I find this flanker to be much more palatable than the original. The flowers are pretty, a bouquet to make one smile.

syarashin

This flanker definitely has the same vibe as most of light pink juices like Versace Bright Crystal, Dior Addict 2, and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, just to name a few. They are not quite similar but definitely share the same accords. I guess it’s the peony – fresh, light and floral. You can wear it to the office without offending anyone. You can also wear it to a casual dinner in summer or warmer spring.

Longevity on cloth is quite impressive considering its lightness. I could still smell it after a few hours of dabbing it on my sleeves but disappeared at the end of the day. I’m not complaining though as the smell stays the same and turned out to be a bit boring at this point. It didn't develop whatsoever. Maybe it would be different if sprayed on the skin. Sillage is minimal but I’m pretty sure it can go ‘louder’ when you overspray but I would refrain myself from doing so as it might be too heady and would trigger headache.

Although I have a strong affinity with the original La Vie Est Belle, this is entirely different from it. Flowers of Happiness is a lot more airy and much lighter. Fresh pears for its opening, then the peony accompanies it. Dry down is more musky as well.

This was one of the flankers I was never really keen on simply because it sounds nothing like the OG LVEB (which I love!) The comparisons to Chance Eau Tendre intrigued me because I own and adore Chance Eau Tendre but I didn’t really think I needed this. But then I received a sample of this, and of course I had to try it.

On first spray, all I got was green. Sharp and citrusy. After a little while I got the sparkly pink florals (think Versace Bright Crystal). Smelled very generic which is why I dismissed it.

But today I wore it again, right before I went to the gym. Just a tiny spritz on my wrist. I didn’t pay much attention to it, but when I walked out after a sweaty hour in the gym, I was greeted by the most beautiful whiff. Could have been the breeze. Could have been the calming blue of the nearby pool. Could have been the euphoria after working out, but I knew right there I would get myself a full bottle.

This isn’t one of those perfumes I’d go burying my nose in. It’s one of those perfumes you’ve got to let be. It’s perpetually hot where I live, which is why I think this would be perfect. I’m thinking a flowy flowery cami dress, sandals on my feet, my hair let loose. And this perfume. Ah, perfection.

If you like chance eau tendre you will like this. I'm realising that this kind of similar smelling perfume gives me a headache. Not sure which note it is that is causing this. But all this smell to me is like a mash of florals. It's super sweet and airy. It's actually not a bad smell and if I smell it on someone I would think it's pretty but on me it's cloying and cause nausea. This is an office safe perfume.

ScentedSuzanne

Flowers of Happiness is a watery, airy, fresh, fruity floral. It is completely inoffensive and office or church worthy. It's refreshing, and a little sweet. I imagine Dominique Ropion whispered, "La Vie Est Belle" in a ravishing French accent over the formula before bottling, but that would be the only waft of the OG in this fragrance. The scent is soft, and really very nice for those days when you just want to smell pretty, for yourself and those closest to you, and not necessarily stand out. This would be lovely to wear to a spring wedding, baby shower, or christening, or any event where you want to feel light and pretty. It would also serve beautifully as a bedtime fragrance, or to spray on over-tired children, because as it dries down it becomes wonderfully comforting. The more I wear it, the more I appreciate its tender aura.

This is an incredible dupe for Chanel's Chance eau Tendre EDP, which is "heavier" and much more floral than the beloved EDT.

If that's your fragrance preference, you'd love this scent. I personally have fallen in love with fragrances that are less "perfumey" and a bit watery/airy. Hoping to gift it to a family member because I already own CeT EDP 😔

I don't know why I am withdrawn to fresh scents lately
This has never been my taste for perfumes
Post traumatic pandemic disorder maybe 😊

Anyways
This is a very light fresh scent
Definitely on the floral side
I imagine the creator of this perfume took a dropper & added just one drop of the original LVEB in it

Over all it's a nice scent & doesn't develop as time goes by
Initial spray is same as dry down

If there is one downside to it
It would be the design of the bottle
Very chunky lookalike studs that makes it look like a duplicate & not an original lancome perfume

This one was love at first sniff for me! I would describe Flowers of Happiness as a powdery fresh fruity floral sort of shampoo-y scent, great for spring and daytime. The bottle with its pink juice is also super pretty and expensive-looking. Like the previous comments said, this is totally different from the original, but I love it for not beeing as sweet and heavy as LVEB. My bf got me the original because he loves that scent, but I found it too mature for me. I like fresh peony scents like Chanel Eau Tendre or Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and Flowers of Happiness is right up my alley. I understand that a lot of people don't love it as much as I do, as it is quite easy to find someone selling an almost new bottle online for half or even 1/3 of the original price (at least in Korea). It is not as long-lasting as LVEB but what I like to do is to layer them together, or pair Flowers of Happiness with another sweet scent, and that makes it last better

tirput

Flowers of Happiness smells like cheap hair salon on the first 3 minutes, then it develops into crisp green scent with a dash of transparant rose. As an avid LVEB wearer I feel betrayed because there's no resemblance with the DNA of the OG. That said if you're into fresh green-ish floral, you might want to try this. Don't feel intimidated by it being an LVEB flanker.

This fragrance is super light. I don’t detect any dna from the original. I’m new to swapping fragrances but if anyone is willing to swap this one I’ll be glad to do that. I recently just bought this second hand from someone on mercari.

adelaidesandrina

Smells similar to l’eclat and idole. I really like it! I find l’eclat and the original lveb to be too sweet, and i have to be in the mood to enjoy them both. Don’t get me wrong, i love them both. But flowers of happiness is an easier perfume to wear. Effortlessly chic! It’s fresh, crisp and has the right amount of sweetness. I find this rather similar to beautiful magnolia too. I also agree w/ the fact that this has nothing in common with LVEB.

ugress

smells very synthetic to me, like a bathroom refresher

Rose du soir

Not at all similar to La Vie Est Belle, those who expect a true La Vie Est Belle flanker with gourmand notes are going to be disappointed. This is a fresh musky fruity floral with aquatic tones, pretty similar to Versace Bright Crystal. It opens slightly stronger, and the pear note makes it very slightly sweeter in the dry down, but the differences are very subtle. The main differences are Flowers of Happiness' luxurious bottle, and unfortunately the price too. The 15 mL purse spray is much cheaper and looks almost as beautiful as the full bottle, but it seems like the fragrance is starting to be pulled off the shelves already. Lancôme's online store is the main distributor in Europe, and the fragrance can't be bought in physical stores. A lovely inoffensive perfume for Spring and Summer, that would make a nice gift.

imimsd12

This parfum. Blooms in the heat it's very beautiful .. I'm in love again

fleurdejuin

It smells of fresh peony and roses. There is definitely a sweet fruity note in here, so it's not completely floral. This does not smell like the original, which is actually good for me because I hate the original. It's a bit strong smelling to me though (but I'm sensitive to fragrances). If you like Dior Addict 2, Gucci Envy Me, Versace Bright Crystal, this might speak to you! Because smelling this perfume reminds me of those perfumes. But beware, they all feel very similar so you may not want to purchase this one because it might feel pointless.

sarah.brooks.1

Yes this is different and I love it so much so glad I own it.. very nice . ..for the cold holiday season..
Update.this is the cologne version of la vie est Belle nice

highbymybay

First of all, this smells nothing like La Vie Est Belle, not even close to any of the flankers- which is a little disappointing cause I adore the line so much- but I thought even if it doesn't smell like LVEB, I'd still be happy to add a new fresh floral bottle to my collection. However, first spray of it had me completely taken aback, I am no expert when it comes to perfume but something about it is just so off. It's very synthetic to my nose, I even get like powdery notes? (even though it's not listed) and overall just not so likable. It does get better after the drydown though, but still I don't think I'd keep it in my collection I'd probably trade it for another La vie est belle LOL

UtCal5rn

I got this from a friend who got it in a duty free shop during her Asia travels. This has nothing in common with the original La Vie Est Belle but rather it is a light and airy floral. Very fresh opening from the pear and then just pretty pink florals, primarily peony, that dry down to a light woody base. It's very pretty and inoffensive with its light sillage and moderate at best longevity. I think if you like perfumes like Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Burberry Brit Sheer, or Clinique Happy Heart then you would like this one. I do like it, but I really prefer my Blooming Bouquet and never reach for this one, so I don't really think I'll keep it in my collection.

ninab

This version was only released in Asia and Australia according to David Jones sales assistant.

NessS

Juicy and fruity to open then I get grassy freshly cut roses then a quite woody base. It's lovely but doesn't last very long - a skin scent after an hour and completely gone by 3 hours. It's really different to the original LVEB and flankers which I find synthetic and far too sweet. This one isn't really sweet at all.

sarah.brooks

Just received this beautifully exotic parfum today.. it's very different from the other it's not sweet it's very floral and juicy and musky look forward to enjoying this one.... it's pretty

I<3Perfume

There actually a new La Vie Est Belle En Rose. It's in a longer pinker bottle with a red bow. It has notes of Red Berries, Roses and Praline. In the ad Julia Robert's has a pink dress. I already have it. You can see the image on my default.

I<3Perfume

It's available here in Tokyo. From what I know this and Miracle Secret are an Asia exclusive. Kinda like what Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet was its first 5 years. It suits Asian taste so it's meant to not be sweet. If it is related then it carries more of Eclats DNA but way more floral.

shinayu

I saw this in David Jones in Chatswood today. Looks quite new to me. I smelt it and it smells like a sweet safe floral that is mass appealing definitely shares the same DNA as LVEB if not sweeter in terms of fruity floral.

asianlover

This perfume has NOTHING to do with La Vie Est Belle. Which is quite sad IMO :( why starting something totally different under a well-known family line? For the profit maybe? Absolutely disappointing :(
This indeed is a very generic, soft sillage, sweetish rose fragrance with some 5 minutes pear freshness in the beginning.
I know the ingredients were public but still I was expecting the LVEB DNA. Every other flanker has it to some extent at least.
This reminds me a little bit of Dior Joy (character wise). Anybody who was expecting an interesting new flanker, a rich gourmand with roses will be seriously disappointed I guess... No wonder Lancôme doesn't dare to release this in Europe or in the US...

sawunyas

Im have bought this one this very sofe and not long lasting on my skin very sad with this version 6/10"more La vie est bell e'clat

Carpe Noctem

Thank you Sarah. My Nordstrom knew nothing about it today. It seems like a bad time to release it that close to Christmas here. What were they thinking!

sarah.brooks

I talked to the lancome rep...and she told me that they were going to launch this lovely parfum dec.16 2018 in the US

Carpe Noctem

I just got an update. Bad news. This was designed solely for Asian markets. I don't know if we'll be seeing it in other countries. :(

jellybeantree

They have to stop with the flankers ! I can’t keep up anymore ! Flowers of happiness?? Oh man they are running out of ideas ......

sarah.brooks

The count down is on... I like the whole collection from La vie est Belle and counting bring it on.

nadiadncr

@javamdnss thank you for providing this information. Sad that we have to wait that long in the US to get a sniff...

Carpe Noctem

@Flowersnmusk-it won't be coming out until almost Christmas. It's supposed to be a part of this huge promotion during the Holidays. At least in the U.S.

Flowersnmusk

When will Flowers of Happiness be available? Right now it is only for sale at some remote airport, Changi, wherever that is. Very strange to launch a fragrance at only one place.

GGLiCious

OMG!!! Rose??? Is this the first LVEB with rose notes, isn't it??? Finally.... Can't wait to try this version... Hope this will be my first love of LVEB...

Kon-nos91

It will be an extremely fresh twist of their best seller! I hate LVEB EDP & EDT, I really can't stand smelling them anymore, EVERYWHERE, but...there's always a but, I used to like a lot Florale EDT edition (which seems like they remove it silently from the market) and now this!! I have high expectations for the 'Flowers of Happiness'. Lancome makes masterpieces and never let down it's fans when it comes to lasting power and sillage!!!

This is what I am praying for. I love rose, peony and musky base combination with a good lasting power, this is what I am looking for when it comes to a refreshing scent (see Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet with 0 sillage after an hour) but I'm afraid it would be a bit more sweet than it should. By knowing Lancome's notes I am 90% sure it won't be far away from the original 'sirupy' character but I am trully curious. Pear can't be strong enough and sandalwood is a bit 'new' to their game.

Soon the review will be updated, don't hate me cause I dislike La vie est belle, none can say that it's not a masterpiece for every single age & woman but Jesus, smelling it everywhere and from everyone makes it less unique so enjoy your summer for now and don't forget your sunblock xoxo

sarah.brooks

Can't wait to smell this..nice lancome

huda_jubail

The notes seem interesting, this flanker seems to be a powdery rosy fragrance I guess.
I wonder why they chose the exact shaped bottle of LVEB L'ECLAT version??
