Classy, overbearing. I did love this but something changed for me recently. Pear is here, on me it's very creamy, slight florals, but the musk is so heavy. Like stifling so! This is a prim and proper bitch who wants you to know how she smells.

iris

I guess I have been quite prejudiced against Stilettos on Lex.
Until today, when i mistook it for another, Jul et Mad fragrance - Mon Seul Desir, heavy on fruity-leathery osmanthus. In other words, I was prepared to like it. And for a brief moment, this gave me the new perspective. Smell can be so subjective, so easily influenced.
Stilettos on Lex is an aldehydic Williams pear with hairspray lipstick undertones (violet, iris. of course). Yes, things can be fresh and boozy at the same time. A typical old-fashioned patchouli woodiness gives it a balance. But it's definitely not and old-fashioned fragrance.
Fruitiness is sophisticated and the makeup hints definitely point to the Sex and the City era, but made with more expensive ingredients. There's a sweet irony in this, as that was *t h e* era of conspicuous consumption - and still fragrance was cheaper. It is Sex and the City in full HD, carefully tweaked into an (almost) unisex syrup of unquestionable state-of-the-art quality.

Smells as if you put some powdered sugar on pears. While drinking some vodka. I like it, but was hoping it would be more powder than pear

BaJu

Tested it once, and realized, that I need a ful bottle! Very elegant, very romatic - pears here are juicy, fresh, slighty powdered and decorated with flowers (I mostly feel iris flowers and violets), while plums give some kind of deep accords to the scent. Absolutely love it!

Youlerie

Bulky plum liqueur in the top notes, but then nice and light, soft, creamy and flowery-fruity in the middle and basic notes. Thanks be to musk and violet!

perfumesniffer

Very powdery.

I find it hard when the scent turns out to be incongruous with my preconceived image, name or list of notes. This does not smell edgy, chic or sexy to me. It smells innocent, floaty, powdery and motherly.

In brief, Stilettos on Lex smells like pretty powdery pears. The bottle and presentation are nice but I’m glad I purchased for about half off retail. I’ll wear this when I want to smell wholesome and classy like a pretty mom. This does not conjure stilettos on lex but instead a classy mama pushing a baby stroller in Central Park.

7/10 scent
7/10 longevity
9/10 bottle/presentation
Yes, definitely the same vibe as Forever and Ever Dior. This is a bridal or new mom scent. Anyone can wear this of course but the vibe is undeniable. I like it.

PS I sold this and now wish I hadn’t. It is a nice powdery pear…classy

Woooow, I get such a late 90s-early 2000s flashback smelling this! I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of, but I swear I've smelled this as a child and I feel like it must have been a hair product of some sort..
Definately detect lily-of-the-valley and carnation along with soft pear and lots of clean musk. Very feminine and fresh. Love it!

Rerik

Smells like a powdery pear. Projects within an arm length.

ViouAmara

The more I use it, the more I truly admire it. The notes are accurate but it’s one of those scents where the mathematical whole is more than the sum of the parts. It’s somehow architectural, but not in a heavy way: very airy, intelligent, logical and transparent. It isn’t an « easy girl », not a Marie-couche-toi-là, she won’t sleep at first and this one needs to be deserved. Take your time.
Yes women have a head and a heart, and seduction is not always naked sugar.
And?

Extremely feminine, exquisite, yummy, classy French perfume: rich, expensive, fruity floral with a classic French perfumery touch.
It starts with a sweet, juicy, but fresh, not overripe pear. Violet leaf is very very pronounced here, very fresh and beautiful, it's a truly exquisite interplay between yummy, sweet pears, and vividly green violet leaves. Neither sweet nor green, and definitely not eatable, but so so mouthwatering. Slightly spicy, - just an edge, - from carnation, and again, it's a green spiciness.
Some patchouli and musk in the base, very delicate.
Great longevity, moderate sillage.
I feel like the quality of ingredients is paramount here.
Very natural, dynamic, "alive" smell. I am addicted to it.
It's dense, not a hot weather perfume. It might be colder summer or summer evening one, but rather spring or autumn, and it needs some air and space I guess. Definitely signature worthy.

vanillaflower77

Niche narciso in any of the cube bottles
Rich and sophisticated lipstick fruity floral like someone else mentioned
As it dries down is where i can see narciso all the way but stronger and more smooth

Stilettos on Lex is a very nice well-composed lipstick fruity floral that genuinely evokes its name. And I should know bcs I live just a few blocks from Bloomies! Opening is lipstick waxy powdery fruity violet, with a slight very appealing hint of smoky cedar already in the mix. Settles in to fruity citrusy soapy powdery top, and then without wasting much time the very well-balanced floral heart takes center stage. Still, the hint of smoky cedar is there, lending a gorgeous contrast to the opulent florals. Finally, very elegant musk & patchouli boost the velvety woody drydown as the smoky hint recedes, with light touch on vanilla providing balsamic foundation without over sweetening. This is absolutely lovely!

I sampled this one last week and it took me 2 hours to get hooked :-) I gave it a full day to make sure I really want it and I just got my hands on a full bottle today. I already own Aqua Sextius so I knew what to expect. Stilettos on Lex is a beautiful, rich composition of so many interesting and well blended notes that you feel like you wear a different scent thru the day.. floral yet not cloying, fresh with pear and violets, kind of warm on dry down. It embraces but not too much, it fills the space but not too much.. Very feminine and perfect for this time of the year when it's not too warm and yet not too cold. I got complimented on it as soon as I've sprayed it on. Sillage is very good on me, definitely not a skin scent and longevity is great. New signature scent for the time being :-)

Carpe Noctem

This is just gorgeous, lush and dewy. I can't pick out the individual notes but they mesh so beautifully together.

If I had to, I'd say it's the perfume of a woman in control; a powerful woman. It lasts for hours and hours on me and I keep going for it even though I only have a decant of it.

Edit June 19th-I had to buy a full bottle. This is definitely signature-scent territory!

venush

I finally found a fragrance with a strong resemblance to my favorite discontinued XS Pour Elle.
This is an epitome of sophistication. A strong, fresh pear on top, but only for a few minutes. Then creamy violet and heliotrope come and stay with a velvety presentation. They are like a purring cat - smooth, milky and soft. Now, a couple of hours later a vanilla-cedar base (no musk and patchouli with me) is making a soft final performance.
The scent is in a perfume extract concentration with a strong projection and lasting power.
A great ultra feminine performance!

Mooniq

I got a splash-sample and its a mild Pear-Violet-Musk-mix on my skin. A bit skinclose and a bit sweet. Very nice and I like it alot. Worth trying.

ScarlettX

This is a rich smelling perfume, I like it a lot.
A new brand to try for me and everything about it is interesting.
I sense it as powdery, floral, spicy and fruity at the same time.
It's a strong and long lasting scent.
Very very nice, I am quite amazed by it. This is not just some everyday scent, it's a signature one!
What I like the most about it, is violet leaf, very nicely done.
Too expensive for me to even add to the favorites, but I keep it in mind.
This perfume could be described as sexy in my opinion.

csaito

what a beautiful pear ! flowers growing behind. smooth, elegant, sofisticaded. love it.
it reminds me a little diorella and parfum de therese, but instead of melon, it's pear.
I'll buy for my wife... this is what women should smell !!! but i'll use it too. "perfumes has no genitalia"

Rerik

What a surprise. Right now I sprayed Jul et Mad Stilettos on Lex on the right hand and Thierry Mugler Pure Havane on the left hand.
Stilettos on Lex smells expensive and rich.
The character of this fragrance is almost rouge thanks to plum and heliotrope.
There is also a freshness going on here.
By the floral notes this fragrance becomes more feminine.
It´s a dandy fragrance for women.
Similar to Gucci PH II.

ladymarmelade

I like perfume but not nearly enough to spend a big amount of my hard earned money on a single bottle. So when this brand was on sale recently in my city, I decided to give this perfume a try. At 40% off maybe, just maybe, if this perfume was amazing enough a purchase could be justified.
It did smell really nice, for about an hour or so... and it was gone! Reduced to a skin scent. What a disappointment!

Michelina

Wayward and womanly is the essence of this big little lady. Hellokoi nailed the review, but I’ll attempt a few words here myself…

Stilettos opens rather cloyingly with a sharp citrus-pear one-two punch. Then the rose joins the ring, teeth bared, the portrait of aggression. Here I can definitely smell the resemblance to Tresor.

It’s a rather brutal olfactory experience for the first 30-60 minutes, all knees and elbows, after which the warmongering floral-fruits return to their corners and the sweet powdery vanilla emerges almost as an apologetic afterthought intended to soften the damage.

Overall, a bit spastic for me. But it’ll certainly stick with you, whether you ultimately want it to or not; sillage softens considerably once the vanilla phase begins. Nice, but nowhere near remarkable enough for the €230 price tag.

adriana_w

I am lucky enough to have received a FB of Stilettos on Lex this year. Thank you, Santa!!! :) Although I really liked it when tried it in a sample form, I ADORED it when I had the real thing in my hands!!! It is one of the most - if not THE most- luxurious, refined, elegant presentation and perfume ever!! From the exquisite scent to the heavy glass bottle to the gorgeous Travel Spray to the presentation case, I am conquered!!! All the way!

Roge

This fragrance opens with what i believed to be a sour pear. Not until i looked at the notes did i realize there was a lemon ingredient involved. Musk as smooth as cashmere envelopes the composition backed by floral violets and lilies. Definitely the kind of fragrance that you're able to pretty much smell all of the notes. Basically, this is a feminine fragrance as explained by the reviewer below; however, i feel very comfortable wearing this. Decent longevity(6hrs), not too ridiculous with the sillage but respectable. Not as predictable like most spring/summer perfumes, I give this fragrance a B+.

krassy

My most favourite fragrance ever! Pure beauty! So elegant, so sensual, so extraordinary feminin. I absolutely adore it and though I have a huge collection of rare niche perfumes and I seldom buy the same perfume two times, this one is among the very few ones that i want to have always!
