Caramelkisses

Scored a 30 ml from Portugal. Can’t wait to wear this beauty this summer. Such a sexy fragrance.

Leather&pearls

This is a perfect scent for going on the run and not having to think. Sweet and crowd pleasing. The tuberose is buttery with a slight hint of banana. The woody base makes it milky. Lasts about 4 hrs with moderate sillage.

Saffron pink

Milky sweet , banana floral from the tuberose, creamy vanilla. Musky perfection.
Perfectly blended. Warm, cozy, comforting with a delicious soft spice. The patchouli is calm and seductive.
This shares the dna with this is her, minus the chestnuts and whipped creaminess
But if you love that one you’ll love this.
A safe blind buy for me !

Lidell

The sour-sweet milky note makes this scent more interesting than a generic vanilla musk, but it also ruins it for me. I am a bit too disgusted by the idea of smelling like breast milk. Sorry. :(

Suncica7

I have got chased wearing few perfumes, this one included (the others-This is her, Narciso white cube, Bvlgari Jasmin noir old formulation, Dolce Gabanna red cap...)
When it comes to Just Rock, not only that it was the most unusual fragrance I smelled, and very sexy(in warm weather, I only wear it in warm weather, in cold it is too masculine for my taste), but people were always wowed by it.
Everyone would approach me and ask what is it, even though at times I was only able to smell it in my hair not on skin. In hair it keeps that earthy dirty sexy note, on skin more milky.
Few friends said ''oh that is a perfume? i thought that is just how you smell''.
I was on a cloud <3
It performs very appealing, both females and males chased me to ask what is it, it's sexy, it's amazing, it's provocative etc.
if you want to make it a daily scent, I suggest two sprays maximum.
Since it is discontinued I try to save it and won't wear it around as an everyday casual working day scent.
Magic really. But then again, when i read comments here I realized how the chemistry is everything.

Shan101beauty

Very cozy and comforting

Trishalalalala

Points to note:
Leaves mark when sprayed on clothes. Feels oily when sprayed on skin.

Smells like:
Powdery fresh, slightly sweet perfume with a tiny bit mentholyness at the back. Nothing groundbreaking, just nice.

Reminds me of:
JHAG Not a Perfume.

NoMilkToday

It smells really weird on my wrist. Blind bought it, so now I'm selling that 100ml bottle. Pm me if interested.

Waterlily333

Maybe it’s just my skin, but on me this smells like milk-fed baby vomit. Should have been called ‘Just rock the baby’ or even better ‘Don’t rock the baby’. Hard pass.

truffles

Smelled it in a shop today, thought it was incense. The shop lady showed me what she'd been spraying around.
Incense is always good to my nose, off to see if there's any of this stuff floating about ...

Denizalabdullah

I do not know if this perfume discontinue? I can not find anywhere else anymore but i do love this, very nice, long lasting and sillage is very good. I did not try this her though. If they are really similar i can go ahead with This is her after i finish this bottle.

Scandaleuse

Daily compliments.

Catmo

This is similar to the original This Is Her. It has the same base but without the whipped cream. It isn’t as tart and has the woody notes added. If you like the original you’ll probably like this too.

Nocciola23

This is a soft, woody perfume that to me is more unisex than feminine.
It's not a unique scent by any means, but it is really pleasant and has exceptional longevity and sillage. For me the woody notes overpower all others, but it does have a creamy, buttery scent that gives it depth.

broro117

To my nose, this is nearly identical to This is Her but with an odd peppery aspect to its sour sweetness. Feels very redundant to me. Not sure if this one can justify its existence.

Saukatz

The people below me have already described what this smells like. There is not much to add, the scent is very lovely - creamy, woody, vanilla. When I sprayed this today in a store I immediately thought I have smelled this somewhere before... and then I got it! This one is VERY similar to Rasasi's "Rabwa". When I got back home I compared them both on my skin and indeed, very similar. I would say "Rabwa" smells at least 90% like "Just Rock!"

Danaalr

This is a lovely scent, blind buy safe if you’re into the creamy lactonic slightly woody floral scent line. This reminds me of the dry down in Coffee Break which is my favorite part.

Pnkllr

It reminds me of Kilian Black Phantom&Initio Psychedelic Love but less heavier version. I liked it!

Madyana

I’m a big patchouli friend, and I can’t understand why I don’t like it in this scent? Maybe the very milky nature of this? I’m a little confused. This is Her with chestnuts and a strong sandalwood pleased me more.

ScentedPlaza

Dreamy & happiness inducing! It has that "Juliette has a gun... Mmm" vibe. So cozy! The verdict - a hug in a bottle! P.s. In my opinion, it's a safe blind buy if you love creamy and lactonic scents.
Edit: The patchouli gives it a nice balance of earthiness, so it doesn't get cloying. A great addition to my perfume wardrobe!

Purrplealien

Had to let this settle for about a week and now I really like it. I guess all perfumes sent in the mail will be shaken to some degree so they should get some time to settle before they're used. That's just my opinion though.

First I thought this would be a very simple and regular type of vanilla, but I was so wrong. I think that's a part of why I didn't like it at first.

Now I really like how different it is with the wood notes and the patchouli. This is not just a sweet vanilla fragrance with white flowers, it's more than that. I wouldn't blind buy this though, you should test it first. Strong like from me!

melusina1982

The only tuberose that works on my skin. I adore the smell of that flower but it turns very bitter or bubblegummy the second it touches my skin depending on the blend.
I can't believe I'm saying this: synthetic candle vanilla, full on bubblegum tuberose but it works!
No idea what came over me because I blind bought it after reading reviews here some or other evening. Chance I guess!
Lasts an INSANE amount of time both on skin and clothes, but with a soft drydown, almost like an aura,so it is easy to top up with another fragrance if you feel the need to spice things up.

Rhialto the Marvellous

First off, the smell of Just Rock! is gorgeous; powdery, floral, woody vanilla. But the sillage! It is MONSTROUS! EPIC! LEGENDARY!

I have never experienced anything like it, and I've smelled some strong perfumes! My coworker wears this as her signature, and let me tell you. We work in a pretty big office space with a very long hallway. If she walks down that hallway once, 15 minutes later the trail is still clearly hanging there, as if she just walked by! And that's like at the end of the day, which must be hours after she put it on in the morning. It's absolutely unbelievable, it's totally unrivaled!

But it's not like she's choking out the room either. She sometimes works in my office right next to me, and yeah, I smell it all the time, but it's just... there. It's not a suffocating, cloying cloud at all. It just leaves an unfathomable, neverending trail when she moves around. Holy cow, it's off the charts I tell you!!

I've asked how much she applies, and she says she does apply quite a lot, also to her clothes.

So moral of the story: If you're looking for a gorgeous vanilla sillage monster, and! you're not afraid to apply liberally (not unimportant!), this is it!

I don't think I've ever called anything this before, but there's no way around it: this is absolute BEAST MODE.

Five fucking stars!!!!!

EDIT 31-01-2022: This has been discontinued. =( =( =( Get if, if you can.

Suncica7

My favorite. Forever. The Right One. The One. Reminds me of the sand, desert, Andalusia vs Marocco vibes. Unusual. Delicous. Sexy. Deep. Very deep perfume. Meaningful. Meaningful as the most profound poetry.

Jullie777

I don't get tuberose in it and if I did, I wouldn't like it. Its a lovely fragrance, very rounded and super smooth, absolutely no sharp edges. Sweet, lactonic, addictive.

strawberryswitchblade

It beats me why this fragrance is supposed to be associated with Rock. There is absolutely nothing hard or edgy in it. This is a mellow oriental oud scent. While the initial blast and first couple of minutes are indeed somewhat overwhelming and loud, soon enough all the accords settle down and let vanilla take take the lead. The vanilla tones down the spicy, woody, frankincense notes and turns the whole concoction into an intoxicating, warm, sensual, relaxing oud scent. Needs to be applied sparingly in order to avoid olfactory nerve fatigue. It lasts forever and I can still smell it after 24 hrs and showering

Thaolee

I agree with Laura.jes, it projects very long and lingering around that ppl around me can smell it the whole day even Iam not not able to smell it much on myself hahaha. And get a lot of compliments. Love this one, very cozy, warm, fluffy, creamy. One of my favourite successful blind buy.

laura.jes

Recenty added this to my collection and absolutely love it. On me I mostly smell sandalwood mixed with creamy notes and little bit of floral freshness. Very alluring composition and makes you want to smell it over and over but Just Rock! should not be oversprayed- even though I myself cannot detect it quite soon after spraying but I have been told that it projects like crazy by people around me. A compliment getter :) feels warm but with little bit of soft edge

Magnoliajo

This smells exactly the same as This Is Her but without the chestnut note. I don't smell any woods or incense just a sweet vanilla with a strange note to it. Doesn't last long either same as TIH

It's an addiction

I just got this in the mail and sprayed a little on my shirt (since already wearing something else, but not wanting to wait any longer either). This has the This is Her DNA, but it kept reminding me of something I recently added to my collection. I couldn't figure it out just yet, so I came up here to see if I would...And yes, now I know! This reminds me a lot of Valentina Myrrh Assoluto. Will properly wear it first in order to further review.

yurkin

To me this is the more creamier, more body-lotion-vibe version of Valentino Valentina Myrrh Assoluto. I'll be glad to have both I think Just Rock! would be the more wearable one.

pinkmossy

On first blast I get mainly wood and incense with a bit of vanilla, but the vanilla quickly takes over while the jasmine blooms. It's smooth and creamy, not super sweet but there is a tempered Sweetness to the scent with the vanilla there with the woods and incense keeping it grounded. It's sexy and sophisticated and modern all at the same time.

Toom_Snoopy

This perfume is very buttery, milky vanilla. It's very sweet and rather linear. I have to spray lightly because it's very headache-inducing.

CallMeT__

OK. This is so much sandalwood, so much that I couldn’t keep in my collection as it reminded me of that creamy furniture polish. I wanted to love this so much but the amount of sandalwood was just too much for me. Just Rock is a creamy, grown-up vanilla that has decent performance. Garners compliments, lasts a long time on skin and clothes and has a clean and elegant feel to it. I can see why people love this one, unfortunately, it’s one I had to swap out immediately as I did not get on with.

I will be giving this another try in the future though, as I think a Zadig & Voltaire fragrance would be a nice addition to my collection.

kkaattjjeess

Let me just start by saying how much I appreciate Zadig and Voltaire for the uniqueness and quality (sillage and longevity) of their perfumes, especially given the price point.

I already own and love This is her!, so I knew I'd love this one too, after reading the notes.

Just rock smells like woody playdough to me, which may sound repulsive for some, I personally really like it.

ree_ire88

I can not stop sniffing this scent. I find it comforting. I get the patchouli, jasmine, and vanilla on my skin. Doesn't last more than 4 hours on my skin, but I honestly do not care. I own Z&V This is her and I'm definitely becoming a fan of this house.

Planet_X

The most complimented fragrance lately and the one that you want to stock up big time. It is extremely unique and comforting, sensual and easy to pull off in any mood and in any day.

The irony is that just looking at the notes I would never go for it, but Zadigs have this magic of smelling as Zadigs only do, - very futuristic, cold-creamy, like a non-sweet diet gourmand, that satisfies your cravings for the dessert without giving you these extra 2000 calories.
It is similar with Zadig This Is Her indeed, but initial aromatic explosure in first 30 seconds is completely different, way more interesting and addictive, like an unusual incensy bubblegum, that never goes into cheap, sticky or primitive side. One of most used at the moment fragrances and the one I only buy in 100 ml bottles)
From what I understand there is no tuberose or woody notes in this fragrance, on my bottle it says only: jasmine absolue, vanille noire, encens, patchouli

zind

Incredibly gorgeous!!

A rare love at first sniff for me. First reaction: "this is my fracas!", crazy, i know... But!, I had a sample of fracas several years ago and that scent has haunted me since. It does not sell in my country and considering how much my taste has changed I am not willing to buy at an already high price + the insane taxes. Just Rock has some of that candy/eraser/childhood memory scent that I loved so much in fracas (candy tuberose). Then Rock has a ton of vanilla, which is never wrong imo and something that makes that carefree childhood associaton even stronger. It's very different from Fracas of course, it just satisfies the same sort of comfort and scent craving for me

First I thought it was quite girly and simple, but I don't feel that way anymore. I swear that there is incense in Just Rock (I had to look it up and some sites actually do list it as a note), enough to give it a bit of an edge and way more character than I initially assumed.

To me this is an incredible scent and one that I have been looking for a long time

Btw, very different from the original imo. I tried that on in a store not long ago and was complemented on it immideately but the whipped cream/vanilla note was too sickening for me to wear (i'd probably love it on someone else). Only tried it once, but from my memory they are not remotely the same

Edit: after wearing it some more I would like to add that the vanilla is by far the major note, esp in the dry down. Usually when someone calls a perfume a vanilla scent I disagree, but this truly IS. It never gives off the impression of smelling natural, but it is very beautiful none the less!

Caramelkisses

This is another one of my favorites!!! Sweet, sexy vanilla that’s garners so many compliments. This beauty shines in warmer months vs colder months.

mschnabel666

MMMMMMMM this is wonderful! I don't get any earthy-ness (I wish!), I get a milky vanilla woody floral incense, that dries down to sweet incense 10+ hours later.

I think fans of Chinatown would love Just Rock. JR is like CT but without the cardamom.

I prefer Just Rock to the Original Z & V Her-- which is good but rather generic sweet/milky/nutty/woods. Rock has a bit more pizzazz.

Days later on my first tissue test, it's still smell-able, and very vanilla like the first For Her. I am not sure what I'm smelling in this perfume, but I get fruit?

Asteria19

this smells just like the scent produced when rain falls on dry soil and vanilla. earthy and sweet but not cloying.i am not very good with detecting different notes but this is what i would've create if i had the chance.

PearlGarden

Incredible perfume. Sweet , sweet vanilla with red peppers in your face ! Minimalistic, yet so velvety, rich and slightly musky in a way. Romantic, feminine yet powerful.

I can definitely see a woman in a leather jacket and boots wearing this. Power and the softness together are blended for pure perfection.

Zadig & Vltaire never disappoint.

Devved

This is the most sexiest, aromatic and mysterious vanilla fragrance on the market. I like this one better than the original This is Her, as this one has a spicy opening at first which the original I think does not have. Therefore, I understand the rock aspect of it. Everyone always wonders what I'm wearing as it smells like a dream, almost like vanilla ice cream. It's a shame that it's not in stores in the UK anymore and it wasn't as popular there, but this is my favourite perfume of all time. I will never stop wearing this! I've never smelt anything similar to this and I'm 100% sure that you will like it, there is no one that would hate it!!!!!! Trust me!!!!

yiotagreece

A milky, creamy vanilla perfume which has an oomph to it, something a bit ''dirty'' sexy on the background. I have yet not found something like this perfume. Its longevity and projection are great!

jewel93

I asked for some gourmand recommendations on the forum that weren't too cloying/headache-inducing, and this came up a couple of times, so I decided to go for it as I could get the 30ml for pretty cheap.

It smells very unisex from the bottle, but on my skin it turns into a beautiful, creamy vanilla with a hint of white florals and just a slight touch of woody notes. I LOVE this. It's so delicious smelling and comforting- one of the reviews mentions this smells like the colour white, and I agree 100%.

evapap181977

it is almost twin and equally gorgeous to this is her ..just rock is a misleading name for this simple yet captivating potion because the use of the vanila and the way it blends so harmonicaly with the woody elements make this more femminine. for me this is her is the right name for this and just rock for the first edition

Renate79

I really love this perfume! It's an addictive and unusual scent, sweet but not cloying. I also tried "this is her" version but I think "just rock" is more feminine and I feel sexy and confident every time I wear it. Great longevity on my skin, definitely one of my favourite autumn/ winter sweet-vanilla scent.

92juanjavier

First I fell in love with This is HIM but I bought Just rock for him, later I love This is HER but I bought Just rock for her.
I'm a man but this scent is simply amazing, is not too much feminine in my opinion, a guy can wear this too (both men and women can wear ANY perfume, but you know)
I love the vanilla and the rest of the notes that make this perfume amazing.
What a longevity! And its sillage is kind of beast.
Anything "smell like" in this fragrance, very original.
By the way, comes with a note of incense that it's not listed here!

Valentineee

bianca_11106

This is a really delightful and comforting fragrance.
It's creamy sweet, cozy and soft, kind of cuddly, and it smells white to me - not like clean laundry white but more of a milky fluffy, creamy-vanilla white.
I don't get any tuberose, Zadig & Voltaire website doesn't even list it.
It resembles This is Her, but this one is sweeter and rounder and it has a smooth lactonic quality to it, which I enjoy a lot.
I just love it, it's a wonderful scent with a great sillage and a very long lasting power on my skin, and it makes me feel good whenever I wear it.

Molly Smith

I'm surprised there is no white musk in the notes, it smells like delicate, creamy, milky white musk to me. I think it would make a great "no perfume" fragrance.
Update: I tested it again today, and I couldn't stop smelling my hand. The scent went strong for 4 or 5 hours until I had to shower. It is so lovely, soft and milky, but patchouli and the woody notes give it a twist. I would love to have a body lotion scented like that.
Update-2: I suddenly got what it reminds me of - milk oolong! Milkiness + patchouli remind me of milk oolong tea leaves.
Update-3. After a few test, a petrol-like note appeared and spoilt it for me. Now I can't unsmell it.

kristy13

I love this perfume. It reminds me of my preteen years as to me it smells like my best friend’s bedroom where we’d have sleepovers. we would spray ourselves with bath and body works vanilla-y scents and then stay up late talking about our crushes on her wooden bank bed. this perfume smells exactly like that to me: vanilla and wood. love it.

vattenmelon

its very similar to *this is her* but a little more sour and "peppery"......i don't really know if i like this or not....its a very special fragrance, not for everyone.

Vanilla panda

Unexpected condensed milk drydown, adding some interest to that nice but not wowing frag.

AnnBerg

It is creamy, milky vanilla and also a tad woodsy. It is sweet and cosy and not to sticky. I like it quite a lot. Very delicious but a little to mainstream.

Gourmandlover

I love the sweet woodsy smell of this. I was making a sample for a friend and spilled quite a lot because of the powerful sprayer. Now I'm stil enjoying the sweet and smoky scent, I simply love it! This is her is a bit sweeter with less woody notes I think.

SweetHeart90

So underrated... this perfume is GOALS!

It smells unisex in the bottle then on me the vanilla shines right through, but on my friends it goes floral, guess I am just lucky?

The smell is so good it actually turns me on haha

Cathped

Very common smelling. Patchouli and tuberose. I dont find it similar to "This is her".

ladenu

This smells fantastic to me. Jus like the warm milk and vanilla smell when you enter a coffee shop.

Mona Lygre

I think "bring it on" - some day it will follow me home =))

iamoir

Just Rock! falls close to her sister with the white floral aspect amplified. It remains milky, creamy, nutty, as sweet and as synthetic smelling as the original with added notes of a fractalised patchouli, powdery notes, that are very complimentary to the whole composition and a heady jasmine in the drydown. The tuberose, the bomb-floral that I'm used to, is not here, and the woody notes do smell a tad synthetic. It is not necessarily a bad thing; I consider it a modern concept, some say niche, I accept that, as long as it doesn't smell cheap, and Just Rock! does not.

It is a weird combination indeed, stabilizing right in the middle of being and not being gourmand, just like its sister, warm with a fuzzy note, that also exists in Poison Girl EDT, could be the cashmeran. Modern, tropical, soft, youthful, more sensual than the original, mainly close to skin and long lasting.

Not my personal preference despite the courageous addition of jasmine, but still a good quality perfume.

shades-of-lethe

Yet another underrated perfume... For me it is very beautiful and elegant, with its flowery, earthy aroma, and niche DNA. And definitely nothing close to "This is Her" by the same house. But again, it seems that everyone perceives smell differently...

Midnight Lady

The white bottle perfectly fits the character of this fragrance. Although I don't really see a point in calling it Just Rock! as I don't really get any rebellious vibe.

I get mainly vanilla - sweet, soft, velvety, quite synthetical. And wood. Can't detect much of florals. On the other hand I'm surprised this doesn't have whipped cream note listed. It really does smell like milky vanillic whipped cream eaten with wooden spoon.

It's clean, soft, sweet (not cloyingly) and cozy - just like being in your PJs covered with fluffy blanket and eating your favourite cake while watching a movie when it's snowing outside.

It's not my style of a fragrance, but I have to admit it certainly smells different than most of the fragrances I know and it's somehow really interesting and kinda nice.

boannika

Wow, this is lovely! A sweet, milky, vanilla that's a bit similar to the one in Nero Assoluto by RC. I sprayed it once on my hand last night and my bed smells like it even now. Impressive sillage and longevity and you can get 50 ml for around 35 Euros here in Germany at an online perfume store called Flaconi (which I btw, definitally recommend cause they have the best prices). Lovely, I'm sure I'll buy it someday.

UPDATE: My sister owns this, and she says it's the first perfume that gave her a headache. I kind of get it now that I've been smelling it on her on a daily basis (since we work at the same place) , as it is quite strong and sweet, and remains so until you take a shower. I would still wear it occasionally, but I guess I couldn't bear smelling it on me all day, every day.

Melian

This is a beautifully sweet, really elegant, pleasant, calming perfume. I think of the clean, white color when I smell this lovely floral, milky scent. This perfume is fits for almost every occasion. I very like this perfume. Unique and wearable for everybody.

raiza1990

This smells almost identical to the original, just a bit greener, lighter and musk free. Ahh, and with an alcoholic opening. I don't have much more to say. If you already own the original, this one isn't even worth a test.

oksaoksa

• I found this soft milky note close to some adorable niche aromas, but the difference is that here in Zadig&Voltaire wouldn't be any changes to any different notes in dry down that niche does.

Сияна.Славчева

This scent is everything beautiful...it smells like a dream...it's so clean and soft, it's not overpowering and the notes are so well balanced. I think this is good for all year. Perfect for work. On my skin it lasts about 8 hours.

If youre looking for a clean and positive scent, this one is for you :)

SailorV

The official notes on the Zadig & Voltaire website for Just Rock are white patchouli, incense, jasmine and vanilla.

I think this is very similar to their first scent, This is Her! But it's a little less sticky sweet, cleaner and has a slight floral note through the jasmine.
It is still a warm and creamy perfume without any tart or fresh notes, but with a synthetic edge. Vanilla is the most dominant note. Initially there is also a strong woody note. The patchouli is soft, but noticeable, and for some reason I also get a bit of licorice. I don't get any incense.
I would categorize this as a woody and sweet vanilla. To me it's an okay fragrance but a bit too synthetic smelling.

genny17

I am a big fan of the Zadig fragrances, I used I think three bottles of This Is Her...Just Rock is simply more floral, nice Jasmine, soft tuberose, on a bed of woods and vanilla..so not extremely different from this is her...just a different vibe,....the tuberose is a bit buttery, but I can hardly detect it..the Jasmine also is real pretty...this isn't like very strong, this is a cocooning soft warm scent....smells great !! The bottle is also a great unique design
Not sure I find it oriental floral, more like a floral gourmand..nothing too oriental here, and nothing that makes me think of rock and roll...outside of being modern, but not youngish pet se..really enjoying the easy to like vibe Just rock has...when your goal is simply to smell good !!
