I have had Fico d’Elba for quite some time, and I don’t know why I’m putting down this review only now, that’s not even Summer.
I sprayed just a bit on my left wrist before going out for no particular reason: I forgot how potent this is.
Again, just two sprays on one wrist, it felt like a truck of fig trees ran me over.
Everyone I met tonight was wondering where this fig smell was coming from.
Quite frankly, I prefer Phylosikos EDT, for it’s more subtle and caressing. This overdose from Fico d’Elba can be too much, and maybe I chose the wrong moment to wear it.
Anyway, a big yes for how faithful it is to a mediterranean summery experience and for its performance.

A really great green natural smelling perfume. Absolutely my favourite for the summer, I wear it together with 78 vintage green from Banana Republic and for me, it’s the best summer fresh green garden after rain vibes perfume. Love the fig leafs, the ivy, the galbanum ( what makes Chanel 19 one of my favourite scents ever ) so this is my summer hit this year!
Sprayed under my ponytail and I smelled it even the next morning.
Lovely crispy fresh. Winner!

What a hidden gem! I ADORE this scent! Hands down The Best fig fragrance for me. Fresh but not too green, sweet without any sweetness. I find that the notes listed here are pretty much spot on. Smells amazingly natural, unbelievably natural! It says it is EDP but in reality it is more like Cologne. It lasts just under an hour on skin and clothes. In windy mild weather it does project a little bit if applied to skin but I detect almost zero projection from clothes. I could try to extend the longevity of this perfume by using oils and body creams first but lately I've been trying to stop applying perfumes directly on my skin, now I only spray them on my clothes so using creams/oils is not an option... I still LOVE this scent but because I drench myself in Fico d'Elba I think I will go through my 50ml in like a couple of weeks :-D

I completely agree with the reviewer below that the drydown is heavenly and so unique! In fact, of all 3 perfumes that I tried from this house they all had an amazing and unique base! I've been on "Italian artisan perfumery" kick lately :-D and I'm so so impressed! I don't even know now how I will ever be able to go back to those hyped-up "trendy perfumes" that ALL smell the same in the base - either non-descript "woody" or "something ambery" or "sweet/musky" and that's all :-(

PS. You can get it directly from the manufacturer even if you're in the US (they have a US online shop) and the prices are great compared to other Italian perfumes that were unfortunately hyped up by ubiquitous youtubers.

I was looking for a realistic fig scent, I really liked Philosykos edp (didn't try the edt) because on me it is a perfume that evokes the note of fig in the greenest part, that is the leaf and the tree even if then in the drydown it softens a little evoking the fruit but not becoming sugary but remaining fresh and herbal instead. Fico d'Elba opens green in the same way on me, very green but the evolution is faster towards the fig fruit, it becomes sweeter than philosykos edp and warmer, probably because the coconut here is more milky than Philosykos edp and for the sandalwood. I like both, they are the most realistic I tried because the fig is the real protagonist, without being clouded by other notes. Fico d'Elba I find it excellent, natural ingredients, no artificiality. Between the two, therefore, the choice depends on the skin of each and in my opinion if you prefer a fresher and greener effect or a warmer and sweeter effect. On me the projection of Fico d'Elba is more powerful than philosykos edp, probably because it is warmer because of the sandalwood, but both remain quite personal fragrances that are perceived at a very short distance. For the duration I find both need more sprays during the day like all perfumes with natural ingredients. Both however beautiful and in my opinion very elegant and refined.

This one, unexpectedly, beats Philosykos for me. I spritzed them both on my wrists for comparison. Philosykos EDP opens so pleasantly, while Fico d'Elba's opening is a bit too sour. However, what follows is a rather quiet and not too interesting dry down for Diptyque and one of THE most beautiful dry downs I've experienced so far in Erbario Toscano's corner. Quite long-lasting on my skin as well - around 8hrs. It's the first cheapie I'm so content with.

This bears more resemblance to Premier Figuier by L'Artisan Parfumeur than to Philosykos Edp. In comparison to Philosykos, which I absolutely love, this is less green, more creamy and it's sweeter as well and for me - leans slightly more feminine. It smells very natural, but it isn't the photorealistic Fig tree of Philosykos Edp. The differences are notable enough (in opening striking) for me to justify the price of Philosykos Edp, but it does not have to be your case. Because Fico d'Elba is definitely a very good perfume (despite poor, alcohol-y opening). It is a harmonious composition, very well blend and definitely of high quality. If you love figs, try it. This is a hidden gem and one of the best cheapies out there and it could become your favorite. Don't believe the sillage and longevity ratings here though :)

Eau de lys

It really does smell like Philosykos edp just a bit sweeter and with coconut in more of the forefront which gives a bit of the shower-gel/shampoo effect. Medium projection on skin with a bit more of a green-floral element almost like a fresh bouquet.

Fragandalf

Such a realistic and evocative fig scent, gives me the feeling of lying under a big fig tree on a hot day. Surprisingly good performance as well. Forget about Philosykos, this is the best fig scent ever, and oh so affordable.

I am not the biggest fan of fig scents in perfumes (such as in Philosykos by Diptyque or Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma), but smelling this one, it is impossible not to admit this: the fig accord in Fico d'Elba is extremely realistic, well done and natural, probably even more than in the other two.

Oh my.

This was so unexpected guys. This perfume smells 95% identical to Philosykos by Diptyque. And believe me, I own Philosykos and it is one of my very favourites.

I smelled it without much optimism - 10 ml for 12€... a cheapie. Probably bad, I thought. It will be one of those disgusting synthetic messes.

Nope. It was great and I was shocked to smell my beloved Philosykos in it. I couldn't believe it.

Bravo! Such a zingy fig solo etude! From the very first moment, it pushes you deep into the middle of a jammy fig microcosm. The major question is whether you are ready to be literally eaten by a fig tree for at least three hours,..or not.

Overwhelmingly welcoming and quite a marathon-runner, this is a rare type of full-bodied fragrance which is always ready to take a leading part in the process of making your life optimistic and carefree. It will either play chicken with you or practically intrude itself upon each and every person you interact with. So please no worries, no drama, no strings attached. For example, I would never put it on prior to an important business meeting with a bunch of people talking numbers. It would be too stressful for them focusing on not to be eaten by a fig tree which already ate you.

Straightforward zingy juice for myself, for my beloved ones around, and for those people who undoubtedly wanna be loved by me.

Good for private celebrations, classical/jazz/indie concerts, evening ceremonies. Best for a plentiful spring/summer holiday feast. Positive and yummy vibes only.

UPD: A friend of mine released a compliment and asked whether it is a coconut centered perfume. So I am not sure about fig solo since coconut appears to be very noticeable for people around. :)

Fresh, green, authentic fig leaves, wood and sap.
Long lasting and good projection.
Not expensive.
If you're looking for the best fig scent (my opinion), your search is over.
Check out also other fragrances from this excellent House, specially Cuore di Pepe Nero and Vaniglia Piccante; both very potent, pleasant and long lasting.

Absolutely and 100% agree with reviews below. If you are into figue fragrances and notes this one is the best. Nothing overbearing or heavy. Fresh realistic figue. To me it is even better than Dyptique and less expensive. Great find for a great price!

I completely agree with Deetron. For me this is the best fig tree perfume I've tried for the moment. It is quite realistic and good quality in an uncomplicated way. I've come to understand that I like my fig perfumes that way, maybe it is because I usually connect smelling fig trees with holidays and free time. Anyway, the truth is that very complicate fig perfumes tend to become annoying in the end to me. Fico d'Elba is optimistic, easy, sunny and more woody than fruity. It has a very good performance and it keeps fresh all the way to the drydown.

I should have bought a full bottle in my last visit to Siena.

Deetron

Fico d`Elba is an amazing scent - fresh, green, uplifting, perfectly juicy with soft creamy vibe. In the drydown there is wonderful woody-green-leafy notes that are so well blended... Mmm this is truly gorgeous fig-based scent that has high quality and excellent performance. I can only recommend it, because it's so natural smelling, so captivating at niche level and at the same time it's not too expensive. At this moment, to me this is a hidden gem that represents the different faces of fig note in a beautiful way.
