Coach for Men effortlessly captures the scent of “fresh out of the shower”. This fragrance opens with a burst of citrus—bright notes of kumquat, bergamot, and grapefruit with a suede undertone. It is balanced and wearable in any setting. Like others have said, it struggles with longevity so it may require reapplication throughout the day to remain prominent.

Benzzz

Have this about 5 years old, scent and color of the fragrance has changed drastically, really different than the fresh ones from the stores. But I still, personally liked it, somehow it boosted the longevity and projection? Idk but spraying it 3 times is already powerful enough to fill an entire room

Dumbplings

Coach for men, a fragrance that woman love more than men do. So this is the ultimate compliment magnet...however this is one of the weakest fragrances ever made. To get compliments someone must smell it within the first hour of it being applied before the smell is gone.

You think you can overspray it to make up for the performance? Wrong, think again you can't overspray this and the performance doesn't get better with more sprays it's still weak.

It's a nice scent, but textbook definition of generic and boring, but that doesn't mean it's bad it actually does smell pretty good.

I owned a bottle of this, got me so many compliments. I carried around a travel spray of it in my pocket and kept spraying it on all throughout the day. Eventually I sold my bottle though since the performance just wasn't cutting it and I moved onto the better fragrances. It's been a while since I sold it and sampled it again recently and made me want to buy a bottle again.

If you want performance, this is one of the worst performing. It has no longevity.
If you want safe, this is the ultimate safe fragrance that everyone will like
If you want unique or something not boring, this isn't unique it's basic.
If you want compliments, buy this and never leave the house without a bottle with you and keep spraying it all day

PRADALHOMMEINTENSEGOAT

this boy better than the overrated trio: bdc edt, sauvage edt and aventus.

jaydewylde

Purchased a 30ml bottle for my man as a blind buy, I had read comments saying it was a 'safe' blind buy.

Oh, man. This is MORE than a safe buy. This is the most attractive thing to smell on a man, ever. Period.

So fresh and sexy, with just a hint of sweetness that makes you want to lean in closer for a deep sniff. I mostly smell citrus and suede, such a delicious and under rated combo.

Ladies, don't buy this for your man if you're insecure. He WILL be complimented and approached.

solsisod

Smells great. Extremely easy to wear and safest of the safe blind buys. Can’t go wrong with this one , might also get a few compliments.

Issler

Smells amazing, the ladies i know love it and they are driven crazy by this and smells like a man straight out the shower.

TeenjoseHonestReview

This Cologne smells really good but the downside of this cologne is that once you put it on it only last for 30min-1 hour. It smells good but it doesn’t last long so If I were you I’d have a small refillable bottle with me at all times because it doesn’t last long.

patqb

It's ok, a fresh clean citrusy scent with a heavy pear note but the performance is pretty bad last around 5 hours on my skin with 5 sprays and with moderate sillage. It is cheap tho

buzzfragerance

From a distance smelling this is smells so nice but the closer you get to the smell the stronger and more intense it smells not in a good way. Don't get me wrong this fragrance got me into fragrance collecting that's why I kind of like it the top note is a very Peary smell. The bottle is very clean but i do not like the bit of plastic on top of the bottle and under the sprayer. I think its worth it for a first fragerance.

BalkanFragranceLover

Smells like cheap, synthetic hand soap, the kind you would find in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant.
Not worth 2$ imho..

tonnu

My teacher hating on it like crazy, she is saying that its stinks and that she got a migrane for 2 days🥲😢(i love it) edit: my mom doesnt like it too ):

Dougy_fresh

very clean and simple scent. Amazing value for what it is. Slightly too soapy in my opinion though.

Lando1976

This juice smells much more expensive than its price point. On my skin, it lasts quite a long time and is very pleasant. Be careful not to over spray or spray on clothing as it can be a bit headache inducing.

schnoorzoky

Very easy to wear, somewhat generic fragrance. Good value for money. Might be headache-inducing if oversprayed but quite nice in moderation. Maybe a bit too dark for office wear imo?

Wife rating: 9

rozzox

Its alright

Kuquii1974

Nah. Lots of good reviews here but I tried a tester and find it pretty generic. Been on an hour and I find it quite offensive. Reminds me of Dior homme sport and prada Luna rossa black which I both hate. Everyone's different however, can't help thinking many reviews on fragrantica are by people involved in selling all this stuff!

AV8T0R

One of the best summer cologne I have ever have! It’s fresh, citrusy, sweet, aquatic and very masculine scent. It’s not too heavy not too light either. Projection is pretty good on early sprays and fades quickly. That’s the downside. Can be compared to sauvage but not close enough. Highly suggest for fresh scent intosiast!

vishyav665

My man started wearing this recently and while the scent itself is fine but I think it's too overpowering even with just 3 sprays. It's masculine, peppery a bit lavender-y and lingers.

Chabla

It's like a spicy ysl y super masculine and mad good 10/10

JonnyBadass

It is similar to jimmy choo man, but this is a tad more youthful and fruity, at least in the opening. Women seem to really like it, as I’ve received a few compliments wearing this. I use this as a work/gym scent, and I work at a restaurant wear I can’t wear anything beast mode so this is perfect for that. It doesn’t last more than a few hours though, so I keep it in my backpack as a refresher scent. It’s a fresh and woody scent with a bit of an oceanic ambroxan and has a nice fruitiness without being sweet. A good cheapie for casual situations or romantic close encounters.

KelvinTorres89

Easy to wear scent. It was one of my first scents and still in rotation in my collections. its fresh, citrus, aromatic. Kind of reminds me of Ralphsclub

jdvice

This is a really good scent, would have no problems recommending this to someone who is just starting out. Can find it at a great price at discounters.

dmoloce77

Fresh and soapy out-the-shower scent. Very safe and versatile enough to wear at home, school, work, events. Great fragrance for gym-goers too.

Niikkaa

This is a compliment puller for sure, If your planning to buy it I would suggest buy it for school, definitely a good fragrance. 9.2/10

TheRefinedGentleman

This scent is superior...

I liked Coach when I bought it and grown to love it, its an easy dumb reach that is crowd appealing. This scent isn't boring at all and is a great dark and fresh soapy fragrance. And even for the price you are getting a quality fragrance and quality bottle. If only the performance and projection didn't suck I would give this a 10/10. This fragrance is better than Jimmy choo and better than bdc and factoring everything in, this is a perfect bang for your buck fragrance.

9/10

Flo992

Coach for men is same scent as BOSS THE SCENT, but it is cheaper and better

khungpao

Another versatile you-can't-go-wrong-with-this fragrance, smells really good. I like Versace Dylan Blue (which I prefer more) and they smell similar to me, except that this perfume has more green which is quite distinct and noticeable. Got it at a quite cheap price and I think the bottle looks great. Performance wise, I think it's average, better sprayed on clothes as it stayed longer when I tried it. Personally, I also love this fragrance and would definitely recommend it.

Freshnclean

This is such an underrated scent. If you like blue/green freshies you can’t go wrong with this. It’s familiar - like shower gel but elevated - then again I can’t think of a single cologne that smells exactly like. I think it’s the pear that sets it apart. I’ve gotten more compliments from this than from any of my expensive fragrances.

When I tried it out at Macy’s the sales girl made sure I tried the black bottle before the blue, green, or silver. She was right, this is the best one. If I was to find one fault it lacks that highly refined, expensive vibe of many high end designer and niche fragrances. If they somehow fixed that it would be my favorite fragrance

daclevan

It’s nice. It’s like a less peach- scented/less creamy version of Allure Homme. Also feels like a fruitier/more fun version of Versace Dylan Blue.

Nice slightly woody, fresh, clean scent. A good bit of sweetness. This is, in my opinion, falls into the line of scents that literally smells almost exactly like shower gel. Decent— not great— performance. You can probably wear this anywhere, anytime with no issues. It doesn’t have much wow factor, but it’s relatively affordable and should smell nice to most people.

7.3/10. Solid and reliable, I could see this being a signature scent for someone easily. Hate the twisty atomizer— always feels like it’s going to break on me for some reason.

Jbreezo823

everyday scent good for work school very versatile smell bleu de Chanel edp sauvage edt and Versace pour homme Dylan blue type of smell smooth clean smell mass appealing longevity is horrible though 4 hours and it’s gone…7/10

OAKESKINEN

I really like it. Smells like a young playfull bisnesman. I get 7 hours of longevity on skin and a moderate projection. Definetly a bottle worthy cheapie. Don't overspray!

hayggel

This cologne is nice for what it is, at first it kind of smells almost like an axe body spray but after a little while you get hit with the base smells and it truly smells great. Very sweet smell yet does not last as much as I would like but that is the case for most colognes for all of us. I would highly recommend this cologne in the fall.

coonhound

First Pass - I like this. Sweet apple with some mulling spices hiding underneath. Like a warm apple cider. Maybe the faintest hint of woods. Very fruity, very sweet, and rounded out with baking spice

Looking at the pyramid, mostly in line. Coriander and cardamom come through. Fruits listed as pear, kumquat, bergamot and grapefruit. Lavender is also listed. None of them stand out as individual contributors to me. Everything combined into a very sweet, hearty, mulled apple cider

1 Hour Later - What happened? The spices have evaporated. The sweet apple has soured. Not quite into vinegar but acerbic, maybe lemon or lime. To me this smells distinctly like Old Spice Pure Sport

From the pyramid, I'm finally getting the sharp citrus of the grapefruit. I guess the amberwood and vetiver combine with it to produce the Pure Sport vibe that I smell. I can't find suede or ambergris anywhere

Overall - Not my style but I can see a lot of people liking this. Every whiff as I wore this was a wave of Pure Sport nostalgia

***Scents, like tastes, are subjective. Wear what you like***

Vegemight

Just use it today for work straight from the box. Easily recognisable fruity citrus top note. However, I felt that the scent was weak, and just fainted like a 5$ cologne and soon after gone after 30 minutes (the hell). Disappointed, even after applying 12 more sprays (skin and clothing), the scent faded by the time I reach the office (I was inside the car for nearly 45 minutes).

pilotdc

Some wears I like it, other wears I don't like it. In either case, I might be going anosmic, but I can't smell it after 3 hours.

NecessaryExistence

This is a very affordable everyday scent. Yet I would choose it over comparable scents like Versace Dylan Blue, Luna Rossa Carbon, Explorer and Sauvage. Definitely flies under the radar, but smells very masculine, balanced, and refreshing. I don’t agree with people who say longevity and sillage is weak. Longevity on me is at least 5-6 hours and sillage (with 5 sprays) is at moderate if not better.

ts_likes_colognes

Cool citrus and warm ambergris come together to form one of the most versatile scents I’ve ever smelled. This can go with a t-shirt or a suit. It can be worn during any season. While it works best for men ages 25-34, it can worn by any age. It’s a safe blind buy, and an especially safe dumb reach. Its performance is lacking (3 foot projection for 3.5 hours), but it can be found at a discount price that is actually a great deal.

ScentedRoyalty

I remember the sweetness to this fragrance it was really delicious yes it was synthetic maybe redundant to other fragrances. Unfortunately the scents did not last long on skin or really on anything but it is you can get it for under 40$ this is a steal also a safe blind buy

MrSpills

This was my first fragrance that I received as a Christmas gift and ultimately kick started my fragrance hobby.

Truthfully not awful for a beginner fragrance. It's great for running a quick errand or going to the gym.
It's fresh, mass appealing, and safe for most seasons and weather. For the price you really can't go wrong if it's what you're looking for.

otteromkram

Coach for Men could be the most undervalued fragrance in the market today.

Someone else recently said this smells like a, "men's clothing store at the mall" and that seems pretty accurate. But, that doesn't do it quite enough justice because the composition is well-blended and punches well above it's weight.

To be sure, this is 100% a safe play. But, when you don't know what else to wear or just want to feel great, then Coach for Men is what you need. Very masculine, with an almost Prada-like scent bubble, that never disappoints.

Unique, but familiar.

Provincial, yet metropolitan.

Youthful, yet established.

Your favorite perfume's favorite perfume.

Kennet123$

Smells like a generic $10 cologne, only citrus. doesn't last long or project either, 2/10.

SwampSaddle

The inclusion of pear at the top is a nice touch. The dry down then turns aromatic and sharply green and spicy. It's what you would typically smell in a men's clothing store at the mall.

nukeskoi

good scent but the performance is just not that good

jschmidty89

A clean, mass appealing, citrusy fragrance.
Great for the office and warmer days.
Safe blind buy.

nirvblakr

Others would say this is Coach Black. Do not be deceived by the color black being mysterious and dark. This is a freshie. Safe for a blind buy. On testing this is right on fragrantly good. This is it! Opening comes in fresh citrus sweet fruity like coming from the shower. This scent is linear with a bit powdery dry down but it retains the fresh citrus scent. You wouldn't mind overspraying this as the smell is pleasing. Longevity though might be disappointing at 3-4 hours for me but respray is the key. Projection on initial spray would be very good. Attention grabber. Very good for daily wear. Even our guard complimented me on how good I smelled. Does that count?

zodiacx

On initial first spray I was immediately reminded of Versace Dylan Blue, there is definitely some similarities going on here. It's fruity, fresh and masculine, there is some underlying amber note which gives the fragrance some denseness. It's a typical blue fragrance which is very mass appealing and would suit all ages. My only gripe with the fragrance is the performance, I'm getting about 3-5 hours longevity and maybe 1-2 hours of moderate projection and then it sits very closely to the skin.

lxaxtxi

Suede, aromatics, and a little unusual fruity sweetness.
That’s what I pick up, all very synthetic.

but tester strip boy here as usual so very sad :(

Glokid

When you first spray it smells amazing once it settles on your skin it smells unbelievably strong to the point where I can’t wait for it to die down so I don’t have to smell it again. I’d only recommend if you like strong cologne or if you feel you can pull this off.. the amber wood in this is offensive and overpowers everything.

TBonetheFella

Clean, smooth, and citrus-y shower gel.

Just smelled this while at ulta, and it smells like the majority of other mainstream cheaper designer frags. Not that it’s a bad a thing by any means to smell like that, it’s basic because it works. It opens up with a nice and smooth subtle sweet citrus with a heavy undercurrent of suede which I love that almost makes it . Then as it dries down it becomes more aromatic with the geranium being the most prominent. Then it dries down to a super smooth ending with a well blended mix between ambergris, suede, and Vetiver.

This is a definitely more traditionally masculine but I can see a woman pulling this off as it’s just very smooth and nice. This is a good daytime scent and it’s SUPER affordable.

Haven't smell Joop Jump for a long time now,but this one reminds me of it from middle to end notes, i feel like i am wearing joop. That's why i would say,way to expensive for what it is and extremley overhyped. Joop being way stronger and lasting a lot more, well at least back then, i would buy jump only to see why this one reminds me of it the whole time it lasts, maybe is just a faint similarity that remaind in my mind, or maybe it really is a lighter copy paste version, with a twist.

2020 batch

Profile - Mix of sweet citruses with a smooth drydown

Description - One of the best value all year round fragrance. I had purchased a 40ml and used it as my travel fragrance. The scent gets all the jobs done. I'd say its a perfect " jack of all trades but master of none" fragrance. I thoroughly enjoyed my time wearing this but it hasn't gripped me enough to make a repurchase. Opens with mixed citruses and maintains that profile for the longest. I didn't find any spice or dominant floral in this. Its like ot has top notes and then the drydown, nothing particular in the middle.

Usage & longevity - All year. I'd gotten 4-5 hours on my skin and doesn't last considerably longer on fabric. 5-6 sprays is my go to for this, over spraying doesn't necessarily choke anyone around you.

Suited for - People who wants to get multiple jobs done but dont want to shell out much. All ages can rock this and suits most occasions. A definite safe blind buy.

Reminds me of - Jimmy choo man ( and intense). They're quite identical but coach I believe is less expensive. Nothing particularly unique about this, shares similar DNA with quite a few on the market.

Rating - 7.5/10. Doesn't make we want to repurchase.

razorsedge

Good blind buy.

This is a clean, fresh as in fresh sheets, musky fragrance with a hint of fruit on top. Very easy to wear, good versatility, great for summer if you want something different to aquatic or citrus. To my surprise a real compliment puller too.

Last about 4 hours and projects for about half as much, mixes great with hot summer weather. At this price a steal.

ScentNSent

This is the very first fragrance that started my dive into fragrance collecting.

NO it is not a super unique fragrance and NO it is not super “long lasting” (just overspray)

BUT

It is such an easy wear. When I bought this it was not what I expected, it’s pretty fresh and super mass appealing, you will not offend anybody. But it is a bit sweeter than I expected in the opening. Dry down is amazing.

If you are looking for an everyday great fragrance that may pull you compliments, this is it for you. I cannot recommend this enough especially for the price. People may hate but this is signature scent worthy, and for the price you cannot literally go wrong, a dumb reach; spring, summer and even fall worthy fragrance. Do not hesitate to buy if you are looking for a dumb reach warm weather fragrance.

Erodeox

Coach for Men is the type of perfume you would come across when visiting Sephora or Coach stores, where you can confidently apply it and enjoy the scent without any concern about disliking it or causing disturbances to others. This fragrance is known for its safety and versatility, making it suitable for various occasions and settings. With its refreshing and immersive qualities, Coach for Men offers a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Scarryharry

This cologne has grown on me, it used to be my least favorite of the ones I own (I never thought it was bad though). Now I use it the most.

jjjooonnn

Gifted by a girlfriend.
Great safe scent.

Would buy again, but so many other scents push this low on the buy list.

Michael_Noir

I love it, super versatile and easy to wear, my only complaint is the longevity, other than that it is perfect to me.
9.7/10

Filosykos

Hands down the best aquatic blue style fragrance out there. Performance is "acceptable".

Rockavon

Great unique blue scent with terrible projection. The lack of performance drops it from a 9 to a 6.5.

Freakmoney

A fresh and inoffensive scent that I find great for summer without being a boring aquatic scent like many other traditional summer scents. Plenty sophisticated for someone in their 20s such as myself. One of my favorites.

Biglou88

Ignore the troll below saying he sprayed a ton and it disappeared very quickly. This will last bare minimum 3 hours on a bad day. This is a very easy to like scent and 100% blind buy worthy

SenselessReviews

This is not the sort of coach I am used to! Instead of benching me until I succumb to his wrinklebag antics, this "Coach" puts me in the game with LeBron, Durant and the Korean guy who makes the ball "vanish" inside of his anus.

After the experimental Peter Dinklage fragrance "Good Things Come In..." was discontinued in 2015, I grovelled like an alternate-universe Will Smith who sat there and kept laughing. Little did I know that a clone in the form of "Coach" would soon arrive!

"Coach" makes my nostrils stand at attention like Jon Cryer wandering through an NFL communal shower. The suede makes mincemeat of my olfactory cortex like Vin Diesel ripping apart a pancake made of silly putty. The drydown uplifts me like a "You're not the father!" from my boy Maury.

Listen to the "Coach" and get in the game!

Colossalscent

This is a safe, youthful and versatile fragrance, avoid this is you are searching for heavy or masculine stuff. I personally love how this smells, it's basically a musky scent with a fresh fruity undertone, extremely likeable for everyone. I don't have anything in my collection that smells like this so i'm extremely satisfied about the purchase. The only downside are the performances, this is a 4 hours fragrance even if you overspray like crazy unfortunately. Also, atomizer is trash :/.

8,5/10

ascended

The lavender is surprisingly very prominent here, a bit too much in fact. Makes it a pretty generic barbershop scent along the likes of Armaf Derby Club or Montblanc Legend.

sam smith99

If you're a young guy this is great versatile fruity cologne. but if you have more money this will smell slightly synthetic compared to niche.

smellmyfingers

Very masculine. Great for anything where you'll sweat. Gym, beach, their place or yours...

Not long lasting, definitely subtle. If I'm going somewhere warm and there's a breeze, this in rotation. This shined when I was out in the tropical sweat of Costa Rica.

Trying to choke out a room? Not going to happen. Don't be that guy anyway.

Better scents out there? Sure. But it's worth the price at a discounter if you grab a tester or 200ml.

doodluv

Had high hopes for this one.

Been craving a summer friendly, masculine, fruity fragrance for a while now and this seemed to tick all the boxes so I blind bought it.

Sadly, it's nothing special. Very safe, pleasant designer fragrance but nothing wow at all.
The fruit in the notes pyramid is what caught my eye with this, and although it is fruity, it's more an amalgamation of notes creating a fruity aroma within the scent, rather than a single high quality fruit note that 'pops'

Scent wise 6.5-7/10

Performance is laughable. Undetectable after 3 hours, and it projects sufficiently only for about 20-30 mins after spraying.
The atomizer is also very lackluster, and not just for the gimmick shape/twist mechanism, but functionally it's quite bad at spraying juice.

Erodeox

The spice scents in this perfume are done right, mild, addictive and soothing, perfect for hot and humid weather.

Cinnabunn

I absolutely love this fragrance. I dont wear this but my bf does and it's perfect.

HotdogLegend

This is my signature scent. With that out of the way, I wish this had a better performance. Coach is known for really solid scents, but also how weak their cologne is. If this lasted 6h I would be fine, but after the second hour, it feels like it's sillage is only intimate. Regardless, absolutely classic smell. Love it to death and back!

lzblz

To me it smells like Warm musky, Dylan blue, and bad boy cobalt all at once, but not too heavy. that’s Ofcourse an oversimplification but you get the idea. Fruity, fresh masculine and musky in a vanillic sort of way in the drydown, without being overtly synthetic smelling (I’m looking at you YSL Y.) 4 season versatility too.

If he likes sweet scents, this make an excellent blind buy gift for a sporty young man with good character is 20-40 age range. Can’t see anyone not liking this, and he will smell fantastic, so his girlfriend will thank you.

monsieur.moustache

The scent itself is unobjectionable, but the performance is incredibly poor.

It's almost as though the original scent was diluted and the resulting solution was diluted again and again...some type of homeopathic experiment gone haywire.

Perhaps if you drench yourself with this, you'll smell good for an hour or two.

EDIT: I did drench myself in this and the scent lasted all day.

6.3/10

Mark_Bel

Really nice citrus notes, with the pear being quite nice. It projects quite well for the first 30 min, maybe even to much, but then it really dies down after the 1st hour. It smooths out though, and becomes a much more intimate scent. Typically gone after 3-4 hours. Great every day casual scent.

SneezeNose

Easily signature scent worthy! It’s one of the top best seller for a reason.

Planing to get a 200ml once my bottle runs out. Spray as much as you want. I remember going to the mall testing a lot of fragrances and this was the only one that had the most appealing scent to me.

Beginner friendly and great for daily use. You will come across modern, fresh & clean.

scent profile is 10/10 (beautiful pear note) That’s all I care about. The bottle is easy to carry along to refresh during the day.
Performance: 6.5

Spray liberally & enjoy!

KevD86

Surprisingly good. Not hyping it by any means but it's a nice freshie. At its price it's a good add to your collection. Solid 7.5/10. Nothing special but good for casual wear, the gym, warm weather. You'll smell good and people will like it.

Shaq09

Although I loved the scent I recently sold my 200ml bottle. I noticed it would leave a weird smell on my clothes after a few hours so. I made the decision to get rid of it.

Felt like it was a good everyday scent, a bit sweet and fresh. Definitely more youthful I think as I noticed the couple of compliments I got wearing it were from younger women. Atomizer is also not that great I usually went with 5 sprays.

All in all would I buy it again? Maybe a sample size but I’m glad I got to experience this scent

jusknow

A colleague at work was doused in this and idk if he jus put it on or took a shower with it but this thing was BEAST MODE; I thought it was Sauvage at first. But he had the whole room smelling like this and got compliments from two women in the 5 minutes i was around him. It’s a nice blue scent that has a kinda mass-appealing fruity accord to my nose. Idk if it’s naturally this strong but I’m interested in pickin up if i can get it for cheap

crispysoap

It's like citrusy flowers. It's fresh and more unique than I thought it would be. Definitely has its own smell than none other. 7/10 not bad one bit, and it's special but not crazy good. I wouldn't buy again but I am definitely going to use it. My mom said I smell good

eimantaspuskorius

The smell is pretty boring, but it's not bad. The projection and longevity are bad.

K_Wood_22

I like how this fragrance smells early on. The opening and mid are fresh and sweet, while remaining masculine.
During these phases, the projection is decent (~ arms reach to 6ft) and there's a respectable scent trail.
Unfortunately, the longevity is pretty poor, with the fresh sweetness vanishing after an hour or two.
After that, it only smells astringent and woody and in my opinion, not pleasant.
The projection also drastically drops around the same time, which considering the change in smell, is a good thing.

I have relegated this fragrance to use while I exercise. Other than that, it doesn't get any time in my rotation.
I apply 6-8 sprays and it wears off right about the time that I get done.
Some day, once I finally empty my jumbo bottle, I won't be buying another.

Ang023

Got an amazing deal on a 200ml bottle and man was I surprised how good it was. Smells super pleasant really fresh clean and citrusy I love it

jaxxin

Ordered a sample of this based on a recommendation. Surprised how much I like it, so much so that I just ordered the 200ml / 6.7oz on eBay for $58.

Makes sense now that I see it’s by Anne Flipo. Master of exquisite women’s perfume in the French style, has used that perspective to create a few legendary masterpieces for men.

L’Homme and La Nuit? Two of my favorites, and I own both. Both with an elegant French perfume element that is balanced with masculine notes that are achingly delicious yet still delicate and refined.

Her fragrances for men are typically considered as primarily “created for women to love on a man,” or “as though women designed their perfect fragrance to smell on their man,” etc. Not masculine guns and sweat and metal, but French elegance that makes women swoon without crossing the line into girly perfume.

So I see the Coach for men as similar to La Nuit or L’Homme for a third of the price. Not saying they smell similar, but that their structure and effect is similar. Subtle, gentlemanly, unmistakably French. An elegant top of exquisite fruits and florals perfectly refined and balanced with sexy masculine notes. For YSL it’s more spices and woods. For Coach musky amber and suede. And in all of her men’s fragrances, a vetiver tying it all together among swirls of earthy spices such as cardamom and coriander.

I’ll update on my bottle purchase soon.

This is like a lighter Dylan Blue. I smelled this fragrance about a month or so before I smelled Dylan Blue for the first time. I loved it, but I hated Dylan Blue. It’s too strong/ deep of a smell for it to be fresh as well. It didn’t really make sense to my nose tbh. We all love freshies that last, but a regular spray of Dylan Blue smells like something doused in blue fresh EDT in a not so flattering way. Nonetheless, I was excited to get this one in. Again it’s a brighter take to Dylan Blue, and the longevity isn’t as bad as everyone makes it seem. I got around 5 hours off a single test spray (skin scent after 2 or 3) which isn’t bad for a freshy you can find for around 30-40 bucks at discounters with this quality. Ultimately, I say if you own this or Dylan Blue, do not get the other. I can also see how this is called the poor man’s Bleu de Chanel. Don’t let that deter you. I believe this is well worth the 30 if you’re looking for a non-unique crowd pleasing blue fragrance. If you’re just getting into fragrances like I am, this should be a fantastic starter that’s a good bang for your buck. I recommend testing it on skin along with Dylan blue at a Sephora first to see which one you prefer. Then buy it at a discounter or eBay.

BMOREGRITTY

Just a nice, light little fresh fragrance. Nothing too special, but very agreeable

Steve907

When I think of an all around good fragrance for a guy to wear for white collar jobs, this is it. I'm a blue collar guy myself, still enjoy wearing this, but really seems to me to be a nice office scent. I like it better in colder weather with two to three sprays. In warm weather, I'll only do two at the most. It's a good mix of the notes, nothing really stands out. It's a masculine scent with a floral/fruity front edge.

Torin

so fruity and fresh average longevity, decent price cant go wrong.

Rock76

Is is a very nice scent and smells extremely good. But the performance is one of the worst I’ve ever came across. Barely cross the 1 hour mark and it’s skin scent all the way. It’s not value for money cos each use is like 20 sprays to last half a day.

SgtButtCheeks

Absolutely delicious. Too bad you have to bathe in it for any longevity or projection at all.
Pro tip: put some in an atomizer and bring it with you to freshen up throughout the day.

lvcasantvcci

Maybe its just my bottle but I literally sprayed this 64 times on me before my friend could smell it from a foot away. Very disappointing because the smell is so good but the performance is so bad.

Achilleus

For some odd reason, I smelled pomegranates on my first spray, and it was sort of like a fusion of fruits and manliness, soft yet fierce. Very admirable, I was genuinely shocked at how good this was, a lot of people mention it reminding them of Sauvage, and it's only because of the lavender note, it's not really anything much like it besides that one note - (smelled them side-by-side). Very versatile spray for any situation day and night. Really safe buy, you will enjoy your purchase.

ViceCity

The big, big issue with this fragrance is its extremely weak longevity, which ultimately downgrades the performance. Within barely 2-3 hours you can only smell something weak and rather disgusting, the base notes are really not great.

That’s a shame because the opening and middle notes are so striking and sweet. Much better than Coach Platinum as far as I am concerned. If only the designers could have found a way to make that sweetness last longer… it’s a bold combination for a springtime fragrance, a decent cheapie if you need something to wear for just a few hours (but definitely not an entire day or half day).

Won’t be buying another, but satisfied with the one I have.

AugustReyv

Smells absolutely amazing. I just wish it lasted longer. This is probably my favorite blue fragrance, Followed by YSL Y EDP and Dylan Blue.

BearLee

this is a good fresh scent for the spring and summer. I would layer this with another long lasting fresh scent such as cedrat boise or maybe acqua D' gio profundo to get that BANG... The projection and lasting power on this isnt that great, which is why i would layer it.

iLikeExpensiveSmellyWater

Is it synthetic? Yes. Does it smell good? Yes. In spring and summer this is a causal, good smelling, everyday dumb reach that the people around you will enjoy. Performance could be better but in high heat this goes absolutely nuclear before it dies.

Barnawi.sultan

It’s all about what are you looking for …

This aromatic woody safe/versatile office fragrance.

Not last long in bad condition, but it works well in office or good condition (3-5) hours.

It’s great value for money, but if you are looking for something special ! This not for you.

Nothing wow and nothing wrong here.

6.5/10.

notgwyn

versatile fragrance and to my nose smells so good, especially that suede dry down. biggest downside is its weak ass performance. 2hr longevity AT MOST with around 10 minute projection smh

jarrid_steel

I will never understand why this doesn't get the hype that it deserves from Youtube reviewers. This is my favorite of all the "blue" scents available on the market. It smells absolutely incredible. Fruity, a bit spicy, fresh, woody and smooth. This is has a lot of great facets that are missing in some of the more popular "blues" on the market.
I own a lot of fragrances, both niche and designer and this fragrance is absolutely worthy of a place in anyone's collection. Some reviews below complain about performance but on my skin this projects well and lasts 12+ hours but even if it didn't, it's so inexpensive at discounters that you won't break the bank by respraying halfway through your day.

Scent : 8.5/10
Projection : 8/10
Sillage : 7.5/10
Longevity : 10/10.
Compliments : YES!
Overall : Amazing value for the price.

B frag

I always see Coach for men as the fragrance that shot itself in the foot, because I really like how it smells way more than Sauvage and Y, however, this fragrance lacks in the performance department, and thus has destroyed its chance to be as successful as them. It is generic, but it has to be because this is what it is trying to do, it a blue, mass appealing scent, but this is worth it because of how it utilizes the pear in the opening and the coriander in the mid. The pear gives this a delicious fruitiness in the opening, deviating a little bit from what we expect from a blue scent, however, the best part of this is the mid where the coriander really shines, giving the scent a really wonderful earthiness while still being inoffensive or overbearing. It is a perfect day to day, office friendly scent that you can rely on, however, be prepared to re-apply, and please get the 200ml if you are into this one, because you will probably kill the 100ml fast if you are using it repeatedly and/or do not have so many fragrances. This is a work/school scent that is almost impossible to offend or bother any one, and It has the potential to get you complements if that is what you are looking for.

jchoi.07

Anyone who might tell you that this is a citrus scent is lying. There is no citrus however, a juicy Asian shingo pear scent, which then dries to a smoky, woody scent.

I absolutely love this fragrance because of that, projection/longevity are both not great, but for the price this fragrance is an amazing fragrance.

It's soft, juicy, smoky in the drydown, it's a safe frag overall.

jeucemcgeuce

Extremely safe, clean, sweet, and mouth-watering fragrance. Not offensive at all, and many will enjoy the crisp sweetness.

It is powdery to me. Not suffocatingly sweet, but mild like a pear and crisp like citrus.

The thing about safe fragrances is that you don't wear them to scream for attention. This is a fantastic choice if you understand that and want something reliable.
It is more boyish and sophisticated to me than rough and masculine. I think it deserves more attention, not for its uniqueness but for its versatility. Use it for any occasion, I say.

9/10

Jarydf

Nice inexpensive understated versatile bleu fragrance that does that great thing of being fresh, clean and a bit sweet all at the same time without standing out in any specific way.

McG1993

This is a very nice, clean scent. Very peppy. It's not too over-powering and is perfect for both professional and casual wear. Call me crazy but there's somewhat of a "coolness" or invigorating sense that is brought about by certain notes. I suppose this could be attributed to the grapefruit and coriander but irregardless, it's a wonderful scent.

HammerDownRollIn

Overrated. This is like Dior Sauvage without the peppers. I don’t get the comparisons to Jimmy Choo Man. Jimmy Choo Man smells similar to Abercrombie Fierce.

All in all, this isn’t bad. It’s also not particularly good. It’s bland.

uk2587uk

I wasn’t expecting the “blue” scent I got from this. Not bad tho especially for the price. A safe dumb reach.

OTO

I liked the fresh and fruity smell of it. I tried it to my wrist and it didn't last too long and sillage wasn't too good either. I still liked the scent so I bought it as a deostick, I think it's the best option for fresh and mild scent like this, if you like to use deostick. I have not tried it much yet, but I think it's unlikely that someone finds this offensive, if you are not using much of it. It is sweet scent, so you can use it too much and ruin it for you, if you are not careful. That's the other reason I bought it as a deostick.

I am pretty sure women who doesn't wear much parfume will love this fragrance on man. Especially on a young man for whom more manly fragrances are not a good fit.

jbuzzz

I got this in a swap, not because I specifically wanted it, but instead to try something different than something I already had that I wasn’t wearing. I’ve got to say, this one smells awesome. I’ve smelled it before at stores in the mall, and I don’t know if it was just because of smelling a bunch of different things and getting nose fatigue or that I didn’t give it enough time or what.. but I now get why this would, or at least should be a mass appealing one.

This has an overall generic looking note breakdown listed that would put this in the category of a lot of boring frags out there, but it’s somehow different and really likable. It lasts a decent amount of time and the fruit/citrus/spice going on is really well balanced. I got this after diving into niches btw, and I’m not going to snob out.. I’m not afraid to say, this is a good example of a designer fragrance that is well made and I’d rock this any day of the week. Forget that burnt tire nasty niche you’ve got, for just today, and try this one out :)

*quick update, for sure a compliment getter.. great projection for a couple hours. Performance wise seems pretty good, I don't smell it on myself as much at the end of the day but think it's still there on clothes and less so on skin, but I over sprayed the hell out of it so should be around still. One thing also, unfortunately is a terrible atomizer.

Tre de Fill

The perfume does not smell bad, but at the same time it is absolutely impersonal - no character. Poor projection and longevity. Money given to the wind. Overall rating 6/10.

RogueZXRO

Smells nice and is a bit boring but if you want a versatile scent then is not a bad choice. Keep in mind performance is bad I'd say 2-3 hours.

puffinsauce

Pretty nice. I like it. Nothing super unique or special about it tbh. Definitely follows the blue fragrance DNA but a bit more fruity.

LMBelvi

Tried this at Ulta. It was an inviting, easy to wear scent. The fruit lavender and cardamom were primary on me. The first half hour is the most enjoyable so if I own it someday there’s going to be a lot of spritzing I think. I’m guessing most people would recognize this as intended to lean masculine but I think the scent itself is unisex.
My one confusion is about that bottle. It seems very dark and indicative of a winter scent. I think the juice is well suited for warm weather and daytime use. I agree with those who put this in a dumb reach category.

james4sk8

Don't let the note breakdown fool you. This is one of the most generic colognes I have ever smelled. Literally just another citrus/musky gym scent. Save your money.

gabemtb

It's a great fragrance to start with, it's fruity sweet and fresh, great for daily use all year except freezing cold but if you allready own fragrances like Cobalt, Rochas L'Homme and YSL Y this is pointless, it's in that style

OhMattGreen

My girlfriend bought me this fragrance for Valentine’s Day 2020 and I didn’t give it a proper wear until a about a year ago. I was sleeping on a decent everyday mens fragrance. Outgoing people will compliment you and the more reserved will definitely take note. This one is definitely a versatile take on a blue fragrance as it is appropriate in most circumstances. Scent trail is amazing but definitely calms down after about the 3rd hour or so. Sweet fruit and wood vibes.

marsfragrance

This fragrance is pretty versatile and inoffensive. It would probably be a good fragrance to wear in the office since it’s so light. You can find this fragrance pretty cheap as well, so having it as your signature Office scent isn’t a bad idea. Just know it’s not particularly special in any way.

undeadsasuke

Good dumb reach fragrance. It' pretty cheap, and it smells nice. The only downside is that it doesn't really last, at least on my skin. After 2-3 hours it starts to fade fast. Since it doesn't really last, I am currently using this one for daytime activities that last 2-3 max 4 hours, like a morning coffee with friends, grocery shopping or things like that. The scent would be awesome as an office fragrance if it would last longer (but of course, you can use it as an office fragrance, I am doing that sometimes). But nevertheless, great fragrance for it's price, it's a safe blind buy. If you want a casual fresh scent, for casual daytime activities that are not very time consuming, this is the fragrance to use.

zcadez

Very pleasant light scent. I’ve only gotten compliments from females while wearing this. They usually describe me as clean and delicious smelling. Projection is pretty subpar however and I go heavy on the sprays around 6-8.

bounce442

The more I wear it, the more I like it. At first, I found it nice but kind of boring but it's growing on me, a lot. It works for any time and situation. It reminds me of Jimmy Choo Man (also a nice scent but not exciting) but Coach is a bit more fruity and it's done so well. Like JC Man, it has terrible performance. If you spray it on thick, 8 sprays will get you noticed for 2-3 hours and then it becomes a skin scent.
Nice bottle, nice look, feels good in the hand but the atomizer is really bad. But it all comes down to the scent and the scent is aces.

CAF911

Best blue fragrance under $100

Performance isn’t amazing? It’s a $30 EDT, what did you expect. Just spray it again lol.

This stuff kicks butt.

fanzypants

This becomes more enjoyable the more you wear it. Bright sweet and sour fruits with pear and grapefruit really making this great for a fresh feeling before you go out. The suede and vetiver dry down is familiar and awesome and where we recognize trademark blends from the perfumers. This can be dressed up or down, and projects quite well on me for the first 4 hours.

This is definitely a familiar formula, and this makes me think of Bruno's Choo Man without the vanilla, and L'Homme Rochas without the herbs. Performance is in the middle between them with Choo being an instant skin scent. Overall I like Coach for Men at its discounted price. It's pretty good and signature worthy.

khalifays911

underrated .. such an amazing scent but unfortunately the performance is weak.

UL7RA

Inexcusably poor performance, to the point where the actual smell is irrelevant because it's gone by the time you're out of the door.

Farhat300

amazing scent but performance is weak.
a very nice fresh, peppery, aromatic, and woody scent
very versatile and great for everyday/office use (even formal)

Tacosalad

All the making of a great everyday scent except it dries down to a light skin scent then disappears quickly after. My wife says that her Coach perfumes are the same way. 100% worst performing cologne I have ever worn!! 3/10

colognefreak

Juicy, fruity, fresh opening that is an attention grabber and very nice dry down to the woody, spicy end while still maintaining a bit of the fruitiness.
It’s masculine and somewhat understated, but that’s a plus for everyday wear.
I would consider this a perfect Swiss-army all purpose fragrance that could be used for anything, depending on the person and your tastes
It’s best suited for the day and seems like a spring/ fall time juice.
The final dry down is a skin scent, but a very, very pleasing one. On the “Nuzzle Scale” it gets a 9.
You really can’t go wrong here it just smells good and is a safe blind buy.

If you have smelled CK one and Jimmy choo Man both and liked it? This will be good present for you. it's sweet and balanced smell between CK one opening notes and then dry down becomes sweet watermelon-ish smell like Jimmy choo man. fruity and floral I mean... it's great fragrance. nice for daily and for casual meeting for date in my opinion. it's nothing like powerhouse but it does job done by it own. no regret buying it! I wear it for workout and it's really refreshing for daily use.

Jasalinas88

Love this stuff! Fresh, fruity out of the shower! How can anyone not like this stuff. So inoffensive! Yes there are more complex scents than this.... but when your out doing errands, at the mall or office... I imagine this would be a go to!

elight_l

Similar to L’Homme Ideal Guerlain (floral) or, more like Allure Homme Sport (fruity/fresh). A cheaper substitute but not as long lasting or punchy.

Jonathanelsher3

The greatest way to attract attention is with a great crowd-pleaser like Coach for men, which has a great fresh scent. The beginning is simply stunning. Fruity with a strong pear scent. The fuel for the dry down is ambergris-ambroxan. A cheap, secure smell that is suitable for gifts and is available in blind purchases. good durability. Low to moderate projection, good silage. Ambergris creates a delightful smell with a high complement potential.

JWood07

incredibly versatile scent. is it weak? yeah, but these comments are exaggerating a bit. 4-5 hours which is pretty solid and it’s not ridiculous to respray considering this is a pretty inexpensive fragrance.

9/10, that pear note makes the opening a top 3 opening in my collection. would easily be a 10/10 if it lasted longer but still unique, versatile, and reasonably priced fragrance!

Tazahr

such a beautiful scent. any season any occasion.

not a Sauvaga clone, it is much smoother and more pleasant.

Fresh with the right amount of fruity sweetness and well blended ambroxan. Not bubblegumy type of ambroxan.

excellent value for money. Projection is just right and longevity is acceptable.

WhiteJr81

I totally get the reviews calling this "generic", in fact, this should come in a plain bottle, with a plain label that just reads, "Amazing smelling cologne for Men". Its fantastic. Nothing to write home about, but a FANTASTIC daily driver. Lavender, Pear, a hint of floral, slight wood on the drydown. Its outstanding. Performance is horrible though. I found mine pretty cheap, so I don't mind re applying throughout the day. Eager to try the platinum version. Atomizer kind of sucks, but overall presentation is pretty nice with the little "leather" COACH fob coming off the bottle. Great stuff. Again, nothing to write home about, most of the snobs here will probably dismiss this one, but if you are a newbie like myself, a solid pick up if you can find it for cheap at a discounter.

FloridaFragLover

Smelled this and immediately had to have it. Although it comes off generic it actually isn’t. It’s unique. This is a gorgeous fragrance. Performance is ok

yannakm

Great scent, abysmal performance. I don't mind 3 or 4 hours of performance for a date fragrance or one specifically made for intimacy moments. However, this one is made to be a versatile, everyday casual fragrance and you would need to apply 3 times during a normal work day.

hokieguy95

I have worn Coach since around its /inception. I was looking for a new scent around that time and the young lady at ULTA recommended it and said it was one of her new favorites. The wife liked it as well. It leans masculine and with fruity but not overly cloying sweetness balanced with citrus and slight spiciness. I also detect a grape fruitiness in this. I do not detect any leather in this. I have two bottles which is necessary as this has poor performance and must be reapplied repeatedly. One of the least performing fragrances I have. Actually, it's pretty terrible performance and doesn't project for long, but it's a great crowd-pleasing scent and good dumb reach with a great price point.

Scent 8/10
Performance 3/10
Price: 7/10

Eple Drikken

ppl think this smells generic? it smells great, smells like a Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance, and performance is outstanding since it projects moderately but lasts for a long time

LMBelvi

I tried this at Ulta and sprayed on my hand, which unfortunately washes off quicker so I can't comment on longevity. But, it was immediately an inviting, easy to wear scent. The fruit, lavender and cardamom are primary I think. Dry down nice, but the opening half- hour is definitely the strong suit. (and I don't mean it's strong--it's not especially).
I think it is unisex (I'm female), although I'm guessing most would smell it and recognize it as intended to lean masculine. My one confusion is the bottle. It seems very DARK, indicating a fall/winter scent. I think it is much more suited for warm weather, daytime use--just not the greatest look for this product.
I'll probably buy a sample in the future but guessing I won't want a bottle. Agree with others who put this in the dumb reach category.

RLSafari

Horrible atomizer, reminds me of a nicer version of montblac legend spirit. IT is ok but not spectacular. long lasting.

KissaKaali53

Easy to wear, something you can just spray on in the morning. Can still smell it on my skin after 5 hours, solid 2 hours projection. 5 sprays. A reliable, affordable rock in my collection. Only thing I dislike is the atomizer. The spray is awful and the mechanics on it are quite clunky.

Catacal

Bought this one because I was bored at work that day and was testing out the frags we have testers for. Asked 3 female colleagues on separate occasions what they thought about it and it was positive reception. Not blown away this is amazing, but wouldn't mind a male friend wearing it kind of vibe. Anyways picked it up and asked my relative who by the way is picky with frag scent. Good vibes all round. Super easy to wear

shadabkuwawala

Best office frag for summer

dialecticaldean

This one is a decent fragrance. I used to wear it in my early twenties and is just fine for the price. Great dumb reach especially during the Spring and Summer times. Biggest downside is its performance of course, but the scent profile is fantastic. Just a great smelling, not long-lasting fragrance. If you're young and just starting out, get this one!

Simpleton

I sampled it and loved it. It felt like a simpler type of BDC. I purchased a big bottle and started using it. Over time I have come to like it less and less. The opening and heart notes are nice but the dry down is too spicy (cardamom?) and somehow smells cheap. I am giving it to my nephew.

Rabbaj

Love this scent , sweet for everyday saison !! Blind buy 💯💯

spartaksci

Great value here. I find Coach Platinum more interesting with the Pineapple/Leather combo, but this one being a Summer frag, i do think it's very nice. Follows the trend of modern blue frags but comparing it to others in the same category, the price tag on this is unbeatable. The Ambroxan element here is present but also tame, which makes it very safe and pleasant. It's an "all-rounder" anytime/anywhere type of fragrance and it doesn't smell cheap at all. If you looking for a dumb reach fragrance for everyday use with a mass-appealing facet, i'd recommend this one.
Projection and Longevity are what you'd expect out of a scent of this DNA, nothing more nothing less so no complaints for me on it.

Joseph moummar

It's very safe and beautiful summer fragrance. I bought it and my friend's GF asked to wear it, literally killed it for me.

puri27

At first I wrote that I wouldn't buy it because it looks like Dylan Blue, but I realized that coach smells better. This is a great compliment getter.

ebrahim.abasi.raki

Docplaya

Perfect year-round work scent. I get about 6 hours of a skin scent and about 2 hours of decent projection. As many have commented below, there is this mild powdery, sweetness to the fragrance. Prada L'homme also has a powdery, sweet scent (not like Coach) and it’s hailed as a great work fragrance. I prefer Coach for Men.

FragranceVirgin

i bought this fragrance on a whim, not thinking that I would like it but I thought I would try it out, and BOY was I wrong. This is by far the best fragrance I've ever had the pleasure of smelling/wearing. this is the ultimate compliment getter! I this is a 10/10 blind buy that wont break the bank! i HIGHLY recommend!

Basman

In way of scent this is among my favourite blue fragrances. It's the performance that brings it a little down for me. But for the price you can't complain to much.

Dumbplings

Never realized this until last night, but this smells similar to prada l'homme can't put my finger on what it is though. Then other times when I smell it I get a little bit of chanel allure homme sport and then a bit of sauvage, this fragrance is like one that changes a lot each time you smell it and it's got a bit of many different popular fragrances in it.

Also performance is great, last a long time and projects. It's not beast mode but it's definitely not bad at all. Easy 8 hours

Asca Naca

Something about this just smells delicious! It is really sweet and appealing. They did a good job in the scent profile but it could use some major improvements as far as longevity goes. The bottle is nice. The atomizer sucks but it's cool how you can turn it to the side to lock it. Super inoffensive and easy to wear.

gonzalez-alcantar01

brilliant sauvage clone had to look closely and i actually put on coach for men

Hamziz

A nice sporty and casual scent you can wear everywhere. Lacks uniqueness but hey, it's a designer fragrance. I see people wearing this to school, university, work and casual weekend. I feel its a good scent with balanced sweetness and freshness. I put this in the blue fragrance category for sure. Any age can pull this off, maybe more of a youthful profile. People from 18 - 30 maybe. Performance is okay, somewhere between 4 - 6 hours with 3 - 5 sprays.

FragranceKnowledge

I agree with Denimtuxedo, Y'all it's $25-50 depending on the size.. Yes it's not the strongest but it's my most complimented of all time out of 150+ Bottles,

What will you get?

1. 10/10 scent profile: Women love it
2. 5-6 Hours longevity: Which is avg for a freshie
3. Low-Medium projection: again avg with freshies

Over all I paid $49.00 for a 200ML and could not be happier

dopps

2nd fav scent behind ysl y edp

JohnnyFriendly

Super chill to wear while working from home, I think it has a purple grape smell to it. Certainly not groundbreaking or unique, but just a solid clean designer that works well in the daytime.

Dumbplings

I judged this fragrance too quickly! this is a compliment beast and so many girls really love this!

Vikkinca

Coach For Men EDT is your pleasant everyday work scent. In fact it is a very good dumb reach. Worth having in your collection, but I feel there are other fragrances that fit the brief better, some cheaper than Coach. The top notes work so well together and offers a sweet freshness, with a nice tea vibe in the dry-down. Not the greatest longevity at around 6 hours, but I cannot see anyone not liking this either to wear or smelling it on others.

Callum_D

Inoffensive

Mklazer20

Crazy I'm starting to see a trend on here with everyones reviews. This is not a dirt cheap fragrance and definitely not a high priced designer yet everyone expects all in this price range to be bangers with monster performance lol. This thing definitely lasts every bit of 7-8 hours with 4-5 sprays and smells amazing and will definitely garner compliments if you are around friendly people who compliment people who smell good. These bad reviews can be off putting to newbies in the fragrance game who just want to smell amazing! If you have less that 5 fragrances and refuse to spend over $50 on a bottle of cologne and you want everyone to like the way you smell get this stuff, I have yet to meet a woman who doesn’t like this stuff. Get fragrance for the price you pay for it. If you want to standout and have something nobody else is wearing prepare to spend some cash and do your homework!

ryanok21

Seems like a lot of people are disappointed in this cologne and I can understand why. It has a very fruity smell, which some people may like, but it's not for me. The longevity isn't great and the scent isn't appealing.

Kevinpar

I received this one as a gift on christmas. It is a good alternative for dumb reach fragrances like dior sauvage, you spray and go.

It is a mix of sauvage, bleu de chanel, and invictus. Ambroxan heavy like sauvage. Soapy like bleu chanel, fruity and aromatic like invictus.

I personally do not enjoy any of these fragrances except bleu de chanel so i do not love it but i like it, i use it after shower around the house.

People complain about the performance but this one lasts like 7-8 hours on my skin and minimum 3 hours heavy heavy projection, it fills the room. I have no issue about the performance.

Novoscentologist

Coach for men...

...I personally don't understand the high rating but I'm glad that many people seem to like it.
The bottle is nice and it smells.

dannnine

Used to like this. Not anymore. I can't stand this anymore after I used it daily. What a shame I bought the largest bottle.

wh1msydevIant

Smells basic, blue frag + cardamom. Not offensive and it smells pleasant but it doesn't have that wow factor. Not my cup of tea but women DIG this stuff, like mad head over heels. So yeah, if you want women to go crazy akin to that axe chocolate man commercial then you should get this

bIGsNKy

I [23M] am fairly new to the game and this was my first purchase. I smelled basically everything you can sample at Ulta/Sephora/Macy's/Belk before landing on this scent. Here's the way I see things:

-It's not going to get hype from fragheads. It's not incredibly complex, isn't an insane performer, and smells a bit "young"

-I don't think it is ever going to take over as an incredibly popular scent amongst the younger crowd. It's not "loud" or strong enough to properly please people who want a club scent. I also don't think it's the kind of scent that young men typically pick for themselves. I don't think that it creates an identity in the same way that more popular scents do. It's very "speak softly and carry a big stick" in my opinion. This would smell out of place on someone in a suit or an ostentatious outfit.

-This strikes me as a cologne for men for women. Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of it and I bough it for me. But I've definitely seen more enthusiasm from women than men when sampling it. It's relatively new and not well established as a prestigious cologne like popular offerings from Dior/YSL/Chanel/Prada. When I've gone smelling I've noticed most men walk right past it. I don't know if it's because Coach is well established as a highly desirable brand for handbags or something else, but women don't walk right past it. They stop and smell it and they love it.

The following is a true anecdote from a few days ago that really highlights the character of this bad boy. I was sampling perfumes in a Macy's the other day. The beauty department was at the entrance to the store, so you had to walk past it. A young mother came in the store with her daughter, and they didn't appear to be perfume shopping. They walked past the first counter of men's fragrances with no acknowledgement. At the second counter Coach caught her eye and shet stopped. She smelled Coach Blue and put it down. She smelled Coach Platinum and put it down. She smelled Coach for Men and her shoulders relaxed, she smiled and she passed it to her younger daughter to smell. Then she went about her day.

The spokesman for Coach for Men is Michael B. Jordan and I think it really fits.

If your aesthetic is a nice pair of well fitting jeans and a solid colored t-shirt with a nice plain casual jacket or sweater then this is for you. If you want to smell like a desirable boyfriend look no further. If you think you "just don't like cologne" or "aren't the kind of person who wears cologne" then you should buy this. This shit is sexy in an intimate way. If you don't need to make a statement with your clothes, Sex Panther cologne, and misogyny to feel like a man then you'll love this or your money back guaranteed*.

Fresh leather. Nice longevity and projection for the first couple hours. I think this is still better than the platinum version. 8/10

BossDon519

This thing smells amazing ! Girls will love it . I had a girl say I smelled exotic and yes she was fine as hell. Just don’t get girls to put their face right in it.(Even though they may just want too str8 Facts.) let ppl smell it in the air or when u walk by them let em smell it that way. It smells way better in the air then someone smelling it right on your skin or on paper. The dry down is mad woodys with the suede. Too 🔥🔥 my dudes !! With the fresh opening that drives girls insane .. u can’t lose

vola_cea

This is an excellent fragrance and one of the few I would confidently recommend as a blind buy. It is inexpensive, smells great, and other people love smelling it (I have been stopped several times). The only negative for me is the synthetic notes sting my eyes slightly.

The pear and citrus are strong but fade within 20 minutes, leaving a very masculine scent trail behind. I had suspicions so I looked up the perfumer - Anne Flipo worked on the original LNDL and Invictus, and it is evident based on how the drydown smells. If you like either one, you will enjoy this.

An advantage this has over others is the surprising uniqueness. This does not feel redundant in my collection, and occupies it's own little space of situational use. I originally gave this away to a friend because it smelled "ok", but I had to buy another bottle after I experienced how great the scent trail is to an observer.

BigBobRoss

Dark citrus smell, moderate longevity...

Not really my kind of scent

Tob.biden

Super lowkey, not your typical Joe, but Joe exotic.
Only down side is that it's not very long lasting

FragDude25

I like this! Not the most original DNA in the world, but I don’t think you could hate this scent: the opening pear note to me is really solid. This is an easy blind buy, just don’t pay full price.

Coach for men - Opens with pear that quickly combines with the ♥️ lavender. The Pear+ Lavender smells like suede or grape soda but it’s a nice smooth twist on Ambroxan. Coach is the only blue fragrance I’ve tried that doesn’t make me feel like I’ve over-sprayed or its to much it just gives off a nice bubble around you. The longevity is ok I pick it up after 7 hours perfect for those late night summer vibes. Personally it’s one of my favorite I hope this review helps.

Review in progress... Similar to Jimmy Choo Man? No, they just share that suede-lavender combo which, if you look for it, you find in both. No surprise, both by the same perfumer.
COACH open up sweet and warm, and too much ambergris. Gets lost with the bunch. But in 10-15min the pear starts taking over, and there's some florals. And petrol, just like you sniff that classic petrol smell in Vaseline.
Pear/lavender Vaseline with a kumquat trail

30 minutes in I can understand the "reminds me of" Sauvage. Maybe 40-50% but the other 50% is cleaned up and smoothed out. It's just a "reminds me off", and dare I say, spicy/ambergris done better. Certainly more pleasing.

60 minutes the spiciness is now more nuanced. Now dominated by lavender/coriander/vetiver.
I think that petroleum note is just how synthetic the suede is---definitely has the shoe polish vive---but now I really have to look for it. Projection is average. No one 2 feet way will likely smell it. Of note, gone is the generic blandness of the opening. It has come unto it's own. It went from from late teens casual wear to office/semi-formal wear. But clearly inoffensive in any setting.
If Encre Noir Sport (which I have I compared side-to-side) were more sexier and appealing, this is it.

GalvatronType_R

Surprisingly good scent. I like the lime/bergamot opening. But this has terrible performance. It quits projecting in 2 hours and becomes a skin level scent soon after that.

I would rate this 3/5 but it goes up to a 4/5 because it can be found easily at steep discounts. Never pay full price for a bottle of this.

Diddleydaddy6901234

This one is gorgeous. Love the lavender in it.
It's performance is moderate all round. It's lasts a decent amount on me but it doesn't project hugely. Which is a bit of a bummer but hey. There's situations in life you don't want to be too loud.
Great scent and very versatile.
One criticism is the atomizer. It's awful, it's not easy to press with one hand. It required effort. And the atomizer doesn't distribute much either. The spray doesn't have a wide pray pattern. It shoots you almost.
Oh well, it's a great scent and an upgrade on Jimmy Choo Man performance wise for sure.

fromthesidelines

Another one that's too sweet for my nose. The opening is nice, that pear and lavender work well together. But the next half-hour or so of transitioning to the mid and base notes is hell on my nose and causes it to itch. Itchiness fades as it becomes a skin scent. There's something creamy in the base that makes me think vanilla or tonka but those aren't listed. For the price it's good and versatile. Clean. Inoffensive. Sweet. Can see this being a safe pick for younger professionals in work and daily life.

Aso

This smells kinda good, but doesn't project and doesn't really last. The sprayer is weak too, so that doesn't help either.
For the price I paid I'm not satisfied.

Cäsperrr

i just got the perfume and it smells very nice! its very citrus and very chill it doesnt last a long time but it smells good

manygaga

I bought this very cheap and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a typical blue scent but to me it's smells great. Lovely fruity/citrus top with a warm drydown. I prefer the smell above dylan blue or Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Blu. It gives me confidence because I know everyone will like the smell. For the low price I paid this is really a steal and a damn good blue one. Performance is not very good unfortunately. Wish they made a stronger version...

AbdoulAllie

COMPLIMENT GETTER FOR THE LADIES...
Not a must buy for me at least but somehow-------this is a lady snatcher!!! Had a compliment from my female boss, she told me I smell like church--------LOL... Sadly, it doesn't last long-----only 3 - 4 hours at most...
It's good to explore other options and this fragrance is a good example...

I guess this use to be a cheapie. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

YusufKliza

It does smell like jimmy choo intense. You can project more and have a longer lasting scent trail with Jimmy choo, but even with that in mind, I still bought this one. A great juicy fresh pear, suede, aquatic scent. Its perfect for the gym and it won't be overbearing for people. Extremely safe a good grab and go and personally I think it's great for the price. One of my favorites.

PierreLouis

Hugely overpriced pleasant smelling Rexona deodorant with even less performance. It's not a negative judgement, the fact is that deodorant producers make very great efforts to emulate their more expensive cousins with good results. This product is unremarkable. Don't waste your money on this.

Cologne Nut

Lasts all of about 10 minutes. No kidding.

ashesofadam

Versatile and charming. I would call this thing sweet, tangy, spicy, all painted over manly American stubble smells. The opening is super sweet and exotic smelling, but it’s unmistakably animalistic and sophisticated.

Cardamom is always an enticing fragrance to me, but this one combines it with some unique choices that I and others have really enjoyed 5/5 nice fragrance and fairly affordable. I got my 60mL for about $45 online.

My favorite time of day to apply this one is the afternoon just before some tea or coffee because the citrus and florals are really beautiful smelling. Coach for Men dries down nicely for a cooler evening walk, where the more sensual skin notes like amber-y leather and masculine vetiver really resonate.

oceansoflorewi

This is a simple but intoxicating male fragrance.

Coach for men original has this alluring metallic grape-sicle/ grape soda vibe all while being incredibly aromatic and fresh. I recently been studying the rare Escada Magnetism for men they claim it smells like grape soda. No COACH FOR MEN smells like grape soda without it pushing gourmand territory.

Despite its sexy allure- it's still more a work scent than anything. Handsome professional smell of power productivity but hinting to his co-workers that he is single and endowed lol.

This isn't for the gym, dates, night lounges, nor clubs. It's not even blue to me- its 'gray' over blue. Purplish gray scent.

This smell is so versatile and a bit generic though- it's hard to place this in a season. One side of me wants to say Summer with the bright salty grape and the other side of me says Autumn with the peppery woods. Versatile scents annoy me- I appreciate smells that have more of a distinct personality to place it in a season.

Afrikano

Great inoffensive shower gel fresh scent. However this fragrance made me realize I don’t like scents that are pear based or heavy in that note. Same with ultra male, I like it but something always threw me off but now I realize it was the pear. Snagged coach platinum instead since that better suits me but this is a great workhorse fragrance for the masses.

Denimtuxedo

This hums all fucking day. It's time for people to accept this may be the best designer fragrance out, especially for the price. If you ever watched the Last Dragon and wanted to feel the glow, buy this.

Idontlikefrags91

I held off on coach for men for a along time but walmart had it on clearance so I got it and if you like blue fragrances like bdc dylan blue etc you'll love this dylan blue has horrible performance these I guess older batches performed amazing but this 2021 batch I have is horrible like 1 hour longevity 30min projection but coach smells like dylan blue with a dash of bdc with performance that's average but way better the dylan blue thats for sure

bryandelacrvz

love this scent. smells sweet-fruity and masculine. Was my daily for a few months and got compliments. Smells like jimmy choo man but last longer. Easy grab.

Alexander_M

I bought a tester of this for 27€, a good price considering what its "blue" competitors are at. I didn't like how metallic Dior Sauvage smelled or how intense Dylan blue smelled and I heard this smelled less so, albeit having weaker performance. But for the price, you really can't go wrong with this! This will make for an excellent and inoffensive everyday wear and it's exactly what I needed. Love the fruity opening and the classic ambroxan drydown.

Chromo

It’s a great versatile everyday fragrance. I find it very powdery, but it’s not in the list accords? Wierd.
I wear it to work a couple of days a week. Ok longivity, but I always end up reaplying at noon.
Great for the price 👍

dmoond

Okay but nothing original or inspired, and limited longevity. Better than a generic cologne, but not by much. Eau de Mediocre.

realtyisme

Great Safe Scent. Would rank higher in my favorites if it offered better performance.

seliko

While my boyfriend does like this fragrance, I am absolutely in love with it... Every morning he wears this scent and throughout the entirety of the day I can not help but tell him that he smells sooo good... (to the point where I just want to glue myself to him) I am sick of smelling Dior Sauvage everywhere, but I am glad that nobody around me uses this fragrance except for my man, just makes it more special to me!

Shoomee

This one is solid. Sweet, soft opening with a touch of citrus. The pear stands out the most to me. The opening blends into the mid and smells pretty similar. The dry down is soft, faintly sweet and almost a bit powdery to me. Suede is definitely a noticeable note here. Really inoffensive, a bit generic, but it does smell good. Performance is actually ok, a bit below average at worst.

Not a must own by any stretch but I quite like having it as a dumb reach for lazy days.

dannnine

This is a nice fragrance that almost everyone loves. If I were to have only one fragrance it would be this. Even though this isn't my favorite fragrance. The bottle is very unique, but the sprayer isn't that comfortable at the beginning but you'll get used to it. And This does not come with any cap or locking mechanism for the sprayer. If I had to chose one season to wear this it would be fall but you can wear this anytime anywhere.
