Poison Girl Eau De Toilette by Dior is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. Poison Girl Eau De Toilette was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top notes are Frosted Orange, Bitter Orange and Lemon; middle notes are Orange Blossom, Neroli, Grasse Rose and Damask Rose; base notes are Vanilla, Caramel, Tonka Bean, Heliotrope and Cashmeran.

Dior launched Poison Girl in January 2016 as the fragrance of a new generation of Poison. Its sweet and heady combination of bitter orange, Damask rose and rose from Grasse, almond, vanilla and tonka bean is announced by the slogan "I'm not a girl, I'm poison." A year later, in January 2017, its new edition comes out as Poison Girl Eau De Toilette.

Poison Girl Eau de Toilette is a refreshed version of the original, dedicated to the same "type of femininity ... freer, more daring and more virtual than ever." The new composition, which is also signed by Francois Demachy, is based on the "shock effect" of three aromatic aspects; there are refreshing frozen orange, warm roses from Grasse and sparkling neroli.

The signature bottle design, which was created for the original fragrance in 1985 by designer Véronique Monod, is also present in this edition. The fragrance will be available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

So sweet!!! There’s probably something like this at Victoria’s Secret for cheaper. Kinda reminds me of Bombshell? I’ve been out of this hobby for a bit. Definitely sugary sweet, kinda seems like a tween scent

christinamariev

This is one of the best in the poison line. I have never smelt the EDP but if it smells anything like this or better I’m sure I would love it. Although this has a lot of citrus, I do not get citrus at all. I get a ton of Tonka, vanilla, with cashmere from initial spray to dry down so I don’t see the comparison to devotion. I think they are two completely different scents, both delicious! I also don’t get the infamous “play doh” scent that hypnotic poison has. I will say lasting power is horrible, probably no more than 2 hours. Not a unique scent by any means but you would probably want to sample for buying since reviews are mixed.

d0llparts111

I used to love this one when I was in 9th grade. But now it’s making me nauseous with all the sweetness. It’s like caramel rose syrup. The only note I like in this fragrance is probably cashmeran which makes it a little cozy and comforting in the dry down. Still too sweet though. Like cavities kind of sweet…

archerries

A sweet citrus with a sugary caramel dry down. At best, lemon meringue pie. At worst, lemon-scented wet wipes.

This was a blind buy for me. I wanted a spring/summer version of one of my favorite fragrances, Hypnotic Poison, and based on reviews online, this seemed to be the closest to what I wanted.
At first I was put off by the very strong citrus opening, thinking I just wasted my money to smell like a household cleaner, but about 30 minutes later the scent transformed into something very delicious, like a lemon-orange pie or cake.
While the scent is a bit subtle compared to the HP EDT, it surprisingly lasted a long time on me. I sprayed it in my wrist at 9:30pm, and I could still slightly smell it the next day at noon. Will try more than one spray next time.
I can't wait to wear it out in the warmer weather. I will update my review once the 50C heat/100% humidity comes and the bottle ages a bit.

I’m obsessed! Poison girl has been on my list for a long time. Sephora unfortunately only sells the EDT but it’s still a good option! I must mention that this has some similarities to DG’s Devotion, but trust that they both are very different from each other. I get sweet, sultry, candied orange and vanilla-that is so intoxicating. There’s some floral and woody notes that give it depth. The bottle is so pretty! I just purchased it. The only concern is the longevity factor. I will give it some time and hope that the longevity improves.💖✨

zaraatlantic

An orange blossom bomb. I actually hate this just smelling it on my wrist, but the sillage is so nice for some reason? Very powdery to me, gourmand in a strange and bitter way.

nekosign

A Lovely perfume. Warm, nice, girly, and fresh with this citrus note. Joyfull. Maybe just for young woman. I don’t really wear it anymore, but I had use this for many years and on my wedding travel. It remember me very good memories.

gabygauthier

I can’t believe nobody is talking about how similar it is to D&G Devotion! Suuuchh a pretty fragrance

Maria19

I bought a new bottle. This is almost the perfect fragrance for those who like the gourmand scent of a grown woman. On my skin, all the fragrance notes are in harmony with each other. Sexy scent, men like this.

annnna45

soo yum got a lil tester of it and i would say this is my ideal vanilla fragrance, i wouldnt say it smells too citrusy the orange goes so well w the vanilla and caramel. i think the smell at first isnt amazingly good but dry down is so gorgeous. i would like to get a full size but im wondering if hypnotic poison is a better option

FruityPatchouli

Definitely get the lemon candy in the opening! Like a hard candy. It’s fleeting on skin, but I still get a bit of the lemon on my clothes. On skin it dries down to a simple almond scent, but I love that. I can never have enough almond! Wow, this is such a pick me up during the dreary winter. I needed it. This and Hypnotic Poison are keeping my spirits up!

Catyy

It smells like orange candies which i’m not a fan of. Sillage is pretty good although it is edt, on the other hand, it’s still sickly sweet and juvenile for my taste. Preferable if you are a fan of gourmands and significant orange notes.

jujuba4596

I've just tried a sample today and I'm simply IN LOVE. This is surprisingly good. It's all I look for in a fragrance: it's sweet but not obvious (because of the orange note); it's easily a day and night fragrance; it has a vanilla note (my favorite) mixed with caramel and tonka bean in a perfect balance. I feel like this is me in a bottle. Maybe my new signature. Just really need to buy a large bottle asap. Poison Girl EDT is so underrated!
The EDP is not as good as this one (:

beaucafea

I believe this is a fragrance that works in every situation. In my opinion it can be worn all year round, without being unnoticed or headache inducing. It's classy enough to be worn in the office, but wild enough for a party or a date night.

kittenpawz

I tried it on a blotter strip (which I later took with me) and on a wrist at a mall and was immediately drawn in by the scent. At home it disappeared the very same day although I'm usually very generous with testers and can pick up the scent after several days, even though it's obviously not as intense. Here, nothing at all. At home I washed my arms right away and it washed off completely, no trace left. I get that it's EDT but you'd still expect more from Dior. Even Aquolina has better performing EDTs. :/

Blizzie99

I’m disappointed with this one. It smells like lemon scented lysol wipes.

shyfilly

Lots of people here are saying they prefer the EDP but I have to say I tried both and the EDP is much too strong for me! this EDT is so much softer and nicer to smell! It is a sweet rich vanilla that is a bit floral and citrusy and I love it! Super comforting and warm!

ruxela

call me crazy...I smell some anise

brainrott

although i do love how this fragrance is a more citrusy lighter version of the EDP, it is disappointing how the EDP is so much harder to find in stores. ive seen lots of comments saying how it doesnt last but personally i get almost the same longevity with the EDT as the EDP! this has become my signature summer scent with the yummy gourmand vanilla and orange notes. love love love!

Sanrio

I can't believe Sephora no longer sells the EDP and sells this instead. The opening is orange essential oil and it dries down to a faint whisper of the EDP, like a weaker more watery version. I sprayed this 6 times and asked multiple people if they smelled anything and they all said no.

You're better off getting some citrus vanilla body spray by BBW.

Lovescents3

This is a delicious orange vanilla scent.
The EDT is light wearing, can enjoy all year round. Comforting in the cooler weather.

kisamisa

i think it's unfortunate that dior is giving more love to the EDT than the EDP. this is the poorer performing, more citrus-heavy version of the EDP, that smells like straight citrus and vanilla, with a slight root beer note, that disappears in an hour. this is just the watered down version of the incredible EDP. most stores in my area don't even stock the EDP, and i really don't understand why dior thinks this is the flanker with more potential commercial success.

cottonpuff_

Smells like an elevated orange creamsicle. Take the original creamsicle ice cream, but add rose petals, bits of orange zest, and a caramel drizzle. Smells addicting, it’s sweet for sure but doesn’t get super sweet on my skin (I’m thinking the rose note cuts through the sugar which gives the perfume a nice balance). Longevity is good as well, this performs like an edp on me (but maybe that’s because my bottle has been macerated for a year already; I know the juice from new bottles don’t last lol)

I hate the marketing for this perfume. I think the clubbing theme they did for the ads doesn’t match the way this smells.

I would consider this my favorite “basic” perfume. I prefer this over Black Opium, La vie est belle, flowerbomb, etc. Those other ones get too sickening sticky sweet on me, and has notes that don’t blend well together imo.

Mariyamokshina

Similar to ysl black opium but nowhere near as good

VanillaAlmondRose

Opens citrusy (mostly orange, with a hint of lemon) and a bit of a vague but pleasant floral. Heart is more floral vanilla. Base is a warm, creamy vanilla. It's quite nice. I love vanilla fragrances, but they are often too sweet or too gourmand for my preference. This is quite nice. I also do not love citrus fragrances, but the citrus notes in this are not overwhelming and are nicely balanced.

jbsherry

This smells like sensual orange-creamsicle lotion in the best way possible. The citrus opening is to die for- I wish it lasted longer. It’s bright, effervescent, and invigorating. Not to buy into the marketing too much, but I would say it’s a bit “shocking” in the sense that it’s unexpected (perhaps I should try that flanker next, hah).

This is a lovely & creamy citrus-vanilla fragrance with gourmand caramel, powdery heliotrope, and fluffy cahshmeran woven into the base. Once it fully dries down it is quite cozy. Bears little resemblance to Hypnotic Poison, which I also love, only in the sense that they are vanillic and have creamy elements. Longevity and silage are moderate. Feminine and sexy fragrance without being overt & sweet without being overly saccharine.

kangbi

love ittt. smells so pretty, slightly reminds me of those ice cream popsicles with the orange flavoured outside. a gorgeous vanilla with hints of orange and florals.

Samar.Samir

Love the smell but hate that it literally stays for few minutes and then nothing...

Acrelune

I can’t believe I used to be obsessed with this!
Funny how people change!
I still have 2/3 of my bottle and I never reach out for it because it just smells ridiculously childish to me now. Though it was expensive and the bottle is gorgeous so I can’t seem to be able to get rid of it lol.

I mostly get caramel, orange, vanilla and tonka bean.
It would fall in the same ballpark as The Only One by D&G and Luna by Nina Ricci.

5/10

Julipet

I love this. Definitely a sweet, gourmand scent. Vanilla and caramel in this are delightful. Every time I sniff my wrist, it's like licking a lollipop. It brings back childhood memories. I don't perceive Poison Girl Eau de Toilette as "sexy", as marketing would suggest. Maybe it's a metaphor, like "Candy shop" and "Milkshake"? If it is, it's too subtle.

Light and enjoyable enough for every day and every season. However, smells more fruity in high humidity. It rained yesterday and I finally smelled those oranges. It isn't as long-lasting as other vanilla scents I own. Still, the next day I still can smell faint traces of rose on my hair. On my skin it lasts until the evening.

Many people dismiss this fragrance and say it's too common and simple. That it doesn't hold up to its ancestors in the proud Poison line. The most common argument I hear from perfumers and fans is that this one just caters to popular tastes, while all its predecessors went against the trend and became iconic because they were so different from what everyone wore at the time.

Maybe that's the message? Maybe this time, Dior decided not to create history, but to capture the zeitgeist? Making something that isn't "special" or "different", but quintessential, characteristic of the time we live in? Because in 21 century, not perfumers decide what is "in" right now, but consumers, with their phones, reviews, and - most importantly, their purchases? It's like when couturiers take looks from the streets and elevate them to high fashion.

Modern consumer doesn't need to be told what she is supposed to like. She knows what she wants and she wants sweet fruity-gourmand goodness that is still light enough for all seasons. Because she wears perfumes not to seduce, but to improve her mood, to enjoy herself. Maybe that's why cherries, pineapples, strawberries, almonds, coconuts, and lollipops reign supreme for so long? Maybe that is why even violets and rose petals are sugar-coated and caramelized in the most popular fragrances?

Yes. Poison Girl is a candy. But it's a quality candy. It's an exclusive hand-made candy from a "Toffee Nose" boutique. It isn't mystical, it isn't dark. But it makes its cheerful "commonness" a statement, sticking it to snobs.

All in all, I believe it has a right to be in a Poison line. Sugar is a poison, too. Modern Snow White isn't poisoned by an apple soaked in deadly concoction. She doesn't drink from a greenish phial with a skull-and-bones motif. She doesn't eat Datura leaves. She willingly poisons herself by consuming sugar, colorants, artificial flavorings, and other things that might taste like fruit but are anything but.

abbatoirviolets

this fragrance starts out with a sharp citrus and after a few minutes settles into a warm vanilla cashmere scent that smells so good on my skin
there is a powdery aspect to it but not anything to harsh or mature
as far as warm gourmands go i would pick this over ysl black opium any day the vanilla is delicious and lingers for hours

Maria19

It was worth buying! I knew what the Edp smells like so I bought the Edt without trying it. I like this better. As many say, it smells like vanilla, but I think the tonka bean adds character or some other scent note. The scent lasts quite a long time on my skin. This is sexy and harmonious. Also powdery. So, if the powderiness bothers you, it's worth testing before buying. In general, it's worth testing scents if you can. I got my money's worth!

saho93

This was a blind buy. In high school I loved the original Poison when it was first introduced in the 80s. I tried the reformulation, and it is sadly not to my liking. A bit too soapy and has only a little resemblance to the original.

So, I decided to try this flanker. First, not sure why it’s a flanker. It is so different. It is better than reformulated poison, but not a love. To me it leans heavily on vanilla and powder, and I guess I have similar ones from other perfume houses. The opening citrus and then floral is fleeting because powdery vanilla takes over quickly. So, it is not so special for me but still a nice scent.

It is a like definitely.

Update: 09/19/2023. This layers well with a citrus fragrance as the combination cuts through some of the sweetness and adds a little bit of freshness to the pretty powdery vanilla. I layered Poison Girl EDT with Hermes eau de pamplemousse rose.

PerfumeJOJO

Lovely, feminine, gourmandy, sweet heaven, get the EDT and not the EDP...very sexy perfume liked by all men I know but the longevity is just bad it's an hour or two at most I spray more than 6 sprays still bad...and the EDP is too sweet for my nose.

DIOR is my favourite perfume brand, they always come up with stunning perfumes, love it.

mariminney

I love the dry-down! For me it smells just like pure vanilla and caramel, but not in a gourmand way. Might be a common scent and I see it as suitable for more younger women. It’s a guilty pleasure and I would love to buy a full bottle

osakinuit

Can smell a lot of bitterness in this, like the bitter orange and lemon are the first thing that hits my nose and the bitterness is so strong it’s almost like smelling a grapefruit or it’s peel. And it kinda reminds me of those cleaning sprays that are lemon/citrus scented lol but that’s when I overthink the scent too much but I swear it does remind me of it a little. Expected something better but it’s still a pretty scent. Especially when the top notes go away and u can smell more of the flowers and vanilla mixed with caramel. Poison Girl Unexpected is a lot more interesting and unique in my opinion, but still it’s good to try both of them.

Riri33

I love this perfume so much. The lasting power isn’t great though especially for its price. It opens fresh but sexy. It has an undertone of depth and warmth that will surface after an hour or so. After 3 hours you will have to reapply as will sit closer to the skin. Overall worth buying.

darkflaneuse

This is like a very sugary orange and vanilla cookie—nice in small bites but cloying if eaten too often. It’s very sweet and suitable for parties but unfortunately does not last that long. It’s a nice perfume to reach for every now and then, but given how pricey it is I dont think I’ll repurchase. There are so many citrusy-vanillas out there at way lower prices.

Samantha2019

Simply gorgeous, sexy, romantic, sweet, and elegant.

Gyps

I like this fragrance and think it’s nicer than the EDP. The initial spray is gorgeous and nicely balanced. Citrus, flowers and a lovely subtle powdery note. Not long lasting on me though which is a real shame. Love it for what it is.

giovannastrek

Its great, but I’m not a fan of the drydown. Initial scent is floral and fruity but delicate. But after a few hours it smells very different and the powdery sweet scent is all i can catch, not much floral or fruit left.

Rimazy

I love it so much. Wish it had another name. She's not just a girl.

minizelda

The oranges, roses, tonka bean 💗💗💗💗

Marina.Klr

This one smells like orange cookies topped with a frozen vanilla-sugar glaze, for an irresistible, melt-in-your-mouth result! The EDT and the EDP are almost identical, with the minor difference that this is more orangy than the original, while in the original the vanilla and the almond are more prominent. Both are amazing! This one has great projection and longevity too, although it’s an EDT.

AdalynEverly

This is the first real perfume that I have ever bought so I am very biases towards this one in all honesty. This perfume is a nice sweet vanilla that is a bit generic, but you honestly can't go wrong with. This reminds me of the numerous dates I went to and the many frogs that I kissed during freshman year of college. This perfume does have a place in my heart.
Edit: now that I have tried different perfumes. This one is way too cloyingly sweet.

raqketa

instant love. i’m obsessed. so gorgeous. and perfect for my current fragrance preference situation right now - i’m deeeeep in a fruity (berries, citruses, or pear/apricot), floral (usually jasmine or orange blossom but bonus points if it’s peach blossom or heliotrope!), gourmand (caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, praline toffee, and/or sweet balsam-y amber) phase right now. i’ve tried many(!) lately, and this is easily near the top of my bracket (across both designer and niche). sitting on my hands to keep myself from ordering a backup bottle right this instance, and that’s saying a lot. 🥰

dovey

This is very different from the eau de Parfum
This has an orangey🍊 dowey ,Vanillay, fresh off the oven cakey scent🍰🧁
Another perfume that gave me that same vibe was Amo Ferragamo
I like it
Sweet Gourmand for cold weathers

Krem4e363

Удивителен, секси, сладък, изиящен!

melusina1982

This one is very fun, very festive. It smells like Panettone on my skin: candied orange and doughy almond vanilla. I usually don't go for edible gourmands so I don't think I will buy another bottle but it was nice while it lasted.

kristenkr

An effortlessly elegant, flirtatious, and dreamy mélange of milky orange creamsicle and soft vanilla-caramel florals. It's light enough for spring-summer days, but equally beguiling enough for moonlit date nights and bedtime (no matter naughty or nice) spritzes. Just as sexy as Pure Poison, but far sweeter; it's an instant, all-caps LOVE that I'll be coming back to forever.

Dani342

If you want to smell like play dough this is the one for you

d0llparts111

i used this perfume a lot as a freshman. and i got so many compliments which im not surprised because it smells very seductive, mysterious and feminine. but its TOO sweet. i would wear it if it wasn’t summertime rn. first time i sprayed it, it didnt last at all and then i figured that i should spray it a little more. then boom i was walking like a maneater in the school hallways lmao. anyway my point is, it is a VERY calming, attractive perfume but if ur not a big fan of too sweet perfumes then it may make u feel a bit nauseous because the only thing u can smell is caramel after a while.

lavieparfum_44928

Ive had this for a few months now. Lighter than expected, its sort of powdery - orange blossom is very prominent, with a little bit of caramel/marshmallow sweetness on drydown. Sillage is not great so I like this for every day occasions. Not sure Id wear it on a date, it comes across innocent rather than seductive. Its almost like if Love dont be shy had a baby sister. For me this is definitely restricted to spring and maybe winter months. Im curious to try the Poison Girl edp now. 🌸

Jenelynn

I would be in love with this if it weren't for the play doh smell I can smell in it ugg... Nobody wants to smell like they were rolling in play doh

clairesque

I love this fragrance, even more than the EDP, but sadly it is extremely weak. No projection and it barely lasts 2 hours on skin. Compared to the EDP this feels less heavy, less cloyingly sweet, and the citrus notes aren't as harsh. It's a lovely sweet powdery floral that is cozy for cold weather and a little sexy. Very feminine and could work for many ages/occasions.

Bombalurina

Very sad, to discontinue the original poison girl just for this to stand in its place

slavka.filipova

I love this perfume! I want them all poison girl flankers! It’s strange but I smell something very similar Alien Essence Absolue witch I adore! The moment I sprayed this I thought I know this perfume! It’s long lasting on me and I like it, I found tester bottle and it’s on very very good price!

nessa_arroyo

Update: now that I've worn it more, I'm rating this a little lower than originally. The dry down starts to feel a little too mature for my taste and even gets a minor Play-Doh feel to it after some time, which I hated with both Hypnotic Poisons. The Play-Doh is pretty minor, but my nose is sensitive to it so I can detect it. It's gotten a little cloying over time as I've worn it more. Such a shame. May have to sell my bottle.

Original: What a pretty fragrance. Love the citrus opening and that the citrus still is present on the dry down. It just gets warmer as it mixes with the vanilla and caramel. What a shame that it does not last. I don't think I'll go for the EDP because it has almond in the base and I've found for me, vanilla and almond tend to create a Play-Doh type smell that I can't stand like with Hypnotic Poison. I'll probably still get a full bottle of this since it's such an easy every day fragrance but shame it doesn't last more than a few hours. Didn't love it but it is nice enough to get a bottle.

seliko

when people said orange popsickle, they meant it. vibrant citrusy opening turning into orange candy. high school type of young, citrusy floral on my skin. actually, might still be hanging out in the playground. i enjoyed her much more after the orange slushie scent settled. enjoyable and light for summer but not so sure at the moment since it’s pretty chilly. i’m enjoying it though, hopefully on my skin it lasts good enough! apparently on some people it’s beast mode while on some it disappears immediately. need to update depending on its lasting power throughout the night.

edit: in winter, it only lasted two hours before disappearing completely. in spring, 3+ hours

LemonLane

Y’all..This is gorgeous. Reminds me of the original Mon Guerlain. It truly is beautiful. Alas, It lasts for 15 minutes. After an hour you can’t even smell it if you press your nose to skin. Gonna try the EDP if I can find it for a good price.

Pearl Sound

I almost bought this because I love the bottle sooo much.💜 And I love the original Poison. But this scent is only a "nice" for me, a 6/10. Smells a bit cheaper than it is in my opinion.

stardenise16

Before I enjoyed the EDP, I first enjoyed the EDT. I fell in love with Poison Girl after one sniff at Sephora. I finally got a bottle to give myself for Valentine’s Day. I will always love it.

jennyvie

I bought a decant of the EDP and fell in love with the dry down as it smells like marshmallow on my skin (not a huge fan of the opening which smells like cream soda/root beer lol)...and then I bought a full bottle of the EDT by accident. Opening is way lighter than the edp but the dry down is really similar to EDP. I love it and wear it during the daytime and I still get whiffs of it after 8 hours or so. I understand why this would be overpowering but the EDT is definitely a lighter version. I would ignore Poison Girl altogether if it wasn't for the dry down.

Ella_22

Since Poison Girl EDP is my favourite perfume of all time, I of course had to try the EDT. I had smelled it a couple of times in stores before buying my beloved Poison Girl EDP but I decided to go with the EDP as my first buy of the line because of the depth the wonderful vanilla and the intensity. EDP has that zesty bitter orange but I wouldn’t compare it to an orange creamsicle. EDP is deep and sultry, but well balanced because of the orange. Poison Girl EDT definitely smells like an orange creamsicle in the opening. The orange in EDT is sweeter and more prominent. In the dry down however I find Poison Girl EDT and EDP to be very similar. Maybe EDT has a little more caramel, whereas EDP focusses on the vanilla. I love them both: EDT as a more versatile everyday scent and EDP as a deep and sexy date night / going out scent. Unlike the many reviews that say this fragrance doesn’t last, I find the lasting power acceptable for an EDT. It’s no Mugler Angel EDT (which lasts +12h on me) but I do get a good 4-6 hours out of it and I usually reapply during the day, no matter what fragrance I’m wearing. (Those little travel atomisers from AliExpress are my best friends)

Cloelles

Smells like women´s bathroom in a club.

Sweep

I finally bit the bullet and jumped on the poison girl bandwagon. For over a year I've been hesitant about buying a bottle. The problem was I was constantly testing the edp, trying to decide if I liked or loved it and wasn't bothering with the edt. I think my initial feeling for the edt was meh. I finally retested the edt when I got a craving for a summer gourmand and WELL! That frosted orange note at the top hooked me so fast. Also the fact that I don't consider it a heavy scent makes it perfect for hot, humid days when you want to smell sweet but not over powering. Yes, I find its longevity on the weaker side because of this but that's ok! I got the cute as a button 30ml which fits easily in my handbag if I want to reapply. Just goes to show that revisiting a perfume pays off because you never know when one will suddenly sweep you off your feet.

Catnipple

This and the EDP smell so identical but this one is slightly citrusy but the EDP lasts WAY longer and has amazing sillage so in my opinion i recommend the EDP, it's much better for your wallet to wear something that actually lasts!

Snowflake8000

I got a sample of this. I prefer Armani Code in this category of fragrances.

Kroko

Better than poison girl edp, because it is lighter, sparklier, not so sickly bitter. Very similar to poison girl unexpected, but with better longevity. For me its a winner for the poison girl collection.

Duracella

I have tried it a few times when I went shopping, and I love the dried down scent.
However, unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the top notes. HUGE MISTAKE.
So I purchased 100 ml and realized the sharp and bitter top notes are overpowering (only one spritz) and they last for hours. Sorry about the negativity about citrus -it just doesn't work well on my skin.
The first hours are really bad, but afterwards the scent is absolutely wonderful and it lasts all day. Excellent longevity.
If you know a perfume with similar scent to the dry down, please message me <3

I want to sell or swap this asap.

UPDATE 1 month later
I found help in colognoisseur's blog:
"So if you’ve refrained from rubbing your wrists together because you think you're abusing the poor molecules in your perfume don’t worry they are fine. The only thing you do when you rub your wrists together is alter the evaporation profile in favor of the lower vapor pressure components. Which if you aren’t fond of the top notes of a particular fragrance might be a benefit."
A bit of rubbing weakens the citrus and now I love this perfume <3

Tomadeupjazz

Smelled this in Sephora, loved it as soon as it hit my wrists. It was amazing 🥰. Didn't buy it that same day and then a week later had trouble remembering if it was the EDP or EDT I had tested. Turns out it was the EDT so I wanted to go with the one I was familiar with, even though many people told me the longevity isn't great WHATSOEVER. I got my fragrance home and was very happy with her, the scent was great as I remembered. Nice bright citrus opening, not lemony but a nice orangey twang (I don't get a sour lemon note 😋) an older more outdoorsy rose scent (coming from the house of Dior I expect that instead of a super modern sweet rose) and then a really nice wrap up of a warm and cozy sweet tonka, vanilla, caramel, cashmere dry down. *chefs kiss* Beautiful scent, smells mature but not old and outdated, smells sweet but not syrupy and juvenile, smells floral but not powdery and funeral home (y'all know I don't like that). Overall the scent itself was mastered beautifullyt, a work of art from the house of Dior. The longevity, I have to do the most to get this to stick. Moisturize the hell out of my skin, apply vaseline or an oil, overspray on body and clothes TWICE before leaving the house. I wish the longevity was extended, because I heard the EDP isn't the same scent. I have a big 3.4oz so I will for sure enjoy it, and repurchase in a heart beat, if I don't get sick of it. Loving it for fall and winter.

scnofthcrime

At first application I get sweetened orange, very quickly that gives way to a sweet tonka bean, cashmeran, and vanilla. Almond isn't a listed note, but I get a strong almond note from this too. I smell an accent of orange blossom in this to lift the composition slightly, but overall this is a heavy syrupy scent on me. Very sweet and resinous. I agree that it smells a tad artificial. Overall if you tend to like sweet woods or sweet patchouli type fragrances (i.e. Black Opium, Flowerbomb, La Vie Est Belle) you might like this. Lasting power on me is ok, 4-ish hours on skin, better on fabric. Not all that original, and nothing I would consider a masterpiece, but it's nice.

Lovetolove

Overpriced, synthetic, vanilla and lemon cake. Does not project well.

fgamz

I like this much better than the original EDP.

This has more complexity due to the citrus opening and it balances the caramel notes. I did find the original smelt more "girlish" so to say, more for a younger, or young in heart profile. The EDT is more for a serious type of profile, not too sweet, not too heavy, it's nicely balanced. I don't find the sillage of this to be too big but I sprayed this around a bracelet and I only just wore the bracelet now after 3 weeks and I can still smell it on it! Yeah! It's crazy. I do think this needs to be a "try before you buy". I definitely see myself wearing this around winter time.

Chrysi 🌸

I'm so disappointed by this perfume... And I'll tell you why. The smell is very nice, you can detect the orange and the caramel easily. It reminds me of Scandal by JPG. They have many similarities. I had a 5ml tester bottle to test and at first I thought that they sent me Scandal by accident. Good for fall and winter, day and night. But... It doesn't last at all! In fact, it lasts for 30 minutes max. Don't buy it cause it's a waste of money really. Buy the EDP version instead cause it lasts longer and they are almost the same perfume, except the EDP has more depth I may say.

Hannehoney

I love this! It opens with a fresh orange, then turns into a sweet caramel vanilla tonkabean. I wore this last winter when I was out Christmas shopping and the weather was cold, and it smelled so good! I dont know why but this reminds me of Christmas :) Its warm and comforting. Some people say it doesnt last long, but on me it lasted about 6 h and I sprayed 4 spritzes. This will forever be in my collection :)

clairesque

Impression from a paper strip: This is quite a bit more powdery than I expected! Contrary to the name I almost feel like this smells more "grown-up" than Hypnotic Poison. It's a delectable creamy, nutty vanilla but with enough florals and a soft powderiness to keep it from going TOO food-like. I'll be getting a decant of this one!

aryif

Citrusy cough syrup. I can't even sniff it without gagging, however, every time I wear it my man acts like a kitty on catnip so can't even get rid of it. I layer it with Black Opium Extreme since they have a similar dry down and the coffee and dark chocolate tones down the sweetness of this perfume. Other successful layering combos were with Black Phantom and Good Girl.

Millapetrovich

This one was a successful blind buy for me! It's gorgeous and sexy!
First, you get the citrus punch of the oranges for the first 5 minutes, then it turns into a vanilla/caramel/orange blossom scent. Perfect for fall/winter, I'm in love!

Update: the dry down smells similar to Black Opium, which I love.

sukibuzi

This scent is absolutely gorgeous, and for a non-citrus scent lover, I don’t mind the orangey opening on this one. It’s sweet, delicious, and not too juvenile. However, as many others have said, the longevity is truly non-existent. I am baffled by it and have already decided not to repurchase because of that. I wondered if it was my skin eating it up, so I’ve tried spraying on my clothes - not much better - then tried moisturizing my skin with unscented body oil then spraying - also not much better. This is truly an intimate fragrance and so I might only use it for bed or layering. I wonder if the EDP is better, but I heard the notes are pretty different.

MimesOtto

I don't get the rose from this scent, it is sweet dense fragrance ( liquorice is notable) good for cold weather imo. Good performance for an EDT, don't overspray, it is quite powerful, less is more with this one. Not a repurchase as I am no longer fond of sweet scents of this kind ( i.e. liquorichy types)

MrAbbas

Much better than the EDP. This I find it sexier, softer and more flirty and without the annoying almond note that I found in the EDP. It is an intimate fragrance but still highly priced for such a perfume. I layer it on top of Tom Ford Black Orchid.... smells very nice.

vanillaorchid

Finally tried this, yet to try the EDP. I own a very cheap perfume by Jeanne Arthes that is said to resemble Poison Girl, and wow, they are similar. On the other hand, price is nothing alike. I fear for the longevity on this one based on numerous accounts so it might be overpriced juice considering that factor. Performance aside, this is such an interesting scent. A tad sweet, but mostly a bitter almond with a hint of citrus. Not cloying, not offensive, mature enough. Very balanced! I'm satisfied with my dupe, but I wouldn't think twice before recommending this scent.

ELR

Sweet floral orange scent that is simultaneously dense and bright. Great for any time of year/occasion and because of that, signature scent worthy. The only problem is, as others have said, the longevity on this is NON EXISTENT.
I don't mind a good EDT or a citrus scent that I have to re-apply during the day but this is truly gone within 10 minutes; 5 if you only spray your skin.
I made sure by spraying this heavily on skin/clothes then asking 10 minutes later if my husband smelled anything and he said flat out no (even when pressing his nose against my wrist) - so it is not just me becoming quickly anosmic :(
Sad that companies continue to water down and upcharge products as if consumers are stupid and won't catch on. I even noticed on Dior's website this week that the prices on many of the fragrances have gone up 5-10$ overnight.

KatGal

I love this eau de toilette!! It smells delicious, like oranges and figs!! Fresh and warm at the same time, I can't get enough of the smell!! I just wish the projection was greater!!

Fabienne LDLZR

Really similar to Amor Amor by Cacharel.

Mariamaija Amélie

Maybe my skin just eats perfumes up, I don't know, but Poison Girl EDT evaporates almost as quickly as a considerable amount of money evaporated from my account when I paid for it. It isn't popular critisising perfumes, I know, but this is my personal experience with this perfume, none the less.

I will let the plum coloured drops of Poison Girl edt rain sweet and generously on me until its all gone and make the best of it, because I really do ADORE the first blast of sweet orange and the short lived caramelly and ambery sweetness in the drydown in this one. Don't let the Girl in the Poison Girl fool you; I truly don't perceive this a "girly scent" just because of its sweetness. To me this scent still represents some matureness and sensuality in what I am able to detect for too short a while. So despite some considerate frustration, when it comes to performance, I think this a wonderful scent, but I will definately not repurchase for the reasons listed above inbetween the praise.

01/31/22
Am wearing it today. So delicious, but being reminded of the longevity - or rather the lack of it - is simply frustrating. It is such a discrace considering the price. A total, shameless rip off form the house of Dior. Don't bother purchasing this. Buy the EDP. It is a little better as performance goes, and the difference is that the EDP is somewhat more dense and heavier. I am going to be spraying away this one, just to get it out of the way.

Lorealdonae

If you're into layering, this is A MUST HAVE! Literally, this fragrance will take any of your favorite winter scents to the next level! I personally like the EDT better than the EDP and I will say, this scent isn't like most EDT's, this one lasts ALL DAY LONG! It's so creamy and sweet, I get chocolate covered cherries with this, idk if it's the bottle that gives me this vibe or the scent.

Bouquet Bleu

Very alcoholic opening . *coughs* Rather a cologne, the blend is fine for a daytime fresh edt with an inoffensive tonka-vanilla drydown but after knowing 90's Poison this is a joke. Not worth the money imo.

juliakatdavis

My favorite of the poison line. The others smell really heavy and mature on me… almost musty. But poison girl EDT is much lighter and more wearable. It’s a crowd-pleaser but also unique. Not my favorite fragrance ever, but it’s good to have on rotation.

gands

Yes, this is orange and citrus upon initial spray! But it doesn't last long): It does however smell like a delicious powdery gourmand and it's a little different than a lot of the other gourmands in my collection and have smelled. Now onto my actual realization... if Miss Dior EDP 2017 and Lolitaland by Lolita Lempicka had a baby it would be this!! Lolitaland for the first few minutes and then it lingers in the background, while Miss Dior somehow comes into play and is very loud. Whatever Christian Dior uses in his fragrances it overpowers and smells good af! Definitely buy this and honestly all other CD perfumes they smell so good <3<3<3
xoxo S

starlightsteward

A very creamy-fresh opening, reminiscent of fresh orange juice in a vanilla buttercream. The rose is a bridge to the heady almond/tonka base. A very rounded fragrance that conjures images of a rosewater marzipan, orange oil, and spilled vanilla.

kalicat123

I really expected to like this a lot because I usually really love citrus perfumes but this one was kinda nauseating and I pretty much hated it haha. After a few hours though it turned super vanilla and delicious but like the first 2-3 hours sucked. I went to bed after spraining it at like 9 and I could still smell the yummy vanilla caramel on my skin in the morning super faintly. I feel like this is also for like someone in their late 20s to 30s so maybe thats why I don't like it cause I'm a bit younger

Phantomias

PG edt is very sweet with a hint of dried orange peel. The fragrance has modest sillage and lasting power, quite unlike the original Poison. I bought a small sample which is more than enough. The Poison flankers I have tried have been disappointing in different ways. I'm not a big fan of the original P but hoped to find a nice flanker.

electric_evelyn

I really wanted to like this. Nice bottle, quality atomizer - the kind that sprays a mist.

It is a nice caramel and vanilla, but sadly that’s all I’m getting. And it’s gone after an hour, even if on clothes. The combination is just delicious, if only it lasted.

Had the same performance problem with Miss Dior edt.

Feels more like a Eau de Cologne. I can’t get much out of Black Opium or Alien either. But maybe it’s just my chemistry. Only La vie est Belle hits me and stays there.

eausomaureen

Reminds me of a creamy citrus soda but with a hint of floral. Definitely smells more mature yet sweet. I can picture someone in their late 20's to 30's wearing this, not a teenager. Within the first spray I can smell the citrus but it's heavy on the vanilla and caramel once it dries down. It is an EDT so longevity is shorter than I'd expect. However, it lasts a lot longer than my other EDT's, about 4 hours whereas the others are 2-3 hours. Projection is strong because of the vanilla and caramel so I would not overspray this. I give this 5/10, since I am not a huge fan of caramel but I can see someone who likes these notes enjoy this scent.

stefani valini

This scent smells really good, yet mature. It is very very sweet, the orange comes to sweeten it. I love it but unfortunately it is not me. Its a little bit too "dark" and linear to me, it miss some spices, but its pretty.
Update
I layered this fragrance with Yes I am from Casharel and it smell SO GOOD!!!

Twilitnights

I'd wear this in the fall/winter casually during the day. Not a huge fan of the bitter orange scent when it's initially sprayed, but I like the dry down of vanilla/caramel/tonka. Very warm creamy comforting scent, great for every day wear

Ladygugu

I can't smell anything. I've been spraying this for the last day and I can't quite get this perfume. I want to say that I almost 'like' it for what it projects, but it's such a basic and light perfume, you can hardly smell it, it's almost like it doesn't have an identity. I wouldn't recommend this perfume. It's 'nice' if you know what I mean, but even that's being too generous.

lala-jaenner

2016 I wrote a very bad review about Poison Girl (eau de parfum). Last Christmas I was gifted a bottle of Poison Girl eau de toilette and what should I say, I don't know if it is because it's been a gift but I'm wearing it every day and enjoy it so much. I was almost ashamed of how much I like it at first LOL

It reminds me of my beloved but long gone Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle. I find it quite sexy. It's sweet but also somehow complex and not dumb like the one I smelled back 2016. Or maybe it's just me who's changed. I would buy it again if I hadn't too many perfumes already and many more that I still want to try.

To the notes: I smell the agrumes in the opening and the flowers in the heart, which I all find very beautiful. I don't like the caramel note but it appears after many hours so it doesn't disturb me very much. I feel like they have substituted the white musk in Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle with the cashmeran, which I find an excellent idea. I really like this perfume.

RRHouse

A fantastic floral gourmand fragrance with good performance for an EDT. She opens with sweet juicy frosted orange, a lovely sensual rose and fresh honey-ish neroli. It’s pleasant, not offensive at all, even at the first moment you spray it. After dry down, this gets even better with a powdery note from heliotope, vanilla and tonka cloak everything with yummy warm creaminess. I want to bathe in this. It has depth, it’s interesting, sensual, confident, friendly, warm and sexy. I have gotten complements very time I've worn this fragrance.
Compliments: 10/10
Rating: 9/10.
Projection: 7/10; Silage: 7/10; Application: 5 atomizations; Performance: 9/10.
Gender: Female; Ages: 19+
Blind-Buy: If you like gourmand floral fragrances, yes.

KylieBooFace

This is a good gourmand scent. I could not find the EDP at a reasonable price, so I tried the EDT. I swear I pink pepper somewhere in there. I definitely detect the almond and orange notes. I am excited to see how it dries down. So far, this is how I wanted Azzaro Wanted Girl to smell if that makes sense.

ETA: This has a similar "feel" to my nose as La Nuit Tresor a la Folie (love) but with citrus and almond and less creamy vanilla.

ETA 2: Moved this to "love." I love the sweet frosted orange plus flower plus almond cake combo. I find myself literally craving the orange cake feel sometimes.

Tropicat28

Weird powdery smell until the dry down and then it is non existent. I usually don’t complain about longevity if it last at least 3/4 hours but after that it is completely gone with out a trace, not even a skin scent. It does have a great smelling dry down. This version should have been discontinued not the Edp.

MaxieF

No it doesn't project and yes it does perform as an EDT, BUT it's not as bad as everyone has said it is. It lasts a few hours on clothes and it smells absolutely amazing. Doesnt last on the skin, as most EDTs don't.

The EDP is a different scent. EDP is heavier on the almond and really dense. Almost burns. I prefer the EDT scent but I like having both.

This EDT smells like a slightly powdery, slightly spicy, orange dream pillow. And the sprayer is incredible. This is the bomb. It's perfect for summer and it's worth having both for the seasons. Just get it. And don't get rid of it because you will most definitely re buy it at some point.

aeanian

I have the rollerball version which is 20 ml I believe. I must say I love it. It's very handy to carry around. So I can't speak much of the original bottle with the bigger ml, since I don't have it. It looks simple, nothing special. The scent is very, very nice. On me it's fruity and sweet. I don't smell much florals or citrus. It's rather some sweet fruit like a strawberry, even thought there is none in the notes. It reminds me a lot of La nuit tresor, but it's more sweet, less complicated, less long lasting. It's like a light version of the L'ancome diamond. But I love it. I truly do. On me it lasts around 2-3 hours, maybe a bit more.

jedrzejowskia

This is not bad but so are the perfumes that are sold in Primark and Action. This smells like a 5-10eur cheapie.
If i was to be really kind to it I might say it smells like a celebrity scent from about 10-15 years back. I really dont mind cheap perfumes nor celebrity scent but this costs an arm and a leg for what it is. Well it is a Dior.... so I guess someone needs to pay for the brand.
edited to add, it also gave me a rash. I have vintages and I have cheapies from Primark. Very very few perfumes give me rashes.
Edit 2. Lol, i now see i reviewed it in 2016, with very similar words. Not sure if should remove my second review :) sure if it gets downvoted it will dissappear. I stand by it though. Still dissapointed Dior discoed fab smells, reformulated others to death and keep releasing mediocre, cheap smelling expensies.

poppyetpear

This doesn't smell terrible, but is anyone else getting musky play-doh? Juliet Has a Gun Mmmm and Rebecca Minkoff give me that play-doh smell too. Kinda odd. I need to compare the notes for these to figure out if they have anything in common. I don't think this one is for me.

Edit: 11 hours later - Y'all! Listen up, ok? This morning this was outside in the cold. Brought my parcels in and about 15 minutes later I opened them up and got to testing...they were still cold, ok...
Here I am 11 hours later and yes, honey😍😍
This shit right here! You hear me?? Omg, smells similar to Black Opium Nuit Blanche, which I love, but Poison Girl is so much better imo. This is beautiful and and sweet and delicious. I'm about to take a chomp outta my arm. My husband was like, yes ma'am...this shit right here.
I am in love! How can this be the same play-doh musk??
Let your parcel frags settle and warm to room temp. Don't be impatient like me cause you might miss out! I can't pick out the notes right now cause I'm high on this. It's def going in my top five.
Feeling delicious, may update later, probably not...this is pure love.

10/10 for me

T.03

Beautiful deep sexy scent

gardencat13

I’ve owned this for a while but only got around to reviewing it now. Maybe it took me awhile because it is neither a real, oh wow! scent or a scent I dislike. For me this is a pleasant, sweet, gourmand type scent.
I do not get a strong orange note or the creamsicle effect that others have mentioned. Right off the top I get a kind of fresh sweetness. If you tell me the freshness comes from orange I won’t argue but it’s not an obvious, recognizable orange like you get, for instance, at the start of Orange Sanguine.

I get vanilla and tonka, and a generalized sweetness with a mixed floral note. Can’t pick up any specific flowers, just a bouquet of various ones at a fairly faint level. It does remind me of Hypnotic Poison but without the strong root beer opening I get from that one (thank heavens). Wearing it is a pleasant experience without being a terribly memorable one.
Longevity and sillage I think are about average compared to other perfumes I own. It’s not going to fill a room, or linger on my skin for days, but neither does it disappear very quickly on me as other reviewers find it does for them.

Izzz

I blind bought it and It smells like soap to me😭

poptwinkles

I don’t get much scent or projection sadly. I regret purchasing the EDT but the EDP was sold out. I get better performance with body sprays from VS and Bath and Body works! I will be using this exclusively on hair and fabrics. It does smell lovely if you can smell anything above the alcohol! I get orange blossoms which I’m not sure I want to walk around smelling like! Similar to Dior Addict, I don’t like walking around smelling like oranges or orange blossoms, in a non-gourmand way. I’ll be giving this away.

kkaattjjeess

Something about Poison Girl EDT is a bit off to me, but I'm not exactly sure what. It was a blind buy, having hesitated between Edt and Edp, and this one having better reviews. I do have a tester of the Edp, and I like that one more.

To me it feels like the fresh citrus notes of this scent aren't in balance with the sweet/warm ones towards the base. The top notes (at this point it smells like orange flavoured chocolate) are a bit harsh for me, but it gets better as it settles.

Conclusion: should have bought the Edp.

magnifiscently22

My go-to scent. Can be worn anytime/anywhere to me. Flirty but not overwhelming. Doesn't last super long on the skin, but is better on clothes and definitely gets compliments. The orange at the top is really exquisite. The dry down is a nice almondy vanilla vibe. I have a dupe of the EDP from Armaf and without that citrus opening like in the EDT, I feel the EDP is missing something. Just perfect!

karaiss1

Poison Girl is a sexy and confident socialite. She is not bold, loud, or outspoken, but she is secure in herself and knows her worth. She thrives in the fall and winter -- fashionable with a penchant for long coats.

From the initial spray Poison Girl EDT smells like a sugary orange creamsicle. There's the chill of frosted orange that melts into something sweet and creamy as soon as it touches the skin. As it dries down the citrus note fades considerably and leaves behind a very sweet, vanilla caramel. To me, the drydown smells very similar to Black Opium but with the coffee note replaced by a hint of residual creamy orange.

Sillage is quite strong, longevity is 7-9 hrs on my skin.

Ccampbell

This fragrance is one of my favorites. It’s beautiful, seductive, classy, sexy, warm, sensual and cozy all in a bottle. This would be my holy grail for a winter scent but due to the longevity (after a couple of minutes I barely smell anything and it has to be extremely close so sillage is another issue) and price I refuse to buy again.

perfumeholic88

A sticky sweet fragrance made in the same style as the EDP and Unexpected versions, so you know what to expect, but the eau de toilette is more watered-down version of the two mentioned fragrances and has much worse parameters which actually don´t bother me so much becuse I´m not fan of this perfume and I sincerely hope the brand will stop continuing this Poison Girl line. A note of vanilla oranges sweetened with caramel, warmed with tonka and heliotrope with a very small dose of flowers which don´t play a big role here. It is not as sweet as Edp and Unexpected, but for me its sweetness is still unbearable. Besides, there is nothing special here, just such an ordinary fragrance, probably mainly for younger people, although I hate to categorize perfumes. This one doen´t suit me by any means. It is made for the lovers of the Poison Girl serie and only for them.

minizelda

the EDP reminds me of LVEB and i can’t stand it. The EDT version is way lighter and you can really smell all the notes. I would pick this one between the two! love!

rachellelopez1827

This perfume is gorgeous! It smells fruity and sweet, almost edible. The longevity and sillage are moderate on me. Men go crazy over this one.

If anyone wants to trade for another Dior message me please, I would love to do so!

Mel8

To me it smells exactly like girl of now shine, and I couldn’t stand that one...it smells like baby powder on me and I don’t smell any citrus or caramel or vanilla:(

It’s a few months later now and I have to addmit that it grew on me😊To me it smells like a slightly sweet orange marshmallow on the skin,i really enjoy that, perfect for the spring and summertime 😍

MeanSuga

I was torn while contemplating the purchase of Poison Girl.
I`ve heard the wonderfuls of the scent, the comments of it being generic , the eye rolls of the campaign , the cheers of it`s longevity, and the jeers of it pulling disappearing acts. Being a Dior house lover, and great experience with the original Poison EDT for 3 decades, I took the plunge... or rather, a dip :/
I shopped Ulta , and Ulta only offered EDT, otherwise I would`ve went full force on an EDP, but the EDT of the original had been so powerful, so wth right ? Go for it.
First spritzings deeelight-FULL ! Frozen orange creamsicle drizzled with caramel and vanilla, garnished with jasmine and heliotrope , PG gave me everything , indulged me, WOW`ed me ! She pulled it all out .
You go Girl !
A few moments later she took it back.
Left me with nothing. Not on my skin, not on my clothing. Gone, without a trace.
I felt so betrayed , why come on so strong, and then turn your back, behave like the cheapest body mist ever? I mean, she did not have that kind of vibe going on me ... It was top notch high end quality notes, left with 0 longevity. I do`nt get it, as my skin rarely, that I can even remember. drinks in all of the scent.
Usually any scent at all will come out with steam of the next shower, but ol Girl vanished without any trace. I have sprayed with abandon, hoping my husband would catch a whiff as he loves the sweeties , and gourmands on me , and he never made comment .
I still have a longing . I will test Posion Girl in EDP form the first chance I get . I will continue to use up what I do have of the EDT , if only for the fleeting thrill.

lovelee8

I can't believe I am just now discovering this. I have avoided the Poison range since the nineties. The sample I have is the EDT and I have never tried the EDP.

This is a wonderful sweet and warm scent. Comforting sweet, not cloying. I'm not getting as much of the orange as other people seem to be. I'm getting a little bit of the rose. It's a great fall/winter scent and I just ordered the roller-pearl size from the Dior website.

Nicronomicon

I just bought the last bottle of this in my local Ulta store and it isn't showing in their online store anymore. Sephora still has the 1 oz online, and a few third party outlets have it (see my EDP PSA, I really hope I am wrong).

Here is the review, as I order another bottle online. I love this. It isn't as dense as the EDP, but is still beautiful. To my nose, this is orange creamsicle with a sweet and warm base. I believe the tonka bean keeps it from going too sweet. I personally cannot smell any of the flowers in this, just the citrus/vanilla/caramel/tonka bean group. I don't care. I love it. I can spray a bit more liberally with this than with the EDP and smell delicious all day without smelling like I accidentally Harley Quinn'd into a vat of cotton candy. It's yum, it's quirky, and it's definitely not juvenile. Longevity is impressive for an EDT, as it is still going strong 5 hours later. TLA.

Heathrfeathr

I debated on sharing this because it’s my secret weapon.....but I layer poison girl edt on top of Jessica Simpson Fancy and it is FIRE. If your goal is to stop a man in his tracks....you can borrow my secret weapon :)

AMajeedQT

Orangish Vanilla.

Poison Girl EDT is all about the vanilla. It is smooth, sweet and sweetened further with caramel, and a bright orange zest is added on top to make it cheerful and "girly".

A gourmand delight.

It is very likeable, however those who do not like sweet or gourmand scent are probably going to dislike this.

A versatile, all-seasons wear for the youngish crowd. I'd advise consideration before wearing it during really hot days.

Big "Like".

AmTheLastUnicrn

I'm 37 and I love this. I don't smell the citrus at all. I smell vanilla, tonka, some floral, I have no idea which one and light cashmere. I swear my mind is playing tricks on me because I smell almond. This is just very creamy, floral, sweet vanilla and I love it.

Rozalina

Smell is decent, like a creamy orange liqueur. But this doesn’t last at all. The EDP is a bit more dense and cake-like than this EDT and has better lasting power even though I don’t care for that either.

Whify

This smells exactly like Poison Girl Unexpected, without the ginger. I love the former and I love this. A gorgeous sweet scent that you can wear any time, day or night, and any season. The only downside is the low sillage and longevity, but that seems to be a trend with scents these days.

reymax

I love this, bought blind. I love fruity florals and this is right up my alley. I'm 50 so not the demographic on the bottle perhaps, but this fragrance can be worn anytime of the day or night. Preferred the edt to the edp - it morphed a little into Mon Guerlain.
Beautiful.

RachelDesiree

The perfume is just lovely. This is a night time date perfume. I dont think it will everrrr beat out marc jacobs but this is delicious and just enough sweet, bergamot, sexy and slight spice.

temo

Thank you Dior. Just another masterpiece. My original reaction to this when it first came out was “I must have this.” Home it came with me but I didn’t really give it the attention it deserved. Time passes. One rainy Sunday I pick it up and rediscover it again. Oh Poison Girl, WHY have I ignored you? There are fragments of every Dior fragrance I have adored throughout the years in this! A nod to Hypnotic, a touch of Addict, yes even the Poison original from 1985. Unmistakable Dior DNA! It’s all in there! I’ve been foolish to take this one for granted. Don’t love the name, but the juice is everything it should be.

Fuchsianlavender

I got a sample of this, I sniffed the sample card and I didn't spray it yet but I can smell it already. This is the only perfume that I imagine if I am perfumer and I want to make ultimate perfume, the perfume will smell exactly like this. I heard there is someone said it smells like orange marshmallow, that is really precise, it is citrusy but more to orange, it is caramel sweet and quite powdery that make it smells fluffy but still have some depth. I am actually not a fan of citrus accord in perfume but this perfume is more sweet than citrus so there is no problem. I have oily skin, I can smell it after 10 hours, I sprayed it on my hair and my neck. Sillage is moderate.

I feel like every woman who love sweet/gourmand perfume will absolutely love/like this. I don't recommend this to people who can't stand sweet perfumes. What's the point people who don't like sweet perfumes but still want to try it because other people rave about it and at the end they bad mouth about it because it just doesn't suit their personal taste. And people like me who love sweet perfumes and always blind buy got confused reading mixed reviews whether certain perfumes are good or not. From now on, I won't trust negative reviews made by floral or fresh perfume lovers on sweet perfume reviews.

DarlingNikki

I got my hands on a sample of this out of curiosity and my world is a little shaken right now, in a good way, lol. This smells like someone poured Scandal, Lady Million Lucky, and BonBon into a vat, let it simmer for a while, and then bottled it and called it Poison Girl EDT. I know there isn't honey in here, but the dry down smells strongly 'honeyed' like Scandal and Lady Million Lucky (although LML is softer, powdery honey) and then I get a distinct caramel sweetness like BonBon mixed with orange/vanilla notes. It sounds like it would be a hot mess and for some, it probably smells like it lol, but to my nose, this is actually pleasing. I have to test it on my skin to make a final verdict, of course, but I do see at least a well-priced 10ml in my future!

EDIT: Tried this on my skin and wowzers! This is some sexy stuff! Dries down to a beautiful musk mixed with just the right amount of tangy orange and sweet vanilla. Definitely a playful, flirty fragrance that would be perfect for a first date on a boardwalk (when we get back to 'normal') or any other outside venue where it could shine in warm temperatures.

I usually rate perfumes within 24 hours of the first spray. I've owned this perfume for a year now and haven't done a review until now because.....well.....I just didn't know how I felt about it.....

I've worn it probably 15 times (mostly in the colder months). I bought it blind because of all the crazy awesome reviews. The truth is, I so wanted to love this frag and I was totally expecting to. When I sprayed it the first time I was kindof surprised because it doesn't seem "young" to me. The heaviness of the tonka bean makes it seem as though it was made for a mature audience. I didn't hate it, but didn't really love it.....but I kept telling myself that I loved it because hating it must've meant that I have crappy taste.

If I reached for it it was because I forced myself to.

After buying other frags that I really love I finally decided to make all my friends (male and female) and family smell it for their opinion and literally everyone hated it (except my mom, who loved it). So I gave myself permission to just "let it go." ....but keep in mind, my people are not frag-enthusiasts, they're not "fancy", and they're not clubbers.

I had to share my experience with someone who, like me, can't stand overly sweet, sticky scents.

This smells like any other overly sweet mainstream perfume. Well, it is mainstream. I don't find it interesting at all. All I smell is sweetness. It's just flat to me. I like sweet scents that have layers. But not like this in your face sweetness that strangles you and you need to drink a glass of water. Maybe it would show its depth in a very cold climate (which is unlikely), but since it doesn't get that cold here, it's a hard no for me.

kaya0101

I love this perfume! When I first tried it I dismissed it as a little mainstream and since I already had many sweet scents I didn't see the need to pick this up. However, I keep coming back to this scent. Even though it's in no way innovative, it's one of the best designer fruity gourmands and I consider it one of my easy reaches. The orange combined with the tonka, vanilla and almond just makes this bright, cozy, and very delicious. Almond tends to overwhelm me sometimes, but this one has the perfect amount. I can't overspray this, since this is quite sweet and could potentially give me a headache. I love wearing this in the spring, fall and winter. It's def worth a try.

KittyDeBeauvoir

Orange Marshmallow Game-Changer!

I initially bought this partly because I smelt a "licorice" note (Spoiler Alert: There is no licorice note), but mostly because I wanted to convince myself that not all Poison-range perfumes are awful on me.

I wore this on my birthday (i.e. the next day) out to a lovely French degustation dinner with my glorious husband, and...yeah... drowned myself in it.
I was initially unsure about the *strong* citrus note. That lemon, bitter orange, and frozen orange isn't shy.
My conclusion today? Frozen orange is fascinating!
This is somehow cold AND warm/cozy. That combination of frozen orange and vanilla is striking and enveloping! Mmmm! *smacks lips*

It's not offensive like original Poison (sorry to the fans), not "mature"; yet not girly. A confident woman who wants to have fun wears this.
For an EDT, I'm impressed with longevity and sillage. I can smell this on me easily and for hours. Never tried the EDP, but I hear they're quite different. For now, I'm very happy with this unique number in my collection.

Try it. You might get an expensive French dinner out of wearing this... :P

Kitty rating: 8.5/10.
Hubby rating: 6.5/10 ("Smells like caramel". Impressive nose today!)

crystalistheone

Let me start off by saying that this perfume does smell lovely. The longevity and the projection of this perfume is terrible. I do not regret buying this because I love the smell but I wish they could reformulate it to have better performance.I give the smell of the scent nine out of 10 the longevity two out of 10 the projection three out of 10.

JolieSucre

Ugh. Blind buy, everyone on YouTube was raving about this so i bought it without thinking.
It's sweet and floral but not very youthful, not special at all. It is completely different from the usual Poison DNA, it hasn't retained anything, it has had the essence replaced with some granny-like strand + some sugar + faint flowers. I cannot name the flowery mark - probably patchouli? I have no clue, it's a grandma floral. Carnations?

A faint tang of raspberry/something like jam/maybe rose jam?

My biggest issue is that it doesn't last AT ALL. It disappears within a few minutes, i honestly don't understand how. Before I even got a chance to see what it performs like, it vanished. It's also very expensive so it's 100% buyer's remorse for me. Wish i had never purchased it.

aldinatic

better then the edp and no almond thank god :) :D even it says "girl" its for confident mature women :) the bottle is not my favourite but its important whats inside, so I dont care :)
It is like orange-marshmallow, the frozen orange is beautiful !!! the vibe is indeed licorice ! loves it !

Ana81

I like it but it's weak, no lasting power no matter how much I spray. On clothing it's only detectable when you bring the item up to your nose. Just buy the perfume, it will last on skin a little and you'll be able to enjoy whiffs of it.

tiptoeingtheworld

It took awhile for me to finally decide buying Dior Poison. I first tried Poison girl EDP, I died instantly! Overly sweet, like syrup. Poison girl EDT, however, I slowly like and growing to love it.

Poison girl EDT is light, can be worn all day long and does not give me headache. The first note: citrus, comes up strong but gone rather quickly. The vanilla, sweet, almost like caramel candy come next and stay on my skin for 4 hours.

Sadly this perfume does not last more than 4 hours on my skin, typical EDT. I have to reapply the perfume after.

disintigratedwoman

Ignored this one for a long time due to its name/bottle colour.. seemed like it would be a super sweet, 'basic' party frag for a below-20s audience. But then I kept hearing and reading about how well-done it was and it grabbed my attention, so I finally requested a sample from Sephora yesterday to try it on my skin.

And in all, I really, really like it! Not crazy about the opening so much - I get a strong, sweet burst of candy and orange peel. But then it settles into a warm, fuzzy tonka/vanilla/almond base (still not exactly sure what tonka smells like, but it must be this).. and it's so delicious, not overly sweet either. It's developing really nicely on my skin and projecting a cozy sillage the more time goes on. The vanilla in the drydown actually reminds me a tad of Lancome's Hypnose, and the almond note of L'Occitane's almond body cream. I also feel that if you like Armani Code Cashmere, you would like this - it has the same 'fuzzy' aspect in the drydown.

Not sure if this is something I'd buy, especially considering winter is coming to a close (and I def see this as more of a cold-weather scent), but it's lovely and I'll keep it in mind for the future. Hope to try the EDP sometime too, all I could find in stores was the EDT.

MahaS

I tested this out at an Ulta and fell in love with it. I purchased a 1.7 oz bottle, it's gorgeous and cute.

I sprayed it on to go to work and forgot about it. I don't know.... It just doesn't go well with my skin, it doesn't work. I have it available for swap if someone is interested I only used it on that occasion and sprayed it on once last week to give it a last chance.

Beautiful, just not for me!

justfloral

After spraying: spices(?) + citrus (I think bitter orange gives such a spiciness)
After 5 minutes: is it Hypnotic Poison? (powdered vanilla pudding beneath spices)
After 15 minutes: Hypnose Lancome! the same "stuffy" vanilla pudding with banana/anise + bubble gum note + plastic. It smells like Donald Bubble Gum (dutch bubble gum popular in eastern Europe two decades ago).
After 2 hours: it has changed, Hypnose and vanilla pudding are gone, now I can smell Donald Bubble Gum + undefinied spice + neroli.

Sirila

I love this. I first fell in love with Poison girl Unexpected over Christmas but as the winter is drawing to its end and I start looking forward to spring and lightness, the ginger and more intense gourmand notes became a bit too much. I find this one so bright and happy, with a playful edge to it. I find a bit of liquorice to it but not presented the dark and mature way as is mostly the case, but light and sweet. My casual go to late winter/starting to sense the spring.

arenee92

I knew I'd love this from reading the notes, but it did not last at ALL. Within minutes I was pressing my nose to my arm trying to find a trace of fragrance...back to the store it went. I will try to EDP.

titan07

I sprayed Poison Girl EDT in Sephora to try on my skin and ran back immediately to get it. It's truly one of my first loves in fragrance and a standard against which I compare all future purchases. Its so cozy and lovely that I can wear it at home reading a book, I can wear it to the office and even going out with friends. I recently wore Poison Girl to a work trip in Chicago in 30 degree weather and it made me feel warm and fuzzy in my coat.

The initial burst is full of citrus and almond notes, then it settles down on my skin with tonka bean and vanilla. I'm going to wear out this bottle, then try Dior FÈVE DÉLICIEUSE, which also has tonka beans, citrus and vanilla.

me.and.mrs.jones

WOW, This is an amazing scent. To my nose, this fragrance is sweet, fruity, citrus and amber and its a wonderful combination. It starts off with a citrus blast, smelling of sweet nectarines, then you begin to smell something of amber and perhaps vanilla. It is truly beautiful and one of my top faves. It is warm but also sweet and fresh smelling. I own this and cant wait to use this during the summer. I think it will be amazing on a warm summer day. The only problem is that the lasting power inst magnificent but for the scent I am willing to deal with that, which is another reason why I think its best suited for summer. Perhaps the warmth in the air temperature will make this stick to your skin longer.

jp2004

I love this!
It's perfuct for winter and summer. The edt is a bit lighter, than the edp, but still good. I like them both!

pjspaceshit

This winter's favorite of mine! I'm not a huge fan of the initial blast, which is very sharp and bitter citruses, but within half an hour it settles on my skin into a beautiful, not too sweet (which is important to me) oranges with caramel. Longevity and sillage are above average to me and I much prefer the EdT over EdP, which I find too mainstream and similar to YSL Black Opium, which I'm not a fan of due to it's extreme popularity and the fact that you can almost smell it in the streets.

What I'm trying to say is, that if you are into sweet gourmands, but also somehow tired of the mainstream ones (looking at you as well, LVEB, why are you everywhere?), this could be a more subtle option for you.

caracharaid

In love!
I can only afford designer perfumes to add to my collection if I find them second hand- well I'm in trouble when my bottle runs out because I'll be extremely tempted to pay full price if I can't if I can't find another second hand bottle because I've really fallen for this one!!
I just can't get enough of the orange smell that isn't citrusy and sharp but rather creamy and smooth like a creamsicle. The florals are subtle and the vanilla and tonka bean and almondy smell are very present. It is so smooth and blended smelling. I feel delicate and elegant like a ballerina when I wear this

lnoskin

This is a cult favorite and I was dying to try it. It was on my want list for a while and I just got a chance to test it. I honestly do not understand the fuss. It smells like powdery bubble gum to me. It is definitely not a scrubber and I would wear it out but nothing special enough to buy.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

This is so delicious. Citrus lemon tops and with the mid's to the base smelling like cherry almond but that is the Praline and Tonka that is doing that. This is so modern and gourmand sweet, but it's amazing. You have got to love gourmands and very sweet fragrances. But this Poison does not disappoint! I adore the Poison line. For an EDT it lasts about 4-6 hours on me and sillage is great. Way past arm's length. I will spray this liberally all over me it smells so good. I want to try the Edp version but wonder if it smells close to this or different. This is a must try and buy.

Sreza7

Yes, yes, yes!! A citrus/floral vanilla fragrance. Very wearable and possibly suitable for all seasons, I still need to test out in the summer time. At first spray I get a frozen cold orange just like in Dior’s description. Then it morphs into a rich rose and citrus heart with the sweetness still in the background. The heart is very beautiful I love it. Then the caramel comes front and center and lasts til the end with the vanilla, tonka and orange dancing in the background.
The atomizer is really nice too. You can control how much you spray whether you want a little or a lot. I now want to try Pure Poison and Hypnotic Poison!

Gypsy98617

This fragrance went from a like to an absolute love very quickly for me. It's stunning and delicious. The most underrated fragrance in Dior's line by far in my opinion. I feel like a of people brushed over this as just another fruity floral when it came out, and I've heard more than a few say that this doesn't belong in the Poison range. I completely disagree, and I'm going to attempt to explain why. When I first smelled this, I thought it was pretty, but it wasn't a love. I ordered a small bottle online and wore it a couple times. Then a couple more. Before I knew it, I was hooked. It had it's claws in me to the point I bought 2 backup bottles in case this gorgeous creation gets reformulated. This fragrance has a hazy, almost narcotic feel to it when you're wearing it. Like when you see something out of the corner of your eyes when you're falling asleep or just relaxing. It's not quite in focus. This fragrance lulls you into a false sense of security in a way. That is the reason this fragrance absolutely belongs in the Poison range. I hope I did it justice. One of my all time favorite scents.

Asoss

This perfume is great for spring, when mornings are still chilly and you need some vanilla and caramel sweetness to warm you. I really like the openning, it is very different from vanilla I get after 10 minutes or so, I wish it lasted longer, it's glorious and empowering. The name is misleading in my oppinion. It is Poison Girl, but it's not immature kind of girl. For me, it is for all ages, it is just sweet.

natasha calli

A fan favorite and the best from its poison line except hypnotic poison. Its sweet, unique and attracts attention. A true head turner that makes you love the perfume even more.

Palmer Eldritch

Love this! It's a more playful version of the Poison girl EDP & has something complex about it.

I really don't understand the comments about it being bubblegumy or synthetic as it's less sweet than the EDP. Also doesn't have any powderyness like famous bubblegum scents e.g. Insolence EDT/EDP from Guerlain.

The intrigue from me is maybe coming from the added fruits? They seem to be more apparent here but not in a sour citrus kind of way.
- Also the vanilla note is less strong in this one for sure.

I can see it being suitable for spring & even summer. The sillage is not as strong as the EDP but it's strong enough for arms length,

The longevity is great for an EDT: lasted on my skin for around 7-8 hours before fading into nothingness.

Overall very well-rounded fragrance that is suitable for all occasions whether it be first dates, office environment, school environment. It's a crowd pleaser for sure!

silent_hill_dylan

This is my first foray into the world of Dior fragrances and I am incredibly disappointed.
To me, Poison Girl EDT opens with recognisably sharp notes of orange, both bitter and sweet, before settling into a pleasant bourbon-like vanilla and sugared orange. Unfortunately that only lasts half an hour before becoming a skin scent that smells generically sweet and unrecognisable.

As a gourmand lover the notes seemed very appealing to me, however this perfume comes off as a jumbled mess. The initial opening is VERY bitter, the following orange scent is fleeting at best and the whole fragrance is gone within the hour.
From a respectable house like Dior, I expected more, but that's just personal opinion.
This gets a 3/10 from me.

Nancy83

It smells like an orange wrapped in sugar, so delicious I want to eat it! This is one of my favorite perfumes. I love that I could smell the sweet oranges all the way through with other well blended notes. It's cozy, warm, sexy and it gives me good vibes. The longevity is nice and the projection moderate, I can smell it 10-12 hours, then it's more closer to skin, but I could still sniff it on me during the night.

I will repurchase Poison Girl EDT without a doubt, this is everything I wanted. I didn't tried Poison Girl EDP or other Poison perfumes yet, I was more drawn to Poison Girl EDT because the oranges overload, its sweetness and lightness (well, in comparison of what has been said about the other Poison perfumes). I'm definitely curious to try more Poison perfumes now. Poison and Hypnotic Poison are the next in my radar.

Carpe Noctem

This is my favorite of all the Poisons. I love this because it's sweet and happy. I usually wear a different perfume every day but once I pick up this to wear, I don't go off my binge until about three days later. It is just that delicious! It lasts me 10+ hours, so for an EDT that's pretty impressive! I find sillage to be huge too.

krysdh

On me, this fragrance smells powedery with musk and vanilla. A light, pretty musk. It’s creaminess reminds me so much of a creamsicle but without the orange smell. The orange is untetectable on me. Even so, I do like this fragrance very much. I rate it and 8 to 8.5. I would rate it higher if I could smell the orange, even just a little, and if it lasted about 10 hours plus.

rutytee

It's not citrus for me at all. It's sweet and in a bad way. I can understand cause this is EDT version, but boy, this lasting is so poor. This perfume perfectly fits for young girls and womens who like light, sweet scent, but for sure and don't buy it again.

lmwimsatt

What note is it that gives thos perfume a spicy smell, other than the bitter orange?

sunny_luv

Sweet smells tend to get muddled on my skin and turn into a huge blended mess off sweet but in an unpleasant way. Sadly Dior poison girl ended up a confused mess on my skin, I'm glad I only got a tester. I can't discern any fruit or caramel or vanilla it's just plain sweet. Sort of like benzoin and baby powder but not too powdery if that makes sense. The EDP looks like the notes might be a little more manageable.

chicagogirl

A sweet, yummy orange marmalade and vanilla scent. It is like you're eating a gourmet creamsicle in a beautiful little flower shop on a sunny spring day in Paris while the patisserie is baking French macarons and eclairs next door. You have on a flowy, floral blouse and some cute skinny jeans with ballet flats. Nothing edgy about it like the marketing suggests lol. I will be honest, though, this is not as exquisite or strong or special as Poison Girl EDP. There is something about this that makes it feel like it's a body splash or a bath and body works body spray. It's very beautiful, and very nice but very ordinary. It's also nowhere near as strong as the EDP which I already feel like is a pretty light, fleeting scent.

lediperehodovarts

This was a blind buy for me in 2017 and during 2018 I wore this EDT so much (its a good thing I bought a load of back up bottles), and now I can safely say that I'm in love with this perfume, there's something in this perfume that keeps dragging me back.

In regards to notes I seem to pick up the floral notes more the Neroli compared to the bitter orange and tonka bean your impressions might be different from mine depending on your body chemistry, however Poison Girl EDT lasts about 6 hours on me give or take the weather. But I tend to wear this a majority of the time.

Sam_1998

Really Lovely scent. It's like a most delicious candy.
Sugary, Powdery, Fruity and really feminine. Someting that I want to smell all the time.
I imagine someone like amber heard wears this. She is symbol of beauty, Just like Pioson girl.

ForrealMe2

When you open the box it smell's like lemonade candy.. really fresh and sweet and almost borderlining jasmin thats familiar with Terry Muglers Alien. This freshness reminds me of what i wanted Chanel Tendre to smell like on me but didn't. As it dries down you begin smelling that burnt vanilla we've come accustomed to loving in Hypnotic Poison but much lighter. The caramel makes this a more rounded fresh gourmand. Instead of it being sharp the sweetness softens it up. But this isn't a fragrance for the timid cause it stands out by beginning strong and it lasts 6-8 hours for a edt.. eventually beginning to fade around the 5-6 hour mark slowly. It will linger on your clothes and you will get whiffs of it from time to time. I'm never disappointed with Dior because their scents are always pleasing and sophisticated to me. You should at least try it..I think you would like it.

IrisLily

I bought this last summer on a whim, fully expecting to return it shortly thereafter. I assumed it would be too fruity, too gourmand, too girly, and too sugary. However I have reached for it all summer. It bloomed perfectly on hot, humid days and left a delightful, yummy trail. Now I am wearing it in the fall, and it is a warm, orange, sugary scent perfect for cool weather, sweaters and cozy covers. My bottle is half empty! If you are considering it, buy it. If the marketing appears too young for you, but you think you'd enjoy it, buy it anyway and enjoy it!

ReneeW1

I like Poison Girl. It has a younger vibe than Hypnotic Poison and its sweet. On me all I smell is vanilla. No citrus, nothing but plain vanilla. It smells good but its just not knock your socks off.

Selena

Been spraying this beauty on & off this week.
I love that it's working on me now, in winter it let me down.
Now it's spring and this blooms ;)

Michelle12345678

Opens up with a sugary orange candy, orange-vanilla ice cream, creamsicle scent which is rather hard to take.

But when this dries down - after an hour or so - it becomes a vanilla-caramel skin scent. It's still not my favorite, but it's a lot more pleasing than the opening.

I think only people who enjoy gourmands and vanilla would appreciate this. It's sweet, but not a sugar-bomb.

I don't pick up rose in here at all.

The longevity is 8+ hours. I can't complain about the longevity.

This radiates off you in the summer heat, which is kind of fun.

9-10-19 Got a compliment on this today from KK.

lmwimsatt

Lol at the poll. This is not the perfume for a spring day. This is the smell of Xmas eve

Selena

My sweet heart brought me a bottle, I really like it, but I don't reach for it much.
Maybe it's not the right season ? It's winter in australia, each time I wear this I pick up a play doh vibe :/ , but he always says I smell good? It's a confusing perfume. Maybe in spring it'd smell a little sweeter & I won't pick up the play doh.. For now I'm putting you away poison girl.

vcavagni

I'm wondering HOW Dior does it, it's one of the sweetest fragrances I have ever smelled but it does not make me sick or induces headache. I just can't get enough of it, the more I sniff the more I want, so addictive. Also, how could they freeze orange and transform it into perfume? Seriously. This is a masterpiece. This is how I picture a charming woman should smell on colder days.

hsheep

Very sugary sweet, like a powdered sugar coated orange candy. I do get hints of balsamic notes hidden behind the sugar that makes the scent a bit deeper than your typical sugary modern perfume. The citrus can be biting, with the sugar it's a bit much for my nose. But then an hour later, the citruses dried away and I'm left with wafts of warm vanilla powder which is quite comforting and lovely. The scent as a whole isn't a love, but it's quite nice, young and lively, sweet and feminine.

Soofiya

I waited for poison girl edt to reach my country for a long time.poison girl edp is my top one favorite, almost my signature and I was expecting a lot from it's edt version.when I first tried it,I was kind of disappointed, not that I don't like it because I do,I actually love it,but I prefer edp version ten times over this one
I totally agree with below review.when first sprayed orange is very strong and it's not a frozen orange.it's syrupy and caramelized, like melted orange candy and orange stands out as the dominant note for a while.middle phase is actually very pleasant.still orangey but less sharp and flashy.creamy orange-vanilla-a hint of caramel but finally it dries down to poison girl's vanilla, tonka, powder signature base which I love, albeit softer, less deep, less gourmand and without almond.
Both longevity and sillage are less than edp version but they're still acceptable.longevity is actually good for an edt but it's very soft and close to skin in most of it's life.
Poison girl edp is a winter perfume for most people but I wear it year round.edt is also year round wearable IMO
I haven't tested unexpected flanker yet,I don't think it's going to be available here anytime soon, but if they're going to come up with another flanker,I'd wish to see a poison girl noir/intense/ or even sucree

SailorV

I like Poison Girl EDP better than this EDT. They are very similar, especially in the drydown, but the opening of the EDT is fresher. In theory, that sounds good to me, "frosted orange" sounds very appealing. But in practice I think the orange doesn't really leave an icy, frosted impression - the opening is rather just an intense blast of different citrus notes that don't mix too well with the caramel and the Poison Girl signature base of super-creamy tonka and vanilla with a dash of rose.
In the drydown the strong citrus calms down and it becomes very reminiscent of the original PG, but a bit lighter, with more air to it. Very creamy and gourmand, with some light orange and rose.

Not bad all in all, but I'd recommend the EDP or even the La Rive dupe (which I have) or PG Unexpected over the EDT.

SniffinBloomingBubbleLand

1. test. Very pretty. Too weak, though. Faded.

2. test. Orange lemonade. Didn't notice ealier.

3. test: Most beautiful. Mild fluffy strawberry icecream. Orange: no.

4. test. Nearly empty bottle+heat: Orange. Feels much worse.

5. test. Jam-like sweetness, too sweet stuff. I believe it now.

jenna.kal

*my only hope is this will grow on me soon or develop into a scent I HAVE TO HAVE LOL

jenna.kal

Ok so I only had this on for an hour but last year I fell in love with the perfume version of this but the edt idk about which makes me sad cuz I want to get the new roller pearl version ! It’s so cute!! I do sense at first a seeet orange maybe then a cookie or something baking in the oven but then I smell a play dough smell which is odd and I love CARAMEL but to me this doesn’t smell like a warm rich caramel , it’s more like chemical dare I say air freshener scent

emprss

-The first Poison Girl edp is balmy, warm and rounded, comfy yummy scent. All about vanilla and almond.
-The second Poison Girl edt is sharply sweeter a bit colder, candy like and sugary. All about that frosted orange and caramel.
-The third Poison Girl Unexpected is jammy and juicy, even colder than the edt.I get more fruity floral tones here and I would say its all about blood orange and rose.

The edp is the closest to Hypnotic Poison edt, but softer and not dark and smoky.

chillevanille

This is really nice and I do like it a lot, but I wish I'd gone against the general consensus that this is better than the EDP and bought a full bottle of the EDP instead of this. This has a sparkling fruity opening and is lighter than the EDP and I get why people prefer it, but I think the EDP is softer and cozier and reminds me a little bit of Gourmand Coquin, especially on the dry down. I also disagree that this is suitable for hot weather, although it is great for any other type of weather, making it more versatile than the EDP which is truly best left for winter. Also, I think that the sweet orange combined with the candy-gourmand notes can make this cloying if oversprayed, but I never find it cloying if sprayed judiciously, then it is just sparkling and ultra girly (in a very good way). But don't get me wrong, I still really like this and find it very feminine and charming in its own way. I also really appreciate that Dior seems to have used high quality ingredients thus escaping the trap of "cheap/synthetic" that most fragrances this sweet fall into. I can see myself finishing this bottle, I just don't think I would repurchase it (I'd rather get the EDP instead). I don't understand the hate for the PG line, all the PGs are supposed to be sugary sweet gourmands but I think they are impecably well done and are far higher quality than other saccharine gourmands in its price range. I think they're both better than, for example, Love By Kilian which is far more expensive. I think that if you prefer cozy, warm-blanket type gourmands you should go for the EDP, but if your tastes veer towards fruity gourmands then the EDT is for you. Also, kudos to Dior for making the EDT it's own distinctive fragrance rather than a watered down version of the EDP. If you're a die-hard PG fan it may be worth owning both. The difference is pretty much equal to the difference between Hypnotic Poison EDP and EDT. And if you don't love this one, don't write off the EDP, and vice versa.

So i waited a while before i posted a review in this. I bought this because i love gourmands and i wanted the caramel note, i love it. Iv worn it on my skin without moisturising and it stays for 5-6 hours with the last few hours becoming very soft that i can only smell. When i moisturised and then added this scent well i felt it was more sweeter if that makes sense. And it lasted all day. I always shower at bedtimeand spray my night clothes with the perfume i am going to wear to bed. I can still smell the caramel note on my top 2 days later it is sooo cosy.
I was quite disappointed with the colour of the liquid in the bottle,it shows it as a nice hot pink but when i received mine its nothing like that its a very very light pink if u can call it that sort of colour. All in all i would deffinetly buy again.
P.s the weather her is still cold with the wind being quite bitter occasionally i love ut when its windy and i can catch wafts of perfume travelling.

This finally came to the stores here were i live. I like this version better than the edp. This one is softer. Truth be said, it is not "poison" anymore. This one has lost the uniqueness and the "bite" from the edp. This one is just one gourmand more, but it is very well done, very feminine and pleasant. This is something romantic girls will surely like.
This one gets another plus point from me, because the caramel note is really well done, and normally caramel gets weird on my skin.
If you're looking for a gourmand for spring, test this one.

I like this a lot. The orange, caramel, vanilla, rose, and tonka bean are very well blended. Nothing jumps out singularly. The name is really unfortunate. "Girl??" I'm 55, it doesn't seem "girly" to me. Pretty bottle. Longevity is about like all my others, only a few hours on my dry skin. Sillage is modest.

Poison Girl EDT smells nothing like the EDP. I sprayed EDT and let it settle on my skin for a few minutes. The sniff i first got of it left me...weirded out. It smelled exactly like a mosquito reppellent lotion. I gave it more time to show me its true potential but it was just not worth it. Very artificial, plastic-y, cheap and weird.

Given that I was wearing the EDP on my other arm, i was left amuzed from the huge gap between the two fragrances. It felt like EDT shouldn't even be included in the 'Poison' family. EDT is definately not for me. I will perhaps reconsider it during the summer months when mosquitos hunt me down, but for now it's a pass

I have been wearing the original Poison this week and can definitely say that Poison Girl smells nothing like the original. Poison Girl is not a bad smelling perfume, but it's just your run-of-the-mill oriental vanilla that you see over and over these days.

mychinarose

...Why oh why is this called Poison "Girl"??? I am NOT a girl. I'm a full-fledged woman. I'm really loathe to tell people I am wearing anything called "Girl." This should have been called "Poison Sucree" at the very least. I would have tried it MUCH sooner than I did. As it was, I only bought this because I had a 20% off coupon at Ulta and had to use it before 12/24. Had I realized they had in Angel Muse EDT (which is just launched) I probably would have bought that instead, since I love Angel Muse EDP.

But I digress! Poison Girl is not a bad perfume. It's okay. It falls in line with all of the sweet and fruity offerings major house offerings these days. The drydown is MUCH better, and interesting, than the initial blast. Maybe it's the Cashmeran note that's adding a bit of warmth?.

Here's an interesting twist: Because I like to layer, I actually sprayed this on top of my vintage Chanel Coco EDP the other day and it was divine! As I wore it, it became very popcorny with a hint of sweetness. Interestingly enough, I was just reading about Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 that had the coveted strawberry popcorn smell and ordered one online, and now I'm really curious as to whether this concoction of mine actually ends up smelling similar (it's on its way so we soon shall see!).

So, do YOU need Poison Girl? Do you collect Poison flankers (as it seems that I am now?) Yes, you do. Do you already own a pink citrusy vanilla juice from some other offering? Probably not. Is this better than another recent citrusy sugary offering like Angel Sucree? Hell no. But you could do worse.

EDIT: I now have my 2005 bottle of Miss Dior Cherie and am wearing it today. I am torn. It does smell as described...but there's something missing. I think I actually like my mixture of Coco with Poison Girl better. MDC smells like buttery popcorn, but my Coco/PG alchemy smells like caramel popcorn. Much better. There's also that dang Coco Mademoiselle thing to contend with. I used to LOVE to smell CM on others, but by the time I dropped coin on a bottle I couldn't stand it on myself. This MDC 2005 reminds me of CM, which shouldn't be a bad thing since I did love it once, but there was just something in CM that was added that was too, too much. Another frag that smells super similar to both of these is Camelia by L'Erbolario. I actually smelled it on someone else and begged her to tell me what it was and I ordered a bottle straight away. But there went that Coco Mademoiselle smell again once I put it on. Seriously, what is wrong with me? Why do I love/hate so much??? I think I am going to add Poison Girl on top of the MDC to see if it turns more caramel on me. Maybe that will solve it??? To be continued...

I just sprayed some of this on my wrist a few hours ago.
It started off as one of those sweett, inexpensive perfumes I like to douse myself with in the summer. It smelled very good, but nothing special. But over time it developed into a beautiful, unique scent. Very soft and sweet. Cupcakes and sex.

It went straight to the top of my wish list.

Heavenly.

Why isn't the bottle purple anymore?

It was with great joy and anticipation that I spotted this on my first trip to a shopping mall in over a year. Oh the joy!

First spray, it hit me hard . . . playdough! Like salty, doughy, weird playdough. I hear of people looking for a playdough scent. If that's what you're looking for, try this. It might do the trick.

But it's just playdough and very sweet, and just not me. There's no development. The playdough eventually left after a couple of hours, and now it's just sweet. But I really can't pick out any notes. Just lots-o-sugar.

I'm not a perfume snob at all (refer to my wardrobe for evidence). I love all kinds. But I just think I'm not up for the super sweet ladies. Saves more for those of you they work for! :)

Oh, and the bottle isn't purple, which is a bummer-slash-blessing, because I LOVE purple bottles, and if it was purple and beautiful like the photo, I would have been sad to dislike it like I did.

I never like 'sweet' scent perfumes before. I always prefer clean, fresh, flora, fruity or woody etc. scents but not 'sweet' (because every time I tried them I had a headache). But now I fall in love with "Poison girl". Fresh orange bloom and very sugar sweet along with deep dark but warm. I can tell this perfume made me started to like this kind of scent.(Now I began to like Viva la juicy or yves saint mon paris.) I can't stop sniff .. sniff ..sniff and sniff when I wear it.

I think, it will be my new signature.

p.s.
I have both of EDT and EDP ver. I prefer EDT because it's fresher than the original (but longevity is lesser. 4-5 hr. on my skin. )

I love this! At first, the fragrance definitely smells like frosted oranges (not that I've ever smelled a frosted orange, haha), but after a while, the vanilla and tonka bean combination makes its presence known and I love it! It feels like a very wintry fragrance: frosty at first, but then it warms up after a while. The sillage on me is quite good, so make sure that when you spray this, you let it take you on its journey for the next day or so. Seriously. I really do like this a lot, but a word of caution: it's a unique scent that was definitely made for a confident young woman, so if you, like me, are still taking baby steps with wearing perfume in public, I wouldn't start off with this one.

I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love wants us dead
Just me and my poison girl ♪♫♬

I can't help but hum that HIM song every time I see this perfume :) Even the perfume's color is the same as the cover of Razorblade Romance album. Oh, nostalgia!

Sentiments aside, let's talk about the perfume. Like many reviewers have already stated, it's more citrusy and less syrupy than the EDP version. I think that Poison Girl EDP gradually morphs into Hypnotic Poison EDP, and Poison Girl EDT doesn't go quite so far. But it may sound more radical than it is. The drydowns smell really similar. Actually, I could bet that there is a licorice note in both versions, it's just that in the EDT version the licorice is more subdued. The main differences are in the top notes. It's up to you what you choose - the syrupy kick or sharp citruses. For me, either one works.

There is a general opinion that Poison Girl is not a real Poison and it doesn't belong to the line. Of course it's not as serious as the other Poisons, but all of the Poisons are quite different in style. And they were trendy at the time when they were released. Just remember the gorgeous Midnight Poison (btw, they made a huge mistake by discontinuing it). The patchouli note was all around the perfumery world in 2007. At that time there were many patchouli based fragrances. I think that despite the fact that Poison Girl seems like a more commercial release, it sort of follows the idea that every new Poison (not a flanker) is very different from the previous one and this is what unites them.

comfortablynumb83

I love love love this one! I really like PG EDP, but the EDT is much better. They are still very similar but I love that the citrus notes are more dominant than they are in the EDP. The EDP is beautiful as well, but I think what made the EDT as gorgeous as she is, is the caramel mixed with orange. There's also that signature Dior vanilla that i love. This is one of those frags that I need to have in my wardrobe permanently. Bravo Dior!

This fragrance oh my god!
I received a sample of this beautiful scent and within a few days it was gone. I could not stop smelling my arm, clothes or anything it had left a hint of smell on. It was love at first smell I have been searching for a Perfume that in bodied me and who I am and here she is in all glory Dior poison girl EDT. it sounds cliche but I had butterflies and I still do whenever I spritz myself. Within the week I bought a full size bottle with no regrets.
This fragrance is spicy yet sweet and the bottle itself is gorgeous I love the pink juice inside.
I definitely would say this fragrance is not just for young girls as the advertising targets I am in my mid twenties and will proudly call this my signature scent.
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 8/10
Price: Not cheap but 100% worth it.
