"A peaceful stroll through the wheat fields and almond trees as the light of a summer day wanes and the warmth of the air caresses your skin... Admiring the beauty of the sun as it starts dipping behind the rolling hills and bunches of wild roses and geraniums color the dimming countryside. Their bountiful blooms release subtle droplets of nectar that float in the air and blend with the earthy scent of freshly cut wood, invading the early night..." - a note from the brand.

Very very very designer smelling fragrance. Bath and body works shower gel. Last whole day but does not project that much. Totally unisex and for any age. Overall very pleasant fragrance. Definetly good buy for the price.

zawwarahmad

smells like clean paper like smell. Its paper-like after a printer! performance was ok as well. Nothing really crazy, i had to sell it. Id take Bal dafrique over this. 8/10 next.

Almond, heliotrope, and vanilla are my jam. I adore this scent profile. Surprisingly, I don't like this one. There's something off putting I can't pinpoint. My partner, blunt as always, said it smelled like bug spray when she walked into the room. I don't think it's that bad but it's not good. I get the almond and vanilla. But there's something I'm not vibing with. Performance was average. Out of my collection it goes.

Longevity: 6.5/10
Projection: 6/10
Overall Experience: 4/10

Quick edit: Maybe it's the celery note...

DS9Dax

This is an easy to wear clean powdery almond. I like to wear it on cool days snuggled up in a fluffy blanket.
After about 30 minutes it becomes more sweet with background rose coming out.
I do understand the soapy baby wipe vibe but it is so much more . These are the notes that make it smell clean to me.
Love it - disclosure- I am a powdery scent lover anyways.

alternateu

I don't get a lot of natural almond - smells like synthetic almond plus an overdose of violets and incredibly sweet.
Smells nicer from further away than close up - close up the synthetic elements really dominate and stick out, which is what really gives me that "baby sanitary product" vibe.
Has the same vibe as Luxury by Mizensir or Infusion d'Iris Absolue by Prada.
IMO, the ratings would be:
Infusion d'Iris Absolue > Tardes > Luxury, but just barely.
Tardes and Luxury both go into this over-heliotroped synthetic mess.

Scent: Nicer further away - 7/10. Close up - 3/10
Polarity: Leans feminine
Longevity: Average
Projection: Soft to average

Is anyone getting glue paste? I was so disappointed with this scent when I tested it, I heard so many people rave about it but for me it's just a very synthetic almond with perhaps a bit of vanilla. Reminds me of the almond series from L'Occitane which I avoided as well, because of how synthetic the note was.

Annabelsnose

Warm and creamy almond but a bit soapy, which is not my personal preference

Clairexoxo

Smells like clean, soft baby powder

Dawnya7b

baby wipes.

Silverbell

Mmm warm creamy almond, it's a beautiful "retro" almond scent with a-m-a-z-i-n-g longevity! It's been over 12 hours and It's still going strong!! Thought I wouldn't get a full size but I'm contemplating it now.

Edit: Got a fullsize

This is innocence bottled. The dry down is where she shines, but the opening is borderline nauseating to me. I really expected to love this based on the notes and wonderful reviews, but I find it quite polarizing and not exactly a good blind buy.
That’s not to say it’s bad by any means because it’s not. After an hour’s wear, you find yourself surrounded by this gorgeous scent bubble of whipped heliotrope almond cream with subtle hints of plum. Its sweet, alluring, and innocent.

jojococo777

Whenever I wear Tardes, my dad (who doesn't like perfume and never compliments mine) goes on about how I smell so good and clean.
It reminds me of a more mature version of Japanese Cherry Blossom from Bath and Body Works, even though it has no cherry. I love it; feminine and powdery. There's that slight green touch somewhere in the start, assuming from the celery note, but it quickly fades away into a gorgeous sweet and musky almond scent. But it's not TOO sweet or gourmand, which is what I love so much about it.

Purchased a 100ml soon after getting a sample. I always rotate perfumes but if I had to say I have a signature scent I wear more than all my others, it's Tardes. It's just such an easy grab, it's light and appropriate for everyday wear and any season. People tell me I smell so good all the time. If you're into almond/heliotrope and skin scents this is a safe blind buy in my opinion. I already knew I was gonna like it from the notes but when I got the sample I LOVED it. Just read the notes but don't let the celery set you off. It's not a celery fragrance.

I wouldn't recommend over-spraying this scent, it's much nicer as a clean, skin scent. I like spraying on my clothes because it lasts so long but it's not over-powering. So feminine and easy to like.

I love Tardes, it took me a while to get used to it. The opening and the drydown are amazing. There is a plasticky smell in the middle phase, but I'm getting over it because I really love the drydown. . It is an unusual scent, not a floral, not a gourmand (despite the prominent almond note), not powdery, nothing of the sort. It is truly unique, yet understated. On me the longevity and sillage are unfortunately weak, but I heard others claim otherwise so it must be my chemistry.

Lone_wolf011

Tardes me rappelle vaguement le séchage de rosendo mateu numéros 5 quoi que plus amandé, il me rappelle aussi l'odeur de certaines de mes poupées d'enfance.
Parfum charmant mais pas fou 😊

Maya lilac

This is how you make a good almond scent! Dimensional, creamy, soft, slightly aromatic, slightly spicy, mainly vanillic, powdery and sweet.

Tardes is an almond fragrance for gourmand lovers. What I get the most from this, besides sweet, vanillic almonds, is plum, rose, heliotrope and some woods in the dry down. Flawlessly blended! And I really like Tardes.

I prefer it so much more to Velvet Tonka, another popular almond scent.
Not as great as Italica, but pretty close From all almondy fragrances I’ve tried recently this is my second favourite.

This is perfect for fall season. But I can see this as a signature fragrance cause it’s such an easy and pleasant scent to wear all year around .

Tardes goes straight on my wish list!

rayofthesun88

I wasn’t sure if I’d like this, but I’m so glad I tried it. Almonds can be divisive and I didn’t know almond could be so versatile. I did not like Italica, thought it smelled like plastic marzipan.

But this! It’s a sweet powdery almond, a completely different facet to almond as a note. I love powder and gourmands and I think if you do have to like those genres to like this.

It’s a stunner

honeyoceans

Very pleasant! I mostly get almond and vanilla, not much of the florals. I think I can make out the celery, which adds a little green freshness. I’m not sure what stops this from being a “love” for me, but I’m enjoying the sample.

Doofie

Not love at first sniff. Had a hard time wrapping my head around it. Tried it form a friend and in store and didn’t care much for it. Don’t know why it intrigued me still. Got a 8 ml sample and stared to love it! A perfect every day scent for many occasions. Clean and dry almond soap in the opening with just a bit warmth and sweetness towards the dry down. My new easy reach and every day favorite. Even signature worthy.

Noha8

If you mix Lacoste Pour Femme with Bois Doré by Van Cleef & Arpels, you may get Tardes by Carner Barcelona. It is more almondish, heliotropic and niche than Lacoste, and more fresh and summery than Bois Doré.
It's elegant and beautiful; but , it is just like for me since it is not unique for me.

imegaphone

My grandfather must have used something that smelled like this in the 90s because it just takes me back to his bathroom. Not cologne though, some other product, it's nice but I won't be purchasing a full bottle.

lmnsvgz

IT SMELLS LIKE ACETONE.

yoshithatgirl

I get mostly almond, tonka and heliotrope. I don't smell celery.

if anyone has ever smelled "american cream" by Lush, this is literally like 95% identical. AC is cheaper and longer lasting. this lasts about 1.5-2 hours and AC is like 4-5 with over spraying. get AC.

AdalynEverly

First Impressions (sample spray):
Interesting I was expecting vanilla in this for some reason. It’s a very clean woody almond. I’m gonna have to disagree with y’all on this one. It smells more unisex masculine to me.
Edit:
Wait a minute why am I getting a lotiony vibe. It’s almost maternal? Huh?? Woah pretty unisex. first spray smells like unisex masculine the unisex feminine whaaa???
Edit 2:
Oh woah I underestimated you tardes. She’s a quiet sensuous lotion, powder smell. This fragrance danced between masculine & feminine to me. I may want a full bottle.
Edit 3:
It smells like powdery makeup, and soap. I’m in love!
Notes according to their website:
TOP NOTES
Egyptian Geranium, Bulgarian Rose, Rosewood, Almond

MID NOTES
Virginian Cedar Wood, Celery, Plum

BASE NOTES
Venezuelan Tonka Bean, Musk, Heliotrope

Summary:
Smells like: makeup, white bar soap, powderiness. almondy floral with a clean edge. Unisex masculine.
Family of: Prada l’homme (no Iris + almond heliotrope)
Silage: Moderate

Verdict:
I want a full bottle.

This is my third decant from Carner (I also have Rima XI and El Born, Rima is my absolute favorite). This is a really soft, powdery scent with notes of almond, vanilla, and plum. As it dries down, it smells a bit like cherry on my skin, which I attribute to both the almond and plum notes. After a few hours, it’s a typical musky skin scent.

I think this would layer nicely with BDK’s Rouge Smoking or Mon Guerlain Intense.

Update: I love this scent now (September 2023). I totally pick up the plastic toy smell, it reminds me of my little pony stickers in the 1980s. It maintains a powdery, sweet almond muskiness for hours. It’s the perfect cozy sweater scent.

melleners

This is good! Sweet almond and plum to start with a nice drydown of musk and heliotrope. Pretty!

whisperology

I really hope this transforms or grows on me, but after two test days of wear it is giving me 'bug spray'... Maybe it's the celery? Such a strange note. The late dry down is nice and creamy though. I'm sad as I was silly and blind bought a full bottle. Will continue to test.

ava96

It really reminds me of something but I can't quite pinpoint it. I think it's similar to Terra di Gioia, definitely, but there's also something else...No point to buy this at this stage given that I already have Terra di Gioia.

zind

I found the first 40 minutes of Tardes difficult and it's hard to not want to blame the celery note. I almost bought it, but decided to try it once more which I am glad I did. Eventually it turns into a lovely clean scent that wafts beautifully around you. Some complain about performance, I found it rather strong! Dealbreaker for me is that I find it slightly nauseating as I often do with heliotrope bombs. I also found the dry down a little similar to Clean Reserve Heliotrope & Santal. Quite beautiful, but not something I personally can stomach wearing.

Meowmeo

This one is great: a modern powdery scent with sugared almonds. On me, it lasts for a long time and reminds me of dragee - sweets that are sometimes given as a nice treat to wedding guests. I also think it is a summer-appropriate gourmand and signature-worthy.

ohsnapamb

I put off trying this one for the longest time because usually plum doesn’t work for me and a celery note didn’t catch my attention. I got a decant recently and it was an instant love for me. It’s the most creamy elegant yet slightly powdery. It smells like the most luxurious body lotion. It’s like you just had the most pampering spa day and were just treated to the most expensive luxurious lotion that just makes you feel zen. Bought a full bottle immediately after using decant.

rovingjo

This scent is a nice embrace on a wet spring day. It is powdery scent with a warm almond that is not very sweet. The dry down is creamy and sensual.

Enrium

Tardes is probably the most interesting offering I've tried so far from Carner Barcelona. A hazy, almond-led scent that is powdery and woody without being very sweet, it is a warm, cosy perfume that envelops its wearer in a comforting embrace. It is a surprisingly non-gourmand rendering of almond - more hazy heliotrope than sweet marzipan. There is a light, organic sweetness thanks to the tonka bean, almond and powdery florals, but it is subtle and understated. I also get a hint of dry vanilla in the background throughout.

Tardes is almond-dominant from initial spray, smooth, powdery and becoming creamy as it settles. A soft woodiness rounds it out, and some powdery rose adds subtle sweetness to the background. The plum note follows, adding a hint of jamminess. Reminiscent of a bakewell tart, but restrained enough to not overpower the other ingredients, it is an unusual addition that works. The listed celery note is worrying, but thankfully I get no astringent quality that remotely resembles it here.

The heliotrope comes to the fore as Tardes progresses, almond-like, but more floral - hazy and powdery. It is a logical progression from the almond-rose accord of the opening, and is rounded out nicely by the smooth tonka bean. Soft woody notes remain throughout, complementing it beautifully. It becomes softly musky as it fades, with powdery almond remaining until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate, but it wears fairly close to the skin throughout. It is feminine-leaning in my opinion, but potentially unisex depending on taste.

A quiet, low-key, reasonably intimate scent, it reads as a cold weather scent for me - it is the olfactory equivalent of a beige cashmere jumper. Comforting and understatedly elegant,Tardes is a pleasant, satisfying scent made with good-quality ingredients. Quiet luxury, to use a current buzzword. 4/5.

Hajimanoushka

This is just gold!! Honey, though not too sweet, warm rays of late summer evenings, salty air thick with happiness. The longevity is excellent too, sending me little whiffs of wellbeing throughout the day, even 14 hours later!

Xela_529

Such a beautiful almond fragrance! I love and adore this. It’s creamy, sultry, and sexy. 10/10!

sundayinheaven

I try to have an open mind whenever I test out a new perfume, as notes can smell vastly different depending on the composition. Expectations can easily lead to disappointment, which can lead to missing out on scents you would otherwise enjoy if you didn’t get distracted by the disappointment.

With that being said, I had high expectations when it came to Tardes. I have only heard good things about it and I usually love these notes. But to my surprise I just feel ”meh” whenever I wear it. It smells like a sun lotion or a gereric body cream. Not bad…but not very good either.

Katryna G

This girl went to college to be independent, but really, in her heart, she would be happier as a stay-at-home mum. Her satin blouse brings home a lingering smell of a sterile laboratory where she spends her work days. When she’s at work, she can’t wait to come home to play with dolls with her daughter or braid her blonde hair. In all honesty, she likes to iron her husband’s shirts more than attend important work meetings. Her kitchen smells of a warm almond cake, and when her husband comes home and takes her hand to his mouth to kiss it, there is still a lingering smell of celery from making him a salad for lunch this morning when everyone was still asleep.

Mizi

This scent is beautiful, sexy and creamy. A bit too masculine for me, not to say it’s a masculine scent, only to my taste. Otherwise I would be getting a bottle. Great projection and performance. It does evoke a hot summer evening in Spain. 4/5

Shan101beauty

Such a beautiful creamy scent. I get the almonds which also give off a cherry like scent with some powderiness.

Cervidae91

For me Tardes reads as a musky almond fragrance with indistinctive florals. It may be the celery note that adds a small aroma of something vegetable. When it opens I smell cherry (due to the semi bitter almond). A friend of mine told me that I smelled like I was wearing a luxurious body cream and I can see why she said that. Not a beast, decent longevity and sillage. This fragrance paired with L'occitane amande lait concentré body cream is magic. It can be worn during all seasons but I prefer it on Spring and Autumn. At some stages it reminds me of Palo Santo from the same brand but I couldn't do the rum and milk notes in that one. Inoffensive, clean and sweet (not the overload of sugar that i feel with Girl of Now, that's for sure). Feminine leaning in my opinion.

jayznar

I know ridiculous blind buys are kinda a 2021 phenomenon, but I decided to buy a 100ml blind for WHAT reason lol idk. I have been interested in Tardes for over a year now. The notes seem so unique and I love musk, almond and tonka.

At very first spray, I was scared. It smelt like a musk bomb in the beginning with a molecular punch.
At 5-10 minutes in, so much of this fragrances personality comes out. It was interesting, kinda smelling like a bathroom at an expensive hotel.
30 minutes in... the magic started 😍🤭 I finally understood the hype. This is tonka musk almond scent with intricate details making it more interesting.

The only thing that I can think of that has a similar vibe is Clean Reserve Skin and I'd argue this is better.

PerfumePixie87

Tardes is a straightforward and incredibly powdery almond/vanilla perfume. An easy reach for casual daytime wear, sort of reminds me of Velvet Tonka by BDK. The combination of the plum, tonka and almond does give off an impression of bakewell tart which is somewhat pleasant. I will continue to test wear my sample and report back on performance.

Rainstorm

This is one of those fragrances that has to have time to settle on skin. I’m not quite sure yet whether it should be under sprayed or whether it needs more time to settle. I’ve had my bottle just under a year. I reach for besos more.
This is suffocating when first sprayed and very dolls head. It’s not heady but is very talcum powderesque. I’ve been sitting here for the last 5 mins with it I want it to die down a bit. I think the rosewood, plum and particularly geranium will help cut through the musk overload and settle into a good combination of the notes. I do like powder scents or at least did but through my scent journey or at least presently I’m looking for something more ethereal and floral. If you want to feel cozy and warm though this fits that feel. It feels like you’re in a musk bubble. At at least down the toy aisle whilst simultaneously wearing a slightly sweet perfume and the mix of both creates a unique aroma. It doesn’t feel childish though I have to say that even though it’s got the reminiscent almond/ dolls association. I actually feel like this fits a sexy hot woman going about her day to day business, Carner is from Barcelona and yes it feels like I could see a Spanish and italian woman wearing this, it has cool laid back vibes. It is not French style.
Definitely one with its own DNA. I do like it. It’s not something that’s me per se but I can appreciate it and do find the times to enjoy it.

markvel

I'm on my second bottle of Tardes
I still didn't find better almond perfume then this
Absolute love for Tardes

AkaNeri

It reminds me to some degree of Penhaligon's Artemisia, but that one is more floral, this one more almondy. I prefer this one. Longevity it medium. The perfume is not sweet, it's powdery-almondy-comforting. Great for the winter.

ingrid.superstar

Me, again. I finally figured out what this reminds me of: underneath its sour-cherry dryer-sheet exterior is a whiff of musky sourness that reminds me of perm solution being mixed at some distance -- not the ammoniac zing of doing it oneself. Oddly, not as unpleasant as it sounds; it's a nostalgic scent for me, actually, but I can put Tardes to rest now knowing that I don't want to wear it with this association so strongly present.

WifeyPink

This has recently had some hype on YouTube.. justified? Not sure. It's not one of those amazing knock your socks off scents. The opening is a harsh semi cheap smelling laundry detergent. Which immediately made me think 'Wow I should've just got another bottle of fabreeze or downy wrinkle release & saved some cash" thankfully it changes in the dry down. It's a very soft smelling clean almond with a drop of vanilla. I can think of other soft almond scents specifically by Dior that I prefer for the same price. And Girl of Now Shine for half the price. I don't dislike this perfume but right now it wouldn't be a repurchase. Just nothing special to my nose and when I want an almond or clean or soft or cozy fragrance I'd gravitate towards others in my collection over this. Maybe it'll grow on me as I wear It. Projection seems poor but longevity seems decent at the 4 hour mark right now

ingrid.superstar

I've been testing this like mad, trying to figure it out. Had a full bottle on order, then canceled it. I'm realizing that wearing Tardes is like wearing two clashing perfumes at once. Though it dries down to something like an almond frosting/glaze, it takes sort of a sour, herbal, green route to get there. It's odd. Perhaps it's the celery or geranium that makes for the green punch I get in the opening and middle. This is neither gourmandish or all that feminine. It's pleasant, but a little thin. Poor sillage, good longevity.

AmBo

Started okay on first wear but increasingly got worse as I wore it over several weeks. Begins as bug spray and dries down to an off almond milk. Not a fan.

dzingunyte

This smells like Gaultier La Male on drydown. At least on my skin. A bit more creamy and sweet

amanda0727

Really nice fresh clean scent. I can bathe in this. I really get that green celery note but its not too overpowring unless i sniff it up close.

derby2169

Heading out of the department store with only a few minutes left I grabbed Tardes and sprayed it on my hand and walked out. Putting my hand to my nose I immediately got a gut reaction to this scent before I could even process it. This is the first of almost 400 scents that immediately made me nauseous and it is unfortunately on a personal level (keep on reading before you down vote) the worst scent I have ever smelled (and I have smelled Serge Lutens MKK).

It opens up with straight up sweetened talcum powder and heliotropin giving that half mimosa half almond vibe but immediately accompanied with an accord of stale cosmetic products underneath, like a really old and slimy bar soap that has been sitting out for a good year or so. Transported me immediately to the bathroom of a mean great-aunt I had only visited a hand full in my childhood with a bathroom full of cosmetic products that must have been at least 2 decades old. There is something so intensely plastic-y while sweet that sends shivers down my spine.
As it develops the intense powdery top note fades and you are left with a clean soapy luxury hotel body lotion, slightly reminiscent of that Xerjoff musk dry down accord you get in Naxos. Much more bearable than the opening with some fruity nuances in the mix.

At first I thought it was only me, but subsequently had the other four people that wear around me smell it while trying to keep a straight face, and none of them even remotely seem to find it pleasant.
I don't want to discourage those of you who enjoy this scent to wear it, just consider that not everyone around you will tolerate such an intensely sweet yet overtly powdery/plastic-y/soapy experience.

lulu1979

A refined version of Le Male JPG. Smelt way too male on my skin for such a sexy scent as a result.
I reckon this could smell delicious on someone else though, it's got all the notes for sensual allure, full on musky and soft violet plum... with the softly spoken rosewood and cedar notes bringing in some balance and class to the sex-musk. All softness over spice.
I got a hint of rose in the top note on opening but it sank behind the tonka and musk pretty quickly.
Very sweet overall. Very likeable and high sillage, but just not for me.

Mervozz

Deliciously almondy with just enough sweetness and woody florals. I really like it! I don't think it is super unique but that's OK. Office-safe & colleague complimented.

DS9Dax

Almond that is dry and powdery. Dries down to a very soft musky rose. Stays powdery. More of a classic vibe.
It is clean and smooth. Only lasts a couple hours on my skin but other reviewers noted it to be longer lasting.
Worth sampling before you buy a full bottle.

Stephswan

Couldn’t figure out if I liked the plastic doll head smell in this one. First couple of sprays, loved. Kept going back for more with my wrists. Tried again today with a more generous spray and it’s really just so so. The hubby said, “meh. Generic. Smells like perfume” and even though it’s light and soft and pretty…this just isn’t fb worthy for me.

thalassophile

The creamiest, nuttiest, most beautiful clean almond scent. Unique but safe for work. Much creamier and nuttier than Prada's Infusion d'Amande - I prefer this one. Gorgeous.

likesleet

sweet plum syrup and light, windy rush of almond (but the appetizing kind, not macarons / almond flour . caramelized tonka. so nice, but hills out

i get a slightly plummy lost cherry... complete with the sweet powdery almond. Not beast mode but radiates an arm length.

I got a sample in a store and decided to try it without investigating and having an idea what it will be like. The smell was unexpected and I instantly fell in love. I'm not sure why I thought it was going to be a more provocative smell, but it's very pleasant and mild. After a few minutes, the smell became more distinctive and I could smell the milky, creamy and powdery notes. It's slightly sweet too, but not overwhelming. There is almond as well. I can see myself wearing it at work or for other day activities, but not at night. I'm afraid it's not going to last all day, but at least it will be consistent. The issue I have with other perfumes with powdery notes is that eventually, you end up smelling like powder and nothing else and all perfumes start smelling the same. This is why I usually avoid them, but I consider buying this one.

420

From the first spray I was instantly addicted to this.
Such a beautiful, sweet, nutty and floral combination that I absolutely adore. I want to buy a bottle for my girlfriend so she can wear it, a bit to feminine for me.
Amazing!

Atabey_H

This is one of the few fragrances for me which smells exactly like the laid-out note breakdown in its exact pyramidical order! It's a soft alluring scent with a surprisingly full body. It lasts easily over 12 hours on me.

niagara2

The hype is real and Tardes is a gem. Almondy, warm, slightly bitter, but also awake and elegant. There is both uniqueness and easiness to it. It's not too overpowering and is therefore very versatile but still robust enough to make a statement. Love.

DamajikaProject

Beautiful!
So sweet, but not sticky
Just like a nuts cupcake

Sa_San_Bon

I had a stupid metaphor for it first "almond flavoured sunset" what a stupid thing to say. But honestly, I first wore it in the evening on a hot night out in Seville. I had a few drinks and the sunset was spectacular and it smelled so sweet and gentle. What intrigued me about this scent is a promise of celery, but I don't pick up any of it. Also it lists a plum but it smells like a cherry pit to me. Also I think the woody notes here are so nice and suave.

Lashtx43

This smells like plastic doll heads but in a good way.
Easy reach. I didn’t love it at first but I do really like it now.
I gave it to my daughter and she loves it. Good out-of-the shower, white T-shirt and jeans. Messy bun and mascara. Lip gloss and Hey Dudes.

betsyglez8

Very soapy for me , sharp I don’t find the almond

Machida

What? I’m so confused. This smells like tempra to me. Like fake synthetic berrys but make it syrup. I was so excited to try it because of all the hype but definitely not for me ☹️

stoa

Blind buy - too sweet for me.
DM me if interested in buying full bottle, sprayed twice, 100ml (Croatia only).

JennyNoBull

I just received my full bottle of this scent and I have the feeling it won't last long. I want everything in the world to smell like this. The heliotrope and tonka bean give the most pleasant almond note, the florals are subdued and the wood is so smooth. This fragrance has so much personality while at the same time being understated. It's the quiet person who you get to know well and in doing so you realize how interesting they are. In general I adore the Carner DNA and this fragrance in particular is a year round scent for me. People seem to recommend it for cooler months, but I think Tardes is absolutely perfect any time of the year and it wears well on me in the heat. It does become a skin scent after a couple of hours, but I continually catch whiffs for most of the day. It's clean, comforting, soft, creamy and dreamy. I'll likely be purchasing full bottles of Rima XI and Palo Santo in the future, but this one is my favourite for warmer months.
Edit: about 6 months in, this fragrance morphed to have excellent longevity. Still one of my favour scents in my collection.

Divinest

I have a bottle of Comandante, this is 90-95% Comandante. Only once you get past the sweet fruity opening does that similarity slightly fade. As it dries, it begins to show more powdery aspects, with the almond and heliotrope combination doing a lot of the carrying here. The one thing that Tardes does well is that the almond does not smell bitter or give off bad body odor vibes. Comparison to Alexandria II isn't really there, I wear A2 as a signature and I think people are comparing drydowns here. A2 drydown just has more to it and the openings aren't at all similar.

I don't think this is plasticy, rubbery, synthetic etc. Tardes retails at €160 for 100ml which is in-line with some of the lesser known niche brands (e.g. BDK, Perris Monte Carlo, Goldfield & Banks), so I don't think the value is bad - the quality is more than half of Comandante, so this being just above half in price seems very fair. Got good longevity, sillage was also surprisingly good, but this needs some heat to work. Too much for summer, but not enough for winter; so spring/fall. Unisex, maybe leaning feminine if you don't feel comfortable wearing notes like this as a man. This is a try before you buy, but I can see a lot of people really liking this, just like Comandante.

franchizzy

First off this is a beautiful scent and it’s very close to being a true unisex fragrance in my opinion but this leans slightly to feminine due to the fruity notes in the beginning and the florals. The thing is that this fragrance does in charge over time to something that reminds me the mens version of Lolita Lempicka au Masculin and I’d dare to say if you can wait about 20 minutes Tardes morphs into a niche version of it at that time on my skin. If you’re looking for a straight up masculine version of Tardes then maybe Lolita Lempicka might be it granted that women do indeed wear the mens version too. It’s really quite interesting of how similar these fragrances are but both do share some of the same notes. If it’s had one issue is that I do believe Tardes could of used less floral notes, not stripped of all but just a tad less to make this a 50/50 unisex fragrance. You can wear fragrances anytime of the year but as for Tardes this will shine in the spring and cool summer days and summers nights in my opinion. It’s alluring, clean, and surprisingly not too powdery although the powder is certainly there I just believe it doesn’t choke you out like other fragrances. Well composed and mixed very solid quality used for any occasion. Last thing I do feel like a white attire vibe here, bright clothing, stripes, white shirt, white dress or sunflower yellow, sea green, sky blue colors in my opinion.

legitaurora

Clean and musky smell. Reminds me of lotion. Vaseline?

Losaz

How is this everyone's favorite ? It is strange to see how more than averge perfumes become superstars thanks to youtubers...another Delina story.

ELB78

For me Tardes is mainly about clean musk. It can be classy and also casual. I’m still wanting a little more almond but I do enjoy it. I think it’s a great easy grab. As others have said, do not over spray! It can be cloying if you do. I’m finding two to three sprays (also on my clothing) not directly under my nose is perfect. Longevity is moderate for me.

Hum_C

Tardes was at the top of my list from Carner Barcelona to add to my collection. Judging by the notes I was certain I would like it. Unfortunately, it smells like plastic toys on my skin. Really disappointed :(

KateWest

This is one of those perfumes that is so much greater than the sum of its parts. Exquisitely blended to blissful, sensual, perfection. This is the smell of gods in a longed for embrace after being apart for a Millenia. The only other fragrance I've ever experienced that is as satisfying to inhale as this is Guerlain's Samsara. While Samsara has a few aspects that demand processing attention, Tardes is something you can let simply bathe over you as you simply exist in this perfect moment of existential, hedonic, bliss. It really is that good.

As for notes, I get a strong milky, almondy, vanilllic opening that is just sweet enough that it skates the territorial space of a gourmand while not planting it's flag all the while being structured and supported with the perfect amount of tonka and woods. Despite the hefty price tag, if you enjoy cozy, sensual fragrances I would consider this a definite safe blind buy.

10/10 people!

Ksj_

I’m oddly reminded of Artemisia by Penhaligon’s and Daarej pour Homme by Rasasi with this one.

Side note:

I would say this is a quite lovely wearing experience and may be FBW. But I think I’ll go through my decant first and then make my decision afterward. Although, I’m really enjoying what this fragrance has to offer, and I will be sampling the rest of the house because of it.

Nicely done.

fensismeksi

This is THE BEST thing I have EVER smelled in my life. That's it.

Kaylovely

Try Heliotrope very similar. Also $40 fragnet.

tresi

There's an old donut shop, in a coastal town, that makes the most decadent Bear Claw I've ever enjoyed. The middle layer has a hint of, perhaps anise or fennel & it topped with a light dusting of powdered sugar & a generous layer of sliced almonds.
This fragrance is somehow like these pastries. It's beautiful, like something warm on a wintery sunrise walk by the shore.
It projects just fine in the cold air, it might be too much in a stuffy office. It's quite comforting before bed, or on a snuggly morning. I could see it for date nights or winter festivities. This perfume will envelop the wearer in a gorgeous almond cloud all day or night.
If you're in the market for a more budget friendly option that suits this same kind of mood, Diamonds and Rubies also bears a beautiful almond note, albeit with peach, rose & spices.

LuluSaintly

Nice, but poor longevity - it smells like the far drydown of a stronger perfume such as Chergui. It faded completely from my skin within 30 minutes but I could smell it on my wool top all day like pleasant fabric softener. Not full bottle worthy.

SweetMary

This is a smooth, velvety, creamy scent that is gorgeous, but unfortunately leans masculine on my skin. I was so disappointed, as I've heard such good things about it, and it should fit me based on the notes. But no. I'm thankful I didn't buy a full bottle, as I chose to sample it first. Which I'm gonna keep doing going forward, as I was so certain I would love this fragrance. No blind buys for me :-)

Rosieposie84

It's very sweet and feminine, it's like a dessert made of almond and flowers. Gets a bit sickly if use often - pleasant now and again. Very much 'yummy mummy pretty' type frangrance.

Alas, I will never know if I like it or not. I have ordered my discovery set (which should have included Tardes), but received all the samples I did not care for : / Such poor client service...
All I can tell is that Carner fragrances have poor longevity for what you are paying.

sigrid666

I had high hopes for this. Sadly on my skin I only get lots of annoying synthetics.Mainly florals, musk and powdery sweetness. No almond.

xxdarkstarxx

This reminds me exactly of Fleecy Liquid Fabric Softener in Calm - the pale light yellow bottle. It's a calming, fluffy, comforting, airy almond cloud. This is my signature scent and to me it's a super easy to wear because I do not mind smelling like fabric softener all day. At first it's a burst of cool powdery almond and then it quickly mellows down to this smooth almond scent with some sweetness. It will last forever on your clothes but doesn't last the best on your skin. I layer this with L'occitane almond milk concentrate to boost the longevity on my skin. If you are looking for a soft, clean, warm easy reach fragrance sample this one first - it's not blind buy worthy though because it may be too boring for some. I will never be without it!

Nooraeilert

I loved it at first, but after wearing it for a few hours it gave me a headache. Very powdery, i usually prefer clean perfumes.

Arber Cami

This perfume reminds me a bit of "Chergui from Serge Lutens" . It's woody, slightly smoky, almondy/powdery and I would even say honey like, with florals. Overall a nice unisex fragrance. Not blind buy safe in my opinion, sample before buying.

Tina905

Umm... I really do not know how to feel about this fragrance.... it is just a "meh" to me. I personally blind bought it as I love vanilla fragrances but this just doesnt hit the spot for me... it def has that barbie head smell but the fragrance as a whole is quite soft with a strong almond note.

Rosemary14

This does smell an awful lot like WWDIPIS. It’s a powdery almond, heliotrope, fruity fragrance. I have to say though that I absolutely love it 😍. I think this one is much more balanced than What We Do In Paris. WWDIP is much more sticky sweet with honey and almond. In some ways WWDIP is much more like Loukhoum by Keiko Merchari where it’s over the top gooey with powdered sugar. This one balances the sweetness with fruity plum juice, a pinch of herbal celery to add nondescript clean freshness (you don’t actually smell celery), woody notes, softness, and milky sandalwood and warm tonka. This actually also reminds me a little of my favorite fragrance Datura Noir. It’s a clean almond/vanilla aromatic fragrance. If you like this then you’ll almost certainly like that one. Although DN is much more sunscreen vibes than this. This is a must for almond/vanilla lovers! I’m absolutely in love with this version of an almond fragrance. It so edible. But, if you love this one but want it on steroids get WWDIPS or Loukhoum.

Vitriol08

Gorgeous, splendid, original, classy.
It reminds me of Bal d Afrique but with an almond note.

Neckromancer

I really smell the almond in this, which I enjoy, it's a marzipan-like almond without being too sweet.
However, I do feel like there is a more old-fashioned powderiness to it that I don't like. It's not the nature of
the powder that bothers me (in terms of being cloying or anything), it's more the actual smell of the powder.
Maybe I don't like heliotrope as a note. Or maybe it's the rose note that's causing mischief?

Itstartedwithtinkerbell

A soft Play-Doh vanilla almond almond almond. Lovely, simple, warm, and cuddly. A familiar smell from childhood: perhaps it’s the Play-Doh and also almost warm doll-head. It’s a simple pleasure.

valelita

Airy comforting sweet (but not cloying) almond. Ethereal.

sisina96rv

😁 I smile when I read the reviews. I am happy, that this is not that very much liked, because I love it!

If you are fragrance junkie and follow some YTs, and have come accross Jus de Rose channel, you know what I am talking about.
Josephine stated this would be the only perfume she would take with her on a desert island, and I understand. Maybe I would take Carner Rima XI as well... 😀 and MFK Baccarat Rouge 540. Not talking about Joop Le Bain, which I am a happy owner of, as well. They all share some similarities. They are all different, still belong to one big family of soft, vanilla-creamy-almondy spicy scents. Definitely my favourites of all time.
I wear it today, as my Mum is turning 70 and I dressed up 👗👠, made up 💄👄and perfumed "up" 😊. I wanted to feel gorgeous 👑 because of one amazing woman who gave me life 🤰. And I feel gorgeous, elegant, feminine and unique. Tardes helps me greatly with it 👌

thestranger

If it wasn't for the smell of burnt plastic in here, I'd very much like this airy almond scent

𝚂𝚙𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚜𝚑 𝚖𝚞𝚜𝚔𝚢 𝚌𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚊𝚕𝚖𝚘𝚗𝚍 𝚟𝚎𝚒𝚕

I didn’t like Carner’s Tardes in the beginning, I thought it was just another linear powdery scent.

Until I wore it a day; after an hour I was so impressed! The way it radiates is just soo good! For me it is all about powdery clean musk with an almond hint. It is simple, yet it isn’t if you pay attention. It smells like being clean in the heat, and actually reminds me of spain, as almondy scents always do.

It is by no means a gourmand scent, although there is some tonka in the background. I swear I smell a little patchouli in there too, which is what made me love it. Plum and florals are supporting and thankfully celery is nowhere to be found.

I had moderate sillage the entire day, so longevity is excellent here.

perfumesniffer

Wow, I don’t get all the hype.

Like others have pointed out, Tardes is a similar type of powdery almond/tonka scent like Lab on Fire WWDIPIS and Joop Le Bain. I like both similar fragrances more. Tardes hits a cleaner, more soapy note than the others mentioned. It’s also short lived and low sillage. It is utterly pleasant and I generally love this sort of almondy goodness, so if someone gave me a bottle, I’d happily wear it (and surely need to overspray it frequently), but given that I have “the similars,” there’s no need. I suppose if you’re smelling Tardes and have no knowledge of “the similars” you might think this stuff is great. I do have an overall love for this sort of almond-tonka-play doh accord. It’s super comfy, cozy, and delicate (but you can buy Joop Le Bain for like $20 bucks, so…)

Losaz

A dusty scent. Cannot beleive the hype behind. Smells like a something everyone wore in 1995!
Very basic .

Inésanja

Linear powdery, almond. It’s delicate, simple and soft smelling.
Clean almond smell.
It’s a very safe perfume.
A like not love.

Jolinxjojo

Powdery; feminine and sweet. Almond vanilla with depth. On the heavier side, but perfect perfect fall and winter

Lemm

I remember being a little girl, woozy from eating too many cookies in a church basement on a Wednesday night. At this stage of my life, women were all mothers to me. My own mother was there, but every other woman around was someone's mother, or so I thought, and offered me warmth and protection. Their hair was usually teased and curled into fluffy halos, the style of the mid 1990's, and they wore thick cable knit sweaters and appliqué vests. This perfume is very close to what these women smelled like to me. This perfume feels a mother's hug and it really brings me back to a child's experience of comfort and love, safe in a world of women.

joleenicole

I think giakerr’s review is pretty spot on. Very powdery and comforting. It’s a sweet (lightly sweet), powdery, almond scent. I like to wear it on cooler Seattle days that are overcast. It’s fairly light and inoffensive. It to me does not have a wow factor, but that’s not always necessary or wanted. When I reach for it I know it’s the only scent that will do on that day.

NadiaJozi

This perfume has such a delicate and good feeling that I do not get tired of smelling it. The first time I tried it, I thought it was so simple and didn’t makes me excited, but as time passed, I realized that the beauty of this perfume is in its calm nature. As if in one beautiful summer day when the weather is great, you are out in the nature and while you are walking, the sun caresses your face and the wind passes through your hair! It really feels nice!
This perfume is soft. It is very friendly.. as if you have made peace with yourself, i believe it is made to only address you, not those around you. In fact, it has made so beautifully that when you use it, you only think that no one's opinion is important except your own good feelings. I do not know if it is due to the heat that almonds creates or the powdery and cozy feeling that Heliotrope creates ... but I do know that all these notes make this fragrance to become intimate and kind!

Dreamscents

To me it smells like the colour white, powdery and fluffy. It is cleansmelling but not soapy, and I can smell flowers, but as if they where dried. After a while a buttery almondnote comes in, and makes it more full - bodied. I have smelled and owned Prada d iris and Prada Candy, but this is the best version in it's category for me. It's a comforting smell to me.

emerson10

This is an Almond heliotrope combo that I feel neutral about. Very powdery; def get the synthetic cherry comments below. Maybe I need to re-evaluate my expectations with almond frags. Powdery, almondy, syrupy in a way that I find pretty undesirable.

I don't know why this is what I'm getting but it smells like what I would imagine a cherry or almond flanker of Lady Million would smell like.

markvel

It’s such a good fragrance!
It simple but yet beautiful and unique. If you want clean/soapy/floral scent but something more interesting then this perfume is for you.
My only negative thought on this one is that sillage and longevity could be better.
Also I get some pleasant sourness in this one but I’m not sure from where it comes from…maybe celery or plum🧐

ingeneuxo

-Linear scent that is reminiscent of the opening of Histories de Parfums- 1725.
-To my nose, this appears to be a cherry-tonka scent.
-Refreshing scent that's quite unique.

*Update*
-This opens like bug spray.
-It's a warm ambery scent, but the bug spray vibes are a tad off-putting. (-)

AquaBaby5

This is a powdery floral almond that I like. This is what I wanted Louve by Serge Lutens to be, instead of cherry cough syrup. I think I am just not a fan of “fruity notes” with powdery florals and this being more focused on florals and woods is more me. At the same time, this isn’t something that I think I would reach for often as there are other lighter style scents I prefer. I’ll keep using my sample but not FBW.

Juump

Thanks for understanding, Ceeceelee! Hopefully there are many who will love Tardes the way it deserves! I plan to give it another try in the future.

ceeceelee

To Juump, the review below mine. I'm so sorry that an association with an unpleasant memory ruined a beautiful fragrance for you. But that happens, because bad memories can just overwhelm our good sensations sometimes

As for this scent, if you love almond, heliotrope and tonka, you owe it to yourself to try this fragrance. I've just tested it, but it's on my wish and next up to own. I'll give a more detailed review then. And so looking forward to it.

Juump

I fell in love with this the first time I smelled it, and bought it right away. I read the reviews of tardes after I had used it a few times and saw that someone mentioned "doll head". I ended up selling my perfume since this ruined it a bit for me. I do not have fond memories of the smell of "doll head". Leaving aside this note, this is an absolutely beautiful perfume in my opinion.

scensitive

if there was a dwarfish, bonzai almond tree set in against some shrubbery and the sunrise lifted on a plum orchard right at the moment when a few fawn prance around, in that lapse of the daybreak where steam eviscerates from moistened rocks abuted by some wild grasses, life might be a little sweet.

mikecch

Tardes opens with powdery, floral almonds.
A heart of dense PURPLE represents the main presentation of the scent - it is deep, flowery, dark with a hint of sweetness.

Very likeable, pretty even. Feminine to my nose.

Well worth a sample for ladies looking for a darker, unusual day time scent.

giakerr

The initial spray of Tardes is an almond-heliotrope-tonka scent that’s reminiscent of cherries. The musk in this is quite airy and complimentary of the powdery sweetness of heliotrope. I think the plum note is sweet and honey-like, but not especially perceptible to me. Tonka in the base is like a lightly balsamic vanilla bean and warm, dry wood. It dries down to a lovely doll head heliotrope, which is exactly why I love it.

I find it similar to Joop! Le Bain and What We Do In Paris is Secret. This shares a heavy, warm tonka with Le Bain and a honeyed, sweet heliotrope with WWDIPIS- that scent is much smoother, but not as long lasting. In comparison, Tardes is more of an everyday scent. It especially blooms on a cold rainy day while wearing a fuzzy sweater.

I see this compared to the smell of a mother, and I don’t mind that description. It’s warm and approachable, with a powdery gentleness of a mother’s hug.

Danae27

I watch a lot of reviews on YouTube and one particular YouTuber (Jus de Rose) mentioned this quite a lot on various videos so I ordered myself a sample to see for myself what it was all about.........WOW!

This was definitely love at first sniff. I couldn't stop myself from sniffing my wrist, it was so addictive. The almond note is to die for, it gives me the 'plastic doll' scent which I absolutely love. The fruity and floral notes are there in the background on my skin which makes it sweet but not in a cloying way. Longevity is great and sillage is good. I would wear this in all seasons and for any occasion, this could be my signature! The FB was ordered within 24 hours of first sniff.

This does have the same vibes as What We Do In Paris Is Secret (which I also own) but I find Tardes to be more refined and sweet.

poppyetpear

Something about this reminds me of D&G Pour Homme. This leans very masculine on me. I don't know what I was hoping for, maybe something comforting and warm. This is a bit sharp.

echurch1979

My oh my, what a pretty little thing! My initial impression upon first sniff was the kind of calm class brings. Across all economic and social lines, there are a group of people who possess this confident assuredness, that makes them appear regal and at ease. This is how this perfume projects for me. It is both brazen, and whisper soft; embolden, and demurely coy. Top forward notes are balanced between the powdery clean of heliotrope and sugary sour plum. All the while this playful note of rose weaves in and out, as if to dance. Almond seems aloof until we reach the heart, and then this chord maturates, moving from bitter green tones to a woody and nutty depth. A proper introduction for the dry down, where rosewood and cedar disperse amongst the surprising additions of geranium and celery. Both of which are a much needed and surprisingly verdant awakening. Without them the other ingredients would dominate in a way to tip this natural equilibrium, and muddy crystalline waters. In the end, as this perfume makes its final surrender, tonka and musk lead us into perfect symmetry - composed, quiet, and peaceful respite.

Zenta

I loved this in the warm month of August and thought it would be good in the winter since it has the feeling of a smooth silk blanket that wraps around you. But some how it doesn’t feel right for me now when it’s colder. I will save it for the warmer months. For some reason I think of a late summer night when the sun has set and you need a little extra warmth.

meroo

Made by Daniela (Roche) Andrier, now a house perfumer of Prada, so you can expect a clean powdery scent.
As a man I find this to be gorgeous! soothing and very well blended, it never pulls too far in being flowery, sweet or powdery!
I would say doesn't have sexiness in it, but plenty of class and a bit of coziness.
Works day or night, every season except hot summer days maybe.
I definitely recommend trying this out.

katariina9

This almond fragrance is absolutely gorgeously made. Soft, caressing, with nutty heart and slightly floral projection. Perfect alluring cold weather scent, excellent quality with nice but not overbearing projection and decent longevity. Its not exactly powdery scent, but it is dry and fluffy, like a warm light cashmere shawl. Impeccable quality as with also evth else coming from Carner Barcelona, one of the nicest houses I've discovered recently.

Imo Tardes is foolproof for almond and tonka lovers. Slight warm pastry feel, but not enough to be full-on gourmand. On my skin I can detect aromatic lackered wood quality that softens pencil shavings note. Rose is not prominent, it doesn't compete with almond, but adds to slightly soapy feel in the drydown. The composition does not change too much throughout the development. Super comfortable to wear, plus most likely a crowdpleaser.

p.s. I've Palo Santo by CB on my other wrist and the drydown is very similar to Tardes. Very clean, soft and slightly soapy wood and tonka. I like both very much.

Moeytja

Tardes is a clean, creamy, almondy comfy smell. It smells very strong of detergent! Like a chic detergent lol. This is an after the shower smell for when you want to be in lounge wear or something very casual. At home. Running errands, movies. Perfect scent before bed. Wintery. Winter mornings.

I wanted to like this more, like that cumulous fluffy creamy marshmallowy cloud some ppl describe. I smell way too much soap or detergent.

Like.

Zenta

I got this fragrance in a Sniph subscription. I had chosen the category “trending now” but didn’t really know what to expect. Now that I have tested it it reminds me of a luxury body lotion or even a sun lotion (but not in a coconutty, fruity way). I have to say I really like it. It feels cozy and clean.

ohmichelle

This is pleasant. Smells like makeup products to me. Like a luxury lipstick or a powder.
It smells like plum at first and then it turns into a light and feminine almond powdery scent.
I think this would smell really attractive on a man. It’s not one that I would immediately peg as a unisex scent, but I could see this on a business man in a nice tailored suit.
I have a sample of this and I’ll keep it just to have it. I don’t see myself wearing this often, because for a woman it just screams “stay-at-home-mom” for me no offense to anyone

NightMusic

A smooth, creamy almond scent perfect for any time of year. The plum note is also quite prominent. This scent reminds me a lot of Armani’s Sensi, a fragrance I loved in my early 20s but that has been long discontinued. Tardes is by no means a dupe. But anyone craving the beautiful powdery almond of Sensi might find this to be a good alternative.

Selah

The opening was nice and interesting. As I expected, powdery accords were more prominent (which I am not a fan of). Because of this, I am not interested. If you like powdery accords, then this might be for you. The performance is good.

Fluffyandpuffy

This is a beautiful feminine floral beauty, the notes are blended very nicely, nice sillage, longevity good too, complement getter? Yes. A must try for sure, I’m just now trying it and am in love with this, keep smelling myself, very lovely indeed!

strongerwithglue

It reminds me of Smarties (also known as Rockets or Fizzers). The scent is NOT the same as Smarties, but in the way that it smells dusty and sweet. It's an airy, uplifting scent, kinda powdery. I totally get why some people feel it's a women's fragrance. I don't think most men necessarily aim to smell like this when they buy fragrance, so by default it leans feminine, however this doesn't smell unusual on a man at all. In fact, it's one of my more complimented scents. It's almost like the world's dreamiest fabric softener; it makes you smell clean and snuggly.

Super easy to wear, harmless, but not boring either IF you enjoy more delicate scents. And when I say delicate, I don't mean in projection (it's decent), but in scent character. As in, this might be what angel wings smell like.

Ahhhhh....big fluffy-cream cumulus clouds adrift in Miyazaki blue skies, laughing white-gold-haired children with flushed cheeks, shoulders apricot-pink, running with the rabbits in the melba peach sun. Nibbles of almond cakes, toes curled in sugar-blonde sand as pale fingertips pinch the sweet green stems of wild violets...

Achingly lovely, hauntingly beautiful, Tardes is a milky new moon, sent from heaven, a heavenly scent, and as genderless as the angels themselves. There is no sexier, more alluring scent than a man wearing something a little...unexpected.

Are there gender boundaries for joy?

Firooz

I love it. I love it's mild sweetness. The opening is a bit unisex but soon it turns to a delicate, creamy and feminine scent. I can't stop sniffing my wrist; most buy a full bottle.

mrxmas6501

NOT UNISEX. Smell is okag, but more for girls that are feeling "cute" but not going for sexy if that makes sense. I am a guy and wearing it just felt off and I have a liking for unisex scents that lean feminine.

tessture

I adore most of the listed notes, but the combination in this one is way too powdery for me. I have to pass, which is a shame coz everyone else seems to be loving this and I do adore vanilla and almonds.

agsss7

Clean, powdery, dry, but classy and fresh scent I absolutely adore. Opens with almonds and lovely tonka bean. I can also smell cherry, which is not listed. At the very beginning (first 5 mins) it smells a little like a Play Doh :)

It reminds me so much of Prada’s Infusion d'Amande. They both share almond/bitter almond, tonka, heliotrope and musk, but I find Infusion d'Amande to be a more fresh (would it be anise note?).

Tardes was a blind buy, but I love this scent so much! For me it is a perfect option for summer nights and rainy summer days.

Lolapoop

blind buy and great dissapointment . too dry. brings to mind wet cardboard . My impression is as if few composits were missing to make it full product.

nic.capone

This is the very first fragrance that literally everyone liked. The people in my life who I can always trust to give an (sometimes overly) honest opinion about my various perfumes...myself, my fiance, my mother, my daughter, my sisters, and even the Uber driver...all positive reviews. Most offered up praise without even being asked. What a comforting scent; yes it's a sweet, powdery, cherry-almond delight. It might not be daring, bold, or sexy...but it is so very nice, and has great sillage and longevity.

Samamtha

Tardes is so clean and warm that it makes you think of your nice Great Aunt Dorothy who always keeps salt water taffy in her tidy, well-lit living room. She has the comfiest, cleanest guest bed with white sheets and softest white duvet that you love to roll in. Yes I have strange imaginations.

pennypencil

An enjoyable scent to me, quite similar to Lolita Lempicka Fleur Defendue, which makes sense because of the prominent almond paired with red fruit and powdery florals (heliotrope/ violet).
Personally, I can't get enough powdery almond, so I think this is a wonderful scent. It won't be to everyone's taste (people mention dolls' heads, vintage boudoirs, baby powder when talking about fragrances like this) but it's one of my favourite fragrance groups. If you're a fan of Maison Margiela Lipstick On, Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose, or Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum, you might want to try Tardes. It's more accessible than those scents - fruitier, younger - but very nice.

Hayley_6

Its so beautiful I’ve been pretty much wearing it non stop since a kind Fragrantican sent me a decant and now it’s all gone sob! I would definitely love a bottle if I can some day. It’s almond, cherries, heliotrope, musky such a happy fragrance to wear. It cheers up a rainy November day. I bet it would be nice all seasons, am starting to save up!

eholley485

Nice unisex almond scent. I like this in the fall. Very safe

GRAF

Beautiful and classy unisex scent with almonds. One of my favourite notes. It reminds me many cheaper scents that they sell here in small economic perfume shops. Quality is here, smooth blend but the smell is not something new for me.

Dominant notes are almonds, tonka beans, musk, rose and heliotrope. The rest notes are very mild. Suitable for spring/fall, day and night. It is long lasting with moderate sillage.

JaneBluff

I thought I'd really like this based on the notes but it just smells like semi sweet laundry detergent and celery. I don't find it similar to What We do in Paris is Secret. It's fresh and clean smelling, with subtle wafts of tonka and almond but it's not what I was after. I'm happy with my small decant as it is quite nice, but it's not something I'd gravitate towards often.

dsty

Carner Barcelona has been on my radar for quite a while, because I read such a lot of good things about this house on Fragrantica, and now that I've finally tested my first sample of theirs, this Tardes, I have to say I believe the hype.
In its sample vial it smells amazing, an intoxicating blend of heliothrope, tonka and almonds. And that's exactly what I get on my skin as well, at least after the first few minutes when it's calmed down a bit. The very first opening is a bit much, very sweet and a bit rubbery, and I was taken aback by it the first few times I tested. But now that I'm used to it I like this part as well - it only heralds what's to come. Because it definitely stays very sweet throughout the development, even when it's more settled and has come all the way into its own - very rich and rather heady, and like I said pretty near intoxicating, because it's so, so good. And it sticks around for hours, with good projection.
I don't think this would work as well on a warmer day as it does on this gloomy, quite cold day in spring, but right now it's perfect. Another one for my wish list, and another house to explore more thoroughly after this very positive first impression!

pars2002

Unisex without any doubt. I love it and found some similarities with Guerlain Homme Ideal. I am wearing this during spring and really enjoy.

Lomasfuerte

This is a niche version of bvlgari black

Lockon

This is a fragrance...I'm happy that I got to sample it first, instead of outright buying it. SMH, I fell in love with this fragrance house because of El Born...So gave this a shot.
I am not impressed, this fragrance isn't for me.
And I am willing to trade this if anyone has a gourmand fragrance, in their collection that they're willing to decant and swap me for this.

This smells like; I just picked up my clothes from the dry cleaners...full of starch & etc..
With a hint of fabric softener.
IMO...that's what I get.

I used two sprays...both wrist.

Would I buy this again? No.

Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? Just okay.

What's the strength of this? EDP.

Am I willing to trade this fragrance? Yes!

Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It?
Sample it first!

Can you use it as a unisex scent? Yes.

Is it the old, new formulation? New.

What's its availability; in production, limited edition or discontinued? In production.

Jitterbug Perfume Lover

I am wearing this today and I've fallen in love with it on a whole new level. In the summer heat, it was light and effervescent and now that it's cooler, it's wearing thicker and sweeter. I love that this scent feels so different in different weather. It's like two scents in one and both are beautiful.
I like the almond with heliotrope and Tonka. It makes it resinous and lush. In summer, I get a more dominant almond but now in winter the tonka is more dominant.

EnglishCountryGarden

Beautiful, classical fragrance which reminds me of my mother's house on Sundays. (not sure why it had to be Sundays) A soft, dusting powder creaminess underlies a beautiful arrangement of almond, cherry frangipane, florals and indistinct late summer fruitiness. It is most certainly a wasp siren and not one I would be wearing between August and Halloween for fear of being divebombed by drunken frisky wasps on their annual frenzied outing before settling down for the long nap. This is one for my winter wardrobe. Too heavy for spring, when all I want is linden and lilacs. I sprayed a bit on my bed linen and cuddled down feeling the comforting memories of a tummy full of sunday dinner and the smell, the touch, the familiarity of my mother's house way back when. On my skin, it rapidly loses all it's charm though, and within two hours has turned to the dry smell of double wall cardboard boxes. A bit of a shame - such a beautiful entrance, then this fragrant dancer falls head first off the stage.

samuelgustav

A very good unisex floral-powdery fragrance and my favorite from this line (had not tested all of them but most), the woods and almond give it a masculine vibe with the heliotrope rose and plum a feminine touch.
Without looking at the notes I wouldn't say this was almond so even if you do not like almond you may like this, my first impressions where fresh, sweet fruity-woody fragrance with some floral, very unisex, in the same style of bal d'afrique (not equal but in the same style, this one is very different).

Been wearing it since this afternoon, it's late at night still present, congrats on the performance (summer, 30º celsius).

Quality is also very good, got a sample of this one and rima, will test them more

Shahram.yari

Yesteray I tested it and it resemble alot Versace Dreamer.

Karin575

I don't like the note of heliotrope in perfumes that much. Sometimes it can be too powdery and old-fashioned for my taste. But this combination of almond and heliotrope got me sold! It's creamy and sweet and ice cream-ish, bordering on gourmet -). Reminds me of Diamonds Violet from Armani, despite not having the violet note in it. I am not sure if I buy the full bottle, but it was worth checking out-).

_christine_

Tardes leaves me so conflicted. It starts with a soapy rose that I don't love, yet I want to smell Tardes all the time. I had a bottle in my home office and I sprayed it constantly.

There's some so delicious and crave-worthy about this scent. It takes notes that aren't my favorites and makes me thirst for them.

I don't know what kind of majick Tardes is working, but it's wonderful and intriguing.

Cmed

I love this after getting a sample. I wish I could afford it! It really is serene and quietly confident. To me it's on the sweet side but something just takes top off the sweetness to make it such a good balance. Although it's very classy and subtle there's a hint of naughtiness that comes with being good enough to eat.

Soofiya

A generous friend of mine lend me his bottle of tardes so that I can try it for a while and I'm very thankful.most rated notes are heliotrope, almond, tonka and musk.these are my favorite notes
Tardes opens very almondy-woody.not a soft, sweet and delicious almond powder.it has bitterness and woody dryness which give it a masculine vibe.it needs some time for heliotrope, musk and tonka to showup and soften the blend.unlike it's opening which is bitter and a little harsh and woody, drydown is a soft airy almondy powder with a delicate sweet creamyness and pleasant warmth, still unisex but leans more towards feminity.I can't pickup plum but I can see a slight touch of rose in it like a floral freshness(sometimes I feel the freshness I feel is because of celeri)I can also detect something like a soft touch of musky suede which grounds everything
All in all I like it.it's warm, cozy and pleasant but I think I have already enough of powdery, almondy, heliotrope perfumes (Burberry Brit,Nina ricci belle amour, pure eve different company, lalique satin)and I have guerlain l'instant magic in my wishlist so I don't have a plan for adding tardes to my collection but if you want an almondy perfume without fruity naunces or too much sweetness it's a good choice.Longevity and sillage are both very good.it's wearable in mild to cold weather

on the noze

Very surprised to learn this is a woman's perfume and not classed as unisex. I full on expected this to be male focused. How wrong I am!
I'm so impressed by the house of Carner Barcelona because of the quality of this but not sure if I'm in love yet.

I'm Checking out all Carner Barcelona perfumes in the way of a sample pack.

The heliotrope is the main player in this for me and the almond is clear.

But I'm not convinced I'm a fan of the notes. The actual perfume, however, is lovely and strong. One spray is all you need. How rare is that today? That alone is impressive because of the endless perfumes that fade away within the first hour or 2. (Tragic when you think about the $ we pay) Great performance and longevity. I want more than a quick blast of sensation. I want other people to gently smell what I'm wearing and I CERTAINLY want to smell myself and is a few hours too much to expect from a frag? Not with CB Tardes.
Carner Barcelona's line of very interesting scents looks like they're well worth checking out.
I hope they're all as intense as this!

BloomPerfume

Tardes is one of bestselling perfumes at Bloom for a reason; the balance between the bitterness of the almond trees and the sweetness of the Bulgarian rose is a wonderfully unique thing. The flower itself is sweetened with plum and tonka beans so it doesn’t scream red roses at the top of it’s lungs; it more whispers in pink about the flower’s serious sensuality.

babypink_fairish

Wow..it's delicious! Without being overbearing. I like this a lot! It would be great wearing this during winter time, would feel so cozy and warm just by smelling it. Wonderful creation. I am truly impressed by Carner - this is my first time smelling their perfume and I am excited to know more.

Planet_X

Very tasteful, woody, powdery-dusty-like almond. Done in a classy way, it is almost a gourmand, but the one you can wear in office or in a conference-room. Very well-behaved musk, plummy musk, may I add. It is not the fragrance "in your face", has grace, dignity and a sense of tact. Extremely pleasant surprise. To me it has got a DNA of Lacoste pour Femme, vintage version

PipeDreams#1

This fragrance is sooooooooo delicious! I was unsure of what to expect reading the notes. Celery? Almond? Musk? This could have been a mess, instead it's blended so beautifully that the end result is nothing short of amazing. This is cozy and soft but wields some impressive longevity. I could still get whiffs of this at the end of a long workday. The almond is not super gourmand and fake, it's natural and more like the smell of raw almonds as opposed to the sickly sweet almond extract found in other fragrances. I REALLY enjoyed this sample and will be strongly considering a full size bottle

Cherry_Darling

Dusty powdery vanilla / almond with floral notes - heliotrope mainly little rose thankfully. It's nice but I'm not blown away.

Migotka

Tardes is such an unusual, beautiful scent.
It sort of reminds me of Bois Farine in a way that it has this powdery, almost flour-like texture to it, but is a lot more floral than woody. It also bears a slight resemblance to Eau d'Hiver thanks to the lovely heliotrope note. It is delicate, cosy, light. The tonka base is simply delicious.

When I tested it, it stood out for me among all the floral summer perfume, and there were some beauties in there too and when I can think of scents made in the last few years, there is nothing quite like it. I find it sort of addictive, which does not happen to me much with summer scents.

Vanian

How strange, I smell so many violets in this fragrance, which are not listed in its pyramid. Perhaps just my nose 'vision'.
However, it is a lovely memorable fragrance which could be worn exactly as how its name points 'Tardes'.

rossyegio5

Mellyhelly

Oh-oh, here comes some emotion in months.
This perfume moved me deeply and I'm not sure that is just because it smells good to me. There must be something down memory lane here for me.
I love the almond done in this way, far from the sickening candy scents. The rose is dewy and juicy, surrounded by fruits. Honestly I didn't detect plum without reading the list notes, but it makes sense.
IMO this is a very feminine scent, especially in the opening and heart.
The celery must be the weird note? I'm not sure how celery smells in a perfume. I don't smell anything like the raw vegetable.
I love the drydown with heliotrope and feve tonka.
It's a seducing perfume in the way it seduces my brain, not in the stereotype sexy clichè.
Anyway I think it got on my brain for memory reasons, because it smells like something that could have been made in the '80s, perhaps something by Versace like Versus Donna in the red bottle.
It's also very longlasting and highly projecting.

shushkin

A gorgeous fragrance. Its got all my favourite notes in it and I barely get any celery lol. I also immediately get tonka, heliotrope and almond but this is not sickly sweet as you might expect. I think the rosewood tones down the sweetness a bit and along with the geranium and musk add another side to this fragrance. It adds almost a dry rose element that really works well with the sweeter notes. Its almost smoky. I do get the plum but it all blends so well together that you really need to concentrate to pick out individual notes. Good sillage and longevity

Mooniq

Lovely notes, but on my skin Tardes gets totally masculine. The first almond-scent that is 100 % man.. a great scent and I love it but not on my skin.

Härliga noter, men på mig blir Tardes totalt maskulin. Den första mandel-doften som är 100% man. En underbar doft och jag älskar den - men inte på mig.

rickyrebarco

Tardes is stunning on my skin. Soft notes of heliotrope and almond emerge first, then warm breezes waft in with notes of tonka that smells more resinous then vanilla to me. These are joined by warm woods and bright notes. The rose and geranium are beautiful and spicy. The bright greenness of the celery keeps this a beautiful outdoor fragrance without smelling like a salad.

Tardes is a soft warm breeze through the trees on Las Ramblas wafting scents of flowers, trees, sunkissed stone, tobacco and coffee on the breeze. While there are no specific notes of tobacco and coffee listed, I smell a soupcon of both, especially warm golden tobacco. The scent lasts a few hours, never with heavy sillage, but a pleasant wave of scent as you walk by.

Those who like strong fragrances may find this boring or too soft, but to me it is simply divine.

Steleale

Yes nice, but SYNTHETIC.

lovelyhazel

Sweet and creamy at the beginning, then all celery with a tiny side of almonds in the heart. Nice tonka and musk base. Too much celery in the middle for me. It would have been a nice addition to the heart, but I'm not ok with a celery soliflore (solivege? solivegetable? Lol).

I keep getting back to this one ..
It is warm but dry...earthy and almondy on me.
The celery note surprised me...have not sensed it .
The plum ,tonka and heliotrope is lovely , but the overall note is still - almond.
When my large collection shrinks...this will still be in the love bucket !
Got my latest compliment for smelling nice , by wearing Tardes ♥

gvalentinotti

Floral, woody, musk, these are perfect combinations for me.
I love this fragrance because it is feminine, sweet, but it is not boring and aggressive.
It is very sophisticated, brilliant, with a strong personality, but at the same time it is easy to wear.
It is excellent and I love the idea to dedicate it to the nights in Barcellona.

diorshowman

Very much similar to Versaces The Dreamer except without that nasty plastic opening of The Dreamer. Sillage and projection is perrrrfeccctttt. It does not scream on the skin rather works with your skin to be your scent, if you know what I mean. Very creamy, smooth and soft. Can be worn casually or dressed up.Excellent fragrance.

Strangely, it is the fruity notes that are the focal point of this fragrance, particularly in the opening. I don't get any of the almond/heliotrope notes, but as the fruity edge disappears, there is a strange, almost tobacco note that emerges. While it is interesting, it is not one that is appealing to me.

ParfumFetiche

This review is based on a carded sample. To my nose, I pick up almond, tonka bean and musk. I generally don't like heavy tonka bean but this one is added at just the right amount the scent actually smells really good. Looked up fragrantica and found out that heliotrope actually has almond facet. I don't really pick up the other notes they may be well-blended I think. The nose behind this is Daniela Andrier, perfumer of my favorite Prada Amber Pour Homme. Although marketed for women, this can easily be unisex IMO. All in all, it's a gourmand-ish nutty almond scent with a musky background. It has moderate projection and longevity on my skin. This one's probably not as popular as D600 and Cuirs from this house but definitely worth a try I would say.

BBPant101

Been wearing this for about an hour, the opening smells like one million.

nizzagirl

It's very gourmand on me, overhelmingly sweet heliotrope with a good portion of almond. Much too sweet for my taste.

mendwillie

Creamy and delicious. This seems rather Pure Havane I already have, but this is more smooth and creamy fixing and projection smaller than the Pure Havane. Love it.

I sort like this:
Smell: 9.5/10
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 7/10

ahsansn

Ahh wow, amazingggg! This is definitely unisex, for anyone who can pull it off. I've been trying to figure out what it reminds me off, and it just hit me.. its got a similar dry down of perfume that a girlfriend use to wear 6 - 7 years ago, Miss Sixty Elixir!

But don't be put off maybe on my skin it gives off this vibe, definitely needs to be tried!

Silage - Moderate/Heavy
Longevity - Moderate

OlfractalInfemme

Slightly lemony vanilla coconut over amber and musk. A gourmand version of Eau Blanche by Brecourt.

Majesty

My first Carner sample is Tardes!A smooth,creamy,musky,almond-heliotrope perfume.Tardes starts bittersweet and ends up a bit sweet for my taste(I can't handle well sweet perfumes)It is pleasant, creamy, smooth like a warm blanket. It's the kind of perfume that you are wearing in a cold day, sitting in front of a fireplace and drinking a cup of warm white chocolate.Cuddly, simple and happy, that's Tardes. If you like perfumes like Lacoste Pour Femme,Guerlain L'Instant Magic,Penhaligon's Artemisia (which I found a great resemblance,it maybe be a bit lighter than Artemisia though)you will enjoy Tardes for sure.

iatrogenius

Holy Shit where have you been all my life.
The only almondy airy smell I tried was Mondorlo Di Scilia by Acqua Di Parma. Pleasant smell that one was...and that's all...airy but too almondy and has this lingering thickness to it and is missing something.

Enter..Tardes.

This is what Mondorlo should have been
To me..this is a mix of Mondorlo Di Sicilia and Voleur De Roses from L'artisan.

Except much lighter
More creamier
and far more magical.

Projects forever. For such light smell this thing just keeps protruding. love at first sniff for me.

And to me, the star of the show...the faint heliotrope along with the rosewood form this enchanting spectacle of flowery powder...mystical fireworks in my opinion. love it!!

will always be a staple. I get mine from MiN in nyc, and I highly suggest men sample this stuff because it is extremely versatile, long lasting, perfect for any weather any occassion. Should Kilian ever decide to discontinue Sweet Redemption..I'd be okay, for Tardes would take the helm as my parfum signature!

9/10

Goldfinch

I agree with wosic, the almond is more a roasted and bitter one here, in the hug of a big dose heliotrop and tonka. It's not so light-hearted as L'Instant Magique, more sharp and characteristic. To my nose it's closer to Roger&Gallet's Amande Persane Eau Fraiche, it could be its winter version. I feel some similarities with Trussardi Inside Woman, too, I think the heliotrop is the key. Somehow I find this one more on the unisex side (if Dior Homme is a masculin frag, this could be, too...). Sillage is great, so is the longevity. After the last time I wore this frag, my notebook had a Tardes-scented keyboard for about 2 weeks:). It was very pleasant.

wosic

Great silage, great duration. The aroma is all about almonds, tonka bean and heliotrope.
I can detect plum rather than rose.
The almond is not eatable but bitterly-sweet and aromatic.
The fragrance slightly reminds me of L'Instant Magic Guerlain but latest is not so strong and dense. Considering the "thickness" in both perfumes is like comparing velvet to veil.
Despite its monstrous silage Tardes is surprisingly smooth - more like almond-vanilla mousse rather than cashmere scarf. There is a certain depth and richness in the smoothness.

Silage - 9/10
Longevity - 9/10

mutmiu

Tardes is a very soft, creamy and somehow airy almond fragrance. It's sweet, but not cloying or choking. At the beginning I felt some rose (or maybe rosewood) in it, then the almond step forward, and took center place. It's a creamy, slightly vanillaish, silky smooth almond. Tardes is an enchanting fragrance.
