Very nice perfume. I find it interesting and seductive. A date night scent. Too bad It’s discontinued. One of my sister’s favorites.

soni_

The best perfume in my entire collection so far. More of a night perfume. Smells extremely seductive and feminine on me.

When I purchased my first bottle of Nina Ricci Ricci I didn’t knew anything about rhubarb but it got me hooked instantly! And I still haven’t found anything to smell similar to date to Ricci Ricci. Niche, designer or artisanal! This one is absolutely unique!

I am aware that nowadays Ricci Ricci is discontinued because it is not the most likeable scent profile. Or for some other unknown reasons, but it’s a shame! It’s a very daring and unique scent and very out there for a designer house. I feel like back in the days, the designers used to create more interesting and creative perfumes than they currently do.

Ricci Ricci is for me all about rhubarb, datura and tuberose flowers plus a strong, herbal, green patchouli. On me, these notes shine the most. The rose, bergamot and sandalwood are blended mostly just to tame the sharpness and tanginess of rhubarb and patchouli.

I am so happy that I had the chance to secure two back up bottles because I really enjoy wearing Ricci Ricci and I would love to do so in the future as well! It’s an acquired type of scent but it is very daring, strong and potent and I am loving it as much as the first time I’ve tried it!

Ricci Ricci is a fall and spring floral scent. It’s so strong, loud and projects so intensely that it would choke anyone in the summer heat!

when I first got this as a gift, I disliked as I was 17 and unfamiliar with the patchouli notes, it wasnt my thing as a whole. but after a couple weeks I absolutely loved this perfume, such a shame that it's discontinued, I bought the last 50ml bottle I could get my hands on and now it's half empty.
this is definitely not for teenagers and it's a huge compliment getter! it's very unique and memorable. if you miraculously find it, buyyyy ittttt!!!!

Luilind

Delicious like red gummy bears.

The scent develops throughout wear, projecting moderately. It lasts forever. The pyramid is true to what I smell: At first I get rhubarb and citruses, sweet like red candies. Then beautiful white florals appear on a light palette of patchouli and sandalwood.

It’s well blended and for such a strong sweet scent, I’m surprised it isn’t cloying at all.

Bought this gem last year at the airport and I'm so happy I got my hands on this. It's a warm cozy winter scent with a zingy touch from the rhubarb. It's more mature and quite elegant. Has a bit of the same vibe as Chanel Coco mademoiselle but this is more playful. Try it if you can!

PlanetGrl

Tuberose patchouli bomb, dated 1980’s scent. Longevity is DAYS. Such a strong perfume.

I just got this today so I will still be testing it. For me, this smells like an airy, light, and tarty sweet fragrance, but the tartness is not sharp but mellow? Is that strange, a mellow tartness likely from the rhubarb? For me it is more of a floral fruity scent than anything else. On my skin, it does not seem to last/or rather it becomes a skin scent in about an hour or so.

On the dry down, something about it smells like laundry soap, which I do not really like because I associate laundry smell with being cheap. I think that layering it with oils or letting it macerate for awhile will hopefully either improve the smelling experience for me or develop my nose further. While it is a different scent, this gives me Euphoria vibes though Euphoria is stronger, heavier, richer, and darker. Between the two of them, I would choose Euphoria, but still testing this one so I am not going to jump the gun and say that I dislike this outright. It is just not a love atm.

barbiegirl

This is so pretty. On the opening I experience almost a pine or evergreen effect in the first minute or two - very pleasantly bracing and uplifting without being pungent. Softening to a fruity tartness, and as it mellows the warmth of the tuberose and sandalwood emerge. I like to spray one wrist and then half an hour later spray the other, so that I can compare the two and get to know the stages. It's lovely and I think suitable for lots of different occasions and times. I love the bottle, but one needn't feel this is for only special occasions, as the fanciful magenta ribbon might imply. I've got jeans on this morning and some fairly mundane things ahead today, and Ricci Ricci is energizing to me in a good way. Partly cloudy, high-60s F autumn day where I live, and this fragrance is feeling lovely! This is very versatile.

MOONbella1234

the description for ademoiselle Ricci Nina Ricci seemed more accurate for this one

I'm going to speak about the tuberose here, instead of the rhubarb. To my nose, the tuberose is what really gives this perfume its identity, while the rhubarb and base notes are just there to shape the florals. To me, this is lovely and classic, not trendy. This tuberose is not bubblegum like Armani My Way. It's more velvety and sensual than that. I agree with the post that said it has something in common with Delina. I get that, too, along with a similarity to original Poison...something spicy, like cinnamon or ginger in the opening with the tuberose reminds me of that fierce classic. My husband liked this the first time and made a point to comment on it, which he rarely does.

Who might like this: people who like Delina, original Poison, Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum, Alien Fusion, Dolce&Gabbana L'Imperatrice, or heady white florals that have an indistinct tart juicy opening. This is pretty heady and is more serious than it's bottle may indicate.

What this is NOT: Chloé Nomade EDP, which is also touted as a modern chypre. This also is not Mugler Angel Nova, CH Very Good Girl or any Good Girl iteration, Hermès Rhubarb Ecarlate, or La Vie Est Belle (the patchouli is used differently).

Final thoughts: I like it and will keep it. It smells good on me and I'm not too strict about which season I use my scents in. Pretty bottle. Velvety, sexy tuberose, with a certain unique twist from the rhubarb that makes it intriguing and a bit more modern.

wattie

Lovely bottle, nice scent. I picked eau de parfum 50ml up for 30 euro I think at Innsbruck airport Austria in January, as I was quite taken with the look of the bottle, and it smells nice. It smells a bit like all Nina Ricci perfumes I have tried- inoffensive, fruity and floral. I'm not massively getting rhubarb, but I can see where they are coming from. It smells sweet, fruity, spicy, floral, it looks great on my dressing table, but doesn't last long on my skin. No one has ever remarked when I'm wearing it.

Sasha_Lilova

It has Nina Ricci Nina vibe im the opening, but it is very unique scent. I have never smelled something like that. I like to wear it on spring rainy days.

Hello, update now - I wear it in autumn and it is even more beautiful as a sent then in spring. Now I can tell that i really like the sent.

Gyps

Sweet and sour with floral. Quite nice but not that long lasting on me. I like the opening, I’ve not had rhubarb in a fragrance before. Interesting and different.

Edit: Came back to it 7 months later and it’s really very nice. A tart opening and then the flowers start to peep through on the dry down. I’m going to try and remember I have it and wear it more often. I don’t know why everyone has said it is discontinued as I can find it all over the place online.

scentine

It's one of those scents that is a lot more original and interesting than I realized when I first had it and have come to truly appreciate it now that it's supposedly discontinued.
I'm not a big fan of rhubarb, and although this is rhubarb-dominant it's used in a way that is very pleasant. It's a beautiful fragrance that has great lasting power. The current trends in perfumery and the oversaturation of near-identical releases make this all the more special.
This feels neither fruity nor floral exactly. It smells perfumey, but not in a stale and dated way. It isnt obvious in any way that people can put their finger on. It's why they keep asking: ohhhh, what is this?

I personally dislike both Delina and Fleur Narcotique for the pungent lychee note that make them intolerable to me. I wouldn't say that they're similar, but there is a crisp fruity aspect to Ricci Ricci that made me think of it. The latter just feels more timeless and elegant. It's not a trendy fragrance, but it is certainly recognizable and was definitely ahead of its time.

GUADELUPA

It's a very interesting scent! At first application it is bitter, then slowly becomes a little bit sweet and floral. Longevity and sillage is very good. I can smell it for twenty four hours on clothes. Patchouli and rhubarb are the main notes here, sandalwood and tuberose are the base notes. The bottle has very unusual shape and is really gorgeous. I won’t say that this fragrance is “Wow”, it reminds me of Marina de Bourbon Classique - dense and very chypre, the French classical scent as it is!

emilymonroe1

Heavenly! It is delightful and fascinating. It's quite distinctive. Although rhubarb and bergamot's tart introduction is a little strange, it's actually quite delicious in a very quickly sweet and sour kind of way. If you must categorise it as anything, I would say that this is most definitely one of my favourite flowery chypres. It starts off strangely before getting lot more flowery. Together, Rose and Tuberose form something sexual and incredibly feminine as they dance, displaying all of their sensuality and emanating rich carnal naughtiness. naughty, a little mystifying, yet charming. Always young, spunky, and captivating.

@VIPMEN

Swedish airport Arlanda has lots. But they are on sale, so I suspect it won't last long. If I wasn't flat broke, I would buy them all :(

VIPMEN

looks like people can still buy this. where are you from??? i need to travel to your country and buy like 5 bottles because here in argentina you cant find it, and that happened years ago

Kcbear28

Yummy! I could bathe in this all summer long.

Abyss Dei

Best 29€ I spent last week. This one's a beauty. Oh, the patchouli, and it actually developes during wearing. Even that seems to be rare in the designer and even niche realm these days. I can only recommend Ricci Ricci, it's so cozy. As a male I wear it proudly.

Edit: I cannot go without digging my nose into the scent. Remarkable. From a simple like to a love. Damn.

midnight dot

I'll be completely honest, I only bought it because I was moved by the commercial which lead to being enamoured by the actress/model Jessica Stam. I still have the bottle. A floral and mature smell that matches perfectly the audience's intended. It holds a sentimental value to me, I probably would not empty the bottle as I recently learned that they discontinued.

clemmy

Blind buy at Frankfurt airport for just 29Euro/50ml in May. I immediately realised it was discontinued. I sniffed and loved it in the same instant. It is not a masterpiece, but perfect for a hot and humid summer day, you will smell fruity but not too sweet. The bottle is a piece of art for the shape and the colour. Grab it till you can!!!

polkadot27

I agree with another reviewer below who describes this as medicinal and syrupy. First spritz reminds me of the classic Joop scent for men with that menthol, cherry scent (if you know, you know). I do enjoy this fragrance and the rhubarb adds something different and sets it apart from other sweet scents. I can definitely pinpoint this fragrance for it's uniqueness. I do find it polarizes people; I've had some compliments with this, but others have found it too sweet and syrupy. The main notes are a subtle rhubarb which is blended behind lashings of sandalwood and a refined sweetened patchouli with a sharpness of rose. I agree with the chypre description. Sweet scents aren't my favourite, but this one is unique and the patchouli adds depth and maturity that is lacking with most sweet scents these days. It does have that mossy, patchouli depth that refines the sweetness. But it takes 5 to 10 mins to settle.

I do like like this scent, and I've enjoyed it and the uniqueness it has brought to my collection. I don't gravitate towards it all too much though, so it probably won't be a repurchase for me. Unfortunately I have dropped my bottle and have noticed there is a micro-crack in the bottle and the scent is pooling out on my cabinet, so I will need to use it up quickly. It's definitely a winter/autumn scent when there is a chill in the air, though. This is far too heavy and sweet- not at all suitable for heat or humid weather.

jlh12

I am so sad this has been discontinued... WHY? The bottle is very pretty, for starters. Ricci Ricci has good longevity, and it produces a very mysterious and alluring aura around you... it feels slightly intoxicating and narcotic... is that the "datura" note? Impressive sillage. It is a little heady, but it doesn't give me a headache, which is always a plus. If you don't like fruitchoulis, then you probably won't be a fan. I must also say, this fragrance does have a sour/tartness to it from the dominant rhubarb, but I absolutely love that. Such fragrances just work really well with my chemistry for some reason... I feel like this fragrance suits a grown woman best, like Coco Mademoiselle, for example. I can imagine Angelina Jolie as Maleficent wearing this, haha. It's definitely a vibe, and beautiful in the winter--I love it!

Ricci Ricci has become one of my very FAVORITE perfumes! I LOVE this one! This was the very first rhubarb perfume that I had ever tried - and this smells really nice with my chemistry. This is linear, it doesn't carry you on a mythic journey of any type when it moves through different phases of wear, but the linear perfumes are a great perfume to layer because they transition less noticeably from start to finish.

I know that they have recently discontinued Ricci Ricci - and there are a lot of reviews that mention that they are upset that this is harder to find now. I have recently discovered that La Rive's Fleur is extremely similar to Ricci Ricci. They are so close that they appear to be sister fragrances particularly in the dry down phase.

Ricci Ricci leads with more rhubarb and smells more like a candle shop at Christmas time --
And La Rive's Fleur leads with more of an almond and cherry type smell - which is supposed to smell more like "Poison Girl" by Christian Dior. Oddly enough, they smell extremely similar even though they lead with different notes.

Efrosini

I got this as a gift, and I still can't figure it out. It says nothing to me, I can't get any lasting impressions. I have rhubarb in the garden which I harvest every summer, and this is not rhubarb. Rhubarb is a very unique and interesting smell, but this one? I don't know, I don't know what it is. It's like when you meet a person and can't for the life of you remember their face.
I am probably not the right person to review Nina Ricci, because frankly I have never liked any of her perfumes. So take my words with a grain of salt!

Lemxx

My 2 favourite notes in this perfume and the mixture of them is FANTASTIC!! It has a sharp green smell and also it has a burnt sugar feeling. It kinda reminds me of Euphoria by Calvin Klein but Ricci Ricci is more strong and sharp. It’s mature but definitely knows how to have fun! Such an enjoyable fragrance I love it!

Amethista

I love the sandalwood in this perfume; it's a great contrast to the tartness of the rhubarb. It's definitely a feminine perfume, but is full of contradictions that complement each other beautifully. It's tart yet sweet, warm yet fresh, young but also elegant and sophisticated. Used to wear this a lot when I was younger, during daytime, but nowadays I prefer it during the night. I think it suits the latter a tad more, based on the mysteriousness of the scent. Gorgeous blend.

princesslopez4890

Fragrance net has a 1.7oz for $32.49, really thinking about trying this out especially since it’s discontinued

AisLilly

I can’t describe how happy this scent makes me - it has some nostalgic value for me and I recently got a bottle online.

The rhubarb is very happy and bright with a gorgeous undertone from the datura and tuberose. Dry down is comforting and creamy.

Sillage & longevity are fantastic.

And all this from a perfume that isn’t too expensive, absolute love!!

Fox NZ

This is a great perfume with an outstanding projection and interesting notes' development. Although not too pricy or high-branded, this one is definitely a creation worth love and attention. Such a shame they discontinued it

TheMunchkinlander

Warm, sweet and fruity. I find it suitable for dressy or formal occasions (maybe because of its warmth and the powdery notes); however there's this playfulness to it underneath that gives it a little punch and mystery, a bit of spiciness. Not too cheery, not too dark. Makes me think of New Year's celebrations and autumnal evenings at the same time. Tremendously sad it's been discontinued.

SailorV

I expected more from this, but I still like it. Ricci Ricci is a rather typical, sweet and tart fruitchouli with rhubarb as a main note. It's fresh and energizing with a little underlying warmth from the sandalwood. In the opening I find it a little shampoo-ish, but that vanishes after the scent has dried down.
My main criticism is that I don't really get the florals. I can smell a hint of rose, but the tuberose and datura are buried under the patch and rhubarb. I thought that the combination of these white florals with the rest of the fragrance sounded really intriguing, so this is a bit of a letdown to me.

When this came out in 2009, rhubarb was not a popular note, but in the last year there was a rhubarb trend in perfumery and now we have lots of rhubarb perfumes to choose from. I love this note in general and I enjoy this fragrance, but I wouldn't pick Ricci Ricci out of the current rhubarb line-up over scents like PDM Delina or Mugler Aura. If you're specifically looking for rhubarb and patch, it is a nice choice though. It's a balanced scent that is neither overwhelmingly loud and sweet, nor weak or too sharp, so it could be worn on many occasions.

stefani valini

Opening : rhubarbe, bergamote and datura: young and original
Dry down: tuberose and patchoulie. I perceive cinamon in the dry down I dont know why... I am not a tuberose lover, its the only perfume with tuberose that I enjoy . I LOVE the opening, the dry down is more mature, less my thing but its good.

Lindsconn

Ricci Ricci is this amazing, spicy, rhubarb delight! It projects amazingly and lasts for hours! I actually love wearing this on summer nights. I’ve noticed men really love this one as well!

pennyligeia

Can't really tell how I feel about this, because it's gone in ten minutes.
That is very disappointing.

KittyDeBeauvoir

I got me a bottle of this because of the rhubarb element. Also, because I have mad respect for the Nina Ricci fragrance house. Underrated house, in my humble opinion.

Personally, I don't love this one. Whilst I actually really love the super-tart and distinctive rhubarb note; there is my old treacherous friend tuberrose again. I say treacherous friend because - sheesh - we actually get along sometimes when she isn't overbearing! Most other times (like now); they're screaming for attention, and it irritates me. Unfortunately, this perfume is also prone to giving me a quick headache. *sigh*

The first blast is powerful and is hugely rhubarb-heavy. Then it settles quickly... and starts to remind me of "La Petite Robe Noire" in the sense that it becomes very medicinal. Unlike LPRN, this doesn't project a "femme fatale" smell, but more of a "heavy womanly" scent with pungent floral and deep fruits. A boss might wear this. I don't know if you like your boss...

The sillage is initially great, but (oddly for the heaviness of the scent) settles to a skin scent quickly on me. I have to bring my wrist up to my nose. Longevity is okay: It hangs around on my wrist for about 3-4 hours.

I agree this is the best rhubarb fragrance out there, but it's also competing too much with tuberose. Now that I read that it smells similar to "Euphoria", I gunderstand the "heavy womanly scent" smell I mentioned. This is nicer than the current "Euphoria" formulation, but it's not Nina Ricci's best.

EDIT: 31-07-2022:
I'm officially a douce-bag/trash-person. This perfume is absolutely *awesome* in winter! I even crave at times. So, it's polarising: despise it in warmer weather; drool for it in winter.
Not autumn - winter only!

Ricci Ricci - the first rhubarb perfume that I have tried, it is a unique fragrance note, and I'm definitely falling for this one. This walks the line between sweet and sour. It has a fruity freshness about it that keeps this from becoming extremely dark and somber. There is an optimistic vibe to this one that I really love.

Someone mentioned earlier in the reviews that "this smells like walking into a candle shop" -- YES, BINGO! And also like a fruity, sweet & sour version of potpourri.

This bottle was one of the first things that drew me to this.
I am drawn to the color "purple" on occasion - just because I love it.
I grew up in a family where all three kids fought over who was going to get the purple (grape) Flintstones vitamin!
Barney the dinosaur was purple -- this runs deep, you know --
Purple is just one of those things!

Well, I tried this fragrance as a sample - and this time I am using the bottle.
It is a beautiful bright color of purple and looks unique with my collection of perfumes.
This bottle nozzle has as solid spray to it, I love to spray this one.

The fragrance itself goes on fairly STRONG to begin with --
I sprayed this on before doing some cooking in the kitchen and caught this gorgeous waft of rhubarb in the air - forgetting that I had just sprayed this, I was delighted by the smell. This is unique - much different than most of my other fragrances. It is sweet, but also in a range deep enough where this isn't going too bright -- or too deep and dark. It is a nice chord range somewhere in the middle -- again, another alto type note - which is one of the things that I look for when I'm searching for a perfume signature note.

On my skin, Ricci Ricci wears at least 8 hours and is solid in its performance. This is a signature worthy fragrance. Don't be taken aback by the first spray. The first 30 minutes the rhubarb has a bit of a sour fruit tart sharpness which is both sweet and alluring. (This is something that I'm getting used to, but may have thrown me before trying a rhubarb perfume). Although this starts with an unusual note, this perfume gets better the longer it wears on the skin.

Because they have discontinued this and it is harder to find --
I am trying this at the same time I'm wearing other purple fragrances - and here's the comparison --

Alien: Ricci Ricci is in the same exact chord range as Alien - so if you really like the original Alien in the purple bottle, you will probably also want to try this, too. RR is more of a solid chord - and Alien has more of a musk, woodsy (cedar or birch), and ozonic composition which separates into a more symphonic type smell where you smell individual notes rather than merely the full chord. I like both - but with this comparison, I'm actually leaning more towards RR than Alien. I think RR is more classic and would transcend time better, in the long run -- as a signature. Alien seems more trendy and is more easily identified. Alien has been so popular that a lot of people can easily identify it when they smell it. I tend to choose a more unique perfume for a signature - I just like to have a perfume that is less renown to the masses than a major department store best seller.

Avon's Rare Amethyst -- Ricci Ricci is more solid than Rare Amethyst -- there is a more airy ozonic quality to Rare Amethyst. I like both for different reasons. RR is more business like and solid -- Rare Amethyst has a lilt/lift to it -- it is more playful and fun and makes me smile; I like to wear this on days when I am needing something uplifting. Both are unique - and decidedly PURPLE!

Avon's Imari Seduction - Ricci Ricci is the same exact chord range as Imari Seduction -- IS is softer and more intimate; RR is stronger, more solid. Both are good for different moods and settings. Avon's Imari Seduction is wearing so well in this test that I may need to make a point to wear this more often. It is one that I was crazy about when I first tried it, but then didn't reach for all that often, preferring to wear Avon's Imari Elixir instead. This is wearing much better on the skin than I thought! It is softer, more romantic -- no harsh edges. It is approachable - not one of those things that whops you over the head! Very nice fragrance. Lovely on. I think the name "seduction" is not fitting; it is more "romantic" than "seductive". I got a lot of compliments when I would wear Imari Seduction. People would walk across the room to ask what I was wearing. It is pretty, feminine, sweet, alluring - without being too overtly "sexy" to be taken seriously in a business meeting. Imari Seduction is another fragrance worthy of signature status.

Elizabeth Taylor's Passion - Ricci Ricci is the same exact chord range - both are altos. RR is a solid chord, no individual notes detectable --- ET's Passion is like opening Pandora's box, it has a potpourri of different smells -- like a smokey incense chord with a symphony of notes that makes it multi dimensional. ET's Passion is more "old school" - like the 1980's/early 90's fragrances with a nod toward CLASSIC and mature. BOTH are really good on... BOTH wear well with my chemistry. Out of everything that I've tried since Covid Quarantine began - ET's Passion has been the unexpected "FIND". I never would have taken the time to try it, before this time period. I delved more into ET's fragrances this year when I saw some good deals at Marshalls and Ross - not really taking them seriously -- until finding that ET's fragrances are really quite good -- and the price point is reasonable, allowing everyone to smell as if they had purchased a high end fragrance (but at a huge savings). Her line doesn't skimp on quality. The quality is definitely there, most definitely. I have a new respect for Elizabeth Taylor's fragrances after trying them. Passion is one of my very favorites so far. It is by far one of the best FINDS this year! I really LOVE IT! And it would also be one that my mother would have probably really liked. It is similar to Youth Dew by Estee Lauder, one of my mother's very favorites.

Avon's Velvet - Ricci Ricci is in the same chord range as Avon's Velvet. Both are very different on my skin. Ricci Ricci wears more solid rhubarb and wears stronger; Avon's Velvet runs more rose oude and is slightly softer with less silage and an aura.

Calvin Klein Euphoria - (I have this but have misplaced the bottle. I will have to compare this also - to see the subtle nuances between Ricci Ricci - and Euphoria).

In summary, Ricci Ricci holds its own against some of my favorite PURPLE fragrances.
This could be in the running as a new signature fragrance -- and is also a NEW PURPLE Favorite!

-----------

Update: I have been experimenting with adding this rhubarb note in with some of my other perfumes that just need a little something; something... and this is proving to be a great combination with a few that just needed a little oomph. It is a great blend with perfumes that are primarily sweet and need some alto grounding. This is working well.

-----------

This perfume wears well on clothing -

This perfume has really caught me off guard on more than one occasion. This performs well as I spray it, but I have really underestimated the power of this at times. On two separate occasions, (it is only after I have worn this and smell this on the cuff of my sleeve -- on fabric -- that I have noticed how special this perfume really is). I'm enjoying using this as a base with lighter perfumes on top, to experiment with the rhubarb note more. This really has great potential. I love the sweet and sour combination. It is delightfully unexpected.

Rating - 8.5 on a scale of 1-10; this has moments where I just find myself smiling -- I really like this, it moves into the 9.2 zone on occasion, when I catch an unexpected whiff of this one. The thing that keeps this one from being a full 10 - is that it is a bit linear, there isn't much dimension to it -- but for this reason it is consistent throughout the wear, it is a good perfume for layering with other notes because this perfume stays true to form throughout the wear, it just starts stronger and gradually fades - it doesn't evolve into different notes throughout the wear; it is linear.

I have just received this fragrance for valentines day,it was off my wish list, however i wish i had chosen something else now,
While i agree it is a lovely fragrance,i don't agree it is very strong at all,i could not smell this on me after 10 minutes and i am an over-sprayer,as i have the type of skin that eats fragrance.
I spray 10 sprays in all the relevant places and then walk through it in the air and then i do that all over again.
I even topped this fragrance up twice during the night and nothing,so weak,my partner couldn't smell it either, and it is definitely a genuine fragrance.Just to warn anyone who is nothing of try this and who has similar issues to me,i wouldn't bother soooo dissapointed!!!

I've been using this perfume for years I got tired of it. I've had it for 10 years to be exact. It smells too sweet, I'm surprised there is no vanilla in it. I didn't smell any green, citrus, or aromatic notes in it. To me it's a very warm sweet perfume with a hint of floral.

Madyana

For me this is the best tuberose ever. Feminine, yet powerful. Adult, yet playful. Strong, yet sophisticated. Straight, yet interesting. Discontinued, yet available in stores ...

VIPMEN

such a beautiful scent. WHY is it discontinued??? Huge mistake, Miss Ricci... Huge

fyetan

Burst of refreshing rhubarb on a floral / patchouli base. Projection is medium but longevity is short (2-3 hours).

Austrian_in_Denmark

Ricci Ricci is many things - one of them being: discontinued.
Why, oh why? This is one of my most energising, elegant and attractive scents. Yes, all of these at once.
Also, it is a compliment-getter.

I love rhubarb, and in Ricci Ricci it is dominant. I also notice the white flowers strongly. To me they smell like lily, but I can see that they are datura and tuberose. Combined, all these notes make Ricci a sweet and tart parfume. The patchouli (which is very strong!) and the wood give it a good frame.

Medium sillage and longevity.

Yasna

I have repurchased Ricci Ricci a few times, I think I am on my third bottle now. It is the perfect scent for fall and winter evenings as the warmth may be too strong for spring/summer. You can get away with wearing this in the daytime during a brisk fall or winter snowfall. Perfect for a date night. I haven't seen any youtube fragrance reviewers mention this little gem but it truly is lovely and unique.

sibaraa

I had to try this after my cousin told me it was her signature. Im already in love with it, dabbed a tiny bit on my wrist 2 hours ago and still smells as if i just sprayed it. I get a tangy, Citrusy rose with a dry down of tobacco flower. There is a hint of berry that comes from the rhubarb i think. This is so gorgeous. Classic and sexy!!

preslavapopova

I adore this perfume ❤ It is one of my all time favorites and in my top 3! I feel so bad that is discontinued and I have to restock it until it still available in some online shops.
Right after spraying on my skin the scent is really really sharp, sour and citrusy, almost like a masculine scent, in fact that the top notes include dozens of bergamot. I really like citrusy notes but here the bergamot is a bit too much intense even for me. 15 minutes after the initial spray base notes are showing up – dominant rhubarb and strong tuberose are taking on the scent and until the drydown this is what I feel: almost monoscent of tart, juicy and sweet rhubarb and strong, fragrant and intense tuberose. Tuberose is a note that many people can’t stand and if you aren’t serious tuberose lover, then this scent is simply not for you. Ricci Ricci smells on fragrant, thick and creamy white floral and in combination with the tart rhubarb sweetness you might get an association with retro white floral perfume from the last century. My skin has amazing chemistry with tart & sour fruity notes (rhubarb, sour cherry, blueberry, etc) and the perfumes that have dominant tart & sour fruit notes suit me best – same is with the tuberose – on my skin tuberose projects fine, classic, elegant, feminine and creamy scent.
In the base Ricci Ricci gets warmer and softer, thanks to the velvet red rose notes, warm sandalwood and fine, earthy patchouli, which combined together add depth to the scent, but it remain tart & white floral until the end. Ricci Ricci I would describe as linear scent – dominant rhubarb with tart sweetness and creamy fragrant tuberose. Ricci Ricci is deep, sensorial, noticeable, sexy and feminine scent that gives me association as final touch for a following look: dark smokey eye, waterfall of curls, high heel sandals, dark stiletto manicure, stylish clutch and skinny leather trousers. This is one of the scents that brought me so many compliments from men (the only one that provokes more compliments is Decadence Divine by Marc Jacobs, which is some sort of a phenomenon and men lose their mind over it?!) while the women perceive Ricci Ricci as too sour, too sharp and too bitter :D I personally can never get tired of Ricci Ricci – I fell in-love with this non-typical combination of sweet tart rhubarb and fragrant white floral and I found this perfume quite unique ❤
Ricci Ricc has moderate sillage and is quite long lasting on my skin (~12 hours).
I also love the packaging although I find it to bulky to travel with.

My mom and I both own this fragrance. She wears it quite often, I wear it occasionally. When I smell it on her I always feel it is too heavy and almost sickening. I honestly do quite like it When it softens a bit. Because this is What you get:

Opening:
A splash of very juicy, fruits, berries and leafs. It’s like a hike in a wet forest with fruits, especially rhubarb (it that a fruit or vegetable??). The rhubarb is sour, this opening smells sour.

After 5 minutes till approx 45 min:
It’s not sour anymore. Heavy floral smell; almost peppery. White florals abd patchouli.

Last phase:
Peppery, musky, patchouli that softens enough to be really pleasant.

Use this with caution, don’t overspray. I’m not quite sure if this is considered a summer or winter fragrance. Based on the color of the bottle and the notes and smell (quite heavy) I’d say it’s more winter or nighttime, But I have the feeling that this Could develop very nice in heath. Will try that.

shusha

I absolutely love love love the first half hour of this scent. The best presentation of rhubarb by far. In fact, the Aura by Mugler has a similar vibe but the orange blossom there made it unnecessary sharp. After the initial mesmerising half hour the tuberose kicks in and I hate it. It's too in your face and competing with rhubarb, I feel like they are really clashing for a few hours down the drydown. The tuberose does not smell good on me in general, it becomes very suffocating and vintage. But the rhubarb and everything else here is to die for. Such a shame it was discontinued, very elegant scent and the right kind of balance between fruits and florals, despite my displeasure with tuberose.

Rozan

Sweet datura, spicy patchouli, juicy rhubarb and a touch of bergamot. The whole is slightly powdered, fresh, but at the same time a little bit heavy. Feminine, sensual and original. Good durability, moderate projection.

carolinneus

This smells like a L'Oreal kids shampoo that I used back in the day, meaning I find it both hard to see this as a sensual fragrance and easy to see its playful side. RIcci Ricci is a playful, fresh scent, probably best for the evening. I feel really good about myself when I wear it. It's soft and young, but still ladylike. I can see where they're coming from with the black leather cat ears but... yeah.

I do find that there's something about rhubarb notes (and this pertains to all commercial frags I've smelled with rhubarb, e.g. Mugler's Aura) that just smells so artificial, like what a rhubarb Jolly Rancher might smell like. It smells fresh but not as tart as real rhubarb does. I don't know if it's the way that the note is structured chemically/molecularly (?), but it doesn't really meld with the rest of the notes in a sticking-out-like-a-beautiful-green-sore-thumb manner.

I really, really like the heart stage, but the opening and the dry down are a little weird. The dry down, particularly, feels like they just slapped in some patchouli assuming it goes with anything.

This is a great fragrance. Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking to show off their fun, mischievous side.

gtabasso

This is a deep fruity frag similar to Guerlain LPRN This does not smell like a tart rhubarb to me though. It is a black currant or other juicy berry with patchouli.

demhayerawsah

This was one of the first perfumes I ever bought. I was 19 when it came out and this was my signature for almost two years.
It was sweet, but not in the sickly sense and it had some sophistication through the spiciness. It was a great buy and very few people I know wore/wear this fragrance.

It is the kind of perfume that a novice wears deeming it to be rich, sexy and deep. In a way it is, but I am somewhat off Nina Ricci and the house's countless adaptions of their perfumes these days.

An easy, everyday fragrance. One that will get you many compliments.
Be careful, spraying too much may result in a bug spray kind of smell.

Sal Eless

It was a blind buy. First time I wore it I was in a very bad mood the whole day, turns out it was the reason! Terrible!!
I’m usually into sweet scents. This one is definitely not in anyway sweet and is just too much for my nose.
It is too much of everything and too spicy that I actually doubted I have worn one of my dad’s perfumes by mistake.

charlotteding

I bought this year's ago when it had just come out and liked it overall..not enough to purchase another bottle as there are nicer fragrances been released since, I don't see this much anywhere anymore is it being discontinued soon?

PurpleIris49

I wrote a review about Ricci Ricci last month, but deleted it after finally admitting to myself that I had bought a bad bottle from EBay. I re-ordered and got a good bottle the second time. This is quite floral, but on me the rhubarb and bergamot persevere throughout the wearing. I don't like rhubarb well enough to wear it as a main note, and it eventually makes me a bit queasy. I do love the bottle. It is adorable and purple! Love L'air du Temps, but frankly, this is not a favorite. Ricci Ricci is an interesting example of pairing sweet and sour. Moderate longevity and good silage.

valbona.bergman

It just hit me that while i love the fragrance a lot i hate that bow lid on the bottle...the purple color matches the feeling i get from the perfume but that silly bow is something I hate!

thepatch

My new bottle arrived today. I think it is my 5th bottle since it got out on the market in 2009. A drug for me! One spritz is so long lasting that I usually keep one bottle for a whole year and longer. This time I have purchased it on Ebay from Netherlands. This bottle of 80ml is wider instead of longer. I googled it fearing it is fake, but found it as wider at some markets. Has anyone experience the same? Mine has engraved stamp on the bottle as on the box. The scent is of course accurate, original...purple and pink shades..a piece of art! Falling in love all over again <3
I want to try Dancing Ribbon and Reflets Mysterieux as well. I wonder if ginger makes this scent more sour and fresh in Dancing Ribbon and if Reflets Mysterieux is simply the strong essence of "that" recognizable scent..I got an idea to layer the original with some good quality coconut oil, should be very sexy..

dglightblue

I've got this or it's the pinky metallic purple bottle
Smells not unlike diesel zero plus, minus the coconut.
Quite like it, it's not a powerhouse, not a freshy, I can't name the notes
Summer in humid country

Kate.love1

strong and sexy , it lasts long.

Betsywoolbright

You can easily find brand new testers on ebay for under $30. That's where I got mine. I live in the US.

Yessamin

bcars 10 where did you find it? I think it's discontinued and I would love to have one.

Anyway: A fresh and sensual floral fragance built around the Centifolia Rose and the Beauty of the Night, a unique and misterious flower...

MissButterfly

Contrary to what the naughty advert and the innocent bow may suggest, the scent itself is not sexy nor innocent.

It is, well, elegant enough for 24-year-old me. Elegant, but playful, that's why I think it suits women above 20s. To me it smells like Christmas, I wore it during Christmas market and it smelled divine during cold, winter days.

The sour rhubarb note gets calmer because of patchouli, which I adore, and I swear it smells quite edible and sweet (not sure why, maybe strong lily and rose). Honestly, besides the patchouli note, without knowing the notes I would not guess them. It is very warm, stays for days (!) on my coat and shawl, for 6 hours on the skin.

The dark purple colour of the bottle is alright, the fragrance is strong, quite syrupy. Not sure if Catwoman would wear it, but Catgirl definitely.

farahadel72

This perfume is for women not girls ...the smell is strong and sexy ....I can smell some black current too....the bottle is very pretty too ...bravo Nina

socola_1996

Back in time when i was a teenager, my mom was given this bottle as a gift, and when i smelled it at first sniff i knew definitely that this was horrible. I was too young to be able to stand sweet, heavy, sultry scent like this at that time, But now as a 21 y-o, i find this a beautiful, sexy, lovely and very feminine-in-a-grown-up-way perfume. It has a very unique scent, i dont even know what rhuburb smells like but i know this gonna get me compliments when i wear it. My mood is uplifted immediately and I feel so beautiful whenever i spray it on myself (which rarely happens) it's not cloyingly sweet and also not light, it's quiet but also not innocent. My daytime scent in winter is Un bois vanille by serge lutens because i love how lovely vanilla scent smells like under the sun, and at night i choose Ricci Ricci to create a more sophisticated and seductive appearance. I dont think this is a sexy fragrance that makes man drawn to you physically (like Narcisso for Her can do) but more like a beautiful fragrance that helps women feel like they should love themselves more right now.

thepatch

My best perfume. I wear it for years and will have it always. Nothing compares to it. It has some subtle and soft sourness inside which makes me obsessed. It is The One!

pinky_brit

Love the opening, is so unique! It definitely smells like a man's cologne at the beginning, but I love perfumes with a bit of a masculine touch.
But the opening fades too quickly, the drydown is nice but it lacks character, I was disappointed by that.

Whit

Wow, what an unusual perfume this is! I really wasn't sure what to expect with this, after all, it was a blind buy and the reviews were all over the place. It's sweet and tart, like others have mentioned. It's also fun and girly, but has a sexiness to it as well. I also find it has a spicy warmth, definitely coming from the patchouli. Madrona's review, calling it "Rhubarb Euphoria Angel" is on point. That's kinda what it smells like. If there's white flowers present, I don't smell them on me; it's mostly a candied version of Euphoria that I smell, which is fine by me. I can't comment on longevity or sillage because I only sprayed a bit on the top of my hand, and it may develop more if applied to the warmer areas of my body. For now though, this is a delightful addition to my wardrobe and I'm glad I took the risk.

Update: So I'm commenting on sillage and longevity. Sillage starts off big, then slowly goes to moderate, so spray with caution. Longevity, I can still smell it the next day, so it's tenacious. It also sticks to clothing rather well too; my sweater had filled my entire closet with this aroma. It was awesome!

Tara_Dan

There is something about this perfume that I am not able to put my finger on. It's a sweet tart fragrance, and is somehow also cold. Maybe this is because most other sweet-smelling perfume is also accompanied by vanilla or something that lends a warmer tone. The patchouli in this one meets the rhubarb a little less than halfway, but I think it's responsible for the 'coldness' of this perfume.

What's even more intriguing is a very elusive quality it seems to have. It's a fragrance that doesnt last on me, it's gone in a couple of hours, but every now and then, as I am going about my day, I catch a whiff of something beautiful, tender. It's like the elf queen from the Lord of the Rings played by Kate Blanchett - cold, distant but still beautiful and wise. And of course, difficult to pin down, or read, or fully understand.

To me, who likes a challenge, I feel I want to own this. I've been on the hunt for a fragrance that makes me sit up and notice it. This was a sample that I've had for a while now. Time for a bottle now!

slavka.filipova

Very beautiful, refreshing, womanly scent. I smelled it for one minute and i ordered it. Very strong at the beginning but very long lasting scent. I don't wear it much because it bothers my coworkers but for night out with friends is gorgeous.

For The Love of Perfume

This is quite a happy, refreshing, mind stimulating fragrance. I love the smell and I can't stop smelling my writs. What a beautiful concoction of notes. Mmmmmmmmm

I own this and I have owned it for about 3 years now. I often reach for it in Autumn and winter- I find it too sweet and rich smelling for summer. I will say this fragrance didn't blow me away when I first purchased it- it was a blind buy. Overall However I do really like this fragrance but the first spritz is overbearing cloying sweetness- but after an hour or so I get gentle whiffs of a creamy smooth sweet fruity floral patchouli scent- This scent has a really lovely drydown and is wonderful with my skin chemistry. It is sweet creamy and mouthwatering with my skin chemistry and the drydown on my skin is like nothing I have ever identified before- I really love it. So if you are put off by the initial overly sweet suffocating spray- just wait it out- it is worth it- it is so creamy and warm and inviting once it settles- I am not really a fan of sweet scents- but this is an autumn creamy sweet scent done well. I am glad I have this one in my collection. I do not overuse this scent however- it is not for everyday wear in my opinion as I find it very rich and sweet. I reach for it when I need something different that is also warm and inviting and that I know works with my skin chemistry. Also I should add- I have not yet been complimented when wearing this scent- no one ever detects it on me- I feel the sillage is weak and it is a skin scent once it settles- but it does last 4/5 hours on me which is average.

Incredible scent. What a combo-- rhubarb and rose. VERY different, appealing, and classy.

Arabian Girl

OMG! What a stunner!

I have to admit though, the very first squirt of this didn't impress me much! It was indeed a lovely smell but I wasn't that into it. My first impression of it was that it was reminiscent of the 90s. But I noticed that each time I try it, it unveils more and more secrets.
Other people here commented that they didn't realize how beautiful this frag was until they received tons of compliments. I totally get it. This is like a shy beauty! It doesn't give it all to you from the first encounter. The more you court it, the more you get intoxicated and addicted to it. It must be some magical brain receptors interaction with this perfume.
Delicate sweet rhubarb mixed with white flowers and sandalwood. Suit yourself :)

sugahuni

A stunning, floral yet slightly musky fragrance.Smells absolutely beautiful.Sillage & longevity are great :).Love this scent ❤

mylancome

The Nina Ricci I really like is L'Air du Temps and Love In Paris, sadly these two perfume is no longer available in my country, as people refer them as old style. I thought of I may never find other Nina Ricci I love again.

One day, as I was shopping for shower products at an apothecary, there’s a smell that I had miss for over 10 years, the smell of beauty arcade in shopping mall, where the economy was good, people willing to spend extras on purchasing perfumes as Christmas gifts, test spraying perfumes at various brand counters.

So I ask the sales girl what was that smell, and she showed me Nina Ricci’s Ricci Ricci. She said she was wearing this today.

Never thought the new generation of Nina Ricci perfumes can smell that good, although it’s mostly synthetic notes. I didn’t buy it immediately, cause to me, it wasn’t as good as the brand use to be. Just gave a test spray on my inner arm and off shopping other place. In the 2 hours’ time, I still can smell Ricci Ricci from my dry skin. It does remind me of the festive season. And it was on 35% discount, I decided to go back to that apothecary and purchase 2 bottles.

A Fragrantica member said Ricci Ricci smelled like Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir, not really, but close. La Petite Robe Noir is cherry cough syrup, while Ricci Ricci is rhubarb citrus . Both perfume share the same style, sweet, youthful having fun and purplish.

I was a fool, never give Ricci Ricci a chance 7 years ago, her first launch. This is Christmas in a bottle.

The current economy is so bad, people on the street are mostly in bad mood. Wearing Ricci Ricci makes me happily, wearing nice clothes and makeup.

Update: I get the vibe of my discontinued love, Lancome Magnifique.

Planet_X

What a compliment getter! Was only wearing for few hours out and about and three women commented it! Probably a record, despite my huge wardrobe.
Rhuburb at its best, not too sour, not mega sweet, yet it is so juicy and bright, instant mood lifter, so lovely. It has spicy-fruity-unusual floral qualities, might be that mysterious datura gives a kick, I very much enjoy this decant from lovely CrystalLullaby and high chances I will go for a full bottle, special indeed.

Lila86

Really special if you think all these weak fruity or too sweet parfumes out there. I would buy it again if could last longer.

Lilypads

I adore this perfume. I first smelt it's amazing sillage on a woman who had come to my place of work for an interview. Her scent entered the room before she did and it stayed there long after she had gone! I asked her what she was wearing and she said a Nina Ricci one the one in the purple bottle. I googled it and thankfully purchased the correct one. Unfortunately another work colleague had overheard this conversation and she also bought it - testament to how this perfume has impact but detrimental to me as I don't like smelling identical to people I work with.
It's a warm, sensual scent but fruity too. When I wear this perfume I always get asked by other women what I'm wearing. In fact, my mum asks me every time!
Its not sickly sweet like a lot of modern fragrances. I've grown bored of modern Perfumes and reformulations of classics and I'm now obsessed with vintage chypres but this beaut will always have a place on my dresser (5th bottle in two years).

blake.lee

Smells like my grandpa when I was a little kid. He wore Old Spice and drove a car with vinyl seats and had one of those huge grey, old school cell phones. This perfume smells like falling asleep on his hot, vinyl car seat with a bag of sweets in my hand. I can smell granddad's Old Spice drifting in the air and hear him talking on his massive cellphone to my grandma who was probably the only other person in the world with a cellphone at that time. This fragrance is sour, tart, sweet, floral, spicy and has a hint of vinyl car seat and 1980's hip grandpa.

"HOLY GRAIL!"

8th bottle and still counting...

Soofiya

Ricci ricci is a sweet floral fruity with a woodsy dry down, playful, and great for party and clubbing but it's also powerful and sexy
The most strong note on me is rhubarb,it's there from the first spray til the end,and gives the scent a tart, sour and sweet fruity undertone
I also can detect a mostly strong patchouli note here, adding woodsy dry undertone to delicious rhubarb juice also providing a deep, dark and masculline vibe
Florals(tuberose and datura)are really soft on me,standing behind the rhubarb, patch combo providing a bright, feminie vibe to balance dark mascullinity and the result is this powerful sexy scent.when I say dark I don't mean black, I mean just a tad darker than pink
I can also smell something berryish.it may be just rhubarb or rose
I am a rose lover so i'm really glad because of the dominant powerful rose on me which shows up after a while
I prefer to wear it during cold seasons or nights out, very good longevity and sillage and a beautiful bottle that suits perfectly the redish juice inside it
Not something I love but I can see it can be signature of a lot of modern ladies. It's full of energy of life
❤❤❤

Madrona

"Rhubarb Euphoria Angel" is not as catchy of a name as Ricci Ricci but I find it describes this scent pretty well.

There's an opening blast of a VERY real rhubarb, smells identical to the rhubarb that grows in the garden where I grew up. Acidic/sour green with fuchsia sweetness. The patchouli comes across as the dirty/weedy/BO patchouli in Angel on my skin, but pairing it with the sparkle of the rhubarb steers it more towards a slightly darker, sweeter, creamier, stickier sour winegum/candy apple Euphoria.

cpharr13

Something magical happens when patchouli and sandlewood are blended together well and Nina Ricci nailed it! Its all incompassing...and breath taking...she's a heroine indeed! Very dark but not gothic or scary...she's a lady....with a secret!

Sasco

Pretty bottle, pretty perfume - pretty damned wonderful!

This was a double-blind buy, in that I'd neither sampled it, nor had I read the reviews here on Fragrantica. Sometimes, when I'm feeling a little blue, I like to go on eBay, types in perfumes, click on 'auction' and 'time ending soonest' and see what's out there. This is how I found Ricci Ricci. Beautiful little bottle, and just £3.50 for 30mls!

I came on to Fragrantica immediately after buying it, and was a little *befuddled* at what I found! It was floral-fruity/masculine/old-fashioned. It smelled like Angel/Lady Million/Euphoria/Jungle L'Elephant. Like energy drinks and like Christmas. HUH??!! How could it possibly be all these things? What the heck had I just purchased?

Weirdly, it is all these things and more. I do get a touch of Euphoria in the top notes, and I get the honeyed character of Angel as develops. It's sharp and yet warm, sour but sweet. I'm blown away by the rhubarb note - who knew it could smell so good? And the patchouli is a team-player, rather than hogging the limelight. It is fruity, and it is floral, but in an elegant, refined manner. This is no sugar bomb - it's a grown-up kinda sweet that I think would suit absolutely anyone of any age or gender. It also has a 'Nina Ricci' hallmark to it - a quality which somehow unites all her fragrances right through from L'air du temps to the more gourmand apple collection.

Both uplifting AND sultry.

Edit: this has made it into my top three. Something about that rhubarby, honeyed patch thing going on......I just can't get enough of it. Addictive.

loonad

this is the 4th time i have purchased this perfume-this time i went for the 80ml bottle.this is a winter staple for me. i love it. great compliment getter.love the bottle.

Lyla Rose

If I have to pick up the prettiest bottle in my collection, Ricci Ricci will be the winner! This bottle it's so incredibly beautiful, that I would have bought it even if the scent was a scrubber. The fact that I adore the scent is a plus! This perfume is a perfect match to the bottle, very elegant, bright, very party appropiate. I feel really beautiful when I wear it. Personally, I would call it a cold weather scent, it's just too strong for hot weather, at least for me. I recognise a small resemblence with Angel, but I much prefer Ricci Ricci above Angel. Everytime I wear it, a strong honey smell hits me, so strong It brings me back to my childhood time, when I would eat fresh honey, (from my granfather's bees), straight from the jar. It's strange, because I see no honey between the notes, but it's certainly there, and I love it. Who knew the combination between rhubarb and patchouli would smell so heavenly?

therockabillyequestrian

I love this perfume. It's the first proper perfume I ever had. Sadly it makes my nose itch terribly and so does Nina by Nina Ricci so I think I must be allergic to something the brand uses in their perfumes. In fact when I'm wearing one my sister also gets an itchy nose if we're in the same room. Ricci Ricci is sweet and girly, lasts a decent time. It would be my signature if I wasn't slightly allergic.

carmen.hansmorgine

Okay I tried a sample before but somehow the actual Ricci Ricci I bought smells way different than the sample (the sample is way lighter and very delightfully soft and feminine).
Anyways. This is a perfume that I would consider to wear after I turn 25. It's rather strong but to be honest I don't dislike it. It reminds me of my mom (because Ricci Ricci smells like CK Euphoria she wears?). It's a warm perfume the freshness is just about right to wear it out at the end of winter and the beginning of the spring. Overall I like it.

Purplegem

A sharp, strong fragrance. Bit overpowering. I wouldn't say it smells like rhubarb, but rhubarb can be sharp. I can notice the patchouli in it. It smells quite spicy to me and I was very surprised to see pepper isn't mentioned. When I last viewed this page a couple of months ago, rose was voted at the top and now its near the bottom. I remember people commenting they didn't think they would like it from how it was described and the notes. I remember thinking I would like it and I didn't. Couldn't detect bergamot.

steffie_s

I bought this blind and really only for the bottle. The fragrance notes read quite well and I thought that it may not be too bad on me. I hate the top notes and I can't describe it but they seem quite sour. As the perfume settles and the top notes disappear it smells better on me. The sillage must be good even if I can't smell the fragrance after a couple of hours and I have had a few positive comments about how good it smells on me. Sometimes it has to take a comment from another person to give you a new perspective on a fragrance that the wearer considers as 'so-so'. Yes, I may consider purchasing it again once I have used up more of my current perfume stash.

Hipchick40

Sometimes I like to try a perfume out just because the reviews make me think it will be a certain thing and maybe I won't like it. This is one of those times. It sounded sour and brash and how on earth can rhubarb be good in a scent? I am on a cleaning binge as I prepare for another back surgery and lo and behold, I found a decent sized sample of this so I braced myself and went for it. I do agree that the opening isn't so great. It is a bit sour and infriendly. It is hard to describe but I don't like it very much. But within about fifteen minutes it finds its footing and becomes marvelous! It is perfumey for sure, this isn't a young fragrance mist of spun sugar. But it's not standoffish either. It is sweet in a mature way and has layers. I smell the sweet facet of rhubarb, not raw cut fruit but cooked and sugared. Then that mixes with a nice patchouli that isn't dirty or too earthy but nicely balanced. And in the background is a soft floral menagerie giving a bit more interest and sofistication. To me, it isn't my signature scent but it is signature worthy and certainly the most grown up Nina I've tried thus far. I like it. I like it a lot!

GeorgiaMoxie

I like this a lot more once the heart opens, at first it's a very sharp and very sour sweet rhubarb which I admittedly recoiled at the first time I tried it.

Then it mellows out and the datura peeks through the rhubarb once the patchouli reigns it in and there's when I absolutely adore it. Cheeky indeed, I think it's a fantastic word to describe it. Very playful, not quite conforming, and still refined and "French" smelling. I don't have anything else that smells quite like this and I think that it's the use of the datura which isn't very common and they avoided the candy floss (cotton candy) sweet and instead used the rhubarb.

Longevity is ok, on my wrists it wore off by the time it hit around 3:00 during a normal work day but could still smell it where I sprayed it on my chest before I dressed.

Hejjdy

I absolutely love this fragrance! First I fell in love with its advertisement. I went to a "Müller" drugstore and tried this out. It was amazing. I had to buy it.
It's a unique, really feminine fragrance.
I'm surprised that there's no vanilla in the parfume pyramid.

This was a blind buy and I had hoped that I would smell the rhubarb and the patchoulie notes the most, but instead it's white floral and rose that I get strongly from this perfume. I definitely don't smell a juicy tart, as others have described, but more of a floral scent. I will still wear it, but it is not what I had expected.

Update: The second time I wore it I could smell the juicy rhubarb note a lot more, perhaps because it was a colder day than the first time I wore it.

ShiraJemJem

I got this perfume as a gift. The person who gave it to me told me that she think this perfume is very me and she pretty sure I would like it.

And yes, I do. I really do.
The first thing I love about this perfume is the bottle. So unique and beautiful. Genius design!
This perfume smells very strong, sweet, funny and cheeky.
I agree with the comments about top notes are pretty sharp. But I'm okay with it because when it dry down I think it smells amazing! Sweet floral but not too sweet.

This perfume is just like me who is always sweet but I have some big 'cheeky sexy' side inside of me. LOL
The lasting power is very good. I can smell it over 7 hours. Very impressed with it.

If you like strong feminine fragrance which is not too feminine, I think this perfume is a good choice for you.

The only problem that I have with this fragrance is its vaporizer break quite easy.
It happened with couple of my bottles.

Vegas Pauli

My coworker wears this and its smells amazing on her. Shes a mature woman, and although this is fruity and slightly sweet, it no way smells cheap or young. I would describe it is fruity floral with an elegant woody background. She says its too powerful to put more than one spray on at a time. Long lasting, potent and smells like heaven...what more does anyone need? Nina Ricci has a winner here.

Dee5

Absolutely gorgeous. I smelled this on someone and I could not ignore the lovely wafts floating my way. I almost asked what it was but did not. I regretted that but I did find it a few months later by accident. On my skin, it smells unique, sexy, mysterious. Musky and floral yet clean and fresh at the same time. I feel very sophisticated wearing this. Sillage and longevity is very good - I can smell it for hours after application. I reserve this one for special occasions. This is a must have for my collection.

I've been wanting to review Ricci Ricci for a long time; I've had a sample of it lying around ever since I got interested in rhubarb as a perfume note last year, and seemed to like this one after a little try in a store. But I've had trouble forming a definitive opinion about it even after giving it several thorough tests; I don't exactly dislike it, and at times I discern something very pleasing and even interesting in it, but most of the time it just reminds me of hairspray in a bad way.

I think the trouble is I only really like patchouli when it plays a supporting role, and here it's very much the main player - at least that's my experience, although I see most other reviewers don't agree. The rhubarb here isn't tart or juicy at all, especially after the first little while when it's more present, it's really overpowered by the patchouli. At its strongest, an hour or so in, I really dislike this, at that point it's almost nauseatingly sweet in that sharp way patchouli sometimes has.
Top marks for longevity though: I could still smell this on my wrist the next morning, and by then the drydown had calmed down to a much softer, more powdery and pleasant sweetness, probably more sandalwood than anything else.

nehash_1

I like the smell. Moderate longevity on me (3 - 4 hrs). Pretty bottle too :) I would rate it 6 on 10.

Lybarra118

I agree 1000% with perfuMEOW below. Judging by the main accords listing at the top, I never, ever would have purchased this for myself, but I luckily received it in a swap.
White floral? Negative.
It's sweet, sour, rhubarb and patchouli, over a soft floral mix - in that order. There is a tiny hint of tuberose at the end, but it's barely noticeable and I'm not complaining. I don't care for tuberose.
Sheesh! What a wonderful surprise in an absolutely gorgeous little bottle!

The rhubarb is so sweet and tart, it nearly makes my mouth water. The patchouli, smelling it from the bottle, is quite dry, but once it's on skin/clothes, it mingles so beautifully with the rhubarb. It's needed to keep the scent from being too sweet, in my opinion. This is my first rhubarb scent (I think) and you better believe I'll be trying more.

This is quite the attractive, sexy little scent. Definitely date night worthy.
Longevity is very long and projection is moderate, but it pretty much stays moderate all day. Total win!

PerfuMEOW

Looking at the notes, I would NOT purchase this. Got it in a swap and it is surprisingly lovely! Plus, the bottle is beautiful!

rooa

Received this as a gift and wore it a few times. I guess I had other priority perfumes to test.
I am rediscovering this scent in one of those days "in the mood for something sensual" and I will definitely finish the bottle shortly :)

Sevparfumaddict

Perfect bottle design. Clean smelling. Strange but it reminds me of la petite robe noire.

DiaAnna

Beautiful scent , explosion first 5 minutes like wow and then starts fading slowly but for sure , not that silage and long lasting thing I've been reading about over here , both moderate on me , probably clothes are luckier .

loonad

This is my third time buying this scent and as always it is a winner for me. so sweet and sexy at the same time.a staple in my collection. just superb. this scent has given me a good story: once i was at the gym and the lady who was on the cross trainer next to me asked me what i was wearing as i smelled divine. i told her it was ricci ricci and she was so impressed that she had me note the name down for her.

Eira Sol

I imagine this is the way Willy Wonka smells. Sweet, but also a bit sour as a symbol of his inner struggles. Patchouli kind of suits him too.

Ricci Ricci has a slight candy quality to it which you can compare to the types of candy who are sour on the outside, but sweet on the inside (I am specifically referring to the candy shaped as pink and blue feet if you know it).

It is certainly not boring. I have never smelled rhubard in any other fragrances. Also the bottle is wonderful! A nice encounter, but I will not buy again.

electricmind

Upon first spray, this smells super generic. A bit sour and floral. As it drys down, the fruitiness comes up a notch, and something beautiful emerges from the background giving it depth and sensuality: bergamot softened and smoothed by the tuberose. Gives it a slightly powdery touch.

There is a sharpness that comes up that kind of battles with the rubarb sourness. It must be the patchouli and sandalwood. Overall, this is quite well rounded. The dry down brings more and more of the tuberose. The rose is deeply buried in there.

There is a lot of depth to this fragrance. There is something exciting about it, but also very soft and sensual. This may be the quintessential feminine fragrance. Not coy and girly, and not matronly either. Pure yin, sensual, enticing, but not aggressive. It draws you in.

There is something a little chalky about it as it drys down, but overall, I love it!

ETA: It took me awhile to start wearing this. It is very womanly and not for the prissy or girly types. I had been wearing Lola by Marc Jacobs everyday. But I decided to give this a full wear today. Two sprays at 10am and at 8pm, I still smell it. Talk about longevity! I am in love with this. I don't know that i could wear this every day, but I felt like a WOMAN with this on!

Fhaldara

I like many Nina Ricci perfumes, but this one is definitely not for me. It starts off very sweet, and then develops a strong spicy note. Not my type of fragrance but it has a lot of longevity and sillage, I could still smell the one tiny spray I tried hours later. I do love the bottle, but will probably try to swap this one.

courtney.mcintyre

This fragrance is literally one of my favourites ever. It's so unique and like nothing I've ever smelt before but smells amaaaazing.

Fruity, sweet (but not too sweet) and sexy. Its top note of rhubarb is bizarre but it works! I'm not even a massive fan of rhubarb but I just can't get enough. I reach for this every single day and usually carry it around with me in my bag so I can smell of it aaaall day. That's the only downfall - the longevity isn't fantastic. It's okay, probably around 5 hours on my skin before I need to top it up again! But smells good start to finish.

If you like fruity perfumes but don't want to smell like a teenager, this one is for you. Also who doesn't love the bottle?! Best Nina Ricci perfume by farrr.

caylarhene

After reading the reviews I had to buy this myself. Its such a lovely unique fragrance. Doesn't smell like anything else. A unique perfume like rihanna rebel fluer. Something I can wear all year and feel sexy and salsy. My own fragrance and smell. Don't have to worry about smelling like everyone else. And the bottle is beautiful. U give this perfume an 8/10 I will be wearing this all winter and maybe all year. This is a winner.

valbona.bergman

it starts more on the fresh side with a lot of depth and then it dives and develops on a spicy and sweet scent which has something i can't put my finger on it! It is delicious and very sexy ,i love it! contemporary diva

update: well i just figured it out that the intoxicating note that i find absolutely addicting in this perfume is patchuli... shame on me but back then i did not encounter patchuli so strong in any other of my perfumes and was unable to recognise the note...and since i am a big fan of tuberose, this perfume is marvelous! i find it a unique combination (based on my limited knowledge of perfume ofcourse)

jamuna.uzkuryte

I don't like rhubarb nor patchouli, but I love this scent! Very strange! I smell the sweetness of honey and sourness of lemon, just gorgeous!

daisy 2005

YOU PERFUME IS PRETTY!!!

Jadelynn

The more I wear this, the more I love it. It is indeed a very sexy perfume, but the sort of sexy that is both flirtatious and exotic. It's the sort of come-hither scent that's perfect for dates when you want to draw someone closer to you.

Update Oct 8, 2014: I have had two friends now tell me that I shouldn't wear this during the day as it's "too sexy!"

chjena

To be honest, Ricci Ricci was my absolutely top for this summer. The king here is a rhuburb - sour, juicy and fresh, but already sprinkled with sugar, ready to bake delicious cake. It is possible to smell a bergamot too, but I'm not very sure of the flowers presence here, in this fragrance. Actually, I don't really need this, cause I was looking for something fruity and joyful, and these are words which describe Ricci Ricci in the best way. For women, who are playful and impish, who like to blink her eyes more and more, with an extremely flirting manner.

Proper only for hot days, combined with lower temperatures it becomes too sour and cold.

the_new_esta

Super strong yukky berries in the beginning and then old lady musk. It's not the most offensive perfume out there - but it is disgusting.

Karineabdel

This IS a very good surprise ! I exchanged it one month ago And i just tried it. It IS very plesant ! I was a bit effraid of the rhubarb note because i disliked brit red ( That has a lot of rhubarbe That was sour) And i dont normally like patchouli but this one IS Sweet And calming. I recommend it !

Whiteclimax

Love it!
At first it smells a bit medicinal: you can feel the rhubarb. Then becomes very attractive: that patchouli!
This can become a really good signature! Perfect for night and carnivals.
With this fragrance I can close my eyes and imagine that I walk in the morning dew.

ismellsogood

This grew on me.

I like the attention I receive when wearing this.. People like it.

I wore this on the school run and leaned into a friends car and she breathed in 'mmmmmm. what is that smell'' It is lovely and sweet perfect for winter months... It is a sexy perfume for sure... not that pricey....Bottle is adorable too.

fiouu

I like this. Rhubarb + tuberose + rose makes a Great combo. I find this more suitable for colder months as it can turn overpowering on warm ambient. Heat amps it's sweetness and can be quite headache inducing. I find this too serious for a night out. I wear this mostly to work and avoid overspraying.

missferrero_rocher

well i can say is that, this perfume makes your day completely irresistible, i like the smell of its sweetness, fruity and long lasting frangrance , but i suggest that, u better wear this on winter, as it makes u cool and hot ;)

In mood

I like this perfume. It's sweet but not so sweet as Flowerbomb or Fancy. There is something in it that reminds me of a good red wine.

melange

A thick, deep, juicy scent.

As many other reviewers, I can't smell rhubarb (which I love, and would immediately recognize), but rather forest berries. Perhaps gooseberries, too.

If you're afraid of patchouli, give Ricci Ricci a chance; my skin usually amps warm notes like there's no tomorrow, but this sandal/ patchouli base sits on my skin pretty tamely, not overpowering the juicy thickness of the fruit cocktail.

This is a versatile scent which can take you from day to night.

I'd identify the target group as energetic, ambitious women in their late twenties/ early thirties.

lchan1216

Have this in a tiny tester bottle, and I must say it is an absolutely gorgeous scent. I don't really smell the rhubarb, I smell more of a musky floral on my skin. Its not too sweet and makes me feel very sophisticated. Promising myself a full bottle one day!

Miriana93

Divine. I just love this. So dark and sexy. So sweet and potent. At first it smells floral/fruity but then it turns sweet and musky on my skin. I love the beginning of the fragrance and the ending. The middle part not as much as I would want to, but its still spectacular. I loved the smell so much when I tested it that I gave myself a headache constantly smelling it. I just bought a bottle of it. Can't wait to use it. Such a delicious scent.
1 or 2 sprays are enough since this is very strong. Last night I sprayed too much, and it was overwhelming. A little bit goes a long way.

lirael00

This one is not the best or the worst. The opening starts minty (at least for me), really it's like a refershing chewing gum. But after a while something else comes out, more fruity and sweet- it's probably a rhubarb although I wouldn't identified it as that. The lasting power is okey. I like it quite a lot, but it's definetly not one of my all time favourites.

shirlis

I so wanted to like this perfume being a Ricci fan and I almost bought it as a blind buy. I was desperate to smell the same delicate notes as L'Eau du Temps but the tester on me was horrible. The opening smelt fruity-blackcurrant perhaps? and as it settled reminded me more of the Youth Dew my mother used to where when I was a child. Eventually it bacame sickingly sweet and cloying on my skin, almost artifical and cheap. I am just so glad I tested it first because it would have been on Ebay within hours.

Yay me

Amazing like like so much

ScarlettX

A delicious sweet fragrance full of patchouli. This is girly and playful like many other Nina Ricci's perfumes. That's why I love them.
It's sweet but not sickly sweet for my taste. A comforting and smooth aroma.
There are some citrus notes in top notes and a lot of patchouli in base notes.
Lovely!

Aerides

This scent brings opens with a mix of fresh citrus and rhubarb. The rhubarb is tart and almost spicy as though there were a hint of ginger included in the mix. I then settles into a sweet white floral and rose scent mixed with a musky sandalwood and patchouli combination which gives the fragrance an almost woodsy quality. I was reminded of ginger and rhubarb crumble, potpourri and antique wooden furniture.

HelloCoffee

Can you guys help me? I recently ordered this from Fragrance Net. It's spicy, woodsy, and peppery…But I'm concerned because lots of people are saying it's sweet and fruity, and I'm not getting that….I'm wondering did I get an old bottle?

Regardless, I love it…..it's almost like an incense, very warm and intoxicating with a very subtle sweet/spicy feel. I just don't get the fruit scents.

genny17

This is definitely a rich, even boozy perfume, it has a certain thickness/ sweetness, I like it, but it isn't my style really, I will gift it to my mother in law, it isn't young per se, nor is it oldish, it just is a rich, heady classy scent, for fall and winter..I think the Indian tuberose and the moonflower amplify the dense side of the scent..more than the patchouli which is real light.
.it lacks a certain freshness, I think if oversprayed it would easily get suffocating...but it is a Ricci , it is nicely done, in its category..it has chypre accords, with a rich berry vibe..I much prefer the Dancing Ribbon version.

L'Arlesienne

Perfectly sweet fruitchouli for women who love their fumes to be tart, sweet, juicy and loud, with an insolent french twist. Ricci Ricci is a mature sweet fruitchouli that might nit appeal to the younger, softer crowd wearers of Nina or to the classic floral wearers of Premier Jour and the likes. But for the ladies who love Flowerbomb, Miss Dior Cherie (2005), Givenchy Play Intense, Jimmy Choo edp, this is perfect. For me is the right combination of patch, fruits and flowers. Perfect sillage, great longevity (10h plus on me).

Musky4

This is one that I really dislike. I don't know whether it's the rhubarb note or the moonflower, but one (or both) of them totally ruined this for me. I made the mistake of spraying this on my neck in a department store (having never smelt it before) immediately before going to collect my child from nursery… BIG mistake. I thought I'd like this fragrance but it just didn't suit me at all and I've never felt so uncomfortable and self-conscious wearing a fragrance as I did that day. I've learnt my lesson and won't be going near this again anytime soon.

orchidlover

I like the thick sweetness of it and the very light fruit smelling engaged to the spices in a creamy way (very very sophisticated scent, not girlish like Nina and Pretty Nina).

These spicy notes are not so sharped than Swarovski Aura, but these 2 frags are quite similars for me. Aura has a srong but feminine spice base, I think the difference is only the balance and the fruits in Ricci Ricci.

I definitely put it to my wishlist.

Kyles

I'm so intrigued by this fragrance, I think I may buy this as a blind buy! It certainly sounds like an interesting and daring fragrance. The mix of sweet and sour, fruity - yet floral.. it's left me feeling so inquisitive. I adore the advert, definitely one of my favorites in advertising fragrance. I would love to try something different, it's a risk I'm willing to take! ;)

nikoleta1

Gorgeous purple bottle, sexy perfume, min longevity, too bad.

meiko

I loved Nina Ricci perfumes since I was a kid... And I still don't know what it is that secret ingredient that makes all of her perfumes so similar? If anyone here has a clue, please do tell :)
There's something there that drives me mad to the point of ectasy :D May I say I feel like the sexiest woman alive wearing this perfume! So dark, sensual, feminine, filled with some secret power (I'm thinking it's the patchouli lol) and eroticism..

vanillary29

Love at first sniff! Starts with gorgeous tangy rhubarb (I also smell berries even though they aren't mentioned in the notes), and mellows down to a delicious blend of patchouli, rose and sandalwood. Sophisticated but sexy at the same time! The longevity and sillage are tremendous, so please use a light hand.

Reemy

it's so strong and heavy, but doesn't smell like any other perfume! unique.
but it's not an every day use perfume, that's for sure.

KATERINA LABROPOULOU

This is indeed a very sexy perfume, very long lasting with a pretty bottle too. I was very pleased to add this gem to my perfume collection as I prefer oriental, spicy and gothic perfumes. Best for winter but also suitable for a cool summer night while on vacation. Ricci Ricci is just a pleasant surprise, try it!!! p.s. it reminds me a lot of PR xs l'excess edp only less sweet.

Juliana6

I've realized the perfumes were like the books- if you are not ready for the book or the perfume, you don't like them, you can't appreciate their beauty and their value. It happened with me and this perfume- I thought it was too strong, too sharp, too... Today the weather is cold, windy and rainy, and the time has come. I'm starting to love this unique scent.

Joann111911

I really love the scent of this perfume... So elegant and sexy! I found my self so loyal to this perfume that i dont want to buy or wear any other perfumes than this... Its worth the money!

ArtzGirl

A dear friend just sent me some new samples to try - and this was the first one that I rolled out of the package. From the package, this smells like a potpourri of incense, which is a smell that I dearly love. Incense brings back so many great memories of great book stores and novelty shops in and around the NYC area and in Southern CA. Not to mention, the incense that I bring home to use in my house throughout the year!

This goes on quite strong, but is drying down very nicely. The longer it wears on my skin, the more sweetness is arriving. This is a fragrance that will wear very differently based on your individual chemistry. On my skin, it has a slight candy smell - almost like a candied apple that you would find at the county fair. Sweet and innocent, but then a deeper base note that grounds this from becoming sickeningly sweet. This is what makes this fragrance irresistible.

Several women wrote that this fragrance is a great hit with men, I can certainly see why. It has a depth in the middle to lower alto range, so it is feminine, but not so sweet that it is sickening.

The notes in this are very warm and inviting. This reminds me a little bit of L'Elephant, which was another great scent that this fragrance friend sent me a couple of months ago. This is a little bit more upbeat and lighter than L'Elephant and could be worn year round in my area of Southern California.
This is a bit more grounding than Womanity. Womanity has more of a chemical lift off the skin, its hard to describe until you actually sample that - and see what I'm talking about.

Ricci Ricci is much more of a "classic" scent - and I feel you could wear this better throughout the year, rather than wearing it only in the winter. This could definitely become a "signature scent" - I like it that much!

She's definitely found my favorite fragrance niche'! This is opening with a gorgeous scent! I can't wait to wear this and see how this blends with my chemistry a few hours later!

This is one of those that I can't stop smelling on my arm! That's a great sign that the chemistry is great!

den1011

This is my new love!
I had to delete my first review, since I'd written that I found it sour, and it's definitely NOT sour!! I don't know what happened to my nose when I first smelt it. Maybe the perfume was off.
Now that i've smelt it again I've fallen absolutely in love with it.
I find it very original. The rhubarb note gives it something special.
On my skin the datura definitely stands out, and it has a decent longevity, about 6 or 7 hours. But I love it so much that I wish it lasted longer!!
oh and men seem to love this fragrance!

bonnie003

Wow! First spray it seemed sweetly grapelike/plumish then an explosion of sour/sweet flowers/fruit? not for me i seem to change fragrances to max sharpness...up for a trade, others really love it

Migalex

It has an extremely acidic top, probably from the rhubarb, although I thought it smelled like lemon or apple, on top of an overly sweet and sticky concoction, probably from Datura. Personally I do not like it at all.

makeupadicta

this is my perfect sweet scent

irenesa

I don't know If I like it or not.... I guess this is a night winter scent, but I live in a beach city, so I can't totally get the notes. I guess this scent is not heat proof.

xabaras

This is a masterpiece of a fragrance. Ricci Ricci is sexy, sweet, dark, and fragrant of candy and apples. At the first spray I get an intense citrus note which disappears almost immediately. Then the tuberose note appears and it merges with the sharpness of the bergamot making this an unforgettable fragrance. It is sweet but also fresh. There is no other fragrance like this around. It is really original and makes me feel irresistible when I wear it. Well done!!!

Orsyna

sexy deep very feminine parfume.Little bit smokey and intensive. One of my fav.but sometimes it's too much for me.:)Very long lasting.Excellent!

marisaraiva

Such a sexy scent. I got a lot of compliments wearing this one, don't know if it's the subtle darkness on it but men seem to be crazy about this fragrance. I'm completely in love!!

elenmart

Overall quite a unique scent, doesn't smell cheap and it's worth its price. However, for me it associates with "a nice smelling woman in her 40-50s mixed with an automobile smell".

linzilou92

I'm in LOVE! Shop Assistant in Superdrug sprayed this on me this morning. It's been a few hours now and I just can't stop sniffing my wrist. A mature fruity floral. I can definitely notice that sharp Rhubarb scent. I'm pretty sure I've smelt it somewhere before but it would still be very unique to my collection. I've recently run out of a few of the perfumes in my collection so I'm off to buy it now :-)

sophisticated

love the bottle, hate the scent... too sweet, nothing sour like the reviews stated, it's just too fruity

madmax78

My partner bought this for me, I didn't have the heart to tell him that I didn't like the smell! Too over bearing for me, made me feel headachy and sick wearing it. I had to spray it outside into the air heaps so it looked as though I'd been using it...the things we do for love!haha

pourfemme

This is one of my favorite scents. Especially after 10-20 mins it calms down and smells lovely. Its vibration is so high that people will notice you even if you r not so closer to them. It's not an each day everywhere scent. It is more suitable for special times but actually I used it everyday and everywhere in this winter. Can be categorized in autumn/winter but too heavy for summer may be just summer nights.

genny17

Nina Ricci' s perfumes are the opposite of manly!! Feminine, pretty, my only thing is that they all have the same aura which is after all the Ricci aura, which is nice, soft, pretty , that one is more vibrant, yet for some reason I got tired of it fast, I may need o revisit it because the top notes are real uplifting and interesting.

2746cstreet

I find nothing manly at all about Ricci Ricci. At first spray it's sweet/sour patchouli, but on my skin it dries down to a strong, heady datura + tuberose with a hint of bergamot and rhubarb. Patchouli and sandalwood are doing their thing in the background.
There is a velvety quality to Ricci Ricci that is almost like white chocolate.
For my skin it is definitely a night fragrance as white florals are the star.

lafefe

I detect orange and rhuburb and for sure it's very unusual as a fragrance, but not for me, it's too sour and too strong, I have a 50ml new bottle for swap, only sprayed twice.

loonad

i own a 50ml perfume bottle and a 100ml body lotion since 1 year and have worn it on and off.i just love giftsets and this one is very much worth each penny spent.yesterday was very cold.i needed a little mood changer.i have the body lotion in my bathroom and used it after my shower.it was soooo delicious.i sprayed some of the perfume and loved the feeling.when my husband came home,he really liked it.he kept commenting on this smell.this is soo sweet and juicy.it has a bit of a dark side to it too.it is quite longlasting too as it lasted a whole night.

CatBlanc

RICCI opens with the bright, mouthwatering rhubarb and possibly a bit of bubbly Ribena.

The fruity syrup then morphs into a somewhat "suffocating" concoction - thick, raw, chocolaty-patchouli in a honey-glazed, coconutty vanilla concentrate. It is warm and can be headache-inducing at times.

NINA RICCI reminds me of a brighter, younger version of LA PRAIRIE MIDNIGHT RAIN.

RICCI RICCI has excellent longevity and projection. It will attract compliments and best be worn in colder weather. Can be a good choice for romantic occasions - if your partner has good tolerance against strong perfumes.

Orsyna

I love it!It's one of my favorite parfum.:))I think it's very special intesive and long lasting.Energetic sweet and sexy.A little bit dark Smokey and I feel tuberose. This the most attractive winter or autumn parfum. When I'm wearing it I feel myself sexy and attractive. It's a confident fragrance for cheeky and misterious girl or woman.

Vevina Pinky

I damn luv it so mux coz its a 1st gift from my hubby to me on my BD when v were boyfriend & galfriend. So so meaningful <3

bluepistachio

I love the introduction of this fragrance. It's a burst of energy. The citrus kicks and the rhubarb reminds me a bit of a red bull accord. haha. It's smells kind of like cherry with rose and energy drink. Then it turns floral. I can still smell the unique rhubarb note, though the tuberose competes as well.

It's a lovely scent. Lately it has been given me headaches. Right now I'm wearing it and I feel totally fine with no headache. It's just for me one of those scents that is delicious but sometimes can be very strong. This fragrance is playful, daring, mysterious and of course ENERGETIC. I recommend it to fans of strong sweet scents. I'm not a big fan of patchouli, it is kind of strong here but not too strong. I'm glad it doesn't smell to elderly or arm pit like.

If you like rhubarb, and strong flowers then try this one out. I ordered last year with some money I got as a gift. Didn't know what it smelled like. I just thought it would be interesting. I just love the bottle so much and have to give it a try. It's not my favorite, but I still quite like it. I don't plan on buying another. Though it is worth buying one. It's quite fun. I recommend the 30ml since it's a concentrated fragrance. Great projection. Lasts >6hrs.

Yes...it does also reminds me of gummy worms with lime haha.

Fleur_Nuit

Smokey-incensey-plum-sandalwood, that's how I would describe this fragrance. It's mysterious, slightly dark and I think it calls for women with personality. On the drydown it gets softer and a little bit powdery on me, but I like it because it's so feminine! Strong projection, great staying power. One or two spritzes will do. Can't wear it everyday though, only when I want something special.

suhaesa

as sweet as sweet can be ..as intense as sugary fruity .. young hearty long lasting.. but in the long run its a bit boring ..its a love hate relationship..u first love it.. then u dont.. like it.. then u tend to leave it lingering there.. just for the bottle.. i dont know something is just not sitting right on my skin.. the development ..the whole strategy.. of the perfume composition is not authentic .although nina richi is a respectable company.. that have made fine perfumes ..and always tries to catch up with the modern trends.. they have always made those strange ones..off their classic lines..and this is one of them ..but i still think their classics are the best..
the patchuli layerd with the tuberrose is too intense..in a sweet way..mysterious..more on the dark side.. it reminds me of the dry down of euphoria ck
ok dont get me wrong its a good nice perfume.. but its just not a love affair for me.. but i am sure it can be for so many.. it just depends on your taste ..its a fine perfume.. well done.. and perfect in so many dimensions ..but just not authentic.. as if trying to hard to make a new blend..
i loved it when it first came out and i smelled it in shops just for a while and i didnt retest it was one of those impulsive buys..and there wasnt much else around so it was an innovative creation at the time..but times change and so do hearts..and tastes..

perfume rating 4 out 5
bottle rating 4.3 out 5

I have realized, I had "I love you then I hate you.. but I love you more" (like in this song) relationship with this fragrance. The scent is Strong (that's because I write it with major "S"), Long Lasting and Powerful. I don't like the opening-the rhubarb is sour and makes me sneeze but in the same time, I feel my mouth watering.
After about 1/2 hour, I enjoy an elegant floral scent. The sandalwood here is excellent!
It's still strong, adult and very noticeable, but doesn't make suffocate people around.
I wear it only in the cold (rainy, windy autumn or snowy winter), only 1 spray on my wrist and then I gently put my wrists together as if I was praying to this scent- be beautiful and divine. In this case- less is more.

Such a grown up, sexy, warm, fruity, deep scent - perfect for evenings or daytime if you're wanting to feel extra glam and sexy! More of a winter scent for me.

gabygol

The Rhubarb and the bergamot are amazing! Is rare that it suits me so well without jasmine on it because is my "star" note. Rhubarb must be the reason. It gives it the character. It smells like a statement of "here I am and look at me". Love the patchouli!

nefe

just bought it and i find it very special....something different and unique.....i have bored of the usual brands...dior,chanel,........this is really me ...and i don't smell it all around like the others...It bothers me sometimes when i smell my signature in too many girls ....So that's why i chose this perfume ..It smells very fresh and sexy =)

georgiaku

It's weird that it's "changing" scent again and again.for example, you may try this and after 1 and 3 hours,it will smell different..even though I like it very much, one of my favs.

ryanhuynh

This is a nice scent. I love it. I'm love it but I'm disappointed with the new one of Nina Ricci (Sr I forget it name) but it's smell not good than Ricci Ricci

Vampiris

the bottle is mysteriously attractive..beautiful..it's like a dark delicious cherry..

the scent screams Spring/Summer to me..not a typical girly/floral scent..very confident and outspoken..fruity and oriental, different from some of my perfumes which are floral, sweet or gourmand..the Rhuburb note is noticeable..

perfect for someone who has a style and wants to make a statement

I had many perfumes through the years,so many that i can't even remember them but ricci ricci has a special place in my heart! I adore this perfume. It's my signature perfume,i always buy it whenever i ran out and the bottle is gorgeous!

aidie

First of all, I would like to point out that the bottle really reflects the scent: Sweet, elegant, feminine, and also somewhat romantic. The combination of pink and purple is perfect.

I actually find this fragrance quite interesting. It is sweet, but not to the point where it gets overwhelming and candy-like. At the same time it has a warmth and depth to it, which makes it a bit more mature. It starts of as quite light and fresh but developes into a heavier and deeper scent after a while. In my opinion it's especially good for cold winter days and nights, but not very suitable for summertime. In fact I found it being too heavy and almost sickening when I tried wearing it last summer.

Mickey Tollerraine

And I must add that the bottle is awesome. The color of the fragrance is like a summary of the scents ,dark pink turning from purple.

Firstly I'd like to say that Nina Ricci perfumes never let me down. All of them are very succesfull about longetivity, and sure, scents are discussible. About Ricci ricci I can easily say that It is simply Sweet & floral, feminine and elegant. It's a little bit strong at first , the room where you apply wont need any air-freshener, the scented cloud will stay there all day long when you return to home after work. After 10 minutes from the first spray , the fragrance starts to change and mid-notes grow, the scent bcome more romantic and come into blossom. I like it, one of my favorites for cold seasons.

noura od

first i liked it ,then after an hour or so , I just wanted to throw up because of the smell ,its just so heavy ,smells like fruity dish soap ,not so good, but after 3 hours its good ,

Fragrance Lover Forever

My aunt has this perfume, so I first smelled it from her and I didnt like it at all. Some days back my Daddy bought it and I was like..Why did ya buy it, I don like it! But when I first sprayed it I was wrong, it has got an awesome smell!!

Tsz

My husband love this fragrance. For me, I like the bottle but the scent is ok on me.

Sabrina_A

I never thought I would like this scent but I actually LOVE IT.

To me it's very sweet and fruity (smells like raspberry not rhubarb) but not in a bad way at all!
It's a very sophisticated scent and very long-lasting.
My sister gave it to me as a gift last month and when I'll finish this big bottle I'll get a new one as soon as possible haha.

Give it a try, it wont disapoint you!

irin_ka

NR Nina minus apples equals NR Ricci Ricci.
I used to own Nina few years ago and this one brings nostalgic memories because in a way it's very similar to Nina. No apples, but result is truly charming.

prang

I Love Ricci Ricci,it's my favorite one.
Very long lasting.Wear it everyday.

For the Oriental Lovers:

What I love most about Ricci Ricci, is that the notes are something that I typically wouldn't necessarily always swoon for. The Bergamot and Patchouli will make this a love for most oriental/chypre floral types, but the Rhubarb gives the fruity edge that people like me typically aren't drawn to.

Now, don't get me wrong, I occasionally like fruity, but usually with a slight twist (Midnight Fantasy or SJP NYC)

Ricci Ricci has that deep something extra which I have come to expect from Nina Ricci. I would recommend anyone who isn't used to Ricci perfumes but likes other Chypre Florals and smokey orientals to just give it a try. Just have a spray. ONE thats all you'll need. Two to last all day, just be sure to give yourself some dry down time so you don't clear a room!

This is the sensual woman's fruity perfume. I know a lot of people are saying that it doesn't seem like a Chypre floral to them, well, it isn't, however there isn't a Chypre floral-fruit category is there? Its special because it is a unique scent, and honestly evokes that "feline" catwoman sensation. I often love the seductive & quirky way Ricci Ricci makes me feel. Sexy, naughty, and strong, like I wanna fun.

The quality is what you'd expect from a Nina Ricci so it IS worth the money!!!

In one sentence, I'd have to say that it smells like...
Smokey sugar. Making it a must have for oriental Vanilla/floral & chypre floral lovers alike.

bra_chorni

this crype floral which is exotic girlie fruity sexy alluring very similar in design to creamy sexy mysterious crystal noir which is classified as oriental floral, its a very close cousin to midnight poison which is thick sexy soothing having monster sillage.can be worn during summer nights with a light hand.attractive bottle design.
i am not a fan of rose scents but this one has "a young rose with its greens "it ends with a fruity note.i like it

jennifer.radcliffe3

doesn't suit me..always pair it with other perfumes

Dxiaolei

so sweet!this parfum can last long all the day~and it make me addicted.for those wish to be sweet,i bet you will like this!

B_ildikoo

I really liked the ads, the bottle, and the femininity associated with both. So I really wanted to like this scent. Unfortunately the drydown smelled like cinnamon wine on me, too sour and kind of weird.

Radchick

Sweet patchouli, in the best possible way. I never noticed the smell of rhubarb before, so its a bit unusual in a fragrance for me, but I really like this. Being a patchouli lover, I think this is done well. I love it mingled with the sweet florals. This is not heavy or dark, it's upbeat and girly but not sugary sweet. I get a lot of patchouli predominantly, some fruity tang, and subtle florals. I smell no tuberose.

kxnaiades

i was lucky to get a sample from a salesgirl on my lunch break. two words: sugar high
but not in a bad diabetic with rotting foot way. more like being in willy wonka's factory if all he did was candied flowers and fruits. this is strong heady stuff without being headache inducing (at least for me).
After working on it, I decided I can definitely get the bergamot, patchouli and tuberose, I have no idea what rhuburb smells like unless it's rhuburb pie but I don't get that smell in this.
I agree with the reviews that say this is not a young girl's scent, unless it's an really mature young girl (oxymoron). But this girl is a playful one no matter her age- as in play with her prey.
Sillage is heavy and lasting power very dependable for a whole day affair.

Batey2008

Nini R used to be my fav. However this scent was so mild. It just didn't suit me. If you like only a hint if Nini R this would be fine but I love her fragrance to explode all over me!

rabab02

I love this fragrance , Because it is a gift from Mama on my birthday .
Smell very nice, soft , sexy and very romantic.

vallzinha

Very tasty, seductive perfume with air. You pass the smell and the room is. Worth it. I love!

vroula

This is a very intense floral fragrance. I really love it. It so warm and with depth.
It lasts long to me. The bottle with mettalic purple ribbon gives it a note of opulence!!!

COSMICSCENTS

This fragrance is a masterpiece, no other scent smells like this as it is unique. The bottle is a must have. It is addictive, I love it!:)

sunnysniffs

I bought this bottle for my wife..
it was a blind buy..
and so i was anxious to smell it asap..
I did..
first sniff.. and only a word was uttered
"Heavenly" ..
the outburst of ruhburb and fruity essence is just so delightful..
after few hours the citrusy notes which were more like plum and mixed fruit jam settled to very intense floral fragrance.
My wife once wore it on hot n humid rainy day.. and the combination made my day..
Projection : 9/10
Sillage : 10/10
Longevity : 9/10
Also the bottle with purplish metallic ribbon gives it a level of sophistication and femininity.
A very nice fragrance for women.

NaniFiona

No Vampiris, it`s not just you... i`m not "feeling it" too. Why do all Nina Ricci`s smell so much alike? This is nice, but it`s just not special.
