Angel Eau Sucree 2015 by Mugler is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. Angel Eau Sucree 2015 was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Dorothée Piot. Top notes are Red Berries and Sorbet; middle notes are Caramel and Meringue; base notes are Patchouli and Vanilla.

Thierry Mugler presents its annual limited edition of Angel from 1992. For 2015, the house launched Angel Eau Sucrée Limited Edition 2015, which bears the same name as the last year’s Angel Eau Sucre (2014).

Angel Eau Sucrée, described as a decadent scent of sinful pleasures and angelic indulgence, invites you to surrender to the sweetest temptation of this irresistible gourmand composition. The perfume’s composition does not differ from the previous one; it is composed of juicy accords of red berries sorbet on the top, sweet caramel and meringue cream in the heart, and patchouli and vanilla in the base.

The fragrance comes in a new bottle of the signature star shape, darker in comparison to the last year’s edition and decorated with sugar-like texture at the edges. It is available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

This perfume makes me feel classy and stylish. The beginning of Angel Eau Sucree 2015 is a little sweet then gradually it becomes sour and creamy, it is almost linear and does not change the notes much as it soon comes closes to the skin scent! Aside from the smell of patchouli, I also smell mint that is very similar to the smell of mint used in Aura! Which brings the atmosphere of the other Mugler perfumes family to the mind! In my opinion, Angel Eau Sucree 2015 is suitable for all seasons, but it is more suitable for mild weather! It lasts a long time, with moderate to low projection but I wish it wasn't like that as I love this perfume, It is such a shame that others can't detect such a beautiful smell properly. Yet the beautiful star shape bottle with its sugar grains can attract everyone's attention to itself!

mmmmgood

...doesn't smell overtly feminine to me at all. I wanted something sorta playful and juvenile that I can layer with Un Jour d'Ete/Keiko Mecheri...and this hits the spot for me. Made my next door neighbor's cat, rub up against me...and thats the first time that effin' cat has ever given me the time of day. Cat's name is, "Miss Thang"...go figure.

MilaiaFoxe

I had no idea what year this was until I saw the stunning pink striped packaging that made me blind buy this in TjMaxx a few years ago in the first place. I believe this and Nova are the only fragrances I have liked from Thierry Mugler.

The best of the Eau Sucrée flankers (although they are essentially all very similar). This one is the perfect combo of sweet caramel meringue and sour red berries. With a manageable dose of Angel patchouliness in the background.

Eau Sucrée 2014, 2016 and 2017 came very close but 2015 got it just right. This is the one I would love to have in my collection again if I could get my hands on a bottle.

Have you ever stored a bunch of random candies in a plastic container for a few weeks and then taken a huge whiff of the air trapped inside? This is how this scent starts off for me. It’s not as bad as the original EDP and EDT, but it can be a bit much for someone who’s not a diehard gourmand lover. The dry down is much less sweet; think of either Angel Muse minus most of the chocolate, or Cream of Wheat with extra sugar added to it. I like it, but I would definitely buy either Aura or Angel Muse before this.

This perfume and I are forbidden lovers. It's a right person wrong time situation. Wish they still made this. It gets me lots of compliments and I'm dreading the day I run out.

rchayes

I wanted to like this, but it has an odd mintiness to it that I don’t like. It sort of smells like the original angel edt (not the 2019 version) with an added sour note and mintiness. It’s not actually very sweet. The 2019 edt is very very sweet though.

If Angel EDT is one step away from Angel EDP, then Eau Sucree is one step and a tiny shuffle over. Distinctively lighter and more foodie than its siblings, but with a recognizable lineage.

Sucree retains a hint of its predecessors husky patchouli, but layers intensely juicy, sour, and tart berries and fluffy, mouthwatering sugar on top. Unlike other flankers, I don't detect a warm vanilla at all, as the sweetness clearly originates from a nearly candy-like meringue. The sorbet is distinctly present too, as a citric icee-pop scent that I can almost taste. The overall effect is not like a freshly baked pastry, but instead cooling and refreshing like a popsicle. Despite all of the sweetness, the softly woody patchouli and tart berries temper the sugary influence so they don't become cloying.

Overall, Sucree is a nice alternative for the heavier Angel EDP (and flankers) when it is warm out. My only complaint is that is is not as long lasting as other Muglers.

Summer gourmand. As much as it might sound as a contradiction, that's what Angel Eau Sucree is. For me, it's a quintessential Mugler. It is indeed sweet, and that sweetness is present all the time. But in the beginning is toned down by red berries and sorbet notes. Patchouli is tamed but it's there, countering sweetness as well.

I wore it on purpose in 30+ Celsius to test, if it's not overwhelming in the warm season, but it's not. In fact, it suits perfectly. It lasts about 8 hours. The other day, when I thought it was gone, but I was told I smell uniquely, so my nose must have gotten used to Eau Sucree.

It is sweet, but also fresh and juicy. A summer take on gourmand I totally buy.

mellymel10

Such a pretty smell. Sweet berries and cream over a patchouli base. Sadly it does not last 2 hours on me. Such a shame.

Gourmandlover

Oh no I shouldn't have tried this! I bought a sample of this and when I tried it yesterday for the first time I immediately knew I need a full bottle of this! It's just a very lovely gourmand, also suitable for warmer weather because it's kind of cold/fresh sweet. It has decent longevity and sillage. And it's not generic, maybe because it's a Mugler scent? I tried a few of his scents lately and I found of all of them are uniques scents.

Update: I'm getting a little obsessed with this scent. Even when I'm not wearing it, I think I can smell it lol! At the moment my opinion about this amazing perfume is that to my nose, it's close to perfection. It quickly became my number 1 favourite.

Just walked pass my coworkers and they said I smell like cupcakes. Said I smell tasty lol I felt put on the spot. The three of them surrounded me and made it the topic of discussion

vintagelover

Tart berries on top of a chewy meringue. It's really fresh and sparkling and ever so long lasting on me. I hate attributing fragrances to age but as a lover of the classics and vintages this is not some thing I would not usually go for. It smells youthful because it smells so fresh. I'm 38 and have no issue wearing it. Its a great summer choice!

kati77

Sugarish meringu, with an alcoholic berries.
Yes, I'm getting the smell. Super, because surprisingly the gourmand perfumes I like much, but this one i do which is a surprise for me. It is a pity that this is a limited version.
For now its a gourmand scent that I can wear and its only few of them for me.
This version of Angel is for those people who do not like the basic version of Angel.

muncierobson

I’m a Mugler junkie - Angel EDP is my signature, I layer with the entire range of accompanying body products and have really enjoyed some of the flankers (Le Gout de Frangeance and Liqeur de Parfum in particular!).

Eau Sucree is very well done. At first there’s strawberry.. or is it cherry... perhaps another nondescript red berry.? It is freshly sweet, like a chilled drink with crushed ice and fruit pieces.

The powdery meringue builds this soft but long lasting cloud around you. I won’t say mist because that sounds moist. Eau Sucree is dry, yet with this cooling and refreshing whisp.

Think crumbled white and fluffy meringues under the red berry jus! Nothing is burnt here. The meringue is lightly toasted but never sticky.

I would like to think of it as a ‘Voile d’Ange’. It lasts on my skin well into the next day and is reactivated by heat. I can wear Angel EDP most of the year but on those scorchers this will be a fine substitute!

The bottle is great - the sprinkling of icy droplets have glitter in them and the bottle fits into an Angel star stand. Looks fab!

itannajones

I really liked the scent strip of this in a mailer I received. I purchased two bon bons of this. Upon first spray, it is deliciously sweet. Then this dries down to a dirty mop smell on me. Grr patchouli!! The bottle is sexy looking, though. I was hoping this would be the angel for me. SCRUB A DUB DUB off it went. Pm me if you have a fragrance sample to swap with me. I didn't open the other bon bon.

greyhoundmom

Bright, clean, and sweet! What a beauty this Angel is. Gorgeous bottle, the sugary frost of glitter and electric blue is perfect for this fragrance. This is the sharp, cool patchouli we all know and expect from Angel but with a buttery, fruity dessert quality like lemon meringue pie with cherries on top. I adore Angel but this flanker really shines. Wildly successful blind buy! Highly recommend if you're an Angel fan.

placid

Very strong, almost medicinal.

Mirella86

Easily one of my favorites. I use it on colder days, it doesn't seem appropriate to me to be using it in the summer. It is sweet, it has some of the Angel vibe, but it is not that similar. I don't think you will like it if you like the original Angel. I don't, so this is a big love for me. Caramel, vanilla and some red fruits, perfect for those cozy autumn days, while sipping hot chocolate under the blankets

Sara74

Tart and bubbly red berries at first and then a cool and fresh sugar merengue rush, just love it:) This is an "airy" crisp and light gourmand fragrance, quite original in my opinion. The bottle and the package is also lovely (2015 edition).

ssaminn

I'm a die hard fan of Angel and I love berries but I don't like this because it's too sweet and does have a dominant cough syrup smell. Patchouli is buried under tons of sugar and any darkness that notes like chocolate or even caramel provide in Angel are eliminated.
Also, it reminds me of Pink sugar a little bit. Of course, miles apart quality wise, but they have the same vibe in my opinion.

Not to my taste, but still much better than a lot of generic gourmands out there.

ninastarsong

I love Angel and I love this just as much!!!....It's Angel with pink sugary wings and a meringue berry tutu. The two scents complement each other so well that I like to layer them together...The combo is divine!!!!!! I cant stop smelling myself when I'm wearing this........I adore Angel Sucree!!!!

loonad

This is my second purchase of this scent-needless to say that I adore it. This scent makes me happy. It is a scent associated with good memories: anticipation over the arrival of my baby, the day I gave birth to her and all the laughters and tears from that day on. I won't go into details about the notes as you guys have already done a brilliant job of that. For me angel eau sucree is the scent of pure happiness.

Gidrocity

first spray and I totally get the original angel vibe, few seconds later it tones down significantly turning into a light scent, hint of berries, but it also goes away pretty quickly, and the last notes I smell is zephyr, it smells yummy but I am not sure I want to smell so sweet and food oriented and also because I feel like every other girl from the age of 15 to 25 has it and I am looking for something more exquisit

Soofiya

I know that I've already written about it,but now I know that my friend's sample was about previous year's version(light blue bottle).as soon as I saw 2015 version in a perfume shop I grabbed it.I thought sucree 2014 was so delicious,so how much pretty 2015 is going to be with more gourmand notes.I know it's a childish conclusion but it turned out to be right.they're very similar but 2015 is a tad sweeter and more buttery.I'm a gourmand lover so I'm always looking for them and I have to confess angel sucree is among my top ten gourmands.and I still believe it's more a fall scent than a summery one
highly recommended to all gourmand lovers.this one and angel muse are so delicious that made me change my idea about the whole angel line
I'm thankful that it matches with my skin chemistry and I can't get anything medicinal or sharp here, just edgeless sweet, caramelized goodness with very good projection without being cloying
it happens very rare for me to repurchase a perfume, but I know I have to stock it and make sure that I'll never run out of it.I want to bath in this melted deliciousness forever

For The Love of Perfume

I must say that I totally agree with EVERYTHING that Soofiya is saying!!! It definitely has a caramel cream, vanilla, and red berries with a hint of patch. Such a beautiful blend. And not too strong. I am not getting the medicinal or cough drop smell that others say.....maybe its body chemistry. I definitely love this one.

craftymaya

First, it definitely has some spirit from the original Angel. IT IS STRONG!!! I agree with people saying that it has a medicinal vibe (cough drops) and I could not run fast enough to the sink to wash it off. It projects all around you. Probably the patchouli. Super strong. Funny, sometimes, I wonder if we all are talking about the same perfume. So glad I just bought a sample!

Soofiya

One of my friends gifted me couple of samples and decants and angel sucree was amoung them.it's so yummy and so pretty that I can't even describe it.it's not a complex fragrance but I was hooked and totally in love from the first sniff
I could detect all the notes listed.there was definitely caramel, cream, vanilla, redberry sorbet and a hint of patch but they are so well blended that it seems they're melted in and made a unit super delicious, very creamy concoction that I can't get enough
I can see angel genes in it but there's just a very faint shadow of them.so that even if you hate original angel you can love this one
It's a year round wearable gourmand IMO.because it has sorbet among it's notes doesn't compell me to find it a summer scent.right now it's autumn here and I know if I buy my own bottle Ican enjoy it rightnow
Longevity and sillage are angelish, not as much as original angel but still very good
Oh well,my must have ASAP wishlist is expanding again

Blossom Dreams

This is absolutely beautiful. It's nothing like Angel, except that it is a gourmand fragrance. It's soft and sweet with a decent sillage and excellent staying power. Along with the berries, I get a delightful soapy scent with this. It reminds me a little of Tendre Poison. The berries aren't sickly sweet either like some of the fragrances on the market these days. Every note is subtle and delicately blended. When this was released in 2014, I've never bought a fragrance so fast. I sprayed it and then I was up at the counter within 30 seconds. I'm now on my third bottle. If you're considering a blind buy ... do it!

stanfield65

This is a beautiful masterpiece, I can't quite describe it but it's far from innocent or light hearted.
To me Angel Sucree is what a very mean kitsune, those evil and pretty naughty japanese fox spirits, is wearing to pretend she is a cute and soft girl on a date at a country fair, filled with sweets and cotton candy, with a human she has fallen in love with. The mean and evil heart (of Angel perfume) is still hidden there but a sweet soft illusion is being played out for loves sake. A very addictive love affair that she knows will end up in tragedy when her true spirit shows.
Needless to say I'm in love with this perfume.

Eesa

This is so sweet and delicious. Love red berries. The patchouli isn't too strong as it is for me in the original Angel. I love it so much, but unfortunately it's not very long lasting, lasts only a couple hours for me. It's pretty similar to Victoria's secret Victoria, except Victoria is weaker and shorter lived. I'm really loving it and will probably be able to use up my bottle since I can refresh it so often, and spray liberally when I do.

Tamirah

Just got my second bottle of this and it's really so gorgeous. There's a bit of a cough drop-type element in the opening that I actually really like - the weird medicinal quality referred to - the berries and sorbet have a definite tang. The patchouli floats in on that and makes it a bit weirder, but then that creamy middle with caramel just calms it all down. Not syrupy or heavy like original Angel (which I also love). The drydown is edible and light. Definitely Angel's younger sister, and only a fraternal twin of 2014's AES, as it's a bit warmer with the caramel and not as sharp as 2014 AES, and not as serious and mysterious as original Angel with its chocolate-patchouli witchery. This is almost carnival-sweet, intriguing and fun for all ages. I love this one.

Daria_21

I blind bought this a few days ago, and the scent itself is amazing. Gourmand lovers will not be disappointed!

Sweet yet sour berries in the opening is my favourite part. I really love that sour note - it's fresh, bright, and very well done. On the dry down, a sweet (but never cloying) meringue puff envelops you.

It's a beautiful fragrance, but sadly the sillage is not great - I have to put my arm right up to my nose to be able to smell it. Definitely not a powerhouse fragrance like the original Angel. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I do wish it packed more of a punch. This one can safely be sprayed several times without overpowering or offending others around you.

Von Freckle - I have all three of the fragrances you listed below, and while they are of the same ilk, I don't find any of them remotely the same. As a self-confessed fragrance junkie, I must have them all! :)

Von Freckle

A pretty gourmand that to my nose could easily be a member of the La Vie et Belle, Flowerbomb, Tresor La Nuit sisterhood. I'm sure someone far more familiar with each of aforementioned fragrances could better tell the difference between them. But to me they all have the same vibe. I feel that if you already have one of them you probably need not bother with this, and vice versa.

nickhi1984

fyre92 - this is a limited edition. Unfortunately you'll have to buy FB's as 'backups'

fyre92

why isn't there a refill for this or atleast a bigger size?

ellebunny

As a gourmand oriental lover, I've been on the hunt for a lighter fragrance I can still wear in the spring/summertime that is still interesting enough for me. Being a lover of Angel and the more recent Angel Muse, I thought that this would be a good pic for a summer frag.

In the initial spray, you get ozonic, airy blast of red berries and lemon sorbet with a halo of camphor, which has the same interesting menthol-like burn to the nose like Angel. In the top you can detect some hints of Angel's patchouli, but the fragrance takes a somewhat strange turn on my skin after the lemon sorbet subsides. I actually don't get a whipped cream note at all from this... this is more fluffy meringue, versus milky cream. The red berries are ever-present from top to bottom. In the heart of the perfume, it takes a very strange turn on my skin... suddenly, I get hit by bitter patchouli with strong medicinal fumes with vanilla and meringue in the background. I feel like at this stage, it can deter and turn off most people, but perfumistas may appreciate it.. as for me, it was very strange. Luckily, eventually what's left in the base is a very, very creamy, rich, warm and full-bodied vanilla with musk... the same heavenly vanilla you get from L de Lolita Lempicka, which is now hard to find. It is simply delicious. There is also a hint of red berries in the base notes, which is pretty impressive, alongside a dollop of delicious meringue.

Most people don't seem to get that medicinal patchouli note based on reviews, so it is probably just my body chemistry. :( If you hated Angel in all its monstrosity but liked the notes in theory, you most definitely would like Angel Eau Sucree. I would say this is more like Angel's cousin, instead of sister. There's a bit of Angel DNA in there, but it's only a whisper. Very pleasant scent overall and a good crowd pleaser, but it definitely has its own personality. A must-try if you like fruitchouli gourmands.

MissGirly87

Amazing. Sour/sweet, red berry sorbet patchouli. Gorgeous. Yet another example of how Thierry Mugler can use patchouli like no other perfumer - truly amazing. Angel flankers truly continue the legend of the original like no other line.

Angel Eau Sucree is the rare oriental that is excellent in summer heat - it's because this is more sour than sweet, but in a delicious way. The scent is a sour gourmand rather than a rich or cozy one, so I doubt it would perform as well in winter. The patchouli really spikes things up and refreshes. After a couple hours, the drydown of caramel/vanilla is a nice little skin scent. This definitely doesn't last more than 3 or 4 hours, so longevity is a joke, but I love it because the opening of the red berry sorbet patchouli is my favorite part, so I gladly re-spritz throughout the day.

Summer is short, but I've heard Angel Eau Sucree is a limited edition and I think I may buy a back-up bottle!!

Mybeautyfrog

Despite my not early stage in life, I am new to fragrance world. I used to use/spray parfumes all my life, finishing the only bottle I had and rebuying the same or something new I had the chance to try with samples and liked. Angel was always something too much for me. Never was able to like it nor understand it. So after the last pregnancy and breastfeeding period, I started to look at this world from a different point of view, trying to understand what the connection between fragrances I liked or disliked might be. And I was trapped by this magic world.
Have tried Angel eau sucree because of the beautiful star bottle displayed among new entries. It was love at first sight. Sweet, yet fresh. Round, yet tart.
Smelling my wrist I ve read the review and bought it.
I trully like it, in a warm but dry and windy weather, sitting next to an open window in my office, I was able to smell it in the air. Was closing my eyes and enjoing the thought it was actually me smelling that way! But the downside is that it does not last a long time. Now, only a few hours after the application, I have to rub my wrist in my nape to get a bit of its memory left in the hair. That makes me sad.

mschnabel666

I am obsessed with gourmands. If it smells good enough to eat/drink, it's perfect for me. The only Mugler I like is Alien Essence Absolue. And I hated Angel EDP and EDT. The notes sound so delicious but the patchouli is just way too strong. Angel smells like sweaty armpits on me. But it smells amazing on my co-worker!

I love Angel Sucree, I just blind bought the 2015 version because of a good price, and the notes/reviews.

The opening is crazy freaky... minty and oily and plastic... but that goes away. Then it smells just like Tresor La Nuit to me. Then I get patchouli and cookies... which reminds me of Flowerbomb EDP, and then the drydown smells just like the way Angel smells on my coworker.

I love it!

But-- I can't really smell it on me, and I applied about 8 sprays this morning... over the course of 1-2 hours. It's def not a Mugler powerhouse, even as an EDT- Mugler knows how to clear a room.
But it's like Flowerbomb EDP.... not as potent to ME as other people claim, however I do catch whiffs of it throughout the day. Soft sweet airy whiffs of delicious awesome. So I still think this blind buy was a WIN. Sometimes a quality frag means it becomes one with your body/skin and you radiate the scent rather than wear it. It becomes a lovely aura around you, rather than just sit on skin/clothes. I think that is the case here.

The next best price on ebay were the 2014 versions, so I snagged that too. Some people say the 2014 is stronger? Even if it's the same exact scent, I will be so happy to have a backup anyways.

It's weird that I get such lovely whiffs, but if I huff my shirt (where I sprayed) my shirt smells like mildew-y damp clothing, and that is not the case. This shirt is totally clean, haha.

Unlike others, I really don't get overpowering berry. I can detect the lemon-cream-caramel pie, but overall it's just a very airy sweet foodie cuddly scent. I agree the patch just "grounds" the scent rather than overpowers. Which is probably why I love it. I've gotten used to patch in almost everything- and I quite enjoy it in Black Opium, I Heart New York for Her by Bond, Tresor La Nuit, etc.... except that damn original Angel. ;)
I also find that Chopard Wish is very much like Angel on me, and does not work. :(

fyre92

like angel with less emphasis on the patch even though its still in there. This turns into a cotton candy cloud.

Kon-nos91

Oh Thierry Mugler, a mysterious and edgy signature will always be under your creations.

Angel, a massive classic that my nose used to recognize in my 'teen' years, without even know what it is. Well now I know. What I have to admit is that Thierry's Mugler perfumes have a great sillage and lasting power. They hit the senses BUT, only daring characters could rock them.

You can't compare them, something that I find unique. You can't find similarities between Angel-Innocent-Womanity (which I find a masterpiece) but it's just not my cup of tea. Let's see Angel Eau Sucree that for a reason got my attention and immediately tried it due to it's supposed to be gourmandise type. (Just like the original Angel)

Well, I am sure Lancome got inspired from Angel in general to make LVEB. It's heavy, it starts not actually dirty, not exactly synthetic but 'petrol-y' like with the good meaning. It doesn't make you wanna wash it off, but wait to see what will happen. And what's happening? A soft and classic patchouli base that is a bit sensual but mostly fresh combined with a wishper of berries, a leveled up-whisper if I could say of vanillic caramel and a powdery hug of meringue! To me it's more milky than fruity. I can't get the fruity vibe at all. If I had to categorize it, it would be patchouli/fresh spicy/light gourmandise. Just like it...

Azula

Uncannily similar to La Nuit Tresor by Lancôme.

A pleasant, effervescent flanker that doesn't bear many similarities to the original Angel. Crisp, mouthwatering lemon meringue, tart cranberry sorbet and a nauseatingly synthetic praline accord also featured in other popular fragrances such as Jimmy Choo and La Nuit Tresor. Sillage is relatively soft (for Mugler, that is) and longevity is average.

Happyme2009

I just love this. I bought it on the spot in Shoppers Drug Mart as soon as I sniffed it. The bottle is gorgeous, dark blue with "sugar" on it. The liquid inside is clear, better than the blue of the original Angel that turns brown after a while. It smells delicious , sugary and crisp in the same time.... It has nothing from the original except the name and the shape of the bottle... Lasting power is average, silage very soft..... Patchouli haters need not to fear , there isn't almost any at all here... All that it is a simple, soft, elegant gourmand that is powdery yet crisp, elegant but still yummy, simple and somehow addictive .

auroramaria

Germany I tried both 2014 and 2015 and they smell very similar you can't really tell them apart.
I have last year's and will stick to that one since ther's no real difference. even though I see the addition of caramel in the new edition

Thierry Mugler re-released the same divine 2015 version for 2016......yay!!

Angel has always terrified me. Every time I have sprayed it on a test strip I have been absolutely repulsed. It smelled so awful and strange to me, like grass, candy and motor oil. But when I began to get into fragrance and joined Fragrantica, I began seeing the overwhelming love for Angel and felt like I was missing out. But I just couldn't get myself to ever love it.

Until Sucree.

I have been reading the reviews of this fragrance for a while and deciding the notes were definitely something I would love. I finally saw Eau Sucree at Macy's yesterday, and of course the bottle was beautiful. I was pulled to it like a magnet and sprayed it on a paper. Not as shocking as Angel, but still rubbed me the wrong way. I was disappointed that i almost couldn't get myself to skin test it, but I was done being afraid and spritzed a generous amount into my arm.
And it was INSTANT LOVE.

It melted into my skin like sorbet. The sharpness of the initial test was gone, and this scent transformed into something warm, sensual and dreamy. Whipped cream is definitely the main charm of Eau Sucree, along with juicy berries and some strong patchouli. It's sweet, but at the same time earthy and quite unique.
The rest of the day consisted of me caressing my nose with my arm and flying away into fragrance paradise. I can't stop thinking about it. It's so lovely.

As I truly love Angel (both edp and edt) and the edp is my signature scent, I thought I would love this , but actually I almost hate it. I can appreciate the fragrance but it is not for me. I felt the exact same way with Angel Aqua Chic! Both times I assumed I would love them, as I love original Angel so much.

Where Angel Aqua Chic is too much patchouli and lemon, this one is killing me with peppery berries. The two fragrances smell very different, but have a very odd note in common I can't really tell what is, but which is very nausiating and headache inducing. Some sort of peppery patchouli undertone of some sort ..

In this one I can smell the sweet meringue and the cotton candy notes which are lovely, but totally gets strangled in the peppery berries. Such a shame.

I wish loved it as much as I had hoped - same goes with Angel Aqua Chic - but actually I can't stand neither of them.

But ! The bottle is a masterpiece - SO beautiful and pretty and unique. Same goes for the add and packaging <3

I wanted something specific - I went to the store and nearly had a heart attack at my young age when I saw the price tag. So I was on the hunt for something similar (in the similar vein). The Sales Assistant insisted that I try Eau Sucree - which I did. On paper all I could smell was Vicks (yes, the vapo rub). She said I should rather try on my skin, so I thought I'd give it a go, since I do like the original - Vicks again! I kept searching for something similar to what I wanted, when I started getting a whiff of deliciousness. To my surprise it was Angel Eau Secree... Just there and then I turned around and grabbed the second last bottle off the shelf.
I wore this for my 6th wedding anniversary and could not stop sniffing myself! It's such a shame that this is a limited edition - the chances of finding another bottle of this beauty is extremely rare, but I'm glad I got the opportunity to at least get one

loonad

this is a gift from my sister and brother in law who got it from Dubai for me. this is currently not available in Mauritius and i cherish my 50ml bottle.this is super sweet but in a grown up way.it is fun and so yummy. i think this can be worn year long and not limited to summer.

theangryraisins

Smells absolutely delicious and has a great presence. I became very nearly intoxicated when I first smelled it and practically forced my wonderfully scented forearm upon the people who were around me at the time. It has great staying power like a true Angel fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous and looks great on my dresser.

Now Im no spring chicken and I remember wearing Angel when it first came out. I wore it too much in the end and then hated it. I still do. It was a hit bexause it was so very different to rest of the mainstream fragrances available then. I really wear more niche now but this is my guilty pleasure.
Mugler is a master when it comes to sweet fragrance and this is one of the best. It opens fresh, tart from the berries with the sorbet, meringue and vanilla closely following. Patch and vanilla are listed in the notes but they are definitely in the background in this. I only tested this fragrance because someone gave me a sample. My first thoughts were its going to be some girly confection but I was insulting Mr Mugler. It is just so addictive. It never becomes cloying which was one of the problems I had with Angel in the end. Those berries and sorbet keep it fresh, tart and moderately sweet. It has a decent sillage and the longevity is moderate which is very good for an edt. I wear it on warm evenings. I dare you to try it and not find it addictive!

dormir6

I expected something heavenly, angelic, a cleaner and softer Angel. What I got is some harsh berry for a few minutes then NOTHING. My skin absorbs it and lefts some powder of human skin. Like used clothes and unwashed body with the trace of some perfume, a body that needs a good peeling :-( I am soooooo dissapointed. I wouldn't mind if it was something different that I had imagined, but is is nothing at all.
Edit: in very cold weather the Patchulie base gets stronger and more addictive, but sadly I can hardly smell it.

mariaraluca

my very first perfume: Angel! It was my only perfume at that time.
today i have plenty of bottles of perfume, all kinds, but it is still my very best!!!!!!
i think we go through changes while years pass by, we change tastes, perceptions, we associate memories with them and start liking/disliking something.
with angel, will be always a true love between us.

Fragrance13

Nice summer scent. Never bought this one yet because I am still using countless samples that I have.

Pusur

Well, this one is classic. I am going to love Angel forever, whenever, wherever... I did not smell this one I think. I was on a journey with fresh and light scents lastly. But winter is coming so it would be so nice to be surrounded by warm, cosy and delicious scent. Nam nam...

covcandy

i wear this all the time love the smell if my grand kid smell it they always say it smell like nanny . everyone says i always smell great

june7rose

Light, fresh, citrusy, and sugary compared to the original, I got my local Nordstrom's last bottle today. It doesn't last like the original, but then the original is too intense sometimes. I miss the luscious dark chocolate in the original, but I don't miss the massive amounts of patchouli, in fact I barely smell any in this until the drydown and then it's light. Angel is delicious, but inappropriate for a closed room, so I'm hoping this will be class/elevator approved. It basically smells like sugary meringue, whoever complained about that?

Lalaith

Love at first sniff. And I have to mention that I don't like really sweet scents, I usually even don't try scents which contain caramel or sugar! One day I tested it, day after I bought it. And that's another thing I usually don't do - I always think a lot about my future purchases.

Back to the scent now... At the beggining I get nice, juicy red berries, or maybe red berry sorbet. It's fresh and sweet at the same time. Then the sweetnes comes in the place. But it's "fluffy" vanilla sweetnes, it must be a meringue but I didnt recognize it. You surely know some fragrances where the sweetness is thick and heavy - but it's not this one. The sweetnes here is almost airy, fluffy, foamy...like meringues. I don't know any other fragrance like this. (I didn't test 2014 version) And the hint of patchouli keeps it grounded.

This fragrance is like summer day - you're sitting on a ground (patchouli), drinking red berry juice with crushed ice and just looking on the blue sky with a few white clouds (meringue).

I really enjoyed Angel Sucrée in hot summer, it's easygoing, happy frag. I didn't wear almost anything else in first two weaks after I got it. And now - I have problems with wearing it now during the autumn... I'm not sure if it remains just a summer fragrance for me - or if the quick love pass away... I will see. But at least it show me that I should't avoid any type of fragrances, the right one can be everwhere.

twinflames.soulmates

This is one I don't like. I find it far too sweet and overpowering in that sweetness. I can always smell it on someone else; to my nose it's like a sticky cough syrup that just won't die.
Sorry to all the lovers of this one, just my personal opinion.

smokvica

When I'm wrong I'm wrong. It's not so short lasting as I said after the first test. And it's so beautiful, soft and sweet.
My male friend commented that it's a perfume for little girls. Well, I'm always going to be one inside this grown up woman. Back to the wish list it goes!

genny17

Interesting, it is to my nose lighter, fresher than the 2014 version..I had the 2014, and the berries were tart, and the scent was real bold...that new version isn't so much about the berries, it is like same ingredients, put together differently., and. The end, it smells very similar, just to my nose more wearable, more subtle also..the 2014 is more loud , this version not as much..it is amped down..but lovely!!!
This has nothing to do with the original Angel..

smokvica

Not so impressed. I expected more from Thierry Mugler. Doesn't have staying power. It's just a generic short lasting blueberry desert. I still prefer original Angel. Would like to change my opinion, but that's what it is for now.

Tamirah

I'm so excited to be getting this tomorrow. A client is bringing it from Germany for me, she did the same thing last year with the 2014 edition, which I absolutely loved. I just sprayed the last drop of that, and the faint sweetness is still there after two hours... the tart berries still poke through, and the patchouli and vanilla marry to create a sexy white chocolate... I'm trying to imagine it with some caramel and sorbet added... and dying a little! I'm looking so forward to enjoying a sugar honeymoon with what will surely be my new love for a few days! :)

lilymorena

On my left wrist i have angel and on my right wrist i have eau sucree. Both are gorgeus and sweet. They are at list on my skin not so strong as people says. After a few minutes angel begin to change from sweet to a bitter smell. Also a sweat note starts to appear. This sweat note seems really a body odor. It is not too strong but also not really nice. So i bought eau sucree. I walked outside in the rain and I kept getting wiffs of a delicious sweet fragance. I think I made the good choice.

rougetnoir

sweet, sugar, but non offensive at all. I love the original one but this version is perfect for summer time. I can smell something sharp at the beginning that reminds me Chanel 19.
I love this Angel eau sucree, and the bottle is a masterpiece!!

x-x-x-ANGEL-x-x-x

I've been wearing Eau Sucrée 2014 and Eau Sucrée 2015 a little more lately, and even though at first I couldn't tell any difference, I now get a little more of a sweet mint from 2015, where as 2014 is more sweet candy.

enigmaticessence

I'm still trying to decide which sample strip came in the Ulta add: Angel Eau Sucree or Angel Eau Sucree 2015. To add to the confusion, I'm still laughing about walking in for a small sample and accidentally getting Angel itself instead. The Ulta site seems to be listing these notes. Are they still selling both versions of Angel Eau Sucree?

I am delighted a relation of mine can wear Angel so tastefully. All that dirty patchouli and chocolate can be quite a chemistry challenge, and it amazes me to find it really can be delicate on someone. But that someone is not me.

Fortunately, Angel Eau Sucree seems to have the take on patchouli my skin needs. This kind of dirty richness and warmth - slightly sweet like Jimmy Choo Jimmy Choo - leaves me happy for days after one whiff.

After my initial mad search, I still have my eyes open for a sample to give this a really good try. The perfume card scented my handbag for weeks and hasn't let me forget how wonderful this darling is!

Sillage and longevity - apparently quite good, on a sample card!

monbonbon

So, I understand why someone might like this scent... Great longevity, sweet, simple, non-offensive, and dry down is classic angel but with less patulli which makes it more gentle and calm.

Personally, I will not buy this scent as it is too simple for me... Maybe I'm just more into the floral scents these days.

Great if you're into very berry sweet scents. I could see a young girl wearing this, or any age really... Sweet and simple is the theme.

dormir6

On my skin it is almost identical with Lancome La vie est belle. I am a parfume junkie, I want very similar parfumes, because I felt them different, even if they are almost the same. But inthis case I have LVB, and I dont need this.

Hellita

People, if you're into gourmands - get your hands on this! :)

It starts off with sweet, tart red berries (smells most of red currants to my nose) and it's pretty zesty the first few minutes. After that, in comes the meringue and caramel yumminess that puts the whole composition together for me. The patchouli isn't harsh or too earthy (dirty), but it simply grounds it a little bit and keeps it from being sickly. It is fresh enough to be worn during summer and summer nights, but I also think it will do a good job during fall/winter as well. I preferably wear it during nighttime for some reason (sometimes I find it just a little bit too sweet on hot, sunny days - not cloying though!) but it could easily be worn during daytime if you wanted to. Longevity is decent too. I can still smell it on clothing and in my hair the morning after wearing it.

Here the other day a male friend of ours visited. His comment when he arrived was: "Oh man, something in here smells amazing" (and I had just doused myself in Angel Eau Sucree).

I also have to add that I'm not a big fan of the original Angel because it doesn't sit right on my skin, but this version I LUV! <3

ScarlettX

First of all, I haven't tried the original Eau Sucree, so I can't compare them.
I just saw this one in store today and decided to give it a try.
This is quite strong, sweet scent. Juicy and intense. I can't believe that some scent can actually be too sweet for my taste. But this one is.
I prefer the original Angel and the others I haven't tried yet.
I guess I wouldn't buy it, but I think it's still quite good scent.

małgorzata.kupiec

It's weaker and slightly more fruity that the 2014 version. I'm not sure if it's sweeter. Very similar, however I prefer the older one.

Norgirl

I know people say this is the sam juice as the original Angel sucree version , but on my skin they are not the same . this is more about the berrys and sweeter aswell , I loved the patchouli in the first version , The patchouli is almost not here at all in this new 2015 version. Im abit sad about it sins i realy loved the long lasting drydown of the original . this new version is not as strong on my skin and fade faster aswell . This is a bit more like angel sunessecense legere. The original sucree to me has moer incommen with the angel eau de star in the drydown at least , Not alike but mor of the same patchouli vibe.
So to sum it up If you ask me they are different enough to get bouth ;) especialy if you like the perfumes sweet and juicy

djuzz.becuzz

Finally I have my first Angel in my fragrance collection!!
I absolutely have a huge aversion against the original Angel which makes me sick to my stomach... But this one is absolutely delicious!
Last year I tried the 2014 version of which I liked the dry down a lot, but not so much the opening as it still had a pretty strong patchouli going on which reminded me the original. 2015 Version on the other hand smells good already from the start. A scrumptious, sweet and creamy scent surrounds me from beginning to end. It's strong but not overpowering and it lasts well.
Extra kudos for the beautiful blue bottle, it's gorgeous!
❤❤❤❤❤

Bublegum

I actually tried the old version in the airport but the box had the new one. But I didn't notice that much of a difference. I believe that if you have the old one, you don't need the new one. Anyway, if someone doesn't like Angel that much (the original) they can give this a try. It is basically a berry gourmand nice scent with a hint of patchouli. Nothing that reminds of the original Angel or the Aqua chic versions. The berry is the most prominent note along with sorbet and as I already said a hint of patchouli, but not that much. I like this perfume but it is not a love as Angel. I don't even find it that original, so I don't see the whole raving about it, but still is better than a lot of perfumes I hold. A nice summer day fragrance. His lasting power for me it is 6 hours and the sillage is moderate. I can still smell it a little after 12 hours, but I need to smell very close to the point I sprayed it.

Sevparfumaddict

I don't like the original Angel but this one is really a different Angel. Gourmand, sugar but not enormous. Can be wore at the office too. Perfect for rainy days because it cheers me up !

hellok

This is a really nice, super sweet variation of Angel that doesn't smell like the original Angel. I think TM fragrance flankers have an odd habit of smelling almost exactly like the original from which they are based. Thankfully this version of Angel smells nothing like the original. It's fluffy, sweet, and delicious. Long-lasting and just as powerful as original Angel. A super gourmand sure to please everyone who's into delicious-smelling perfumes.

TrailerTrashPrincess

i've got the 2014 version on one arm and the 2015 version on the other. while not identical, they're close enough.

one's a little creamier and the other's more berry.

but both are too raspberry-bitter for me. all berries, all the time. no thanks, i'll stick with regular Angel!

tru4reele

I am wearing this right now and I keep getting sweet wifts of it. I have had it on now for 10 hours and its still going strong. I don't normally buy sugar scents but this is different for some reason. I smell no fruit. It's a big fluffy gfown up cloud of cotton candy, sugar, vanilla and something else special. Looove it!!!!!!

Alyssa79

I seriously cannot stop smelling myself when I wear this and am in my own happy perfume cloud.

I am an Angel and Angel Fragrance of Leather lover but this is like neither. It's not loud and in your face like the other 2 (which I appreciate about them) but rather soft yet it still leaves its mark.

I smell no patchouli and wouldn't even think it's an Angel flanker but on my skin I get icy berries with a hint of creamy lemon in the opening, a mouth watering caramel in the heart and a delicious vanilla in the dry down.

Thierry Mugler, you got me hook, line and sinker. Please continue doing what you do because you do it oh so well.

AmoreProfumi

Deff an eye roller && by that I mean when I smell it my eyes roll to the back of my head, it's just pure sweet gourmand sex && I love it! If a scent can make my eyes roll back it deserves a place in my collection. I've been in search for a new scent && I thought this would be to heavy for now (being summer here & an angel flanker) but no thankfully you really just pick up more of the sweeter tones && less patchouli. Anyone who's a lover of gourmands && likes angel but is off putted a bit by the in your face patchouli will deff. respect & enjoy this more. I also found that over half of my fragrances in my collection fall under this group (Oriental Vanilla) so this will pair well with a lot of my scents, but it works just a fine on it's own, it's a must buy I can't stop sniffing my wrist, welcome to the family 'Eau Sucree'! <3 :D

Feli15

Usually I'm not into gourmand scents (love the old Angel though, EDP and EDT)so I was curious about this one. Yes, it's different from the original. Smoother, sweeter, gentler, not a patchouli monster. It is preety, polite, young and cheerful. It won't offend anyone but still has character.
Very good longevitiy (I can smell it the next day on my clothes)and I think it would be a good companion in colder months too.
I change my perfume almost every day but I cannot stop wearing this baby since I got it;))For some reason, It just makes me rediculously happy!!!))))

DAL123

This is very sweet, very sugary, and very delicious. Sugared berries are the first note I get followed by a super sweet vanilla/caramel. It is gourmand heaven. However, the scent is exactly the same, at least on me, as was the 2014 release. Not necessarily a negative, but I was hoping for more than just a new bottle as I do not collect the bottles. I hadn't finished up my 2014 edition yet and I initially thought this had a different scent. Must have been the other perfumes I had been spraying around me. Anyway, unless you collect the new edition bottles, if you already have the 2014 edition, you might not want to drop the $$ on this one. If you don't have it, this is a good Angel to own.

arenee92

Sexy, seductive, tart raspberries, cotton candy. Beautiful, playful...absolutely sexy. I would love to own this if I didn't have so many sweet scents already. I cannot stop sniffing my test strip!

x-x-x-ANGEL-x-x-x

Yes this smells almost exactly like the 2014 edition, but when that edition smelt so good why complain about a re-edition.

The 2014 edition had more of a frosted berry scent to it, where as 2015 has more of a fresher berry scent. Other than that the same, the bottle has a little more of a grown up look with the almost sapphire blue glass, rather than the powder blue of the 2014 edition.

AtheSperfume

I smelled the 2014 everytime i went into the store but they never had it in stock but when 2015 got released i had to get it right away this is definitely sweeter and a lil warmer the Carmel is more out there with this one i feel like the berries are a lil sweeter too its quite similar to the previous year but different enough that i still need to get the 2014

joyous81

I have the 2014 version of Angel Sucree and I wasn't going to get this year's flanker because I figured they smelled the same. But when I walked into Macy's and saw the tester Angel Sucree 2015 I had to try it and smells so much sweeter than the 2014 version. I walked around the store for a half hour and sampled other fragrances, but I could not stop sniffing my wrist where I sprayed Angel Sucree 2015 so much so that I bought a bottle before I left the store. To me the 2015 version smells better, probably because I love sweet fragrances and it difinitely has more of a caramel note than its predecessor. If you have the 2014 version and you are thinking about purchasing the 2015 version you will not be dissappointed.

SzekelyEmoke

Ahh another flanker. I hate flankers.
Why not creating a whole new perfume instead of wasting energy making just another flanker? I think someone who dislikes the original perfume (in general), would not want to try out a flanker anymore. But a whole new perfume would generate curiousity and bring even more customers inmho.

aderesse

Is this the only spring/summer 2015 release for women? The men have A*Men Ultra Zest... (=*x*=)

StopHammertime

Ordered this on the website probably the day it came out. Wanted a backup of Angel Eau Sucree, I also have the 2014 bottle, which is frosted. This one is slightly different from that one - the berries are a little different. It is very, very slight, but I don't think sorbet was a note in the other one and it is in this one, and I smell the difference. Mostly just in the opening though. Will have to test side by side later and update! I LOVE this bottle compared to the other one, too. I could never get into the weird matte blue star. This one is just gorgeous.
EDIT: Wanted to add that the drydown is exactly the same as 2014. It is only the opening few minutes that have a very small change. I would not mind if they continued re-releasing this frag as a limited edition in a new bottle every year! :hint hint: ;)

x-x-x-ANGEL-x-x-x

Can't wait for this release, just hope the bottle will be a refillable bottle.

marcello19

I agree, Thierry Mugler should launch something new, their last new launch was Womanity. They should do another unique and innovative fragrance, instead of making new flankers every 6 months.
