Great blind buy from
Kate Moss Luxury Limited edition this is a great dupe for Dior's Midnight Poison kinda amazing how this is just a year apart from Midnight poison, I find them both equally gorgeous the patchouli in Midnight is colder sharper and this one is smoother with a waxy lemony magnolia and dark roses spot on and then a smooth musky vanilla warms on the skin nicely.

Its unfortunate that both are discontinued and so hard to find but if you are able to get your hands on this baby please don't hesitate to buy if you're a Dior's Midnight Poison enthusiast you won't regret.
I also have Elle YSL and to me Kate Moss luxury edition is more closer to Midnight poison than the raspberry litchi patch that YSL Elle edp has IMO.

Le parfum c'est chic

In the very formated world of perfume's star, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss are the only ones I like. JSP's Covet and Stash are some kind of ovnis in this market with their masculine side. Kate Moss's perfumes have generally an interesting vintage vibe like Vintage and Vintage muse. In her perfume blog Au parfum, Jeanne Doré write a good review for Kate eau de toilette done by Nathalie Lorson.I really prefer the eau de parfum version. It's darker and have a stronger presence compare to the eau de toilette. I can see the parenty with Dior's Midnight poison. For $30 it's really worth the price and I like the funny kitsch nail polish style bottle.

Spot-on review below by gashdown!

I bought the Luxury Edition by mistake, thinking that it was the original Kate EDT. Well, what a happy accident that turned out to be! I have a sample of YSL Elle and have been nursing hopes for a full bottle but not at the current asking price. In my opinion Kate Luxury Edition can stand in for Elle any day!

I smell a slight lemony fresh note at first, which is followed by sweet magnolia mixed with rose. Luxury Kate has a smooth, sultry patchouli and I'm also getting a warm spicy note. I think it's the combination of patchouli, fruity rose and spice that reminds me so much of Elle. A side note: another web site lists orange blossom absolue as a note, and I *wish* I could detect the forget-me-not - how charming! For what it's worth I like the wand applicator as I can control the dosage. This was a great find and I'm very happy to have this in my collection!

In my opinion, it only shares the same rose and musk with the original Kate EDT.
In a different bottle, in could easily be a flanker for either YSL Elle EDP (it would actually be a better EDT version of Elle than the original, in my humble opinion.) or of Dior Midnight Poison (I could see it be Midnight Poison Eau Sensuelle).
So, if we want to compare it to the aforementioned perfumes, I would said that...

Compared to YSL Elle (Eau de Parfum): A bit less sweet, slightly more fresh and somewhat tart. In lieu of litchi we get nectarine and pineapple. I know the "official" notes list peach, but it doesn't even list ROSE! So bite me. Mixes a lot more with my skin, it doesn't "sit on top" of it. Not exactly a skin scent, but never an attention whore like Elle can sometimes be.

Compared to Dior Midnight Rose: The patchouli in Kate is a lot less masculine and overbearing. The fruits are more ripe and present, without ever falling in the Fruity-Floral category. It's more of a casual chic Floriental.

I know it's rather hard to find nowadays. In my case it was a chance buy: a dusty box at the bottom of the cheap perfumes shelf in a drugstore in Nowheretown, $7.99. But if you come across it and like its two big sisters from a different mister, don't hesitate to grab it. In my case, it replaced both of them.

Very distinct rose. Also more similar to the original than I thought it would be looking at the notes here. I bought it unsniffed and I'm happy it is similar as I like the original. It is different enough to be its own scent but close enough to be a safe purchase if you like the original. Very pretty, the original has been a favourite a long time. I love perfumes, I have a silly amount and a mixture between power houses and celebs. I don't mind celebs, they can be nice when you want something new and cheerful. This one is definitely one of those. I should add I am a fan of most of Kate's perfumes, expect the summer versions. Too light for me.

I really can't believe you didn't put rose among the notes. It is very distinctive in this fragrance.

Zhanel

To me it smells just like Elle by YSL. I have Elle, after it finishes thinking of buying Kate Moss. She has the best celebrity perfumes.

emi

Similar to Dior Midnight Poison in my opinion.

I must edit.

Yes I still think that it is similar to MP but it has less of patchouly and the rose is mor fresh in this frag. More girly than MP and ofcourse the lasting power is worse.

I really surprise that EDP version is more different than EDT version...No naughty here because this is more sweet and more sexy...And still interesting scent i really love this two version EDT for a day and EDP for a night...it's perfect combination!!
