Its a bit harsh and a bit synthetic smelling in the opening but after 15-30 minutes the scent is very good! Smells like a very sweet plum with some woods. The plum note is definitely the main note

KristijanV

This fragrance has a heavenly aura. The smell is beautiful from the opening until the end, and very noticeably transforms throughout, giving all the notes a spotlight at their own turn. The star notes that make this fragrance so unique are the plum, palo santo and bergamot. This fragrance is extremely versatile, has good projection, and even better longevity. It is inoffensive and suitable for any season and time of the day. The fragrance is more popular with men (including myself) but I find it to be perfectly unisex.

There is something disturbing about the opening note of Paragon, something that reminds me of a fruity bubblegum that has been chewed for too long. When the opening scent subsides, an interesting, complex and deep aroma is revealed underneath it. It’s a combination of plum, bergamot, incense, sandalwood, herbs and spices. I quite like that mixture, but the nasty opening prevents me of loving this perfume. Paragon is unisex, but leaning towards the masculine direction. It has the same high quality, craftsmanship and personality as other Initio fragrances I've tried, but this one is just not for me.

_hypnotic_

Just sampled this and first few minutes reminded me of something I tried and didn't like recently, but I can't remember what it is, and it's not Rehab..only later it starts to smell like Rehab.

BandmanMrBandman

Absolute love on first spray. Paragon has such a beautiful and herbaceous opening of sage, lavender, and bergamot that is refreshing and therapeutic. The plum is definitely apparent and gives a nice fruity touch, and I believe I smell the palo santo, which is a little woody and citrusy and rests with the sandalwood nicely. Paragon lasts for a crazy amount of time around 10-12 hours with a soft projection; I can go to bed and wake up and still faintly smell it on my arms. I smelled about half of the Initio brand at this point and Paragon is my favorite yet, it just feels so peaceful and serene smelling and will definitely be buying a fb but if you want the same smell, Lattafa Vintage Radio is pretty much the exact same
if you can mind the bottle.

Patricia888

To me this is palo santo with lavender sweetened ever so slightly by plum. Definitely woody.
A bit weird and strange which I can imagine can lean one way (to really liking to wear this) or the other (where its strange character could irritate). So, choose carefully.

European2024

It’s not for me :-( sorry

Has_x8

Never mind the silage but there is a sophisticated thing and calmness in a way that I can’t describe in this perfume, well blended scent.. but it reminds me of Rehab a little

the top note of this fragrance was amazing its and the dry down didn't disappoint as well.in my opinion this is the best initio fragrance.

vitor123

One of the best fragrances I've ever smelled. So beautiful.

Swore

The perfect autumn fragrance? almost certainly. Calming enough to quell an anxiety attack? likely. Original? Somewhat, I smell a lot of Comme Des Garçons 2 in here, which is an incredible scent, if a bit dated. Paragon is blended to perfection though, and whether or not it’s completely original is irrelevant; for the beauty of Paragon must not be overshadowed.

antongl97

This is probably the most beautiful fragrance I've ever smelt, if heaven/clouds had a scent this would be it

jigginssean

What an utterly bizarre fragrance. I neither hate it or like it but I definitely haven't smelt anything like it before! It has a strange mix of candy like sweetness reminiscent of Parma violet sweets but at the same time, an air of freshness. This is definitely something I wouldn't wear but the scent itself is fine, I guess. For those who are after something unique though, give this a try! Not for me though.

Nikanjavid

Very unique palo santo note.
Leans more on the feminine side imo.
I recommend it to +30 women.

Clay_N

This fragrance had been on my want list for a while, and I finally got a chance to wear it.

Initially it smells lovely. It has a strong plum note, followed by a woody floral base. It almost gives off a plum forward incense smell after dry down.

After wearing it a full day, it led me feeling less excited. The plum was still there, but it becomes very light and powdery almost. Not a fan after the first hour.

Maya lilac

Do not throw stones at me but Paragon smells bad. At least in the opening it’s horrible. Pungent, oudy, peppery, aromatic, barbershop like. It’s a strong perfume, I’ll give it that but this is too masculine for my taste. Instant dislike for me.

But then it settles into a more pleasant fruity, woody, aromatic scent. It’s supposed to have a strong plum note but I don’t get plums out of this. Maybe a very vague trace of some vague fruit. And then more black pepper, clary sage and lavender. And woods.

Easy pass, I wish I would get what everyone is getting from Paragon. Looking at the comments, most people have a very positive experience with Paragon. By the way, I am testing Paragon from an official Initio Prive sample I got with another purchase, so I don’t think it’s something wrong with my sample.

Performs great which is normally great because it’s a very expensive scent!

thelaralavery

So happy that everyone is talking about this now. Paragon deserves its flowers ☺️

sallylmtle

Wow! I love it. Warm, inviting, familiar, sexy, rich. Lasts forever on the skin. I am new to fragrance and just learning notes but if I could give it a name, I'd call it Lady Boner. :-)

Olenchyk

Wow, this scent is a lot rolled into one. The mind is instantly scrambling for adjectives: it is sweet, and juicy, and fruity, and spicy, and fresh-aromatic, and citrusy, and woody, and then all those in random order again.
The plum is extremely distinctive and present - it's a ripe juicy, sweet and sour and at the same time, and I can't even say if it's more sour or more sweet, as if honeyed. I also catch teh citrusy bergamot at the beginning. Can't feel the lavender specifically, but something aromatic and flowery is there. The plum note reminded me the plum in Byredo Bibliotheque and I sprayed Bibliotheque on another wrist to compare - yes, exactly like that, just in Bibliotheque it is blended with leather that makes it even stronger and distinctly feminine.
This one is unisex par exellence, but not because it's easy going and indistinct, and not because there's nothing that is too soft or sweet and feminine, or too sharp or fresh and masculine. More because it's just so perfectly blended. All the notes dance around all the time, and it doesn't turn from one thing to another in stages. the woody drydown still has some softness and sweetness to it. No idea how palo santo is meant to smell, maybe that's it.
Soooo intriguing!

Sean25

holy what an amazing scent

Opens up with a fresh, clean lavender and the best sweet plum note ever. I also notice the palo santo. As it dries down, the creamy sandalwood comes out. I do not notice any wood. This is such a warm, comforting scent that is suitable for all seasons. The smell of this brings me joy and i've never had a bad reaction with it. such a masterfully crafted fragrance that is definitely signature worthy.

This fragrance has insane performance for what it is. I can smell whiffs of this all day, and from other reactions, it's definitely noticeable but not too overpowering. I love this fragrance and when I first smelt it I knew I had to get a full bottle.

DanielKingHATER

daniel kinf is fucking stupid

DanielKingHATER

possibly the greatest scnet my lucky nose has had the oppurtunity of tasting. it smells like heaven and its way too cheap for what you get. should be worth a house and it is magnificent

markactor

I bought a sample after rave reviews here and YT. IMO it's just ok. Certainly a unique fragrance or at least for the general population. A plum, barbershop with... playdoh? That's what I get. It's different.

Scent: 5/10 (but unique)
Projection: 6/10
Longevity: 7/10
Value: 6/10

TomasN21

Oh my god!!
This is so amazing!
So unique!
If you want to know how heaven smells, try this.
This is really calming, moody and smooth scent.
If you looking for something ultra masculine, this is not it.
Opening for me is little feminen but after a few minutes leans to unisex.
Perfect for romantic situations or for meditation hahaha. 10/10 love this.

Bizzy1995

Gorgeous fresh spicy lavender and sage with a hint of bergamot citrus. Very quickly the plum note comes in and dominates (a bit too much in my opinion) Palo Santo as another strong player.

As it dries down a bit more the sandalwood begins to take part, adding a warm creaminess to this fragrance. I get a synthetic, western play on oud. This “Oud” is very nutty. It’s actually quite enjoyable and pronounced the more it dries.

Final thoughts: i really enjoy the freshness of the herbs in the opening, as the opening fades I think the plum becomes quite overbearingly strong but as it dries down more, it becomes more docile. The sandalwood and oud notes are great and work togther with the other notes to create a unique warm creamy woody scent that stands out.

Caramel00

I rellay feel like this is a better take on the Cheirosa '40 Sol de Janeiro
super good

FlowerSeeker

A woody, mossy, earthy fragrance at the start. Dries to a creamy peppery wood with a touch of floral, and I swear there’s a subtle vanilla too. This is a very nice perfume. Giving it to the hubby.

Samurai23

Paragon smells lovely. Never thought about a plum perfume, but this is nice. The fragrance is definitely not super masculine or super feminine. The plum has this coldness or indifference to it that makes it more masculine leaning to me. It's not like a fig fragrance that smells softer and warmer and more feminine (I'm thinking of Fico di Amalfi here).
I'm a man and can definitely picture myself wearing this going out to just chill and not giving a fuck.

Edit:
Do I like it ? Yes.
Would I buy a whole bottle? No.

Zachhh

This is an extremely unique scent that is hard to break down. The first time I smelled it, my eyes rolled into the back of my head because that plum note is heavenly. The opening has that graceful plum note mixed with the fresh spiciness and palo notes. Lasts around 8-10 hours on skin and forever on clothes. This is on the safer side, it’s hard to hate this fragrance due to the uniqueness and high quality ingredients. Also extremely versatile.

Defragscentient

this is perfumery right here, this to me is surprisingly fresh compared to most "citrus scents" really versatile and the wafts just smell sooooooo goooood

9/10

edit

after a couple of days this is heavily aromatic with scents you can't discern, unfortunately im not a big fan but when it turns into a skin scent it is so creamy and woody with the palo santo i just wish there was more of that then the aromatics on my skin.

Legions

This is a beautiful scent that truly does has a level of calming aromatherapeutic effects. I've seen reviews that describe this as a bit more masculine Musk Therapy and I can agree with that based off the sheer emotion I can feel when I take a big whiff of this. Paragon exemplifies the masterful blending of quality oils that's the trademark of the Initio house that I've sampled. That's not to say this isn't perfectly unisex though. After sampling most of the Initio house I would say this is the best warm weather Initio, and quite possibly the best of the Hedonist collection. The Palo Santo and sandalwood give it such a serene woodiness that is complimented with a unique fruitiness from the plum, quite a one of a kind scent, my first full bottle purchase of a niche fragrance actually. This is a beautiful work of art from the aromatic opening to the soothing skin scent phase.
Longevity: Easy 9/10. I get a cool 12 hours of this on skin on a good day, and it expectedly lasts an eternity on clothes.
Projection: 8.5/10 This isn't offensive at all, although it is quite potent while not being nuclear. Strong scent bubble slightly bigger than arm's reach that slowly tapers off through the drydown, strong skin scent about 6-7 hours in.
Versatility: 9.5/10 Once again, this is far from an offensive scent, great performance that allows it to work throughout cooler months, but still light and breezy enough to work in warmer months too. Wonderful scent to wear for daytime errands as well as a night on the town.

Cocosette

I had discarded Initio as a house because everything I've tried has an underlying tackiness from using overpowering base aromachemicals, Atomic Rose being the worst offender.
But Paragon is extremely pleasant, plum on a sandalwood/white musk base with great staying power and projection. I would say it feels like a masculine version of Musk Therapy.

Fountain30

The great thing about Paragon aside from how beautiful it is… it’s the versatility. Any season any occasion. Casual or formal.

natashaandika

This is the kind of fragrance that makes you roll your eyes because its just so good and so calming. It definitely has that aromatherapy element, but in a way that is therapeutic and bold at the same time. This is not a feminine, innocent, or 'pretty' scent--this is striking and mature. It definitely has that niche quality: the juicy plum and palo santo combined with the soothing lavender makes a very calming yet seductive scent. Bought this on the spot without even trying to look at online deals because to me its just that good.

SmokeyLady

Wow! Amazing! Plum and palo santo I love those notes! Lavander seems to be tricky for me so it bothers me a bit. But I seem to fall in love with fragrances that are difficult for me! It is too expensive for a bit chemically smelling fragrance. I love those but for some reason think they aren't same quality as more natural ones? I could be wrong. I hope I will find Lattafa dupe. Thank you Lattafa for making two!

HOLY Berries

Scent reminded me when you ride in a semi-open window bus, where there you smell is 1990s car freshener in lavender/ lemon, then at the same time, u smell the driver smoking cigarette that suffocate non-smokers, burning wood + plum fruit stand from place you are passing by, It suddenly stopped and smell this burning tire or clutch.
very suffocating & migraine inducing scent. highly offensive scent.

slightly ok part was the opening only first 3 minutes..
i hope this app will not hide or delete my comment. i have browsing my early review here and it did not appear. How?

This is some genderneutral activist scent.

Breezy and deceptively simple. The plum has a clear, succulent, bouncy sweetness to it. Meanwhile the palo santo is a smooth, warm murmur. It's freshest in the opening, with a note of tangy herbaceous zest. Gradually it develops into a cozy, mild, vaguely-fruity wood scent; like cashmere and cream in a plum tree grove.

MaggieCN1

Paragon is a beautiful fragrance. I am a big fan of this house. You can’t go wrong with any Initio fragrance. The plum and lavender combination really sets it apart from other woody fragrances.

JaySentz

Wasn’t quite expecting the plum to be so dominant, very distinctive and unique against the wood notes. It has freshness, but is dense enough it might get sickly in high temps. Rather than light and bright this is a richer plum.

It’s really interesting, but not feeling full bottle worthy for me. Must smell if you like plum scents.

PurlyGirl

I realized after using a decant sample for a week or so that this reminds me of my favorite palo santo/eucalyptus room scent, but the plum and herby floral makes this great to wear. It's one that holds close to my body and longevity is decent.

Gamecocks1!

Wow they nailed it so dam good! This is why pdm, initio is my favorite house they have so many dam good fragrance

cellycell215

Please sample it is a very strange scent smells like plum and pencil shavings

oldlowo

Reminds me of my dad's old aftershave (in an unpleasant way). It's not unpleasant but definitely not for me.

buonobi

I'm in love....
Not cigarette-like or even smoky to my nose.
Very fruity opening, like plum-fruity bubblegum.
Someone may think a bit weird in the opening.
But after 30m - 1hr, it becomes more creamy & woody, and the plum took the backseat.
If you smell real Palo Santo before, this drydown really show that with fruity touch.
Super long-lasting, the dry-down is very lovely.
Sweet and woody and Paolo Santo is definitely here.
Unisex.

Gamecocks1!

I'm in love with this fragrance so dam good 👍

Gamecocks1!

Man they hit it out of the park dam I love this one. Pdm,initio is my favorite house they know how to do it.

ForTheLoveOfFrag

I have a 10ml bottle of Rehab sprayed a few times and purchased direct from Initio before they pulled their travels for ind sale. Batch code has it at May 2021 on prod date - %78 alcohol.

If anyone would want to swap High Frequency or Atomic Rose or Paragon for my Rehab, please DM me! U.S. Proof of purchase and bottle photos avail on request.

Bit0sugar

Sipping plum tea and you just opened a new box of palo santo, getting ready to burn it. This is so chill, sweet, and smooth. I sprayed this on and smelled it the next day. Every time I got whiffs I was happy, it never became cloying or too much. Absolute love for me. 💜

kertese

Peppery plum with creamy woods. Smells pretty pleasant in the air, but not everyone would like to necessarily smell like this i suppose.

benko772

Treba kúpiť Lattafa Al Nashama. Vydrží viac, je silnejšia, hlasnejšie a o trochu sladšie.

Collin_397

Plum is somewhat sweet and quite feminine, then dries down to a unisex and weirdly addicting Calpol-like scent. If i was going for a larger collection i might buy it but i dont think i love it enough to get a full bottle as is.

Fountain30

Absolutely breathtaking offering from Initio and for me the star of the Hedonist collection. Beautiful bergamot and lavender somewhat similar to Rehab at the start before giving way to the absolute single best plum note I’ve ever smelt in a fragrance. Can be worn any time any place any season. Good performance with a nice scent bubble that lasts the day but isn’t overwhelming at all. Perfectly down the line unisex. Lots of compliments for this one.

eoindn

Very unique almost sherbert like plum fragrance.Initally I'm blasted with citrus and lavender then as soon as it drys the plums and woods come into play. Creamy juicy sour and sweet , blended excellently with niche quality yet manages to have mass appeal at the same time.Excellent performance.

hc123

Picked up a used tester for 50% off basically full. Still has a weird almost anaseptic edge but I'm addicted. Plum and creamy woody warmth. The only drawback is projection and sillage, on me it's a skin scent within 2 hours so I'm not sure I'd pay full price.

Ksj_

I get a Musk Therapy/Urba Pura vibe from this one, but taken in a different direction.

This will not be offensive and will probably garner positive attention. But I find it too safe and too boring for a bottle investment.

It's worth sampling.

anythingbutobvious

Inhale, exhale, inhale again and so on and so forth— Initio's Paragon is nothing short of aromatherapy. Marrying sage and palo santo, the fragrance sees two of the most spiritual ingredients brought together in harmonious union. At this point you might be asking: if sage and palo santo are the scent's heart what is the soul? Well, on initial spray, juicy plum emerges from the ether, shortly followed by a whiff of black pepper that produces the scent's signature never-cloying ozonic sweetness. While the scent mellows into a creamy sandalwood the longer it dries down, said plum-iness is retained and championed well into it's impressive 5 hour wear time, making it the scent's key player. While the silage leaves something to be desired for a perfum de extrait, the subtle complexity of the scent and it's feel good nature have rewired my brain making me incapable of citing any criticism (did I mention it also last forever on your clothes?). A good fragrance isn't just about the destination, it's the journey; and sometimes the journey isn't across the universe, and instead a weekend getaway to a wellness retreat. So while where the scent arrives doesn't stray far from it's initial dry down, every side is given its moment to take center stage. Paragon, and it's many facets, not only performs– it delivers.

Kid_Buu

Absolutely fantastic. I IMMEDIATELY bought a full bottle the same day my decant arrived. I had to have it.

Easy 10/10.

jbozz

Sexy aromatherapy, that's the kind of vibe I'm feeling with Paragon and I am absolutely in love with it! This stuff is so good, it's beautifully blended with high quality ingredients and just puts you in a calm and relaxed mood. It’s like a dream scent. Couldn't stop sniffing myself all evening. Absolutely worthy of the praise it gets but still seems like it’s "under the radar", and that's fine by me. I have 100+ fragrances in my collection and nothing else I have really smells quite like this. Total niche quality, unique but easy to wear and mass appealing at the same time. It's got the best plum note that I have experienced by far. It does feel slightly feminine in the opening but the drydown is right down the middle unisex and absolutely anybody can enjoy wearing this any time of year except possibly high heat. Overall it feels pretty versatile and could easily be a signature scent (it’d be absolutely perfect for a massage therapist). I was lucky to grab this at a pretty fair price before it sold out, but I'm already thinking back up bottle it's that good. Performance is extremely solid, over 14 hours and one shower later, and I can still detect hints of it wafting from my skin. Such a soothing and extremely pleasant scent with an alluring quality. It does have a slightly sweet powderiness about it so Paragon might not be blind buy safe to everyone, try it first if you can. Personally its one of my best blind buys and I am so happy to have it. Just a wonderful release from Initio.

JasmineSky

What a scent! A very beautiful blend of earthy, sweet, and woodiness. I love wearing this before bed, it's very calming and automatic - probably the sage and lavender.

PSL

Lowkey imma blind buy this one.

gimmegourmandz

I don't have much to say except I LOOOOOOVE this fragrance and it's an absolute compliment magnet. Most recently I wore it to a party and as I made my rounds through the room greeting friends, I had people swarming people demanding to know what I was wearing. It works for every season and every occasion. It's sweet and herbal and ethereal and intriguing and badass and just...eyes roll back good. Definitely unisex. I can't recommend it enough! 11/10 for me.

monsieur.moustache

An intriguing, peppery fragrance. Have not encountered one like this before and it stands out in a very nice way.

My only quibble is the lack of performance on my skin. It ends up being an airy / ephemeral scent, making only occasional appearances throught the day. If this performed a bit better, it truly would be paragon in my opinion.

That said, it still deserves a spot in the fragrance pantheon.

monamushroom

I actually came by this fragrance accidentally, but wow did I fall for it. This is absolutely one of my favourites in my collection, and especially during the colder months.

It is spicy and smells a bit like christmas and potpourri. The plum is sweet and juicy but it is not a sweet perfume at all. It is very neutral and well blended, and it is a lot of green if that makes sense. Like walking in a magical forest. It is creamy, woody and fresh and everything I want in a perfume, all at the same time.

If I have to paint a picture to this fragrance, it is an herbal Finnish Sauna that warms you up from the inside and makes you feel good, refreshed and relaxed.

The longetivity is extreme, and I still smell this after hours of sleep, almost as strong as when I first applied it.

rasteria

Truly androgynous and mysterious. It develops and changes and surprises. Fruity, sweet, woody, feminine, masculine… A real adventure. Sampling in cold weather, wondering how it will perform in summer. My daughter says it smells classy and I agree.

SenileBoomer

The opening in this one is very interesting, I tested this myself as well as on a friend, and the plum note smells kind of like a somewhat sour but juicy plum, and we both agreed that when the plum is mixed with the bergamot, it produces a scent very similar to kiwi which stood as a great accent-note to the woodiness.

It's a bright and clean scent but not lacking in terms of blend, so you do get a very distinct woodiness which is beautifully contrasted by the fruit.
Sandalwood also helped create a great base for this one. I think it would've been ruined if they went with animalics or musk as a base, so going with sandalwood and oud just helps support the palo santo.

It's hard to describe without sounding coy, but the plum and bergamot adds a sort of exotic feel to an otherwise woody/aromatic fragrance, without taking it in a super tropical direction. It's one of the few scents that I'd call addicting.

IceMell

What an interesting opening for me if I keep my wrist close to my nose. Not sure if everyone gets hit like this, but the opening hits me like several little waves of scent in the first minute. The initial hit is a sweet juicy plum, and almost in the next breath the oud jumps forward. A couple of seconds later the sage joins the party and woods add a slightly menthol effect. The lavender and citrus blend in with everything else in the next few seconds and by the end of the first minute I'm left with a sweet, spicy, cool woods and fruity plum and palo santo scent that is smoothly blended and balanced. Once I get there, I don't notice any other drastic changes in the fragrance. The sweet plum stays, but slowly tones down, and the spice and the beautiful palo santo pull further forward and I go from loving it to loving it more. All the while the woods are there, including that beautiful oud note that is neither funky nor animalic. This state of balance is pretty much where it stays until it gradually fades to a skin scent.

The projection of this one is strong in the first 30 minutes, but I end up with 6 - 8 hours of gently noticeable but polite sillage for the next few hours. I can wear this in literally any weather, maybe pulling back on the number of sprays above 90 degrees. Then again, maybe not, for something this expensive, I'm gonna enjoy it. It is definitely unisex, but it is sweet, spicy and softly woody, so I know men that would say it's too feminine and women that would say it's too masculine. You do you. But I absolutely love this scent.

If it's out of your price range, strongly consider Vintage Radio by Lattafa. Even the opening mimics all of the changes for me. The plum is a little sweeter and more prominent in the beginning, and it takes longer on my skin for the woods to pull forward. If I don't side-by-side wear them I can't tell them apart, and I cannot tell them apart in the air past the opening. Is Paragon better? Yeah, absolutely. I'm not getting rid of my bottle. Will anyone know the difference? No, and if I hit the 5 hour mark on Paragon and want to refresh, I hit a couple of sprays with VIntage Radio.

Sylect

It's giving me luxury boss bottled EDP

Suave_Blanco

I literally cannot say enough good things about this scent. Picture yourself sitting in the room of a World-Class luxury spa, wrapped in the comfiest cotton bathrobe. The air is warm with the heat coming from the stones of your upcoming hot stone massage. Peaceful music permeates the air. Aromatherapy oils waft past your nose. That’s this scent.

The unique plum note mixes with the Palo Santo to create this paradoxically complex, yet simple scent. The sandalwood as it dries down creates this milky but still light scent, unbelievably smooth from beginning to end.

It is a shouting whisper. Loud enough to be noticed by others, soft enough to not be overpowering.

For those of you looking for a beautiful and complex fragrance, this is it. For those of you looking for compliments, this is also it. As my friend so eloquently called it “that one is a ‘Baja panty’ for sure.”

10/10 masterpiece. No notes *chefs kiss*

Luigi408

Out of the four Initio fragrances that I own this one is now my #1. Good balance of woodiness and sweetness (maybe a bit too sweet). Perfectly unisex (maybe slight masculine leaning). You can wear this any season and any time of day (maybe too sweet for really hot days). Don’t pay retail though (above $200). You can find these on discounters but they sell out quick. 8.5/10.

n4ael

what can i say man , 9/10 scent 1/10 price ☠️ , strong plum + sweet relaxing santo palo

hc123

I don't get woods or calming I get very medicinal linament smell..I had a similar experience with cedrat boise which is now one of my favorite so we shall see.

zavi

I can't believe Paragon isn't talked about more because this stuff is so unique but also extremely attractive and easy to wear. Honestly it blew me away, this was a love at first sniff.

On my way to rob a bank now so that I can afford a full bottle and make this my signature scent.

OHLAWDTOMFAWD

Love it. Opens with an incredibly juicy plum note. The lavender and sage aromatics start to come in through the mid to smooth out the tartness in the plum and then a creamy sandalwood rounds everything off. I dont get a ton of the Palo Santo, not much of the rough woodiness or smokiness you generally get from palo santo, this is more soft and round. Straight out of the atomizer it smells like a sweet red wine with a strong plum accord.

Does bear a faint resemblance to Naxos once the creaminess sets in.

10/10 for me.

The Rehab DNA is absolutely there. Paragon is less spicy. Sandalwood is very apparent in it though, smells like a straight up sweetened piece of it. The plum note is very similar to the one in L Homme Ideal extreme. This mix creates an almost hypnotic smell, I would really enjoy it more if it wasn’t that sweet. Longevity on clothes especially is crazy. Well blended and natural smelling.

stalal

Starts very to H24 by Hermes, then goes into this metallic lavender mode. It is ok I guess. Its like some powerful computer is asked to create a Fougere lol.

Clairexoxo

I don’t like it but I think I just have an issue with Palo Santo and I also don’t connect with the scent because it leans masculine to me. I get smoky, fresh, citrus, palo santo and a nice sweet plum. Lasts well on clothing but softer sillage

sabsizzle

Plum! Lots of plum! I get mild hints of Alien in this.... But very mild. It settles down on the skin as a cool, plummy, slightly spicy scent. I really like it but just like the other Initio fragrance I tried, it is not a "me" scent, it just doesn't suit me well. I tend to go for gourmands with more vanilla, or bright white florals. This is deep, romantic, a great unisex scent which would work well in cooler weather.

leonardwashington

I wore this one night going to a club. I sprayed this on before I left out to my car. The initial smell was peppery, sweet plum. That smelled like it was blended very well. By time I got to my car and it started to dry down. I WAS SUPER IMPRESSED. It had the smell and vibe of just luxury plum, creamy smoothness that was airy. This is my second favorite fragrance I’ve ever owned! When I got to the club I smelled and felt like I was a rich rapper Lbvs. This is definitely a fall/winter fragrance. Wear this when it’s chill to cold outside.

nepria

This is addictive! This one is just on another level. I think I wrote some vague comment earlier about this perfume, but omg time has passed and things have changed. :D This time I tested this perfume on myself, I wore it a lot for about two weeks, and omg this is just DIVINE!!!
Paragon is totally different from other perfumes, very nicely blended it is just in perfect harmony.
This smells totally different on the skin than on paper! Like night and day. On paper, it seems a bit hash I even though it has some tobacco notes, but on skin, it's smoooooooth a tad sweet, it has a beautiful sillage!!!
I am so happy that I gave Paragon a second chance, it just shot to the top of my favorite perfumes. Totally FBW!

EDIT: two weeks later and I'm not even kidding, the more I wear it, the more I love it. AMAZING. I think this just made me doubt my loyalty to Rehab as my favorite Initio perfume. The longevity of this is just divine. I feel this scent opens up very beautifully in cold weather, the sillage is getting even stronger in cold temperatures. I love to smell this on my self.

Llessurx

Blind tested this. Found it really unique, not something I’d smelt before.

I actually thought this would be an excellent summer scent. Sweet and creamy but not in a sickening or overly feminine way. Quite complex and very well blended. There isn’t a particular note that outshines the others, making it quite interesting. Lovely, really enjoyed this and was one of my favourites I sampled.

Estebandc5

It does not smell like lhomme ideal extreme stop smoking crack and fix your nose

PatrickMezo

Divine. On my skin, it projects a lot of ripe, middle of summer, plum and an expansive palo santo. Good longevity too. Once it develops into these two notes, it stays there. For me, my comfort scent.

Venusia

Lovely, not too sweet candy with a creamy woody-herbal heart and a lavender-sandal wood touch, in a white-violet wraping. A unique aromatic gourmand I would call it. Love at first sniff. Longevity about 7h, sillage 2-3h

MitHsur

Quite lovely, but shockingly low longevity given the price. Wears very close to the body, which is fine, I'm not one of those people chasing Sillage.

Rozalina

This is a unique fragrance that is reminiscent of aromatherapy for the home. I can see this appealing to lovers of dry, woody unisex scents. The plum is ever so subtle, on my skin I would never be able to tell it is present. This is calming. I don’t see how anyone could find Paragon offensive. The note of palo santo is authentic and it is a FAR better interpretation than the nausea-inducing Palo Santo perfume from Carner Barcelona.

Jujas

This has to be my second best blind-buy discovery, right after Ani Nishane!

I’ve tried for so long to find an elevated, refined plum that doesn’t scream mid 2000s frosted lipstick and ratty hair extensions. It’s been quite the journey. One that happily ends with Paragon and no tramp stamp.

Perfectly balanced. Perfectly unisex. Completely unique.

Airy fresh plum dances effortlessly amongst mood boosting sage and lavender. Palo Santo joins the chorus, but in a subdued way; never overpowering or sharp. Creamy woods with hints of smokiness add mystique and charm.

Very rarely am I immediately in love with a fragrance.
To say this was love at first sniff might be an understatement. More like an instant obsession.

I love it. I might just marry it.

True story.

mejevika

I wasn't very impressed initially, but it has grown on me. A lot of palo santo, which I like. I consider it less of a perfume and more of aromatherapy - it's a calming, cozy, woody scent that you wanna put on before going to a relaxing evening meditation class in a beautiful yoga studio.

fietsdief

Nice fragrance thats pretty similar to Roberto Cavalli Uomo La Notte (unfortunately discontinued). Very fruity plum, delicious.

Lattafa now has a stunning €30 clone called Vintage radio. Great quality and longevity too. The bottle is horrendous though.

cubed

Wore this fairly often in the spring season. This reminds me of lounging in a warm, cozy home in my favourite oversized sweater. A pleasant, comforting fruity-woody composition. The plum adds a subtle seductive touch, soft, alluring, and oh so scrumptious!

The scent profile is quite unique. Signature scent worthy, even. It doesn't lean masculine, but doesn't lean feminine either; perfectly unisex.

DichterundDenker

I don't know of any fragrance where the ingredients smell as authentic as Paragon.

A subtle, slightly sweet plum. How freshly harvested!

Slightly smoky but sensual Palo Santo. Not over the top and really smells a bit ethereal.

Healthy fresh sage. Not severe, but very soothing for the nose.

A touch of oud. Very noble oud!

For me a fragrance for every season. Paragon is good for the body and soul.

I love Paragon!

PS: Paragon is now on my bedside table. I use it to sleep comfortably.

Cmo314

This smells and feels like the exact moment you bite into a fresh pack of Bubblicious Gum. First time I smelled it...i was immediately thrown back to my childhood days...i didn't know why at first but it reminded me of something I knew very well...then after buying a full bottle and smelling the first spray...it finally hit me...BUBBLICIOUS GYM!! And in a good way cuz man this stuff smells good!!! I truly understand why it's therapeutic now. I love this fragrance. Don't know about performance but man the smell alone just fits me. 10/10.

DavidJohanes222

Off the sample that i got, at the first 1-2 minute of spraying i kinda feel like i know this smell... and then i thought... cherry... cought medicine cherry syrupp

but thankfully it does transform to something more aromatic clean and a little bit sweet kinda nice... Doesn't smell Expensive though

Mizi

Masculine. Fresh - in a minty way. Woody. Calming. Lavender, sage, palo santo and oud with a very slight hint of plum. Really nice and I would get a bottle but this is not an ‘every day’ scent for me, a touch too masculine and I’d have to be in the right mood for it. Good stuff nonetheless.

lmnsvgz

Plum done in a very unique way! It is more linear but still fruity and sweet. Like laundry that has been washed with a plum-scented detergent. I like it!!

eaudemale

Very feminine, cough syrup Ultraviolet candy. There’s a little woodiness (I don't smell the oud anywhere) in it but all I get are violet candies. It smells like something violet or purple, like the colors. Sweet and cloying.
Performance and longevity are great tho but this isn’t even a good smelling feminine fragrance. Maybe Initio should save the ingredientes to make something better.

Dani.G.German

Purchased this for my girlfriend but I also wear it here and there. The opening is by far my favorite - beautiful and somewhat unique combination of sage, citrus, and a little lavender. Possibly my favorite opening of any non-oud fragrance.

The dry down isn't bad either. First time I wore it, it was a little too sweet for me but that was from the tester. The full bottle has performed better.

Solid 4/5.

cgaleb

Updated 9/13/23: man, this is good. I don’t know what was up with my nose before but I’m so glad I got another sample of this. It’s like the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and woody. It projects well and lasts throughout the day. The sillage you leave behind with this is so unique. Initio has quickly become my favorite house and I really want a full bottle of this, as I have Musk Therapy and Psychedelic Love already, but Paragon adds something special. I love it.

7/16/23: Weirdly enough I an anosmic to this perfume. All I could smell was a bit of lavender. I didn’t have anyone around me to ask questions about silage or how it smelled on me.

After reading these reviews, I’m so disappointed! I want to smell this! Stupid nose.

Shushanik

This small like Initio has accidentally created a smell of heaven. The opening is herbal, it lasts probably a minute. After that it develops into the most creamy, slightly citrusy plum scent. It’s brilliant.

juliajulia10

Very unique Lavander, sage and incense fragrance. It’s perfect for fall and winter. Also it’s more evening, funky fragrance, would be very strong for office

Moonshine_Strawberries

Wow. My first impression was that it smells nice but isn’t really a good perfume or cologne scent. More like a scented candle smell. But I’ve never seen a fragrance change so drastically. Later I kept sniffing myself all over trying to figure out where the smell was coming from, assuming I was noticing remnants of something from a different day. The dry down is gorgeous. I’m still smelling it on my layer I had on yesterday and am just a bit awestruck by it. I get very spiritual vibes from this wood. I’m thinking it leans masculine enough I should probably pass it on to my husband though.

Scent_Freak

- Went to the mall today to sample, and I must say this is a MUST BUY! Great calming creamy scent! This can be worn all seasons, but I will go kind of light with the sprays on HOT HOT days….that black pepper note, can be a bit to Spivey for the hot heat

- performance is great, I got 10hrs+. The projection isn’t the best, but the sillage is amazing.

UPDATE: I just purchased a bottle 🔥🔥🔥

THE_Scentaholics

Fragrance world, hello!
This scent completes the hedonistic line for initio parfums which started with Musk therapy and rehab. The comments and compliments of the first two are positive and bottle-buy enduring. So, I bought a bottle.

One sniff, and this stuff is warm, fresh, herbaceous with just a hint of spice (black pepper). I own a lot of fragrances. This is in a league of its own. It's sweet, slightly Minty and the palo santo is clean and nostalgic for those of you that are into aromatherapy.

Decidedly, unisex. Lasts, quite a while making longevity a non issue. Doesn't project crazily creates a small arms length fragrance cloud around you. This whole line from Initio parfums has been expertly done!

I have a line of base note fragrance serums I've painted this with and WOW! Add a good oil base to your skin before application and you can definitely punch up the sillage. Do I love this scent? Yes. Does my wife love this yes? Is it unisex? Oh yeah!

Now let's discuss this price point...(cough) $370!
Price of a frag is not a reflection of its quality or likeability so if you're out there chasing cost for quality..stop. if we are honest it doesn't even take $100 to make this scent. (I've made my own and after you buy ingredients in bulk, the unit cost of fragrance is ridiculously low like $10-20 low)
So as it stands right now, I can get my hands on. 90 ml bottle for $260. Not bad. If you find better let me know!

Linda Stormshot

I like it, at least I want to, but seriously I cant think of other than toothpaste in the drydown 😵💫 So annoying because I WANT to love it..

Sillage and longevity seem great!

firebrand99

This so far is my least favorite Initio frag. I’m disappointed in it, to me it has this too-sweet plasticy smell, I did not enjoy this at all. I do however enjoy Psychedelic Love, Rehab, Blessed Baraka and Side Effect. Just not this.

FlaFragLove

Most underrated initio fragrance imo

Ethiopian

Paragon is the new king!!! initio paragon overpowers all the past kings and wannabe kings like Creed aventus, baccarat 540, xerjof Naxos, oud For greatness ,haciviatog , oud and x ..... Paragon beats all .....

You can wear paragon anytime on this earth I mean anytime . I can say so much things about this NEW KING Called paragon it speaks for itself

RGH01

Paragon is a very unique scent profile, and not all for the best unfortunately. It opens straight away with a sweet and fruity plum, alongside lavender and pepper. I find the sage to be very intense and aside from the plum, the main note in this fragrance. The sage is very dry, chalky and almost powdery in a bad way.

As it settles on the skin, the palo santo and sandalwood begin to emerge, however they are continued to be overpowered by this chalky sage that just doesn’t give up. I don’t detect any oud in this perfume unfortunately.

If the sage wasn’t present, I imagine I would really enjoy Paragon - the plum and palo santo combination is lovely but for me the sage ruins it. This was an unsuccessful blind buy for me and I have since moved it on, disappointing.

RhettB27

This is how Gandalf the White smells. And it’s awesome. Clean uplifting white sage is prominent with a familiar creamy white sandalwood to Musk Therapy, even a reminiscent clean muskiness, but overall more masculine and not as floral/bright. More woodsy with a fruity-spiciness layered in bolstering the main clean and aromatic musky profile. It does prove to be a pretty different fragrance and while I wasn’t initially too impressed it sold itself x100 after a few hours. The initial car freshener vibes were a little off-putting but it settled into such a pleasant and comforting/mood-enhancing nature that was a treat to catch whiffs of later during wear. It truly accomplishes being something suitable for nearly any occasion and one you may even feel inclined to wear when just chilling at the house doing nothing. To me it’s another absolute winner from Initio that’s sure to put you in your happy place AND garner affection with its tremendous performance.

marchat

This reminds me of Eilish no. 2, but whereas eilish no. 2 was too masculine on my skin, paragon is more feminine and I still get the palo santo which I love.

vinegarsyndrome

The plum is tart and juicy, the sage and lavender are herbal and licorice-spicy, the palo santo is airy and elevating. Wish I could afford it...

I'm standing on top of a mountain I've just summited, looking out over a green valley and over to other peaks. The fresh, thin air swirls in my lungs, burning pleasantly against my hot insides.

YLC629

I'm pretty surprised that I actually hate this on my skin. I like most of the notes, esp the pepper and palo santo. But the oud in this does me dirty
I like the smell of oud, on other people. When I sprayed this, I initially get a really nice plum and palo santo scent, very pretty, but then the oud comes in and obliterates all of the other notes. All I get from there is a stinky oud. Not a fan

Goopertino

I received a free sample direct from initio on release because I have ordered from them direct. I had to have this.
This is so wonderfully unisex. I would say this is for a confident man who can give a strong, certain of himself vibe while having an effeminate heart to him. *This will not give you that attribute if you don’t already have it in your nature.* I have received fawning compliments personally.
For a woman, I would say this is a little more universal. Slightly. I believe it leans a little on the masculine, therefore; this is a fragrance that would give a display of confidence and serious sensuality on the right woman, yet somehow inviting and drive a sense of comfort for the person who catches the aura.
Absolute powerhouse on sillage and somewhat closer on projection. Adds to the mystique.
Fcking amazing.

Jodyoatman

Smells like yoga. But don’t wear it to yoga, it’s too strong.

Liz-frag

Wow! This one actually is a special one.

Opening is a cherry syrup, very medicinal and sweet. (I know no cherry is listed but it comes up). Then a super therapeutic Palo Santo, extra woody and -to me- leaning masculine, comes through.

This one should be called « rehab » in my opinion. I own rehab and I think Paragon takes you to this medicinal journey until a state of high calm. Too calm…maybe it hasn’t totally worked and you ended up dead.
A great fragrance with evolution, that would be in my opinion, perfect with the right person. Amazing sillage and longevity as always with Initio.
Not a keeper for me, but a great fragrance overall. You should check it out.

Fountain30

To the person below who said this smells like Opera by Xerjoff, thank you! 100% correct !! This is softer and creamier but yeah, if you own Opera I’d pass on this.

AoiUsagi

Somehow, this reminds me of high-end shampoo. I say "somehow," because I've definitely never encountered a shampoo that smells like this, but there's something about the fruitiness that leans that way for me. There is also a strong smoky-woody component which by all rights ought to reduce the hair salon vibes, but it somehow doesn't. That said, I do like it, I just don't know if I'd wear it.

Edit: I actually wear my sample a fair amount! It suits warm weather and androgynous fashion. It makes me think of a cool boyish girl in slightly boho clothes– not full hippie, but a bit carefree and outdoorsy.

carblazehell

I think this is a unisex scent. I really like the way these notes play off each other. At first i wasn't sure, but the longer i wear it, the more i want to smell it. It is very mature smelling to me - not like old lady, but like sophisticated. I picture a woman or man in their 40s or 50s, hosting a dinner party or having drinks after work. This perfume is sexy and business like to my nose. All work...but also some play. I like it.

I should also add...i typically can't tolerate Palo Santo very much....it just had this pervasive sharpness that i don't like. It is brilliant in this perfume! It complements the plum perfectly.

Patj1994

Surprised so many people think this is unisex or even leaning feminine….it’s very masculine on my skin

dabearjew82

I love it. I love musk therapy as well so I was excited for another launch in this line. I see how they gave continued the evolution of musk therapy in this, it's a little more in your face. However, it's very work and in my case gym friendly. I also think it's pretty diverse in that night or day, cold or hot, this can work. Lasts forever as most initios' do, great cloud and trail. Def worth a try if your haven't already.

MorningOud

You walk down the Lumber aisle in Home Depot, while biting into a fresh juicy Plum.

Wasim memon

This is a woody and fruity heaven.
Remind me of Opera from Sospiro with gentle note of oud.

Olааа_la

Masculine version of Rehab… but for some reason the audience of this resource thinks otherwise

JPhase95

I own over 50 fragrances and every time I wear Paragon I get the most enthusiastic compliments, from strangers and people around me. Literally today a woman in the store leaned into me, proceeded to say “sorry, I had to check, you smell amazing 🤩 “ 😂😂 this radiates around you softly and develops through its whole life.. very long lasting and it projects just enough to give you a scent bubble surrounding you. Delicious and mysterious. 10/10 for me.

flugsang

This is the best smelling whisper you're going to hear! I don't mean that in negative way but to me it's a scent that seems to radiate like an aura around you, not a nasal sucker punch like other stronger scents. It's strong for sure! But a quiet strength, if that makes sense, which does line up with the concept.

It does have a setup, like it comes off bright and vivid. I associate it with some kind of fragrant soap more than plum because I've never tasted or smelled plums before lol. Then after a few minutes you're transported to that super soothing & relaxing part of Paragon you've probably read so much about, and it's well worth the wait. There's a sweetness for sure? And a comfort that envelops you. It's one of those smells that I just wanna keep smelling again and again. It was a terrible idea to test out my little decant before a workout because it really does smell soothing.

I do however get reminded of Jo Malone's Myrrh and Tonka overtime. The difference is Paragon is just a tad bit more intriguing, and natural/material-smelling, most likely thanks to the variety of woods thrown in here. It's very expensive though, and it's pretty tricky because I'd love to bathe myself in this, but 2 sprays is practically $1.

ChanelNotes

Pleasantly surprised since I find the house's popular fragrances - Musk Therapy and Rehab to just be ok. This is quite lovely. Blended well and very nice silliage. Moderate projection. I got notes of cherry just to look up the notes and see plum listed instead. it's like a slighty smoky plum. If I still like it after this decant, I might just get a FB.

goosethe1st.1

The best of the house, plum is my favorite note. Delicious plum, smokey from either one of the woods or black pepper, sweet yet dry, and has that same "white clean" feel that musk therapy has. It changes from a sweet juicy plum to an aromatic concoction thats slightly difficult to pinpoint yet very basic at the same time.
Easy to wear all year round yet a bit expensive unless you love the scent, ive only seen it as low as 161 for a tester and those flew of the page. For me its back up worthy and most likely what I do.

sim0nsalas

To me, the creamy/fruity/smoky/resinous dry down is a hybrid of Diptyque Philosykos figs on top of a lighter Tom Ford Plum Japonais incense.

I can't help but love this since it reminds me of two of my favorite fragrances.

My5Scents

Opens with lavender, sage and bergamot, which are particularly mellow and not at all sharp. They’re rounded generously by the star of the show, a voluptuous, ripe, purple plum, all nestling in warm woods. It’s a gorgeous, jubilant opening.
There’s a lovely, slightly magical, otherworldly vibe as you’re enveloped in a cosy, fruity scent bubble.
It’s a very chilled out unisex composition that’s immediately calming and mood boosting. There’s something youthful about it, but obviously it can be worn by all ages.
It’s very adaptable too - I can imagine it working well for a day of chilling out and unwinding at home with some me time but it’s equally got sufficient opulence to work for dressing up and going out for the night.
Projects pretty well with ample longevity.
It’s brave, creative and refreshingly different, Paragon has confounded my expectations of an Initio fragrance.
A delightful surprise.

jbernz14

Very beautiful scent, calming and seductive almost. Get relaxed vibes when wearing this. Opening, you get that plum and sage blast that those who don't like "green" prominent notes won't like. I liked the opening. The dry down settles to a charming fruity, woody, creamy scent. Wildly intoxicating, I can't stop sniffing myself. The First Initio bottle I have a 10ml in Side Effect, which I also love.

arvisk

Oh my is it good! Divine opening which could last for the whole time - I wouldn't be against that at all.
Anyhow, got myself a pre-loved bottle and I'm enjoying every drop of this juice. Intoxicating, hypnotizing, relaxing and soooo transporting to a place where it's just you.
Sure, eventually it dries down to a woody scent and all of meditative material is gone but the base is still really pleasant.
For me, it has no analogues. Unique, modern, great.

WoodsyLove

I'm reading the reviews and I double checked if I've actually sprayed Paragon. Plum - what, where, how? I have Jo Malone's Myrrh & Tonka and this is literally 1 to 1 dupe. I even sprayed JM on my other hand - I have hard time differentiating which one is which. Paragon is heavy myrrh scent and nothing less, nothing more. I know there's no myrrh and tonka in the notes, but I guess that's the mix of palo santo and sandal wood/agarwood. I have original Peruvian Palo Santo, which I burn at home and Paragon smells nothing like it. Overall it's a nice scent, I adore and own JMs version this said I don't need a fb of Paragon. I'm kind of disappointed.

MixJoey

I think I don't like the smell of plum. On paper I was very optimistic about this one but something doesn't feel right to my nose. I'm a little bit disappointed. It smells high quality like every initio. The sillage and longevity isn't very high, at best moderate.

Musk therapy is where it is for me and I will stick to it.

Vickalicious

This one transitions a lot from the opening to the drydown, so it's definitely one to fully test and be patient with to get the full experience. This opens with musk and fruity notes (I'm guessing plum, although it doesn't come across as explicitly plum to me). I didn't get the fruity notes on paper, but I definitely get them on skin. This doesn't have musk in the note breakdown or pyramid, but it's definitely there, and it's the same musk that they use in Musk Therapy. After the initial opening, I get a fair amount of black pepper & sage- that dies down pretty quickly and then this mostly a slightly sweet musk and woods. There's also a decent amount of lavender, which gives a bit of an aromatherapy vibe. I absolutely love the far drydown (6+ hours) where this goes into a masculine-leaning musk.

Performance was good; this lasts all day on me with decent projection. I see this compared to Musk Therapy, which I get as they are using the same musk accord. I also see this being compared to Rehab, which I didn't understand at first, but midway this does have spice that comes across as cinnamon and the lavender that Rehab has (I get no tobacco effect in this). However, all three scents are distinctly different.

I'm not the biggest fan of Initio fragrances, but I think this is one of their better offerings.

seekritdude

Don't have a deep review of this just a first impression, but can I just give this company credit that right when I sprayed this and started giving it a wearing, I was like like you know what, in terms of sheer catalogue of good smelling, wearable fragrances, I can't think of any other niche house besides Kilian that has more than that. Maybe no fragrance is a top 5 for me, but theres just so many from each of these houses that smells good and wearable. This is no exception.

Of course just because I gotta talk some shit though because it still irks me to this day, I do gotta say, it still is some bullshit that I remember when this company was first getting started to shill they sent basically every youtuber multiple free full bottles, to youtubers even smaller than me. And me.. they wouldnt even send a sample too. Guess I don't shill enough. Still love a lot of your fragrances whatever higher up is reading this, but still very suspect lol.

Dirtyhoody

This lands smack dab right between rehab and musk therapy. I find musk therapy more feminine than this and rehab is more masculine than this. I really like it a lot and ordered it to go with the other two.

ammarhyder.1

Very soothing and relaxing scent. 10/10

Uh-umm

Musk therapy is great and all but have you tried this!? Scent and quality blows my mind Real talk. It reminds me of La yuqawam Jasmines wisp except paragon is less in-your-face, more wearable and masterfully blended.

scissorhandedly

I would've adored this, but the plum bothers me (it does in most fragrances). In my opinion, this would've been better without or lighter on the sweet accords.

jemly

based on the notes i should absolutely love this. so many of my favorite things. but to my nose the plum lacks nuance, to the point where it just screams of generic juicy fruitiness, and it takes over everything else. that ruins it for me, i can't get past it. but if you like fruity fragrances, you may be pleasantly surprised by this one ? maybe ?

Chiknight

I just received my bunch of fragrance samples and this one got the strongest reaction out of me..I was like WOAH what is that?! it smells like pure luxury and nostalgia. Very smooth & refreshing. When I closed my eyes and smelled this, I felt like I was transported back in time, When things were great. I can't wait to purchase this bottle. I thought I would like Oud of greatness more, But this one feels very special. Both fragrances are like polar opposites. Oud of greatness is very loud & spicey "A show-off" demanding attention...But Paragon is very suave & smooth..Like walking on the red carpet & all eyes are on you, You naturally command all the attention and intrigue.

Totalcrazys

Ohhh full bottle is on the way ! I can’t wait 😛
After having some ups and downs with this fragrance I came to the conclusion that Iam totally obsessed 🤣🤦♀️
This is so unique that I can’t even put it in words. It changes all the time , it comes and goes somehow during the day that sometimes I think wtf I don’t smell anything at all and than it suddenly hits my nose and Iam in heaven . It is absolutely not overwhelming and doesn’t get on my nerves but still it is there . I love the plum and palo santo so much ! At first I was 100% sure this is more masculine scent but the more i use it the more it starts to smell feminine. It literally describes my personality lol spicy , sweet and warm and yet fresh ! I found my signature scent 🥳 thank you Initio for this gem !
NOTE: ohh and can I just say the bottle and packaging is amazing 🤩 🤤

amateurnose

This is why I love Initio, you may think it's one exact scent but in reality, the mystery 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.

And no, this isn't Musk Therapy 2.0. It doesn't make sense. It's like a quasi-niche take on blue fragrances!

bibsweek202

I get Dolce & Gabbana's The One vibes in the drydown from paper strip with this one

MsPurrfectPearl

This smells like scented lotion. It doesnt smell bad; it just doesnt smell unique. Slightly sweet, the plum is very pleasant and I get some wood; not much spice. I do enjoy it, definitely wearable, Not full bottle worthy for me and my collection.

atv315

Ive sampled Paragon, Side Effect, Abs Aphrodisiaque, Psych Love and Musk Therapy. Of those 5 this is my favorite. I like that this house has a clear point of view, all the scents seem to have a similar “personality” albeit with very different notes. They have cooler profiles and have a fierceness to them. I liked them all and had trouble choosing so I sampled them. Unfortunately for me, all 5 fragrances have a harshness that rubs my nose the wrong way. My mom had the same experience so maybe it’s genetic lol. All their notes are different so I imagine the house might actually like this effect that just happens to not work with my nose. I know someone who I’m sure would love and rock most of them. So this is not to say that Paragon and the others I tried are not high quality fragrances but I don’t see them as safe blind buys fwiw.

frostyicy

Very rarely do I come across a fragrance that absolutely blows my socks off and smacks me dead in my face but oh Initio you have done this with Paragon! I'm not going to overtalk it because honestly there isn't a lot to say. I detect every single note that's listed in this fragrance, which is extremely rare in a fragrance. It does evoke a calming, relaxed mood that really uplifts the spirit.

Scent: 10/10
Versatility: 10/10
Longevity 10/10 (beast mode 16+ hours on my skin)
Projection 9/10
Sillage: 10/10
Seasons: All seasons

This is a masterfully blended fragrance. This is my new signature scent!

RawSmells

Oh my dayzzzzz! Just received this, and sprayed it three times and off the bat it smells divine, which was not really a surprise to me, but Initio seem to have evolved into another level. Their perfumery in Paragon seems to have been taken to a different level, almost as if they have become more refined, more luxurious and extremely well blended, or dare I say more experienced? I feel like saying the latter might be construed as an insult, but it most certainly not, it's a compliment. I paid full price less a little discount, but in all honesty, after smelling it, I would have gladly paid more than their full price.

When I think of the likes of MFKs extracts they don’t even come anywhere near this fragrance. Of course that is my subjective review, others may well have their own view that may contrast, which is never a bad thing :). I'm trying to rack my brain to think of what I can compare this to, or on what level, and I honestly can not. Initio are in a playing field all on their own with this one.

I am just going to sit back and enjoy this one, it's perfumery at its very very finest. Ball out of the field this time Initio!

So I purchased this as a gift to myself about two months ago, and I’m finding that my decision was completely correct.

Initio Parfums’ Paragon (so perfectly named, by the way) is a study in calming and regenerative scents. From the first spray to the drydown, it’s clear this isn’t your average fragrance that just smells lovely, but there seems to be a somewhat “healing” characteristic to the scent (probably the Palo Santo I’m detecting). The plum adds a layer of familiar fruity roundness. By the drydown, a woodiness comes about in the slightest, subtlest oud I’ve ever smelled. The composition of the overall fragrance is quite beautiful—the notes work harmoniously and create this elegant, clean, meditative aroma. The scent profile is honestly what I’d want to be wafted through the vents of a luxurious resort spa, as it truly is that relaxing to me.

Don’t get me wrong, though—while the scent itself may be a bit neutral and safe (in the best ways possible), the performance is beyond what I had expected. This is an extrait de parfum concentration (essentially just a parfum), and so the fragrance is generally expected to perform strongly. However, projecting 7-8 hours after spraying, and still being able to detect it on your skin for up to 24 hours after, is what I was taken aback by. (Though I’ve read this is the case for all Initio fragrances, in which case I’ve gained a thorough respect for the brand.)

Usage wise—I’d say your best bet for Paragon is to wear it in the autumn and winter, at any time of day. I haven’t tested it yet, but based on the notes in the drydown, I’d assume this wouldn’t be as pleasant to wear in warmer weather. Additionally, while for me this leans slightly masculine in the opening, it’s mostly unisex, and as such it’s easily wearable by anyone of any gender. The scent profile might be considered slightly mature by some, though, so be mindful of that.

Other than that, if you’re in the market for a “clean slate”, neutral cold weather scent, I think this is a worthy buy, as the scent profile is truly that unique. This was my very first encounter with Initio’s fragrances, and based on their concoction here, I’ve not only come to appreciate and respect the brand and their masterful and intricate craft, but I’m also excited to try some of their other signature perfumes (looking at you, Side Effect).

SCORE: 98%

UPDATE 10/12/2023: Almost a year after purchase and it's still beautiful as ever. I do have a pro-tip as I just tried it earlier - layer Paragon with Royal Oud from Creed, and the resulting concoction projecting from your skin is a compliment magnet and a half.

I got a sample of this and my first thought was omg this is dior Fahrenheit. It is more on the masculine side but I still love it . Palo Santo is delicious on my skin I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist.
Edit: so the sample I tried was 1,5 ml one and when I ordered 10 ml bottle it smelled nothing like the small 1,5 ml . Opening was completely different sharper very strong alcohol smell and at first I was getting strong smell of urine which I now figured was actually super strong white sage wtf . Iam so confused. I don’t know what happened here . How can it be so different? 😫 10ml bottle is from initio official website and 1,5 ml is from official reseller, Iam thinking maybe the 1,5 tester was old and not so sharp anymore ? My god what a disappointment 😢 after an hour it was all gone and I wasn’t getting anything sweet and no palo santo.
Edit : so couple of days later Iam still using the 10 ml bottle. Dry down is still beautiful but I would love it to be a bit stronger . I have to respray during the day as it doesn’t really last long on me . This is the most crazy perfume experience I ever had lol . It keeps changing and at one point I loved it then I started to hate it and now I am starting to love it again ?🤦♀️ Paragon what are you doing to me 🤣 Btw I figured the difference between 1,5 ml and 10 ml was most probably due to the temperature change ! I sprayed 10ml bottle immediately after it was delivered to me and box was super cold ! Now after a couple of days it smells identical to 1,5 ml ! And I absolutely love it !! 🤦♀️

This is the only Initio perfume that I’ve ever smelled. I started from the last creation of the house but, man, if they are all so good I’m financially in trouble. This fragrance is supposed “to stimulate the brain and experience feeling of positivity” >>> that’s just the way it is. I’m in love.

TabledThoughts

Sage for edginess.
Plum for sweetness.
Palo Santo for sacred woodiness.
Pepper for kick
Timidly sultry.
Subtle sillage.

Unisex.

Typical over the top pricing.

Followup: I honestly don't care for this fragrance at all.

jwelch13

Dry, cold spices/wood with a touch of plum to round it out. Very similar to Rehab but the plum makes it more wearable on my skin. Glad I found it on a discounter site for $215 because $370 is a bit steep

butlrdav

This is a stronger sweeter rehab and I really enjoyed it. Bought on first sniff.

Gabriel.1440

This is in the realem of JPG and other designer bubbelgummy smells. I could imagine that some segments like it but for me it puts initio, besides its sister brand pdm, in the league of nisch houses with the poorest quality

Fanny Chloé

What an Amazing fragrance.
I received a sample via Instagram and boy what a pleasant discovery.
After showering it stays on my skin a long while.
It tends more masculine if I may Say but the plum gives it a feminine touch not over the top tough.
I love unisex fragrance cause they are very well made and usually you don't smell them on everyone in the Street.
This fragrance IS addictive I can't stop smelling it and it has Indeed a somewhat happy feeling to it.
It reminds me of a Narciso Rodriguez musc noir with more depth.

I bought Paragon on New Year's Eve to ring in 2023 with good vibes and ✨spiritual protection✨. how better than with white sage and palo santo?

the plum's powerful fruity sweetness starts strong, but it provides aromatic freshness to the entire composition, and transitions beautifully to creamy sandalwood and sweet oud.

however it's the palo santo that won me over. Within minutes the blonde wood comes forward as the plum takes several seats. the 6-8 hour good-vibes-only dry down gives aromatic creaminess, unique woodiness, and a touch of sweetness to round out the scent. Paragon is 100% unisex, sillage is moderate and steady.

So far I love it, but had it not been NYE and a birthday gift to myself, I would not have spent the dough.

9.5/10. strong marks for casual uniqueness, positive vibes, and niche performance. deductions: for that price you can obviously get several more affordable, even "better" fragrances that best fit your needs. this frag was a splurge for me.

regardless, Happy New Year to everyone! Let's smell fine and love each other in 2023 🥳🎉

Pro_96

I’ve been very curious about this fragrance since its launch earlier in the year (2022), as it has a plethora of notes which I enjoy. Paragon is a fruity, aromatic woody scent which is very versatile and can be pulled off at any time and on any occasion throughout the year, with the exception of hot days in the summer, during which, it may get too much.

It is advertised as a unisex fragrance but to my nose, it leans slightly feminine. Nevertheless, I can see a man with a soft temperament pulling this off.

The opening of this is very fruity and is dominated by lavender and bergamot, which are smell beautiful, but fade quickly into the mid. For the majority of this fragrance, the dominant note in this is plum, a base of oud, and slightest hints of musk. The oud in this is done very differently when compared to most of the famous out fragrances, and only works to elevate the plum. The combination of the plum and oud make it smell very incense-y in the air, and it smells very similar to the combination of tea & incense in Hermes’ L’ombre Des Merveilles. In the late drydown of the fragrance, the sandalwood comes out, and although it is just a skin scent by this point, it is very pleasant. Overall, it is a very relaxing smell, and the quality of the blend is great.

The longevity of this is about 7 - 7.5 hours off my skin, with good projection. It is a very smooth and soft fragrance, and like I mentioned, is very versatile, however, since it smells L’ombre Des Merveilles, my favorite time to wear this is on evenings and nights.

Is it blind buy safe? Absolutely. Nobody is going to dislike this fragrance. But in my opinion, it is not blind buy worthy. It does not do anything groundbreaking and smells very close to a designer which is much cheaper than it, although the performance is slightly better than that, but it is absurdly expensive for what it does.

I’d give this a 7.5/10, and if the prices were lower, I’d have given it an 8. It certainly is worth getting a sample/decant of this to check out if one finds this fragrance interesting and then getting a full bottle if they love it.

EstherR

Good but didn't moved me, not uniq.
The smell is strong, can get tired of quickly, a whole bottle is too much.
Strong, long lasting, sillage modarte.
An evening, winter perfume.

jassca99

I smell fresh clean herbs sprinkled on a freshly cut cedar-like wooden board with fruits sliced on the board and laid on top. Mostly plum in the first few minutes and then mostly a non-tart lemon for the life of the wear. The emission of smell from the fruit juices mingling with the soapy lavender and sage herbs, all soaking into the wood comprises the opening. There’s a hint of spice and mild incense in the background during this time as well, but the two become more present and punchy with time. As if the soaked wooden board was chopped into pieces and burned to incense the area with a woody, clean but not sharp, herbal scent. I don’t get the comparison with Musk Therapy (musky, fruity, creamy, soapy) and Rehab (clean with subtly sweet baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe some dry tobacco added) or see how Paragon (very herbal and soapy, with bright woods) smells like the two combined. Maybe 3-4 hours in, when the sandalwood makes an appearance, I get more of the comparison to Rehab. I do think Paragon shares Musk Therapy’s nice sillage and Rehab’s great longevity though.

A great release, Paragon is plum heaven. I have a 10 ml decant and will choose to wait till it hits discounters. This price point is ridiculous. 9/10.
Edit. Bought the bottle. I got it for $210. When I saw the number I bought it immediately. The wet plum note sits aquatic even with dryer elements like the sage and Paolo Santo. I think this is what gives it this Cooling effect others have spoken of. It smells cool, but not cold. I dunno if that makes sense. Lol. Perfectly unisex, definitely something you should check out!

Crackers #29

The first half an hour or so made me think someone had taken the underpinning dna from the Hugo Boss - The Scent range and, well, niche-ified them. Paragon is quite a complex scent on the whole, changing subtly as the hours go by, ending with my favourite part, the far dry down where things soften to a semi-sweet, dry, woody, ...

Doeyez72

I own Musk Therapy and Rehab. I do get similar vibes to Rehab, smelling very little musk , but that is to my nose. I find this offering unisex , maybe leaning slightly masculine. But my male friends find Rehab and Paragon too feminine for their taste. But these friends are not into niche fragrances either so not surprised. Anyhow. I have a 7.5 ml travel spray and I am happy to use this up at some point.

Farrque

Pleasant, velvety, candied plum & raspberry opening with a powdery white musk & sandalwood sweetness becoming more prominent by the minute. Faint hints of incense and/or something lightly peppery in the background.
Reminds me a lot of Rehab's level of sweetness and fruity character.

After about 30 minutes it's more to my liking, revealing notes of black pepper, suede, hints of cardamom and the faintest hint of cumin. Lovely and honestly addicting drydown.

Ilikewhatilike

Very nice. I own rehab and I get some of its dna. Three plum is a very very nice addition. Does feel a bit more aromatic and less sweet than rehab. Fantastic fragrance.

since88

Opening sweet it is almost undefined whether it is for a man or a woman.
Then it becomes a boring male classic.
Old, boring and not at all creative.
moves into the genre: Roja Apex, MFK Masculine Pluriel, Dior Elixir...
it's not the same but it's that sub-genre layer / theme.

Nessers

Where have you been all my life! This is exactly what I have been looking for. A spiritual experience in a fragrance. First of all I have yet to smell anything like it. So when you spray it for the first time, it is almost a new sensory explosion. If you are already in the mindset of spirituality... Energy cleansing, nature, alternative medicine etc. This fragrance Will bring you back to center. It's incredibly aromatic, slightly sweet, definitely blonde wood and expertly blended. Jesus I need $400.

302JH

I may have found my new signature scent for the warmer months.

spiceysauce5

Without looking at the notes I wouldn't have guessed plum, as this isn't fruity in the way I typically would think. Blind sniff, I got "extremely high end body wash/shampoo smell" in a good way.

Remember the first time you smelled your favorite shampoo and were huffing while squeezing the bottle until you accidentally spilled a glob onto the shower floor? ....Oh, maybe that was just me. Either way, a good scent. I don't get any smokiness from the palo santo, and do get a good dose of sweetness that removes any masculine vibe. Again, like a shampoo that smells good, not necessarily super masculine or feminine. For this reason I don't love it, as I don't find it to have much "character" despite it smelling high quality.

Elle's Bells

Paragon is a nice fragrance. It's very aromatic and I love how the plum shines in this. However, after wearing it a few times, I began not to like it so much as I noticed that it would pull very masculine on my skin. This probably would smell amazing on a guy. Pass for me.

zimmer73

Just HAD to buy this today!
It is like a symposium of several of the other Initio fragrances, put together..in a mesmerizing way.
It is so well blended, and the woodsy, together with the lavender and sweet fruits is sooo good!
It has been a long time since I smelt a fragrance this good ❤️

zeelenas

I sprayed ONE spritz of this on my arm directly on skin in the morning and I could smell it THROUGH MY COAT in today's sunny 40-45 degree weather 3-4 hours into the wear.
6 hours later I'm still getting whiffs of plum and aromatic lavender and sage. The sandalwood is starting to come out. I'm not getting much oud at this time. If anything it's playing a supporting role in the background to add some depth to the fragrance.
Longevity seems very promising at this time and there's definitely a scent trail/bubble. Initio's extrait de parfum concentration is no joke!
I feel like it's unisex leaning slightly masculine. Perfect addition to the Hedontist collection. Very spiritual smelling. There's that clean creaminess that's present in rehab as well so there's definitely a similarity there.
A strong like for me right now. Can't wait to test it some more on myself and my guinea pig (husband) ;)

janine57

Reminds me of rehab but with a fruity twist. I love rehab more but found this at a discount probably wouldn’t have paid full price. It’s very nice and very unisex if you like a plum bomb.

dabearjew82

I just bought it and it's 100 percent not a fem scent AT ALL. Gut bellow me has no clue! Then again the lady below him said musk therapy was a fem scent, I am very masc and it's one of my favorites, wear it all the time compliments a lot as well. Fem scents are heavy vanilla and whit floral, this and musk therapy are neither

Lashtx43

Aromatic and juicy at the same time. The plum here shows up a few minutes after first spray. Unisex thanks to the plum but I think leans masculine.
This makes me happy in a Creed Adventus way... these are not the same but kind of. Like a peppery adventus minus apple/pineapple but add plum.
Sorry for the word vomit.. this is a solid release from the house.

dcjimr

Clean woody aromatic to my nose. White sage, palo santo, plum and sandalwood are the main notes I detect. Smells a bit vintage. Pleasant but I would not pay the price being charged in the U.S. Update: as opposed to most other Initio perfumes, this one smells more natural. Bought a travel size because I just couldn't get it out of my head and you don't need much of this!

Mr. Fisk

Really digging this fragrance. From this house I've only tested this and Side Effect and I prefer this over S.E. Now is it worth $400?? Maybe have half that.

Rjdee

With limited testing, this smells like plum mixed with Oud for Happiness. I actually think it’s very nice, since I almost enjoyed Oud for Happiness, but thought it missed the mark. Will edit post with respect to performance since this house has been recently struggling in that department.

RodrigoMartinho

Just amazed. Its insanely good !!!

rizasman

This is not a feminine perfume. This is really masculine and maybe unisex. It’s not a special fragrance but not a bad one.It reminds you fresh blue perfumes at first.I didnt get oud.And this is not related to Rehab(much better than this)I will talk more about it later.

thenoseknows85

To jvnteran & Hebe44, Paragon doesn't smell like 1Million Lucky. Paragon is, like others have said, clean fruity and woody. No real dirty smell from Oud so don't worry. The opening is a combo of fresh Clean and fruity. Then the woods come into play. Everything is very smooth and well blended that nothing really sticks out.

*EDIT*
Been wearing a spray for the last few hrs after trying at Neimans.1st off Paragon is strong! 2nd Paragon has elements of a few other Initio fragrances: Fresh lavender and slightly pepper/smokey vibe from Rehab
Fruity fresh clean vibe from Musk Therapy
Slight animalic sweet woody vibe of Blessed Baraka(tiny but if you know Blessed Baraka you'll notice it)
Smooth woods and Oud from Oud for Happiness

violeteme

As the rest of the white bottles line, this continues that therapeutic, spa, calming woodiness idea. Basically, first impression was that it smells of fruity, herbal tea. Very musky throughout! And so the notes agree with this impression, sage and plums are very prominent. There is also some strong woodiness felt. Paragon is a nice, calming, relaxing and unisex perfume. It's not ground breaking, but this line is quite perfect for everyday wear, doesn't require to be all dressed up for it, it could even be a stay-at-home scent.

jvnteran

I have a question! Does this bring any similarity to 1 Million Lucky? (because of the plum and woods)

aromaskanque

Yummy.
Reminiscent of juicy fresh quince fruit you get at the opening of ADP Quercia, but refined, subtle and with smokey palo santo, and effervescent sweet bubble gum overtones.Silage is within personal bubble and immediate surrounding space, maximum of 6-7hrs on me. Multi dimensional on skin, from start to finish. It's androgynous, smells more masculine on dry down. I can see how it may not fit many people as it overlaps gender and identity. Could be too masculine for females to wear. Very fresh and versatile, and best for warmer climates and day time wear IMO, I could see this become a signature scent for many, limitation being the sticker shock on this one as almost 400$ a bottle. 9/10.
Favorite Initio scents:
- Blessed Baraka
- Magnetic 8
- Rehab
- Side Effect

since88

Who is master perfumer behind this creation ?

Celestya

A woody spicy fragrance with the notes of palo santo, sage, lavender and sandalwood. Plenitude! You are in an initiation ceremony. Not so sweet with the plum. More masculine to my opinion. Very different of Rehab and Musk Therapy to my nose. For me, I prefer Rehab in this line.

In this brand, I love: Side Effect, Atomic Rose, Rehab and Musk Therapy.

venusingemini

I absolutely LOVE this release. There isn’t much to compre it to in my opinion, this is really unique. It smoky, dark, and fruity. Two notes stand out the most to me throughout the entire fragrance journey. The plum, which adds a slightly fresh, sweetness to the fragrance, and the palo santo, which gives this super sexy smokey vibe almost like you’ve been sitting by a fire. I do pick up the other notes throughout the fragrance but those two stuck out the most and stay the longest. I think this is completely unisex and would be super sexy and mysterious on a man or woman. The scent reminds me of a small town in Texas called Marfa and I imagine it on someone with an earthy, witchy vibe.

iszzieanna

A spicy, fruity and soft fragrance from Initio.

On my skin, this fragrance took a while to bloom. The smokey palo santo is definitely present. But it quickly turns more into a supporting note as the plum takes centre stage. This bloomed into a warm, spiced plum with lots of lavender. The lavender note is reminiscent of the Hedonist line (Musk Therapy/Rehab), but is in no way a dupe.

I was expecting to be blown away, but I will not be buying a full bottle of this.

Sereen84

This has absolutely nothing to do with Musk Therapy. This is a dry, herbal smell with a bit of sweetness and a cool minty vibe in the drydown.

Divinest

While I did smell this scent when it first came out, my experience with the bottle has been different to the official sample I had from Initio. So I've opted to revise this review in March 2023.

With my original sample, Paragon opened feminine-aromatic with a known (well-recognizable) musky-type sweetness. But what I noticed with the bottle is that the drydown did not lean on these tones that much, giving the scent more of a unisex if not masculine leaning vibe. I say that because the smokiness from the palo santo is far more present as the owner of a full bottle vs. the scent profile I got with my sample.

Additionally: when I wrote this review, the "Smells like" section included both of the other Hedonist scents (Musk Therapy and Rehab). The drydown on my sample was a copy of Rehab, but the scent in the bottle doesn't dry anything like Rehab. Similarly, the only tones of Musk Therapy are some of the ones you get in the open.

Scent wise it's still around an 8 out of 10. Good airiness for ~3 hours, subject to higher body temperatures / open-air environment. Longevity wise it's in the ballpark of 8 hours, so nothing mind-blowing. Initio subsequently hiked the price on this from €245 to €250 which isn't a relevant enough change to alter value proposition. This is a great spring aromatic. If you don't have enough scents dedicated to the spring season (like a Gris Charnel Extrait, or an Ani), then this could be worth your time.

Rconectn

I will make this a short review. The Hedonist Collection is my favorite from all the offerings from this house. For some reason I find this collection very calming and Paragon is no exception. Paragon is a very aromatic perfume with a touch of pepper. The plum note gives this fragrance a faint fruity smell during the mid and dry down, it’s soft and not overpowering at all. The woody base adds an extra layer of depth. Even though it’s not listed as an ingredient I do get a very clean musk smell in the very beginning for a few minutes. My only gripe would be that after about 3 hours I can no longer smell it around me but it’s noticeable if a person is right next to you. Not everything needs to be beast mode and this would be perfect scent for a date night especially if you’re just getting to know each other 😉 it really is a beautiful scent and I believe it merits a full bottle. This fragrance truly can be used year round, I give it a solid B+

Cdub5_

Initio does it again!

This is an absolutely fantastic fragrance that I believe will be a big hit with the community. It has a unique factor that I appreciate while maintaining a wonderful scent.

Would not hesitate to buy a full bottle of this.

LauraVTerrazas

Stronger better version of musk therapy.

And I love musk therapy.

🥰

Edit: I love musk Therapy more lol

OnyxLotus

Paragon opens ironically like a 50-50 split of two other offerings in the Hedonist line (Musk Therapy & Rehab) bridged with sage and plum. However, it is a non linear fragrance and seems to have three stages.

After the first hour the Palo Santo becomes more prominent which adds to the woody sandalwood backbone. This is the soft spicy and creamy woody accord reminiscent of rehab. The last addition to develop is the subtle Oud, the musty damp wood variety.

All in all Paragon is an ultra creamy sandalwood paired with Palo Santo, smooth lemony musks, and is accompanied by a soft fruity plum and subtle agar wood.

Very pleased with this offering and enjoying it significantly more than Initio’s last two offerings. Performance is impressive, I can still clearly smell it 15 hours after application.

texasfreedom

Nail polish vibe. more along the OFG line. its good but not $370 good. I'd wait to get it on sale or discount.
sample first.

Elegant Spice

Easily my signature scent now! I don't believe there is oud in this as it's not mentioned on their website - I love this! You've got to try this as with all Initio perfumes you need to try before you buy!

nicetosmellyou

Lovely fragrance as expected from Initio, I mostly get fruity candied plum with palo santo. In the background you have the sandalwood, lavender and oud to bring some freshness and smokiness.
Fantastic release

Inguciukas

To be honest, I don't agree that this perfume is cooling. In fact, it warms me up and surrounds me with the wonderful smell of Palo Santo incense mixed light oud, plump and santalwood. Peper, bergamote, levender i smell just at the beginning. Right after I started looking for a way to my soul, I started looking for a similar scent that I smoke often in my room (Palo Santo) and I told myself if I find a real scent with such a note, it will definitely be mine. I'm obsessed I can't stop smelling it on myself and at the end of the day it's still on my skin after 5 hours. I have always dreamed of such a scent. I just adore it!

axton44

I agree with Photonparable in that Paragon has a “cooling” vibe coming from the lavender/sage combo. I found the opening to be very soothing and pleasant, with just enough sweetness to round the edges of the punchy lavender/sage opening. 10 mins after application it turns creamy on my skin and dries down to a skin scent within an hour. I know mint isn’t listed in the note breakdown, but It reminds me a bit of those hard candy mints you get at restaurants (the sweet spearmint flavor that has the green and white swirl pattern). Definitely crowd pleasing and inoffensive, but maintains an intriguing quality. It does remind me a bit of Rehab, except it replaces the spices with lavender/sage. This fragrance is well blended, however I just feel “meh” about it. I would definitely sample before buying.
