This is sweet and refreshing aquatic. Not very sharp. little fruity like unripened mango.
Little similar to H24 edt by Hermes.
Pleasant fragrance.

This smells like absolute grass reminds me of my nonas medicine cannot I'm not sure how they can sell this as a cologne. Do not recommend you actually cannot wear this🤮

flori_coo

I had originally bought this fragrance after catching a glimpse of it in a photo for "best summer fragrances." I wanted a niche that nobody I knew had owned and tried to be different. I blind bought this fragrance, but I was so lucky as to smell the best fragrance for the summer I believe I have ever smelled. It comes off very citrusy, with some vetiver and wood in the background, it is very alluring and is almost like a lemonade. I do not get too long of longevity on my skin, but this was absolutely worth it in my opinion.

cats_eye

One of my favorite fragrances. I'm not a big Mancera/Montale fan, but they knocked it out of the park with this one. This is clean and woodsy, but simultaneously warm and cool at the same time. It smells clean but earthy. Amazing stuff.

Lando1976

This fragrance reminds me of springtime where I live. Sunny and warm then heavy wet snow but the air is crisp, clean, fresh, earthy. Beautiful fragrance.

Felixthreeone

Very versatile vetiver. Uplifting blend that doesn't 'wow' me with a particularly vetiver-centric core, rather builds around it with supporting notes. It isn't a powerhouse, per se, but considering its fresh structure it performs really well off my skin. And I have pretty dry skin. Refreshing, and definitely an easy reach for Spring, summer, and even late summer into fall. Overall a really good value.

kaleb_mi20

This was a love at first smell for me. Its the friendliest Vetiver I have found, and works great in the summer heat and humidity where I live. The vetiver here is very subtle, as its mostly a lime and lotus fragrance. But, its still there and gives it a unique touch. The only negative thing I can say about this scent is that it might not be so memorable with how friendly and crowd-pleasing it is.

Mina Abdo

Very refreshing citrusy vetiver. Really good release from Mancera. Perfect for dressed up summer outings.

MarkoK87

Nice scent, but its too much feminine for my taste🙃

MildZinc

It’s very pleasant smelling. The citrus is definitely the dominant accord in this one. The citrus still stays strong in the dry down, but the other notes can be picked up more later on. It has a great slightly sweet note that I assume is the orchid that you don’t find in many other fresh fragrances. I’ve noticed that the citrus and orchid seems to project a bit more, you get more of a smell of mint and patchouli when smelling closely. To me, this fragrance has very good longevity for more of a fresh scent. I sprayed my sample about 2 times in my bedroom to get the atomizer working, and i could still smell it 1.5 days later, even with ceiling fan running. It doesn’t smell synthetic like I see many people say about other Mancera fragrances. I’d say it leans more masculine overall.

tat-who?

Layer it,2 sprays this 2 sprays Black Gold ,Takes it to a different level :-)

This as of rignt now is my favorite Mancera. I love this fragrance. Mancera's can be quite synthetic. I actually don't find this synthetic. I've smelt more realistic citruses but this is still great. It opens up with citruses and some vetiver. It's a citrus bomb. First whiff I actually pick up on a fresh vetiver but then the citruses quickly take over. The orchid starts to show into the mid. The floral aspects become pretty prominent for about 20 minutes before you hit the dry down. This is where you need to be careful. Some will find the orchid note feminine. I actually like it but I can see some being turned off by it. The dry down is nice aswell. Clean, soapy, slightly woody fresh vetiver.

I believe the name "vetiver sensuel" fits perfectly here. Some have noted that the title of vetiver is misleading. I disagree, the vetiver is present, it's just very clean, soft, and soapy. This actually might be the cleanest vetiver I've ever smelt. As seeing this is perfectly unisex the name really works. It's a sensual and soft take on vetiver.

While it is very clean and citrus foward you need to sample this first since the florals will not be for everyone. I can see some finding this feminine. When I get whiffs of this in the air I'm in love. I get the image of a rainy foggy spring morning with a basket of citruses that are all wet from the rain. I truly get a foggy, rainy, and hazy like vibe from this. 7-8 hours of performance with moderate projection. In conclusion, it's that good sh*t. This is my Cedrat Boise

Mancera Vetiver Sensuel my favorite summer scent,
Lots of green and lemon in the opening, When it dries, it turns into a slightly sweet gourmet, moisturizer-like scent.
Good scent for summer .
Scent 9/10
Projection 8/10
Sillage 8/10

TOTAL 9/10 i Think

mcanter123116

I tried a decant of this and haven’t decided if I like it or not. I find the citruses quite pleasant and effervescent but the whafts of vetiver contrast the brightness in a more mature musty type way.

chakde99

I was looking for vetiver on the other end of spectrum(I already had Encre Noir A L'Extreme then). For my picky but non-trained nose this one is a very good buy.

Opening is fresh and it projects for just under an hour on my skin. All the compliments I received while wearing this one were in first hour.
It then makes good personal scent bubble for another 2 hours and by 3rd hour becomes very close skin scent. Another hour and it's gone.

Dry-down is little more complex while still staying soft. As my bottle ages dry-down is getting better. It never gets to dry vetiver scent profile (Guerlain Vetiver, Encre Noir) and I like that. It doesn't have a strong presence, so this will be a great office scent. I would just freshen up mid-day.
I wore it 4 times in low 40°F weather and it lasted only 2 hours for me. For me this is definitely a spring and summer scent.

This is not a must buy or highly sought-after, but I doubt anyone will regret it unless they paid full retail. 7/10.

Bergamet

I agree with the reviewer below, the word "sensual" in this case is a synonym for "soft". I blind bought this based off of the notes and the reviews because citrus + vetiver combos are my all time favourite scent profile and I assumed it would be risk free. It's clear that this doesn't quite sit amongst other 5 star citrus-vetivers like Terre d'Hermes, Grey Vetiver, Guerlain Homme or Bergamote 22. I have a few reasons for this initial assessment.

Firstly, the bite has been taken out of the citrus opening almost completely. It's neither tart, juicy nor punchy, there's no initial 'blast' of freshness - instead it feels like a soft suede made from a very fine, slightly bitter zest. Very soft, very subdued, and very different to what one might expect from a perfume with these notes.
Secondly, all of this softness means that the scent doesn't really project, regardless of how much you pack on. It stays intimate and that's probably why it's described as office safe.

Edit: sold it.
Finally, while I do enjoy the dry down it sits very close to the skin and doesn't really do anything particularly exciting. Terre d'Hermes dries down a little metallic which has always caught my interest. Grey vetiver dries down outrageously smooth and uses several different kinds of vetiver to achieve this balanced effect. Bergamote 22 dry down is nothing amazing but it has probably the best citrus opening ever. Vetiver Sensuel settles into a dry, green, mildly sweet vetiver with a faint hint of lime zest.

Soft, safe, subtle and subdued equals sensual I guess? It's very nice, but I have decided to sell my bottle. It's the fragrance equivalent of a pair of blue jeans, nice enough and almost always suitable but with a big enough collection, easy to forget.

razorsedge

Amazing soft Vetiver scent that isn't actually a Vetiver scent so to say.

See, the Vetiver in the name makes you expect the normally strong Earthy Dry Dark Vetiver like Encre Noir, or the iconic Guerlain's offering. Or something that has Vetiver as the main note in it.

But what you actually get is a Citrus-forward fragrance with soft Vetiver undertones in it, and touches of Greens and Florals to nicely tie it all up. This is even more casual and laid-back that Tom Fords Vetiver, if it was ever possible. A Vetiver scent for people who don't normally find the usual Vetivers appealing. You could remove the Vetiver from the name and it wouldn't change a thing.

Vetiver is felt in the drydown, and even still isn't as pronounced. And it's not a bad thing.
The scent is very fresh, soft, sensual, with light glimpses of Vetiver in it. Totally unisex. It's not your regular Vetiver and I love it.

I only wish it lasted longer.

phpbb

This a very nice modern citrusy vetiver.
Absolutely unisex and office friendly.
This and Vetiver Extraordinaire are the best modern vetivers.

JusttheFactsMan

#487 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

I like vetiver a lot. I know most every man on Fragrantica already has Encre Noir, but I prefer Encre Noir A L'Extreme specifically because it has a lot of vetiver. It's not always the perfect note in every fragrance, and I don't love every fragrance that has vetiver, but almost every fragrance I love does.

I purchased a full bottle of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver before I discovered Fragrantica. Had I seen the notes and ingredients before hand I never would have done so. It's weird to be a North Carolinian where everything is pimento this and pimento that, and not like pimento in my fragrance, but even a touch of it ruins a scent for me, and so Grey Vetiver, for me, is a scrubber. I also have the Guerlain Vetiver, a more complex scent that I like much better that TF Grey Vetiver. And I also have this Mancera Vetiver Sensuel, which is less complex than Guerlain, but I slightly prefer it, though it's largely similar, because I'm not big on tobacco which is a note in the Guerlain scent.

That said, I tried a decant of Frederick Malle's "Vetiver Extraordinaire" early in this process and there's just no going back from that. It's the Dior Homme Intense of vetiver scents. Of all the vetiver-forward scents, it sits at the apex IMO. If you just want a vetiver scent and don't want to drop a car payment to get it, I think Mancera "Vetiver Sensuel" is a fine, versatile option for any time or place, though it's on the weak side of EDP potency. I personally would probably just wear Encre Noir A L'Extreme instead. But if you're really into vetiver and can reasonably save your shekels to get the Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire, it really stands head and shoulders above those other options.

thiagovidotto

Amazing opening. Weak drydown.

Kamulop

Out of the Mancera frags I have tried, this is by far my favourite. The smell is very realistic and natural. Quite dense feeling, but not too heavy. Invigorating, zingy, professional, very pleasant. To me, this is very unisex, not leaning to either gender. Not very youthful in my opinion, wouldn't suit a teenager or people in early 20s. I'm 26 and honestly feels a tad bit too mature for me still. Performance is great and sillage is quite good also, not loud but noticeable. I like this one.

.

Tonifigz15

A really nice scent. Fresh, clean and professional. The realistic citruses and vetiver are very well blended and performs well too. Doesn't seem like a head turner but I really love how invigorating the smell is, so it's a 10/10 for me.

A4-paper

imo better than TF grey vetiver and Creed original vetiver. Even though they're not entirely comparable as this has a far less 'serious' vibe. This one's just more enjoyable than those: its a slightly sweet, green citrus with a sparkling effect.

Sitting for a few months has improved performance on my bottle, need to see how it does in warmer weather now.

slick lou

Had my eye on this one for a long time. I was able to snag a tester for $70. The opening starts off with a juicy fresh citrus blast. On the dry down is where I pick up a soapy light vetiver with citrus and light woods. The scent starts off very citrus and floral heavy, then on the drydown is where the woods and vetiver amp up lightly and the scent starts to lean more masculine (IMO).

Projection is good for the first hour or two, then the scent sits close skin. This is an excellent office or day time scent for the spring summer and fall. Nothing ground breaking by any means, but it is blended well and develops with time.

If you see this for a good price, I would highly recommend getting it as it is getting harder to find for at discounters. Can easily be a dumb reach signature daytime scent.

8.5/10

Birdie Banks

Great blind buy. Extremely wearable by both genders. Like the other reviewers, nothing ground breaking, but it’s a great buy. It’s an easy reach for me and I’m glad to have it in my collection. Grey Vetiver is not comparable to this frag in my opinion. Grey Vetiver is much spicer.

Vlad Gorneanu

As a vetiver lover I blind bought it. The opening has nothing to do with TdH, the dry down is in the same ballpark but not the same. This is a lot more wearable vetiver than TdH or Tom Ford Grey Vetiver etc. The fragrance smells nice in the dry down. Nothing groundbreaking but it's a Mancera and that means great performance in comparison to other Vetiver bigs (Guerlain, Tom Ford, Luttens, etc). I paid $80 for the 120ml and it's totally worth the money. My wife also likes to wear it, it's a vetiver she can easily wear.

Salohcin2148

A little citrus, very watery, white florals. Hint of sweetness as well.

Unisexual leaning fem.

Have to spend some more time
With it. Average performance as of now for first impressions/wear. Good but not a vetiver unless it peaks its head in the late dry down. Be back for full review.

DinaSan1

Lovely summer smell that isn't aquatic at all
*HOWEVER*
I am a little let down by how quiet the mint note is (which is one of the main reasons I purchased this one in the first place) and by how barely noticeable the woody notes are...
Also not too keen on the citrusy zesty opening (which thankfully pretty much completely disappears after about 3-4 hours)

Pretty good overall, but keep in mind the notes are a little... *unbalanced* (mainly dominated by citrus and vetiver), I barely feel anything else.

smellsconfuseme

This isn't bad at all, smooth citrusy musk, but in my opinion it is a crime to have vetiver in the name, to me the note is barely noticeable here. This smells like a "niche" CkOne mixed with the current Dior Homme Sport with some added florals. Not bad at all, very pleasant smelling, leans slightly feminine for me though as the vetiver is almost non existent.

StankFrank

Wow this stuff slaps. Got a sample & ordered a full bottle after 2 wears. Juicy citrus opening, vetiver appears and carries thru a sweet floral soapy mid. Unisex most of its life with a masculine leaning dry down. To my nose this drys down very close to a niche Versace pour homme.

Sample giving very nice performance from 2-4 sprays. Wears classy on a man & casual on a woman. Sexy on either. Great for summer day into evening.

dogmeat

For having vetiver in the name, I thought it would be more prominent in Vetiver Sensuel. The citrus and mint are just as noticeable on my skin as the vetiver. For me, that was unexpected, but I'm not disappointed. This is bright and fresh, but it has a soft/fuzzy quality as well. It makes me think of sunlight being filtered through gauzy curtains. This is nice for a hot day. It smells clean and handsome. I'll be reaching for this one a lot as it heats up in the desert, where I live. Good stuff.

awinder

Smells like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver and Catier Déclaration had a baby in the best possible way

Joalo

Very underrated great fragrance, good spring and summer scent with normal performance 5-7 hours, 80 dollars for 120 ml great price

aroutis

Fourth Mancera for me ,along with instant crush, cedrat boise and black gold.
From the aforementioned ones, I don't particularly like Instant crush which I just don't find it to my taste.

Now to the subject at hand, this is one lemony, peppery , and yes, sensual I should say vetiver fragrance . It is not sweet (which tbh when I purchased I was afraid it could be) and with just 3 appliances (one at each side of the neck, one at the back) I cannot stop smelling it.

It smells gloriously to me. Big thumbs up.

Also it layers great with Black gold !

1Constantine1

This is another where you have to be wary of good reviews. I bought a sample just to be safe. There is one which describes this like clean soap. Not only is this correct its basically a gentle inoffensive floral with a hint of wood . It does last and project however. So as a lady its a safe buy . Infact my wife loves it! As a guy there are better subtle freshies out there. Tom Daxtoms Iridium immediately springs.to mind.

clintjr82

Amazingly fresh. Super Soapy Vetiver. Citrus, orchard and vetiver. It’s blended so well, it’s hard to make out the notes. Balanced and not muddled up. That’s why it’s a true niche scent and brand. The Orchard gives it that airy slight dirty effect. Everyone loves it. I bought a bottle. It’s worth every penny of the $100 I spent. Great projection and lasting power. This works better on a man. Mancera is my new go to brand now. This is my 5th scent of mancera I bought this year. Try it or buy it

Riceasnice

This is lovely stuff, suitable for office or day drinking/lunch in the sun. Quietly projects without ever becoming overwhelming.

Layers well with ADP arrancia di capri 👍

speedracer

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is quite the departure for Montale. It’s light, airy, sparkling, and fresh. Very unisex.

Usually, with a vetiver scent, you either get earthy/dirty or clean/green. Vetiver Sensuel leans into the clean/green.

Is it sensual? Maybe. Depends on your idea of what the word means. If it includes clean and put-together, then yes. Maybe it's that unisex feel that gives it some mystery and sensuality.

For me, it doesn't project like the usual Mancera, which is to say it has probably average projection. But it does last on the skin, creating a small bubble of clean scent for most of the day.

gxbjw

This is the little cousin of Terre d’Hermes.

Vetiver Sensuel is juicier, sweeter and more refreshing than its older cousin, but still is earthy and aromatic. I reckon the difference maker is the insertion of mint and orchid which definitely provide additional fresh and zesty facet that overcome the dirtiness.

I think Vetiver Sensuel can be worn by people from any age range in any outfit and is perfectly unisex. Although, I think it suits hot weather best. This fragrance has an undeniable mass appeal, but for some it might be too designer-y.

The performance is moderate across the board, but considering the scent profile it should be expected.

A big like for me.

leggomyprada

Super bright and invigorating blend of citruses and vetiver. This is one of my all-time favorite summer scents, and it brings a smile to my face every time.

Mint and pepper are subdued, but drydown is a nice musk that lingers for quite some time, especially for a freshie.

10/10 citrus freshie in my book.

sakecat22

First impressions - a lovely mix of citrus oils. Vetiver is there, but in the background until the citrus fades. Then it all becomes a close-wearing vetiver, mossy musk. I find the whole quite lovely and very wearable.

alexandrehomobono

It's impossible not to get vetiver from this juice. People either can't smell this note, or they don't know it. Very good for the price, performance is great, can be worn for work, casual events, anyday anytime, would just go for simething heavier when it's cold.

Padhee83

Cousin brother of Aoud lemon mint minus the Aoud.
Opening is bit different with a sharp lemon opening.
It's woody and lemony. I don't know if I detect much vetiver. Mint is also there which imparts some similarity to Aoud lemon mint. Honestly it's citrusy, minty and woody and nothing much special nor there is anything to dislike. Just a pleasant scent with average longevity and sillage. Not like other Mancera monsters.
It's an average pleasant scent so nothing to blow your mind. A like.

Sgs

a pepper bomb and orange last all day with a little sweetness in the drydown.
in the background i can't detect any earthy vetiver or mint, but maybe it like menthol + patchouli + moss make this fill your nose then disappear.... then show sensual, last longer...

e2less

It's a very nice fresh summer fragrance but its a weak Sicily with a vetitiver base. Got it at a good discount so I'm not disappointed.

MF82

Very weak on my skin, after an hour or so it's completely gone even with a lot of sprays applied. I love vetiver but I can't smell it at all in this misnamed fragrance. It's more about a blast of refreshing citruses (mostly lemon) that covers pretty much everything else. I mean it is a pleasant scent but the vetiver in it, if any, is almost imperceptible. All in all disappointing, especially
for the poor performance (at least on my skin).

jokcoy

If you like vetiver note, then it's good for you. I like vetiver, but this fragrance doesn't give any unique kind of vetiver scents. It doesn't project well and need to respray a lot, especially if I spent a lot of time outdoor. It smells pleasant but very basic.

6FCX19du

After five or so sprays from a sample bottle I still wasn’t sure if I gad gotten any scent on my skin. After couple of more I get a light fresh whim to my nose every now and then during the day and that’s about it. It’s barely noticeable, but you will smell something after spending some time in a room, then going to another and returning to the same spot. Just not much.

It’s fresh and citric. I might have smelled a bit of vetiver in this one when I was spraying it, but then again maybe I imagined it. It’s definitely not the main focus here, as the name would suggest.

Vetiver sensuel doesn’t smell like unpleasant, it’s just weak and not really vetiver-y. Even though this wasn’t what I was looking for, I gotta admit this is a friendly and fresh summer scent. Not sexy, not very anything but agreeable and easy. Smells a bit like you would have spilled an exceptionally fresh mojito on you.

Hawaii Jake

I love the vetiver in this juice. The opening citrus gives a rush. The dry down is full of dry grass. Vetiver is one of my favorite notes and I love it in this juice.

MANCERA VETIVER SENSUEL
4/22/22

What a disappointment. Performs terribly outdoors. Trying a 8ml sample I bought from Mancera. I sprayed about 6 good sprays because I knew I would be outside all day in Philadelphia. Sunny, blue skies and 70 degree high today. Wearing just a t-shirt all day. I could barely smell it the first 2 hours, and then nothing past hour 2. Smelled like lemon and flowers for those 2 hours. And I love vetiver, but I never got a whiff of it here. A shame.

My son was walking next to me for 5 hours in Philly...and he couldn't smell it. This might be ok indoors in office, but for outdoors...it was worthless. AVENTUS or AOUD LEMON MINT would have been perfect today outdoors. And I have better stuff to wear at the office. Glad I only bought a sample!

I own 4 120ml bottles of Mancera and recommend all. Wave Musk, Red Tobacco, Aoud Lemon Mint, and Saharian Wind. Hope this helps some of you.

Michael62

I couldn’t agree more with the below comment from DrNdJas. I’m really straining to smell any semblance of a Vetiver note at all. It’s overly citrus heavy, similar to the overload of lemon in Aoud Lemon Mint (what mint?). A synthetic overload like Aoud Lemon Mint which is another disappointing blind buy from Mancera. I will stick with my favourite vetivers and use this sparingly or as an air freshener.

DrNDJas

Vetiver like I’ve never smelled it. In fact, I don’t smell it. I’m trying to imagine it’s in there, somewhere. Maybe… it’s definitely floral. Something a bit soapy in the drydown. The orchid note hums in the background like an old fluorescent bulb, a persistent droning that gives off some pale light but slowly drives you mad. Like all Manceras, this smells synthetic and abstract- the notes are merely suggestions. This entire house is the perfume equivalent of an art gallery full of Kandinsky pieces. I think if they listed a different note pyramid, we’d all think we smelled those instead of the ones listed above… yeah, I still don’t get any vetiver.
If you hate vetiver, I think this is the perfect vetiver fragrance.

jay5000

Love at first sniff

calypsocat

I have a 1,2ml tester of it and somehow when I feel whiffs of it I get so much of this orchid that for me it leans more to the feminine side.

Vapor Trail

This is a very clean-smelling fragrance, not unlike Guerlain's Homme L'eau Boisee in the opening but much more floral in the drydown. While it has vetiver in the name, it's much more about the citruses and florals to my nose -- the vetiver is definitely there, but only in a supporting role, as if only to balance everything out rather than announce its presence.

It's definitely a unisex fragrance. I'm not a big fan of rose or other such florals, but I have to admit that this one is very well done. It's not your typical Mancera and I think just about any mature adult could pull it off, especially so if they like "clean vetiver" fragrances. Performance is good, 8-10 hours with solid projection on me.

Wacaz

If you feel Encre Noir is too sharp and earthy, and if you find Tom Ford Grey Vetiver edp too soft and subtle for your taste, This is the right balanced vetiver for you.
Opening is limy fresh, good as most of Manceras.
After few minutes vetiver kicks in but subtle lime stays for quite a while.
In the dry down soft woods and oakmoss joins in.
Very good for summer days.
Performance is also somewhere between Encre Noir and Grey Vetiver.
Overall 8/ 10
-------------------------
Edit: Performance has improved with the use and it has grown on me.

Crisp, clean and fresh. Been wearing this all week since I’ve gotten it and love the way it smells. Just wish it projected more like other Manceras but this is definitely my fav so far. I’d say it’s blind but safe since I bought it if you love citrus and lime.

58gremlin

This may not be as powerful as most Manceras, but the blend and quality is just as good as any of them. This is a very nice fresh and woody fragrance with great sillage and lasts all day on my skin.Definitely glad I bought this one.

jacobnoergaard

First full wear. I think my nose has to adapt to this. It's probably the WEAKEST out of my 100+ collection of fragrances. I get the FAINTEST hints of bergamot and musk. A bit of a mildly sour/sweet fragrance that is very very close to skin. I have a hard time smelling it even if I put my nose right onto where I sprayed. Perhaps I'm anosmic off the bat.

I'll give it a bit of time and try again. It's a rather new batch of the 60ml bottle with the pressurised atomizer (magnetic cap). But if I were to evaluate it now, it's a very weak fragrance that way overpriced and totally not what I've come to expect from Mancera.

Edit: I ended up swapping this away. It was simply too weak for my nose/on my skin. A shame.

Arber Cami

Like the name suggest, this is a classy sensual vetiver. The vetiver is quite smooth not harsh at all, really unique with the citrus, moss and floral aspect of the orchid. I absolutely love it.

victorrespes

Smells the same as Floris Bergamotto Di positano edp And Goutal paris Bois D Hadrien edp

mommymilkers

The citruses, patchouli, and mint are the ones I think are most detectable. Sort of masculine leaning, but can be worn by some women. I personally don't think I could ever pull this off. Very strong, possibly a bit headache inducing, but overall a good scent for hardcore vetiver lovers. Never tried this on skin, probably never will unless someone around me is willing enough to offer ;) Kind of smells like shampoo, or a bathroom after someone has taken a bath. Very fresh and green.

NickZee

TF Grey Vetiver with big bright citruses and a prominent tea note. Surprised not to see tea listed in the note pyramid. Excellent performance

PapaTLooch

This smells almost identical to Acqua di Parma Mirto Di Panarea if I'm remembering correctly. Bright, bittersweet citrus opening that's very energetic. Definitely leans feminine and not sure why everyone says otherwise. Reminds me of a younger girl for some reason. Not a whole lot of vetiver, way more citrus/floral/musk. Very nice and fresh spring or summer scent. It's a bit sharp and cloying for my taste but the dry down mellows out a bit.

Returned to this after letting the bottle settle for 4 months. Now the first day of summer has arrived, I’ve given this a good spritz.

Not sure what the difference is when you leave a bottle to rest, but the lime, pepper and vetiver are lush. What a combination. 👌🏻

This is getting sprayed constantly this summer. A fine frag.

Arber Cami

Really nice and fresh, not an earthy vetiver. Even if you're not a big fan of vetiver, you will like this scent. Classy smell, really nice for spring and summer and office safe also.

jsweet361

I wore this for the second time today. Today I took it for a ride at the office. I laced up about 5 sprays around my neck and chest area, and I very much enjoyed this.
I have to say that I am very surprised at how citrus forward the opening is. The bergamot and lime really blend very well together and creates a very lifting, cheerful scent that keeps pushing up to my nose. Very lovely.
When the dry down starts to happen, that is when the true magic begins. There is a musky, sweet floral that comes in, and it is very much enjoyable.
It finishes off with a nice clean, but not dry like TDH, vetiver mixed in with a woody note that is not too overpowering that is blended very well and still remains very enjoyable throughout the rest of the dry down.
Overall, a very wearable vetiver scent that remains enjoyable throughout all of the scent shifts throughout the day. A good work/office scent, but it can also be enjoyed in casual environments as well. I think I will be looking for a full bottle of this when my 15ml decant gets a little smaller.

For some reason I accidentally got the sample of this perfume thinking it was for women, and then I saw in the page that it is actually a men perfume. I tried it in any case, and I was beyond surprised with this fragrance. The first spray was all citrus, lots of bergamont, pepper and lemon, very fresh, then only a second spray later and I had to stop because this scent is loud, like I am talking "Beast" kind of loud, or at least to my nose. Once it settled down a little, the smell completely changed to very minty and woody, it brought memories of old times, like the one of a boyfriend who always used fresh and musky colognes at parties we used to go in where all we did was kiss and kiss for hours, it made me giggle while remembering... the dry down is very sexy, is super woody but you get the vetiver note so well balanced that it really makes a difference like a mix of wood and earthy like scent. I really would love this perfume for a mid 30s or early 40s man, who wants to go on dates in the city or just to go party hard and get lots of fun, this is definitely the perfume for that. Mancera rarely disappoints and with this one it sure did nailed, Stunning Fragrance!

Awesome Freshness. I will be buying a bottle for my summer rotation. A fresh smooth, rosy, vetiver and slight sweet scent. The silage and performance is gigantic, you will leave a scent trail in the air backed up to at least 7ft. I received a compliment from an elderly woman on how wonderful it is. Recommend to try or buy.

If Encre Noire is sharp, dark, and cold, Vetiver Sensuel is sharp, bright, and outgoing. Perfect for people who enjoy “subtle standout” pieces in their life. While it might fall a little flat at night, this is perfect for any daytime situation. The opening may come off a little much to some, especially if you go heavy on the trigger, but a little patience will pay off.

Best for:

1. A change of pace to your office/work scent.
2. Midday gatherings with friends or a lunch date.

Fresh citrus and vetiver with a tinch of sweetness because of the amber i think. It is named right it smells like a sensual vetiver, fresh and sweet at the same time. I passed this in earlier testing but i think my nose will slowly grow into it. Definitely a good consideration if you are into vetiver. Nice frag by Mancera.

MarkoPeeko

Blind bought last week. Read a few reviews. As a big Guerlain, TF, Hermes Vetiver fan, I thought I couldn’t go wrong here. And I’m not disappointed. Heavy on the citrus to begin with, but the dry down is fantastic. Lots going on. I pick up a similarity with L’eau D’Issey during the dry down, but that changes after 20-30 minutes with a deeper wood and Vetiver base setting in. Got a good price on this, too, which adds to the enjoyment of wearing it. Not my fave Mancera, but a bloody good frag that lasts hours.

curt42

Luv this. Really fresh, not sticky sweet, fruity or "Blue". Reminds me of Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche, or TF's Grey Vetiver if you put more citrus and sparkle on top. The vetiver is there but not inky or earthy in any way. Good performance. This is going to be moving up the charts fast.

mansfer

Not crazy about this one, I was hoping for a prominent vetiver note. had I just sniffed the fragrance not knowing the name I wouldn’t have even guessed vetiver was in the mix. to me this is inoffensive enough, but it smells more like a home fragrance than a perfume. it’s like a musky woody cashmere scent. I don’t hate it, but it’s nothing special really. if you like true vetiver notes from the essential oil, this isn’t it. this is more of a fantasy vetiver. I don’t find it particularly citrus-y smelling either. perfume is strong and long lasting i’ll give it that. once I use up my decant that’ll be enough of this one for me.

Trendkill97

One of my most favourite Manceras for sure. This is so uplifting, calming and elegant fragrance, reminds you of walking by a soft green grass on the hills beneath the blue skies, with the sun shining bright in the air, while not being too hot, the cool breeze flowing over you, wow. So special really. It does remind me slightly of Nishane's Wulong Cha, but that is much more brighter. This scent lasts well, projects well when applied generously, and overall is a must must sample if you have come to respect this house. Everyone who tries this and gives it some time, would most definitely crave a full bottle. Personal scent, to elevate your mood and maybe of those near and close to you around. Fresh orange, mint, citruses open so amazingly well, really held together, and the subtle floral background gives this scent more character before it dries down to the vetiver-musk, woods backbone. Complex, inviting, gorgeous.

Overall: 9/10

mhsidibe1

It smells very bright and uplifting, but the performance is not great 4hours with moderate projection.

cranky137

Leaning towards Terre d'hermes.

smelly_man

An excellent choice for the summer!
It reminds me very much of Amouage Beach Hut man. But it does not have the heaviness which Beach hut has. Because Beach hat has myrrh.
The performance is excellent.

Ericstraordinary

This is a great vetiver fragrance. Vetiver notes can vary wildly from one to the next and in this instance it is used to perfection.

With Vetiver Sensuel you get a clean, bright, and masculine vetiver that isn't overly herbal or hay-like. This scent is very inoffensive and has enough citrus to give it enough lightness to be uplifting without being overtly fresh or aquatic.

Longevity, as with all Manceras, is excellent.

The bottle and atomizer are both topnotch.

This precious gem finally arrived at my doorstep after so many months! I am so glad it doesn't smell like TDH to my untrained nose. TDH to me smells more spicy. VS smells really pleasant, smooth, clean, citrusy and woody. I love the burst of citrus upon initial spray (oh so good). The dry down is even better, love the clean vetiver earthy scent at the drydown. Not an offensive scent.

I agree very much that this perfume has to be smell from a distance and not directly placing your nose on the skin. Glad to come across this scent in my lifetime!

Blacktundras

Nice fresh vetiver, but not my kind of pleasant. I would appreciate this kind of fresh scent more so on a man. It smells like something awesome on a hot lumberjack in a flannel t-shirt and a giant hacksaw!

whyohwhy

Not a woman, so I don't matter. Here goes!

I received this as a bonus sample on some order I placed a while ago. Wasn't looking forward to another vetiver scent because I already own terre de'hermes EDP, which I very much love and enjoy. If I didn't have hermes edp, I'd just buy oud for greatness, as vetiver and oud have that same sort of scent profile to my nose. Vast difference in price though!

I compared this (Vetiver Sensual/VS) to Hermes today and it's a toss up. Hermes has a much better opening, and it smells good as a trail or if you sniff your arm. Vetiver Sensual's opening has a lot going on, so it gets kind of muddled; I was so ready to just throw it away and stick with Hermes. However, after an hour, it's become such a beautiful scent and is in fact better than Hermes. Why? It's simply because there's more depth to VS. For example, hermes to me is Orange and vetiver, it's wonderful. This cologne is definitely vetiver, but it's got a more earthy/mossy sort of note to it, as well as all the citrus; it's really nice. That's probably why they're both rated the same.

Hate to say it, but it's a toss up. I disagree with all the people saying this doesn't last long; it's certainly outlasting Hermes. It's been about six hours and while I can still smell both, the VS is definitely outlasting the Hermes. I'd say Hermes probably lasts 6-8 hours, and this would last about 8-10 hours. With that said, Hermes is a very straightforward scent, and it's lovely; orange/vetiver. This scent has much more depth, so that might be why it's lasting longer, but ultimately it comes down to... Do you want a vetiver that is simple, pleasant, predictable, and is lovely all the way through? Or do you want a vetiver that's carrying a lot with it, so you can appreciate different notes throughout the day? Like, I dislike tobacco and leather notes together; so I have one tobacco based frag and one leather based frag. With that concept it mind, Hermes might be more appreciated.

So what am I gonna do? I do wish I found this before Hermes, because I'd have bought this instead. Granted, I'm not a woman, so my opinion doesn't matter. Unfortunately almost everything is dictated by women's tastes, so, you'd do best to get samples of Vetiver fragrances (Hermes, this, etc) and ask multiple women you find attractive to give you their input. I guess I'll bookmark this and buy it in 4 years when I run out of Hermes, assuming I'm still alive *knock on wood*. Although by then there might be an even better vetiver scent!

Plus side....This scent trail is amazing. The lime trail.. roll my eyes....YUUMMY!! I am not typically a big fan of citrus scents. Most have never been a LOVE or even a like for me. This one is!!! I placed a total of three sprays on and its trail lasted for a solid 5-6 hours. My thoughts was that is pretty good for a citrus scent....

Downside....this is not a scent where you should take a big whiff in the place you sprayed. This is a scent you enjoy from 8 + inches away. When I placed my nose to my wrist the smell is not .....the business. However when waving my hands in front of me....I find that amazing scent trail again

This one is tricky....It is an amazing scent that I receive lots of compliments on ....however I do not enjoy the scent up close and personal

landshark321

One of Mancer’s recent releases is Vetiver Sensuel, which immediately smells like a mix of light vetiver with citruses and florals. Some notes that seem to stand out are a mix of citruses (lemon, orange, bergamot, lime), pepper, vetiver, mint, patchouli, and a blended base of woods and musk, mainly. So it’s a formula that seems like it’ll produce an agreeable perfume, and that’s largely true in my wearing of it. There’s not much to dislike; it’s very easy to wear.

Vetiver Sensuel is not quite as deep or interesting as other “fresh vetiver” scents, like Roja Vetiver Extrait or Dua Fragrances’ recent original, Pretiosum Vetiverum. It’s a little less sharp that Guerlain Vetiver, however, so it really might work for many a summer vetiver scent that is pretty inoffensive.

Overall, I quite like it—I associate Mancera and Montale with heavier scents, typically, so it’s always nice to a see a freshie release that’s fun like Cedrat Boise or Aoud Lemon Mint. It performs reasonably well and is sold by Krystal Fragrance for the standard pricing of $180 for 120ml.

My LOORD!!!! This scent is so invigorating. A potential mood lifter.

At first I was disappointed because the composition turned too sour and earthy on my skin when I put my nose to it directly. But then I caught whiffs of it in the air and was like "Is that me!!?". Its magic works remotely!

On my skin it smells like freshly squeezed lime and salt. A salty, limey, bitter, rind made even more realistically crisp by the woody nuances of vetiver. I imagine someone just harvested fresh limes from their orchard and cleaned them in cold water for a meal and the limes are still attached to their stems. Later on in the dry-down off my skin it's almost lemonade or limeade-like in scent profile and its gorgeous. Off skin, in the air I get the combined aromas of the beautiful sweet orchid flower, the fresh mint and finally the woody and grassy vetiver to man-up the scent.

This scent definitely reminds me of Guerlain Homme l'Eau Boisée and gets happy* points from me for that. However much like l'Eau Boisée, Mancera VS is not long-lasting about 4-6 hours maybe but has serious sillage when it exists. It goes in a direction of bright lime enhanced vetiver that personally reminds me of either a cold, foggy, dewy, morning in the mountains of Indonesia or a sunny warm midday on the beach in the caribbean.

I got a sample of Vetiver Sensuel from Krystal Fragrance and it is GOOD! It definitely brings to mind Terre d'Hermes, but it's better. The vetiver is clean and bright and the citrus bite is slightly stronger than TdH. Also, the mint, oakmoss, and musk give it more depth. If you like TdH, put your nose on VS.

Jubs30

I am a big vetiver fan and this does not disappoint. On the mid you get the citrus, especially lime and about 20mins later you are hit with the vetiver and orchid.

This is a clean vetiver scent rather than smoky or dirty vetiver. This differs to Tom Ford Grey Vetiver but shares some similarities to Bois de vetiver.

Not a projector but longetivity is really good, and I am looking forward to wearing this during the autumn. Being a Mancera the quality is there, with superior ingredients being used. On the whole, this may comes across feminine due to the orchid note which might put some men off.

Overall, I give this scent 8.5 and if you are a vetiver fan definitely give this a try.

xmelldefrag

Vetiver Sensuel is an attempt by Mancera to escape from its usual scent pattern, just like Saharian Wind and Feminity, Mancera seems to try to expand its olfactory range.

Vetiver Sensuel is a welcome addition to the family. With the burst of citruses in the opening which is led by lime, it has enough sourness and bitterness with the fruity aspect of the scent. Later on the mint comes out and brings the whole concoction into a mentholated-orange-candy territory, before turning into clean vetiver scent.

The overall scent feels quite herbal and calming actually. maybe this is the "zen" aspect that is advertised in its ad... Actually it's kind of different than the zen that I expected. I was hoping for a green, and calming scent, but this one will do too.

As for the bad news, for a Mancera, Vetiver Sensuel doesn't have enough staying power, unlike other Manceras. I wear this on my shirt, and it only projects moderately within 3 hours, and then I need to put my nose on my wrist to be able to smell it..... such a shame...

I just wish this could project more, because the scent is gorgeous.

Can't wait to try it...

Vapor Trail - you're absolutely right. I'm not even paying attention to these nonsense.
And also be prepared to read lot of that kind of comments:
- Mancera Vetiver Sensuel is a synthetic mess.
- Mancera Vetiver Sensuel is too weak and already reformulated.
- Mancera Vetiver Sensuel is complete meh. Cheap supermarket 5$ scent.

We all know the modern critic how it sounds.

Vapor Trail

Once again people are voting without having tried the fragrance.

30 minutes longevity and soft sillage from a Mancera fragrance? Yeah right...

Mr Cornells

Ha! It's definitely "Vetiver Sensuel" for me! Judging by the note pyramid, I love the fougere character of this fragrance! Hopefully I should get this before 2020 ends...
