Best citrus fragrance in my collection, on par with Dolce & Gabbana's classic Pour Homme EDT minus the wood background (replaced by musk). If you like lemon/bergamot this is your number one choice. Potency, however, is a bit disappointing: expect anywhere between two to three hours of decent performance and sillage. Reapply as needed. Great for hot summer days…

Between CDNIM EDT, Supremacy NOI, and L’Aventure, I think enjoy L’Aventure the most.

L’Aventure is a take on the fruity batches of Aventus, it dries down a little smoky but nowhere near as much as CDNIM. I also get slight similarities to Terre D’Hermes Eau Givree, it’s something about the citruses used here.

Once it dries down, it’s almost indistinguishable from my 2021 Batch Aventus.

One of the best Aventus clones period.

Henchman21

I took a chance and just bought a bottle of it to see if it really was an excellent clone of Aventus, and as it turns out this is the best one I've smelled so far. It's very similar to Aventus, even though it lacks the signature pineapple, birch ,and oak moss. However, the juiciness of the citrus comes across as something reminiscent of pineapple. And the generic woody notes mixed with incense recreates some of the birch's smoky and leathery qualities.
Overall, it's great. The performance is maybe a bit below average, I get 6 hours longevity with 3-4 of those giving a nice amount of projection. But for the price I have don't have an issue with that, I can just load some into a travel atomizer and reapply if I feel like it.

Just tested it at Notino. I have CDNIM LE & EDP. My God there's a big difference between them! L'aventure is smooooth, woooody, creamy, citrusy, CDNIM all of them are chemical bombs! Nobody who would have them side by side would chose cdnim. Well done Al Haramain!

Me lembra o Dior Homme Sport 2021.

Comparing the two directly, the opening is similar to Aventus but the dry down has no smoke, less birch, and is more musky and linear, which makes me a bit sad since those are my favorite aspects of both Aventus and CDNIM. The citrus opening is really nicely done for such an inexpensive fragrance, not harsh or "floor cleaner" like at all, and it seems extremely well made with excellent packaging concerning both the box and bottle. The performance lacks a little IMO compared directly to Aventus and CDNIM, but over applying at this price point is not too much of an issue.
If you desire a more mellow Aventus-DNA type fragrance that's mass appealing with a nicer opening and is over spray friendly, this is the one to pick. But if you don't mind a way more synthetic top note, I personally find it more worth it to wait for the dry down from CDNIM. The original Aventus is just the best of both.

vikingboy777

It's a good well blended fragrance in my opinion. From the initial spray you get a fresh burst of juicy citrus fruits this carries on to the mid and drydown where birch and moss make their appearance.
Unfortunately sillage and longevity is poor which is a shame because this fragrance could have been outstanding especially at the price point. But it's a very well put together fragrance and extremely similar to Aventus but juicier and fruitier.
It's a thumbs up from me 👍

I received my L'Aventure 2 days ago form Amazon. I would not normally purchase scent from Amazon due to the real possibility of getting a fake...but who fakes knock offs, right?

Anyways...the juice smelled the part when just smelling the juice from the bottle, did not apply, smelled awesome though. Then I actually wore it for the first time yesterday. I work in a office environment, have my own office and a small number of staff.

Sounds weird, but my coworkers and I discuss my scent hobby regularly, knowing that I wear scents daily. As with anything...opinions vary on which fragrances smell good on me and the ones that unfortunately do not. When I wore the L'Aventure yesterday, I applied as I would normally, applying as many sprays as I would normally do prior to going to my office for this type of fragrance. I could smell the fragrance just after applying it, however, within the 20 odd minutes or so that it takes to get to my office, I no longer could smell anything but a slight surface scent. I went through the day without anybody asking or commenting on a good or bad verdict as it applies to the fragrance. Thought that perhaps I did not apply an adequate amount of fragrance before leaving the house yesterday morning. I know the phenomenon we refer to as "nose blindness", that's not the case here. I did not apply heavy nor near my face or chest, for that very reason...so I intentionally do not do allot of sniffing of a fragrance as I don't enjoy the "nose blind' phenomenon. I know what I do to prevent that from taking place.

When I got home yesterday evening, I applied 3 strong, full sprays, onto the back of my left hand. In less than an hour...I could barely get a surface scent to happen. Can't figure it out, so I'm asking the Forum for advice.

Does anyone know of a formulation/batch issues with L'Aventure recently. by chance? I've heard that type of rumor lately, wondering if it held any truth. Any advice is appreciated folks.

Regards,
HardHeadedScot

Overly strong harsh and synthetic citrus opening, with excessive musk on the drydown
Really smells smoky and like body odour
Definitely not a great blind buy, but some people really like this

This perfume is very well blended and a very consistent one. It's rich fruity and at the same time woody. The word "consistent" is important here because I have other Creed clones (CDNIM EDT, Supremacy and L'aventure Intense) that have different aroma depending on the envirommental factor. If it's cold weather, all of them smell chemical. Their cap smell is different than the real juice. On all of them, I have to wait at least 1 hour before the perfume develops into something "good".

THIS ONE, you put it, you smell quality from the first second. You smell the cap, you smell the real juice. You can put at -10 C degree or +40 C degree weather - it's same aroma. This is consistency and I'm very confident wearing it on all occassions.

If you can't decide between the clones:

Supremacy Sylver: Sometimes smells like smoked bakon (it's mentionned many times in their reviews). Cold and humid weather gives a bit of chemical smell, needs time to develop.
CDNIM EDT: Also cold weather gives lemon cleaning product smell. Needs time to develop.
L'aventure Intense: Very similar to this one. Despite the "intense" version, it has slightly lower performance and the pineapple note is lower quality. It gives 2000s vibe. It's like they tried to improve the original but ended up ruining it. I do not suggest the "intense" version.

About performance and sillage, it goes like this.
1st: Supremacy Sylver, 2nd: L'aventure, 3rd: CDNIM EDT, 4th: L'aventure intense.

Overall, this one is the best. I only miss the leathery vanilla note from the original Creed. :)

pilotdc

Testing for the first time here. I get woody citrus at first spray.
20 minutes in, it dries down and I'm getting a corn accord... Not popcorn, like fresh uncooked corn cut off the cob. After sampling a couple hundred fragrances in my life, I gotta say, that's a new one for me.
Half an hour later, that accord fades into what we know Aventus smells like. Maybe a bit sweeter.
It performs better than the OG, I can say that much. The drydown smells kinda mossy even though that's not a listed note. I think it's a good frag if you like the Aventus style.

Saki3

I'm trying to liking it because everyone loves it, it seems. I gave it time but nope, it's too manly and too dry for a woman. It's just zero attractive. Smells like if you rub leaves of some plant with your fingers, grassy, green, citrusy. No gentle floral scents, no sweet fruity scents. Just dry and choking

weslovesfrags

this is one of the best smelling fragrances i’ve ever smelt it smells extremely high quality for its price point and almost identical to aventus don’t think about any other aventus clone and get this one and thank me later, the bergamont elemi and lemon gives off a pineappley lemon smell in the air but does smell more lemony up close but definitely doesn’t smell like cleaner, smells like a high quality citrus fruity smell

Biglou88

Just got this today and the opening is absolutely lovely. To me this dries down to cdnim edt its near enough the same honestly. Projects big for the first 40 odd minutes but then drops fast. Seeing as I got this for about the same price as cdnim I’m happy. Cdnim can get a bit much for me it just sticks like glue.

Edit: I sprayed this on some kitchen towel yesterday and it’s still very strong and present. Smells amazing

stefanjanum80

On my skin, this one lasts longer then aventus 😳. Smells very similar after a few hours 👍

Fuelz

Updated review: Smells like a toilet cleaner. Bad performance too.

BrandDC

More citrus freshness than the Aventus sample I have which is now a few years old. I prefer this to Explorer which lacks the citrus dominant freshness and seems to focus more on woody/fern notes.
I'm getting around 6 hours out of L'Aventure.

For those who own both; is it worth getting L'Aventure Intense if I own L'Aventure? What are the differences between the two in fragrance notes and longevity/sillage beyond the two Fragrantica entries?

jameslee

If you dont like the smokiness of Club de Nuit Intense Man, get this instead. Nice alternative for Creed Aventus, but if you dont mind the smokiness, just get Club de Nuit Intense Man that lasts and projects 100 times better. Bought it for very cheap, otherwise, it wouldnt be in my collection, 3/10.

Mr Inquisitor

This smells just like CDNIM, it just doesn’t last as long. Think of Jordan on the Wizards, or Boston Celtics Shaq.

ManilaDawn

I think I am in the minority when I say I have not smelled Aventus. Really. I live close to Neiman Marcus and I have sampled a lot of their fragrances … but not Aventus. I read that l’Aventure was/is a passable clone so I googled and found a discount seller online selling the 200 ml. for $65. Such a bargain!

I tried it and I immediately loved it. Sure, the initial blast is strong but it settles down to an almost-skin scent strength. Truly pleasant and muted. That’s what I thought at first. Until some people started to randomly comment that I smelled really good. (I must be having a nose fatigue, unable to smell it on myself.)

To me and on me, l’Aventure smells fruity-floral. I must say that it’s a FAR departure from my Oud and musk fragrances. I love its freshness! If I love it and people who can smell it on me love it, I need not ask for more.

Someday, when I get a chance to finally sample Aventus, I will. I might then have a firsthand scent test, comparing it to l’Aventure.

Now, what I essentially am saying is, I am not judging the humble l’Aventure versus the mighty Aventus … I am loving the latter for what it is, and not for how it approximates the former.

msinopoli78727

While it does smell good and like other Aventus clones, the performance on this doesn't hold a candle to CDNIM. Honestly, the only thing this has over CDNIM is the missing harsh opening. I will continue to reach for CDNIM over this every time simply because of the performance.

SniffDogg

Today I tried L'Aventure back to back against Club De Nuit Intense Man, and L'Aventure smelled better to me. Neither one is my cup of tea that I will continue wearing however.

To me CDNIM mostly only smells like bitter lime. L'Aventure has that very similar smell too, but balances it out with a more sweet lemon smell on top. I thought to myself that L'Aventure smells like CDNIM already dried down, with the addition of sweet lemon. L'Aventure is better balanced and smelling imho. I'm just a goofy German Shepherd that doesn't know a lot besides what I smell though.

Olddirtyhoodie

Just got this, smells like cocktail hour. Literally smells like a mojito or a sprite and vodka. Especially on the nose. As it settles the deeper robust scent come to the surface. I will say this scent projects and trails like crazy. Really I'd say leave for outings, events, dates, etc but if you want to make a big impression at the office, this isn't a bad option. Just don't be offended if someone says you smell like McDonald's Sprite.
Don't get me wrong I love this smell, very intense and refreshing but I think there will be some that don't "get it"

Timyoungn304

Idk if I’ve written a review on this one yet, but if I have here’s the follow up. I 100% agree with the review from the guy below this, Fuelz. I first got it about 3 years ago after seeing a video for “the king of all fragrances, creed aventus. So I did my research on clones and landed on Al Haramain’s L’aventure. Upon first spray it made me wonder WTF made this scent (profile) the best of all time. I kicked myself for spending the money, even though it was only like $32. It must’ve been a fresh batch and needed to macerate. Now it is definitely one of my top 5 in my collection. I’ve sampled a few batches of Aventus and this stuff is just as good smelling and far better in performance. If you’re looking for the best dupe this is 200% it.

Fuelz

I don't know about the performance yet, but I do know about the smell. When I first got it the smell was awful, it was harsh chemical citrus smell like other people have said. I sprayed it a couple of times and let it sit for a week and it's so much better. It's smoother, it's sweeter and more balanced. The citrus isn't intoxicating anymore and the forest-y smell is way less prominent. Smells nice maybe It'll get even better, but right now it's 4/5.

NDeed

True story of what happened while wearing this today....

Got this along with a few other frags about 6 months ago in a trade. It had only been sprayed a few times and opened with a brutally harsh chemically lemon smell. I let it set, wore it again a few weeks later; better. Waited a few more weeks, MUCH better. Haven't worn it in probably 2 months, put it on at 6:30 this morning, three sprays on chest, 1 hour later I'm barely smelling anything, but it does smell even better. 3 hours later I ran to the store and had a lady literally track me down to ask me what I was wearing because I was leaving a trail and she had to know what it was. Very surprised. 1) The smell really smoothed and 2) left a much better sillage than I would have ever expected.

I have many frags from niche, designer, and dupes and my last batch of unsolicited compliments were Tom Ford Noir Extreme, Mancera Cedrat Boise Intense, Mancera Red Tobacco, ALT Stallion (Layton), ALT Mohair (Green Irish Tweed) and now today, L'Aventure.

Univerzum

I don't understand some self-proclaimed experts here, who comment on almost every perfume, and in most cases they leave negative comments.
My question is do they have stuffy noses or are they just bad people?

L'Aventure Al Haramain Cologne/Perfume is very nice quality, longevity is excellent, sillage is great, the price is very affordable..

8/10

kaleb_mi20

Crazy how the rating is 4.23 at time of review 1/23/24 and almost all the reviews on the first page are trashing the fragrance.

YaGirlSniffsMe

Just picked this up. I am by no means a fragrance snob or anything like that I just like Aventus and want a cheaper alternative

With that being said this fragrance is a let down. Everyone was saying this is the best aventus clone and how it’s so beast mode but it was gone after about 4 hours on my skin. Asked my friend and his family if they would still pick up what I’m wearing and they said no after 4 hours and I over spray like crazy about 20 sprays no joke.

So far this is actually the worst clone of aventus I’ve tried. I’d pick up Armafs CDNI or adman supremacy silver before this.

Louis18

I don’t know why, but to me this smells like cigarettes mixed with lemon and leather.

ali_ghobadi64

L'Aventure by Al Haramain Perfumes is a fragrance that commands attention. With its opening notes of citrus and spicy elements, it offers a dynamic and invigorating start. The heart notes introduce florals and aromatic components, adding complexity to the composition. The base notes, featuring woods and musk, contribute to a warm and lingering finish.

Wiek_scents

L'Aventure is a very poor attempt to clone aventus. As soon as I sprayed one spray on my left arm in front of my friends we all hated it, let's start with the awful synthetic opening, the only thing I smelled was lemon, if the lemon was rotting in some ones basement for a week. After an hour of a headache inducing smell I washed a fragrance off my skin for the first time ever. I tried to wear l'Aventure two more times and it was still absolutely disgusting to my nose. I think I bashed it hard enough.
2/10

Coolwaterfan

I wanted to like this more than i do , it smells very similar to an aventus sample i got , the opening is very harsh and nauseating and reminds me a cleaning agents . The only “compliment” i got is when i got in a car after spraying 2 times is “who sprayed dettol “ /s , overall solid performance but not my taste .

Innocent_Cabbage

Not sure if I got a bad batch but mine just smells like bitter citrus, can't make out much of any other notes. Don't waste your money you just smell like a bad cleaning product.

LiterallyCan'tStopSniffin

Weak, mediocre and citrusy attempt at Aventus. Really does smell like a cleaning product. Avoid!

Azadak47

Don't waste your money on this, all you smell is bad citrus the kind you have in cleaning spray. It lasts no longer then 2 hours and 0 compliments. Maybe I got the bad batch, waste of money, I got cheaper stuff then and I love it.

J.raphael03

This has got to be the worst-performing fragrance I have ever owned.
I couldn't understand how so many people can preach about beast performance while others preach about no performance. I still can't, how are the variances so steep? I wanted to pick up the fragrance because I have heard great things about it and after owning it the fragrance does smell good, but as I said above this is the worst-performing fragrance I have ever bought. I purchased the 6.7oz since it was only an extra $8 but no amount of fragrance can help this product.

After application, L'aventure smells good but as quick as 20-40 minutes later it is a skin scent then another 10+ minutes after it is gone. I've tried over-spraying on skin, I've tried over-spraying on clothes, I've tried layering with it to help the fragrance last (The fragrance I layer with always remains yet L'aventure is completely gone), I've tried using tester strips to see if the fragrance would last because maybe I was going nose blind but, no it vanishes on them as well.

I think this fragrance does smell good and the quality is good as well, but no matter how good a scent smells if it doesn't last an hour it is simply useless in my opinion.
I am dumbfounded because I read about fragrances not performing on this website all of the time, and I would always think people who would write a review like mine would exaggerate the situation.

I love the scent so hopefully, if I allow it to macerate the performance will get better but in all honesty, I have very little hope.

Scent: 8/10
Performance: 1/10
Versatility: 10/10

Update: The fragrance surprisingly lasts on clothes now but the sillage is non-existent, you have to be 3 inches away to catch a whiff, and as the wearer of the fragrance I can't smell it throughout the day. I think it is about time I give up on this fragrance.

Sold and I do not miss it, I cannot recommend this fragrance because the performance is abhorrent.

3NO7

Smells like Aventus. Easy wear. Inexpensive.

Doesn’t smell juvenile.

A nice dumb reach Aventus clone. Throw on and go.

Really like the feel of the rubberized cap, also.

OBrien1510

Opening is a bit of a horror show imo. It's obviously got some citrus and pineapple but it's got what I can only describe as a glue note in it also but maybe I just need to let it macerate a little bit as you sometimes need to do with these clone brands. After 30 minutes or so though the glue note is gone and it smells almost exactly the same as Aventus. Longevity seems pretty good and sillage is about average (which I don't mind because I hate room filling type fragrances)

craig.montour

This stuff is cheap and it gets compliments. Hands down and it's that simple. 2 sprays and it's a beast. One chick said she smelled me in a office like 15 feet away 😂 (of course I was nose blind and could no longer smell it). You don't always have to smell like a Smokey iris turd to smell good. If your not a Cologne snob like 1% of the world then this is money!

K_Wood_22

Dominant notes in the opening are sour citrus, similar to lemon leaf or citronella. No pineapple.
Faint musk and earthy woods in the drydown, to balance it out.
It smells basically clean, but not very appealing. Received zero complements while wearing this.
You could say it's in the same fragrance ballpark, but it does not smell the same as Aventus or Explorer.
Roughly 3-4 hour longevity, with low projection after the first hour.
Best suited for warm weather, during the day.

Not a fragrance I enjoy wearing, at all. I gave away my large bottle after a few wears over the course of a year or so.

grayfrantica

My most complimented. Sorry, naysayers. An absurd value.

Tsobe

I've used Aventus for years, I stumbled upon a official sample of this so I figured why not. This is nowhere where Aventus, unless I knew this was a dupe I'd have never guessed. I don't understand the high scores, this is harsh and synthetic and quite unpleasant to me. If you long for Aventus, just save up a while a get the real deal - this most definitely isn't it.

RoPro

Smokey, fresh, citrus/pineapple mix is the best way to describe this (which most would say is pretty much Aventus). Mid projection and short longevity on skin yet lengthy on clothes but a great scent for a great price, £35 - £48 depending on supplier.

Scent: 8/10
Projection: 5/10
Longevity: 5/10

Whateverwhocares

I wanna hate this stuff but I can’t. Bottle screams “Resistance is Futile.” Spot on, slightly less subtle than Aventus, smokey Aventus clone. Up close, it’s even more indistinguishable from the inspiration. Better than a lot of batches.

Jqwalls

The reviewer below named Harpoleon must not own Aventus or have ever smelled it. This IS a clone of aventus in every way. Don’t get caught up on the notes listed on Fragrantica. This is insanely close to 2018 bottle of Aventus I own. It’s actually stronger but still not as strong as I would like but I just spray more since it is such a good value. The biggest drawback to this vs Aventus is the harsh top notes but It won’t bother you if you don’t stick your nose to it right away and it won’t smell that way to others so just spray and go. This is a solid alternative to Aventus and much better than Mont Blanc explorer imo especially in the dry down. I’ve smelled so many clones and this is truly the closest. I would bet money 99% of people would not tell the difference in a blind test of this and Aventus after a 10 minute dry down and most would probably prefer this because it is stronger.

Falc0n

Beautiful scent, good and cheap alternative of creed aventus and mont blanc explorer, longevity is poor but it is a good for everyday usage , opening is amazing like aventus but this dries down to a skin scent in couple of hours

Harpoleon

Im amazed this has to be said .... this is not an aventus clone in any way shape or form its amazing how many reviews are comparing the 2 saying how it's close but not spot on... they don't even have the same notes smh I'd bet my left n*t some youtuber told people it's a close clone smh 🤦

gglh99

Very much identical to CDNIM EDP, however less smokey during the initial hour or so, and missing the fruitiness in comparison.

No slouch longevity wise, but the projection is definitely tamed.

Tlevins23

This is a tricky one to wear, just like Creed, it’s not really for everyday wear unless you work at a fancy car dealership 😂. So, it smells very light on your own skin and to your own nose because it’s very strong but subtle. Be careful not to overspray; you can fill a room with just 3 sprays. The sillage or scent trail is what people like; it won’t smell great to you, but others will love it. It does give me that douchey dude in a Lamborghini vibe, though, for sure, so if that’s what you’re going for. I’ve gotten way more compliments from other fragrances. For the price, if you’re looking for a decent Aventus clone, go for it. Can’t beat the price. Also, try Amarf Club Nuit as well.

GoldDragon

Just order my one of Many (supermacy not intense & Cdnim limited ) love those as a aventus dupe.. still waiting for this to arrive.. by looking at the notes, this doesn’t have pineapple note listed? Isnt that’s the aventus dna?

fzs555

Al Haramain L'Aventure

I have been wearing this for a few days and find it to be a very weak sauce. Opening smells okayish, somewhere around the Aventus vein, but it is all lost within an hour, drying down into a weird synthetic powdery leather type of smell. I have sprayed this frag on skin and on clothes, staying mostly in an airconditioned environment, but it just does not satisfy. Don't believe the YouTube hype!

supersaiyanswagger

I feel like all the people that were dissatisfied with CDNIM hyped up this frag for reasons I cannot find. To me, it doesn't smell much like Aventus. To my nose, it feels like they tried to get somewhere between Aventus and Cedrat Boise, and the result was something pretty good but deceptive to people who want a clone. This smells quite dry and mature to me, more suited for an older crowd. Also has this Middle Eastern flare I can't quite pin point. If you're looking for the closest Aventus clone, I wouldn't recommend this. I consider this it's own thing.

melissa721

I actually prefer this over Aventus and at a more reasonable price point. The dry down is so intoxicating and smooth.

goiemarius

On my skin this starts as a low-resolution aventus clone, good sillage first 10 min. after 1 h- skin scent - maybe something like aventus. after 2 hours - it's cedrat boise 100% :)) but super skin scent, like a dried lotion. Nice
short experience . if you get it for under 25 bucks, it's ok. Not a good clone tho... I heard something about reformulations and law suits because it used to be that good. It's not. Aqua, perfume, citrenallol n stuff, but aqua before perfume? Is the essence too powerful? :))) Making room for the " intense" to justify extra 10 bucks? did I just pay for aqua ?

orvn

Ok, so when it comes to Creed Aventus clones L'Aventure have the exact same start for me when I smell from close distance, after some time Aventus is going more smoth and losing little bit of sillage staying natural when L"Aventure stays louder and little bit synthetic.
For me it is better option than Explorer or CDNIM. Only difference is a lack of pineapple notes. If You gave this one this slight soft pineapple note from Explorer or straight from Aventus it would create exact copy of Aventus for my nose. I smelled L'Aventure previous to ever smelling Aventus and I was amazed it is really that close. Not a 100% clone but 85-90 % close for most time. One of best fragrances for this money I ever smelled. Around 30 ml left in my bottle and I am sure I am gonna buy 200 ml and I will be buying and buying it again for sure. For like 2 hours is very loud on me. I think 6-8 hours on me easily. Complemented at work few times with a "WoW" reaction. Still not a 100% naturally smelling but way, waaay more natural than CDNIM and less sweat than Explorer or Aventus. Still so good clone.

Andy_Bandy

It's a good copy, no doubt about it. But the longevity in my case is pretty poor - max 2 hrs while sniffing my skin. I also have the Roberto Capucci clone and in all honesty, it's a beast compared to this one.

Stephen N

So... take Creed's Aventus, use lemony notes instead of smokey pineapple, and woody/nutty notes instead of a leathery birch note, and you pretty much have L'Aventure; a fresher take on the famed Aventus DNA, minus the spicy notes that some dupes have. The projection of it is mild, and I go anosmic to this after an hour, but the durability of this fragrance is FAR above it's price tag; I've had compliments on this one 8 hours after spraying, when I thought it had long since faded off.

This wasn't quite was I was looking for in an Aventus dupe, but it's servicable. I'll definitely be wearing through the bottle of this. Whether I buy another bottle of it is another question, as I still really like the tried-and-true formula for Aventus dupes.

kaleb_mi20

This is an amazing scent. Dont judge it too quickly. The opening is very acidic due to the lemon and bergamot, but it very quickly evolves into an elegant manly smell. its citrusy but also forest-y in an interesting way. It doesnt smell like vetiver or cypress, but it smells piney and resinous. Combined with the bright citrus it is very sophisticated and expensive smelling. It takes me back to when I visited Sequoia National Forest in the spring. Definitely buying another bottle when I finish it.

Old man-ish. Tried a lot of Aventus Clones. This one is woody, not birchy like aventus, much drier. And lacks sweetness. Rather buy Club de Nuit. I personally suggest Limited Edition Parfum but EDT is great as well. L’Aventure is not pleasant to me. Overrated.

7amalaw

smells good but is a bit overhyped. it last for around 6 hours, but the sillage is not that good. smells good but feels synthetic. Probably not going to repurchase it again. Instead, I'm gonna look for alternatives.

mixter99

I was in Warsaw, Poland and saw a Notino physical store (which I never knew even existed), I tried this bad boy in-store and BOOM ! Instant hit, i'll be buying this tomorrow. Fantastic price, amazing quality. CDNIM to me smelled very abrasive whereas this is smoother, woodier and has higher quality citrus in my opinion. I love how it's not too sweet as well and still has that masculine edge. 9/10

HDMIPlayer

Got this in place of Montblanc Explorer, which is my all-time favorite. I'm not in the wallet range for Aventus, but as a clone, I actually prefer L'aventure because of its price point. It's an eighth of the price of Aventus and less than half the price of Explorer and they all smell nearly identical. The citrus top notes are also reminiscent throughout the entire duration. Unlike other citrus prominent scents, I can smell the bergamot and lemon on this even after hours have passed.

My only contention with L'aventure is the bottle design. The atomizer sits low on the bottle and releases the fragrance in a wide cone, which ends up spraying the edge of the bottle. I recommend decanting this into a travel atomizer to preserve your mists.

#15 in my "Tour de Fragrance"
Just got this. Aventus clone? Well, the Aventus I got just last month was definitely a weaker concentration than I got four years ago. Not happy with it all. So, if you're comparing a 2023 bottle of Aventus to this stuff, still not close to my nose, with more than a few notes missing. I get zero fruit of any sort from this stuff, and after about an hour I get nothing except right on the skin a little bit of a carboard scent. I'm gonna put this one in the cupboard for now and see if it improves in a few months. I'm heading out, so I'm gonna freshen up with some Versace Man Fraiche, but as weak as the Al Hamarin scent is you couldn't call it layering.

naturebounty2

L'venture is an impressive fragrance that feels expensive but is affordable. The opening is a fresh, fruity citrus blend that smells great and projects well. After the opening, it becomes a musky sweet scent with a touch of woodiness and spice. The dry down is similar but without the excessive musk. Overall, it's a unique and sophisticated scent with above-average performance at a reasonable price. I'd rate it 8 out of 10.

Bros89

Better alternative to Aventus than cdnim.
I have cdnim limited edition parfum and it's still way too strong and chemical for me.
L'Aventure also has a lemon opening but it smells much nicer. Doesn't punch me in the face as much, which is a good thing. I sprayed it on my hand in the afternoon and I could still smell it the next morning, so good longevity.

JayReze

I received L'aventure on 3/31/23. What can I say about this fragrance. Well let's state the positive(s). It smells great. That fruity-citrus 🍋 blast is amazing. You can definitely smell that Creed Aventus DNA resemblance.
Now here are the negatives. The scent is extremely weak. It last maybe 4 hours tops on my skin. Projects for an hour then becomes a skin scent. Wsup with this weird square bottle that this juice comes in!?! L'aventure and Supremacy Silver both perform poorly imo. I heard L'aventure use to perform better back in the day. Maybe I should have purchased L'aventure intense instead.
I will let it set for awhile and see if it gets better with time.🙏

Edited: On 3/ 24/24
My bottle of L'aventure has improved tremendously. It smells so much better. The longevity has increased. I am pleasantly surprised. I remember reading another comment awhile ago that stated that this fragrance takes 9-12 months until it starts performing. I did not believe it was true at that time. I can definitely confirm that this is true now. It took 11 months for my bottle to smell more balanced and better. It took that long for the longevity to increase from 5 hours to 8 hours on skin and longer on clothes. Maceration is a real thing and it is definitely needed for the original L'aventure.

DustyMemphis

@FreddyK, There could be formulations, sure, but always remember, it's a sales trick, typically samples are stronger than the full bottle, simply to lure you in ;)

kaleb_mi20

A few people have mentioned a slight "green" vibe going on despite the notes being mostly light and citrusy. I am definitely picking that up. Could be the combination of resin and oak notes. @SmellGood11 describes it as "woodsy/resin/floral with a hint of lemon" which I think is 100% spot on. It smells like a resinous branch from a tree in the woods, but still light because of the citrus note. This is a truly beautiful scent that I would wear to a formal daytime event.

Be advised that the opening is indeed harsh as some have said, but give it some time to settle, and it will smooth out.
This review was written quickly after application, so I will have to come back and give an update on performance. Love the scent itself though.

FreddyK

Got it yesterday. This is a citrusy-fruity clone of Aventus. I remember when I got a sample of L'aventure a year ago. It smelled much better than the current formulation I received yesterday. The scent is pretty faint, not strong at all, and it disappears quickly. I'm not gonna say I'm pretty disappointed because I wanted to get L'aventure, and the scent is nice, but it hurts me quite much they did something with the juice once again. I'll let it macerate. If You're looking for an Aventus clone try something else.

Drakon

I've sniffed this parfume today at parfumery and what i think: pretty strong pineapple note (for my nose) not too harsh, a little bit, which is kinda OK. But, after that opening, overly synthetic smell comes to play. If you receive this parfume as a gift, might be OK for you. Paying any amount of money is wasted money IMO.

Apache1830

2022 Batch decant.
Very good, very fruity and airy, gourmand.
BUT !
Very weak, can barely smell it after 1 hour.
Tested it with 3 other Aventus clones, this one was by far the weakest.
Try maybe an older batch ? Don't know

Joalo

Great alternative to Creed Aventus, longevity is not good as CDNIM LE or Afnan intense, maybe 5-6 hours, but scent is very high quality. 200 ml tester bottle for 39.99 dollars at Joma, best bang for buck ever. Recommended

inFidel

@vihri, you're so pissed because the clone doesn't smell like the original? How about you calm your tits and buy the original Aventus then. Then you'll be crying about how much you paid for it. lol

Stoopid Phresh

I have a coworker that wore this I walked up to him assuming it was Aventus...Boy I was shocked when he told me about this- The opening is harsh but the mid & drydown is where the party is!

vihri

To all YouTubers and other sh*theads who hyped this up: here is a certain finger to you mofos.
Best Aventus clone my ass.

This is cheap juice that bears very, very faint resemblance to Aventus. The box is cheap plastic and looks kitsch, but that's not the point. Whoever claims this is better than Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man because it lacks the synthetic opening, check your nose. This has cheap lemon cleaner opening, it's just not as potent and metallic as the Armaf. Zero smoke, zero bite, zero Aventus feel. Sillage barely qualifies as medium, lasts just a few hours, better save your money and don't believe the hype about this.

So far, I have the Armaf and I have tried Montblanc Explorer, and only the Armaf passes for an Aventus clone, and even the Armaf lacks that magic je ne sais quoi that even the worst batch of Aventus has. But if you want one Aventus clone, forget about this joke of a juice and get the Armaf Limited Edition. Jeez, I'm pissed about buying this.

MoCheezePlz

Smells like someone just spiked my pineapple juice with 409 cleaner.

Fragrancee123

98% similar as Zara Vibrant Leather with better longevity.
PS: I Haven't smell Aventus.

Mister.Oli

This, this fragrance is immaculate. For the first 15 minutes you get an extremely sharp citrus, but once it dries down.. It's perfect. One of the best musky, smokey, citrusy twists you can find. I found a 200ml bottle for 60$, it doesn’t get much better than that. Very well blended and lasts a good 8 to 10 hours. As far as citrus fragrances go, this is my favourite.

Poccha

Never smell the OG Creed Aventus, but if this is the closest it gets to that, I think its overhyped (IMO). Smells fruity & woody to my nose, its good, but maybe to cloying for everyone around me (since I work in the office). Maybe its good to men but not to women. A good 3 sprays is enough for 4-5 hours.

Scent: 7/10
Sillage: 6/10
Performance: 7/10

googlebeener

Haven't smelled aventus but this is nice. Kinda reminds me of a lemon handsoap but more smokey.

Cassman

@Atremeshhad I would agree in relation to the CDNIM products but I believe Supremacy Silver performs more or less on par with L’Aventure.

Atremashhad

@Cassman doesn't perform as good tho

Cassman

If you are looking for a great clone of Creed Aventus then just pick up Afnan Supremacy Silver. Yes it was released prior to this frag and the intense version, but it is still truer to Aventus with the Black Current, Pineapple, etc., very natural smelling, and it is typically the same cost or cheaper than L’Aventure or the Extreme version. Supremacy Silver is also way smoother and more natural smelling than CDNIM.

mightygalactus

Got this as a blind buy based on some things I had read. An Aventus clone, but I feel like it has a different vibe to it. Sillage was good, and longevity was pretty good. All things considered this is a FANTASTIC value.

BootneyLee

Oh god yeah. This is it! My bottle of Aventus (6yrs old) is slightly more fruity, but doesn't perform anywhere near this beast. They are pretty much identical. This is much closer than CDNIM. Not as loud, but much more accurate. Performance is great. Blind buy approved. 👍

AstralMatrix

I agree with @hoffmanvp below. If you like that Aventus vibe but dislike the too lemony opening and too smoky drydown of CDNIM, I recommend L'Adventure, which smells more natural and is much more delicate.

It has the most beautiful opening of all the Aventus-y fragrances I own, including Montblanc Explorer. It is very sweet and juicy, which I love, but doesn't get chemical or synthetic after it settles.

If you dislike sweet fragrances, steer clear, though, because I can taste the sweetness of this beauty through my nose. Smells drinkable.

It's such a soft presentation, but doesn't instantly become a skin scent like Accendis Lucevera or Aubusson Plush Leather, the weaksaucest Aventus-y fragrances in my collection.

L'Adventure has more in common with Lamborghini Invicibile, another one I own, but smells more natural and is even smoother than that one. Longevity is similar; safe to overspray.

hoffmanvp

For some time I struggled with the Aventus DNA. I first bought CDNIM, but didn't enjoy how harsh it was but mostly how BITTER it was. I only ever loved the late drydown but I didn't want to wait like 5 hours to like the fragrance. Montblanc's Explorer I didn't feel much different about. This, though, is what won me over to the DNA altogether. L'Aventure is super fruity at the top. Incredibly juicy and I wouldn't even narrow it down to just pineapple but many fruits together. The blend feels so smooth in comparison to CDNIM and I don't find myself disliking any phase of this scent's lifespan. Longevity is decent but I wouldn't call it beast mode. Some say there's reformulation and that the intense is beast mode, but I have no direct knowledge on any of this. I wore this to Disneyland on a warm day, sprayed it early morning and could still get whiffs by sundown so this is no slouch. Price is insane for how quality this is. Like others I found a 200ml bottle tester for like $30. I personally recommend the 200ml bottle because the ergonomics are much better and the bottle is less awkward to spray. Haven't smelled Aventus directly so I can't speak on accuracy. Overall this is like a 9/10 fragrance and if I had to pick one signature frag, this would be it.

Kupcake84

A good clone. Probably my favorite from this house. The bottle is so unique and will look great in a collection. For the price you can safely blind buy without any reservations.

MY37

@Carbon318 is on target with my experience. I have Afnan Supremacy Silver and, CDNIM. I also sprayed this on before I walked into a local department store and sprayed Creed's current version. This is almost indistinguishable including the birch smokiness and with out the harsh citric opening of CDNIM. This is a total no brainer. People at work ask if I am wearing Creed to my surprise! CDNIM is also good but with a more subdued smoky element. Can't go horribly wrong with either one. Oh and one last thing this performs ALL the work day for me.

samudex

I tested this fragrance and it had a very nice duration on my skin. It has a distinctive green accent that I liked, I don't know how to call it, something like spearmint or pine. I would recommend it. It's supposed to be an Aventus clone, but I think this is better.

p3ta1z

Smell like pinesol which is something I blind brought to have something new in my collection.

Not fruity at all just pine all the way and with a little bit of smokiness to it.

I'm just here to buy clone of almost every famous brand house to try out for different occasions.

Not recommended for young people but for the older gentleman in their 30 and up. Can be use at any day and any time.

Updated 12/22: it's smell kinda of like Versace Eros in the air piney sweet instead of minty sweet weird but Im digging this now.

NckBlossom

This is it man, very close to CDNIM drydown with the bonus added creamy after taste…fresh and clean shaving cream vibe which is loved by all women. If you dig the Aventus dna this is the king! Less projecting than CDNIM but, at least for 4 hours it’s there..you feel it radiating and most importantly, the ultimate experience is smoother feels more expensive and better. Look no further people.

Sammbac

Bought as a blind buy gift for my son in mid 20s. I'm not sure what's wrong with my nose compared to all the other reviewers who find it to be much fruitier than woody. I'm not getting the lemon at all, just a very powerful woody punch .The fruit is there in the background in the drydown but still overwhelmingly woody with strong patchouli. It's nice but leaning towards a little mature, I'd say 40+ men. Reminds me of stuff my Dad wore when I was growing up so perhaps a little dated, not sure if my son is going to like it! Might be very different on him. I got a free sample of L'aventure blanche which is much more zingy and fruit based. I would say that one is more suited to a younger guy but hey what do I know.

daniel.strandberg.01

Bought a 30 ml bottle of Montblanc Explorer and a 1.2 ml sample of L'aventure

Pineapple is not listed as a note but it is definitely there, so there is no need to worry about that.

L'aventure in my opinion is Mont Blanc Explorer without the woodsy musky dry down, instead it stays fresh and fruity throughout with a better longevity, so if you like the opening of Montblanc Explorer you'll love this!

Perfect blind buy if you like the Aventus DNA (or the opening of Montblanc Explorer if you haven't yet smelled Aventus)

Atremashhad

its like a more citrusy type of Aventus instead of the pineapple you get citrus scent the dry down gest very close to aventus and then in the air its 90% the same
very good value for the price
fragrance lasts decently long and projects good worth it.

Mojojojo85

I will preface this by stating that I am new to the frag game but have always been the guy who goes to Ulta/Sephora/TJ Maxx/Marshalls with my wife and is constantly sniffing the testers and trying new scents to find "the one." Al Haramain L'Aventure is that for me.

I have always been chasing a certain scent that I catch in passing from time to time but am not the kind of guy to ask what someone is wearing. I have finally found "that scent". Whether that scent was the "King" Aventus or one of its many clones, I will never know but all I know is this is my favorite scent. I can speak from a somewhat unbiased place as this was a complete blind buy for me and it paid off. I had read a ton of reviews and watched a ton of review videos (shout out to curlyfragrance and Ash with gentsents) and this one always stuck with me. I finally decided to get it and I am not disappointed.

As far as my review goes...The longevity is great! I put it on at 6:30 in the morning and I can still catch wiffs of it at 8 at night and that is with me "sissy spraying it" with 1 spray on each arm and 2 sprays around the top of my shirt/neck area. The projection is nice and not overwhelming, just like most of the reviews are saying. It may not have the opening pineapple that Aventus is supposed to have but the lemon and bergamot come together quite nicely and almost have that pineapple scent on the dry down. Again, not too much and its dry down is a very nice lightly smoked citrusy aroma and carries a very masculine tone. Overall I give it a 9.8/10 only because nothing is perfect

I don't care if it is a clone and not the original. If you're like me and don't have cash to throw at frags but still want to be in the frag game then this is a great buy, hands down. Highly recommend.

SmellGood11

I had a vial of Aventus, a good batch too. It is very smokey, you can smell the pineapple, and it projects like a beast.

This L'Aventure on the initial spray gives an initial Aventus vibe. Is it pineapple? No. Is it smokey? No. It's the combination of the woodsy note, the jasmine, and patchouli. Both fragrances have those notes. But L'Aventure smells very different. If you smell it on your skin or shirt you can smell something much different. At first it smells floral, I couldn't pin point the other note though, but looking at the notes it is DEFINTELY the elemi note. It is very different, very uncommon. A resinous citrus smell, but think more resinous. It makes the fragrance smell wayyyyyy different than aventus. The resin makes it smell very middle eastern if that makes sense. That resin is not something I smell in modern mainstream fragrances. Probably the first time I've noticed that note in a fragrance. Instead of pineapple there's a smell of orange. The resin has a light lemon like scent but the backbone has more of a Hermes orange smell to it. So if I were to describe the fragrance it would be an orange woodsy/resin/floral with a hint of lemon. If I were to describe Aventus it is smokey pineapple with a woodsy/patchouli/floral backbone.

Aventus you need like 2 sprays and that's it. Its projection is incredible. L'Aventure I sprayed my shirt 4 times and I can lightly smell it. They are two VERY different fragrances. To describe them as a clone is dishonest and unfair, and this is coming from someone who loves the smell of Aventus (I've heard they've changed the batches around quite a bit) and refuses to pay $300+ for a bottle of it. I wish there was a replica for under $100.

Carbon318

Ok, so this stuff is great! I have Mont Blanc Explorer, Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense, CDNIM (EDP and Limited Edition Pure Parfum), and this one is closer to Aventus than any of them. It is almost 1:1 to current batches of Aventus. I was stopped at work 3 times on Friday by complete strangers in the hospital asking me what I was wearing. I bought a 6.7 oz tester with cap from JomaShop.com for like $29. Amazing value. My family loves this one as well. Highly recommend!

stateff

Similar to Aventus? Yes. Same quality? No. This is a narrower, more metallic version of Aventus. Given the price tag , it's ok.

La Nuit Noir

Great clone of Creed Aventus - especially if looking for a well-balanced smelling version. Loads of compliments, so good enough projection to be picked up walking around and being in the same room as others.

Doesn't have the artificial (lemon-scented bleach/cleaner) harsh opening a lot of cheap clones do, and smells basically the same as current batches of Aventus to the majority of people. You'd have to be doing a side-by-side shootout to really pick up differences, so for most people it will work just as well as Aventus but is much cheaper.

Leans more fruity than birch/woody but has decent depth to it and isn't just all pineapple, lemon, or bergamot.

smolco

very nice smell, a bit too sweet (citrusy) so usualy I wear it together with montblanc explorer

Cajunscents

Update 8/29/22
I'm leaving my original post below this for reference. After a few wearings I was wrong about this one. This is very good! Lesson learned about doing a review while your first wearing. I realized after testing more the "sweet orange" that I don't care for is mostly only detectable right off skin, in the air this is fantastic! About 90-95% close to my Aventus sample.

Updated rating:
Opening: 7.5 out of 10
Dry down: 8.75 out of 10

After using up my Aventus sample I had to give this a try since I am not paying what Aventus cost. I have to say I'm disappointed. Not because it doesn't smell good, but it smells extremely similar to the bottle of Alexandria Fragrances Zion that I already have. To me it's much closer to that than Aventus. I don't get pineapple at all, more like sweet orange with earthiness that I'm finding out is not one of my favorite scent profiles to wear.

After trying Terre D'Hermes, Zion, and now this I'm realizing I don't care for that "dirty orange" note these put off. At this point I've owned Insurrection Pure II, Banana Republic Black Walnut Legend, and now L'aventure and none come close to what I got from Aventus. Like comparing a base Ford Mustang with a 4 cylinder to a Shelby GT500. Both are Mustangs but in a different league. Oh how I wish I could finally find that clone that comes close.

Edit: After an hour or so into the dry down I get more of the birch and the sweet orange note is barely there. Much better in the dry down. If you like the opening I mentioned earlier then you'll like this all the way through.

Opening: 7/10
Dry down: 8.25/10

Jay631

Yes you get what you pay for! I thought I would try it giving I love the notes and love Aventus.

The smell is amazing, however, doesn't last on my skin for longer than 30 mins! and its projection is rubbish.

Those who say this is long lasting either have a better batch than me or they're lying!

Great smell very disappointing performance and I would advise you to keep your money!

pclark69

Overnight this has become my favorite fragrance. Beautiful. Lemon and musk are the first things I get. Wood and amber as well. And yes, patchouli as well. I have been using it in this high heat, and it does well. It didn't impress me as a bomb. A lot closer to the skin than others, but longevity is rather impressive. I get at least 10 hours, at which point that smoky musk is still there. Purchased a tester through a discounter for approx $25 USD. Best purchase I've made this year.

Atacama

@4trl0ver

If your skin is soaking it up, you need to moisturize my man. And drink some water.

Andysar

In my opinion by far the best Aventus smelling clone that you can get your hands on. Starts with blast of citrus with fruits and the drydown is just divine and smells very expensive. In my eyes, this is even better than Creed Aventus nowadays and this smells actually how Creed Aventus used to smell back in the days. This perfume has also a powerfull sillage and projection.

markdcasino

So if you’re reading this review, I’m guessing you love Aventus but don’t love the price of Aventus. There are numerous clones of Aventus on the market and L’Aventure is head and shoulders above the rest. I have tried CDNIM, Supremacy Silver, and every Poseidon variation from Dua and nothing touches L’Aventure.

I have a bottle of Aventus (19U11) and although I love the scent I can’t justify wearing it every day due to the high cost of doing so. In comes L’Aventure. I tried comparing CDNIM, Supremacy Silver and all the Poseidons to my 19U11 and every one of them missed the mark in some way. However, L’Aventure nailed it!! I mean nailed it!! Identical. I sprayed my 19U11 on a test strip, L’Aventure on another. I challenge someone to tell me which one is which. Forget about it. There is zero difference. ZERO. There are only two differences between Aventus and L’Aventure … price and performance. Aventus costs 13 times as much as L’Aventure, and L’Aventure outperforms Aventus by a long shot. It’s a no brainer.

So I know there are endless batch variations of Aventus. What is the scent profile of 19U11 and L’Aventure? You’re going to get a super juicy pineapple up front and that juicy pineapple stays with the fragrance from the top to the base. You will notice a smoothness to the fragrance (vanilla-like) even though vanilla is not an official note in L’Aventure. It has a smooth, slightly sweet musk (giving it that vanilla vibe), and as it dries down, the smokiness becomes more noticeable. It’s not overly smoky, similar to 19U11, but the smoke is most definitely there. It gives it a very masculine edge. The star of the show in both juices is the smooth fruity vanilla pineapple that stays throughout the life of the fragrance, accompanied by the alluring smoke in the base.

If you want to wear Aventus every day but find it to be a bit too expensive to do that, you just found the ultimate solution. L’Aventure is it. Forget the other clones. They aren’t even close. This one is THE ONE!!!

minhoEK3

I bought CDNIM LE, L adventure, Pur Lui zebra, Montblanc explorer and iam looking for good Aventus alternative. I didnt have chance to try Aventus so i cant say which of those is best clones. From those mentioned i like CDNIM and MB the best as their own fragrances.
So to Al Haramain....compared to CNDIM LE from beginning more of sweet citrusy bergamot(compared to tard "pineapply" or rather black currant/apple) then it goes more musky and floraly. In drydown it has some smoke very similiar to CDNIM but less of it:)
Average in longevity/projection but i would have to wear it more to judge it. Not bad when i will try it more i might enjoy it a bit more.....definatelly not bad Aventus alternative worth try.

PhillyFresh

Does not compare to Aventus or any of the aventus inspired perfumes (Cedrat Boise, Hacivat, etc.). Sure, it smells like pineapple+woods..but it's too linear and does not compare to others.

I used 3 sprays, it was gone in 3-4 hours. I could not smell it after 2 hours. It smelled like pineapple and woods with a touch of floral. It isn't spectacular, but it isn't bad. Worth trying if it works on your skin

6/10 for me.

Lotte_Liese

Clean, aromatic and woody. This is the sort of summer fragrance I'd love to smell on a man wearing a white shirt in the heat of the summer.

DustyMemphis

@Radius, just like everyone else, you're putting it on skin instead of clothes, 2 sprays is more than enough to last for days, but people still think scents should be sprayed on skins... Scents are NOT good for skin, it makes you age faster!!!

Radius

Basically a skin scent. Projection is weak. Need at last 5 sprays to get noticed probably...and sitting right next to the person.

4trl0ver

My skin drinks this up, after 2 hours there's a weak trace of a skin scent left. Doesn't work on my skin I see,

I have testet it with 3 spray, then 10 spray and 16 spray today.

I love the scent though, longevity, very poor on me.
Tha't the interesting thing about perfumes, what works for many might not work as well for me

scent lovely 9.5/10
projects like ½ armlength the first hour 4/10
skin scent after 2 hour 2/10
versatility all seasons, day scent 9/10

very good and natural smelling aventus clone but price is high for the low staying power.

BigBobRoss

Smells fresh clean summary

Sweet Lemon, smells like ice cold lemonade...

Above averages longevity and sillage

Smells similar to the more expensive Creed Aventus

jarno1208

Has the Aventus vibe for sure. I think it is pretty close to Zara Vibrant Leather. Lighter than Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man. Mainly citrus and woody notes. Pleasant. Cheaper Aventus clone type of fragrance.

DrAlmondjoy

Take aventus and replace the pineapple opening with a candied pineapple and get rid of the smoky dry down and you get this.

ONIE

I’ve been waiting to receive this, I bought mine off FragranceNet.com.

I own Creed Aventus, Nishane Hacivat, Club De Nuit Intense Man EDT, Montblanc Explorer, Perfumer's Choice Victor and now L’aventure Al Haramain.

I just received it today and I was so excited to receive this fragrance. When I first sprayed it, it smelled quite synthetic very lemony, the most citrusy out of all the Aventus styled fragrances I have smelled so far, so my first impression was “ oh no, this is gonna be a lemony mess of an Aventus " and while it’s not that lemon birch cleaning product opening that Club De Nuit Intense EDT has, it was still lemony, pleasant but unexpected as Aventus does not start like that, and it remained so for the first 30 minutes. I sprayed it on my arm and didn’t think much of it and was on my way out, but before I went out, I made my mother smell it and she was blown away with the scent and said it smells than Club De Nuit Intense, I was skeptical.
I went out, 2 hours later, I came back home and wanted to see how it progressed. I was getting ready to be okay with the fact that it wasn’t the best Creed Aventus clone. As I smelled it, I was BLOWN away with the scent it has developed into, I mean it’s 95% Creed Aventus! See, while Club De Nuit Intense EDT has gotten more compliments than any other fragrance in my collection, It’s way too strong sometimes, I could not dare to wear it to the office, it would choke people out, it projects and lasts WAY better than Creed Aventus itself. I still wanted a cheap alternative to Creed Aventus that was somewhat identical. Club De Nuit Intense was also much more prominent on the birch and smokey nuances but always lacked on the vanilla sweet nuances Creed Aventus has that I am in love with. Guess what ?! L’aventure Al-Haramain’s dry down ABSOLUTELY has that vanilla-y creamy sweetness that Aventus has and actually does it BETTER! Absolutely do not regret this purchase. The projection could be better, however it lasts 10 hours on my skin!

Overall Rating : 9.5/10

Marxwick

It is more citrusy and has less woodiness in the dry down.
If you like the brighter citrus opening more, this is the one clone to get.
The added resinous in the dry-down separates this from all the other competitors.
It is better than CDNIM EDT.

Ryanmmas26

I’ve went back and forth with this but I DO have to say this is the best GIT clone (easily edged out Tres Nuit and slightly edged out Egra by Rasasi) and a great fragrance on its own !!

This opens up with a very green, powdery, semi sweet and slightly inky smell (from the tea) and the inky smell is honestly slightly off putting but not a deal breaker.

In the mid the harshness in the opening dies down and this scent retains the greenness while becoming more smooth and powdery.

The drydown on this is the star and where it becomes a true GIT clone and the sandalwood really comes to the forefront giving this a creamy, semi sweet, smoothness to the greenery.
It’s still not quite as rich as GIT but it’s very close at this point !!

Performance-A very solid performer as this lasts 8-12 hours and even longer on clothes!! This also has very good projection for 3 hours ! On my skin this is great but I’d say GIT does slightly edge this out in performance

In comparison to Egra by Rasasi- I do slightly like Egra better as a scent as it’s a more powdery, refined Aspen but I do have to say Knight is a better and closer take on GIT

In comparison to GIT- Very close in the drydown but GIT has a WAY better opening and the drydown is much richer. Knight is a more modern, sweet, powdery, darker take and an amazing scent on its own !!

Overall rating -8 out of 10 !! Very solid scent on its own but still a very close take on GIT

This perfume has a very cheesy scent and does not last long. The bottle is full of fingerprints. I feel terrible. Not recommended.

So I'm writing a new review for this one as an update.

Right off the top is a bunch of citrus. I know pineapple isn't an official note but it certainly smells like I cut open a fresh one. Very pleasant and fruity opening. I've had CDNIM (Both old and new batches) and the opening is just such a turn off for me. This one is very smooth and fruity and more my style. The fruitiness goes away after maybe 10 minutes and then the woodyness starts to Come in. Overall I beleive this is very well blended and smells fantastic for the money.

Now let's talk performance..

When I first received this one it was very faint and light. I maybe got 2 hours out of it before it became a skin scent. After a few months of sitting in a drawer this fragrance has TOTALLY changed. It's much much stronger and more potent now after aging. I'm not entirely sure what has happened but it's a beast now! I only need about 2 sprays to the neck and I got a solid 6-8 hours out of it. If I spray it on clothed it lasts until the next day of moderate production of maybe 1ft. Now THIS is the type of AL Haramain performance I am used to. And for this type of daily fresh scent it does excellent. Very versatile and clean.

I would highly recommend but just be warned that it needs time to settle because upon first opening there's definitely a lot to be desired. But comparing this to CDNIM, supremacy silver, and pineapple vintage I'd say it's in the middle. It's not quite as refined as as pineapple vintage but it's certainly nicer than CDNIM. I'd say supremacy silver is at a tie with l'aventure. Go for supremacy if you want more smoke, go for l'aventure if you want fruit. Either way they're both excellent

MCW7

Don’t buy this fragrance! total waste of money. Although slightly pleasant when you can smell it. there is barely any scent there. . Compared to Creed Adventis for women. Don’t believe the Youtubers on TV when they tell you this is a dupe for it. It’s like water down cologd water

megalomania

This one is citrusy Aventus but not worth the money due to the horrible performance.
I prefer Armaf - CDNIM.

Aus11n

Worst Aventus style fragrance I’ve tried,. Super faint, instant skin scent. Bottle looks decent but is a fingerprint magnet. Not a fan , get Zara vibrant leather over this everyday

pdurand

Smells similar to a fruity batch of aventus, although aventus is still better smell wise imo. It's strikingly the same minus the absence of pineapple and vanilla. It smells alot sweeter on clothes then on skin I noticed.

Otismo

Nice aventus clone but with a lot of lemon in the opening, very pleasant.

It smells profesionnal, classy and mature.

This could be a very good office fragrance

andrianna.fragrance

smells like aftershave. Amazing citrus in the beginning but then that, aftershave comes in. Im a woman so its not my taste I thought this would be a nice unisex fragrance but nooooo, so ended up giving it to my dad. Too manly for me

From a woman perspective,
this is masculine, sexy, clean, fresh, natural citrus and slight soapiness.
A touch of powdery like smell, sophisticated and pleasant, yet sexy.
Very alluring. Id love to smell this on a man but not me.

nguyenkhuusg

Blind bought this on discounter, the best purchase for the price ever!

RobKY

Try layering with HM Hanae Mori, side by side... so good (be sure it is the lemon HM, not the spicy HiM).

Carlynn51

Love, love and all my love to this pocket friendly one. The presentation is amazing and the notes are superb too. This is quite close to Aventus which is pineapple and smoke, this is lemon and smoke. Wearing this down the lane, I got 8 compliments in 3 hours only. You can imagine, how lovely is it. This is light and not overpowering yet noticeable. This is truly good stuff which smells more of natural and not synthetic. One of the reasons for my inclination towards this one was its price point but as it fetches me so many compliments, I adore it even more.

AbdoulAllie

VERY SIMILAR TO CREED AVENTUS COLONGE!!!
Yes----this is a clone, but to the above fragrance not the original... Light and fruity and not too strong as Creed Aventus... This beats Creed Aventus Colonge in only one category--------Price Proposition... It's spend $300 or $70, either way they are both the same...
Don't get confused people------L'Aventure is amazing and will not break the bank, you won't be disappointed...

8.5/10

spartaksci

I'll sum this frag up this way: Aventus for the high heat. While CDNIM nails the smokier and darker facet of Aventus, L'Aventure is lighter and brighter but undeniably still is Aventus, with a good amount of Lemon on top. I use CDNIM in colder temperatures while L'Aventure gets it spot during the warmer months. Performance is not as good as CDNIM: that thing glues to my bones from morning to bedtime even after a shower, but it is above average when compared to the designer standard of longevity and sillage. It all comes down to what "kind" of Aventus you want and as its own scent, it definetly stands on two solid legs.

a.elmahdy

Putting the story of clones aside, this is a very beautiful masculine citrusy fresh fragrance. The opening is very fresh and intense. The lemon/bergamot notes are concentrated but slightly sweetened with the amber and the roses, so not synthetic or harsh in the opening. I think combining this with the elemi note creates an almost pineapple kind of smell, which is very beautiful. It stays fairly linear from opening to the dry down but with a gradual fading of the punchy citrus and a subtle emergence of hints of the wood and patchouli notes. A very nice blend and perfect for spring and summer, office, indoors, etc. You can overspray this one and will not be offensive at all. The projection is about arm length but creates a nice scent bubble, and the longevity is very good on skin and on clothes (almost a day on skin and several days on clothes). Coming from the ADG Profumo, L'Aventure was a very nice change. The price is fantastic for the quantity and quality, and the packaging/presentation is so beautiful it can be bought as a gift.

Now coming to the clones. I have smelled Creed Aventus long ago and they both smell similar, but I personally don't care if it's a clone or not. Perfumery is an art, and artists use similar elements in their creations. You still get a very nice scent with very good performance and superb packaging with a fraction of the price of designer and niche fragrances. That's a winning combo for me.

FragranceRookie

I don't know nothing about Aventus, never smelled it... This L'aventure In my opinion is a very nice scent, masculine but not offensive at all, really elegant... Maybe the dry down comes "quickly" but it stays for hours... Masculine, clean and cheap... I do recommend it :)

Montourage

I like this a lot and my girlfriend said she really liked it. Probably one of my top colognes as rated by her as she described it as her favorite multiple times and she's not afraid to give me her honest opinion as sometimes she seems genuinely pissed at what I'm wearing. This however made her happy and that makes me happy.

Mr Nosy Parker

This is more of an aquatic woody fragrance, the citrus is quite prominent and the elemi is a good choice as a head note that blends in well. The florals aren't all that noticeable which means your pretty much left with peppery woody notes in the dry down. It's an okay fragrance, no wow factor but at the same time not a waste of money. Performs modestly and good for spring, fall and summer day wear, more of a casual fragrance also.

heymit

This is a tough one for me. I love the scent profile as it is warm, citric, woody and fruity. Altogether very dynamic. I have never really cared about how close it is to Aventus or not, I treat it as a fragrance on its own. However, every time I wear it my wife complains (and she strongly dislikes Aventus). It's too macho / loud to her. It does project A LOT in the first hour, but doesn't have a crazy longevity (2-3 hours on skin). It's not office friendly. I work in a very large studio space and my studio mates smell me on the hallway outside. This is wear the fragrance gets 'tough' for me as I don't like projection monsters, it doesn't fit my personality. That said, I still love its scent profile. From now on, I will only wear it outside (not at work or inside the house). I might give it to my dad. To Aventus lovers: this lasts WAY longer than the version you get nowadays, I have tested it side by side. Aventus is less warm, thinner in texture and more sour on my skin. And for the price you pay for L'Aventure, this is a bargain.

Genaros22

This is a pretty good fragrance for the price , to my nose I get harsher notes on the opening nothing as soft and subtle like aventus. I like it but then I don’t. I bought the female version for my wife and that smells 95% like the aventus for her. But this I would give it 70% closeness to aventus.

fisken23

IMO this is a smoother clone of Aventus than both CDNIM and Explorer. Projection could have been better and the sillage is not very strong but it last 24 hours on my skin. That’s not very common.
Qualitywise on par with Explorer, better than CDNIM.
They all smell pretty similar but I rate L'Aventure higher than both the Armaf and Mont Blanc.

zano

As everyone says, it doesn't project much but it's a nice innofensive ans inexpensive office fragrance with an Aventus inspired scent profile (not clone)

Thecheckoutguy

OK, below here there seems to be a lot of people complaining this doesn't last and doesnt project, you're wrong, period, it does.
I won't do many reviews, but I had to comment on this as I work on a check out and meet more people every day than most of you will meet ever!
I wear some sort of scent every day, this is one of my most commented on scents ever. Bear in mind customers are wearing masks and are about 5-6 away from me. Every time I wear this it never fails to get 2 or 3 comments I end up writing it down so women can buy it for their husbands, they love it that much.
As with Aventis though, men like it too and do comment do be warned.
Mine is a new bottle, people comment on over 3 hours after I've applied it, I spray on my arms, not the neck as you go nose blind. So don't be put off by some saying it doesn't last or its weak, its excellent stuff, go get it

perfume11

Good fragrance, excellent value for price. Took a little time to get used to but I like it.

nordstorm

About two years ago I gave my 2017 bottle to a co-worker of mine with the idea that he could wear it more often than me. Melting every time smelling it on him when he was entering our department. Working for a while from home because of the C-word, finally we had to do some personal business together today and I said to him to bring over the bottle just to put a couple of sprays on me for ye olde times' sake. The initial blast of this smoky-resinous elemi (not to mention the slightly metallic freshness from the bergamot too!) is what I've been looking for all my life. Just gorgeous! I don't give a FCUK how close it smells to Aventus. I just love it the way it is and I will always do!

MNadz

I like for what it is...but it probably is the worst of the genre that tries to clone the King.

Opens with a muted and bland citrus/elemi combo. The opening is not that pleasant...but only last for a couple of minutes. Quickly it dries down to a soft woody musk. Kind of has a fuzzy musk vibe. It’s not bad...but not Aventus. If I were to guess, they were trying to clone Aventus batches that try to balance the fruit and smoke...my least favorite batches. I either want a punch of juicy fruit...or the strong smoky batch. This delivers neither.

Longevity and projection are average. Versatility is good...you could wear this year round and most occasions.

If you are buying this to get an Aventus clone...you will be majorly disappointed. If you buy this to get a different take on Aventus...one that goes in a different direction...you will probably be satisfied with it. Hope that helps a bit.

wlmyer2

Bought this hoping it would smell like Aventus, but it does not. It is missing the pineapple. The opening is beautiful and fruity but that only lasts five minutes and then it becomes a smoky peppery scent. Not worth the money.

IAmStaka

Went in with low expectations and was still disappointed. Not worth your money and nothing close to Aventus. It's basically a watered-down version of CDNIM, but why would I buy it if it's less ML (even if its just 5ml), looks worse on the shelf and is more expensive?

Saltychipdust

This was my first Aventus clone after researching which was closest. To me the only thing missing is the hint of vanilla I smell in Aventus. It’s very fruity and obviously not as polished but for the price and to the average nose it’s a no brainer. To those that say it doesn’t last try spraying on clothes as mine lasted the whole day but projected very close after a couple hours.

Shnarty

There's no point to this existing, really. It's sort of an Aventus clone but only in the very beginning. Its "lemon" top-note actually smells a lot like Aventus pineapple, but then the whole thing dries up and dies off in about 30 minutes max. There is no smokey birch on the back end. It's just an Aventus citrus opening and then, poof, nothing.

This beats Club de Nuit Intense Man as a clone on the initial pineapple burst (whereas CDNIM is totally lemon) but CDNIM completely destroys this from about 15 minutes in, all the way until the end. CDNIM has great longevity; L'Aventure's is horrible.

So if you really, really need to smell exactly like Aventus from the beginning to the end then layer this on top of CDNIM. But there's no point to it because in just a few minutes this will be gone and you'll only have the CDNIM. Save your money and buy a second bottle of CDNIM rather than this.

fanzypants

scent is absolutely subjective as is one's evaluation of a clone's accomplishment at being a clone. That's because each of us have our own chemistry with a fragrance and why half the stuff that smells good on other people don't smell good on me.
This smells great on me. Opens with a great bergamot that's slightly smoky. That slight smokiness will intensify once the bergamot fades into the background and the lemon and elemi mimic pineapple. Patchouli is what I'm left with in the Dry down and it is really great.

This was an uninspired buy for me and turned into one of my best fragrances of the year. I own cdnim which both my wife and I like a lot. However, it's a little too musky on my skin and so I only wear it when I know I'll be out of the house for a while, so no not really great in lockdown. This is! I love it and will wear it all year.

FreddyK

Smells like fruity batch of Aventus. There is no harshness like in CDNIM. Quite nice but is it the best clone of Aventus ? I don't know.

Honest Jack

The opening is a very strong citrus scent, during the transformation you get the very woody notes and settles to this green scent with a birch undertone. I do miss the fruity opening and smokey scent when it settles from other aventus clones. However this smells, lack of a better word, "fancier"? I would only wear this to work or on a nightout, specifically when I'm wearing a collared shirt. This is a sophisticated, powerful fragrance that is worth the $25 price tag. In my opinion, this scent does last as long as CDNIM, but the drydown is not as good. I miss the smokey notes and this scent is not as versatile, for those reasons I give this cologne a 7 / 10.

SuperFragHead

Come on, guys!! At 4.3/5, this one is filthily overrated!! You mean the real Aventus is 4.4 and this one is almost as good?!! It looks like many in here think it's great for its price but it's quintessentially a chemical mess with terrible mid and drydown. CDNIM, even with lemony opening, is a far better Aventus alternative with better performance and far superior drydown. I don't feel this one is worth even its price.

jasontallwood

Without a doubt this is the best purchase I made in 2020. I had never heard of Al Haramain and I remember my friend getting into fragrances and so he drags me to a cologne shop and I knew very little about Creed at the time. The man who worked the register there when my friend wanted Aventus immediately recommended L'Adventure instead. He passed me some free samples of it too as we spent quite a lot of money that day and I remember bringing it home and trying it a few days later. I honestly had no idea what Aventus was other than a subtle mention or two on here which went in one ear out the other.

This lasts an incredibly long time and I haven't been this impressed by a cologne in years. Absolutely this is beast mode and everything you want in a cologne. I can't believe the bang for your buck you get with this. I had such a great experience I tried other middle eastern brands such as Rasasi, Lattafa and Armaf to name a few.

It's got this dark freshly squeezed pineapple feel to it, it has this sweet yet slightly sour opening that is on the darker side. The birch becomes prominent in this and to me it's quite complex. It's aromatic. You'll have a great idea why Creed Aventus is one of the top selling niche fragrances right now. I got three other friends to buy bottles of this easily with the free samples.

The first time I put it on was around 7pm (19:00), I ended up staying up all night working on a project. By 2pm (14:00) the next day it was faint bits of it when I finally showered. At any given time I've got at least 10 or so bottles of cologne as of writing this and this lasts as long as some of my 100$ give or take designer fragrances The next day I can smell it on my pillow.. I'm not even joking. This was a mostly sleepless night before I even considered going to bed and the dry down was so strong it stuck onto my pillow.

The scent brought me back to the original Black XS by Paco Rabanne when it was a monster how strong it was. Obviously not the inspiration but for me it's what it reminded me of. The version released around 2005.

Anyone can wear this, not just teenagers It's extremely easy to wear. There is an intense version if you want your neighbors to smell it too. I can't wait to try more Al Haramain colognes.

Boisbois06

I'm not the biggest fan of the first 30 minutes (I can smell some lemon pledge chemical stuff, especially from too close) but the dry down (and the more it dry the better it smells) is a great clone of Aventus. I have a 2017 bottle and the performance is reaaaally strong. Overall, a winner. 4.2/5.

burstup

Not bad, but I miss the pineapple and birch/smoke here. So when it comes to Aventus clones, I prefer Club de Nuit Intense Man.

discardedandroid

Synthetic lemon pledge into a weird smoky woods. CDNIM is a far better Aventus clone. It's just okay.

Scotty123

This smells like Aventus. Smells good. Not worth the money though. CDNIM is cheaper and a way better performer in all aspects of the word. This one doesn’t perform at all! The very first spray is the best part and lasts for about 30 mins and disappears. Save your money and your time and buy CDNIM.

piyux

Al Haramain L’Aventure Men EDP opens with a moderate projection of slightly sweet, citrus, woody, and resin notes. The bergamot and lemon and the most prominent citrus notes, sour, sharp, and very fresh; the elemi adds a fresh, spicy, and resinous touch, but soft; the woody notes are also noticeable, they add a smoky accord that blends well with the elemi and citrus notes. The jasmine and lily-of-the-valley are just a soft touch. As the fragrance enters its dry-down, the initial citrus notes start to dissipate; the patchouli adds a soft green and sharp tone. The musk is projecting touch but it does not add itself as a noticeable note. The amber is the last of the notes and it does not have any significant participation. The most noticeable opening to dry-down changes are the sharp and strong citrus accords that are noticeable towards the opening but they start dissipating towards the dry-down, on the other hand, the patchouli and musk create a softer citrus fresh accord towards the dry-down. Once Al Haramain L’Aventure Men EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, woody, and smoky fragrance with soft citrus accords. The fragrance feels masculine, modern, playful, smokey, sporty, slightly sweet, versatile, woody, and somewhat pleasant.

BATCH REVIEWED: 2019 (N/A)
WOW RATING: 4/10. The opening is great but short-lived, the dry-down is mostly woody smoky, unimpressive.
DISLIKE RATING: 0/10. The notes in this fragrance and inoffensive.
UNIQUENESS: 3/10. The notes and resulting scent are very common.
MASS APPEAL: 5/10. Not the most crowd-pleasing fragrance.
PROJECTION: 2/10. Moderate to low, about 2 feet around the wearer.
SILLAGE: 2/10. Moderate to low, about 2 feet behind the wearer.
APPLICATION: 4 or more atomizations to improve performance.
LONGEVITY: 3/10. Moderate to low, with less than 1 hour of moderate to low projection, then it becomes a skin scent.
SEASONS: Spring, summer, and fall.
OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, office, business casual, and home.
VERSATILITY: 7/10. Versatile, this fragrance can be worn most of the year, almost for any occasion.
GENDER: Masculine, the woody, and smoky accords lean it to the masculine side.
AGES: Any.
RECOMMENDATION: Al Haramain L’Aventure Men EDP can be found discounted for about $35, the opening is fantastic, reminiscent of Creed Aventus but without the pineapple accords, however at its dry-down, it becomes mostly a woody, soft smoky fragrance with a very low projection which is disappointing. Not recommended.
BLIND-BUY: No, sample it first, pay attention to its dry-down.
SIMILAR: These are some examples of fragrances in the same genre. Bond No 9 The Scent of Peace for Him is a great one; Dua Fragrances Poseidon's Tux is a clone house with a couple of good fragrances, this is one of them and it features strong pineapple; Creed Aventus of course; Nishane Hacivat Unisex Parfum by Nishane is a powerful pineapple fragrance; Parfums Vintage Pineapple Vintage Intense EDP is another clone house, this version of their Creed Aventus clone favors pineapple over the smoky notes; Roja Parfums Elysium Cologne Parfum Spray for Men is another niche quality pineapple, fruity and woody fragrance; Armaf Club De Nuit Intense EDT is an affordable and good Creed Aventus clone; Tiziana Terenzi is a pineapple, soft incense and dry wood fragrance, very good; Afnan Supremacy Silver is good a slightly sweet, pineapple, black currant, and birch (woody, smoky) fragrance.
SUMMARY: A moderate projection, woody, and smoky fragrance with soft citrus accords. The fragrance feels masculine, modern, playful, smokey, sporty, slightly sweet, versatile, woody, and somewhat pleasant.

Scotty123

I can’t wait to add this to my collection. I have read the comments and have seen people say this is “better” than CDNIM. Since literally CDNIM is literally my most complimented fragrance I own in my collection even more so than ALL my ADG’s D&G’s Polo’s etc I have ALOT of great smelling fragrances but CDNIM takes the cake on compliments. So we will see next week when I order this and will review on here again when I get it. Also for the ones who say CDNIM has a “harsh” opening, you clearly don’t have the France version, because mine opens up smooth and perfectly.

Buds

Having owned L'venture for a week I am very impressed by this scent. The scent is very elegant and it feels more expensive than it is.

The opening is composed of a beautifully blended blast of fresh fruity citrus. There's something intoxicating about that opening.
Projection is very strong at the opening

Suprisingly however, that opening quickly transitions into a linear mid note scent which I'd describe as musky sweet and slightly woody with a touch of spice.
The excessive musk is the weakness here.

The dry down is like The mid, but without that excessive musk.

I cannot compare to CDIM as it's a totally different scent profile - CDIM is fruity/smoky whereas L'venture is Fruity/woody/musky.

My overall rating for this would be 8 because it's a unique and tasteful scent profile with above average performance at a good value price.

Milto

People can say all they want... Al haramain have nailed this one... It is my favorite CA clone hands down, they have got the dry down spot on.... Screw the quality comparisons (Yes,we know CA has superior quality). For the price I am glad on what Al Haramain delivered with this one....above average 7.5/10

colognefreak

I have both this one and CDIM. Both are 2019 batches.
Openings
L’ Aventure B+ Fruity pineapple, less lemony. Not overly harsh
CDIM C Very lemony, a bit harsh close up.
Middle Notes
L’ Aventure B- Smooths out fairly quickly, the mid notes are very nice
CDIM. C- Takes a bit to get that strong lemon out but when it goes, it has its own vibe.
Base Notes
L’ Aventure. A really rich bottom with citrus and spiciness.
CDIM. Fresher, brighter with a smokey bite

At full dry down, they are very, very close. I would say L’Aventure has a bit more character and a slightly different note finish that on my skin smells warmer. It also lasts a bit longer.
As I said, in the end they are very, very close.
My preference: L’Aventure “by a nose.” 😜

ceD Les

This a 100% my best buy. It's an affordable clone of Creed Aventus. In comparison, to Club De Nuit Intense Man (CDNIM) L'Aventure takes out the ambroxan and smoke, therefore it's more mass appealing. It's a lot better than CDNIM and my friends agree. I also get the most compliments on this fragrance from men and women alike.

Freddy78

As others have said, it smells very similar to Creed Aventus. Woody, fruity and citrusy. It has the same problem that it can smell both good but also sharp and sour. I would say though that this one is a bit brighter and sharper. Overall, as with Creed Aventus, it´s a like for me.

beogradbeogradbeograd

@piyux
First you say that we should not buy it, then you recommend blind buying.:))
I just had to reflect on that.
Considering the poor performance that a lot of people are stating here, I gotta say that I do not have such problems. This is high performer on me and I would say that you need to test it on your skin and only then make a decision. People should stop making statements about performance based on their (subjective) experience. You need to understand that some fragrances will work on you, others will not. Always test. Never blind buy.
Considering the smell, this is by far the best Aventus clone that I have tried so far.

moondawn

really, really poor performer. and the funny thing is, it performed well when I first bought it in winter, at least for the first couple of days. I put it in my closet after that and waited for spring, but looks like the juice simply turned bad in about 5 months. it makes no sense, but that's how it is. it all comes down to whether you're going get lucky with the batch since the smell is great regardless of how close to Aventus it is. after all, fragrances like this are made purely to attract positive reactions from others so if you can get it to perform, you're going to receive compliments for sure. I couldn't, so it's 50$ wasted for me and 'dislike', but for someone else it will be an excellent buy.

testerstrip

The first time I heard about this frag was from Jeremy Fragrance. Then I heard it in another channel. And another.. I haven't even smelled Aventus and I have already started hating it, cuz of all the hype and HOLY GRAIL-iness around it. Eventually I submitted to it and started looking for decent alternatives/clones. That's how I ended up blind buying this one.

Scent - 7.5/10 - Definitely a nice scent, but having smelled the Real Deal AFTER buying this one, I gotta say - I am not in love with either of them. Just a very nice scent and that's about it. My parents really like it(L'Aventure) though.
The difference between this and CA(no idea what batch was the one that I smelled) is obvious in the opening. Lemon+bergamot does give off similar vibe to pineapple+apple, but the difference is noticeable. L'A is more synthetic/too lemony, which is not very pleasant in the first 20-30 mins, but then it settles and it's very decent in the air, but still synthetic/too lemony from up close.
An hour in comes the best part - the drydown, which I can describe as a fresh, fruity and smoky scent.

Longevity - 8.5/10 - Around 9-10 hours on skin, days on clothes, even after washing them.

Projection - 8/10 - Which is more than what I would want it to project with this type of scent. In the first hour it is strong and can be easily detected from 5 feet/1.5m. The next hour it stays at arms length, and then it becomes closer to the skin scent, but leaves a nice scent trail. Performance wise it's definitely solid, maybe even a bit too much for me.

Versatility - 8/10 - It is pretty versatile. It's just that I don't want to wear it more than I do. I treat it as a beater frag and use it for any less formal occasions, also in the winter and it works.

Bottle - 6/10 - It is functional and easy to use, but the foil wrinkles with time and it's kind of annoying. The sprayer is fine though.

Price - 8/10 - I bought it for around 42$ for 100mil. My only complaint is that I could have bought something that I would love instead of like, but overall it's doing it's job and I'm happy with it.

Alternatives - Considering it's an alternative itself.. Probably it's biggest rival is Armaf CDNI, which is much more hyped, but I haven't smelled it and can't compare them.

Al Haramain L'Aventure - liked by testerstrip

saqlainr12

There is a feel of the elegance in this fragrance, there a wave of feeling after the success. There is a mild smell of mud coming from the clothes of a warrior. It's only for the mature people, way more stable and mature than CDNIM.

thebark

First thing first: I purchased a bottle of Aventus back when it was first released. What people who didn't have or sample the fragrance back in its first few years may not know is... the current Aventus is a clone of Aventus, plain and simple. Though it carries the same overall scent profile (for the most part, at least), it's nowhere near as potent or smokey as it used to be where a couple of sprays could easily fill up a decent sized room and last for hours and hours.

That being said, L'Aventure, to my nose, does a decent job of trying to recreate that earlier birch-tar accord that's been lacking/toned down in recent years. The opening accord of lemon and bergamot replaces the pineapple/apple of Aventus with some degree of success, but ultimately is the fragrances weakest link in its attempt to duplicate the same effect - though it should be noted L'Aventure, as a whole, doesn't have anywhere near the same quality of ingredients to work with... yet it still manages to capture a fairly similar aura on a budget which is something of a remarkable achievement in itself.

I haven't sniffed too many other so-called clones, but have found Tiziana Terenzi's Orion to be of high quality which offers something "similar" yet different in its own way. Curious to see what opinions are of Al Haramain's Intense version of L'Aventure which dropped last year. Their other offerings in the Amber Oud (Tobacco Vanille and Baccarat Rouge 540 clones) as well as the Portfolio series (Neroli Canvas, Floral Sculpture, etc.) have been outstanding and of much higher quality than this range. It's a shame their original "westernized" offerings haven't taken off, though many of their exclusive attars ($150+ price range) are definitely worth checking out.

I’ll admit, this was a completely blind buy off of ebay. Couldn’t tell you how I found myself looking in to L’Aventure, but my first dive into the description didn’t make me think “Aventus”, and it wasn’t until I began to read comments between here, and one or two other sites that I got a glimpse of the hype and popularity.

As it stands, I have never even so much as been in the same room as a bottle of anything the house of Creed has ever produced. Having that in mind, when I hear something being referred to as the “King” of masculine fragrances, I have to wonder. All that to say, I still need to find a bottle of Aventus to experience, and critique it for myself.

This leads us to L’Aventure. I am pleased, I’m delighted, I’m surprised, and I’m absolutely curious, now more than ever, about Aventus. This juice opens with a brightness to the bergamot that took two whiffs to appreciate fully. The backhand of that slap to my olfactory bits was a pleasant pineapple. (Yes I get the pineapple, but only briefly in the opening.) Truth be told, I sprayed it on my hand 45 minutes ago, and this fragrance has been intoxicating me since. I can tell the dry down is where things become very unique with the woody notes and I’m enjoying how this fragrance is maturing on my skin very much. The best part about it is the odd familiarity it has, for me of course. There’s a reminiscence of something I enjoyed smelling as a child, I can’t quite place. The nostalgia is real though. I am considering myself lucky to have found this at the moment. So there’s that, with a brilliant blend of confidence-inspiring masculinity to the whole accord that makes me feel like I wouldn’t mind at all having this become a signature scent for me. I’m looking forward to having this fragrance in my rotation.

Let’s just say, if Aventus smells like the best possible version of what L’Aventure has accomplished, my bank account is in trouble. I’ll have to pick up a sample decant now, just to be safe, but honestly if it ends up being close enough, why would I buy Aventus other than for bragging rights? Nobody around me in my daily life smells this way. I can’t wait to check the real performance of this one. Cheers.

Edit:
Alright. Now that I’ve had a chance to wear this fragrance out a few times and experience the performance, I’ll make it simple

Scent: 9/10
Longevity: 8/10 (for me, but I had a curious nose stop me at hour 12!)
Silage: 7/10

Overall, the opening is where this fragrance stands apart by the longest shot for me. The coolest thing, I think any age group should try. The citrus notes are quite refreshing and the woody notes aren’t offensive or heavy to the nose, even smelling against the skin.

All the other reviews already compare this to Aventus. So, let's compare this to the other clones of Aventus. I just got this and compared it to CDNIM '17 batch. I believe the CDNIM is a better blend and richer than L'Adventure. Sure, you get the lemon blast in the top with CDNIM, but soon after comes the great beastly drydown. L'A, to me, is linear and smells the same from open to drydown. I was catching whiffs of it for a few hours. I also think L'A is a great clone, as well. Just a tad below CDNIM in performance and compliments. CDNIM has gotten me more compliments than any other fragrance I've worn, and yesterday L'A got a me a few (but those were solicited). I mentioned I was trying something new and those women said they could smell it and it was nice. Both are great clones of Aventus (Parfums Vintage would be fantastic clones), and are worth a blind buy unless you're very picky. With this, I can save my 2017 bottle of Aventus for special occasions.

By the way, I sprayed Aventus on one hand and L'A on the other. To be honest, and surprisingly, L'A had better performance overall. I could barely smell the CREED after a few hours. Maybe I should get my nose checked.

marcel2782

Comparing it "wrist by wrist" with Aventus, I can rule the following:
1) Aventus opens fruitier and silkier, but more timid in projection;
1.1) This one is citrusier and sharper, but projects more;
2) Aventus is sweeter and more inviting to the nose;
2.1.) This one becomes very bitter, almost scaring away, which I think translates (misleading) into a smoky aspect for some people.

Conclusions:
- The difference in quality is huge and way bigger than I thought before testing (in favor of Aventus, obviously);
- Established that you love this aroma (I say you who's reading, not me), the decisive criterion must be: 1) money available; 2) importance given to performance.

3 scenarios open up:
1) If money is a problem, forget Aventus;
2) If money is not an issue and you don't care about intimate projection, go team Aventus, especially since its longevity is still on satisfactory level (it exudes something of 5cms for a long 4 hours at least);
3) If money is still not a problem but if the intimate projection makes you think you're flushing money down the toilet, go team L'Aventure or just forget about both.

This isn't bad. In my experience, its more mass appealing than CDNIM since it doesn't have the heavy birch tar note. Some here have said they get no birch, I must disagree. Yes, it is much less prominent than the birch in CDNIM and a little less than modern batches of aventus, I still get a nice base of woody birch, just less strong and smokey. Besides that, this fragrance opens with more lemon than bergamot and smells like a smoother version of CDNIM, closer to the vain of pineapple. It dries down to a fruitier citrus feel from the piercing citrus notes that this fragrance opens up with.

Lastly, some people have complained about performance. I personally have no problems with performance. Yes, its not as strong as CDNIM but off my skin it is comparable to if not slightly better than modern batches of aventus. Decent projection for first 2 hours, total longevity in the 7 hour range.

Scent: 8/10
Longevity: 7.5/10
Projection:7/10
Overall: 7.5/10

For the price (I got my bottle for ~$25), you cant go wrong here. Unless you hate aventus and similar style fragrances.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that while I compared many parts of this to Aventus, I agree that it is not an exact clone. In my opinion, it is much closer to MODERN batches of aventus than CDNIM, but pre-2016 batches are a totally different story. This has that lighter, fruitier smell found in modern aventus that CDNIM mostly lacks.

CheapFragHead

Most people call this an Aventus clone, but I wouldn't. It smells vaguely similar to Aventus, but not close enough to be a clone. It's not a bad fragrance, but if you're buying this anticipating that you're going to smell like you're wearing Aventus, you'll be disappointed. The opening smells like a harsh cleaning solution. But after about 20 minutes it starts mellow down and smells nice.

If you want a true affordable Aventus clone, go with Club De Nuit Intense Man.

Paulmac1966

This is a nice fruity, woody fragrance that smells a tad like Aventus. Although not in the same ballpark for smell. If you want an Aventus clone go for the Armaf.

lisjjen

I have ridden the Aventus clone rollercoaster, starting with CDNIM, then L'Aventure, Emperor Extrait, Pineapple Vintage Intense Gold, and then I finally decided to give in to the hype train and buy the real Creed Aventus (2019).

Which did I think smells the richest and most Aventus like? Emperor Extrait.

Which was I the most disappointed in? Real 2019 Creed Aventus. Especially for the price. I felt like I sprayed it and it disappeared within an hour. For the price, that's inexcusable.

Which do I like the best? L'Aventure.

And I don't particularly think it smells like Aventus. I get a lemon sorbet vibe in the opening, and then it transitions to an herbal, woody, musky drydown. Very pleasant for the summer heat. Men love this smell, women really love this smell, most importantly I love this smell. I just like the way it feels to wear this in the summer.

Now that I have tried all that Aventus has to offer, for my signature scent, I am going with... Parfums de Marly Layton. But that is a three season scent. For summers, I'm going to stick with L'Aventure.

P.S. One of my biggest pet peeves is how people rate Aventus clones by how close they are to Aventus. I think it is much better to rate the clones by how good they are on their own.

Kevin The Llama

This fragrance is very lemony and woody and kinda smells like some sort of lemon candy in the opening. Some reviews have said this fragrance is smoky? i get no smoke, thankfully. Performance is okay

manilafortuna

L'aventure better than Creed Aventus...

%95 same but L'aventure long - longevity

Rastaman

This smells really well made. For the price your either going to buy it or not. Make up your mind. Amazingly women LOVE this.
Bottle presentation is gloriously done.

Scent it flying

I have Creed Aventus batch 19P11 and a 10ml decant of CA batch 16M01... plus a bottle of l’aventure..

With these three.,. The difference between the two batches of Creed Aventus and l’aventure is all in the first 5 minutes. The first five minutes of l’aventure is a massive waft of lemon toilet cleaner IMO.. its not horrible by any means but it ain’t anything to get excited about.

I have 19P11 on my inner elbow and l’aventure on my wrist right now after applying it 2 hours ago.. it really is impossible for my nose to tell the difference between the two.. i honestly cant. And to be honest the l’aventure is the more powerful of the two strength wise.

If you were thinking of purchasing a 2019 bottle of CA i would advise you not to as its a complete waste of money IMO. Better off spending your money on something else like Parfums de marley layton and still having change left over to buy two bottles of l’aventure!!..

All you need to get through is the first 5 minutes of harshness with L’aventure and youre then basically wearing 2019 Creed Aventus and, lets face it, most of us would apply at home before we go out our front doors and it would be more than 5 minutes before we get to our destination.. plenty of time to get through the initial lemon blast and onto the drydown phase.

Batch 16M01 of Creed Aventus... well, thats a whole different story.. this smells 3x better than the L’aventure and the 19P11 batch.. it is just unfknblvble in every way from the moment it hits your skin till the moment you scrub yourself down in the shower with lots of soap and finally remove it.. its an absolute gem.

This is my opinion based on what ive currently experienced with CA and L’aventure..

Jatom22

Not smelling creed aventus. I get a woody lemon on the dry down. It smells nice but cant touch Club de nuit in terms of similarity to aventus, imo

Juiceman 0331

I ain’t no Aventus fanboy but I do have a 2013 batch that was gifted to me by my wife. I also have Insurrection, Club De Nuit with the black sprayer and L’Aventure.
Insurrection is too light for me and becomes a skin scent after 45 min.
Club De Nuit is to harsh for me just in the beginning. I actually layered it with Insurrection to cover that harsh opening.
L’Aventure is the most satisfying from all the clones I have and have tried. It gives me that Aventus vibe when I am craving for it. It’s the best from the 3,clones I have.
I reserve my 2013 Aventus for very special occasions and dates with my wife only. From what I’ve heard the current batches that sells for $400 aren’t worth the price anymore.
I actually enjoyed Al Haramain that my next purchase will be Al Haramain Knight. They said it’s a clone if GIT and just like my Aventus. I want to wear my GIT only for special occasions or dates with my wife which I consider a special occasion all the time.
My rating is not based against my 2013 Aventus but rather against other clones I have.
This is the best of the 3 clones I have. Yes, I would buy it again unlike CDNI and Insurrection. This is a great clone and alternative to Aventus. Worth blind buying.
Scent 8/10
Sillage 7/10
Longevity 8/10

I like it that it does not have a pineapple in it as it is something that I do not like about Aventus and the clones. The creator took the best of Aventus, smoothed it and gave it more woodiness. In fact what I can smell are nuts even though I know they are not there.

Really elegant and versatile fragrance, can't get enough of sniffing of it.

Only - why does this smell so shortly?!

I would give 9 but it's 8.5/10 for poor longevity.

Chuongy

After reading and watching all the hype about this frag and cdni clone of aventus I finally gave in and bought both. I have to say both L'aventure and cdni are syntheti and very unpleasant. I don't have the original CA to compare to but I live near a department store and have smelt aventus enough to understand the smell that these clones are going for and I do love the smell of CA. Whether CA is using real or synthetic ingredients it is still well blend and pleasant to smell. L'aventure is very synthetic and unpleasant. Perhaps after the first hour until I get to the dry down it smells better. But then if I'm going to spray on something I would want to enjoy it from the beginning to end. If you want to enjoy inexpensive clone get Zara Vibrant leather. Although it doesn't last as long but at least it smells more natural and pleasant from start to end. Perfect for office because it's not strong projection. Try L'aventure or cdni first before you buy. Anyway that's my opinionwhich I hope can help some of you out there to make the right decisions.

SamM1971

L'Aventure is probably the best CHEAP clone I smelled so far: I like how they made elemi resin to "pretend" to be pineapple and green apple and a little of birch undertone. Yet the fragrance comes across natural, not synthetic. If you are on the budget, try this one. This is not a close clone but rather a fragrance that will remind you of Aventus and good to be on its own. One big advantage of L'Aventure is that it resembles Aventus relatively well at all stages of development (if you ever smelled Club de Nuit opening, you know what I mean). By projection and longevity, this one is closer to 2018 Aventus batches. No clone can replace Aventus though, even a good one :(

burstup

L‘Aventure lacks the birch tar and pineapple of Creed Aventus. I like Club de Nuit much better.

jackfort

Man, i like this one a lot. I no longer need Aventus since L'Aventure and CDNIM are in my collection. For me L'Aventure smells a bit better than CDNIM but CDNIM is the better performer.

Ratings:

L'Aventure
scent = 9
performance = 7

CDNIM
scent = 8
performance = 9

Alfredo021

I bought a sample of this. I can't compare it to Aventus, because I've never smelled, but in comparison to another clone, Supremacy Silver by Afnan, I think this one smells better, the opening isn't as harsh. I might buy a bottle once, but even 40€ is a lot for me right now.

Stwmylos

This is very close to Aventus. I spotted slight differences between this one & Aventus : 1) a bit more citric and harsh opening for L' Aventure ( for about 20 mins) than Aventus, 2) Aventus is smokier and 3) Projection and longevity better for L' Aventure. Nice package and bottle. Excellent value for money.

8.5/10

DK7667

Oh please anyone hating on this are simply trying to justify getting stitched up for paying £250 for Aventus.

I have worn Aventus for years and you cannot tell the difference... end of... period.

MacGuffin

@dadudelebowski
I thought I was the only one who notice the off-putting aftersmell. But I would describe it as herbal, gingery smell probably from elemi. At first the fruity opening is really good but the herbal smell will immediately replace it. Very far from smoky birch in early batches of CA. Thats the reason why LAventure sits at the bottom half of my CA clones ranking.

noor85

This should have been named L'Disappointment!
No sillage
No longevity
Just stick to CDNIM

Vapor Trail

Compared to other Aventus clones I've tried:

Worse performance than CDNI Man, but smoother
Better performance than Insurrection II Pure and more depth
Worse performance than Rasasi Zebra, smells about the same but not *quite* as rich

Now if you want to wring your hands about possible reformulations, batch differences, yadda yadda, be my guest. But what's L'Aventure got on every other clone?

That's right, the rubber cap! You can drop it hundreds of times and it will never break! Yeah!!

nossrednamik

So I just recently smelled Aventus and got hooked immediately. I felt the price was a bit steep and looked at the clones. Went ahead and bought this one and the Armaf one as those were the clones people say were the closest to CA.
However I must say neither does a good job conveying the original fragrance and I cant for the life of me understand how people can say they cant smell the difference. To me the difference is HUGE with both clones. This al haramain one smells synthetically citrusy/spicy, a sweet kinda smell that kinda makes me wanna throw up. It gets a bit better an hour in or so. None of these clones comes close to Aventus in smell or quality. They might share some resemblance but if you want Aventus you really need to buy Aventus. Although maybe even more dissimilar the Armaf CDNIM to me smells more pleasing and the smokiness of that one is more appetizing than this sweet mess. However, on a side note i also bought Tres Nuit and The knight (GIT clones) and both those smell pretty good, with the latter being closer to the real thing but the first one being my favorite.

BenElfy

I got a sample of this as well as Aventus, I put Aventus on one arm and this on the other. I could honestly not tell a difference between the 2 for the first couple hours. My girlfriend could however. Without telling her which one was which, she said she Aventus smelled like higher quality and she liked it more.

The dry down is when I could notice a difference, Aventus was smoother while L'aventure was a little harsher when smelt up close. That could be because I only dabbed Aventus on while I sprayed L'Aventure one.

The longevity is insane! I sprayed in the evening, I worked out in the morning getting sweaty, then showered and I could still smell L'Aventure on my arm!

Unless you can afford or find a really cheap Aventus, go with L'Aventure.

GoldIris

Still the best Aventus clone so far (have tried all of them, even the Dua Fragrances ones).

Hope Al-Haramain doesn't/stops reformulating their fragrances, because I experienced some differences between batches, especially with L'Adventure Blanche (the Silver Mountain Water clone).

rafa_moura

I already had the Aventus, today I have the Club de Nuit Intense and L'Aventure.
I think L'Aventure is closer to the Aventus than the CDNI. CDNI opens more citric and smoother drying. L'Aventure opens more fruity, more pineapple, and the drydown does not appear as much smoke. Because it is less citric, L'Aventure pineapple makes the fragrance slightly sweeter, for me, the ideal would be the fruity part of L'Aventure with the smoky part of the CDNI.
Just like Aventus, it causes olfactory fatigue, you may not feel it after a few hours, but the compliments come when you least expect it.
Here in my work, they confuse him to the Aventus, and I confirm that it is the Creed.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Scent - 10
Longevity - 8.5 (10hs)
Sillage - 8.0

Sorry for my bad English.

Wizardwaz

I got this fragrance for about a month now. My initial thoughts when smelling this perfume when i first sprayed it i was like is that it?

The next day i wore the same the jacket i had sprayed it on but i never smelled anything until i was in church.. AND THEN BOOM. The i was like holy sh*t who smells so good..i honestly felt the urge to ask the guys sitting next to me if it was them until i sniffed my jacket properly. This fragrance is awful in the beginning stages but give 1-2 hours..it turns into a beast.

With that being said, i sneeze alot when i wear this perfume and my eyes becomes very teary. I may be allergic to it but its a top fragrance.
