It is so literally fascinating, how the same scent can be so different for each individual. For GON Lovely, I don't get an actual mint note, I get the same sort of cooling vibe/sensation that you get from something like Alien (OG), or Libre, or Armani Code, but I do not detect mint at all. The rosemary is also very light-I've heard a review that it makes the scent savory but that is definitely not the case to me, it's still 100% sweet. It is very similar to the original GON, but I think it's actually closer to Shine. One thing that makes it different from both is that it is not as heavy and syrupy. I do occasionally, actually most often, love a sweet, decadent fragrance. The other flankers can be a bit much, especially in warmer temps. I feel like Lovely is a more crowd-friendly version. She is lighter, but make no mistake, she isn't *light*. I personally do not have to respray, unless I really want to get those opening notes really bright again, at all. I love this even more than the original. It actually is probably one of my top three scents. It's almost a caramel scent to me-I'd daresay some was hiding in there if I didn't see the actual notes. I get no anise. That's actually a bit of a disappointment, I like that note quite a bit. It's a decadent, (but not cloying), yummy, feminine fragrance with great lasting power and silage. Highly recommend.

For a designer scent and for being sold for such a reasonable price, Girl of Now Lovely is a fantastic value perfume. Bottle has a unique design, pretty but quite classic looking. The name is very uninspired in my opinion..

It’s a very interesting mix of aromatics: mint, patchouli and rosemary, floral notes: orange blossom, blackcurrant blossom, galbanum, frangipani and rose, plus nuts: almonds and tonka and fruits: pear and mandarin oranges. The blend is smooth, balanced and has an interesting scent profile.

If you’re not a mint person, don’t shy away from trying this one. It gives me mojito vibes not toothpaste for the one that are scared of this note. Together with the sweeter notes the almonds and the vanilla creates a wonderful scent trail. I am really impressed by this and I am planning to get a full bottle as soon as I can get a good sale on it!

As far as performance and versatility goes, again nothing bad to say. Performs really well, it’s strong and has good projection for the first hour. Can be worn most of the year, since it’s so complex but not cloying, heavy or overwhelming. Maybe avoid it during summer high heat.

Very delicious and underrated scent!! I would not call this a mass appealing scent but definitely stands out in the designer world. Don’t know who the nose is behind this juice, but did an outstanding job, this it’s a creative scent without being too strange or too niche smelling to wear on a daily basis!

Starts similar to super sweet JPG scandal but ends up masculine. Im glad I sprayed this in store before choosing this to my monthly subscription. I can very clearly smell the ambroxan and I do not like it.

Yasmeena0

This one is veryyyyyyyy strong, it smells like ysl libre le parfum /such a sweet and cozy scent with impressive lasting power 💜

Utopia76

Opens very good, different, fresh. After 15 minutes it becomes La Vie Est Belle Soleil Crystal! Because I already have that one, I do not need this GON flanker.

gtabasso

A little mint for freshness, a little tonka for depth, lots of pear, mostly frangipani and orange blossom in the vein of JPG Classique meets Lancome Idole. There is no almond, rosemary, mandarin, anise, galbanum, amber or rose detected by my nose. Maybe a hint of patch in the drydown but it smells more like a skanky sweet musk.

AgusMartinez

Amazing scent! Aromatic, floral, sweet. Definitely a cousin to YSL libre. Love it
In the opening you can fully appreciate its green/herbal notes. I must say I am not a fan of green notes in perfumes but this one still captivated me. At all times there is an underlying sweetness, not overpowering. When you get to the mid-notes you start perceiving the flowers more. Tonka and Ambroxan are there all along.
If you like Libre by YSL you should like this one too.
Season-wise I would say all except summer.

nicoleeexx

this perfume smells like the greenness of libre by ysl and the sweet floral quality of flowerbomb by viktor and rolf had a baby. to my nose, the mint isn’t strong and therefore the note doesn’t bother me. overall a really great smelling perfume. i fell in love with it right away, and did what i usually do with perfumes. i wore it for a day, and decided to go back the very next day and buy it. i got it for a great deal, 30 euros for 30ml. pleasant scent for sure, a potential signature scent.

Icarel

I don't really notice any difference with the OG, except that this one has a subtle fresh note of mint and a bit of anise. Maybe rosemary. But it's exceptionally light, I must look for it. So, it's a little less sweet than the OG but still has the same qualities: warm, easy, nutty and sweet and I won't reiterate what I said about the OG. It can be worn in conditions just a little bit warmer than the OG, in my opinion, but here we stay in a really light twist. It remains very pleasant if you like the nutty and oriental family to which it belongs. Overall, I think it's the kind of perfume to try several times to understand it and see the difference, so to be seen in the long term :) However, I do not understand the "Lovely" part as I do not find lovely, just minty...

Kuty22

Definitely my least favorite of the line
Smells like sore throat's tea 🍵or sore throat drops, it has an ointment, type of medicine scent to it.
The mint stays but it's not refreshing, in my opinion this is not fresh enough for hot weather, somehow I'm getting thyme 🤔
The original is the best if you like almond and pistachio.
The shine version smells like Kombucha and the Forever has this artificially sweet raspberry note, that is not for me.
This one is unique, I'll give it that

Edit: after 4 hours it smells good to me, but still very much like Himalayan tea

Edit:😭 😭
My wicked tongue 😝
This scent is great, I really don't like on the skin but the sillage, the projection, the scent bubble is absolutely beautiful... What a spin, Forever is my least favorite after all (I have it for 2 years now I doubt it will change)

Edit: got rid of the GON Forever, finally - I really couldn't stand it.
Lovely is definitely my second favorite

This is close to the Girl of Now EDP, but the whole
scent profile is lighter and fresher. Mint, orange, and pear are very noticeable in the entrance, then it develops into that familiar GON DNA in the mid and drydown, but it’s not as dense and heavy, it could be because of the other florals added. A really enjoyable fragrance to wear, for both day and night. 😊

Silt4

This is so nice! I like the original, but it's almost a bit too sweet and dense for my taste. GON lovely is fresher, classier and more professional, but still sweet and playful. I can see myself wearing this daily at work, it's almost signature worthy for me. Opening is more fresh and classy, and anis in the middle give this perfume a nice kick from the sweetest of them all-territory.

sophie sanderson

The 2 perfume notes of mint and rosemary are so strong they just end up over powering the rest of the perfume put it bluntly and it's not so nice to smell or wear either I've just had so scrub it off my skin

sophie sanderson

My honest reviews are I think they should of left out the mint and rosemary they do not do this perfume any good at all girl of now shine my favourite then the original Ellie Saab then girl of now forever this one is at the bottom of the pile and all I can say is I wish the perfume matched up to its name because it does not smell so lovely to me at all and those 2 perfumes notes just spoil the rest of the perfume from the 1st time it's bn sprayed sad to say I don't really like this and it doesn't smell so nice either it's more masculine than feminine it gets a thumbs down from me I will not be buying this and I would not recommend any one else buy it and id get a tester if you want to try it out

Porscha_7

I am a huge fan of Girl of Now - I love Girl of Now, Girl of Now Forever and Girl of Now Shine, but GoN Lovely is not my scent at all. It is too herbal, at some point it reminds me of shaving soap. It is not totally bad, I believe there are girls that will love it, but I will stay with GoN Forever and GoN original :)
And something weird that I am noticing - My GoN Forever 50 ml bottle has sign "Made in France", but GoN Forever 90 ml bottle (the twos are bought from same shop here in Bulgaria) says "Made in Italy" and it does has different opening scent (the one from France is better). Does anyone else had the same experience as me?

Jezebelle

I like it, it's what it sounds like, Girl of Now with a herbal twist. It's still very sweet but a little bit more elegant. Girl of now og is probably the sweetest perfumes I have, it's a 10 on a 1-10 scale, GoN Lovely would be an 7.8. The mint is very faint and only lasts very little.
Like someone else said : Don't test this one at the same time with the original, it makes this one smell weird.
But on it's own I think it's still a "crowd pleasing" perfume.

SailorV

I must admit that I'm not the biggest fan of Girl of Now, but the mix of sweet and green/herbal notes made me very curious to try this flanker.
The cute bottles also really make me want to love something from this line.

The DNA of the original is clearly noticeable in GoN Lovely. The most important note is a very sweet, creamy, vanillic almond, supported by tonka bean, which is also very much on the almondy side here. The green notes are noticeable, too, especially the mint really shines right from the beginning. I also get slight hints of black currant bud, anise and even galbanum, but the notes are subtle and not that herbaceous or bitter. They just make the whole scent a little fresher and airier than the very dense Girl of Now EDP. I think the mandarin is quite present, too, I get a green mandarin vibe here.

This is a good flanker for the warmer months, if you like GoN and perfumes with a minty touch. For my personal taste it's just okay, I think the herbal notes like rosemary could have been a little more pronounced to make it really interesting. But maybe this line just isn't for me. Despite my usual love for sweet fragrances, it just doesn't have the right kind of sweetness for me, I find it somewhat cloying.

kiraj717

This smells like Irish Spring soap once it dries down. The opening is a tease of goodness but once it sets the fresh green essence pops out.

Robinbird90

FYI i got an amazing deal on this on Ebay. Less than $35 for 1 oz and it was impossible to find anywhere else. All the other "Girls" are amongst some of my favorites from my 200+ bottle collection but I am still on the fence with this flanker. i still need to try it out but so far it's just ok..very sweet and almondy but there's something not quite clicking to a love. Smells slightly aftershavey..will update after giving it more time..

First of all, the bottle is stunning, the colour combination of the juice and the petals is just 🙌. It has a very nutty (the almond is detectable) and herbal opening. It almost reminds me of a coctail or maybe a perfumed beer (should such thing ever existed!). Then I get Kenzo's "World Power" vibes with salty and ambroxany Tonka. When it settles on skin it's a sweet floral scent, a mix of frangipani and vanilla mainly. To sum up, it's a very nice , modern and feminine fragrance that I don't think could be worn on a very hot day for it is quite sweet, but on cooler days and of course summer nights would be great!

karinatfragrantica

Interesting opening but then it immediately becomes very similar to the original. Maybe the tonka note is a tad stronger in this one. Definitely not worth getting if you already have the original. For my personal taste it is way too sweet, as are the original and all the other flankers. I keep going back testing it only because I cannot resist the cute bottle. It is adorable!

Liene

So far the most similar flanker to the original, just made also summer appropriate (I would prefer it in spring, though).

Very dense opening of the original is made lighter and more alive with green and herbal notes and bigger dose of pear. Still the almond and the tonka bean plays strong, just are mixed with an aromatic rosemary and currant buds in the opening. Feels calmer, more modest in a way. Drydown is brighter than in the original, however in both I mostly get orange blossom upgraded in a fuzzy bittersweet coating of tonka bean and cozy almond.

I rarely like flankers, as they often lack originality and surprise factor, but Girl of Now Lovely is a strong like. Herb garden impressions (not giving up exciting traits of the original Girl of Now) is winning. Lovely indeed.

squishfish

I tried this today in store and my first impression was that it is very very sweet. I own GON Shine, which is even sweeter and a little heavy on the pineapple so I must say I do prefer Lovely over Shine. I can't pick up the mint personally, but it does have a greenness. I personally think the original the best version. Overall, I think the whole GON is too sickly for my preference but can still be nice is not over sprayed.

I collect this line, so I was eager to try it. Especially because of the herbs in in the topnotes. Initially it was a mix between GON Forever in the opening and the OG in the drydown. However now I've been wearing it a few times it is a true sparkly spicy more perfumey sister of the OG. If you pay attention you get the herbs for a fresher feel compared to the milky warm original.
Do not try them side by side, it makes this one smell like gasoline (to my nose) or at least try this one before the others.

DivineTonka

Was so excited to try this but have no idea why they have decided to go in this direction. To my nose this doesn't smell anything like the original GON. This is a sharp, green and aromatic floral scent with a slight sweetness. The initial opening is beautiful and you can definitely pick up the almond but it is fleeting and disappears quickly after a few seconds (literally). The drydown is just a weird scent cloud of mint, foliage, florals and maybe a hint of pear. But soon enough the drydown starts to overwhelmingly give wafts of toothpaste/medicinal cupboard vibes. There's also a pungent note that sticks throughout, similar to the civet note in LDBS but without the marshmallow/caramel to cushion out the pungency (or here a lack of almond). So clearly there's a mismatch of notes, or my skin chemistry is just not vibing with this one at all. There is no lingering almond/tonka to round off the pungency in this so if you are an almond/GON lover and wanted a fresher version for S/S would be mindful that the gourmand caramelised almond goodness from the OG is totally not present in this one.

It bothers many of us that many comment and analyse non yet released fragrances.

If you mention this here, in comments, you will almost always get "words" that they do know people (connections) and that yes, they have tried them all...

Whether to believe every one of them is a choice to do, personally, I do not believe that every one who says here on Fragrantica to have connections to smell all the non yet released fragrances do have them, but it is my own opinion.

........................................................................

As far as Girl Of Now Lovely goes, I can not stand the smell of mint on my skin, and it says it has mint, so I'll have to pass on this one.

Beckers333

Oh boy, I can't wait to get my hands and 👃 on this one, definitely going in the collection 🌸 after more thought, I'm not sure I want to smell like mint. I was so sure I wanted it I was going to blind ask for it for my Bday in April. After finally reading a review ... it may just be a pass. To bad, Girl of Now is so pretty 💜

cupcake28

They keep going in the wrong direction. We want pistachio ice cream !

Perfume_madness

Who is the perfumer? I'm an Elie Saab girl so I'm getting this for sure. Very intrigued by the notes.

Thegrimmreaderr

Definitely interested in this one as the others have not worked for me and yes, I've tried them all. But seriously guys....stop voting in fragrances that haven't been released yet. 🙄😏

FrkFors

Yesterday I was thinking about how I wish more herbs and spices were used in women's perfumes, and the first thing I read about coming on here today is this! I'm excited to try this!
