J'Adore In Joy by Dior is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. J'Adore In Joy was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top note is Sea Salt; middle notes are Jasmine Sambac, Ylang-Ylang, Neroli and Tuberose; base note is Peach.

One of the pillars of the current perfume line from Dior, J`Adore, gets a new edition in the spring of 2017 called J`Adore In Joy. The fragrance is announced as the scent of joy, love for life, instant fun and the exclamation of spring. It is said to be a daring fruity- floral with a salty taste.

In-house perfumer Francois Demachy adds an unexpected and unusual touch of salt to the warm floral composition, inspired by the natural phenomenon and finest gourmet salt "Fleur de Sel". This salty accord in the top of the composition emphasizes the combination of white flowers that includes sambac jasmine, neroli, tuberose and ylang-ylang from Grasse. An accord of ripe peaches in the perfume’s base gives the whole composition a fruity touch.

J'adore In Joy comes in a renewed bottle with liquid gold-peach-colored sparkles that diffuse the light thanks to the convex bottom. The fragrance is available in bottles of 50 and 100 ml.

this was the first perfume i ever bought with my own money, and for some reason was my signature all throughout high school (mostly because it was the only perfume i owned lol) which is crazy because in my opinion no 14 year old girl should be wearing white florals 24/7

this is still mostly fine but i associate it entirely with school dances and football games and high school drama. and for that reason j'adore in joy i'm sorry my dear but you are in the bottom this week

Graciegrace

I don't like the opening it smells cheapo, and most likely because of its white floral notes (i'm not a white floral person). The drydown is soft but very skin scent. Last for only 2-3 hours.

Happycamel

I'm so glad I only got a sample of this instead of buying a whole bottle, because I really really hate it! I've had to scrub it off (multiple times as it was persistent). I enjoy all the floral and fruity notes listed so it must be the salt. I was really looking forward to this and I love the original J'adore so I'm disappointed. Smells nothing like J'adore unfortunately.

LEM922

Ooooo! Immediately, I like this! The saltiness comes straight through on top, with the delicate white florals following behind. A touch of peachy yellow flowers at the base, and this is honestly summertime floral perfection. The shampoo-like scent of the original j’adore has been replaced with an almost beachy vibe… J’adore, to either its advantage or detriment, smells very 90s (I personally love all eras of perfumery, so this isn’t necessarily a con to me) but this smells a lot more modern, without losing its original characteristics. I really like this! This, and Absolu, are my favorites of the J’adore line.

nisarsarah9

Fresh, Feminine, absolutely love the white floral touch and can be worn in any season. Love it!

AUyliong

Starts off very different from other J'Adore flankers I've smelt. It starts off bright and fruity. I believe that's the peach with just enough white florals in the background to ground it.

So far the white florals don't seem indolic. I'm getting none of the urine-like overripe white floral scent I get from the original 1999 J'Adore or YSL's Mon Paris. Whatever they did here smells much better, cleaner and younger.

20 mins in the bright juicy peach has dissipated and J'Adore's signature indolic white flower scent has taken over. The indolic scent is well-tamed however so it never goes overly putrid.

J'adore in Joy is a boardwalk, beachy, solar, sandy perfume that actually reminds me of Miami Glow by Jennifer Lopez. Miami Glow is more tropical and fruity, but they both share that unmistakable sandy, solar, beach accord.

I actually don't think that J'adore in Joy smells like any of the other J'adore flankers or even like the original J'adore Dior - but that's just my own personal experience. J'adore in Joy smells like it's own unique beachy perfume.

If you enjoy sandy, coastal, solar, beachy scents like the ones below, I think you would enjoy J'adore in Joy:
- Replica Beach Walk
- JHAG Vanilla Vibes
- Miami Glow - Jennifer Lopez
- Beachfront Blanket - Bath and Body Works
- Tease Dreamer - Victoria's Secret

Thranduil

Fine. Fresh. Feminine. 💅🏻

A beachy take on the original J'adore, and Olympéa's much more well put together sister.

Such a refreshing and elegant blend of salt, peach, and jasmine.

I've had this fragrance for a while now, ever since it was launched. It's a Like for me. Nothing groundbreaking, pleasant and fresh with no usual suspects like lemons or mint. It's sparkling and light, like bellini. Peach usually leaves cheap and plastic feel, but there are no such downsides here.
This S/S season I finally keep it in the front as my most reached for fragrance. Baccarat and the clones are EVERYWHERE so I thought that this one has the trendy mineral vibe, but in a decent, subdued and non-intrusive way. Perfect for daytime in the hot coastal town, where I live. That's in theory. My disappointment lays in the longevity - there's none. The dent in the bottle is evident, all drained this season. Alas, I can't smell anything by the time I leave the house. I unsealed it myself and kept properly (obsessively) in the cool dark cabinet, with the rest of my collection. If i didn’t know better, I'd suspect that it hasn't been stored properly and therefore lost the performance quality. It's that weak. The first sprays are lovely refreshing and mineral as they should be and then it's gone. Beautiful presentation, beautifully colored liquid, but shockingly illusive scent.
As a reference, and a sort of a reply to the reviewer below: I too do consider L'Or the gem in the J'Adore line and I certainly wouldn't mind investing in a bottle, whereas In Joy can't be compared to it from any aspect, especially not the "value for money".

Rozalina

A salty note done right!
If you enjoy the original Olympea for its upscale (or if you're cynical, wannabe upscale) salty, beachy aroma but over time start to pick up on its rather synthetic nature, give this one a try. I don't remember what J'Adore or any of its myriad flankers smell like so I can't compare (although, raving reviews lauding J'Adore Or as the perfect warm white floral have really piqued my interest in that one, and I will try to hunt down a sample).
J'Adore in Joy is quite well-blended. Nothing is "too" much in here and I struggle to pick out individual notes on my skin other than the prominent salt which undergirds the creamy concoction. In Joy is a simple, solar white floral that is perfectly safe for the indole-avoidant.
This would be lovely on sun-bronzed skin dressed up in a breezy white cotton dress.

freshperfumer

Too bad it's discontinued. I wish I could find this in Dior boutiques or Sephora's etc.. I love salty notes and really wondered to have this.

epcana

Today I finally had the chance to try this perfume. It is like a classic sharp perfume smell to me. What it reminds me of is the smell that comes from my mother's friends when I met them when I was in elementary school. I think it definitely appeals to over 30 years old. I think it's an energetic, happy scent and suitable for all seasons.

MademoiselleMaya

Today's contact with my bottle of In Joy finds it refreshing, girly and cute.
As if you added citrusy magnolia to the top notes of the eau de toilette classic.
It is less flowery. Still floral but with fruity edge to the scent. Funnily enough this year's dark pink magnolias all scent the air around them to a similar citrusy, pure freshness.
It is similar to the classic just the highlight is on the fruity, juicy, fresh.
It is an aura of a scent.
It performs worse than my fav edt 2011 edition. And I think it is less durable. Not sure.
I found it salty during summer. Now, during April this aspect does not exist.

ChocoLei

I really don’t like this. I like a touch of salt in perfumes and I like every single notes listed above but this is very salty.

On my skin, the mix of white flowers, ylang ylang and salt result in egg yolk. I don’t know why or how, but not only do I sometimes get it from salty perfumes on my own skin, but I also strongly get it when these types of fragrances are worn by other people too :(

Therefore, this is not an enjoyable experience for me whatsoever.

silverlocusts

The only J'adore I ever liked, mostly because it doesn't smell like J'adore that much to me. It is sultrier and saltier, sweeter and smoother to my nose. I never bought a bottle for myself but it was a pleasant surprise after years of trying to make myself like J'adore.

Kaleigha

I can't quite get a handle on this. I ordered a sample from Microperfumes, and I quite enjoyed it. Enough to make me feel that I would be relatively safe ordering a full sized bottle. But after I got the full bottle, I am not thrilled. It is very sharp and harsh in the opening, and then it is just...gone. Poof! Nada. Zilch. I am trying very hard to have my growing collection be filled with only scents that I really love, and this isn't falling into that category. Seriously considering selling it on, but I have never sold anything before and not sure it is worth the effort.

RandomPatterned

Yesterday I was trying to find my Amarige sample after going down a rabbit hole on a forum here which discussed many vintage florals. I found my J'adore In Joy dabber instead and wore it despite it being a very cold day. My initial impression was aldehydes, but not quite Chanel like, with fresh white flowers and ylang. I read @correspondencepersonal's review and, indeed, I had an "aha" moment as it spurred my memory of White Linen, which I wore sometimes during the 80s. The saltiness is present in J'adore in Joy in a pleasant and balanced manner and the flowers hang in there but the ylang is the one I can pick out for certain. For me, it took almost a couple of hours for the peach to show up. I'm not a connoisseur of peach in fragrances - apparently I have more perfumes with this note than I realized so I need to do more comparisons in order to discern the quality of peach in them. I would like to try this again in the springtime as I'm a neroli fan.

s801959

Missing it...tons.

As I had this first bottle for about 2 1/2 years, and that it is rendered at half, I wanted to buy a new one, not even knowing that it had been discontinued (at least here in Canada) for at least 2 years !

Imagine my dismay this morning when I could not find any, except on one single site.

I'm very used to it however, most of the fragrances that I have really loved in my life are now gone...

I do agree though that the strength of the scent is not the most powerful ever, it is just a little more ) than a skin scent, but still,(on me anyway! I do miss the heaviness of the peach in it.

At that price, it really should have been a little stronger as far as sillage...

Laurus

I found this sample today and sprayed it on and remembered why I do not like this. It is a very fresh juicy but piercing fragrance. I have an idea that original has the same piercing quality so thats the reason I never liked it either. I know it is quite unique smelling. Something I can recognize on the street if someone wears it.

Ryn08

I absolutely love the sea salt scent.. It gave me the light breeze and a stroll along the beach kind of feel.. Longevity wise.. lasted quite long on me.. For a while, I was obsessed with the scent. I even sprayed in on my clothes & inner wrists before I sleep and by the next day when I got up.. I can still smell it faintly.. so about a good 8-10 hours.

pantherax

I much prefer this take over the original J'adore. It's the kind of scent that would be inoffensive, but still catching enough to make you walk by twice.

AnyaDoll

Didn't realise this flanker was not as popular as others, I mean.. how can it not be the star of the show?!
It's not J'adore tho, in my opinion, very little resemblance to OG or the other flankers.
Perhaps it just works well with my chemistry, hands down this is my most complimented perfume of all time by both men and women since the summer of 2018 (200+ full bottles of juice plus over 400+ miniatures and testers that aren't listed on my profile -yet), I'm on my second big bottle and have a backup bottle also 🤭
Little goes a long way, it's sweet it's peachy it's fresh it's juicy it's salty it's playful yet elegant, it's true happiness to me, awakening my senses like no other, lifts my mood instantly.
Great performance and sillage for an edt is outstanding 👏 it is very Dior.
I think she is the one for me ♥️

AlaskanAngel

White florals with a saltiness that grows stronger as it wears, thus giving the impression that you're sweating through the scent. The opening isn't awful but the unfortunate dry down isn't pleasant. This was not made for me.

Review of official carded sample that came free with purchase.

I first smelled this at the mall when I was on a tightly packed escalator - so many shoppers out that day. The girl just ahead of me was wearing this and on her, this smelled simply divine. There was a beautiful fragrance trail as she stepped off the escalator. I couldn't help but ask her what she was wearing -- and it was THIS, J'Adore in Joy!

J'Adore In Joy has the ozonic aldehyde effect similar to the first sprays of perfumes like Calvin Klein's Escape; Estee Lauder's White Linen; Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds, ET's Diamonds and Emeralds, and ET's Diamonds and Sapphires; and Un Jardin En Mediterranee by Hermès (it has the same chemical ozonic aldehyde effect as these perfumes but does not smell like these). When this is sprayed, it is as if the chemical chord of this expands and interacts with the air where this creates an atmosphere around you. This settles down after awhile, but the initial spray has a strong type of ozonic aldehyde effect.

It has notes that have a little bit of that "tinker bell" type quality... a sparkling champagne effervescent chemical play that happens as the notes dance on the skin, giving this a very bright playful type vibe -- but with the peach notes grounding this, this warms the scent up at bit. There is a subtle peach tea type note with this which is unique because there are not many other fragrances that have this peach tea note. This later calms down more into a softer finish throughout the dry down.

When I first sampled this, I can see the references to baby wipes.
Yes, there is definitely a freshness in this perfume that could be used in some other products.

This is pretty and attractive.
It has a certain allure about it, it is appealing -- (although not blatantly or overtly sensual or sexual).
This is office friendly and I could see that this would be a perfume that would be great during spring/summer -- or a lighter fragrance to wear during the whole year - if this is really your thing -- and something that you resonate with.

--------------

For those that feel that this is not quite enough -- that it is a bit incomplete...
Why not add a touch of another fragrance note to this...
Maybe an isolated floral like a tuberose; gardenia; something sweet --
Or - add something a bit more grounding for a lower alto type chord - pistachio or almond; dare I say vetiver?
Hmmmmmmm- the possibilities are endless.

This perfume provides a great base - you can keep tweaking this with different notes if you like.

This is not a paint by numbers kit --
You can experiment with layering different perfumes -
just for heaven's sake -- GO LIGHT!
Don't create a fragrance bomb - here!

Add a splash of whatever you like with this - and make it your own, (if you feel that this is too generic or unimpressive).

-----------

One note:
Several perfume reviews mention this, this has a very strong salty type note which comes out more - the longer this wears on the skin. This borders on some of the marine-salty type perfumes, which is a little wonky with my chemistry.

The aldehyde/ozonic effect is also something that takes awhile to subside. This is aggravating my asthma a bit.

---------------

This perfume starts with the dancing sparkling notes which is what I dearly LOVE about this perfume, that only lasts a few minutes before you are submerged in the salty type oceanic/marine chord. Make sure that you are someone who does well with the saltier notes. If so, this could be really fabulous on you. Unfortunately, this is not really working that well with my chemistry or asthma reactions. It will have to be returned, unfortunately - because I really love the first part of this perfume.

This is definitely worth a try -
The girl on the escalator wore this one extremely well; it was a perfect blend with HER chemistry!

-----------

For those that are finding the salt a bit too much -
I just found a sister perfume to this - "Chanel Gabrielle Essence" -
This is slightly less salty, smells almost identical to the other notes in J'Adore In Joy!

Peaches77

Very feminine beautifully scented fragrance. Prefect for spring with its bright fresh smell.

Jessicawallace98

Blind buy! And no regrets. It’s so fresh and clean, I’ve received quite a few compliments on this one. Very beautiful scent; I think it’s one I’ll definitely repurchase when I run out!

Scentedalterego

I had such high hopes for this but quickly sold my bottle, which was luckily second hand. Normally I am crazy about sweet salty florals but I found this one quite synthetic and unpleasant on my skin. It was better on the blotter but still not amazing. Get Infinissime or L'or instead.

ClassicalKate

Sweet and salty, good for a summer or spring day. One of the things I like about this is that the scent isn't too strong or weak, and it's something you can wear at a workplace assuming you aren't dousing yourself.

reallymoody

i have tried many times to like this perfume….it’s giving me old ladies and baby wipes….and a headache

Elynthia

This is lovely!! At first sniff it reminds me of a minty melon. Weird, since neither of those is listed as a note. But that's what it smells like to me. ^-^ It's actually so refreshing for hot summer days, where some perfumes can be cloying and too sweet, but not this one. Now, seeing the notes, I can tell it smells a bit salty, indeed. I've smelled a sample of this in the winter and remember not liking it. But I've since heard it's great for the summer, so I reached for it again now in August and it was perfect! It definitely is on my wishlist now as a summer scent. Also, I don't find it similar to the original J'adore, but it's just as lovely for me!

cassiesta

Perfect for summer, a salty peachy scent with wafts of jasmine when inhaling more deeply. I'd say in order of prominence I get sea salt, peach, and sometimes smell the jasmine. So I'd say the salty/marine accords really do shine through the most. I haven't smelled anything like it yet. This is a perfume that goes well with extreme heat without being in the category of fresh perfumes, which a lot of summer perfumes tend to be. It's not really sweet or gourmand, though I can imagine this as salt crystals that line the rim of a yummy oceanside cocktail, maybe a peachy one!

Only negatives are this is very light, albeit typical of these kinds of perfumes for summer (i.e. Bronze Goddess) and sometimes what people look for in summer perfumes. It does last more than 3 hours, however. It's definitely not a dupe, but if you want something with a similar vibe for cheap, Jennifer Aniston Beachscape reminds me of this.

strongerwithglue

This scent does not smell complete. It's almost like the perfumer was concocting J'adore but never finishing combining all of the ingredients. Very barren, weak, and unimpressive.

kristynabelscakova

This one smells like a creamy (even bit milky) peach, sharp but pleasant jasmine and little bit of salt. I use it in hot, humid summer as a 'dupe' of Olympea which I love very much, but can't wear it in heat because it's too strong for me.

Enrium

I have a sample of the EDT version of J'Adore in Joy, one of numerous flankers to the classic J'Adore. While it has its moments, it lacks the DNA of the original, bar having a few notes in common.

After the initial (unfortunate) blast of insect spray, the opening is fresh and indeed salty, smelling to me of sea air with cucumber. The use of sea salt as a note here is creative and interesting - easily the best thing about this fragrance. The peach is evident minutes after the initial spray, giving the scent a syrupy juicy sweetness. It smells synthetic, and the fragrance goes downhill from here. It becomes a generic (though not terrible) floral-fruity as the jasmine and tuberose come to the fore.

However, there is an unpleasant metallic quality in the drydown; it is probably for the best that it (the EDT anyway) is so subtle and light. Longevity is weak and sillage is mild; it becomes a soapy skin scent in under two hours on me. Fine, considering it is an EDT.

The opening is the best part of this fragrance. Overall, an inoffensive, light, feminine floral-fruity for spring/summer. Nothing special, JIJ has very little in common with the original J'Adore. J'Adore in Apathy. 2/5.

jreyes366

I understand that the OG J'adore is a classic and think it smells lovely. However, upon testing this, I did get the familiar DNA of the original. After that unfortunately, it goes down hill really quickly. It's not bad, but it's what a lot of other lower priced fragrances can do.

It's fresh, floral, fruity... and then it fades into a soapy skin scent within the hour. It's not something I would repurchase.

piahellgren

Just lovely and gorgeous in the summer heat! Salty jasmin, peach and yellow flowers. Crisp, bright and with just the hint of tuberose. It's there, surely, and maybe it's more than a hint, but the jasmin, the ylang ylang and the neroli/peach combo makes the tuberose behave like "one in the crowd" instead of acting like the boss she often acts like. Such great and uplifting and yet sensual summer fragrance! Salty jasmin at its best.

MissGirly87

Lilmisse- I'd encourage you to try the other flankers and even the original of J'adore. They are all extremely different. When the original came out, a college roommate of mine wore it constantly and smelled lovely with it but had a tendency to overspray it. It turned me off of it, and as the years went by and the flankers came out, I assumed I'd dislike them and avoided trying them. Big mistake, since as of a year ago the EDT Lumiere has become my fall/spring/winter signature that garners me tons of compliments. And I wish I'd discovered it years ago!

twiztidladii

I got a sample and before I sprayed it, I smelled the spray part and nearly choked. Oh it’s horrible. I knew right off the bat I was going to hate it but I sprayed a tester strip to show my mom, anyways. To me it was so heavy and strong (which I normally like) but it was in a fresh? way. Like I could tell it was suited for Spring or Summer. I think it was the sea salt mixed with the peach that turned me off. My mother rather enjoyed it when she sniffed it and my dad didn’t like the salty note either. I’m pretty nervous about testing any of the other J’adore’s now. I had high hopes.

veronique

That peach is perfect to me for summer hollidays I just can dream about !
Softness and beach, drinking a coktail who's name is "sex on the beach"...this is a "no trouble" scent for women.

it 's a shame I have lost olfactive years, i didn't know J'adore and flankers were so exquisit..

Rosemary14

Omg! Amazing! Absolutely gorgeous. This is juicy peachy fruit, slightly salty creamy gorgeousness. How did this escape my attention? I’m pretty sure because the original held almost no appeal to me. The original is very French grown up and perfumey. This is sparkling, fizzy, fun, creamy flowers of jasmine, a bit young and flirty, but still sophisticated and elegant. The peach 🍑 is very pronounced and fresh. It’s creamy, sunshine and delicious. The jasmine and ylang are beautiful together. There is a sparkle of citrus coming from the neroli that joins the peach. I also tried the J’adore Absolu and found it to be less fruity, more deep, floral, and creamy. It’s absolutely gorgeous as well and I’ll be purchasing that one too. Are these the most original, complex, and groundbreaking fragrances? Not even close, but they are classy and elegant even if they are a little simple. In fact I like that about them. Like the Dior New Look style it will never look bad. I’m kind of upset with myself for just dismissing this line because I’ve been missing out. I gotta tell you guys I’m freaking out over how much I like this. You ever see one of those weird videos with a guy freaking out over a highway or a train or some strange thing? Like he’s WAY to excited and into it? Well, I can relate much more right now. Lol

TaraRachelle

Gorgeous! I mistook the peach for a citrusy or unidentifiable fruity note (I did not read notes before I tested), but when looking for it, I definitely catch the peach. This was a random test, and I was not looking for it. I am just "meh" on the original J'Adore, and I hadn't spent any time interested in the flankers, but the Sephora SA mentioned it to me, so I let her spray my arm after I liked it on the test strip. I love it both on paper and on my arm, although longevity is only moderate.

It's a bit floral, definitely fresh and summery. It makes me think of sunshine and has a slightly sporty take on the florals. I liked it well enough on my arm, but I pulled a test strip out of my coat pocket a couple hours later thinking it was another perfume swatch, and I thought, "WOW! that is so much better than the scent on my hand (Armani Code on my hand)-- It's fantastic!" Then I saw the Sephora symbol on the strip and knew it was the In Joy, so it all made sense. I love it when a fragrance is even better than I remember when I catch an unexpected sniff of it, and that was definitely the case here. It's FB worthy, and I'll probably buy as the summer gets closer because I definitely think it's better suited to summer.

DreamyDemigod

A very chill fragrance, though creative with the salt and peach notes, very interesting to me. It doesn't last long, and I wish it were the tiniest bit richer, but thats what you get when you purchase an EDT (I need to start reading kavejd, EDPs are always so much better.). This one does have a mosquito spray vibe to it, Wich is saddening, but it doesn't smell bad. It would just be disappointing to buy a huge bottle and have your dumb friend say "omg I smell bugspray." Very disheartening. Purchase with caution.

rosey_nosey

This reminds me of plastic children's toys. Like a barbie. It's a decent summer sweet fragrance. Nothing special. You've probably owned a body lotion or splash that smells like this.

arqnataliaferrer

when i first smell this i did a groan of pleasure- true story.
and the weirdest thing is i HATE tuberose.
but maybe i hate tuberose as a opening note, or in some combination ( aldehidic+tuberose of cabotine made me sick)
but the fresh opening plus the jasmine and the ylang finishing with a long lasting and light tuberose made this perfume a delight.
i felt like a growned-up and confident woman when i weared it.

Heathrfeathr

My 11 year old daughter told me I smelled nice when I was wearing this and she is not very giving with her compliments lol. This is a fresh and uplifting scent to me. It’s refreshing to wear and is my first experience with the jadore line. Bright and fresh opening with a little fruit a little floral but not too much of either. Quite happy with it and projection and longevity good on my skin. This is a grown woman fruity floral.

AnaisLouLou

This is one of my current favourites. It opens like a fresh nectarine with none of the heavy notes and complexity of J'Adore EDP. It's joyous. Fresh and light. A pleasure to wear on a Spring day. After a few hours, it closes unmistakably as J'Adore. The J'Adore DNA is long lasting. This perfume will take you from day to evening.

beline

gives me a headache... :(

Lollo

Fresh, feminine.

ijaneo

smelled this in the store and i fell in love. purchased the largest size and was disappointed as it didnt last long and the scent smells too mainstream. Wish I would have just repurchased my original j'adore. smells like a powdery peach.

Alces Alces

This is really pretty. I am not good looking enough to wear this! Seriously, it smells like someone beautiful. The opening is weird, but after a few minutes there is the sweetest, purest peach, just heavenly.

You have to be a bit patient. The first time I tried to wear J'Adore in Joy it smelled like Deep Woods Off. Maybe it was old oxidized product in the nozzle. Second trial was the charm. Good sillage, too.

I don't detect much resemblance to Olympea. Nor do I detect salt notes as much as the notes chart would suggest. They are not dominant. The peach & white flowers dominate. It smells like the color of the bottle and cap.

Nimyan

Powdery. A beautiful ballerina coming offstage with a big bouquet of white floral.

ivadim

Пас, добре, че имам отливка, за малко да повярвам на пирамидата:)

theuntrainednose

I have a sample. Tested in a moderate winter day.

Soft fizzy juicy fruit. Maybe peach, but unripe peach. Not those sticky juicy peaches that are redolent in fragrance in mid-summer and call all the insects around, but earlier peaches, still sappy-green and a bit weird when you eat them.

The fizzy note is fun and airy, not as fizzy as, for instance, in Yvresse, more just a dash of jumpy joy.

Then it goes a bit fruit-shampoo-y, like those children's peach shampoos, but classier.

---

Globally, I feel like it is an uncomplicated fragrance, but well-done. Would not go out of my way to buy it, but would gladly wear it when I want to feel clean and a bit energized.

lmwimsatt

This is an acquired taste. I never loathed it but I went from dislike to meh to like to love. And I might be veering twd obsession. It's very similar to kenzo flower red but it packs a little more tangy punch. This is a summer necessity!

bouquetbuff

I love the simplicity of In Joy. Its beachy, yet feminine. Because it lacks too much complexity it's a good choice for headache sufferers. A happy fragrance and nice choice for spring and summer.

muahah

It's different from J'adore. It was rather classic, but this is more fun and modern. Feminine (floral, peach)and masculine (salt) in same time. Youthful, yet mature. It's not loud, but dense enough and noticeable. It's pleasant, but also unusual. It's not sweet and not really cozy, but it feels hugable. I don't get association with food, sea, or even flowers, but rather it's something flowing salty metallic as dress in this fragrance photo. From bottle it smells like vintage perfume, but it develops differently on skin.
Perhaps it have little bit too much salt. I wish they would have added few drops of orange or made it with more pronounced floral. First half hour there was other notes what made it more interesting and softened salt. After that it stays close to skin and becomes more just a salt and with that at least for me becomes more boring, harsh, maybe even weirdly unisex.

BrunetteDoll

Dior does ylang the best way possible.

I had this fregrance and loved it. Creamy almost musky fruity(peach) and a nice balance between yellow and white flowers. Salt breathes in freshness and makes it smell more natural. Clean skin with body lotion vibes.

Words that I associate with:
intimate, sensual, summer, closeness.
It's the feeling of getting comfortable with new partner and falling in love with who they truly are "without makeup " or any "masks " . Very huggable scent.

Wear this if you're ready to get vulnerable.

I've tried this a couple of times - out shopping by spritzing my wrists quickly - then seeing how this sets up on my skin. I really love the sparkling dance of colorful ingredients that first sets up on the skin. This lasts the first 30 minutes to an hour, then seems to sit much flatter to the skin.

I'm drawn to the sparkling - dancing of ingredients -- if I purchase this in the future - it will be because I really like this quality.

Womanity also has this same type of sparkling quality - but there were irritating ingredients in that one that didn't set up with my skin and chemistry.

---------

I smelled this Joy on a lady that I recently met - and it smelled FANTASTIC!
It reads GREAT in an area about 5 feet away from the person that is wearing this.

This is one that I'm drawn to - out of the newest releases this year.
I need to keep revisiting this - will probably purchase it!

LisaMari

The opening, on my skin, is like metallic notes - gold or money - a lot like the original J’adore which I’ve never liked but the dry down is nice and fresh and reminds me of Chloe EDT. I can definitely detect the salt and that gives it a slight aquaticness but dry.. so more like sand or salt air I suppose. It’s good in this chilly air.

jr

Absolutely love this "vacation" scent but the Eau De Toilette simply does not last long for the price. :(

correspondencepersonal

This opens with a spectacular confetti like burst of a fragrance chord! I LOVED it the second that I smelled the opening - however, it quickly dried down into something that was not really registering well on my skin.

I love the first burst of this -
It was delightful!

But need to study this a bit more before purchasing it --
I wish it would hold the first bright burst of confetti...
This is what I really LOVE about this particular fragrance!

---------

This is completely different than the original Jadore - or than Dior's Joy.
Easy to confuse this by the name.

You really need to try this one on your own skin. The first confetti burst is totally a JOY!

AnitaHendricks

This is a great perfume during warm weather, between spring and summer. It's a salty scent, carried by sweet florals. If you like Olympea by Paco Rabanne you'll propably like this one too. It doesn't remind me of the original Dior's J'adore at all, for it's completely different.

Cherry_Darling

The salty definitely gives it a unique twist, I was guessing petitgrain or wheat. I smell citrus too but I guess it's the peach. Not an aromatic peach this peach. Just adds a bit of tartness. Unique, pleasant but not bewitching to my nose.

tommy_girl

salty white floral? sounds like a superb idea even though I could've not guessed it by smelling it.
So what do I smell? J'adore DNA in a fresher, less offensive way. To me the first notes is all about pears and plums (ok,let's say peach) mixed with white flowers. The perfume get fluffier and more velvety as the time passes to the point that I can call it pure tuberose.
I don't get any similarity between j'adore in joy and any of aforesaid fragrances, but just with older versions of j'adore.
I can imagine that many reviewers would not admire this new version, saying it's too generic. to me, it wasn't a wow either, but it is definitely nice and feminine.

Victoria Regia

Beautiful! This, along with L'Eau Cologne Florale are my two favorite J'Adore flankers. Like others, I also don't find this fragrance similar to Womanity or Olympea, but to each their own. What I perceive is an updated version of the original J'Adore with a sheered out base, a more noticeable peach note and a salt-ginger impression added to it. I also think this fragrance smells much better in warm weather. I am a one-spray wearer, but even then people notice it and compliment me, which is always surprising. Happy sniffing!

Edit: it's Winter now. Still gorgeous!

Aleccsei

I was given a sample of this and was very disappointed by this flanker.

I do not feel any similarities to 'DKNY be Delicious', 'Olympea by Paco Rabanne' or 'Womanity by T. Mugler'.
To be honest I sensed only a hint of iris, but not of peach or of salt.

Not my cup of tea.

vintagelover

I love love love it. I love it the same way I loved the original formula of J'adore. It smells so expensive. I hope they do not discontinue this one. It's class. I don't get any salt really just really deep sensuous wafts of elegance. Well done on this one Dior.

stephan

Salty note? Where? It's more like shower gel or bath foam.

ClEL

If Olympea and Be delicious had a baby.. this would be it.

miss mills

Beautifully done, gauzy, a more sophisticated, subtle and floral version of DKNY’s Be Delicious, pleasant and summery, smells as others have already said like fine (apple) shampoo with hints of the original J'Adore in its makeup (with hint of salt). Pretty, safe and very, very girly. A safe gift buy for someone I would think and also for anyone who likes to smell shower clean and pretty, no dark or edgy corners here.

megancastlebooks

It has all of the sensations I love (cheapness: tobacco, fruit-forward, salt, unisex), but also the deep: it lasts 24 hours, it's made with essentials oils and no toxins. Introducing the classy bombshell fragrance that will not only steal your heart, but keep it.
I wish I had invented this one.

OKcololo

Dior has really been cheapening the quality of their fragrances in the past few years, while at the same time hiking up their prices. A capitalist dream ❤

The original J'Adore was a luminous white floral with just enough fruity, liqueur-like warmth to make it soar.

This thing is a thin peachy-salty concoction more akin to shampoo than fine fragrance, with only a glimpse of the original's radiant self.

A fragrance like this should, in a sane world, be sold at Victoria's Secret in a big, pink plastic bottle under the name "BEACHY PEACH"

ydonna1990

First thing that I smelled upon spraying this perfume was tobacco. I am surprised that nobody else mentioned it here. After spraying it (not on myself but in the air), for a second there, I thought somebody who recently smoked walked by. Afterwards, the cigarette smell faded and I could start noticing the floral scent. I don't care for elegant, refined smells but I just loved how that floral worked with my favorite leather jacket after applying it on myself. The mix of two gave me this very subtle, sultry smell which I just love. When I was in my very early twenty's, my favorite scent was Versace bright crystal, Gucci rush. Fun, energetic, sexy smell. Now that I'm in my late 20's, I appreciate scents that are heavier, more complex, more intense while also being fun, and bold. This perfume definitely does it for me!

Mingailė

Lovely happy feminine scent, after few hours smells similar to My Burberry EDT, which l also like!

DarlingNikki

This would be signature scent worthy for me if only it didn't have that salt note. I just can't stand saltiness in fragrances (or food for that matter) and it actually makes me nauseous with the way it mixes with the sweet ylang-ylang and peach notes. This is the same reason I just can't tolerate Olympea, even though I do like it, sans the salt note.

GreenPistachio

A very "happy" fragrance for me. Definitely fits it's name. I noticed it as "floral" first and then the peach mingles very nicely. Did not pick up on the "salt" note, yet there was an airy quality as others have mentioned. Beautiful fragrance, really love it.

DaisyChain90

I feel like this smells really expensive, however random that smells. It has a fuzzy kind of smell when you first smell it, which is definitely the salt coming through. Then the peach notes kick in. I love it, easy to wear and very inoffensive and could easily be worn by anyone.

sphynxcat

Much less sweet than the originals and more floral than fruity. I didn’t know anything about its notes when I tried it and did notice a salty skin scent later. Not overtly beachy, a little bitter/metallic and maybe slightly aquatic-like Calone aquatic.. I liked the opening better than the drydown, which actually started intensifying in a not-so-pleasant way and became a bit shrill. But, overall, it’s just ok to me.

minizelda

Great for a Capricorn in her 50's, will gift to her on mother's day

ohemmalouise

I have a little 5 ml sample of this and to me it smells like a better version of Olympea by Paco Rabanne and although I can't stand Olympea because of the salt note , I do actually enjoy the salt note in this one. I get beach vibes from it.

criscorbel

for me smells exactly the same as a nivea lotion, very disapointed :(

klix27

Love this one. Very mild & pleasing. Just OK for men to wear this.

inesita75

I'm just sampling this.
Yet another fruity floral. Nothing different from all the releases from the last 5 years.
Absolutely boring.

IkuraGirl

I couldn't identify the salty note I detected when I first tried this perfume; it registered to me as something oceanic, something airy, light... it was a note I recognized but struggled to define. But there you have it: Salt. And the result is, overall, very pretty.

To me, the mesh of salt and florals is very oceanic, almost reminding me of the 90's classic, Escape (Calvin Klein) in the combination of sweetness and yet airiness.

Does it garnish compliments: Yes. Is it pretty? Yes. Will it become part of my permanent rotation? Unlikely.

Longevity: 7/10
Sillage: 8/10

femkevandendriessche

Whilst you can definitely smell that this is j'adore flanker, it also reminds me a little of the addict eau the toilette, a personal favourite. I find this one very spring/summer appropriate.

andabri

Maybe one of the shortest reviews I ever write but this smells exactly like fruit flavored children's vitamins dissolved in water.

missk

J'Adore In Joy by Christian Dior is a super fresh interpretation of the original. I would go so far to say that this is definitely their most appropriate flanker for Spring and Summer.

This fragrance centres itself around a dominant note of peach, complimented by a unique salt accord and blended with an array of crisp white floral notes similar to the original J'Adore EDP.

The salt accord has been skillfully blended so it does not resemble an aquatic. It smells more like a fresh floral on my skin rather than a fragrance one would wear to the beach. I also find J'Adore In Joy to be slightly more casual than the original, something I would happily pair with jeans and a t-shirt.

It reminds me of vintage Calvin Klein's Escape for Women in lots of ways, especially in regards to the salty note. I really enjoy this playful flanker and hope it stays around long enough for people to enjoy it over the Summer months.

polkadot27

Not really a review, but i tested this and it is no different to the other flankers that have been out; a fresher girlier, more up beat version to the original. Cannot detect this flanker from the last flanker. And the salt is not detectable and does not give it an edge. It smells fresh fruity floral to me. Nothing more.

Taxidermy

The comments about it being similar to Womanity are very misleading, IMHO. I love Womanity and I love Dior, so last summer I tried J'Adore In Joy, hoping to be blown away by it, but as you've probably guessed, it didn't happen. To me, the neroli note really stands out among the rest, making it similar to Miss Dior Cherie L`Eau, Lancome O de L`Orangerie, Kenzo Amour Florale, etc. It's very cologne-ish and detergent-like. Overall I find it quite underwhelming. It's not bad or anything, just very simple next to the other Dior offerings (particularly the stunning J'Adore L'Or, if we're talking about the J'Adore line).

Idk, maybe I should try it again, just to confirm my first impression, or to change my mind.

upd

So I tried it again. Still no Womanity found. I find it a little bit strange when the salt note clashes with the flowers. But the base notes are very lovely, indeed. Thumbs up (but I probably won't buy it).

palebluemoon

similar to apogee of LV

gillbert

what I get the most are white floral with salty touch and fruity vibe, I say, it was a lighter version of the original J'adore because it has fresh, salty and breezy touch, definitely for youth, playful, joyful, easy going person, it is not biting and aggressive as J'adore EDT, J'adore EDT flanker is really aggressive and biting me from the top to the middle note, easy to wear and easy to love, even it is EDT concentration but it has a very good longevity on me, i get 6+ hours on my body with 8 spritz and last 24 hours on shirt

this perfume is close to Elie Saab EDT, Miss Dior EDT and J'adore Voile de Parfum, they are not 100% similar but just changing some compositions, my crazy mind also thinking of Davidoff Cool Water and Bvlgari Acqua Pour Homme because of the fresh salty vibe, I don't mind to wear this perfume to public, as long as I enjoy it very much, and I get compliments

Kiwichick1

This has just landed in our beautiful New Zealand.

A++++ to the house of Dior. i have used J'adore for many years and jumped at buying J'adore in Joy. What a beautiful perfume. I can't compare it to any fragrance I've tried before. Just simply feminine, regal almost. I can wear this any season, any time of day. My husband keeps saying it smells very good, so nice. I am even struggling to pin point any distinct notes, they amalgamate in perfect harmony. Maybe I even prefer this to J'adore!

JackieM

That salty note, oh lord. I am certainly biased against it, but upon first spray I thought it was going to be manageable in Joy. Even the first five minutes seemed ok. Unfortunately it was not to be. It ended up bringing to mind cat pee dried into an old rug that you can still smell under the chemical cleaner. Even worse than other more prominently salty fragrances somehow.

I usually favor Dior, and the Or version of J'adore is absolutely a favorite. This version just messed J'adore up for me. "Joy" takes on a sarcastic tone in this case. At least the new Miss Dior was a pleasant (but totally foreign, unrelated to the original) surprise.

SailorV

This is a perfume where I enjoy the drydown much more than the top and heart.
At first I find J'Adore In Joy a bit soapy, also savory without being salty. Kind of like a leaf of lettuce between the clean jasmine and peach.
As the fragrance developes, it gets better. The weird green note slowly turns into a salty note, the scent becomes softer and smoother.

And after a few hours it smells wonderful. All the soapyness and greenness vanished, it's just extremely creamy jasmine with the support of tuberose, and equally lovely peach, and while not in the official notes, orange.

The perfume smells as if it would sparkle.

Very feminine, an elegant fruity floral that isn't immature.
Longevity and projection are good.

I wish the topnotes would be better, maybe it's just my skin or my nose... I would recommend to try it for yourself.

OlfactoryLover

The first spritz of this is so powerful as the alcohol is evaporating it makes me almost cough, but I am smiling, as the scent fills my senses with... Joy!

There is just something about the J'Adore collection that I absolutely love (clue is in the name I guess).

In Joy is J'Adore's little sister who fell off the yacht off the coast of South Africa while holding a glass of Woo Woo or some other fruity cocktail drink while wearing the EDP. I am terrible at describing fragrances so apologies.

Longevity on skin :5/6HRS
Sillage: Radiates somewhat but mainly sits close to the skin.

Contessa01

I am not sure why orange isn't listed as I definitely smell a strong citrusy orange / mandarin note. This is a zestier version of J'adore. I love the original J'adore but I think this perfume would really attract those maybe don't like it as it's a lighter, fruitier version so give it a try.

june7rose

An orangey fruity version of j'adore I just tried in France. If I wore any of them, it would be this one, but it's not that much up my alley, and it doesn't last very long. Pretty though.

Colettekn

Blind tested 15 fragrances on strips while waiting for flight, both j'adore perfumes i tried stood out For their richness and quality, a fruity, clean fragrance, probably not a purchase as it's a bit too elegant and sophisticated for me to pull it off.

ScarlettX

I think it's good, even though, I'm not a big J'adore fan. I sense jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang mixed with peach. It's sweet and floral. It has somekind of sharpness in it, despite the peachy sweetness.
The classic J'adore is also there, I can smell it.
It's fine, but not one of my favorites.

twinmalaysia

This fragrance screams Charlotte York to me - she just wants everything to be polished and all to go exactly as planned.

It is refreshingly sweet (not a typical sweet fruity or sweet vanilla fragrance), which makes it incredibly easy to wear. But the type of freshness isn't the citrus-freshness. It's the very light and polite combination of jasmine and ylang-ylang. Salty vibes vanish fast.

Definitely a summer fragrance and easy to wear to the beach as well as office. Good for meditation/relaxing and suitable for the occasions where you just want to feel pretty and kind.

Sillage is medium on my skin and lasts about 4 hours. Definitely my favourite J'adore perfume. All in all a nice peachy summer scent.

Nataja

This is BEAUTIFUL!!! Imagine your walking out of the sea and sunshine penetrating on your skin! Saltiness from the ocean air soft clean breezy some florals with a peachy undertone. Perfect for warm summer days AND nights! Not heavy, not a sugar bomb not to less. A BEACHY PERFUME MINUS THE COCONUT!

raiza1990

Opulence, radiance, elegance and sensuality. That is what high perfumery is all about and Demachy understood that while creating this one!
This one is the first from the J'Adore line to impress me, but, boy, did it made a good impression!
The unusual combination of peach and fleur de sel gives this fragrance a fruity salty touch that combined with the warm floral background smells just divine!
Francois Demachy did a great job (again)!
It gets a 10/10 from me.

benzippo

Received a very nice set of media materials including a very nicely folded sample strip (more like a Jadore badge or something like that though) of Jadore In Joy.

Left it in my closed office to let the fragrance permeates and it reminded me that I had smell something just like this before somewhere.

After two days, it suddenly made it remembered, it smells very very similar to Thierry Mugler's "Womanity" that was released in 2010.

Summary, not original even though pleasant where many may not be able to adapt the salty note as found in Womanity.

Edemay

J'adore meets womanity.
Its the fleshy peach and piercing salt that creates the similarity.
But this is sparkling, bright and doesn't give off a metallic smell.
On the skin it mellows out quite a bit and the fresh dna of j'adore is present.
I am smelling something citric in this too, like grapefruit, but its not listed.
So far this is my favourite of all the j'adores and i can't wait to purchase a bottle.
Edit: a friend got it for me for my birthday I'm cheering! It's so beautiful I love it.

wendyha

I find the original J'Adore a little dull, but this one I like! It is less middle of the road!

I always love jasmin, tuberrose and neroli in perfumes, but I think that the adding of salt is what makes this perfume so special and outstanding. It is more than just a fresh and happy spring scent.

Estela B

Tested this today. If you are not a J'adore lover, and I am not, maybe you will find it lighter, easier than the original. But at least for me it doesn't have character enough to justify a buy. If it was a gift I would keep it and use it, for sure, but if I have to buy something I would go for other things Dior has to offer. Longevity is almost ok.

Kon-nos91

DIVINE and guess what, I am not a fan of J'adore! No offence, it's just not me or my taste. I only liked a bit the EDT Lumiere edition, probably due to the neroli tone of Dior house.

Guys, just wake up! I love Dior more and more everyday but mostly due to his perfumes. We may have seen thousands of editions coming and go but this one is a must. I've never thought I could smell salt. This was promised by Olympea-Paco Rabanne, WANT-DSQ2, but J'adore in joy strikes 100% of the feeling.

If you're a lover of J'adore you may be shocked or pass by at first, but then the original EDP essence will follow, though not as a 'perfect' flower that doesn't exist according to Dior's nose Francois Demachy. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Salt if you may smell it, like a wave of the ocean smashing on a rock, a light touch of real peach (like the same trail Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet has on it's 'fruity' vibes) and then a nice harmony of white flowers.

Francois, PLEASE! Please try to bring back Miss Dior Cherie or at least something way better now. We're all praying, aren't we guys/girls? Imagine the salty pop-cornish vibe together with fine patchouli, neroli and a bit of caramel. Now that I think about it, I can live without it. Great lasting power, sillage depending on skin. Try it, remember my words and...just ENJOY it!

Wooster97

Just been launched at my place of work and it's doing really well!the peachy notes are instantly noticeable and perfect for summer, even though this is an edt a lot of people are saying they don't want the heaviness of the original jadore and so prefer this one for the time of year we are going into, warm peach crumble is what it reminds me of!

auSoleil

I really like the idea of warm, peachy notes, florals and then a touch of salt as a wee surprise - perhaps like a slightly more exciting version of Boss' The Scent! Though I had expected the peach to have more honeyed tones.
At first I tried on a blotter paper and when it settled I decided I liked it enough to try on skin, my skin can be a little temperamental though.
I put it on around 10 minutes ago, and it has now warmed with my skin and the peachy tones are coming through beautifully. There is still a nod to the original J'adore with the floral notes so the fragrance's heritage is clear, but it's a tad warmer an, in my opinion, a little more summery. Though I'm a sucker for a salty note in fragrances.
It is however an Eau de Toilette, not a parfum and I can't yet vouch for the longevity but we'll see how it goes.

*Update* It's only 3ish hours later and I can barely smell it, nor can my colleague. It's a lovely scent but if you're interested in the J'adore range I'd simply stick with the original Eau de Parfum

virga

Maybe its my skin chemistry, but on my J`Adore In Joy smells like the water left in the bathtub after someone bathed in there for hours with expensive soaps and perfumed bath salts. By the way, I loved original J’Adore when I was a teenager, wore it for couple of years after it was just released. So this new flanker is definitely a miss, something just doesn’t work, a guess it’s the combination of ripped peach, jasmine and sea salt. While the original J’Adore is elegant fruity floral, joyful and with a sparkling quality, the new flanker is just soapy and damp.

Jmalone84

Prefer the original J'adore. This reminds me of many of the common smells out there. This is fresh with some zing to it. Reminds me of Alfred Sung Shi. There's a touch of tartness from the salt. It's quite appealing but perhaps potentially cloying and not particularly unique. Longevity unimpressive. Probably not something I would buy.

iamoir

J'adore (and LVEB) flankers never cease to amaze me. Most of them I like more than their mamas; same here.

J'adore in Joy is exactly what it states: a scent of joy, love for life, instant fun and the exclamation of spring. I say summer too. Only in this case Demachy chooses to use more floral notes instead of fruit and gourmand notes that are mostly used in spring-summer related perfumes lately.

Yes, in the drydown there is an artificial note, but that's okay, it's bearable; you have to trace it alot. Fot the most part it sets powdery peachy on the skin after a nice detergent-like neroli, which is lost later. As for other florals in my opinion they appear and dissapear. A bit sad about tuberose, because i like the floral and would be happy for a more pronounced one with the already existing peach. But that's okay, at least we have neroli.

As for the salty flower: it's not that salty, so don't veer off because of it. Maybe this is the artificial note in it that might bother some customers, but do give it a sniff, it's not that terrible.

Nothing from the DNA of the original J'adore, thank God. A new scent. Although it does remind me of Burberry Weekend, but by no means they are close, I would just put them in the same family.

Longevity is up to 5 hours and in the beginning of wear time it projects very well, I got complimented. Later it stays close to the skin.

Feli15

All I get is artificially flavored peach candy, a hint of salt and Windex cleaner. Please don't stone me for saying this, it could be just my nose picking up those notes. Please test before you buy as there is nothing j'adore to rediscover in this one.
I wish Dior stopped this flanker madness and concentrate on restoring the former glory of the original EDP. I would like to see that for a change.

genny17

Just received it, and this is beautiful ! At first it smelled like j' Adore edp, and I thought ok, not one I like too much, so expect a big bouquet at first, then a juicy warm note comes in, this smells sooo nice, the peaches give the fragrance a rounded golden vibe, nothing too fruity or synthetic, this is soft and smooth...I get a bit of the salt, or more the idea of the salt, which makes me think of a warm summer breeze coming from the sea, the salt is very light, i don't find the salt to be dominant one iota..actually I can hardly detect it..this remains a warm stylish floral, with a hint of yellow and fresh notes, it isn't sweet, it is fresh, Iand so nicely constructed...you can identify here the craftsmanship of Demachy.
To me, the best versions of the J Adore...I can see why the ones who typically love edp might not love Joy...it has a different vibe..the scent truly warms up in the sunshine...great !!
Now, seriously , this has nothing to do, even remotely with Womanity !

lilymorena

I was eager to test this fragance. Today i got a sample and i could test it twice. It reminded me a fragance I knew and yes of course ... Womanity. On my skin it turns fast into a skinscent that remains so for more then 8 hours. It is not a bad scent but I was waiting for a wow factor. As a j' adore fan I must have this too so it goes to my want list. My favorite is still L' absolu.

P.S:
3e test. A bright floral salty peachy and quite nice. It is a "like" not a "love", at least not yet, but I am still planning to buy it as a J'adore fan. I would also like to tell you that I am not trying to make an issue if I say that this perfume reminds me Womanity. That is so, just like that. I think there is no need to say that a scent reacts differently depending on the Chemistry. Thanks God :).

Arlene-Beatrix

Salty floral scent, but salt dominates it. All in all, I am not a fan of salty perfumes.

scarlett.angel

Omg I was so excited to get a free sample from Malouf pharmacies Australia! They never give out samples normally. When I walked in-store, there stood the most beautiful display I've ever seen. Bottles of J'adore In Joy, surrounded by golden materials and glitter. I was immediately drawn to it like a magpie. I love huge white florals and am so sick of the same sweet fruity florals everywhere I go. In Joy was such a pleasant surprise. It's not overly sweet, even though it contains peach which I'm normally not a fan of. Everything just merges perfectly here. The beautiful white flowers are divine, mixing softly with this new salty note. Salt? If someone mentioned that before in perfumes I'd have thought of something aquatic or weird smelling, but here it just works. This is no ordinary fruity floral and the gold bottle is so stunning - just screams opulence but isn't over the top. You could wear this day or night in spring or winter. Lovely!!! That last photo of Charlize Theron is exactly how it smells if she were also surrounded by beautiful white flowers. I just wish I could afford a bottle now.

ETA: I sprayed this on again freshly washed skin and unfortunately that salty note turned rank on me; the exact same thing happens with most aquatic/marine/oceanic notes. I probably didn't notice it the first time as I was sampling several perfumes that day. Great reminder to never buy straight from store but wait! Luckily it's just a sample. Not the J'adore for me but willing to try other flankers.

Intoner

The opening is very fresh, salty (like a sea breeze) and citrusy with the sweet tone of jasmine in the back. It's very cheerful, completely suit its name.
I sprayed it and went outdoor, and this one really bloom in the heat. You must try it yourself!

A little let down is the dry down that turns into original J'adore plus faint salty note, but the opening is ravishing!

PinkRainbow

Just got a sample. Fresh floral with an unusual light salty background. Very pretty. Like a Spring sea breeze.

Red Rose

instead of returning J'adore L'eau cologne floral they came out with this weird mixture that they call a fragrance?
I'm getting really disappointed in Dior year after year. Maybe some of their goods are exceptional but oh no not the fragrance collections they offer, not any creation is really that good. I purchased their iconic Diorific lipstick & the show range mascaras a countless of times, their bags & shoes are the ultimate fashion but when it comes to the fragrance...well, think again.
I may give this a try though my heart is forever broken since they discontinued my beloved L'eau cologne floral & Remember me from late 90's. Two of the most innocent scents I've ever came across & I'm not that young anymore.

Just launched here!!, real pretty fresh floral, different from J'Adore range has offer, is unique in it's own. I love the contrast between the salty note (nothing marine or calone) with the floral edge, Jasmin and White floral notes, makes an exclusive feeling, followed by a tiny fruity tone. Is soo bright, without being typical summery scent. Feminine and with a real elegance...
I have realized that causes reactions, friends who like regular or Absolu editions doesn't find attractive or totally opposite, so that is very interesting, fragrances which incite determinations.
It also doesn't fit into gourmands, is a new salty trend, which in this case is absolutely beautiful...
From my view doesn't resembles Womanity nor Olympea, not at all.
