Iris Rose E. Coudray for women
Perfume rating 4.00 out of 5 with 251 votes
Iris Rose by E. Coudray is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Iris Rose was launched in 2012. Top notes are Iris, Rose and Violet Leaf; middle notes are Orris Root and Heliotrope; base notes are Musk, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Woodsy Notes, Patchouli and Labdanum.
The new fragrance by French perfumery E. Coudray, Iris Rose, is a powdery floral fragrance that combines the two most classic and most elegant of flowers. It is delicate like a cloud of powder and caresses as sensual cream.
The fragrance opens with accords of violet leaf, Bulgarian rose and iris absolute. Bulgarian rose absolute, heliotrope and iris butter are at the heart of the composition, warmed by the base of light woods, tonka bean, musk, vanilla, patchouli and labdanum.
The fragrance is available as 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

La déception totale ! Trop musqué & pas assez poudré... Rien à voir avec le mythique et légendaire Ombre Rose pour lequel je me damnerais !! Le musc prend toute la pyramide olfactive.... Trop !!! Allez chez le Bon coin .... Adieu !!

This one is super dry, (the orris root dominance) super powdery and smooth. Though not my personal style, I can appreciate it for what it is.I got it as an extra in my Jovoy sample bundle, this line of fragrance seems to be in every niche boutique, despite the low price tag so the noses have flagged it up as quality it seems. Very harmonious, quality blends, this one will appeal to anyone who loves the make-up bag, lipstick on feel but doesn't want a powder bomb on themselves all day long, just for a few hours. I also love these bottles, heavy and beautiful, would look nice on the vanity.

i wish this was a perfume because it is marvelous, it is like a lipstick...so beautiful, but it's not long lasting....

The opening is pure Elnette hairspray, but get past that and you have a delicate, non-sweet, powdery chypre. I don't get rose at all, I'm afraid, but the iris is dry and strong enough to hold its own against the base note of violet.

Soft and inoffensive, balmy and slightly powdery iris/rose combo.
In the opening I get a lipstick note which must be caused by the iris. Just like most people I also get this note in Dior Homme Intense. It must be the iris.
If you like these kind of make-up/lipstick vibes in perfumes then definitely check this one out.
Sillage is soft, moderate longevity.

Lots of powder with a little bit of rose. High quality, as all the Coudrays are. I don't find it similar to Ambre et Vanille.

İ recently bought this immediately when i see the name, as rose and iris are my two fave notes. İ am glad that i did, it took its place at my top 5 list right away. It is a soft delicate very feminen floral powdery scent, like you are wrapped around by a soft pink cloud and flying over the rainbow. Opens with a dominant rose (not overpowering), having the existance of iris at the background. Inıtial floral notes evolve into a soft powdery phase with some musk which gives the fragrance a classy clean feeling. Powder is not like the baby powder as in Teint de Neige. No big sillage but it is okey, longevity is like 4-5 hours. Definitely a keeper for rose lovers..
