Acqua di Giò Absolu by Giorgio Armani is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for men. Acqua di Giò Absolu was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas. Top notes are Sea Notes, Bergamot, Pear, Apple, Grapefruit and Lemon; middle notes are Lavender, Rosemary and Geranium; base notes are Woody Notes, Tonka Bean, Amberwood, Patchouli and Labdanum.

GIORGIO ARMANI ACQUA DI GIO ABSOLU, the new creation of the Acqua di Gio fragrance line, is the work of the Master perfumer Alberto Morillas. Mr. Morillas was also the creator of the first Acqua di Gio from 1996, as well as the first female Acqua di Gio from 1995, Acqua di Gio Essenza from 2012 and the marvelous (and my favorite) Acqua di Gio Profumo from 2015.

The new version of the iconic Acqua di Gio edition, an Absolu variation, is presented in 2018 as a marine-woody interpretation in which fruits, marine notes and a wooden base create harmony in a new, expressive way.

The fragrance has been announced as one that brings a new sensuality to the collection and as a sophisticated and masculine mixture of marine aromas with patchouli. The composition celebrates the fusion of water and wood; the new chapter of Acqua di Gio shares the expression of a man's connection with nature, and the liberation of his inner strength and freedom.

"Giorgio Armani's latest fragrance for men emphasizes the very essence of water and its essential role in the natural world. This is a world seen through the eyes of Giorgio Armani, where the alliance of water and wood takes us on a journey into timeless masculinity, embracing a deeper overall consciousness. With the ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU fragrance for men we see an incarnation of the man, highlighting a wise and conscious sensibility, as well as an understanding of the elegance of refined luxury. A fresh signature fragrance for men has been created, using marine notes and patchouli. The patchouli provides the perfect balance between the aquatic fragrance and the woody aromas, creating true masculinity with a sensual twist that is at the heart of the fragrance. This unique alliance of wood and aquatic freshness makes patchouli nature's perfect ingredient."

The composition is sensual, warm, elegant. In addition to the marine notes, fruits and patchouli that form the main theme, reflecting the charismatic fusion of water and wood in this composition, notes of bergamot, rosemary, lavender and geranium are added to reflect masculinity. The balsamic warmth of tonka bean and labdanum are used to emphasize the sensual side of the scent.

The new ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU celebrates a vital, natural sensuality through the eyes of photographer Matthew Brookes and film director François Rousseau. The campaign is centered around the classic essence of water, as well as the vibrant natural relationships between water, minerals and wood, starring model Jason Morgan who embodies the conscious ACQUA DI GIÒ values.

"At the top of the ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU fragrance is a natural, wooden cap made from ash (Fraxinus), which is derived from sustainable production, then lacquered and engraved with the iconic Giorgio Armani monogram. Together the cap and the collar merge, reflecting the wooden and aquatic accords of the fragrance itself." The flacon is made of transparent glass and the color of the liquid is in warm amber nuances.

ACQUA DI GIO ABSOLU is available in 40ml Eau de Parfum, 75ml Eau de Parfum and 125ml Eau de Parfum.

Just got it today. It's a fruity aquatic fragrance. Reminds me of Dr. Oetker's puddings, in a good way. It's not a wow but it's not a meh either. It's a people-pleaser and I can see where all the positive attention is coming from.

Performance is impressive. I could pick it up 4 hours after spraying it once on my neck. It's a skin scent after the 8th hour. Haven't went outside to test it, yet. Will keep the post updated. I don't know if I can wear this in the high heat tho. I live in a place where temperatures go as high as 42°C and it might become a mess.

The smell reminds me of Invictus but the dry down is way better. The dry down of Invictus reminded me of sweat and nasty odor in general while this one doesn't evolve in such a way, it stays pretty much the same- fruity, aquatic, creamy, exotic. I usually wear fragrances like ADG Profumo and the whole Eros line during the winter but I don't know about this one. It's too fruity/exotic for the winter and it would feel so out of place, even for me. I wouldn't say it smells expensive.

As for versatility I don't imagine myself wearing it with a suit, as shown in one of the pictures above with Laurence Olivier speaking with Marilyn Monroe and Susan Strasberg. Very misleading advertisement if you ask me.
It would fit a cotton linen shirt- short or long sleeved and cotton linen pants- short or long. It's too Hawaii/Miami beach vibe for formal occasions.

Don't get me wrong this isn't a negative review. The fragrance is great but it's not versatile as others are saying.

BrianBorous

Where did y’all get the impression that this is discontinued!? I just contacted Armani and it’s still in production.
Anyways, the best summer fragrance I’ve smelled. Exudes an effortless aquatic and exotic sexiness. Projection and longevity are incredible. Nothing but compliments and questions about what I’m wearing.

Welshguy

The only Acqua di Gio I own is the newest Parfum, and I sampled Absolu just today. If I'm completely honest, it smells almost exactly the same. This one is a tad lighter and softer and sweeter it seems, whereas Parfum is cleaner and the notes standout more and are more refined. Would personally rank the Parfum 8.5/10 and this a 7/10. Parfum is a much better scent in my opinion.

Rakoon

I got this from the official Armani website and I can say this is really good stuff. I was surprised by the longevity and projection and really did exceed my expectations. (maybe I am lucky with my batch) it does really last all day long and for the projection it is really stroong for the first two hours and then it start to weaken down but never disappears I still smell this when I move around. make sure you over spray a bit to get extra of the performance.

Rich Aquatic citrusy scent This thing is addicting! + It's my favorite in the line :)

kamilbori

This is by far the best fragrance I've ever had. It's my first fragrance, I've tried everything possible since then, but nothing ever compares to this fragrance. It's so sophisticated, obtrusive, expressive, sexy and yet so soft, unpretentious and gorgeous. From the first moment you smell this fragrance, you imagine yourself in a summer shirt with a drink in your hand at a beach bar with a gentle breeze in your hair, surrounded by attractive women or men (according to your taste). Morning relaxation on a sunrise lounger with the soft sound of sea waves, but also an evening party in the club. This fragrance will bring back memories of what never happened. It will engage your imagination in all your senses, it is up to you when, where, with whom and how you want to be. The best fragrance you can buy... I will never change this fragrance for anything else, it is a jackpot for me.

Thegrimmreaderr

My husband's favorite cologne. Smells so good on him. Sexy! Just bought him a backup bottle. On the hunt for similar fragrances and/or dupes. Let me know what's out there!!

NecroLust

People are finally showing this one some love, unfortunately it is too late. Price is creeping up, scalpers are gone scalp. Fruity, fresh and versatile with bestial performance. The wooden cap is a nice touch, amazing atomizer, and beautiful amber colored liquid in a transparent bottle. What else could a man want?

HaroldShepherd2310

I used to like it but kinda smells like a wet dog now

hussrahal

Best Acqua di Gio, shame they cut the best one. The only one that was different.

CraigB

Absolutely fantastic stuff that lasts. It's fresh but it isn't obnoxious. The woods are perfect and this doesn't smell oldschool or like body wash. I have 3 bottles!

ElNino-7-

Grabbed another bottle of this (my old one ran out a year or two back) so I could remind myself of what it's like before it becomes impossible to get.

It's fantastic, and just like Profumo I didn't fully appreciate it until a couple of years later. My tastes have changed a lot (for the best in my opinion) a lot in this time.

I echo the thoughts of others - fruity, classy, unique. Perfect summer night scent. An absolute crying shame it's been discontinued!

neilvizuett

Love at first sniff, really pleasant from start to finish, super safe to buy, I'd say it goes well with my personality, linear smell from start to finish but in a good way, since it really smells gorgeous, office safe, delicate smell.

Prunel

Glad to see this is finally over 4/5. It's a very good fragrance.

mesterlorand

Absolute love of mine. It's fresh, youthful, has a fizzy vibe while it's sweet and inviting. Best ADG without any doubt (haven't tried Profondo Lights, tbh). I wish they came out with a parfum / elixir version of it!

jameslee

Best Aqua Di Gio hands down that wont have you smelling like an elderly man like profumo. Its fruity, woody, marine, sweet, aquatic, fresh and masculine. Gets hella compliments and longevity and projection are very good too. 100% recommend it for any season fo the year, 10/10.

msinopoli78727

I don't know which AdG I like better, this or AdG Parfum but both are outstanding! I live in Texas and Absolu is the perfect date-night scent for hot, humid nights. Has the clean, fresh AdG DNA with a seductive woody sweetness that isn't cloying. One of my absolute fav frags and I'm so disappointed to hear that it's discontinued. Will definitely be on the lookout for a backup bottle.

heysmell

I have an whole bottle, because I keep reaching for Profumo, which is better.

hussrahal

The best Acqua di Gio, so uplifting and fruity. Would take this over any of them, and it performs the best on me.

Arsenal Till I Die

The only ADG that performs how a fragrance should. Sort of in that invistus/hawas/Born in Roma category but more woody and a more mature sweetness. I also did get compliments wearing this because people could actually smell it. If it is discontinued then at least I got to experience this one and use up a 75ml bottle.

jj7642

Discontinued? I don't get it. It's by far the number one compliment pulling fragrance in my collection. I've literally never worn it without receiving a compliment.

It's incredibly fresh and classy, with a bit of sweetness that is so pleasant to the nose. The performance is great. The best of the ADG line by far. Armani, why do you always kill a good thing?

GLuv-85

Understand, that while this is compared to Hawas and Invictus, this is quite a bit less brash and infinitely classier than those.

I like to call this the Silver Fox Invictus and that this is what the successful father of the “Chads” that would rock Hawas or Invictus would wear. Chad grown up if you will. Still great smelling and playful (and VERY attractive females from my experience) but slightly more reserved.

A crying shame it’s discontinued but best believe me there will be a 200ml next to my half used bottle in the near future.

Criminally underrated compliment puller!

The_Cologne_Boy

Lady’s love it

JamesDeanpogi18

Finally, I bought the perfume. The smell is really generic, imagined aquatic in the gourmand teritory. But I like this, and can finally wear this at autumn time. The smell kinda like candy, powdery, vanilic, because of the pear note, not cloying enough to use this in the heat of summer. Can compare this with invictus and hawas, but this type of fragrance can be used in summer time, but I will use it in the autumn to Christmas, where in the Philippines, we celebrate Christmas early with the start of the month of September. 9/10 Just completed my ADG line collection!

RyanDaRaider

The best ADG PERIOD. This is the one with the wood looking cap guys. Just so we are all clear on this. I own several Niche colognes and let me tell you this stacks up there with the best of them and this is just a designer cologne. I feel like this cologne is slept on BIG TIME. I put this on and immediately get complements EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Your Welcome, buy a bottle.

jakerei

The combination of Invictus sweetness mixed with ADG’s prominent aquatic notes here honestly just made me sick. Scrubbed this off when I got home.

I respect their decision to discontinue this.

Nnhgcddrhkmbfcnnjhgc

Really nice opening. Great mix of fruits and citrus . Unfortunately there’s something in the base I just don’t like and that seems to last and last. I get crazy performance and sillage off my skin

RexTenebris

I’m confused about the low ratings and hate on this one. I think it’s a hidden gem.

Here’s how I’ll put it: it’s Hawas (which is great/ fresh/ safe and gets a ton of compliments) except costs more for higher quality.

That’s how I see it. My higher quality Hawas. Safe for everything, have already gotten a ton of compliments.

9.5/10

Sunwaves

Wore this the other day and got three compliments. Great take on AdG with subtle hints toward the original Dolce & Gabbana for men. It can also be seen as Acqua di Gio via Laura Biagiotti's Roma Uomo. Solid stuff and a total surprise.

#543 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

Got this as a spray sample. I've wanted to try it out for a while, but it's nothing out of the ordinary at all. It's nice enough, but very generic, though it's a definite improvement over Acqua di Gio, which comes across to me as an astrigent, sour scent. This is a warm-weather citrus-woody-fruity freshie, versatile enough for anything but black tie, but you simply don't have to pay $1 a milliliter for a very commonplace freshie like this. Mercedes-Benz Select Night EDP, is a little stronger and sharper on the citrus notes, for $53. Boucheron's Jaipur EDP for $30 adds a cinnamon note to this profile, as does Rasasi Hawas for $40. All three perform the same as the Absolu. La Rive Prestige Brown is only $10, but that one, though sold as an EDP, is EDT potency like every La Rive clone, so you'll need to respray, but you can't really complain about the potency of a $10 clone. Really very little difference in the scent profiles overall, so why would you pay $100 for a 4oz bottle of Absolu? I have had them all, though I gave the La Rive away over the potency. I've worn Jaipur off an on since it was introduced in 1997, Hawas and Night Select the past year, but all three are perfectly acceptable scents for most any purpose, so take your pick. But don't pay 2x just for the ADG branding.

Good luck and good hunting!

ayoub78

not my favourite weak performance and smells bad quality

harraldinho

My least favourite of the aqua di gio line. This does not mean it is a bad fragrance, I still wear it from time to time.

marcusdesbo

I really like this fragrance. I took it from my dad, and had quickly used half of it. Dont listen to the ones who hate on the absolu version, I think its the best in the ADG line.
Really mass appealing.
Overall = 8,5/10

Filepp

Since my dad had acqua di gio the original clear bottle, and profumo is way too popular and maybe even discounted.
I tried most of the adg flankers they had in a local shop and went with this one.

My main problem with this one is, i like it but i do not love it.

This is a fling in a party, which you enjoy, but think nothing more of.

I cant even tell what occasion would i wear this to, maybe every casual i ever have, but definitely not a special time, going to the store for groceries, im not sure.....

I can smell some sea notes and fruits, but from a brown liquid with a cap like this i expect something different, even tho i know, what is the original adg dna and that this is ''just a flanker''

hanginglimbs

Vile. Smells like Hawas, which is also vile.

AhmedWSWA

not the best cologne I've tried but it is pleasing. it has a nice woody sweet scent to it and it doesn't smell like alcohol at all when you first spray it which is always good. towards the end of the dry down, it gets a little less sweet and has a vanilla wood scent to it. something that shocked me was how long this bad boy lasted and how perfect the projection was. I sprayed it at about 8 am and could smell it on my wrist till 11 pm, but at that point, it almost had this rubber tire smell which was weird but it wasn't exactly bad. personally, I give Absolu an 8/10 as it is my favorite out of the whole ADG line and it is a pretty safe blind buy if you like wood notes.

Scarfac3 5.7

This is officially Discontinued, Armani moved it to the discontinued section in their site. It is still available to buy in the 4.2 oz size as last chance. It’s still widely available in other stores but once it sells out it’s gone for good. It’s one of Armani’s most underrated fragrances. It’s a solid 9/10 for me on e of my favorites. Profondo will definetly be next there trying to simplify the line only the EDT,EDP and the newer Parfum will remain.

arminn

Discontinued, this is what happens when you follow senseless opinions from others and not your own nose.

hussrahal

Best ADG.
Sorry, not sorry.

512ATX

I dislike most ADG offerings because they feel dated to me. But this is gorgeous. The open is very unique to my nose. The marine dry down is very similar to light blue intense. It’s a room filler too. I think this is a year round go anywhere scent. Fruity, marine, woody. Well blended. Not synthetic smelling. Kind of addicting I can’t stop smelling it.

Frag0Fiend

When I first got into fragrances this one in particular always caught my interest, especially because of all the hate I saw online about it. Everyone says that this is the worst ADG in the line, but after sampling it I had to get a bottle. My favorite ADG and still very underrated in the community. IMO it does smell similar to the OG DNA w/ more fruityness and sweetness.
9/10

JangJun

Very light smell on my body. Dry down very soft vanilla cinnamon or woody scent.
Don’t need to try or buy it.

connerb

Very good mass appeal dude scent. It’s a great for pretty much anything it’s put into. I wore this in high school and freshman year of university and it surprisingly got a lot of compliments even though I’m not to crazy about it. Best way I can put it is that it’s great at being good.
6.5/10 just because I personally find it boring but it’s still good.

OzzyEyes

So I sprayed Acqua Di Gio Absolu yesterday and WOW it's amazing! To my nose and on my female skin, ADG Absolu is a blend of the original ADG and Stronger With You, so it's got that aquatic watery vibe from ADG, plus a weaker, less sweet Stronger With You vibe.

Absolu is discontinued and I wondered if they would bring out something similar in their newer refillable bottles (like the new Parfum is a remake of the discontinued Promumo), but given Stronger with you Only is a weaker, less sweet version of SWY for warmer weather, I figure SWY Only is taking the place of ADG Absolu, particularly because many people in the fragrance world thought the Absolu flanker should have been in the SWY line.... I'll take ADG Absolu over SWYO any day, and I can totally smell the original ADG DNA in this fragrance, it was a perfect flanker in this line and I'll be getting a back up bottle.

Great for a mid to late teen and up to 25 years old, or even up to mid 30's depending on the type of man wearing it and his personality.

BrianFantana

The fact that this barely has a 4.0 but Hawas has a 4.4 tells you exactly how seriously you should take people on this forum.

1uckynumb3r

Another invictus like. valentino uomo born in roma and so on.
Nothing to do with Acqua di gio dna, just a money grab.
Choose the original(invictus) or Rasasi Hawas if u want these type of smell.

tamzidaziz

Hello everyone! No doubt it’s an absolutely fantastic mass pleaser. However, I can easily be assure that alberto created an inspired version from this and that is called office for men. At the dry down of Absolu there is a clear statement of moderate dose of ambroxan which resonates the office for men DNA

Vette07

At first I was like it’s alright, didn’t pay attention to it until a couple of months later and wow! How in the world I ignored this gem of a perfume. It’s a pleasant aroma beginning to end.

spaceybailey

I love this cologne with all my heart. It's definitely in my BFs top three. This is bold and breathtaking. It's Lori Fosters FOREVER BUCKHORN. I can't exactly put it into words. But know this, I spray it on my BFs dressy long sleeves and wear them to bed. I love smelling like him, specially in the morning when he leaves for work. I feel like his arms are still around me.. As if he never left. Crisp apples, glazed pears, bougie baby lavender lotion, beach house bonfire & the smell of the ocean at night. This is super long lasting, don't pay any attention to those who say they have to spray it multiple times to get an actual scent out of it. Those are the same ones that drive girls CRAZY, and NOT in a good way, but in a "I'm getting a headache" kinda way. It's sexy, clean and mysterious. Losers won't like it, ONE spray is more than enough, unless you're FUGLY and need tons of it to get some attention. Cowboy approved. Buckhorn brothers approved. Best if worn at night. BISOUS

Cdub5_

Bought a sample...Loved it
Bought a 125ml bottle, seemed...different.
A couple years later I realize the bottle I bought was the earliest formulation of this dating Dec 2017. I believe a year or so after initial release they tweaked the formula, and I think this is one of the rare instances where a reform actually improved the fragrance.
This fragrance is the absolute definition of "under the radar" fragrance. Simply fantastic, yet overshadowed by nearly everything. Those of us who know...cheers!!

aliilo2

For me this is better than profumo and it is superrrrrrr underated.
Fresh with some woody sweetness, the best thing about this one it is not hyped and rarely owned so it is special 😉😁.

kashii

Pretty basic smell but basic is never bad.

Good fragrance, use it a lot at home- very fresh.

Flatoutchad

One of the best openings moments out of anything I have. Reading the comments below it seems quite mixed. Lot of love's, tons of likes, plenty hate. I can't speak for everyone, but I absolu love this scent (😊).. Seeing the level of polarizing reviews, definitely get a sample or decant to try out on you. I love all that fruit right when you spray it, you can smell each and every fruit note on the top. I can't think of any other scent that the notes are so clear to the nose.

Summer buddy for me. 💜❤️

Lucabear

one of the most underrated fragrances, I got a sample of this with an order not too long ago and I cant help spraying it on my arm all the time. I'm wating for a good deal on a 200ml because this is definitely signature sent worthy

senthypulls

When first spraying you have a strong alcohol sensation then dried down to a nice vanilla like sweet feel. It's good for enjoying by the pool side. Some people i know who smelt this don't hate it nor like it and sometimes the price may be a little bit unjustifiable. Overall 7/10

RIIM04

Tried it out at Sephora today and the performance is pretty good. It’s been 9 hours, a shower, and I can still smell it on my arm. Best sweet fragrance for summer in my opinion. Will be buying a full bottle soon

Ryanjkim

I love the hate this fragrence gets. Please do not get this flanker! (I'm gatekeeping, i want less people to wear this)

domanimani

Wow, just wow.
I've had this for 5 months and I'm in love, I'm ADDICTED to labdanum in this, it just fits so well in and binds everything, just incredible.
The opening of this juice is just a mind blowing experience, citruses and fruits then the ocean notes, makes you feel like you're at the beach drinking some lemonade and having some fruit.
After the top notes fade, the rosemary just swings a haymaker at your nose making it even more fresh.
And as I said, the labdanum is highly addictive in this.
Easily descriptive as a candy smelling frag.
Even tho it's an ADG it can be used in winter but quite hard to pull off.
Taking in account that this is a ADG flanker it has amazing performance (8+ on my skin) and great projection (arm length). A compliment getter and a grab and go scent, DEFINITELY not a blind buy, try before you buy, it won't work on everybody's skin.

Mac&Zee

I think this might be my favorite summer fragrance. It's so damn easy to wear. I have a 200ml bottle so I spray heavy and I'm able to get excellent performance and longevity out of it.

In my opinion, this is the best from the ADG line.

Durham Bull

@Clg1993 there isn’t a pear note listed on Armani’s official website.

JasParekh

Don't really understand the hate it gets! This one is much better than the colognes it gets compared to like hawas and Invictus Aqua. This one is much refined than Invictus Aqua and Hawas and is definitely an underrated one in the line. You should totally get this one if you can.

Ryanjkim

@WeezyPipes you cant call absolu "generic" if you said yourself that you own gio edt, edp, profondo. They all have a similar salty gio essence. Absolu smells the most unique and different so idk where you think generic is when you own very npc flankers.

Clg1993

I bought this because I read it was almost identical to the original Hollister Jake (which is one of the best smelling scents ever in my opinion). So I figured it would smell almost identical but would last longer. They definitely got it mixed up with Hollister SoCal though. Which is a very “meh” scent. It’s a very weak scent, and I’m not the kind of person that wants something to fill a room either. The pear note is what kills this. If they took it out and cranked up the citrus and wood it would be much better. I have a 2.5 oz bottle that’s been sprayed 6 times if anyone is interested

WeezyPipes

I own the EDT, EDP, Profondo, and Profumo...I love ADG and its flankers but I have to skip this one. I keep trying it on paper and skin, I've waited for the far dry down, it's still just too sweet and generic. I think it was trying to cash in on a trend that is now over. I expect this is next in line for retirement.

Don't blind buy this, it's not like the rest of the line at all.

Smellybutgood

Horribly underrated and undervalued. The common trend seems to be people downvote fragrances because everyone else does which does a disservice to the actual fragrance and the fragrance community. Nobody knows who the hell is telling the truth anymore.

I really like Absolu.
I get the similarities with something like Invictus Aqua, but it’s so much better than that, and doesn’t have the same level of synthetic smelling ingredients. It’s a very nice all-around cologne and one that should enjoy a lot of popularity.

I do believe that Absolu is a solid buy but wouldnt purchase ahead of Profumo nor Profondo.....unless you are a hobbyist like I am.

hussrahal

Summer banger.
Slept on, but simply good and works.
Great work from Armani, and the bottle is beautiful.

Cdub5_

That sweet woodiness Morillas added to the original AdG DNA which created Absolu is quite unique making this stand out amongst other fragrances.
Such a perfect example of an underrated fragrance. Those of us who know, enjoy!!

Erubit

Revisiting this fragrance five years later and I’m really disappointed with myself. When I first blind bought this, I was really let down. To me, it was just a likeable scent that didn’t blow me away or didn’t fall in love with like I wanted to. It wasn’t what I expected from a fragrance from the Acqua di Gió line.

I only wore it to work because I didn’t want to lament over wasting money and hoped to one day grow to like it more than I did. Well, that day is five years later. One thing I remembered when wearing it to work years ago, was the amount of compliments I received but I never understood it. Even being always complimented when I wore it, I eventually put my 75ml bottle on the back shelf when I got half through.

Now, I love this. Somehow my taste changed and will be sure to finish the rest of my bottle by the end of this summer.

Toiletcrusher

To me this is Hawas Rasasi that can grow a moustache. After the opening they are almost identical to my nose....Hawas has a big time bubble gum mixed with Valentino Uomo BIR opening...but after the dry down is identical to me.

I own them both and am happy to hang onto both of them even though they cover off the same need. I'd not wear this to the office (or the gym - too sweet) but would absolutely wear this one running errands, etc.

Now why they chose this color for the juice and a wooden cap for some that smells this clean and fresh is a bit of a puzzler to me.

DonChako

Championed my favorite adg, this is the most applicable of the line imo. One of the few mass pleasers I hold for the commercial kitchen arena. Draws nothin but positivity :)

Open-minded Nose

On my skin it was a weak powdery suede. Wanted to like it a lot but couldn't detect it on skin after an hour. Wore it for a week straight and found myself searching for the scent after an hour with no luck. I had my girl try to smell me as well and she couldn't find it.

When I could smell it, it's amazing so I'm hoping this goes through a reformulation to boost longevity but for now its not for me

Ghadah02

I don't quite understand it, but my disliking stems from its soapy scent. If you appreciate soapy fragrances, you might want to give this one a try. It possesses a certain edge that eludes my identification.

However, the true potential of this fragrance reveals itself during the dry down, especially if you, like me, aren't fond of soapy scents.

Not everyone can successfully wear this fragrance; it's one of those complicated ones that require personal experimentation to determine if it suits your individual chemistry.

Interestingly, I know someone who wears this scent, and on them, it smells delightful. I believe it aligns with their personality, creating a harmonious blend that might make you think, "Well, it's not bad after all; it's just not for everyone."

For me, it remains a dislikable fragrance, but for others, it remains a mystery, possibly evoking a liking.

Ricketycricket

Not sure what is up with all the hate, this is one of my most complemented fragrances that I own. Every time I wear this, at least one of the females from school mentions how good I smell.

Anyways, don't care what others here got to say when it come mass appealing scents since most people out there don't even wear fragrances. If you in med/dental school, most of the dudes here smell. Anything too "unique" that niche snobs like might scare the hoes. Something like this is perfect for someone in their 20s to early 30s. 8.5/10

monsieur.moustache

The opening is somewhat unremarkable, but the drydown adds some wood notes that help balance it out and make this an overall pleasant fragrance.

Connoisseurs speak of "beast mode" when a fragrance perpetually envelopes a person in a scent cloud. This fragrance would be better described as "ninja mode" - the scent is elusive when you're trying to track it down and attacks you (gently) when you least expect it.

TheFragranceVol

This is a great addition to the Acqua Di Gio line and the Invictus genre. This is about 40% ADG, 30% Invictus, and 30% it's own thing to me. It does remind me of Invictus, but the sweetness is very much toned down, making this the fragrance with the largest audience within this genre of fragrance. If you want a solid summer fragrance to wear in the high heat at the beach, at the pool, at a baseball game, at a carnival, wherever, check this out.

robbief777

This one developed in me a hatred of sea notes. It made me nauseous.

BebedordeCafé

This is probably the most underrated flanker. I prefer this to Profondo, and I think this on par with Profumo.
It's fresh. It's citrusy. It's fruity. It's woody. In the air it smells awesome. Projection and longevity are ok, as with all the fragrances in the line.
Smell this in skin, not in paper. It smells vastly better on skin and air.
Similar to Invictus? No. People see marine and sweet accords and instantly think of Invictus. But if you want to think of this in terms of Invictus, think of a more complex and fruity version of it, with a bit less sweetness.

thelubomir

good fragrance

bling_bling_littleking

Absolutely love this fragrance. It smells natural, sophisticated, friendly, and manly. The fruity sweetness is tamed by a woody, aquatic, and earthy undertone. Can definitely smell the ADG DNA underneath but this one shines on its own.

There are two main advantages of this scent. 1) It smells 100% natural. I don’t get any synthetic vibes like so many other sweet scents. 2) It is versatile. Can be worn in any setting. Personally I wear it to the office and going out to informal events.

You could wear this in the winter but you’d have to spray heavy. This one really shines in the warmer months.

isthisavailibleffs

ADG but cold weather friendly thanks to a copious addition of sweet amber & tonka, smells nice and is quite long lasting.

Stewartdarna

This was a great buy, and recoveries great compliments. This is a more masculine smell, not for a younger crowd. It does well in warmer weather and have great range. Worth checking out.

Apache1830

Good but nothing amazing.

I get the OG with an ambery/sweet feel

CoachSignature88

I’ll be honest I’m not a huge fan any of the aqua di gio line. The best is the original. But this one was pretty good. But I feel it veers far from the original. It’s very sweet to my nose almost Gourmand. But not unique enough to justify the high price tag. But to each its own. My collection has grown to the point where it has to be very unique to justify. For me this is a 7/10.

Hyghly

It opens up with a mix of freshness and fruitiness from the sea notes and pear. The sweetness is there but it’s barely noticeable, the best way I can describe it is by imagining those giant pitchers of water you see at parties or meetings with slices of fruit (pear in this case) thrown in it floating at the top. The taste of water with a hint of fruits with little to no sweetness.

As the fragrance develops you are introduced to the woody and amber notes which gives it a warm, woody and slightly spicy aroma for the remainder of its duration.

This is often compared to Invictus and Hawas, I would say this leans closer to the latter but they are still very different. Out of those 3 fragrances this one is the least sweetest and in my opinion the most grown up smelling one.

Longevity: 7ish hours

CajunSmurf

As an acqua di gio fan I have quite a few. This one is the latest I have added to the collection. It still has its fresh aquatic DNA making it a true acqua di gio, but as the cap would suggest, it also adds a classic woodiness to it. More mature and gentlemanly than the original. I'm ranking it 2nd in my line up, right behind Profumo.

Scotty123

An absolutely beautiful rounded out fragrance it has the original ADG sea notes that makes it aquatic through the life of the fragrance. It also has classy elegance to it with the emphasis being on woods. Fresh and woody with a little sweetness from the fruits. It’s definitely a versatile fragrance that can be dressed up or dressed down. The lavender note makes it a more mature masculine fragrnace as it provides a cleanliness like an old school fragrance. However it’s a solid 8/10. Performance is amazing as well and it’s suited for all seasons.

Efe_Erdal

Love this fragrance!

CreepyKid

I sampled this and it's fine but underwhelming and overpriced for a full bottle. There's no way I could justify purchasing it even though it's a decent fragrance. Personally it's another dime a dozen semi sweet blue men's fragrance that's getting by on the Armani designer label. It's basically the original, a splash of Invictus, a dab of shower gel fragrance, some Versace Pour Homme, and a dash of woody dry down combined. Don't get me wrong if you like it go for it, Absolu isn't a bad fragrance. It's merely redundant among all of the same offerings in it's peer group. If you already have the original Acqua di Gio or Versace Pour Homme it's a waste of money, especially at $100+. If it were $50 then it'd be a great fragrance despite it's over done dna. Longevity is fine and it projects well enough. No one's going to be offended by the scent itself which is another plus because it's so common and mass appealing. But you're also not going to stand out and I doubt the average person could tell this apart from all the other popular men's fragrances out there today. Think of Absolu like a hit pop song, sure it's catchy and well liked but it's also everywhere already in some form or another by everyone else in the genre.

Claviator

Initially nice. Then transforms into a fabric softener smell. Why pay a lot of money for such a cheap smell?

Abracadravra

Profondo > Profumo > Absolu . Marine note in this is the same as in DG Lightblue EI, BG Aqua atlantiqve, all from same creator - Alberto Morillas

AlphaLlama

I blind bought myself a 200ml bottle maybe a month ago (big bottles were 50% off, ended up costing the same as a small bottle) and even though it’s not most suitable for winter i wore it a couple of times already and i have to say i like it a lot.

To me it smells fresh, light, fruity with a sweet ending, not offensive and mass pleasing for sure. It’s quite versatile in warmer weather as well.. i will be using it as one of my daily scents, but i can imagine it works on a night out just as well.

Would recommend you give it a try!

alvra

I get a "sandy" vibe from this fragrance, I'm not entirely sure why, but I don't mean it in a negative way. It's perfect to wear to the office, especially when it's not too hot outside, but you can also wear it casually for summer outings. This fragrance has a mood-lifting effect that is sure to put you in a good mood. It's the type of scent that a "nice guy" would wear. What else can I say? I absolutely adore it. underrated.

EDIT: At first, when I tried a decant, the fragrance was fantastic. However, upon purchasing the full bottle and applying it to my skin, I noticed an unusual, almost "eggy" scent, as though it had gone past its expiration date. I believe it has to do with the oceanic notes, and This led me to eventually sell my full bottle. Nonetheless, it might just work wonders for you.

Thatsnotbennings

Absolu(te) hatred for this from me, the opening was quite refreshing but something in the dry down turns my stomach. It smelt like a mixture of stale urine, rotten eggs and I'm not even joking.

I love the profumo but this is a firm dislike for me 🤢

sunfun003

This is one of the most versatile fragrance among my collection. Lasts about 8-10 hours easily on me and projects really good in first 2-3 hours. I don’t know why it is hated the most among the fragrance community as it resembles of Invictus but in my opinion it smells much better than it.

Br0wnsfn34

I will be honest and tell you that I am not a fan of the ADG DNA.. As it was wafting in the high school I went to for 4 years.. Heck, my step brother wore the EDT religiously and yeah I got a bottle back then to stick with the crowd..
This is different then the original.. I get a slight whiff of Bvlgari Aqua Amara in the opening but its much more smooth.. I love Aqua Amara so that's a compliment.. the dry down becomes very woody.. I pick up some cedar in the dry down which becomes really nice.. Overall this is a strong like for me.. This could grow on me as I wear it more..

We gravitate to the trends of our teenage years, and for me this is no exception - the AdG DNA makes me wanna act tf UP. It's primal and hormonal and nostalgic all at once. I can still throw down, I still got it *sob*
My husband was fine with the OG EdT, and wore it throughout last summer, but it lacks the darkness/depth that he prefers. After sampling Absolu, he has a new favorite, I do too. It has everything I love about the original: the aquatic clarity, the aromatic edge, the citrus is now fruity instead of floral. The addition of more wood matures it and the creaminess smoothes it out, more fitting in our old age 😋

Like most of our fragrances, it behaves differently on each of us. On him, it's closer to original, on me the AdG DNA is more obscured by woodiness. Y'all say the other versions have more prominent patchouli, and that's the opposite of what I look for in a fragrance, so I'm happy to end my search here. I think we found the version of AdG that's right for us 🤎

EssenceofIndigo

Literally avoided this gem at my local Ulta for weeks because I thought it was aftershave. Because the color of the juice. I immediately thought it was going to be another old man scent because of its appearance... Boy was I wrong.

So one day I was back in my local Ulta, and was checking out the Acqua Di Gio line. And finally decided to give Absolu a spray. When I tell you I froze in immediate shock, and kept looking around in disbelief. I couldn't believe that it took me so long to find out about this masterpiece. I immediately spray it on my wrist, and could not stop smelling and retesting it.

After I was finally done sampling colognes, and headed home. I was so eager to see the reviews online. I immediately rushed to Fragrantica to read the reviews. And when I tell you I couldn't stop smiling ear to ear. After reading comments that encapsulated everything I was thinking and feeling. And seeing words like "Underrated" "Hidden Gem" "Masterpiece" "Perfect" "Balanced" and "Versatile". In nearly all the comments. That let me know I wasn't alone in what seemed like over zealous.

Ok let's discuss the hate and comparisons. If you're new to the world of fragrances. Just know that a lot of Collectors and Enthusiasts have buyers fatigue. So anytime a new fragrance doesn't push boundaries or offer something new or unique. It's automatically put at a rating disadvantage from seasoned critics. But may be loved by the general public. And for comparisons, Absolu is what would be categorized by most as "Generic" or a "Mall Scent". Meaning its sole purpose is to be mass appealing. Which it is, but what makes Absolu so special is its balance and quality. Don't know where all the Incivtus Aqua comparisons are coming from at all. They smell completely different, barely even relatable in terms of smelling alike. There are tons of generic mall scents that are in a similar vien as Absolu. Like YSL Y EDP, Jimmy Choo Man Intense, Invictus Aqua, and Coach for Men. But all these smell extremely synthetic and artificial. And work better for younger crowds like teenagers and young college students. Meanwhile Acqua Di Gio Absolu can work on people age 5 to age 50. Absolu's balance, quality, and versatility is bar none! There's just no comparisons.

I don't think I ever used this word to describe a fragrance before, but Acqua Di Gio Absolu is Perfect! From its note balance, breakdown, and year round versatility. Never smelt something so good from beginning to end. Absolu reminds me of a sunset at the end of a perfect day growing up in the Summer time. Absolu is such a timeless masterpiece.

If you know about Alberto Morillas then you know he's like the Michael Jordan of Perfumers. He has legendary fragrances under his belt. And will probably go down as the Greatest Perfumer of all time. And in my personal and honest opinion Absolu is his Crowning Jewel. I don't care what anybody else says.

Is Absolu blind buy worthy? 100% Yes! If you don't initially love it, trust me it will grow on you! A 10 out of 10 Masterspiece and a must own in my humble opinion.

Marsellko

I don't understand all the hate this fragrance is getting, a masculine masterpiece both fresh and a little sweet and aromatic, and above all just smells great

Dual Output

Went from like to love, it's a spring/summer staple along with YSL Y EDP.

Cajunscents

I may have reviewed this before but I've grown to really love this and changed my like to love. The pear and apple in the beginning keep it lightly sweet and fresh in the opening with the amber wood and patchouli in the background keeping it balanced with a little darkness and depth. Dries down more woody with the marine notes coming in giving you a driftwood type feel with remnants of the fruits in the background keeping it slightly sweet. This has become my favorite ADG for daily wear scenario while Profumo is still the pinnacle of the line but is more situational for me.

Sillage and projection are decent with a nice scent bubble around you but not a room filler. I usually go six sprays in cooler weather (70 degrees and below) and four when warmer (70-85 degrees). Not quite light and fresh enough for South Louisiana in the middle of summer but perfect for 85 degrees and under.

Absolu is clean, fruity and fresh with a slight dark and woody edge

Scent: 8.75
Enjoyability to wear: 9.5
Longevity: 7-8 hours
Projection: arms length

Dt_vino

Stop the hate. This juice is awesome. Smells like a sweeter ADG with some woody notes. Longevity is beastly too. Great release by Armani.

vaino satula

I love this fragrance! Perfect fragrance for fall.

Invasionbg

People sleep on this one because they are listening youtubers for that being a bad or "just okay" fragrance.
It is amazing and it doesn't smell like many mainstream fragrances. Great, every day grown up ADG.

Funky_Monk1988

Once again, one of those fragrances that smells amazing in the air but terrible on my skin. I think it might be the grapefruit. Make sure you test this one on your skin

whoswho

It smells nice but a bit boring so I wouldn't buy it but I can see how it can appeal to a younger crowd. It smells fruity sweet but not as sweet as a 1 million so not overly sweet. Don't recommend blind buying it but try it out and can only really see teenagers wearing this.

HammerDownRollIn

I’ve already left a review on this. But I just want to say that I think this is at least a 8.5/10. And it’s currently only rated 3.97/5.

The original smells too bland. Profumo smells like straight salt water. Profondo is underwhelming. This, is legit.

Teto23

the best of the ADG line, in my opinion.

Squishyy

This is indeed a great smelling fragrance, but there’s also no reason for it to exist.

This Absolu flanker is a mashup between the classic ADG dna, and Invictus Aqua dna. Sounds great on paper, right? But the catch is, it doesn’t do a better job than either fragrance it’s respectively inspired by. If you want the best OG ADG dna? Profondo crushes this. If you want the best Invictus dna? Hawas blows this away. The true nail in the coffin is that Absolu performs weaker than the aforementioned fragrances, therefore there is no reason to own this. This WILL pull you compliments and positive attention, but you will still be getting less value from your money by spending on an inferior product.

It’s a case where the fragrance smells very good, but the poor ratings are justified.

zackwv90

Coming back for another review. I bought Abercrombie and fitch first instinct together.. I was laying in bed and i kept smelling Absolu.. I come to the Absolu page here and notice that the #1 cologne this reminds people of is invictus aqua which is what first instinct together smells like.

So if you have smelled first instinct together or invictus aqua then you should have an idea of what Absolu smells like.

Great scents!

LEM922

Mmmm. I love this. This is what my manager at work wears, and he always smells so... edible. Don't be fooled by the notes, I don't get anything aquatic from this. I don't get seawater, I don't get the original Acqua di gio, all I get is woods and tonka. For people saying this is overly sweet, it's the tonka. I wouldn't say this perfume is super sweet, however it is super strong. It could be easy to overspray this. But it smells a lot better than a lot of the generic offerings that have been coming out recently for men. If you want to get attention, this is the way to go. Everyone will be asking you what you're wearing because you smell so good. A must try.

thecologneconnoisseur

A very good fragrance. It is sweet but not too sweet. It's a sexy masculine scent that my girlfriend loves. Be cautious of over spraying though, as it is quite strong and fills up a room easily. I gave myself a headache once while wearing this because I sprayed one too many times.

RogueZXRO

I don't get people saying it is overly sweet since I have actually had the experience of smelling fragrances much sweeter than this so this isn't anything overly sweet. Has some fruity sweetness with some woody aquatic notes and a nice patchouli note. My favorite from this line second is Profumo. Got a backup 200ml just in case my 75ml runs out and got both at great deals. Suggest trying it on the skin before buying as not everyone will like the same thing.

zackwv90

This is probably the best of the ADG line. I have owned the OG and Profumo. I have tried Profondo as well, but this has the OG DNA but has a lot more sweetness to it than the others in the line. It is like a sweet juicy aquatic, hard to explain. It is similar to Profumo except it's sweeter and doesn't have that incense note.

AuthenticAF

I got this for my son’s birthday, he is 17, and he loves it! Smells great!

sicilyzlilguiido

Smells like a better more natural soapier hawas at the top then comes the aquatic adg edp vibes . Mid drydown I kept getting whiffs of amber . Thought I was wearing dg the one at times mixed with an aquatic . Great stuff great performance . Severely underrated and not just a summer spring scent easily can be worn in fall and winter

Mvcarreon

Smelled this on a friend & bought my own bottle a while after. Its smell in the air is amazing! Woody, fruity, juicy.

Nothing complex here. Pretty boy type of scent.

PerfumeAddictJo1177

Yeah, I’m with a couple of reviewers, seriously not sure why this gets a lot of hate, and I don’t think this is anywhere close to generic. From a female perspective, IMO it’s the best flanker out of the Acqua di Gio line. (and my husband owns all of them, thanks to me lol) Maybe I’m bias because this is the cologne that my husband wore on our wedding day, but each time he wears it, it just takes me back, and I absolutely adore it! This to me embodies the meaning of masculine, exotic, and down right sexy!! I always tell my husband he better be careful around me when he wears this, because it is absolutely irresistible!!

As far as longevity goes, he leaves for work super early in the morning, and I can still smell it on him in the evening when he gets home. Maybe 4-5 sprays and it lasts all day. And it isn’t one of those beasts where if he walks in a room, it’s automatically headache inducing. It’s just an overall very fresh, pleasant and inviting scent.

mohk

Very easy to wear, fresh watery fruity (in a non juvenile way)...different from the original and no BO note here...

Edit:

I must add this hits a nice sweet spot for me, it has the DNA of the original in the background to satisfy the nostalgic needs, but at the same different enough that you will not remind anyone of their older brother or something (not that this is a bad thing but I am just saying).

On its own, a fine fine fragrance, but if you want to start comparisons yeah it is not earth-shattering nor it was meant to be.

I think I need a 2nd bottle to use on summer weekends during daytime for its "feel good" factor.

Mr.dondunna7

Don't know why this gets so much hate. To me I love this more then the others in the line IMO.

You get a fresh, sweet opening with the combination of Bergamot, Pear, Grapefruit, Apple and the Lemon 🍋

As the fragrance transitions into the drydown you get an enjoyable Patchouli and woody combo that I love and just smells so good. The way I see it. If it smells good you smell good. Best in the line 👌🏾

izxxc

Many, many compliments.

Blaxican

Lmao a dude at work said what you wearing you smell hella good 🤣.

JmThms

I've developed into a niche-loving FragSnob so don't get too excited by modern designer flankers. This is predictably kinda meh, but it does what it's supposed to do. Today's youth love this sweet candy store smell. This has sweetness and a little ambery thickness but does have that AdG aquatic freshness running through it. I'm not so sure about the "marine" accord that is listed, but the listed "aquatic" accord is present. This is a good pleasant scent that would serve a youthful man well on a summer night date, or as a signature scent. It does what it's supposed to do despite being designer meh, and that's good enough.

whoahawk

I completely agree with @throw2542 down below. I tested this at a department store today and I immediately got thrown back to the 90s/00s as it strongly reminded me of Curve. Really reminded me of getting magazines delivered to my house and the perfume samples in them. The trip down memory lane was fun but wouldn't be something I purchased

Catacal

So I feel that this is very much a spicy a version of the ADG formula. That and profumo however profumo is more spicy than both this and regular ADG

thamie

Great fragrance for long lasting effect in hot, warm weathers. The fruity topknots and woody base are a perfect combination.

Grdz1982

Absolutely a great smell this absolu by acqua di gio. A real compliment getter especially in the very hot weather. One of the best from Master perfumer Alberto Morillas.

lwhaymand

Acqua di Gio Absolu is a strange one to me, as up until the dry-down I was not convinced. Initially, this smells like the original Acqua di Gio with the Invictus DNA mixed in - watery, citrusy, and marine, but also sweet and youthful. I don't like the AdG DNA (except for Profumo), and here, I felt like it was just watering down the Invictus DNA. I concluded that you'd only really like this if you like the original AdG and Invictus, but you find AdG too clean and gentlemanly, and Invictus too loud and youthful.

But, as this dries down, the Invictus DNA settles a bit, and some of the fougère AdG notes, mainly lavender and a bit of rosemary, along with some earthy patchouli start to develop. Apart from incense, these are the notes that I think make AdG Profumo such a fantastic fragrance. So the dry-down to Absolu smells like a slightly softer, much sweeter version of Profumo, which resonated much more with me than the opening did. I hear this gets loads of compliments too, so could be worth a try!

marsfragrance

Absolu is incredible and it does very well with the Acqua Di Gio DNA. The woodiness is very pronounced and makes it the most unique within the line. And if you’re someone who likes compliments, this will be great for you. Anyone that has smelled it on me has really loved it.

throw2542

Not sure about anyone else but at first sniff, I straight up get Curve for Men. Yes, that one from the 90's/ 2000's that everyone wore in high school. This is not a bad thing at all but to me it just brings me right back to that time. I love Curve and have multiple bottles of it - but haven't worn it in years. Did a search on reviews and surprised no one else mentioned it. The main accords are even the same for the first 4 and share a few of the others as well. There's maybe a few minute differences on the drydown but imo not worth the ~$100 price difference. Still a very nice smelling scent!

blake.lee

I’m too lazy tonight to do a full review but many women like me find this very sexy, mostly in summer, if you are the kind who cares what we think lol. It’s mentioned often in the forums when men ask what fragrances women think are sexy. I see most men think it’s basic. It’s so interesting how the different sexes can feel about a fragrance. I have yet to meet a man who hasn’t told me how sexy Atomic Rose smells on a women and I was completely surprised by that one. I didn’t think of it as such a sexy fragrance.

Dotdotdotouk

This lasts a long time over 10 hours, my first fragrance, I wore throughout high school got compliments like crazy, this projects within 3 feet+, always will restock. Great everywhere and everyday.

k.a.p.o

Its a nice fragrance but not that special

eaudemale

This fragrance is like walking through a busy and overloeaded fragrance section at an airport.. it mixes up a bunch of things.. aquatic, aromatic, sweet, slightly feminine, calone, ambery. It's a very generic blue fruity fragrance, so extremely blended that you can't tell the notes apart. If you're going for this scent profile, get Dylan Blue or Sauvage EDP, otherwise run away from it.. this blue trend is very 2014.

Heinrich_B

Generic as it gets!
Nothing special about it, it is like the whole pack of fragrances reliesed after 2016, Dylan Blue, Y, Kenzo pour homme parfum, Chanel bleu, Sauvage, etc...shower gel smell like, this one with a woody feel. But it has performance, it is liked by others around you, it gets the job done.
To my nose, it does not resembalce the original ADG, yet people around me asked If i wore ADG the original when i wore this. And yes, it was very potent, people really perceive it around you.
If You can grab it at a good price or in a swap deal like i did, go for it.

Alphaverseau

I blind bought it and have no regrets...
it smells pretty good

Username_goes_here

It’s good.

The scent trail is pretty dang good. If you like aquatics and woods it’s a strong buy.

When I smell it on other people I like it more, hence the scent trail thing I said.

AbeStreet

A decent fragrance. The Pear note shows up a short while after the opening spray. While still citrus heavy the pear dulls the various citruses, in a good way, and produces an attractive beginning. However, as it dries down it becomes slightly boring, not bad. Perhaps lackluster is the best way to describe it. I get at least six hours before it turns completely into a skin scent. While some may wear this all year I find it to be more of a spring and summer daytime scent. Certainly office safe.

Daddy_408

I blind bought supposed to arrive tomorrow, today I had a chance to sample at the mall. To my surprise I didn't like this at all. The smell is OK but definately nothing unique , I have jean paul gaultier eau fraiche Andre edition which does what this try to do waaaay better. I'm sorry but I'm definately going to return this. Not worth it. Sample first

patchouliani

It's perfect for the summer. Nothing out of the ordinary. Performs really well and women seem to enjoy it even though I don't love it.

Barista1989

Love it. Less sweet more masculine version of Invictus. The boys wear that and the men wear this. ADG DNA is definitely there. Solid flanker and definitely deserves its own spotlight just like Profondo and Profumo.

Dt_vino

So I just received a bottle in the mail, and came on fragrantica after smelling it to see what other people thought. I’m not sure why this frag gets so much hate, but this is absolutely fantastic. I’ve heard other people say they don’t pick up on the ADG DNA, but I definitely do. It’s not a very powerful sea note, but it’s there. Haters can keep hating, but this juice is just awesome. Love it.

holyslap

@Vita7777

Guy under me is spot on. I have a few bottles from the year prior to the release of new fragrances as well. They are all legit. so don't worry and spray away.

Vita7777

My batchcode 62PD04M 2017-12 But the Giorgio Absolu was launched 2018 is my perfume fake or legit my box and bottle is everything ok expect for the batchcode its not match from the date was launched pls help.

Prunel

This one deserves more praise. It's actually very good ! If you want something a bit different for a fresh fragrance, this does the job. It smells very good and the performance is surprisingly very good. Also I see everyone say it's very sweet, but I disagree. The opening yeah, but the dry down definitely gets rid of the sweetness to leave woods and aquatic notes. At least for me.

EDIT : after trying it, I bought a 200ml bottle for about 85 euros. As for performance, at least on my skin, it's beastly. For exemple I sprayed twice at 8.30 pm, I had physical contacts so some of it must have gone away, but the next morning at arround 11pm it still smelled. The smell itself is really nice, it's definitely an Acqua Di Gio and people saying it's not mustn't have gone through the dry down. It's an ADG with woody notes which makes it unique. It's really a shame this frag gets hated on because I think it's a banger. I chose it over profumo, profondo and the new ADG EDP after trying all of them.

If you want attention and compliments, this will get those for you. By far my most complimented fragrance from my collection, dethroning the likes of Versace Eros and Dior Sauvage.

Nothing like Invictus though, I don’t know where these comparisons come from. Yes they’re both fresh, woody scents but smell nothing alike. It doesn’t retain much of the Acqua I’d giò DNA, but that’s what I like about it. Too many of the other flankers in this line are too similar. I love them all still, but I’m glad we got something different here.

It has decent performance too, I get somewhere between 6 to 8 hours from this with few feet projection too.

Simply put, this is a great scent. Crowd pleasing and versatile for sure. Don’t listen to the snobs about it’s lack of uniqueness too, that’s not true. Besides, if you smell good, you smell good so who cares?

joshualabrador21

A fresh sweet scent that isn't amazing but is not bad at all. Very versatile fragrance. Solid cologne from Acqua Di Gio.

Marzepam

Concerning longevity and range weakest from all ADG. Almost like Invictus. Fruits give nice opening and some fresh and sweet boost. Patchouli hidden. There is so many better fragrances with soul that I wouldn’t consider to buy it twice. I don’t know to whom it’s targeted … If to younger men … Invictus, Million or CK One are much, much better in longevity and performance and more unique as well.

juicytonkaboy

This shit bussin bussin. Smells so good. I dont think anyone is getting offended by this scent. Very mass-appealing and pleasing. Haters are just a bunch of hipsters who rather would smell like burnt rubber, dirt and old shrimps than something real people enjoy.

Yessamin

A new woody aromatic scent lives up to the other Giòs with more emphasis on deep earthy notes.

ADG Absolu is great. Fruity, fresh, excellent performance. It's very versatile, however, I think there are better fragrances for date night, clubbing, or the office, but you can definitely get away with it if you wanted to. You have to want a constant sweetness in your fragrance. It comes off immensely smooth to me, like an exotic iced tea flavor, not like a thick, syrupy, candy sweetness. It is very fresh, being aquatic, floral, and woody. It's a fairly attractive scent. I think every man needs an ADG in their collection, doesn't matter which one.

Rasasi Hawas is just slightly less fresh to me, having this kind of arid desert undertone. I imagine an oasis in a desert when I think of Hawas. Hawas is excellent if you can find it at a great discount. It smells "middle-eastern" to me, which can be nice and exotic when part of your high heat rotation.

Julius Bruno

VERY similar to Rasasi Hawas. You could honestly get Hawas and not bother with Absolu, but they do have slight differences. Hawas is a lot more powerful and a little "rougher" than Absolu which makes it perfect for outdoor occasions. Absolu is woodier, a lot smoother, and has a more put-together feel. You'd wear Hawas to a party and outdoor events but Absolu pretty much everywhere else. I prefer Absolu as a sweet scent, over Hawas, simply because it is a lot easier to pull off and works in more situations without having to worry about the trigger.

I have Absolu in the middle of all ADG currently. It's better than some of them but lacks the iconic ADG feel.

Scent - 7/10
Longevity - 8/10
Sillage - 7/10
Complement Factor - 6/10
Price - 7/10 ($100 for 75ml at my local Macy's)
Overall - 7/10

BonClay

Smells absolutely amazing fresh woody sweet spicy. Its really strong so you could wear this any time summer fall winter spring. This is the most interesting version of aqua da gio so far

Fabricio

I had the Adg OG and the Adg Profondo but this is the one that I love. It is at the same time woody and fresh with a slight bubble gum feel. Very good overall performance. Can be worn all year round but suits better in fresher temperatures.

deejay_

This is just Rasai Hawas. I knew i recognized this exact same scent before, this is 100% Rasasi Hawas. Someone even mentioned it below. I dont know if I would recomend buying this, seeing as hawas can be bought for $40 and is peformance beast. I dont like the smell of either since theres an egg yolk type of smell i dont like at all. But yeah

turnerscott

Beautiful variation..almost a connamon vibe. Wow. Love it.

jbuzzz

I bought this rather quickly at Sephora because of liking it so much. I've made this mistake before, and did on this one, which was liking it because it smelled so much like another one I already own without realizing it...so I had to return it. The culprit was Rasasi Hawas. I mean, it's almost exactly like it. I hadn't worn Hawas enough to recognize it immediately by smell. So disappointed. At least it smells great though, just can't shell out that much money for something so redundant. Also, not sure the performance is as good as Hawas, which is eternal...

Ashqelon

I applied one spray to my left wrist at the store and it was all I could smell for the rest of the day, even more so than the fragrance I was wearing prior. While it has the performance going for it, the scent itself does not sit well with me. To my nose, it is dead similar to both Invictus and Hawas, more so Hawas, but with the sweetness being overbearing, and it eventually led me to feel nauseous. Even after trying profusely to scrub the scent off of my wrist with soap and water, it lingered for a while longer.

If you like this sort of DNA, and want one that performs strongly both in terms of projection and longevity, this would likely be it (albeit for a high retail price). I can see the appeal of it, but to my nose it is far too sweet and fruity with next to no immediate resemblance to other releases in the line.

Abbas.m07

I find the absolu to be very closely inspired by hollister jake 2005 the brown old looking bottle. Very very similar not a scent you’d find everyday everywhere a definite grab.

YouSmellThat?

Anyone else hear this one is being discontinued?

Shugenja

This carries far more weight to my nose than the rest of the AdG line. I like it more than the original. It is very classic and pleasant. The pear note is a nice addition to the recipe.

If you do not like a lot modern ambroxan bombs, this can be a very nice alternative. It does not have that drydown.

One surprise is this is not as strong as the original AdG. I expected it to have more lasting power due to the woody base, but it does not last as long as the original without some extra sprays.
This is a good all around Day/Night, four season scent for the office, a date, formal occasions, or t-shirt and jeans. It is simply versatile.

Asca Naca

This is one of the only fragrances in my collection that has gotten me compliments from complete strangers! As far as I’m concerned let the haters hate on it. They don’t know what they are missing! It is the most unique in the ADG line and a true gem. It’s sweet abut it will make you smell like a boss! I bought it on sale through Armani’s website for a fantastic deal. An absolute banger!

Collin_397

Starts off sweet and fruity then becomes more like profondo but with a fruit twist which is the best part of the fragrance and then after a while is just pure ambroxan. Not bad but not amazing, 7.5/10. Would be higher if the fruity profondo phase lasted the entireity of the dry down.

Burtajones

My #1 preferred beach/pool environment scent.

boystank

This is the workhorse of the adg line and my warm weather wardrobe. Profondo arguably smells better from open to dry down, but if you need something that lasts the work day, the sweet, ambrox woody scent of absolu is what keeps going, long after profondos freshness becomes a memory. The opening is your typical adg opening with a bit of sweetness and aromatics coming through.

aaronearljo

I think this fragrance gets WAY too much hate. In fact, it’s one of my favorites. It’s a fruity twist on the OG and is long lasting. Love it!

Diddleydaddy6901234

This stuff is awful, something in here makes my stomach churn. Way too sweet and over powering. It also doesn't have the ADG vibe that most of the others share with varying twists. This shouldn't have been a flanker. Should have been a stand alone scent.
Had it, sold it soon after.

sameh

Acqua di Giò Absolu Giorgio Armani is a great freg ( very suitable for winter ) , the lemon , lavander & amber are Marvelous compination on my skin .
Longvity: up to 6 hours.
Projection : the same.
Smell : 7/10.
Bottle Design : 6/10.
P.S. Thumps Up & can't hardly wait to try the instinct edition.

davidzev

The most underrated ADG, because this takes the DNA of the original and flips it into something that has a date night vibe, or at least a quality that’s distinctly sexier. This probably didn’t catch on from a marketing standpoint. After all, it’s still fairly generic, right? I wear the others at work or when I want to smell fresh. I wear this one when I want to smell sexy (and clean).

Side note: I love the interesting comparisons people make when they don’t like something, as if to strongly justify their disapproval. I get that people might not particularly like Absolu. I mean, I definitely don’t look to the ADG line when I want to smell interesting or wow people. But, I also don’t see how anyone can dislike this, unless their noses really do just pick up notes that much differently. It’s one of the most inoffensive, easygoing designer frags I have. To each their own I guess:)

ellehill

This is undoubtedly in my top 3 colognes I've ever smelled. Absolutely sexy and mesmerizing; great for any occasion. I wear Absolu when my S/O doesn't just so I can smell it all the time!

HikingViking

Keep hating. This is a compliment beast. Stick with your «Black Oud Lipstick Coffee Decomposed flesh»-fragrances and see how much positive attention is coming your way. This one is great.

Chase86

Acqua di gio Absolu is good. I wore a bottle of Acqua di Gio Absolu on it’s release. I loved it back then but after that bottle I didn’t wear anymore.

I’m going to just tell you. Don’t worry about the comparisons to Invictus. Don’t worry about others in the Acqua di Gio line. This is the best Acqua di Gio unless you want to smell like the smokey Profumo. I have worn a couple of 4.2 oz bottles of Profumo by the way.
Anyway, I started wearing this again and I know why I loved it then so much. This starts out with a powerful water note mixed with some wood, amberwood, and fruits. The tonka mixes with the fruit to give this smooth, almost milky, sweetly aquatic aroma. It’s quite addictive. I think if you like blue or aquatic fragrances, then you will probably like this one. It’s completely different than Profumo though and quite a bit different than Profondo. It smells better than them in almost every way though. Profumo is nice in that it smells fresh and smokey and is linear to that. Profondo smells like a more expensive and less sweet Dylan Blue. This is quite sweet and then has the aquatic+woody combo mixed with all of that. I love this for sure. No doubt. It’s great all seasons too! It has fantastic performance for an aquatic scent.

My favorite thing about Absolu is that the dry down is so good. It is sweet and a little salty. There's not quite anything like this. The opening is amazing as well. This one is magic in a bottle. I’ve never had negative feedback on this. This is similar performance to Eros EDP or Sauvage EDP if you are wondering. I sprayed them side by side. It’s close enough. This is the hardest working Acqua di Gio. Absolu's best quality is it's smoothness. It's smooth from start to finish and enjoyable from start to finish. The Amberwood, tonka, fruits, and wood all blend perfectly together. There's nothing abrasive or harsh with Absolu. The dry down is a little bit better than Sauvage EDP and a lot better than Eros EDP. It's a bit more interesting than both since so many wear Sauvage and Eros. I'm sniffing Sauvage EDP and Absolu back and forth right now. Both are exceptional! Where Absolu may lack in originality to you, it will more than make up for that in performance, price, and scent profile. You can subscribe on Amazon to this scent and get a 25% or more discount. Discounters themselves sell this for as low as $90 for 4.2 oz bottles.

Talking performance real quick:
Absolu - 10 hours and good projection. It's almost identical to Sauvage EDP if you're familiar. I've worn about 6 oz of this so far.
Profondo - 6-7 hours. This is about 10-20% weaker than Dylan blue for longevity. It has slightly better projection. Not nearly as strong as Absolu. I've worn about 2 oz of this so far.
Profumo - 7-8 hours. It's a dark subtle skin scent after 8 hours. So you could consider that. It projects about 20% less than Absolu. I've worn about 10 oz of this so far.
Instinct - Limited edition so not super important, but this one lasts about 8 hours. Similar performance to Absolu. A bit more mysterious but less mass appeal. You could wear Instinct at night after wearing Absolu in the day. I've done it once or twice. I've worn about 1 oz of this so far.

Acqua Di Gio Absolu after 5 hours on one hand and freshly sprayed on the other: it opens with a lot of salty sea water that's intoxicating and smooth. The citrus from bergamot, lemon, and grapefruit blend together to give a unique sparkle. The pear and apple are smoothly blending with the citrus but they're not pronounced in the opening. The salty sea note lasts for a few hours, but pulls back after 15-30 minutes to balance out with everything well. With the dry down, it is a warmer scent, because the sea note is essentially gone. You're left with a beautiful woody-fresh scent that blends with tonka bean. There's probably some fruit here mixing with the tonka bean but it's difficult to pick out every note. Either way, it's warm and lush with sweetness that continues to carry. The amberwood gives it an uplifting and fresh tone still that blends with the woody notes. Quite exquisite.

I have 5 bottles left of this from the past. Definitely going to have some fun and wear this one often! Despite the comparisons, this doesn't really smell enough like anything else to justify not getting it. Great performance. Great smell. Fairly good value. This one is very good! Pick it up. Don't worry about youtube reviews. They usually don't do scents justice from my experience.

I believe you have one of the biggest noob noses ever, LOL. This is ultra mass appeal, go check your nose.

Compliments galore. Great performance. Suuuuper fruity, quite aquatic, clean, fresh, just damn good.

Ladygugu

From a females perspective, this is sex in a bottle! I smelt this on a guy and had to take a step back because he smelt so damn incredible. Guys, this one is a must have in your collection -just saying

jbozz

My favorite Acqua di Gio along with Profumo. It sure smells like Armani’s take on the Invictus DNA but with less of that “bubblegum” vibe. It smells really good in the air, but directly under my nose sometimes it has kind of a damp woodsy vibe. I still enjoy wearing it nevertheless and it definitely pulls the compliments! Absolu is best in mild to warmer weather.

washudtoj

I believe either seaweed or fish skin is a hidden note in this perfume.

I've never been a fan of marine fragrances, so unsurprisingly, this review isn't going to be a positive one. The only reason I'm putting it on me and reviewing this one is because I was sent the wrong sample. I ordered the original Acqua di Giò, but was sent this one instead.

It's not just the marine salt that puts me off; there is something seriously off-putting hidden underneath that sweet apple fruity scent. It smells like fish or seaweed, and I think it's really gross.

Someone below says it smelt of wet dog. I totally get that on my skin.

If you want seaweed done right, get Bvlgari Aqva. It's much better than this.

Even though I don't consider myself a fan of Bvlgari Aqva (despite owning a big bottle and an aftershave, how ironic,) I'd actually pick Bvlgari Aqva over this one any day.

I normally like Morillas' creations, but, in my opinion, this is far from his best. (Later I got to try the original Acqua di Giò. I think that one is better.)

Also, I got a lot of generic barbershop men's cologne at the beginning. I believe it's lavender. Reminds me of JV x NJ (blue), which I also don't like.

Hard pass.

Smccrac3

Coming back to this one after finishing a small bottle. Initially liked this one quite a bit, but now am glad it’s finished. The sweetness just became annoying, and the remainder of the scent is unidimensional.

I_am_nothing

Smooth smelling wood-citrusy scent, pleasant with strong sillage and good performance. Not the greatest outright, but also not bad at all. I could see it be suitable on almost anyone

Scotty123

I bought and gave it away to a friend because he liked it so much. After doing that I realized I missed it and ended up getting a big bottle in a swap with another great friend. This fragrance is great for real, gets a lot of hate from a lot of YouTubers for no reason. It’s fruity, fresh, sweet, woody and salty. It’s so well blended also. It’s perfect for all ages as well. It performs very well in the fall and winter as well. I get fantastic performance from it as well. A great buy if you’re thinking about getting a bottle.

Abzozo

Smells very fruity and sweet but not in a cloying way.It lasts and the sillage is so nice. There was a gentle breeze outside and i got some nice whiffs of it.It's not an overly complex fragrance, but it will get you tons of compliments.

Mina Abdo

It maintain the original DNA but with more sweetness.
I like it, it is not my favorite, but it works very well in summer.

CologneGuru

I love Absolu, during the fall/winter when I visit down south! I’m from the northeast and I don’t reach for this as much because I find this to be a transition fragrance, end of summer/early fall, sometimes to cookouts during summer, but alot of times I find myself picking other fragrances over this one because I feel theyre better fit for the occasion. But down south, during the winter/ fall I want to reach for this all the time! When its 70 degree weather 👌

wizkid04

Good fragrance, however it has a wet dog note in the background. Not for me!

FragDude25

This is a great scent! Doesn’t smell like the ADG EDT to me, but it’s got it’s own vibe going on. Woody and aquatic, year-round use, lasts forever on my skin haha. Try it and see what you think, this is my favorite of the ADG line.

Roman86

This is very pleasant, lasts long on clothes and projects just fine. This is a good quality crowd-pleaser. You should sample it as it is available at most department stores. It's worth a sniff at the very least.

Beulo

Personally not a big fan of this fragrance when I smell it up close, but when it project out it does smell a lot better. Woody scent with a bit of sweetness from fruits. And it does project fairly well and last really long even when I tried spraying it in the air the first few times.

Turbo

I've smelled similar colognes, can't name them. Nothign special. This smells like cognac and tobacco to me, with the standard aqua di gio smell in the background. I'de put this fourth, #1 - Aqua Profumo, Aqua Origional, Aqua Profundo, Aqua Absolut, Aqua Escenza

eau_my_toilet

I was really wrong about this one. When it came out I was excited for a new ADG, but as soon as I smelled it, I was mad and dismissed it as basic (was really into Profumo at the time). A couple years later after revisiting a sample, I got a full bottle. It is extremely pleasant and easy to wear. On my skin the dry down is soapy, and I catch woody aquatic notes all day. It is sweet, but not sickening like others in the category. It is a jack of all trade, it has everything, warmth, freshness, woodiness, sweetness, aquatic. In my experience, women seem to react more to this than Profumo or Profondo. It is really sneaky good.

This gets pegged as spring, summer, fall, but I think it works great in winter too. It is just warm enough that it works a crisp winter day. I can't explain it, but it reminds me a little bit of the holidays.

Guitar 2016

It is a nice scent, Fruity, Aquatic, Warm and Sensual. If you compare it with Acqua Di Gio line , it's Unique but with the market is not , Overall, it has high quality composition. It opens up with like semi sweet fresh citrusy, fruity , green and floral notes in the background then dry down is sweet ambery, woody. This is perfect for the spring, summer and fall. I really enjoy it and I like Acqua di Gio Absolu EDP for Men.
Rating : 7.5 / 10

tylrmrtn98

Short and Sweet. It's very fresh, somewhat watery or aquatic, sweet, citrusy and woody. It almost goes the same route as Versace Pour Homme, but way less citrusy and more sweet, woody and aquatic. It smells like a nice, clean shower gel or shampoo after a good lather. The ladies will thank you for wearing this.

Azisai-

Back before the pandemic happened and we all normally went to school, there was this pretty boy who was kind of a stereotypical douchebag. You know, walked like Frankenstein to prevent shoe creasing, kept his airpods in during class, and of course oversprayed cologne all the time. At first I'm pretty sure whatever he wore at the beginning of the year was axe body spray and it was awful. And then towards the end of the schoolyear he started wearing this, and he kept a bottle of it in his locker until someone stole it (he posted it on his snapchat story and complained about/flexed how he had to buy a new bottle).

He went ham on it because you could smell it from the other side of the hallway, but it smelled so good. Super woodsy, slightly sweet/sugary, and it did have something aquatic to it as well. Literally everyone, even teachers would say "he overdoes it with the cologne but it I really like how he smells,", and I agree. It's a compliment magnet and seems to have nefariously good longevity, maybe it does smell a big generic but it's just so well done! I like it so much I kinda wanna get a bottle for myself :p

Hotduece

light woods, a bit of amber and a sweetness mixed with intimate spices really make for a pleasant and versatile scent. performance is sneaky, I feel like it has disappeared in 5 hours but smell it on my shirt the next day. underrated flanker

HammerDownRollIn

So many people are saying that this is acquatic, aromatic, and woody. It may be woody, but what I get is amber and pear, and I’m a fan. I don’t smell the acquaticness that the other flankers have. If I try hard enough I may be able to..

I’d also like to address the people who say that this smells synthetic. No it doesn’t, at all.

This is my favorite of the Acqua di Gio line and I plan on buying either it or Tiffany and Love For Him. The latter is similar but also has ginger.

RonMar

Smells like an aquatic invictus wannabe. As long as your spraying 5 sprays every four hours it's okay nothing special. My only con is it has no longevity and sits close to the skin 2 hrs GONE. So I will use this up quickly and toss it. 5/10

Luxfare

I love Armani fragrances, ADG is an iconic fragrance and my all time favourite is Eau pour homme. Both will always have a place in my collection. I bought this one blind as it was a 95% full tester at a great price so Armani, good price, almost full ….why not right?

What a meh 😑 fragrance, it’s ok, but absolutely nothing special whatsoever, it’s as forgettable as D’Aromes the Pour homme flanker. Opens with a mild citrus (nothing like ADG), then you get a patchouli and amber dry down. Longevity isn’t great in humid weather either.

It really annoys me when companies release completely forgettable flanker fragrances relying on the reputation from the original for sales. I don’t hate it, but follow my advice and don’t blind buy unless you get an amazing deal as you’ll likely be disappointed.

swoony

I only ever get compliments while wearing this. Very sweet and aquatic to start off and goes to more earthy woods. Perfect on a hot summer day

Hein Kruger

This fragrance is of such high quality, the first time I tested it was love at first smell! Gets me compliments every time I wear it, lasts long especially for a aquatic and projects like a beast on me.

It is pricey for a aquatic, but it also is Armani. Worth the money for the quality and performance. 9/10

kyack12

I picked up a travel size of this recently and have been testing it out. TBH, I think it's super likeable, balanced, and smooth. I definitely pick up the Invictus vibe. There are cheaper alternative for this genre (first instinct together, invictus, MB legend spirit, half of the zara store...), but this one is really good. Not sure why it's less liked in the frag community. Must be too "safe". I like "safe" and "generic" when it smells this good.

tmo100

Very appealing scent. I was looking for a sweet yet fresh scent, and found this, its great. Lasts a decent while, 6-8 hours. Compliment factor is there due to being mass appealing. Definitely way better than the original ADG, still slightly similar but more updated and sweeter, ofc lasts much longer too. Overall, impressed by it.

Scent: 10/10
Silage: 7/10

Overall: 8/10

Doriani06

I like the opening of this one, sweet and fruity but still fresh.
However as it dries down it gets less pleasant and interesting.
What makes it pop in the first hour or so goes away.

A bit strange because for AdG Profumo I think the opposite, I'm not a huge fan of the opening but the dry down is delicious.

Since the dry down is the most important for me, I would not recommend this one.
Worth trying though, it may smell nicer depending on your skin.

Bfish88

The redheaded step child of the Acqua di Gio saga!

I've smelled all but the newest one and although I'm in the minority, this one is my favorite.

A SOLID 9/10 For Me Personally

TO THOSE THAT SAY:
But...this is mass appealing, generic, boring, synthetic, and not challenging. It smells like Invictus acqua and countless other fragrances!

I WOULD SAY:
You aren't wrong but...what do you think acqua di gio line is for? They all are a bit synthetic and borrow the OG DNA, but I find this one has less of the original formula and I say it's a great smelling compliment magnet that performs like a champ. Cash grab? Probably. Well done? Definitely!

Fragranceaddict88

Real nice ppl sleep on the best stuff. Opens very similar if not exactly the same as allure home sport. Do not confuse it with allure home sport eau extreme. I’m says ALLURE Home Sport. That’s the first 5-10 mins. Then morphs slowly into a lighter version of profundo. Then it slowed morphs into OG Aqua di Gio. It’s really nice. I tried it on at Ulta and came home wife was instantly like omg what is that. She knows I got a huge collection but she really loved this too. Complement beast. It’s subtle too safe for the office if you go 1-2 sprays. Just breezy nice mid with a splash of sweetness not too much. Balanced.
