La Mia Perla by La Perla is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. La Mia Perla was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Honorine Blanc.

LA MIA PERLA is the new "pillar" of La Perla collection, the first SOLARORIENTAL composition signed by perfumer Honorine Blanc. She did an amazing job in collaboration with Julia Haart, creative director of La Perla, bringing to life a fragrance full of joy with sophisticated gourmand notes and solar flowers which is exciting, vibrant and extremely seductive.

The bottle and packaging are also amazing; La Perla is playing with geometry and 3D effects in the most tantalizing way. The unique bottle design symbolizes the roundness of the composition and its creation - the scent "does not have a pyramidal structure," says the brand. It also represents a woman's personality and the perfume's application on her neck, wrist and body - very erotic and tempting, marking the roundness of the whole concept of this new La Perla perfume and the brand itself.

The La Mia Perla scent abandons the classic fragrance pyramid structure in favour of a circular, pearl-shaped composition, resulting in one rich symphony that is both infinite and unchanging. Belonging to an innovative fragrance family named Solariental, La Mia Perla is defined by luminosity and creaminess, with notes that combine to create an olfactive portrait of movement. Sparkling Mandarin and White Pepper drive the hypnotic floral core defined by Jasmine Sambac and White Peony. Meanwhile, heavy, texturizing Orris harmonises the floral balance, as the qualities of Silky Suede and Ambrox enrich the white notes. Beneath this, Sandalwood and Muscenone (very powerful musk with two facets, slight animals) bring a muskiness that lifts the composition.

30, 50 and 100 ml EDP.

The Scentimentalist

The liquid in the bottle has turned into a dark pink shade and I wonder if that causes the musk to smell a little sharp on me. Anyway, it is a soft powdery and subtly seductive scent. So gentle and cuddly.

Acid210

This one is special to me personally. I wore this during a Phase of major life-changes.
Without looking at the notes, this basically smells like a cashmere jumper that has just been washed with the most luxurious fabric conditioner. NOTHING comes even close to this scent, it's so different from everything out there. There's a slight medicinal/strawberry cough syrup smell when you first spray this bit it goes away within few seconds and this just smells warm & comforting... like a hug from the kindest person you know! lol
It's warm, cashmere, musk, sandalwood and tiny bit of powderyness.

Sadly, another discontinued masterpiece.

Coriemulvey

This is the coziest frag ever to exist.. it is similar to white iris.. but white iris is more of a heliotrope & violet floral scent while this one leans more warm with sandalwood in the drydown (not the modern pickled kind)

Zethre

If you are trying to source an alternate, Sorriso by Profumum Roma is very very similar.

Fresh Wildflowers

I have the body lotion and I love it! I wear it mainly to bed. It is super comforting and reminds me of a sunscreen my mom used to wear in the 70s... such a nice scent!

SalinasL

I would caution anyone wearing La Mia Perla for the first time to start with the smallest amount possible, as I find the sweet powderiness gets cloying really fast if oversprayed. To me, this is in a similar vein to Narciso Poudree and, like that one, I enjoy this better by catching the scent intermittently and in open air. So while I do agree it has that sort of vintagey classic makeup powder/dressing table feel that people are associating with bedtime, it’s too heavy for bedtime for me. At one time my brain associated this with Katharine Ross in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (don’t ask me why... maybe the suede?) and I like it for that, for the times I want to smell like a natural beauty wearing a basic scented powder and saddling up a horse.

KateWest

One of the most addictive smelling fragrances I own. I can't get enough of this! It smells like a powdery, slightly waxy, sandalwood/iris cream soda. I could die smelling this. 😍

Coriemulvey

This is a gorgeous soft scent but I’m telling you, it’s very similar to This is Her by Zadig and Voltaire, you definitely do not need both! This is Her is more gourmand while this one is slightly fresher and more powdery. They are both gorgeous scents that you might not love at first.. but you will grow to love.

Noveight

This smells like a very expensive nail polish remover. I like it but it has a very synthetic quality to it. It’s a nice musk that isn’t animalic. Good powdery bedtime scent. Can’t see myself using it any other occasion as it sits close to the skin and reminds me of bedtime.

TexasOrangeBlossom

My top 2 favorite bedtimes scents are Prada Candy and La Mia Perla. Both are comfortably wearable for sleeping, but still present in the morning. La Mia is such a nice, cozy, clean smell. Suitable for environments that aren’t normally perfume friendly.

kievar

This is a VERY soft, powdery skin scent. Sits so close to the skin that it’s hard to get a good whiff. It smells like melted vanilla ice cream. However, there’s something really synthetic about this fragrance that’s nauseating to me…

annasarahr121

La Mia Perla is a pretty, musky, woody, powdery scent, but has poor longevity. I picked up White Iris, not realizing how close they are to each other; maybe White Iris is a teeny bit more floral (heliotrope)-almond-y, but they are very close, to my nose, at least. I love White Iris, plus the lasting power is superior (4-5 hours as opposed to 1 1/2 hours), so I'll be keeping that one and giving La Mia Perla to my daughter.

mirrorghost

this is mostly sandalwood, orris and musk on me. it's one of those soft, powdery comfort scents. the florals are very very subtle here. it gets even better over time. this is one of those perfumes i'd wear when i want calm...might be good as a bedtime scent too.

Agnes81

Oh, this is a really beautiful cheapie. Smells way more expensive than it is. A succesful blind buy.

On my skin it is mostly orris, sandalwood, musk, sweet flowers - and a nice creamy vanilla/tonka in the dry down. I don't get much suede/leather at all. If you love soft, creamy, powdery scents you will like this.

It could work year round - except for the hottest of days - day or night. It has good longetivity but doesn't project much.

WifeyPink

Absolutely loving this as a bedtime scent. I prefer the dry down it's not as baby powder smelling. I don't usually like these types of scents but dang it's cozy and comforting on a stormy night.
**UPDATE I just got my second bottle and the body lotion.. ppl having longevity issues should pickup the lotion to layer. & I also have This is her but totally disagree that these 2 are too similar to have both. They're both cozy Yes but way different vibes :)

RetroPickle

It's not bad but I blind bought it based on raves. Very underwhelming and barely lasts on the skin. Like a faint whisper of vanilla, powder, and musk. I do like the bottle though !

Ceabloo

Blind buy instant regret! Chemical mess! I bought it based on the wonderful reviews hoping for soft feminine wonder, this is completely opposite!
It starts with loud scream of bathroom cleaner , not blended at all. soft notes trying to surface but the blast of tart starch kills it !
I have a new bottle, if anyone what’s your swap !

étoilesdejasmin

Absolutely adore.. however, does not last and does not project. Pure skin scent.

eelii

I have a 30ml bottle of La Mia Perla that I got back in 2017 when it first came out. I loved how feminine and intimate this fragrance was and used to wear it every day. I still could smell it on my wrist at the end of the working day, even though only very close to the skin (but for the job I had back then, this was the better option).
It was very powdery but elegant and sophisticated.

I tried it on a few days ago and again today (I still have a little bit of this “old” bottle) and unfortunately it doesn’t smell the same. I can still get a feeling of what it used to be, but it’s less powdery and also less unique. I thought it was my skin chemistry that changed after two pregnancies, but reading the reviews below I think it might have turned. That’s too bad, as I used to love it and it was such a special fragrance to me.

I’m also not sure it this was discontinued, as I couldn’t find it in store but I can still see it online on a few websites. Still, I’m not sure I will repurchase it because I’m afraid it would turn again.
I guess I will keep the beautiful memory I have of La Mia Perla and move on to other fragrances.

downtomars13

Soft powdery sensual cozy fragrance. Very light and lovely. Makes you feel like slipping into some satin lipstick lingerie :p

Blind buy win!!!

Suuuuch a gorgeous gorgeous perfume! Complex yet linear. I was thinking it over again and again but I'm so glad I added this to my cart on the last minute. A delicious powdery scent. I cannot stop smelling myself. I do own another "musky/powdery" frag (Santal Blanc Van Cleef & Arpels) that'sa lot more woody and slightly boozy but La Mia Perla has it's own thing going. Definitely sets the question "how could you go wrong with anything La Perla makes?"

MrsLang

When you're in the powder room getting ready for bed - this is that scent. Powdery, clean, and very feminine.

perfumesniffer

almost fell for the hype, so glad I only bought a mini.

if you’ve ever had Donna Karan cashmere mist in EDP then you basically know what this is. yes, also similar to Guerlain L’Instant Magic.

La Mia Perla is ALL about powdery musk with a dash of violet. Pretty, simple and pleasant. But you must love powder.

Siv7Stars

I second Kylix, my bottle of this has also turned n doesn't smell right at all now, nothinng like when I first got it. I don't know if La Perla still make this but if it's discontinued I would not bother chasing it now, it will likely be a dud. I keep all my stuff in boxes in a cool dark place so this is just one of those that you can't keep I'm afraid.

Mikaprika

Very nice scent, femm, sensual and gentile. This is scent for house... to dress up nice for your man and put the smile. Its scent for secret lover. It's scent for sensual night
It's not scent for outside....

Kylix

I bought this 18 months ago and I think it turned and went waste :( I smell nail varnish and nothing else. So sad, 'cause I loved it the first time I smelled it

mimircks

After asking my fragrance group for their opinions on La Mia Perla & getting mixed - mostly negative - reviews, she arrived & first spray reminded me of....something I have - and LOVE... Sprayed it again 1/2 hour later... and it reminds me of my sensual, incensey RAGHBA!! NOT at alllll what I anticipated for this one. I was expecting a lighter, more "pearls/iris/white handkerchief" scent, but I don't DISLIKE it - I was just expecting something else. That out of the way, I do love this scent - as I just loooove RAGHBA. I haven't tested it's sillage, but it MAY need to reapply later. So if you like Raghba, you don't NEED this one. (So strange how this is the SAME as Raghba, tho). If you have these 2 fragrances, please do a side-by-side & see if they are similar to you.

386Vintage

Love the bottle. Nice scent.

AlaskanAngel

I find this an easy unisex fragrance on the softer side. If you like skin scents for your own pleasure or for those close to you, this is charmingly seductive. It's smoothness makes it very unusual at this price point. Slightly sweet, creamy, clean... round and well blended, the scent is both calming and uncommon. You'll also find comfort in the knowledge that few others have discovered this sleeping gem. I think this would be a great signature scent and I am delighted that I bought the biggest bottle I could find.

UPDATE
This is a bit too sweet on me. I started reaching for Sunny Side Up instead as that one is more woody and a touch less sweet. Decluttered.

Dissolved_Mind

La Mia Perla is a wonderful, very sensual perfume that smells way more expensive than it actually is. I was expecting a feminine powdery fragrance and that's exactly what I've got. People describe it as a bed time scent, but I honestly see it being suitable for any occasion. Especially a date. It opens with soft orris, vanilla, musk, and maybe flowers? Everything is blended so well that it's hard to tell notes apart. But what I smell the most is powder and vanilla. I don't really detect suede though. It's deeper and a little more mature than I expected, but it's not heavy. It radiates pure woman energy and I love it. Makes me feel fancy!

Dreamdott

At first.. my nose was so confused. I think thats because I don't own too many fragrances with suade, Orris and white pepper. I gave this a week and slowly but surely im starting to really appreciate this! I feel like it would definitely shine in the fall. Morning or night. And its definitely very cozy and welcoming. Sweet and slightly sexy. This is romantic. Not a passionate romantic but a soft heartwarming love kind of romantic. The vanilla is always present and the mandarin orange is oh so so very light. Most of my favorite fragrance notes are in here so this is a great introduction to suede. Though Im not sure what orris root is. The musk and sandalwood make this a slightly powdery vanilla fragrance.

Edit: for swap. Its nice but the suade is throwing me off

LittleMsCharming

So I come into my bedroom, and since most of my fragrance collection lives there, I always get lingering whiffs of something or other. Tonight I come in and smell a gorgeous creamy powdery sweet scent in the air. It reminds me of sooo many things I've tried before--Iris Torréfié by Guerlain, Sublime Vanille by Creed, Reminiscence Guimauve, Chanel Misia, even Jo Malone Sweet Milk, but none of them quite click... then I remember that two nights ago I sprayed my nighty with a sample of La Mia Perla. What can I tell you? It's delightful, the drydown is absolutely gorgeous, luxuriously soft and feminine. One of my latest obsessions.

Zethre

Bought from allbeauty, very good value at only £20!
I have to overspray this to smell it, but once I've done that it's quite noticeable and lasts hours and hours.
Beautiful sensuous cosy scent, soft powdery iris, in a warm skin or a really good lambswool jumper type way, but without the woodiness often found in actual cashmere scents.
It's quite unlike any other scent I have. I don't get anything unpleasant at the start as others have reported, it's just fab for hours. Quite linear, but interesting enough that I don't mind that.

StinkyTinky

Hmmmm...so...not what I was expecting. Not bad at all, but it’s showing more restraint than I was hoping. It starts with an alcoholic blast- can’t tell if it’s a booze note, or the substance of the alcohol content. But that experience is short lived. Now I’m getting a close to the skin musky vanilla. The suede quality is present, or maybe a deep cozy cashmere- but I have to bury my nose to get there.
However, I have a few perfumes like this in my collection (looking at you D&G pour femme) that my nose had to get used to in order for me to interpret all of the layers.
The longer it sits, the more pleasant it’s getting...

Edit: Now I’m getting the dry sandalwood that’s also in estee lauder sensuous.
Overall this fragrance is much more vanillic. I’d say this is 75% satine by Lalique, 10% EL sensuous and the remaining 15% a smooth suede/cashmeran.

middle25

What a wonderful blind buy! La Mia Perla has so much to offer - powdery, satiny, musky, sweet and very feminine. I don't know about the solar notes, but I think I understand the rounded composition in the description. I get some pepper, orris, jasmine, peony, and the musk. This is intimate, a skin scent for me and it's limited on its longevity. I usually get about 4 hours out of it, so while I'd love to love it, I only like it. However, I give it high marks for its scent, affordability, and versatility - I wear it year-round and don't find much difference between the seasons and believe it can be worn day or night. Just lovely!

Joani_Cheddar

3 little angels all dressed in white, tried to get to heaven on an end of a kite, but the kite string broke and down they all fell and instead of going to heaven they all went to... make this perfume. A fantastic introduction to powder musk perfume. This is baby cherubs, fluffy clouds, cuddle bunnies and stars twinkling. A very nice soft, sweet like, precious fragrance with a nice silage - good good.

TexasOrangeBlossom

If Fragrantica had a bedtime option, instead of just day or night, this would get a bedtime vote from me. It’s a great cuddly bedtime scent!

gtabasso

a lovely powdery soft musky cuddle in a bottle with ambroxan, a little pepper, a hint of peony and sandalwood, very little

marios2014

It was a blind buy and successful I would say! At first you get an alchoholic liquer vibe ,after a few minutes starts to show a milky sweet powdery scent but not overally sweet but soft cozy and lactonic and powedery scent.Definately worth the hype ,because its very cheap ,it has good longevity and excellent sillage. I had many compliments!!you can wear it all year round.

SeauxGood

La Mia Perla is a cozy sweet scent good for cooler weather. It’s what I like to call a sweater-and-scarf scent. I get a lot of the musk note, with peony and jasmine rounding it out. The leather and a creamy sandalwood accord are also noticeable. I don’t get much of the mandarin, but I’m not sure it’s needed here. I’m also not getting the powdery quality I was expecting from the orris root. Instead it’s creamy, almost lactonic. Something about this reminds me of plain sweet cream ice cream. There’s a sweetness without the cloying quality that notes like vanilla, tonka bean, praline, etc., can sometimes have.

It dries down very pleasantly. Super feminine, but not frivolous or girlish. It’s blended well enough to still appeal to a more sophisticated woman. It also has a balance that makes it wearable on just about any occasion (work, weekend, dress-up, dress-down), maybe even as a signature scent if you’re into sweeter fragrances. I’m trying it (and quite enjoying it) on a relatively cool November night, but I would be leery of wearing this during the Summer. Seems like the kind of fragrance that could get “loud” in warmer temperatures.

greenbluegray

Knowing this was by Honorine Blanc made me willing to blind buy -- and also the cheap Ebay price, less than $20 for a full ounce. I don't smell the solar but do get the cashmere, which I don't like too much if heavy (too lotiony), but this is well blended with a deft hand. I get a few boozy vanilla notes which settle down right away. Could work for men or women. Smells like a cozy sweater to me, maybe mohair or something. Lasts but is not big. Where is the intense version??? Lol.

I could not figure out how the bottle worked from the picture. The circular part is indented on both sides, with the front indent in a gold color. Cool bottle, a bit of an optical illusion, with an interesting juxtaposition of square and circular.

Thank you, Fragranticas, for all the great and tempting descriptions!

MiniMena

This is perfect for fall and winter. So soft and cozy. On me it smells almost a bit like cinnamon with whipped cream. I love the musk in the drydown. The longevity and projection are pretty good.Great blind buy.

Holli

I can't really say this is special, but it's so well done that it's everything. I love orris and this plays to it so nicely. Orris! Yum. If you like Naughty Remix but want a less britney take, try this.

gpaisley

La Mia Perla is a beautiful soft, creamy, rounded, powdery perfume that reminds me of Victoria's Secret HEAVENLY and Donna Karan CASHMERE MIST as well as Emporio Armani LEI.
It also reminds me a little bit of Victoria's Secret AMBER ROMANCE.

countrynoodle

Another successful blind buy. This is so lovely. This is how I imagined Marilyn Monroe to smell like. It's hyper feminine soft fluffy florals that dries down to super sweet musky woods. It very cozy yet VERY sexy at the same time. It almost smells like a mixture of someone's clean laundry and their shampoo/conditioner. Like when I wear this it seems like I should just naturally smell like this. Its airy and light but still noticeable as I've gotten compliments every time I've worn this. The lasting power is also decent, it gets me through a few hours at work. Its reasonably priced so I don't mind throwing it in my purse and respraying throughout the day. Very glad I picked this up!

miaxvii

I sprayed this and smelled absolutely nothing at first.... I really thought I was duped lol. After 10 mins, I could smell a VERY light powder almost floral scent. Definitely a skin scent so I would not recommend if you like to stand out. I am a person that likes stronger fragrances and I can still appreciate this.

branda324

It might be my favorite $20 range perfume atm. Sensual sweet musk, slightly powdery. Dry down is absolutely beautiful. Very soft, inviting, intimate, and sexy. It’s one of those very simple but totally joyful things that you should add to your life. If you’re a musk lover, do yourself a favor and buy this today, so you can wear this to sleep on a weekend.

muneerah

Very nice wearable musky warm with a bit of 90’s vibes loooove it , i got 4-5 hours on skin in August heat 😍

pleasuretoburn

Smells absolutely gorgeous, but does not last very long at all. I am not a longevity/performance snob, but I was still surprised to see that it doesn't last long on me at all. It isn't a very powerful scent to begin with, but it fades down to skin scent rather quickly, then to nothing within the space of just a few hours. That said, I like the scent enough to keep wearing it, maybe just around the house or to bed. I think it would be a very nice bedtime scent, since it's warm, smooth, and comforting. It could also be a lingerie scent as well, I think, but perhaps I am just reaching since La Perla is a lingerie manufacturer. The bottle is simply gorgeous, very feminine and alluring, and well-made as well. The whole presentation is nice, so it is sad that the performance doesn't quite reach the level of artistry that the scent and the packaging have. I will try layering it, since the base notes are very pretty and it could soften some harsher scents, so I will be keeping it and using it, I just wish it could stick better on my skin.

876Beauty

La Mia opens as a spicy (I'm guessing it's the white pepper), sweet musk and dries down to a soft powdery vanilla...I like the dry down more but it does not last a long time. This fragrance remind me of a muskier, warmer version of Lacoste pour femme, if that's your jam, you will like this too. Many people consider this fragrance sensual but I disagree, it's for those who wants to smell good but also smell natural. The sillage on this fragrance is also not strong.

kbgirl19

smells almost exactly like kenzo amour to me. very much like baby wipes. not a fan

bintTapputi

Very light powdery vanillic fragrance. Very soft musk. Hardly noticeable at all after 30 minutes. Perfect for the ladies who like a skin scent to just smell clean. 5/10

Kathryn J.

It would be hard NOT to like this. It’s simply a lovely musky smell, very feminine and soft. It would be good for the office. I find it to be long lasting and my clothes smell good the next day. I use it liberally as it’s not a “bomb.” It smells the same at the end of the day as it did when you applied it. I feel very girly when I wear it. If I would compare it to anything it would be Sarah Jessica Parker’s “Lovely.” They’re different but in the same family of soft, feminine, musky fragrances. This one’s a real winner for me. I really enjoy wearing it! Oh, and it’s a plus that every time I wear it, my husband compliments me!

—}—@ darlingbud

Sprayed LMP tonight not having used it in a year and my first thought was Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP tho’ they are not alike. Surprised a reviewer below had the same feeling. Hm. I suspect the magic of this one for me is the orris, which gives LMP’s solar qualities an earthiness and lifts it out of mundane lemon biscotti territory.

cgt991

I’m definitely going to offend some people here, but I really don’t like this. To me it smells like a mix between a perfume my grandma would wear, and sickly sweet medicine. Maybe it’s just my skin, but I don’t think this is really something I’d associate with anyone under 60.

mareeefrag

I bought a small bottle blindly. It's subtle, watery and warm. A suntan, solar scent, like warm skin. I smell amber, coconut, sandalwood, cashmere, musk, soft rubbery vanilla, soft white florals and pepper. It has a rice pudding vibe, edible, in a salty, sweet, vanilla, black pepper way. There's a suede note.
It is pretty and unique (to my collection). In the same vein as Eau Duelle (Diptyche) and American Cream (Lush).

100ml of Sass

Fluffy pink marshmallows, sweet comforting cuddles, relaxing cozy evenings with a loved one in a bottle. It definitely smells like there's some vanilla or tonka bean in there. This was probably the most successful blind buy for me. LOVE!

10/10

Is it true that this is being discontinued? :(

Kathryn J.

Love, Love, LOVE! This was a blind buy and at first I thought “meh, just ok.” But, wow! About the third time I wore it, I realized that it’s magic. They are right. It doesn’t change over the time you wear it. What you spray is what you get. It smells natural, if natural is sexy, alluring and cozy. It has great longevity. Your clothes smell good the next day! I have TONS of fragrance. This is a new fave. And I have nothing else like it. Very unusual scent. Did I say LOVE?

Itstartedwithtinkerbell

This is unique and very pretty. I blind bought a full bottle based off of things I read and YouTube reviews. I’m glad I did! One YouTube reviewer referred to this as her very favorite “nude fragrance”, and I agree with calling it nude. If it was a color, it would be a simple pinkish nude, muted. At first sniff, I was disappointed because it was different than I had imagined...but it’s better. I know Vanilla isn’t listed, it must be the Amber I’m picking up; but my nose reads it like a really warm, completely NOT sweet vanilla. Overall, I experience this scent as an opening of unsweetened vanilla and white pepper, followed by a brief smoke (campfire) note that fades away, and I am left with a surprisingly pronounced woody note. Not quite to pencil-shavings territory, but really close. It’s warm, sexy, close to the skin, and definitely woody in the best possible way. It reminds me a little bit of my Boyfriend by Kate Walsh, except that one is sweeter and boozy. But they could be distant cousins. I picture myself reaching for this a lot. Editing to add that I definitely pick up some type of animalistic note...just warm skin. It’s really nice.

UnearthlyApothecary

This reminds me a bit of the girly pink Lalique Satine and also the ISO E heavy suede/musk bomb Lacoste Pour Femme. this is like the best parts of both of those in one. This is very synthetic in the best way, in the case of this perfume, synthetic does not mean cheap it is actually the best use of modern synthetic perfume molecules that I have tried recently. That thickness from the ISO E with the musks and smooth suede, it’s fabulous. Sueded baby powder. This a very textured scent, the perfume equivalent of a pink wool blanket. Soft, cozy, fluffy. The silage isn’t too loud but I’m not sure you would want it to be, it wears close and comforting.

indigo

I think there’s vanilla in this. La Mia is creamy, powdery sweet & soft woody musk .. & it smells “pink”. Like pink marshmallow, & vanilla milkshake. In the early stages it reminds me of those pastel coloured sugared almonds., almost a little bit nutty. I can also smell a really nice (but fleeting) iris note in the opening - which I really wish would stick around a bit longer. Also smells very clean, I cannot smell Ambroxan or anything “chemical” here, Although it is sweet, it’s not syrupy saccharine sweet. Dry down is linear but very smooth & creamy. It s a pity it doesn’t retain the interesting top notes for a little bit longer, that really would take it to a whole other level (just imho).

It’s in a similar vein to Narciso in the white cube. I’m doing a side by side & Narciso smells much more soapy floral in comparison, imo. I actually prefer this to Narciso, but it does not project as much. La Mia is very pleasant & pretty. The nice packaging & bottle represent the scent perfectly. I do like this - & it only cost me £16 from the bargain box at The Perfume Shop :) Probably discontinued?

OceanPlusEarth

the scent "does not have a pyramidal structure," says the brand. It also represents a woman's personality and the perfume's application on her neck, wrist and body - very erotic and tempting, marking the roundness of the whole concept of this new La Perla perfume and the brand itself.

Marketing branding - ie telling you what to think rather than what you actually experience.

It is musky. It is rose. Erotic and tempting? Gotta ask the smeller if he is aroused and tempted.

Perfumedsecrets

I blind bought it for about $26. Tested on paper it barely smells of anything. Sometimes scents need the warmth of your skin to bloom. It smells like sweet warm musk with something unique that's not in other perfumes. Comfortable and calming, and sexy warm skin. Update: I grew to like this a lot. It's a good one for being at home or snuggling on the couch with your SO. Love the bottle too. This is a "you smell good" perfume as opposed to "your perfume smells good".

MsLittlejohn

Why is there no vanilla note listed? Praline, sugar or something sweet? I really loved the bottle and at first spray onto a card, thought I would like this perfume. I blind bought it based on reviews, way too sweet for me, though. It's pretty, but just not my taste. I did get compliments from men, but I find men like sweet scents. And cookies and cake by nature! LOL! So, I'd say, perfect for a lingerie line. I traded it.

craftymaya

I am sorry to say that I just don't like it. There is a kind of "metallic" note that is just very unpleasant to my nose. Happy to see that many people enjoy it. Simply not for me.

This is a true gem and yes it has been discontinued.I cannot find it anywhere I have a small bottle which is nearly empty and would love to get some more of this beautiful sexy fragrance.Fragrantica just added the new version though called La Mia Perla Nera which I am eager to try.

Glückskind

I think this beauty is discontinued!
Many Shops in Europe dont sell it anymore :(

Soft, creamy, white flowers, with buttery suede.
A hint of dreamy musk, skin but better,
cosy and sexy same time...

masako_30

La Mia Perla is my crystal ball. I ask for warmth or tenderness, and it offers it to me. I like to linger with my nose on the cap before I spray it.
It releases magic.
On my skin La Mia Perla is fondant, I can taste it slowly.
This 'pearl' is worth far more than I paid for it. The saleswoman was relieved of having got rid of it, nobody wanted it.
I can't believe instead I found such a marvel in this little bottle, with a scent so creamy like warm and deliciously scented skin. Mine is a suggestion to try it.

Jacquis

Mia Perla is a warm cozy perfume in sub 80 degree weather. Above 90, it becomes a suffocating amber bomb. I still love this perfume but it will have to be a sub 80 degree scent for me.

delightme5

Dont bother with a test card, this needs skin because that is essentially what La Mia Perla is an extension of - your skin. You will think of it as a soft nothing BARE fragrance especially on card and or if you just put a squirt on your wrist. It will pale fast.

This needs a good lot of tiny type sprays all over your body then get dressed. It seems to then get to work with your skin warmth. Yes its nude its musky. It is reminiscent of things like armani lei, naomagic, cashmere mist and other various types of natural creamy pinky beige musky nudes. Its nice and its there in a soft floating "im wearing a few sheer veils only " kind of way.
You may even find yourself on the recieving end of
"Oh you smell nice - fresh and clean nice"

Definitely has that sexy soapy shower clean feel extension - Thats a green light for anyone to use it.
Dont expect layers of spectacular-ism. Do enjoy that heightened sense of self as it morphs into and shows another dimension of your cleanliness for a while.

ViouAmara

This fragrance is the ambery smell of warm skin, the tactile sweetness. There is no false note, the perfume has no big sillage, but it is not made for this purpose.
It's the fragrance of simple intimacy, the smell of the neck, the pulse of the elbow, and maybe some nudity without makeup.
It is light and yet it is Very nice. It manages to be slightly erotic without being provocative.

L'Grace

I picked this up blind at Marshalls the other day because I love the brand and the packaging was so fantastic. I'm so glad I did! The scent is powdery and had softness that one would want in a feminine offering. It starts with slight citrus and floral note but on me it smells an awful lot like Guess Indigo 1981 as you hit the middle and the base notes. I find this so odd because the stated profiles of both don't show overlap that I can see and when you spray them on clothes or paper they are vastly different. I will keep this in the rotation as a go to scent for daytime wear.

DulciusExAsperis

A soft, musky, super pink vanilla powdery puff. No honestly this is "fluffy pink powder puff" put into scent form.

Or more specifically if I imagine a woman, retro but not necessarily dated, who swans about in satin robes and has multiple pairs in her walk-in closet of those high heeled slippers that have floofy feathery straps across the top...

this is the smell of the steam that emanates from her pink bath that she draws for herself at nighttime.

It's cozy and musky and creamy and powdery and ultra, ultra-feminine.

I find this a little addictive and I can't stop smelling it but I almost feel like it's *too* feminine and pretty for me, like this is the scent that a beautiful blonde starlet would wear in the 1950's but I'm more of the trouser-wearing whiskey-drinking lady reporter type.

It doesn't feel at all like me but I still like it.

This perfume is hard to describe, very close to the conceptual description. It does stay some what linear, but of course eventually the mandarin and flowers fade, and we are left with a musk with a hint of sandalwood. It is extremely cozy and down to earth beautiful feeling to me. I have to say for my Husband it’s a huge turn on, so if you want something sensual I think it’s made so a Mans pulse and desire will quicken even if you as a Lady don’t find it superiorly sexy. I wish all musk smelled as good as this one dries down to. This is not a cheap musk fragrance or comparable to another musk I own. It’s high quality. Very happy with the purchase, got lucky it was a bargain buy for me at Marshall’s. On me the dry down truly is amazing, and I’m in Florida. It was 80 degree spring day.

Jacquis

Very comforting, warm and cozy scent. Must be the musk and sandalwood. I can smell the amber slightly in the drydown. Very pleasant fragrance with above average performance. Would be suitable for any season because it has a freshness alongside the musk. I enjoy wearing it to bed as well.
I wore this perfume today in 78 degree Florida weather. It was wonderful! This performed very well in the heat. Can't wait to wear in the summer weather.

This is is such a lovely musk. It's perfectly powdery, vanilla-sweet, and a touch salty, which really makes the composition special for me. It's warm and cozy and the type of scent I would spray before going to bed or any time I want something comforting. There's a lovely, soft projection for the first two hours that transforms into a beautiful skin scent. I get all day longevity and it lasts forever when sprayed on clothes. I've been wearing it for the past week and it's really grown on me. Every time I catch a whiff of La Mia Perla I can't help but smile. I enjoy it so much.

bpisculli01

This perfume is very interesting, and I bought it for my daughter but every time she used it, I was intrigued because I loved the scent so I bought a bottle for myself. It is definitely feminine, and opens with almond and powder. I would wear this as a day perfume - to work or play as it is not overbearing but lingers. I don't smell lavender or lilac with this perfume, but there is an undercurrent of soft musk and wood. I happen to love powder/wood combinations, so this is a keeper for me. Very easy to wear - not too bold and I continue to catch the fragrance on my skin and clothes for hours. I would describe it as both sexy and feminine, and will wear it often.

Renatafrascassi

Sexy, feminine, cosy, carefree, but not unserious. La Perla is actually producer of luxury lingerie and similar products, and the fragrance line is their side activity. With La mia Perla they succeded in creating seducing and - at least for me - very enjoyable, lovely scent for grownup women which I cannot put down. I feel this is not in the league of big, artistic perfumes, made to make longlasting impression and radiate elegance or sophistication. But still, I am very happy for having La mia Perla in my (not so big) collection. As well, it reminds me of Italy, where I travel every year, and encapsulates everything that I love about that country. Sun, heat, warm nights, intensity of life, their men and women, bars, streets filled with happy crowd chatting and laughing.

Babieluv

This was a blind buy for me, notes were up in my alley, loved the bottle, was intrigued by this solar composition and words of the nose behind fragrance. Luckily I could find small bottle for a very decent price. Well, it's nice and lovely. It's very musky and woody and I don't get any powder vibe. I could see wearing this for a date night in colder months. I know this was suppose to be a fragrance for powerful and feminine woman, but I can actually see a man wearing it as well, man who can pull off sweet, musky scents. Packaging is indeed stunning in person. It's not a love from me, but it's def like.

Ivanqa

How cute!
Soft and creamy vanilla, very feminine.
Yes if you like vanilla, white flowers and musk that stays fresh.

1nov

soft , feminine , lovely . I like it very much .

Virginnose

This is my first ever review. And how we perceive the world so differently. Some smell simple soap others simply smell..well heaven! This is my new love. I have many..this will be with me for a very long time. My skin absorbs and projects the softness. It settles as it begins. That might in the end be “simple” but to me overwhelmingly comforting.

MindyMe

I love your review MeganD - a gorgeous, hugely expensive cashmere sweater!
Oh this is beautiful! Really beautiful, soft and creamy, no synthetics or anything overwhelming to me. A perfectly natural and at the same time sexual fragrance which dries down very close to the skin.
Something in La Mia Perla reminds me a bit of Narciso Rodrigues For Her (black bottle), it must be the musk. It also has a similarity to Lancome's Tresor which is definitely because of the orris, which I love, perhaps the sandalwood too. The orris here is much quieter, I notice it because it is one of my favourite notes. Please don't avoid trying it if you do not like Tresor.
Beautiful!
Thank you La Perla for this wonderful perfume!

chimidoro

Creamy coconut & salty suede through to a musky heart.
A mainly vanillic, savory scent with a dry down of soft, woody, steamed rice/vanilla in the ilk of KENZO AMOUR, minus any floral notes. 6 hour longevity with one spray per wrist, starts with a satisfyingly intimate aura and ends skin close.

Nataja

Gorgeous! Long lasting, good sillage and just soooooo sexy yet ccomforting at the same time! I have a vintage bottle of Guerlain L`Instant Magic Elixir 30 ml and instantly thought these are identical...smelling both on both wrists! Perfection and YES the bottle is to die for!!!

cocogirl96

I like this perfume. It is a feminine every day year around scent. It's a bit more of a fall/winter scent because it is woody and musky, but it is still light and airy enough to work during the spring/summer seasons. It can work for all age and in professional and casual environments (not really party environments).

Unfortunately doesn't mix well with my skin. My skin absorbs most of the notes and leaves me with nothing but a musky scent with a medicine like sweet undertone to it.

Overall, I'd give this an 7 out of 10.

auroramaria

This is one beautiful sexy fragrance! It is sweet and powdery and so very comforting,it has great longevity but after about an hour from sprayng stays close to skin.La Mia Perla smells amazing on sun warmed skin,I plan to wear it this coming Spring and Summer as it really blooms in hot weather. If you are looking for a warm sensual fragrance this is it

parfumparfan

Ok, the review that says "this smells like Avon Soft Musk" is a flat-out lie. Soft Musk stinks and smells oily, resinous and just way too screechy. This is petal-soft and so beautifully feminine.

It starts smelling spicy-peppery, with a little bite, and reminds me a lot of Burberry Brit. However, unlike Brit which is heavy and just too hard-hitting, this opens up and blooms into a beautiful, powdery, almond/lilac mixed with vanilla. It's absolutely addicting and I can't stop sniffing.

This lasts long but turns into a skin scent basically right after applying it. I get lots of compliments and I can see it as trending more mature yet I find that it's still wearable for someone in their early 20s.

llama13

Pleasantly surprised with this blind buy. Very lovely. I smell 'beautiful' when I wear this perfume and catch a whiff of it :-)

I fell for the review below, and another on the John Lewis website, extoling the virtues of this marvellous potion and ordered a bottle. Laugh at me, I am never falling for reviews again without a test, because this stuff (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sorry laughing both at myself and others) THIS IS AVON SOFT MUSK!! It just is. Soz guys. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh I'm such an idiot. Note to self, no more blind buys, no more blind buys, repeat until sinks into synapses..
The packaging is beautiful though, very unusual, the box has a holographic sphere on it and the bottle is lovely, although the white line round the top cheapens it, the finish ought to be better.
Dear Carlos, buy your wife five bottles of Avon Soft Musk instead!!!
Ps. I do really like Soft Musk btw, it's a great scent, just not at four times the price.
Pps. It has come to my attention that I've been called a liar, which I resent. Someone who thinks that Avon Soft Musk smells "oily and resinous" must've had a turned bottle or be afflicted in some way. There is also something called Phantosmia which has various causes including neurological conditions. (Have a google, I can't post links, which is a shame.) Or maybe they just have different olfactory receptor genes. Humans with the same olfactory gene profile will perceive a scent the same way (although not necessarily both like it, but they will both say 'pear'). With different profiles one may not percieve 'pear', the scent may be nasty or barely discernible. It is a good idea to try and find a reviewer who agrees with you on several perfumes making it more likely their reviews of other scents will be more reliable and help you to make more accurate blind buy choices. If your review of the same scent is poles apart then likely none of their other opinions will be of assistance to you.

My wife is realy impressed and pleased with this fragrance. Over the last 5 years she has been devoted to 4 perfumes - Angel, Eau du Soir, Rush and Midnight Poison. Finally with La Mia Perla she found a new member for her Top Four as Midnight Poison currently is impossible to find.
Congratulations for La Perla. This new perfume is fantastic.
