It's a weak watery Fracas, but aren't most tuberose predominant scents really

thaochipnd

One of the most beautiful Tuberose scents in perfumery I know! The Tuberose is fresh, dewy like a pure angel. The scent is similar to Diptyque Doson, Kim Kardashian but more premium and deeper. This is definitely the scent of an angel with white wings in the Garden of Eden. However, the longevity on my skin is not good, only about 4-5 hours, so I feel it is not worth the expensive price.

Rating: 100/10. Very feminine, enchanting scent

sntiago

I got a sample 0.7 from nasomatto which was in a little aluminium blotter (without the decant). I opened it and just blotted the juice into my skin. that way, it was very lovely and delicate, at the same time menthol bubblegummy and floral green, very sexy, feminine and delicate.

then I transferred the liquid in the blotter into a decant and sprayed it onto my skin.
holy shit is it a different fragrance that way. the animalic, dirty, indolic quality of tuberose was extremely emphasized that way. it's still pretty sexy, but in the way you'd think your sweaty girlfriend you just did the deed with was sexy. the first waft was toilet/bodyoder like. when it dries down and settled down, it stopped screaming indecencies and is now a very nice woman's solifloral fragrance.
the body odor/animalic quality only really has a pungent bite in the opening, when you spray the fragrance onto your skin and then immediately go in to sniff it. it mellows out very prettily when left to dry down. spraying it onto your neck (like you'd normally apply a perfume), I get nothing repulsive.

comparing this with tubereuse nue, I like tubereuse nue more as it's a little sweeter, bubblegummier and I like the heavier suede accord to round it out more - it also last longer. but this one is indeed very ethereal, soft and delicate but sexy at the same time. when getting whiffs of yourself when wearing this, it smells clean (not in a laundry or soap kind of way, but in a very rich lady using very expensive skincare products after a shower type of way). I think this one would benefit from maceration.

it doesn't last very long, but that's to be expected from a fragrance that is so light.

Daria.Mju

I'm quite enamored with it, though it hasn't quite met the lofty expectations I had set. Perhaps I set the bar too high, or maybe it's the vibrant burst of spring blossoms in the neighborhood that somewhat overshadows its charm. Additionally, its longevity on my skin falls a bit short of what I anticipated.

Still, there's an undeniable allure to its scent, tho not as intricately layered as I had envisioned. It's a reliable choice for everyday wear, emitting predominantly notes of tuberose and jasmine that I find rather enchanting.

...if I were to categorize it, it would certainly fall into the realm of what's traditionally deemed feminine. Despite its quirks, it's a fragrance that captivates and makes you come for more, it's my to go when I'm just going to run my errands or walk the dogs.

Boring and indifferent to other floral perfumes

venusinyourfurs

Typically, I'm not a fan of floral scents, but this one is absolutely mind-blowing. It's incredibly sweet and juicy, with a youthful yet simultaneously sexy vibe. For hours on end, you exude the scent of a bouquet filled with succulent lilies and jasmine. Personally, I also detect a fruity undertone, reminiscent of banana. I'm excited to purchase a full-size bottle of this fragrance.

Update :
1 FLUID OUNCE FOR 185 USD ????? Nasomatto, you got me messed up.

waltvik

this is fantastic!

first I tried it on paper with a couple of other samples, this was the one I liked the best, so tried it on skin. first it was just a really pretty tuberose, creamy, a bit bubblegumy, I didn’t quite understand why this was described as sexy, however I kept getting wafts of it as time went on and liked it more and more - it turned even creamier and started to smell a bit like rice porridge on me - in the best way possible - , bit sweet, but not at all sugary. the rice porridge part is somewhat vanilla-like, maybe I am registering the spices, but really subtle, keeps the tuberose the whole time, so not at all gourmand.
it is soo comforting, still would not describe it as sexy, but very attractive indeed.
i think this is now my favourite tuberose (next to tuberose criminelle, but they are in completely different galaxies).
I highly recommend sampling, it is a delight, will definitely get a FB

wondervalley666

Nice, kind of a fancier version of Do Son. Smells more deep and flowery and less flat-aquatic than Do Son, if that makes sense. Kind of a cooler, wetter, more femme take on tuberose. A good choice if you're a Do Son lover looking to level up. Owning both may be redundant for some people.

Lol I'm coming back to write another pleasant review. I wore this all day at Disneyland and I'm surprised how well it held up. Sprayed it on at 10:30am, still on me by the time I came back home at around 11pm with moderate to intimate sillage. It really did boost my mood for the entire day :) mainly cuz I sort of used like 8 sprays LOL, I felt like I was walking in my own scent cloud of tuberose and spices. SERIOUSLY THO, I WISHED THEY SOLD IT IN 100MLS ;_; (I've heard some say that Donna Margherita by Pantheon Roma is a close clone, but I want to test it for myself). This is actually the best thing I've smelled and if I had a 100ml of it, I'd bathe in it.

spaceybailey

This perfume is one of my favorites. Total Padmé Amidala, delicate but hardcore. If that makes sense. Bold and sweet, I wouldn't consider it to be animalic at all. It's fresh and creamy. Very feminine, not for the weak. It smells like original Bubble Yum and tiny Banana hard candies. Yes, banana. With a pinch of cinnamon. In a galactic kind of way. Intense, sweet, fresh and a bit spicy. I love it. It's very similar to another perfume I have but I will gatekeep it for now. Narcotic indeed, I can't stop smelling myself when wearing this. Pairs well with sweet perfumes, that banana note really comes through. Long lasting! Not a daytime perfume. To be worn at night. Also gives VAMP princess vibes. BISOUS

fformoso88

Girl… ok this stuff is a strong and I mean strong!!! White floral fragrance at first spray it can be overwhelming, I even had to tone it down with one of my primer fragrances. But when I tell you this dry down is sexy and hunny this is like definitely a love potion. The dry down is fruity, animalic, this fragrance definitely has pheromones because all the guys were on me today. Definitely use with caution lol. But wow a really good hidden gem. I’m putting it in my top.

jkb203

im a man but wear this very often! although its a womens perfume i think its totally unisex! i really enjoy the opening but the dry down is heavenly. its floral, clean, fresh and fruity imo. masterpiece!

villorea

I’m Filipino, this smells like real sampaguita to me ;-; omg i mean i just sprayed it so i’ll come back and edit this lol to see how it wears throughout the day. But it’s pretty close to Gucci Bloom Ambrosia Di Fiori … but ADF has moderate sillage and low longevity. :)

Edit @ 12AM: So it's been on me for 10hrs and I'm still smelling it without having to put an arm up to my nose. I'm so in love but it's very comparable to Gucci Bloom ADF, but the white florals in it don't seem as smooth, or maybe because of the rose? Ambrosia??? :( I'm lost and idk what to do, but for sure, I'm way more in love with Narcotic V. since I don't really reach for ADF, it only lasts for like 3hrs then I have to respray, then again, I bought it off of Amazon. Haha...

Edit @ 12:50AM: Nvm, they're not alike. I can sense the quality of the white florals in NV. It's just so heavenly compared to ADF. Cold, yet beautiful.

But to put it into more detail, with this fragrance, I picture white dewy florals in either a damp garden or a pond. It's pretty photorealistic (which I love), and it feels like the time of day you'd be able to smell something like this might be during the dawn. :) Also I see water fairies wearing this lol, overall really pretty, I just wished that it were also sold in higher quantities like 50ml or 100ml. :D It's pretty linear, but I don't mind since I was able to enjoy it all throughout the day on test strip and on skin (both held up for 10hrs+).

annetreasure

A delicious blend of tuberose and jasmine that only a confident woman can wear. It reminds me of Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia but Estée Lauder, just slightly sweeter. It opens with tuberose but quickly crescendos to a sexy, youthful, and pungent potion.

shannybaby

Pretty mid tuberrose. Lacks depth and body overall.

LucasHellen

Wow! Narcotic Venus really lives up to its name. Simply a beautiful perfume that offers everything it's said to do. A sweet, almost fruity floral scent which is exactly the type of floral scent I enjoy.
Although it's a more feminine leaning perfume, I also think men can pull it of.

albertguy

oh how i love this scent. so feminine and floral and beautiful.

csorbaregina

Nope. Not for me. I am so glad I haven’t bought the full bottle. It like the old ladies in the church on the Sunday morning. ( Eastern Europe, Christian church) I can’t wait to get it off from my skin

Tiny_bean

This is the most beautiful scent I’ve ever smelled! I didn’t even think I liked white floral scents but man was I wrong - at least when it comes to this one. I usually get nauseous from basically all perfumes out there (medical reasons so I get nauseous easily), but this one just smells amazing and it doesn’t make me nauseous at all.

Long lasting on my skin, I can smell it in the evening like 10-12 hours after putting it on but obviously it fades a bit in intensity.

Heads-up: It is a linear scent, basically smells the same all the way throughout the day. But I LOVE THAT. Because the scent is gorgeous. I wouldn’t want it to change into something else 😆

My husband says it’s “a nice smelling scent” but it’s not like he’s loving it. But he’ll just have to get used to smelling it because this isn’t leaving my side anytime soon.

Harley522

One of the best perfumes ever. Starts like a gorgeous tuberose but then morph slowly into something so otherworldly and seductive. I’m speechless. I can’t even describe it !!!
And when I think that I spend so much money for other perfumes…. so stupid !!!!

francesco_grieco

Narcotic Venus by Nasomatto is like a potent burst of white flowers, especially tuberose. It's insolent and in your face. Imagine sticking your nose in a bunch of tuberoses, jasmines and narcissuses, and that's what this fragrance is like. While most flowery scents are soft, Narcotic Venus takes the crystalline notes and amplifies them, ensuring everyone notices. It's like innocence turning insolent and becoming alluring. The only cons is the price point.

•Micro Cuento•

In a land before time, in a hidden utopia in the middle of a vast dessert, a lighting bolt shattered a stalagmite emerging from a hidden cave. From that shock, a jurassic type flower emerged; staggering in height, bright and intense. The heady aroma scared the surrounding fauna but attracted those of the human race. Once found, delirious and intoxicated, a female human, starring at its rare beauty, reached out to touch it and was rapidly devoured by this extraordinary pink lush vegetation. The others fled, fearing it was carnivorous, unbeknownst to them that the female was submerged in a narcotic resinous syrup that would beautify and keep her preserved like a floral sarcophagus until a futuristic race was brave enough to discover her.

Whateverwhocares

Feminine and spicy. White florals done alright. That said, it just makes grade. Takes a sexy host to really come to life.

silkribbon

divine and sexy, urgent and powerful, feminine but not girly, i smelled this at scentbar and it immediately shot up to the top of my list of covets

Storm1980

The moment I sniffed this, I fell in love! It is a must buy for me for sure!

massimilianoinquieto

wind_on_the_water

Sexy, juicy, clean, watery, my boyfriend's favorite perfume. I have to say though, on my skin the projection and longevity are lackluster :( Seems like other reviewers haven't had the same experience though so I would encourage people to try it for themselves. If the formula worked better on me it would be killer.

electaplume

Everyone has a different concept of what's sexy, and this perfume embodies it as a fragrance that presents itself as sweet and innocent on the surface but exudes a powerful, sensual energy underneath. It may not be a dark femme fatale scent, but, in my opinion, it oozes sexiness. Its longevity is remarkable, and the sillage is simply out of this world.

This fragrance is elegantly uncomplicated and maintains its character throughout the night. It's an excellent choice for the spring and summer seasons, guaranteed to catch people's attention. However, the downside lies in its price—it's undeniably expensive. Additionally, its potency might lead to headaches for some due to its strength.

Fat rabbit

smelled it in a department store in Geneva when I was on business trip. I didn't buy it cos I thought it's bit strong for my taste. but when I returned home, I wanna buy something different, not just normal dewy airy floral. then, I thought of this. found a good deal online, so I decided to go for it.
it is not something fresh, airy, elegent...as most of the perfume i have. this is a dirty floral, or dirty tuberose and jasmine. I think I need sometime to get use to it. so it's a like than love.
no doubt, silage of this is good compare to most of the perfume I have. some people said it's something sexy, but well... really can't tell as I live alone and seldom meeting anyone. but from my perspective, this is definitely not something elegant or sophisticated but more like a night time clubbing scent.

Uglylucy7

Edit: When I’m wrong I admit it. While this does take me back to a popular drugstore fragrance, I’m finding I dismissed it too early.

I’ve now gotten everything from this house except Blamage, Fantomas and Sadonaso and realize that these are great layering fragrances. I was using Nudiflorum with Baraonda and getting amazing results. I’m adding Narcotic V because I couldn’t get it out of my head and feel I could layer it with another Nasomatto offering.

I’ll probably get Blamage next. Sadonaso is an absolute no. Still on the fence with Fantomas.

Smeraldina77

This is sooooo good! I have blind bought it after having thinking about it a lot, but I wasn't sure since it is expensive and I do not like tuberose when it is soapy or too bubble gummy. Then I found it with a big discount and pressed the buy button... and I am so happy! This fragrance is really good! I do not know if it is really reproducing the "overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power" as they claim on the package, but it is definitely a very feminine, radiant an vibrating fragrance. It is a creamy, spicy white floral, perfect in spring, summer and beginning of autumn. Here above it is written that one of mai accord is "animalic", but I do not find it to be animalic at all. Absolutely recommended.

Lilah_lilah2023

I love it 😍 I wish this company did sample kits because it's only sold in niche perfume shops where sales assistant are sometimes too uppity and won't let you try them on your skin, whereas with sample kits one could try them and decide.

Fenissa

@AlexandraRoseD your review just made me blind buy a bottle. SOLD! 😅😅

AlexandraRoseD

This is very sensual, like it consists of pheromones, s*x in a bottle. Defenetly reacts as intended when applied directly on the skin, did not expect a parfume to actually deliver this, kudos to the parfumier.

Anyway, needed to scrub it off before going to work, this is highly inappropriate for the office.

I'm not sure what to think of this parfume, it's more like a seduction potion with an added fragnance, instead of the other way arround.

itsAndrew

Though not totally sure about the notes - since Alessandro Gualtieri, the perfumer behind the whole Nasomatto project, never disclaims his olfactory pyramids - this fragrance is by far one of the best I've ever smelled.
Tuberose is definitely there. And so is something sweet that vaguely reminds me of chewing gum.
When I wear this, I feel sexy and free.

2whit2quit

I previously stated that this fragrance was ‘vanilla’ in comparison to some other tuberose fragrances. After that, I felt the need to reintroduce myself to NV. Like I said before, this is a perfect and well blended representation of tuberose. It is sexy. This is high quality, natural, juicy-sexy. Might be proper, but she’s also the prettiest girl in school that nobody can have!

Night Shift EDP

The samples you get from this brand are weird little plastic pouches that you squirt the juice out of. That said, it’s hard to get a real feel for a spray on version of this. It’s pleasant, clean, linear, and all that’s ok. Not worth a full bottle at full price IMO

amudrechenko

Very feminine and simply gorgeous. Beautiful white florals. The tuberose competes with with Jo Malone Tuberose Angelica and Diptyque's Do Son. These, together with my new Narcotic V are my most favorite tuberoses. I found it way more interesting than L'Artisan Parfumeur Nuit de Tubereuse and Creed Floralie.

Uglylucy7

If you’re gen X this may smell too much like Anais anais perfume. It’s not unpleasant. It’s simply very linear and doesn’t budge from its original opening. It’s power has a stubborn quality to match its recipe. It lasts and lasts. I have four bottles from this house and would love a fifth, but this isn’t it.

2whit2quit

Not bad at all. A perfect representation of tuberose really. I guess I just like my tuberose a bit more kinky/quirky. This is very serious and straightforward if you ask me. This is the ‘vanilla’ of tuberose, while you have Tubereuse Criminelle and Wild Python making inappropriate gestures at you from across the room. This is natural and high quality. Super well blended. Quite linear (not a bad thing), unless you’re lucky enough to have skin that really takes V for a ride.

jessica_chinos

Very similar to Tuberoza from Nishane, redundant if you already have it. Lovely tuberose scent, great performance and longevity. A 10/10 perfume even if this is not my favorite scent profile, I completely recommend it.

sharniui

floral headache in a good way

Bibi16

Sweet bubble gummy tuberose with white flowers. Very pretty !! If you like My way, you will love this. Lovely in summer !

kperfume

Beautiful smell that stays the same for its entire duration, which was a bit boring for me. But thankfully I wasn't bored for long, as it didn't last and projected minimally. Lovely, lovely representation of the tuberose though. The opening is the BEST, and then it's just downhill. I will stick to the a sample/travel size because I would like to smell that opening burst of floral once in a while. My husband didn't find it sexy btw, just pleasant because he, in general, likes this type of florals, especially in a garden during our walks.

verzosa

I'm rewriting my review after being with this for two months.

The notes are pretty minimal and straightforward forward in nature (right up my alley). My impression of Venus is that it's very Va Voom. On my skin the bubblegum essence really projects, and I very much like it. The tuberose is the most prominent note and the florals are slightly creamy creating a sense of intimacy.

My only dilemma is for an extract it does not perform as expected, I seem to be under unpopular opinion with this observation. Maybe I just love it so much I want more of it? I can see it being cloying under first impression, but from my experience with two sprays on each wrist my husband (even though he likes it) doesn't even smell it until he presses his nose onto my wrist; it's almost undetectable after 2 hours. Perhaps with a little finesse and a little more sprays it could work better in regards to performance. Hence it's dense, but not a bomb.

Anyway, still a 10/10. I felt inclined to rewrite this review because I mentioned this may be my endgame for white florals, but it didn't end up being so. For me this is personal and occasional, but still shies away from being novelty.

Ninamariah

I was surprised about this and Pardon both how comfortable, subtle and sleek these are. Both were the blind buys for me and I was waiting something more edgy and challenging like many of Nasomatto’s perfumes but these are really safe yet not boring in any kind of way. Both are office safe as well since they are not projecting too much, staying quite close to the skin and the lasting power is good anyway.

NARCOTIC V:
Very classic and safe choice for Jasmine and Tuberose based scent. It opens up heady but settles down very quickly being sophisticated, well blended and pleasant to wear. I used to say that this is “the cleanest” Jasmine which I have tested and which I own - it’s so pure, so innocent yet sensual in the same time and there is not many notes stealing the show of these narcotic white flowers. it’s very linear while lasting power being good. If you like Jasmine and Tuberose I can guarantee the you will love this creation.

Avogard

Very good and pretty straightforward (in a good way, it has some depth) feminine scent.

Love & fragrance#01

This is just a HUGE instant LOVE for me! What an fantastic fragrance. White Flowery scents tends to turn sour on my skin but this one and MFK724 do not. This is so romantic, alluring, addictive and so innocent. It reminds me of a hot iron while ironing fresh laundry clothes and using the steam of the iron with some ironingperfume tinted with jasmine and tuberose. I think that the spices play a role in this (steamy) sensation. I wish wish wished they had a 100 ml bottle. Longevity is moderate. As regards the longevity i expected more of an extrait de parfum but oh the scent it gorgeous.
I dont even dare to spray it on myself, that’s how beautiful she is and mostly because they only sell 30ml bottles of this. I think that i might want to have a back up bottle…

This made me curious about the michael michael kors scent, but unfortunately it seems they don’t sell them anymore. I really would like to try that one also.

It is a drop dead gorgeous feminine scent.

marinamj

Remind me zara elegantly tokyo, especially in the beginning

Maailman Katselija

Performance: 10/10
Projection: 10/10
Perfume: 10/10
But where is the olfactory reflection of the unleashed female sensuality? This is one of the most innocent fragrances I have ever experienced. My boyfriend said the same.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

Narcotic Venus really does smell narcotic and like it was made for the goddess Venus. I could imagine her luxuriating underneath a handsome tree covered with flowers with her lover Cupid while wearing this fragrance. It is so feminine, sexy and carnal and I'm all for it! It's very "I am woman... hear me roar!"

I can tell that this is a very well blended and high quality perfume that has been made with the best ingredients and that a lot of thought and time has gone into this fragrance. All of the notes are discernible in this to me, with the tuberose, jasmine, lily and spices really shining here.

The tuberose though is definitely what I pick up most on, followed by the lily note. I then get the spice and then the jasmine in that order. This is definitely a tuberose fragrance though and this is probably the most realistic tuberose perfume that I have ever smelt! I smell some camphor at the top, but it isn't overpowering. I can also smell the white floral facets of the tuberose, the fleshy nuances, the green nuances and some of the spice in tuberose.

I think that this perfume would be great for a date night or for when you want to release your inner seductress. This perfume is for a temptress and it's incredibly naughty smelling! I could imagine a lot of men loving this fragrance on a woman. I don't think that this perfume smells too mature, either. Just very womanly.

This perfume lasted about 5 and a half hours on me and its projection was quite big on me at 6 feet. I didn't find it too strong though and it didn't give me any headaches. I find this perfume just lovely and I definitely think that it is full bottle worthy.

10/10 for me... what a masterpiece!

churinl

Since I last reviewed this, I purchased Le Labo Lys 41. They are remarkably similar. I tried to add it to the Reminds Me Of list, and haven't been able to do so for some reason. I am shocked that's it's not already there. Both are stunning, heady tuberose and lily, along with jasmine. The dry downs are different, but overall, the similarity is remarkable and both scents are drop dead gorgeous white florals, and would make great bridal scents.

PS - for those who are looking for a much softer and airier tuberose, I suggest you get a sample of Tubereuse de Madras by Boucheron. You'll get your dose of tuberose without feeling smothered by it, and it's a pretty decent bargain on the grey market.

Tasherapd

Ran to saks to smell this after hearing a glowing review and it was an instant no for me. This is a tuberose bomb. I have a love/hate relationship with tuberose. I don’t dislike the smell but it can be very cloying and overwhelming after awhile. This perfume smells a lot like Fracas another tuberose based fragrance. If you have one you don’t need the other.

Josu01

I got a sample of Narcotic V.

Wow. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

The perfume is wonderful, and very feminine. However, I like it too (I'm a male). Tested on my skin, sillage and longevity are very very good. Intoxicating, enveloping, sexy. Big Love for Narcotic V.

MidnightRoses

An absolute white floral bomb. I love tuberose, but this one is a bit strong for me. I also don't get any sort of animalic note, and I'm pretty sensitive to those. Overall, I prefer something a bit more subdued with other notes, like the green tea in Matiere French Flower. 7/10

leoselle

unfortunate blind buy, this is just banana syrup to my nose… a real tooth ache

hellborn_animal

I was hoping this would be the white floral to change my mind but unfortunately not.
NV is a white floral slap in the face that doesn't forgive and doesn't dry down for me.
I don't get the creamy tuberose I was looking for. I get urine-jasmine, not the well blended kind.
I put this experience down to the fact that my skin just does not work well with forefront white florals. This scent was divine on paper- heady yet effervescent. Bright and feminine.

If there's one thing I can compliment, the sillage is a decently sized radiating scent bubble with a decent trail.

elysian

Where I live all the trees and bushes start to bloom at the same time in mid May. The mix of all those white flourishing blossoms have this intoxicating scent, think wild white florals on a warm night, the sweet nectar that's in them and something earthy and animalic and weird. That smells exactly like this perfume.
I wasn't aware of the sexual or seductive profile of this scent before I bought it, but there definitely is something promiscuous happening here, even though white florals symbolize innocence, right? A bit contradictory.

If you love jasmine & tuberose, this is probably the best I have sniffed so far. I feel like i get more jasmine than tuberose, but it is not at all indolic. Very slight bubblegum and animalic, but not at all annoying. Very high quality. The bottle is a bit strange with the giant cap, but I can deal with it lol.

Annata

I wish I could love this fragrance as everyone, but the tuberose note is too much, it gives me headache and can’t stand it.
If someone can suggest me how to layer this so I don’t waste this is welcomed.

" # the nymphet-vamp "

The girl i see in my imagination when i smell this scent, has:
* Very light, almost platina blond hair. ( Or it could be dyed to pastel peachy-pink). perfect, pale porcelain skin . bright & hypnotic light-green eyes. Dollface with peachy cheeks & petal shaped, rosy, small but lush glossy lips with. Fairy/ ballerina like fragile & feminin bodyshape. Mysteriosly dangerous but angelic & ethereal aura at the same time.*

This gorgeous fragrance has two really different & polar personalities. But these two opposite characteristics merge into eachother and create a truly unique & mesmerizing overall effect.

First of all, as my chosen posy/mood description says in the first row: this fragrance is truly "lolita"/nymphet/coquette like.
This scent is like an allegory of the experience when a young girl is blushing beacuse of the first romantic, sensual, sexualy charged touch and it also represents the awakening of the desire.
The fragile innocence and the chastity are clearly present in this perfume just like the lush and lust.
Yes, it's peachy & youthful, pure, otherwordly innocent but ultra feminin, flirty and coquettish at the same time. But the real duality of this perfume does not lie in this. Because this is what make this scent nymphet like. This is mostly come from the tuberose. And the lily also helps in the comely pure and virgin vibe.

The other polarity comes from the previously mentioned, really powerful lily accord and the jasmin. Just as white flowers are generally associated with carnality, sensuality, pleasure and seduction, are also associated with virginity, purity, and even fading, passing away and death. So here is the other polarity comes into the picture. The chaste, pure, sharp green lily (what has almost a bitter nuances in the background) are supported by the bit indolic jasmin. The Budding and Blooming Youth, Romance, + the awakening life and the creating energy are contrasted by fading away and Mortality. The Immortal circle if life. In this lily - jasmin combination has a cold earnestness vibe. Which for first i could say balance the the lolita style and gives the feeling that this fragrance is for a young women who is delicate, etheteal and free and she has these lush-youthful sexual aura what she knows and use it freely, and full with confident. And she doesn't just use it, this energy is radiate inside from her.

But to be honest, i must to go beyond it. This fragrance is truly narcotic and intoxicating youthful femininity. Pure magic. This is like a potion from the fountain of the eternal youth. And because of this i feel like that this fragrance has an innocent coquettish nymphet,- but also the 1000 years old immortal "vampire" vibe, who knows how to get everything what she wants and still look like angelic. This fragrance is Divine & out of this word. I imagine that this fragrance could be the iwns skin scent of a forever young and sensual nymph like Erato ( the nymp of romantic and erotic poems) or Aphrodite/Venus herself.

(The scent itself in a simplier description, is a lightly lactonic, breezy tuberose with slightly bubblegummy nuances ( it's not a truly creamy tuberose like BDK Tuberose Imperial, or Armani Privée Rouge Malachite) The tuberose accord in this is like the tuberose in MDCI peche cardinal. But Peche Cardinal is truly coquettish with the lactonic coconut and the candied flirty & youthful peaches and it doesn't contain that " i can get what i wan't' & that level of conciousness what Narcotic V. coud manifest. Narcotic V. is much more fresher because of the powerful green and sharp lily note and some jasmin. So the overall scent doesn't have similar faceprofil - only the tuberose is familiar.)

This is absolutely stunning! I already have 3 versions of Gucci bloom so I’ll wait to consider this one until at least one of those is gone. But wow it’s pretty! Really reminds me of Grand Bal by Dior. There’s a tiny tiny touch of soft peach about it like with grand Bal. Even though it’s not mentioned here… there is definitely something rounding it off and my best guess is peach, it’s what I smell.
Revisiting my decant this week and wow this one is stunning! I really don’t pick up the spices listed, and there is nothing sharp about this scent. It’s so round, it’s a touch of sweet, flower type of sweet, and it’s smooth! It’s probably the only strong linear floral that smells so smooth to me. I don’t get anything indolic or pissy about this one! Not a thing.
For reference, Olene by Diptyque gives me that pissy smell I can’t stand. But not this one. This one is in the realm of my beloved gucci bloom, for sure. It’s pretty, it’s not heavy, it’s there, it’s round, it’s happy and it’s smooth.
Like someone below said: it’s so simple and yet never smelled anything like it!

LizzyBeth22

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Did I mention... LOVE? Absolutely fresh and deeply wearable jasmine-tuberose scent with just a hint of spice in the background that's exquisite for spring into summer. In the later phases of the dry down, a hint of an animalic aspect comes out, but not in an aggressive fashion. It just seems to blend so nicely with my own skin and becomes, honestly, quite sensual.

Started with a small decant and already purchased a full bottle. If you're a white florals girlie, this one is for you.

dorkaluu

It's so simple yet I never smelled anything like this before and I smelled these notes in another perfumes before a million times.
This is an outstanding perfume that completely hypnotised me and I don't want to wear anything since I got a decant.
Full bottle worthy no question.
Performance: 10/10

Truly out of this world.

Guerlinade

Very likable, not too indolic, fresh as narcissus blooms popping out from the snow. It looks like a lily scent rather than a tuberose perfume, and it's a distant cousin to bubblegum bomb Fracas but is closely related to Nishane Tuberoza: this one is the real deal, heady and ready for all the shenanigans. Narcotic V. looks the part but is quite demure, a summer tuberose if ever one existed.

hewpo

White flowers are like an enemy to me. But this fragrance is my friend. Conflicting, but I don't care. This is solid.

fwuity

this is a capricious little perfume. the blossom in your mouth. the scent of buds flowering with reckless abandon. accordingly, i (by all accounts very sparing) used up my tiny sample at record speed…

Ilikewhatilike

White floral for sure, but not generic. As a guy, tuberose can sometimes be confronting, but I get a lot of freshness from this (might be the lily). I get a play between jasmine and tuberose and everything is natural smelling. Nice!

h888rpr

I was pleasantly surprised!

hsiangchi.huang

To me this is more jasmine than tuberose because there's a hint of freshness/greenness underneath those thick white pedals. It's beautiful... reminds me a bit of diptyque do son. I see some people compare it to Moon Carnival, and having them side-by-side, I can tell you this one is way better. And Moon Carnival is already very pretty, Venus is just up a notch as it's more balanced and refine.

aviegravy

gorgeous fresh white floral with barely any discernible added sweetness. the animalic facet is not too strong but lurks perceptibly at the base. personally, i prefer lys 41.

NanaLoBell

Interesting one. Delicate, veeery flora and fresh. Sweetness is very subtle, almost not detectable. This is the most prominent tuberose I ever smelled, which now gives me a good example of how true tuberose smells like.

The first spray is very fresh, in the beginning the smells feels like a floral water rather than a perfume - I guess that is the influence of Lily flowers. The scent stays like this for few hours, gradually changing. After... approximately 4h on my skin, it finally started to change into something, as said in accords, animalic.

Jasmin with pinch of spiceness creats an insteresting formation that smells like a skin of a beautiful, clean woman.
If Aphrodite's skin would smell like something, I would bet my money on this perfume. Clean, fresh, beautiful, delicate, womanly. In astrology I think water types would be attracted to it.

I've used my sample and put it on my list to buy, definitely a spring/summer scent. For nightime I would use it for some cozy time with your significant other

KerriZ

Delicious. Delicate. and Gorgeous! Such a beautifully crafted scent. Of course, I am a huge fan of white floral fragrances...so I may be a bit biased, just love the strong lean into the tuberose in a very natural way, a gentle jasmine and balanced by a musky wood undertone. LOVE!

Pearlgunn

Exactly as advertised. A night walk in still, humid air past bushes of tuberose, jasmine & lilies. A scent so heavenly & overwhelming it stops you in your tracks. Narcotic indeed.

Vannamae__

It’s taken me years to come around to this scent but I’ve completely fallen for it now. I first tried it 4 years ago and wasn’t too impressed by it. I didn’t enjoy white flowers at all and now I’m becoming very fond of them and this fragrance is just beautiful. Simple feminine elegance. An easy, mass appealing, “I feel pretty” scent to wear that people constantly compliment. Glad I gave it another shot.

Performance is moderate and so is longevity. It creates a nice scent trail and bubble around you for about 3-4 hours before becoming closer to the skin.

Lightly sweet creamy tuberose, very very faint bubblegum. Just like the one that is opening at home just now-late bloomer like me. To me this and MK is as close as you can get to the real inspiration for a realistic tuberose fragrance. One tuberose variety is strong on mothballs and cold, but another variety is the lovely gentle lightly sweet creamy floral version we know.

This immediately reminded me of MK Michael, which I have and find beautiful, lasting.

This is a lighter version of Michael with less notes. We’ll see how it performs in comparison.

8/10-very realistic tuberose, not mothball variety.

violeteme

Sirene - a siren, a dangerous nymph of Greek mythology, luring passers-by using an irresistible song.
The most intense, high note white floral there is. It smells like all the most alluring, sensual, carnal, narcotic qualities of the most precious white florals were extracted in Narcotic Venus. The essence of youthful femininity, women at their most prime, unstoppably, overwhelmingly enveloping and flowing beauty.
I can't pinpoint whether it is tuberose, jasmine or lily most prominent as it has qualities of all. There are no indoles, but NV smells carnal and spellbinding.
I agree with croissan_pari - this is her scent, not a scent that she wears. It exudes a certain aura that has to be already there in a parallel with the woman herself. I believe NV will speak volumes to women who are the Sirens of this world, in touch with their sexuality in the purest, most obvious, most tantalizing shape, which other women may see as even vexing, causing certain feelings of uneasiness as not all women can relate and this obvious hedonistic enjoyment of one's young, primal sexual energy might make some feel small and threatened.
As stunning as it is, it is not a perfume meant for me. I am not the Siren of this world. This is a perfume for Brigitte Bardots (although NV is not coquettish and a try-hard, it doesn't have to be), not for Audrey Hepburns. Not for the vigorous, mature sensualists as Sophia Lorens too.

RottigrlNYC

Let me just say I have both this and a huge bottle of Fracas(stupidly blind bought) and NO WAY NO HOW are they similar. Fracas is extremely sweet and just smells old, there is nothing about it I like. It’s a gross HUGE fake synthetic tuberose bomb. I can’t stand Fracas. I never wear it. But Narcotic Venus is breathtaking beautiful. I absolutely adore it. It’s much more than “just” tuberose. I’m about to buy a third backup. I own hundreds of Niche perfumes and I have nothing like this beauty. Gaultier is a genius. Fracas on the other hand will probably go in the garbage. Last time I believe the hype on here. I can’t understand how anybody can wear that overtly sweet horrid bomb of a perfume. And to compare it to the beautiful Narcotic Venus is a travesty.

banksia

I love this fragrance so much. Very light, fresh, and delicate. More jasmine than tuberose for me, but I love that. Not a night fragrance. Would work perfectly in the spring daytime as it is very youthful and clean. :)

Nix_Nosy6

This is the Tuberose I’ve been looking for! Unencumbered by vanilla or unnecessary anything else. Just the right amount of jasmine that leans bubblegum and a tiny breath of green woody gardenia (I don’t see it listed but I smell it). Underpinned with an animalic body that you can’t ever quite get a fix on, but you know it’s there. Lasts forever. And ever. Simply fantastic. FB worthy and now I know why I had such a hard time finding it.

Daniela_Beatriz

Okay so this is a full on tuberose scent. It compares (but to me is less desirable than) to Fracas. I have a large bottle of Fracas and I use only a couple of sprays, it will last me a lifetime. Sooooo I blind bought this for a steal completely blind, yet I had an original sample, so while it didn’t come to me The full bottle, I tried the sample. Let’s start by saying the sample from Nasomatto is very wasteful, as it comes in a blister where once is open, it’s open forever. I didn’t even go to a third of the 1ml sample and was already regretting blind buying it. Not because it is bad, but I don’t need another Fracas in my life, or another Fragile, which also comes to mind. If you are a huge white floral or heady waxy tuberose fan, by all means, go ahead. It last ages and a little goes a loooooong way!

samaisling

IMO this is to Jasmine what En Passant is to Lilac- a beautiful photorealistic Spring garden fragrance. In fact those who can be sensitive to heady floral notes and sometimes feel overwhelmed & overpowered with power floral fragrances (like me), this is worth a sample. And if you like one, you will like the other. Light enough to wear day & night, to the office, etc if you don’t overspray.

The official listed notes on Nose Paris’ website are as follows:
Head Notes: Green notes, Mint
Heart: Jasmine, Lilly, Orange Blossom, Tuberose
Base: Cedar, Musk, Woody Notes

(For comparison, En Passant has Basil in the head, Jasmine, Lilly of the Valley, Orange in the heart, and Cedar & Musk in the base. Among others!!! Lilac and Marin notes most importantly give it a different weight).

Ultimately the name of this scent isn’t wrong and I couldn’t stop smelling my arm. Can’t wait until Spring to try it out again.

FieryG

Not really impressed with it. For me it's kind of overhelming, masculine floral scent.

LSAUG

Narcotic Venus reminds me a bit of Kim K fragrance but only in the fact that it is very sweet and slightly spicy. This is a Lily perfume. It reminds me of my Casablanca Lily's in my yard. They are very sweet and slightly spicy. This is beautiful but I don't get a lot of tuberoses w/ this, just Lily's upon Lily's. I do love this one and might spring for a full bottle. White Lilies like this are hard to find in perfume. Stunning, pure, sweet and bright.

wondervalley666

It's almost pure lily. I've bought & tested a bunch of frags lately looking for real tuberose, but keep getting synthetics & excessive dominant lily. It's especially hard as I feel like many reviewers here don't know the difference between different flower scents, and describe scents using the wrong flowers. If you've ever smelled tuberose in carnal flower, and are looking for something related, there is nothing like it here. Narcotic Venus is a lily scent, I'm not really getting any jasmine (I have a yard full of jasmine and have been an Alien fan forever, nothing like it in here) nor am I getting much in terms of spices in this scent-spices are very mild and easy not to notice. I'm not the biggest fan of lily, it's too common and basic to hold my interest, and I'm a bit of a weirdo that likes to make a statement with my scents. This is a pretty scent, I'd wear it if I already owned a full bottle, but it smells too much like too many other perfumes for me to add it to my already too-large collection. This scent especially dries down rapidly to a fragrance that smells very similar to Gucci Bloom, another lily scent that masquerades as tuberose (the Profumo flanker is the only one I can detect tuberose in) without that rangoon creeper note that makes Bloom so scratchy and synthetic smelling. If you're looking for tuberose, aside from the queen that is Carnal Flower, I find Le Labo's Lys 41 to be the most authentic expensive smelling tuberose scent without other clashing notes taking over. Odd that Le Labo calls the scent Lys, and it's one of the only tuberose scents that doesn't have a strong dominant lily note that overpowers the tuberose. If you're a fan of lily and want a high end luxurious lily without strong other notes, Narcotic Venus is one of the better options I've found. It isn't excessively sweet, it's very natural, floral, no powder, no bubblegum. There is no ylang in this scent that my nose can detect nor is it listed here as another review mentioned. If you want Ylang, try Marfa, it's the nicest true ylang I've found, but has a strong honey note that I love but some people dislike honey notes. Based on some other scents reviewers have mentioned here:
Fracas is a very similar scent, also predominantly lily plus maybe a dozen (?) other flowers, every one you can imagine, with very little tuberose, at least the new releases. I've never smelled the vintage. Fracas is a work of art, I feel would appeal to those who like this scent for sure.
Boclet's Cocaine is mostly patchouli. Very strong sour musky animalic patchouli that reads masculine, with a faint tuberose in the background that is a bit stronger in the dry down. Very different kind of scent. Never was as nuclear as others describe it. Would not recommend it for fans of this frag/those looking for something in the same family.

Carpe Noctem

This took me literally years to make up my mind about. Lots of samples later I’ve bought a full bottle and love it.

I didn’t remember the woodsiness to it, but it’s there, and I feel it cements the tuberose, jasmine and spices.

I don’t get any bubblegum Tuberose here. I do love Madonna’s bubblegum Tuberose and Gardenia in Truth or Dare, but this is not like that. It’s not high pitched nor sharp to me. It’s just beautiful, and I feel beautiful wearing it.

Seuni

This is out of this world pleasant. Of course, I'm passing it to my wife, but nonetheless, as a man I consider this a 10/10 floral.

The tuberose is so natural and nice in here. It's bubblegum sweet, but not sticky or cloying or reminiscent of messes like 1 million. It's a natural bubblegum. It has this, I call it a rubbery/latex note (don't judge me, I know it's not, it's just my descriptor, mkay?). It's white floral, but the smell is so nice, and red fruity. Like sweet raspberries, sweet rhubarb, sweet cranberries... Out of this world! I'll eat my wife whole when she wears this. This is cute even.

If that amount of tuberose is not enough for you (you sick bastard) try Franck Boclet Cocaïne, but beware, it's an overdose nuclear.

100% female, all age, od even want my friends in the office to smell this way, all year round, I can even imagine wearing this to the beach.

It is narcotic for me, and it is a 100% Venus. If you're a woman - buy this, they men will love it. If you're a man - buy this for your woman, you will love her smelling like that. Mwah, best feminine perfumes I've ever tried.

This will last you a workday and everyone will smell you.

QueenieIrenie

I've never smelled a real tuberose flower, but I imagine this is what a full-blooming tuberose would smell like! This one is for tuberose lovers, particularly the ones who appreciate a fresh yet creamy tuberose. It really does remind me of the original Michael by Michael Kors, but a bit stronger and longer-lasting. Testing side by side with Nishane Tuberoza, they definitely share some similarities, but Narcotic V is creamier and a bit sweeter, and Tuberoza is spicier/more herbal, and woodier. I prefer Narcotic V. This is my favorite kind of tuberose, much preferred over bubblegummy or green tuberose. It smells like a gorgeous spring day, but here in southern California, I imagine I'd be able to wear it in moderate to warm weather in all 4 seasons.

CarlottaMarie

This is a lot sweeter than I expected. It reminds me a lot of a tuberose version of Lush's Lust. I find Narcotic V. to be a bit cleaner and more synthetic smelling. I actually prefer lust quite a bit over this, but that could just be down to me not being a huge tuberose fan. As far as tuberrose goes, I much prefer Fracas (a love of mine) to this, which I find to smell more natural and to have a lot more depth and voluptousness.

pedroquadros

Very floral, yet it is the sexiest fragrance for women, I gave it to my girlfriend and omg, I love this so much when she wears this. When I tested in store I could get mostly white florals, especially tuberose and jasmine, but on her skin i can feel some kind of woodiness hidden with sensual musk. I love that scent and i’m pretty sure it has got a good sillage also

Madyana

Classic white flowers. If I didn’t already have Lalique’s L’Amour I would get this. Very beautiful.

Scented_Definition

This is the olfactory equivalent of a woman blushing.

It's not inherently sexy it's sexiness by proxy, it suggests a healthy young woman all curious and quivering unaware of her effect on others. I think it smells the way a woman makes a man feel.

A thick sweet vaguely ylang ylang note floods the opening
Subtle ever-so-slightly-green jasmine drips in ironically carrying in a lightness like spring
Then clean hazy peach-fuzzy skin and possibly the most carefully balanced diaphanous indolic note ive ever experienced. This is what impressed me most, it's barely there, like it's playing peekaboo with my nose.
This game of hide and seek continues for a while then it starts to shed some of its youthfulness and the scent that lingers as it nears its end becomes a little formal and "perfume like" until it fades

Im a woman but this is too feminine for me to wear. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience though.

datlof

a powerful jasmine.
it's so good that makes you want to eat it.
one of my first Nasomatto perfume and yes, i'm a man. but it's so good that i dont even care.
it looks simple but it really hits. you have to at least smell it to feel what i felt.

Alces Alces

Narcotic Venus is just so good if you love white florals. It's all jasmine to me. Jasmine, jasmine, but very focused and realistic. It is not like Michael Kors because that one has something else besides white florals, maybe musk? It's not like Kim Kardashian because that one has something else candy-like, a Jolly Rancher watermelon note mixed in with white florals. It's not Fracas or Madonna Truth or Dare. And it's really not like Carnal Flower because CF is cold and majestic while NV is not exactly warm, but more spring like. Narcotic Venus is that kind of jasmine you can almost taste.

If you love white florals and want to try something to make them even better, trying layering with Pistache pistachio body butter. Sounds weird, but that stuff makes everything I wear smell better, just deliciously better. Sorry if layering is not your thing. Ever since I started using Pistache, all my fragrances have improved. Could just be me.

lingdeer

I really love this scent. I was so happy that I found another lovely tuberose scent since nishane tuberoza is too musky for my taste. And others I tried are too bumble-gummy or too sweet.
However this doesn't last long on my body. Don't know if it's because there is something wrong with my sample. For the concentration and the price I feel quite disappointed :( I guess my weird body doesn't hold floral scent very well, even though I love them so much...

hollandbri

Watermelon Jolly rancher type juicy white floral dream. No indoles. Bright and feminine. Perfect for day time.

bellysukix

Gorgeous, gorgeous scent. Someone here mentioned it smelled like “the stuff angels drink” and I agree. It’s so addictive, and my boyfriend’s favorite scent ever on me.
I was torn between Fracas and Carnal Flower but ultimately went with this one.
It smells pure and perfectly blended. The fragrance lasts forever on me as well, very worth the price point as it is an extrait.

Adela7

Glad I didn't blind purchase it and went for a sample first. It's disappointing for someone who loves tuberose. White flowers most of the time make a perfume smell old and boring. I think I'm over with giving them a chance. This is just my take on it, I'm no expert, but I like interesting compositions, I have no clear preference in this regard, only to be surprised with something new and worthy of the name and money. When it smells like soap from decades ago it's almost an insult. Save your money for something more perfumey, but if you have a more traditional mindset I guess it will feel suited.

CreamSunshine

I feel like this is definitely a “getting it in” fragrance to wear. The creators were going for a female sensuality/sexuality type fragrance, and I would say they achieved it. Just makes this scent sort of “limited use” because I can’t think of when I would wear it other than the bedroom trying to seduce someone?

mindy81

I am not the biggest floral fan so please take that into account when reading my perspective.

I ordered a sample to test it out as I was looking for a summer scent to wear that was interesting. The reviews that mentioned base notes of spice got my attention with Narcotic Venus, unfortunately, there is absolutely no spice on me. This fragrance is very jasmine, gardenia on me. There is no depth to it, just a hit of floral intensity. I do like the tuberose notes here, this is what saves the heady jasmine. It actually smells like a bottle of Jasmine essential oil. I would probably not buy a full bottle as it is just too full on with the jasmine, but I will enjoy the sample for a few warm days.

Lucyintheskywithdiamonds

Currently on the fence about this, leaning to negative. Tested NV over one day, on my forearms. Very contradictory. Opens with a wonderful wave of white flowers, romantic and sensual. When after a couple of hours the flowers diminish, musky animalic smell takes dominance. Like the smell of another person, specifically of another woman - on my skin. This smell is not too strong but still I sense it and it is an unpleasant sensation.

Puuteri

For me this is mostly white clover, valkoapila in Finnish. I wonder why there is no such note in Fragrantica. Of course there's lily and flower bulb and some flower soil too. It smells like spring and white clover. Lovely, young, eternal.

justTaylor

How disappointing this is. I was lured in by the glorious reviews, thinking this is the ONE white floral perfume I will ever need, a perfect blend. Unfortunately, it is incredibly boring. It is very similar to Florence from Tocca, just much much more expensive. The performance is okay, but the actual scent is way overrated.

croissant_pari

Narcotic V. by Nasomatto, her scent, and not the scent that she wears. It is the first perfume that I strongly feel that whoever choses to wear it must be self-confident and exude an effortless, powerful aura otherwise, it is just a beautiful white flower scent. Weirdly, this perfume doesn't help you feel a certain way but it's a final touch of who you already are... The wearer doesn't seek attention. Chic, polite, great body posture, strong gaze, mysterious and her intriguing aroma. All those characteristics born the curiosity to want to learn more about her, just like her scent, somewhat inviting but they are not invited! Maybe the narcotic in the name is exactly this: you want to smell it one more time! I smell spicy white flowers and a kind of musk (not exactly like the Narciso type but same quality. It is not dirty. More fuzzy than powdery). Definitely signature worthy scent with potentially, a lifetime memory of you imprinted in people's mind. In my experience, it lasts 2 hours on the skin and then it becomes (a mainly spicy) skin scent.

foldyrhands

if you take every single white floral perfume ever made, put them all in a large bucket, and sift that concoction through a sieve – straining out all the stray chemical formulations and dalliances down other unnecessary inferior olfactory paths – you would have narcotic venus. this feels like the most distilled potent essence of what makes all white florals tick. nothing more than a heady, luscious, bubblegum tuberose paired with a sensuous, sweet, and opulent jasmine. there are other more subtle notes as the fragrance develops over its long lifetime but those principal two are all you or anyone else will care about. they speak – no, sing – and they do it loudly. the ultimate rebuttal to anyone who thinks white florals are for grandmas or for funerals. this is the genre at it's most sexy, at it's most overpoweringly alluring. clings to clothes, but smells best on bare, primal skin. frederic malle meets mount olympus.

lovesick

pearls mirroring dewdrops. marble statuettes in contrapposto stance mid-garden, surrounded by flowering ivy and trickling water. wet ringlets of hair cling to a pale spiny back. nacreous sky above victorian gates topped with sharp finials.

a greyscale springtime bouquet, narcotic venus is nacreous and blooming in white under gentle morning light from behind clouds. lightly saturated, it veers on the cool side of grapey white florals, so perfectly blended it becomes hard to pick them apart individually, with tuberose and lily being most prominent to me. a subtly sweet facet of the composition bears a resemblance to winter melon milk tea! overall, it is creamy and smooth, but with a dewy freshness which prevents it from being yet another tuberose-bubblegum bomb.

if pearls could have a scent, this would be it. is narcotic venus sensual and feminine? yes! but is it the scent of a femme fatale? no. there is something so maudlin to the composition, like teardrops reflecting the pink light of a sunrise. retaining a bit of innocence and lacking any heavy indoles or animalic notes, the scent ends up more demure than overtly provocative—the difference between eating fruit from the tree in a silk slip and biting one's lip in a bustier.

songs for narcotic venus: pearly dewdrops' drops by cocteau twins, she wonders what it's like by part time, ときめき by 3f=c, weather the weather by natalie rose lebrecht.

evarosa

Jasmine and tuberose. Natural and sweet. Not for me - I crave something green or more deep to go with the florals.

federico.rev

Narcotic Venus opens up with a nice jasmine, after some time the main ingredient of this fragrance takes the centre stage : the tuberose. This tuberose is paired with a massive dose of animal musk and a most likely cashmeran, that if you put your nose very close to the spot you put your fragrance, it gives the same fuzzy musky smell that every fragrance that features than note gives.
This could have been a good fragrance if it wasn't for all that musk.
Longevity/sillage/projection good

thestranger

I don't know, this smells a bit too straightforward for me. I'm discovering that I like my white florals with a bit of something else - and the spices aren't really coming through here. It is a gorgeous, creamy, almost lotion-y tuberose bomb, though. So if you're into that, then this is pretty great. It's pretty, but not really the "result of a quest for the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power".

ScentFan2021

One of the only (very) floral scents I will wear. Very strong and pretty, but I think it is overpriced.

I love this so much! Give me more of this heady nectar of gods. First, a blast of juicy, bubble-gum tuberose (but not aggressive). In drydown everything calms down and comes to a very creamy, body lotion-like smell. It reminds me a lot of MK White which I own and consider a safe everyday choice. But Narcotic Venus is a more sophisticated, more thought-through masterpiece of a juice. Narcotic fits it perfectly, it's addictive, gorgeous, and one of a kind.

lovetribe

masterpiece of tuberose and lily. nothing to add. excellent performance. high price but 3 sprays last 48 hours and more. for me it is unisex.

Nerweob

Sexy perfect all-rounder. Day or night, any season, any clothes.

This smells real. I get a lot of frangipani and jasmine. Green tea. Gardens in Hawaii. Blossom honey. Not sticky. Savoury floral. Almost like flowers after the rain in a humid climate.

So clean. What I think a goddess of the earth would smell like. A goddess of peace who is powerful but never has to show it.

I love this! Need a bigger bottle.

gemma_ni

Is it narcotic? Or is it soothing?

If you've been living in China long enough, you would have tasted jasmine green tea. Narcotic V is it! Even overspray won't disturb the freshness of tea-like jasmine. It is so calming and I enjoy every minute of wearing this.

The structure of the scent is simple, just like the negative space in East Asian art. The opening leans more towards jasmine and the end trail, of which the longevity is remarkable, leans more towards tuberose. Impressive but not overpowering, a masterpiece.

A moment of silence for beauty.
Breathtaking beauty.

Narcotic V definitely shares some similarities with Michael Kors signature parfum as well as Fracas, as many have said... but is my favourite of either by *f a r*. If Fracas were an introvert (which I am), — Soft-spoken, smoother & creamier, she would be Narcotic V. As for the comparisons to MK, I have this to say: It is definitely useful, but I have to be one to disagree with all the "it's a cheaper dupe for ______" sentiments. To me, it is not. The differences make it different enough that I am saying goodbye to my bottle of MK, & purchasing the largest bottle of this. I would buy it for the stunning bottle alone, never mind the intoxicating, Venusian scent ~ While I've appreciated its own beauty in another review, Michael Kors to me is sharp & angular next to this & I have to be in a *very* specific mood + setting to wear it, I've found. Which is not the case for most of my perfumes, so that tells me something.

But this... An angelic, creamy, dreamy potion. I completely agree with Churinl👇🏻
Narcotic V is the crown jewel.

Fragaddict123

Another masterpiece by nasomatto
Flowers all day long
I love it and there is a big chance you will too

Ravenrage

Juicy juicy nectar. Saturated yet soft flash of orange and pink hues. White floral is not exaclty how I would describe this, it is more fleshy and raw, but creamy at the same time.

A Barbie should wear this. Somehow I can smell a banana in it sometimes, or almost a tutti frutti accord.

churinl

At last you're mine!! I have MANY tuberose/white floral perfumes, but Narcotic V may very well be the Queen to me. This is heady stuff, so proceed with caution. Lovers of cotton candy fruitchuli freshie designer chemical fests need not apply - this is the real deal. Or perhaps they should try to get an idea of the difference between artistry and marketing.
I sound like a terrible snob, and for that I apologize. Wear what makes YOU happy. This is one that makes ME happy. It's important to use restraint when applying, as it is an extrait, and even a little too much can be suffocating. But at the correct amount (1-2 sprays) it is divine. There's an undertone of subtle fruity sweetness that makes me think that this is something that angels drink. If I sound overly effusive, it's only because I am in love!!
Oh, and the bottle?? Even more stunning in person, a true objet d'art!!

MP_Chance

Very addictive, one of the few fragrances which can suddenly come up in my head. It reminds me of white flowers in ice-cold water. Feminine, strong and modern. Works for me both in summer and winter.

Ferra_Verto

Creamy white floral bonanza; think Michael Michael Kors on steroids. A touch like Fracas due to the big white florals, but this reads a bit sweeter. Perfect for spring, summer, and early autumn. Clingy on skin and clothes (8+ hours) with big presence.

AnnaElli

A lots, lots of white floral sweetness, especially in the opening. Very very feminine, young, modern. The opening tbh was even a bit too much for me, bit too sweet I'd say. Still the sweetness is kind of yummy. After about 10-15 minutes once the sweetness subsided a bit, it settled to a pleasant white floral, very nicely balanced. I did not get much spiciness. After about an hour it becomes closer to the skin but totally enchanting and that was the moment I fell in love. Rather than sexy, I'd call it flirty, playful. Very pleasant to wear.

Andrina72

Ultra feminine - ultra pretty - but sexy? Not so much. This tuberose bomb is absolutely gorgeous. It smells expensive. It smells classy. But I just wouldn't describe it as sexy. I'd wear it to a wedding - a garden party - out for dinner with my girlfriends - but on a hot date.. probably not. Don't get me wrong, I'm tuberose fan, so I absolutely love it... but all the talk of it being so sexy, just doesn't jibe with how I feel about it.

Edited to add - The comparisons to Michael Kors are definitely accurate. It's less synthetic than MK and maybe a bit sweeter, but it's definitely similar enough to not need to own both.

Edited again - I think the lack of longevity is worth a mention here. For something so concentrated and pricey... one would expect it to last longer. I get 2 - 3 hours of decent performance and then it starts to fade very quickly.

risarii

When I sprayed my sample of this on my wrist, my boyfriend tried to eat my arm.

This is truly gorgeous and sensual. Tuberose/jasmine, slightly green, very sexy, intoxicating

Dramaloladiva

Narcotic Venus...such a pure and delicate scent!
I definitely categorize this fragrance as a Summer fragrance. It is light, airy and sweet. A bit flirtatious, a bit innocent. Nothing sexy or naughty in this scent (at least, to my nose). It is such a floral but transporting scent! It reminds me of my childhood but I don’t feel at all like a child when wearing it. I just love to wear this anytime as, to me, it’s a pretty versatile scent.
Compared to other Tuberose scents, this comes out as sweet and airy and very feminine. Not as rich and heady like Tubéreuse Impériale from BDK (which I looooooove) and not as regal as Rouge Malachite from Armani Privé (which I adoooooooore). Narcotic V. is pleasant, summer-y and an everyday scent. Perfect for any occasion.
I know that some reviews say this is a floral bomb but to my nose, it isn’t at all which goes to show each one of us is different...
I recommend this fragrance if you like florals (particularly white florals) and if you are into Tuberose and Jasmine...

I absolutely love this fragrance and snagged a bottle for a pretty good deal at the PerfumeBox.com so I don’t feel too bad about forking out $190 for just 30 ml.
You are welcome!

Rxmilogirl

I can’t get enough of this fragrance. Slightly sweet floral with a hint of spice and possibly pear but I could be convinced it is banana. Perfectly blended and so well balanced, everything just melds together to make this magical cloud. My favorite thing about it is that it smells so strong on my skin for hours and hours and hours but doesn’t suffocate everyone around me. To me, everything about this is perfect.

Bopha85

Very intoxicating. When I first sprayed NV I thought it would wear me haha. Time has gone by and this fragrance is still just so beautiful and unique to me. There are others that try to smell like NV but none have managed to capture that light airy freshness. NV till this day is my holy grail tuberose fragrance.

tandem_4x4

I am a tuberose hater. The only reason why Narcotic V is in my wardrobe is my love to Nasomatto and no place to test their fragrances.

I used it this morning at +15C for work in the office. It is a such fresh cold clean tuberose with the very solid base. I think it contradicts the name, as Narcotic Venus means a woman who sells her lover for $. This fragrance in opposite is associated in my mind with a very innocent young woman with no connotation to intimacy. It is a "young innocent silky virgin bride" for me.

ghkim

For me this is tuberose and lily, not so much jasmine. It opens with a green sharpness, but then settles down in 30 minutes into a beautiful white floral scent that is not indolic, no bubblegum, no menthol, and not too green. The spice develops over the first hour and is not heavy but just adds a touch of sweetness softness to the white florals. It's really lovely. This is one of the prettiest tuberose fragrances I have tried. I would not call it sexy. I could see this being a wedding scent. At four hours, it is only a skin scent on me, but it's a chilly day and I've taken my coat on and off a few times already. I'm hoping it performs better in warmer weather.

Musume

This is the Nasomatto perfume that deserves the name Nuda, it really smells like flesh, young, fragrant, with a bit of musky sweat on it. This tuberose is fresh, almost green, slightly spicy, and represents the best the mood and style of a young woman. I’m not young anymore but I don’t care, I use it with delight during spring and summer, it’s constant on my skin but never overwhelms. Silage is medium but it lasts about 8-10 hours on my skin so nothing to complain about. I don’t find it particularly similar to other tuberose perfumes, niche, indie, mainstream o celebrity. It lacks the indoles, rubbery notes or camphorous aspects of other tuberose scents, Narcotic V. is pure meaty tuberose petals surrounded by the wispiest of lilies and just a tiny bit of spice to make it interesting. This is the scent of a woman swimming naked in a cold lake in early April. Beautiful.

iurhaiush

Sampling this today, and to me, it's a very juicy tuberose. Someone wrote before me that this is no Madonna or Piguet (both of which I do like very much). This is more sheer and elegant, not so much vavavoom like the other two. One spray on my arm is still very noticeable some 5 hours later, longevity is quite amazing. I love this, it's like it takes me on a supernice and luxurious vacation somewhere very posh.

Anamandy

I'm curious about all the reviews that say this smells exactly like this or that perfume. Sure, simply by the fact that it is tuberose prevalent perfume it might resemble another fragrance based on that one note alone, but that's not all there is to this scent. The difference is in the blending and what is and isn't in it, making this its own perfume. I don't think it smells anything like MK or KK. I can't stand MK, so I wouldn't be able to wear this fragrance if it did. KK smells totally different too. This isn't a bubblegum tuberose either. I don't care for bubblegum tuberose perfumes and there's no Madonna or Fracas here; pretty though they are. Nor is there gardenia in this, and it doesn't smell like it either, which it clearly is in MK, KK, Madonna, Fracas, and most other tuberose perfumes. To me, it smells like the notes listed - Tuberose, Jasmine, and Lily - with a very subtle, barely there spice. That's it. That's all I pick up, and that's all it smells like to me; except measured and blended in such a way that makes it a totally drop dead gorgeous stunner of a perfume. Narcotic, oh yes, in that your eyes will roll back in your head on smelling it. At least mine did. Venus, yes, that too. This is a very seductive scent; I don't get girly, childish, or anything immature here. This is all women jammed into a 1oz. bottle. Honestly, to me this smells unlike any tuberose perfume I've ever smelled before. It's totally unique. It's not just narcotic, but hypnotic too. I've noticed some people seem to go into a trance while smelling it. I wore it out one night and had people get a dazed look in their eyes and stop speaking mid-sentence to tell me how beautiful I smelled and ask me what I was wearing – this while we were all wearing masks after my only having used 3 short sprays hours earlier. It is that mesmerizing. It is because of this characteristic that I consider it strictly a night time perfume. Any other time, like at work for instance, would simply be too distracting. No one would be able to get anything done.

I was initially gifted a sample of this lovely perfume by a very sweet fellow fragrance member here - thanks Elisabeth - but I've since bought a bottle of my own. Though I won't be wearing it often, simply because I consider this a going out evening scent, this will be the one I'll pull out when I do. For a day wear tuberose scent I'll stick to Eric Buterbaugh's Regal Tuberose, which is another beautiful and unusual take on a tuberose scent that also doesn't have, or need, gardenia in the mix. So, if you are looking for an almost pure tuberose scent outside of an absolute, and that's beautifully blended too, this is the one to get. I highly recommend it.

MissAleksandra

A tuberose-bubblegum. Very girly and floral fragrance, nice and likable but definitely overpriced seeing as it is a perfect dupe for Michael Kors by Michael Kors. It’s almost an identical scent, with small nuances that 99% of the noses won’t be able to tell. If I were to choose between the MK which costs roughly 6 times less and Narcotic V, the choice would be obvious.

Stephlo2010

This a beautiful fragrance, very girly and playful, but this smells almost IDENTICAL to KKW KimxKris perfume! I think Narcatic V. Is just ever so slightly animalicand less synthetic. There you go y’all an affordable dupe.

malessia

Mmmh this smells good. Cold feminine floral. At the start I smell a very fresh jasmine then everything blends together and it’s very good. I smell a lot of lily on my skin! Is not a love just because I personally don’t love white flowers on my skin, I am constantly afraid they will start smelling bad on my chemistry, but.... ooooh I like them! If your chemistry loves you... I think makes a woman feel superfeminine but I would like this also on a man!

Dryasiulia

"The fragrance is the result of a quest for the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power."

Ermwut? This is a beautiful bright, citrusy almost wispy innocent white floral. In the super common "trinity" of tuberose + jasmine + lily it seems like one of the three always takes the spotlight. However, on me this one actually manages to let all the boys share the stage equally; which is strangely unique~

There's also no green; but definitely something that's giving a citrus impression.

I love it but it's in no way sultry or sexy. It's fresh airy springtime for me~

s.pellegrino

White flowers, yes, but with a tart, fruity sweetness on top. Clean in an almost tangy way. This is not just feminine, it leans girly: it smells just as pink as it looks. But don't get me wrong: it does not smell cheap, this is high quality. Manages to be loud and sharp without getting screechy, as the florals give it depth, especially in the warmer dry down. A very joyful fragrance, powerful almost to the point of being exhausting. Thrilling at the right moment.

Anabol2336

When I smell this one on my wife a few words immediately pop into my head. Solar Floral, Venus, Aphrodite, Angelic, Cute, Sexy, Hyper-Feminine, Golden Age of Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Zsa Zsa Gabor etc. Honestly if Barbie had a signature scent I would imagine it would be this one. My wife's current rotation mainly revolves around this one, Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower, Tom Ford's Tuberose Nue and Soleil Blanc, Frank Boclet's Cocaine, Byredo Gypsy Water, Versace Dark Crystal, D&G Light Blue Intense, and a few Chanels, Diors, and YSLs that I just can't remember the name of at the moment. Anyway this one is ridiculously sexy and absolutely blind buy worthy for a girl of just about any age. You can dress it up or dress it down and people are going to compliment you regardless. Excellent performance on my wife as well. Lasts all day long. Just buy it!

Mad-Demoiselle

This bottle of perfume is part of the Nasomatto project. The fragrance is the result of a quest for the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power.

(that's on their official website, and is why I blindly bought this perfume)

I was so intrigued to test the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power, however, all I tested was an innocent female fragrance...

smells just like Gucci bloom, if marketing affects you like me, don't do my mistake...

Rosemary14

I pulled the trigger and bought this. I found a good deal on Fragrancex so I just had to get it. If you love Michael Kors Michael but don’t like the reformulation you need to check this out. It’s a smoother higher quality Michael. It’s Extrait so it’s very strong and long lasting too. If you’re a tuberose lover GET on this. This is for tuberose lovers.

This is an alive real tuberose fragrance. It’s thick, creamy, rich, buttery REAL, ALIVE, tuberose. I could actually smell this fragrance through the packaging it came in. You need maybe 2 sprays of this to last the whole day. I read that Nasomatto uses 40% fragrance oils so this is some serious quality. Very rich, animalic and strong. It’s just like smelling the real flower. More like a whole room full of the real flower. It’s almost too much for me and I love photorealistic floral scents so that should tell you something. It reminds me a lot of Carnal Flower except stronger and thicker. In fact it’s in a fierce competition with that fragrance right now. It also does smell incredibly similar to Michael without the harsher pickles and incense. It’s a smoother, more expensive smelling Michael. If you want to smell just like a tuberose don’t hesitate to buy this fragrance. If you want a few more notes buy Carnal Flower. Honestly if you love tuberose you can’t go wrong with either. This is amazingly strong and rich.

brumbarche

The tuberose here is very dry (not meaty and deep - no dewy notes), a bit green and slightly honeyed by the lily, but not sugary and syrupy - nothing deeper or denser than the lily, like amber, or cashmere, or sandalwood (which give different twists to similar tuberose). The pricetag for just 30 ml of this potion made me wonder what other perfumes one can go to should they feel like expanding on the joys this one has to offer:

The spices here are a bit like in Alien Fusion, but there amber replaces the lily here and makes for a sweeter perfume, and the ginger gives it a warmer hue.
Amouage Love Tuberose: no green notes, but has soft cream notes, supporting the powdery side of the tuberose vs Michael Kors for example, where you can smell other white floral notes and the osmathus moistens the the tuberose.
Mancera's Velvet Vanilla features powdery sweet bubblegummy tuberose, but the lack of greeness and the added vanilla make it too aggressive, too sweet, heaven to some - but sickly sweet for others.
Another perfume I can compare N. Venus to is Dupont's Pure Bloom, where you have cashmere and interestingly ...cherry, both adding depth and dimension to a N. Venus body nesting inside that frame.

What makes N. Venus special (imo) is the clever choice of LILY. It offers the exact counterbalance to the tuberose, being the all-in-one solution: heady just about enough, with its specific white floral greeness (similar to Cartier's Baiser Voile), and just the right kind of floral sweetness (lily sweetness reiterated by the jasmine). The choice of lily is the magic - it requires no added sweetness or greeness or other florals to partner it, but complements the tuberose beautifully. They sing in a perfect duet, with Tuberose being the featuring artist, some spice somewhere there in the back for ambiance, barely distinguishable.

JolieSucre

I received this as a gift and regifted it right away. Tacky, I know, but I'll never wear it because it's too simple and 'greeny'.

To me, this is the old lady version of Kim Kardashian's eponymous perfume that I absolutely love. It is drier, spicier, but 90% the same tuberose, albeit less exciting.
NV is such a simple tuberose that it borders on green to me. Like Lalique Amethyst's osmanthus, berries and juniper, too apothecary.

This one's added spices somehow remain on the side of the scent instead of blending with it. What I detected were a wet 'red chili' note and a whiff of cinnamon, but I am bad at notes so can't be sure. The dry down was more natural, greener than KK's, the garden tuberose and not the perfume one, if you will. I cannot justify the price tag if there are other similar scents with added sweetness, but this is just my taste- Nasomatto is known for its loyal clients, so go for it.

Perhaps those into niche perfumes really prefer the simpler accords that make a fragrance more 'natural' smelling and less commercial. However, if you like tuberose and have not tried KK's, especially if you like Michael Kors, try to check that one out before shelling out for NV. I would have never purchased it myself, and I absolutely love tuberose.

dsbmblade

I love this fragrance so much! It reminds me a lot of Far Away by Avon, but a much more refined, older and complex older sister of this fragrance.

Bluebirdpsyche

Narcotic V is a little bit like the sun and moon to me, me being the sun(heat source) and N.V. being my moon of reflection . At first, I feel like I’m swimming (probably more doggy paddling) and I’m trying to put my feet down on something sound, but I’m out deeper than I thought, and there is nothing there. I’m enveloped, and it’s like a blanket— and I’m floating in the dark, intoxicating coldness. At the same time, with a throng of warmth, it’s swells off my skin, — in a melange of floral accords—voluptuous tuberose, sensual jasmine, dewy lily,— pulsating with wave after wave, becoming more intense with my body heat. I don’t get much spice, but it must be there, something to anchor each precise unveiling of contrast between its velvety opulence and crisp purity.

Classically feminine, delicate, and simply gorgeous. Very pretty, oh so pretty, with a smooth elegance and versatility. I’d wear this almost anywhere. On a date, out to brunch with friends, a business meeting, a wedding.... its soft, aromatic, and refreshing. An exquisite fragrance.

I’ve never smelled the Michael Kors perfume, so I can’t compare the two and their similarities. If it truly is a beauty like this one maybe it’s time I do smell that one out. This actually reminds me somewhat of elie saab No 2 gardenia In the drydown...

Longevity for Narcotic V is 6-8+ on my skin.

richechka

Mmm... cold flowers, the ones that you put in vase with cold water....So fresh and cooling but at the same time not green : creamy, sweet, soft, alluring, sensual, addictive ...
Lily, lily, lily smells amazing here! I do feel lily more than any other flower and because it is so nose-catching my association with the fragrance is WHITE 🤍

White dress, white tie, wedding, Santorini, white sand, marshmallows for breakfast, new sheets in hotel, first innocent date, unicorn 🦄 - all these remind me of “Natcotic” and make me want to wear it...
There’s only one exception here... the scent itself is not innocent at all - a great seducer is ready to attack the one who dares to come closer...🤍

Good luck and be inspired 💋

vanillaflower77

This reminds me of Michael Kors before it was reformulated. Back in the day i would go into the MK stores and see camel suede, luxury soft leathers and the signature scent that oozed glamour and smelled like liquid gold.
Narcotic V is for a glamour puss that puts herself first.

bronni666

i received 3 samples in the post today. this one, and jhag's sunny side up and moon dance. firstly, i sniffed venus, not sprayed, from the atomiser and tuberose is prominent so i opted to spraying sunny side up on my wrist and all i can smell is tuberose which is not in sunny side up. just a sniff of venus overrides everything so needless to say, venus is an extremely strong tuberose perfume which i'm going to have to go and scrub off, wherever it is, right now. not a safe blind buy ladies unless you love tuberose.

Xermona

This perfume is a poem, a reqviem for a summer dream. Whenever I wear it just gives me joy, positive energy and feels like being created for a goddess. Love it, is on my Top5 list since more than 5 years now

molly1217

Dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty! Tuberose is queen of flowers, the most representative of a woman flowers with attractive smells. Narcotic Venus has magic, like Venus chains, caught me.Gentle angel, i will not forget this fragrance ...... it will open pure white wings, surrounded you.

Anast4s1a

I honestly wasn't ready for the fact that i would like it.

Beautiful volume tuberose ; I hear it throughout the life of the fragrance. It iridescents and pulsates here. But for me it yet an armful of white lilies, stems & leafs crunching in the hands... and i'm drowning in ringing greenery of the scent. And then jasmine petals by gusts of aroma in the face.
This is how my olfactory consciousness reads the composition.
Definitely charming "datura "
Deep, strong, floral with a hint on creameness fragrance; with the women's essence & delicate powder. Pepper here slightly adds sharpness.
The perfume is memorable, concentrated, persistent with a luxurious plume . It creates a fragrant cocoon with a radius of at least a one meter & he loves the wind, windy weather.

lalalalala2046

This one is definitely sexy! It’s super floral and feminine and I can absolutely see the appeal...it strikes me as a confident, very head-turning scent. For me, it’s not my personal brand of sexy though. When I smelled a sample, I liked it but without feeling the sense of connection that usually means I’m going to fall in love with a perfume.

Zanthulu

Bought this for my significant other as a "step up" from Gucci Bamboo, or rather a step into the world of niche fragrances.

She loved it, and so do I.

The tuberose is the main actor in this, captivating the audience from the first spray with its explosive performance.

This slowly settles down into a lovely mixture of loud tuberose, smooth lily and, at least to my nose, some brighter/white woods.

This is a potent perfume. Easily lasting a day, never requiring more than one or two sprays.

svbg15

The name is perfectly chosen for this fragrance. Indeed it's Narcotic Venus. Strong floral, intoxicating, very appealing, very feminine. Not for a very young woman, it is fully blossomed femininity, sexuality and confidence. Not so easy to pull off.I imagine Monica Belucci or Sofia Laurent wearing it.

stanciualexandru11

My wife owns it and its great.
Clear sharp tuberose and defenitely niche quality. Projection is moderate but the scent itself is bliss. I wish everyone would smell like this.
10/10

tandem_4x4

It might be a flanker of Dior Poison. Say poison Eau Sensuele or Legere

Bubbles1964

Flower Power in a bottle with a trio of florals: tuberose, jasmine and lily. The opening is so strong it’s like someone threw a bouquet of flowers in your face. I’m also picking up musk in the base. I like it but it’s not a love. I feel like the scent is wearing me and there’s a note or three missing.

Narcotic Venus doesn’t feel unique but it is a powerful scent. Still a thumbs up. If you love Tuberose this should be on your short list. And I am a sucker for the Nasomatto bottle, they feel and look like small sculptures.

Kots_Tanya

To me its very strong Tuberose and Lily scent, definitely headachy, I can smell Musk or patchouli or may be its (the spices) at the dry down and it kind of smells a bit masculine on me at dry down. Lets just say Im not in love and yes I was expecting more from the hype, name and color. I was expecting more femininity. Not sure if ill be keeping the bottle, too bad I got a very good deal.

Edit: so I had it for awhile now and I have to admit I did got addicted to it, I just keep reaching for it, and smelling it, it’s very good, but I also got a wild Python by mencera sample and they smell very close, narcotic v is a bit sweeter

HOUSTONHOUSTON

I think that the name does not suit the juice. Lovely safe tuberose. Fracas can be described as "narcotic", not Venus. I would call it just "Venus". It is feminine, pretty, seductive. I like it but I can get the same for 1/3 of the price.

what is this I don't even

Overripe banana tuberose bomb, but despite me not liking sweet perfumes this doesn't bother me too much and is quite pretty. The opening fades and the drydown becomes a fancy cold cream scent. Overall to me this is definitely more banana, whereas Fracas is more Pixy Stix / Sweetarts, La Chasse is more limey, and Do Son EDP, Velvet Desire, and Marc Jacobs are more safe everyday well-balanced tuberoses held in check by other white florals.

NoelleNice

This is truly very lovely, but not quite what I’d hoped for or expected. I wanted it to be a purer, ‘narcotic’ effect Jasmine, but it’s mostly tuberose to my nose. It’s creamy and heady, with a ripe banana sweetness that can sometimes be thrown from tuberose and Jasmine in my opinion. At first this was a powerhouse on my skin, but after a long dry down it was more enjoyable and soft. I can’t decide if it’s a love or like, but either way, I can’t justify the price as it didn’t quite fit what I was after. To summarise: strong, beautiful and highly feminine floral, big early projection (not cloying though) then settling down a bit, and steady longevity for hours and hours. The bottle is really cute.

FatimaD

Boring sweet, has been done many times offer before and reminds me of every fragrance out there that I never wanted to buy. Smells synthetic sweet and not sexy nor addictive. Pass
ps i sprayed my arm and was doing stuff, cleaning, and kept thinking that something smells good. i guess, after all, the sillage is very pleasant

Vanilla panda

Sample review.

Based on reviews and at the risk of sounding like Cosmopolitan magazine, I expected a sultry, fearless and hyper feminine bellísima.

My excitement damped down a bit because it immediately reminded me of something I smelled before.

For sure, there's that ripe banana illusion that sometimes accompanies white florals.
In fact, the first perfume that taught me that "by product banana note" was Estee Lauder's Beyond Paradise, an EDP I adored and wore in my twenties.

Actually, both evoke brass instruments: while Beyond Paradise is a brash, celebratory and blaring trumpet, Narcotic Venus is equipped with a cup mute, exhaling a rounded and mellow melody.

Narcotic Venus is undisputably a very balanced juice with gorgeous velvety quality.
But I expected great density and fleshiness that would qualify for "overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power."

Think about the regular, soft, pleasing facial features of Botticelli's depictions of Venus.

Narcotic? Nope.

Although it's beautiful on my skin, I'm not sure I can justify dishing over 180€ for a (tacky) 30ml bottle.
It didn't even survive a hand wash!

It's been a while I wanted to try the more affordable and much lauded Michael by Michael Kors, so I guess I'll give that semi-dupe a try.

Petula009

There is something really synthethic about it. I smell lillies the most, then spices and other notes. But it has just totally different vibe.

cocofluff

- I tried this scent on my other wrist today and it’s very lovely. It’s a typical white floral with spice however it was a little overpowering for daytime wear and also it’s a tad too “fleshy” for my tastes. I did enjoy it quite a bit though as I’m a diehard tuberose and lily lover. This perfume is extremely feminine. Gorgeous, strong, and powerful.

EDIT: So I'm sampling this fragrance again and now I LOVE it! I love the combination of lily and tuberose. It is fleshy/meaty for a while but this fades in the drydown. It's hard to describe but it's a very lovely, refined white floral perfume. Yes, I would definitely buy a bottle if I could afford it!

AnnieT303

LOVE this! I see it as comparable to Carnal Flower. They have different scents, yet a bit similar in that I find both of them perfect for a night out! Alluring, sexy and captivating!

Narcotic Venus smells like banana laffy taffy, nail polish or acetone, and candied tuberose. There's a good amount of indole, and it's pretty sweet, but it's not powdery or bubble gummy on me. Two images come to mind - the nail polish scene from American Hustle, where Jennifer Lawrence goes on about her nail polish topcoat that smells "perfumey but with something nasty underneath". The nail polish scent here seems to be an aspect of the tuberose - and it's interesting in a sort of "take a whiff of the gasoline smell when you're filling up your car" sort of way, but not something I'd like to wear. The other image I get is that this is a sort of pink and...bitchy...smelling "mean girl" tuberose. Like Regina George strangling you with freshly manicured hands. No offense to the lovers of this scent! I'm sure it smells lovely on you. But unfortunately Narcotic Venus does not agree with my skin chemistry. Good sillage, average longevity. Mild dislike.

Perfume Beginners

As someone mentioned before, the jasmine note stands out in the opening that I almost mistakenly took it as a jasmine-oriented fragrance. But very soon the tuberose came out and became the prominent note till the end.

I usually do not like tuberose a lot since they are too sweet as a floral scent but this one is an exception. It sweetness indeed reminds me of the feminity of a woman, or as its name suggests, the goddess of beauty and love, Venus. However I cannot see much about the narcotic side though I couldn't help but kept smelling the spot on my wrist and the test paper that I sprayed the fragrance on. Probably this is what the perfumists imagine as narcotic.

Anyway it is a good perfume and I would be more convinced to buy it ignoring its high price tag.

lynnnerd

Tuberose explosion. I love tuberose so I don't mind at all. I can definitely smell it on myself when wearing the slightest of applications, and people in my nearby vicinity can too. Very similar to Tocca's Florence (much cheaper alternative). A little more musk, complexity and powderiness compared to Florence, but all in all very similar. Love it, but really there's not much that can go wrong when a perfume is so linearly tuberose.

SailorV

This was underwhelming to me. Narcotic Venus is a nice white floral, but not especially narcotic and for sure not what I imagine when I think of "the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power" (citation from the blurb on this site). Besides the main note, tuberose, it opens with a lot of jasmine. On my skin, it becomes rather sharp and cold at first. In the drydown, I get more of the tuberose and it warms up a bit, but still... This is more of a clean and fresh tuberose than a hypnotic and narcotic one. Pretty, just not that special and really very innocent.
The spice notes aren't detectable at all - a plus in my book, they would feel out of place here.

All in all I think Fracas does the job of being a big narcotic tuberose much better.

i am wearing this on one arm and gres cabotine on the other-and while not a exact copy-it is close enough to me that i don't need to have both-especially for the price....gres is a big tuberose smell-so if you haven't tried it-please do-before you spend money on this.

From the website "the fragrance is the result of a quest for the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power."

I have to admit I'm discombobulated by the contrast between the name and claim of this perfume and what I'm smelling on my skin. I know I have a genuine sample, so what is going on?
Perhaps this 'cool and clean' treatment of tuberose does not like my skin chemistry because I have a similar problem with Carnal Flower. They are both just plain mean to me.
Narcotic Venus smells to me like the flowers (there are a lot of them and they are STRONG) are laundry fresh from a hefty measure of Persil Automatic and sprayed with extremely clean smelling white musk, heavily masking any yummy natural skin smells rather than joining them. How is that sexy?
I'm no stranger to tuberose but I like mine warmer, more friendly and intimate, with a bit of a growl.

I'm not writing this just for the purpose of slating the perfume, I'm so happy if you have found a beautiful tuberose for yourself. But I wanted to add a contrasting review as most of them here seem to be very positive. I think potential buyers of NV might find it helpful to know that this perfume doesn't work for some of us.

NV - Very strong, assertive, clean and fresh. Professional tuberose. Shoulder-pads and a steely determination that can power-play all day. Try before you buy.

It's not called Narcotic for nothing..... I luuuuuve this perfume. its incredibly sexy - its like a drug. I cant get enough and it takes over my mind. Unfortunately it takes over my wallet as well, so for now I will be using my testers and/or decants of this elixir. This smoky floral is so unique, and using the Michael Kors as a duplicate just does not measure up at all.

ZIAD (DUBAI)

THIS SHOULD BE CALLED "BLAMAGE"....

LadyIva

Narcotic Venus is a big white floral. Or, better: Big. White. Floral. It smells like a slightly modernised version of Givenchy Amarige, with loads of tuberose, jasmine, lily, and I swear I also smell very prominent gardenia, although it’s not listed among the notes. Interestingly, although Nasomatto perfumes are usually very strong and long-lasting, it is not the case with Narcotic Venus - on my skin, Amarige actually performs better, not to mention that it is much cheaper.

Ape Wilson

The most complete white floral experience I've had; takes a while to warm up, getting towards that ripe smell I like. Tuberose is strongest followed by jasmine then lily. I would personally prefer more lily and tuberose and less jasmine though.

addiehominem

I bought a sample of Narcotic Venus to further explore what may be a budding love for tuberose. I figured this scent, along with Carnal Flower, Tubereuse Criminelle, and Fracas, would be good barometers for whether or not I'm a tuberose lover.

Narcotic Venus was disappointing to me at first. Its descriptions set my expectations up for something foxy, seductive, and straight promiscuous, but what I initially smelled was something nostalgic that reminded me a lot of my grandmother's old house. A nice-girl floral, sweet, innocent, chaste. Maybe I didn't love tuberose after all.

Then, after some time on the skin, Narcotic Venus stops playing coy and strips itself of all innocence and sugary superficiality. It becomes a ripe yellow banana ready to drop from its branch in the tropical sun. Jasmine locks arms with the tuberose and lends some of its dark and powdery sensuality, while lily keeps the top notes dewy and fresh. They definitely play second fiddle to tuberose, but emphasize its subtle characteristics.

For anyone who is interested in trying Narcotic Venus, I highly recommend you put this on your skin and allow it to bloom before judging it. It becomes addictive and sensual, almost sexual (that ripe banana sure is suggestive) over time.

Nick1992

Narcotic Venus is a rich and radiant floral. Tuberose at its sensual best.

Very linear, the tuberose is brazenly upfront and proud, though the jasmine and lily flank it nicely. All three florals work in harmony to captivating effect; they create a lush tuberose-heavy white floral bouquet that’s never too earthy, too sweet, too creamy, nor too indolic. If there are spices here they are so well blended or muted that I can’t pick them out.

Narcotic Venus is a very feminine fragrance. One that has year-round appeal.

Sillage is enormous upon initial application, settling quickly to sit close to the skin within an hour. Longevity is very good at 8-10 hours, consistently.

Yeah i don’t get the overwhelming narcotic floral bomb others smell it as.
To me it smells like michael kors and zara rose gold.
It has the fresh green lilies of rose gold and a little bit of that banana tuberose from michael kors.
But this is softer and not as sweet.
In the dry down i notice a little musk and hint of spice.

Hawaiiangirl

Beautiful tropical floral fragrance. An amazing tuberose, lily, and night blooming jasmine explosion that bursts from your skin. Excellent sillage and longevity. The name makes sense as well: this stuff is definitely addictive. I kept sniffing my hand...This was made for tuberose lovers. It is beautiful and the scent seems to gather heat and get hotter and hotter until it catches fire on the skin!! Never have I had quite that experience with a fragrance before. It starts off rather innocent and pretty and grows into the vixen of all vixens!! Absolutely appropriately named, Narcotic Venus just might be sex in a bottle!!

YolkMedusa

Pleasant, clean, soft, innocent, little modern white floral. Almost even soapy at times. The overwhelming wholesomeness is just ever so *slightly* offset by tuberose's natural risqueness - but only just barely.

The name does not fit the frag at all imho. Venus was a femme fatale.

miss mills

This is beautiful and feminine as hell but ultimately on my skin it is a blurred down Fracas with a ton of added jasmine. I'm not able to pull off Fracas so this would be one I'd seriously consider if I was a tuberose lover who didn't want something as in your face as Fracas. It's unique enough to not be smelled on anyone else around you (hopefully) and this is seductive as heck too, that definitely doesn't hurt.

Tigerlillian

Hope: that Narcotic Venus was as dangerous and enigmatic as Nuda of the same house, conceived by the same nose.

Expectation: a versatile full bodied floral; a crowd pleaser for lovers of big whites according to reviewers below.

Narcotic Venus meets my expectations, predominantly tuberose, but not tropical or creamy, fresh, slightly green; jasmine delivering a delicate sweetness; lily some cool allure; just a sprinkle of spice for sparkle and a haze of loveliness.

Very similar to Byredo Flowerhead, but not quite as green, and a little shyer. Less atmosphere.

Beautiful, yes. Narcotic, not so much. Easy to fall into this bloom, but not under its spell. It's a big like for me. This is a very well crafted scent which will get much wear from those who own it. However, I truly hoped for something as daring as Nuda in a different hue.

Nuitdenoel

This is the sort of scent I love. Rich, thick tubereuse and jasmin, on a bed of slightly powdery lily. It has just the right amount of florals and animalistic notes. This is full-bottle worthy to me. I only have a dab on sample so I can't comment on sillage and projection.

bintTapputi

Minor update (2020): There is literally nothing not to love here, had a small little drop in my sample left and feel so sad to see it go. SO feminine, so innocent and beautiful. I had to buy a bottle.

A feminine scent, soft and sweet. Very classically feminine. Heavily floral. Initially deep, old-timey but camouflages into a sweeter, brighter scent as it sits. Great longevity. Sort of torn between a youthful girly playfulness and a mature, elegant aged woman; it’s a juxtaposition that it juggles with grace. A real winner for me. Really brings to mind the ideal sort of lady one ought to be, ambitious and soft, brilliant and shy. It’s wonderful. Should also note this is through and through Arabic jasmine (فل), it’s like wearing a lei of bouquets of it around your throat. 8.5/10

Cauda Pavonis

A dense, syrupy, sensual floral; Aphrodite in a bottle. I usually find tuberose a bit too much but here it's... well, it's still too much but it's so gloriously too much that it's just wonderful. Much sweeter than most tuberose fragrances I've tried which may be why I'm loving it so much. Compared to SL's Tubereuse Criminelle, for example, this is a much sweeter, more fleshy, more obviously floral fragrance. Easier to like. If anything it reminds me of another favorite of mine, Amarige. Narcotic Venus is right, this is a joyfully voluptuous fragrance. Sweet but sunny, ultra feminine but in your face, unapologetically lush.

blake.lee

This is my favorite scent and one of only a few I have gone through multiple bottles of. I wore it on my wedding day and my wedding planners husband, who was escorting my father and I to the doors of the church for my walk down the aisle, whispered frantically to me "What perfume are you wearing? I want to buy it for my wife!" right before the church doors swung open, lol! I should note my wedding was a little unconventional. A November wedding. The theme was the Day of the Dead, brightly colored and celebrating both life and death, the beauty of now and the spiritual journey of our ancestors. We had a troupe of beautiful, scantily clad burlesque/pinup dancers dressed in black complete with ripped fishnet stocking perform at the reception. This scent fit the occasion perfectly! It's my husbands favorite fragrance on me and my favorite fragrance on me. It's a lush, creamy, bold white floral with a touch of spice and animalic musk. It's extremely creamy and sexy on my skin. There is no cold green to it like in some big white florals such as Carnal Flower. The stems, leaves and dirt are no where to be found, only velvety and sun warmed petals and fertile pistils. It radiates warmth and sun but it's not an overly tropical white floral either. It's sweet, but not as loud and sweet as Fracas. I find it modern but classic, sexy but elegant. My signature since 2010.

LLB_addict

Well said Suzy *clap clap* I just tried a very small spritz and it is enveloping me with deliciousness! The best animalic/white floral for me right next to Kiss My Name. When I get off my "no buy"....this WILL be the first bottle I will buy!

Death by tuberose for me, it's way too cloying. it is indeed similar to Michel by Michel Kors another perfume that I dislike.

noora18030

a great perfume to wear in colder days

Narcotic Venus has been recommended to me by the shop assistant as “You will get noticed!”… well, that’s true for sure. If you like getting noticed all the time though is another question. As I don’t like it, I was very hesitant buying this. Tried it on a paper strip first, took that strip home, smelled it again and again… went back, tried it on my skin… left the shop again… and kept smelling at my hand. Went home, took a bath… and still smelled it. This went on for a few days until I was convinced how badly I needed this scent.

On a paper strip, Narcotic V. opens with a fresh tuberose, slightly soapy and not too sweet… but also not very green… more like a frosted tuberose, flanked by jasmine and lily, all well-balanced. The scent stays a while like this and then fades.

But on the skin, what a difference! It’s still a fresh and intense tuberose opening here, but oh, such a soft, caressing scent, enveloping you like a gown of white silk on your naked skin. The frostiness - some called it “steely” or even “aluminum-edged” - is gone on skin and this in a very subliminal way which entrances you imperceptibly.

While Fracas is a very bold, creamy, milky tuberose, Narcotic V. has such a well-measured, harmonious balance with a lush freshness that it’s like a breeze of tuberose scent enwrapping you… soft like the foam of a bubble bath running down the curve of your back and down your legs.

And it mainly stays that way… just the intensity fades a little, so the tuberose develops into a skin scent without changing much, with a strong longevity (I get +8-10 hours). So it hasn’t many twists and turns in the dry down, but sometimes I don’t desire this anyway.

A mankiller scent? I wouldn’t say so… it’s always the intention you have which sets the direction. Certainly though this “Extrait de Parfum” (highest concentration of scent, containing 15-40% of aromatic compounds) is NOT office-safe as it can emanate an intention, so to say. It’s a scent for special occasions, when you expect some things to take their turn, but in a sophisticated, adult, confident way. It isn’t a cute or giggly scent for a teenager.

And as a side-note: The sillage is softer when worn in summer on warmer skin - in winter it can be very bold, so I recommend spraying just once at the height of your belly… or even just spraying into the air and walking through. That’s enough or you might get a nauseating intensity of tuberose which keeps you from enjoying for example a nice dinner...

mrsg34

Sweet, smooth Tuberose blended beautifully with Lily and Jasmine to create a lovely creamy feeling. Extrait, so don't overspray and you will have a comforting, beautiful scent for hours that will draw compliments, certainly full bottle worthy for me.

Dr.ThraX

Was trying to sample this when I almost got 1ml on my hand ( accidentally ) . Take my advice , handle with care .. it's too strong the hole room smelled tuberose .I had to go out for some fresh air, not that it smells bad or anything. Wish that silver musk or Absinth has like this incredible aura.

victoria.mei1992

At first it smells divine, but maybe after half an hour it starts to smell like cooked cucumber. Yuck.

Marissaluvsscents

Smells just like Tocca Florence to me.

bronstein

A nice high quality scent that is by no means as dangerous as the name suggests. It is fairly suitable for everyday use, and in that respect of a higher quality than your average Hugo Boss female scent. For business women who have been promoted, so to speak.

I'm here asking me, where does it come the construction of ideas, which borders on perfect, the perfumers who work for Nasomatto?! Because honestly, perfumes I could have already Maison access so far, all of them constitute a subjective act idyll represented the natural and possible to be felt through the most exquisite sensibility. Without a doubt, Nasomatto is ace in wake of living beings who enjoy the fragrance aesthesia to live a daydream "simple," yet untold.

What makes me also greatly shocked at these houses that produce scents competence that is Narcotic Venus is the thunderous ability to deal with a number of minimum grades in the olfactory pyramids, and among them, manage to cause an almost endless combination of chords while the fragrance unveils simplicity, it also exudes a multitude of predicates that our vain imagination lack not account for wonderment.

Narcotic Venus opens with a bouquet of dewy tuberous by serene, freshly picked and still stalks the green aspect is evident here, juice, sap same, something sublime feeling. And these tubers are becoming and we come to think that there does not evolve any more, Ledo mistake because it comes at a huge subtle touches of jasmine, also living and naturally that a certain combination joins the tuberous bouquet forming a only bouquet of white flowers. The smell is so precise that it is instilled in the mind at least the first 4 hours.

The Jasmine continues in fragrance, except that here, the down dry, he puts his claws out, and becomes very fetid, intrinsic characteristic of white flowers, and a bottom half woody, dark and narcotic that between us I never imagined that there could be an odor like that. Very reminiscent of the smell that Jasmine exudes during the nights, only direction closely and even large doses, pro look "dirty" it mark the trajectory of fragrance so that you will not forget it anytime soon. I confess that I found difficulty in adapting this stage here, however, the proposal is just so innovative that acceptance is a good.

Winning the difficult phase of Jasmine, there is the apotheosis of Narcotic Venus, its base, which brings the delicacy of a good fresh lily, but so cool you in thought is referred to a plan of peace and tranquility, as well as absurdly clean. Go figure, while it is dirty, it is clean too ... And in the meantime there in the sky Lily, appear some spices, so bland, flashy or intolerable anything but restrained and that gives the fragrance a light ardor kind of smoked by Canela, aromatic in its entirety.

The purpose of the Narcotic Venus name assigned to the fragrance, is entitled to why his investiture at least consider. The fragrance liquid color resembles the planet that even taking the name of the goddess Venus, it's not so apparent, but draws attention for its eccentricity and brilliance. Alessandro Gualtieri, I love you for creating such a beautiful, thank you!

Tuberose, and Syrian Jasmine, with slight roses, a hint of sweet and fulla flowers (Jasminum Sambac) as well! it's white and pinkish. charming and very acceptable.
