L’Homme Ideal Sport by Guerlain is a Woody Aquatic fragrance for men. L’Homme Ideal Sport was launched in 2017. L’Homme Ideal Sport was created by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk. Top notes are Watery Notes, Almond and Spices; middle note is Neroli; base notes are Coumarin, Vetiver and Patchouli.

L’Homme Ideal Sport is created by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk, who took the almond note and revealed its sporting potential by giving it vitality with fresh spices and aquatic accords. The heart develops with a delicate neroli essence, followed by the woody base featuring an intensive trio of patchouli, vetiver and coumarin.

The bottle adopts its predecessors’ design, updated with a deep blue lacquer. The label’s red trim evokes a sports shirt. Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Sport is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette from May 2017.

This is one that really grew on me. I picked it up on clearance as a blind buy because I loved the rest of the line (EDT, EDP, Intense and Cool). Initially I was a little meh about it, and probably got my nose too far into it, but I absolutely love it now. It gives wonderful whiffs throughout the day and it's fresh and classy. It's great for the office and spring/summer/fall. Don't overlook it!

This one last on my skin for 5 hours and than it's gone.
No surprised it is called Sport.

Mountain_Man

When I purchased this as a blind buy about two years ago, I was pleased. It was a nice scent and a fresh take on the EDT/EDP and other flankers. I revisited this a few weeks ago and I have fallen in love with it as a unique aquatic scent - different from everything else out there in the “blue” category. But!!!! …It’s discontinued I hear. What a disappointment. I found an overpriced bottle on Amazon and bought it anyway. I want this to be reintroduced. It’s going to be my new scent of the summer. Something of note: Guerlain doesn’t make any other aquatic or blue fragrance for men like most other perfume companies. I’d like to see something new, if not a reintroduction of this!

I've spent several months with this frag and it's pretty good. Not necessarily a must have as there are others that produce similar vibes.

This fragrance opens up with beautiful citrus and almond. The almond fades away at the one hour mark and light vetiver and quiet tonka keep you smelling fresh for a good 8 hours. It's a good performer.

Outside of the brand, there are some similar fragrances that are cheaper but don't last as long. Two that come to mind are Ambre Fraîche Baldessarini and Aqua Essenziale Ferragamo (even more citrus). But I think ideal sport is the best in terms of scent and performance. Lastly The One Grey by D&G is also an amazing scent with a similar vibe.

I'm a huge Guerlain and Ideal fan. My favourites are Ideal Intense and Cologne. This one is a good starter into the line, but the original is bit more exciting and will give you something a bit more unique if you're new to it. Enjoy friends.

This fragrance should deserve a higher appreciation.
It is very unique, definitely a flanker of L’homme Ideal line with a noticeable Almond note, and sophisticated. I understand that the entire collection of L’homme Ideal line is great and among them L’homme Ideal Sport receives the least amount of love - but, this is such a wonderful fragrance and one of my favorite summer scents out of 1,000 I own.

SmellyPete48

Not your usual aquatic, it is a very pleasant scent. I have never tried Cool but I have the Cologne, and it is also a very good and unique warm weather scent, I guess it is the almond note. Like the other warm weather Ideal flankers, Sport has been discontinued but It recently popped up at FragranceNet so I was able to grab a bottle. In fact I liked it so much I just bought a second bottle. If you are looking for a warm weather scent but want something a little outside the norm go ahead and give it a try.

jbinner88

L’Homme Ideal Sport Guerlain is the most unique aquatic fragrance I own. I'm sad to see this is discontinued and that my bottle is running out. This cologne was my dumb reach all throughout last summer. Clean, inoffensive, watery, and creamy notes. The projection is subtle, but when someone walks by me I typically am told that I smell good. I would describe this is a handsome casual warm weather scent.

Sea2Summit

In a collection of over 70 fragrances, what to wear for a XMAS Eve lunch party with friends, none who wear fragrances, as a 50's dad, in tropical summer? That situation eliminates a lot of notes. That leads to what Guerlain Ideal Sport is and what it isn't. As a 50's dad, trim nose and ear hair, neat short hair, thoroughly wash, apply deodorant, wear long pants and a decent shirt, and wear an age-and-situation-appropriate fragrance = Guerlain Ideal Sport. I like it, and no one else disapproves. In addition to my own assessment, I trust in Guerlain, Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser.

Dixieland Delight

This is a solid performing, slightly unique aquatic sport fragrance.

It gets hate because that's what it is, but it pulls it off very well.

Yes, the cooler weather originals in this line are much better - but this does what it is supposed to do pretty well.

Classy, sporty, lightly sweet scent. What you would expect from a guerlain sport scent.

Good, not great. I like it.

UPDATE: the more I wear it, the more I like it and the more unique it is amongst all the blues out there.

I now own l’homme Ideal EDT, EDP, Cologne, and now just barely got this in today after searching forever to find a decent price. I got a 3.4oz for $80 dollars on Mercari, and I genuinely have to say this is my favorite in the line. This is similar to the cologne version, but the cologne version with the pink pepper just doesn’t smell as nice as the aquatic watery notes you get with this one that makes it feel much more “airy”. Very underrated, and I’m happy I tracked this one down

swagbornslayer

An absolutely underrated fragrance from Guerlain. Would, in my opinion, get more recognition if it did not have the addition "Sport". Very fresh, very pleasant, not intrusive but just nothing extraordinary. It is a very mass-appealing fragrance but is not a must have. I like to wear this fragrance.

Senor.Blanco

In a strange way this gives me Nautica voyage vibes, it’s not as potent and doesn’t have the apple, but the watery notes are similar - it’s pretty good, I have a feeling this one will grow on me the more I wear it. I’m a big fan of the original and I like the EDP too

molecularentropy

A really light, almondey scent. It's not what I would consider 'sporty' per se, but I get what they were going for here. It's sporty in the sense that it's super subtle and is not going to get obnoxious when the heat of exercise kicks in. There is no limit to how much of this you spray on, it will stay subtle. It's a great dumb reach for active days, gym sessions, an practically anything else where flying under the radar is what you need. It'll work for the office as well, but don't expect to get any compliments. It's not an attention grabber.

Now, the downside ... the big one ... performance. It's a pretty weak performer. First hour is okay, but it turns to a skin scent after that. No amount of spraying helps this. I swear you could drill into the bottle, pour the whole thing on your head and let it all soak into your clothes and you'd still smell neutral in an hour.

Definitely a good pick-up for a discount. Some people are price-gouging this because it's discontinued, but honestly it's not worth anything at or above retail.

bcoops

this is some great juice....i have been testing this collection, so i've tried the EDP, Cool and this sport version. a rule of thumb i follow now is to pay careful attention to the performance the first time you wear it. this lasted a solid 8+ hours on me...then i noticed the more wore it the worse then performance got. im pretty sure thats from me going nose blind on the frag...so pay attention to that. i get a creamy sweet vibe off this...its just heavenly! been wearing a lot this summer
..

BGBG

Certainly one of the best fresh patchoulis, if not the best.
Love at first sniff.

brokesta911

Guerlain L’homme Ideal Sport (2017) - marine almond - #thierrywasser combines the calone accord of the early 90s into modernity with this “sporty” cologne. Usually, I stay clear of those labeled such, but this one makes it into the collection. Bergamot and Almond make the marine-top creamy, yet fresh. The Vanilla Guerlinade in the drydown mixed with Vetiver and Tonka bean, add depth that makes a simple concept extremely versatile to wear.

Djedi

A blast of citruses upon application quickly followed by some vague calone-y, watery notes. The neroli is also fairly dominant in this one. It doesn't smell too far off from the Cologne version in my opinion, only this time around a more watery aspect is highlighted instead of the grapefruit citruses in the Cologne. Though it's not bad smelling, it's just very bland and derivative. The drydown is okay, but I barely get any almond out of this one. Nothing you haven't smelled before and on my skin the performance is rather lacking. I believe this one is discontinued as well, though I wouldn't bat an eye even one bit.

5.5/10

RoBoT

Springtime freshie with a fairly unique scent. It’s never cloyingly sweet, the tonka bean/coumarin adds a richness that contrasts perfectly to the clean aquatic note. At under $60 for a 100ml bottle of a very versatile, very high quality fragrance with more sophistication than your average aquatic fragrance and more depth than your average blue fragrance, this is a completely safe blind buy.

Bigmike650

Beautiful sport fragrance👌🏽

Luxfare

Very watery and fresh , strong neroli albeit not as strong as the neroli present in Bvlgari wood neroli....but similar presence none the less. More of a clean fresh than a citrus fresh, enjoyable and an easy daily go to fragrance. Worth a try if you can get it for around $50-$60 which is what I paid for the 100ml.

dabatch

reminds me of forever sailing by moschino (the blue one). nice aquatic with average performance.

J.Deft

On my skin this smell like an almost medicinal. At first spray I smell the almond and aquatics which gives it a powdery bath water smell. I got this flanker because I wanted a sports frag, while this is a good flanker I think I like my sports frag with more citrus.

Mina Abdo

It is nice. It could have been better.

vrapjr123

It’s a good fragrance. Just wish it could be longer lasting.

AA4102

A Mea Culpa moment.

Based on YT reviews, this is NOT a good flanker, but I just can't take people's word for it. I mean I ADORE immensely edt, edp, cologne and extreme, what could possibly make me not like this one, right?! So, I bought a full bottle... and then sold it the following day 😂.

I do give chances to perfumes that I find challenging, but this Sport version felt like it didn't even TRY. I even got the first batch (2017). It's so "meh" and the performance is downright unacceptable. 8 sprays, and the scent is gone a few mins after I could not believe. The way they discontinued the Cologne version for this one, I will never understand. If you're a collector hunting the whole Ideal line, then get this by all means, otherwise, stay away.

I won't be surprised if this review gets deleted due to thumbs down as I'm seeing glowing reviews below and it could only mean the negative ones have been removed already (I suspect... Oh well). I just want to warn the others as these are NOT the cheapest fragrances to blind buy.

Nice Frag

Excellent quality! Love it!! For an aquatic, it is way better than I imagined. More complex than the other aquatics I have smelled. It has a certain, almost herbal freshess that I catch every so often. It makes me crave it, desiring to smell it more, as my mind struggles to identify it's complexities. My wife doesn't care for many fragrances, and even she approved of this one. This is the Guerlain quality I have started to expect and cherish.

Mes Belles Amis Parfumées
Contrary to most, I really love Ideal Sport - I don't own any other "aquatics" - so it's my sole foray into that genre. This is clean and fresh with no sharp edges - tremendously likeable. The bottle was gifted to me by my wife and daughter when we visited Guerlain HQ at 68 Champs Elysees, so will always remind me of a heady summer in Paris 2017. Am on my second bottle. My Dad loved it on me so I got him a bottle too. Not generally a "hater" or overly critical of others choices - you like green, I like orange - surely we can coexist in harmony. Sometimes I think that critics just need to take a pill and have a wee lie down.
I have seen others' suggestion that this scent evokes a clean white shirt on a fit tanned bloke - I think it's apt!
It's not me, for sure, but certainly an aspiration. Think casual sunny day lunch and drinks at a seaside bar or cafe with friends. The beach is hot, the water is cool, the light breeze carries hints of surf, suntan oil and this summer's tune gently playing somewhere, warm smiles and easy conversation. For me that's what it evokes!
Summertime and the living is easy ...

L'Homme Ideal Sport is an aromatic, aquatic and woody fragrance.

Maybe this version of L'Homme Ideal is the less popular, but is a good fragance. It being an aquatic fragrance is important to say that its smell in big percent unique, because it keeps the essence of the line, with the characteristic almond note, adding watery notes, neroli and a base of coumarin. The smell is very nice and modern.

Ideal Sport is a great choice to use in summer and spring.

It should also be mentioned that of the entire line it is the one with the weakest performance, or at least it was with me, it lasted a maximum of 6 hours.

Its price is good, because is not enough expensive.

byronius5

I bought this on a blind buy, which I hardly ever do, but I got a good price, and I figured this was a L'Homme Ideal flanker, it's going to be awesome, right?! Not really, not really at all, and I really don't like saying that; it's very disappointing to me.

Out of all of the blue, sporty fragrances I now own, this is the most underwhelming, 'meh' scent of them all. It's just not very interesting, nothing about it really jumps out...I mean it's pleasant, totally inoffensive, very safe to wear just about anytime, and I do plan to wear it out, but it is completely non-outstanding...very Flat, like a soda that's lost its carbonation. (I admit I got very spoiled on the Ideal Cologne, so I was expecting something of this calibre, but no, it didn't happen).

As for its aroma, has a very strong water note (the same sort of aquatic accord you find in Versace Pour Homme), the characteristic L'Homme Ideal almond note, and neroli during the opening, but I use the word strong here almost ironically: This has next to NO projection whatsoever...this stuff makes any Hugo Boss offering behave like an Initio, I mean it is hardly there at all! I gave myself first five sprays upon first wearing, then three more after ten minutes, on my shirt, and those sprays did nothing to enhance its performance. I literally had to bury my nose into the top of my hand where I sprayed it to get a hint of its aroma. On a positive note, it did evolve into a very nice, albeit faint, drydown once the water note dissipated and the vetiver had a chance to say hello, but the tonka and partchouli didn't seem to be present at all.

Maybe I just got a bad watered-down batch, or my skin just drinks this one up very quickly, but I won't be getting this again. I'll use up the 50 ml pretty fast, I imagine; I can see myself having to spray 10+ times per usage, and it's pleasant enough, but after this experience, I'd rather buy another couple of bottles of Nautica Voyage, at least that one smells unique and phenomenal for a third of the price, has a very decent projection, and lasts more than half the day on me...despite this unflattering review; I am a big, big fan of Guerlain's offerings on the whole; It gives me no pleasure whatsoever to say that compared to Voyage and the rest of my sporty blue scents, L'Homme Ideal Sport is like hearing a joke that I don't get.

Guccipordior

This is a good buy. I got a 50ml on fragrancex for $30 as of a few days ago, so it's a good time to grab it.

This is a good aquatic fragrance. It's an aquatic for those who don't like aquatics, and it is a worthy flanker of the L'homme Ideal line. I think it is overlooked and it is not as well loved as the other flankers, as is clear by many reviews.

But if we look at this for what it is, it does it's job completely competently. The opening features that beautiful almond and it reminds me of the original EDT, but only for a few minutes... you can smell the EDT's smell transition into the watery notes seamlessly. The tonka is in the background, keeping it a bit sweet, but the patchouli and vetiver give it an earthiness that grounds it from being just a generic aquatic fragrance.

I can see why people dislike this. The L'homme Ideal line features some amazing flankers, and the original itself is amazing. Why would there need to be a Sport version? Could I live without this- sure. But I am absolutely happy that I have it, because it stands above all other aquatic fragrances for me.

I have a few simple, clean and fresh fragrances set aside for the summer. They have been doing me fairly well. I just got this in and wasn't expecting much, but I really do enjoy this fragrance. The way the notes are blended gives it a natural smell as with other Guerlains. I do not find the watery notes synthetic or jarring. This is not an ambroxan based blue fragrance, although I may experiment with layering some ambroxan with this fragrance because I feel like they would go well together.

This is a sweeter, earthier, more grounded aquatic fragrance- it is not a blue fragrance like Sauvage, but Guerlain's own take on the aquatic style of fragrance. I don't think it's a mistake, cash grab, or a bad flanker. I do not think it smells like Cologne. I think it smells a lot like the EDT at first, and then becomes a nice, simple fragrance still featuring the almond/tonka that L'homme Ideal is famous for. I see that some people don't pick it up- I feel it is most apparent at the opening.

This smells like the EDT with watery notes added in. It stands on its own as a good fragrance and I think it is worth trying. You do not need to sample this before purchasing if you have smelled the EDT. Imagine a watery version of the EDT. Not an ambroxan bomb, a more classic watery fragrance. This one definitely is better than I thought.

These are first impressions but I do not need much time to decide if I like an aquatic or not. This one is not very complex but it is extremely pleasing, and still sets itself apart from other blue and aquatic fragrances. You will still smell different than others with this flanker, although the others are more distinct and complex than this.

Definitely get it if you like this line, or if you want a sport fragrance that isn't generic or too boring.

Spring/summer, daytime

joenick68

Giving it the first try, but I think like something is missing, like the L'homme Ideal is not such "Ideal" on this one. I got this one thinking it could help to extend the life of my bottle of the "Ideal Cologne" since is hard to find now, and to wear this last version more in the summer, but now I am not sure. I will update in regards performance, but in regards first impression of the fragrance... well I am not impressed at all so far.

BGBG

Love this scent. I would bet there is mint inside but can’t see it listed in the notes.
I guess the patchouli gives it this fresh minty note.
Is there anybody else seeing the ressembkance with Coco Mademoiselle Intense? I mean the patchouli side.
Thumbs up. 10/10

fabulush78

Coco Mademoiselle resemblance for sure ! I came here to check if any of the reviews would mention it and it does indeed !!! After smelling it on my husband a few times and getting to Coco vibe, which I love, I can assure you that if that´s what you´re after ... Go for it !

tukangciumparfum

This flanker is amazing.
It smells way different than the other summer ideal flankers.
It is very similar to Versace Man Eau Fraiche but without that swimming pool starfruit smell.
The fragrance is also well rounded as a citrus fragrance with no harshness and it has a hint of bittersweet almond.
It is a very solid fragrance for the summer. I like it.
However, if you want to smell more unique then I suggest you to buy the cologne.
I glad I bought it for 40 bucks way before it got discontinued.

DrNDJas

Blah blah Bleu Sport flankers....
But it's Guerlain. Hold on, it is worth investigating-what would they do with this tired and overdone genre?
They're going to add something that smells almost sexy to the boring bleu DNA, that's what! There is something a little dirty going on in this, a little nutty earthiness that combines really well with the fresh aquatic accord that gives this sporty flanker an unexpected edge. There is no ambroxan in it, so it doesn't have that dizzying, fuzzy, chemical dry down that define so many of these modern "sporty" masculines. And of course, it is constructed with that typical Guerlain elan that elevates it above the typical designer-house freshie. The most unloved son in the Ideal family deserves more attention!

el_rodss85

It is a good acquisition to your collection. It is not the best of the aquatic perfumes, but it performs pretty good. It's nothing like Sauvage or Bleu, so it is not a substitute for those. It doesn't even play in the same level. If you're still thinking of purchasing it, you should better acquire a D&G Light blue intense. However, if you find it at a good price, you wont regret the purchase. I recommend this to be used at the beach or for a evening to ride your bike.

Berliner

Bright, warm, pleasant, inoffensive - and totally unremarkable and generic. It's a bit like Homme Ideal Cool with the peppermint removed. But as the peppermint is LHICool's crowning glory, why would you bother?

MONTH LATER - changed my mind about this. This isn't anything starry but there is something really pleasant, solid and reliable about it. Creamy-smelling and uplifting, like you've just washed in a really expensive soap. Some of the L'H Id line I find a bit sickly sweet and overpowering. This one isn't at all - it's now my second favourite after Cool.

Manny44

I didn't like this when I tried it last year and now I don't know why exactly. I've been wearing it in this warm weather and it's awesome. The other fragrances I've been wearing are Aventus Cologne ( Nice but way too expensive ) and ADG Profundo which hasn't personally impressed me as much as it has other people. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a bottle of this to wear for the summer. It reminds me of what my memory of Chanel Allure Sport was like although it's been years since I wore that so I stipulate that it resembles my memory of it more than anything. Am I the only one that gets a really nice oily orange note?

Guinbert

I love the edt and this is quite nice too. You can smell the original dna in this, but this is so fresh and soothing. If you have a ton of fresh aquatics then it may be redundant to buy this, but as far as fresh aquatics goes this does it the best.

If you are comparing this to other Guerlains it will seem boring, but it is a very pleasant scent that feels refreshing and nice, while keeping the overall feeling of the original. I think this is extremely underrated.

Kfrags

First impression here, will update if my opinion changes:

This seems like a very solid fragrance. I love the original EDT, and this is a freshened up version of it. I still get cherry and almond coming through pretty heavily, can absolutely tell it's a L'homme Ideal flanker, the original DNA Is there. This one is less creamy than the others in the line, and on the drydown, the cherry and neroli fade into somewhat of a generic shower-gel aquatic.

If you're comparing it against the rest of the GLI line, it's nothing groundbreaking, just a freshened up flanker for warmer weather.

If you're comparing it against other popular "blues" like Dylan Blue or Sauvage, this is absolutely going to be a unique blend.

yua77721

@phpbb it is just your nose it is nothing like suavage

Maximus8321

I just love this scent. I have close to 100 different colognes and some of them are blue, aquatic fragrances and I have to say that this one is one of my favorite among the aquatic smells. I own the Cologne version, Ideal Cool, Sport and Extreme and I have to say that every single one of them has its own character. I know the Cologne has been hyped in the fragrance community, however; that is where personal preferences and tastes come into play. If I had to choose between the Cologne, Cool and the Sport versions and rank them, I would do it as follows: 1) Sport 2) Cool 3) Cologne. Thats why its always a good idea to test something for yourself before making a decision based on someone else's opinion. I think Guerlain Ideal Sport is a very underrated fragrance and more people should give it a wear. It is a simple fragrance, but its gorgeousness is in its simplicity.

NatanielMendes

I can understand why it gets so much hate. Yes, for those who like Guerlain's creative style and niche-ish, this fragrance is a little generic. However, it is far from being a bad fragrance. It is very pleasant, clean, uplifiting and has some uniqueness.

It reminds me of a more creamy and sweet version of Versace Pour Homme. Maybe due to the presence of Neroli with the aquatic notes. The performance is actually good. On my skin the longevity is about 7-8 hours, projecting well for 1-2 hours.

I thought the fragrance would project less, but my mother told me that she can feel the fragrance trail when I pass by, 4 hours after application. Great fragrance for hot days, to feel clean and pleasant, without using something too "in your face".

AMajeedQT

What a unique freshie!

L’Homme Ideal Sport is a fragrance that I wasn't interested in until I smelled it.

This is a fresh, aromatic fragrance, with 2 main players: water and patchouli.
It is one of the best fresh patchoulis I've came across. Light, watery, aromatic and fresh. There is very light touch of almond and spices that just add some weight to the "aromatic" part.

L’Homme Ideal Sport is a light, safe, inoffensive, and very lovely. The smell of a genuinely-nice man.

I really loved this and I wasn't expecting that.

L’Homme Ideal Sport is a calming warm weather wear that leans toward the young crowd a bit.

"Love"!

JanioScents

honest review this version of ideal line sport,
is kind of wierd to be honest sort of spicy & aquatic it's kind of generic that trying to be something different & at the same time i dont know if this is a perfume or a cologne because of the vibe it gives is kind of chaotic, it's not that bad, but just ok for a blue fragrance... this is a chimera on the ideal line.

if i were to re-create this to something pleasant appealing & sporty fragrance
i could just remove the spices switch to grapefruit
the coumarin switch for musk

Not sure why there are so many dislikes and hate reviews for a fragrance clearly designed to be mass-appealing. But maybe that's exactly it; folks have come to expect complexity and originality from Guerlain, and this fragrance is neither.

What it is, however, is a very pleasant, easy-to-wear, semi-sweet aquatic that still does not seem "generic." There is an air of familiarity here, for sure, and the fragrance was clearly inspired by Bleu de Chanel and all the other "blue" fragrances out there.

But L'Homme Ideal Sport is still its own fragrance. It's a fresh blast of watery notes and neroli, with the line's famous almond note tuned way down. Maybe it's missing that niche Guerlain character and that's why people don't like it? Well, I definitely do.

This just smells good. Don't overthink it.

Personally it smells quite similar to L'Homme Ideal Cologne but more aquatic. I don't know why people are hating this one.

If you missed out on the Cologne version due to discontinuation, and you don't mind marine/aquatic note, try this one. It's inferior but acceptable replacement for the Cologne version.

Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Sport opens with a soft projection of mildly sweet, almond, and watery notes. The opening is very light, faint, slightly sweet, fresh, simple, and pleasant. The almond is the most prominent note, yet it is light; the watery notes come up as fresh, breezy, and slightly salty. The neroli is a soft white floral touch with a citrus hint. The patchouli and vetiver are very light and faint green touch without any significant participation. The tonka is noticeable as soon as the fragrance is applied, and it adds a mild sweetness aroma to the fragrance. The fragrance is simple and linear, all featured notes come up as soon as the fragrance is applied and continue into the dry-down. Once Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Sport has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a low projection, mildly sweet, almond, and watery fragrance with very light white floral accords. The fragrance feels airy, breezy, delicate, diluted, diurnal, faint, fresh, inviting, light, modern, natural, slightly salty, short-lived, simple, sweet, unisex, white, and pleasant.

Love this one
It’s fresh and same DNA as the others!

Only bad things are projection and longevity -> weak
But you can’t overspray this one

It’s 25C in Montreal right now

I’ll do an update when temperatures will be in the 30C+ humidity

I love the L'homme ideal line, almost all of them are incredible but there are 2 that I don't like, this one and the eau de toilette.

It's a weird fragrance, it's like a perfume and a cologne at the same time, all and nothing.

The almond is generally a warm note, so despite being a neroli and aquatic scent, I dislike the almond here.
I know that is the star of the L'homme ideal collection, but they could have created this perfume differently, just my opinion, of course.

Neroli, vetiver, patchouli, spices, tonka bean... it is a perfume that doesn't make sense.
The aroma is ok, but to be sporty, I don't feel it fresh, it even makes me dizzy in warm environments and in cold environments it stands out very little, so I don't see the time of use.

It has a moderate sillage and a good longevity.

fisken23

A fresh, modern and well done fragrance. Not very sporty imo, more casual and office friendly. It has some similarity with bdc (which i love btw) but this is more aquatic.
This is one of my favourites at the moment and I think I’m going to spend a lot of time
with this buddy in the summer :)

alvinzm

An aquatic/blue freshness with a unique twist of almond. I'm surprised it doesn't get as much hype as it deserves (maybe because it isn't very unique after all?)

Well it is super great for me. It has some of the qualities of Bleu de Chanel, Y EDP, and other popular fragrances but it has that L'Homme Ideal's signature almond note that is very prominent.

I love it. Lasts surprisingly long too, with a good projection and sillage.

joseffgabriel

Very aquatic type of calone and a very potent one. Smells like dead fish to me. This is not generic. This has niche type of daringness. The almond is very well balanced but the calone acts as the fixatives of this fragrance making the drydown of this one a scrubber.

FreshFan

Tried this as last one from the Ideal line with low expectations but was suprised. A very versatile, refined aquatic imo. Finally an aquatic I like!

martinplace22

My first wearing today.
It has a smooth, creamy, buttery dry down which I adore.
The bonus is that my wife absolutely loves it and now rates Ideal Sport as number 1 in my collection of over 40 fragrances.
Very happy.

Guerlain Ideal Sport has changed my understanding of fragrances after having collected over 60.

Firstly, it doesn't reveal its potential by being applied after getting dressed.

As Chanel staff member taught me, many fragrances should be applied BEFORE getting dressed.

Ingredient in GIS, including calone, work with skin to create an individual aquatic musk. Think of the skin of a sunbather after a sea swim. Blue sky, sunlight and an aquatic breeze are invigorating.

Thus GIS works very well when applied broadly to the skin like a body spray and being in well lit airy and at least warmish enviroments. Blue sky adds to the sense of envigorated skin.

Bergmot, neroli and light subtle spice are all good, and what is exceptional is a creamy slightly soapy almond scent.

This creates a fresh, clean, masculine scent bubble that draws in female attention, making it pleasant to be close.

This is understated elegance like a crisply ironed shirt on an in-shaped man.

In short, GIS might seem to flop when applied in spots after dressing.

However, applied broadly to skin before dressing it creates the impression of a man with clean, freshly-showered glowing skin for six hours at least.

I really love the whole L’homme Ideal line and this is no exception. It’s fresh, and fits in with the “blue” craze nicely, but with a Guerlain touch. I think the biggest problem with this fragrance is the name. I think it should have been called Aqua instead of Sport.

Other than that it is a nice, somewhat generic but easy to wear fragrance.

a7_mad1991

Generic 'sport' cologne
Long lasting
Theres an annoying note buried in here that was off putting to me

mewakwon

just have a chance to try last week

this is not a bad scent

but it's underated due to it's open so generic aquatic
however the middle is great of almond & neroli
and good dry down

If the top note is shift to the citrus like the ideal colonge
this would be better due to middle note & drydown

so poor aquatic from guerlain
hope they can do better aquatic scent in the future

Buysblind

A watery, blue, sports-like fragrance with traces of the original buried beneath the bright, aquatic-citrus top. If you're patient, you'll catch wafts of the cherry almond accord pleasantly peeking through the very "blue" surface of this one. It projects well and lasts a while. Though Ideal Sport isn't my favorite in the line, it's actually grown on me, and I find it's the type of scent that is best when you just wear it and let it do its thing. No need to sniff this one up close over and over again and analyze the notes and all that stuff, just let it rock. It'll give you a nice, watery-fresh aura with a hint of something interesting behind it (the original, cherry-almond DNA). Worth what you can now find it for at discounters. Final rating 7.5/10

Przem

As if Ideal Cologne was castrated of citruses which makes it even more versatile and enables your nose to pick up other notes like almond better (than in the cologne).
Surprisingly good longevity although minor sillage. Good for office which is important for me.
I also think it deserves recognition as it is one of few sport colognes which does not try to kill you with citruses.
Scent 7.5/10.

amine23894

Reminded me of Bleu de Chanel edp without zest + Watery salty notes , has it's own character tho , better quality than other watery fragrances like D&G light blue intense

Hotshot35

There's nothing bad to say about this one. It is a good sport scent. You can tell the quality of the scent is better than you typical shower gel sport frag, but just not enough to separate it from the crowd to justify paying over $30 for IMO. Moderate performerand sillage average to just below average. You will smell good and maybe even get compliments but if you are expecting it to be anywhere similar to the rest of the Ideal line you will be disappointed. If you are a collector grab it otherwise you can spend less and smell similar.

Update: after a couple wearing my original review stands. Njce scent but you can have that almost exact scent by spending $12 on Curve Sport. Side by side almost identical however the creamy almond in Ideal does make it more smooth.

HouseofKeisha

I really enjoy the aquatic coolness, the almond sweetness and even the subtle spices contained in this EDT. It’s light and skin-baring, and very sexy to wear.

Fipo010812

What a beautiful fragrance , i liked more the drydown than the opening, i dont think that this fragrance its similar to other aquatic like Bleu,Sauvage,Dylan Blue , this have his own smell , its expensive even online , costs 50ml around 40€ , 100ml 60€ , i will buy if i get a good deal online
Its Aquatic, litle sweet, fresh and generic (no problem with that)
Dont blind buy it , its feminine/unisex.

EDIT- I paid 25€ for the 50ml bottle , and i really like this fragrance , its UNIQUE i never smell nothing like this.

Blueslippers

Underated Gem.

Deserves its place in the L'ideal lineup and is more useable and less "sickly sweet" than the cologne version.

You don't always want a symphony orchestra, a 3 piece suit or the height of sophistication.

Sometimes a nice pair of jeans and a decent T-Shirt fit the bill, make you look and feel good.

This is exactly that. A decent pair of jeans with a cool T-Shirt.

A solid release imho!

iL-J_L-Ji

This is an absolute amazing perfume. I get the whole
generic argument smells a bit like Sauvage another Aquatic yeah it's a shower gel Aquatic perfume. Yes it's mass appealing with its own uniqueness. A joy to where love it. 9/10

I myself do not understand the mediocre rating, the "meh"-reactions or even the hate this wonderful fragrance gets. I must confess that the sport version is my favorite of all the l'homme ideal fragrances. Sure, it's aquatic, but it has this subtle sweetness and warmth to it. Crisp, clean, cold but also warm and cozy like an open fireplace. Also most of the people say it's a summer only scent. For me it's one of my winter favorites and I only use it in fall or winter. When I smell the fragrance I imagine me leaving the house at a cold winter morning or evening, feeling the ice cold air on the skin of my face. I think that's the crisp, aquatic character of the fragrance. But then I remember I am being warm and cozy in my thick winter jacket, taking a deep breath to capture the fresh air before taking a walk out in the nature. But I imagine a rather industrial landscape. Not the usual winter wonderland but a winter landscape with view of the city lights or that old factory building in the background. This scent gives me so much imagination and emotions, it's a 10/10 for me :)

Mohammad Gibreel

Briefly; try it in (very hot days in summer) and it will be amazing.
To whom didn't love, just try it in hot summer
it's not for moderate days in summer, its for a hot wither.
I feel I am in (Swimming pool), an neroli is amazing, moderate vetiver, and alot of waterو A halo of water, clean fragrance
I Love it

L'Homme Ideal Sport could certainly be unisex. I love its glamourous lipstick vibe (as you rightly said!) that makes it so different from other tipically "sport" or "summer" scents and it seems that my skin likes it too.
Despite it has being called sporty fragrance, it wafts all around many hours after one spray only.

RodgyV

This fragrance reminds of Bleu de Chanel..it's got that lipstick vibe like BDC. It's a nice safe fragrance for daytime use. Longevity on me is not very good, couple hours and seems like only skin scent. But haven't tested among lots people to see if sillage is any good. Seems like arm's length for first hour or so then just a personal space fragrance. As in people within ur personal space may smell it?.

7 out of 10.

nszlufik

This is a very unique fragrance despite all the other reviews out there. This is the first scent that combines that fresh and aquatic nature (which has obviously been explored before in so many different ways) with the rather unique yet heavy veil of almond. Where Ive been underwhelmed with sport fragrances in the past that have just a nuanced combo of aquatic/marine and citrus blended together, Guerlain makes this a perfect summer daytime fragrance that is uplifting yet sporty and not in a strikingly tart/citric way. Ive found my hot weather fragrance to be L'eau Boise, this is definitely not a bad choice and a great choice if you enjoy the warm spicy or almond accords.

dolcethadon

I finally was able to get a quick sniff of this "Sport" flanker of "Guerlain L'Homme Ideal" & my first impression is that I like it! Ever since I heard someone compare this fragrance to a male version of "Chanel Coco Mademoiselle" I had been dying to try it.. Now this is just my first impression as I was only able to get a quick sniff on paper but right away I knew exactly what that person meant! Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Sport opens up nice & fresh yet you can tell right away that it has some depth to it.. I do detect some of the L'Homme Ideal DNA as there is a touch of that almond accord in there yet this fragrance strays further from L'Homme Ideal than even L'Homme Ideal Cologne did.. There are some floral notes which lend this Sport flanker somewhat of an almost unisex/feminine vibe to it.. A very nice patchouli note in the base stands out which contrasts nicely with the fresh aquatic opening & the floral heart along with with those touches of sweet almond.. That patchouli note contrasting with the other notes is most likely where that "Chanel" comparison came from.. Anyways I definitely want to get to know this fragrance better as it is the first fragrance out of the "Guerlain L'Homme Ideal" line that I actually might want to add to my collection!

GRAF

The least interesting from the Ideal line. Mass pleasing generic aquatic scent easy to wear it any time any place.

Dominant notes are aquatic notes, neroli, mild almonds, mild patchouli and mild vetiver.

Get something with personality and beautiful smell like Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Cologne for warm weather. The sport version is very boring.

chrizla_b

Wow! I just don't get the hate for this fragrance.

Nothing groundbreaking I know, but still a gorgeous fresh scent with that almond touch, and familiar guerlain-ade in the dry down.

Houdini4

For me the Ideal accord has certain ‘Goldilocks zones’ where it works and this version might just be a departure too far. Here’s the history of my option on Ideal and it’s flankers, I didn’t really like the original, I found it disappointing, sweet rubbish. Then the EDP or deeper version, for some bizarre reason I quite liked even though it was possibly sweeter and even more icky, but sometimes it’s a case of...if you’re gonna go there might as well go all the way. Then the ultimate plateaux was Ideal Cologne which mixed the original accord with more fresh notes, I really liked it and perchased, and actually wear often. Ideal Sport still has vague glimpses of the almond base but they are much more distant now and the top notes and main vibe are that of a generic, aquatic. I find it boring but not unpleasant it’s fresh and when dried down smells a bit more interesting than the hundreds of aquatics it smells like because of that Ideal pedigree. Is it something I’m interested in? Not really performance was fairly good though.
Update: I can’t believe I was So blasé about this fragrance, upon sampling again its actually a brilliantly well realised aquatic. It’s a class act, reminding me a touch of amazingreen, classic cologne type fragrances, modern aquatics and a touch of the gourmand basis of the original. I really like it.

Leslie Lee

I have tested twice before purchased this fragrance. At first I don't really like it when I sprayed on my arm. But on the following day, the smell kept lingering in my mind. So I decided to give a second try. This time I change my mind and I like it very much. It smell very much between Bleu de Chanel and Chanel Allure Homme Sport. But Ideal Sport is more moderate which suit me more. You can spray more but without headache and nausea. (No offence to others from overpowering.)Sillage and Performance are so-so.
Which I think it allows people who loves you to get closer to you for a good sniff.

obahnas

I do not know why all the hate on this one? It is - in a way - a twin brother of the L'homme Ideal EDC vis a vis (am I using this word right?) vibe and lightness - ofcourse, the scent is different in essence...you can smell the water notes and the neroli along with the famous almond note in there.

All I know is when I received this one, it just made me smile...a lot.

A perfect early morning scent for the summer.

Saeid Scent

I have sample of ideal sport and can't get what are all these hates for?whatever this perfume is...it's not a bad one!really!it's kind of perfume that everyone will like and enjoy it.a casual and lovable perfume with acceptable performance.IMO it really worth the price.Perfum houses all around the world produce many fragrances at many different levels.we sould not compare this one to a niche class perfume.at its level its a really good fragrance.I think i will buy a full bottle as soon as i can reach it.

Spasticink

Take Ideal Cologne and remove citrus notes. This is what you get.

This is NOT GOOD and TOTALY NOT WORTHy for this price.

Perfumato

No much work or creativity , i'm maybe over simplifying my review but honestly i perceive this release from guerlain as versace pour homme or chanel allure sport with few tweaks.

PASS.

Cheers.

Davidparis

I just got this fragrance for my birthday and I can only praise the man who selected it. For anyone who loves l'homme idéal it is a must have. I don't agree with those who say it is like the cologne. This one has vetiver and a marine smell. Very easy to wear and still different to the other fragrances in the series. Well done.

carera

intense copy of the summer cologne.

frk200

Start like the edt but gingery before 10min it's like the cologne version, i really smell ginger and pink peper in there.

Intoner

I tested all of perfumes they have on their counter including this one. I end up bought Habit Rouge Dress Code 2016 because it pleased my love one so much that he would even buy another one for himself in the future. In the process I got a sample bottle of L’Homme Ideal Sport.

I have the urge to write a review of this meek child of L’Homme Ideal family because of the poor rating it got.

This one open up with fresh watery citrus from watery note and neroli. It reminds me of grapefruit which smells generic in perfume market these days. (And I think everyone loves that smell. lol)
Quickly follow up by smooth almond and mild spice, I really love this creamy stage. I got soft patchouli, vetiver and spice for the dry down which still contains Guerlain's signature and quality.

Since L’Homme Ideal EDP is my BF's signature scent, I have to say that the sport version is a predecessor watered down and add watery note plus citrusy. Then, you got this easy to wear sport flanker that I assumed it made for casual situation unlike the others from the family.

Sadly, the longevity is weak and the sillage is skin scent soft.
I can't get any whiff of it after 2 hours. Though, It still there if I sniff my arm... hard. On a bright side, you can completely overspray this one. XD Overall, L’Homme Ideal Sport is a "like" for me.

I think this one targeted the people that new to perfume or people that strong perfume cause their headache. Unfortunately, If Guerlain want this one to compete with other sport perfumes in these days market, it will lose without a doubt.

If you want to try the one that differ from the fam, go for L’Homme Ideal Cologne. It's snow like cold. It's fresh yet unique. It's... gooodd.

hawks_eye_

I've decided to write a review because I believe L'Homme Ideal Sport deserves some love.

First, I'd like to say that I wore this each day for over a month after I bought it.
I've gotta say it smells decent in the first few minutes but, after the hour, every time I smelled it, it felt like heaven. On me, most days it would last over 12 hours; this and its pleasant scent makeup for the soft-moderate sillage.

Oddly and surprisingly, every day it somewhat smelled differently, as if this guy had a range of ups (never downs), but always similarly in its fresh-aquatic personality, which I certainly love.
Most of the time, it is fresh-aquatic, never citric, and sometimes creamy, like it's brother, the original L'Homme Ideal. Also, some days I picked up the neroli and it'd be such a pleasant surprise.

It's fresh, multifaceted and enticing scent make it my favorite out of all the L'Homme Ideal family, especially for everyday casual wear.

I love smelling it at random moments of the day on the top of my hand, where I usually spray it aside from my neck, and it's even better when I take a deep breath at that spot!

If you're lucky, it'll rain on you and it will suddenly come alive! ...or you can jump in the pool or take a shower for the same experience.

*Other things I should mention, just in case, is that every time I put some on me and walked past my mother, she'd always compliment me. Same happened when my sister came over for a poolside family reunion.

Also, when I tested it at a department store, it always smelled boldly like a creamy almond, and it seemed way too similar to the first L'Homme Ideal, which made me doubt whether I would love or want this. But, like I've said, this strays away from it because it truly is a fresh-aquatic.

Hope this helps anyone with doubts and encourages you to give it a chance!!!

Guinea54

Think the fragrance is getting too much hate. Its simply a generic offering with decent quality. It does smell very basic at first but there are hints that come out at you that smell of quality. The almond for me is very tame and in the background. I wouldn't even really pick it out if I wasn't aware of it. Its got a little bit of that smooth and slightly creamy freshness that versace pour homme has.. It has the same aquatic tinge that nautica voyage has and also a soapy freshness feel slightly like mont blanc individual. add a tiny hint of vanilla.. And I mean very small because its not really a sweet scent to me..

Overall it will be a familiar and generic smell to most of you guys.. A generic freshie with some of the elements I have mentioned done in a decent quality formula.

Scent 3.5/5
Performance not rated yet.. Appears at least average.

strut

It's like Frankenstein, 40% jimmy choo ice, 40% bulgari aqua amara, 20% mugler ice man.
But this one is done much better then the others. I actuali wouldn't mind to wear it, nothing that I can say about the others.

Edit: in the middle part the mugler ice man grew to 35%.

themattsky

Awful!

Das Huffer

Ouch, but this one was a let down. I was nervous about this release to begin with (anytime I see "Sport" I cringe), but being such a huge fan of Guerlain I tried to keep an open mind.
Well, an open mind wasn't enough to give this one a passing grade, I'm afraid. The other family members in the Homme Ideal line felt like there was a vision behind them, whereas Sport just came across so generic and brash.
There's both aquatic and gourmand components wrestling away here in a less-than-pleasing manner, and in a way which we've smelled in any number of mens care products available on pharmacy shelves.
That being said, even my favourite musicians are prone to putting out an album or two which might not resonate with where I'm at at the moment. Does it mean I love them any less? No. I just have to hope that the particular album was something they had to get out of their system. There's always the back catalogue to hold my respect intact.

I copied the park review by lowering the final vote.

mutatismutandis

I've tried all the L'Homme Ideal line from Guerlain and I liked them. Unfortunately this one is a disappointment. The smell is pleasant enough. It opens with a burst of almond and mint with a vague hint of spice. The L'Homme Ideal DNA is immediately apparent. About 20 minutes in, there's some kind of salt water note and something vaguely earthy (possibly the vetiver) which appear. 30 minutes in the neroli comes in and the tonka/coumarin vibe is detectable.

It's a skin scent from start to finish and an hour in, it starts to fade. Somewhere between two and half and three hours later, it is gone. Disappointing.

If you like the smell but you want it to last, get the cologne version instead. The cologne version is creamier and rounder and lasts longer. It's a better blend with better longevity and projection. The Sport is a nice enough smell but not worth the bother, I'm sorry to say.

Edit: The L'Homme Ideal Cool version does this idea better.

Raidthesaladbar

It hasn't been long since Guerlain showed everyone how a sports flanker is done right (Habit Rouge Sport). So what the hell happened with L'Homme Idéal Sport? My guess is that a memo floated down from LVMH, telling Thierry Wasser to make a sporty-freshie to commemorate Guerlain's transformation into a mass market brand - that's like commissioning a jingle for supermarket froyo from Frédéric Chopin. Or maybe they realised that the original L'Homme Idéal was a bellyflop and just decided to milk it.

Either way, L'Homme Idéal Sport is a confused mess of disjointed notes. Habit Rouge Sport worked because it eschewed the standard procedure for sport flankers (which is to remove everything that made the original memorable, and dilute the rest fifty-fifty with a generic aquatic base). L'Homme Idéal Sport, on the other hand, follows this formula to the letter, and the result is utterly unworthy of the Guerlain name. It's not necessarily worse than the average sports fragrance, but absolutely abysmal by the house's lofty standards.

Please, Guerlain, leave this crap to Dior and Chanel, and go back to making real fragrances again.

RB75

Tested this in the city yesterday and also got a small sample.
I love the salt water scent.
To me it smells of neroli, a bit woody and salt water with a soft projection.
Personally I do not smell almond.
It is very nicely composed.
Very much of a hot summer perfume. I can imagine this works fantastic in a more tropical climate than south Germany :) it somehow matches great with my profile picture.
Will i buy a bottle? I would like this to smell more of citrus. But then i really love the salty notes. Not sure if i will get a bottle. Need to sniff it some more.
But this has potentials to become a mens summer classic. I just hope they market it well.

So we lost Guerlain Homme L'Eau, the perfect sport fragrance, and this is what we get? What a joke!

Q80

This one is just too much. Metallic aquatic common boring blend that accompanies headache that has been repeated over and over and over under a tag named "Sport". I have always believed that "sport" tag was A flop, and this fragrance proves it all! No almonds, no tonka beans, and no patchouli! just a pinch of spices, citrus and metallic water.

Guerlain are quite smart creating this fragrance and attach to it's ad who supposed to be sexy(ish) so will guys purchase it thinking they'll get sexy. Ironically, there are still some reviewers on youtube who believes "the only reason to wear a fragrance is to get girls attentions AND to get laid", it's like WTH! are girls really that cheap to your point of view! we are in 2017 and still there are cheap thrills out there and Guerlain is taking advantage of that. WELL DONE Guerlain :)

samuelgustav

Before I say what I'm about to say, I'm a Guerlain fan, but this one is a mess, trying to be everything at the same time, and capturing all the mass appealing smells in the market while retaining the almond accord typical in the homme line, but the worst part, a very cheap sharp synthetic background (like cleaning product) that ruins everything if it wasn't already ruined.

Don't take this has a blasphemy, if you love this good for you, this is just my opinion and smell is a very subjective manner. Definitely try before buy it.

All in all, this is not Guerlain quality standard and seems rushed in some weird way, definitely a pass.

daithi

The almond accord of the original is definitely there, but drowned in the same woody-aquatic accord of Bleu de Chanel and Dior Sauvage.

Another hideous offering from Guerlain. The brand wants to open 100 stores worldwide during the next years. Soon Guerlain will be the new Yves Rocher, but disguised in fake exclusivity and exaggerated prices.

Molko

On the paper strip smells like a man shower gel indeed, but on my skin I find it more feminine. Aromatic, fresh and sweet in the right way, very easy tolerate, I like it, maybe I can wear all year around as everyday "unisex" frag:) Reminds me of something in the past but dont know the name or it's just a supermarket's shower gel smell:D

JovanK

Pleasant and fresh fragrance. Very versatile in summer, doesn't have pronounced casualness or classiness, it's somewhere in the middle. Longevity is pretty good (at least on paper). It has that shower gel smell to it but overall it's great. A love from me.

Grenouille'sPlum

So this frag has motivated me to finally register on this site and this is going to be my very first review on here.

Guerlain is my favourite brand and I wanted to love this new scent as I do the others in my collection but I cannot- it is far too weak and does not project well, maybe if you apply huge amount but that is what you really should not want to be doing with this allegedly EDT.

Seriously even the official website did not have any info on this until today and it's already been launched for like a week here in the NL, the website also states in the description it is long lasting which is really deceitful of them as it is not true at all! Becomes a skin scent after an hour and a half, you probably get to smell it a bit again when you take a shower in the eve as the hot water would activate it a bit again.

Overall, first time I am very disapointed with Guerlain, a bad move indeed, the one us true fans of the house hate to see. They should have kept the three frags of the line and never add this weak after gym scent, or an after shower bed time smell cause noone will smell it on you anyway.

It is very linear, simple, smells pretty much the same from start to finish, overall quite nice, would appeal to <20 year olds who haven't smelled many frags yet. Has an Abercrombie Fitch casual vibe to it, not worth the name Guerlain.

Even Mr Wasser who is an otherwise talented perfumer cannot be serious about this and I remember him disagreeing about so many flankers the company seems to be making policy and believe he is just coerced to do whatever the profit greedy managers who destroy the brand tell him to do.

Scent:5/10 Sillage: 3/10 Longevity:3/10 Guerlain Disaster!!!

I just received a 50ml bottle as a gift from our local Guerlain counter in Melbourne.....this is a beautiful and elegant edition to the L'Homme Ideal line...to me this fragrance is all about the gorgeous vetiver and patchouli dry down.....on my skin it is very long lasting and can be easily smelt the next morning which is unusual for a fresh fragrance.......for once an Aquatic done right.....8/10

Update::::all the people calling this a "disaster" obviously havent been smelling the rubbish coming out of Paco Rabbane and Dolce & Gabbana for many many years

Josh87

I've tried out L'Homme Ideal Sport and I like the scent, so did my girlfriend. Very fresh, aquatic and smooth. Sadly this perfume fades away quite quickly. After 1,5 hour it was gone.

JanneMan45

This one is out now!....24 april

Have seen it here in the Netherlands @ Douglas & IciParisXL.

Did not test it yet.

Whhhaaaaattt??? Too much hate already lol

Can't add a review as I have never smelled it before. However, I have smelled all the others from this line and if it's in the same vein, I don't see how it could be bad. By the way Coco Mademoiselle is my favorite fragrance for women. I just love the smell. If Thierry took that and made a more masculine version, I think I may just punch someone in the face - in a good way.

@Babieluv thanks for clarifying didn't know there's such a thing. I admire the richness and performance quality of Coco Mademoiselle can't wait to try this baby next month:)

Babieluv

@sniffmaster I'm guessing these are the people who receive fragrances months prior official release in terms of reviewing perfumes for magazines and so. A friend of mine is one of those lucky bastards :)

sniffmaster

This fragrance has not been released yet while someone already suggested it smells like the male version of coco Mademoiselle. How funny is that!

dolcethadon

@Jasminalia - If what you say is true that this new L'Homme Ideal flanker smells somewhat like a male version of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle than count me in! Oh how I wish Chanel would make a male version of Mademoiselle! It smells so good! I suspect that this L'Homme Ideal Sport will be very well done as all of the L'Homme Ideal flankers have been very nice in my opinion! Can't wait to get my nose on it & than I will update with a proper review..

Jasminalia

Very odd fragrance. A kind of masculine version of Coco Mademoiselle. A clean patchouli warmed with florals, fruity almond and refreshed with a huge dose of aquatic molecules. Original but weird.

Sick people, how could you vote and talk about a perfume that you did not smell yet

miletto

carera

I hope it reach soon !

RobbieX

Please try this and, only then, give us your opinions please.....thanks folks!

miletto

Probably smells like aventus

Gokhanburak53

I dont care if its flanker or not, notes look promising and bottle is beautiful. Just do not mislead yourselves with hatred of flankers. Wait, smell and decide the result after.

andonirdc

EXCITED !
Who cares if the name of the flanker is SPORT ? We had Habit Rouge Sport from Guerlain that was not "sporty" at all but very flowery and beautiful instead...
Moreover, to me, almond, neroli, spices and patchouli don't sound like sporty notes at all. Let's see what the duo Wasser/Jelk prepared for us this time around. I hope it's gonna be heavy on the neroli with strong almond and vetiver undertones. Let's wait and see. :)

JeffreyHan

For those who already votes on longevity and sillage but haven't smell it yet, go seek for help!.. you are sick..

frk200

Stop voting please if you don't smell it please

Spasticink

Please stop voting.
It's not released yet !
Can this be turned off ?

ken.z008

Look at these idiots voting in March 2017 for a fragrance that will be released in May 2017.
And to the person saying its time for SHALIMAR sport, it will never happen!

the_new_esta

hahaha regliss34, Shalimar sport made me lmao

sniffmaster

Valentino or Guerlain summer releases? Surprisingly both without ginger and cardamom YaaaaaaaY :)
Vetiver and patchouli go well hand in hand, I have strong feeling guerlain will be playing it simple i.e. Happy fresh scent with outstanding longevity? Let's find out, shall we?

reglisss34

Be prepared ...it s time for SHALIMAR sport !
