This smells exactly like a freshly baked pack of boxed brownies. It smells so edible and delicious but is sooo weak. I like to layer it with Eilish no. 1 because it fades so quickly but the chocolate notes mix well together.

chillsunrise

very realistic, smells like chocolate cake lol. i can detect some coffee as well. after a while a nutty note pops out (very similar to the one you get in Angel Food's dry down but without the vanilla), which then transitions to a clear powdered sugar scent. comforting and delicious

This smells a lot like hot chocolate powder mixed with chocolate milk. It’s nice, very chocolate heavy but not sweet to where it is cloying.

Just threw it in the trash. Along with two others of this brand out of four total. I would never buy anything like this again!
This is not a cologne, not an aroma, not a scent.
This was something disgusting, something between strong alcohol and dirt, mud and rotting food.
And it is strong, which is the worst part.

Splashyminion

Doesn't smell like chocolate brownies. It's super dirty, disgusting, and sort of like something wet and sour. What a shame because I generally love Demeter. I had to throw this one out.

Alright so... this is a fudgy brownie. Not the crispy on the outside soft and chewy on the inside type. Just the chewy type. I’m happy I have it but I do wish it was more deep. I just wish it was a bit more crackly on top yk? If anything it smells like a slightly undercooked brownie or just brownie batter. I GOT IT! It smells like those scratch and sniff cards you would give someone for Valentine’s Day! I could imagine wearing this late October through winter. And that one time on Valentine’s Day for the heck of it. One thing that reigns true.. it’s very sweet! If you spray this on a fuzzy sweater it is really nice actually and you get whiffs of it throughout the day.

Edit: This is basically the perfume version of palmers skin therapy oil. Its stronger and heavy on the cocoa. Also when it warms up on the skin its much better. It needs body heat to work its full potential. Very nice!

Last edit: I walked into my living room and my two little brothers asked me what I was baking so... I guess it does the job🤣🤣 very similar to choco musk from al rehab but this is more wet chocolate and choco musk is more dry cereal. Both are good!

Got this in the mail today. The smell was very synthetic and reminded me more of coffee than brownies, my brother agreed. If you like sickly sweet smells you'll love this but I prefer more natural smells.

I have the roll on oil. It smells like rich brownies, and subsequently makes me incredibly hungry. It's a good scent to have for a time like now, where we need to feel cozy rather than trapped in our houses.

The sillage is poor, and so is longevity, especially for the price. However, if you don't have ingredients to make brownies right now, but you're craving them, this is good to sniff.

This smells like a Tootsie Roll . Lol. The chocolate part is short lived. It starts out very strong but softens and almost disappears a short while after. Smells really good if it's layered with BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar.

I'm going to update my previous review and say that I have grown to dislike the scent of this perfume to the point I have thrown it away. I wouldn't have tossed it away and tried to sell it if it wasn't for the fact I mixed it with patchouli- it smells like a really bad quality chocolate syrup.

Deco

Smells good, but it's too sickeningly sweet for me. I wanted a pure chocolate fragrance, and found Demeter's Dark Chocolate to be a better fit than Brownie.

I think you guys are too vivid with how you smell this cologne. For me it smells very much like chocolate sauce comparable to Hershey's. That's pretty much it for me.

Don't get me wrong, that smells playful and simple- but i was expecting something more bittersweet and powdery like a genuine brownie.

It also does not last on the skin much whatsoever. It fades away pretty fast sadly.

I do not dislike the smell but I do not like it enough to say it is worth having unless you use it to layer with anything else because as its stand alone scent it is too weak to use on it's own.

I am using the splash it on variant of this cologne, not sure if it is any better as a spray or roll-on.

This scent is so realistic that when I was teaching preschool I had to stop wearing it because the kids kept running up and licking my arm when I wasn't looking!

Coming from a pastry chef, this definitely smells like brownies, and not chocolate. Brownies smell like sweet cocoa with a bit of vanilla. Chocolate would smell a bit 'darker' and have a slight bitterness, like coffee.

PricklyAndHot

Smells almost like Devil's Food. As I have the last one, I don't need this one.

Demeter nails it on this one. It truly smells like a baked brownie.

Starts off baked chocolate/dry cocoa powdery and as it wears the chocolate becomes a more chocolate-y with a bit of vanilla. I never lose the baked brownie note in it.

lasts about 6-7 hours.

Demeter Dark Chocolate is more like dipping your arms in melted chocolate where as this is more definitely a baked brownie and chocolate --just not as strong.

Great scent!

małgorzata.kupiec

I haven't noticed much chocolate in it. Unfortunetely. Just a spoonful of dry cocoa powder in a sea of burned caramel. It's not an unplesant smell, but a bit dissapointing, when were thinking about brownie.

Starlight_Angel

Demeter Fragrances generally capture the essence of the scent they are trying to portray, and Brownie is no exception to that.

It's the scent of a rich, decadent chocolate fudge brownie, just out of the oven. This is a positively sinful gourmand.

It's linear but mouthwateringly appetizing. Brownie is incredibly sweet, so I find that wearing it on those cold winter days does it justice in the best way.

Unfortunately, as with many Demeters, this fragrance is incredibly fleeting, On my skin I get an hour tops, and approximately double that if I spray on clothes.

It's a shame that the longevity is so poor because while it lasts, it's truly delicious.

However, the upside is that they are so cheap to buy that even constant reapplication won't put a dent in your wallet.

The other great thing is, as with all the Demeters, they are perfect for layering.

So on the days when you crave the chance to be able to smell like your favorite desset you can layer Brownie with one of the other gourmands in the range (like Vanilla Ice Cream or Caramel).

They also double up as great room sprays for the kitchen when you're having guests over and want to create that "just baked" aroma to add to the homely ambience.

Habanita

While the Demeter scents I had really smell like they should (e.g. Brownie smells very yummy like a Brownie should :-)), they all gave me headaches . I really liked them, especially the gourmand ones, but there was no help - I had to give them away. They were not very long lasting but weren't expensive either.

darkbeauty

You get a boozy alcohol at first spray, then it settle down into a sugar rush of chocolate. It's yummy! But it does have plastic like vibe to it. Can't figure out why. It doesn't bother me enough not to wear it. It just confuses me. I will give this to my neice for Christmas... she loves brownies.

If you want 100% chocolate... I'd go for the Hershey's Special Dark. It smells like someone spilled chocolate sauce all over you! Delish!

I love chocolate, don't get me wrong. I can easily devour a whole chocolate block in one sitting. I love anything chocolate; chocolate cake, chocolate biscuits, chocolate slices. But this fragrance Brownie is that feeling of eating too much chocolate even when you first spray it on.

There's too much sugar and not enough chocolate. I found Aquolina's Chocolovers delicious, but this fragrance just makes me sick.

It has a strange metallic note which is rather off-putting. I can't say that I'm particularly impressed. Here in Australia we do have brownies, however it's an American food and name, we probably just call them chocolate slices here. I wasn't brought up with them.

The chocolatey goodness is there in a quirky and foody fashion, however it doesn't deliver that mouth-watering sensation. It does the opposite of making me want to rush out and buy chocolate.
