My Burberry by Burberry is a Floral fragrance for women. My Burberry was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian. Top notes are Sweet Pea, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Grapefruit and Lemon; middle notes are Quince, Freesia, Geranium, Peach, Green Notes, Gardenia and Passionfruit; base notes are Damask Rose, Rose, Patchouli, Musk, Leather and Violet.

A new Burberry fragrance expected on the market in September 2014 will be named MY BURBERRY, and it is inspired by the cult trench coat of the Burberry brand and a London garden after rain. It is announced as a very floral fragrance whose task is to enter the top 10 in the luxury arena of beauty! High aims of the Burberry brand are supported by the announcement that this will be one of the key editions in the fragrance collection of the house, but also that the largest collection on the occasion of a perfume launch so far is being prepared.

British charm is captured by the camera of Mario Testino who will take photos of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne with the aim to transfer the British style of fragrance and to present the women it was aimed at.

Besides the challenge to convey the cult style of the Burberry trench coat, the freshness of a London shower and the scent of a rain-bathed garden, the wish of the Burberry brand head was to show skills in creation, tradition and creativity. Simona Cattaneo, senior vice-president of Burberry Beauty sector said the following: "Burberry trench is something very personal. You can wear it in several different ways, in different places and occasions. There is an emotional connection with trench, and we wanted to transfer it to the new fragrance," adding that the new fragrance is composed of a floral bouquet with a modern twist and a pepper accent.

The composition of the new fragrance My Burberry opens with sweet peas and citrusy notes of bergamot leading to geranium, freesia flowers and golden quince in the heart. The fragrance is rounded up with patchouli in the base, joined with Damascus and Centifolia rose! The perfumer of the composition My Burberry is Francis Kurkdjian!

Kurkdjian said the fragrance was inspired “by London, an urban garden. You have the vibrancy of the city, so it is something contemporary. You have the garden. You have the flowers…and the art of gardening, which is very important for the British. The flowery aspect of the perfume comes from that idea of the garden after the rain. You have the lush wetness. You have the soil. You have the earthiness. All of these feelings.” As for his choice of notes, he said he wanted to evoke “the feeling of the light of London: clouds, wetness, rain, flowers.” He said the main flowers are roses and freesia, “which is a little bit spicy and adds brightness. Then geranium leaves, which give an herbal, almost minty, vibrancy to the perfume. Then from the back note, there are patchouli leaves and quince—a fruit that is between a pear and an apple. Very British. It is not fruity, fruity. It is fruity floral. Then on top you have linen and bergamot,” he said.

The flacon of the new fragrance My Burberry is made of glass, with a stopper inspired by the button of a Burberry trench coat. The color is honey-beige, also taken from the cult trench. The neck of the bottle features a ribbon made of the same fabric as the Burberry trench from a factory in Castleford, Yorkshire. Perfume My Burberry will be available as 30, 50, 90 and 900 ml Eau de Parfum accompanied with perfumed body care products (240 ml shower oil, 100 ml body mist, 100 ml deodorant and 3 soaps set).

A very elegant flower profile that is safe for work and everyday use. A safe choice but I wouldn't say it's generic, it's just well-blended and has a sense of class.

orangeblossom6

So glad I revisited this scent. It's so beautifully classy and mature, with a freshness that makes it so appropriate for daywear. Inoffensive to others and settles into a gorgeous dry down that's addictive and quite consistent to its initial spray.

sntiago

A true mom perfume. Classy, mature. My mom has this. All the notes are blended with each other that I can't pick out any specific one (except maybe peach, rose) - it just ends up smelling perfume-y to me. Very generic. Floral powdery, not overly sweet smell with a greeness. Smells like perfumed makeup. Love it on my mom, absolutely not on myself.

Enar_smells_good

This is becoming one of my favorite “everyday” kind of scents. I rarely repurchase perfumes when they run out, as I enjoy trying new things, but I really like smelling like this most of the time! I get the sweet pea and quince. I see that people rated rose pretty high, but I’m actually getting more freesia, which gives it a slight shampoo like quality. There is also geranium, which adds a slight spicy earthy floral quality, but it isn’t too much and blends well with the rose and freesias. There is that leathery touch in the dry down, which really does make this feel like springtime after it rains. I can feel the inspiration! I detect the other notes, but to me they are more of a supporting role to create that feeling. Patchouli and violet offer that touch of earthy sweetness, but not too much. I really love this! I think it gets overshadowed by Her and Goddess nowadays, but I like this better. I hope it sticks around!

Lorinica

It smells very classy but quite youthful. I bought it because I wanted to have one completely floral perfume in my collection (I'm not a big fan of too much florals in general). Sweet floral, clean smelling, It reminds me of a wellness/spa atmosphere, relaxing, soothing, but with a floral kick. Like luxurious smelling spa products or realxing in a luxurius spa with fresh flowers in hollways...

Projection is more than arm's lenghts, it lasts me around six hours after that people will be able to smell it if you come up close but for example if you hug someone they'll be able to smell it the on you the whole day. It leaves a light and airy trail behind. In my opinion it's not working in winter time because it's very harsh and dry smelling and during summer months it's not projecting well. But in autumn and in spring as well it's really shining. I'd say it's an autumn scent and it pairs amazingly with color beige.... soothing, elegant, classy, light hearted combo...

In comparison to Black version this one is ligher, less sweet with zero sexiness while the Black one is sexy with more prominent notes of peach, patchouli and it really is darker, denser, sweeter & more decadent.

paupadua

A womanly scent that is very classy. It's a sweet floral and very less fruity scent. Good for formal events.

Live&lovefragrance

I just LOVE this on a rainy, spring day. Perfection!

latafan

Crisp fresh opening that settles into a rosy soapiness on a base of patchouli and musk. It's well-blended, clean but expressedly 'perfumy'. I don't dislike it, but it's not my personal preference as far as allover vibe goes. We just don't really 'click'.

Being 10 years old it does also smell a little... not dated... but generic in a sense that I feel I've smelled at least a dozen very similar fragrances. That doesn't mean that this specific one is generic or a copycat of anything, it just means that when one fragrance genre has been around long enough even the original will start smelling a bit like 'all the others'.

That being said, it is a nice fragrance. It does have a classy feminine vibe around it. I do not feel it smells crass or cheap at all. I do understand why this is some people's signature or wedding pick. It's quiet gentle feminity.

Performance is average on me. Good projection for the first 2-3 hours. After that it's a skin scent on me for another 3-4 hrs before vanishing completely. I do wish it had a bit more of an 'oomph' into one or the other direction. More expressiveness, you know.

Personally, I prefer both My Burberry Black which is more decidedly dark and heavy on the patchouli, more confident, or My Burberry Blush which is more decidedly youthful, airy and optimistic.

It's a like. But I wouldn't spend on a bottle for myself.

pinkclogs

extremely feminine, the bottle is a perfect visual representation of the scent. it’s sweet in an elegant way, like a 30-year-old finance consultant. the scent lasts for ages too, i smell it on myself throughout the day. but because it lasts so long and projects a lot, it may become cloying to people who aren’t huge fans of sweet scents.

fahgrance

Bought this blind & quickly became the perfume I use very often. Though I find it a touch too sweet for my liking at first, I have grown to love it -- makes me appear less intimidating (which is great when you have a resting bitch face lmao). Sweet, classy, long-lasting. Would buy again.

Beyzabxx

Very mature and heavy scent. Florals are almost choking your airways. The dry down is tolerable at best. You learn to like this perfume and use it once in a blue moon.

Gemsense

This smells way better in below zero temperatures F. Now I can smell the story that is being described above, all the notes have their chance to perform where as in warmer weather it’s the strong leather note that smothers everything else and makes it smell like a mash up rather than a perfume.

emiliaa

the scent is really elegant and smells so young, innocent
young girls should have it

ammouna20

This is my wedding day perfume <3 so you can expect how much i like it already.
it's a classy and unharmfull smell.
Sweet but well balanced.
similaire to burberry body though
the sillage is perfect and logevity is moderate but not suitable for hot weather.
the price is correct and the bottle is simple and chic.

thaochipnd

The garden after the rain is fresh, elegant and youthful. However, sometimes the Sweet Pea flower smell is too strong and makes me uncomfortable. I'm not very used to smelling the scent of this flower.

scenchanting

Actually I can't really describe about the scent but I love to explore any kind of scent, at first I just love something soft and fresh scent but when I was met my burberry I felt so strange kinda really heavy for 18 years old for me but when the base note came out it's turns out so good for me I love how the aromatic and musk scent out.

For this one I'm gonna give 8/10, if you like feel like being sweety but stay a bit classy I recommend u to try this one ^^

curlykitty8

Just a very sad reminder that Burberry now belongs to the monstrous Coty and after reading some of the more recent pejorative reviews I am seriously suspicious of what one of my very favorite fragrances has become. 😢

bajablast

i hated this. sour

grapefruit352

This is very interesting and special scent! Not that easy to describe, because it is complicated scent!
It starts with raw lemons (somewhat reminds scents like Karl Lagerfeld "For her" or Elizabeth Arden "Green tea citron freesia"). Those strong lemon notes are non-sweet. Yes, there is slightly unisex vibe that may appear aftershave cream (s l i g h t l y), like you just hugged your husband and some of his perfume got on your blouse..it all on the first stage, which lasts like 1 hour or so. BUT then...starts amazing! It opens up flowers and green notes, undetactable, different wet flowers and wet grass- with hours, they open up more and more, sometimes smells more with grass sometimes more with flowers..After 6 hours it is mostly flowers.. it absolutely Chanel "Gabrielle"!
I have both of those scents, so My Burberry opens up after all like Chanel Gabrielle! The same mix of lovely "expensive" elegant cool flowers with aldehyde notes! Only Chanel Gabrielle is a bit monotonous and not changing- the same from the start till the total dry down. But My Burberry is mutating, changing, not boring. Kind of adventure!

Gemsense

This is amazing, I love it 💗 very fruity but with layers of freshness and florals. I don't get masculine at all. This is very feminine with my chemistry. It smells it's best in cool fall weather. That's when the notes really mingle well together. People are right when they say it has a shampoo like quality but it also has a fruitiness that makes it juicy. I don't get dated at all. Regular Burberry is definitely dated but not My Burberry. It's a daily wear type scent for sure.
I don't get patchouli at all or any leather, which I'm thankful for. I don't like that sort of fragrance or those two notes in particular. If it's in there, it's just a supporting character. If say sweet pea is the major stand out note in this one.

Roxy85

When I originally smelt this years ago I loved it. Then was gifted a big bottle and hated it. It just smelt like a man's aftershave for me. Like old leathery smell. Nothing feminine at all. Now years later, maybe its off or something, but my hubby ran out of his usual and asked if I have anything and of course I reached for the most masculine fragrance I have, My Burberry. Oh my, on him its beautiful. I can't put my finger on what I can smell, I wanna say coconut but its not amd its definitely not old leather. Think I may have to revisit this one and give it a full days wear. Definitely not a blind buy.

spellbook.soaps

I like that this scent doesn’t mutate from initial spray to drydown. Its consistency is nice that way. Yet, it’s a little milder than what I’m looking for. I’m dramatic, though ;) More floral than fruity IMO

Shokenmo$@711

Tried it at a counter and waited until the dry down. It was nice, but a little bit too overwhelmingly sweet for my nose and gave me nauseated feeling. I like many layers of the perfume, though. A good blend. The dry down was easier on me.

Craytrans

Feminine Sweety Fruity Floral slight vintage perfume , kinda too much for the high heat but pretty good longevity i got 6 hours, pretty and linear.... id rate it 6/10

suzanne_ronald

MAKING it LOOK EASY. Signed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, this beauty opens with a fruity-floral burst of sweet-pea supported by multi-faceted bergamot, that deepens into the fruity-floral heart with sweet, citrus, green, aromatic & near-pineapple tones. This is all resting on a rose-patchouli base with hints of musk, leather & violet. The patchouli here is of the dusty variety, and leans to oakmoss (as in the EDT), blending with the rose to add a dusty-powdery facet. The green tones in the heart lean to davana and add just a touch of piquancy to the juicy fruity-florals. Way in the background the gardenia mingles with fruits adding a Juicy Fruit gum facet. Alongside there is a vague shampoo vibe containing the other raucous elements, and the result is a sophisticated yet mass appealing scent in the family of scents like an updated J'Adore Dior. If this was the brief, Mr. Kurkdjian has resoundingly succeeded, and although it was probably no easy task, he's made it look & smell easy. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

aaaris

It's fine, nothing mind-blowing. It works well as a daily scent during colder months! It does smell a bit mature for me, but that's because I'm still in college. For someone older, though, this is a nice classy scent that isn't too overbearing!

Lotte_Liese

The difference between my burberry and my burberry blush is so little that it is almost superfluous to have the both on store shelves. A citrus opening followed by pink florals and more pink florals, this also has a bit of a shampoo vibe, but is a tad green and soapy. Boring and linear to my nose, the other notes appear to be altogether missing, perhaps it's been reformulated or this batch doesn't just cut it?

G.GirlSwagger

My Burberry just smells like men's cologne to me. I never liked it and barely touched my deluxe sample before it evaporated away. Maybe I just got a bad bottle? It's the only one of my perfumes that have evaporated away. I store them all away from heat & light.

IKA OKTINA BR SITEPU

an elegant perfume, not a beast mode, subtle but linger on your clothes for days. A flowery, not too sweet scent for adult woman

Phantomias

I tried this yesterday and couldn't identify the floral notes. Sweet pea is a difficult note to get right, no perfume I've ever tried has a true sweet pea scent. Nonetheless, this is a very pleasant fragrance and easy to wear. Feminine and good performance. Burberry has become rather expensive, and I won't splurge/can't afford a fb, which is a shame.

Shanipoo

Very interesting scent story! If I weren't seeing the notes, my nose mostly just picks up on the sweet pea, geranium and rose but I do get the whole "garden after the rain" vibe. The geranium in this is fascinating for me. If you liked sweet pea as a child, this is a neat more grown up take on it. I don't smell any of the quince and I truly cannot stand that note. Wouldn't purchase as it's not the scent profile I care for, but it's been a fun sample and far from boring

astralmonad870

For all the interesting notes such as sweet pea, geranium, and quince and the expensive price point of this perfume, this smells exactly like the Pear and Freesia Eau de Cologne by Jo Malone which has 3 notes in it- pear, freesia, and rose. Pears and quinces are similar so I understand why that would be happening, but it was disappointing for me.

coffeefifofum

Easy to wear, easy to forget. Floral/clean scent. Soft, pleasant, go everywhere sort of scent.

baddieb

"A London garden after the rain" is the perfect way to describe this, and FK does it beautifully. It doesn't smell like petrichor and to say that would be misleading, moreso a slightly dense sweetness, slick like the morning after the rain, the way the raindrops might smell like after lingering so long on the petals/fruits. It is that perfect mix of fruity/floral that doesn't lean heavily one way or the other which is something I always look for in fragrances like these. I'm so glad this wears well on my body. It doesn't read as youthful or demure either. It's very elegant and sophisticated and so wearable.

Many will say that this and many other Burberry fragrances aren't groundbreaking and you'd be right, most of them aren't but to be fair, most people aren't looking for fragrances that are extremely niche and experimental. Is it well-blended? Is it carefully constructed? Does it have longevity? Does it project moderately? You bet your ass it does. Another hit from Burberry!

Jordan 99

Very clean, soapy, inoffensive, sort of professional elegant fragrance. I would of love it but it’s bit unisex on my skin, also longevity is poor. What surprised me leather doesn’t bug me here, actually can’t smell it at all, even quince is so soft can’t pick it up although it’s my favorite note. Everything is so well rounded and smooth hardly to pick up on any notes.

PeacefulSunshine

This is fine, lol. (I'm rating this as "Okay" to differentiate it from the plenty of other perfumes I "Like" more.)

I do get how this translates to a London garden after the rain... the execution of FK's vision was quite masterful as this perfume is damp and quite floral.

....My Burberry is just way too heavy for me. I live (and love being) in a tropical place, so this is not my personal vibe as I do not enjoy consistent rain like others do. And it's still a bit too sweet for me. I think I may have liked it more (although still not love) if the sweetness was gone or at least more muted.

dilflover560

BEAUTIFUL clean - almost soapy scent. I love to spray this after a shower, or when i want a strong scent that wont overwhelm or be obvious.
It has incredible sillage for about 4-5 hours. It then gets pretty weak but people still smell it on me HOURS later. The longevity is impressive but I WISH the sillage was better , and lasted more than a few hours.

however the scent itsself is sooo amazing and perfect for any occasion as well as any season. Strong but wont make anybody naseous. Perfect for any occasion where you dont want to reek of sugar but still wanna wear perfume as well as still smell feminine. brings a nice amount of attention from anyone about arm length away fromyou. But is it worth about $140? no. pretty overpriced for the performance but this scent is almost top tier for clean scents.

WearyWanderer

I got it as a gift. I think I just wasn’t meant to get along with FK’s creations, and while I admit the scent suits me in a way (my spouse does know his stuff) it continues to make me think of a scratchy, stuffy wool sweater. I wear it with exactly such sweaters, to go see my family or to the office Christmas party. It’s sophisticated and mature, I give it that, but… Not a scent that makes me feel attractive.

realitygreene

My Burberry is very grown-up, sexy, and sophisticated. This is one of those scents that reminds me why I am into fragrances. This scent is tickling all the pleasure centers in my brain. I could see this scent being perfect for so many occasions and versatility is something I need to start considering more.

The opening to me is very heavy on the sweet pea and not so much the citrus, but I really don't mind it. This is like grown up sweet pea. The florals in here smell so fresh like they were freshly picked and I think that is because of the "green notes" and/or the quality of the floral notes. I can smell the quince and peach a little bit and I think it's an excellent choice because it really rounds this fragrance out. Finally, the base notes. The rose and violet are both toned down which I appreciate. I do love rose, but violet not so much. I like how in this fragrance rose and violet aren't the dominant floral notes. It's a nice change of pace for me. I'm sure this may change as this fragrance wears because it's only been about an hour and a half since I applied my sample. The patchouli in here is tolerable (yay!) and the leather smells so sophisticated! It's a nice, clean, warm leather. The musk is there too and it really balances the whole fragrance out.

I am really impressed by this. Another win for Burberry and another win for Francis Kurkdjian. (Side note: 2023 is the year I will finally test out BR540 and the Extrait! I swear it!)

If it wasn't obvious, I absolutely want a bottle of this fragrance. It's so good. And like I said, so versatile. I could easily wear this to work, to a semi-formal event, a formal event, heck I would even wear it to the grocery store. I'll update this review if there are any noteworthy changes as time goes on today while wearing it.

Thenieceay

Classy and sophisticated fragrance. Perfect for work and night outs

Jajally

I used to dislike it when I was younger. It smells too heavy with floral that too mature. But now I’ve grown up(at least by age) and have a career. This perfume smells so so good!! Yes it’s mature but in a good way. Perfect for a day that you need your confidence boost up for work cause damn it smells like a working women that great at their job, reliable and of course, rich lol
For me it’s a must have scent that I can see myself reach for, not daily, but definitely from time to time

Allegoria

This may not be a safe Blind Buy for you!

I’m so glad I purchased a mini to try before purchasing a full bottle. I was so sold on the concept of the “London garden after a rain”, and Burberry has done an ingenious job creating that moody floral feel. But there is just some note in this perfume that my chemistry treats very wrong. The mossy, earthiness of the garden turns dank on me, and I’m so sad it does. I so wanted to love this.

So, just a heads up. By all accounts this is a huge crowd pleaser; but just to be sure, a trial sample might be wise.

Atabey_H

This is the kind of fragrance I can see myself wearing to meet my partner's parents for the first time.

Cassiopeia1912

I tried this on a very hot summer day and instantly wanted it. Apparently the beauty of this fragrance doesn’t really show on my skin on the colder day. I guess I’ll have to look for My Burberry Black instead for the autumn/winter season.

Rizaibb

This is an elegant fragrance. Best floral-sweet perfume ever!

louiemmgregorio

This perfume got me into the loophole of loving fragrances. it was gifted to me when I have been into one of my most favorite places. My friend brought me to this perfume shop and let me choose what I want. Before, i don't know anything about perfume so the sales assistant really help me through. i think i sniffed around 20 perfumes before I got this one. i am not even looking at the labels she just sprays and hands it over to me. Then when i said I like this, that's when I knew it was Burberry. The smell was very complex and I like that it changes every time from the moment you spray it, it reminds me so much of this place and the feeling it gave me and now I understand why a lot of people love perfume. i am always very eager to feel again the feeling I have felt when i visited this place, and this smell just do that for me - since that place is now quite impossible for me to the visited again.

kvnlzw

My first ever female fragrance and it smells exactly like a Burberry store. It's light, floral with a bit of personality, even though I don't detect that much of a citrusy opening. For me, it is an original floral scent that I can spritz onto myself for everyday use.

Eveningrose

This and Burberry touch smell very similar ! No need to have both ! It’s a basic / powdery fresh scent !

mrshnchnkm

For me it smells like geranium with a lot of green notes. For my taste, it is too floral, but not fresh enough.

sofiasperfumeaddiction

All the reviews made this perfume sound amazing but I literally just smell alcohol and a very faint floral scent

Tinabill

Intense fresh flowers 🌸 🌺 💐
The briefing of MB describes it as capturing an English garden after rain 🌧 and that’s exactly what it is. I don’t know how he did it, but Francis Kurkdjian is no less than a genius.
It has just stopped raining, the sun ⛅️ is peeking as the clouds are clearing and you step into the garden of a suburban English district. The smell of the dewy roses makes you inhale deeper. You also smell the vibrant green leaves and the citruses and fruits on the trees on sides. Even the mild smell of damp soil makes you smile.
The scent is so lush and classic but still modernized (no heavy aldehydes or moss). It dries down to a soft suede (almost creamy I’m guessing from the gardenia) and you can still smell the garden but now it has softened.
Amazing performance and a very beautiful floral for floral lovers 🌷❤️

jeissi

A fresh floral parfume with a really good performance! I finished the bottle, it's versatile.

Iroko

It was a blind buy but I was pleased with the purchase. What struck me most is the freshness it exudes. It is pheomenal. I would recommend this for an office wear because it is not offensive in anyway. It also reminds me of Estee Lauder 'Pleasures' but with less longevity.
Definitely going for a back up bottle.

Nocciola23

Kurkdjian has created another masterpiece here and I love this. It is almost a niche quality scent because it is quite dark and the quince gives it an almost powdery/grainy finish that is unusual in a mainstream designer scent.
I love this, but I don't think it would be a safe blind buy. I think it's also better in colder weather.

correspondencepersonal

First Impression - First Spray at Macy's to test the perfume:
This seems to be a sophisticated blended down version of Burberry Body and Body Tender. I was looking into this specifically because of the fruity note "Quince" - which I first found in Avon's Incandescence Lotus. Quince is a unique fruity note which really took center stage in Incandescence Lotus. I couldn't detect the note of quince as much in My Burberry. However, this is worth exploring further. This seems to be a good perfume for every occasion, it would definitely be "signature" worthy with the right chemistry.

I tested this in the store alongside Burberry Her.
This is MUCH BETTER with my chemistry than Burberry Her. Burberry Her goes very bubblegum and sharp with my chemistry.

2nd Impression - I bought 3 samples My Burberry perfume to see how this wears.
This has a honey-tea type note that reminds me of the freshness that I found in my beloved Eau du Ciel perfume by Annick Goutal. My Burberry is fairly classic, there are no notes screaming for attention. The blend is harmonious, sweet, there are playful notes in this that smell like a soft juicy fruit floral blend of ingredients. There is a chemical dance that is happening as this is first sprayed. I love this quality of perfumes, there's a sparkling aspect to this.

Pretty, sweet, upper register - almost moving into the soprano register.
This is really nice - I am feeling like this would be a "signature worthy" perfume with the right chemistry. I definitely think that this would be a perfume that would make me spin on my wheels and ask "what are you wearing" because this smells so good - and unique.

I'm trying this alongside Dolce & Gabanna's "The One" - and they both are similar, "The One" is slightly more bright and crisp with a sweet tart (not as in Sweet Tarts candies, but a sweet/tart blend) which adds a tanginess to the blend. My Burberry is more classic and would be an easier reach because I feel that it would be more versatile.

------------

30 minutes after spraying, this is going super well with my chemistry.
There is definitely that "magical thing" happening - like Tinker Bell waving the magic wand and fairy dust begins to twinkle. This has a "charming" element to it... it is pretty, but the notes (especially the sweet pea and quince) really make this perfume more unique and less ordinary...however, this is not so odd that it would be too much for certain occasions. This perfume walks the line between modern and fresh and classic -- very well.

LeahElskerParfyme

I smell some spicy for My Burberry base note, not recommended, it is a little bit weird with spicy base note

Ylpha_Gyal

For floral perfum lovers this one is beautiful classy and unique

angelina.hz

I bought my Burberry black before buying the original EDP. Smells very similar but I prefer my Burberry black. This one isn’t as deep and sweet as the black.

Cataddicted

A very lovely, floral, daytime, inoffensive scent. I think most users wouldn’t have a problem with it, it is one of those scents that is quite easily liked… but I think because of its simplicity, that it doesn’t knock my socks off/amaze me either. But overall it is a very nice everyday perfume.

Nicole love

I got a sample of this and it’s really a beautiful scent. It’s definitely one of those smell before you read the designer ones. It reminds me a little of an older sister to Romance by Ralph Lauren. There’s something very elegant and beautiful about this. I think I may purchase a bottle soon

lysithea

My burberry is a beautiful floral perfume with some green and also sweet facets. I appreciate the versatility of this fragrance.

ReminiszentSzent

To me, this collection is better than Her collection. Her gives me headaches, this one doesn’t.

Shelly84NZ

A soapy lemon meringue pie ... buttery and citrusy with a whiff of vanilla body wash. You smell warm and fresh out of the shower. It would be a bit much for summer, but it's a lovely fragrance that lasts a long time on the skin.

I'm not sure why they say it has green middle notes, there is nothing green about it.

amelude

I blind bought this since I saw someone selling it secondhand for dirt cheap and liked the sounds of the notes, but it just did not smell good on me after 4-5 tries... The smell was reminiscent of a dusty attic somehow. Maybe it's the leather notes. However my friend tried it and it smelled glorious on her, a fruity mature scent. I guess it just doesn't work with my skin chemistry. I ended up giving it to her.

Chrysi 🌸

This perfume smells so nice!! It's not something you haven't smelled before though. It smells florally and clean. You can wear this from day to night. Better for autumn and spring, but it's also cool for winter. It's quite sophisticated in my opinion. Unfortunately I can't really detect any specific note. Don't blind buy it although someone may say it's a safe blind buy, especially for a woman 30-50 years old. I would wear it although I'm much younger. Anyway, I don't recommend to blind buy perfumes. I'm very selective with fragrances and the fact that I really liked this one says something. It's a crowd pleaser I may say.

amina04

Not a bad scent at all, but very basic/generic to my nose. Just a basic fresh floral

shaeri87

This is a masterpiece. Francis Kurkdjian hit a homerun on this one. To me, this epitomizes exactly what this fragrance was created to embody. When I wear this, I feel like I am in the middle of an urban garden with geraniums, freesias, sweet peas, and roses, in London, during a light rain. On me, I do not get one note that stands out above the rest, it is so well blended. Projection wise, this is pretty beastly in my opinion. I spray 2 sprays, and that is more than enough for me, and lasts more than 8 hours. This is definitely a fall/winter fragrance, and I love it because it's not your typical gourmand/spicy fragrance that are popular during the colder months. This to me the PERFECT gloomy day fragrance, and it's just amazing how that was captured. Francis Kurkdjian is a genius, he really nailed this one. I absolutely love this fragrance, if you live in London or a city that gets a lot of rain, you absolutely need this fragrance in your collection. I happen to live where it almost never rains, oddly enough, but on the rare occasion that it does, you best believe I'm pulling this one out! Love this one!

juicypearxo

This is a really nice clean perfume, smells like you just got out the shower. Great everyday scent for pretty much any season however I probably would reach for something warmer in winter. This is really floral and inoffensive and can see it being a crowd pleaser ☺️

stephdray

Goes on pleasant and springy enough. Gets very annoying after a while. I’m not sure what note I don’t like but kudos to the brand for being able to annoy me all day. That’s quality longevity

jakielius

This is another perfume I liked okay but didn’t love. I often used this one as an after shower scent. It’s very fresh and floral and it makes me think of rain or a dewy morning. Definitely a feminine scent but it’s not overly sweet. If you enjoy light floral scents without much musk or spice, you would probably like this.

Danadoo

I love this scent so much! There are a LOT of different notes in this and the fragrance really changes throughout the day. I adore the initial splash of green notes and geranium, there's almost a mintiness to it and I love the dewy rose as well. I am a perfume collector and have about 200 or so bottles in my collection but I get so addicted to this gorgeous scent that I often wear it for weeks on end!

adelaidesandrina

I’m so sorry in advance but the sweet pea in this? Smells like sweet pea from bath and body works. To me this is an inoffensive scent, although the notes are rather loud. It’s good, but it’s not really a wow scent.

giri-boni

It smells oily/sharp. Maybe quince? Who knows. I did not like it.

Itgirl94

Super long lasting on my skin and I think it's a beautiful scent, just not my type. There's some note that is too loud for me and makes this unwearable, I generally like soapy and floral scents, also some gourmands. However, I can't get myself to like this. Have this available to swap if anyone is interested.

JessVanEgg

This scent makes me feel confident and happy. It smells of sweet flowers and it is slightly citrusy. I am not big on floral and hella feminine scents but this one just makes me feel comfortable. It’s currently raining where I am and the scent of the rain and this transports me to the mountains, in a field of pink flowers by a small river.

The sillage is moderate, being a bit more than intimate. The longevity is of about 6 hours, and it is perfect to wear during the cooler days of spring and fall. Value is pretty alright.

I’ll rate it a good 8/10.

Elsee

Bought this in Chicago 4 years ago from the Burberry store. LOVED IT!!! Brought it home to New Mexico and it did not smell the same. I find that when I buy something in another city -- esp. one that is humid, it does not smell the same in the arid dry heat of the desert. Just sayin....

Today however -- it's been raining all morning (yes, in the desert!!!) so I took it out and sprayed it on. Guess what?
It's glorious!!!!

Funny how that works!!!

Farytalewoods

This scent makes me feel I’m always comfortable and naturally confident, clean and put together. Jeans and white t shirt sun glasses but a million dollars girl at the same time. It can definitely be a signature scent.

annasarahr121

When I first smelled My Burberry, it seemed so different from anything I'd ever smelled that was made in the last 30 years for the mass market, at least that I'm aware of! It has an elegant reserve that is related to some of the perfume Greats: Chanel Cristalle EDT (1974), Estee Lauder White Linen (1978), even Calvin Klein Eternity (1988). It has a kind of crisp elegance, a warm-cool temperature, and soapy cleanness. It's NOT cuddly at all, as so many perfumes are today, but is somewhat formal and reserved, with its green sweet pea note, sour, astringent, almost citrusy note of quince, and rich rose/freesia/carnation floral mix. It's that mix of formality and grace which calls to mind the warm-cool cleanness of White Linen, though it's not as minimalistic as that one. And, while it's not as warm and spicy as Eternity, or as mossy/citrusy as Cristalle, I think that all those three operate similarly to My Burberry in the contrasts they create, albeit with different materials: White Linen with oakmoss and aldehydes; Cristalle with oakmoss and citrus, and Eternity with spicy carnation and soapy rose. My Burberry creates that same tension with the sharp green note of sweet pea and the sour, astringent note of quince overlying the base of florals (I cannot distinguish any in particular, though the notes say rose, freesia, and carnation). That tension of rich, graceful, and lovely flowers contrasted with green and sour notes is very beautiful to me, though it just teeters on the edge of yucky -- and I know some folks can't get beyond that sour note! My Burberry is definitely a complex perfume that presents some challenges, yes, and calls to mind an earlier era of perfumes with grace and reserve, but in a totally new way and with different materials. Bravo Francis Kurkdjian, every bit as much of a master perfumer as Sophia Grojsman (White Linen and Eternity) and Henri Robert (of Cristalle fame)!

tryhardcomplex

This perfume was my signature perfume for almost 4 years. I've used up bottle after bottle and I just could not get over the fresh floral scent that absolutely lasted for hours and hours on me. The opening is quite florally but on more of the fresher spectrum followed by a slightly soapy scent and the dry down was very warm and comforting. It was very long-lasting on both clothes and skin and I absolutely loved how clean and pretty it smelled.

aliengunaydin

I had this, hugely disliked and never used. Today while packing this baby to its new owner I realized it’s not that bad and actually kinda liked it. It’s a flower soap (which I love but I mostly prefer the white floral soapiness) it’s so elegant and comforting. I have never really used Burberry fragrances but people near me have and they are always so classy, clean, not really feminine (except the her line) make you want to be close with that person and trust that person. I think it’s four seasons scent, may feel potent at the first spray but it will not offend anyone.

lagavulinx

magazine sample_ When I was 4 in the 70s, we drove across country & stayed in smoky holiday inns. This is what this smells like to me. Taking a bath w dove or Jergen soap, brushing my teeth w gleem at the rest stops w the silver bathroom stalls. Then laying down to bed with the blanket & everything else covered w stale cigarette smoke all over the room really tired. so far i think i love it. but i need to retest an actual bottle

MariaFortuna

Love of my love. 5 years I can't find anything better.
The best perfume for rainy, windy weather.
10/10 !

Dani C.

If you are a soap lover, that’s for you. Although this perfume is classy, elegant and undoubtedly well made (perfectly blended) it’s not my cup of tea. The EDT version is less soapy and brighter but lacks performance. Beautiful creation just not for me.

femmebrulee

Pretty sharp citrusy and soapy scent. I would probably like it on someone else, but it’s not for me

Yimyim2525

I have tried this maybe 5-6 years ago in France and I was in love and always wanted a bottle and, I finally bought one but it’s nothing like I remembered this is smell exactly like Rose Paul Smith , which I find it too strong sharp and synthetic I’m not sure if my bottle go off or something or my nose just changes , I’m sad and disappointed , I thought I will be in love with this just as I always felt. 😞
Edit : I want to give it another chance and after spray all smell to my nose is damp marigold flower , so it’s a real goodbye to this one.

bel.gravia

What a gorgeous use of geranium! I'll start with saying I got My Burberry Black first and it smelled different to what I've expected. This beauty also has that DNA in the background. This perfume reminds me of the brand Chloe for its chic style, beige color, and very intriguing yet feminine and elegant rather lighter scent in its character. As a perfume this is strong though. Just so so pretty. Beige, light, with an unmistakable green geranium.

CaliBlonde

One of my favorites scents. I bought the biggest bottle available and I don’t ever want to run out!
This smells classy, young, and fresh. Very upbeat and preppy. A perfect blend of fruity & floral. Like eating fresh cut pears in a garden. Perfect scent to wear for a “brunch & shopping” type of day.
Somehow smells very “Burberry” to me, like if I were to blind smell this I’d know it’s Burberry. I also enjoy the Black version.
Excellent performance. Long lasting and good projection.

An_154

First I sprayed it at store, walked with it a bit after . I liked it so purchased but when I started to wear it , the perfume gave me sickness and headache. Didn’t like it in the end at all

kathmarie

I love this one so does my daughter & sister. At home I spray it heavy so pleased.

Iheartperf

To me this smells like soap, aftershave, and sweet pea. It's ok but almost too masculine in the dry down! Like soapy aftershave. I'm not sure about it... But if I layer guerlains Mandarine Basillic over it it smells way better lol

Cherihanei

Very strong citrusy quinces ! Smells more like a soap or a shampoo. A bit too acid and not for my tastes but still pleasant. Wide and heavy sillage and projection. Longevity was a solid 7-8 hours on my skin. Daytime scent, way too pronounced for an office or a date though...

perfumelovere

I wore this scent and loved it before I knew about Universalis Forte and BR540, both of which I own. I'm not sure why I never repurchased this one. It has sillage and longevity superior to many other perfumes these days. I love the sweet pea but it just got too heavy/perfumy to me. I want to smell good without being blatantly obvious I'm wearing perfume. I'm on the hunt for for a nice light floral that isn't J'Adore and isn't a freshy. I tried Light Blue, Daisy and Chanel Chance Eau Tendre but my skin and cedar do not mix well. Next on my list to try is Versace Bright Crystal Absolu. I was also interested in Dior Addict 2 but it has been discontinued. In conclusion, if you like heavy, warm floral fruitchoulis you'll like this one.

Rose du soir

I love orchids and own a few. My favorite is a cattleya whose fragrance is so sweet and intoxicating when I stick my nose in its flowers. My Burberry doesn't smell similar to it, but it has some of this beautiful flower's heady sweetness. It's the scent of Spring flowers - not the first days of Spring, but at its end, when it gets warm and evenings smell so lovely. It's a garden filled with flowers with an intoxicating fragrance, freshly watered grass and bees buzzing all around. It's also a little bit soapy to remind us that it's not meant to be truly realistic, but real perfume.
My Burberry is one of these true florals like they used to make until about 20 years ago, but that we stopped getting used to as they've become much less common. It's a bit nostalgic and beautiful.

yellowhat

It's very interesting that when you smell it you know that is Burberry like all the Burberry's frangrances although all of them are different between them.

Rangel7

I can tell the quality is good and it's well blended, however I just can't stand it! :( My Burberry helped me discover that I hate sweet pea smell, I can't get past that fresh cut flower smell.
It's innocent and probably suitable for many situations if you're a floral lover, but it's just not for me. I'm glad I only purchased a mini to try it out.

Jacob1984

I absolutely love “My Burberry” it’s so fresh and clean. Very long lasting fresh smell. Will for sure enjoy wearing this scent. 10/10.

Mel14

I love this scent! Excellent projection and longevity. To me it smells soapy which is the reason why I bought it...I revere soap smelling perfumes.

This one has A LOT of notes and SO well blended, so much so that I have a hard time pinpointing a particular one. Maybe the sweet pea, quince, patchouli and rose - I can't identify the rest of the notes - stand out the most to my untrained nose. I smell pineapple (it might be the quince combined with the passionfruit though) and honey although they're not in the list of notes. It is tangy and fruity sweet without being cloying.

I think this perfume is timeless and ageless. It can be worn all year round day and night. I would not consider this a safe blind buy though, it has a very particular scent that not everyone might find enticing.. I certainly do!

MCulpa

As a big Burberry fan, I have been trying this perfume out for a long time and it was the only one I never liked much. I think it was simply because I would spray it on paper, dislike it and throw the paper in the trash. This time I accidentally kept it in my pocket and 2 days later thought to myself "what is this amazing smell?". The drydown is truly where the beauty of the perfume is. Unfortunately for me and my wallet, now I have yet another addition to my wish list.

RedLipsReview

Sweet flowery all weather, all occassion perfume. Typical Francis Kurkdjian signature, which I am not a big fan of. But this is still ok.

aqua76239

This was spur of the moment blind buy at Saks outlet while back. it came in gift set with small lotion and large bottle of edp. I heard it was adult version of fruity floral of sorts so it seemed like I would like it judging by notes.
it is indeed fruity fragrance with prominent gardenia note thats sweet with citrusy notes. All of it is blended so well that I have hard time picking out notes. My nose is fine tuned to white florals and i can always pinpoint if there is one in the scent. In this one is nice. I find it rather linear actually because on me it smells sort of same from start to end. I think its patchouli which gives it that little something extra because its not your standard generic fruity floral. i find it very different actually and more sophisticated.
Lasting power is very good. I sprayed it at night and could still smell it in the morning. On clothes, it lasts for days so for that alone I will give it high marks because i tend to like heavy hitters that last long time,
I didn't know that creator was Francis Kirkjian who does indeed tends to create unique scents so no wonder i liked it.
I like it more now actually than initially. I think it grown on me.
One thing i am not found off is huge heavy bottle. It looks great but if you ever have to travel or take it anywhere with you, you will have to decant some because its made out of heavy glass.
I actually think you can wear this scent year around because its not very light and appropriate for all ages and occasions

iTod

Elegant scent, yet playful, not overly sweet and pretty fresh. Works for any time of a day, any season and any occasion. Love it

MsLittlejohn

Yeah, I traded mine too. It's too citrusy for too long. Then it's too flowery for too long after that. Definitely great for citrus lovers, and it is well made. Awesome longevity and sillage, I just didn't want it slapping me in the face all day! Felt like slaps to the face, not a beautiful, wafting cloud tickling my nose. Lol!

LawmaLlama

This is a juvenile scent to me, perfect for a teenager or woman in her 20s. It is an overly sweet, floral blast. Perfect for someone wanting to smell like a sugary, innocent floral bouquet. I don't pick up any citrus or garden rain London vibes at all, which might have made the fragrance more interesting. It is just too much floral, and then the scent only lasts about 2 hours on me, even with 4-5 spritzes. Glad I bought a travel size to test.

Reminds me alot of Kate Spade Live Colorfully, only not as good.

perfumelovere

A+ for longevity and projection. This stays on and stays strong. I wore the perfume for a couple years and received numerous compliments. My boyfriend at the time said it was too heavy for his preference. I burned out on this one quickly though and wouldn't go back. I get sweet pea, rose, gardenia and patchouli. There's a maturity to it that could attract someone in there late teens or early twenties. We want to be older when we're younger and younger when we're older.

Timaka

I thought I would absolutely love this. Turns out I don’t even like it, at all unfortunately.

My Burberry turned into a sweet floral mess on my skin straight after spraying. The more I wore it, the more it begun just turning into a generic shampoo scent. To be fair, the sillage and longevity were great for a few hours - until I showered it off.

I’m sure this is nice, warm yet fresh and feminine fragrance on many others, but unfortunately not on me.

Forbiddenjade

Freesia blast with a (very) faint hint of sweetpea and quince. No violet, no rose, no citrus, not detectable as this fragrance is utterly ruled by freesia in top note, and musk which takes centre stage as heart note and remains linear to drydown.

It's a sober without being dated scent. But it's nothing new, or extraordinary. To me, it speaks business scent, the kind of perfume I can see a sharply dressed woman wear at important board meetings. That squeaky clean, out of shower scent that for some reason appeals to many, but not me.

This is a polite, there with a sophisticated demure attitude fragrance. But as said, it's a bit too business like, not for dating due to its soapy, no-nonsense stance.

Definitely a great one for work. Worth buy a sample before blind buy!

—}—@ darlingbud

I’ve had my moments with My Burberry Black, which is sultry, smoky nectar characterized by the black velvet ribbon around its collar. But the original My Burberry is too sweet in the opening, too modest in the heart and too snuffy in the drydown for me. One summer, I lived in a London flat with a picture window that opened to the garden. To my nose, MB doesn’t smell like a London garden after the rain.

CrazyRussianChick

Blindly bought it today (got pretty good deal, couldn’t resist). I was so excited to try it - I hear so many people love it, including my mom... And for me it’s a “meh”... Don’t get me wrong, its a beautiful fragrance, I liked it very much, but it wasn’t exciting at all - I smelled so many similar ones...

Now I’m debating with myself whether I should sell, swap, or keep it... What do you think?

Supersmelle

The short: I love it. Sweet pea, roses, and spring flowers with staying power. Fun to wear.

The Long: This opens so beautifully. Strong bright florals and wet aquatic splashes. It actually gives a fresh cool impression but, not herbal or medicinal in any way. It behaves so well on my skin. Lasts a long time too 4-6 hours; then a pleasant cozy comfy skin scent.

I have a huge bottle and I want a back up. I love this for spring and maybe summer too. It did not bloom in the winter when I first wore it. But, now that it is warmer...It wows me! Fun to wear and a mood brightener for me.

Bottle is really nice. I like the cap, the ribbon and the weighty bottle.

Hello_kieren

I was going to blind buy this but ended up going in to a store to test it out and I'm glad I did. The perfume was ok, but nothing special and a bit synthetic. Very meh. I think it could be kinda nice in the Spring time, but I feel like there are so many other nice perfumes out there that I would choose before this.

British Rose (Francis Kurkdjian, 2014)

The great master of jasmine and rose F.K. has presented another beautiful rose. His recognizable fresh and fragile rose supported by wet flowers. Very feminine and gentle perfume with some classical aura. It contains some specific Burberry note encountered before in great Burberry Body.
The bottle is fantastic, especially the button-like cap.
Burberry British rose which perfectly evokes the humid climate of English gardens.

Science&Scents

The backstory on this frag is something else! I picked this up because of the nose behind it: FK does rose like no one else IMO.

This is a mainstream version of FK's creations with all of the power. It's quite potent and smells more expensive than it is. The sweet pea and quince lend a youthfulness that keeps it from being overly mature. This is WONDERFUL quality.

I'm not sure where exactly to wear this. I want to pick it up in the spring for sure but outside of cooler days, I'm pretty sure I'd choke people out. I definitely have to go easy on the trigger wearing it to work. Longevity is great (7+ hours easy) and sillage is quite powerful. This also reads a bit cold IMO--regardless of the weather.

I picked this up along with the MB Black flanker and I have to admit, I prefer the flanker. That said, the flanker is exclusively for cold weather.

EDIT: I wore this mid-May, sunny and 75, and this is beautiful. I still get that coldness but the sweet pea is delightful--standing on the shoulders of the rose. It's got some weight so it's a good idea to go easy on the trigger (4 sprays max for me and that's probably doing too much).

faodailen

My Burberry Burberry smells different when I spritz it on my skin and on my silk robe. It does not develop into other fragrance on my skin (exactly the same as in the bottle) but it smells elegant fresh flowery on my robe. And... i wear my robe when i finish my sweaty exercise and before i shower. hahaha

For months I've had this beauty and been waiting and wondering WHY it does not develop into some 'elegant' fragrance as many reviews. It could be considered as 'uninteresting' on my skin. Voila! It smells beautiful on my sweaty robe.

I wear it to work and i do sweat (tropical country). This experience helps me understand more about perfume. Why a perfume projects and reacts differently on different people.

kattdrake

It's fresh and flowery with a musky tingle... rose and I also get an odd hint of scented eraser, haha? I expected something fuller but it's terribly boring.

rbickel6

I love love love My Burberry Blush so I thought I would really love this. It has the same light, watery feeling but the sweetness of the wisteria in Blush is replaced by something I don't like. Don't know what it is but it's kind of bitter and off putting. I get a synthetic vibe I can't warm up to, much as I would like to!

pjspaceshit

No matter how hard I try, I can't find any suitable descriptives to give off a realistic image of the nature of this scent. I suppose that the note I get the most is the sweet pea, which in never smelled IRL, so that's probably the case. I'd say this fragrance is extremely well blended as I really can't identify any individual notes (and trust me, I smelled a lot in my life).

My Burberry is very unusual perfume, I don't know any scents that are similar to this. The words that come to my mind while sniffing from my bottle are elegance and intensity. Oh yes, this fragrance is sillage and longevity monster! So be careful not to overspray. When sprayed lightly, it's pleasant and inoffensive, but I can imagine that excessive application will lead to suffocation of any living organism currently occurring in your surroundings.

davidlong13

Everybody has slept on My Burberry! I got my bottle yesterday and I didn’t have high expectations. Thinking it would be a light, simple floral perfect for the office maybe lasting about 3 hours.

How wrong I was!

Spraying it on, it is a crisp, floral that sits so nicely and lingers on you but manages to not be cloying simultaneously. I bought my bottle from Notino. They currently have a 20% sale for certain brands (Burberry being one of them) where you can purchase a bottle for less than £30.00. You guys have to try this, perfect for all occasions and even all weathers. Overall a really stunning fragrance that truly took me by surprise.

Sofia333

Guys! I received a miniature sample from Sephora and I applied after I worked out one day but I had taken a shower prevously, anyways this blended so incredibly clean but sexy in my skin, this is so clean but not light it's rich and luxurious I can't. My burberry eau de parfum is in my top 3 fav perfumes.

Happyme2009

This has enough reviews not to need anther one... so just a few words. It smells like a floral with aquatic notes and a good dollop of honey, Basically sweet pea, which is dominant, honey, not just sweetness, and something fresh, watery and ozonic. Good for just about anywhere, although it can be strong when first sprayed. Not seductive but clean, lovely and elegant.

SweetLadyForOne

I blind bought this yesterday. When I got out to my car I sprayed on a few sprays. And I thought oh no! I made a mistake. It was very strong. And there was a note or two that did not smell good to me at all. I was already planning on how to get rid of it. But about a half an hour later, after it dried down. It was heavenly. I couldn't stop smelling my arm. This is really beautiful. I love it.

polkadot27

I own My Burberry Black and My Burberry Blush and love them both, the first is deep and boozy in a cozy way and is perfect for winter days in a thick wool coat- the amber rose patchouli and jasmine work wonders together. Burberry Blush is a perfect Autumn and Spring Scent which has a very similar DNA with a freshness, cleanliness and lightness. This one, the original however just doesn't smell right to me. There is a musty rotten fruit dry down with this one that lingers which I don't quite like, it isn't as well blended and rounded as the others, hence why I haven't purchased- it has a sort of sticky cloying scent that I don't like. Sillage is good though. If you don't like this one, do give the others a go though, the note compositions work better in the other 2 scents in my opinion and they are better blended and smell more luxurious and high quality than the original.

gtabasso

Loved it and the changes it went through but wish it stayed in the top. It opens a VERY sweet sweet pea fragrance with some quince and grapefruit that reads more like a ruby red because of the sugary top. Then, lots of musk becomes present, a little vanilla not listed but it's there. The base, it all dries out and gets a little bandaid for me that I think is the leather attempting to show but ends up more like cashmeran with suede. In winter, this definitely has an aquatic vibe to it.

scalywitch

This is one of the few fragrances that when I read the blurb I actually got! Being a woman from England I really understand what Burberry and FK tried to say with this. Initially I get the floral burst which is typical of an English country garden, for me I pick up 2 flowers very dear to me as they were my late Mum's favourites and that is sweet pea and freesia, real childhood memories of my grandads allotment where he planted sweet peas and the rest being from garden visits in stately homes in spring, damp warm grass, heady roses and early fruit blossoms, delicious. But there is something else underneath, something earthy to me and then reading the blurb I got what FK tried to portray, damp earth, I also get the feeling of the trench coat which even though it is not leather they link in my thoughts. On me this switches between a feminine floral and a sensual but outdoor type woman fragrance, quite lovely.

mihaela_dana

On my skin, after many hours smells like j'adore :)

chinook

My Burberry is a fruity leathery floral. It smells strongly of quince, grapefruit, a nondescript floral, with a leathery undertone. It feels modern, sleek, and brisk. It’s simple, linear, with good longevity. I can see a young woman wearing this to the office. Personally it’s not for me.

pamelalasalle110

This fragrance is one of my favorites of all of the Burberry scents. It may soon become my signature scent, The florals aspects are so subtle and are singing a song of loveliness with that addition of expensive leather, making it feel more elegant than the casual fragrance it really is, There's also a touch of smokiness that give it an aura of mystery. Simply devine, and affordable.

nirvana95

I adore this gorgeous light floral, sweet fragrance. It is very refreshing and perfect for Spring/Summer weather, especially in the heat. I get a tea like scent as well, almost an iced tea kind of feel. It is my favourite floral fragrance at the moment, an easy reach:) Also a side note, it smells incredible in the rain!!! The silage strong and lasts about 7 hours.

Overcomergirl72

I think if you like Estee Lauder Pleasures or the long-ago Estee Lauder Private Collection, you'll probably LOVE My Burberry EDP, providing it works for your body chemistry.

I LOVE fresh fragrances like Clinique Happy, Burberry Brit Sheer, Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and Gucci Flora Eau Fraiche. (I'm attracted to citrus in perfumes - what can I say?) To me, there's very little vanilla in My Burberry (and I don't like vanilla in perfumes). It reminds me of a spring or summer bride on her wedding day -- bright, full of joy, surrounded by pink roses, leaving a memorable romantic scent as she moves.

I took one whiff of this at Macy's, and I was instantly in love. That's how I know a perfume is for me. It's an immediate YES. Anything I have to smell over and over to figure out if I like it usually ends up being a NO.

To me, this like Pleasures on steroids. Even like Estee Lauder's Private Collection, which I believe was discontinued years ago!! It has a MUCH longer lasting fragrance than Pleasures, though, that actually gives you the joy of enjoying it on YOURSELF! I mean, I like that other people enjoy it, but I buy perfume because *I* like it, so I want to enjoy it, too! No need to look for a lotion to layer this. My Burberry EDP is a grown woman who is able to stand up and speak for herself without help!

I just got it this evening for my birthday, and I sprayed it on my left hand. Ten minutes later, I came back to the same area and could still smell it in the air!! I couldn't wait to get a shower and try it on for real. I sprayed twice on my neck and once on my left wrist, and I am wrapped in pure happiness. It's intoxicating. It just keeps giving and giving.

I got this on a really good deal, but it's worth the money! You don't have to spray much for it to have an effect, so you're not bound to run out soon (unless you can't help yourself).

I will say this about perfumes, though -- try it on. I've sprayed perfumes on the trial card at a store, LOVED it, and then tried it on my skin and found it to have a TOTALLY different effect. That happened recently with Coach. I loved it on the card, but after I tried it on, it dried down to what smelled like moth balls, of all things!! :( Blech. Thankfully, My Burberry EDP didn't do that. I sprayed it on the card at Macy's, put it in my purse, took it out at work the next week, and the fragrance kept for 3 days! I'm glad to say I get the same experience on my skin. I am NOT disappointed!

update:

i saw many people comparing this to Estee Lauder Pleasures and Ralph Lauren Romance.

let me tell you what i think about them.

Ralph Lauren Romance and My Burberry are DISTANT COUSINS.
Estee Lauder Pleasures and My Burberry are more like step sisters.
on the first notes, they DO smell very very similar to each other but what makes them part ways is the DRYDOWN after a few hours on my skin.
ELP : sharp, refreshing , 'green' florals. Flirty.
MB : creamy, luscious, rich florals. Seductive.

NoelleNice

I love this fragrance when it dries down. It’s soft, creamy and sophisticated. It is one of those fragrances with many notes but all wafting together harmoniously so it’s almost undefinable to me. I think what I smell off the bat must be the Sweet Pea everyone is talking about (I’m otherwise not familiar with this note). But it fades on dry down for me and gives way to something so much more delicious and beautiful. I don’t know why people have voted the peach note so low - I can smell it quite prominently on dry down, but not in an overtly sweet fruity way. I smell freesia, subtle rose, and patchouli too. It has sweetness, crisp greenness, florals, and then something a bit intoxicating and sultry underlying it all. That eye-rolling goodness. I love My Burberry Black even more (by a nose), but I feel like both scents are underrated.

Anamandy

This is a very bold fragrance that slapped me around the first time I tried it. At that time, I thought it too sweet, too citrusy and too sharp. It opened very sugary with sweet pea and a sharp blast of citrus and freesia, with geranium and grapefruit too (my least favorite note in perfumes), which read like pepper on me. It then calmed down and turned more into a fruity floral with vanilla and also light patchouli. Still didn't care for it at that time and washed it off. The next time I tried it, I had the same first impression, but this time didn't wash it off. As it dried down the sweetness and sharpness dissipated somewhat and it smoothed out and became softer, (though losing none of its richness), and a lot more floral and juicier from the fruit. I didn't pick up the leather at all. I found it really very pretty, and especially love the musky dry down. Between the grapefruit, the freesia and geranium, which are all sharp notes, I still am not crazy about that opening, but now I know enough to wait it out as that dry down is great. Silage is excellent as is longevity. This is only the second fragrance from this line I've tried to date. While I like it a lot, my favorite is Body, which is a smooth ride for me from beginning to end.

Edit - 6/2/19 - I'm now officially in love with this perfume. I wasn't a fan of the opening before, and am still not a big fan, but it's no longer as sharp as I initially thought it was. Maybe it has something to do with wearing it now in warmer weather. The more plausible reason is that it is a very unusual composition that threw me a little, as it's very unique even among the fruity floral genre. Whatever the case, I now love it.

I am really coming to love Burberry scents. I've since tried others and find that they are all quality products that are well composed with fantastic silage and longevity. This literally lasted all day with just 4 sprays. Now I want to try even more from this line. Can't wait!

million thanks to this lady stranger who got me here.

~here's a back story:

= on a hot, crisp, sunny afternoon i was doing my grocery shopping at a mall, i was tired and sleepy, queuing up for my turn at the cashier lane. in front of me was this one tall , lean lady, her hair was ashy blond, curled, she was wearing an all- white sheath dress with floral open toed heels, carrying a black Gucci Sylvie. as she turned to pick up her things from the trolley to the cashier belt, a whiff of the most beautiful scents hit my nose and i swear to God, my eyes bulged right there and then. it 'slapped'me awake, i was no longer sleepy. as she continued moving around, i became more 'aware' of the scent, some creamy, velvety delightful florals that made me fall in love. it was as if i was in a garden , showered with cold morning mist. fresh but delicate. refreshing but not extremely citrusy. sultry and sensuous, not loud, but very noticeable. elegant. luxurious.

never have i ever tapped a person on the shoulder and asked

"sorry dear, may i know what perfume are you wearing? you smell so good"

and this adorable lady smiled at me and said :

"My Burberry, been wearing this for years"

and off she went, gone, with the wind leaving trails of the beautiful scent behind.

i'd imagine Halley Bennet wearing this perfume, perfect for her personality , her sophisticated look and fashion style. imagine Halley Bennet in the movie The Girl on The Train. that, just imagine that.

i quickly went to Sephora, sprayed some here and there and waited for a few hours to finally decide, that I have found my new signature perfume (since Gucci II).

My Burberry, you will forever be My Burberry.
WHERE WAS I WHEN THEY LAUNCHED YOU ?

pamelalasalle110

My husband bought me this bottle on my birthday to go along with the Burberry Blush he got me for Christmas. I have fallen in love, and may have easily found a new signature scent. It's funny, at first I wasn't sure, I got a big hit of all the citrus at once. It soon settled into a sharp rosey musk. I think some of the reviews are a bit harsh, and have painted a portrait of a heavy rose scented fragrance. I guarantee this fragrance is a well meshed blend of pure exhilarance, something quite special. After a half hour or so the roses and musk give way to the patchouli, quince, and damp greenery. The whole dry down period is an experience in itself, different notes shining at different times. Brilliant! Leather and sweet pea galore! Lovely rose sure, lucious sweet pea, oh yeah, but inside the pocket of a brand new Burberry leather bag...EXPENSIVE. This perfume embodies class, elegance, and sophistication. The longevity is excellent and it projects very well. Worth it!!!

MoonCandy

This is a very pleasant scent! It smells so strongly of sweet pea. It takes me back. My sister used to wear sweet pea scents a lot. This would smell great any time of year. Spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Peach and roses in a fine leather bag is what I get from this. Don't get me wrong it is very refined fragrance and is true to the Burberry house DNA. It opens quite strong on peach and I found it to be more tolerable sprayed at a distance. The projection is warm, peachy and quite impressive so is longevity. Unfortunately, I'm not very keen on peach-heavy perfumes as they're a bit too tarty on me so it's just a like for me.

tinadee

For me, this perfume smells pretty but conventional. I've smelled this a million times on others, whether it was My Burberry or some other generic smelling perfume. It's light and pretty, and not too sweet in my opinion (I am a fan of sweet scents). It's safe to wear to the office as it's inoffensive, but if you're looking for a unique signature scent, this won't be it.

Mbrock

Soapy rose. Pretty but nothing special. Its smells almost like a rose body wash on me. Sure its pretty, rose usually is but it is not unique or standout. It is well blended, it does not smell cheap or anything off putting. I can see why some people really like it. Its just for me its a bit blah.

LadyPilot

This is my second review of this beautiful scent. My bottle of EDP arrived today - on a warm, sunny autumn day, while the leaves are turning red and gold and while I was cutting quince in small pieces. And it was all an amazing experience! Quince is the dominant note in the perfume and in these circumstances, when my hands were almost drenched in the juice after over an hour of peeling and cutting it, with the warm wind coming in from outside my window, My Burberry just shone!
I'll be sure to use it in the forthcoming besautiful day - to enjoy the autumn and the amazing sunny quince essence. Truly gorgeous perfume for this time of the year!

Emera1d

It is a very delicate floral. According to the description the creator aimed for the scent of rain-bathed garden and I agree 100%. Smells like water, maybe rain and sweet flowers. It is very fresh, smooth and pretty. It is a strong like from me but not love. I think it is the kind of fragrance one can where anywhere to any occasion. Beautiful-yes, but not attention grabbing and I feel it lacks character. I don't see myself buying a second bottle, but I will enjoy finishing the one I have. It does have a decent longevity and projection.

beckeroony

Gosh I love My Burberry so much! It's become my signature after trying out a bunch of different samples over the last couple months. It's complexity is addicting. Sweet, spicy, lasts all day and keeps changing. Fantastic!

Comment only based on final notes after 5 hours.
-Smells fresh and warm e.g. freshly baked vanilla cookie in metal tray with metallic smell

I'm a man who try My Burberry edp.

This is different from what I guess, My Burberry is a kind of fresh floral not warm or dense as I imagine. It open with fresh jasmine along with red rose and freshness scent make it feel like working woman who is active and confident also fashionista as well, after a half of hour it becomes more fresh and keep the floral as background just like a girl that just finished shower, so soapy and clean and dry down to ( a bit )warmer sweet like honey.

In my country (34c degree) it doesn't cloying or harsh feeling and still light and fresh, so it would work in summer too.

This is a great fragrance for active woman, and make sure you keep confident when wearing this.

Scent 8.5/10 ( I love to smelling this scent on girl )
Project 8/10 ( About arm length )
Longevity 8/10 ( It can hide and seek with you for 6-10 hrs)

Today in my opinion all the girl usually wear the same boring scent as "Fruity/Sweetness" just like drug store cheapie cologne, in the man opinion it doesn't make the girl sexy or attractive, my suggestions is wearing something " Fresh Floral " that make you look classy and clean you will stand out from other street girl, and we can smell you all the day without cloying feeling. Be different with My Burberry or Juliette has a gun- Lady Vengeance.

I wanted to write a new review for this scent because I feel that it is so terribly underrated. The bland/negative reviews kinda make me sad. For one, I think the vision of a foggy English garden misted with dew and walking among the rose bushes wearing a leather trench coat is spot on. This one has a very realistic wet foggy floral opening. I am not a huge fan of rose but the rose is not the star of this show for me. I actually get a very dominant leather note. I find it odd that nobody else does. But aside from the leather, I find the sweet pea and freesia to be the prominent floral notes. I also at times get this crisp freshly washed linen vibe at times. All of this on top of a delicious musty patchouli. I find My Burberry to be very classy and every day wearable, but not at all boring. It’s an amazing composition that is quite unique. I can’t list three or four other scents that smell just like it. Please give this one a chance guys, it’s a hidden gem.

cwilldesign

I recdently took a trip to ulta to sniff a few of the fragrances I haven't tried in awhile - or scout out any new ones. Burberry was a surprise for me! Out of all of the scents I tried - My Burberry was the most striking and appealing to me. So sweet in a warm, honey type of way - not sickly sweet, very inviting soft floral. Classy and easy to wear day or night. Sensual without being "sexy" I think. I like this one so much I plan to look up Francis Kurkdjian and see about trying more of his fragrances!

LadyIva

My trusty old sniffer thinks that My Burberry is similar to Dior Pure Poison. The official pyramids are completely different, yet the overall olfactory impression is almost the same. Neither of them is something that I would be compelled to buy.
My Burberry is a typical sweet fruity-floral, with some soapy-clean and almost plasticky overtones. I’m averse to too many fruity notes in a fragrance - they always smell incredibly artificial to me. Here we have quince, peach, citruses, passion fruit and whatnot, plus loads of powdery florals and sweet patchouli. I’m sure that lots of people find this fragrance very enjoyable; alas it’s not for me.

lmwimsatt

At sensuous floral. Anything you wear while you have morning sickness you will never be able to wear again. I've lost many of my favorite perfumes to pregnancy

SensuousFloral

Although I love Burberry perfumes, this one did not sit well with me. I had it in two occasions-first when I was pregnant and it literally made me nauseous. So I thought "It must be the hormones!" and I passed it on to my Mum (she liked it big time). Then I got it as a gift well after I had a baby and the same thing happened-it is a beautiful, very long lasting, somewhat heavy perfume, but again, it made me sick, probably due to combination of roses (which I do not like) and freesia. So my Mum got a second bottle! On my skin it stays as a pungent, suffocating feromone-like smell.

evatgirl73.1

Disclaimer: review after testing at store, I don't own this. :) I tried it once before and didn't feel like I got a good enough handle on this scent (aka, it wasn't super memorable) so I tested it again today.
There is something in the opening that is just not compatible with me. I can't put my finger on it. It's like it is too floral, almost screechy... not awful and I get the feel that it would smell good on someone else... it is probably the sweet pea (a note I just don't care for and didn't know was in this until right now). Maybe the citrus..? I kept smelling my wrist now and then after spraying and no, not for me. No loss, that is what testing is for, right?
Except... now, 3hrs later, I keep smelling my wrist. What was annoyingly floral has become soft and smooth. I sense rose. I sense something fruity and sweet. It is quite beautiful. If it smelled like this at first spray, I would consider purchasing it! As it is, I am not prepared to buy a fragrance I have to wait several hours to enjoy. I know, I know, lots of great ones are built this way but I don't have enough planning in me to make that work..!
It does smell really nice now though...
I do have samples of My Burberry Blush and put it in my "like a lot" pile as well as My Burberry Black (also like a lot but reserved for night use as it is quite heavy on me). Will have to further test those!

PricklyAndHot

There are so many notes, but the fragrance is hard to remember. Not touching at all.

sopke

It is totally exact comparison with a lipstick smell in th reviews bellow. Mainly i get is quince and rose, but this fresh lipstick veil in combination with amazing longevity is a dream. I had a blotter left on the work table, all work place after few hours was still filled with adorable freshness.

LadyPilot

I was wondering what makes this perfume different from other perfumes I know and at the same time similar to other Burberry creations... something smelling like liquid gold, fresh, spicy, juicy and sweet - and I guess I know - it's the quince! I tested this beauty today and I'm sure to go for it at least once more - definitely worth trying! It's a perfect autumn scent, warm but vibrant, rich but fresh, cozy but energetic, gold but not heavy... That's how I feel about it. An amplified and enriched version of Burberry Body and Burberry Body Tendre. Amazing.

amira_farouk1612

This is my favorite perfume & coco mad. I guess nothing cl
Could b more beautiful than ❤️

socorrosouza

I love this perfume. On my skin it lasts for 8/9 hours, has heavy to moderate sillage for 3/4 hours. The scent is a citric rose (I don't get any sweetpea, thank God !), a rose/yuzu accord that is crystaline, pure, very different from Chloe, which is a soapy rose, not very sweet but sweet enough (not like Tea Rose or Red Roses aromas that are very dark). My Burberry is uplifting, makes my day more beautiful, I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CassandraAlexandra

I wouldn't at all recommend to just buy it blindly based on the notes or rave reviews. I love rose in fragrances and I hoped to buy a bottle of this today after testing in store. All I can say is: this is downright one-note on me, very flat, colorless, lifeless, and so boring (well I believe the ad with Moss and Delevigne reflects this scent quite well). Reminds me of Chloe EDP too much and doesn't really stand out.
If you want to know how it smells like, imagine a rose after rain, but not that sensual essential oil rose smell, no! It is scent of just wet flower, petals and green leaves. It has been done a thousand times before and will be done a thousand times after this.
For this price - no thank you. Even Chloe is better and has a lower price point.
For a more interesting rose I'd suggest trying on Lady Emblem by Montblanc.

primrose_in_spiderland

OMG, if you are looking for a review to find out if you should buy it or not - JUST GO FOR IT. It is a perfect smell for a modern classy chick. I adored this although the bottle is so bulky it was hard t put it in my bag any day and it is incredibly heavy as well. But Over all Just Perfection!

tabitha106

It was the second time I sampled this luscious floral fragrance that I fell in love with it! Always good to give a scent more than one try. Now I really appreciate how beautifully My Burberry EDP is composed. It opens with sweet floral petals blended with the prefect touch of citrus to keep it balanced. But my favorite layer of this rich scent is the heart. The white freesia opens with a soft sweetness that reminds me of lychee. It has to be the passion fruit with quince that smells a lot like lychee on my skin. Then the rich rose, geranium with green notes remind me of a walk through a blooming garden after a gentle rain. On my skin this fragrance is floral without being too sweet, and the citrus notes in top remain throughout each layer keeping it very fresh. My Burberry really opens slowly allowing each layer to linger and be enhanced by the next. I have to say, I sprayed it in the morning a by mid-afternoon I could still smell the floral and greens in heart coming through. Finally, after about five hours I could detect the leather in the base--very gently and very softly. Leather can sometimes smell synthetic, but the rose and amber blended in the base really help to keep this note soft. My Burberry is romantic but modern and sexy but composed. A perfect blended balance of everything I love in a fragrance. So glad I discovered this lovely scent and think it will stay in my collection as a year-round favorite!!

SailorV

The 'garden after the rain' promo text is really well fitting for My Burberry EDP.
It has a very lush, wet feel, almost syrupy in texture, but not in sweetness, if that makes any sense. It's also very floral, I can really smell the sweet pea, rose, geranium and freesia notes. The rose is a fresh and dewy one, not soapy or powdery and definitely no dry and dusty potpourri rose. I get something fruity, too, but I'm not sure if it's quince. To be honest I don't have a lot of experience with quince in general. The fruit in this smells like a mix of ripe peach and something more tart and tangy. Maybe it's a very ripe quince?
Patchouli is a good counterpart to the florals here. It gives a hint of sharpness and earthiness, but it's not too pronounced.

I like this fragrance surprisingly well. A blend consisting mainly of different florals without any white flowers doesn't sound particularly interesting to me, those often smell a bit random and undefined to me. So it took me a while to even try this on my skin - but I'm happy I did, it's great!
To me this is something I'd like to wear on rainy spring, summer and early autumn days, and maybe even as an alternative to warmer and sweeter perfumes in winter. Kind of a floral allrounder that also performs really well on my skin.

PS: What's up with the huge note list on here? I think this has less notes officially.

Emilee1978

I've grown to love this, it smells like a fancy body product or something, maybe body wash? It's very strong, my friend yelled at me when I picked her up to go to dinner that the car reeked, LOL. The only Burberry I like, all the others have some prominent note that I don't like, it might be the peach. I find it mature but not "old-lady", even though I hate that term.

Soofiya

I have my burberry black and I like it so I was open to the idea of recieving original my burberry in swap.I'm usually not in my floral mood during fall and winter but it has a lot of very positive reviews and an intresting pyramid so I was expecting to like it but it was a huge dissapointment for me!I felt it's too light,a watery floral fruity.though I agreed it smells like nothing else, still it felt dull and boring
Usually in this cases I put the perfume which has dissapointed me in a dark corner of my wardrobe and go for it after couple of months to give it other chances but about my burberry I acted differently.I tried it every single day since I recieved it as if it was a puzzle and needed to be solved and finally, after about a week,I'm starting to appreciate it more
My burberry is not a linear fragrance and it's as complex as it's numerous notes suggest.so now I have to confess that it's far from boring.it's first phase is lovely.if it stayed like that we wouldn't face a problem and I could like it as a simple, pretty fruity floral.it's opening phase is sweet.not sugary or surapy sweet,it has fruity sweetness.I'm happy that I can't pickup much citruses.it's all about quince, sweetpea and rose on my skin.quince is one of the rare fall fruits which I like and eat a lot and here, they've done it very well.but this delightful scent of quince and sweet, colorful flowers doesn't last long and something ruins it for me:patchouli
First I blamed leather and violet because I could detect something like what ruined miss boucheron's drydown but now, after a week of trying,I can see that it's patchouli which takes away sweetness and covers quince and florals.I can see that a lot of people like the musty vibe it gives to scent.yes it makes my burberry non-sweet,more adult and better suited for fall but I can tolerate patchouli, just when it's followed by a syrupy, intense sweetness and it's not the case here.so it's first phase is a big yes for me,while it's middle phase is a big no.things change to better as it dries down.patchouli calms down and lets florals to showup a bit.freesia, musk and a light patchouli are what I can detect the most in it's drydown and there's a far whisper of sparkly flowers and fruits of the opening which I sometimes can feel.drydown is good.I can't say that I like it a lot but I don't dislike it either
Now after a week of trying I can see that my burberry is not for me,you can't win all and I have to stick to brit edp and london as MY burberrys.I'm glad that I gave it time, now I can see why it's loved by so many people.it has it's own character but doesn't try to be strange or extraordinary.it's refined without being old and is very easy to wear,it has freshness without being citrusy or summery and it has some sort of calmness
I need a fragrance to be way more floral to see it as a garden scent but I can see why people call it a garden after rain scent,I can feel it's wet soil thing too
Unlike my first thoughts I don't find it watery and weak anymore.it lasts long enough, sillage seems to be soft to moderate but people around seem to notice it.so it has acceptable sillage while being inoffensive
I don't think I will wear it much but I may like it more in future

Adoro!!

When I felt this fragrance, it was love the first spray, I had no doubt I needed it. Although I love London, my burberry and my 2nd favorite of the house, they really manage to print a lot of elegance in their fragrances, in this I feel sweet but without the citrus from London, if in London I see a tall woman in an English coat, I see an woman with a dressed very elegant and black, high shoes, discreet but very elegant jewelry, a red lipstick, an air of mystery. Love!!

Did I read this correctly???

There is 900 ml of this perfume available.

Almost one Liter????

Do they want us to drink this?

Nuitdenoel

Gorgeous. Reserved. Classic.
The first time I sampled this, I was not impressed. Today, I walked out of the store with 90ml! While I will need to live with My Burberry for a few days, the hours I have been wearing it have been pleasurable.

My Burberry is a beautiful floral, sheer but rich, in a way that seems like a contradiction but works. On my skin, the lovely, cold top notes last about an hour before fading into the rich, woodsy mid-notes. The quince and lime are most noticeable on me in the mid-notes. By hour four, it is the typical woody drydown that my skin seems to enhance in Burberry perfumes.

At this point, on this cooler, cloudy day, I am not smelling patchouli or spices. If you’ve smelled Burberry London, you have an idea of the direction My Burberry goes, but My Burberry is less tart, more floral, better blended, and overall a little more in the “classical” perfume sense.

I agree that this works best in cooler weather. While I was not impressed back in the summer, I find it charming and delightful now. Projection is fantastic for about three hours, gradually tapering off to right above my arm. Sillage is also grand; my son said he could smell my perfume after I left the room.

My Burberry is not ground breaking, or challenging, or filled with highly unusual notes (although I think this is the only quince perfume I own) but it is so well done. The quality is evident, it does not smell like a rush job, it is perfect for what it is.

Priyadarshini

I bought this perfume after reading a lot of reviews because of the big price tag associated with it and I am glad that I did. This perfume makes me smell classy, sophiosticated and sexy. It has this rosy sweetness yet musky elusiveness in it which makes you smell like a mysterious lady.

An evening gown, dusky eyes and 2 whiffs of My Burberry is all you need to turn evenings romantic. I would highly recommend it as a wedding perfume as it is definitely a keepsake.

The bottle is a beauty in itself and that rich smell can linger on clothes for days...specially woolens and silks.

violetstorm

i consider this scent a sharp floral scent with a dash of spice :) on me i get citrus....spice...& rose.....i do like it so far but its just a neutral scent to me.........it is a bit strong though so watch how many sprays lol :)

***update*** after having this on for a few hours -4 plus hours ....well its going in my dislikes :( unfortunately it was not a good dry down.............smells very alcohol 'y & has a weird medicine or chemical smell with the drydown.............. BUT on a good note my burberry black is awesome........very rich & creamy :)

mariamarouli91

This scent could be an everyday staple for crisp, wet, cold, rainy fall and winter days. That's a floral bomb, very powerful and potent. If you don't like florals, you probably don't like it. Spray with moderation as it can be suffocating. A little amount of 1-2 sprays is more thn enough. It's also a very chic perfume, very suitable for meetings, job interviews, office, formal events. Neither sexy nor daring. Just chic, feminine, floral and aristocratic. I imagine a rich woman with a nude or grey cardigan wearing boots and holding a big umbrella walking down the wet streets of london after rainstorm, and next to her there are gardens with wet soil and flowers. For me, amazing sillage and performance and very cute bottle.

Nina.84

A cheerful fragrance full of charme. It's a particular one because it's perfect for an everyday wear but in the same time this is a fragrance absolutely perfect for important occasions (marriages, job events, meetings). This is a floral perfume but it's much more of this. Ther is a certain sweetness and a comfort roundness about it. For me it's addictive! After the first spriz I really can feel the sensation of a wet garden after rain in London... but after this step, the fragrance become warmer. I really love the final fase. For me it's a chic and feminine fragrance and I feel very classy and confident while I'm wearing it.

Roxanne25

My Burberry is so... British. Not sexy, but absolutely feminine. It is strong and overpowering but at the same time keeps a distance. Totally floral, it really evokes a picture of well maintained garden after rain, the aroma of the flowers floating in the wet air.
For this reason I can use it only in the gray autumn days when it just feels.. right, I guess.
Good staying power, but has to be applied light-handed or flowers may suffocate you.
One of a kind and a nice addition to my collection.

Pmy

I really love the opening of this scent however this just doesn't last on my skin.

perfume_infatuated

Unmistakably a Burberry blend: mature, unconventional, and tangy. I find the smell one-dimensional, loud, bold, and shockingly perfumey.

Overall it's sweet-sour-fruity-floral, closer to classic perfumes, and better for fall and winter. Probably it's not safe for blind buying, and may not be a safe choice to gift away unless having a good reason.

sweet and floral. it's not a perfume to blind buy but quite attractive. I'm more to a gentle, soft scent but sometimes I feel attracted to this. Like asking you to go "girl, don't be shy, you can do it." perfect for cold weathers but I wont dare to use on a hot day.

This is my current signature scent and I find this a true masterpiece. It's a perfectly balanced floral with some sweet notes. Also long lasting. Another Francis Kurkdjian masterpiece. However, I find it a little mature and I think my younger self would not like it (I'm 31 years old)

This is SO good. SO GOOD. I received a tester of this in a bag after I purchased a different scent (Givenchy Very Irresistible) and put it in my purse for the days I forget to wear any fragrance.

Pulled it out one day when I had a two hour commute to a different office and wanted something to sniff on while I was mindlessly driving. WOW. This is fresh and creamy. Like freshly washed skin sweetened with soft, white florals. I purchased a full bottle the very next day.

Wearing this today, I'm still in awe of how well it suits me. I close my eyes, sniff my wrist and imagine myself in a my favorite PJs, freshly lotioned and slipping into my bed in the spring or summer. We use silk sheets when it's warm outside, and this perfume blossoms in the heat. 100ml may not be enough for the amount of love I feel here. I need more!

AMBRA GRI

Definitely a gorgeous floral. One of the most beautiful, glorious floral openings I have ever smelled. Plus, has a multi flower and ingredients approach- so specific to the 90 es, still, is a very classic perfume. But noone will ever surpass the best floral ever created- Bvulgari pour femme. Every time i smell this one, it's just unbelievable feminine, light and intense. I'll stay with this one when craving for flowers.

My Burberry is the perfect rose scent that I didn't know I wanted until I had it. My Burberry smells very expensive and sometimes you just want to smell expensive! I love to smell uncut roses on the bush. I bury my face in the rose and drink in the scent. This is the only perfume I've found that gives me the same luxurious sensation of smelling a most perfect rose. There's definitely the element of rain on rose petals that prevents My Burberry from being too heady and heavy. The sweetpea is also very pretty but doesn't spoil the rose. Truly a beautiful perfume for those who love roses and heady, perfect floral scents.

Gmstrack's review was spot on. This is a bit generic but does scream designer perfume (well blended and doesn't turn into a soapy/chemical mess after a few hours of wear). Normally, I would just throw a like to this kind of generic florals but this is so refined and beautiful that it borders on a love for me. After all, it's hard to do something original with florals as the industry has been tapping into the genre way before the other types of fragrances. This one does the trick in terms of elegance and quality though. I really do not get all the hate. Would you hate on a perfume solely for lacking originality? So much negativity out there.

Burberry fragrances and I seem to get along quite well. I consider them all to be very classic, chic and elegant. My Burberry is fast becoming one of my favourites from this brand.

My Burberry is a tart floral on my skin with bold notes of rose, geranium, quince and sweet pea. It's a grown-up scent in lots of ways and is definitely not for the faint of heart. The rather intense throw that this fragrance emits is possibly the reason why it has received so many dislikes on this forum. A few spritzes really goes a long way.

I adore the scent of roses, especially when it smells jammy and rich. My Burberry is a rich, heady rose fragrance in lots of ways, however the rosiness has been tamed by the somewhat sour quince accord and other heavy floral notes such as the geranium and freesia. It's a slightly better rose scent than Burberry Body.

My Burberry is a cold weather scent in my opinion. If I owned a bottle of this fragrance I would either wear it to the office paired with my corporate attire or whilst out shopping with friends or my fiancé.

I am keen to test this fragrance a little more over the coming Winter months so that My Burberry and I can become better acquainted with one another. I am confident that My Burberry will one day make its way into my collection.

Out of all the perfumes that I have, this one brings back the most memories for me. My Burberry smells like my first semester in law school.

This is such a unique scent, I've never smelled anything like it before and I don't understand why some people hate it so much. It really does smell like a garden after the rain. It's a realistic smell of wet flowers and wet grass. I am normally not a big fan of florals but this is an exception. I love this perfume, I am not sure if I would buy it again because I am constantly looking for something new but this is for sure a special one for me. I will keep the bottle when I run out of it because as I said before, smelling it brings back so many memories.

I recently received a sample of My Burberry by Burberry from the local Macy’s, stuffed it in my bag, and promptly forgot about it. To be honest, I was not that excited to try it and figured that I would save it for a rainy day when I had nothing better to do. Anyway, when I finally did get around to trying it on, I was pleasantly surprised and regretted not doing so earlier. The fruity, acidic opening quickly transitions to a green, fruity-floral. There is a prominent rose note that reminds me of shampoo from the 1980s, but the overall effect is quite pleasant. The aquatic aspect of the fragrance is not salty nor drenched in melon—it is more of a dewy, mountain spring accord. The fruity aspect adds a brightness that nicely ties in with the floral notes, lifting the composition off the skin. To me, My Burberry does not (literally) smell like “an English garden after the rain”, but it successfully evokes the fantasy.

Final verdict: My Burberry is not original or groundbreaking, but the mission was accomplished by the perfumer, Francis Kurkdjian, who consistently produces simple, yet intelligent compositions for the contemporary market. I would recommend this to someone who enjoys fragrances that are “fresh” and feminine, or to fans of fruity-florals, springtime florals, and aquatic florals. I would not recommend My Burberry to the budget conscious, because there are alternatives out there for a fraction of the price.

I've always been puzzled by why My Burberry has such lukewarm reception by this community.

I often change my opinion on perfumes I own as I wear them over time. I've had this one for 1.5 years and I've always liked it and still do. I guess I don't see what's not to like about it.

It's very floral, with some rather unusual notes for a floral mainstream perfume, but I find it really refreshing, clean, classy, and elegant.

On a spectrum of warm to cool, it errs on the 'cool' side. Perfect for a rainy late summer day.

Without being gourmand at all, there's an almost edible quality to this one. It's because it's really natural smelling. My Burberry gives me no synthetic, overpowering chemical headache.

Sillage is perfect - 2 feet and longevity is quite good. I haven't noticed a strong evolution in the scent personally, but it works in this case because even if it's somewhat linear in wear, its complex enough that i'm not bored.

i'm impressed by how well blended this is given how many notes are in there

A nice counter piece to Mr. Burberry, but more refined and sweeter. I think it’s lovely. Not just because I’m a nostalgic fan of Burberry, but this is nicely done. It’s a London flower garden dressed up in gold and white silk. It’s both romantic and outdoorsy. It smells like something you’d expect to recognize, but it doesn’t come across as common and predictable. It maintains its own identity. I think it’s lovely. 7/10

Reading notes I was ready to dislike this. Got it as a free sample, almost tossed it, so glad I didn't. The dry down is suductive. This scent is very non linear on me. The opening florals are a bit stuffy for my taste, but after an hour it is much more musky and I just love it. Francis Kurkdjian created another winner in my book. Try this on skin, it does incredible things. Also this lasts 10 hours on me, and got compliments for my coworkers and spouse.

I picture a young Audrey Hepburn in black skinny jeans ans a fluffy white angora turtleneck, big badass sunglasses and flat ballerina shoes. Definitely not me :)

polkadot27

earthy, musty, timeless, classic- smells of dry floral and fruits with a musky spicyness. It is sexy and sophisticated but in a down to earth- no effs given kind of way. It suits a woman who is one of the boys, dresses casually and is down to earth but still sophisticated and mysterious somehow. I like it,it is unique- but it is so expensive here in the UK compared to the other burberry fragrances. If this was cheap- it would be my signature haha i feel this perfume is me.

Lasts absolutely forever on my suede jacket but half on hour on my skin- love the smell - sexy but earthy and musty whilst still being feminine- what more could one want?

overall 8/10

I'm a fan of Burberry fragrances, I haven't come across one I didn't enjoy, and this one is no exception. It is one of my current favorites. It smells like a country-side garden after a rainfall...it has that nostalgic, cool misty vibe to it. I love that. Romantic, graceful and chic, but also laid-back and comfortable. Versatile enough for all year round wear, maybe just not for hot, sweaty days. Timeless clean scent. Females of all ages and from all walks of life would enjoy this. My only complaint is that it does not last as long as I'd like it to, 5-6 hours and I can barely smell it anymore. The throw is moderate, which is fine for everyday wear. 'My Burberry Black' is superior in terms of longevity, that one lasted over 12 hours on me with a bigger throw, but it's missing that misty, nostalgic feel that I fell in love with in the original.

lydiagillett

Blind bought this and I am just not feeling it. It stinks. It smells like rotten grass. Could it be my skin chemistry? I just can't tolerate it at all. Swaps very welcome!!!!

applestrudle

I really like the bottle - very well designed.

mirul

Beautiul frag. well blended floral huge lid with bow. so cute

turtle91

I'm disappointed in this perfume. I expected it to have a classy smell like Chanel since Burberry markets itself that way. It does not smell bad but it smells generic and I'm already bored of this type of scent.

babodoeji

Blind buy it for 49.99 (3oz bottle) at Costco . Im in love with it. Pretty similiar vibe to Chloe which is my signature scent. I had 2 burberry bottles before (sport and tender touch) but this perfume is ♡♡♡♡

pinky2510

Still can't stand for the first note, too much floral and citrus for me. I have to wait till the dry down to get rose and patchouli, and musk at the end. Love it!

Anyway wearing a scent without exicitement at the beginning is not a pleasant. 3 hours to reach the stage sigghhhh...

Michelle12345678

I hate this. The patchouli is too strong and dominates the other notes. The main notes I'm getting here are patchouli, roses and sweet pea.

Beams

It's definitley ME in the bottle! That's how I see myself and my life with the smell, I was searching for you for SO LONG!
Floral fruity sweet, but not too heavy; fresh, but not menfully, citrusy; but not sour. It seem has a note of fresh glance magazine.
I discovered this perfume on the run before flight in the airport (I don't even remember which city), just grabed the promo paper with My Burberry on it, so I was thinking that the Glance note was going from paper, but next time a sprayed it on me and it was rexactly what I expected.
Very expensive scent, best company for silk, fur, leather.
It will be a good mix with Be Delicious DKNY.
There are not so many lovers of My Burberry, but the fact makes this perfume even more precious and special for me.

snoopyQ

This is pleasant in the begining but I do not like the drydown AT ALL.
It turns musculine on me and I do not enjoy that. For some reason I do not find it fresh smelling, I do not know what it is but this did not work for me.

dyaver

I absolutely love the bottle and I really wanted to love the perfume. I tested it 3 times and still max what I can give it is a "like". It is a unique fragrance though, I can smell it in the street and I know for sure that someone's wearing My Burberry. Definitely would make a good signature. What I pick up from it is mostly rose, citruses and spicy freesia and they turn a bit soapy on me which I don't like. But in general it's a very sophisticated, uplifting, graceful and feminine fragrance.

Pez_Enelrio

I dont get the garden smell which many mentioned below, however I have never smelled an english garden most probably:) BUT when I first smelled it felt like I am lying on a white leather couch, drinking my morning coffee enjoying the weak fall sunshines. It is exclusive and elegant and dull in a good way

KmiluK

I get the sweet pea, freesias and fresh citrus straight away and there in the background a hint of patchouli but there is something odd about this floral fragrance. It IS like a wet garden. Well enriched flower bed soil after a downpour. Cool. Green. Elusive. Not your normal sweet floral. I like it. I was lucky to be given some by my son as a birthday present in a bottle with my Initials engraved on the front. The lid does look like a huge button made of horn when viewed from above. Typical Burberry eye for detail.

sarahvigne

Uplifting for my mood, charming and happy. The flowers are beautiful in this garden. One to buy for a gift, a safe bet, but not different enough to keep me interested.

AveParfum

My Burberry kind of reminds me of Chloe EDP in the sense of--what's not to like? This is a very pleasant, feminine, classic and classy fragrance. The notes that really jump out at me are sweet pea, freesia and greens. I guess there is a soft, synthetic musky undertone, and I like perfumes like that. Some might find the freesia-type florals a bit screechy, but I like them. I honestly don't notice any natural rose in this perfume, if there is rose in here it seems like an aromachemical.

Bottom Line: My Burberry is really nice. It is perfect year-round, in any weather, and for any occasion. Great sillage and longevity to boot.
