Givenchy Live Irresistible smells really Fruity and sweet. The pineapple and Praline is more prominent to my nose. It's Fruity, Sweet and Syrupy. On the dry down it smells a lot similar to Lancome La vie est belle, maybe because of the praline. It's like a more fruity and a bit spicy sister of La vie est belle. My sister says this smells like pineapple cream cookies and my husband says this smells like caramelised pineapple jam. After few hours there's a little hint of rose but the pineapple, praline and passion fruit is more noticeable than other notes. It's like a sweet fruit dessert.
It's a girly scent. But sadly it doesn't work well with everyone's body chemistry. On my skin I get 10/10 performance out of it. But it will be better if you can try a tester before buying the full bottle.
It's perfect for day outs. It's not for official or formal occasions. Wear this when you're going for a movie, picnic or long drives. You can also wear this for dates. It's perfect for winter. Also it's perfect for vacations. It's better to avoid it on extremely hot summer days as it may give you a headache. It's more suitable for late summer and Spring and specially for evening and nights in my opinion.
It's not for those who love fresh floral perfumes. And also those who hate sweet scents stay away from this perfume. It's really sweet, sugary and syrupy.
You only need to spray 5-6 sprays of this perfume on your neck, wrist, and clothes and it will last you all day. If you don't want to draw too much attention apply only 2-3 sprays around your neck or wrist and on your clothes, that will be enough.
If you love perfumes like ‘Lancome La Vie Est Belle’ you can give ‘Givenchy Live Irresistible EDP’ a try. And if you love Sweet Fruity and Syrupy perfumes you'll enjoy this perfume a lot.

vanillaboozygrl

The pepper & rose are dominant on clothes which made me dislike the scent. It felt masculine, like incense. Sprayed on skin though, I only smell the fruits & rose, reminiscent of fizzy summer drink. After an hour there is musk & a bit of vanilla, like clean clothes. I love it now, after being uncertain the first few months.

Long lasting! Great for any season especially warmer.

natasha28

Givenchy Live Irrestirable- not really into it. There's a nice slight pepper note. It's not a terrible scent, I just don't really find that any of the notes pop. I can understand why people like it, but it's very meh to me. I don't know if maybe my sample is old, but I don't smell any of the tropical notes. Sits close to the skin. I wouldn't keep it if gifted. At 8 hours later and it's still decently strong (close to the skin though). Smelled on my smell the next day but VERY faint.

Lara_540

This has to be my favorite scent from Givenchy. I’ve brought like 3 bottles from this perfume. Every time it ends, I find myself doing to the store to buy it again. It’s that good! It smells like candy land, it smells like Katy Perry’s California Girls music video. It gives confident girl energy, sweet but badass. If you like this scent, you know your shi in perfumes. Absolutely gorgeous.

Ethereal Love

I ordered a sample of this since I was so in love with the Delicieuse flanker, but this is not as sweet as I expected. On the first spray, I mostly get the rose and a blast of pepper. The pineapple comes through in the dry down after about 10 minutes. I don't understand the LVEB comparisons. I honestly don't even smell praline.

This is a fragrance that I'm glad I didn't blind buy. I don't like the pepper note that stays prominent on my skin in the dry down. The spice makes this borderline masculine. The only thing keeping it from crossing that territory is the pineapple. Not a safe blind buy if you're expecting something sweet and gourmand.

Edit: This becomes much sweeter after 2-3 hours on the skin. There is definitely a sweet gourmand base here, but you'll have to suffer through the opening and initial dry down to get there. I can't seem to find the true notes anywhere online but the gourmand base may very well be praline. I'm still not really getting LVEB from this though.

Perpetual Collector

Got it yesterday, and I am not in love with it, as much as I love Givenchy. Seems to me like LI was a predecessor to a current version of L'Interdit, especially the EDP version. However, L'Interdit, as heavy as it is, is quite more wearable to me than this. This seems to lack identity and wants to be ten different things at the same time. Or do I need to spend more time with it? Who knows. For right now, it's barely a like.

Creamy_ambrette

I love this! It’s what I thought Rose Extase would be like- a “jammy” rose! Rose Extase is anything but jammy to my nose- it’s a bright, tart then powdery rose. I love the combination of rose, orris root, praline and fruits! Live Irresistible is so unique! It’s definitely one you don’t want to over spray! It has amazing sillage and longevity! I need to get my nose on the flankers- especially deliceiuse!

Emera1d

I just ordered 2 back up bottles of this and Delicieuse, as I have a feeling that it will be discontinued (if not already, not on the official site). To anyone who doesn't like it-feel free to send me your unloved bottles, as I could bathe in this. It is like all the best memories of my childhood summers bottled. It is one of the very few perfumes that can make me genuinely happy just by smelling it. It is perfect on what feels like one of the first spring days today.

Elfin Will

What's this mishmash? I don't understand this perfume. A mixture of fruits, flowers, spices and sweets. The opening of the perfume is very pleasant, a real rainbow (like the colors of the main notes above), but a few minutes later it becomes unbearable.

gourmandgyaani

I've had this for YEARS and I've loved it always
this was the first truly sweet delicious juicy fragrance I ever loved.
lasts a while too and is genuinely for all seasons and all occasions , I can see this fitting in everywhere
I've liked this since the day I had it even though my taste is fragrances changes a lot over the years and overtime.
the pepper, the fruit and the sweet sweet praline type base this is HEAVENLY yummy yum yum sexy also, very sexy perfume
I can see a certain kind of man going mental over smelling this lmao

Akou

I'm not a "gourmand" type of person, I don't like vanilla, chocolate, or too fruity notes in perfumes but this one I love it! Perfect balance and not sickening like some.

islaforresterx

Beautiful fragrance for spring, very sweet but not too sickly or synthetic smelling. Projects really well and the notes are a great combination, never smelt anything like it before really

ladianandas

smells like a nice hotel or restaurant bathroom to me

marusia102

nice perfume, easy to wear any seasons

Nocciola23

This surprised me as I thought it would be sweeter. It's actually a really beautiful perfume that's very easy to wear.
The rose is very prominent for me, the pineapple making it juicy but not overpowering it.
I'm wearing it in winter and the longevity and sillage are low. I might save it for warmer weather so I can get more use out of it.

Tinabill

Fruity spicy amber.
Live Irresistible starts with a vibrant tropical fruity blast. I couldn’t guess the fruits though. In less than 30 minutes the opening gave way to a soft rose, which in turn moved to the background pretty quickly. For the majority of its life, LI is a spicy amber on my skin. However, I get more cinnamon or clove than black pepper. The amber is resinous and warm, cozy and sweet. Strangely I don’t get praline nor patchouli (maybe some woods tho) so I find the comparison to LVEB or Si baffling to be honest.
The dry down is lovely but nothing groundbreaking.

fragaholic79

A spicy fruity gourmand sounded interesting. I was hoping to catch a sniff of the pineapple note but sadly on me it opens with rose and the dry down is amber and patchouli. Pleasant enough but not what I was expecting from the notes.
On me it’s creamy sweet and powdery with hints of rose from start to finish.
A nice winter fragrance, it’s a sillage monster with great longevity. Lasts for hours and on skin for days.

martagonlily1

I bought a set of miniature collection from Macy's a few years ago and this one is in that set along with Pure Musc for Her by Narciso Rodriguez. I love them both. Gourmand, sweet and is a beast, longevity wise. This perfume has the right amount of rose note which I like.

natasha28

Review is for my own reference - At first, it smells like that banana flavored medicine you get from the doctor as a kid. Does not smell like LVEB by Lancome. Too fruity for me, I think I would get sick of it really fast. Not a gross scent, just not for me...even though I do love Fruity-Floral-Gourmands. It's fruity sweet with some spice, earthy tropical. The silage is more than an arm's length. I might like this better in cooler months? The sweetness is a bit headache-inducing.

EDIT: I bet this would smell amazing on a cold winter night outside! The dry-down is better, it smells a bit woodsy, not as screaming with the sweetness. I'd probably prefer this over the EDT version bc I think it would last longer and be the better value. I think it's way TOO strong for summer, go easy with the number of sprays. It's similar to La Nuit Tresor in the sense that it smells kind of grossly sweet when first sprayed, but dries down to something yummy. Strong and not for everyone, but a nice fragrance. The EDT version does not have the woody dry-down
.
Edit: a few hours later and the woody smell is more unisex/masculine, its nice but all the sweetness is gone. Changed the rating to okay bc the EDT version is much more feminie and more wearable.

Hmm, hmm Ok. I get hair salon: it pretty much smells like my L'Anza spray-on stay-on hair moisture upon first whiffs.

Not bad, but not the depth and complexity one might expect from a Mr. Ropion fragrance (Aimez-Moi! Dune! <3 <3) as opposed to a higher-end hair product.
As such: I am sorry, Givenchy, not too irresistible, at least when freshly applied. But!

On a good note, however, it does grow more complex with time as LI dries down into a more mature, earthy, and rather dirty rose and iris, which I do find pleasurable.

I would call it a fitting scent for a discerning late teenager growing into young adulthood.

SailorCupcake

I have Delicieuse, the EDT, and now the EDP. Hands down, Deliciuese is the best.

I don't get much pineapple from this. The opening is fruity and sweet.... then becomes a smoky sweet scent (not so much spicy for me). The base is a very sweet, mature scent.

I imagine wearing this to business meetings, formal dinners, and weddings. I don't see this as a go to or signature, despite really hoping for a more sophisticated yet still juicy fragrance.

tatyana_77

My skin smells like burnt strawberry jam. It would be a great scent for my 15 year old daughter, but not for me.

primaia

I got it as a gift and honestly it was a great surprise. It’s funny because I wear for casual routine and it’s the most complimented perfume I have, basically everyone loves this one. I had no idea it would be such a good fragrance. I first feel more the sweet pineapple and then a delicious sweet floral. It’s not a invasive scent, it’s more delicate, but still powerful. It sticks to the skin and clothes and leaves a delicious feminine smell where you pass by. Once I was playing with a friend’s dog and my perfume kinda sticked to the dog’s fur and my friend was like “omg where is this great smell coming from?!” I think it’s underrated tho (good for us who wear this one, it doesn’t get a common scent)

Natalia91

Incredible scent! When I first tried this I rolled my eyes. It smells like spring and nature coming to life again. I can also imagine walking through a flower garden. Not too sweet, not to fruity but in between. Definitely nothing like LVEB as for me it is not that sweet and the praline vibe isn't that strong.
The only downside is the longevity. On my skin it lasted around 6 hours, however, I liked it a lot and I can always top it up during the day.
I will purchase this for the spring for sure.

Perfume Studio22

This one is nowhere close to LVEB or YSL BO...infact it smells like my husband has just returned frm a hair salon....leans more towards a masculine scent....i dont get d sweet praline note at all....its a meh for me👎

EDIT = it would be unfair had i not edited my earlier comment up here ......this one got me....i just wore this one tday and lo and behold !!!!......its gorgeous ...its warm and cool at d same time....i believe it plays acc to d weather ....its a bit warm here now and this one has grown on me tremendously....

delightme5

Look, if your after a sweet juicy and some deliciously illusionary fruity concoction in this price tier of fragrances - forget the rest and choose 1 of the best. Simple as that. LI delivers and should fulfil all your juvenile and sometimes sophisticated impulses - it really covers all bases, with that dry underlying chypre sometimes apparent.
I dont understand all the LVEBELLE similarities/reminds me of.? Not at all .. So different.
LVEB is predominantly a vanilla celebration ; sweet a little airy with a little tang of tame fruit , theres the praline of course - receded - not like LI.
Live Irresistible is a full force explosion of fruits predominantly and pralines - sweet and very realistic to my nose always capturing my attention. It seems to dry to a powdery juicy fruit chypre, with lots of yum you want to smell not necessarily eat.
No favoritism - pick which suits for when. To me LI seems to have a little more durability.

star~kitty

First spray is VERY strong spice. If it’s pepper, that makes sense. It’s irritating to my nostrils; I think there’s something sweet and fruity behind the pepper punch, but I can’t smell it long enough to identify it.

I’d say after about half an hour it finally mellows out and I get a sweet fruity vanilla, almost cake-like, with the pepper still hiding in the background. Definitely sample this first.

Luminan

Smells like a hair salon. You know that whiff you get when you step in a hair salon. That's what it smells like.

gmr1967

I recognize the mood of DUNE by Dior .... The master perfumer is the same. Class, refinement, a very charming and pleasant mix. The fruity opening immediately leaves space for a warm and powdery background. It is not an intrusive fragrance, it does not leave the trail but the allure it gives is remarkable. Excellent fragrance.

pacsalia

Girls, don´t buy this , buy the EDT version! That is MUCH better than the EDP.
The Live Irresistible EDT is fruity, (contains a lot of raspberries+red fruits) balsamic, a little bit spicy, playfully sweet and lasts very very INCREDIBLY long!
The EDP is just harsh pineapple and goes in 2-3 hours away. I don´t like it. But the EDT is my new love <3 <3 give that a try!

FragranEssence

Once again, the notes are totally incorrect! Givenchy only mentions rose, amber, pineapple, and exotic spices. Funny thing is that there is absolutely NO praline in this concoction, and yet, everybody is smelling it. What a joke! Sadly, you can't believe anything you read ... ever!

Jacquis

Live Irresistible EDP is a bright, happy, cheerful, sweet perfume. I am wearing this on an 85F day and was concerned that it might be too sweet but, no. While LI is undeniably sweet, it remains bright and happy. Not cloying, nor oppressive. This perfume has great longevity and dries down to a pleasant, comforting, skin scent. LI will be worn all year long when I want a cavity sweet, uplifting fragrance.

delicatefabric

This is much less gourmand than I expected when looking at the notes. The peppery aspect of this fragrance rather overshadows the sweetness and deliciousness and gives it a masculine kick. It is advisable to get a sample first.

bianca_11106

This is a nice fragrance but I'm not in love with it.
The opening is  spicy and sweet, I can really smell the black pepper in it which is kind of screechy and it's mixed with something syrupy, I guess that's the pineapple. It is not a  juicy/ fruity/ fresh pineapple, but rather thick and sweet, and it's a bit cloying.
After a while it transforms into a waxy, powdery, a bit dirty/earthy rose and it kind of stays this way.
It is super long lasting with great projection and the bottle is beautiful (if you are into packaging), but for me this fragrance is just a like.
It doesn't resemble the original -Very Irresistible- which I love dearly, a very feminine delicate rose, a bit green like a garden after the rain, and the spice in that one is done so much better!

turkishgirl

smell very spicy a little bit masculine to my nose. longevity is good definitely a winter scent for me

Labaloo

I'm in agreement with blake.lee (below, 8May16) about the cinnamon note. It gives this fruity, summer fragrance an interesting, intriguing character, and should definitely be listed in the note-pyramid. Also, like the reviewer just below me, I detect notes of frankincense and iso e super... giving 'Live Irresistible' an expectedly mysterious, slightly "woody incense" vibe... reminds me of a certain summer day, so many years ago... where I was walking along the boardwalk of Venice Beach in CA. I was drinking a bottle of a fruity Snapple and people-watching, and stopped to buy some incense from a hippie-dude at a table. Lovely day.

NessS

Fruity floral to start off with but then goes kind of smokey/incensey for me (I know these aren't listed but I swear I can smell it!). Not my cup of tea.

vlarya

It starts off as a sweet, spicy vanilla cookie, because next to the sweet notes there is pepper. Then after 3 hours, it's just a really strong, bothersome pepper without any trace of sweetness left. I would have bought it if the scent didn't change so dramatically after such a short period of time.

meg0825

I really enjoy this fragrance. This is similar to La Vie Est Belle, but much more wearable for me. Sweet and fruity chocolate roses with a bit of pepper and patchouli. Very nice!

crea11

To me this is simply incense and pineapple turnover cake...really comes to life in cold weather

PricklyAndHot

I wanted juicy pineapple. But in fact it's fruity not pleasant mess( I don't like this brand in general. Many fragrances by it smell chemical to me.

Rinio

So good. I am thinking of buying it. Kind of weird how I always overlooked this when on my frequent perfume hunts in the stores. I was "forced" to use this tester, my only perfume source, when vacationing in a remote area and waiting for my luggage to arrive. Loved it. Would have never given it a chance otherwise. Sparkly and vibrant. It was my perfume fate...ha!

Blushpinkpeonies

I don't know if I got a bad bottle or not (ordered online from Macy's), but my bottle smells terrible. It's like a watered down, stale/dusty version of La Vie est Belle, but with pepper. The pepper note dominates on my skin. Also, not much sillage either. I was expecting a bright burst of juicy pineapple. Very disappointing. I usually love Givenchy fragrances!

dahrling

Beautiful. So very sweet and "pink" - joyful and lively. A feminine scent fit for a fairy or a princess that makes me think of puppy love. I can only smell rose, pineapple, and vanilla (I get no pepper whatsoever on my skin like others are reporting they do). This is sweet in just the right amount, the sillage and longevity are great. Love it.

lisa99

Fell in love at first smell with this scent. The smell of pepper and pineapple captivated me and urged me to buy a full bottle. However after sitting on the skin for a while the fruity hint decreases leaving this sweet scent.

Emera1d

Got a 50ml bottle when it first came out(summertime I believe) and it didn't last long at all as I loved it so much. It is definitely very sweet, it was like a fancy pina colada on me, even a little bit like some Escada summer editions but some how a bit more sophisticated. I got tons of compliments from women around me, but I don't think it made much of an impression to any men. Would love to get another bottle but there are 3 versions of this now, all really appealing to me and... too many perfumes and too little cash. lol

Zuuus.p

Gross...! I hate when they mix fruit with pralines it smells very cloying to me and makes me sneeze like crazy. Almost smells like if there were old pralines left on the desk after 5 years of getting super dusty and moldy...

izermeno21

Wait too sweet and spicy! Yuck smells like I sprayed pepper & pineapple on myself! Not good for me!

LittleFeather

Spicy amber is what I pick up the most. Very much like clove. I get the rose note but it's surpassed by the spicy sweetness. Reminds me of Hugo Boss, Boss Intense. However, this has more strength.

Nosmo King

This is a sparkling, juicey, fruity floral. The opening has a hint of pineapple, but the tangerine is more prominent to my nose. This lasts about an hour. Then the drydown is a soft rose, which I really enjoy even as someone who does not usually like rose as a note. This lasts a few hours on my skin, but over a day on clothing. The sillage is moderate.

On paper this has a spicey/oriental vibe, but I don't appreciate this on my skin. Because of this sometimes perceptible spice, I would say it could be worn in any season, but I would wear in the warmer months. I agree with Sailor V... It reminds me of a casual summer evening celebration.

This is a bright, joyful scent and although it has a youthful feel, I think it can be worn at any age.

Suitable for day/office or casual evening.

Rating 9/10

Smelling Live Irresistible makes me think of summer holidays, parties and just having a good time without a care.

The pineapple is strong in the beginning, and I think the combination with praline, patchouli, amber and pepper is quite unusual. This is not a fruit cocktail or too sour. It's sweet and spicy, warm, intense and delicious. A bit pastry-like. I also smell some other spices besides the black pepper, I found allspice as a note on another website and that makes sense to me.
Rose is not a prominent note in this in my opinion, but maybe its slight, berry-ish floralcy takes the scent from foody to perfumey, without taking the center stage.
The final drydown is a sweet, ambery patchouli-gourmand on me.
Be warned if you don't like sweet scents. This is really super sweet.

I don't really get why some say Live Irresistible is similar to LVEB, but I guess every sweet perfume smells like LVEB to at least one person. To me, this doesn't. And it smells even less like Armani Si, really, these aren't comparable at all.

shahrzad7

smells like cherry and plastic to me! not my taste...

Mirella86

I often wonder why my skin and Givenchy fruity fragrances can't be mixed - this one, like all from the Irresistible range, tends to become sour, alcoholic and strong on my skin. I can wear the Dahlia Divin range without issues, so I don't know what they put in the fruity ones, but it doesn't mix well with my skin Ph. However, on the paper tester, it smells amazing, fruity and flirty, with just a hint of rose and amber, enough to give it some depth. A fragrance aimed at a younger market, I think, but without being overly sweet, so a 30 something lady could easily wear it with pride. As usual, you should test a fragrance directly on your skin, to see how it behaves.

Grodanmimmi

Got this from my mom when she was on holiday in Teneriffa, such a sweet sexy juicy perfume! I get the pineapple and rose, and the yummy base of praline and vanilla, and the longevity is insane, easily 24h+ on my skin!

miafran92

I swear the first things I smell are cherry and almond shortbread!

Smells like alcohol with cherries. Just now I smelled vodka to compare and they are quite similar. That's probably praline, but overall my first association was that this perfume smells like alcohol. Not sure if I want to smell like I use alcohol in everyday, but for some party who knows. It is somewhat aggressive, sharp, strong, refreshing cool and sweet. Reminds me something from childhood, maybe those artificial cherry juice syrups and powder packages. That overall fruitiness is something from childhood. This could be some celebration day in 80s or 90s when parents are drinking stronger beverages, but kids get lot of fun with juices and other chemical sweets, and somewhere in middle smells new rubbery, plastic toys and whipped cream cake. I can sense few pinkish, lovely roses. Maybe in middle of all that is some lady of that time who used some perfume, because I can sense there some moss or even cedar that was popular then. Or maybe it is just my association because those last two are not listed. I can distantly see why someone added to 'reminds me of...' one of Cacharel perfumes.

temple_crystal

It smells not sweet nor fruity like I had hoped. I wore it for an hour and had to get it off. It was a strong scent.I had to scrub my arm with lotion, sugar, washcloth, and soap to get the smell off. I like gourmands, this one was not for me.

tru4reele

I got this for Christmas. It smells so amazing. My babe picked it out and says it smells sexy and yummy.

It’s sweet and lasts all day. It has a Flowerbomb, La Vie Est Belle feel to it but smells like a sexy upside down pineapple cake.

mellymel

I tried this edp in a shop in winter time. Immediately I felt that Christmas was there. This smells so incredibly christmasy!
I can smell ginger bread and cookies and spices but in a nice and cozy way.
I love it and I will wear it to remind me of the holidays season.

Carah

This is an absolute copy of Wish Chopard down to the nauseating dry down. Scrubber for me, smells just like everything else now days, some people like it though

angeldoll

My Christmas babe. Gift from my honey, this is my first fragrance from Givenchy. I have to say I am amazed. Let's start with a bottle. Lovely, I mean beauty is in simplicity. The perfume itself is also beautiful. From the beginning, the scent is purely fruity. Like fresh pineapple and in the background I feel rose. Later in a few minutes, the perfume picks up another direction. Sweet pralines, in a hug of roses, with a little tropical fruit. I would define it as a sweety, fruity, powdery scent. Long lasting on the skin (and more on the clothes) For gourmet lovers :)

CoffeeCup

Well, this one! This one....is all about the base, bout the base, bout the base. ☺

The opening and heart is a bit too sweet, too bubbly, too fruity for me. Superficial if you will. Pineapple and vanilla. No rose, no mandarine. There are some vignettes that you could call interesting or inviting but in all honesty - it's just a bit boring and harsh. Fills the market with yet another sweet synthetic fruitchouli which is almost embarassing to wear in public.

But the base! The base... That's a whole different story - deep, on the drier side, slightly spicy, sssssmooooth.. amber, vanilla, something-something and chocolate. Quite attractive. So... I'll survive through my 50 ml bottle to smell the drydown, but not going to replace. Ever!

missk

Live Irresistible has almost eclipsed the popularity of the original Very Irresistible released in 2003. Givenchy has brought this flanker into the current decade by making it sweeter and fruitier, (more likely to appeal to the younger consumers).

Whilst I never owned a bottle of the original Very Irresistible, I always enjoyed it as a fresh, almost sheer rose scent that was perfect for Spring and Summer wear. Live Irresistible is a fruity floral which incorporates the same freshness found in its predecessor, however it has a sugary undertone and a rich patchouli base, not unlike a Miss Dior EDP drydown.

Pineapple is a difficult note for me sometimes, but I am pleased to say that although the pineapple accord in Live Irresistible is dominant, it does not smell sour or nauseating in any way. The fruitiness keeps this fragrance very upbeat and youthful and the sweetness makes it even more girly and fun.

Amanda Seyfried is the perfect celebrity face to endorse this fragrance with her sweet demeanor and adorable baby face despite her 30 years. Live Irresistible although very pleasant on my skin, feels a little too airy and sugary to suit my personal tastes. I would definitely recommend this fragrance to young women, even teenagers wishing to expand their collection and switch from wearing celebrity or drug-store scents to designer scents. The longevity and sillage is also superb.

ras.kel.5

Average fruity floral, can definitely smell the pineapple and passion fruit. It smells very synthetic and not like fresh fruits. Perfect for spring/summer, but can be worn year-round.

sarahvigne

I immediately thought yuk, this reminds me of a glass of grapefruit juice made from concentrate. Plus sweets. After a while it calms down somewhat to jelly beans. Give it a miss if you have anything but a very sweet tooth.

scentsory_journey

I have a small sample of this. Very tropical, fruity, and vibrant. I definitely smell pineapple and grapefruit in the opening as well as rose. Passionfruit too. It's sweet and syrupy with a heavy sillage. Strong stuff, particularly in the first hour! By the end of the first hour it's settled to reveal some of the praline, perhaps a hint of vanilla and amber, and some pepper. Still very pleasant, and it shows no signs of fading away. A mood lifter for sure. It evokes the feel of a tropical beach on a hot summer's day. Pina-coladas and summer fruits. Very feminine and care-free. I may pick up a small bottle in the near future.

I thought this is what I picked up and loved one day at Ulta so I came home and bought online. Just received and it's not the smell I remember, but I do like it. I was expecting something super fruity, this is more of a candy sweet but there is a bitterness, a similar note as Bonbon, I'll be looking up the notes of each to figure it out. I'm thinking it's either the peach or Amber that's really bold on my skin. I really wanted to smell the pineapple but unfortunately I just can't detect it, or possibly it was so fleeting I missed it.

As far as the smell I remember in the store, I remember the bottle was 'bumpy' compared to the original smooth bottled Irresistible. I'm guessing it's the newer Live Irresistible Delieous. I just remember smelling in the bottle and I got really juicy fruits and a lot of sweetness without a strange bitter note.

I understand everyone's comparison to LVEB. This is more candy sweet, LVEB has a ton of patchouli. I own both and I think they will be nice combined. I've also ordered the EDT so I can't wait to see how different/similar the EDT and EDP compares.

Kaaa

Starts off quite unusual but then there's an after smell of jelly beans which I absolutely love

Smells_Good

Starts sweet, very sweet. Typically sweet scents don't last on me. I also feel too old for these type of scents, as I don't wanna be called the Candy Lady lol. But now while I'm writing about it, I want a bottle for myself lol.

andreas73

I had very distinct experiences, on the 2 trials with my sample.

My first trial, on a warm day, the scent was very intense, with good projection, and it lasted for a very long time, allowing me to perceive very well its evolution. In the beginning, I could sense the fruity notes, although I was not able to clearly identify each one of them, or even to notice if any of the fruits stood out in the composition. It was more like a "tutti frutti" feeling, or even of red berries, even though they are not listed here. I could also sense the roses and, on the backgroud, the amber and orris root. It is a very jovial, cheerful, versatile, pleasant and non-invasive perfume and, due to the almost "endless" longevity (after more than 7 hours of being applied, it was still very perceptive), I have to say that this is a good choice for someone who is into fuity-floral scents. I also sprayed it over my clothes, and the perfume was still very noticeable more than 24 hours later.

When I tested it on a cold day, however, the perfume did not last more than 2 hours on my skin, and the evolution was totally different: the fruit notes of the top disappeared quickly, and the only reamining note was an acrid rose, from the start lto the premature ending. On my clothes, just like in my first trial, the longevity was gigantic, and the scent was the same as on the first time.

I would not recommend this scent for someone who is looking for a fruity-floral with a "plus", because there are countless perfumes very similar to this one. If you don'y mind to reapply over the day, there are many other options for a fraction of the price out there, and they will definitely give you this "generic fruits + roses" combo.

To sum up: this is a good and well done perfume, created to please crowds that are not looking for a very special scent, just a pleasant one. For the price, though, I think Givenchy should have delivered a much more interesting experience.

Love this. There is an explosive fruity tropical burst when I put this on. The intensity dries down quickly to a warmer sweet but still fruity vibe. Gorgeous fragrance. Not sure where the LVEB comparisons come from? That fragrance is sweet, warm and powdery while Live Irresistable is sweet, fruity and sharp (in a good way). Nothing powdery about it.

milk_in

Sweet, fruity and even tropical scent, but not like teenager way. Very feminine, some warm, maybe powdery notes in a base. It's like an adult woman, who had spring in her chest and who is dreaming about an holiday trip to a sunny, tropical destination.
I'm not sure whether it's the right one for me, but surely it's nice floral-fruity fragrance.

rhaineclayton

LVEB and Si - I've smelled them.
Petite Robe Noir and Lanvin Me - I had them.
To me, this is not at all like any of these. Sure, it's sweet and syrupy like the ones mentioned. But it's also, vibrant, fruity and youthful.
It will probably end up in my collection at some point.

craftymaya

Today, I was trying another perfume in a store when I saw Live Irresistible and gave it a try to compare with Live Irresistible Delicieuse that was I found overly nutty. OMG, it is close to it, without the overload of almonds. It's great! It is definitely a gourmand, a sweet, feminine, delicious fragrance. I get a wonderful FRUITY VANILLA CREAMINESS. Came back home and ordered two bottles right away! GORGEOUS! Last for hours and on clothes for days! yum.

saintleegray

Well I do love this, but it's definitely not what I expected.

I'm the kind of person I'm either on one end or the other, when I want smoky or spicy, I'm all in, when I want sweet, I look for diabetic, sugar coma inducing ALL sweet. From the reviews I was expecting some serious fruity punch, candy sweet, messy loveliness. When people say "syrupy" I get excited. :)

I bought this as a blind buy, first spray, heavy fruit...exactly what I expected. Next second, there's a bite. Not a bad one, it doesn't kill it, it technically I think does make it better, more rounded out. That must be the pepper, it's a very obvious note. I do wonder if this is an issue for anybody, I could see it being too sweet for somebody who loves spice, and a touch too much pepper for somebody looking for heavy sugar.

Overall I do love it a lot and can see it being on a regular rotation of use, especially over the summer. But I think the pepper note has been downplayed in other reviews quite a bit, and the rose overplayed (I smell literally no rose)

Sillage is decent, not too overwhelming but definitely not a skin scent at all. Longevity I'm VERY pleased with, this has to be one of the first times a perfume has lasted half a day on me.

Grodanmimmi

Sweet, sexy, gourgeousness! And longevity is enormous, 12+ and i could even smell it after a shower!

I have mixed feelings about Live Irresistible. Initially I didn't like it AT ALL. After five hours it's much better on the skin. So let's break it down:

Initially it is extremely sweet, very juicy, very syrupy. Seems untamed. Like a blast of overload sweetness. No proportion at all. Surprisingly all I could detect was berries and cherries, without seeing the notes, and despite seeing them now, I still insist on "my berries and cherries" opinion.

Softens just a tiny tip into more creamy fruit. Honestly no praline and no vanilla for me now. Nothing, just vague, full on unstoppable juicy-sweetness. A very potent gourmand, winey, that makes my head spin. A rather shy rose appears too.

Then, there is a two hour stage that reminds me intensely of Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss, without the "spilled on the floor plasticky cold wine feel".
And successfully I must admit, I've reached the fifth hour of wear, and it holds strong, despite having softened a lot.

It is now that pineapple is traceable and prominent and the rose stands out impressively. It even has an old-vibe to it,quite haunting, I'm pretty sure I have smelled something similar on women when I was little; maybe the rose it responsible. Oh it's so nice now! So pretty! Such an interesting combination of notes, unlike any other scent I have.

Now, honestly, I don't know if I'm willing to be that patient for a drydown that I really like for five hours. It's a lot. I can be patient for one hour, maximum two, for a non gourmand drydown, but five? I don't know yet.

UPDATE: it's the ninth hour of testing and I'm impressed! First of I love inhaling the pineapple rose combo which has no sweetness but doses of retro and secondly it seems absorbed from the skin, sinking; like the opposite of fleeting. How cool it that?
Oh I need to find a way to wear it ASAP

Caramelkisses

My skin chemistry brings out the worst in this fragrance. Where the top notes are absolutely lovely, the drydown smells like old Spice Cologne on me. So I sold it to a lovely fairy and it smells awesome on him.

Dina_Saeed

I love this perfume. It's fruity sweet spicy perfume, stays on my skin for about 8 hours, it's that kind of perfumes that can elevate my mood, perfect❤❤❤

nebbe

I didn't realize this was so similar to LVEB. I can handle intense leathers or spices or woods, but I cannot do sugary-sweet (most sweet fragrances make me feel ill, unfortunately), and this ended up being a scrubber.

Same for the EdT, I tried EdT on one hand and EdP on another. In my defense, I love Very Irresistible EdT, so did not approach these with caution ;)

Other folks who are also sensitive might want to try on paper before skin, lol.

Madrona

A hint of cigarettes and fruity body spray. I like it.

pauroj

this is a dupe for killian playing with the devil, super sweet fruit punch

is ok but i will pass

ZBear

The sales associate threw in a bunch of samples of Live Irresistible with my last Givenchy purchase.

Opening is very strong pineapple, but not fresh pineapple, more like canned with syrup.

It quickly develops into a La Vie est Belle clone - even my young daughter said, "it smells like Gaga in here!" (Gaga is what she calls my mother in law, and MIL's signature is LVEB.)

The base is sort of reminiscent of Very Irresistible, with woody florals. Overall, Live Irresistible is not a terrible fragrance, but not full bottle worthy for me.

For recent Givenchy fragrances, I much prefer the Dahlia Divin line.

Soofiya

Finally I bought a 40ml of givenchy live irresistible in an amazing off in hiva perfume shops for 47$
When I tried it on a paper strip I was shocked and I felt it's very different with what I remembered.I remembered it to be sweeter but on paper it was fresh fruity and sharp which wasn't in love with but I could also detect lovely powdery floral scent, like a combination of rose and iris so I decided to try it on my skin too
It stays in fruity phase on paper for a long time but on skin, after a couple of minutes it settles to a pretty floralfruity(mostly rose, pineapple and passion fruit)sweetened by praline, amber and a touch of vanilla
It's not among my top favorites but I like it very much and I'm very happy to own this adorable bottle..I have to change my mind about best season for it.I used to think it's inappropriate for summer wear but now I think it's wearable all year round in case it's not too cold or too hot
Longevity is 6hours on my skin, tops and sillage is more than moderate but not heavy.it manages to remain light and fresh while being sweet and I think it deserves to be more popular
P.s:If you're afraid of fruits like pineapple to turn rotten after some time, don't be.it stays fresh and juicy..also it's rose isn't too strong to turn you off if you're not a rose lover
❤❤❤❤
Edit:
Now it's among my top favorites
I find this sweet fruity, powdery rose Devine!
It's a complement getter and has very satisfying projection and lasting power.I have already used half of my bottle.I will need a bigger bottle for spring and summer and deciding to repurchase a perfume happens for me verrryyy rarely
❤❤❤❤❤

peace_flower

Grim... sickly sweet and nauseating. It may just be my skin chemistry but it smells like a candy shop on me.

Soofiya

first time I tried it ,I felt like this can be a fruity version of lancome tresor luminious which I also like very much but don't own yet
It opens sweet but also tangy with tart fruit notes of pine apple, passion fruit and citruses and a sparkly, very pretty rose and a dash of pepper,it becomes sweeter, warmer and less peppery as time passes and dries down to dominant praline and rose with a melow, sweet fruitchouli
although very sweet,it has fresh, juicy vibe because of fruits, also feels clean in a pretty, girly way but still I can't think of wearing it in heat.I love sweet scents, sweeter the better but I prefer to wear really sweet ones in mild to cold weather, this one can be sticky in heat and also I feel fruits espeacially pine apple's scent changes in a bad way,so I'd never wear it in hot summer days, cooler spring and summer nights, also falls(day or night)are better IMHO
it's not an original scent but it's deliciosly sweet, flirty, happy and very feminine,it's sweet fruity in a luxurious way,not in a childish body mist way,so I really like it
it's bottle is also very pretty
longevity and sillage both seem to be very good,I can't tell since I don't own it and can judge after full wears
gonna buy it ASAP,however it's pretty expensive.it's more pricey than other givenchys here
❤️❤️❤️❤️

laulaura

I tried this a year ago and loved it, instantly.I luv Givenchi's perfumes for their feel good vibe, uplifting, bubbly, energic and tonic qualities.
This one i've searched for some time, it is fruity, makes me happy and smells nice.I like that it smells fruity, that it has rose and that it is bubbly, bright tropical and has a fizzy pretty nice smell.
This will be my signature scent for now
Luv,luv,luv ❤

auroramaria

When I first tried LI I found it too peppery, then I got a bottle and started using it during summer and fell in love with it.
I'm wearing it today and it smells gorgeous! It has the same sweet thickness of LVEB only LI is fruitier.
It leaves an amazing trail and has great longevity.
Back up bottle worthy

kitsunemagic

La Vie est Belle's fun and the sun loving cousin, resembles LVEB but sunnier and fruitier. The opening notes are a sharp mixed drink burst if pineapple and citrus, then the dry down becomes a sweet Praline, vanilla and patchouli that's very similar to LVEB

DarlingNikki

I want to like this and I can smell the quality of it, but man is it peppery on me (similar to the way Coco Mademoiselle or Flowerbomb behave on me)! I smell the pineapple for about thirty seconds and then it goes straight to pepper on my skin with a floral quality that reminds me of walking through Macy's fragrance area where all the perfumes people have sprayed to test are mixing in the air. Not unpleasant in essence, but...I just don't like this. Smells formal and mature on my skin and definitely seems like a fall/winter scent and not summer, unless you want to make people around you gag from the strength of this (it is very potent). I might try this again in the colder months and see if that changes my mind, but right now this is a no-go.

Edit: Okay, after wearing this for twenty minutes I had to scrub it off with a nail brush and Dial soap. Definitely too much pepper on me and then the patchouli started coming through loud and clear, too. I really envy those who have the pineapple and praline come through on this because I think that would've made it far more bearable. Definite pass for me and in the same vein as Si, La Vie Est Belle and all their siblings/cousins/friends.

Red Sin

this may sound a little bit silly, but the first five minutes of applying this perfume remind me of a FRESH strawberry juice from a juice shop or market.

hailes_xx

It's sweet. My boyfriend says it smells like "sweeties" and not much else. It's sort of a sticky sweet and childish scent, I think. It's nice, though, entirely pleasant, I do like it, but fades quickly and is too young for me. I wouldn't buy again.

BrittJ

It's not bad but reminds me of a typical fruity perfume from Victoria secret.

Migalex

Extremely common and caramelishly sweet floral fruity. The spicy facet is very strong although it smells to me more of pink pepper than of pepper. The texture is quite harsh. I usually love pink pepper, but not the effect obtained in this fragrance. I would classify it as floral fruity gourmand. However much I admire some of Dominique Ropion s fragrances, I cannot find anything appealing about this one.

cake n' cuddles

I feel very girly and a bit fun in a snotty way wearing this perfume.
The sour pineapple top is a bit off putting, but 30 minutes of skin chemistry melts this fragrance into a buttery praline rose with some sour fruits mingling to cut the sweetness.
Like many yves st laurent and givenchy perfumes this has a cold, harsh, almost industrial undertone that gives me a feeling of chemical glamour I find hard to describe. Like being in a hair salon or smelling the inside of a leather hand bag filled with makeup.
Excited to add an Irresistible to my collection, I believe I've found the right one to add!

persefoni

I have never liked any of the Irresistibles - apart from Mes Envies, which i didn't end up buying anyway!

This was a surprise! A fruity gourmand, with a rare quality nowadays, that of transforming as hours go by! I love the opening - very refreshing, i love the body - very unusual, and i adore the drydown 12 hours later - gourmand and warm, and somehow stronger than the opening!!!

It has a minty vibe that gives it a unique, unisex character!

123velvetrose

Like la vie est belle went on holidays to a tropical island and is now drinking pina coladas on the beach. Sweet and girly enough for day. Strong and sexy enough for night. Great staying power too.
I think you could wear this any time of the year. Very versatile.
I LOVE this!!!

dglightblue

To me this started off as juicy creamy.
Smelling over clothes gave it a sharper scent, smelling it in the skin was a bit more creamy.

About half an hour after I sprayed two sprays on my inner elbow, it was the kind of fruity that caught the back of my throat. Like a grapefruit does, you still like the grapefruit, but it catches you a bit.
It made my whole car smell of it.
I would try it again, perhaps if I were able to get hold of a tester and try in different days. It's a heavy fruity I would say

Edit: next day, I can still smell this faintly in my arm, so from about 5pm in the evening to about 3pm the next day. Wow. The ending is much more my thing, it could be that I had put two full sprays in the same place at the time of testing and that perhaps doesn't give a proper representation.
I still stand by my earlier comments, but if you like the smell you'll def get your money's worth I think

Red Sin

I tried this for the first time, i must say that i agree/disagree with others in some points:

Agreement;
It's very similar to LVEB by lancome, same sweetness and elegance
The only difference is that live irresistible is quite fruity

Disagreement:
This is VERY heavy scent, most people here say that it is summery scent
I personally think that it is quite strong and overpowering for it to be a summer scent
, or you could just spray it one spray and thats it!!

It lasts SO LONG on me, like 12 hours and you don't even have to refresh it during the day
Scent is absolutely beautiful, definitely will be wearing it again
But as a nighttime/ wintery scent only.

Red Sin

For some reasons i find this to be quite mature..

cat370

I just bought this yesterday....Love it! On first spray, it is a bit harsh on my skin, the dry down is quite lovely. I get the pineapple with a slight note of rose and amber. I don't get the LVEB comparisons, LVEB is a much stronger perfume, that should be worn in the winter months. Live irresistible can be worn day/night and any time of year. The longevity is awesome too.
Reminds me of the aroma of my Grandmother's pineapple upside down cake....yummy

canadianpetite

Co-worker who shares my penchant for fragrance likes this on me. I like the sweetness of pineapple and praline with strong patchouli and amber. Creamy sweet and powdery feminine cloud that envelopes me. I sprayed the nozzle half-way and yet my co-worker smelled it on me about a foot away. It has a large sillage that leaves a trail and longevity to boot so you get your money's worth from a small edp bottle but it may not be office-friendly. I love it for the mix and I don't love it for the strong projection. Sticks to clothes all day.

One half-spray on me
Sillage: a foot with trail
Longevity: 3 hours paints the air around you in a cubicle then discernible as you pass by someone
Rating: 4/5

Lissa1991

I really wanted to like this, but I'm not sure if it will be possible. It is very sweet, but floral sweet and not fruity sweet like the perfumes that make my heart melt. It reminds me a lot of See Eau Fraiche by Chloe, only it's not so intense (thank God!). I think the rose is a bit too much in this perfume, and me and rose scented perfumes usually don't get along. I think I will still give this another try as I was swatching other perfumes at the time and couldn't spray it as generously as I'd like. Sillage is a bit weak (the initial sprintz is strong, but the dry down is too discrete) and I'd expect better longevity for an EDP.

auroramaria

whenever iI checked for the complee notes I could only find pineapple, spicy rose and amber but Frageantica also list among other notes praline and vanilla are these notes correct?

blake.lee

This smells like cinnamon candy on me. I don't know why, but for some reason it does. Must be the pepper and pineapple combo? I like it! I don't think it smells at all like La Vie Est Belle because the pineapple is much too strong. It's more like a baby sister to Sultan by Al-Rehab.

Tovah

I've got a nose like a bloodhound, and I've worn La Vie Est Belle since its launch. I KNOW La Vie Est Belle - yet if you gave me a test strip of Live Irresistible, I would insist it's La Vie Est Belle. Live Irrésistible's bottle is beautiful, which is the reason I tested it, but it smells so much like La Vie on me, it actually made me mad. I think there's a slight note of pineapple that makes the two formulas different, but the praline-patchouli is so prominent on my skin it's difficult to discern Live from La Vie.

Megamind

I got a tester when I bought other fragrancies. It's another flanker from Givenchy. I like the work of Dominique Ropion and appreciate several of his fragrancies. But cannot wear his inventions continuously unfortunately. Because usually his scents are rather sweet and I need to make a break using fresh fragrancies. If not I'm sure I will be ill and couldn't stand his fragrancies anymore. So I'm cautious as I want to continue to enjoy all of them.
But coming back to this fragrance It is quite a fresh scent in the beginning with bright opening balancing between sweet pineapple and green apple. Or maybe it is the mix between pineapple and grapefruit that makes me think about an apple. As it dries down it becomes sweeter. And then I distinguish sweet praline and patchouli and may be some black pepper. Patchouli is balanced by musk and Amber and it is a very good thing because I hardly appreciate sweet patchouli (usually if it is too strong it makes me feel sick, and the only exception is Oriens Van Clef&Arpel). At the same time fresh pineapple notes pickle from here and there.
To resume it is an enjoyable long lasting cheerful scent good for daily wear with a good chemistry and during cold period. As for me I'm too afraid of this sweet patchouli and that is the main reason why I won't buy it. But if you are more lucky than me you would enjoy it.

guachipiruli

Inoffensive, easy to wear, pleasant, not much projection... good as office fragrance. The kind of thing you wear to smell nice and adequate and nothing more. It is supposed to be a limited edition, with limited sillage in our memories I am afraid.

liamo

sweet, fruity and very very pleasant. Like EDP longevity - lasts nearly forever, drydown leave no chemical harshness but clean inoffensive delicacy...
like it a lot

Shwets

Starts off sweet and fruity. However on my skin I'm getting the patchouli note or maybe the amber that reminds me of the frutchouli kind but subtle. Perhaps this is better on clothes for me.
Very different to the new edt.

Snicole82

I agree with others, this is a blast of fruit. But, I get the patchouli also.

I think it's an okay scent. Something that's not offensive. Pleasant enough for Spring and Summer.

Average sillage and moderate longevity.

tijgetje

oeh oeh oeh !! yes! this is heaven to me :-) Because it got the ingredients wich I love: rose, fruit, pepper, chocolate, amber, patchouli.

But I'm not quite sure if it's still nice in summer. It's winter over here and now I really like to wear this. In summer maybe more in the evening. As it is a bit heavy on my light skin.

The sillage and power are great. Not to forget that really really beauty of a Bottle! yes ? ( in real it looks much better I think )

I love Givenchy and this is a good one in line. To me, this is a better version of Si form G.A. wich is gone in a sec on my skin.

Ayper

While I can appreciate the merits of this fragrance, it's just way too sweet for my liking. Way, way too sweet. Even the tester strip almost gave me a headache. I had to step outside for fresh air, so if you plan to wear this to work or another public place, please apply sparingly with the head-ache prone in mind!
I agree with @Paula80 - this instantly reminded me of Guerlain la Petit Robe Noir, or perhaps LPRN Couture. So if you're into this type of sweet, fruity smell, you will probably like this. It is a nice smell, just not for me.
Edit: I forgot to say that the drydown is lovely, very soft but perky and wearable, but still a little headachy for me, which is unfortunate.

fragrantperfumes

I love it. It has a fruity opening that I don`t care for (my daughter loves it though), but as soon as it settles in, it has an incense-like scent (as the previous reviewer has said) that I really like. And I love the fact that it is from Givenchy as it has the typical great scillage and longevity that I am used to with my other Givenchy perfumes and eau de toilettes.

Ms. Cherie

This is so much fun to wear! To sum it up, it is fizzy, sweet, fruity and peppery and dries down to a soft amber/musk. There is an incense-like vibe that makes it different than most floral fruity scents I have...quite upbeat actually. Enjoy it while you can as it is a limited edition.

Purplegem

A friend and I tried this on both of us. Despite the description it reminded us both of incense, or a new age type shop that is burning that. I think it's the amber and a bit of patchouli. There is a touch of spice too. Not really spicy - I am usually very sensitive to spicy notes. By spice I mean something that hits the nose rather than a particular scent I can pick out (so, pepper). The dry down is more girly/powdery. Quite odd/unusual considering that if anything, perfumes tend to get deeper with time, and don't really dry down to what this does which is a completely different scent to me to when originally sprayed or an hour after originally sprayed. Can slightly detect pineapple but only after reading it was a note. Personally I don't like this though.

DashaRayOfLight

Rose? Pineapple?? I only detect sugary notes, the scent is almost identical to la vie est belle, only tiny bit gentler and less chemical! But in this case I'd rather go for la vie est belle eau de toilette! That one is also gentle, non-chemical and way way more beautiful!

Rochellesc

The previous reviewer hit all my points for me. Notes, in theory, sound amazing. On me, the initial spray smells like a roll of LifeSavers! A few minutes after dry down, all that's left is sharp, tangy pineapple which became overwhelming in time. This was ONE wrist spritz! I've tried it twice and am sad to conclude that this is just not the right chemistry for me. Great longevity for those it works well for!

blackw0lfx

im on the fence about this one. on me is smells like flowerbomb (or any other very sweet fragrance) with loads of amber and some tart sharp aftertaste (the pineapple probably). i kind of like the amber but the sharp pineapple really turns it off for me. also the sweetness is so generic that i dont find it really worth the buy. i think its suitable for day or night. i dont think anyone should wear it to work as on me i smelled like i sprayed myself 10 times instead of once. the drydown is good though so if you can spray it on yourself and not go to work for a few hours until it settles then you are fine. if you dont own flowerbomb, lveb, or anything like that and are looking for a more summer sweet fragrance then this may be for you.

my husband liked it but it did not wow him.

Dort0625

I was just given a few samples of this at shoppers drug mart, and I must say I actually like it. I find that givenchy fragrances are typically head ache inducing, strong spicy and usually nothing I like. This one has a perfect blend of that spicy/strong element mixed with the lighter, more soft and flirty notes. If I found this cheap I would buy it

ZELJO

a good youthful edt, as pink and shinning as its bottle, Limited edition really? have seen everywhere around, malls, small parfum shops, big ones, bus stop....doesnt look like a limited edition at all, suitable for all kind of women but much better in women under 35,romantic,easy to wear and casual.

dannysmom

Givenchy seems to be a house that works well for me. This one is no exception, and I did buy a bottle after thinking about it constantly for two days.

I smell the pineapple, but it's blended beautifully with the amber. On me, it very much reminds me of Armani Si but better. There is also almost an "asian" note to it, that I've smelled in other perfumes. Not sure what it is; but it's creamy, exotic, and gorgeous.

This is limited edition, and I had to get a bottle. It will remind you of other fragrances (Si, LVEB, etc), however, I think it's so much better. Also, some people are stating this would be good in summer. I'm thinking more spring and fall. Summers here are hot (over 100 degrees), and humid. This would be sickening then, but it's absolutely perfect in 70's and low 80's weather.

Give it a try.

celia46

I totally agree with Bluemarinejosep s review!

My mum wear La vie et belle, and when I first smell Live Irresistible immediately remembered lveb.

After two days using Live irresistible I can say that is much more wearable than levb.

The bottle is fantastic, very beautiful.

“Live Irresistible” Givenchy – 09.30.2015

“Live Irresistible” is a pretty perfume suitable for day or night wear and for all occasions yet, so similar to the ones that I have tried lately so that I, honestly, cannot tell them apart anymore…

“Live Irresistible” is the usual pretty, sugary, somewhat floral scent of the moment… Pleasant but, there is absolutely nothing to distinguish it from the rest of the perfumes which fall in the category of the trend of the moment.

I am certain that, despite how pleasant it is, I have smelled something similar to this at least a dozen times so far. It could very well be “Si” by Giorgio Armani, “La Vie Est Belle” by Lancome (minus the smokey note), “Black Opium” by Yves Saint Laurent, “Decadence” by Marc Jacobs… the list can go on and on. I am not suggesting that they are identical or dupes for each other but, they are so similar that I feel I could easily confuse one for the other.

For me, “Live Irresistible” is a good yet pointless purchase.

It is not a disappointing scent considering that it is pleasant and has a good silage and longevity.

It is just that I get this feeling of “Oh no, another one of the same… again…” and, truthfully, I have so missed an original, different scent…

Thank you for reading
Enjoy the perfume quest
Regards

I really don't like this one. Very bad combination of notes for me, I have owned about 5 Givenchy fragrances and I am a fan of this house. However this one is just icky for me- far too sweet, very offish- not well blended. Very prominent sickly amber with a slight honey warm melted fruit smell. No, sorry for me pineapple and amber do not work well together. Light fruity tropical fresh pineapple does not work with warm spicy amber- it equals a sickly sweet awful smell. Far too sickly sweet- don't blind buy- this is not a safe option perfume- I think it will depend very much on the individuals skin scent as to how this perfume will take. It does smell of warmed rotten pineapple to me.

Uplifting and bright lovely scent!! I don't detect the pineapple per se, but this smells great!! Juicy fruity floral, the floral notes are there from the start, especially the rose, so this isn't like an Escada fruit concoction, this is a rich charming creamy scent! The Amber gives it also a warm aura.
Most of the irresistible flankers are nice, but that one rises above the rest!! Fall is almost here and this is the perfect in between seasons perfume!! Utterly pretty and feminine .

Very likable pineapple fragrance. Usually pineapple is not a nice note in perfumes, but this one is an exception.
This smells exactly like fresh rose and sweet juicy pineapple.
Girly, youthful, lovely fragrance.
I agree with everyone who considers it to be carefree and charming fragrance.

I find it amazing how Givenchy perfumes work on me. Usually my skin makes ANY perfume disappear in a matter of one or two hours. I've tried most praized for their longevity such as TM's Alien,Rebelle by Rihanna,Manifesto etc. and none worked well with my skin longevity wise. The only perfume so far that stayed put on my skin was Givenchy's Very Irresistible and I've been using that one for years. Today I got a bottle of this liquid gold and voila, same longevity and sillage as Very Irresistible. I don't know what they do differently but I hope they continue doing it. This is one gorgeous, feminine, vibrant perfume. One that makes you feel alive, makes you want to seize the day,one that turns heads. It's sweet and strong yet not headache inducing, bold yet not suffocating. Perfect for summer days or evenings, although,in my opinion,it would smell amazing during cold days as well, when we all need some sunshine. Roses, musk and pepper could do their magic during winter months yet pineapple makes this perfume pure perfection during summer. It does seem sweet for the first few minutes but after that it develops into such a sophisticated but not cloying scent. If perfumes normally last long on you,you might want to use it sparingly. It is not everyone's cup of tea so get a sample first and try it before buying. For me this is one of those perfumes that make you wish you could walk backwards just so you can smell it. It's a wrist sniffer, delicious sunshiny bottled femininity. I sprayed it only twice today and I've been sitting for hours in it's cloud of deliciousness, enjoying every minute of it. I could praise it forever but you must try it for yourself. Happy sniffing.

This is fresh, fruity, pretty, uplifting and girly. I can imagine it being worn by someone young and carefree. I only tested this on a card but I like it enough to want to try it again on my skin to see how it develops and lasts. The tester card I spritzed it on smells so delicious!

Way too fizzy. Even more than the slew of fizzy fragrances of the last decade.

Update: I find this perfume rough and raspy. I prefer the syrupy gourmand of Lanvin Me. These two are similar, with Lanvin Me being smoother and creamier.

Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!
This is a pineapple that didn't turn into rotten one! Sooo delicious and mouthwatering, i enjoy wearing it very much! I do not smell much rose in here ( at least on my skin not), but just a sweet musky pineapple and a hint of pepper and strong amber note. The whole composition is really irresistible, the bottle is beautiful, projection is good. I am really satisfied with this Givenchy efition and will be getting it for sure.
Girly, fun, cheerful an sunny it brings me into a happy mood. Fits well the grey sky and rainy autumn days!!! This can be my new aphrodisiac!!!
Good job Givenchy!!

This is indeed a sweet fragrance, easy to wear during the summer. For some reason it gives me a discotheque vibe. When smelling this this I imagine young girls wearing mini skirts, high heels, pink lipstick, glittery nails, etc.

This is very heavy perfume and long lasting. I can smell mostly rose and it's quite sharp on my skin. Not very memorable imo, just OK.

amazing! when 1st sprayed it's sweet & fruity for around an hour, as is mellows down it becomes almost creamy on me but it smells incredible! i couldn't stop sniffing it on me & it lasts until its washed of. great scent
