it just kind of squirts it on you like a water gun.

mika71

This started out quite sharp, but then settled into a soft clean musk that suggests "hey, I'm shower fresh!" That phase was very nice but fleeting, and the scent disappeared altogether about 15 min later. There were no laconic notes on me sadly. Such a bummer.

meliecat

I love the bottle - he color of the juice and the fact there's no cap. The scent itself is a bit of a disappointment although I had high expectations. I can barely smell it on me?!?!

Initially it's strong, peppery, it turns aqua, then violet-powder, then lactonic and the drydown is slightly bitter. There's a note a bit "off" but it fades quickly and it becomes a pleasant, refreshing number. But has no staying power, no sillage, no projection.. Like a splash.
In a way it's reminiscent of Avon's Perceive, but with added powder.

NoorbBelgium

I felt a strong sandalwood smell that was blended with pepper and delicate florals. The scent of Oxygene, which is so incredibly wonderful that it almost feels like a whiff of fresh air, is one of the greatest options for summer. I was astonished by how strongly woody the aquatic aroma smelled on my nose. My top pick for the season. Silage and durability are excellent. It's powdery, delicate, and all-natural, and it covers you like a tiny cloud. It has an urban-fresh feel, This perfume is excellent if you enjoy powdery, creamy, and not overly sweet scents. The perfume is unusual and intriguing, and the bottle is lovely and contemporary/minimal. Love it!

Ferra_Verto

An airy & dry take on a spicy lactonic scent. The milk, gardenia, and white pepper notes are the strongest at the offset, and surprisingly lingers as it pares down to its musky sandalwood base.
Perfect all year round, but truly shines in warmer weather.
Good sillage, no more than arms length even if you overspray. Lasts for 6-8 hrs, lingers beautifully on the skin.
Definitely recommend.

Mooniq

Som years ago I got tired of Oxygene, but today I bought a bottle on sale. A nice summerscent I think. On my skin after 15 minutes I smell milk, pepper, gardenia & musk. Not loud, not A skinscent neither. Soft and longlived.

Search and Discover

A tale of two scents! I first sprayed this on my neckline to test and hated it ... it was sharply synthetic and I decided the bottle would go straight to the bathroom as a room spray. Luckily, I didn't get around to doing that.

On skin, it dries down eventually to a calming powdery iris and gardenia. It's very faint on skin, but lovely. I didn't realize it until I saw the "reminds me of" tag on this page, but it is very much a softer/"blue-er" Halo from circa 2002.

That said, I would advise against spraying directly on clothing to avoid the initial synthetic smell, and give yourself some time before leaving the house so that you can get the dry down on skin. Low sillage, but it's also heavily discounted, so it might be worth it to you.

totalfunk

This is to me like you washed sheets and they are hanging outside with the breeze blowing them on a sunny day by a lakeside garden. The scent of the fabric softener wafts in the breeze and mixes with the surrounding blooms.
It’s clean and fresh but floral, not aquatic.
It’s gorgeously intriguing. I would not call it lactonic but there is a perfumed lotion creaminess. It’s also bright and without the milk would be a bit sharp for my taste. It is not the longest lasting but I just overspray.
It’s an Alberto Morillas, so why did I wait so long to try it?? 💙

lesritesdelavie

First reaction: This is a f'n gem! Super well blended slightly powdery slightly woody fresh floral. Creamy fresh leaning gardenia. Though the scent reminds me a tiny bit of Carolina Herrera 212, it doest have the stuffy office vibe. The surprising combo of powdery florals and freshness is comparable with Tiffany&Co Sheer or even some fragrances from Chloe-house.
It does have a slight 2000s feel but it is for sure not dated or old.
The price point for this masterpiece is lovely. Also - nobody you know will probably have it or even know about it - very unique scent!

I'll edit after I have worn it for few days.

dsmercoco

This has a creamy fresh quality about it. I get lots of iris and pepper that gives a soft spicey quality that supports the white flowers that give this scent an airy feel. It's a clean fresh scent without smelling of soap or laundry detergent. I can also smell the musk and sandalwood in the base, very good. It's quite enjoyable for being reasonably priced. Sillage is moderate after the first hour and longevity is fairly good too, about 6-7 hours. Great fragrance for warm weather.

theuntrainednose

I have a sample, thanks Scarbo!

--

I agree this smell reminds me of the late 1990s, early 2000s. Fresh aquatic powdery gardenia. Warm and almost heady but fresh and aquatic. A bit paradoxical. I enjoy it, even though I do not get the milk note. I do get the creamy vague sandalwood note (not too woody, more of a creaminess).

You have to like gardenia to like this one! The gardenia is very noticeable and one of the most prominent notes throughout. I happen to love gardenia, so this is a good one for me.

Currently in the middle of like and love. To be retested!

Appletreebeach

This isnt a bad or good fragrance. It reminds me of when you spray and airfreshner while its empty. It's very much ozonic and soft. I guess it would be an okay room spray.

Eribert

This looks and feels very much “Millennium”, meaning the timeframe between the years 1999/2000.

The packaging and bottle come in that light-blue and white color combination that was EVERYWHERE at that time. The shape of the flanker is futuristic. And then there is that light unisex feeling that this fragrance emanates that also suits this era perfectly.

As for the fragrance itself, the composition starts off with a soft, but present pepper note that, to my nose, is far from being unpleasantly pungent. It is enveloped by a tender gardenia, which I cannot very much read as a floral in this context. Rather than that, it translates as an impression: Soft, barely there powder and a strong fabric softener-style freshness, but without being your typical freshie.

After the initial stage fades away, the highlight of this fragrance awaits you in the shape of very well-done, realistic milk note. Cold milk, like the first sip you take from a glass. Yes. This is satisfying.
This milk note stays unchangedly close to your skin for a good six hours, after which it softly fades into nothingness.

As for the final verdict, I think that while Oxygene might not be a show stopper, it is not boring either. It is an ageless scent that still evokes in me memories of a certain, short-lived era a good 20 years ago. Would I repurchase, which I‘m not sure that I will, I would do so for that exceptionally well-done milk note.

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a slightly different kind of nostalgia and/or to anyone who is looking for an office fragrance with just that subtle special something.

TL;DR: A glass of cold milk in 1999.

Skinscents4Fusspots

Hands down the cleanest creamy fragrance I’ve ever sniffed! Creamy but super clean and fresh. This seems very unisex to me as there’s nothing that veers in either direction, it’s fresh out of the shower clean skin smell. Mind you it’s also strong and I can really smell it in the room. Can’t wait to wear this and will come back with a wear test review!

I persuaded my Fiancé to test this with me too because it's pretty unisex. On him the top notes hung around in the dry down but on me this was sweet and powdery in a slight baby powder way. Lactonic on both and absolutely amazing on us both. We will share this one! One of the most stand alone creations in my collection, really fascinating and addictive!

Nov 2022 - This is just such a stunner. It's super comforting and although it is a very unique scent that's hard to compare to others, I think if you like Cerutti 1881 and Cacherel Noa, maybe even Burberry Brit Rhythm, then this would probably float your boat. It's got a bar soapy / body cream sort of musk that the milk note really rounds out. The sandalwood is powdery and not at all sharp or overtly woody. It's also very sweet but not in a vanilla way - I feel the notes should include sugar! There is something slightly violet-like and on me but it's just generally a touch floral and the pepper just gives a slight spicy warmth. It's less peppery on me than (for instance) Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina, which I couldn't stand the pepper in! I've smelt a fresh bottle of Oxygene as well as an old one that had clearly gone bad and the bad bottle was hyper peppery, so this is one that's best not to get second hand! This is a powerhouse on me and last for hours. I think there is quite a big scent bubble with this considering it's a fresh and clean sorta scent. I'm very aware I'm wearing Oxygene and I adore it! Hubby isn't even getting a look-in 'cause this one is MINE! Haha!

I don't understand how some folks find this fleeting and so light they cannot smell it! It is one of the most suffocating perfumes I have ever tried. One spray is quite enough to last all day on me. Imagine shoving your face in hot white towels, straight from the dryer (with dryer sheets) and leaving it there until you kind of need air. It's clean, but fusty and hot, like a Lenor scented steam room. That is Oxygene, and that's exactly what you and everyone around you will need more of if you spray this on with a heavy hand! Cheap enough for a blind buy though.

The dry down is quite pleasant though, and it blooms in the sun :)

seven-hued flower

One of the few straight-up dislikes I've ever encountered in this vast world of perfume.

This was a blind buy for me, because I'd found the notes interesting. I tried it on at the height of summer and felt that I was scouring my nostrils with some type of harsh detergent.

I passed it on after a couple of half-hearted attempts to make it work. Hopefully it found a more adequate home.

catherinecarville.1

Just bought this as a blind buy in TK Maxx. I can't decide if I actually like it or not, but can't stop sniffing it! At times it reminds me of Burberry Body Female - I think due to the milky/creamy note.

NadezhdaPetkova

I like this perfume, it is similar to Мiracle by Lancome, 2000.

BethyBee

I blind bought this after seeing it mentioned as a well priced classy fragrance. I really love it. Fresh, lightly floral with a musk woody dry down. Very feminine and wearable, this is perfect if you're not a fan of heavy floral fragrances.

moonsunstars

This is a stunning fragrance that truly exceeded my expectations. First spray, I get a blast of Pepper and Milk - It's quite different, and transforms to the most beautiful scent as it sits on your skin. I pick up the Gardenia, giving the milk a slight creamy/powdery touch to the fragrance. The musk is quite present on my skin as well. I really love how spicy and fresh this is, and I can't wait to wear this more. I am so glad Oxygene is now in my collection.

dogmeat

Oxygene smells like heaven...Picture it, I'm relaxing on a soft, fluffy cloud and cute little cherubs come by and give me a plush cashmere blanket to wrap myself in and a glass of cool, creamy milk to sip on. That is what this smells like. It is rich and luscious, but at the same time fresh. There is something so clean and comforting about this. This wears really nice. I love getting wafts of this throughout the day. This is very pretty and pretty unique. I love it.

monkmonks

On paper this is exactly what I wanted Noa to be.
Peppery and creamy—turning into a sweet and spicy perfection. But on my skin it turns into what I call “perfume swamp water” (imagine taking all of your perfume collection and mixing them all together). My skin has never agreed with gardenia, and mixed with musk I guess not a good combo. As disappointed as I am, I will definitely give it another try in different weather (currently dry and cold).

TwoPetals

This is ultra feminine. Men will follow.

lanaconstantinova

I wanted it since it came out. Thanks to online store I finally got it. Not disappointed, but you spray just one little tiny one as in the end at the base it smells like those expensive soaps quite fresh and has like a strong shot of espresso on me. I love it just the base one is too overpowering for me. You can wear it in any climate or time of the year, day or night as it's very much like air. I usually spray all my perfumes in the air and walk through it, but with this one I need it the settle a bit as those aldehytes are so strong like in Chanel N5. It's an expensive smell for under 40 nz dollars... Just need to be played with and adjusted to your taste.

jonbecca

I like the smell ok. It's good for after a shower in pjs- clean soft and cozy but the bottle is just such an eye sore. Trying to use up and won't buy again but nice casual scent.

jeannebelmondo

I've finally encountered another post-90s-put-sandalwood-in-literally-everything classic, Oxygene. You've been on my radar for years, you sounded so intriguing through the filter of the internet, coming off as agreeable but considered so polarizing. Would I like you? Would you be the innocent, casual twist on a warm, spicy fragrance that I've thrown so much time into finding?

The answer is kind of yes and mostly no. You do your own thing, reaching in so many different directions, unwilling to fully satisfy me and everyone else. I don't know if most would find you to be their perfect vision, but I'm sure I could find a lot of people who like some aspects of yours, and is still not left fully satisfied.

Putting my nose to the bottle I get laundry detergent and a faint bubblegum smell, which really confused me given the note pyramid. There's a slight sweetness to it that translates as bubblegum-like to my nose. And just like tutti frutti bubblegum itself, it's this powdery simulacrum of fruit that doesn't quite smell like any particular fruit but would simply be identified as "fruit-flavored". Not into it, I don't want to smell like either of the two.

After a few more minutes I'm more interested. The pepper comes into play more and adds depth to the rose. I realize what it reminds me of -- Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Etat Libre D'Orange Putain Des Palaces! Both distinctly feature a pampered, vintage-cosmetics rose with a dry bitterness. In Anglomania and Putain Des Palaces, it's violet, rose and leather, here it is gardenia, rose and pepper. I like the other two more, they are more decisively buxom and raunchy. Oxygene is just fine hiding behind its screen of pleasant soap and polite white florals.

Maybe they will fade away to a woodsy drydown, I think. But they don't, this whole screen and what hides beneath it just gradually fades away as one unit, not quite satisfying, like a dream you dearly want to remember, but is fading from you in real time as you gain consciousness... none of the details clear enough to grab onto any image. Its message too, is difficult to translate, distinct but directionless.

Maybe it's me who doesn't know what she wants. But I don't need to advertise it through perfume.

imoore

I adore some other Morillas creations like Flower by Kenzo L'Elixir Kenzo, but I have to say this one smells like dishwasher detergent to my nose.
The citrus clean fabric softner Versace perfumes had to come from somwhere I guess.
Not a safe blind buy and very much unisex!

Siv7Stars

I got a sealed one. The liquid is still bluish, it hasn't gone green like some do. I don't know, is this one of those 'too old to accurately review' or bother with now? I got an enormous blast of pepper, like this is THE most peppery thing I've ever smelled that wasn't actually just some condiment out of the kitchen cupboard, then a vaguely floral scent, nothing milky to speak of, some musk.. I waited.. it just disappeared. I should've got it at the time. I shall stop seeking out these old things.. certainly things more than ten years old. I know some perfumes can stand being vintage but they usually really really old things.. Perfume is like shoes in terms of antiques. I have 1920s shoes that are basically fine. But I've had many many pairs of sandals from the late 90s/early 2000s, always with a certain kind of bouncy composite sole (mainly wedges) that just degrade n turn sticky n then into the consistency of sponge cake so they crumble away when walked in. :(
This smells nothing like Diesel Plus Plus Feminine btw. But then that doesn't really smell like it did when it first came out either. I had it new at the time, it did not have it's current latexy vibe :/

Joani_Cheddar

I like it - not your average freshie. This is a 2 in1 type beauty product - milk shampoo with sandalwood conditioner. I'm generally not a fan for shampoo scents but the creaminess in the fragrance adds a different level. It is unique to say the least - I can not wait to smell this in the heat.

subbasyd

So I’ve been on the hunt for creamy milky perfumes, saw some people recommended this one online and so I bought a mini to try it and NO. It smells like soap and my coworker said it smells like fireball.... ew. It doesn’t last at all it’s gone by the next hour, and it doesn’t dry down to a milky scent on me so idk might just be my skin but I’m not a fan, good thing I just bought a mini!

faeriefractal

I ordered this on Ebay, and anxiously awaited its arrival. Something about that bottle... I’ll say—and perhaps my nose is just too novice— it wasn’t as “unusual” as reviewers past have said. Again, I haven’t had the chance to sniff many “usual” fragrances, so who am I to say. The pepper top note is my favorite facet of Oxygene’s pyramid. It’s certainly a cool, fresh gardenia scent with a touch of sweetness— not overly floral, gourmand, or aquatic. “Fresh spicy” perfectly describes Oxygene. However, the longevity is so weak and it becomes a skin scent quickly. Might gift to someone who doesn't want their smell to intrude a room; Oxygene is perfectly inoffensive in notes and projection.

edit 2/19/21: i shouldve sat with this scent more. I spritz it on myself just for lounging because it is so soft, and wow. I’m falling in love with it. DEFINITELY for warm weather— it lasts much longer on me since it heated up around here. It’s refreshing, cuddly, and indescribable. It smells like Oxygene, what else can I say?

Anamandy

This is such an unusual fragrance. So different from citrus fragrances intended for warm weather wear. I purchased this in the summer but love wearing it in cooler weather too. Light, but at the same time rich. Creamy flowers, with gardenia the most prominent, seem to float above the musky sandalwood base. I'm not a fan of gardenia, often finding it too heavy, but here it is light and delicate. If any fragrance can make me appreciate that note, this is it. I'm not having issues with longevity or silage as others seem to be. A few sprays lasts several hours with soft silage. Best yet, this is a great bang for the buck that smells much more expensive than it is. I'm so happy with this pretty scent. I really, really love it!

cresol

I had to come back and edit my review after spending some time with this fragrance over the last week. It has proved to be incredibly elusive in the fact that the extreme non linearity of the fragrance makes the notes very hard to pin. Sometimes it's a tender powdery fragrance and other times it's a cheap musky disaster.

MyMother'sNo5

I stumbled across this fragrance during my search for lactonic notes, and after finding it to be comparatively cheap, I decided to give it a try.

There is not much greater detail I can add that the rest of the reviewers have not already mentioned - this is indeed a cool refreshing fragrance for the first while, which somehow manages to counterbalance with a soft ambience. Somehow warm, and yet cooling. Soft aquatic? This is soon replaced by an overall milkiness and sandalwood, the interaction of which makes this originally spicy scent, now creamy. There is quite a non-linearity in its performance in my opinion, and I appreciate fragrances that present a story.

Interestingly, I also read this is a recommended 'gym fragrance' so I decided to test it out. Honestly, as I run outside, at least on my skin in high sun and heat, this did not hold well with my body chemistry and perspiration, I found the milkiness to be quite unwelcome in this instance. It turned into more of an old, softened bar of soap you left on the side of the sink for too long, and at times, Oxygene projected as an off-milk scent. It did not help that the sillage is quite powerful as well.. Hence why it makes sense why predominantly linear citrusy-wood fragrances are generally better off being worn during exercise in my opinion. We live and we learn.

Nonetheless, I do appreciate this fragrance, it is surely a staple for many and I empathise with this. A mindless pick of the day, although perhaps better suited for spring. Regarding the classification of this being a women's perfume, I would not quite agree. I have watched a male YouTuber mention that he prefers the female version as it has greater depth and dimension than the male version, and I would say, true, this is not particularly feminine nor is it aquatic/spicy masculine. Honestly unisex leaning-fem.

LadyPilot

At first it's completely beautiful - citrussy, peppery, soapy - cool and gorgeous! But soon a warm gourmand note appears (milk probably) and after a short while the scent just goes away without a trace😢 So for this price and with this advertisement it's not quite what I'd expected:( Musk and milk blow it all, not to mention the poor silage and longevity. Make a flanker that will be without musk, milk but instead more long-lasting, more soapy, fresh, citrussy and airy and I'll use it forever!😉

yurkin

The intense peppery opening makes me sneeze :)
Thankfully the milk note follows soon after.. It's milky but like body milk or body lotion way
Spraying again I smell the zesty bergamot in the opening for a fleeting moment

Not bad, it's somewhat like what I expected to be from the notes. Fresh peppery, minty, flowery.
I can't speak for longevity atm, I'll update after testing it further

November 2020 update yes longevity is bad but the scent is lovable

Mystères du Château de Dé

If it were Pre-WWII and you were a guest at a vast estate on Long Island, and it was early summer and the irises were in bloom or late summer for the gardenias, Oxygène would capture the mood of a calm day in a very large and complete garden, by the sea. As it's a French fragrance, the mise en scène might as well be a luxe station balnéaire.

Oxygène IS abstractly aquatic, not in the notes we typically associate but there is a breeze coming through. It's ozonic though, not "oxygenated". One could not in 2000 name a perfume Ozone?

Oxygène is neither clean and fresh, nor dirty. The musk grounds the florals to the human. It's gorgeously pleasant, innocently fleshy - like a Seven Sisters or Ivy League youth home for the summer and ever so slightly sweating in pressed linen. Brass tacks: flowers and humans emanate odor to attract and reproduce! Here the business is being done with some chic.

Art Deco is iconic to the Lavin style. Lanvin had shops in Deauville and Biarritz at the height of the Jazz Age and Morillas successfully nailed the summery elegance. Not to say Oxygène is anything like century old perfumery. Remember, young people are modern in their time.

OolongLaLa

This is a musk that works in high heat. I wore Alaia Nude the day before and I loved it months ago in slightly cooler weather, but it felt diminished by the high dew point and heat. The first time I tried Oxygene it was much cooler and I turned my nose up at it. Now, Oxygene is right on point. It hasn't turned sharp and the sillage isn't overwhelming.

I don't see this as a floral. The only flower I can pick out is powdery iris at the back end of the musk. The white pepper is there at the beginning and in the middle of the fragrance. I love the smell of ground white pepper, but it's not realistically represented here. The pepper note is too harsh and dusty. Fortunately, the white pepper note settles down nicely into the cozy musk as it dries down. It becomes a bit smoky and warm. The ultimate dry down is musk and soft iris.

I'm a musk lover, but I usually find white musk bizarre. I like this, but not enough to buy it. Maybe if I got the minty hyssop note it would be enough to sway me.

Finally. Some 20 years later I finally put my hands in this gem of a fragrance.
Back in the year of its launch I tried it at an airport but was a student and could not afford it, but its smell lingered in my memory ever since.
So first I have to say that this bottle is something very unique. I believe that at the time they wanted to project a futuristic kind of scent, and I believe they managed to do it both in the bottle as in the juice. Because even now I feel something avant gard about this, and the bottle is intriguing, it's an object just worth looking, for its own sake. The color matches both the name and the scent.
i would say this is more of a day fragrance, but I will definitely use it on hot summer nights too.
Beautiful.

Jacquis

A milky fresh floral. That's what comes to mind. Very soothing and refreshing. An everyday easy wear. Spa scent just like the bottle suggests. Any age appropriate and suitable for any season but I'll reserve it for my summer collection.

Loredana0108

I'm not a fan of fresh fragrances, although I do wear them when it's too hot outside. Still, there are some exeptions to the rule and, sometimes , I fall in love with some freshies so deeply I can't wear anything else for weeks. Oxygene is the perfect example of love at first sniff. Flowers, a hint of milk, without being buttery and a handful of pepper, without becoming too spicy. A warm aquatic , I'd say. Reminds me of Poivre Piquant by L'artisan Parfumeur , but smoother and warmer . A truly unique scent at a reasonable price. Longevity is above average, more than 4-5 hours on skin.

AaronStar

A milky sandalwood scent, gardenia sprinkled with fresh bergamot, peppery musk blends it all together, lovely.

jule9

This is such a gem of a fragrance. There is something both incredibly naive and ancient about it at the same time. It opens with these capricious irises and dries down to a cloud of powder surrounding you. If only it could last longer. Skin projection. Very affordable. My nose gets used to it quickly so I alternate scents.

zorba_colin69

I really do like this frag... I am a guy and this is a fantastic fresh scent, great for the spring/summer for sure... smells like a nice clean laundry smell. It has a decent longevity but I wish it lasted longer. Worthwhile.

chrystelsinclair

My husband has the Oxygene pour Homme and I thought I would get myself the feminine one.

This is a splash of fresh air, definitely, but nothing extraordinary. It's fresh and elegant with bergamot and iris scent. I mean, you can't go wrong with that! At times you call smell the sandalwood which I absolutely love but overall I think there is better out there.

This is a long-lasting perfume that, and it might sound contradictory, is unique among other perfumes. Let me explain. I work with a lot of women. My workplace smells of different flowers and bubble gum. Oxygene removes all of those scents and imposes itself with its wonderful sillage. It doesn't mix with the other perfumes, instead it ... clears out the air. Seriously.

I enjoy it very much especially at work during the hotter days but it's definitely not my to-go scent for summer. I also believe that it's feminine and unisex at the same time.

bel.gravia

Lanvin Oxygene. A supposedly light and airy fragrance, intended to smell like a burst of fresh air. Wrong! The bottle and cold blue color do not represent the scent at all! On me it's musky peppery floral rather than aquatic, a very familiar scent, feminine and fresh. The combo of notes is outstanding- pepper and milk, musk and iris, rose and bergamont- it's all there, all very easy to detect. The notes are really well blended, I am suprised to learn that it has the traditional notes pyramid, because as I said, it doesn't feel layered, it's like you spray it, you get about 7-10 notes and they all linger around, none of them is dominant. It smells like white bed sheets, that have been washed witha fresh floral detergent, plus some pepper. A weird describtion I know, but it's all I can think of- freshly washed bedsheets. In a good way.

Adjames

I should have known this is another Morillas beauty- love his creations. I won’t go into the notes, but the feeling is cool, yet warm refreshing pepper and florals over smooth sandalwood. More creamy and peppery right now in the colder weather. More floral and milky in the warmer months. Very fresh and lasts quite a while on me. Elegant.

lrnonken

To me it smells similar to Tommy Girl, especially once it dries down. It's pleasant and fresh and "modern" smelling but not very unique to my nose.

evapap181977

outstanding!!elegant similar to ZV This is her but this is more creamy.recently discovered and i think its a new love .projects light but stays for many hours on the skin.the price is a joke..a good one!

AaronStar

Used it again, rediscovered it, now its milky, gardenia with pepper, I love it, the musky freshness makes it all so pleasant. At first, I did not understand it, but now it just blooms into a lovely, milky gardenia scent with pepper and musk. with underlying Rosey, sweetness. Thus it satisfied what I sought, a gardenia scent, the added milk note makes it special, the musk sexy and the pepper too. I like gardenia scents and this is one of them on my list and collection now. The downside is it's not very durable and has a weak projection, I have to respray several times, it is sad because it is supposed to be an eu de parfum and not a toilette. A lovely milky, peppery, gardenia musk scent that is truly special. The oxygene meaning I think is like a metaphor for how one breathes such a delightful scent, inhaling such a fragrant note that is the scent of gardenia.
Oxygene as in inhaling, testing, fragrant, breathing the lovely scent, it is not aquatic but a floral, spicy, musk perfume. By the way the sandalwood is also standing out too, also adding to the milky effect, a pleasant spicy, woody, musky, milky white floral, with powdery iris and sweet rose.
Milky Gardenia, with musk and pepper, truly heavenly for me!

ClevelandLove

The snow white bottle, the glacier blue perfume- and the scent inside is equally cold, indeed. Of course, this theme is continued with the ad featuring the starkly romantic landscapes of southern Iceland. And it lives up to its message. One whiff and you are refreshed with a clean, white, icy fragrance. There's a little gardenia green and juicy bergamot, too. Unfortunately, the pepper doesn't make much of an appearance on me, but it's there peeking it's head around the corner every once in awhile. Until the dry down, that is, which as previously reported in these reviews, is a cool, milky sandalwood. It is perfectly safe, wonderfully refreshing and entirely appropriate for daily use. To boot, the price is right, too.

johnsmithaffairs

A mixup of notes, that are somewhat confusing but end up becoming pleasant somehow. One can smell all the notes within, sandalwood, peppers, bergamot, milk, and the floral notes, rose, iris and gardenia, you can pick them all out well. I believe this is indeed a floral perfume, a bouquet of flowers with an interesting base of musks and cream. At a distance, I mainly smell fresh bergamot, milky sandalwood and pepper. So it can be this or that, it has duality, floral, musky. It is the high pitched bergamot note that provides freshness and a feeling of aquatics. A strange but interesting floral perfume with a unique creamy milk note.

AaronStar

This perfume reminds me of Unzipped by Perfumer's workshop, it is a scent with a similar composition, floral, with some musk. Unzipped has roses, jasmine, magnolia with cocoa, chocolate. This scent is floral, with gardenia, roses and iris. I can feel it to be well blended, it is indeed creamy, milky, it does have the effect, the gardenia is a rather mushroom one, a rather ripe one, the iris is so present providing powdery floral support, the musk and pepper is there supporting the flowers.

First I smell the ripe gardenia, and now after drying it is rosy, the rose is somehow standing out. It's blended but I can tell the notes apart by smelling it, the pepper is spicy- pleasant and not offensive, the musk is good. Overall good, pleasant, floral, I bought it for the gardenia, its there but does not take center stage but is in a bouquet with rose and the flowers are in woody, musky, semi-spicy vase, if you can visualize it. I seek gardenia, it is there again, ripe, mushroom-like and good, but again it veers to towards a mix with the powdery iris and rose, just like Unzipped which also has rose, iris and magnolia instead of gardenia.

These are my initial impressions and have yet to keep sensing and smelling it, overall its good and pleasant, rosy, floral, musky. The rose is very present, as is the iris, all floral notes are present and put together, in a milky, creamy fluid of a scent, sprinkled with spicy pepper, and set in musk and wooden cup. I guess what captures me is the unique milk note, the musk and the gardenia combination, so little perfumes have the milk note, its the milk note that makes this stand out.

I usually prefer big bold scents so I often forget the power of something soft and comforting. I have a soft spot for clean/creamy/soapy scents going back to my high school love VS Heavenly. I get the same vibe from this one, it’s a good everyday kick back scent. It has an almost zen vibe for me, very creamy, lightly floral, lightly spiced, Very lovely and unique. It’s both ozonic AND creamy. Smells like milky fabric softener or dryer sheets soaked in milk

MirageMirage

Very similar to Very Valentino.

SailorV

Oxygene starts out with black pepper that almost makes me sneeze, but I actually like that. Then I smell ozonic fresh notes and watery florals, it reminds me of freesias at this stage and also has a 90s summer fragrance vibe. But this fragrance develops different from what you would expect from the first blast and soon turns to a creamy, beautiful clean musk with hints of sandalwood on my skin. If scents had a color, Oxygene would be blue in the opening, but white like milk in the drydown. It doesn‘t smell like literal milk though, it just conveys a milky feeling.
This somewhat reminds me of Narciso EDP (white cube), as they both share musk, gardenia and woodsy notes. But while Narciso is quite heavy and only works in the cold months for me, Oxygene is like a fluffy cloud of freshness that smells wonderful in the heat. It‘s a special fragrance, it performs really good for a summer scent, the price is right - I will get me a bottle soon, this is a no-brainer!

catmeow

I still try to figure this one out, oh my, what a unique scent.
I bought it, because this classic perfume lingered in my mind ever since I first saw that blue icy advertisement combined with the name Oxygene, breathe in breathe out, must be like fresh air.. I thought.

These expectations were wrong.

It starts very peppery, almost had to sneeze. And the pepper has some staying power, even after it becomes more soft and powdery.

It's air fresh and clean, yes, but more like washing powder, still in a good way, but it's difficult not to think about laundry starch.

Can't detect milk and I hoped so much for it.

All that does not sound too good.. but surprisingly I really like it on my skin, not for every mood, maybe in a court room on the day that you want to be proven innocent.
It's pretty cool and serious business, calming and clean.

jessicadeal

You might expect an aquatic/ozonic fragrance, given the name and dreamy blue bottle, but nope...total pepper/powder/cream. Really lovely. I don't crave this perfume like some of my others, but every time come across it I think, "why don't I wear this more often?" I love how the pepper is very prominent and sticks around a long time, even though it's a top note. The powdery, creamy drydown is really pleasing. I love unisex scents, and while not unisex, Oxygene is not overly feminine. Longevity is good on me, especially considering the light/moderate silage.

LavenderSky

Lanvin Oxygene is a brilliant work of art. There aren't enough complimentary words in the English language to describe how magnificent this perfume truly is. Every time I spray the beautiful sky blue mist onto my skin, the creamy dreamy aroma takes me breathlessly to the Milky Way and back. I'm in LOVE with it. I refuse to be without it. I will always shamelessly own more than one bottle in my perfume collection. Now that's addicted, no lol? ;-)

ddusdusty123

90% baby powder and 10% milky baby breath.
Dries down to musky white florals.
Got an old miniature from ebay.

SheShe

I like it and bought a bottle. The price was bargain.
'Oxygene' is long lasting on me (about 12 hours or more) and the sillage is moderate.
This is an interesting fragrance. It starts with something herbal, musky and it's quite a sharp opening. Then the fragrance calms down and becomes smooth, soft, milky, flowery with a note of spice. It starts fresh but then it becomes warm. Lots of musk, milk, pepper, iris. The fragrance reminds me a bit of Trussardi Jeans, but only a bit.

Jondelour

Could this be one of the most loved Women's fragrances of all time?

If the glowing reviews with bunches of balloons do not signal it's appeal enough, try smelling it.

I join a few other male reviewers on here, though I accidentally ordered this instead of the well regarded male version, Oxygene Homme.

My partner is in for a treat though.

At first I thought I had a light Woody, green fresh scent, then it was apparent on the dry down I had a beautiful milky, floral musk.

I gathered it was unisex but much more Feminine.

I wish I could wear this, to my novice male nose, it brings to mind glimpses of the late 90s and in particular the 2002 classic Dior Addict.

The floral aspect of gardenia and rose coupled with milk, creates a smooth, opulent bouquet.

Sandalwood and musk broaden the accord with just enough lift from the citrus and pepper.

Beautiful, certified Classic.

HELP!!! I need some Oxygen 2L please... This fragrance is so breath taking!! I loved this fragrance since 2001 and loving the new version as well..

justfloral

Fresh and velvety at the same time.

Fresh musky "oceanic" scent of washing powder mixed with sweeter velvety note (milky scent of skin) + powdery iris / violet / sandalwood + echo of anise and peper.

It's scent of fresh laundry, like a mix of washing powder and steam during ironing + milky scent of some starched fabrics when heated.

Starlett_Sexton

Oxygene wears so floral on me not woodsy or aquatic just extremely floral and I love that. I love this so much!!!

IngaMM

I wore this almost exclusively from the age of 20 to 30 but changed it eventually about 10yrs or so ago. If there is anybody else who used to feel the same about it please contact me, I’m curious to hear what your favourite fragrance is today.

AaronStar

Great notes, milk, iris, gardenia, there are way too few milk fragrances in the perfume market. Anyway, this sells for 16 pounds and is readily available in the uk, but hard to find and expensive in the us, so shop international.

My Nieghbor's Mother-in-law wears this. While visiting (we were hanging out having lunch together) The topic of perfüme came up. The M.I.L raved about this perfüme. She said she had some with her. Asked me if I wanted to try some now. She'd be happy to spray it. My Nieghbor had this look of fear on her face and yelled in a panic. "No!"Don't. Please Don't. Not here. Then quickly said, it's because we were eating. Well, M.I.L pulled a big full bottle of this out of her purse. (No Kidding). Filled up a little travel spritzer and kindly gave it to me. After she left my Nieghbor said she hates it. It stinks. I thought maybe it's because it's her MIL scent. Well,as I left I decided to freshen up my lipstick in my car and decided to give my newly gifted perfüme a go. It's awful. I don't get any specific notes because it's not that type of perfüme. But, at first it's spicy strong. Not in a good way. After that it just smelled of old spray on deodorant or cheap cologne. Gave me a wicked headache too.I don't get anything fresh or airy at all. As far as longevity. My car reeked for three days for a couple of spritz. But, honestly, the mom-in-law who gave it to me loves it. She claims she wears it almost daily. She never smells badly. So, who knows.

I just read Hedward's review which says ".... Before I start talking about the scent itself I must quote a reviewer (guest_Vie Cafe) here: "In early 2000s, perfumes, it seems, were created and blended in a way where all the notes were coming at you in one punch of nondescript recognizable scent. You could tell what someone was wearing by name, but you could not identify any note".

Spot on. Lanvin Oxygene is no exception - it's blended to absolute perfection. Yes, I can name some of the notes: musk, sandalwood, hints of spacey iris and peppery gardenia… the thing is however that they form an unison ...."

The one word which leapt out to me from the quote from _Vie Cafe is "nondescript". That to me is not at all apt for Oxygene. Nondescript means "lacking distinctive or interesting features or characteristics" but Oxygene DOES have interesting features and characteristics, mainly the contrast between the pepperiness of the opening and the creaminess and floral combo. Also, at least some of the notes in Oxygene CAN be easily defined, plus Oxygene is not a perfume many people would be able to know by name what the wearer is wearing unlike, say, Poison, Angel, etc, which ARE more 'slap you around the face' kind of perfumes and are far more ubiquitous (very unfortunately, in the case of Angel which I detest and which totally turns my stomach!!).

So, just because a perfume is more subtle and less immediately definable than the stinkbomb types does NOT mean it's nondescript!! It's the kind of distinction, say, between sexy and slutty - one is more toned down and subtle, the other is in-your-face and brazen! Personally, I prefer wearing perfumes that are not so definable that 99.9% of people who smell me would immediately know exactly what I was wearing .... better to have some mystery!

libelula4954

I bought this as a blind buy, seeing all the positive reviews. Unfortunately the chemistry with me is totally wrong. I never understood how a good quality perfume could make anyone feel sick-now I know. This literally makes me nauseated, probably because of the milk- to me it smells like freshly boiled milk, which makes me instantly sick.I tried it in different weather, both warm and cold and unfortunately I had to give up and gave it to my mother who loves it.

Starlett_Sexton

Beautiful scent, I am surprised too see so many ppl talk about Oxygene having poor longevity my bottle isn’t current it’s the original formula my bottle is from (2001) this has incredible staying power. I love it! ❤️

NicoleET88

More often than not, this peppery perfume opens on my skin with a realistic blast of fresh, crisp...celery. Complete with the watery crunch and disappointment at the lack of substance.
Later it gets musky and sweet and the milk comes through, giving it an almost Chai effect as the pepper continues to bite through a slightly denser veil of creaminess. I get a little delicate rose, something heady and white but not necessarily "gardenia," and in the final shift I can pull out my beloved iris, cool amid the warm sandalwood.
I really enjoy this, even if I have to first sit through a very strange first phase.

- Dreaming room - ★★★★☆

So, I ordered myself a very cheap bottle of Lanvin Oxygene in the hope of getting myself a more affordable Feu d'Issey Light. Turns out this is the fragrance that the happy go lucky girl wears during daytime when she is preparing her nostrils for a night full of Gucci Rush. In other words – Oxygene is hopelessly 90’s, early 00’s but in the most bittersweet nostalgic loving memory way. My soul is truly crying for this lost avant garde experimental fun genre that was so abundant in the 90’s designer fragrances. Sure, there are niche options released year after year but they’re never as refined or true to the decade.

Yes, I can name some of the notes: musk, sandalwood, hints of spacey iris and peppery gardenia… the thing is however that they form an unison, a singular scent that cannot be really divided into pieces unlike todays style of fragrances. I’m so sick and tired of all the “LOOK, I CONTAIN OUD” “HEY IT’S ME, AMBER” fragrances that don’t even try to be something creative new. The lack of artistry is real – just pick a note and support it. Fragrances like Angel, Oxygene and even Poison are immediately identifiable because only they possess this certain singular accord that is the core of their identity. Call me biased but the great era of perfumery is sadly long gone. I’m patiently waiting for a counter-movement against this endless overflow of oud and ambroxan so we could once more have designer fragrances that are fun and clever. The change is already on it's way - 90's house has been ressurected (now called lo-fi house and future funk) and latex is back in mainstream style again.

Moving on. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, luckily these rare gems still exist. I wouldn’t call Oxygene a groundbreaking masterpiece but it certainly has some very unique qualities that transport me. It’s easy to wear and airy but vigilant and certainly does radiate. Not even close to the milkiness of the masterpiece that is Feu d’Issey but there surely is a fleeting abstract white texture to Oxygene that keeps my nose reaching for my wrist. Can’t wait to shower in this peculiar blue liquid. Cheers!

Arlene-Beatrix

Very peppery indeed. Nothing too spicy though. It's smooth, milky, truly nice. I don't understand the name 'oxygene' as it is rather like some oriental dessert, semi spicy and semi milky.

Linda JK

I really like this scent. As others have said, Oxygene (to me) is not an aquatic fragrance.

It opens a little sharp but quickly dissipates into something clean and fresh that lingers in the room.

It has a spicy element to it (the white pepper). The dry down is powdery, soft, and pleasant-- it truly is an inoffensive fragrance that would work in an office environment and for daytime wear.

This is definitely one of my favorites for the summer. The heat brings out the scent more.

The longevity and sillage are disappointing. After 2 hours I can't smell it, so this is one you'd need to reapply to get its full effect. Stick to the wrists for a refresher, and your collar bone if it's exposed.

I plan to use this sparingly as it's been discontinued, so you're more likely to find it on a few websites online. I don't see myself repurchasing it because the few bottles left have probably over-stayed their shelf-life, which will lead to stale-smelling perfume.

Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Alces Alces

I have to agree with the reviewers below who reiterate that Oxygene is NOT an aquatic. This does not feel like an aquatic to me because there's not a lot of citrus and none of that fake fresh Cool Water smell. It's airy if anything, like a breeze. Oxygene could be worn in any season, even summer. There is a powdery feel to the sandalwood and iris dry down, but not enough to make this a powdery scent. The rose feels like an opening rosebud, very natural and green, more like a rose plant.

Oxygene is the first scent in which I was ever able to detect black pepper as an herbal scent. The pepper is very evident, but I wouldn't call it strong since nothing about Oxygene is "strong." The pepper and milk smell much better than it sounds like they would...I mean "pepper and milk" sounds kind of gross like gravy ingredients, but it is a splendid combination here.

In the end there is something I can't identify that reminds me of Calvin Klein's Truth, though they don't share notes. Fresh but rich at the same time. Maybe it’s that they share a creator (Alberto Morillas).

tony5596

This is a very fresh and unique scent. It is not aquatic but it does give off that cleaning product smell in the opening which is okay but the dry down is so worth it because it turns into something so soft after it sits on your skin. I blind bought this with two other fragrances and this is my favorite out of the three of them. I'm planning on buying the 2.5oz bottle because this is a must have for the summer along with D&G light blue and Balenciaga skin.

Kittycat63

As a HUGE fan of Oxygene (which has been one of my best blind buy perfumes so far in the past few years since I started buying perfumes online) I feel the need to clarify something:

Oxygene is NOT (and I repeat ... NOT!!) an aquatic perfume. I've read over and over again reviews on here saying that it doesn't smell like an aquatic perfume, that the reviewers "didn't get the aquatic in this perfume", that aquatic scents don't work on them, etc, etc, etc.

The only reason I can think of why anybody would assume this is an aquatic perfume is from a) misleading reviews and b) the colour of the scent itself which is a lovely 'tropical seas' shade of blue.

Also, someone has compared Oxygene to Bath and Body Works Sea Island Cotton. I can see why that comparison may have sprung to mind BUT Oxygene is SOOO much better than Sea Island Cotton. I had a bottle of SIC (another blind internet buy!) and really didn't like it at all, even though I love clean smelling perfumes. It was very cheap smelling to my nose, very 'shrill' and just smelled of cheap fabric softener / dryer sheets.

Oxygene is a perfume with a surprising peppery kick in the beginning, oddly straddling the florals, but that quickly dissipates (in about 5 minutes on me!), becoming a very soft, creamy yet floral, clean, fresh out of the shower, 'cuddly' perfume. On me it smells very much like an expensive, lovely creamy body lotion / triple milled, exquisite smelling soap.

Despite being such a soft, clean smelling perfume, on me Oxygene lingers FOREVER (especially if I spritz a little in the small of my back or on my tummy) and outlasts many perfumes that are far more expensive (and overpriced!). I only need one or two spritzes and never need to reapply it because it lasts so long! It garners many compliments and is perfect for me to wear anytime, anywhere.

I'd be lost now without my Oxygene and if I had to get rid of all of my numerous perfumes and only keep one this would be the one (well, OK, along with my Pacifica French Lilac perfume!!), even though I like to not stick to using just one perfume all the time. It's pretty much perfect for me and I love it now just as much as I did when I first encountered it several years ago!! It's a real gem. :-)

nerdyrockstar

I had high hopes for this one and fell in love with the beautiful futuristic bottle. No milk on me, first seconds I can smell a bit of freshness but then it transforms into a more sweet and rather elegant smell, but with a slight "metallic" note. No smell of rain of thunder or freshness on my skin :/
very similar to Paco Rabanne Pour Elle Indeed.

Tussa

Blue bottle and "oxygen" in name is trigger for me. But wisely I tried it rather than blind buy. Not bad, but for me to plain and synthetic. Dispite the good price, I will just pass this one.

hi i knew this since one of my friend wear this ad i say her this have a WOW milky-musky note and for this i like it and i will wear. so i think it can be unisex :) . really better than man one . good price. thank you.

I have both versions of Oxygene and use them often in the spring/summer. They each smell fantastic on their own, but I use a couple sprays of the female version on my skin and a couple sprays of the male version on my clothes. To me the layering of the two smells out of this world. Both versions are a must in a collection.

Mooniq

My third bottle and this time I get the milk-note. Warm soft pepper, milk, musk, Gardenia and sandalwood is what i get on my skin. A great scent with good sillage and very longlasting on my skin. perfect for warmer weather - for you who don't like just citruses for hot sunny weather. Often a bargin-price and easy to find on internet. worth trying.

I just got this a few days ago and I can NOT stop sniffing my arm after I spray it! Oh my goodness, it smells so good! I was afraid it would have an empty, lonely, sad feeling that I get with some ozone perfumes or aquatic. No, this is not an ozone perfume at all, it's just called Oxygen and I'm not sure why. Not aquatic either, just the beautiful blue perfume tricking your mind. Nope, no ozone or aquatic. This is very lovely and cozy. First spray I get the blast of iris, rose and bergamot with a tartness/sweetness. Then immediately the creamy/milky comes in, then slight spicy/powdery...very slightly. Stays a little tart, but only a little...very little. It is all blended so perfect that there is nothing in the notes that comes forward in an overwhelming, annoying or irritating way. Not cloy at all but just two sprays fills a room with loveliness. I threw my shirt in the dirty clothes basket and the next day when I went to launder my shirt, I could still smell a soft hint of the perfume still lingering. I keep getting the sinse I have smelled this gorgeous perfume before but can't put my finger on it. I will try to edit when it come to me if it ever does. I never smelled the gardenia in this. It is definitely a pillow sprayer. I would wear this all year around all day. Oh gosh, I can't stop smelling of it! Not a regret blind buy at all...no way!

Estela B

Now that I know it is so cheap I am planning to buy some bottles of it. Back in 2000 when they launched I was a poor student and had no money to buy it, and I loved it! When bumped into it here on Frangrantica I immediately remembered how it smelled, I had forgotten it's existence! Glad to know it is still around. I will buy it for sure!

cedar_lea

Nicw gardenia/iris scent. I do get a little bit of the milk pepper and ozone in the drydown, but it's primarily floral on me.

Madrona

I really like it. It's fresh, peppery and creamy/milky at the same time. In a way I think it smells like the turn of the millennium, somehow. I can't explain.

amirali0072000

This is a great scent
fresh spicy and powdery..blue..
it's for all seasons.
Longevity and projection are good.
it's a legendary masterpiece from lanvin.

Lippe

Really a very nice and fresh scent. Unfortunately I find it boring very fast. I say unfortunately since I get plenty of compliments every time I wear it.

Eyviab

Ahhh I love this one it's warm creamy goodness with hints of pepper and flowers.... Oh dear! It's not aquatic at all definitely I would say a unisex frag! Although on my skin it's a luxurious cup of warm milk with a decadent mix of delicate flowers each shine holding their own and the pepper sprinkled on top it's musky and a wee bit woody but over all a fresh twist to it maybe the bergamot balances it. So good so interesting! Definitely refreshing for me considering I'm a gourmand freak but I'm not afraid to change it up! And this is a great change from time to time. Comforting refreshing all in one! Longevity for me is about 8hrs sillage is moderate and wearing it is pure bliss!

AngelEuphoria

Think I love this but will wear longer to see. Very clean and works for all seasons.

Katrin77

Thanks, jana.hollinghorst. It seems that you are right. Such a shame, as I was specifically looking forward to smell the milky note.

jana.hullinghorst

I'd like to speak to the review below mine: I believe that the newer stock of this fragrance lacks the milk note. I've had two bottles of this stuff and the second bottle wasn't anywhere as creamy as the first. Such a disappointment!

Katrin77

I had high hopes for this one because of the reviews here. Received my bottle yesterday, and it disappointed me. I guess I have to correct my understanding of what a milky scent is, cause I don't get any milk here. The scent doesn't come out as a soft and spicy scent on me. It's more a straight up fresh aquatic, great for a young lady in summertime.

I find "oxygene" actually very similar to Yves Rocher "Ming Shu" (discontinued) which I am done with after using up approx 3-4 bottles in the early 2000's. Now I am stuck with a 75 ml. bottle of Oxygene and I already have too many perfumes. Anyone up for a swap? Preferably in Europe or Scandinavia, as I live in Norway.

sonia.kassambara

This is a wonderful, warm and singular scent. The ingredients are modern but has a cozy Proustian feel, reminding me of scent memories before I had names for them. The powdery sweet opening is followed by a lingering spicy milk cloud. I wear in in cold weather when I want to smell like warm almond milk and in cooler weather when I want something deceptively light. Smells snuggly on a scarf and on a crisp cotton shirt. A welcome duality.

olga_adriana

This is the best example I've seen of marketing/advertising that actually does represent the fragrance truthfully.

Watch the commercial for this, and you'll see what I mean. The ad, to the eyes, is what Oxygene is to the nose. A work of art - clean, refreshing, urban and yet natural all at once.

It reminds me of walking through the streets of New York on a balmy late afternoon.

There's something romantic about this scent, even though it's great for everyday wear. I think it would be a wonderful option for a signature, and a not overly common one at that. I wish they were making fragrances more like Oxygene. These days it's all the same, fruity gourmand sugary girly garbage from the big houses.

Oxygene is a perfume for a full grown, confident goddess, like Gisele. It's raw and sensual, clean, fresh, and feminine in a big girl kind of way. Love it, and Alberto Morillas is becoming one of my favorite noses! His creations are always quite innovative!

missyasmina

I have a nearly full bottle of this I would be willing to swap... does not smell so good on me!

Bee-young-ka

oooooh. yum!
I like masculine woman's scents, light on flowers
I love this sort of different perfume.

fresh but dry, a weird aquatic but there is a masculineness that seems like an aquatic..
warm out the dryer sheets,
in three words it would be
Dry
Fresh
Wind blown.

lovely milky pepper and if there must be flowers,
let them be Gardenia and roses.

if there is iris it only adds a slight powder to my skin.

To me this is a great winter perfume but I have yet to try in summer.

scent 9/10
Bottle 8/10

magda14012

I have a decant that I use at night, as it is so milky, comforting and calming. I do not find it aquatic at all. It is kind of warm, relaxing and soothing. Do recommend it

Mooniq

Perfect scent for hot weather! I can't wear parfums with citrus-notes at all - but peppery notes turns magic on my skin. And sun, heat and peppermixed scents is my cup of tea =). Oxygene makes me feel fresh for many hours.

Perfekt doft för varmt väder! Jag kan inte bära dofter med tydliga citrusnoter alls, men peppriga noter blir magiska på min hud. Sol, värme och pepparmixade dofter är min grej. Oxygene håller mig fräsch länge.

ChelleBelle84

I'm not certain why some reviewers find this a winter only fragrance. It's 81F (27C) and I'm wearing it right now. The gardenia comes out more for me making it summery. The milk seems to add creaminess to the gardenia while the pepper adds some spice. The musk with sandalwood complete the fragrance and smells yummy! When it's colder, I get the gardenia mixed with the hyssop for a while and then it settles to that yummy sweet sandalwood/musk combo mixed with a little gardenia.

I've had people stop in their tracks or back up after passing me to ask what I'm wearing. They say I have a "mysterious allure" wearing it. lol I lightly spray my pulse points and let the scent and my body chemistry do its magic. Lasts for a long while on me and can wear it everywhere. They say it's discontinued but I've still have been able to get it online for a very reasonable price and have just recently purchased a couple of bottles at Ross.

Edit 1: Although it's not an exact copy, it does remind of Lancome's Miracle. If you like that one, you'll love this one.

Edit 2: A suggestion beings that this is good for day wear, that for evening layer 212 Sexy by Carolina Hererra on top. Fantastic results since both are somewhat spicy, peppered gardenias. They really compliment each other.

maraki1

It is a VERY powdery smell. I think it is better for winter because it is rather intensive to my nose. It is different, strange and unique (almost alien for me). Don't expect something familiar, flowery or sweet fragrance. It is floral in a veeery different aspect. Gardenia and iris are present but this perfume gives me the impression that is not so blended... You could smell almost all notes. It gets better at 10' after application. Very PEPPERY, in your face! Hahahaha!
I think it is more suitable for winter.
2000 must have been a very good year for Mr Morillas.

lulami

There's only one word that I can use to describe this perfume and that's warm. Even though it may be classified as a floral aquatic it actually is not. I would rather say that this is a winter perfume, the one that keeps you warm and cosy and I just can't stop smelling my wrist while I'm reading on my bed or studying. It's almost obsessive, I can't get enough of it. I love that milk and pepper note at the top. It's like it makes you wanna keep getting back for more. I really, truly love this perfume.

Edit: I actually think this is an all-year- round perfume. I love the way it transforms in different seasons and temperatures. During cold or cool days is so soft and warm, I can mostly detect the floral vibe, whilst during hot and warm summer or spring time it presents its other nature- the aquatic and cool one that makes me feel as if I am tasting the breeze of the sea.

perfumeproblem777

The smell is okay, but does not last long on me. It reminds me so much of a lovely aunt who used to wear this when I was younger. If I want to go for the fresh sporty aquatic scent, I'm going to be much more likely to reach for Acqua di Gioia or Chance Eau Fraische.

My main complaint about this fragrance is the bottle. It almost hurts my fingers to use. I'm not sure if it's my bottle in particular, but the spray button on top is very hard to press down, and it's like I have to squeeze the whole bottle to get it to spray. I won't be repurchasing this one.

lalondem

I did now receive this yesterday. I got it via mail with 3 other perfumes from a perfume site. I smelled all 4 and put Oxygen aside saying "too weird!" Then today I sprayed it on myself individually without the other perfumes and...oooh the creamy milk and iris with the bit of spices....just great! I remember another fragrance that I thought was too weird to wear- CK Contradiction- has a metallic smell at first, and now it too is a fav of mine. Sometimes just wearing something a couple to a few times gets you in the groove of that certain fragrance...though I will never like EL Youth Dew!! Lol

Oxygen is a definite love for me....

lalondem

I'm not sure why Fragrantica has stated that this is the "first" perfume made after Arpege, when the site shows there were a few others in the 30's and up to the 80s...curious...nonetheless...awaiting this one in the mail.....

chanelnumerocinq

Great aquatic fragrance. For a sporty fresh scent such as this, it’s not a wallflower or wispy ephemeral thing.

I've noticed milk note is not what I expected. I find in perfumes it is often not the sweet scent of condensed or whole milk but rather actually a note best described as “airy”. It’s more like if you remove the cap of a reduced fat milk and take a sniff, it is not a creamy scent at all, and Oxygene is a good example of that.

Peppery, fresh, and cool. For a female-marketed aquatic, Oxygene is actually pretty heavy and strong, which I think is a good thing. And although female-marketed as I have mentioned, it is unisex smelling to me. For a unique summer scent which is not floral or fruity, try this.

Megamind

I love this so unusual scent. It resembles to nothing else in my collection. The name of the fragrance does not suit the odour itself and I see nothing oxygen there nor aquatic. I do not find enough oxygen there. It is thick, dense and sweet with the spicy opening and milky cream dry down with the smoke of iris and refreshing gardenia. The pepper is smooth and tender changing in something ice creamy with the milk note.
It's very long lasting and is better for winter period.
In one word "Special"! And that's why I love it.

Irisaddict

I ordered this as a blind buy because it sounded like it had all the right ingredients to be a 'me' perfume and I am happy to report it was a great purchase!

Oxygene is all of the things I hoped for as a daytime & potentially all year round scent; airy, citrusy, light yet distinctive, easy to wear yet impressively complex. I'm not often a rose perfume fan so was suspicious initially but the white pepper and spice really lift the often overly sweet (for me) rose notes, turning them into crisp about to bloom white roses. This blended with hints of powdery yet unisex iris and gentle gardenia, rather than overpowering full blown gardenia which I can find overwhelming, result in a fragrance that is both bright & cosy at the same time.

I really like the milky layers which round the edges of the citrus & bergamot top notes and think it's those creamy notes combined with the pepper & the earthy side of the iris elements that make this a year round perfume rather than just a light, bergamot dominant summer spritzer. All credit for the complexity of the blend and Oxygene definitely has good projection, I just received a compliment from my gardener on my perfume which has never happened before!

emiana

very creamy! long longevity...powdery and baby perfume

JamesBeach

After reading the many exhortations urging the trial of this unique, beautiful, and thrifty fragrance, I jumped in, smell unsniffed. Pepper, milk, and iris sounds to me like a winning combination of weird. And I was disappointed. Oxygene begins with a harshness that will aggravate headaches; that spell quickly burns off leaving behind a peppery aquatic melon that I would call "common". I thought something was wrong with my bottle, I wasn't at all detecting what others say is supposed to be there.

But Oxygene is a bloomer.

It takes some time, but eventually the ozone lifts and the bowl of pepper starts overflowing with milk. Oxygene pulls her arms in closer to the skin and spins ever faster for it and she is beautiful. This one deserves some patience to be allowed to unfurl, for its first impression on me was off-putting at best.

Oxygene straddles the line between feminine and masculine. For all its development, it never entirely loses its aquatic qualities that, to my nose, smell like so many other masculine aquatics and for that reason, I do not think Oxygene is at all out of place on a man. It is solidly unisex.

Comparisons to Le Feu d'Issey are greatly exaggerated. Le Feu is one of my absolute favorites and my personal white whale in perfume. As such, I'm always eager to try anything that is said to embody some of Le Feu d'Issey's spirit. There is some similarity here, but it is reaching. Etra Etro remains undisputed in my tests for proximity to Le Feu d'Issey.

Oxygene is not particularly sophisticated. Though beautiful and inoffensive enough to pass anywhere and anytime, it's best saved for casual wear, in my opinion.

Sillage is strong out of the gate but Oxygene tucks in close to the skin after an hour or two. Longevity is decent but it will be a whisper by the end of the day.

Very good and, for the price, great.

nettoyant

This is a simply amazing fragrance. Many ozonic, fresh or aquatic scents have a laundry detergent feel to them, which is fine by me, sometimes I want to smell like fresh laundry dried in fresh air. But, this one is so different. So fresh but also a bit sweet and creamy. It doesn't break down into something wan, it lasts and lasts and remains fresh for over 24 hours on clothes. It's simply one of the most unique and lovely fragrances I have. On a hot and humid day it lifts me out of the oppressing stickiness, elevates my mood and just makes me happy!

scentstagram

However they managed to mix aquatic with spicy I do not know but here it is. And at a fraction of the cost of other similar frags. Fresh yet warm. Anyone looking for a warm weather scent that's not overly citrus heavy, try this one. Fresh but still warm and body conscious. Excellent work scent, totally unisex. Talking distance sillage, you won't kill nobody with this one, just smell good and likable. There's a soapy, freshly showered feel to this one. Spicy warm and totally not cloying at the same time. Not honyed or artificial, very likable, easy and at the same time complex. Value for money tripled comparing to many others.

this is such a light airy fragrance but with surprisingly good longevity. It has a presence without bothering anyone else around it. Really good quality and money's worth with this purchase. Works well for any season and any weather. Apple-aquatic is the only way I can describe this perfume. The pepper really lifts this fragrance giving it just the right amount of "airiness" to it without being sneeze inducing. Definitely not a generic perfume - very unique in its own way and I would definitely repurchase if I had the chance.

Cocobean

I thought I would love this, it sounds very aquatic light & fresh.. But strangely it's the opposite, very musky & heavy I'm trying to like this but no... It just gives me a headache, if you like floral/musks this is for you. It was a blind buy & had good reviews... Whatever floats your boat!

Nikkafragrance

I liked Oxygene, but on my skin it's really weak - one hour and the scent is gone:( To my nose this is not a sporty frag, it's more mature and suitable for cool nights. Usually I hate any kind of pepper as a top note, but milk and gardenia soften the perfume in a sensual way.

pravda48

This is not a scent I'd call aquatic by any means. I also wouldn't recommend inhaling it deeply like a breath of fresh air, it's a bit heavy for that.

It opens with LOTS of white musk (think dryer sheets) and over 15mins or so pepper and creamy notes join the fabric softener white musk. If I search for the iris it's there too, but definitely a muted factor compared to the pepper/musk.

I'll be honest: the opening makes my nose itch like I'm going to sneeze eventually. But I never do, and after it mellows out and the gardenia and creamy sandalwood rise it becomes such a beautiful comfort scent. Oxygene is very much about clean linens to me at the beginning and then dries down (over an hour later) to a beautiful, soft creamy, slightly sweet 2nd skin scent. For that I like it a lot, even counting the rough opening; just spray it and go about your day and you'll soon find yourself thinking, "What's that pleasant, creamy sweet smell?" like a very pleasant body lotion calming scent. I love it more and more every time I wear it.

ETA: It smells like Noa Cacharel on my skin after that one dries down too, w/ the creamy peony plus '90's style clean white musk. Noa's more lotv though, making this one a better choice for me. Plus the white pepper here is a fun twist. (2.14.15)

This perfume has that "clean windows" feeling (in a very good way). It opens a bit harsh, but this only lasts for a couple of minutes. At fist it blows you away (the pepper in the beginning is strong and yet creamy) like a cool breeze. After that it settles very close to the skin and lasts for a whole day. i can smell it even the next day when i shower, especially when i have sprayed my neck. I think the name Oxygen describes it perfectly. :)

Kittycat63

Briones .... sorry to hear that Oxygene doesn't seem to last on your skin.

Obviously, how long a perfume lasts depends on a person's skin type, etc, but this perfume does seem to last for ages on a lot of people's skin, going by a lot of the reviews for it on here! Luckily, I'm one of the people it lasts a long time on, particularly if I spray a little in my hair and spritz a little in the small of my back, which seems to work really well as I get little wafts of the perfume throughout the day then and through to the following morning as well!

So, perhaps give it another try? Also, using an un-scented (or neutral scented) body lotion to moisturise skin helps 'hold' a perfume.

Oxygene is a lovely, very unique and a 'go-to' perfume that I'm so glad I took a chance on a few years back and blind bought over the internet as I'd be lost without it now and I always fall back on it to wear when I'm not sure exactly what I'm in the mood for and /or want to wear a perfume that is suitable for any time and any occasion!

mabelcruet

This one just doesn't work on me. I've been experimenting recently and got this to try out aquatic notes because thats not a family I've consciously tried before. On me it opens very fresh but sharp and bitter-it's reminiscent of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. It's a scouring sort of note and made my nose itch, it hit my sinuses with a blast of pepper and bathroom cleaner. Pepper is the only spice that I can identify within it, but weirdly it becomes milky after about 30 minutes, which doesn't diminish the pepper note but adds a sort of nauseating cream note like milk that has turned in the heat. I really didn't like this one but thankfully it only lasted about an hour. On me its not at all feminine and there's no softness, no floral or soft sandalwood, simply harsh pepper and sour milk. This one is going into the 'give away' pile (thankfully only a miniature bought!).

username101

Peppecorn and milk notes for an oxygen inspired fragrance? That's unusual.

perfumeaddiction

Thank you to my lovely swap partner for giving me the opportunity to try this fragrance. What a lovely scent. I think it's fair to say that the notes described above are pretty accurate. This is quite feminine and extremely soft and light. I smell all notes above. I would grab for this one anytime I was unsure what to wear. It's a great go to scent that will not overwhelm or dominate a situation. I think it's great for daytime wear. At first I thought this perfume was one of those "faders" but I sprayed it on my neck and smelled into the next morning.

Angel in the South

Why has it taken me so long to discover another lovely perfume? I only wish that I had bought it sooner.
I love spicy perfumes and some I have shout out to me. Oxygene is purring to me like a contented kitten. I do not think that I would have bought it if it had been aquatic as that is not the kind I like. This is a light, airy, slightly powdery smell. Longevity and sillage are good on my skin. It is a fresh, clean and not overpowering perfume. Another successful blind buy thanks to good reviews. Like that kitten I am really content today with my latest buy.

patxaran

One of my best blind buys ever. It made me ponder the question what constitutes a modern scent. Call it a cliche but the bottle really describes very well what is inside. With the notes listed one might think this goes into the well behaved soft floral or baby powder category but the result is quite different indeed. Oxygene if i may say so makes my powdery scents feel like baby bottoms and my floral ones feel old fashionesd. I may even have to rethink my dislike for aquatics. If this is aquatic then yes, bring it on, cooling vibes on a warm summer day. Perhaps the term "dry aquatic" would make sense here? I am having a hard time figuring out the notes but I can sense iris and pepper for sure in this cool breeze. Sorry for the vague description I will need to update my review when I get more used to this new baby in my collection :-)

pamelapuffadder

This was my favorite fragrance for years. i found it to be so fresh, yet with enough floral to be feminine. not aquatic at all. For many years i couldn,t get sleep until i spritzed my wrists. It,s one of those lesser known gems. I'm getting another bottle. It,s elegant and unusual. and i can't type very well on my phone -- ugh :-)
y

Taxidermy

Fresh and spicy. Nice, but really nothing groundbreaking. Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed after all the rave reviews. I wish there were less pepper and more gardenia. Don't get me wrong, I like it, just not as much as I like my other aquatics.

By the way, I agree with the comparisons to Miracle.

Update:

The milky note in the base makes this perfume unbearable to me. Sorry :(

Sylvie-Aus

Received a bottle today, bough it blind following the good reviews ! I am not sure what to think, I expected something more fresh / summery. I found it heavy, a bit headachy and cloying. It is winter here, I may have a better scent in summer ! It is ok, the raw wheat is very strong on me, thick not really "creamy" . Overall, not the love at first sniff, I was hoping for. Wonderful bottle tho !

chanel4747

what a fragrance.... very light fresh but though all people around can smell the freshness. It has a very long lasting especially on clothes and hair about 2 days. I love it so much, it is floral powdery and a little little bit peppery, but all together is fresh floral on me. For sure I will buy again, very safe to wear in all occasions.

Kittycat63

Is this another lovely perfume that has been discontinued ? ? ? If so then I'm GUTTED ! ! I really love this perfume and it's one of my 'go-to's' when I need something that is clean, fresh, lasts all day and suits any occasion.

If it has been discontinued then I think that's a VERY bad decision by Lanvin and they need their heads examined! My beloved Esacada 2005 (one of the only Escada perfumes that I really like and that isn't one of their run-of-the-mill fruity ones that smell like fruit sodas!), Ivoire de Balmain and OP Blend, etc, have all seemingly been discontinued which is a TRAVESTY ..... bring 'em back you stupid, dumbass perfume makers ! !

jana.hullinghorst

This is my second review of this fragrance. I wore this alot last summer and am looking forward to pulling it out again for summer circulation 2014. I've spritzed a healthy dose on earlier this evening and the dry down is especially milky on my skin tonight. soft peppery milk with the iris holding it all together. Very artistic and abstract yet still very wearable. It's one you'll think about even when you're not wearing it. Good longevity, lovely sillage, very good summer scent. A nice change up from the usual citrus florals that are so popular during the warm months.

FaunAromatic

A fragrance that manages to give the impression of a strong breeze without being a "typical" fresh-smelling scent. Elegant, refreshing and upscale. Another perfume I'm madly hoarding because of its disappearance from the market.

megkaybeee

I love this fragrance! It brightens my day with its beautiful scent, somehow, I'm a little sad it makes me nauseous for no reasons. :(

polly golightly

mi piace tanto ma su di me è tremendo

Frayja

Ι never believed that oxygen passes via pepper and gardenia, but somehow the magic nose of A.Morillas made it happen!!!
Truly fresh, not aquatic but clean as water at the same time, little bit oriental in the drydown, amazing composition.
Take a deep breath !

lizardqueen

This is a really lovely and unique scent, very much in the vein of Cacharel's Noa and Calvin Klein's Truth. Although this one is less green and more musky, it shares the same well-blended floral and woody accords. In some ways, it also reminds me of Bvlgari's Eau The Blanc in its ozonic quality. A zen scent, it's clear but hardly uncomplicated.

WhoScentsU-lee

A go-to frag after nearly 10 years of on again- off again use. I appreciate Oxygene for being the building block for frags such as DG Light Blue and Armani Aqua Di Gioia...fresh and aquatic...I smell heavenly today!

frusia

KittyCute, your review is so accurate, that's almost the same way I feel about Oxygene. I love what you said about the pre-stormy sea-shore stage, I love this stage :) The only thing I disagree with is that there is too much musk, I find the amount just right maybe because I don't wear it in Summer, I find it a bit too "sticky" in Summer. I love my Oxygene in Winter; where I live Winters are not too cold and Oxygene is just right to warm my senses up

lirael00

I wear Oxygene to my classes a lot, cause it's really not offensive and it smells fresh. It's perfect for the mornings as you need to fill yourself with new energy. It starts like a peppery milk and dries down to a powdery milk. It's really hard to describe it, cause you can't say it's totally aquatic and you can't say that it's not. It's a weird mixture that luckily for me, works just perfectly.I'm a really big fan of this one.

PastelMoon

Fresh, peppery, herbal-spicy aquatic, that is as distinct as it sounds. Very soothing fragrance, perfect for casual outings and office. Great scent that blends herbal and aquatic components and provides a very harmonious feeling.

Planet_X

Yeah...remindss me..nothing more nothing less but Lanvin Oxygen of wizard Alberto Morillas

Even though notes are similar with ISsey Miyake Feu D'Issey (highly praised)

I think its name - "Oxygen" and this group(aquatic, lol) where someone placed it - played not the best role and yes, its very underrated.

for me - its spicy-irisy electric charger. Aromatic, unusual, unique. A bit of lipstick(in a good way), a bit of milk,a bit of musky-rosy-powder,I also feel coriander. The picture from it - scent of the very dusted country-side road after the heavy rain with lightning.

Truly charming.
Feel like getting more of it this year.

KittyCute

Well, if you think that this is a typical aquatic / ozone flanker you're totally wrong. Imho. This is very classy, unusual / unique and good quality concoction. It has peppery character with gentle flowery sound that based on a nice powdery / woody base. I detect musk (maybe little bit too much...). The milky note here is only to balance the composition, to give some creamy soft lingering. But its not the main note in any meaning. The opening is not so feminine and definitely sounds unisex. During the developing this fragrance gives you a fresh breeze feeling like a fresh air just a few moments before stormy-rain begins on the sea-shore. Very elegant and sophisticated freshness indeed. Then flowers get involved very gently with aromatic peppery accord. The final stage gets more and more powdery character with some cosmetic / lipstick vibe in it. The base is quite powdery and definitely reminds a lipstick's smell. It's developing stage is challenging and actually never boring me. Longevity is great with noticeable silage. Oxygene has a very pleasant silage. Can be great at Spring / Summer seasons too. Highly recommended! :) I'm happy with my purchase

Juliana6

I've been reading and thinking about it since the summer of the 2010, but those negative reviews made me think it wasn't a safe blind buy and I had a bad experience with Rumeur by Lanvin, so I went for other scents.
But now I risked. Now it's in my hands. And I like it (going on "love it").
The opening is spicy, aromatic (yes, the pepper) and fresh (in my opinion) with a subtle, feminine white flower note. At this stage it reminds me "Miracle" by Lancome (they share the same spicy opening and the musk in the base). When it settles down, I feel a fresh cut grass aroma, which is like a wonder in the middle of the winter. The flowers are still there. The base is creamy (the milk, I guess), warm, but still spicy.
Somewhat sensual and a bit provocative. My boyfriend said it smelled like sex. I guess every woman would like to hear that about her perfume.
I am happy with my blind buy!

cherry_lips

Begins very peppery mixed with loud rose, which reminded me of Serene by Oriflame. After a while it settles down to a lovely musky iris smell.
I tested it in cold weather and Oxygene faded quickly, in about 2-3 hours. I think I'll wait for a warmer season to test it again :)

mimi.smell

To my nose this is a cold weather scent. It opens relatively strong peppery floral, but settles down quickly to a very feminine, milky floral with the base of woods, which adds some elegance to this perfume. Not girlish, but still gentle, perfect for winter daily use. The longevity is quite good, but stays more to the skin. To detect it better I prefer to reapply it few times through the day.

Hollie

I've had this for a while and I'm still on the fence. The notes sound really amazing....pepper!....Milk!....Iris!...Gardenia!

Sadly, I'm kind of underwhelmed....I had high hopes for something unique and ethereal. There's a peppery bite in the beginning and I smell a little gardenia but it morphs really quickly into a clean laundry smell...somewhat synthetic. Not a light, fresh laundry smell but kind of a still-wet-not-quite-dry smell. It's got to be my skin....perfumes tend to get weighed down on me. I think that's why I prefer heavier, spicier orientals & such...they feel like they belong on me more than "fresh" scents do. I've officially tried Oxygen in every season and although I don't dislike it, I have yet to find myself longing for it. It's just not what I had hoped for. I have a large bottle for trade in the US if any Oriental haters want to swap!

lisatenholt

I think this one is very fresh. It almost smells like when you're on holiday, just coming out of the sea.. laying on the beach to dry. It just reminds me of that. This is def. a summer scent for me. One day I love it, next day it gives me headaches..

TJerria

Just got my 2.5 ounce bottle today and I am quite impressed. I sprayed it out right away and immediately noted the spiciness and it's base notes immediately become apparent. I love it wears so well.

Jola 72

I,m gonna rock with Oxygene in this coming cold season. So it works for me,very good and sensitive almost airy oriental woody dry down,I am amazed of it.Love Oxygene in combo with my beloved Boucheron B.Unsweetened Le Baiser du Dragon by Cartier. How amazing is it...LOVE

My signature perfume 4 eva n' eva!!

Alessia C

The smell is nice: watery/ozone scent with light floral traces. Always loved the fragrance, but in recent years it has become difficult to find in the store. It lasts longer on the skin and it can be worn both in winter and summer. When you wear this fragrance, you will receive compliments all day long and into the night

czerwinski1

This parfume is masterpiece! Mister Morillas big thanks. Oxygene is creamy and fresh like a shower. For me this is very unique, iris is high tone. I love this forever.

freddinos

I was sensible for once in my perfume life and decided to try before buying a full bottle of Oxygene (it can be found for ridiculous prices online and I was wondering why!). Boy am I glad I did! To me this perfume is the complete opposite of its name and packaging. I'm keeping a tiny second thought in case my miniature had gone off, but really how off can a perfume get? What I experienced was purely an oriental spice (I think it's called turmeric in English but I'm not entirely sure) that they use to season a specific type of beef pastrami eaten in the Mediterranean. Ugh! No milk, no iris, no pepper whatsoever. I had to scrub it off after 10 minutes. I still cannot believe this sky blue ethereal juice with the name Oxygene smells like that! Apologies to the fans, I really hope I received a bad mini because some of you guys are describing something I would love to experience too...

SIPLANTIS

I've just received it and clearly say that, it's the soft version of L'instant de Guerlain and also similar like Ocean Dream GBH. Unfortunately wasn't my cup of tea. But i'll use it anyway. I find out what i'm looking for is similar like Tesori d'oriente Hammam . Unluckily we don't have it in Turkey.

SS79

I think with this fragrance, you either like it or you don't.. it's very different in my opinion.. but I like it!.. I usually wear this one after a bath or shower. Its a fresh/warm smell.. I find it hard to describe... but something about it is soothing. Plus.. it never goes away! lol.. the longevity is crazy.. and you only need 1-2 sprays max! :-)

SIPLANTIS

I've ordered this perfume 2 days ago by reading these reviews, hope i'll satisfy the result. Let you know :)..

jana.hullinghorst

I just purchased this at a very low price as a blind buy because I love many of Alberto Morillas' creations... fingers crossed.

ok here's the review:
after spritzing; it's a peppery shock at first, with the iris doing cartwheels in the background. then the creaminess starts to happen about 20 minutes into it. Within about 2 hours it turns into a soft atmosphere of gardenias and cream- softly radiating from the pulse points. I'm about 3 hours into it, and I can still detect bits of it. Oxygen will be one that you reapply at about mid afternoon to experience all over again for the later part of the day :)

It reminds me of Acqua Di Gio by Armani -also by Morillas, they both have the same atmospheric feeling, but otherwise, they're completely different from each other. One is luxurious european summer on holiday, the other is summer in the city where anything can happen.

WONDERFUL blind buy for me and a great addition to my little collection. I've never smelled anything like it. I will say it's not for everyone, takes a certain type of person to pull this off.

KATERINA LABROPOULOU

Oxygene for me is a peppery summery perfume. Its very uplifting and you can smell the quality of the perfume from the very first sniff. It is very long lasting with excellent sillage. I don't think they make now days such quality perfumes. Definitely a keeper with an excellent bottle, gem for every perfume collector. Price is fantastic too, don't miss it.

StellaDiverFlynn

I blind bought it according to reviews and I'm not disappointed at all. It's creamy, but incredibly clean and fresh. Such an unusual fragrance. The white pepper is gentle, but enough to spice up the milk along with iris. You see it doesn't need to be aquatic to match the name 'Oxygen'. The creaminess makes it very cozy to wear; the freshness wakes the nose up. Isn't it truely a breeze of Oxygen ? If you're looking for a fresh summer scent but not very fond of aquatic, give Oxygene a try. You might be happily supprised.

The longevity on me is 8h+ and the sillage is quite good for such a fresh scent.

Museumgal

This is such an unusual scent! It really develops and changes over a use. The iris is fresh and clean, accented by the sharp pepper. Then this wonderful creaminess comes in, but it amazingly never weighs down the composition. Even though it's milky, it's still light and gentle and not at all cloying. The musk is very grounding and the white florals blend in well, the iris is still the star flower. There's really nothing else like it, it's hard to get fresh and clean while bringing in that milkiness.

jesseg

this reminds me of miracle by lancome...same nose behind both...i get no milky notes on my dry skin...its very fresh and clean but notvery long lasting

LaUna

Clean, fresh scent that resembles the name. Lots of pepper in here to open up nasal pores in a good way:)
Pepper, bergamot, water notes and very mild traces of gardenia. Now the milk note = very close to the skin note, yup it's there in small amounts. After awhile gardenia makes its presence known.
This is a great choice for hot summer days when you want to freshen up; you'll get multi-use out of this perfume.

dormir6

Definatly a woody frangrance with sandal and not offensive in any way. It is a comfort smell, makes you feel clean, pretty and cosy. Warm in a sense when you are wraped in a light coloured cashmere comforter and watching the snowy landscape outside.Everyhting is in order around you, you are close to nature and colse to your real inner feminity. Nice!
After I have been wearing it for a few days, I must admit there is another face of it that is hard to describe. Some of you say it is pepper, milky, or iris, but for me it is just some nice ozonic, fresh air. This side of the perfume keeps your head cool and capable in a very comforting way while all the soft atmosphere is still around you. Very unique. So If you are looking for something to seduce or wear "as a nice, girly, or feminine perfume" it is not your cup of tea. But if you want something special, then try it!
Edit: I can't understand its beauty. It's a winner for me. I LOVE it!!!! In the Hungarian heat it was creamy gardenia on my skin, and lasted soooo long. So funny! My peppery, woody little treasure has shown another adorable face. A week ago it was cool dill. I also liked that side of it :-D Wonderful!!!!! Very good in spring (sandal, soft, woody), good in the first warm days of summer (ozonic, peppery, woody, freshness) and the hottest days it's creamy melting flowers. Ohhhh, I am curiously waiting for winter and snowfall. Congratulations Lanvin!!!!!

Berlynn

I really liked this one, however the silage is a bit much for me. I sprayed it once and it filled the whole room I was standing in and actually sent my asthmatic mother in law into an asthma attack. Pretty notes, but the intensity of it could knock a person out cold! I actually loved the musky pepper, but I clearly can't wear it because it's overpowering. I even tried to shower it off and it still remains on me!

alicepolice

I'm surprised by how much I like this every time I spray it on. To me, it has a clear resemblance to a sauce my mother used to make -- it consisted of Nordic sour cream, dill, black pepper and lemon juice. Fresh and spicy. The name "Oxygene" sounds somehow very aquatic and freshly floral, when in reality there's so much more to it.

This one is a bit quirky, but nothing too artsy or difficult to understand. It stays credible all the way, but it's not as lenient and easy-going as your regular fruity-florals. Uplifting and different. Someone who has an opinion, but wants your attention rather than slamming the statement in your face.

I think this is definitely an unisex fragrance.

luly109
