This perfume is absolutely beautiful! Delicate and charming! Love the opening smells like a red lipstick turning powdery, clean, and sweet at the same time . Orris root, musk , cotton candy, and some floral hint I get. Last on meat at least 8hrs!

I was intrigued by the cotton candy and vanilla notes in this but on me it is straight up baby wipes and baby powder in the beginning and then pure baby powder with a violet/iris sort of cast to it from then on. Nope

Reminds me of a powdery Delina excl. You can sample via LaParfumerie - Raleigh.

First half hour on my skin is that very lipsticky-type smell. The drydown is more tolerable. It is almost mouth-watering sweet like a candy I've had in the past, mixed with a powdery smell. I can see this being a very popular smell, it's well blended, it's just maybe not for me. Completely gone after 6 hours, maybe sooner but I'm not sure (I woke up from a 3 hour nap to find it gone).
You can find samples of this on scentsplit.

This one is a really beautiful fragrance. Gorgeously blended, harmonic, feminin, ethereal, elegant but modern, deep, creamy, balsamic & powderly with a lot of layer. Sweet but not cloying, but definetly not a warm weather daytime fragrance.in my opinion It is signature scent worthy. Or i can imagine for special occassions, like night time culture programms ( +maybe date night) for example ; like going to the ballet, theatre, the opera, or an art gallery- exhibiton opening, or a classical music concert...etc.

• Very delicate, nicely sweet, well blended.
• This peachy and flowery bouquet smells very fresh and beautifull but warm because of ambrette and amber notes in it.
• I see it more as a young people fragrance.
• And actually, this perfume has a lot of layers because of all listed notes you can find in it. Like a tutu dress...😉
Maybe therefore it's called Ballerina...

My mom is a ballerina so I often buy her ballet themed perfumes. She has Guerlain perfumes for Bolshoi theater, and I thought this one would also be like French classic perfumes of the past. So I bought this perfume as a gift for her without testing it first. She’s not really into that scent at all 😆 This perfume ballerina is more like a teenager girl in a tutu, sweet and absolutely unprofessional. Ballet is her hobby not life. She’s NOT a Ballerina.
I mean it’s an ok perfume. Cotton candy and vanilla.
Before doing a perfume for Ballet they should’ve visited ballet theaters, go backstage, see their repetitions (trainings). Backstage of ballet theaters have very distinctive beautiful smells of costumes, decorations, make up, dust, and that thing they use for ballet shoes (I don’t know this word in English but it has a strong smell), also some sweat as well. That what I expected from this perfume and got just a stereotypical vanilla tutu.

Orris powder!
Wow... Now this is the 2nd stunning blend i adore from Moresque! It is sooo balanced that makes you wanna cry! The orris, the cotton candy, the powder, musk, ambrette, tonka, peony, angelica, & bits of tangerine, & sweet vanilla amber. I sooo wish that it will remain linear like this all the time cause i believe i started to smell more on the sweet leverage and maybe it is getting some how imbalanced! i hope not :|
As far as i've reached, this blend is amusingly put with an incredible balanced notes that the majors are orris, & powder, while the minor are sweet and tangy musk. Beautiful.

This was a risky blind buy for me because it's not cheap and I had to get it from overseas. Also, I'm not familiar with this brand. But I took a chance based on the notes, especially the cotton candy and vanilla which are two of my favorites. Ballerina smells amazing! Blind buy totally worth it, and I'm so relieved. The scent is lightly sweet like a rosy cotton candy, very feminine and it ends in a powdery cashmere drydown. Sillage is excellent and I'm hoping the longevity is good. I'm going to reach for this bottle often. This Ballerina is a Prima and she smells like it. It's definitely going on my top shelf!

I’m finding this perfume to be addictive, but not because I love it. It smells as if you’ve taken a cashmere jumper, sprayed it liberally with a sweet floral fragrance, and then stored it in a wooden trunk for months. Upon opening the trunk and putting on the jumper, you’re met with a dusty, stale reminder of the perfume you sprayed on it months before. I’m not sure I would ever like to wear this fragrance but I find it oddly comforting and enjoyable.

BALLERINA by MORESQUE is a gorgeous, billowing, powdery intoxicating fragrance... with a dual nature.
The perfume, to my nose, opens with a cloud of top notes that smell similar to the opening of CHANEL - POUDRE 19. The dry down however reminds me of the sweet marshmallow gourmand scent of DOLCE & GABBANA - POUR FEMME INTENSE.
It's a gold and off-white antique vintage powdery opening with a hint of green sharpness - similar to Iris, although Iris is not listed here in the notes of BALLERINA.
The top notes disappear however to unveil beneath it a dry down that is a soft, youthful, creamy - almost playful - angelic marshmallow / ambrette sweet skin scent.
In my mind, as a story-line, I picture a young ballerina, getting ready backstage for her debut performance... she opens an old dusty vintage mystical costume trunk, and reaches inside to pull out a gorgeous 1800’s-style antique, beautifully-aged gold and off-white with patina, tutu. The costume has a massive long and heavy crinoline base – just like the tutus Degas’ dancers wear in his paintings...
The young, agile, graceful ballerina then takes to the stage and floats effortlessly as she performs her solo piece to the spectators’ delight.
In my mind, BALLERINA by MORESQUE is a beautiful, powdery, heady, dual-natured fragrance: a powdery vintage patina perfume akin to the antique tutu – which covers and later reveals hidden beneath it a soft, sweet, angelic, gourmand, marshmallow / ambrette dry down - youthful and modern - like the young dancer.
