I Love New York for All by Bond No 9 is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women and men. I Love New York for All was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is IFF. Top notes are Pepper, Bergamot and Lily-of-the-Valley; middle notes are Marron glace, Cacao and Coffee; base notes are Vanille, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Leather and Woodsy Notes.

New York niche perfumery house Bond No. 9’s latest line of fragrance is dedicated to the city itself, inspired by its energy, pace, freedom and eternal vivacity. I Love New York is a collection of 15 fragrances that are created by IFF. The first three editions, I Love New York for Her, I Love New York for Him and I Love New York for All, come out on the market in September 2011, marking ten years since New York's September 11 tragedy.

"In a black bottle, I LOVE NEW YORK for All is velvety smooth yet sense-awakening—like a really good and fresh cup of java laden with cream. In fact, at the heart of this warmth-inducing gourmand’s delight is an infusion of coffee beans with soothing but slightly spicy cacao natural and tantalizing creamy chestnut. But those aren’t the first flavors you smell. At the outset, a gentle wake-up call: a citrus-floral-spice blend of bergamot, lily of the valley, and pepper. Top-notes usually aren’t as softspoken as these, but for sure your attention is riveted, and remains so as the coffee aroma begins percolating. The mellowness is sustained at the end with base notes of exotic, always-entrancing patchouli, animal leatherwood, hypnotic sandalwood, and, adding a rum-like kicker, vanilla."

All three fragrances are adorned with the legendary I <3 NY logo, available as 50 and 100 ml EDP.

If you were ever eating a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles for breakfast and thought it would be fun to smell like it too, then this is the perfume for you. I can only assume that other reviewers have never had any, or they surely would not have spent $250 or more to smell like a $5 kids cereal. I bought a sample of this because as a native New Yorker, I've always been curious about this brand and I must say, this fragrance is quite ridiculous lol. It's as if the folks over at Bond No 9 thought it would be a funny joke to make "Eau de Pebbles" and laugh every time someone actually buys a bottle. Honestly, if you haven't smelled it before, go buy a box of Cocoa Pebbles, open it up and take a whiff, then turn red when you realize you have been going around town to your fancy parties smelling like a cereal with Fred Flintstone on the box 🤣.

Tony_Liberty

My aunt and a friend really seemed to enjoy this. My aunt directly stated I smelled amazing. My friend got into my car that needs to be cleaned and said something to the effect of “what spray did you use in the car? It smells awesome in here”

GrenadeGirl

Well this was the bravest full bottle blind buy I've done in a long time. (With zero samples left in the UK, it was a straight up gamble based on notes and reviews).

So... thank you very much to @The Wolf, @EmpressVision (who i pretty much trust implicitly on Bond), and everyone else!!! 😊 Your recommendations are rock solid, and had I sampled I would have bought the thing anyway. Lol.

Personally, I just think this one is absolutely sensational!! To me, it is something REALLY different! It is not at all the traditional candy chocolate sweetie hug, it is not even particularly sweet, but it is 100% a gourmand!! I get a nutty, coffee, gourmet dark chocolate that just settles back into a pretty woody patchoulli base.

Less bitter than New Haarlem (which I do also love), although this is also very much a cold weather scent, I find it is little more daytime wear suitable because of it.. although no doubt it is in the same wheelhouse.

If you are a New Haarlem fan there is a good chance this'll work for you, and normally I'd say 'sample first' but in this case it'd make me a hypocrite 🤣 (Still sound advice if you do get the chance though)

zoharremax

I really liked the unique juice that reminds me of a sweet milk chocolate liqueur...
More suitable for cold weather...
Like a comforting candy that brings back childhood memories...

The Wolf

When you smell enough bond fragrances, you start to make connections from one scent to another. For example, Cooper Square was built on the base of Brooklyn. With this one, I can clearly tell that this is the foundation which they built New Bond Street (red bottle with leapord print) on. Initially I liked New Bond Street but it becomes a cloying chocolate overdose so I sold it.

With this, the chocolate is not overdosed and it's balanced better with wood, vanilla and leather. So this is a much better option in my opinion unless you want to wear a chocolate bomb. This smells more like baking chocolate along with the base notes. Also has a powdered dustiness to it. Not bad if you're looking for a chocolate gourmand that isn't super sweet and give a bit more nutty and "doughy" impression.

STRAIGHT FIRE!!! One of the best gourmands I have. This cacao ain't sweet because its tempered by the coffee. The marron glace is dead on as a chestnut note. This is GROWN FOLKS business. The spicy drydown is divine. It gives nothing but warm and cozy fee-fees. Comfort in a bottle. Perfect for fall and winter nights whether you stay in or go out.

Sonder_and_Dance

Ok so go with me on this... It's probably due to the marron glace as I've never encountered that in any other fragrance, but ILNYE gives me a strong vibe of the buttered popcorn jelly beans from Jelly Belly. A lot of people are not so into those but I was one of those weird kids that liked them. This reminds me of younger times. This was also the first niche fragrance I fell in love with well over a decade ago. Its a beautiful, unique gourmand.

Deelecto

You take a sip from your latte. Hm this new chestnut syrup may be a winner. But hold on, there’s something … maybe something that is throwing you off. Was the syrup starting to turn? You cautiously take another sip. Your nose enjoys the chestnut and coffee and cocoa but a foreign object brushes your lip. You look down and see the outline of something … reach gingerly into the hot liquid and pinch it, pull it out. Your mind and stomach tilt, desperate to get away from the inescapable fact dangling before your eyes - a flaccid condom streaked with foam and dripping hot liquid.

Whoever designed this has some deep-seated subconscious ambivalence toward New York. Must be a local.

netosan

I absolutely love this. I smelled it once in a Bond store then on a Sephora but never took the plunge. Now I got a new bottle from a friend for a very good price and i must say : why didn’t I buy it when it was on the stores? Perfect for winter and spring: the scent is simply dark chocolate with hints of vanilla and patchouli (the non smokey kind) and it envolverla you in an aura of warmth and just plain deliciousness! It is not that sweet , it is just delicious. Won’t give you a headache and people will tell you: what’s that fragrance you’re wearing? Thumbs up!!! Hopefully New Harleem is back soon as this one I want to use for special nights.

I am here to recant... my review below was just... wrong. I love this scent. Cacao2 compared to this is just a blast of trying too hard. I Love NY For All is muuuuch better. And I can add that I seriously got 24 hours of longevity from this one on my last wearing! I was amazed to wake up in the morning with it after wearing the prior day with no re-spraying, which is hard for me not to do... It does not project a lot but it is delectable in the best way. I will definitely be buying more. It is also more different from Black Opium than I first thought... and I think I like it better than that too. For me the leather, pepper and coffee save it from being too sweet.

strongerwithglue

There are some nice notes in here, some potential, but for me, it is ruined by an accord that smells like scalded milk. I'm reminded of all the times I tried to make hot chocolate and left the pot on too long, so it is a scent of failure from my perspective, and it's actually a bit nauseating. I imagine if I did not have this scent association, I'd enjoy the fragrance. Very sweet but dry scent.

LMBelvi

So pleasant and likeable. Unisex. Chocolate-centric and cozy. But not the best scent of its type in my experience.
I might sample again if I find it, but I will gravitate more toward Cacao2, which I just sampled and LOVE... also Mocha Muscari and old stand-by Black Opium.

Detman101

@hellebelle : I have this EXACT same issue with "Halloween Man X". That chalky, yeasty, flat scent that pops out above the cacao note...

hellebelle

This is about 90% similar to Rihanna’s Rebelle, but the longevity is much better. I have the same problem with this that I do with Rebelle- at first spray it’s kinda nice but as it dries there is a note that smells very malted, yeasty, like bread. Something about my chemistry must amp this note up, because while it is still noticeable on clothing, on my skin it’s really intense and all of the other notes are dwarfed by this giant yeast accord. Another reviewer mentioned chocolate zucchini bread, and I can see that. But to me it’s not particularly chocolatey, just very much like bread dough on steroids, with extra Brewer’s yeast. I don’t say this lightly, but the effect is absolutely revolting, like sugary Vegemite.

After a few hours it mellows down a tad and some soft spices come through. I get no chestnut or coffee though. Just a touch of cinnamon, and more bread.

Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure the offending note is the cacao accord because as I mentioned, it’s the same in this and Rebelle, and I also noticed it in Paco Rabanne’s Black XS for her. I think I Love NY for All is discontinued, so if you love it you might do well to check out Rebelle or Black XS!

I’ve had my eye on this for a long time and I really thought I would love it, because the notes listed are right up my alley. I have seen this compared to L’Artisan’s Noir Exquis which I adore, but this smells *nothing* like Noir Exquis to me. I’m glad I just got a sample.

HEATHEN PERFUMES

I Love New York for All by Bond No. 9 Parfum is a scent unlike any other - roasted chestnuts covered in the truest thick cream, sprinkled with vanilla, coconut shavings and white chocolate. The aroma is thick and flavorful. Perfect for warming up in the autumn cold and frosty days.

It opens with a blast of black pepper with something creamy and nutty. After a while it transforms into the scent of an over-sweetened, milk and rice dessert. From time to time, the musty, heavily buttery, even oily patchouli note breaks through. Addictive and intoxicatingly delicious, sweet and crisp. Works perfectly with body chemistry and is incredibly long lasting.

this delicous cologne reminds me of Paradiso coffee man by O Boticário. Both really damn good.

ceeceelee

I love Bond no 9 perfumes so I was a bit stunned when my skin chemistry pulled a faintly moldy vegetal underbrush out of the hat instead of the cozy, nutty, cocoa, sweet chestnut ~ coffee scent everyone else got. Ugh, I hate my skin sometimes. But I'm not giving up yet. I bought 5 carded samples and I'm gonna put them away for a few weeks and try again. I've loved some stinkers after just a few weeks. Fingers crossed!

elizurofsinai

This sounded like something I would absolutely love.. but I am very disappointed.
It smells so synthetic. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I know they have to use synthetic ingredients for some of these notes, I was not expecting natural ingredients. but it just does not smell like good quality to me. It smells incredibly fake, like a cheap candle or something.

I’m always at such a loss when there are glowing reviews for a scent and I just don’t smell what everyone else does. Maybe it’s just chemistry. Still very sad.

I did also get Chinatown and I love NY for holidays, and those do smell very nice and good quality. So something in this one just doesn’t agree with me.

Back on the hunt for a great coffee, cacao, sweet and spicy scent!

Nataliemarie

Gorgeous! Reminds me of Haarlem taking away that sharp masculine note I sometimes wish wasn't there. Another Bond Masterpiece. Discontinued?? Are they stupid?

Sandalwood__

When I want to feel comforted, I opt for this one. I feel like a baby wrapped in a blanket. It’s so sweet and cozy.

New York Love for All Bond No 9
At the exit comes a cocoa (70% dark chocolate) with coffee, also a spicy bottom.
I feel a slight touch of makeup in this perfume, with a smell of dust with a sweet smell. Cocoa also changes, becomes sweeter full bodied, this combination is dense, creamy, added to the deep notes gives the earthy aspect, smell of earth, dust. Although the note is not discreet, it has a resin background. It is more of a woody / sweet, due to how the notes blend and form the densest, fullest arrangements.

Atomikbomb_

This is a really fun thing to wear out with your signature person ;) Overall there is a playfully sexy undertone to this, but it's very, very FUN!

It's so warm and delectable, totally rich, smooth, dark and decadent. And absolute concoction of "adult" gourmands (not in a raunchy way, but in a dark/dry chocolate and coffee way, with real vanilla bean). It smells of artisanal chocolate shoppes and Italian roast beans, and real whipped heavy cream. Nutmeg isn't listed, but I get it. It embodies happy, warm environments and havens from the winter weather.

It has a distinct peppery opening, so I see how it could be a struggle, it's kind of like actual street hot dogs. I don't particularly mind it, but it is a bit challenging and I'm relieved when it settles down even though part of me enjoys it (I just don't want to smell like meat ROFL). After 20 mins it glides headlong into the heavy gourmand and woodsy tones...the sandalwood is powdery, dry and comforting. I get leather as well, but not enough to turn anything decidedly away from the richness of the foodie notes.

This is a good, GOOD patchouli too. I would avoid it unless you're prepared for a slightly dirty (but not dingy) patchouli. I don't know why the patch isn't voted in as being more dominant on the note pyramid. The next day after wearing this I'm left with soft tonka, patchouli and a bit of coffee. It's a good subtle "leftover" skin scent.

There is something so DRY about this. Warm, dry, *precisely* what I need. I feel it in Nirvana Black too...which is a welcome essence in the PNW rain. The bottle is black, but it smells like rich, warm brown and cream accents (hope that my synesthesia makes some semblance of sense). It's also truly unisex in my opinion, and it is a rare thing that smells nearly equally masculine and feminine, the notes are somewhat universally pleasing, while managing to remain totally unique.

*update
I've never smelled anything quite like this, and it's enough to give me crazy notions of hunting down a full size bottle (I have a sleeve of 25 testers, which is enough to last quite some time...but still). I keep returning to it, and it's a brilliant gourmand that stands alone as a unique and highly creative artwork. It's somehow still inoffensive despite all of that, and doesn't tread on many toes (unlike my beloved Angel). I've even learned to embrace the oily/peppery opening and lose myself in the challenges before the drydown. 🤎 I've got it bad for this one.

sacredsiren4mac

I absolutely love this fragrance and was hearbroken when I recently went to replace my now empty bottle and found it no longer in production. I'm from NYC and to me this smells like a walk through the city in the winter. The strongest note I get off this is that candied nut scent which you often get walking around the city from carts that sell them. Behind this is something green, almost pine resin-ish. On my skin something in here smells spicy, like cinnamon maybe, even though this isn't a note listed in the fragrance. It really is a mood for me, this is a fragrance I wear heavily all winter, especially around the holidays. I'm going to miss this very much, maybe they will bring it back.

FeelingRisky

Warm skin - sweet happy uplifting.
Very impressed by the performance.
This opens as a sweet, dry and dense fragrance.
It is very well blended to my nose (Which is, in my opinion, the sign of a great perfumier).
Long lasting, warm and sweet. Almost a "dull" sweet smell.
Great purchase!

cassandra5322

I love this perfume, it is perfect for those cold snowy or rainy days as it wraps you in the warm comfort of winter sweets. The perfume is fairly unisex but I'd say it leans feminine because the strongest notes are sweet gourmands. However, they're unisex gourmands and not floral so it can still be considered unisex.
The opening features a second of bergamot and immediately after that the main note of marron glace dominates. I've never smelled this note before but I can describe it as a waxy nutty warm sweetness like roasted glazed hazelnuts kind of. It is also softly spicy. The black pepper is well blended into the marron glace as if it were one note. Along with the vanilla and cocoa which radiates in the background. A slight bit of patchouli emerges one minute after. It is not too herbaceous or earthy, it just adds a bit of green sweetness to the mix. I'm not sure if I can smell the coffee because the other notes dominate so much more.
I like how during the dry down it smells pretty similar to one minute after I've sprayed it. It has the same warm nutty vanilla scent, only softer.
This is mostly a sweet nutty and warm scent which is suitable for everyone young and old.

Bbjr

I still have my bottle that I bought when this first came out and I’ve not sprayed it in years. Not that I don’t like it, but the nutmeg in this one can be cloying. It’s a unique gourmand for sure but an acquired taste.
Either way, I sprayed this on yesterday for the first time in years and this stuff is absolutely nuclear. The sillage is excellent and the longevity probably exceeds that of anything that I have. I sprayed it at 3:00 pm yesterday and here I am waking up to the polar vortex smelling I Love New York for All like I just sprayed it on. Still trying to like it.

severelain

A Sunday brunch scent. Casual, sweet and soft. The coffee-caramel gourmandic quality evokes strong associations with travel; the nervous indulgences of an airport gift shop; confectionery pitstops fueling day-long metropolitan tourist excursions of culture permeated with consumerism. Simultaneously excited and relaxed, it’s Bond’s most underrated and affordable offering. Not exceptional but undeniably fun to wear. Worthy of repurchase.

Dawnfiller

This delicious gourmand perfume captured my attention right away! I love it and bought 3 backup bottles! This is my nighttime scent!

On my extremely dry skin this perfume lasts almost all night (6-8 hours depending on how hot it is) and leaves a nice scent trail. It lasts for days on my pillow and sheets! I wish the coffee note was stronger but on me this perfume smells like hazelnuts, vanilla, caramel and pancakes with maple syrup. I love it and dread running out of it!

FragranceNet.com often sells samples. Normally I would recommend blind buying this perfume but after reading reviews I realize body chemistry matters affecting scents. I still cannot figure how people smell meat in this perfume that never happens on me.

over_caffeine

A really heavy, sugary brunch. Sausage dusted with black pepper, pancakes, maple syrup, bread, butter, brownies with nuts, coffee mixed in with chocolate syrup...and it lasts the whole day. Reminds me of many others in my collection--Montale Chocolate Greedy, Lush's I'm Home, Black Opium EDP...I Love NY for All is along the same lines of those perfumes but is never quite like them. This is heavily gourmand--savory and sweet at the same time. I haven't been to New York so I don't get how this reminds people of the City that Never Sleeps. I like it, just not sure if it's full bottle worthy.

Follow up:
Okay, so I was amazed with the sillage and longevity on me. To cut the long story short, I got a 100 ml bottle. It is still available at the Bond no 9 Counter in my country. Gourmands really are my weakness. ILNY4A reminds me of Christmas, of sweets, decadent desserts, "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" and drinking hot chocolate while it's snowing outside. It's great to be home for the Holidays.

sarito84

Smells like cookies too too sweet, discontinued but found cheap on notino uk.

JennMetts

I love this. I wish it weren't discontinued. To me it smells like warm roasted chestnuts (just like walking past the carts in NYC in the winter) with a hint of chocolate.

greyhoundmom

@mschnabel666, you know what, I gave it a chance.. lol! I sprayed some on my wrist and it's actually pretty good stuff!! Smells like warm Nutella with something slightly savory. I don't know if it's "me" but it's very intriguing. Damn this fickle hobby, haha. Hate a scent and then love it!

mschnabel666

Greyhoundmom, lol!! Don't judge by the nozzle. My nozzle smells like rancid unwashed balls.

Wearing it is key. But sometimes it smells like greasy sausages frying.

It really works in snot-freezing cold. I loved it. Cozy delicious hazelnut coffee and pancakes.

greyhoundmom

Oh... oh no.

My husband and I were perusing these at TJ Maxx and upon opening the box we were hit with the most foul stench.. we looked at each other in shock and horror.. my husband sniffed the atomizer and then dared me to, and ugh!!! My husband was right when he said.. "It smells like someone stuck this up their butt."

Is that why we found this fragrance at TJ Maxx at a huge discount?? Are they all like this? Good lord.

herculano

A really well done, rich and cozy bakery scent... with some coffee.

Pretty fun and... yummy.

I can imagine a mother or a father wearing this as their signature... for the rest of their lives...Just to delight their children.

I know that sounds possibly odd, but if my mother or father wore this as i was growing up... I imagine I would ALWAYS feel... extra safe and sound in their presence. It smells like HOME.

And I could imagine coming home after being away at college, hugging my mom, and smelling this perfume on her...and just feeling immediately happy to be home and loved and taken care of.

It smells like a happy lively home, something yummy ALWAYS cooking in the oven.

When I first tried this, I really didnt think I could EVER wear such a thing.

So much realistic BLACK PEPPER at first... It almost made me cough. And then it just felt super masculine. Not my thing, I thought.

But as it dries down it turns into bakery and coffee... and its MARVELLOUS.

The pepper is still there but it fades into the background nicely and gives the perfume a tiny, intriguing... KICK.

This one is NOT ONLY a sweet bakery gourmand... it has an underlying dark mysterious quality that makes it truly shine out as unique and certainly not "girly".

There is nothing juvenile about this.

Wonderful creation.

I want.

happy-knight

Very sugary- more chocolatey than coffee. I can compare this to maybe Cocoa Krispie oddly enough. Totally not my thing frankly

adrianlmp

this is nice

CristoCologne

like being in an upscale pastry shop and having a plate of sweet, sweet vanilla sugar cookies with some raspberry jam and cocoa powder on them... a cup of good coffee sits in the background. Delicious, but you don't want too much...

This is also beastly strong, one or two sprays is all you need. More than that, and you will give the people around you a sugar high. Lasts at least 6-8 hours.

this is for those who like A*men, other super strong gourmands. Reminds me of a power version of Axe Dark Temptation...

vallensvelvet

Does anyone know if Maurice Roucel is the perfumer for this? It smells so like both L de Lolita Lempicka, and Musc Ravageur to me.

Very sweet, very creamy, sensual gourmand. I'm surprised by the scent vs the bottle and name. I'm not sure what I expected: something fresher, brasher, and darker, maybe. But this is velvety smooth and verging on cloyingly sweet...but just stops short of being too much. I like it a lot.

shushkin

Interesting fragrance. Im puzzled by people likening this to Noir Exquis. There is a little common ground but thats it. The dry downs are very different. This is much sweeter and doesnt have the depth of NE. The ebony in NE is the big difference. It adds depth and an edge. This is much more of a gourmand than NE. Its a mocha creamy hot drink with a touch more chocolate and glace chestnuts than coffee. I think if you love Montale Intense Cafe then you will like this. Reasonable sillage and longevity.

shabbus

This has become one of my signature scents, it's made for New England winters, it's so cozy, and a great perfume for your sweater.
One problem - the bottle is VERY black glass, so it's impossible to tell how much is left in the bottle! I've tried holding it up to a light bulb, but still no luck. I think I may have to try the refrigerator trick, but I hesitate because I don't know if it will affect the perfume.
So If you hear a scream coming from my house, you'll know that I reached the end of the bottle with no warning.

ropb2982

This is truly disgusting

Coffee & Cacao Mix...

This is the first fragrance I've sampled from Bond No. 9. I must say I've been pleasantly surprised. This is a lovely gourmand scent that (to my nose) is a mix of cocoa powder and ground coffee beans, with hints of vanilla, leather, sandalwood & black pepper.

It opens up to my nose with a blast of bergamot and black pepper, but this lasts only for an instant. It then begins to develop into a cocoa powder base, with hints of vanilla, musk, sandalwood and leather. I can see the lily-of-the-valley complimenting the "powdery" feel in the mid and base but everything here is so well blended that it's hard to pick out individual notes as easily as you would with some other fragrances.

So, in conclusion... an incredibly well made fragrance and one which does give value for money. I say this because it lasts extremely well on skin and even longer on clothes. I even showered and it was still there! As for occasions, I think this would probably do well in cooler weather/cooler seasons. It's a great addition to your collection if you're someone looking for a well-made fragrance with a gourmand angle to it. Overall a very nice scent at a (compared to their other line up) a decent price fro the quality you get. I would recommend sampling first, unless you are a gourmand fragrance lover.

seekritdude

In all my years in fragrances, and still years after this has come out, this is perhaps the most strangest, yet best smelling fragrance I have ever smelled. Even years later I still can't figure out exactly what to relate this to. Its certainly a bizarre and abnormal mix.

Its a mix of many strange things, and some things that almost smell like they are about to be spoiled because it tingles your nose in a way that warns you almost not to eat something because there might be something wrong with it. And yet... it still smells really good.

Imagine you wake up for breakfast, you go to your coco puff cereal but youre at the end of the box... Almost like when you get to your cereal and theres no longer real pieces just crushed up pieces and powder of flavor left. The powdery sand tingles your nose in a way that its hard to tell if its spoiled or fresh. And theres the sparkle of sugar shining through this chocolate covered sand. But with these shining sugar sand specs, youre also getting almost a ... aspect of something else, a forgotten milk, some almost fruity, or citrus thing going on. And also in the background of this kitchen someone is cooking some warm indistinguishable sweetened sugary pastry fill with.. well.. again who knows what the fuck is going on here. And besides that we have some vanilla in the air from all this baking, and someone is making coffee with a very fake(although still smells good mind you)sorta coffee creamer flavor you see in stores.

Again its one of the strangest smells ive ever smelled in fragrances that somehow still smells really good to me. Its unnatural enough that it almost makes me hesitant to wear. However when I have admittedly ive never received a bad comment and have had some people tell me they like it quite a bit. Although all ive asked after the fact as well could not even begin to tell me what it was I was even wearing. About the most negative comments ive ever gotten on it are basically what you might expect from a gourmand fragrance. "you smell good, but its not a cologne kinda smell" if you get the idea. And others just said I smell like sugar. Whatever the case again admittedly its never been something ive had a lot of, and it smells kinda out there to me still which makes me hesitate a bit...

Performance is good and leaves a noticeable scent trail/bubble for a good while.

Worth trying out I think just for the fact of it smelling good, and the strangeness of it also gives it some novelty value as well. Even with the compliments ive gotten however id say its wearability could potentially be suspect. And perhaps is the reason why its apparently discontinued now from what I hear? A real shame really. One of the few bonds I actually like.

Intense "Cocoa-Butter"

This lasts a looooong time.

Quality right there.

Although the Bond No.9 house produces too many scents, in the same trend as Montale and their catalog, they have something to offer to everyone. I admit, I find most bonds underwhelming, but when I do find one I enjoy, I'm usually floored. This is one that completely blew my mind! For being a gourmand, it's incredibly complex and multifaceted. Generally, gourmands tend to be linear and even though they're usually pleasing, they can get boring with frequent use.

Perfectly unisex, I Love NY for All is one that changes the more you wear it. Some days I get sugar cookies; others I get caramel/chocolate covered popcorn. Sometimes I get more coffee than cocoa and vice versa. It remains a chameleon, but always within the context of a gourmand. Whatever the case, each time I wear it, I'm instantly transported to a carnival or boardwalk.

Longevity is superb as well and can last well above 24 hours. I try not to apply more than three sprays and even then it can become too cloying. Unfortunately, its success in quality is also its downfall. For one, it's difficult to wear in warmer weather or even as an everyday scent. In addition, it's one that is too heady and can turn someone off if it's not used with caution. Overall, however, it's definitely recommended for those with a sweet tooth.

Wow, when I first spray it on, it's very green and tingly with patchouli! Soon, it calms down into this pretty, warm cacao and vanilla with a smooth suede and subtle smoke tone. It is indeed friendly and cuddly without being juvenile.

mschnabel666

I've had this 1.7oz for a few years now, and already left my review... but I revisited this one over the weekend.

I do agree it's like New Haarlem minus the lavender, and a little less PANCAKES/SYRUP. I think I like ALL better than NH now. Which wasn't the case before.

I wore this on a very nasty Upper Michigan winter day. It's freezing outside, and I've done nothing but shovel snow. So I'm revisiting my thick gourmie scents.
And this was pretty fun to wear.
The milky/creamy notes are still there... which can sometimes come off as "spoiled" milk, but at least the greasy meat wasn't there.
I think I like-love this now! And maybe I'll pick up another bottle before it disappears.

perfumeproblem777

This stuff is great! It starts off really strong and has an off-putting note that smells sour to me. At first I thought it was the chestnuts but looking at the notes I think it's the leather that's listed, it's kind of sour like leather notes turn on me. But it eventually goes away and I'm left with this soft, sweet, deep chocolate /coffee/vanilla deliciousness. Doesn't project much after a few hours but it has stayed on the back of my hand for over 8 hours now, even through some hand washing. Lovely stuff.

halesgordo

I found the body silk and the body wash today at TJMaxx and I snapped it up. I really like the deep. rich. chocolate, coffee, patchouli wintery vibe. It does lean a teensy bit masculine, but anyone can wear it. It is kind of like New Haarlem without the lavender blast. A true gourmand. Yum!

cookiedoughmonster

The initial spray of this was so deceptive! It was a very strong, very dirty patchouli, with an overwhelming abundance of pepper straight from my husband's pepper grinder. I instantly thought, Scrubber! and chucked it into the trash can without a second thought.

Thankfully, I got sidetracked by my toddler before I was able to go scrub it off. Within 10 minutes it had undergone a complete personality change, transforming into a delectable, warm, rich gourmand. I have never had a marron glace, but one of my favorite teas is a chestnut flavored black tea. I load it up with a spoonful of caramel and lots and lots of cream. Yum! For All smells a lot like that tea tastes (which is by Adagio for any curious tea-lovers who might read this). Definitely on my wishlist now.

Oh, and I of course rescued the sample vial from the trash can.

littlemissferret

Smells like a slightly darker Chocolate Greedy by Montale on me. Same harsh, chocolatey sweetness! I won't be getting a bottle, but if you like CG you're probably gonna like this just as much, if not more.

OCNBreeze7

I Love New York for All is a beautiful gourmand... This is visiting your favorite coffee house on a chilly Sunday October morning where the coffee, chocolate, and vanilla greet you at the door like an old friend with a calming presence...

Performance is first rate, lasting all day on me with modest application and until the next day on clothing and in hair. Projection is beyond arm's length, but in a good way, luring passerbys to ask, "you smell really great, what fragrance are you wearing?" The most bizarre thing about this fragrance is the dry down - the longer you wear it, the better it gets..!!

This Bond No. 9 is totally unisex and will most situations in fall and winter wear. I will add though, this may be a little "loud" for office or close quarter wear.

I Love New York for All rocks..!! My final tally is 4.5 stars out of 5. It comes with a solid love for the fragrance community and strong recommendation to add to any collection, especially if you like gourmands..

Enjoy your day and happy fragrance hunting..!!!

This scent really grew on me. I initially thought it was too "patchouli-y" or maybe it was just that I got a hippy vibe from it. But I ended up adoring it an wear it often.

groovysilversurfer

This grew on me and I am now a big fan of it. I would classify this as a woody oriental because I actually get a lot of creamy sandalwood (ala Santal 33 but toned down of course). I didnt know what that note was at first but it finally clicked. For me this note is there prominently from beginning to end and is quite tenacious.

Scentmad

OK this is my second review of this perfume. My first was a little harsh. I had worn it once and decided the savoury note was not for me. Fast forward to now and I have actually fallen for this perfume big time. It's dreamy. Sweet/savoury, creamy, chocolatey, coffee notes with a lovely spicy undertone. Is this the best gourmand? On me, no, but it's near the top of the list. I disregarded it before I gave it a chance and now I think I understand it a lot more I get it. I think it's supposed to be challenging because it's different. This is pretty damned good stuff if you can get over the meaty note.

groovysilversurfer

Anybody else think that 'weird' note is geranium...or clary sage?

scentdoctor

smells like an east indian dessert, really strong and heavy. makes me feel really warm and it lasts forvever.

ywilson77

In very simple, basic terms it smells like a lovely pancake breakfast with hot chocolate on the side.

Happyme2009

Outstanding . Different. Unusual. Delicious. Gourmand. Unique. Bizzare. Everything a head turning perfume should be this is. Good silage and longevity. I've had this for a couple of years and worn it regularly during the cold months... There is a warming capacity here that comes without much spice.... It is the scent of a hot oven, roasted chestnuts and warm coffee with Kahlua...with good dose of woodsy notes and why not , some descrete patch. Nowhere in here I find meat, sausage, and the other repugnant things other reviewers smelled. It is unisex but I am a woman and this never failed collecting compliments. Still, it could work for a man too, but be warned, it is sweet. It hasn't been copied yet ! Masterpiece, despite the rather strange combination of notes .

Maymouna

Totally agree with mschnabel666, except that I can't stand this. I don't know whether it's the overdose of cacao that gives that awful meaty, greasy, stale smell. It smells like someone tried to spray some strong musky scent to mask the odour. I blind bought this because I was looking for a coffee, creamy, vanilla scent, and got this at a discount, regrettably. If anybody is interested in doing a swap for this, please let me know! I've only sprayed it once - I shouldn't have, I should have believed my nose when I smelt the dispenser of the bottle.

- Wacky gourmand -

Reading reviews of this fragrance sure is hilarious but they're all very accurate. First I want to point out the A*men + Jeaux de peau comparison - so true! It's like Angel men with the tar subsituted with the bread-y milky note from JDP. Secondly I got to talk about the sausage... I doesn't directly smell exactly like sausage but the vibe sure is strong - the milkiness is easily confused as greasy because with the roasted coffee it conjures a rather grilled sausage skin feel if you get what im going after. For this reason to me it's definitely more greasy sausage than fresh beef if described as "meaty".

After all, it's really not that bad as one might think. Actually New York for all is pretty inoffensive and quite delicious - especially the opening is very pleasant with unique milky chocolate aroma. Kind of reminded me of a carnival where they sell popcorn and chocolate in the same stand. Salty buttery caramelish milk chocolate is the best I can describe this.

Funny, quirky and delicious but unfortunately somewhat unwearable. I like to think of this as the signature of Willy Wonka!

A warm coffee fragrance to start your day in NYC or anywhere you live. This scent has a beautiful gourmand touch of chocolate (cacao) and marron glace which evoke hot chocolate. It totally smells like the scent of hot chocolate. As such it brings a feeling of morning ritual to my mind. I'm at my townhouse in my smaller kitchen where I like to read the newspaper and or use my laptop before I head out for work. Of the top notes the pepper stands out, of the heart notes the chocolate. The base notes are the strongest of all and they last the longest. This fragrance is on me all day because the supporting base notes are so strong. This smells of woods, leather and patchouli, well done beautiful patchouli. I would say that this is more on the masculine side than even feminine or unisex but I know many women including myself that enjoy fragrances like this because it's definitely a gourmand scent. If it wasn't for that hot chocolate scent I like so much it would wear like men's cologne with typical notes of patchouli and leather. This is really inviting warm and delicious strong and aromatic. I don't see how it evokes New York City but none of the fragrances from this line purporting to evoke New York City smells anything like the New York City I've lived in since birth. But they are beautiful fragrances each with notes that are all over the place as far as scents go: floral scents of roses, aromatic scents of patchouli, gourmand scents of coffee, fruits, citrus, amber sandalwood, so many different ingredients in perfume that I love. I don't see it as tribute to New York but more a study in fragrance and how they can affect your moods and how they recreate a memory that you had while living in New York. They never fail to impress me. I have many of their fragrances my favorite is Gramercy Park but I also really love Manhattan. I'm so so happy to be alive and I have a nose and sense of smell.

darksome

I understand now what's the problem to many people wearing this scent.. it's something that many describe as a chocolate sausage combo. To me it smells somehow apothecary.. like a herb - chamomille and tarragon?, mixed with a coffe chocolate base. It's also quite peppery (like most meaty products..)
Someting in that way.. Because of the herbs and pepper people get confused and then NYfA gives them the impression to smell meaty..

A SA at Saks5thAve gave me a sample of
as an incentive for buying at a time when
there were nO perks (GwP nor sets), and
after a year I finally tried it (to sleep of
course, not out in public) expecting to
hate this and pass it off as. Well! She
is not sO easily dismissed! I can't say
that this is something I'd ever want to
smell like, but I will say that it is delic,
and addictive. When I smell it I smell
PLEASANT. Wish I could eat whatever
this is. Not a good perfume for when
you're trying to curb your appetite lol.
Maybe good for triggering appetite i.e.
anorexics, bulimics (just trying of ways
that food perfumes could be put to good
use, since wearing them is definitely not
one of the ways IMO!). Maybe as a nice
kitchen smell or spray the kitchen with
this at breakfast-time or...? I'd bet a
candle of this'd be amazing. Unless
it gets better with body chemistry, in
which case it's tough to decide what
to do/when to wear. I'm puzzled, so
I have just succeeded in passing this
off :), as puzzling. Not what I want in
a perfume. Just because she was not
sO easily dismissed doesn't make her
an indispensable must-have. ...Peace...

miss_piggy

I like the pepper in this, and the cacao. However, what stood out the most was maybe the nutty bit..? It wasn't a smell that I could ever like, but also not among the worst smells I've ever known. At first I thought it resembled buttery urine, but later I realized that it was identical to the smell of overnight cleavage sweat. Probably best to use a tester or sample first; contrary to the implication in the name, this won't work on everyone.

m10m10

First of, bottle and packaging really disappointed me. Flimsy acylic cap, doesnt have the satisfactory click you would wanna get...

Be warned, try not smell the cap/nozzle, you will get something weird!

Strong choco and coffee, not sure why sometimes the bergamot creeps out abit in the beginning. Shortly after vanilla starts joining. Unique and interesting fragrance for sure! Smells reminds me of chocolate with sweet condensed milk.I see a few of us get that sausage/meaty smell, i get where those are coming from. Theres a vibe of it, but not totally meaty imo LOL.DO not be turned off by this claim!

A sweet yummy gourmand by Bond no.9, a winner for me! Got it for a good deal, definitely keeping this!

Milky chocolate over yeasty, bread-y cake smells along with barely there, earthy, gritty coffee. Tons of nuttiness in the opening. An awesome gourmand and my favorite chocolate so far. Still present on my hand after 12 hours. Projected slightly outside arms length for 4. Outstanding complexity for a gourmand and amazing performance to boot.

Word Picture: Taking a blow torch to a bowl of cocoa puffs, toasting the cereal while slightly scalding the milk, then tossing in gritty coffee grounds.

Wow Factor: The opening is jarring, almost a bit scary, then 5 minutes in this scent just envelopes you.

Rating from Poor to Outstanding: Outstanding, *****

mschnabel666

These reviews ARE hilarious, and... they are all totally true.

There are parts of I <3 NY for ALL that are totally amazing gourmand nutty cappuccino, chocolate pancakes, syrup... a very very thick vanilla syrup sweetness.
(I should love this right?)
Except...
There IS a funky, stale, rotten smell! And it is greasy and meaty! (From the bottle, smelling the nozzle- it smells like dirty private parts... for real! You know how Tom Ford said he wanted Black Orchid to smell like a man's privates? Well, this does! Old, unwashed privates...)

I also find the rose/milk in Diesel Tattoo smells rotten, like spoiled milk or baby puke.... This ALL is a similar rotten smell.

This is a thick sticky perfume, but moderate sillage and potency. Nothing bomb-like. It stayed very linear on my clothes and arm, my skin lasting just about 2-3 hours.
That sour/stale/rotten smell lasted the whole time.

This does legit smell like breakfast. Coffee (which is minimal- I wish it were stronger because I love Black Opium and Pink Sugar Sparks), greasy sausage, syrup, pancakes...

Do I hate it? No. I also don't hate Tattoo. It grew on me. I hope this grows on me too. The good news is- I don't need any more ALL- this will be fine. I love New York for HER is AMAZING and I can't get enough of it.

This is a bummer because I live in 8 months of cold/winter and would love a chestnut/hazelnut vanilla coffee gourmand! I haven't given up tho, my area of upper Michigan can get to -20F in the winter!

Days later, the shirt I wore this with still smells! Except it's still funky and buttery. Haha.

Ahhh.... New Haarlem is much better!

sladkij_chai

Absolutely love this fragrance. I feel like I am sipping on an expresso and eating a creme brulee. Yes the opening has a bite to it and to me the pepper smells more like cinnamon here, but I literally want to dive into this desert. I don't find it too sweet or overpowering. Sandalwood keeps it deliciously creamy and tamed if you will. Can not believe it took me so long to find this beauty. Will be trying more of Bonds in the near future ;)

bigbz

I find many/majority of gourmands to be pretty unisex, however this one bucks that trend and leans a bit towards the masculine side IMO.

Mainly because of a fairly strong "roasted" nutty accord in here that lasts the entire fragrance life span on me. I find it fits well here in the frag and gives a unique and complex twist that many gourmands are lacking. Choco Musk for example.....great smelling and long lasting scent, but very simple composition. Not always a bad thing, but sometimes you want something a little more unique and complex and this delivers on that.

I read some people are turned off by a note in this...something that comes across to them as meaty/sausage/fatty smell. Well thankfully, I don't pick that up at all personally!lol

And like most Bond's, it's longevity and projection are a force to be reckoned with. So....if your a gourmand lover, I don't see why you wouldn't want to give this a try. Especially for the price it can be found for now.

40plus&fab

My skin loves vanilla. This is a nice oriental vanilla. The cocoa and coffee notes are soft and add a nice gourmand touch to an other wise fairly common but grown up vanilla. The LOTV provide a sweetly floral backdrop. So there are a few things going on that intermingle very nicely but nice is about it. Not a like or dislike so it doesn't get a vote. Unfortunately on my skin, this is not special enough to warrant the price tag . . . or any price tag to be honest.

landshark321

I Love NY For All is a gourmand's gourmand, dominated by its heart notes of cocoa and coffee, their mixture reminding me mainly of a bakery or donut shop, both with respect to the baked goods themselves as well as the general smell of the shops.

The bergamot makes more a more acerbic opening, with the patchouli and leather elements becoming a little more evident in the dry down, though still subservient to the cocoa and coffee, which are the mainstays of the fragrance from start to finish.

As EDPs go, projection is average and longevity is above average. FragranceNet renders it very affordable, relative to most Bonds.

One potential criticism is that due to the dense sweetness, ILNYFA might be likened to an "old lady perfume" but on my skin, I smell more of the bakery sweetness, so it really demands a try, especially given how polarizing it seems to be within the community.

Those keen on sweet gourmands will likely love it, and others will take more convincing, but I'd recommend at least testing it out. It's among my favorites in the Bond No. 9 line.

Scentmad

I wore this yesterday, I love gourmand fragrances and so I was rather looking forward to what I thought would be an Angel mini-me. Well it started out well and it was really creamy, sweet, vanilla and chocolate. Yummy. And then, a really odd savoury note crept in and killed off the lovely sweet edible notes. By odd I mean unpleasant. Several hours in and all I could smell was sausage-meat porridge that also managed to possess a sweaty, fatty, greasy aroma.

This is my first Bond No. 9 perfume and I blame myself for doing a blind buy. I would say, as long as it's not actually on my skin it's OK. I think a spritz on a scarf would offer the gourmand experience without the soup kitchen/tramps' jacket notes - that's what springs to mind when it's on my skin anyway. Disappointing.

jdusk

I'm pretty meh about this. Starts out vanilla and a little sandalwood, but it turns into spicy vanilla rice pudding, dusted with a bit of cocoa powder, and with noticeable pepper and leather. A bit on the sour or acidic side, maybe from the coffee. The sillage is a pretty nice vanilla and cocoa with a bit of a woody and leather base, and it's sweeter and creamier from afar, without the sour quality. If you want to smell like spiced rice pudding and cocoa, this is for you.

Erok32

If you're a gourmand lover you'll love this one. It's very vanillic, heavy, and sweet. The smell is reminiscent of a chocolate cereal. I absolutely love the scent, but is simply not masculine enough for me to feel comfortable wearing in public. However, I must admit that I would sniff myself constantly upon spraying. I eventually sold it because it just wasn't practical for me.

lyciumchld

I wouldn't say that I <3 NY All is terribly holiday-ish, but there is something so wonderfully familiar and comforting about it, that it does call to mind a cozy family gathering. For me, it is perhaps an intimate breakfast, or a fireside tipple while reading the paper or a good book, as others in the room chat quietly while the children play a board game. Or, perhaps a leisurely walk past a sidewalk vendor on an overcast afternoon in the fall, or a warm cinnamon bun served with a hot mocha as one's housemate sits nearby, polishing his or her new leather boots. It wasn't my favorite at first sniff, but I <3 NY All has ascended the ranks to reside among my most loved scents. There are many that I love for their elegance, or their mystery; I <3 NY All is one I love for its unique gourmand comfort. It feels like coming home to a warm blanket and a hot drink, or a hug from an old friend. There are few scents that have such an effect on me, and for that reason I treasure my bottle.

Silage is good, a spritz on the back of the neck and perhaps to the inner elbows under long sleeves will do nicely on a temperate day, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend this for office wear.

It is a "Must Try", and for me personally, a "Must Never Run Out".

Tardigrada

At least one they nailed nicely. If you are into balanced gourmands and are a sucker for Montale Chocolate greedy or Aomassai by PG, you might love it. Yum-yum without a teeny-bopper vibe. tart, yet somewhat powdery, with a right amount weirdness added. Yet on skin I also get this sausage vibe everyone describes, yet it does not bother me at all, but still, nothing extraordinary. Meh.

StopHammertime

You just sat down to a breakfast of sausage with maple syrup and black coffee. That is the opening of this perfume. The dry down becomes patchouli, cologne, and some kind of syrupy meat.

My first impression at Sephora was so good I almost bought it at first spray. On paper this smells like maple syrup and milk chocolate with some sweet spice like cinnamon. On the skin a strange meat smell comes out. Interesting but I won't buy a bottle.

Reminds me of Jeux de Peau by Serge Lutens, just how it smells like a full on savory breakfast. Another one I find to be an interesting concept but I would not wear.

Syzygy73

Sweet, bland, it smells of biscuits and milk, but not real biscuits and milk. Why anyone would want to smell like this is beyond me. Bond No. 9 offerings are far too synthetic (with the exception of the wonderful New Haarlem) and this continues the trend.

Deppaholic

Well, I had to LMAO.....some say it smells like piss, boiling rice or chocolate sausage. Hey, what's wrong with that! Mostly I read cocoa and gourmand with coffee. I think I will have to try this one, search the bay. I like boiling rice and have you ever tried chocolate covered bacon, well I thought gross on that too, until I tried it! I guess it all boils down to chemistry, but boy the reviews here are funny. I was looking through my "want" list to find the dead ringer for the old Tabu, and thought this one might be it. WRONG. But I now have to find me a bottle of this too! Happy sniffing :)

MegaMav

To me, this one smells most like an Atomic Fireball Candy. Notes are blended together, and I cant pick out much coffee.

Layzie

Yum, this is nice.

I Love NY for All begins with a cocoa, coffee, and floral feel. It reminds me of a bakery for sweets or stepping into a coffee shop in the early morning. As it wears for a bit longer, it exudes a chocolatey, cocoa cereal vibe that engrosses the gourmand-lover in me.

I once caught an unknown girl walking around Barnes & Noble wearing I Love NY for All. She claimed to have been wearing only two sprays, but her soft saccharine cloud had a 4-5 foot radius. I considered following her clandestinely just to sniff until I recognized my creepy foolishness.

This perfume is sweet, straightforward, and delicious in the colder months. I find it irresistible when my girlfriend wears it and comforting on me. It's great for dates, good for work, and enjoyable at home. Thanks to Brie for sending the sample!

Museumgal

This scent starts off with a mix of nutty coffee and fairly medicinal, warm patchouli. As it dries down the nutty coffee and spices come in with the vanilla, like some sort of delectable coffee cake. It stays like this a long time, and eventually in the dry down the nutty scent and the patchouli seems to dominant, although by now the patchouli is a warm, woody accord. Has a sweet/bitter mix like strong coffee, but by the middle of the scent the sweet is dominant. But mostly it is a nutty/woody scent, distinctive and unusual in just how long that nut note holds on in the composition. It's there all the way through and dominates the scent. Great if you're looking for a different sort of gourmand scent that doesn't smell like candy but still has a foody quality. Warm, delicious, inviting -- lasts amazingly well too. As sweet scents are very popular right now it's hard to find one that stands apart -- but this one fits the bill, still managing to be unique and stand out.

soyeon.lee.125

why can I smell only black pepper on this? And in addition to leather accord it just smell like SPAM or bacon something....;(

JaiTee

Love the way this opens because it is so mouthwatering! The spicey chocolatey opening lasts only minutes (it's my favorite part) and then becomes a creamy sweet, herbal scent.
The drydown is very gourmand. It's yummy and I love smelling it.

Longevity is several hours, and sillage is definitely good with just one spritz.

Overall, I Love NY for All makes you smell like dessert. But I can't justify the price, since this isn't very unique on my skin.

Iris_it

I say immedeately that I am not drawn by gourmands in general but this composition smells so weird to my nose that if I had smelled it for the very first time with eyes closed , I could have never thought of it as coming from an ( expensive ) perfume bottle .
Maybe I am too accustomed to perfumes of the past decades ...

Silkpuppet

For years I sought a fragrance that accurately captured the signature NY scent of roasted chestnuts, hot from the stand. While I Love NY for All is billed as a coffee fragrance, it is much more on the dessert side. It opens with smooth floral notes, a bit of chocolate, and sugared chestnut, then settles into more of a spicy sandalwood with a whisper of vanilla. Plenty of patchouli comes out to play on the drydown but it never overwhelms the sweet candied notes. I adore this scent in the cold weather as it is extremely cozy. For the price, I've always wanted prettier packaging from Bond No. 9. All in all, this member of the I Love NY fragrance family is a must-try for lovers of gourmand perfumes. Delectable.

2746cstreet

I'm not a gourmand person and that's probably why New York for All nearly seared my eyeballs off and made me think: SIZZURP!

As much as I love the scent of roasted chestnuts I've come to realize marron glace is NOT roasted chestnuts. It's SUGAR and maybe a hint of chestnuts. Dump in a Starbucks Mocha and some vanilla extract and you've got New York for All.

Oh and some patchouli to you know, balance it out or whatever.

Jamspan

I've been looking for a sweet cocoa scent for about a year now. I have a decant of LIDGE but the citrus+Cocoa wasn't doing it for me. Next, I fell in love with Nasomatto Pardon which is drier and not as sweet but is a good formal scent.

ILNYFA is the cocoa scent I've been looking for.Nice Sweet Milk chocolate and chestnut(smells like hazelnut)and has good longevity. This is my first FB from Bond as I like it better than New Haarlem as my go to gourmand.

lalelu

the opening smells like piss but after about 15 minutes it settles and you get fresh cookie dough scent.

NINaudio

This is a beautiful gourmand fragrance. On me I get cacao throughout, but not an overly sweet cacao. I kept smelling it and thinking of cacao powder used in baking. I don't smell any coffee notes. My SO said it smells yummy and delicious on me. She was a big fan of it as well.

Bigsly

I used a tiny amount because I didn't want it to become cloying. With this application, what I got was a very smooth and mellow gourmand that lasted a long time. It was clearly vanillic but the other notes were not easy to detect, other than a clear but mild (and blended) floral element. When I caught a heavy waft I have to admit that it smelled very good, not "synthetic" at all (my great fear with Bond/9 scents). There may indeed be a very mild rum note in there, but with a half spritz to the chest don't expect to experience it with a lot of force. Overall, the only complaint might be the price, considering that I think I'd rather wear Pure Havane if given a choice between the two, and that one is less expensive.

pilarrl

After reading so many great reviews, I went to the Bond No.9 counter and I asked for a sample to try it. I tried it and much to my dismay it smelled milky on me, very unfortunate. I wanted to scrub it off.

On my mom this smells fantastic: sweet, milk chocolatey, with great sillage and longevity.

evilspin

I love this fragrance. Perfect for Autumn & Winter. Evening/Night Holiday parties. Cold winter romantic nights in flannel and wool sweaters. Cocoa, vanilla, tonka bean, mocha, praline, coffee, whip cream caramel buttery scent with a hint of medicine & butterscotch scents. Not for everyone but such an unusual scent that these are the ones that get noticed. So many gourmand hints inside that it keeps the smeller guessing which gourmand sweet does this recall all a while enticing to taste of a morning sweet cup of coffee on a winter beautiful day/night by the fire.

kirtylou

Got a sample of this and was pretty excited to try it... gourmand lovers will really enjoy this! It reminds me a bit of Aquolina's Gold Sugar and Pink Sugar Sparks, but higher quality. I can tell this is high quality because my cat tries to lick it off me... my cats ONLY try to lick my expensive perfume and won't touch the cheap stuff. Weird, I know ;).

Anyway, while this scent is not quite for me (a little too rich and decadent, it sort of smothers me with heavy creaminess in a distracting manner), it is nice and I can see people really enjoying it.

bronwen80

I have yet to meet an I Love NY perfume that I do not like and this is no exception!! A true gourmand with note of milk, coffee, sugar and caramel. Yet another master piece from Bond No. 9!! Any one that craves sweet foody notes will love this unconditionally!!

lyciumchld

VERY buttery, sweet, smokey, powdery. It's kind of weird, to be honest. But I'm not sure that's a bad thing, as I can't seem to stop sniffing my wrist to see what the scent is doing. The dry-down is phenomenal; however, it takes about 2 hours to get there. Until then, the salt and fat are quite present and make I Love New York For All smell kind of like a savory pie. It's almost meaty, in a way. I'm still exploring the scent, for now, in sample form. Further forays into "New York" are needed before I decide if I'd like to live there, but while I'm not in love, I am very, very intrigued.

Mikprittie

I first tested this fragrance at a sephora store in florida. It was love at first sniff. I didn't get any straight up coffee, maybe Mocha if i will go by the notes but what i am really getting is a spilled sweet milk with some cocoa/mocha mixed in it. its very very sweet milk and nutty dark chocolate cookies. I am very pleased to finally get a bottle split, i have about 30ml left in the bottle but I know its not going to last long. Although it does stay on clothing and hair up til the next day its longevity on skin seems to be around 3-4hr. the silage is great for the first 3hr then very close to skin or rather clothes since it just seems to disappear on my skin.

almarie

I finally tested this, since we just got a Von Maur in our mall. (They only have 4 Bond No.9 fragrances) But, I have to say that I'm really not that impressed. It smells, IMO, so similar to another fragrance I can't quite put my finger on, but is much less expensive, and it just doesn't seem that great.

My first try with this house.

I really really wish I was getting coffee, vanilla or any spices. Unfortunately what I'm getting on my skin at the moment is medicine. Specifically the oral antibiotics I was given as a child to clear up my ear infections. This would be back before they flavored children's meds, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and we listened to vinyl albums. Anyways...I'll keep it on in hopes that those lovely scents will appear soon. If not, maybe it'll work on one of my kids. They've been loving trying new frags too.

Edited: Sadly it's a scrubber for me because the medicine smell is all I get. Even my husband said it, although he called it "licorice cough drops." But sillage and longevity are excellent so IMO its a very well made fragrance. Just doesn't agree with my chemistry.

ChypreAnn

I'm so glad Robynlovesperfume agrees on this point: I Love New York for All does smell great, but I can't deny its similarity to Rihanna Rebelle. The coffee, cacao, and patchouli in both fragrances give them significant overlap. I once had a mini of Rebelle, and I tried out a sample of ILNYFA yesterday. They are both gorgeous, sweet, and sophisticated, but if I were going to go for a full bottle, I couldn't justify paying for Bond when these two smell so much alike on me.

freddinos

Buttery gourmand. Very reminiscent of Ava Luxe Milk, only this is sweetened and full fat. Didn't get the coffee, just a bit of cacao. Good lasting power.

meugie

I only have a decant, but the bottle is in wishilist.
Totally gourmand since the opening: coffee, chocolate and vanilla, slightly spicy. There's something of almond that I credit the marrons glacés. It's like to be in Starbucks’s line, waiting your first coffee of the day.
When I smell directly from the bottle, can get the bergamot. But when applying on skin this note soon dissipates.
The drydown is caramel coffee (caramel macchiato), sustained by the patchoulli and leather.
Better than I expected; However, it doesn't last long – about 4:00 to 5:00 hours.
The opening has a strong projection, but after few minutes it calms down and only will be perceived by whom approaches.

LJernegan

For some reason, I smell nuts in this one. I like the rest of the notes, but I don't think I want to smell like nuts. Maybe it is just my skin.

kaduell

It was love at first smell! There have been many perfumes that use vanilla as either a middle or base note, and never getting it quite right. It can be overpowering due to fruity notes mixed with it, or it tries to make vanilla seem like the only extreme note you are smelling. It can be overwhelming. This perfume creates a perfect combination with other woody and oriental notes (along with coffee) that complement each other, vanilla being a base, without giving me a headache or stomachache. It seems to work with my body chemistry very well and I will plan to use this perfume when I want to smell sweet and sexy.

Susan_b

I was told that I smelled like sugar and raid. Needless to say it went back immediately!!!!!

Linden

From my first whiff, I was immediately taken back to my days serving at a golf club restaurant; where every busy Sunday we had a lunch buffet. This is the scent of Belgian waffles cooking; the butter spray, even a hint of hot teflon-perhaps my perception of the leather accord here. Chocolate sauce, cocoa, icing sugar and coffee, the entire sweet table, literally, perfectly captured in a bottle. As pleasant as this may sound to some, all of us servers would smell like this at the end of the long hectic day. Unfortunately, the association is just too strong for me to enjoy this Bond, but it's a great gourmand composition nonetheless.

piergeorgia.francesca

To me it smells like boiling rice. What a disappointment.

Norgirl

This perfume is such a treat . Initialy i was a bit hesitent to get this do to the Coffey note . But this is pure bliss ;) Sweet , coffy toffey and what smells like Cardamom . This smells almost like a Cinnamon Bun With Coffey at the side. Just take away a litle cinnamon add some more Vanilla and cardamom and you hav ethis wonderfull cosy smell ;)
Thi to me is a gourmand scent for hure . I would say its much more feminin then masculin. (Offcourse this is only on my skin . it might smell totaly different on others )
The Vanilla dominates more towards the end . but still the slight spicyness of Coffey and cardamom lingers. there is a slight woodyness . butnot to much . this other notes listed are not prominant to me on my skin.
A lovely treat of a Blind buy. <3

Germany

Excellent perfume! Stays for a long time and gets better and better. Warm and fuzzy. Awesome for colder days but I enjoy this anytime. It's a coffee latte chocolate maroon scent and has a great woody vanilla dry down. Absolute love for me. I am thinking its becoming slowly one of my favourites and may be moving to my top shelf!!! It is indeed a breakfast scent. It smells like breakfast and maroons with coffee . It is equally great on a man. Absolute LOVE!!!! Superb quality!

lloydbruno

Milky chocolaty and creamy, to me it smells like the drink Alpino Fast, with a leather note in the background! Wonderful.

gividaletti

This scent is intriguing ... is super super sweet and snack at the same time ....... I felt as if they were salted almonds / toast .... with lots of vanilla, caramel. Patchouli is muitooooo strong, it's like if u smell right on the bottle of Vick's Vaporub.
not bad but not found! Quite the contrary, I was wanting one with all the forces

canadianpetite

Found it at The Bay Guildford (small bottle $125 - shh). Immediately after the spray, I detect the vanilla and cocoa - in that order. The vanilla is not the synthetic sugary scent. It is a hint of spice, like woodsy notes. I would say it is like mixing 2/3 vanilla and 1/3 sandalwood splashed on sandalwood. Yummy! For the price though, it is similar to a bottle of essential vanilla oil from Escents ($14.95). If good longevity and large sillage is my target, I would spend the bucks on Bond. One day…

One spray on me,
Sillage: about 1 foot
Longevity: about 4 hours
Rating: 4/5

ranchorita

This is my first Bond No 9 to try, and I'm surprised to find myself loving this perfume because I normally don't care for the gourmand/foodie class of fragrances on myself. Thanks to the generosity of BRIECHEESE1188 for including this sample in her recent giveaway.

I Love New York For All features elements which set it a bit apart from the rest of the gourmand pack, in my view, rendering it more complex and interesting. The wood/patchouli/leather accords act as a capable foil for the sweet/chocolate/coffee spike and mellow this from something merely dessert-like/breakfast-pastry to a more balanced array of notes. A brief showing of bergamot in the opening adds yet more layering to the ensemble effect.

Sillage seems good, and longevity is impressive. Definite unisex perfume in my opinion. I'd find this equally compelling on a man or a woman, and that to me is the mark of a well-composed fragrance, very often. I'm moving this one to my "want" list.

epicurean

Judging from the reviews on this perfume, what you get very much depends on skin chemistry. I wish I got the sweet coffee blend some have described. There is a hint of what might have been lurking on my wrist (something like cardamom infused chai) but the dominant notes reek of a mixture of sharp, cold metal, diesel and rancid chocolate milk. Sorry, but it's a pass from me.

Caist

An old doughnut, and a salty handful of popcorn (same day popcorn) on the floor of the Manhattan transit. This planets dirtiest earth child wouldn't wear this sauce.

(I smell inspiration from a rough night out.. amazing what social status can do)

s_raquidan

Smells exactly like chocolate Rice Krispies! AMAZING! Creamy chocolate gourmand.....and when Bond No. 9 does gourmand they always get it right. Sexy, sexy, sexy and sexy scent.

Maddyrain

Gourmand lovers, rejoice! "I love NY for All" is your idea of heaven.
All I can get on my skin is the sweet combination of cocoa and marrom glacé that lasts a really long time. It's "yummy!", but it can be "yuck!" if overapplied. It can make you sick due to its sweetness.

Bond No. 9 does a great job with gourmand fragrances (So New York, New Haarlem and I love NY for all). Although all these fragrances share the same main note, they are very different and can truly shine on your collection.

raw umber

I <3 New York for All by Bond No 9 is smooth black leather gloves, cupping a generous handful of artificially flavored cocoa cereal with a dusting of instant coffee powder and black pepper. I wonder what the corn syrup content of this stuff is... or maybe they use Stevia.

There are slightly flowery and milky elements as well in the opening, though the above description pretty much sums it up for me.

When I smelled it on a test strip, my first thought was, "cinnamon toast!" because of the peppery aspect of the cocoa/coffee note, and the butteryness of the entire composition.

Now that I am experiencing its development on my skin, I can see that it is just as much a vanilla oriental as it is a gourmand. I do not want to eat this leather-gloved hand overflowing with unconventionally dressed chocolate cereal. I don't entirely mind it either. It is very well blended but retains good note separation, and the vanilla/coffee milk becomes more prominent as it dries down.

The subtle floral in it keeps it fresh, and the milkiness keeps it from being too loud. The projection and longevity are very good. This would probably cling to clothing forever if applied directly to it.

I still feel like there is some cinnamon in there... I'll get over it.

bcoops

Ok after having this for about 6 months I can say I have seen both sides of this fragrance. One side is a stale milk smell or something stale the other is like someone said smelling a bowl of count chocula cereal.... When I do get the count chocula cereal that's where this is a sweet gourmand dream... It bold lasts and is great .... When it's stale it stale... I can't explain why I get these 2 extremes out of this frag but I have seen the kinda of thing happen with dhi sometimes I get an insane chocolate chip cookie dough vibe and others just vanilla/iris ... I never get any coffee but I highly recommend trying this many times .....

Ps today it's is the sweet gourmand lovers dream!

Psiclops

I get an initial whiff of vanilla, baking, gourmand, and then a half second later something else comes in that is unpleasant to me. Something animalistic, maybe the leather that others have mentioned. But it didn't sit right.

I gave it a good couple of hours on my skin, putting my nose to my forearm every 15 minutes or so and got the same experience. Very linear on me.

I needed to take a shower, which had nothing to do with the perfume. After showering, the scent was gone. And I wasn't sad about it.

bigjakeriz

Based on the notes I thought I would love this since I love sweet gourmand fragrances. But when I got to test this , what a shocker. Like a combination of all the notes but gone stale. Just a sickly sweet stale scent. Smells like chocolate when it turns bright and flakey with some medicine poured over it. I could not tolerate this at all. To each his own.

Bklynlatinlady

Funny how I had sampled this since I had been looking for a coffee scent, and although I do not smell any coffee in this, I love the Chocolate. It's like chocolate wrapped in a vanilla blanket. It's warm and spicy, the pepper and patchouli are there but light, not heavy. I love it. It also gives me the desire for something sweet. It last forever about 10-12 hours. After about 6 hrs though the chocolate power fades leaving you with mostly vanilla. Sillage is good too. Kudos to Bond No. 9.

sebjar

Ooph! I'm trying on a sample now but geez all I get is medicine, bitter medicinal notes almost annoying like the medicine has gone bad kind of smell. Or almost like opening a wooden medicine cabinet where the medicine fragrance has taken over the wooden cabinet with just a hint of the wood like cedar or some other fragrant wood. Not recommended. Is it my body chemistry? This should be called I Love New York For Some! Sorry not for me! And what gives I usually love cacao, chocolate notes but it's just not working for me here. And I was really hoping it would because I'm a huge fan of gourmands but I wouldn't call this a gourmand! Sorry!

UPDATE!!! I'm actually now digging this frag. It's the long lost distant cousin of L'Instand de Guerlain Pour Homme Extreme with Sandalwood. I think the bitter medicinal motes were caused by the sandalwood note in here. It just came off bitter medicinal notes to me but once the bitter is faded away it's an amazing fragrance. I love it and it's long lasting better for colder weather for sure but you can use it with caution in warmer climates. Gourmand to the max though for sure! How my nose has turned around I don't know. I just had to get past the medicinal notes.

Whit

This one is on my Christmas wish list and I got a sample of it when one of my "prezzies" arrived. My hubby didn't realize that Nordies gives out samples with a purchase, LOL. Anyway, it was going to be blind buy, but now I actually get to try it before he orders it.

When I first spritzed it (just once on each wrist), I thought "Whoa, this is seriously strong!" It smelled rather peppery and I was thinking "Ok, maybe I don't want this one after all!" But I wore it and as it settled, it became a lovely, sweet coffee scent with slight nuances of chocolate and my hubby agreed saying "Mmmm...that smells good!" The sillage was amazing and it lasted all day plus though my super sweaty hour-and-a-half long interval session on the bicycle! Yep, if it can last through all that, it's a winner in my book!

holychristy

I would like this if it was in candle form. Makes me wanna eat a cinnamon bun or something.

iMaverick

This seems like a retake of BNo9's New Haarlem, but turns its head more towards a version of Rochas Man without the caramelized base and its vein of synthetic lavender. I personally like it. Absolutely smells edible. Makes me smile, like having a fun time walking with friends on a busy street. There's also a spicy cinnamon vibe which reminds me of Mexican fried ice cream on a waffle cone--if they served it that way. The coffee is there, but not bitter at all, more like Kahlua than espresso. Not heavy or cloyingly suffocating at all, you can wear this on a hot humid summer day without thinking you just got a blended coffee drink spilled all over you.

It's niche, $105US for a small bottle, which is a bargain for a BNo9 scent. I also have to add that the scent lasts forever on your skin, I mean FOR-EVER! It's an excellent gourmand.

flora lee

I have completely come around to this one after sniffing samples of "Manhattan" and realizing "For All" really delivers on what I was looking for. Wearable cozy chocolate vanilla with a dry woody base. This just stays nice on my skin and is a luscious fall sweater scent. So different than any other scent too, I think the touch of cardamom makes it chic.

Jiggaman6971

(I'm a rookie in fragrance reviews) Tried this fragrance at Nordstrom's by applying one spray on the top of my wrist. Immediately I felt that the sweet cao cao/chocolate smell was way too strong, overwhelming, and powerful. It was almost a deal breaker, but I remained open minded. Smelling my wrist every 10 minutes, I began to fall for this fragrance. After an hour and a half, I was sold!!! (Sillage) Great!!! I was wearing La nuit de l'homme by YSL and quite often I'd get a slight wiff of the I love New York on my wrist,,, crazy!! (Longevity) sprayed at 530 pm and stayed out at a concert til 130am and could smell that one little spray clear as day without having to put my nose directly up to the skin. (just a wave under my nose) Freaking awesome!!

beebeebrown

sprayed on.wrist...wow...yumm..well...mmmkay...muffins maybe...PLASTIK hit the nail on the head. It semlls just like the non sugary thing-ees in the lucky chams cereal.I love it!!!

Mizz-Coco

I get pure cardamom after this hits my skin with some cinnamon and patchouli. The coffee isn't prominent as in new haarlem for me. The longevity is not that great and the sillage isn't stellar so I'm not willing to fork big bucks for this one. Just not worth it IMO.

plastik

Open a box of Lucky Charms cereal and take a huge sniff. That's what the drydown smells like to me. It opens with a sweet and nutty smell. Being a fan of gourmands, I enjoy it.

Bassplant

I have tried several Bond No. 9's and I'm usually a little let-down. They never measure up to the hype. But I do have to say, this is delicious.

Here's what I smell. Chocolate! Delicious chocolate, not overbearing, cloying, intensely burned vanilla-chocolate. But real sugar and chocolate. It's got a serious 'freshly baked sugar cone w/ ice cream' vibe happening here.

It lasts quite a while on my skin. Nice! I would love to see a cheaper alternative on the market that gives the same 'sugar cone w/ chocolate' sensation I get from ILNYFA. Because, let's face it, the price tags are a little ludicrous. But this does smell wonderful.

It's a scent that I wouldn't want to wear everyday, as it has a danger of becoming "too much" if you over-wear it. So used on occasion, it's possibly my favorite gourmand on the market currently. Good stuff!

jonr951

NEED it, NEED it, NEED it, NEED it, NEED it!!! : )

missk

Just when I thought I couldn't handle yet another gourmand on the market, I Love New York For All has come along and managed to weave its way into my heart. It's much better than I expected, and perfectly unisex. All in all, it's a very hard fragrance to fault.

When I say that it's perfect for both men and women, I mean that it has universally likable qualities. There is nothing overly sweet in this composition, which I am very grateful for. The coffee and chocolate accords, in other words, are quite tame although dominant throughout the composition.

I get quite a creamy vibe from I Love New York For All. If I were to sit down in an exquisite cafe, decorated with all works of art, and order a slice of rich chocolate cake and a latte with one sugar, that would pretty much sum up this fragrance and how I believe it is portrayed. I find it strangely addictive and very alluring on the skin.

If my boyfriend and I were living together, I would most likely talk him into investing in a bottle of I Love New York For All with me. We would share it of course, but I know I would use most of it up myself. I'm a sucker for all things chocolatey and vanillary. Essentially, this fragrance is a gourmand for grown-ups.

The drydown introduces a slightly darker approach with thick, heady patchouli, syrupy rum and shiny leather. All three stages of this fragrance's development are seamlessly linked, creating a smooth, beautiful yet complex blend.

The longevity could have been a little better, but for what it's worth, it lasted a good five hours at least. The sillage can be pretty strong at first, but you'll notice that once it's settled, the projection seems to be a lot quieter. My only gripe with I Love New York For All is that it is a flanker. I think this one deserves a better name and its own spotlight.

rdickey

I get lots of cardamom in this, which is my favorite spice. I LOVE it!!!

bcoops

I'm not gonna try to dissect this, I cant anyway....its flat out deep rich n sexy

DocTales

Smells like warm milk and honey, sooooo delicious!!!
I have to have it. This will be so comforting to have around, especially in a colder climate.
This is a classic, round, wonderful gourmand scent, a total winner imo.

AveParfum

It smells great. Who doesn't like the smell of coffee, waffle cones, and buttered popcorn? The issue is that I'd rather eat those things than wear them. I knew there was pepper in this without looking at the notes because the drydown was so peppery that I could no longer tolerate it. This is great for people who love gourmands that smell exactly like real food, and I mean exactly.

mister_chaz

Out of all three I Love NY fragrances, this is the winner for me. It's a delicious coffee-caramel scent, but it doesn't smell entirely "edible", which is a plus, recommended for gourmand lovers.

Roseline

Deliciously warm and inviting fragrance that's perfect for women who know who they are and who enjoy sensuous pleasures. The rich vanilla, cocoa, coffee, leatherwood and sandalwood combination is an experience in comfort and femininity, with the scent lingering on your skin for hours on end. Absolutely unique - captures the essence of an enlightened, grounded and complete woman without falling prey to conventional floral, fruity, green, oriental, chypre, gourmand or other interpretations. Very welcoming, honest, sexy and pleasurable, drawing many, many, compliments.

rakastan

This is not one of my favorites. But it is one of the most impressive scents I've tried. I am not an expert on notes, but the layers of this evoke memories of walking home from work on hot summer days in NYC. If I close my eyes, I can picture the street vendors selling coffee, pretzels, nuts and pastries, and there is the ever-present hint of something dirty that grows stronger during the drydown. I enjoy this for the blast of nostalgia, despite not adoring the scent. No perfume, for me, has ever told quite a story.

Jillzilla

On me, this was an intense vanilla fragrance, with a very sweet, slightly woody base. Although I could detect the coffee and cacao, I felt the vanilla overpowered them. It was nearly a gourmand fragrance, which I thought would be great, but it was almost "sticky" and lacked an earthiness that I feel could have anchored the scent on my skin. I also didn't detect any bergamot or lily of the valley in the top notes. Perfect for lovers of intense vanilla fragrances!

duskangel101

I'm not sold on this collection, with it's cliched designs- blue for boys, pink for girls, black for both. And like the designs imply, the blue is a typical sweet cologne, and the pink an average fruity floral. The fragrance in the black flacon was better, thankfully. The cafe ingrediants were quite pleasant, and somewhat more unique than what was in the other two fragrances. I like the dryness of the coffee-chocolate combo. But I wish the opening was less bitter and sillage a little better.

Dr_Spazmo

At first sniff i was pleased. An hour or two later omg it was so cloying and offensive. It was only one spray to the hand. It is reminiscent to a vanilla, chocolate suntan lotion. Not for me. This is excessively sweet.

evilspin

Love this fragrance. I like smelling different and complex scents then everyone else. At first Bond no 9 never caught my eye cause i find their packaging a bit whimsy and tacky. until i saw so many of them in a luxury store i shop at. So i considered bond to be possibly prestige and or select. So i gave them a shot and smelled them. I liked alot of them, i couldnt choose which one i liked. The other day i went to Nordstrom and saw the 3 I love NY Bond collection. I smelled them all. The blue was nice but too sweet like a V by Valentino or Lacoste white pure. The pink is for woman. But the black was very weird and different and would maybe get a typical gross reaction by the average person at first sniff due to its over bearing unrecalling gourmand scent, but im more open minded then that. So i didnt knock it down yet, it was strangely unique. I kept whiffing and asked for a sample. i wore it out and couldnt stop smelling myself. Its a pleasing soft gourmand but complex. Which is what i like. I dont want to smell like a typical type of dessert or a bakery. I dont go for gourmand but i do enjoy Hermes Elixer, Thiery Mugler a taste of fragrance and now this one. all 3 of those are types of gourmand that are not gross or nauseating but are the kind that are a bit unisex and at first smell like people wouldnt wear it because its too different from what we grow accustomed to but on skin and given a chance, is amazing! Just like how people love Angel from Thierry Mugler so much (I cant stand that fragrance) I love NY for all (Black bottle)is just like that Angel without the notes that make it overwhelming, gross and recognizable. I love NY for all is a sexier and the new gourmand love for...well for all!

sherapop

According to my manufacturer's card, this composition contains geranium, and I do believe that such a note would account for the dominant geranium-like scent. Married with coffee and patchouli, in addition to cocoa and vanilla, this smells quite nice. I would love to have a bottle, to my great surprise.

I may be one of the only people to purchase I LOVE NEW YORK FOR ALL not because of but in spite of the bottle. I do *not* love New York, and I might even hate New York, but it's probably not safe to say such a thing these days. It sounds so unpatriotic that I might be branded a terrorist suspect. And as we all know this government equates suspects and terrorists, so I could quite easily end up on the Predator drone "capture or kill and preferably the latter" list... So let's just leave it at: I do *not* love New York. Maybe I'll use a black Sharpie marker to put a slash across the heart.

jonr951

I like this one a lot! Definitely on my want list! I think I like the for her a bit more. : )

onlineallday

I don't know what to think of this, but it smells like a bag of popcorn!

flora lee

This is just so yummy and such a flavor experience. At first smell I thought I'd never wear something like this, and I still don't know if I would, but I still WANT I Love NY For All. It is rich, decadent, so far on the other end of the spectrum from my usual florals, but so smooth and cozy even if it does have deep and dark notes. Satisfies your cravings for cocoa and coffee, while presenting something new (and so perfect for sweater weather) with the chestnut, that makes you imagine fine holidays of yesteryear, with chestnuts roasting on an open fire. The comparison to hazelnut coffee (below) conveys how delicious this scent is.

disbecharlied

Absolutely delicious!! I'd been anxiously waiting for this specific one of the ILNY fragrances, particularly because I'm a die-hard lover of all things gourmand. I admit that I was a bit put off by some of the VERY few reviews that I'd read and watched, but after ordering a sample and trying it for myself...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!

My particular skin chemistry is VERY sweet - just about anything I wear quickly turns into Mrs. Butterworth's on my skin. No kidding. So, this was right up my alley. The opening is a delightful burst of rich, bold Starbucks Hazelnut coffee. Creamy. Nutty. Full bodied. Sprinkled with a few dashes of nutmeg, cinnamon and powdered sugar. The middle layer sets in about 30 minutes later, which - on my skin - smelled of sweet cinnamon french toast, drizzled with warm maple syrup. The base gets back to coffee and it sits very nicely on my skin. Reminds me greatly of New Haarlem, but with bolder emphasis on the coffee/cocoa/hazelnut factor. Where New Haarlem gives you a lighter, more fun and "sociable" type of smell, ILNY For All is a deeper, darker, richer and more intimate experience. For contrast - NH is a delicious morning breakfast at IHOP and ILNY For All is an evening cup of gourmet coffee at the Jazz Cafe downtown.

After 3 hours, and a bit of sweat from today's heat, longevity is impressive. Even as I sniff now, I'm amazed at how well they captured such a "buttery nuttiness" in this fragrance. Very well-rounded and well-executed gourmand. It's rich caramel cream, soft cocoa powder and steamy liquid coffee all at once. And again, this is my personal experience and my skin does take a specific liking to sweet gourmand fragrances. So, if you're taste is anything like mine, then you won't be disappointed!!

nattonline

It's been about 30 minutes now, and it still hasn't turned out the way I want it to be. Cocao, coffee, patchouli, vanilla, and sandalwood are all there, but I also get this weird bittersweetness like a coating on a vitamin capsule on top of all these. Because of that, I don't get anything like cookie, chocolate, or a cup of Joe. I get nothing from the top notes either like the bergamot was't even existed!

So far, it's warm and cozy with a uniqueness that I don't mind but I wouldn't want to smell from a fragrance at this price. Anyway, I am sorry that I can not yet give this fragrance a positive comment, but I hope that when I wear it more, it will grow on me or at least it smells different on a different day and temperature.

Remark: my friend told me I smelled like Bandage and Chocolate!

Remark: it's been about 4 hours now. Either I've gotten used to it or the weird smell I mentioned earlier has gone away. I can see myself liking this, but I just need more time with it.

Francop

New and contemporary from the house of bond no 9 in NYC...

I have just received the sample from Harrods London and have worn it all day long...

Gorgeous and unique juice based around strong coffee, cocoa, leather, pepper, patchouli and vanilla notes...I can detect a very sensual gasolin/petrol note which is certainly very much of an 80`s accord...think garage/motorbikes/hot steamy attraction...I truly love this in a modern scent...there is a masculine/androgynous/vampish flair in this Bond...is this why the scent is in a Black bottle?...I wonder...

Excellent longevity and sillage...

Big thumbs up...!!!

mizzjnice

To me, this fragrance can be summed up in two words: "earthy chocolate". You can smell the chocolate from beginning but the addition of lily makes for a weird mix- it's like eating chocolate that fell in the grass. Obviously, I don't like that part much. It seemed very masculine to me at that point. When the lily and bergamot die down, the scent gets sweeter and richer as the coffee and cacao come out and it smells sooooo good, straight up gourmand perfection- not cloying but so yummy you want to bite your arm.

Then, the patchouli peeks through and it starts getting "earthy" again. I agree with the reviewer below, it smells like fresh soil and chocolate... I don't smell the woodsy notes at all on me. Right before the complete dry down it's all chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and patchouli. I just wish the chocolate and coffee would hang around longer because they're practically gone in 15 minutes and it's more vanilla than anything else after that.

I like this a lot; it's perfect for winter and definitely unisex (for guys that like vanilla scents). I'm going to ask my boyfriend to try it.

UPDATE: My boyfriend loves it! It smells so good on him! I'm going to get a sample of New Haarlem and see which one he likes better.

WARNING THIS IS LONG, AND IT'S ON ALL THREE FIRST RELEASED ILOVENY FRAGRANCES:
The new Bond ILOVENY line is actually in collaboration with the state of NY...not the city. They sealed this business deal together allowing Bond to use the iheartny logo. With this new deal, came new prices. The 100ml went from $220 to $175 and the 50ml is only $105. How did they lower their prices you ask...they used cheaper packaging and design for the line, but ensured the employees the level of Parfum is the exact same. My rep told me they did not lessen the quality or level of essential oils in any of the new fragrances. New York State wanted to create an overall pleasing series of fragrances that individually will represent the entire state. With that said, and after smelling all of them i can say they are all safe scents, and come off a bit synthetic and generic to a crazy frag head as myself. But thats ok because overall they are all very nice and quite alluring to the average nose plus they are still done with typical Bond quality and eye candy design. The plan is to launch 15 fragrances in total by the time there all done. Currently, there is three newly launched bottles and fragrances to start off the new line which is simply called ILOVENY (for him, for her and for all). The blue bottle which is mens has notes of ginger, juniper berry, grapefruit zest, lavender, geranium, patchouli, leather, sandalwood, labdanum, musk and amber. The blue one is nice, it's bright citrus fruity and green on top with a bitter sweet drydown. Reminds me of a mix of their Harrods for him and Montauk. The pink one is the women's frag. It too is nice and I personally like it better then the blue. It has notes of mandarin zest, spicy nutmeg, blueberry accord, roses, pink peonies, patchouli, musk, vanilla, sandalwood and leather accord. It's got a fantastic bright orange zest on top but drys down to a warmer fruity vanilla frag. It's not listed but it smells a lot like strawberry frosting from a cupcake with an orange slice sitting on top. Again, not a jaw dropper but unique and generic at the same time. Has a similiar vibe to Madison Sq park with strawberry and vanilla. And last but not least...the black one called ILOVENY for All. This is my fantastic, and I couldn't help sniffing it from the moment I sprayed it. It's a sensual, sexy, coco powder gourmand fragrance. It has notes of bergamot, muguet, pepper, cocoa lmr, coffee beans, creamy chestnut, patchouli, vanilla, leatherwood and sandalwood. I get a very intimate coffee bean and chestnut smell at first as it blends into a creamy close to the skin vanilla patchouli fragrance. I find the fragrance intoxicatingly delicious. My only fear from spraying this on today is it's projection and longevity. I put it on my arm (not a pulse point and the worst place to test PH changes with any frag), but regardless it seemed to sit kinda close. But because of the rich coffee and coco feel, this may just be better suited the way it was intended. I just hope longevity stays true to some of the other deep Bond frag's like Nuit de Noho and New Haarlem. Regardless at the new price point I plan on buying the black bottle within the next week. Perfect for fall season, light enough for office wear, and sexy enough for any gourmand lover of the opposite sex to make me a tasty desert. Still not sure about the one I just dubbed my fall signature scent...well do you like the coco found in DIor Homme Intense but don't like the makeup vibe... Do you like the patchouli base in Angel Men but don't like the tar note...Do you like the creamy base of New Haarlem but don't like the maple syrup pure sugar vibe. Then I suggest you create a light, designer version of all those powerhouse fragrances in your head amd smell I Love New York For All, because that is exactly what they have created. Hope you enjoyed my take. I plan on doing this all in a video early in the week on YouTube :-)
