The first question that comes to my mind when I smell this perfume is: why is it called Poison Girl? What does this have to do with Poison or Hypnotic Poison?

While the two oldest are strong perfumes for assertive personalities, here we have a sweet/vanilla perfume without any strength, without any originality. Ultra disappointing. But perhaps the answer was in the word “girl” and the bubblegum pink color of the bottle; here we target very young girls.

Once again, I have nothing against sweet perfumes, I even like some that I like to wear from time to time. And Poison Girl doesn't smell bad, no, no; I just find it totally interchangeable with its neighbors on the perfumery shelf.

In my eyes, it has no place at all in the "Poison" collection.

liquidangel

almond, vanilla, powdery. this fragrance macerates so beautifully i have had my second bottle for over a year and the dry down is gorgeous, very sweet and intoxicating

Oliphie

I love this fragrance!! It is girly yet spicy and mysterious. I love the citrus and the vanilla in it, it is very versatile. It lasts all day long and the notes doesn’t fade. A lot of people say that other fragrances in the poison collection are way better but I never smelled other poisons since I got this one as a present. Anywayyyy, my second favorite perfume in my little collection <3!

riaxcx

smells like lemon and grapefruit

Hussam Ray

Smells like D&G devotion but Dior poison lasts a lot longer
So get this one instead

Luthien999

Poison Girl is also a name of the song of the band called HIM, FYI. Playful, intense and modern fragrance. Can be easily a signature scent. Perfect for Fall.

Lbustos2

I feel like this is a good starter perfume for a young woman. This was one of my first starter fragrances. You can easily find it at department stores or at Sephora.

It's delicious, warm, fruity, and sensual. It smells like juicy, red fruits, and intoxicating florals. It's an addictive, deep fragrance, without being too mature.

This perfume reminds me of the Plastics from Mean Girls. I can see Gretchen Weiners spraying this on herself before getting ready to bully other students.

This perfume is Hypnotic Poison's younger, more popular sister that people are secretly scared of.

HellyKayden

This smells exactly like those crème savers candies it’s sooo good

Ana Letic

Sweet caramely seduction

theautumnfaerie

attention seeker, social butterfly, leader of a high school clique, one of the mean girls - possibly regina even.

this fragrance intrigued me when i sprayed it on my wrist in a shop. i loved it so that later i bought a sample to try wearing it. it was a vanilla dream. after a few wears i grew tired of it, the initial pleasant sweetness started annoying me, wanting to scrape it off my skin. it is indeed a scent fitting for a young girl in high school seeking attention from others, maybe being slightly manipulative. now, you wouldn't catch me wearing this again hah.

first spray is indeed very sweet but not overwhelming and surprisingly vanilla heavy, even tho vanilla isn't listed as a top or a middle note. after first 5-10 minutes the vanilla gives way to rose. i couldn't really pin-point the citruses, although it has a slightly zesty feeling to it. once 2-3 hours passed, i could smell vanilla again, this time rather powdery, as well as tonka bean. the projection after this time is still great, not as strong as freshly sprayed, but i can smell the perfume on myself while moving around. and after more than 3 hours, poison girls becomes rather a skin scent with delicious and lovely pure vanilla.

overall, the sillage is quite moderate as well as longevity. the price is expected for a dior product - higher, but not unaffordable. nevertheless, this fragrance is not for me.

Can anyone tell me if they’ve changed the design or did I get a fake?!

My bottle is dated 2022 but does not have those black fangs (pointy edges) hugging the bottle, instead my bottle just has black on the very bottom of the bottle similar to the new hypnotic poison edt. My poison girl bottle also has a bit of a glitter to it.

CestCoco

This one just tastes really delicious.
Everybody likes it and you get lots of compliments for it.

Still wouldn't use it as a signature scent. There are much more 'creative' perfumes out there than this one

blondie2004

such a "cool girl" perfume. the bottle? I'm obsessed. The name? OB SESSED! and the scent is so comforting: Heavy but not too mature for an 18 year old girl. sweet and vanilla-ish. long lasting too <33

Acrelune

The eldest of the triplets:
Poison Girl (Dior), Girl of Now (Elie Saab), and Wanted Girl (Azzaro).
All three smell almost the same with just a few differences.
Poison girl is the darkest of all three, and she loves being noticed. When she walks in, you have to turn around and look.

But if you own one of the two others, don’t get this.

vera.rnova

It's a pretty vanilla scent. Crowd pleaser for sure.

saho93

This is an interesting scent. I do get dense bitter orange vanilla tonka bean, tolu balsam. Not sure I get almond. It feels like boozy balsamic vanilla.

While I prefer EDT because it’s a powdery vanilla, EDP is still alluring and probably better for nights. It is definitely deeper than EDT, and the two are quite different.

Of the three in the girl line, I like unexpected the best. It’s got the extra dimension with ginger without dominating the vanilla.

Gail14

Girl of Now...

Schondis

This is just delicious 😍 orange and vanilla is such a beautiful combo. There's marzipan in there too. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to last very long, and the sillage is strong only for the first hour, after that goes a bit weak. I got it cheaper so it's fine, and I will continue using it, but I don't think I'd pay full price mainly because of the very average performance.

Bloomahyde

This is so beautiful! I waited a while to buy it, so now I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner! It's sweet. It's floral. It's got sweet, not crisp, citrus in the background and it dries down to a perfect tonka almond vanilla delicacy. I am swooning over here!

I am also starting to realize that orange blossom and vanilla are made for each other when done right. Heaven in a bottle!

Pewbom

I adore the whole poison line, especially pure poison because it’s my first love.
This is so yummy, orange blossom with almond, and the dry down is more warm vanilla. To be honest, it smells on me like I'm lathering myself with delicious vanilla almond body butter. It’s not perfumey or cologne. so beautiful, and elegant, not girly at all. Don’t let the name fool you.

katiesimpsonhair

I’ve just blind bought a big bottle of this and I really like it. It’s pretty unique like orange marzipan, it’s sweet and syrupy. I pick up on the orange, vanilla and almond, I get that slight playdoh / marzipan in the base but I adore that smell as i delicious and edible smelling. It smells nothing like Black Opium as people have voted above, it’s very much its own unique fragrance. I really love this, the more I wear it the more addicted I am to it. A successful blind buy for me.

Boma

Straight up ALMOND and a sprinkle of vanilla. Veryy long lasting. Not too heavy not too soft. Just perfect. It’s not a simple fragrance. A bit complex . It has layers to it. Smells like a nutty dessert. This could easily be signature scent that could be worn during any season. Use smell during warm periods. I recommend. But this isn’t a safe blind buy if you’re not a fan of almond scents.however if your like it, then this is your sh*t right here hahahah

Brigitttte

Gosh i dont even know where to start. To me this is not at all generic, like some might say, and I ve actually never smelled anything like it before. This is the epiphany of an electric, sweet yet dangerous woman, regardless of the somewhat juvenile name.

Mooluna

I find this better than hypnotic almond and vanilla dominant i LOVE the bottle idk but i would chose unexpected ginger is a level up

ihteusernames

This is the 2nd perfume I bought after I started my perfume collection. I currently have 15 fragrances in my collection and this still is my favourite one so far. This perfume has gotten me the most compliments, people can smell me from feets away, I've had random people passingby ask me "Someone smells really good, is that you?" Friends tell me that I smell like ice-cream/cake/some delicious dessert. This quickly became my winter signature scent.

Besides being a huge compliment getter, I personally love how long it lasts. For example, I wore this yesterday noon, it has been 20+ hours and I can still smell it on the jacket I wore yesterday (I didn't even spray it on the jacket itself)

Perfumery isn't very common where I live (we don't even have sephora/ulta/macys), which is why I watch and read a lot of reviews because I mostly have to make blind purchases since I can't get my hands on samples and testers easily here. Anyway, my reason for mentioning this is that I was surprised by the underwhelming feedback on this perfume. I bought this without looking up many reviews (I, along with a friend, had just walked into a shop and they surprisingly had testers, I smelled it and immediately fell in love) It is literally one of the most beautiful perfumes I own, the scent bubble it create is legit soothing to my nose, smelling this makes me happy. This is hands down the best fragrance you can purchase as a beginner, or if you just want one sweet gourmand scent in your life. 10/10.

Emilie1806

Absolutely love this. It’s my signature scent during winter. I have got compliments from two strangers, one man, and one woman. My boyfriend also loves this

Nadia Khouri

it was my signature scent on 2020-2022 & still the bottle not finished :D its feminin & got compliments from men.
I like orange note , its my favorite.
but unfortunately people can smell you if they get close

CustardBunny

This smells like raspberry and liquorice candy

nocchu

I actually cannot stand this perfume - I have a bottle that was a blind buy and have sampled it multiple times at stores and I can’t bring myself to like it. I love sweet, gourmand smells, but when I smell this on myself, and my friends ( I’ve used it on other people to see if I’ll like it on other peoples skin) but I can’t. Reminds me of sickly sweet play dough, and I’ve been trying to like it for many years. Giving my bottle away to a friend who loves this perfume but this was a no go for me.

Diablomoni

This is sooo amazing. So creamy and smooth! Shame wearing it reminds me of a bad time in my life! Otherwise I’d wear it all the time

jadepo21

I guess liking more gourmand, sweeter scents makes you a girl and enjoying heavier, woodier scents makes you a woman. Good to know that’s the dividing line! Getting past the ridiculous name and all it implies, it is a lovely scent. The Poison DNA is there for sure but with a sweeter, more delicate touch. I think that makes this version a bit easier to wear, but it’s still sexy and empowering the way the original is. It has incredible staying power and I thoroughly enjoy the vanilla on the dry down.

mzhyde

Amazing scent. I have been struggling with finding my signature scent for a long time. Now i have found it. Hypnotic poison lovers will love this fragrance, but this one definitely is milder. Almond and vanilla is very obvious on my skin. It smells amazing, i adore it. It's feminine, sexy, young but not teen, attractive and definitely i get compliments. Of course it smells different on each skin. I think this perfume wouldn't smell so good on white/pale skin girls or darker skin girls, but definitely it suits brunettes. It's not heavy or nauseting for me. My boyfriend loves it and his nose is always on my neck.

Liisa7

Amazing for really cold winter days. Sweet, but in a womanly, beautiful and elegant way.

Angelxo

I can’t believe this is discontinued! This is so upsetting. Wish I would’ve bought 5 bottles

sweetcherie23

My signature fragrance since purchasing this two years ago, it smells very sexy and sophisticated but not as overcast as the other Dior poison perfumes, so if you are looking for something lighter sweeter but still seductive this is a must have!

ysabelbates

Super sweet... I loved it as a teenager but its distinctive smell makes me feel a bit nauseous

Smonalisa

This is a dream. Described as a generic pink girly scent online , I have to disagree. It has sophisticated depth and spice to it and morphs into a beautiful powdery almond and vanilla with a resinous dimension. Lovely in winter but wearable year round because of the citrus. Love it.

Gemsense

It’s very thick like absolutely blooming- this is better imo.

Deliza1997

This is one of the best in Dior Poison range to me, It isn’t all and all sharp florals like the Original poison. It is still strong but has a warm and fluffy aspect in addition to the florals which makes it more wearable. It has a fruity floral opening and the drydown is more creamy floral .It is sweet but not a thick and sticky sweetness more like cramy cake frosting sweetness. It is very modern but little bit mature leaning fragrance to my nose and will be great for you if you are in your late 20s or early 30s. Performance is nuclear in my opinion which is very consistent with the whole Poison line. You will definitely like it if you are into floral gourmands. Sometimes florals mixed with gourmands can be headache inducing for some people, so will suggest everyone to sample it before buying.

Homage

Has a little complexity compared to the EDT which is nice but too sweet and powdery amber leaning for me. Gives me a queasy stomach and a headache (same as the EDT). Smells a bit cheap and babyish/old lady frag at the same time. I prefer Addict.

asochu

Smells like a sweet handcream to me, might be nice for someone else but it's just not my style.

aflakes

This is a very young generic crowd pleasing scent. I've been wearing it for 15 minutes and I'm already bored. This is not my jam, so I'll probably sell it.

Yusrayacoubi

This was my ‘loquita’ scent, as in crazy scent, I used to wear this at every club when I was 21. Years later I still love it. So seductive.

LOST_HORIZON

Poison Girl edp is happy, fun, dreamy, divinely sweet, I think it is the most beautiful perfume that Dior has made in many years. This vanilla accompanied by almonds and tonka becomes very addictive, more addictive than its older brother Addict, because I have noticed that when I use it, for several days I just want to smell Poison on my skin. I like the sensation of oranges at the top, which give that bright life to the perfume, not everything is a candy store in this bottle because the rose and tolu balm, although they do not give seriousness, give it that elegant wisp that rounds out the spectacular perfume. This combination is so good that all ages are delighted with this perfume.

When I use it I feel like the eternal child that is always inside me. I recommend that you buy the first batches if you can, they are bottles where the formula is stronger, although if you settle for a Poison Girl that is a little softer than the first batches you will also enjoy it

Malinkabby

the goat. almond girls rise UP

emjones370

I bought this at Sephora over a year ago. I had basically no experience with expensive perfume and liked what I smelled in the store so I got it. I have worn it occasionally but have recently started to dislike it a bit because the almond note became very noticeable to me, which I have discovered is one of my least favorite scents (little cough syrupy). In general, its still pretty but that almond smell makes me not want to wear it.

fyre92

Who the hell is saying this fluffy pink pillow is like the pink pepper pear syrup and vanilla that is black opium….
Just because the color is the liquid is simile doesn’t mean they smell the same

Bhavnalovesscents

A strong almond and vanilla scent. Very nutty and sharp. Not very sweet or cloying. Very nice and intense date night scent.

Bugack

I don’t wear Poison Girl very often. This morning I applied a couple of sprays, and it reminds me of old school Robitussin cherry flavored cough syrup. It’s not awful, but it just doesn’t measure up to the rest of the Poison line up.

Sophiè de l'Orient

This one is very different from all the other Poisons of the group - maybe the most wearable for younger women. Mandarin blends well with almond, tonka bean and vanilla creating a warm and intoxicating fragrance that you can't stop smelling from you wrists! Lasts long as well and dries out as a spicy vanilla - very flirty!

ladolcemae

I got a partial (70/100 ml) bottle for sale or swap in Eu, please pm me if interested! :)

fb258

Smells like sweet almond play doh, It's a hard pass from me.

zannajezek

Poision Girl by Dior is one of the most beautiful perfumes for wintertime. Despite the rather juvenile name, the fragrance itself is the epitome of sophistication, class, and femininity. It smells like marzipan, orange blossoms, and vanilla. A beautiful winter scent that reminds me of cashmere and fresh snow, of ballerinas twirling like snowflakes, of the nutcracker suite by Tchaikovsky, of bakeries with almond croissants, with long lines and warm lighting, of glittery wrapping papers, and twinkling lights, of New York City covered in snow. Elegant, expensive smelling, and absolutely lovely. I imagine a beautiful woman, impeccably dressed in a winter coat and boots, with sparkling earrings and red lips, and glossy shopping bags on her arm, rushing through the streets as her scarf twirls in the wind, carrying the scent of frosted almond and orange, of vanilla and rose, of all the beauty and magic of the season.

Gunce

Nothing speacial also the drydown smells like vanilin

Aquapinkmoon

Suuuuuch a yummy underrated fragrance, perfect for a date in my opinion. Super warm, spicy, slightly citrusy, vanilla. So so feminine and although the name suggests “girl” does not smell juvenile to me. There are some reviews calling poison girl basic and I agree but in the best way possible. Although this perfume doesn’t have any exciting or unusual notes like a lot of newer niche fragrances, poison girl has done an excellent job of blending a few yummy yet common notes and turning them into a gorgeous, sensual fragrance that doesn’t smell generic or cheap.I love this for date night for this exact reason, there’s nothing offensive or “controversial” in this scent, definitely a crowd pleaser and last on me. Poison girl is surely becoming my favourite 💕

rosa silvestre

I had the chance to sample this and it just smelled so generic to me, like something I've smelled a million times already. I was told that's because of the designer DNA. I guess I'm too far into niche-land to go back. On the positive, it lasts a long time on skin! I did get some black opium vibes, but again, the black opiumness was mixed with some kind of generic DNA that I strongly dislike. I prefer black opium to this because at least nothing interferes with the notes, and it smells more original.

mabelangel

i get a suuuuper strong citrus scent throughout this. slowly it dries down into a slightly bitter almond vanilla… i cant say i’m a fan but i don’t hate it as much as the og poison. i just don’t think any of these flankers are for me!

giri-boni

Oh, only I knew how many times I’ve watched rhe ad with Camille Rowe at a party teasing that boy, playing something like a voyeur… and I never got it, until yesterday. You know… priorities. Now I can be a poison girl, sweet, intense, sexy and unapologetic. So happy❤️

massimilianoinquieto

raycyj

all these videos say that if u have scorpio placements u should own this fragrance, i have a scorpio sun and whenever I smell this fragrance I really feel like myself (sounds weird but it's true). such an intoxicating sweet powdery sultry fragrance.. I don't really care for the opening, it's the dry-down that does it for me!!

ANNAFRYS

scent of american girl on date i like it

delrey

i dont like this it smells like overly sweet cough syrup

Erianwyn

I had a bottle of the EDT years ago when it was released and I’ve been thinking of picking up the EDP for months. After several tests I bought a bottle today and I’m in love. I have a real love for the House of Dior and I can count on one hand the fragrances I don’t like or haven’t gelled with my skin chemistry. It’s giving me a comforting orange and vanilla with a hint of rose which is just what I need right now.

lauriedade

It smells good, lovely even, but generic. I feel like I've smelt this before on either myself or someone else. It has multiple notes that will have you coming back to sniff again and again. If you're looking for a nice scent, you should try it. If you're looking for unique? This might not be it.

11PHOSPHORUS11

It's not that I don't like it, but it doesn't do the Poison line justice.

After the release of Tendre Poison which smelled like a bubble bath, I thought that the Poison flankers hit the rock bottom and it couldn't get more anticlimactic for this line. Dior has their ups and downs like that (look at Miss Dior flankers or Dior Homme flankers)..

Then I smelled Poison Girl and I discovered that I was wrong! This flanker is a shameful attempt at stealing fans of the Black Opium.

Made purely for commercial purposes; something as boring as that was conceived by people in suits and poor Demachy likely was told what to do rather than given a creative freedom.

It's sweet, vanilic, a bit sickly and you've smelled something like that many times before.

The original Poison is a polarising statement for individuals with charisma that want to be remembered. Heady, floral, milky, juicy and venomous, dark and rich. Almost alarming but addictive. Unusual.
So, this one is something that Poison never was and as a flanker, it's divorced from the ethos of the line.

Poison Girl doesn't match the idea of something irresistible but dangerous, unless you want to smell like something caramelly you'd buy in patisserie that would give you bad teeth and cellulitis.

Nah.
6/10

Kiwigoddess

Extremely vanilla heavy. This makes it almost sickly sweet someone dumped a tub of melted vanilla ice cream over you. It projects beyond arm's length with a decent sillage. I am wearing this on a beautiful warm (15 degrees celcius) winter day and am finding it quite suffocating so this would be best suited to colder climates and evenings/nights. It is a nice fragrance, but not for me, and not to be around someone wearing it for long periods of time.

Lotte_Liese

The almond in this fragrance has the same nauseating quality as CH Good Girl, I just can't get past it to test this fragrance some more. The opening was lovely- orange and orange blossom, but once the almond note set, it became too much for my nose to handle.

Ruby Galore

To me the opening is the same as Moon Guerlain edt, fresh from orange blossom and orange. But the cherries appear in this one?? Oh yes, cherries, and later tonka and vanilla.

Fragranceliker

If you like the smell of hubba bubba… Not bad but not mindblowing!

lo4

absolutely gorgeous. don't let the leaning childish name fool you, this scent is mature and chic as any dior perfume should be. at first you get an almost fruity rose smell laying on top, but quickly it leans into its powdery vanilla side layered with nutty almond undertones. i love this scent because while complex, you don't need to get up close to experience all of its layers. projects well and quite versatile, but could get stuffy in the summertime. definitely a new favourite! <3

sugarcoatedreams

This feels so generic ompared to other poisons… When i recently smelled this in the store it was a big disappointment because it smelled like straight up fresh orange with pretty dry down but no longevity on my skin. I will always choose hypnotic poison over this one sorry💁♀️

k8iet

I don’t get much of the rose notes but that’s absolutely not a bad thing as I don’t love rose. I get mostly vanilla and almond. I do get the citrus when first sprayed but that doesn’t last overly long.

This perfume lasts forever on me too, I can spray at 7am before I leave for work and can still smell it on me when I’m on my way home at 5.

Paolavvh

Super Girly!!! Huele mucho a almendra. Es rico y es gourmamd. Aunque el olor es un poco básico, lo podrías encontrar en algún body mist o alguna crema de almendra :) igual no se le quita lo bueno

massimilianoinquieto

Solita base di Black Opium uguale identica, solito effetto pepatino di sottofondo e solito effetto fruttato iniziale. Sinteticone cheap senza alcuna profondità,senza personalità e senza nessun effetto erotico sensuale seducente.
Dolce piacevole e senza impegno da indossare quando non hai altro.

DebsyDoo

Sweet vanilla gourmand with some orange.
When I first spray it, it has a bit of a burnt/gone off smell to it but then after about 2 minutes that disappears (my bottle is about a year old and bought from reputable store).
It lasts so well, I only use one spray. The bottle is classic poison design, I wish it wasn’t called poison girl because it’s a bit embarrassing if someone asks, like it’s meant for a teen, what what teen can afford the Dior price tag?
Anyway I love it 🥰 I’ve just bought a 100ml bottle for the vault 😂

HannahRosesAreRed

OG Poison was an extremely powerful, dark, earthy and spicy fragrance, and in the recent years, with tastes for perfume being less overtly "perfumey," it makes sense that Dior would want to pull in younger audiences with sweeter tastes, ones that wish to smell as different as possible from their mothers in the 80s and 90s. Disregarding its sanctimonious mid-2010s ad campaign, Poison Girl fits this bill. It's an overtly sweet gourmand fragrance chock full of youthful smells–berries, cake, and powdery almond. It bears more resemblance to Hypnotic Poison than the original 80s Poison, sharing its gourmand vanilla-almond notes. This should have been called "Hypnotic Poison Girl."

This isn't bad smell necessarily, however it follows–or perhaps perpetuated–the trend of making youth-targeted flankers as far from their original DNA as possible. I personally am not a huge gourmand girl–and I cannot stand the smell of almonds. And being in my early thirties, it gives off an unsophisticated vibe that doesn't really work for me. It kind of reminds me of a less caramel Viva la Juicy.

Poison Girl is fine, but nothing really that special. There are so many fragrances I can name that are very similar, so as for me, I will pass on this particular poison.

Featherblossom

This was actually my first proper perfume, bought when I was a teenager. I absolutely loved it at the time but now that I'm older, I wasn't sure. I dug out the bottle as I still have a bit left and decided to test it out.

I'm really impressed by the longevity and sillage - this lasts for months on clothes and only needs a couple of sprays. The top notes are a bit icky but after they've faded, the middle and base notes are perfect. i get a lot of vanilla/sandalwood/rose and it's blended together really well.

I think it's more of an evening scent, although it could probably be worn all year round. I probably wouldn't wear it to work but I would wear it for an evening out with friends.

AmandaBucik

This is kinda boring i was expecting much more from this

Caramel lady

Top compliment getter for me.
Beautiful fragrance - signature scent worthy, for my taste, because it's everything a woman needs in a perfume. 🌸

1. It's sweet, in a mature, deep and seductive way (don't let the name fool you).
2. People will smell you... no longevity or silage problems here 🔥
3. Good for layering with "sexy" perfumes to add a more sweet and feminine touch.

I don't understand the reviews claiming it's soft? I'm an over sprayer and have absolutely no issues with performance, it's worth every penny.
I feel well put together and beautiful with this on.

EDIT: My new bottle has arrived, compared it to my old one and the juice is much lighter colour, this is one of those perfumes that gets better once matured.

JoyousOne

This is nice but too soft. Once you compare this next to other bodacious vanillas, you pass on this.

berd

My new obsession. The charming, feminen and sexy scent mesmerized me so hard. It is sweety but not in a heavy way and the roses make the scent romantic. Love it.

anastasija777

Warm, cozy and sweet perfume. I smell the bitter orange a lot in the beginning but after 1-2 hours I mosly smell vanilla, almonds and honey. I know it does not have honey as a note but I think the vanilla and balsamicy notes together make it smell like honey for me. I really do love this scent for colder weather. I wish it projected more though, the projection is quite soft for this one, so it suits a date night at home better than going out. It's not strong enough for others to smell it that much (unfortunately).

Veronika95

I sprayed one spray on my wrist yesterday afternoon, and it's still very clear like 15 hours later ... wow. I don't even have to put my nose too close to smell it, it still projects a little. I sprayed hypnotic poison edt, which I prefer scent wise, on other wrist and nothing, zero smell. that's really impressive. the fragrance itself, I can't decide somehow ... it's super sweet but but there's also something a little sour and tart, but it doesn't lighten the smell, it thickens it even more and maybe that's what putting me off a little bit. There are days when i don't mind, but sometimes it's too sweet and syrupy sticky. But I can see myself loving in right mood and weather. I did wear it daily for some time about a year and half ago and I did enjoy it a lot ... Definitely don't overspray, you'll make people sick

HMY

Another generic perfume. Perhaps, its just my chemistry and the fact that I am gourmand lover. I love perfumes like vanilla cake from Montale and etc. this has same vibe as La vie est belle and another flankers. It projects well but not my cup of tea. I also think it can be big headache.. i tend to smell this on every other girl who overspray it and it gives me headache. Pass for me.

spicyorange

I am devastated. This is my signature scent and so I wanted to get another bottle and couldn’t find it anywhere in my country. So i go on Reddit and there’s rumors that it has been discontinued. I’m heartbroken 💔

olitunia

I used to really love this. It opens very fresh and bright for me, you can definitely sense all the citrus, which kind of bothers me because I feel like it cheapens the scent. This goes away (fortunately) as the fragrance settles. The damask rose gives it a bit of jam-like vibe, I can sense the orange blossom. Vanilla and tonka to compliment, not playing first fiddle here. This is very sweet in a fruity, flowery kind of way, almost like an expensive, perfumed hard candy if it makes sense. I also imagine if this was a drink it would be very carbonated 😅 just something sparkling and crispy about it, probably the lemon

Emma_C

I really don't know why I waited so long to get this. It's been 2-3 years since I kept wondering whether or not to purchase this. If you're asking yourself the same thing, let me spare you the wait and tell you to absolutely, a 100%, go get yourself a bottle!

This is a really cozy and delectable scent. It is intoxicating in the best way possible: it's not cloying or overwhelming, but it is so rich, deep and with great projection, that it's almost impossible not to smell yourself throughout the day. I personally get a sweet, powdery yet smooth almond & praline/caramel scent. It is simply divine!

This fragrance is indeed youthful, but don't think Pink Sugar or AG Sweet Like Candy. It's more complex and darker, being sexy and mysterious. With this on, you're edible in every way.

I believe this perfume to be more suitable for colder weather, as I can see it being cloying in those extremely hot summer days. Otherwise, I think it's very versatile and even wore it at the office and people have complimented the scent.

Projection: 8.5/10 - While not being beast mode, this does have great projection
Longevity: 10/10 - Lasts at least a whole day
Sillage: (still testing)
Scent: 12/10 - Got the 100ml just so that I can bathe in it c:

Admw

so so lovely! Really a cozy scent, you won't overwhelm anyone with this, it's not a bomb. I really really like this but it’s not a love on her own. I'd love her if the drydown was the shining star but then she's just a skin fragrance...

Enchanted_Flower

My signature scent. I cannot get enough of it. Pure love from the very first time wearing it 😍

catholicfrail

this is a very young and sweet fragrance, a lighter gourmand, not necessarily fresh but not as thick and abundant as hypnotic. smells like candied orange mousse and whipped cream, the dry-down is warm vanilla and crushed almonds. i have always been so in love with the poison line, and i should admit that poison girl is the least mature, most people pleasing of the family. its a beautiful scent, not as complex or dark as her sisters, but just as good. a blind buy if i've ever known one, and probably my most complimented fragrance. its flirtatious, vivacious, fun and ever-so-slightly edgy. simply love it.

Fussyfragrance

Ok so the first time I wore this I unintentionally layered it on top of the strawberry body yogurt from The Body Shop and wow! I will pair these two forever!
Definitely reminds me of a candy shop, or an orange cupcake with a generous dollop of sugar frosting. I feel so girly when I wear this, with a strong need to wear something pink to match.

Edit: I've been wearing this one a lot lately and I. Am. Addicted. This is my fave offering from the poison line (out of hypnotic, pure, girl EDT & unexpected.)

DT953

I just cannot get over how devastatingly beautiful this is. I'd have originally said "Oh. I like this one a lot, even though it's not my type." but at this point, why even deny it? It's inspired me to enjoy other such sweet fragrances, and I don't regret exploring more... but this is *the* sweet fragrance for those who like it sweet. I've probably written a short review of it, to a friend, on insta, in a facebook group or on here every time I put it on. I've got that much to rhapsodise about. As some have highlighted, the first couple minutes can be offputting but the remaining 20+ hours are just magnificent. The only real downside I can think of is that if you don't like this, you're probably gonna be stuck with it for about a day. and getting the scent off clothes isn't so black and white either. The dry down is just a stunner. I'm shocked I don't wear this more.

sabriel77

I avoided this for a long time on principle because I'm generally put off when the word "girl" is in the name but I actually really like this. It is very warm and sweet but the citrus notes do freshen it up a bit and the heliotrope cools it off. I like this when I'm in the mood for something sweet and simple and fun. I wouldn't call it sophisticated but it's well-blended and has some balance to the sweetness. I don't think it's too girly or juvenile. I'm enjoying my current bottle and will try to use that up but I'm not sure I'll re-purchase. I'm trying to downsize my collection to only what I absolutely love and can easily get. Personally I don't want to chase down discontinued flankers. So I'm going to sell off my backup bottle (100ml still sealed from FragranceNet). I'm selling it on Mercari (USA) under Jackie's Closet if anyone is interested.

perfumeprincessa

Licorice candy. That’s all I get.
Just straight up licorice. I wanted to love this so badly but… yuck 🤢

rainydays

This is a more tame, youthful version of Hypnotic Poison... Which I appreciate. I like hypnotic poison but the almond-sugary vanilla combination comes across as pure rootbeer on me. This has a similar undercurrent but is more airy. Soft candied almonds, think Jordan almonds like you would find at a wedding, with a touch of citrus (very little) and woody base notes.

Irisrose11239

I'm in hell, this actually smells like baby wipes dipped in sugar. Awful!! I wanted to LOVE THIS!!!!! I just thought this might be it, as I adore Hypnotic Poison so much! It was hella expensive, I won't be keeping it. So.....if anyone wants to buy this off me, I have a brand new bottle I will sell you! Toronto. Hit me up!

LizDee007

I like it. This reminds me of La Vie Est Belle Intense and Wanted Girl by Azzaro. It’s sweet, warm spicy with a hint of boozy vanilla (a hint). But it’s sharp so be careful over spraying. I would rock this at night in cooler weather. Not my fave but not disappointed either🫶🏾

Update (48 hrs) So I wore it. I like it. Great performance and noticeable by others. I gave to my daughter (young adult) because she’s into fragrances as well. I felt this would go fab in her growing collection because this reminded me of Azzaro WG that I much rather prefer. WG is more spicy, sweet amber vanilla than Dior PG. PG is more sharp and powdery, EXACTLY like Lancome LVEB Intense. I lean more towards sweet spicy than sweet powdery spicy. Just my opinion beautiful people. I’m realizing I’m not a big fan of powdery but I wouldn’t mind it, if that makes sense😂 Conclusion: it’s nice but not for me

Jummi Jade

Love at first sniff!!!! Vanilla and sweet almonds with a hint of orange. Beautiful Fragrance which I'm gonna be wearing a lot.

WifeyPink

I'm not like a die hard almond nutty perfume fan but wow I'm so glad I finally gave this a chance. To my nose it really is worth the hype if you enjoy Soft, feminine scents. It's one of those fragrances I love more and more with every wear. Definitely going to be a cold weather staple for me. UPDATE I'm now on my 2nd bottle. I absolutely love this fragrance. I fell hard lol. I feel like this could be my replacement for si fiori. I know it smells nothing like it but the soft sweet ultra feminine vibe is definitely there. LOVE

joshua_123

I purchased this at the beginning of the summer. I’m a huge fan of the OG HP EDP and after reading all of the positive reviews on this, decided to give it a try.

I’ve never smelled the fragrance before purchasing it and upon that initial spray, I wasn’t too impressed, considering it has the name ‘Poison’ attached to it. I was expecting something with a bit more oomph and sweeetness.

You can definitely smell the bitter citrus notes upon the opening and as the fragrance starts to die down, it becomes quite spicy as the almond note begins to appear. It definitely has the poison DNA, albeit not as spectacular as its big sisters.

I think this perfume represents what some of these major brands are trying to do in making some of their holy grail fragrances appeal to a younger audience. Chanel did it with No 5 (we now have L’Eau). To me, this is Dior’s attempt at making their Hypnotic Poison perfume appeal to a younger audience. Not just with the scent, but with putting ‘Girl’ on the title.

It is a gourmand, but In the grand scheme of things a ‘meh’ gourmand. If you’re looking for something with a bit more of a punch and rich sweetness, then definitely go for the hypnotic perfumes instead of this. I reach for this the odd time when I’m feeling like wearing something different. Longevity and sillage is average - when sprayed heavily I do get wafts of it throughout the day, but nothing spectacular.

Siv7Stars

My dealings with this one followed the exact same trajectory as they did for Gucci Guilty. Dismiss perfume at time of launch as tacky looking.. do one test n decide definitely pointless/don't like it.. Ignore for several years. Test again out of sheer boredom one day in Boots because nothing else happening, have epiphany, what was I thinking??! THIS IS GREAT! Absolutely perfectly what I want right now. Winter going out crowd pleaser not difficult, bitter facets that make it interesting n stop it being too treacly.. Iove the orange, I even like the almond hint & I normally HATE almonds :/ bottle is a classic but I still think box design/colours are awful. I went back over the promo pics out of curiosity n was amazed to see Camille Rowe doing a 'fag ash Lil'. Was this the last use of a cigarette to denote 'cool rebel' in advertising? Makes it seem older than it is, lol.

Neurotictoc

My nose must be broken. People love this so much but when I tried it (did 2 separate trials on skin) I absolutely hated it. It is nasty bitter to me. The vanilla in it is it's only redeeming quality but on my skin it does not work. The chemistry is off on my skin with this. It smells like play-doey, plasticcy, rancid bitterness with nice vanilla and almond. But I can't get over the play-doh and rancid sour note... Noooope. Sorry not my thing. Also overpriced af but I guess if your skin chemistry works with this and it fits your nose it must be a good one then. Longevity is great (which was bad sinceI hated this).

Hayven

I only now have smelled this. It’s everything I want in a gourmand: girly, almond/vanilla, orange-cake dream of a perfume. It doesn’t fit in the Poison realm to me but it is a delicious concoction that is quality over many other gourmand offerings.

Gyps

I get sick of reading comments that allude to peoples ages in relation to perfume. I’m older, have grandkids and as far as this being only for young people I say bollox. Perfume is a personal choice and it’s about what you like, what smells good for you - nobody else. Having said that this is a lovely fragrance. I have the EDP and EDT. Both are gorgeous.

Bettybotox

I love wearing the poison line pretty much in Fall and Winter only, with the exception of Tendre which I adore in Spring.
Poison Girl is my favourite to wear in Early Winter. Somehow it suits sunny albeit very frosty or icy days. The bottle is so beautiful and in keeping with the rest of the poison line. I think it's the sweetest poison flanker after its initial burst of citrus its opening minutes, with a beautiful vanilla/sandalwood/tonka bean dry down at the base. Suitable for all ages and not necessarily the reserve for the under 25's. I'm in my 40s and I will keep wearing it at this time of year even if I make it to my 80s.
Really great silage and long lasting. A solid buy that's hard to dislike.

sisii

I have had this for years and during my late teens I used to wear it all the time! So there are a lot of memories tied to this scent. Anyway I smelt my bottle of poison girl again a few days ago and yum! no wonder why I loved this so much! It is a delicious scent! Is it crowd pleasing??? Yes. Does it smell really good?? Also yes.

coffeebean83

After a couple years I still love it. This is one of those fragrances where notes come together to smell like quite a wide range of various things to different people. To me I smell sweet bread straight from the oven, buttered and topped with rich berry sauce/jams. It's just what I've always imaged when wearing this. Last pretty well on me(8hrs-ish). The name is misleading imo; Any age could wear this. Would get again if available. Hope the rumors aren't true about the edp being discontinued...

books.art.dogs

This scent was a bit of a rollercoaster for me. When I first smelled it, I was in love. Very sweet, smooth, and delicious gourmand. (I also love La Vie Est Belle, so clearly I like sweet perfumes.)
Previously, I had tried Hypnotic Poison, expecting it to be this sweet, seductive masterpiece I had heard such raves about. However, the play-doh note in it was so apparent to my nose that it was distracting.
When I actually received my bottle of Poison Girl EDP, I could smell a faint whisper of that play-doh note and was disappointed. I hadn't noticed it at all when I sampled it, but maybe now I was just looking for it?
I'm happy to report I've fallen back in love with Poison Girl despite the faint play-doh note (I really only notice it on clothes during the first hour or so).
Poison Girl is great for lasting and the projection is sublime. Whenever I wear it, at least one person tells me how great I smell. I even wore it to work (I have my own office, so I don't worry about scents being office appropriate too much), and two different people asked me what perfume I was wearing after complimenting my fragrance.
I think I'll always have this Poison Girl in my collection.

KylieBooFace

(Warning: Long Positive Review with Comparisons to Other Fragrances). ETA 11/14/22: it does have more bitterness and less sweetness at first spray. Let it calm into the mid and drydown before making a final decision :)

I finally got my hands on a bottle of this beauty. I believe this is the first Poison Girl I smelled and liked when Ulta sold it, but it was too pricey at the time. Sadly I never see it in stores in the U.S. anymore, but last time I checked Dior still sells it on its official site.

Anyway, I really like the Poison Girl EDT because it is reminiscent of a slightly rosy orange cake. It is cravable and nice for multiple seasons. It is somewhat fresh from the orange but mostly warm and cuddly. It does have a unique DNA to me. It borders like to love, and I have to be in the mood to wear it.

Enter Poison Girl EDP (not yet compared side by side with EDT, just a first impression). It definitely is quite similar to the EDT, but I might actually like it the same, or more, depending on the day. I wore EDP last night and got some positive feedback when I asked a friend ("that's really good"). I do think there is more deep candy-sweetness in EDP. EDP is maybe 95% "warm" and 5% "fresh" in its accords, while EDT is maybe 85% warm and 15% fresh if that makes sense. I think EDP is cravable like the EDT, yet it has somewhat more of fluffy play-doh ish vibe (almond and heliotrope?) like Hypnotic Poison (just a pinch compared to PG EDT). I also really like how deeply sweet PG EDP'S vanilla and Tonka bean are, with some warm balsam and sandalwood to add some grounding and comfort without being too sharp or bitter. I guess there is a small touch of bitterness in both EDP and EDT, but not much to bother me or even notice most of the time. I think it is very faint and enough to make the perfume unique and contribute to its bit of freshness. I had an (unrelated) bout of stomach upset and wanting to wash PG EDP off and apply a primary fresh/mint perfume for a moment. But I am glad i waited. the kiss of vanilla-tinged balsam was comforting and fresh enough for me to leave on as I felt better.

When you think of Poison Girl EDP, think vibes similar to Carolina Herrera Good Girl original and Good Girl Supreme-- there is sweetness with a touch of something "extra" to give some oomph. But, I feel like the Good Girl Line is more sparkling, liquid-sweet and woody if that makes sense, while Poison Girl is more pink, fluffy, and rosy. I don't think Poison Girl leans too "earthy" on me like I know Black Opium original and Illicit Green can (when I am not in the mood for them). As much as I like BO original and Illicit Green, sometimes I just don't want the coffee and whatnot. I see a tiny bit of resemblance with Poison Girl EDP and Black Opium intense in that they are both deeply sweet, have a very light nicely-balanced wood at the base, and have some fluffiness (heliotrope)? But they are very different-- Poison Girl clearly smells "pink" and orangey, with almond instead of coffee. Black Opium has a neat berry and absinthe set of notes (the blue bottle fits it perfectly) with coffee, which makes it special and yet so well-blended I have backups of it.

I think Poison Girl EDP is a wonderful choice for any age, for someone who wants a fluffy orange-almond cake with a drizzle of deeply sweet syrup (not icing or frosting like Burberry Her Elixir), a tiny touch of pretty, slightly bitter orange zest, and a gorgeous bouquet of medium-pink roses and orange blossoms sitting in a clean, ornate vase. I could see this being a nice scent for date night, lounging, seeking coziness in the winter time, or whenever. Like any other strongly sweet fragrance, I would not recommend wearing this if you have a headache, or if you will have a very hot sunny day in the heat. If it is warm, a great alternative can be one spray of the EDT under clothes or (if you like lime) Michel Germain's Tattoo for women.

ellovesperfume

the orange stays in the dry down. Its so alluring and sexy

ivholyneedle

It's not what I usually go for, but I realised... This is the sort of scent men love on women - it's classic for a reason, but I don't think it's overly safe - the almond note is gorgeous and adds quite a bit of dimension to that prominent vanilla, which otherwise I wouldn't like so much

Sweet and flirty, a little intriguing & mischievous, it emits so much warmth 💕

candelario

It is SWEET. Great for younger me. TOO sweet now.

Himani Gupta

Mostly, I love it. Love the warm vanilla and the light powdery-ness. Just a bit bitter and that's not my thing.

minizelda

To me this is a close version of HP! It has the same DNA. I prefer the EDT version over this one!

AnlisaC

this is amazing and wonderful and sexy!! I am older so if I’m saying this it works for me it’s not your usual sweet super young girl scent. This is a wonderful sweet scent but with a mature twist to it! The base notes are what stands out on me, the almond is so well blended and th Tolu balsam is one of my favorites! I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. Honestly I though ugh what’s all this hype about Dior has excellent sweet scents that work well, why do I need this and I’m glad I discovered that I did need this! It doesn’t last super long on my skin but I’ll deal with it! Sillage is comforting and sits close to skin. Great for a daytime party or luncheon. This can be worn in all seasons! Take a chance you’ll be surprised.
Recommended 8/10. Doesn’t last long on MY skin!

MaraCorina

I don't know why this reminds me of Versace crystal noir, I don't smell the black opium at all. But I love this scent, it's sweet, fun, the perfect party scent imo. It is not very sophisticated, but it's sexy and I really enjoy it.

elizthzth

I got this perfume as a gift for my 18th birthday and I LOVE IT. It makes me feel so sexy and edible like a piece of candy, I just wanna keep smelling myself. It blends with the scent of my skin and gives me that feeling that my skin smells like the best toasty vanilla candy smell after the drydown. It's not overpowering it is the perfect sweet but safe scent. I have sprayed the EDT on my skin as a tester, and it's lovely but very different from the EDP, the EDP has a darker and more seductive heavy scent, while the EDT is lighter and has a citrus note even after the drydown. However, the EDP in my opinion lasts longer and radiates more.

mariae9

Not sure if I'm nose blind to this, but I can barely smell anything? Some slight hints of sweet pencil shavings if I put my nose right up to my wrist, but that's it...

Rama Rama

I read as many reviews as i could, but i am truly surprised that i didn't find any mention that this smells exactly like Ellie Saab Girl of now, truly similar. So i wonder if any one has the same note, or i have got a ruined bottle?!

notmariela

Don’t get me wrong, I like this fragrance, it’s a sweet, sexy vanilla with a good performance. That being said, I don’t think it’s anything special. It’s pretty generic and already exist in many similar versions. (Black Opium, La Nuit Tresor etc. to name a few) If you’re looking for a crowd pleaser, this is your girl, but if you want a signature scent to be remembered by, I wouldn’t reach for this.

Jessie James

I feel like I should start by saying this smells nothing like LVEB on me because I see so many people commenting on them smelling the same. I don't find them remotely alike. I hate LVEB and love this. I also don't find this very young or juvenile like some people mentioned. I feel like this would smell great on teens, 20 somethings, moms, grandma's, great-grandma's, etc. lol It's very mass appealing and easy to wear.

It's a nice sweet, warm, powdery, nutty fragrance. Can be very cozy and comforting, or very sexy and sensual depending on the scenario. Perfect for fall and winter and very yummy for date nights or going out clubbing/partying.

The longer this sits, the better it gets. I'm almost on empty and I'll probably purchase a new bottle soon! Highly recommend.

Lolapoop

While bearing strong resemblance to the mother ship it sustained its ownership with head high. Sexy,almondy-vanilla but somehow less imposing and sooo pleasant . Friendly all around -office,household ,barn;)

Laurus

Holy cow. This must be the sweetest fragrance I have ever tested in my life. I have a tester sample and a full size waiting to be opened by me or returned. This is sweet but fresher and juicier sweet than Flowerbomb which I found more spicy sweet. I like this better than Flowerbomb but I still think it really is sweetness overload. I feel like the sillage is enormous too. Definiyely not suitable for hot weather. I think that if I keep the full bottle I wont be reaching it as I will get annoyed by it as it is really on my face sweet and it does not just linger on the background. Never. It is very loud. EDITED: It is too sickening. Returned the big bottle unopened. I learned that I am Not a lover of sweet vanilla and caramel.

amyaz

It's enjoyable but not full bottle worthy for me I think. The powdery almond scent mixed with citrus unfortunately gives me a headache. It is a sharp perfume, not as relaxed as HP, but I know I'll use up the sample.

Sanaahm

I have a love/hate relationship with this fragrance.

It’s a sweet, orange (almost bitter) almond, tonka and vanilla bomb! It’s a BOMB! Omg so dense… it reminds me of Libre intense. Actually I pair them both together and they make a very nice layering combo!

Im not a fan of heavy fragrances and this just sat in my vanity in the back of my 60 + bottles collection and then just a few days ago I was rearranging my vanity for the fall weather and I pulled this one out for a spray! Wanted to test her out again.

& All night I kept getting these wafts of something sweet, dark and hypnotizing. Wow wow wow! Maybe because it sat on my vanity over a year and the vanilla macerated a bit but this is stunning!

It’s longevity and silage age are phenomenal! Massive!

Longevity: 10/10
Silage: 9/10
Fragrance: 8/10

bajablast

Completely disagree with the last few reviews. I think the orange in this gives it a bitter kick which keeps it from being boring. I don't even own this fragrance anymore but I keep leaving reviews because I think about it so often...

karamelle

I could love this one if the orange note in this didn’t exist. I can heavily smell the orange in the beginning which I hate. It turns to a beautiful powdery vanilla in the dry down tho, reminding me of hypnotic poison but sweeter. It’s long lasting but the sillage is weak. I have much cheaper perfumes that has better sillage than this. Not sure if it worths the cash tbh

H.Ahmed95

Delicious Almond and Vanilla. The opening and dry down of this scent is just so mouth-watering. I blind bought this a few years ago but decluttered it to make space for new fragrances. Recently i went perfume testing and tried this again on my wrist and enjoyed it. I went about my day and kept smelling this beautiful, warm nutty scent for hours. I ordered it online the same day. When i received my bottle, i did 4 sprays all over my body, so gorgous, very warm and great for date nights. Its sweet but not La vie est belle sweet, the sweetness comes from the Vanilla, tonka and almond mix rather than a fruity sweet note. So delectable with good performance.

dovey

This does have that dark coffee element of Black opium ( Even though not listed as one of the notes)
However........& As the name emplies "Girl"
It does have a younger more girlish vibe than Black opium
With a drop of bubble gum note added to it 🍬
Sweet Vanilla gourmand elegant scent
For night time & Cold weather

Lindsconn

This is such a well made perfume for winter days and nights. I mainly get vanilla, almond and tonka from this.

This is the kind of fragrance you wear if you enjoy the likes of Black Opium, Good Girl etc. I can definitely smell hints of Hypnotic Poison in here but they’re different enough where you can justify having both.

Poison Girl is like the youngest Poison of the group. Poison for the modern generation.

The projection of this is decent but it’s the longevity that stands out! I find this literally lasts all day without having to respray!

nbazza

Where have you been, all my liiifeeee (as Rhianna would sing). Gosh, this perfume is amazing. I’ve always loved it but hearing that it might be discontinued I bought a small one. I already bought the La Rive FLEUR dupe so I will hope that it’s a nice shoe for it.
So for Poison Girl… damn. Gourmand. I get cherry, licourice, fresh, orange, vanilla and Toni’s bean. This is an absolute masterpiece. I have not smelled anything this good. It’s a confident scent in my opinion. It’s a man eater scent. On YouTube a woman fragrance reviewer invited her boyfriend and he makes fun of it like this is little girl scent because it’s sweet and maybe the pink bottle? which in my opinion is definitely not a little girl scent. Everyone can have their own opinion but I think that was so different to how I see this sexy, confident, mysterious and gourmand perfume. Don’t let the pink bottle fool you. Nothing wrong with it, but maybe the look of the package makes people generalise because it’s “pink”. Us experts can look past it of course, it’s what’s in the bottle which counts. I like the bottle anyway!
My favourite perfume was Good Girl Supreme but now that I have this one, Poison Girl is so sexy and much more loud, unique and confident. It’s almost as if this is what good girl supreme tried to be (sorry, still love you GG supreme.. but for this cool weather I am absolutely loving Poison Girl. It’s powdery, sweet and fresh all at once. I get a bit of the almond with vanilla too. There’s tonka bean in poison girl and good girl supreme which is one of my absolute favourite notes and maybe what makes these two so similar.
I also love miss Dior but poison girl is your super sexy scent. Miss Dior reigns more coco madomoiselle whilst poison girl is your attention grabber, intimate but also party appropriate man eater. So sexy. Dior fragrances are also of highest quality.

If you love this I think you would love Sol De Janiero’s Cheriosa (the popular yellow/gold one as it is a COCONUT with vanilla, gourmand scent. I love these both so much.
I will be so sad if this is actually discontinued. Will be checking and purchasing any dupes since this is a masterpiece. Staying power is ridiculously amazing. Thanks Jeremy fragrance for recommending this in most of his videos!!! A keeper.

Charliejt95

Love, love love ❤️❤️ my all time favourite fragrance!!! The Madicassican Vanilla , the Tonka and almond notes divine!! I always get so many compliments when I wear this! When at the Supermarket or at work. Smells like Sweet classy sophistication on my skin. One of my friends does not like the fragrance on card but comments lot about how she loves this on me.

Fragrance Fan <3

My review is for the EDP version. This smells very yummy. It's very sweet but not exactly lolly-sweet because it's deep and has a creaminess to it. When I first spray it, the citrus notes like the orange and lemon are very strong with a touch of almond but after a few minutes I get the bitter orange, almond, sandlewood  rose and vanilla which are blended nicely.

I think this is an any time, any season scent because it's not strong, to me it's moderate but then becomes a skin scent in an hour sadly. Longevity is very good, I smell it on my skin and clothes the next day. I don't understand why people say it's a young scent, as perfume is ageless. I would rephrase and say it's not a 'childish' scent because it's deep and doesn't smell like candy lol.

I would wear it during the day, running errands, going for lunch or going shopping. I don't consider it a complex or sexy scent so I wouldn't wear it on a night out or date night or anything.

It belongs to the Poison line, it is a different vibe to the other Poisons but its like a day-version, lighter, inoffensive, more wearable version of HP EDT (which I absolutely love). It's pleasant, nothing groundbreaking but nice. Way overpriced though for the fact it has very poor projection so I will enjoy this bottle but not repurchase.

"I am not a girl. I am poison"

You're a basic *beep* is what you are.

Ok ok i might have been particularly rude there. Don't get me wrong. It's a....highly overdone and unoriginal perfume, but tasty and well rounded, I'll give it that. But it has nothing to do with the Poison line and that's my main problem. That, and the fact that the name and colour suggest a particular song which I love and which this scent doesn't live up to whatsoever, so I'm doubly upset.

It's an overly safe, cute, sweet perfume. Orange and vanilla (no, nor bitter orange, just plain orange) create a warm and sweet combination that is reminiscent of cookies. In my country at least, those braid shaped orange vanilla cookies are the most mainstream, traditional, and memory ridden cookies that were brought out to treat guests together with their coffee. The equivalent of butter biscuits for some other countries. You get my point.

So it's a cozy, adorable, and tasty perfume. Warm, better suited for winter, and holds absolutely no surprises. If this perfume were a girl, she'd be the unassuming girl next door that you've been friends with since childhood and ends up becoming your highschool sweetheart and then your wife. Safe, sweet, loving, and absolutely not the bombshell that toys with boys and breaks their hearts.

It's absolutely linear, and horribly overpriced. It's not just that it's a generic smell that could be achieved with the cheapest of basic body shop scents and holds no surprises as the time progresses, it's also that it has virtually no projection and barely hits the 4 hour mark on the skin. It's basically a skinscent. Half an hour after applying it you have to stick your nose to your skin to catch a whiff of it, and it spends the next three hours barely holding onto your flesh before any traces of it disappears.

I'd call it a winter scent, although it's not as cloying as hypnotic poison. But I really think you could do way better than it for less money.

gnathaliegh

This is probably my favourite vanilla out of all the perfumes I've smelled so far. In the opening I immediately get the rose and a hint of orange and after a few minutes the almond and vanilla start to come through and blend together beautifully with the tonka, woody notes and the slight powderiness from the heliotrope. This is super long lasting on me, when I spray this on in the evening, I can still smell it on my skin in the morning. Projection is also really decent. This is a perfect fall and winter fragrance and even though the main note is vanilla, it still makes quite unique in my opinion.
I think I'll need to get a back up since apparently, it's being discontinued. Does anyone know whether this is true or not? I feel like there's been talk about this every couple of months now and quite frankly, I'm just confused at this point.

Pinspatternsandpolish

A strong sweet vanilla fragrance with great projection and lasting power. I can smell berries in here but there are no notes listed. This one is definitely a winter or cold weather fragrance. It would be way too much in the heat as it's quite syrupy and thick smelling.
The lasting power and projection on this is great. Poison Girl is a beautiful, youthful, feminine fragrance that leans more to the gourmand side, not floral at all. I'm a fan but you need the right weather/occasion to wear this.

chimidoro

Gotta say, I am ABSOLUTELY GUTTED to hear that both this and Tom Ford's Femme are being discontinued. They're two of my go-to top favorite candy sweet vanillas.

This one took a lot of back and forth for me, I couldn't make up my mind about it for a long while.
I got this when it was just released, after sampling it (as opposed to blind buying) and it instantly put me in mind of ORANGE SMARTIES.
As a child I LOOOOVED Smarties. Not sure if they have them outside of England but if you're in the know, you'll know what I'm talking about. So good. Christmas selection boxes were just no good if they didn't have Smarties in 'em.

But - and this is a big but - I'm really not all that in to gourmand scents. Really. Hardly any float my boat.
So this was an inner battle for me, coming around to truly loving this over just entertaining the idea and toying with it as a novelty sweet treat.
At one point, in fact, smelling it on a woman walking by with a her brat in a pram - STINKING like she bathed in this stuff, that really tested my ability to love it. It very near put me off. But in the end Poison Girl (as applied with a careful, light hand) totally stole my heart. It's a truly wonderful gourmand, floral scent.
It is so creamy, woody, chocolatey. It lasts ages. Dries down so heavenly.

I don't know if I've said it here before but I'm ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that the Hypnotic Poison flanker (which I own and love) called Eau Sensuelle was a precursor/prototype for Poison Girl. I'm sure of it, it must have been.
This is sweeter, stronger, boasts a different take on the floral character behind the sweetness. But for me they are definitely cut from the same cloth. And sadly, that is also discontinued. Like Tom Ford Femme, which also shares an extremely similar boozy vanilla with both of those.

Thankfully, just one spray of this is more than enough for a modest day's wear.
So I needn't panic about the discontinuation too much, yet....

Panic mode has already set in though and I'm gonna NEED a backup bottle, stat.

Leidy C

Me gustó pero no me encantó. Se me hace similar a La vie est belle. Me mareó un poco de lo fuerte que es pero a la vez fue de poca duración.

Sodastream83

Perfection in a bottle! There is nothing about this scent that I would change. It works for every season and for every mood and occasion. But I have to disagree with any statement that this is a fragrance suited for younger girls. I'm pushing forty and I'll wear this forever.

ally8689

Smells really nice overall. Definitely a great nighttime and date night scent. It smells really similar to black opium but more young and feminine. Love it but don’t think i’ll be buying the full bottle because it’s more of a nighttime scent imo

Rutla

I like this perfume but I am not a fan of the orange notes. Thankfully, they disappear after 30 or so minutes. It lasts REALLY long and smells good but definitely not for every day wear. I prefer the EDT.

Coffeeandscents

Candy sweet vanilla, sugared rose petals and sweet orange syrup. Beautiful and girly and as I said, sweet, but be careful because this can induce a massive headache.

leenee

I don’t know why but now as I’m close to finishing my bottle that I was planning on not repurchasing, I suddenly fell in love with this perfume all over again?
I think my problem with it was mostly with the citrusy notes but maybe as my bottle has took time to age a little I’m getting more of the sweet, almondy powderiness
it just smells even more soft and feminine to me now and I can’t stop wearing it all the time

claudiasweet

I don't get it!! I tried a tester in the airport and the smell was pure Vanilla, very sweet and delicious then I ordered it and it turned out different!!
This time I feel it bitter, and a very very faint smell of vanilla but not sweet enough. It even gives me nausea and a slight stomach pain, if that is even possible?! I really detest bitter smell. Then I thought to try to layer it with a sweet soft perfume so I tried it with Viva la Juicy Gold Couture and it's better with it. It takes away that bitterness and seems that it cuts my nausea too. At least it's not another loss of money this time.
I still don't get it why the tester was better than the actual perfume. Could it be that the tester was EDT in fact?
Sometimes, when not layered, it turned in something that reminded me of Alien.

ursulet

I love this scent. First off, very good performance. Very long lasting and it projects strongly. It smells sweet but not in a bad way, because it has a little bit of freshness that balances it out. Not necessarily juvenile. Even tho it gives playful, cute, flirty vibes it s also a very sexy, provocative fragrance. It is def a compliment getter.

Tinabill

Poison Girl totally deserves her place in the Poison family. Maybe she doesn’t have the looks of grandma Poison but she certainly carries her confidence and strength of character, she looks a tad similar to her mom Hypnotic but yet she’s unique enough. I think she’s the victim of a lame name and a tacky ad campaign, but is a very beautiful and alluring smell all the same.
She might not be a trend setter like grandma (where Loulou and Cobra followed), or like HP (where Kenzo Amour followed). Here, maybe, she followed the vanilla-almond-tonka tracks of her generation (a genius and beautiful combination by the way - probably set by Burberry Brit) but she elevated it more than them, she performs extremely well (better than Brit, Tardes and Girl of Now). She is also more nuanced and complex when compared to them; I love the bitter sweetness from the bitter oranges and probably bitter almonds, the darkness of tonka and tolu and the smooth coziness of sandalwood. And she is more elegant than other popular gourmand peers (YSL BO and LVEB can be obnoxious if over sprayed). PG is a flanker, not a trend setter but still more unique than recent Dior pillars like Joy or even J’adore which I find mediocre.
Poison girl is just a BEAUTIFUL, elegant, nutty, deep vanilla 💕❤️💖. I don’t understand the hate.

KittyTrinket

Been wearing this perfume for little over a year now and I love it! During the summer this gives strong sweet vanilla scent, but in my opinion it’s not adolescence at all. In the wintertime I think it gives slightly different wibe, but obviously it’s very similar - maybe just not as sweet as during the summer. I love sweet vanilla perfumes and this has been the best so far. So for me this is definitely a signature perfume that I’ll be wearing forever 🖤

Samsssriker69

When I tried it the first time, I fell in love with how sweet it was. I'm glad I did not purchase it from Ulta though, because the second time I tried it, the almond smell was wayyyyy stronger and came off like play-doh as a lot of other people are saying. I think if it kept its sweetness without the almond part it would be alright but would not recommend smelling like play-doh for $80.

chloegrace043

i love love LOVE this perfume!! makes me feel like such a girly girl wearing it. perfect for fall IMO. has such a pretty soft scent.🎀

likesleet

i don’t have anything against it, but this just feels like a blend of poison & hypnotic poison. and it makes more sense to just pick one of the two because they have their own unique strengths.

the smell is more muted hypnotic poison with additional fruitiness akin to poison. ok to me

ArianaS

When I tried this in the shop I liked it and bought it but when I sprayed it other times on myself I hated so I gave it away. After few years again in the shop I loved it, I forgot completely I used to have this so I bought it again. After some days when I wanted to use this I disliked it even more than last time so I gave it away again. Now for sure i know this is totally not for me. I think I wanted so much to love this because Pure Poison and Hypnotic Poison are loves for a lifetime but Poison Girl has something repulsive in but don’t know what.

Nnif

When I got this in the middle of winter I disliked it. It was plain and just smelled like I walked into a perfume store. Nothing special, just meh.
Now I love it? The weather has been great the past few weeks and this perfume just started living in these higher temperatures!
So, for me, not a winter/autumn scent, but definitely spring and I think some (not too hot) summer days :)

Sierra_b

The most delicious vanilla is there on this perfume 😋 yum yum yum.

Dashalu

Nobody does vanilla like Dior :) and even when I’m sick of vanilla - Dior’s vanilla will always be good vanilla lol. This has the dna of poison which I remember from high school. Most amazing scent ever! Too bad for the reformulations and regulations. It has bitter orange, orange blossom, roses, and Dior’s vanilla. Those are the notes I pick up the most. Some have described it as an orange creamsicle but to me it’s more of a boozy orange. In the opening it’s a boozy syrupy like orange liquor and dry down is a nutty Jasmine with slight sweetness, bitterness from the bitter orange, almond, spicyness, and a little powder. Though jasmine and almond isn’t listed in the EDT. I can smell something like that. It’s festive and edible. Love that little velvety powder in the dry down mixed with the sweetness. I think that’s my favorite part. It opens up zingy and young but settles into a smooth mature (not old) scent. Feminine and sexy. I think this one should sit and age a bit after opening. As with Dior Addict, and the poison line - I am at home with this one. A brunette wearing black who is carefree, independent, and confident is what comes to mind. Nice for colder months but could be worn in warmer weather too. It’s cozy. Bottle and juice is beautiful. We don’t have the original Dior Poison/Addict anymore but at least we still have this… which is a little bit of that memory.

ladolcemae

I’ve already written about this perfume but my relationship with it has changed a lot so it looks fair to update it !
When I first bought my bottle in october 2021, the orange was way too overwhelming and I wanted to return it. But then, there was this almond/vanilla/jasmine combo… So i just stopped wearing it, and let it sit for a few months. We’re in may 2022, and I’m obsessed with it. I feel like it bloomed, the smell has deepened, gotten stronger but also more interesting and sensual. The bitter orange is bright and fresh, but it’s immediately accompanied by the vanilla and almond. I urge you, if like me, your experience with your bottle when you first bought it was different than when you smelt it in store, to LET IT SIT until the liquid inside darkens. The darker the berry, the sweeter the juice right ?
Poison Girl is intoxicating on my skin, it’s giving the longevity and sillage that lacked with Hypnotic. Appropriate in any weather, particularly during the night. I don’t get the nightclub vibe, but rather the sexy/shy/psycho anime antagonist aesthetic. You know, she’s 5’2, but has this aura of danger. I’m very glad I was too lazy to return the bottle.

Gemsense

This is even amazing in spring weather! I'm in love with this!

rosebv

I love love love this perfume (EDP). However the longevity is very poor on my skin. I tried to layer with hypnotic poison edp but the scent of poison girl is too precious to layer in my opinion. This is a very addictive fragrance so if you like it buy the 100 ml because you will have to reapply this perfume more than once during the day.

nateya

I only smell the base notes with this one and I’m not mad about that. It’s a very sweet vanilla with undertones of woody, nutty & powdery notes. It’s a light fragrance but it smells wonderful.

candi_n_spice

Update: It's slightly cooler today, cloudy, and I just gave this another try. I do like it better than my first impression, and think it will actually be a winner for autumn and winter. I'm getting the tonka pretty intensely, as well as orange, roses, vanilla, and almond. It is pretty yummy, I must say. It also seems stronger today, one spray was sufficient, so the issues below were likely due to the heat. It is definitely deeper and better than Candy Gloss, though there is still something similar about it.

Testing this, and not sure if I like it. Most of the notes are things I like, which is why I ordered a decant, but on me I guess the cashmeran and woods are really prominent, and I'm not loving that. It is sweet, which I love, and I do love the citrus, florals, vanilla, and tonka. It just seems those things are getting overpowered by something else that I'm not crazy about smelling on myself. It also seems pretty weak. I had to do a few sprays, and it's still not nearly as potent as one spray of some men's frags I've tried recently. I'll see how it wears, and if my husband comments, and have a few more wears with my decant, will update if I change my mind. It might be better in winter. For now, I just don't find it very interesting or impressive. I do like when more adult notes juxtapose the sweet and girly, just not these particular notes!

Reminds me of Prada Candy Gloss, which I have in full size. It's funny, this smells like cherry to me even though that's not listed. Candy Gloss has cherry, and otherwise several similar notes to this, except it doesn't have the cashmere woods, so I prefer it, at least in warm weather.

aklimerb

The dry down literally smells like buttercream frosting😍 I love it so much!

Abjora

Sweet, vanillary, ever slightly dark, and a touch of citrus freshness. I love this flanker. If you like Hypnotic Poison but want something lighter and a tad sweeter then this is the one. Its a winter scent but I'm going to try to wear it this spring since it's not as heavy.
Also, not exactly related but I can't help but to sing the HIM when I wear it 🖤
"I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love's heart is death
For me and my Poison Girl"~

seliko

i always thought that this smelled like diluted hypnotic poison, not as dense yet very similar, however nowadays i agree more that this is a juvenile hypnotic poison. it opens up fruity, exactly like the edt, but then quickly turns nutty. as it settles, it resembles hypnotic poison more, however overall it lacks the sweet and sultry aroma that hypnotic poison intensely carries. (maybe the sexiness comes more forward however it’s only a reminder of hypnotic poison. this is the part where you could call poison girl “diluted”) i think that poison girl is more appropriate for 24/7 wear. plus, you already know that if you want to experience the sexy, captivating woman that you are, hypnotic poison is the one.

Aglopez09

The scent is beautiful and cozy but the longevity and silage ruined it for me :( . All in all I believe this smells sweeter and cozier than the edt

bajablast

I had this and I miss it so bad. To me this perfume is about being young, promiscuous and embodied. I think it's especially magical on a night out. My friend said I smell like a sexy witch.

nikkiszabs

I blind bought this perfume, and even though it's nice, it's not my favorite. So, I have a full 3.4oz bottle if anyone is interested! (:

clairesque

I like this perfume more than Girl of Now or Black Opium... but I still don't LOVE it. Although Poison Girl isn't quite as syrupy sweet as GON, it's still too sweet for my taste. The citrus and/or basalm notes also give the fragrance a certain sharpness. Underneath the cloying sweetness and sharpness, I can get faint whiffs of a gorgeous sweet, powdery, floral fragrance that I adore, but it never fully comes out. Maybe I'll revisit this in the wintertime.

peachpony

I'm not discrediting the obvious love that this perfume has, but for me, it was nauseating. I am still figuring out what my loves are as I've typically loved citrus/fresh scents, and I keep trying to expand to this sweet vanilla world everyone loves. I have Baiser Vole Essence that I bought because a cute guy I worked with thought it smelled good (silly girl!) and it's the same too sweet overwhelming headache. I loved the cheapo warm vanilla sugar when I was in high school, so I know I like some sort of vanilla. This was just not it. Maybe I'm just a cheapo kinda gal. I found this to be one note the entirety of its longevity, but did find it rather delicious at the end of the evening in its full dry down. The hunt for a good vanilla continues!

Majestic_Toad

I don't particularly like very sweet perfumes, but I find myself reaching for Poison Girl when I feel like wearing something a little different. It is perfect for a night out. I don't get much citrus in this. Mostly vanilla and tonka.

ScentedNorms

I love sweet fragrances but this is not it. To me it almost smells like cough syrup.

Marisu

I've just received my bottle - it smells very similar to YSL Cinema in the dry down. I'm surprised that other people don't get such vibe. It's absolutely gorgeous anyway.

Rozalina

Tonka BOMB! This actually reminds me of a more syrupy, much less refined Feve Delicieuse. I have a feeling this is one of those gourmands where the smell varies greatly depending on your skin and on the season etc. Personally not a fan, I think it's a little too cakey.

missmaddiemac

I find it crazy that ‘Rose’ doesn’t show up at all on the list of main accords…that’s most of what I get from this! I’m a fan of the perfume and the longevity is great but I much prefer the EDT. It’s more balanced (i.e., I get more than just rose) even though it doesn’t last quite as long.

pulcinella

I keep hearing about this being discontinued, but it still shows up in the Dior website. If it really is discontinued I will have to stock up, because this is one of my all time faves. I get why people were annoyed at the PG marketing, because it is lame; as much as I am all for equality, using feminism to sell perfume is stupid.

Nevertheless, this is a good one. I don’t get any rose at all, just citrus on the first spray, that quickly settles into a pleasant vanilla-almond creamy cloud, with sandalwood and tolu in the background. It’s really pleasant and it blooms in cold weather, it’s not really wearable in hot days because it becomes cloying. The almond note is a little bitter and cuts throught the sweetness nicely, so it’s not too sugary.

I actually felt like Miss Dior 2021 is a fresher, more linear version of PG, probably because if the vanilla-sandalwood drydown. As basic as they are, love both of them to death and will keep wearing them as long as they’re available! Which, knowing Dior and their reformulations, won’t be long.

ETA: I call it basic lovingly, but there’s not much I can think of that’s similar to PG. Not any of the fragrances listed in the similar to list is remotely close (black opium????). Maybe girl of now since they both have almond in it, but still…

seliko

a sweet scent, not an edible gourmand though. once it settles, it’s very pleasant, however i can’t get past the playdoh. if you can, i see why people call this a seductress scent. there’s something so sultry and captivating about this poison apple. also i love the bottle and the color of the juice. i’ve seen some people mention a reformulation since poison girl edp has allegedly been discontinued, i am excitedly waiting for the release if that is true, i feel like if they remove the playdoh aspect of this fragrance this will hold everyone on a leash. i hope that someone from dior sees this lol.

tanny_ups

This perfume is very sweet, however I don’t get the hype! I thought I would love it, as it is highly recommended in the fragrance world, but it’s not for me. The performance is average

Rober7a

It's reeeaaally sweet. Not headache inducing and heavy, more like a brighter hard candy toothache. Even if sprayed lightly It's too sweet, and I love gourmands, even Pink Sugar seems more gentle than this!! I literally had a fly chasing me outdoors when I was waiting in a queue, so I was waving it off like a maniac. xDD and once the queue ended and I got inside, I've felt a bug crawl up my neck next to where I sprayed...that was it for me with Poison Girl. I enjoy a sweetness from time to time, but not the kind to attract insects and feel like I'm getting diabetes at the same time.

GUADELUPA

It's very sweety and nice scent! Tolu balsam, tonka bean, rose and almond - these notes I can smell most of all. Extraordinary and gorgeous fragrance! Real sweet poison for any girl and woman! Longevity and sillage are all day long. Better suitable for winter, but warm and tender in any season. In any way, be careful when applying it - poison may become real poison, if you use it too much. It's wonderful in its mildness. I like it!

SimonsTux

Dior CS confirmed that the EDP will be discontinued, so get a backup if you can find it. This is the most beautiful scent I have ever smelled. It's incredible. Sweet but not too sweet, still complex, deep, sexy, powdery, still unique, not too heavy. Crowd pleaser for sure! It's well blended, I can't pick out all the notes but the tonka base and orange blossom gives it a lot of range -- day/night/year round. Gets a lot of compliments and it's not as common as you'd think. Longevity is incredible. 10/10.

Lunaticorn

I love this scent, it's in my top two! It's feminine, sexy, floral, hypnotic and sweet but not overpoweringly so and it's suitable for all ages to be honest! It's just so good. I'd wear this on a date night!

FlowerBabe

A pleasant vanilla based perfume with a sweet scent, wore it on my wrist today and kept sniffing it throughout the day. Lasted around 5 hours. I feel like a lot of vanilla based perfumes are not distinctive. It reminds me of Libre Intense YSL.

mariboo

Favourite perfume ever. It represents everything I stand for. It's glamorous, sexy, powerful, fun, youthful, elegant. I feel the most confident when I wear it. And I very often get compliments on it. Perfect for baddies on a night out. A true masterpiece.

jinglebells

I snapped up a slightly used 100ml bottle for a steal of a deal, after smelling the edt in the shops I loved it but the smell did fade very fast from the paper. After seeing reviews saying the dry down is essentially the same I decided to get the edp.

This is indeed very similar to the edt but much deeper and thicker and richer, edt is like an orange creamsicle and edp is more like a dense orange fruit cake covered with nuts and syrup. It does smell very sexy and sultry, however it is just too dense and sweet for me, unfortunately gives me a horrible headache. The only fragrances to give me a headache are this and girl of now forever, not sure what the correlation is.

Anyways I’ll give poison girl edp a few more tries, but it’s likely to be decluttered, since I’m eyeing up girl of now and it’s a similar vibe but I like it a lot more.

Update: decluttered this and purchased girl of now :)

AleshaA

Not bad smells like other perfumes I’ve had before very similar to la belle intense
does smell a little like midnight poison it may be the bitter orange and rose
kind of disappointed there is no longevity or silage it’s extremely weak the bottle I’m holding from 2021 it is wearable during night outs or dinner for any age 21+ for an edp it’s kind of light the tonka is mellowed out from the citrus i do enjoy the opening I really hoped this would have been more like HP edp my fav ;)

mandyads

I've been wanting to get my hands on Dior Poison Girl EDP for so long now and finally did! I really loved the EDT upon first smell at Sephora (the orangesicle, my notes were "love. super sweet, but not sexy"), but after seeing the notes of the EDP and the reviews (YouTube especially)... I thought it was much more up my alley and would be a better bang for buck with longevity. To give some reference, Hypnotic Poison EDT is one of my favorite fragrances due to the heavy vanilla and almond dreaminess (two of my favorite notes), so I have no problem with density or darkness in fragrances.

Before I even opened it, I was quite surprised at the smell of this. I said "surely, this smell is not coming from this bottle." So I sprayed it that night and was immediately disappointed. I then decided to do a full wear test the next day... there was still something I didn't quite love about it. I've only seen one other YouTuber describe it accurately.... It does indeed have a very strong powdery cosmetic smell. People keep describing it as "sweet, syrupy and delicious" and I'm not so sure about that after the opening. It's sweet, but it might be too "make-up compact" smelling for my liking. People are calling this gourmand and I think that is a huge misnomer. Everything sweet is "gourmand" now. Only the opening of this is gourmand to me, because you get that ssyrupy-citrusy-vanilla. The dry down is sweetness without edible notes, because the almond is just powdery rather than nutty. I'm not sure how to classify Poison Girl EDT without sniffing it again, but Hypnotic Poison EDT is for sure gourmand... not this.

It smells way more mature than the Poison Girl EDT and the powdery part of the fragrance completely dominates for me. I actually tend to like powdery fragrances, but "baby powder" and "make-up powder" ones are not really my favorite. I like the texture of powder, but not really the strong smell of it. The opening is the most syrupy part of this fragrance and the only part that made me second guess immediately decluttering it... but after the zesty syrup dries down, you are left with a still sweet... but powdery, perfumey bitter sharpness that gives an overall dusty texture. Guess we will see what happens as I test it more and more, but I'm not sure if this will last too long in my collection. I wanted to love this!

UPDATE: After trying it multiple times and testing both the opening and the dry down... I've decided to declutter. I'm so upset that I do not interpret this the way it is raved, because I know I would be in love with it if I did. I really love the opening, but the dry down is not a fragrance I would pick up - it's nice, but too cosmetic smelling. This is a rare fragrance that I know someone will appreciate much more than I do. Especially at 100ml, haha.

2nd UPDATE: If I smell really deeply (I'm talking nose pressed on skin with multiple sniffs), I finally can pick up on the nutty nuances in the fragrance. I've received many offers on this fragrance, but decline them (even if they are good offers) because I have a hard time letting it go. I don't reach for it, but it's just the principle. I wonder if it will continue to grow on me or maybe if I would like it in spring weather, where it might come off even more sticky and sweet rather than powdery. I probably should have decanted some for myself and sold the bottle, but it's too late to decant it - doesn't feel right. Maybe because I know it's discontinued...

Final Update: I recently purchased Elie Saab Girl of Now and it’s everything I wanted PG to be. Not to say they are similar, but there is a vague similarity right in the opening. After that flash of similarity, they go in completely different directions. Girl of Now is syrupy, nutty, borderline cloying if not sprayed carefully. There is no powderiness and the sweetness takes the cake compared to PG. Based on the description of fragrance reviewers, Girl of Now smells like what they described Poison Girl EDP to be. I’m happy with my declutter and replacement, as Girl of Now has easily made my top 10 in my collection and top 5 for cooler months.

Marcnsabo

THE SEXIEST PERFUME EVER. It’s my signature scent I would honestly kill for it, it opens with a kind of an orange syrup scent, but the dry down smells like some kind of vanilla and Tony’s bean dessert, it smells soooo good, GET IT. Everything in it is perfect, the projection is 2 hours maybe, it lasts for about 8 hours for me. But it’s honestly one of my favorites. AN OBSESSION

Luyandaam

this gets better as it sits. First spray for me is not my favorite because I get the citrus trying to come up alongside the vanilla and woods and it’s a mess 😂 it smells like pee (like a baby peed on you or something) or saliva (again think of a baby drooled all over a bib and the bib hasn’t been washed) ….BUT let it sit for a while because what’s about to come next is nothing short of delicious. I kept getting whiffs of this today and I’d be like “aaahh 🤤” drooling over myself. I wore it at home while I was doing nothing, sprayed it on at around 10am and it’s currently 1am the next day and I can still smell it on my skin. So it lasts for an eternity, I cannot wait to wear this out when the weather is cooler like today 😌😍

You guys this lasts sooooo soooo long it’s actually insane ! I wore again for the day and as I was going to bed the left over on my skin got on the covers and now the covers smell like vanilla and sweets 😭🥺 felt like I was sleeping next to an Angel.

princesslopez4890

Currently playing around with a 30ml. At this time it’s a like for me. It’s a beautiful fragrance and perfect for date night. It’s sweet, seductive, sexy, and alluring but not juvenile, cloying or nauseating. When it comes to these sweet date night type of scents, I prefer girl of now or the original good girl. I may purchase a back up 30ml just to keep in my arsenal maybe for layering. Also, give scandal by night and mon guerlain intense a try!

I scored a small sample vial. Prior to using, I was wondering what constitutes this "girl" title-- I can't imagine appreciating it, even when I was a young girl. It feels condescending, particularly in contrast with the Poison. I did layer this as well-- probably not the best way to sample a new fragrance, but I couldn't imagine purchasing this, when there are so many others that I am wanting. I used an oak and vanilla shower gel, and Victoria Secret Bombshell Oud body mist. Then I doused myself in the entire tiny Poison Girl sample.

I totally get the 'Girl' in the name now. This is a lovely, angelic take on a usually moody amber vanilla theme. It is a fragrance for those that covet the dark scents on others, but don't feel they can pull it off themselves. I would recommend this for an emo teen, or a young person who enjoys a bit of intrigue, but gets a headache from too much drama.

As for notes, I get the cashmeran, vanilla, rose, and the citrus at the top.

**Edit** 2 hours in the heart has opened up. I get the tonka, the tolu, and the rose has intensified. It really is just beautiful. Sometimes cashmeran burns my nose, but it doesn't happen here.

I still can’t seem to make up my mind about this one. The first time I smelled this I was blown away. How could something smell so good? I kept sniffing my arm over and over again. But then a few minutes in, it settled into something I couldn’t quite put my finger on, and it became the predominant accord. The best I can describe it is like a weird musk - a skin scent that somehow clings to your clothes - if that’s even possible. And not in a nice way either.

Strangely though, I found myself craving the smell the next day. And the next. I’d wear it, sniff it for a while, then wish I didn’t. Today though, I layered it with Victoria’s Secret’s Scandalous and oh my god, two hours in, it has become this amazingly delicious smell I can’t get enough of. Gone is that weird musky smell. Gone is any of the unpleasantness. Just pure yummy goodness.

Maybe there’s hope for this after all.

When I first smelled it out of the bottle I was like huh. Okay. It’s nice, I guess. Whatever. But then I couldn’t stop smelling my sample, so I bought it. I wore it for a week and enjoyed catching a whiff of it throughout the day (the longevity is crazy!!), but when I really started to appreciate it was on a lazy Sunday morning when I grabbed an old tee and it smelled soo nice when I put it on, so cozy and comforting. And I realized it was Poison Girl!
It is very sweet but the warm, spicy base gives it dimension and piques your interest, makes you wanna smell it again.

It keeps growing on me and has a high chance of becoming my signature, honestly. One spray is more than enough, though. I made a guy sneeze with two… whoops

For years this was my signature perfume. It's playful, sensual, sugary sweet with a touch of scandalous– everything a young girl wants to be.
I discovered Poison Girl because its commercial featuring Camille Rowe was used in a montage for a fan edit video of an unreleased Lana Del Rey song. I will forever associate this scent with that song and a couple others (the actual song used in the commercial is good too, but I feel it doesn't quite capture Poison Girl's essence). If you're a big fan of miss Lana then you'll know that many of her unreleased music, especially her older ones, are more pop-sounding and adolescent than her official discography. Poison Girl is exactly that.
Longevity is ok, sillage is apparently really good. My friends used to always ask what perfume I'm wearing even though I can never detect it. This is a scent perfect for going on dates and ending the night in someone else's room, in my opinion.

It's different on everybody. On me, it doesn't last long and smells like powdery kids perfume. On my friend, it was delicious. Try it out. It does feel like it's trying a little hard to be Black Opium, but it doesn't compete in my opinion!!

This perfume is HEAVEN SENT! I tried it in Sephora and instantly fell in love. It got better and better as it settled into my skin. I really get those orange, tonka bean, and rose notes. It's warm and sexy for day & night. Very head turning. I feel so confident wearing this! This is my new signature now and I couldn't be happier.

Frenchghost

Its okay a smoothly calm ~velvety~slightly sweet~ almond feminine scent...very relaxing&calming...lasts only 3-4 hours for me on my skin just too boring for me,pretty &well blended otherwise

I like this a lot! I cannot really point out a note in particular, it just smells really deep and sweet to me.
Surprinsingly, I find it quite mature even though it is named "Poison Girl". I thought it would be more juvenile. Doesn't keep me from liking this fragrance though!
I am curious about the EDT version, I read the opening was more citrusy and I think I might like it even more than the EDP because of that.

The more I wear it, the more I like it! It is less mature than I initially thought, and I still cannot detect a note in particular, but it is nice and so so sweet and it makes me feel good!
I don't get citrus in the opening at all, on my skin it goes straight to a yummy sweet scent.

I love this scents. It’s is warm, sweet and a little spicy. Just how I like it. When I wear this I can’t stop smelling my wrist. It’s a complex fragrance, but accessible at the same time. When you smell this scent, its sparks your interest, it lures you in. You can’t quite pinpoint what exactly it is you smell, but evokes emotion. It gives me warm cozy sexy vibes. Imagine running away with your lover to a cabin in the woods, where sit at the fireplace, telling each other stories until talking isn’t important anymore because you want each other so much. This fragrance doesn’t scream sex like Black Opium does (don’t get me wrong, I (controversially) love that fragrance, especially the intense version). Poison girl does its name right. It lures you in with its sweetness, only to slowly take control of you with its deeper notes, like a poison. Don’t get fooled by the “girl” in the name. This isn’t a juvenile scent in the slightest. You need a certain confidence to pull this off. I wouldn’t say it’s a “bad girl” scent like Si Intense, no, I imagine a beautiful classy girl or woman wearing this, being perfectly behaved when she needs to be, but ready to show her wild side in private.

Side note: If you want to get complimented by men, wear Poison Girl.

UPDATE: I wore this fragrance on New Years Eve and a male friend of mine was literally in love with my scent. When he hugged me he looked me in the eye and said “damn you smell incredible! What is that! I’ve never smelled anything this alluring before”. Whenever we talked he came a little close to me, wanting to get more of my scent. I felt amazing and confident. Maybe it’s this positive experience (among others) that I associate with Poison Girl, but i my makes me feel so sexy and good about myself. And in the end, that’s what a fragrance is supposed to do.

Catnipple

I found myself captivated & hooked by this scent for years, something about it's simplicity syrupy licorice yummy goodness makes me so happy i can't see myself without this fragrance absolutely adore it! one of my favorite and best vanilla gourmand fragrances out there.

Anast4s1a

I didn't understand and didn't appreciate it right away. And set aside. The fragrance was solved on a cold evening when pouring snowy dust. Then it's cozy, semidry, yummy scent similar to orange-candied sponge, soaked in rum and vanilla with an interlayers of cherries jam and scattered by almond crumbs on top. Enveloping in playful chic, undoubtedly girlish and joyful. Avalanche of cosmetics in the base : so are smell lipsticks, balms, powders, blushes, shadows pallettes snd brushes, boxes candy & cookies everywhere in filled with dark roses room.

This might sound silly but I stayed away from this one for years because I didn't like the name. I thought this was supposed to be a fragance for teens and since i'm into more mature scents lately, it didn't really got my attention.
I tried it out of curiosity the other day and I have to say i'm very pleased. Yes, the opening it's a bit generic and yes, it's not mindblowing but there's something about this perfume so classy and femenine yet sexy and well put together. I'm not a fan of Rose notes but works very well here, I don't think this is a Gourmand perfume besides being sweet, since it's ballanced nicely between flowers and vanilla.
I must say I was dissapointed on Dior since they came out with Miss Dior (2021) and I feel like this was the direction they should've followed with that one. But they did a really good job with Poison girl! (I still wish they called it poison woman 😂)

pashaagirl

it Was totally a blind buy. I actually like it. I used to use Hypnotic Poison for 10 years but stopped using it because of literally EVERYONE smelled like HP. So I stayed away from all those Poison fragrances for years. 2 days ago I decided to buy Poison Girl. It does not remind me of the Flagship HP, no. But I think there's similarity to Lolita Lempicka smh. I get Licorice vibez absolutely. This is IMO the little Sister of Lolita Lempicka.
